G & Tea is a charming tearoom located on historic Friar Street, owned by Chrissy and Therese. The cozy spot offers 14 varieties of loose leaf tea, along with delectable treats like banana bread, coffee and walnut cake, and strawberry tarts. For heartier options, they serve breakfast items such as Scotch pancakes and buttered crumpets, as well as lunch dishes like homemade quiche of the day, fresh salads, and hearty sandwiches.
A lovely little place with such welcoming staff. The afternoon tea is delightfully served in mismatched tea cups, pots and saucers. It was a lovely place to catch up with friends. It is a shame it has now closed but I wish everyone who worked there his luck for the future!

A truly excellent tea shop which serves delicious cream teas, cakes, sandwiches and teapot gins! Staff are delightful and the proprietor has really put her heart and creativity into it with lovely porcelain and decor. A first class place to recover after visiting the Cathedral.

When my sister said she wanted a baby shower for a few friends at a cute venue with good food, I knew the best place to go in Worcester would be G&Tea! Laura was so helpful from my initial enquiry through booking and confirmation and on the day itself Emma was a star. We were able to put up a few decorations and put our own spin on things, which was so kind of them and helped make everything feel really special for my sister. We all ordered different food (sandwiches/afternoon tea) however everything was freshly made and completely delicious (we were given doggy bags to take leftovers home with!). Thank you G&Tea for such a great experience!

Fabulous afternoon tea. The scones were lovely and hot and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. On leaving they let my daughter chance her luck on a lucky dip prize draw - and she won a cup! Highly recommend and will definitely go again

This is a little gem of a place. My friend and I went here for lunch and the food it just amazing. I had a scone and it was big and warm and so tasty! It's one of the best scones I've had. My friend had the afternoon tea, it had cute little sandwiches of different fillings and fresh home made cake and of course a scone! She also had a gin cocktail that came in a chilled teapot with a tea cup and saucer. We sat upstairs and it's like going back in time to your grandparents house. It's full of old style furnature and cute little nick nacks. The staff are super friendly and chatty and they really have made the most of the space they have. When I was there they said they allow dogs in the downstairs seating area which is always a bonus for me. I really would recommend trying this place if you haven't done so already. I am really looking forward to going back again.

A lovely quaint tea room with friendly staff and lovely food! Always check the specials for the day, the Toffee Crunch scone was out of this world!!

Nestled outside Worcester, the Stanbrook Abbey Hotel is a luxurious retreat housed in a 16th-century monastery. The property boasts stunning landscaped gardens and offers fine dining experiences along with a charming piano lounge. With its private chapel and Georgian manor house, it's an ideal choice for group gatherings. The hotel features a mix of rooms and suites, blending historic elements with modern comforts.
We stayed here while attending a training, and I have to say it turned out to be such a refreshing experience. The staff were genuinely some of the kindest and most polite I’ve encountered in the hospitality industry here in the UK. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The rooms and the entire place were spotless and beautifully maintained. Every corner felt thoughtfully designed, and each door seemed to open up to a little hidden gem waiting to be explored. The food at the restaurant truly exceeded our expectations delicious, fresh, and satisfying. All in all, it was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. A calm, relaxing break that we truly appreciated.

A really interesting hotel with fantastic old Abbey rooms and corridors to explore. Lovely friendly service. Plenty of parking space outside. Hotel grounds are worth a walk around. The modern airport lounge bar area decor doesn't seem in keeping with the rest of the hotel somehow but the bar staff were amazing . Standard room a bit on the small side but very clean and comfortable with the usual facilities. Breakfast was great in a nice restaurant area. Nice choice and well presented. Again , lovely staff. It's the friendly staff and welcome that really stand out and make this place a great place to stay.

We loved our stay at the Stanbrook hotel! Everything was perfect, from the accomodations and food, to the hospitality of the staff, especially a concierge named Mike. Each night of our stay, he went out of his way to help us with drinks, directions, and gave us valuable information about the history of the hotel, neighboring Worcester, Malvern and Cheltenham, where we were headed. Mike was so helpful with everything that we needed that I asked him a bit about himself. He spoke briefly of his childhood in Gambia, and his many years in England, but he was most excited to tell us for his love of the hotel, and his affinity for working in the Hand-Picked network. As a business owner in the U.S., I could only dream of having such a loyal and professional employee. We will definitely be coming back to Stanbrook!

Was visiting the Morgan Car Factory which is about ten miles away and wanted to stay in a nearby country hotel. Having read the reviews of previous guests I was in no doubt that this establishment deserves its reputation and so I took advantage of their book early, pay now no cancel room rate. The hotel is easy to find and is set in well maintained grounds. They have a main entrance drop off point, (and disabled car parking for guests), which would be useful for guests during inclement weather even though their car parks are relatively close by. We were staying during a 30c+ heatwave and were pleased that the air-conditioning was effective not only in the reception, bar and lounge areas but also in the bedrooms. Lifts take you to all floors. Bedrooms and their bathrooms were of good size, nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. All staff were friendly, helpful and gave that personal touch that helps sets this hotel apart from the others vying for your business. From my personal experience I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and shall be staying there again in the future.

Beautiful place, second visit as we went to a wedding here a few years ago. The food and service were brilliant, spacious rooms and very clean. Lovely gardens and an outside seating area. The Morgan car factory is just down the road, we had an amazing tour, watching them build the cars from scratch.

A truly beautiful place, friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Breakfast very tasty, But there is a 12.5% service charge on top of the prices. Which was quite a surprise when we paid for our afternoon tea and any drinks in the bar.
B B — Google review
A wonderful place fo stay, the staff were friendly polite and professional and the location was fantastic with so much to see around the Hotel / Abbey. You can even go up to the Bell Tower with a card key, ask at Receptio. It is definitely worth all those steps for the views, especially on a clear day.
Deborah H — Google review
Welcome, cleanliness and food were all superb. Service in the bar can only be described as odd, with passive-aggressive reactions to questions from ourselves and other guests. A young team who were more interested in each other than their Guests. The biggest issue though was the temperature of the room which was like being in a sauna. The hotel had installed a wall fan, but this didn't make much difference and was very noisy. We had our dog with us, so assumed they had no other dog-friendly rooms available.

Nestled in 10 acres of lush gardens and woodlands, Southcrest Manor Hotel, Best Western Signature Collection offers elegant rooms individually adorned with a country charm. The hotel boasts a Laura Ashley Tea Room and restaurant, as well as a fitness suite and Health and Beauty Club. Guests can enjoy the convenience of free WiFi and parking. Additionally, the hotel is recognized for its safety measures with "We're Good to Go" Accreditation from Visit England.
We recently had our wedding at Southcrest Manor Hotel and we couldn't have wished for a better venue. The older part of the Hotel is beautiful and has wonderful traditional features that make for stunning photos. The executive rooms in this part of the hotel are absolutely beautiful and very spacious with lovely fixtures, fittings and extras like coffee machine and dressing gowns. The newer parts of the hotel have great facilities too and the rooms are comfy, well appointed and offer a lovely night's sleep. The grounds are huge and very well maintained. Photo opportunities are available from literally every single angle. Our wedding breakfast, buffet and breakfast the next morning were all delicious. Quality ingredients are clearly in use and the food is prepared perfectly. We booked our Wedding with Kay and she is a star- helpful throughout, knowledgeable and just down right lovely during the whole process. On the day a well organised team worked perfectly with each other to make sure our special day was perfect. Jordan and Taylor stayed super calm and collected throughout the whole day and night. Nothing was too much for them to handle- lively little children running wild in the woods and teenagers trying to be hip and cool- all dealt with quickly and quietly without any upset to anyone- especially us as bride and groom. I would whole heartedly recommend Southcrest Manor Hotel to everyone and we are already booked to go back. Thank to everyone at the Hotel for helping to make our day perfect.

