Koza Han, also known as Cocoon Han, is a historic silk market with stunning Ottoman-era architecture and a wide range of retailers. This multilevel han was built at the end of the 15th century by architect Abdul Ula Bin Pulad Shah under the orders of Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II. The han served as an inn for merchants and consists of two courtyards, barns, warehouses, and 95 rooms.
Beautiful building. Courtyard offered a serene place for a cup of tea. Bazaar style shopping to be had around the outside of building. Inside had lil shops with silk scarves and delicates. Fresh fruits and veggies galore a lil further down. Enjoyed this explorer day alot!
Hana S — Google review
Visiting friends in Bursa for the Adha holiday, I was invited, among other places, to experience the special atmosphere of this charming place, the Koza Han, where people flock from various places in Turkey and around the city. It’s a huge courtyard where cafés and other shops abound, each offering their unique coffee flavor, sweets or food. We settled in one corner overlooking the yard, and waited patiently for what proved to be the best Turkish coffee I’ve tasted to date: Gözde kahve (favorite coffee). What makes it unique is the way it’s prepared slowly over coal, the way one would barbecue. The server brought the trays carrying the empty cups (each of a different color), as well as water and loukoum, a local tradition, which I find endearing. Later, when the coffee was ready, he brought each separately in a copper coffee pot, made differently to meet each of our tastes (sweet, black, half sugar). Just sitting there and observing the crowd around gives one a sense of serenity and calm, something we needed at the end of a very busy and tiring day. People sitting and chatting, others mulling around, the smell of coffee brewing hanging in the air, it’s all a pleasure one has to experience. I would definitely recommend for everyone who gets the chance to enjoy 😊 this treat.
Maha M — Google review
It might be a historical place. But it is occupied by cafes. And everyone smokes here. You can feel vibe of smoking heaven. If there are not many cafes here like now, it would be much beautiful and great place than now.
Mothusi — Google review
Beautiful place with shops specialized in different things but mostly silk. Ambient is nice. There is very small masjid in the middle from 2hich you can take more panoramic pics and videos fir the place. I gave it 4 instead of 5 because only being small but there several other Han beside it so you can walk for longer time and see other shops but most importantly enjoy the sepcial vibe there.
Sherif M — Google review
Koza Han is a beautiful historical place in the heart of Bursa. The atmosphere is peaceful, full of history, and surrounded by lovely shops and cafés. You can enjoy Turkish tea under the trees and feel the spirit of the old Silk Road.
Nafise S — Google review
A very cute inn with a tiny mosque in the middle, inside there are shops selling mostly textile products, and there are also small cafes where you can drink tea and coffee.
Baran A — Google review
Pretty place, but most stores sell only stoles, nothing much to shop here.
Sarayu P — Google review
Enjoyed hot chocolate and from one of the little cafes and it was aglow with so many shops selling silk scarfs, wraps and dresses 😍

A very much nice place. Entrance is only 2 liras, you can use the bus card to go in. The place is nice and clean and the music playing all the time was very nice too. Walking inside was organised as well, you need to follow the foot signs on the ground to walk through it. The only problem was that all instructions were in Turkish language only.

Small museum yet having a rich collection of Roman era artefacts found in the area. There are several rooms - sarcofagus area (each of the marble plate has QR code next to it where the markings are translated), busts and statues area, pottery and amphoras area, coins area. There are also some relics outside of the building. The museum is free and located in a very beautiful parc where you can have a stroll before or after visiting it.

The Muradiye Complex, located just a short walk west of the Bursa Castle remains, is a historically rich site that includes the Muradiye Mosque, built in 1426 under Sultan Murat II. The complex also features a madrasa and the tombs of sultans. The mosque's architecture is reminiscent of Bursa's Green Mosque and boasts a garden filled with domed tombs that narrate the early Ottoman Empire's turbulent history and succession struggles.
Beautiful complex of mosque, mausolea, old medressa (now museum). If you watch Magnificent Century, you'll know some of those buried here.

