Healthy vegetarian restaurant with really friendly staff. Prices are a bit higher than normal but only by a fraction. If you're looking for a break from noodles and Burmese meat curries then this is your spot.

English menu provided. Had the pumpkin curry, potato curry, cepati, strawberry lassi, samosa, and lemon honey ginger juice. Tasty and very filling. Special mention for the strawberry lassi.

Marie Min is a long established Indian vegetarian restaurant in Mandalay. It is easy to find and quite central. They offer WiFi which was great to kill the time whilst they prepared food, as it took over half an hour to be served after we ordered. It was busy though on that evening to be fair. I found the menu interesting as they offered a good variety of pure veg dishes (no egg no cheese so no paneer unfortunately :( ). Prices for a main dish is about 4000 kyat which is quite expensive, especially given the modest setting of the restaurant, so I was expecting great food. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. I ordered a veg/tofu coconut curry (4000 kyat) and one chapati (500 kyat) which was served in a bowl. Sadly the dish did not taste very much of coconut. The coconut had turned into curd as there was too much oil. The tofu had been fried beforehand as well which made the whole dish too oily and tasteless. Looking at a table nearby, I saw a vegetable mix curry which seemed to have the same issue being submerged into oil. Also I was disappointed with the roti. It turned out to be a doughy crepe that had not cooked properly inside. It wasn’t pleasant to eat. On the other hand, my partner ordered a mix veg noodle and her’s came out ok, although she found it a bit too oily, but it wasn’t as bad as the coconut curry. In the end, we still both had a sore stomach after we left. Lastly the service was not so great. As I said earlier, the food took a long time to come and none of the waiters attended our table or paid attention to us when we waived at them. It also took them a lot of time to get the bill to tables and they didn’t clear anything on the table until customers would leave. Overall the prices do not match the service and food quality, and the Indian dishes were not great at all. I would recommend sticking to Burmese food instead until they change their chef.

This joint is crazy! Packed with locals, make sure to take a table on the rooftop and get lost in the infinite menu. Quite known for its fish, they offer various styles of cooking and tons of side dishes. Everything’s incredibly tasteful, the service is perfect and the atmosphere makes you wanna eat and drink as if there’s no tomorrow. Be careful when you order though, the portions are gigantic! Catfish cakes are splendid.

I had the grilled duck with honey (half), mixed vegetables and rice. Duck was divine, if you like honey and duck, definitely order this. Half is plenty. I couldn't finish everything because the vegetables is a meal on its own. Could happily share the amount I ordered with another person. Duck was not the cheapest (6000 for a half) but worth it. Good service and nice place to eat! Not touristy either.

I came here alone so can't order more food, the price is cheap, the food is great, nice view from roof top, a half of roasted duck only 12,000 kys. Recommended!

A great place for dinner and your memorable ceremonies. Suitable place for wedding dinner, anniversary and birthday party. The decoration is excellent. The taste are delicious and their famous meal is roasted duck. There are many branches of Golden Duck Restaurants in Myanmar. The taste of the roasted duck is always excellent and the same. The place serve mainly chinese dishes and you can get vegetarian meals too.

I had a great time here. I was here for a wedding function, I love the service and ambiance. The food was awesome don't forget to try the duck dish. Love the service and quality. The function was smooth and was just memorable.

It is a great place. It has many parking space and it is literally a very quiet place. The building is modern and all the decorations are classic. The staffs are very helpful and the food is absolutely great. The seats are comfortable and the price is in reasonable range too. If I visit Mandalay, I will go there again.

Service is 0/10. They wouldn’t even help to sing a birthday song for a customer. They lack of communication since the waiter just answered by a head shake when I ask them if they could sing a bd song. As a high-end restaurant, offering the small services like this shouldn’t be a problem.

This is the best place to eat in Mandalay. We went back 4 times in 2 days, including a second dinner after the Indian place we went to failed miserably. The prices here are quite above the average fare with an average plate of $12, beer and juices at $3, and desserts at $4-6. The place is very well managed and the espresso is authentic Italian style. Overall, the best cafe serving: international, local and Asian cuisine in Mandalay.

BBB serves one of the more edible (not tasty) western dishes in Mandalay. The taste is fine, depending on what you order. The Spanish seafood fried rice is quite lovely, but chicken dishes are generally not tasty to me. Prepare to spend about 10000 kyat per pax if ordering a main course and a drink (small bottle of Myanmar beer costs 2k kyat). Very good air conditioned ambience and cost western decor. There are 2 storeys of dining area. They have another 2 Sister restaurants called City Cafe near the palace at 66th/24th street and the recently opened Eighteen Cafe at new town Mingalar Mandalay. You will see similarities in their menus if you visited all three places, though BBB has the most selections to offer. Do drop by if you are craving for western dishes while traveling in Mandalay!

