Old Town Nessebar, also known as Nesebar, is a captivating UNESCO World Heritage Site situated on the coast of the Black Sea in Bulgaria. With a history spanning over 3,000 years, this ancient town seamlessly blends old-world charm with modern attractions. The architectural ensemble showcases well-preserved Bulgarian Renaissance structures that harmonize with the rocky peninsula.
We had a great walk around the old town, we hired a car and was unsure where to park but found out after a walk there is good parking right next to it. We did enjoy the walk across and got some good pictures of the windmill. There were many restaurants and the views were amazing definitely enough for a full day out.

This is a lovely old town. Beautiful buildings, old churches, UNESCO ruins. The town is vibrant and filled with little shops and restaurants. There are some unique gallery spaces as well. You can see artists creating the wears as they sell them. It was a very charming place to visit.

Nessebar Old Town is an absolutely charming and picturesque little place that feels like stepping back in time. It's a joy to wander through the narrow, cobblestone streets, which are shaded by beautiful trees, providing a welcome escape from the sun. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, perfect for a leisurely stroll. The town is filled with a fantastic variety of small shops and stalls selling all sorts of little treasures. You'll find everything from local crafts and handmade jewelry to quirky souvenirs. It's a great spot to find a unique memento to take home. With its stunning views, historic feel, and endless hidden corners to discover, Nessebar Old Town is truly a gem on the Black Sea coast.

Old Town Nessebar, located on a rocky peninsula along Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast, is a mesmerizing blend of history, architecture, and seaside charm. Often referred to as a “living museum,” Nessebar is one of the oldest towns in Europe, with a history dating back over 3,000 years. Its unique atmosphere and well-preserved heritage have earned it a place on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Wandering through Nessebar’s narrow cobblestone streets feels like stepping back in time. The town is famed for its impressive collection of medieval churches—more than 40 once stood here. Among the most notable are the Church of Christ Pantocrator and the Church of St. John the Baptist, showcasing intricate stone and brickwork that reflects Byzantine and Bulgarian architectural styles. The town’s wooden houses from the 18th and 19th centuries add to its romantic ambiance, many of which have been converted into charming shops, galleries, and restaurants. Despite its small size, Nessebar offers a rich cultural experience with folklore performances, craft markets, and local cuisine, especially fresh seafood and traditional Bulgarian dishes. Surrounded by the sea, the peninsula provides stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere. Its proximity to the modern resort of Sunny Beach makes it a popular day-trip destination, but its quieter pace makes it perfect for relaxed exploration. Old Town Nessebar is a place where the past meets the present—a coastal gem where ancient ruins, medieval churches, and vibrant local life coexist beautifully. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking history, culture, and coastal beauty.

Nice historic place full of interesting buildings but be beware of the hard sell by locals. The views over the sea are impressive on a sunny day. It is a UNESCO site so prices are a bit more expensive.
Mark B — Google review
Wow, What a beautiful town! As the name suggests"old town Nessebar" is an old town with beautiful ruins, charming buildings and full of history, a real shoppers paradise. It is a maze of tight alleyways each filled with an array of shops selling wonderful Bulgarian items from magnets to alcohol, pieces of art, clothing and lots more. Each turn leads you further into the maze which eventually opens to larger open spaces filled with more shops, restaurants and beautiful historical architecture. I was particularly impressed with the different artists dotted around proudly displaying their pieces for sale at very reasonable prices, and so couldn't resist the urge to purchase a couple from a very friendly local artist. We could have spent several days walking through this town, and the sights are truly breathtaking from all parts. We would definitely return to Bulgaria to visit here again. People with mobility issues may struggle with the large cobbled walkways, steps and its mostly uphill, I don't recall seeing an easier walking route.

Old Town Nessebar is one of the best locations from Nessebar city, Bulgaria. This island is situated on the Black Sea and represents the opportunity of Bulgaria. You can find a lot of restaurants with specific food and a lot of stores. You can come with your car because you can find the parking spot. History is a part of the owner and this place remains in our hearts. The food is amazing and they have a small beer factory. Everything is amazing and is very nice and clear. Enjoy one of the best locations from Nessebar.

Old town Nessebar is a place you must visit if you are nearby! It is so beautiful with old architecture and local shops and taverns, paintings, handmade products and lots of things to see! Chill place and family friendly one! Some things to make sure you know before visit: -its a bit expensive -overcrowded at the evenings -parking slots are cut and you have to come earlier to park in a paid parking or park your car in the new town and then come by foot as there can be extreme queues of cars Enjoy and spare at least a day to see everything - it's not big, but it's worth!!!