Great historical place with tumbs of Ottoman sultans. Great view of the city
Shadae T — Google review
This complex is set in pleasant gardens with a small cafe for refreshments. The mosque with the is very impressive, commissioned by Sultan Murad ll it contains 12 tombs(türbe)most belonging to the relatives of the Sultan. The mosque was completed in 1426, fire damaged the mosque in early 18th century, and one of the minarets collapsed due to an earthquake in the 19th century.,. The complex houses a Madrasa, Bath, and Maradiye Hospice. The Madrasa (school) is now a museum. It was the last complex built by an Ottoman Sultan in Bursa, Murad ll what is the father of Mehmet, the conqueror. Some of the tombs have is Iznik tiles. The museum has beautiful copies of the Quran. I found this to be a beautiful and relaxing place, despite the fact it must attract many tourists and local people.
Carole J — Google review
The Complex of Sultan Murad II was the highlight of my Bursa visit. The interior of the mosque is one of the nicest we have visited in Turkey. There are a dozen tombs in the complex and these are immaculately restored. There is quite a variation in the burial plots and the decorations in each. We were pleased we visited this place and the walk through the neighborhood was also interesting. Highly recommended.

🕌 A must-see place in Bursa! Ulu Cami (Grand Mosque) is one of the finest examples of early Ottoman architecture. The atmosphere inside is peaceful, and the historical details are truly impressive. A perfect spot to take photos and feel the spirit of history.
Медина Н — Google review
The Ulu Cami Mosque is an absolute must-see! If you visit Bursa, this magnificent mosque should definitely be on your list. It was commissioned by Sultan Bayezid I after his victory at the Battle of Nicopolis in 1396 and completed around 1399. The mosque was designed by the famous architect Ali Neccar, and it stands as one of the finest examples of early Ottoman architecture. Built in the Seljuk multi-dome style, it features 20 domes supported by massive pillars, a design that symbolically reflects the Sultan’s vow to build twenty mosques, which he instead fulfilled by constructing one grand mosque with twenty domes. As its name suggests, the “Great Mosque” is truly majestic, richly decorated with intricate calligraphy, geometric motifs, and a central fountain used for ablution. Ulu Cami marks an important transition between the Seljuk and classical Ottoman styles, blending simplicity, symmetry, and spiritual harmony.

This tomb belongs to Mehmet Çelebi Sultan, one of the sultans of the Ottoman empire. There are a few other tombs that belong to the sons and daughters of the sultan. The architecture of this tomb complex reflects Ottoman style. As it is a holy place, dressing modestly is recommended.

The Green Tomb is renowned for its extraordinary and stunning decoration, both inside and out. Its walls are adorned with beautifully crafted tiles that showcase intricate designs and vibrant colors, enhancing its visual appeal. The tomb is the final resting place of Mehmed I, the fifth Ottoman Sultan. It was built by his son and successor, Mehmed II, who decided to lavish more decoration on it than most other structures of the time. Ideally located nearby, both the Green Mosque and the Green Tomb are easily accessible, making them perfect to visit together. Their close proximity offers visitors a seamless opportunity to explore two of Bursa’s most treasured Ottoman landmarks.

💚The Green Tomb (Yeşil Türbe) is one of Bursa’s most iconic landmarks and the resting place of Sultan Mehmed I, who reunited the Ottoman Empire after a civil war. The turquoise and emerald tiles covering the exterior are breathtaking and symbolize peace and heaven. It’s located just next to the Green Mosque, making both easy to visit together.

Visitors can explore alleyways lined with locals selling crafts and merchandise while immersing themselves in the heritage. I visited in February so it was not crowded at all. It was an actual journey back in time. The village is a beautifully preserved Ottoman site of over 700 years old, offering a true glimpse into history. The cobblestone streets, colorful wooden houses, and authentic village atmosphere made me feel like stepping into another era. The locals are warm and welcoming, and everybody was trying the traditional Turkish breakfast here. As a UNESCO site it’s a fantastic place for history lovers, photographers, and anyone looking to experience authentic Ottoman charm. Local produce was incredible, especially wool-made traditional clothing.

A quiet and charming place, blending the past with the present. Most people visit for breakfast and to spend time inside the old traditional houses. It was nice experience but walking on odd leveled stone road there is very tiring and bit tortuous for old people. Please wear well coushioned sports shoes only if you plan to come here. It'll very crowded on weekends, so stay together and well connected if you are in a group. Enjoy the local crafts and jewelry for ladies.