Good option for local or traditional western food. Casual, clean restaurant that provides good food. Hamburger is done western style and tastes great. Sandwiches are average, but taste great and come quickly.

Great Myanmar cuisine and hospitable staff!

Worst restaurant we ate at in our week long trip to Myanmar — I recommend you look for a meal elsewhere. While the atmosphere is nice and the wait staff friendly and helpful the food was of the poorest taste and quality of all our 7 dinners in Myanmar. The serving portions are also very small relative to other Myanmar restaurants and that mixed with the price results in poor value overall. The chicken curry we ordered was full of bones which were a major choking hazard. The vegetable spring rolls we ordered tasted like they were microwaved or came from 7-11. Myanmar has great food — just not here!

The food here is fantastic! 🎉 We had a variety of traditional Myanmarese curries - fish, beef, pork, chicken as well as a variety of salads. 😋 This time, we ended up with a very nice variety of desserts! One tasted just like Chendol and the other like Sago Gula Melaka 😋😋😋 I love the banana cake, in pink, too and had 3 servings ... Maybe four... Hahaha 😆🤣😂

Local Mandalay food is a must try! The family here serves all day lunch meals, and the portion sizes with the sides a a lot! Just look at the pics to understand the vast spread and enjoy, they speak English so will help make the choices easily

Great restaurant with authentic Burmese food. Went to it as a suggestion from the lonely planet guide, the location has changed and is two blocks south of its current location on Google, there is a sign at the old location with it's new address. They have a menu you can order from, as well as a "buffet" of sorts where you can choose what you want from what is there. We ordered the shan noodles (1,500kyats) which were amazing, and got the crispy pork (2,500kyats and totally worth it!) from the buffet area. Very busy and full of locals, definitely worth a visit!

Not as great as advertised - we had high hopes but all dashed. Pork fried rice and seafood fried rice was bland. Pork hot plate was horrible - the meat was stale and chewy. The chicken kungpow was too salty. Only the stirfried veggies were good.

It’s kind of noisy. It’s not very professional, but the foods are OK to eat. It’s like a budget saving restaurant for Burmese people I guess.

Not sure why people highly recommended this place. After seeing the next table ordering, I understand that they provided a set menu for every dish you order. Which I guess the reason for the price being so expensive. But it is almost 4 times more expensive than the next road restaurant. What about the food waste that need to be thrown away from every guest?. I think only a few can chew all the side dishes down (firstly because the side dishes come in 5 variants plus the vegetable+sambal, secondly because it might be too spicy or salty for some, lastly because it was all very rich and oily). I think it's not worthed that the hefty price paid, end up wasted away. Picture 1: We ordered tea leaves salad and prawn curry. The salad is 3000kyats, the curry is 6500kyats, plus 500kyats tax (you got a sticker on your bill). totalling for 10,000kyats for a two dish, with heaps of side dishes and unlimited rice. But, no tea served at all nor it was offered. The staff pushed to sell fruit juices and alcoholic beverages. While it is a common tradition in all restaurant I went in Myanmar, that the tea is freely available for all customers. So it is quiet a shock to find a restaurant with Myanmar's cuisines speciality doesn't follow this custom. Picture 2: Earlier I bought the exact same dish, the tea leaves salad, in the same portion at the Moe Wai Kyaw Coffee just on the next street (they are also a restaurant, not only selling coffees. With AC and non-AC dining areas. And, free hot tea). The tea leaves salad there was only 800 kyats. And more importantly taste wise, the 800kyats tea leaves salad, taste much better. Regarding staffs, they were friendly as all Myanmar people are, but their conversational English was still difficult to be practical. I was expecting for a tourist-targeted restaurant, they would have been quiet fluent.

Good Myanmar food. I can not say that it is much better than street food but prices are higher. Side dishes are good. When I was there there were almost only locals. Service is super quick, waiters are friendly and attentive. Restaurant is nice and clean. The location on Google maps is wrong. So you can ask locals and they will help you to find.

Maybe this food remarkably well represents local gastronomical tradition. But for someone who's not into local traditions, it's just poorly executed meals I ordered 4 positions (without drinks) and none was enjoyable to me - being a big fan of Chinese, Indian and Thai cuisines - but some dished were interesting: never heard that tea leaves can make a soup! (They call it salad)

Yummy food but some dishes were hot AF 🌶🔥. They made a special soup for us without meat since we're vegetarian. All dishes seem to come with a ton of side dishes so order one per person at most. Bill for two with drinks was around 10k.

In the beginning we thought it’s a bit expensive, but actually the service you receive value much more! We ordered one chicken curry 4.5k and two juice and you can see what they brought for us! The main food and 7 side dishes and a soup for free! Seems like Rice is for free only first time and when you ask again they’ll charge you for sth like 2.5k!! For not saying this i remove one star! There’s aircon inside which is very relaxing and cool after a long walk in hot Mandalay! recommended

Decent and clean place with air-con. Very delicious, spicy and flavorful. They offer a wide variety of Traditional Burmese food and the price is cheap. Service was great and staffs were friendly. Overall it was a great experience.