Aquapark Nessebar, also known as the Pearl of the Black Sea, is a must-visit outdoor waterpark in the Bulgarian town of Nessebar. This ancient town has a rich history and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The water park is one of the largest in Europe, covering 55,000 square meters and offering over 60 attractions including slides, water rivers, and paddling pools for visitors of all ages.
Fantastic Family Fun at Nessebar Aqua Park! We visited Nessebar Aqua Park in Bulgaria at the end of May into early June and had an absolutely brilliant time! The park is impressively large, with a fantastic range of slides and attractions to suit all ages — from thrilling rides for the adrenaline seekers to gentler areas for younger kids. There were excellent facilities throughout the park. The pools and play areas are well thought out, and there’s something for everyone, whether you're a toddler, teen, or adult. The sunbeds were plentiful and spread all around the park, so we never struggled to find a spot to relax. As guests staying at the affiliated hotel, we had access to the all-inclusive food options — and they didn’t disappoint! All-inclusive guests had an allocated restaurant situated at the far left of the food hall, which was very convenient. The selection included chips, chicken nuggets, chicken kebabs, other kebabs, burgers, and a fresh salad bar. Everything was really tasty and ideal for a day of fun in the sun. For drinks, there was a wide choice from refreshing mocktails and soft drinks to cocktails and local beer. The atmosphere at the park was lively and upbeat, with music playing constantly which really helped keep spirits high. The toilets and showers were impressively clean and clearly well-maintained, with staff regularly on hand to keep them spotless. Safety was also a priority — we saw plenty of lifeguards around the big slides and main children's area. The only small thing to note was that we didn’t see a lifeguard directly in the toddler/baby zone, which might be worth improving. The pools were a bit cold during our visit, but with the hot weather, it was still very refreshing and didn’t stop us from enjoying every minute. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday and will definitely be returning. Nessebar Aqua Park is a great day out and a highlight of any stay in the area!
Betty S — Google review
The lines at the slides were really long, but it is what it is, If you want to try the biggest ones you need to wait at least an hour which really exhausting. The paying system is good with the watch what they give you at the entrance, the park itself is really nice. Good staff.
Máté A — Google review
Absolute stunning place 😀 everyone is so friendly, the water resistant wrist bands are a genius idea (you put money on tbem). So safe and sound much to do. The staff there were incredible, we are returning as it was that good 👍
Kirsty T — Google review
One of the best Aqua Parks I've been in Europe. Fun day for kids in all ages and also for adults. Bars with drinks, ice creams and food almost on every corner. Is not overcrowded even on weekends. We had access to Water Park with our hotel stay, no matter what time we came, haven't been struggling to find a sun lounge. Very safe, any kid, even teenage can not exit without an adult. Security at all gates.
Natalia C — Google review
The park was great, so many different slides and quite a lot to do. Also you can't beat the BOGO happy hour from 2pm - 4pm for adults. My only feedback would be that they have a line for people who bout tickets in advance to get in quicker.
Logan — Google review
What an amazing hotel. It was so clean and well maintained. The pools and poolsides were cleaned every evening ready for the next day, we saw maintenance being done on some loose tiles pool side. Maintenance were on the ball... The Aqua park was spectacular , lots of staff and lifeguards. The slides and play areas and pools were fantastic. Music from the pirate ship was brilliant and kept you entertained with daily games. All inclusive was so easy, your Aqua park wristwatch was your key to everything available. Food, drinks, icecream and park entry at 10am. Security lockers needed paying for, 20 lev but you get half back. Restaurants at the hotel x 3. Fusion, Italian and the normal restaurant for daily use... the restaurant offered a huge range of food and drink at every mealtime. Including wine and beer. The staff all worked so hard to make sure your stay was perfect. Advising them I had allergies when I first arrived they bent over backwards to ensure I had plenty to eat, preparing separate meals for me. We had an amazing time at this hotel and will definitely return again, my grandchildren were never out of the water, the Purple people arranged games, the kids club, sports events, poolside games, quizzes, discos in the evening. There was also entertainment from 9.30pm in the Amphitheatre. We saw some fantastic shows, never the same one twice over 14 days. Children who didn't have siblings, soon found someone to play with. I cannot fault this place, it was definitely worth the money. I can't put everything in here but ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer. 😃
Jo-Anne F — Google review
The aqua park was good, although in hindsight we wouldn't go again in full season as was extremely busy... to get on any of the decent rides there was at least an hour's wait which was disappointing...other wise it was very good.. the watch system was a good idea for getting food etc.. watch out for idiots trying to skip the cues.. we saw quite a few.. They were pit in the their place very quickly ...
David P — Google review
We enjoyed this aquapark – there’s a great variety of slides in all sizes, and the place is kept nice and clean. On arrival you’re given a bracelet that you top up with money, as cash and cards aren’t accepted inside. It’s a clever system but a bit of a faff, since you have to guess how much you’ll need and then queue at the end to get any unused balance back. One downside is that no food is allowed in the park. Bags are checked, and even our small pack of biscuits was taken away (though returned at the end). It felt a little petty, especially as we’d happily have bought their food anyway. Overall though, it’s a fun and well-run place, and worth a visit if you’re looking for a good day out.