I recently visited Southcrest Manor for a spa day and overall it was a bit of a mixed experience. The building itself is charming but the décor definitely feels dated, especially in the changing rooms. We were given grey robes to use, one of which looked bleached, so presentation could really be improved. On the positive side, the staff were absolutely lovely, friendly, welcoming and made us feel comfortable throughout our visit. The treatments were easily the highlight – both the massages and facials were excellent and left us feeling properly relaxed and pampered. We also really enjoyed using the hot tub, which added to the relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately, the afternoon tea was very disappointing. The tea options were limited and my gluten, dairy and egg free option felt like an afterthought. I was given far less food than my daughter, no quiche, and just a fruit salad instead of scones. The gluten free bread tasted stale, which made the sandwiches unappealing. My daughter had the standard afternoon tea and, although it looked more varied, her sandwiches tasted like they had been sitting out for a while and the scones were extremely hard. For the price, it did not feel worth the money. In summary, the spa treatments and the wonderful staff made the day special, but the outdated facilities and disappointing afternoon tea really let the experience down. I would happily return for the treatments, but I would not book the afternoon tea again.

Life savers. After having appalling service from another local hotel (should be hostel) where they cancelled last minute, leaving us nowhere to stay, after having travelled 4 hours from Cornwall to see a sick relative - Southcrest Manor Hotel came to our rescue. Warm and welcoming service, even if it was 11pm, very accommodating and extremely helpful. Ensured we had a ground floor disabled friendly room for my wife. Great service and we'd definitely look to book here again should we need to visit the area again

We were mostly happy with this hotel. Our room overlooked the gardens, and it looked like it had only just been renovated—most things felt new. I understand, though, that the single glazing is probably due to them wanting to keep it's originality. It was still a warm room, though. The bed was comfy enough, and it had four pillows, all of different softness/hardness. The staff were very polite and helpful. The reason it didn’t get a full 5 stars was the evening meal, which let it down. I really didn’t rate the bangers and mash; it was three small sausages swimming in gravy with overcooked, very firm mash. I requested no broccoli but was given it anyway—and there was a lot of broccoli. I’m not a fan of sending food back and potentially upsetting the chef. I’m not saying your chef would have sabotaged my replacement food, but I don’t like any potential confrontation. I saw the table next to me all got the fish and chips, and that actually looked quite nice. We were happy enough to try to stay an extra night, but sadly you were full. If we could have tried the food again—but something different—it could have potentially changed my impression of the food. If I’m ever in the Redditch area again and need a hotel, I would be happy to try your place again.

Attendwd my nieces wedding and stayed overnight. The service and staff were excellent and the wedding breakfast was perfect. Drinks were not too expensive for a hotel. The room was really nice and quite modern although the bed was a little hard and too small for our liking. It was also too hot as we could not seem to turn the radiators down. Breakfast was delicious and a good selection on offer

Visited today as part of a large family group and had afternoon tea. There's a brilliant deal on throughout August where children can have free afternoon tea with paying adults. There was lots of food so we had to take some boxes home with us! We found the service good and the options within the afternoon tea were excellent. Photo attached of childrens' afternoon tea. The grounds of the hotel are lovely, and we spotted a small gym and outdoor hot tub area too. Can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay over. We will return soon to try a Sunday roast. Thank you.

I got bedbugs at this hotel and staff could not have been less helpful about it. I noticed the bites in the morning after my stay. I let them know after checking out that same evening. They didn’t believe them when I told them about it. They said that it could be allergies of some kind. I assured them that I wasn’t looking for a refund, that all I wanted was to make sure that they handled the situation for the safety of other clients. The receptionist told me that they wanted to make things right by me if they really were bed bugs and asked for photos of the bites. I obliged and sent them the photos. They received the photos and agreed that they were bed bug bites. Days went by and I didn’t receive an refund that they had promised. I email them to ask when they would be processing the refund, as the receptionist claimed they wanted to make it right by me. The manager then told me that she didn’t mean they would give me a refund, they were just going to offer me support through the process. (The support they offered me was a link to the UK government website about how to handle bed bugs. Which had little to no helpful information about how to handle it.) The manager then offered me only a 50% refund, claiming they were only doing it out of goodwill to keep me as a customer. The whole time they claimed that the room did not have bedbugs. (I am certain the bugs came from this hotel, I had not stayed anywhere else that trip) I could not be more disappointed. I have never had such a bad experience at a hotel in my life. 0/10

Nestled in the scenic Teme Valley, The Elms Hotel & Spa is a luxurious countryside retreat housed in a beautifully refurbished Queen Anne-style mansion set within 10 acres of stunning gardens. This 4-star hotel offers plush rooms, an indoor pool, and a top-notch spa featuring bespoke Elemis therapies. Guests can also enjoy award-winning cuisine and activities like tennis and croquet on the expansive grounds.
Incredible stay at The Elms this past weekend. Staff & service were all top notch. Rooms pristine, gorgeous décor around the hotel & immaculate grounds. The spa & treatments were also 10/10. Absolutely heavenly. Special mention must go to the chef, kitchen staff & hotel staff who went out of their way to accommodate our request for Halal chicken for our dinner & made sure that we were well looked-after. Tad on the pricey side & the breakfast offerings were a bit slim but all minor in the grand scheme of things. Amazing experience overall & would highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene little getaway.

Very nice hotel set in beautiful grounds. We stayed for 3 nights on the discounted deal which included breakfast. The rooms were nicely decorated and quite a big size. We had 2 rooms so thought we would be put near each other however we were on the opposite sides of the hotel. The spa was really nice, never too busy, and we all had a massage which we would definitely recommend. It was lovely to sit outside in the many seating areas around the hotel. The breakfast could use some improvements. The continental option was very limited and we had to ask for the food to be replenished. The full English was good however the other hot options just felt like they were trying to be too fancy (eg crispy onions on eggs Benedict) and there were no sweet options. The evening dinner was also good, we all had steak which was a 10/10 however the dessert was just odd and didn't taste right. The food was expensive but that’s expected for a hotel. We saw reviews saying that their bill at the end was incorrect, ours was also incorrect but can understand mistakes happen and they were quick to change it. We would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxing spa weekend away!
Amelia — Google review
I regret booking this hotel as a pit-stop and not a destination in itself. We stayed for only one night but wished we had booked for at least two or three nights so that we would have time to enjoy the spa. The room was cosy and well-appointed, the service was excellent, and the grounds are beautiful; the hotel itself looks straight out of a luxury country living/design magazine. Highly recommend having breakfast at the hotel, too. The hotel has an excellent reputation in the area; our friends had previously visited for a wedding and thoroughly enjoyed their time. We will definitely return for a longer stay and have recommended The Elms Hotel to our family and friends.
Samantha C — Google review
We stayed at the Elms Hotel in Stockton very recently and were so disappointed in the experience. Unlike our previous visit the hotel standards and service seem to have really gone down. Our bathroom had literally drips of water coming out of the bath taps and the basin had hardly any water coming from the hot or cold tap. We were unable to have a bath before going for dinner. My husband reported this to the reception and we were told maintenance would be informed. In the meantime I went to the bar and ordered a Margherita which the barman served telling me he had no limes but it wouldn’t make any difference to the taste!!! In the morning there was still no water pressure and still no sign of maintenance. We asked for the manager to contact us, no contact was made until the 3rd attempt of calling and asking when finally we got a text from him to tell us how busy he was, and that we should send him our feedback via text message. It really feels like the hotel are not bothered at all about the customer experience or the standard of their facilities. Really a sincere apology was all that was needed. Just for future feedback to the barman, perhaps tell the guest prior to serving a cocktail if you are missing a key ingredient, and they can make another choice. Feedback for the manager and staff, please listen to your guests. I don’t think it’s to much to ask them they have running water in the bathroom for £300 a night! It seems since this hotel has changed ownership it no longer values the guest experience, and is sadly lacking in attention to detail and manners. What a shame….