It is worth to visit here. If you take on No.2 subway, yon should drop off at Cumalikizik station. Then, take a Dolmus to the village(if you ask to anyone in the street, they will tell you. Nestled within the picturesque Soganli Botanical Park in Bursa, Turkey, Bursa Zoo is a delightful destination for families and wildlife lovers alike. This charming zoo showcases an impressive array of global species, including majestic giraffes, powerful lions, playful zebras, and even grizzly bears. Designed with animal welfare in mind, the zoo offers spacious habitats that mimic natural environments while providing visitors with an engaging experience. Bursa Zoo goes beyond just observing animals; it serves as a hub for education and conservation.
This is the biggest zoo I ever visited. It just keeps going. Very unique experience and a MUST if you went to Bursa. You will see too many animals, you could see some animals for the first time. There were many school kids everywhere, I didn't get annoyed, but some people may not prefer that. There were trees, but there weren't many shades, so make sure to visit on cloudy or cool days, not a sunny day.

A lush green Zoo with many animals and species protected in a beautiful manner. In Bursa, one of the main attractions with your family and kids. An affordable entry fee of 40L with large parking outside and many refreshments inside. The highlight is this maintained greenish botanical garden and pavements lead you to walk to explore this open zoo without any tiresome. Spent 3-4 hours watching the animals and their lives in fantastic weather. A must go place in Bursa.

Bursa Zoo was fine but not very impressive. Some animals looked a bit sad, and a few spots had an unpleasant smell. There were some cute animals to see, though. Overall, it could be better. The ticket price (50 lira) was fair.🦒🦚🐆🦁🦏🦙

Its a great zoo. We drove from İstanbul and the animal variety is amazing. Its very cheap as well. We paid 24 TL each to enter. My fav animal was the giraffe. Definetly recommended.

the animals are cute and there's a great variety of them. my only problem were the shops inside. the ice cream man was incredibly rude and the ice cream was overpriced and didn't taste good. I would go again but I'd recommend bringing your own snacks

Pretty average zoo, great for what it is. I do recommend if you are in the area with kids and have nothing to do. I don’t think it’s the best zoo that you can go to as an adult but your kids will enjoy. I do appreciate the benches and shops. Although some sections were closed so we didn’t get to see all the animals unfortunately

Tophane Clock Tower is a striking 15-meter-tall neoclassical structure that was reconstructed in 1905. Originally built as a fire tower, it has become a popular attraction for both local and Arab tourists, partly due to the city's natural beauty and its prominence in Turkish movies and TV series. The area around the clock tower is rich in historical sites, including the tombs of Osman Ghazi and Orhan Ghazi, the founding fathers of the Ottoman Empire.
Totally worth it! If not for the historical monuments then at least just for the fantastic view of old town Bursa with its beautiful old mosques and bazaars, and the gorgeous mountainside.

Nestled in the heart of Bursa, Reşat Oyal Culture Park is a delightful escape for both locals and visitors alike. Established in 1955, this expansive park spans an impressive 393 thousand square meters and serves as the city's first major green space. With its serene boating pond surrounded by charming tea gardens, restaurants, and bars, it’s the perfect spot to unwind. Families can enjoy various attractions including playgrounds and carnival rides while taking leisurely boat rides on the tranquil lake.
Reşat Oyal Culture Park: During my Eid break, I went to this park. The total area of Reşat Oyal Culture Park is 393,000 square meters. Bursa's Reşat Oyal Culture Park first opened its doors in 1955. I love this park because, as spring arrives, so many new leaves and flowers sprout around it. This park has an abundance of flowers along every path that can make your life's stress disappear. There are lots of tulip blooms in the park, including red, yellow, and pink ones. That was incredibly fascinating!! The park includes tea gardens, restaurants, the Bursa Archaeology Museum, the Conservatory Building, the Open Air Theatre, and an amusement park. The name of the amusement park is Luna Park or Altin Park. Because of the Eid season, it was packed with kids and their families. This theme park offers an enormous selection of rides. These include the Atli Carinca, Ferris Wheel, Crushing cars, Adrenalin Max, Gandola, Mini Train, Octopus Ride, Crazy Dancing, and many more

The Karagoz Museum in Bursa, Turkey, is a unique celebration of the traditional art of Turkish shadow puppetry, particularly the Karagoz theater. It houses an extensive collection of exquisitely crafted puppets, costumes, and accessories that offer visitors a captivating insight into this centuries-old performance art.
Ive always loved karagoz and hacivat! Used to watch some clips on tv back in the day so seeing this was super cool! Its a shame the culture of storytelling with puppets is dying whilst it being a very fun and special. Its a small museum and it was free to enter. It was super interesting to read the given information and see how those puppets actually look like in real life. I wouldve loved for this museum to have a museumshop with souvenirs! Sadly stores nearby didnt sell anything related to karagoz and hacivat either