Nesebar Archaeological Museum is a must-visit in the Old Town, offering a rich collection of artifacts and medieval Christian icons. The exhibition 'Nessebar through the Ages' provides insights into the town's history from the time of the Thracians, Roman and Byzantine Empires to the Bulgarian state. Visitors can explore different halls showcasing its diverse historical periods. Additionally, nearby attractions like the Church of Saint Sofia and St.
During our short visit to Nesebar, we had the chance to explore the Archaeological Museum — and I’m so glad we did. I went with the kids, and even though our time was limited, the museum gave us a beautiful insight into the long, layered history of this ancient town. The exhibits are well-organized and easy to follow, even for children. From Greek pottery and Roman artifacts to early Christian relics, every room tells a story. It was amazing to see how many different civilizations passed through this small piece of land. We learned at the entrance that there’s an option to visit seven historical sites around the old town with a combined ticket. Due to time, we only chose the museum and St Stefan Church, which was also stunning — its frescoes left a real impression on all of us. Next time, I’d love to explore the rest of the sites and really dive deeper into Nesebar’s rich past. Even in a short visit, this museum made the history come alive. Highly recommend if you're visiting with children or have even just an hour or two to spare.

The Church of Saint John the Baptist is a must-see for architecture enthusiasts, as it dates back to the 10th century and boasts a unique design. The domed cruciform church features two intersecting cylindrical vaults, with a cylindrical dome sitting above the intersection. The altar includes three semi-circular apses, and the dome is supported by four massive pillars.
The Church of St. John the Baptist is a domed cruciform church, built of undressed stone. It is one of the best preserved churches in Nessebar. It is 12 meters long and 10 meters wide. The structure of the church consists of two cylindrical vaults which intersect in the center of the composition. The masonry is crushed stone and pebbles and the facades were probably smoothly plastered. It was built in the 11th century.[1] It has no narthex.[2] The altar space consists of three semi-circular apses. Four massive pillars support the dome and form the cross. Inside the church the walls are smooth and unbroken. The exterior is simple without decorative niches and ceramic plaques, typical of the ornamental style. Bricks were used as a decorative element over the entrance, in the jagged cornices and around the windows.

The Old Windmill, also known as Stary wiatrak, is a prominent landmark located at the entrance to Nessebar's old town. Despite being in ruins, it serves as a reminder of the area's historical significance and offers picturesque views for visitors. Adjacent to the windmill are captivating church ruins that add to the allure of the site. Visitors can take a moment to relax in the garden area and admire the scenery from benches provided.
You can visit it while walking around Nessebar. Great views.

The old windmill isn't much to look at as the ruins however keeps the history alive of the way things worked here in the early centuries. The nearby church ruins are a little more interesting. I did enjoy the view. There are some benches and a garden area you can rest and look out from, which was a nice touch.

(Translated by Google) Another lonely old tower in Nessebar. According to the inscription, it should be understood that this was a former windmill, although there are no distinctive signs - wings left. It stands near the Black Sea coast, from this place there are excellent panoramic views of the beach, the sea, the settlements of the Sunny Beach Bay. As is known, Nessebar is one of the oldest cities in Europe. The city also has other ancient building walls, medieval fortifications, churches. Since 1983. Nessebar has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. (Original) Dar vienas vienišas senas bokštas Nessebare. Sveti Spas, also known as the Church of the Holy Savior, is a small single-nave church constructed in the 17th century during the Ottoman era. Due to restrictions on Christian temple heights at that time, it was built below ground level with an elongated structure and sloping roof resembling a barn. The interior boasts captivating frescoes depicting scenes from Christ's and the Holy Virgin's lives.
Try to take your time. Smile at the old grumpy lady that guards the place. Remember her life is not one of bliss and so you will find a smile in your soul and maybe make her smile too.

(Translated by Google) Absolutely atypical church. The explanations say that it is a pseudo-basilica building with a gable roof. Apparently, it is. The masonry of the walls is Ottoman masonry from broken stone. Not opus mixtum, not Byzantine masonry, but precisely Ottoman masonry. The greatest value is the 17th century frescoes, which are here on various motifs. Among them, one of the oldest symbols of Christianity - the image of Oranta - attracts attention.