Absolutely perfect stay. We went for one night midweek. Impeccable service throughout from everyone in the bar, restaurants and spa. Doggy cam too and he was very well received!! The room was beautiful and spotless. Stunning building and grounds and the unique decor is a real vibe! Luxurious but not pompous throughout. The room, food, drinks and spa were very decent value for the quality and experience. Thanks everyone at The Elms - what a treat!!

The Elms Hotel & Spa is an amazing place for a stay, spa trip and meal. The experience is luxurious from the start through the end. The room was upgraded for us and very likely left with free birthday decorations, a spacious and comfy room with a walk in shower and bath. The spa had everything needed for a good few hours of relaxation, steam rooms, sauna and jacuzzi. The meal is fairly expensive but the food absolutely brilliant, the service was excellent. I’d definitely recommend a stay at this place.
Geo — Google review
My partner and I spent an entire week at The Elms, with our dog Arthur, in one of the Coach House suites. Absolutely ideal for people staying with a dog as it has a spacious terrace (and ours had a lovely table in the garden, as well as 2 outdoor baths!). The food in Badgers was also excellent - we worked our way through the menu at dinner, trying something different most days, and (although a little expensive - London prices) we did feel it was worth it for such creative and tasty food. Service is friendly, down to earth and the staff do their best to help with requests, while also not being too overbearing. Definitely worth a stay, especially if you are looking for somewhere dog friendly, or for a little spa break as a couple.

Service by Mick was wonderful. Thank you. Calamari starter x 3, great. 3 of 4 mains fabulous (Moroccan lamb, chicken kebab and mixed kebab) couldn’t fault, delicious. Paella on the other hand was appalling. Shouldn’t have been served. Was crispy on edges and stuck to pan and muscles were so overcooked they were crispy like paper. Had waited nearly an hour so when offered a replacement, declined. Wasn’t taken off bill though even though management admitted had had several complaints. Very disappointed. Was daughter’s birthday and kindly served her chocolate brownie pudding on a plate beautifully decorated with happy birthday. Thank you for 3 nice meals, shame it was spoilt by one that should never have been sent out. We’re also sat as soon as you enter restaurant, felt a bit like being the corridor!

My husband and I went for dinner for my birthday and we were greeted immediately. We were taken to our table and told that Cadie was our waitress today. Unfortunately after this point, the service was very poor. We had to wait 15 minutes to order drinks. After our starters were eaten, we were sat with empty plates for another 15 minutes. Only once the chef kept ringing the service bell countless times was our table cleared and our mains were then brought out. Our mains were cleared again about 10 minutes after finishing. We were given the dessert menu and left with this for 20 minutes. So we decided not to have a dessert as we didn’t want to be waiting around again. The man who came to ask us if we wanted dessert then brought our bill immediately and the card machine as I think he could tell we were tired of waiting. The food was really tasty apart from the main meal did seem like it has been waiting for a while before being brought to our table. We’ve been going to Ego for years but there seemed to be a change of staff and there wasn’t very much in the way of attentiveness unfortunately. Hopefully whenever we return it is better than this experience.

I have visited this place twice and had 2 completely different experiences. The first visit was on a Wednesday lunchtime and the food was brilliant with excellent service from all staff especially molly who recommended the very tasty mixed kebab. Sadly we visited again today on a Sunday lunchtime, the starters took quite a while to come out and for our main, me and my wife had a trio of roasts, which to our dissapointment the roasters and parsnips where quite tough/hard and not enjoyable at all, the meat was ok but that was it really. My son had a pizza but he said he couldn't eat the pineapple on it because the pineapple was also quite hard. After such an enjoyable first visit, it's such a shame the second was the polar opposite. At the end nobody asked how our food was and i can definitely say It certainly wasnt worth the £133 we spent today.

Table of 11of us arrived at 7.30 on a Saturday evening having prebooked. A number of us had decided to have steak but were then informed after the waitress came to take the order they had no steaks whatsoever. Why was this and why weren't we told on arrival. Another 20 minutes passed whilst everyone decided again . When the food did arrive it was OK but nothing more. Won't be returning .

Tisanes Tea Rooms is a charming spot in the Cotswolds known for its delightful scones and inviting ambiance. Visitors praise the delicious cream teas and breakfast offerings, with some describing it as a hidden gem reminiscent of a secret garden. The tea room's appeal extends to its picturesque back garden, where guests can enjoy their meals under the shade of a tree.
We stopped at Tisanes Tea Rooms in Broadway for lunch and were very pleased with the experience. The service was brilliant—friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The sandwiches were lovely, fresh, and satisfying, offering great value compared to other cafes in Broadway that charge nearly double. They also catered well for our coeliac daughter with gluten free options which is a bonus. Tisanes is an exquisite cafe and feels like a hidden gem, combining quality food with a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you want a tasty lunch without breaking the bank in Broadway.

Excellent place to have a light lunch or afternoon tea. There is a nice garden in the back with outdoor seating. A good variety of tea or coffee to choose from. I had the quiche which was delicious. My wife has a tuna melt and said it was the best sandwich she had for a long time. Would love to come back and try their scones and cakes as well.

This is a must when visiting Broadway. It's dog friendly and child friendly. Quirky inside. Staff are super friendly, polite and professional. The scrambled egg was absolutely delicious, friends had toasted sandwiches which they were very pleased with. Lovely place to buy some gifts too. They have an ice cream stand outside which looked yummy. Pricea are really reasonable!

Decent enough café among several in Broadway. Despite being seated at 11.45am we weren't able to order breakfast. The waitress said it was finished but on the menu it said it was available until 12 midday. Disappointing. We had a sandwich and a hot drink each. The sandwiches were average and nothing to write home about.

What a lovely traditional English tea room, we stumbled across this about 2 o’clock in the afternoon when we were feeling a little bit peckish and fancied a cup of tea or coffee. We were seated right in the window of the tea room which was a lovely location, and served good old-fashioned tea from a teapot with a tea strainer using real tea leaves. We also had a bite to eat, I had a hot New Yorker sandwich and my wife had a large bowl of butternut squash soup with a roll with a latte, which was all lovely. The best bit about all of this was the price, considering the location this is NOT one of these tourist places where they rip you off and charge extortionate prices, our total bill, was approximately £20, that is extremely reasonable in such a beautiful tourist location. Oh, and I forgot to mention the service was extremely good and quick.

Worst place we’ve been in UK so far. Service is none existence. I saw similar reviews but thought to give it a chance since it look quaint from outside. My husband and I both waves our hand couple of times, as you can see in the video - many servers in the kitchen chatting, some walking around, no one bother. There is a young lady that attended to us at the door and still standing there doing nothing but refuse to attend to us. Her face shows so much displeasure. If she hated the job and people so much, she should not be servings. Staff in the kitchen does not wear gloves and handled everything bare hands. Food is not great. Avoid this place at all costs!!!!!

Our favourite tearoom in Broadway. Love the old fashioned cakes, especially the ginger cake. Very friendly team and dog friendly.