I decided to visit this restaurant for my dinner though it was quite far from my hotel(30 minutes walk), the staff at the entrance were welcoming and offered me a welcome drink.The ambience is good but the service was very slow and the rates on the menu were quite expensive.

Food was mediocre at best. They then requested to be paid in American currency and then argued that the currency appeared to have been used, not brand new. The $20 bills had recently come out of a major bank ATM in the United States and were in excellent condition. The restaurant argued that the bills were not brand new, a ridiculous argument and pathetic behavior. I will not go back, and I suggest that you don’t either. Clearly other people share my opinion, there were only two other people in the restaurant.

Good food and good taste. A little pricey for local consumer. It cost $2 for normal quality rice(which was about 3000kyats in Myanmar currency ) it's a bit too pricey for local consumer.

This restaurant is excellent. We ordered a lot as we wanted to taste a lot of the local/regional flavours, and we were not disappointed - unique and delicious! Such great variety. The manager even gave us a sample taste of the teas on sale before we decided to buy a few packs. Highly recommended.

AMAZING TEA! They have a blend for all types of tea drinkers, from bitter to sweet and milky to none at all. Very authentic Burmese cuisine at very affordable prices (Their noodles cost only 2 USD). The fish broth noodles (with the egg in the picture) was a little too strong for my taste but my friends loved it. The chicken curry was really good. This was my first breakfast in Myanmar and it was the best breakfast I ever had. They offer a wide variety of Traditional Burmese food and the price is reasonable. Service was great and staffs were friendly. Be sure to try the Mohinga and Samosa. Also, their specialty tea is one of the best! Highly recommended!

Hit and miss for the dishes. Have definitely tasted better Thai fare in any part of Thailand. Was hoping for a comparable taste and did not meet my expectations -- seeing that I came here from a blog review of top Mandalay restaurants. Having said that, the restaurant is a cosy comfortable one.

Went here for lunch today expecting great things. I have eaten incredible Thai food before, both in Thailand and the West, and I have to say this disappointed me. I was expecting more from the reviews. Aside from the taste, I ordered a prawn hot pot, and that's exactly what I got. A singular prawn in a bowl of soup! I complained and they told me I could have two prawns if I wanted. Seriously?!...What a joke. I also got the fried Catfish with ginger and chilli, which tasted ok, but it had no spice at all and there was more bone than fish. I also ordered the fish cakes to start, and I only ate one and left the rest. Would definitely not go here again. Overpriced and below average in my opinion.

We had dinner here and were with one other couple the only guests. Prices vary roughly between 4200 and 7300 for a meal, plus 1000 kyat for rice while the food quality didn't impress us. The pre-cut chicken pieces had lots of yearns (hard, similar to bones, but a bit softer) in it, so that it was necessary to chew carefully and spit parts out again. Taste was okay, but not great.

It is very good Thai food restaurent, located in a corner of 80 Rd & 19 St in Mandalay City. Western side of moat of Mandalay. Travellers are often come there by group. It is a popular restaurent for tourists.

Nice place. Not much of variety on the drinks menu. Just Myanmar beer Mandalay beer, and two cocktails. The Mandalay Breeze, gin and lemon cocktail is worth the visit. Snack and food are really nice. Lots of veggie options. Super friendly staff.

I stayed here a little over two weeks. It was not only affordable and well taken care of, but the staff is wonderful! They are so friendly and sweet. If I ever return to Mandalay, I know where I am staying.

Decent buffet with a big variety of different dishes. You get a plate with rice and add whatever you want from the buffet, ranging from very spicy fried pork to very mild vegetables. Sadly everything was kind of cold when we have been there... but still, enjoy and try as much as you can.

Yuck! Food is so oily, very few dishes actually tasted good. Some were awful! Food was either relatively bland or flavored with more oil. To top it off, I had stomach upset for about 24 hours after, possibly due to all the grease. However, the staff were very lovely and friendly. We also tried some new foods and learned about different veggies and local items. Of course the price is awesome for all you can eat, but we ate here once and didn’t even consider returning. Really turned us off of Burmese food, so we ate mostly Indian while in Mandalay.

We wanted to go here for a dinner. When we came inside and asked for the price lady was thinking about it and then said the price of 5000Kyats. I think it was only because we are forigners... We don't like this behavior... From reviews here we know about the price of 4000Kyats but when she saw three forigners she wanted more and more... It is similar situation I've read in reviews here... This score is mainly about behavior like this.

We only had one night in Mandalay and Ned Kelly Hotel was perfect for the short time we were there! Very easy to get to from the airport (the taxi's all knew the place) and centrally located. The hotel itself was very clean, the staff were super friendly, and the rooms had very comfortable beds (although our twin room was a bit tight - didn't really matter since we weren't there much). Would stay here again for sure.