A very interesting museum! I've read about the Karagoz and Bahlavan in the Middle Eastern and Central Asian culture before and how they influenced kingdoms and civilians but never thought of finding a place that tells the story through pictures, old newspapaers and wooden figures from various destinations. Also, i was lucky to attend a Karagoz play during a school trip. Of course, it was in turkish and i didn't understand a word, but the music was so entertaining it reminds me of my childhood, add to that the excitement and energy i felt amongst the children..That was priceless!! متحف الاراجوز

Have been here 2 times.. 2019 and 30 December 2024. My son was excited during the whole trip. ❤️❤️

It was an okay ride. The price was high compared to the ride. There was a bit of a wait to get the tickets and there was a part of the lift that was not working so we only were able to ride half of it. If you have money to spare do it or else, it’s okay to miss it. One of the employees spoke arabic so that was very helpful.
Mike A — Google review
The view is absolutely stunning and worth seeing at least once. However, the cable car is quite expensive—especially for non-Turkish visitors, and it's unclear why there's a price difference. What's more frustrating is that they still charge the full fare even when the second station is closed, meaning you can't reach the summit. While it's officially "due to maintenance," it's clear that this closure is seasonal, as the upper section is simply not open in summer. Overall, it felt overpriced for a partial experience. I’m glad I saw it once, but I wouldn’t go again.
Elfra F — Google review
While the views from the Uludağ cable car are undeniably breathtaking, the overall experience left much to be desired. As a foreigner, I was charged 950 TL (around €22), which feels unfairly steep—especially considering that half the line was apparently "under maintenance" (we were told we couldn’t reach the summit, a common excuse it seems during the low season). There was no prior warning about the limited access, and no reduced fare to reflect the shorter ride. Beyond the scenic ride itself, the rest of the experience felt disorganized and poorly managed. For the price paid, I expected more than just a one-way view and vague explanations. The natural beauty is there, but everything else—from pricing to transparency—needs serious improvement.
Carmine M — Google review
Love it... Very organized. The fast line cost 300 lira but it's worth it... You don't have to wait to get there. Clean cars, the mountains are beautiful, touring the forest is a must. Must try if u visit Bursa

Wonderful experience to fly through the mountains covered with trees and clouds on top. I am so happy that the people and government of Turkey have taken a good care of their country. Would love to visit again.
Haroon M — Google review
The views were great. But the prices were outrageous. My Turkish fiancé was 90 tl to ride the cable car whereas, they charged me 300 tl because of my USA passport. It’s not fair. We spent 110 tl on just 2 coffees. Make sure to bring your own food because everything is overpriced. Other than that, the mountain is a great place to escape the heat and stress of the city. Many playgrounds for children.
Kerenza P — Google review
One of the amazing experiences I had in Turkey. The cable way has 2 stops. The first one (Satialan) is at 1635 m altitude. Once out, you will fund many activities and things to do for the whole family. You can have nature walks in the amazing fir forest, play at the adventure park, rent a bike or ATV, have a picnic in nature and many other things. You can easily spend the day there especially for families. The second stop (kurbagakaya) is at 1810 m altitude. It has ski resorts and chalets. The ride in the cable way itself is amazing since you go up Uludag mountain, then ride almost horizontally, then ride to to the top very close to the trees where you can enjoy the fir trees. It is a must when in Bursa.

Bursa Castle is an absolute gem in the city of Bursa! Sitting atop of city is has stunning views. Parking was ample. We loved exploring this historic castle. The walls and towers are impressive, and you can really feel the history as you walk through the grounds. Each layer of the castle was from a different era and the visual storytelling was captivating. There's a small admission fee, but it's worth it for the views and the experience. We were delighted to find a cozy café inside where we could take a break and enjoy a drink. During our visit, there was an exhibit that started that day which is amazing. The videos in the prison section were powerful, which added an exciting touch to our experience. There are interactive elements in various areas. The combination of history, a and beautiful scenery makes Bursa Castle a fantastic stop. If you’re in the area, definitely take the time to check it out! We highly recommend it!