(Translated by Google) THE CHURCH OF HOLY SAVIOR is a single-nave and single-apse church with a length of 11.70 m and a width of 5.70 m. Once a narrow and long narthex ran along the entire northern side, and with it the width of the church was 9.80 m. The wooden eaves-shaped roof is without cladding on the inside. The eastern facade was half dug into the ground. It was built in 1609 with the funds of a wealthy Nessebar citizen during the time of Metropolitan Cyprian. This is clear from the donation inscription located above the southern entrance. Inside the church is completely frescoed by an unknown master and this was done at the beginning of the 17th century. The frescoes recreate episodes from the life of Christ and the Virgin Mary. In the apse is painted the scene: "The Virgin Mary - the vast heavens with the Child". The tombstone of the Byzantine princess Mataisa Kantakouzena Paleologina was kept in the floor of the church for many years, and can now be seen in the Archaeological Museum.

Messembria, located in Nessebar, Bulgaria, offers a delightful wine tasting experience. For a reasonable price, visitors can sample six local wines paired with a generous cheese and charcuterie board. The cozy bar exudes an authentic atmosphere and the knowledgeable staff are eager to share insights into Bulgaria's wine history. The wines on offer are described as dry, elegant, and comparable to those from renowned French vineyards.
Amazing experience! Very knowledgeable people who are passionate about wine. I recommend getting a wine tasting for 20 BGN per person - you will receive a set of 6 wines to try, tailored to your taste (based on your preferences) and an overview about the wine in the glass. The tasting comes with a local cheese plate and is absolutely delicious! If you want to know more about Bulgarian wine and history of some of the best grapes around various regions of Bulgaria - this is the place to go. Bought a couple of bottles and would definitely come back.

I had a tasting session at 1100hrs and was hosted by the fantastic Maria. Her selection of wines were great and she explained each one so well. She pointed to the wine region on a map and why the grape had distinct characteristics from that region. Her delivery was great in English so can only assume shes delivers better in Bulgarian. Which is hard to believe. All in all great wines, fantastic staff, good atmosphere and a brilliant experience for all who visit Nesebar.

The Windmill in Nessebar is a well-preserved historic wooden structure located at the entrance of the old town, symbolizing the city's antiquity. Although not currently accessible from the inside, it offers a picturesque backdrop for photography against the ancient buildings. Visitors can freely admire its beauty and take memorable photos. The windmill stands as one of the few surviving structures of its kind in Nessebar and serves as a popular attraction for tourists exploring this 'Pearl of Bulgaria.'
You are a witness to time, we are lucky that such structures have survived to this day. One of the places you must see on the island.

You can also go out on to the balcony when you go up the stairs and has a selection of artifacts to see. Worth a visit if your in the area.

I visited the restaurant with my wife and kids, as part of the South Tour today; old town in Sozopol is really beautiful, lunch was served with a salad, soup, main meal and dessert; all was really nice; my son who is a fussy eater, enjoyed his meal and the ice cream too: definitely worth a visit. It didn’t get 5 stars because one of the waiters was engaging but other wasn’t and there was no smile or nothing.

The windmill is emblematic of the city of Nessebar and is a kind of symbol of the city. It is located on the bridge between the old and the new town in Nessebar. Benches have been built around the authentic windmill that remains from the Turkish era, and the view of the sea adds even greater beauty, which is why it is the most visited and preferred place by both locals and guests of the country. Up to the second floor of the windmill, you reach a massive staircase where there was once a living room, and on the third floor there was a work room.

A beautifully restored historic landmark, open to visitors. Currently open every day between 9 and 19 hours. Adult ticket 4 leva (2 euros), children's ticket 2 leva (1 euro). When buying tickets, it is advisable to buy a combination ticket, which also allows you to visit other museums in Nessebar. The inside of the mill has not been restored to its original purpose, I would rather call it the entrance hall of the Archaeological Museum. The balcony is accessible, but the door is difficult to open.

The Западна крепостна стена in Old Nessebar is a well-maintained and fascinating site to visit. The ruins of the old town offer an intriguing glimpse into its centuries-old history, with fortress walls and facilities that made the peninsula inaccessible. The first settlers, the Thracians, began fortifying their settlement in the 8th century BC, leaving behind a preserved fortress wall from that time.
excellent place that has to be visited if you are in Nessebar or nearby, admission is free, full of handicrafts, souvenirs, historical places, ruins, restaurant, a marina...speechless, worth visiting, appropriate to go with children Fe all ages and you can bring your baby's car. Easily accessible by car, there are free parking spaces on the street or at the entrance and there is also public transport.

During the centuries-old existence of the city, fortress walls and facilities were repeatedly built, which made the peninsula inaccessible. The first attested settlers of the peninsula - the Thracians, began to strengthen their settlement in the 8th century BC. A fortress wall from that time was uncovered along with the gate on the northwest bank. It was built of crushed stone and mud and has been preserved at a height of about 2 meters.