Fantastic hotel with a lot of conveniences - there is a nice lounge area to hang out and watch tv, universal plugs in the rooms (no need for country-specific adaptors), and a great restaurant on the main floor that offers local and Western cuisine. Extremely clean and well maintained. All staff speak excellent English as well! :)

Stayed here for 2 nights. Good hostel facilities such as a common room on each floor which has tea/coffee making facilities and a tv which you can watch netflix on if you're waiting around for a night bus. The happy hour is good value for draught beers The breakfast included is actually just toast and tea or coffee. You must pay an extra few thousand for eggs. The staff were helpful but their english is quite poor so booking a bus was a bit difficult. All in all, its a pretty good hostel in Mandalay. Taxis to Mandalay Hill and the Ubein Bridge are inexpensive from that location

We stayed at the triple room. We had a great time at the rooftop bar meeting different interesting people!! Oh, and the breakfast was so good with high quality food!! Recommended!

Doesn’t see likes any other hostel in mandalay city.Reasonable price and good to stay. Location is near 15 mins walk to train station and motorbike services near around. Best things is their lobby which is big screen LCD tv with complimentary Netflix :-).They have two floor for hostel rooms each floor have own lobby and every customers can get this.

I had the privilege of performing here for New year's Eve 2019 and was blown away by the hospitality! The staff are super nice and friendly and extremely accommodating and the food was fantastic! Huge variety of options and everything I tried was amazing. I'd come back just for the food. the rooftop bar was really nice and had foosball and beer pong and a projector screen TV. Great party atmosphere. The beds were super comfortable everything was very clean. definitely give this place a visit even if you're not renting a room.

Nice places for dinner but a bit pricy compare to local price. The set menu is more than enough for 2 person but with nice combo of local dishes. Recommoded if you have a chance to visit here.

Food is crazily overpriced. I get that this is a tourist only place but this is also not the way to earn money. Service was also insanely slow. Half hour for my iced latte and also have not seen my food. Edit: We ordered only a pineapple fried rice (it looked pathetic, just steamed rice mixed with pineapple and some pork meat) and fish curry and paid US$23! Service was slow and I had to ask several times where my coffee was, they were just chatting around and didn't get down to making my coffee until half hour later. Tourguides, if you want to bring tourists here and pay a premium, at least make sure the service and food are of premium quality too. Thoroughly disappointed in this place altogether.

Place looks decent and food selection is good. I only had the Aubergine salad which was ok and the detox cleanser which was lacking in taste a bit. Staff very friendly. Better than most restaurants in Mandalay.

My expectations were really high, that’s why maybe I was disappointed. The curries didn’t have a lot of taste compared to other restaurants and the price was really high. We paid 26.000kyats, 9.000 each curry + beer and service and tax charges that they were not included(15%). I don’t care about paying more but then I expect good food . They don’t have wifi. I won’t go back for sure.

the restaurant seems to have changed its owner, because it announces only Elephant, with the Green hidden....with tape. We are still eating well, with waiters who barely scratch English and ready to pay the high price. But ... at the time of the bill one more unpleasant surprise: dish price + 10% service charge and ++ 5% of another fee (seemed to be from the towel ... ???) which no other establishment has charged at Myanmar!

I have been ordering Thai Fried Rice from here for months...always excellent. But today's order is virtually inedible. Smells/tastes like a rat died in it. Truly terrible. Very sad. One of my last meals ever in Mandalay and I get this slop.

It’s located in Chinatown night market street which is 1 of the reason I went; ordered bbq sticks and mala pot. The fun part definitely was able to select what I wanted into my own customised mala pot. And the grill was done prior then served onto the table with a mini grill. I had lotus root, cuttlefish, octopus, pork belly, pork bacon and enoki on my grill.

Taste is decent and price is expensive.

Not a very good experience, food was cold, a complete no-no for Indian food, only sambar was warm, but didn't taste like one, it was more of Burmese experience with a "bit" of South Indian flavour

In general, food in Myanmar is kind of bland most of the time. There are some exceptions like the variety of salads though. The food in this indian restaurant tastes quite good in comparison to other restaurants. We ordered vegetarian curry for 3.500 each. The main dish came along with some Dal Soup, Tamarind Soup, almost all you can eat rice, fresh mint and vegetables like cucumber and carrots and some okra and cauliflower curries. Quality was good, the food was served within minutes and the price is absolutely fair for what you get.

If you crave some Western food instead of Shan noodle you can find it here. There is a vegetarian dish. They've also got excellent smoothies

Nice comfortable ambience without the usual bistro smell but points deducted from trying to look contemporary with unpolished, untiled cement floor. The clock on the wall stopped at 11.40 and nothing done to resume. This shows that the staff is not bothered about image at all. Beef steak is pricey considered it is not a fine dining restaurant and trying to rival that of a hotel. Tested a pork cordon bleu with cheddar, blue cheese and French fries. I was expecting a pork chop when it arrived looking like a wrap. It was nice but still pricey considered the small portion. Will visit again to try the beef steak another time.