Our favourite tea room to visit when we are in Broadway. Lots of gluten free options for me, and dog biscuits for our little dog. Really friendly staff and excellent service. Can definitely recommend 👍🏻

Nestled in the picturesque heart of Great Malvern, the Mulberry Tree Restaurant & Bar offers a delightful dining experience that perfectly complements its stunning surroundings. Located within the Mount Pleasant hotel, this charming eatery boasts breathtaking views of the historic Priory and the scenic Vale of Evesham. The ambiance is inviting and relaxed, reflecting its Georgian townhouse heritage. Whether you're stopping by for lunch, dinner, or dessert, you can expect a menu filled with delicious food and drink options that celebrate local flavors.
My daughter took me to the Mulberry Tree for my birthday. I have to say it was exceptional, from the moment we walked in. Service first class, food excellent, atmosphere great. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking about going. Will definitely go back.

Came here with my other half. The food was lovely and the staff were friendly. Quite surprised with the burger as although it was small, it was quite filling. Definitely quality over quantity. The rum old fashioned was a disaster though, very cheaply made while being quite expensive. Recommend coming here, just avoid that cocktail 😅

Absolutely fantastic staff were excellent host very friendly and welcoming nothing was too much trouble. Food was superb. Can’t see enough how good the place was we will definitely go back again. The hotel bedrooms that we were in was fantastic. Shower was great. Very lovely place to visit and beautiful views. Well worth a visit.

We recently visited this restaurant, having always admired how smart and welcoming it looked from the outside. We assumed the menu would reflect the same sense of quality and were really looking forward to sharing the experience with friends who were visiting for the weekend. Unfortunately, our meal did not quite live up to expectations. While the prices suggested a high standard of dining, we felt the food itself fell short. Portion sizes were noticeably small, and a few details stood out as disappointing. For example, £4.50 for a single slice of garlic bread served on a small bed of rocket seemed excessive, particularly as the bread appeared to have been frozen. Similarly, the description of “artisan bread” felt misleading when what arrived was closer to a lightly toasted slice of supermarket loaf. We completely appreciate that dining out involves more than just generous portions, and we value attention to detail and presentation. However, given the pricing, we had hoped for something more aligned with the impression the restaurant conveys. We truly wanted to enjoy and recommend this as a local highlight, but on this occasion we left feeling a little underwhelmed.

Came here for a Sunday roast while visiting Great Malvern. I was excited, as the Mulberry Tree was highly rated. However, unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The atmosphere felt quite soulless, service slow (though servers were at least friendly), and the food poorly prepared. I won’t be going back, and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone visiting.
Archie B — Google review
A very pleasant place, but my chicken was underwhelming. Although we waited for ages, no one asked us if we wanted a desert or a cup of tea after the main course. It felt as though we were invisible. Fortunately Malvern has plenty of good coffee/tea shops, so we went elsewhere.
Jeremy W — Google review
Had Sunday lunch here today as part of our anniversary weekend away. Unfortunately the lunch was possibly the worst plates of food we have been served in a very long time. We had the bread selection and chicken liver pate to start. The bread all seemed store bought and I’m pretty certain some of it was Hovis with the crusts cut off. The Sunday lunch itself was just bad. The meat was over cooked and chewy, the gravy thin with discernible granules, the Yorkshire pudding Aunt Bessie’s finest, the roast potatoes undercooked, the cauliflower cheese without cheese… The only actually tasty bit was the braised cabbage. If I were being generous I would say that the chef was ill and front of house staff were trying their best to cover. It might also explain why their service was so bad. I never did get my horseradish.
Daniel S — Google review
The food and service were great. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because we were a little rushed when we were told that the kitchen closed at 8pm giving us 20 minutes.

Nestled in the charming village of Broadway within The Cotswolds, The Lygon Arms is a refined 17th-century hotel that seamlessly blends classic elegance with modern comforts. With a rich history spanning over 600 years, this quintessentially English hotel has welcomed royalty and rebellious figures alike. Guests can unwind by the roaring log fires in cozy lounges, indulge in traditional afternoon tea, and savor locally produced drinks and signature cocktails.
Only went for a drink and nibbles. The location is amazing, right in the centre of Broadway. The building is stunning and outside terrace was lovely on a summer's day. The service was a bit shocking, if I'm honest. One of the waiters who was tall and bold was quite rude and abrupt. There definitely wasn't service with a smile, and that wasn't just with us, we observed him like that with everyone. The olives were lovely and the homemade pork scratchings, amazing! I'd definitely go back for a meal next time. The waiter was probably just having an off day.

I know there are a lot of dog friendly hotels now, but the Lygon Arms has introduced a new level... a menu just for our beloved pups. We love our gourmet food, now our dogs can share the experience, in a beautiful setting with great service... the staff were all very fog friendly, putting them first

⭐☆☆☆☆ A Disastrous Stay at the Lygon Arms – A Hotel Living Off Its Reputation Our recent stay at the Lygon Arms was nothing short of a disappointment from start to finish. Despite being assured of a room in the main historic building, we were instead placed in a disabled-access room — without prior notice or explanation. The shower drain was clogged each time we used it, leaving the floor flooded. The sink height, designed for accessibility, was completely unsuitable, especially for my very tall partner who found it impossible to use comfortably. The night’s rest we hoped for was ruined by loud staff members gathered nearby, laughing and talking from 10 p.m. until midnight. After two hours of disturbance, I had to call reception to complain. When peace finally came, it was short-lived — at 2 a.m. I was woken by a spider crawling on my face. Service was delivered with polite smiles but by inexperienced, untrained staff, and virtually every order went wrong. Two main courses were forgotten entirely, and a prawn cocktail arrived without any mayonnaise dressing. Each attempt to correct the mistakes somehow made things worse. To make matters worse, the manager was unimpressive — lacking both presence and experience in luxury hospitality. Her manner did nothing to restore confidence or comfort after the series of mishaps. The Lygon Arms trades heavily on its history and supposed prestige, but on this showing, that legacy is in tatters. Poor management, untrained staff, inadequate housekeeping, and inattentive service turned what should have been a peaceful country retreat into an ordeal. We left exhausted, disappointed, and determined never to return. The Lygon Arms urgently needs experienced leadership, proper training, and a genuine commitment to hospitality — not just heritage marketing.

We loved our stay at the Lygon Arms. Broadway is a lovely town with just enough to do, and an easy drive to the other, busier towns around the Cotswolds. The Lygon Arms exudes charm and history, with very tasteful renovations. The restaurant was delicious, both the dinners and the breakfast included with the room. We loved all the nooks and crannies with cozy furniture for relaxing with a drink, as well as the beautiful outdoor gardens for dining or just walking about. We stayed in the oldest section of the building so did not have the benefit of air conditioning - which was a bit of an issue. The staff were very helpful, though, and brought two cooling fans to make the room more comfortable. The staff were great - always providing information, recommendations, advice, and just general good-natured chatting. We totally enjoyed meeting them. All-in-all a great experience, and we would definitely stay here again.

We had a meal in the dog-friendly Russell Room and it was stunning; great food, really well prepared and friendly, professional service. Lots of room for the pooches. Not cheap, but worth it for a real treat.