We loved Nessebar - very quaint little town close to the very abrasive strip of Sunny Beach. We did visit the museum by the front of the town - and didn't think it gave us much of a background into the town and it's history. The Church Dormition of Theotokos is a popular destination for locals who visit on August 15th to see the Black Madonna, an icon painting of the Virgin Mary and infant Jesus. Visitors come to pray for good health and fortune, as they believe that the Black Mary has the power to chase away evil spirits. Nessebar also boasts other historical churches such as the Church of St Theodore and the Church of Christ Pantocrator, which now houses an art gallery.
The whole Nesebar is beautiful. First it is completely under protection of UNESCO and therefore, complex is clean, well arranged and well covered with signs and directions. Apart from churches and other old objects that should be seen, there are lot of nice restaurants with typical traditional dishes that are very tasty. Its quite crowd during the summer since the most famous summer destinations in Bulgaria are in close proximity.

Most powerful and mystical church I've ever experienced in Bulgaria. This place carries an energy that's impossible to ignore, centered around the famous Black Madonna icon with its dramatic history of theft and miraculous returns. The atmosphere: There's something genuinely otherworldly here. Visitors in the right mindset report seeing figures of saints or experiencing such intense spiritual encounters that thoughts linger for weeks afterward. The energy is palpable and unsettling in the best possible way. Fair warning: If you're spiritually sensitive, prepare for a profound experience. This isn't your typical tourist church visit - the place has a magnetic quality that either draws you in completely or leaves you deeply affected. Best for: Spiritually inclined visitors, those seeking profound experiences, anyone drawn to places with genuine mystical atmosphere.

when we (me, mother in law, wife and 3 kids) went to the church... we were thrown out as it was a "sanitary" day (after the city day celebration) by a very rude and uncivilized lady... who shouted at us... when we told her to keep her tone in front of the kids she even became more angry and started calling us names... this is a holy place... not a place to shout at people... ask me when i am going back there... NEVER... most uncomfortable place to visit... if you want to loose faith in religion and humans... go there...

ECO-Bar By Michael is a one-of-a-kind establishment with an interior designed to resemble a stalactite cave, creating a unique and captivating atmosphere. The bar features tables and chairs nestled among hanging lime icicles of various shapes, with water streams flowing between them into a small reservoir adorned with lush greenery and inhabited by small turtles. This hidden gem offers a perfect setting to relax and enjoy the city's sights, offering an impressive menu, refreshing drinks, and excellent coffee.
I had a simple Alaskan Sundae and a pina colada. Reasonably priced. The atmosphere and setting is truly wonderful, cosy and almost magical. Would be amazing after dark and the perfect place for a romantic date. Look out for the turtles in the back pool but look, don't touch.

Really nice little bar. You can't order food here, it's strictly drinks only. The area is quite small and there may be a wait outside before you can enter due to limited tables and space. It's a fun little spot and really pleasant to sit in with the small turtle pool and waterfall. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here as it's just a drinks bar, but if it's on your tick list it's a nice little place to pop into and experience.

A bit of a hidden gem amongst some underwhelming bars in the area. Before you go in you do think it's a run of the mill bad, but when you go in you're greeted with cool looking, cave-like seating area, and when you go in further you're greeted with a hidden oasis with other small seating areas; each with some small tables made of slate and a waterfall going through. Should be a little cheaper maybe? And perhaps some chilled music that matches the mood?.. Highly recommend.

Why not take the opportunity to take a drink from this well preserved water fountain, complete with drinking bowl. As you meander through the ancient streets take the time to have yourself a photograph here. A lot has changed in the way we live our lives these days so it's good to find gems like this to bring back a reality check of how far we have come and sometimes how far we haven't. While part of the beach is a paid zone with sun loungers and umbrellas available for rent, it offers stunning views of the ancient city of Nessebar.
Relatively clean - the sand is not perfect, but the water is great, the seabottom is with slight slope, as well. Could easily find space at first line in the free zone if you come by 9:30. Even later, it doesn't get too crowded. There are some beach bars, but they aren't too noisy.

The Oldest city of Europe - Unesco world heritage centre !! The maze of cobblestone streets encourages aimless wandering through the historic city, contained within a small rocky peninsula jutting out into the Black Sea. Once you enter the narrow gate in the ancient fortress wall, you’ll find yourself in a remarkable neighbourhood with memories from thousands of years of civilisation. The trading atmosphere lives on with street vendors selling art and handicrafts throughout the town. The city is proud of its ancient history and holds on to its cultural traditions, hosting an impressive line up of festivals and events throughout the year.