By FAR the best western food in town. Ok, prices are high (15k kyat for main dish) but i can only imagine what it takes to deliver such quality in Mandalay. Really great, high quality food and not just one of these "european restaurants". I highly recommend.

Honestly a very nice place to get Western food. Sure it is expensive compared to local prices elsewhere but the food tasted great and was a great place to satisfy our European needs for one night. Remember the 15% taxes. Starterd for the both of us, main courses, fresh juices and a alcoholic beverage ended up on 46$

I cannot understand the 5* reviews. Dined tonight on: 1) chicken and vegetables, with mostly tofu and tiny amounts of chicken 2) fried eggplant. Completely unremarkable and uninteresting meal, average portion sizes ... just like hundreds of places in Myanmar. Restaurant empty (except for me) at 7pm on a Friday night.

Went on a Friday night and this place was packed with a healthy mix of locals and tourists. Lots of tasty menu options but mostly Chinese style. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, the owners children love to chat to westerners and practise their English.

I saw some foriengner also come and have dinner. The price is fair and good taste. I always take chicken leg soup in that restaurant.

Great atmosphere. Solid Myanmar meal - great service with a smile. Go for the fresh juices like lemon ginger honey. Mayonnaise prawn salad was 5 stars and we loved the tofu crackers served as a free starter with lovely soy dipping sauce.

Overall I would just say it was okay. we ordered one large dish and one small dish but they both came in the same size dish and you couldn't tell if one was bigger than the other. Overall I'm certain it's more expensive than many places that provide the same quality of food.

Arguably the best cafe with wide beverage choices with nice coffee and many quick bite menu in Mandalay. Especially, coffee is great and has never disappointed me so far. Mushroom soup was rather disappointing, though. They have good and simple Western breakfast menu as wells Asian one including: Vietnam spring roll, Korean rice salad. Club sandwich was OK. It's on the 2nd floor, no elevater access but only quite stiff stairs.

One of the best roasted duck in Mandalay. Service is A. Foods taste pretty good. Nice and clean. You will also enjoy the pretty views of the Forbidden King Palace while eating by the glass window seats.

Fabulous!!! A must to come in Mandalay. Try the duck, the clear soup with pork balls and veg, the pork with black bean sauce, pumkpin with stuffed meats inside. Service is 0/10. They wouldn’t even help to sing a birthday song for a customer. They lack of communication since the waiter just answered by a head shake when I ask them if they could sing a bd song. As a high-end restaurant, offering the small services like this shouldn’t be a problem.

This is the best place to eat in Mandalay. We went back 4 times in 2 days, including a second dinner after the Indian place we went to failed miserably. The prices here are quite above the average fare with an average plate of $12, beer and juices at $3, and desserts at $4-6. The place is very well managed and the espresso is authentic Italian style. Overall, the best cafe serving: international, local and Asian cuisine in Mandalay.

BBB serves one of the more edible (not tasty) western dishes in Mandalay. The taste is fine, depending on what you order. The Spanish seafood fried rice is quite lovely, but chicken dishes are generally not tasty to me. Prepare to spend about 10000 kyat per pax if ordering a main course and a drink (small bottle of Myanmar beer costs 2k kyat). Very good air conditioned ambience and cost western decor. There are 2 storeys of dining area. They have another 2 Sister restaurants called City Cafe near the palace at 66th/24th street and the recently opened Eighteen Cafe at new town Mingalar Mandalay. You will see similarities in their menus if you visited all three places, though BBB has the most selections to offer. Do drop by if you are craving for western dishes while traveling in Mandalay!

We had family & friends dinner here for our engagement party. Food taste was on point, quality was amazing. Service was good. Some items could be a bit overpriced. But I was happy to pay for the foods I got. Nice environment to chill. The big fan outdoor was a bit annoying. The prices are not in the menu and had to ask the price for each item which made me quite uncomfortable. I would come back again. And hope they will indicate the prices in the menu in the future.

A cafe with palace view and great food. The quality of preparation and presentation is great for all the dishes. The seating is good and service is nice. This has limited vegetarian options but that is true with most of the Myanmar eating places.

Enjoyed lunch there with beautiful decoration. Lots of pasta, burger, pizza and other dishes are also available. I loved their fruit salad most, fresh and serving was also big. Added: This Cafe City has been one of our must-go restaurants in Mandalay now. Visited again in last two-day trip (both day) for the lunch.

A place for authentic Indian food in the city. The prices are also not very expensive. Even if we compare the prices with similar restaurant in India serving such quality food, the prices will be more or less same. We have tried few dishes and everything tasted so good. Dahi ke kabab and makhmali kabab are really good veg starters.