What a delightful hotel. From start to finish the experience was superb. I took two friends here to celebrate my birthday and my expectations were more than met. Both rooms were beautiful. My room, the cosy double, was stunning. I felt like I had time travelled back to the Tudor times. I also grew up with horses so I loved the photos. The room had the most comfortable bed, an excellent fan, well stocked tea tray and fresh milk available. This is a non negotiable for me. We ate in The Grill. The food was excellent as was the service. No one rushing you, but someone always on hand if you needed anything. Breakfast was a similar experience. A fantastic buffet of pastries and cereals and a delicious full English. There were many other choices to suit all tastes. Something I loved was the presence of staff all around the hotel. You would pop around a corner and a well dressed, polite staff member would appear to enquire if you need anything or just to say hello. This type of service is priceless. The building is steeped in history and you feel it in each perfectly preserved room. I also had a birthday plates of treats to welcome me. I cannot fault a single part of our stay and will be returning soon.

What a beautiful, charming hotel. Me and my husband just stayed here for our honeymoon, and felt like we were in an idyllic little bubble the whole time! The hotel itself is so cosy and steeped in history. We dined in both The Tavern and Grill - both delicious. The staff were very friendly, and made our stay a real treat. A special thank you to Grace in the spa for a fantastic massage! Nestled in the heart of Broadway, the location couldn’t be more stunning. We went on some lovely countryside walks, and the scenery is breathtaking. Would love to return!

Had my fair share of drinks here in the past but today I had a family meal…4 generations breaking bread together how delightful! I went for the steak & ale pie as shown in the pictures. Removing the top layer of puffy golden bark was like opening a small chest of succulent melt in your gob prime beef which was raised and cared for by the lovely family at Lygon arms itself. I demolished the pie within minutes like a dog returning from a hot, sweaty, playful and wholesome walkies. I shall be returning to this gem of a spot at my earliest convenience to enjoy yet another divine meal!

Nestled in the charming town of Great Malvern, The Terrace on the Hill is a delightful dining spot that offers a cozy atmosphere perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. This British bar and restaurant features an inviting café vibe during the day, transforming into an elegant venue with a tasting menu on select evenings. Had a gorgeous slice of orange and passion fruit tart, with a filling curried parsnip soup as my starter. We first popped in without a booking, (and again), and was told nothing available until a certain time. We returned. Left slightly confused with the set up as it’s cakes and coffee on first look but we needed to book… host gave us the impression she wasn’t so keen on us only having soup, cake and coffee between us. But alas, the menu had a delicious variety of dishes (which, had we not have had a cooked breakfast, we’d have ordered the risottos or afternoon tea) service was prompt, and the food was delicious!

Just had a fabulous lunch here, if this place would fit right in in a big city for quality of food, service, at an amazing price. Excellently prepared menu, fantastic salads, pastas and risotto. Great coffee and selection of cakes, had three courses and coffee for £25 each amazing value. Everything well thought through from the butter and bread to the room layout, attention to the smallest details. Excellent food and service, I will be back!

A cozy, warm & friendly atmosphere welcomed us to this small, exceptionally clean and unusually but nicely appointed cafe. The friendly staff were attentive, polite & helpful. Facilities were a little unusual too but clean & well stocked although access not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties (as down a two-flight staircase). We enjoyed promptly served drinks that were well presented & very nice. We didn't have to wait long for meals that were really nicely cooked & very tasty. The only negative was the menu was limited - unless you can enjoy eggs! Not aimed towards anyone on a low carb or low cholesterol diet, which is a shame because everything else really was very nice & they did do their best within their menu limitations to accommodate those special dietary needs. We were served with filling, excellently presented & flavoursome meals. Not the "Sunday dinner" type restaurant we initially hoped for prior to finding the place, but instead we were pleasantly surprised to really enjoy a well presented brunch in an upmarket tea shop aimed primarily to provide relaxing coffee breaks, afternoon tea or quick lunches - which they did beautifully. Overall an enjoyable experience in an unusual little cafe in the beautiful town of Malvern - don't miss them off your itinerary!

The property features immaculate gardens with a running stream, small waterfalls, and croquet lawns.
We went for afternoon tea as a birthday present for one of our party. The place had been recommended, and I can see why. It was all lovely. Great service and very accommodating. There was a couple of food requirements, and they sent out what had been requested. Food was absolutely delicious and a lovely selection of teas available. Would definitely recommend this place.

Come here for afternoon tea if you’re looking for a place of quiet luxury — calm, peaceful, and with a fantastic ambiance that feels like stepping into a experience from another time. We visited Buckley Manor for afternoon tea and made a same-day reservation through OpenTable without any issues. We opted for the cream tea, which was lovely. The tea selection process was a nice touch — they brought out a sample box so we could smell the blends before choosing. The scones were excellent: two smaller ones per order, served warm, perfectly balanced between flaky and soft. Service was adequate but not memorable. Our young waitress helped adjust the sun umbrella, which we appreciated, but she wasn’t particularly attentive or warm. That said, she wasn’t rude either — just somewhat indifferent. Payment is handled at the reception desk, which was a bit unexpected for afternoon tea. The Grounds were beautiful. We sat outside under the umbrella on a perfectly kept lawn, and it was truly the highlight of the experience. On a nice day, outdoor seating is highly recommended. The indoor area looked cozy and elegant, but the best tables are definitely outside. Overall: A lovely spot for cream tea with excellent scones and a gorgeous garden setting. Service could be more polished, but the ambiance makes it worth a visit. Confidence on my rating: - low. Have only been once and only had the cream tea.

Overpriced for what it is, don't go if you need strong wifi as data signal is very weak and wifi is very slow, and there is no AC in the room so don't go in the hot season otherwise. The restaurant breakfast was the same every day, no buffet, sometimes they run out of ingredients so have to make do with less (happened twice to us). Staff are friendly and want to be helpful.

Very kind staff. My wife and I visited (as tourists) for afternoon tea with our 6 month old baby. She doesn’t cry, but does babble loudly and they were all very nice and attentive. Not all the guests there were as kind, but the manor staff were great. One woman even came out to meet our baby. Grounds inside and out are immaculate and the tea was quite good

So they have some very loud extractor machine for their fireplaces that creates a low frequency engine noise in the rooms. We stayed at a room where this noise was coming through all the time from 10am to 10pm. It is not what you expected for £400 a night when you came to spend a calm weekend in the countryside. Also the room did not have a shower handle. It had a bathtub and a power shower, but nothing else. If you do not plan to wet your hair but would like to take hygiene showers twice a day - there's no such option available. I think this room that we were given needs either to be sold for a price of a 2 start hotel, or be decommissioned. Giving people a room that the hotel perfectly knows has a constant noise pollution and doesn't have a shower - I don't know why hotel management finds it acceptable. Btw, we asked for the room to be changed and were told they were fully booked. What it concerns breakfast, the only bread they had to serve was the sliced toast bread (those horrible triangles yes). When I asked for a piece of traditional sourdough they told me it will take them 15min(!) to make one. Breakfast is extremely disappointing. You can see a pic of their "croissant" which is an insult to a most basic French pastry shop. And my poached egg appears hard boiled to me personally. Dinner was good.

A really nice coffee shop combined with a craft shop with a nice and different feel (in a good way). There is an extensive menu as well as daily specials. While I did not try any as I was after lunch, there appears to be a really interesting range of afternoon tea options. The staff were really nice and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. I visited Jelly Pickle Jam recently with my partner's sister for her birthday and I had a lovely experience. I'm coeliac and the waiting staff ensured that we had a gluten free afternoon tea, which was lovely. The waitress who served us and the owner were welcoming and friendly. It was worth the travel from Wolverhampton for a day out and something to eat in a safe place for me. The decor was quirky and interesting throughout the venue and there were lots of little treats to buy if yiu fancied something more.