DO NOT GO THERE I was relaxing on the beach just before 6 PM when a machine came through to even out the sand. Shockingly, the operator came dangerously close to running over me while I was still lying down. There was no warning, no announcement, and clearly no proper safety procedure in place. This is completely unacceptable and incredibly unsafe. Beachgoers deserve to feel safe, not at risk of being run over by heavy machinery. Serious changes need to be made to how this is handled. Not to mention how bad the beach is overall and the water dirty.

One of the better beaches in Bulgaria. Although rather small and almost always packed, there are enough paid umbrellas and deck chairs for about 6EUR per day. The sand is clean but shallow. Go for the South Beach Bar as they serve drinks and cooked food throughout the day (it’s right next to the motorboats).

The Ancient Theatre in Nessebar is a significant historical site with magnificent views. Dating back to the 2nd or 3rd century, it was used for citizen meetings, voting, and theatrical performances. Despite its ancient origins, the theatre is well-preserved and still in use today. Visitors can sit on the steps and immerse themselves in the spirit of ancient times while enjoying the beautiful surroundings by the sea.
Beautiful seaside ancient site. Great to see families around and live performances, enjoying the view of the waves and the caress of the breeze.

Not a big open air theatre but very interesting. No entry fee. Beautiful to sit and relax. Be mindful there's little shade from the sun in the summer. Worth visiting.

Amazing weather, great surroundings, the sea is right besides - everything creates a perfect scenery if a play or a show is put on the stage. Even though this outdoor theater is ancient, it's in good condition, and it's still in use.

Cook's Club Sunny Beach is a trendy hotel located in Statiunea Sunny Beach, Bulgaria, just 4.6 kilometers from Nessebar. It offers sea views and features two outdoor pools, making it an ideal place for morning relaxation or unwinding after a day at the nearby beach. The hotel's location is perfect for those looking to enjoy the vibrant nightlife of the resort area. Guests can easily access the beach and nearby beach clubs within a short 5-minute walk from the hotel.
Had an awesome stay! The food was great with a nice selection that changed every day. The rooms were cleaned daily, and everything felt really well taken care of. There were always enough sunbeds by the pools, which was a big plus. Big thanks to the two animation guys. They made the whole trip so much fun with all the activities. Super friendly and always full of energy. Thanks for making our holiday great!

Great hotel, everything is at a high level. The conditions are solid 9/10, the food is incredibly tasty and varied. Location is awesome, very close to the sea. Most of all I would like to mention the service. Friendly and charming waitresses at breakfast do their job very well. They always have a smile on their faces, are polite and positive! The staff are well spoken and knowledgeable, it was easy to communicate. Among the minuses, I can single out thin walls and a violation of the food neighbourhood. We will definitely come again, thanks Sunny beach club!
Google review
Extremely Disappointed – Not Worth the Hype! I’m extremely disappointed by this hotel, especially after reading so many positive reviews that completely misrepresent the reality we experienced. Let me start with the positives: the hotel is beautiful on the inside, the rooms are clean, and the housekeeping is impeccable—no complaints there. The food is average, nothing special, but also nothing terrible. However, the services and overall treatment were absolutely unacceptable. We arrived at 11:00 a.m., knowing this is supposed to be an all-inclusive hotel for which you pay the full price. I completely understand that check-in is at 2:30 p.m. and that the rooms might not be ready until then. But the issue is that we were not even given our all-inclusive wristbands until 2:30 p.m., meaning we were not allowed to eat or drink unless we paid extra. This is outrageous for an all-inclusive hotel! Having worked in the hospitality industry in Egypt and being familiar with how proper all-inclusive hotels operate, I can honestly say this policy is unacceptable. What shocked me even more is that while we were left without food or water under the sun, other guests—especially those speaking Bulgarian, Russian, Ukrainian, or languages from the Balkan region—were given their wristbands or even their rooms right away at 11:00 a.m. This felt like clear discrimination based on nationality or language. Absolutely disgraceful. The second major issue: towel service. You have to pay a €10 deposit per person to get a towel, something that was not mentioned anywhere before booking. And to make things worse, you can’t pay by card—only in cash! This creates additional fees and inconvenience. After waiting over 30 minutes at a crowded reception with only one person working, I finally received the towel cards, only to be told I had to collect them from the guard. I went to the guard, and he told me he wouldn’t be working again for another three hours. Ridiculous! Honestly, I spent more time dealing with reception than enjoying the sun on my holiday. Avoid this hotel at all costs if you don’t want to waste your time, energy, and money. I’m someone who is generally very respectful, patient, and understanding—but this experience pushed all my limits. If even someone like me had such a hard time, I can only imagine how frustrating it would be for others.
Aurélia P — Google review
I stayed at this hotel last week and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Despite booking an all-inclusive package, I was surprised to learn that parking was not included and I had to pay extra just to park at the hotel. The amenities were also far below expectations. For 4 people staying 4 nights, the room was provided with only one small bottle of shampoo—which was meant for both body and hair. There was no toothpaste or other basic toiletries provided, which was quite inconvenient. The food was another letdown. The quality was poor, and most of the options were heavily based on pork, which made the variety very limited. For an all-inclusive hotel, I expected better quality and a wider selection. Overall, I do not feel the hotel delivered the value or service promised under an all-inclusive package, and I would not recommend it to others.
Blendi S — Google review
Clean, staff friendly and professional. We opted for the breakfast included rather than full all inclusive and we enjoyed the varied breakfast options from fresh pancakes, to honey comb on the rack. If you’re someone who likes a last bit of summer sun while avoiding loads of people come in late September before they close for the winter. I imagine it gets quite busy in the height of the summer, as you walk onto the beach from the hotel. Rooms were clean, tidy, minimally furnished without lacking. Shower pressure even on the 4th floor could take off skin (it was glorious, and easily adjusted) Only thing to moan about was the rooms facing the ocean get the sound from the music around the pools coming through until it is all turned off at 23:00. Even my trusty ear plugs were of little help. Buses for less than 10Lev per person to Burgas, stops at Nessebar, Pommorie, Aheloy. We did plan to go to Varna one day but ran out of time. Taking a picture of the bus schedules helped immensely as they’re not available online.
Ben H — Google review
A horrible experience, this place should be shut down immediately. We were served raw chicken and moldy bread, and by the third day of our holiday all four people in our group had food poisoning. They were also recycling old food from the previous days. I cannot stress enough how disgusting and inedible the food was. The restaurant area was a health hazard on its own, with wasps swarming all over the food. (The attached photo was taken on a “good” day, usually the situation was far worse.) The so-called “spa” facilities were appalling: the indoor pool and jacuzzi were not only freezing cold but also filthy. The towels provided were stained, and our room had spiders crawling around. The drinks were just as bad: watery, tasteless, and made with the cheapest alcohol available, if any at all (Most of the time, the cocktails seemed to not even contain a drop of alcohol in them) To make matters worse, we were charged 120 for “parking,” which turned out to be nothing more than a patch of dirt under a tree, where our car got invaded by ants. When we raised our concerns with the front desk manager, we were met with sarcasm instead of solutions. If you value your health, safety, or basic respect as a guest, stay away from this hotel at all costs.

