Cafe
Nestled in the heart of Mandalay, Shwe Pyi Moe Cafe is a charming breakfast and teahouse that beautifully showcases traditional Mandalay-style architecture. This inviting spot offers an array of classic Burmese dishes alongside a delightful selection of teas. Breakfast enthusiasts will be thrilled with options like fried sticky rice donuts and Indian-style bread, all served in a warm atmosphere complemented by friendly service. As you savor your meal, you'll experience the essence of local culture through every bite and sip.
One of the most popular and best cafe in the downtown area. The breakfast here is always good. Myanmar food typically have a smell and a lot of people don't like that. This place serves good food without any such smell. The kitchen is open and you can see the staff cooking as well.
Sandeep S — Google review
One of the pioneers of Mandalay tea shops for more than two decades. Authentic Mandalay breakfast of various options are available and well maintained. Non smoking area with air conditioner is reserved.
Khin M — Google review
Fantastic food at a good price (2000 kyat for my meal). Plenty of people eating there but also plenty of space for everyone. Tasty soup also came with our meal.
Matt — Google review
An open-air café with a good selection of food, frequented by many locals and at very reasonable prices. The whole order you can see on the photo was 4,000 MKK. The food was tasty and the staff spoke enough English to understand that I do not eat meat or fish.
René S — Google review
Better than the Shoe Pyi Moe on 30th street in terms of food and service. We've had breakfast here everyday for 2 weeks and it was good.
Sarah B — Google review
It's Myanmar tea taste is good. Other foods and taste are normal.
Kyaw L — Google review
It is a top-class cafe chain in Mandalay. It is quite popular among the locals. The foods are 8/10 and they are mostly traditional Myanmar breakfast food. The hygiene is high, the service is fast and good, the price however goes abit high for those good qualities. It has the outside seats and the room seats, and the latter one is for non-smokers. You cannot smoke in the room but can smoke outside.
Sai C — Google review
Pretty nice restaurant in Mandalay area. It is very good that the restaurant has Aircon room available to beat Mandalay heat. A+++

Nestled in the tranquil village of Mingun, Rock Garden Cafe is a delightful oasis that offers diners a unique experience with stunning views of the iconic Mingun Bell and the Irrawaddy River. The cafe features tastefully furnished outdoor seating under shady trees, creating an inviting atmosphere for guests to enjoy their meals. The menu boasts a variety of options, including delicious Western dishes like chicken burgers and vegetarian selections, all at reasonable prices.
Modern and furnished with taste, we enjoyed a Chicken Burger there. Food was good and the price range looks totally reasonable. We paid 3800K for one Burger w/ some fries. Next time I should try their coffee, as they use beans to make it.
Jerome V — Google review
If you crave some Western food instead of Shan noodle you can find it here. There is a vegetarian dish. They've also got excellent smoothies

Nestled in the heart of downtown Mandalay, Bistro@82nd Restaurant has quickly become a favorite among expats and locals alike. This charming bistro, managed by a dedicated Swiss owner, offers an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a cozy tavern. The menu primarily features delectable European cuisine that consistently impresses diners. Guests rave about dishes like roasted cauliflower, vibrant salads, comforting carrot ginger soup, and hearty vegetable lasagna—all praised for their exceptional flavors.
Blew away our expectations. The food was insanely good. We had the roasted cauliflower, colorful salad, carrot ginger soup, and vegetable lasagna and all we're fantastic! Beers and wine are unbelievable prices and the dessert was also wonderful. Normally when we travel we only eat local good, but every now and then it's ok to that yourself with whatever you want ;)

Good but not as PR on line. Lots of choice from Burmese, American , French , Italian food. Small salad Bad Caramari fritt - tough Pork Gordon bleu is super hard Bad rum raisin ice cream Bad burger Bad ravioli with shrimp Bad blueberry triffle Ok Spaghetti tomato sauce Good steak Good salmon Good sea bass Good lasagna
Nijaya I — Google review
Nice comfortable ambience without the usual bistro smell but points deducted from trying to look contemporary with unpolished, untiled cement floor. The clock on the wall stopped at 11.40 and nothing done to resume. This shows that the staff is not bothered about image at all. Beef steak is pricey considered it is not a fine dining restaurant and trying to rival that of a hotel. Tested a pork cordon bleu with cheddar, blue cheese and French fries. I was expecting a pork chop when it arrived looking like a wrap. It was nice but still pricey considered the small portion. Will visit again to try the beef steak another time.
Josephine O — Google review
By FAR the best western food in town. Ok, prices are high (15k kyat for main dish) but i can only imagine what it takes to deliver such quality in Mandalay. Really great, high quality food and not just one of these "european restaurants". I highly recommend.
Basil W — Google review
Great coffee, decoration was fabulous, cozy place and nice staff but didn't have much veg options.
Roop G — Google review
Food is ok, and service is good. At the time we went, around lunch time, there were no other customers so service was very fast. Im not sure how is the service when the establishment is full. The toilets are also very clean
Jan G — Google review
Untypical stylish restaurant with very good (western-style) food. Prices and Quality are higher than other restaurants in the area.
Stefan S — Google review
Honestly a very nice place to get Western food. Sure it is expensive compared to local prices elsewhere but the food tasted great and was a great place to satisfy our European needs for one night. Remember the 15% taxes. Starterd for the both of us, main courses, fresh juices and a alcoholic beverage ended up on 46$

The donuts are good as in Europe but the coffee is not the best here and they don't have cappuccino and also no honey I the coffee so if you choose to come here, just come here for a cake or donut!

The order takes too long
Arkar P — Google review
(Translated by Google) There was something like ponde from a certain donut shop, and they also had various cakes, so I ended up going there twice. The clerk will take what you point to on the tray. The inside of the store is air-conditioned and comfortable. It was also neatly packaged when I took it home.