The food was nice and the staff are friendly. I got the okra and mushroom curry (pictured), which was very nice. Main problem was the prices, which were pretty high. I don't think there was any main dish on the menu for less than 5000 kyat. There are also limited options for vegans as most of the curries contain cream. If you are vegetarian, vegan, or on a budget, I'd highly recommend Marie Min instead.

The worst Indian restaurant I've been in Mandalay. Overrated and very pricey. 7500 Ks for 1 single tandoori lamb skewer, not tasty and very dry. No rice so you have to pay 2000 Ks more for plain rice. Also the place was almost empty but we waited almost 30minutes for the food. No happy with that THEY CHARGED ADDITIONAL 10% SERVICE AND 5% TAXES and the menu didn't say anything about that. We feel cheated!! 😤😡

Decent Indian, service very quick, restaurant clean. The food was tasty. Don’t remember the name but it was between masala and curry. The Nan bread was good!

We were regular customers because we liked a few dishes. The service was never satisfying despite the service charges that they include automatically in your bill. But the last time was the worst! They had a new manager who was simply rude and unprofessional with everything he did. When we arrived, he decided to control one of his waiters and chose to stand right behind my friend at a distance where he could almost smell her hair with an attitude that had nothing polite or professional in it. Next, he couldn't care less about us, busy that he was with other customers. We ordered three dishes and only one was served after 30 min of wait. So my friend had to eat because it was getting cold. Nobody bothered telling us that the other dishes would take more time. More than 30 minutes after the first dish was served, nothing came yet! We complained and the manager left in the middle of it without a word or an apology! I paid and we left without touching the rest of the dishes. This was surely my last time at that restaurant.

Really slow service, also the staff need to be more confident, it seems that they have no idea whats going on. They forgot something that I ordered, but it arrived quickly after I told them, because I arrived 1 hour before they closed. Tasty food on a buffet that is kept warm just watch out as the unscrupulous owner is happy to rip off tourists. Food of this type would usually be about 5000 kyat including drinks and we were charged 9200!!! Our most expensive meal in Myanmar. Honestly give this place a miss as there are several other Shan buffets near by.

I tried something different for pizza called their Jermy’s and had feta cheese was pretty good. Little dry but maybe just because it was beef. But I spread some pizza sauce over and o my their pizza sauce is the best and cheese sticks was amazing. Great quality nice setup fabulous service and a little warm but they will put fans on you to stay cool was a hot day out also. Nice setup no WiFi but offers many items from shakes to coffee all fresh. Would definitely go back.

Staff was very nice and friendly, just excellent ! We had a pizza and spaghetti. As a starter we choosed cheese sticks and onion rings. The food was really good. We both liked it! Well the pizza is not like in Italy, but honestly I had much worse pizza in Italy too. It was delicious. Prices are reasonable (a 12 inch pizza starts from 9000 kyat) There are also smaller and bigger pizzas (8 / 10 and 18 inches) I defenetely recommend Central Park's Pizza

Central Park's at 77th/27th Street is a pizza place. But I was tempted to try their wallet-friendly Striploin steak and nachos. I ordered a medium done steak. The presentation was simple, the steak smaller, nothing like what's featured in the brochure. The lightly roasted bread was plain without garlic or butter. However the steak was yummy. I have been trying a few steaks for the last 8 months I am here that I couldn't find anything satisfactory. But this one makes me want to come back to try other dishes. I also packed back chicken nachos to eat with friends. They enjoyed it.

Chill atmosphere with basic ice cream flavours that remind you of your childhood. Mango Yogurt smoothie is okay, could have been nicely sweeter to my liking. Fun beverages menu. Our waitress is very knowledgable and serves very well which is quite rare in restaurants in Mandalay. Good hygiene. Lastly, it makes me happy that the fish tank is well maintained and taken good care of. Tells you about how they treat the business.

We loved going there because they had Kirin beer. The setting is nice to relax but the service can sometimes be slow. The dishes are OK but sometimes too pricey for their quality.

As far as Mandalay prices go for coffee shops, Koffee Korner runs decently priced drinks and it has a large selection of hot and cold beverages. I didn’t get to try the food, but the seats are comfortable and the Wi-Fi is decent. Add to those the choice of indoor air conditioned seating or outdoor tables under the trees, and you have a really good spot for relaxing and talking with friends. Location is easy to get to from the central Palace and the decor is old-world, if not a little bit dated. I also like how there are electrical outlets available at many tables; something you don’t see in other, stingier places. However, I give it only 2 stars because they charge tax AND service charges separately on the bill, but they don’t inform the customer in the menus. Sorry, but f**k you, Koffee Korner! This is a nationwide scam among stingy and devious restaurants.