Despite being small and cozy, it's perfect for families with kids due to its clean sand and calm water.
Beautiful sandy beach with lovely clear water. If you choose to have 2 loungers and a parasol its 15 lev which is about £7.50 doesnt get too busy either. There is also a bar with drink and snack facilities and plenty of activities including parasailing, banana boats, pedlows, jet ski and more.

I have finally took a plunge and did DSD course while on holidays in Nessebar, Bulgaria. The course was straightforward, with no pressure and friendly instructuctors. After a brief but detailed intros we have proceeded for a diving session to explore local underwater scenery. The water was warm, and clear, we saw some crabs, and plenty of fishes
Tymon T — Google review
We've chosen this diving center occasionally and now realize how lucky we are. This was my fist diving experience, completing PADI OWD course with Ivelin as Instructor in 4 days full of new information and practice 🙂. The diving center is located in a wonderful place of the old town of Nessebar, it is close both to the pier with boats and the shore for the shallow water dives - you won't need to carry your gear for too long. Education is conducted with no rush, with attention to details and in a friendly atmosphere 👍. You even don't need to be fluent in English to understand the explanation and underwater guidence, as it is unambiguous if you follow the Instructor. Yet, to be honest, there are not really many underwater sights to see, but as a first experience (not only first, just talking about myself), and education as a target, as it was for me, I'd 100% recommend you this dive center. Many thanks to Ivelin and Veronica!

Had a good dive with these guys! They were really friendly and helpful. I did two dives on a Sunday to two shipwrecks. The instructor was nice and professional, and the sites were interesting, though not particularly special. I have a few points for improvement: 1. They didn’t inform me it was cash-only, which meant I had to get more money from an ATM and incurred 11 euros in transaction fees. 2. The drive was quite long, around 1.5 hours, which is more than I’m used to. 3. Lunch isn’t included in the price, and you have to bring your own snacks and water. They do stop at a gas station, but for 110 euros for 2 dives, I think some snacks and water should be included. Despite these points, it was a good experience overall.

The lady inside was lovely, not pushy at all but observant enough to be helpful. Will be back again one day when I have more money and in the area x Thank you!