Lovely hotel, horrible customer service We stayed here last year and loved it so much that I regularly pop in for coffee or lunch on Saturdays when my daughter is horse riding nearby. My husband booked lunch last Saturday in the bar but we had to postpone as he was unwell. They refused to allow us move the booking out by 1 week and charged us £50 cancellation fee, for a bar lunch booking, not an afternoon tea cancellation which I could understand but a bar menu???? Not a nice way to treat your regular customers. We pleaded with them to postpone the booking by 1 week but they wouldn't budge. So we won't be back. Ever again.

The Broadway Hotel is a charming historic establishment located in the heart of Broadway, offering 19 individually-designed bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The hotel's half timber-framed and Cotswold-stone building dates back to the 16th Century and exudes quintessential English charm with its diamond window panes, wisteria-covered exterior, and ancient oak beams. The rooms are uniquely decorated with original features on display, while the brasserie downstairs serves a contemporary British menu.
Called into The Broadway a couple of times just for drinks while staying in the village. Nice surroundings with a good choice of drinks and friendly staff, nice and cosy on one occasion in the Sitting Room with the log burner roaring. The other occasion we sat on the outdoor terrace watching the world go by. We didn't have any food but it looked great, wish we had taken advantage of the steak night now.

Stopped here for lunch during the week with my wife and ordered a starter and main course for the two of us. I wax told by a somewhat standoffish waiter that the food would all be served at the same time , starter and main course together. When I questioned this i was told that’s how the kitchen operates and end of discussion. As we were having a salad for main course k let the matter go, presumably if I had ordered a hot course most likely it would have been cold or just warm and unacceptable. I would have been within my rights to send it back to the kitchen . They seem to be providing a service convenient for the kitchen rather than the customer, unlikely to return .

Let's start by saying I have great affection for this place. We had our wedding reception here and we've been numerous times over the years. On Sunday we went for a hike up to Broadway Tower and then came down and fancied a bite to eat. It was around 1.00pm, there were many empty seats in the dining room, plenty of seats outside, and even in the bar. I asked if we could place a food order and have some drinks. The man behind the bar said ' we are not serving walk-ins'. No apology, no reason, Indeed he said this quite gleefully. He seemed happy that we would just walk straight out again. I see similar reviews on various sites recently and wonder if this is a rogue member of staff or someone implementing a policy. Either way the result is the same. We went elsewhere and will do so again in the future.

Am here on a short break and am so pleased I chose to stay at the Broadway Hotel. The staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is immaculately clean as is my room. Tea, coffee facilities are all of top quality in my room along with delicious biscuits and glass bottled water. Breakfast is cooked to perfection and every item of the best quality. I highly recommend this interesting hotel, which is right on Broadway’s beautiful High Street. I only wish I was staying longer

Just arrived home after our short break The Broadway Hotel was everything we’d hoped , located in a stunning setting, our room (Desert Orchid) was perfect overlooking the beautiful gardens the hotel is well laid out with rooms away from bar and restaurant areas, our meal was fantastic as were the staff that looked after us especially Danielle (attentive professional) a real asset , our breakfast equally as nice freshly prepared and piping hot. Ladies on reception warm and friendly and nothing is a problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely be back . Good work guys 👏🏻

Starting with the location. This is fab for Broadway, situated opposite the Swan pub. It has a private car park and barrier access for overnight residents only. The spaces are tight so be aware of very large cars . Lots of outside sitting areas for drinks and food in the summer. Inside the bar is great with complimentary WiFi and plenty of seating - large open fires give a rustic feel for the place Reception is staffed and the main front door locked after a certain time for overnight guests and a key is provided Rooms are functional and have all you need including kettle - nespresso- safe - water and tea coffee. Bathroom had a full bath with shower and molton brown toiletries- bath robe would have been nice but not available Breakfasts were good and the staff there very helpful - lots of choice from standard full breakfast to cereal croissants etc We enjoyed the stay and the location

My friend and I dropped in to the Broadway Hotel for a drink on our first night of two in the area. Really liked the atmosphere and so we booked a table for the following night. Conor seated us and gave us flawless service all night. He and all of his colleagues were smart, friendly and relaxed, making for a really enjoyable night all round. Thank you!

We went for afternoon tea. The drinks were great and the setting was perfect. But give yourself plenty of time because the service was very slow indeed, though fine when it eventually happened. But if you are in no hurry it's a great place to sit and relax

Churchfields Farm in Droitwich is a perfect destination for families and ice cream enthusiasts. The farm offers an exciting ice cream maze, locally sourced food at the restored barn cafe, and beautiful countryside walks. Known for its wide variety of delicious ice cream flavors, Churchfields also hosts family events like the enchanting fairy trail. Visitors can enjoy hot drinks and delectable cakes at the charming cafe while children have a blast exploring the maize maze.
Wonderful little farm, particularly targeting toddlers for toddler time, which our 16 month old absolutely loved!! Great range of animals to see, and activities for them to enjoy! ‘Bubbles party’ and sitting up on the tractor and milk float were a hit too!
Matt R — Google review
A good place for families to visit, the playground is shaped like a tractor and great for kids, there is also a small soft play for under 5s. I was expecting the area where they keep the animals to see to be bigger, it's not much bigger than a standard field with mid sized pens for the goats, cows and sheep. There is a fairy trail and a few peddle for carts for older kids. There is nothing wrong with the place, everything there was very good - but for the ticket price I was just expecting a bit more and left feeling a little disappointed at the size of the place. Maybe I would have felt better if we'd manage to to the walking trail to salwarpe but as this appears to be mainly on public footpaths I could do this anytime without having to pay for entry

Wonderful day out! I will say the place is very hilly so if you're someone with mobility issues this is something to take into consideration. It's also a cashless venue. If you're just visiting for ice cream there is a lovely little playground out front with some benches. Inside, the cafe is a good size with a small soft play area for under 3s. The food and drink was decent, touristy prices of course. On our visit they had a bubble area set up which the kids loved! The main playground is just lovely with lots for the kids to play on, there's a big zip line off to one side and 2 bouncy pillows to the other. By the entrance there is an area of ride ons for smaller children. If you head past the zip line you'll find a space hopper race track, haybale climbing and go kart area. There is also a fairy themed walk and of course farm animals. For an extra £2 each you can tractor ride round to :gnmmnm0?..see

Spent a day here last week with my home education community. Beautiful farm with lots of activities. Icecream and salt workshop was fantastic
Courtney M — Google review
Not many animals, the animals didn’t seem well cared for, with just a empty fenced field with a water bowl and one hut, no enrichment, highland cows were matted and the sheep looked so overheated as seems they missed a shear. The chickens enclosure was a small shed and too hot. Mainly just play equipment for kids and ice cream

Went to ChurchFields as part of a school trip, we were thoroughly impressed with everyone there, great facilities perfect for the children and great fun! Would highly recommend coming here as a school trip, or just with your family.

My first question when I take my family anywhere that's ticketed is 'what are we paying for?'. Whether it's a unique experience, animal encounters, or even large spaces to explore, I hate paying for something I can do for free down the road. We live less than 2 minutes away, and Churchfields has it's positives as a free place to visit, the cafe is great and the ground are kept nice. However that's about as much as I can say about that part. When it comes to the 'farmpark', all I can use to describe it is dissapointing. What we paid to do amounts to a play area and few goats/donkeys/sheep. There are no animals to pet to get up close to, no indoor or barn areas to play, no staff around to ensure people are having a good time, and it's all set on a super steep incline and many older or less abled would not even be able to cope with. There are a few places in the area that are FREE that offer way more to do than Churchfields. By a long shot. At the end of the day we would have had more fun at the local park and been nearly £30 better off. I feel like we've wasted our Saturday, my kid was bored and asking what else there was to do. Yes there is what they call a fairy trail, but we have done it several times and it never changes, she's bored of it. It feels like they put all their budget into the new play area and thought that was enough to charge people, but it's just not. I would have even given points for food, but it's so over expensive we didn't bother. I think Churchfields owners want to put as little into the customer experience for as much profit as possible and it shows. I feel scammed.