Service is excellent, as always in Myanmar. Restaurant decor is tasteful. Inside is airy and cool. Chilled out low music makes the place very relaxing. I ate the spicy fried rice and vegetables (with madatory fried egg) - delicious. The banana smoothie is outstanding. I finished with a cappuccino, which was pretty good (not outstanding but I would order again).

Everything was great from start to finish. We were seated right away and amazed at all the choices! The menu was very detailed, with pictures and included English. I’m so glad I got the sticky rice noodle, it’s so chewy just how I like it. They also have chicken wings served in three different ways which I also recommend. The decor was interesting to look at while we waited for our order to arrive.

We found this place on Google maps and checked out their reviews. They looked ok and so we went exploring to find them. Didn't look like much from the outside but inside was a cute little eating area. Friendly staff, spoke some English, had English menus with lots of choice and trip advisor posters showing their excellence rating. Delicious food. We had the noodle bowl, hand cut french fries and a Shan spicy chicken dish with rice - 7000ks. Highly recommend.

Large menu to choice from. We had chicken noddle soup, dry chicken noddle, salad, fries and a vegetable & deep fried tofu dishes. The fried tofu was delicious & there were heaps not only four pieces! Had a fresh juice lime&mint that was yummy too and a big Myranmar beer too. People are very nice too.

A nice noodle joint with a large variety of options. My husband got the flat noodle chicken soup which was solid. I chose the Burmese spicy tofu salad which was one of my favorite dishes that Ive had in myanmar. Excellent!

We came here fairly famished from a day of travel. The restaurant is more modern looking that others with an open air environment. We went with a couple draft beers, some dim sum, and the seafood noodle dish which filled us both up. All for 4200 kyat! Their menu is extensive and we'll be back to try the BBQ for sure.

I paid 16,000 for below fried rice on 18 Jan 2025. It is super high price for that potion. It felf me unsatisfied. But 80,00 of finger fish fried was tasty and fair price.

Menu: The menu didn't have any prices mentioned so you never really know how much you will end up paying. If we asked the waiter (who was standing next to our table until we were ready to order) he didn't really understood the question. Food: When I tried to order fried chicken he said there were none (bbq place?) But when my boyfriend ordered the Thai boxing fried rice he got two fried chicken pieces on the side (after tasting it, it might not have been chicken after all) his fried rice was kind of bland as well. I ordered the Mie Goreng (indonesian style fried noodles) with vegetables, but it ended up being non-indonesian instant noodles mixed with vegetables and wait for it... french fries(!) mixed into it. Not what I expected at all. The vegetables were delicious, but the french fries were not wel cooked/fried through and very soggy in the noodles, which made the whole dish taste off. Service: The service was a bit weird as well. As aforementioned, the waiter(s) don't really speak english. This wouldn't bother me that much if it were a really local small place on the street, but for an international vibes kind of place it bothered me a bit. After about 20 min of waiting for our food they served me a dish that wasn't meant for me and took it away after 5 minutes and only then bothered to tell my boyfriend that the dish that he ordered was no longer available. After another 20min we finally got our food. A rather disappointing dinner it was.

My favorite Japanese bbq in town, meats are fresh, dishes are likewise great indeed. My fav dishes would be garlic cheese rice, very flavorful with garlic aroma yum yum 😋 Service provided was very thoughtful. Restaurant lighting is very good to take aesthetic photo, but maybe can have a better taste on music. 😌

I would say a good quailty of both food and service. A5 wagyu is good, saba fish and especially the miso soup. We ordered one more miso to the meal! Waiters are nice, could give prompt response. But, still could improve on the seating area and decoration.

The seat was abit uncomfortable for me, but the food was really good and the atmosphere was really chill, but the waiters are just like staring at us while we eat our BBQ so I felt a little bit uncomfortable but overall it’s a pretty good restaurant if you are interested in eating Japanese food.

Could say the best beef in town. Whenever we gather with friends, family or relatives is the best place to chill. I would highly recommend this shop for its taste and service. if u guys have achance try it!!!

One of the best Japanese eating out in the Mandalay City. One can get beef, Maki and tempting Sushi which is a treat both for the tongue and the eyes. Price is quite decent. Must try the rice in stone pot. One time visit is a must.

Very nice place to taste true Yakiniku in Mandalay . Have a verity of premium imported beefs which are super worthy to try. Overall hygienic and good customer services as well.

Average place. Were brought here by our taxi driver, he recommended this restaurant. There were only tourists eating there, the prices are a bit higher than at your street food stall, the food is ok and the staff is friendly although as soon as we were finished, they brought the bill which is a bit uncharming.

We were on a one day trip to Sagaing and the travel agency made a stop over for lunch which was included in our fees. You have to pay for drinks though. I ordered Chinese fried vermicelli and it turned out to be a real big portion and real good! Two other tourists ordered fried rice and soup noodle and they were just as happy with their yummy food. I recommend you try this restaurant.