The Osman Gazi Türbesi is an Ottoman tomb located on a hilltop in Bursa, Turkey. The building has been reconstructed from a Byzantine structure and includes a terrace with cafes that offer stunning views of the surrounding area. While some visitors find the tomb to be overly decorated and not aligned with Islamic teachings, it remains an important historical site for many people. The tomb itself is elevated above floor level, which goes against traditional Islamic burial practices.
Visiting the Osman Gazi Tomb was a truly moving experience. As the founder of the Ottoman Empire, Osman Gazi holds a significant place in Turkish history. The tomb itself is beautifully maintained and reflects the grandeur of the Ottoman era. The serene atmosphere allows for quiet reflection on the life and legacy of this important figure. It's a must-visit for anyone interested in Turkish history and culture!

The resting place of Osman Gazi, holy shrines of other important figures and close companions of the Ottoman regime. Located in Tophane park, which overlooks the panoramic view of Bursa city. Open to the visitors and free to enter, a calm, quiet and peaceful atmosphere near the tomb. A ceremonial reenactment used to perform there. Dressed as Ottoman soldiers and offer tribute to them in a crowd of spectators. Orhan Gazi's (Son of Osman Gazi) resting place is also next to this. Really a place to feel the old history and understand. A must visit spot in Bursa.

The tomb of the first Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, Osman Gazi! When Bursa was conquered in 1326, Osman was still alive but too ill and old to take part in the campaign, so his son Orhan led the conquest. Next to Osman Gazi’s tomb, you’ll also find the tomb of his son, Orhan Gazi. What’s interesting is that the tomb of Osman Gazi is still guarded by human guards!

Visiting the tomb of Osman Gazi was an amazing and unforgettable experience. As the founder of the great Ottoman Empire (Osmanlı Sultanate), his final resting place carries immense historical and cultural importance. The tomb is beautifully preserved, and the peaceful atmosphere allows visitors to truly reflect on the legacy of this iconic leader. What made my visit even more special was witnessing a traditional parade near the tomb. It added a vibrant and ceremonial touch to the experience, giving a glimpse into the rich Ottoman heritage and how it’s still honored today. The location also offers stunning views over Bursa, and nearby sites like Orhan Gazi’s Tomb and the historic Tophane Clock Tower make it a perfect spot for history lovers. A must-visit destination for anyone exploring the roots of the Ottoman Empire!

Nestled in the charming suburb of Cekirge, the Bursa Atatürk Museum is a remarkable homage to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Turkey's founding father. This beautifully preserved 19th-century timber mansion served as his residence during visits in the 1920s and '30s. Visitors can explore several rooms adorned with original furniture, personal belongings, and photographs that vividly illustrate Atatürk's life and legacy.
So between 12-13 they have a lunch break. Me and my family came from the Karagoz museum and were there during the break (12.20) however there wasnt any store near that sold water, the kind lady from the staff brought us a whole litre of water for us to drink AND shared a delicious portion of irmik with us (best ive ever had honestly). So we absolutely loved the kind staff! The house itself isnt super big but its impressive to see and know ataturk has been and lived there

So sad! It appears to be a beautiful mansion. Most of the furniture items are originals used by Atatürk himself! Unfortunately, the museum is closed for renovations.

Very old house for free and the museum employee very kind man he offers us pictures and he's very professional
Dodi K — Google review
Although this is a historical site, there's not much to see here. Just a display of old furniture. Lack of information provided. If you want to learn about Atatürk this is not the place. Only 1st and 2nd floor open. You'll see about 4 rooms. It takes 10 minutes to walk through. Don't go out of your way to come here. However, if you're nearby I recommend walking across the street to the park. ✅ Free

This has been one of the most interesting visits in a museum. The guide was the main reason for this. He greeted and treated us as kindly as we can hardly describe, and brought Atatürk back to life. Thank you so much for this!

Step into the Panorama 1326 Bursa Conquest Museum and be transported back to the 14th century Ottoman conquest of the city. The museum, located in the Osmangazi district of Bursa, boasts a futuristic dome with a 360-degree image depicting the historic event. Visitors can immerse themselves in the scene as they stand on the field of victory, witnessing Sultan Orhan Gazi overseeing the takeover while Byzantines leave the castle.
We visited the Bursa Museum, the panoramic painting view was outstanding. It was my 1st experience to see this painting, we all family members loved the art, atmosphere & knowledge imparted to us. Excellent job by the organisers.