My first visit to your farm with my 4 year old grandson. What a find. Feeding the lovely animals was a delight. The play areas are amazing. The maize maze was just fab …. Thank goodness for a map… I’m glad I had a pen to track our routes… surprisingly disorienting… maybe the loan of a pencil at start would be a good idea Lunch was perfect. Kids lunch bag ideal All staff were delightful attentive and very smiley and engaged beautifully with my grandson who is a little shy ! What a find. We’ll be back. Well done to the whole team

Eckington Manor is a meticulously restored Tudor farmhouse, bed and breakfast, and culinary school set on a secluded 260-acre working farm in Worcestershire. The majority of the food served at this award-winning manor comes directly from its own farm, offering guests an imaginative menu featuring the freshest ingredients. The accommodations are located within four converted farm buildings that seamlessly blend charming old features with modern design.
Delicious afternoon tea. Very good value. It wasn't clear where to go in. We thought it would be the half timbered building but it was actually in the barn conversion. The signage needs improvement - we nearly walked in to somebody's home! We will definitely go again.

As with our stay three years ago, the hotel was immaculate and quiet, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. They even went to the trouble of ensuring that we had the same fantastic rooms as last time. Dinner was excellent. And Eckington itself was bursting with roses, honeysuckle and bird-song.

What an incredible visit to the Manor today. A special Birthday lunch for my mum, motivated by Professional Master Chef Winner Mark Stinchcombe's fantastic cuisine artistry. And we were not disappointed. Mark's menu creation and delivery were outstanding and the team looked after us so well. The food was Michelin standard for sure. In the gorgeous village of Eckington a visit here for lunch, dinner, an overnight stay or a cookery class will reward you with full bellies and joyful hearts. Thank you to you all.

Ensure that you request a room with a window. We stayed at the Cyder Mill, which we booked in April and visited in July. We were told that, as we were last to arrive, we had been given a room with no windows. It was 28 degrees in the room, and as my husband commented, it was the prettiest hellhole he had ever stayed in. There was a fan in the room, which did not help. We were pleased that we only booked one night. The food was OK.

Oh my goodness!!!! Wow, wow, wow On a business trip and needed a room for the night and stumbled onto EcKINGton Manor! Friendly professional welcome into a beautifully appointed room with hand painted and embroidered wallpaper. Then could not believe our luck to have a Tasting Menu and Wine Pairing. Frankly it's just one of my best meals ever ( sorry I have a few) the food was exceptional and I can add the best meal i have had in years. THANK YOU SO MUCH

Very beautiful historic Manor house set amongst the South Downs and in lovely grounds. In easy driving distance of Glynebourne Opera. This accommodation is only offered during the Opera season Excellent service by the owner, catering for individual tastes and requirements. Highly recommended.

Stayed one night with an evening meal. The accommodation was fine but the food was not. My wife had fish main course, the seafood sauce was so strong that she couldn’t taste the food and left most of it. I had pork belly which was tasteless as were the potatoes. The wine we had was overpriced and mediocre.

Their breakfast menu features an array of hearty options, including sweet-cured streaky bacon, Worcestershire sausage, and perfectly cooked chicken eggs served alongside baked beans and hash browns. Guests can enjoy their meal with bottomless Teapigs tea or filter coffee, with an option to upgrade to frothy coffee for just a little extra.
Booked a table for 9am for 5 of us travelling up from JollyBikeShop in Devon. Lovely friendly staff and freshly cooked breakfast. Clean and tidy and well worth the visit..

I had high hopes for this place. Firstly the positives; the club sandwich was delicious, they had a wonderful selection of tea to choose from, the cheesecake was yummy, friendly staff, the cream tea looked picture perfect and the atmosphere was lovely. Negatives; someone had booked us in for the wrong day (thankfully they had a table spare), there were dead crane flies all along the windowsills, the scones weren't the best (they were warm but felt doughy and undercooked so they wouldn't break apart like good quality scones do) and the jam was disappointing (I expected more of a conserve but it tasted like a overly sweet jam which made finishing the scones Impossible.) With the cream tea, I was served two small scones. One decently baked scone would have been better. It's a cute tearoom with lots of parking but it lacks the charm of a tearoom. If you're looking for fancy teapots and pretty china cups to complete the real afternoon tea experience then this isn't the place for you.
Tracy F — Google review
Went for afternoon tea with my daughter and friend as part of birthday celebrations. The positive; Lovely assortment of teas which when offered a refill we could change flavours. Delicious quiche. Sandwich bread nice (although fillings were a little basic and 4 small quarters only) Friendly waiter. Nice meringue and blondie The Negatives The scones. They were dreadful. Had obviously been in the freezer, reheated leaving them dry, virtually like a biscuit. They were also tiny and honestly either one bigger one, or two of that size would be better. Could have done with a bit more cream and the jam tasted like Tesco basic rather than locally made. The salted caramel cheesecake, none of us ate it as it was unpleasant. The panacotta was fine, but a weird choice for an afternoon tea, especially as there were several nice looking cakes on the counter. I would have said something as we left, but as we had to prepay there was absolutely nobody around to speak to on the way out. All in all felt a bit disappointed. It definitely looked nicer than it tasted as you can see from the pics

Visited today for lunch with my Mum. The cafe is in a lovely, countryside location and is cosy inside. They offer table service. I had earl grey tea which is a loose leaf tea and full of flavour followed by the bacon, brie and cranberry baguette. The portion size was great, delicious food and excellent value for money.

I had sausage egg and chips. Sausages and chips were very nice. Two others had a jacket potato with bacon and brie. Again they enjoyed their meal. Atmosphere was good. Service was good. Price per person with one drink each about £13.

Had this been our first visit to The Twisted Spoon, we likely would have been quite happy with our breakfast. However, as returning customers who've enjoyed breakfast here on and off for a few years, we couldn't help but notice some changes that took away from what used to be a standout experience. A minor gripe to start: you used to include unlimited tea or coffee with breakfast, and there was a nice option to upgrade to a frothy coffee for a small fee; great value and a real draw. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. While we understand the pressures of rising costs and the challenges facing small businesses, it’s still a bit disappointing to now have to purchase tea or coffee separately. The main letdown, though, was the sausages. The bacon remains excellent, but the sausages have clearly changed; they've gone from delicious, butcher-quality to something that looks and tastes overly processed. It’s a real shame, as this change really brings down the overall quality of the breakfast. We'd love to see you bring back the original sausages! One more thing sauce sachets are annoying. They're wasteful, hard to open, and not very user-friendly. A shift to bottles or refillable options would be much appreciated. That said, the service remains top-notch. The staff are friendly, attentive, and professional, which we really appreciated. These comments come from a place of past admiration; we’ve seen how good it can be here. We'd love to see The Twisted Spoon return to the high standard we remember, especially when it comes to the little touches and those all-important sausages!

Lovely welcome , food wasn't the best ! Fry up swimming in grease. The steak sandwich was not pleasant steak tasted cheap and not cooked properly. The place needs a good clean was very grubby ! And I know you can't help it but the wasp infestation made it unpleasant inside and out ! Very bizarre set up as its a pub and tearoom , I think doing one or the other would make more sense and do it really well . They do cater for gluten free but limited choice .