Big kitchen with many friendly people. We tried the noodle soup (which i got with egg instead of meat) for 1500 Kyat and naan bread with beans (400 Kyat). Veggie curry with naan bread (3000 Kyat), dumplings (4000 Kyat) and fresh pineapple juice (1000 Kyat). The dumplings (freshly made by four people) and the curry you can easily share, since the portions are big. Everything was delicious. Tourists get the menu with English/Chinese translation and food pictures. Highly recommended!

Friendly staff but poor quality food and super slow service. We waited for 30 mins to get our drinks, and another 15mins to get all dishes. The pork in crispy pork with noodle was all fat. And mixed vegetables was in super small portion. (2500 kyat)

A busy little joint with an English menu and accompanying pictures! I had the chicken Shan noodle with soup. It was delicious! I also ordered the Naan with chickpeas (on the menu it is Naan with peas). This was also quite tasty. We had a young boy serve us - he knew very little English but managed to communicate quite well. Super cheap and quick. Highly recommend!

A Great restaurant to try Myanmar food. Many kinds of Burmese food garnished in a pleasant way will be brought to you. Side dishes are free to get more but not the main dishes (meats). All dishes are so tasty and should be tried. Clean and spacious rooms or try a private room. Clean WCs. Not expensive at all.

The food was fine. But the toilet was definitely the worst. Was on an emergency with a stomachache and had to rushed into the toilet thinking there would be tissue inside but there weren’t any on both rooms. The floors were covered with dirt and there were spiders and lizards in the room with spiderweb on the ceiling. This could totally tell that they haven’t been cleaned for ages. The room was way too small and had to keep an eye on the spiders in case if they fell onto my knees. Huge disappointment with the restroom.

Outdoor restaurant Foods taste ok

Fairly decent local food 🥘 with the option to seat on a floor table over the lake (depending if there is a wind blowing though, that can smell good or not). The staff only speak Burmese and the menus are written in Burmese (not a complaint just a heads up to foreigners visiting). Prices are reasonable and service was speedy on the quiet day we visited.

Good flavorful food. The fried lotus root was great and extremely crisp. The location is picturesque, with individual sheltered platforms on the lake. Although the restaurant has an English name, they had no English menu and the staff spoke only the very basic, but the menu had good photos of the food, and we were able to ascertain what the dishes contained with a little effort.

Thai restaurant in Mandalay , just 10 minutes drive from Mandalay city centre located in new town . The food are really good and tasty : if you don't prefer spicy , you should tell first to reduce the spicy . Cleanliness is also good , toilet are little need to improve . Their AC are perfect for Mandalay hot weather to rest .

My best gastronomic experience in Myanmar! And it happened to be one of the cheapest ones as well. At a lovely setting with views of pagodas, beautiful at sun light during the day and gorgeous when illuminated at night. The food was fenomenal. If I could I would hire the chef to be my private cook home in New York. The owner is a travel guide and he speaks fantastic English, had I known I would had booked him to be my guide. Most of local guides have basic English.

The Village House is a true gem in Burma. Naing Lin, made us feel very welcome and truly cares about being a wonderful host, and the freshness and flavour of the food was wonderful. The attention to detail in the venue was wonderful, all the greenery and the care on the plants and garden was beautiful to see. It was a true oasis, in a long day of scooter driving and temple spotting. A true gem and one of my fondest memories of Myanmar.

Best restaurant we had in the whole Bagan area during the week. The food was way better than the busy restaurants in NyaungU, although a bit further away from the city, this is the place to go if you have a chance to stop by this small village. The atmosphere is wonderful. Food, view, quiet place, superb service in the place all contributes to a 5 star restaurant. Definitely worth coming again and again.

We selected this place for lunch mid way through our long bicycle ride, and we really happy we did. The food is excellent, the menu has a mix of Burmese, Thai & Chinese food. Our Burmese curry and ginger salad were delicious! Loved my ginger hot tea also. The staff and service was excellent; spoke good English. We enjoyed the conversation with the owner. The quality of the restaurant itself was good. The outlook across the grass to some nearby stupas is relaxing and interesting. This is a rare find - not overrun by tourists, and with excellent food.

Great staff, great view, great food and staff very friendly. We asked where we can get some cigarettes but one of the staff gave us 2 cigarettes for free. By best food experience in bagan. (They have mutton :) )

The ကြက်ချဥ်စက် was very good as per all the food but the problem is that it takes half an hour for the food to arrive. The atmosphere was very noisy and doesn't have Wifi and has bad signal. The price was reasonable.

Tasty Italian food, nice ambience, a bit costly for burmese standards but worth a visit if you're not on a budget traveler. 4 stars only because of the prize / size ratio, portions could be bigger.

Great Italian food! Friendly chef though the waitress could be a bit more smiley. But it doesn't affect the quality of food so we were happy. Will go back again for sure.