1326 Museum The Bursa Panorama 1326 Museum was absolutely mesmerising. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt transported back in time. The panoramic artwork is breathtaking—rich in detail, emotion, and history. The way the museum blends immersive visuals with beautifully curated artefacts makes the experience both educational and deeply captivating. It’s a place where you can feel the spirit of Bursa’s past come alive. I left with a sense of awe and appreciation for the artistry and storytelling behind the exhibit. A must-visit for anyone travelling to Bursa.

The museum is amazing. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The tickets are very cheap, you even get discounts for kids and for people over 65 it's free. Wednesdays is the entrance also free for everyone. The old times are wonderfully represented by the pictures and paintings. The antique artifacts are so cool. They have such cute items in the souvenir shop, especially the coin you can get which will be imprinted right then and there. Overall it is a wonderful experience. I definitely recommend to go there if you get the chance to visit Bursa.

Nestled in the heart of Bursa's historical Al-Muradia district, the Museum of Ottoman House offers a fascinating glimpse into the past. This charming two-story wooden structure, located right across from the Sultan Murad Mosque, is not just any museum; it’s also the birthplace of Fatih Sultan Mehmed, known for conquering Istanbul. The house showcases authentic 17th-century architecture and decor that transports visitors back to a time when Ottoman patricians thrived.
It is a museum where you can learn how people used to live 13th to 19th century.

(Translated by Google) Located on Aralık Street in the Muradiye neighborhood of Bursa, near the Murad II Social Complex, the house has three floors: a basement, ground floor, and first floor. The basement is accessed from the north side, while the ground and first floors are accessed from the courtyard on the west side. An example of civil architecture, the house was expropriated and restored by the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums of the Ministry of National Education in 1946. It was re-opened as a museum in 1958, with its exhibition arrangements. It was repaired again in 1973 and 1992, and its exhibition arrangements were re-arranged. From the exterior, the house, which sits on a stone foundation, has its east facade plastered up to the first floor level. The slightly protruding first floor features brickwork laid in zigzag patterns between wooden beams. This facade features loophole-type windows at the basement level, rectangular windows on the ground floor, and round-arched plaster latticework skylights above the rectangular windows on the first floor. The windows have wooden casements. The west facade of the house, which provides access to the ground and first floors, is divided by wooden pillars. The ground floor features a balcony with wooden railings, while the upper floor opens to the outside with windows in the Bursa arch style. The northern section is plastered. The south facade is blind. The building is entered via a six-step staircase located south of the axis on the west facade. An open-fronted iwan hall and iwan flank each room. The plan is repeated on the upper floor. Inside, the low-ceilinged ground floor is made of wood and bares no decorative elements. Upstairs, an iwan hall and two symmetrical rooms opening onto the iwan and iwan reflect the finest examples of 17th-century woodwork. The ceiling of the hall is decorated with a cream-colored, green-red zigzag pattern, while the ceiling of the iwan is decorated with motifs consisting of a star in the center and hexagons surrounding it. A painted band of rumi, palmettes, and curved branches encircles the hall and the central and side iwans. (Original) Bursa, Muradiye Mahallesi, Aralık Sokak’ta, II. Murad Külliyesi yakınındadır. These had different names such as Bezzaz-ı Atik, Bezzazistan, Bey Hanı, Sultan Hanı and Kervansaray, respectively. And finally, it became known as Emir Hani. There are 36 rooms with cellar-style windows on the lower floor, and 38 rooms with a window and a stove on the upper floor. The two-storey inn, which consists of 74 shops in total, also has an inner courtyard of 46x50 dimensions. There are porticoes on both floors of the inn. Both floors are surrounded by porticoes. There is a renovated fountain and old trees in the middle of the inn. This courtyard seems to be one of the most visited places by visitors. Because in addition to the thick walls surrounding the inn, the trees and canopies have become a place for tired visitors to rest and cool off. Emir Hani was a place where all kinds of commercial materials were weighed. The tax collected from the scales was also recorded as income in this khan. Textile products, souvenirs and books are sold in the inn, where visitors are always present, and it is still full of commercial life. Even though it was defeated by wild capitalism; These are warmer, more friendly and more peaceful places than the 'shopping malls', which are the modern day inns that are everywhere today.