Last year I bought a few unique - unique in terms of excellent design and quality but also because they were made in one copy only - items from this interesting shop. I have worn them with great pleasure and have received many compliments on them. Unfortunately, I broke a silver bracelet as I probably opened it too widely while putting it on. I contacted the shop and they immediately offered to repair it, at no charge. It is now back with me in Brussels, in perfect condition. So, the owners propose not only extremely beautiful jewels, but also first class service. A rare thing nowadays. I can therefore recommend that any jewel lover going to Nesebar pay a visit to this place. Solange Léonard, Brussels

I’m writing this to warn future guests about the hotel-arranged taxi service and how my concern was handled. I booked a hotel partner taxi from the hotel to the train station for a fixed 90 leva. Before leaving, the driver and I confirmed both the price and that I could pay by credit card. Mid-ride, he tried to increase the fare well above the agreed amount and insisted I withdraw cash from an ATM. The photo I am attaching shows the metered rate the taxi driver threatened to charge at 4.5 leva per kilometer. I had a train to catch and it felt like he was exploiting that urgency. When I refused and said I would only pay the agreed 90 leva, he became aggressive and yelled racist insults. My girlfriend is still visibly shaken from the event. I immediately called reception to report what happened and to warn that other guests could be targeted. Unfortunately, my concern was dismissed quickly, and I was left with the impression that nothing would be done, even though this driver appears to work closely with the hotel. This felt unsafe and not guest-first. I hope management stops using drivers who behave like this, and trains staff to take harassment reports seriously. Until then, I’d strongly recommend arranging your own transport and getting the price and payment method confirmed in writing. It’s unfortunate that we had this encounter at the end of an otherwise great weekend at the hotel.

(Translated by Google) We stayed here for eleven days in the middle of summer, and three things immediately stood out: 1. The rooms in the main building do not have air conditioning, only a fan. This means sweating at night. 2. Don't forget mosquito repellent, because in the evening you will be punctured completely, sometimes right through your shirt. See photo 😟 3. The free visit to the adjacent aqua park is great. The hotel itself is beautiful, sleek and neat, with beautiful swimming pools, although the water is quite cold. The beds are comfortable, but the standard cleaning leaves much to be desired; Surfaces are skipped if there are items on them, such as books. It helps if you hang the cleaning card on your door. The staff is young and seems unfriendly, possibly because making contact is difficult or not encouraged. The food is okay, but the restaurant is very busy in the morning. If you come after 9 a.m., it will be difficult to find a table. We often went around 9:50 am when it quieted down, but by then some items had already run out or had cooled. This also applies to dinner. If you have been to all-inclusive hotels in Spain or Turkey before, you will discover some new dishes here. There is plenty to do within the park during the day and in the evening, which is necessary because there is little to do outside. Tips for excursions include the local beach (15 minutes walk), old Nessebar, the camel park and Sunny Beach. Ps. Check-out is at 11am. Then you also hand in your towels and your wristband for the swimming park. That is not very customer friendly.
Jarno K — Google review
(Translated by Google) The resort is beautiful and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, including the cleaners. At this resort, you do find a few empty spots by the pool every day. Food in the restaurant was constantly replenished, and finding an empty table wasn't a problem. A downside is that you only have one large bottle of water in your room, which you have to refill at the bar downstairs. The refrigerator is usually stocked with canned soft drinks at an all-inclusive resort, but unfortunately, this wasn't the case at the resort itself. The price charged by the resort to travel to the city is also expensive. I recommend renting a car, which we did for three days. We took a tour to the Galleria Mall and Sunny Beach and the surrounding area. The roads are easy to drive because they are all straight.

This charming shop offers an impressive array of ceramics that reflect both traditional craftsmanship and contemporary designs. The vibrant colors and unique shapes stand out against mass-produced souvenirs typically found elsewhere. Here, you can find high-quality pieces made by local artists, ensuring your purchase is not just visually appealing but also functional.
The only shop with a high quality pottery from locals - not just "souvenirs" from cheap material and of uniformed design. I was very happy to see here a contemporary items, bright colours and unique shapes nearby the traditional forms. No photos allowed in the shop!

I was in this store in October 2024, and I was impressed by the quality of the merchandise you can buy. Besides the owner is a really friendly person and has all the patience and knowledge of what is in the store. I recommend this place 💯%

The shop assistant (maybe owner) was behaving rude. He was not happy when I bought only magnet for 2,50 lv. His behaviour was strange. By the way - the mass produced souvenirs he sells are cheaper in other shops when you will go further.

Such beautiful handmade pottery could have spent a fortune if I had the luggage allowance

Great wine at a reasonable price. There are several outdoor tables to sit. I ended up buying two bottles to take home. The staff is very friendly — the lady let us taste different wines before choosing.

You can take it with you, and also drink it on the spot from a glass. (Original)