A Must-Visit Gem – The Authentic Bursa Grand Bazaar Visiting the Bursa Grand Bazaar was truly one of the highlights of my trip. The atmosphere is vibrant, rich with culture, and filled with the kind of authenticity you rarely experience in modern markets. From the moment you step inside, you're transported into a world where tradition meets charm. What makes this place so special isn't just the variety of goods—from beautiful handwoven scarves and traditional textiles to spices, jewellery, and local crafts—but also the people. The shopkeepers are genuinely warm, welcoming, and proud of their heritage. They’re always happy to share stories behind their products and offer you tea while you browse, making the experience feel personal and unforgettable. The bazaar has a unique energy that reflects the deep history of Bursa itself. It’s not overly commercialised like many tourist spots—it’s authentic, rooted in centuries-old trade and craftsmanship. If you’re visiting Turkey, especially if you're interested in culture, local experiences, or just want to enjoy an amazing shopping atmosphere, the Bursa Grand Bazaar is an absolute must. You won’t regret it!

This is a beautiful market to shop. Local Turkiye sellers are helpful and keen to make you purchase. Don't forget to quibble for at least two thirds if the original price .. if you can. Wonderful ambiance and excellent place to visit on a Sunday. There are also the Ulu Camii or mosque and Bey Ertugrul musuem to explore.

One of the must-see attractions in Bursa. From the top, you get a beautiful view of the city, and it’s also the resting place of the founders of the Ottoman Empire. If you’re here around 5:00 PM, don’t miss the guard-changing ceremony — it’s a memorable bonus to the visit.

Tophane Park is located in Bursa's Osmangazi neighborhood. This is one of Bursa's busiest areas. There are so many historical sites surrounding this park. The Tophane Park is surrounded by lovely flower gardens and trees. This is really energizing. The sight of tulip blooms in the center of the park astounded me. Additionally, the entire Tophane Square is visible from the park's summit. The Tophane Clock tower and Osman Gazi's tomb are located in this park. Osman Gazi's tomb : The founder of the Ottoman Empire, Osman Gazi, was buried at this tomb. There are also a number of graves. The following people are buried there as well: Nilüfer Hatun, the wife of Osman Gazi; his son Şehzade Kasım Çelebi, his daughter Fatma Sultan, Murad's son Savcı Bey and Asburçe Hatun, Yıldırım Bayezid's sons Musa Çelebi, Şehzade Korkut, and Cem Sultan's son Şehzade Abdullah. Tophane Clock Tower: Bursa's Tophane Clock Tower was built by Ottoman Sultan II. It is an important monumental work reflecting the architecture of the Ottoman period. The historical clock tower is said to have been constructed to commemorate Abdulhamid's throne ascension on its 29th anniversary. This significant massive structure embodies the Ottoman era's architectural style. It has six floors and a height of 33 metres. Stunning viewpoint overlooking Bursa from beside the tower. From August 2, 1904, to August 31, 1905, was when the clock tower's construction was finished.

I usually try to come here around 7:00am as it is much quieter. The wait to get scrubbed was over an hour long. I managed to skip the que for a scrub so I wasn't there for too long. This is one of the itineraries from my tour agency. The store is small and too tight as you can't move especially if there is a throng of tourists. Indeed, a free coffee or tea for every tourist. Love the combination and different colors of the lamp decorations and so with the silk. Well, there is one staff and we followed him outside the store (we thought he was part of the tour agency exclusively in that store) but then, at the end he want to sell a product that was kinda expensive. Good thing that I and the others never bought anything there. Perhaps it is a tourist trap.

tourist trap. I will tell you how we were scammed in this place and How did they cooperate with the tour guide to scam tourists. First I agreed from my country with a company and this company agreed with a company from Turkey to organize tours for us in “Istanbul” (it was the biggest mistake I made) and this company had trapped us a lot and one of them was this place, they took us a whole day to Bursa just for this place and when we arrived they told us to stay in this place for 5 hours and not to go anywhere else and when we entered the place the people who work there came to us and started trying to convince us to buy ridiculous things of poor quality at a very high price (10x the price outside) and the more we refused they insisted and my friend from Saudi Arabia when they knew she was an Arab they started raising the price and trying by all means to sell her. We couldn't even buy water from there . And then we learned that the company agreed with this place to bring tourists to it,
Karina G — Google review
Well .. this place is nice and artistic, the people also friendly but maybe because we are tourists, and they will keep pursuing you to buy the items there.. to be honest the prices are too expensive compares to other markets, we said so because we have explored 7 cities in Turkiye and many markets and compare the prices...

Concept of Bedestans or covered markets originated during the early Ottoman era with array of shops under one roof forming city's trade centre (like shopping malls of today). First Ottoman capital Bursa,Turkey 🇹🇷 has been famous for silk trade for centuries and even today, Bursa's silk is well known in Turkey. Built between 1389 to 1402 in the first Ottoman capital, Bursa's Bedestan(Covered market) is still operating and is now a combination of old and new markets, including Grand bazaar, with array of shops selling various items and food products, cafés & Kiosks etc. Bedestan of Bursa is perfectly located next to Bursa's historic Grand mosque and Koza han(caravansarai or inn used to accommodate visiting merchants to the city)

Great place to visit. At the beginning it is not very interesting but the the further in you go the better it gets. The little hans host great çay houses and the food section is amazing. I counted at least 26 different olive options at one stall. A warning if you follow google maps direction using the English name "covered market" it takes you on a wild goose chase to nowhere. Use the Turkish "Kapalı Çarşı" you get to the right place. I have sent google an edit so it may get fixed.

One of the old markets specialized in gold and silver jewelry. The market is built in the Ottoman style and is very crowded with the people of Bursa and the tourists coming to the area. In the market there are beautiful and old forms of jewelry that bear the ancient inscriptions of previous eras and civilizations. Since the market is visited by many foreign tourists, the prices are high and in many cases exaggerated, so try as much as possible to get the largest discount you can reach.

Nestled in the heart of Bursa, the Clock Tower stands as a remarkable symbol of the city's rich history and urban charm. This iconic landmark, built in 2007 by local artist Merih Ercan, replaced an earlier structure from 1992 and offers visitors stunning panoramic views from its elevated position. The surrounding area is vibrant with popular shops, cozy cafes, and the serene Emir Sultan Mosque nearby.
Nice square with a clock tower to visit with many panorama points . If you are planning to go , my recommendation is to climb from the restaurant “Yamala” which is located downstairs , so you will get to stop in several points of view for Bursa . As well as you should select some timing around 12:00, or 18:00 in order to see the mechanism of the clock and the change of the guards in the tombs . The square gets crowded but have many restaurants and coffe shops to accommodate all .

The Tasavvuf Cultural Center, also known as the Karabas-Veli Kultur Merkezi, hosts nightly dances at its headquarters. While it may be challenging to locate on Google Maps, spotting a tall yellow building and witnessing people socializing in the tea garden confirms you have found the right place. According to locals, Saturdays offer the most vibrant and enthusiastic dances. However, even on a Tuesday visit, one can still be captivated by the mesmerizing performances.
My visit to Turkey would have been incomplete if I hadn’t attended the spiritual and heart-touching ceremony at The Tasavvuf Cultural Center (Tasavvuf Vakfi Kültür Merkezi). I may not be able to describe it in words, but the atmosphere there was beyond explanation. If you are in Bursa, you must attend this ceremony at least once. We were informed that this ceremony is held daily around 8:30 or 9:00 PM, and various volunteers come and showcase their beautiful talents. Before attending, I had no idea what it was. The ceremony was incredibly soul-enriching, with nasheeds (devotional songs) sung in Turkish, accompanied by a mesmerizing blend of drums and flute that touched the strings of the soul. During the ceremony, we were also served Turkish tea, which doubled the enjoyment of watching this spiritual performance. There is seating on the upper floor for women, and the best part is that this place is ♿accessible to everyone.

Hüsnü Züber House is a charming building with a library and study area on the upper floor, while one of its lower rooms has been transformed into a wooden spoon museum. It's an ideal spot for young people seeking a quiet place to study or read, with the added bonus of refreshments being available. The venue offers tea and internet access, making it convenient for visitors. However, there are occasional issues with shaky tables and limited internet connectivity after reaching a certain usage threshold.
(Translated by Google) My new favorite place. I think the view, atmosphere, cleanliness are all perfect. There is free tea service. You can take any food you want with you and consume it with your tea in the garden with a magnificent view during class breaks. Oh no, shouldn't I have written? (Original) Yeni favori mekanım. (Translated by Google) I was able to go there for the first time in September 2021 because it was under restoration for a certain period of time. I would have loved to see the original version. They changed the inside a little bit. Personally, I was disappointed, but it was also a very nice youth center, and I am still happy that I could stop by and visit it.