Guests can enjoy a selection of cask ales and gins while soaking up the pleasant riverside views from the beer garden.
A really lovely traditional inn with a modern feel. Very well presented, the decor is sympathetic to the age of the building. A good range of bar snacks and drinks on offer and a decent food menu. We opted for the beef stew with a buttered roll and we were so glad that we did. The food was hot, delicious, perfectly seasoned and very welcoming on a breezy February afternoon. We liked that it's dog friendly here, and we will definitely be coming back.

Lovely pub, good beer if a little exspensive but very nice to sit outside in the summer. Edit...dropped my rating as went back the weekend as wanted a coffee...paid 3.50 and got awful coffee in a paper cup...asked the manager that for the price could I at least have it in a mug or cup...he gave us cups to pour it into but had literally less than 1/2 a cup of coffee served...happy to pay premium for coffee but expect premium quality and service...definitely room for improvement.big mark up on coffee so no need to be tight

First time visiting. Lovely place to visit. Small business selling hand made jewellery, pottery, glass works, chocolates, beers, paintings and lots more. There's also a cafe selling hot and cold food, cakes, drinks with seating inside and out. We sat out side and had a cream tea which was very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. Outside you can see animals and ducks in the pond. There are plenty of places to sit down or sit on the grass if you want to. You can also take a walk around the area outside, I'm sure I did see a sign saying 6 miles round walk if you like to walk. Dogs are welcome. Lots of parking spaces including disabled parking. All I can say is go and visit this lovely place.

This is a beautiful tranquil place... We went on Saturday, the sun was out and we took a ride out to Bromsgrove. This place has A selection of artisan boutiques along with huge grounds and a picturesque seating area around 2 Duck Ponds... There is a licenced bar and cafe We had some food and drinks... This was A little expensive to be fair £14 for 1 cup of tea, 1 cup of coffee and a single slice of Apple pie with a small scoop of ice cream... Free car park and entry made up a little towards this It was a really pleasant place to visit and take kids to feed the ducks... They are quite tame and enjoy the seed bags you can buy for 50p There is a place to buy flowers that looked really well priced "The plant girl" (shown in photos)... The artificial cats were really striking and the plants looked fresh and vibrant and had some good prices. The glass blowing shop was interesting to watch them heat and shape the glass, with lots of trinkets to buy... Again quite expensive on the face of it but unique items often are. The bakery shop (Dalish Bakes) had some amazing hand made cakes, Ali was an exceptionally skilled baker (photos) I will have to order the bouquet of flowers cupcakes for the next special occasion. They are registered for civil ceremonies here and the back drop would be ideal for our wedding... The tent was up and the tables laid out for a 50th birthday party and it all looked fantastic. It's a great way to spend a few hours grab some food and fresh air... For walkers there is a 6 mile route around the estate and dogs are welcome. There are also horses and cows in the fields next to the duck ponds. Great place for fresh air and walking with the children.

I hadn't visited the Jinny Ring for a few years but decided to meet my family there this week for a look round and a visit to the cafe. I have to say the whole craft centre looked very run down. The main shop which used to be a welcoming outlet with some lovely gifts is now a cold, run down mix of over priced pictures, cards, and second hand clothes, (that many had seen better days). We then decided to visit the cafe where the prices were extortionate, we ordered two coffees, a pint of beer and one slice of cake the total was £18, my coffee was cold and the cake ( which wasn't even homemade for £4.50 a slice)was dry. There were no hot food options until midday and to be honest £17 for fish and chips I wouldn't of paid anyway. We sat outside as the sun was shinning enjoying the view and the pond but then we noticed a nice big sign on the table asking us to clear the tables ourselves!!! I won't be returning here, extremely disappointed.

The craft shops are wonderful. For the first time in my life I wanted a tiara, they were so beautiful! Watching the glass blowing was amazing and my grandchildren loved the escape room. Then we enjoyed the best Sunday dinner. There's also a lovely garden area to sit or walk around. We will be back.

I had a lovely time this afternoon. Mom and I went to the restaurant/cafe. The food was lovely, and the staff were very helpful. I had a cake to go, with I had at home with a nice cup of tea. My mother and I also bought some very nice chocolates from the on-site chocolate tear. I also enjoy seeing all glass objects at the glass blowing shop, the ceramics at the pottery shop, and some inspiration art in the art and craft shop. All in all, it was a very enjoyable afternoon.

On arrival we were directed into a cold marquee, told to order via an app that we had to download....tried but failed. On the end we ordered at the counter 2 bacon breakfast sandwiches on granary which arrived on what appeared to be a pasty, unidentifiable type of bread that clearly wasn't granary. In fairness, the waitress said we could change the bread but we though we wouldn't cause a fuss and said leave it as it is. What a mistake. It was like yesterday's loaf with a tough crust and doughy texture with lashings of cheap margarine that over powered the taste of the sandwich, and greasy, tasteless fatty bacon....needless to say, we won't be returning.

Waited around 45 mins for lunch when i visited today with my Mum. The chef apologised for his lack of experience cooking quiche - but it was delicious! Everything was freshly cooked and salad freshly chopped. Mums fish and chips were lovely and we were allowed to 'takeaway' what she couldn't manage. Staff a bit slow on offering extra drinks which i would gladly have purchased on such a hot day - but i bought extra quiche for mum to take home and a chocolate orange brownie and apricot flapjack which were very moreish. Altogether a very pleasant lunch - we will be back ( knocked off one star as i was thirsty - and staff not as attentive as we hoped)

We'll definitely be going back to try out some other items off the menu!

Lovely cafe with friendly welcoming staff. Well stocked with a large range of cakes and hot or cold drinks. Breakfast and lunch menus both looked delicious and if in the area again will definitely return to give them a go.

Popped in yesterday for a coffee after walking the dog. Lovely friendly staff and great coffee. My partner had a sausage roll which he said was really good. The sweet treats looked amazing but I was didn't try on this occasion but will definitely return!

Have been coming to The Potted Pantry for a while for a lovely breakfast or lunch. There are social distancing measures in currently and one from your party must fill in track and trace details as is normal now. Staff are friendly and polite and service is quite quick. I'd recommend it.

Nestled in the heart of 23 acres of stunning grounds, Stourport Manor Hotel is a charming Victorian redbrick country house that seamlessly blends classic elegance with modern comforts. Guests can enjoy spacious accommodations, including family-friendly rooms, and unwind in the inviting lounge or bar area. The brasserie restaurant serves up delicious meals, complemented by an impressive beer selection that caters to all tastes.
We were in a large family party for a wedding which was not at the Stourport Manor. It was chosen for it's location, grounds and somewhere we could all meet up and spend time together. Only two negatives really. The room was very warm, no air conditioning, just a fan, but it was no less than we expected in a hotel of this age. Also there was no lift which was a bit of a struggle for those of us a little older. There is a disabled lift, but was not sure it was working. Positives. Large bed, clean room, soft towels, tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast good and plentiful, clean dining room. We pre booked meals for about 30 of us on the Friday night. You could have two or three courses. The food was very good indeed, hot and the service good. Those that used the pool facilities said it was small but fine also the hot tub. Lots of space outside for children to run around and for adults to sit. Our room had no view but we weren't there for that. Reception staff friendly. All in all a good experience and I would recommend good for the price. Don't expect a palace but good enough for us.

I had made a reservation for a meal tonight for 4 people at 6pm for my son's birthday through a Groupon voucher. After a 30 minute car journey to get there we arrived on time , only to be told that there was no reservation on the system for me . Apparently all Groupon bookings have been cancelled, but no one had bothered to inform me of this ..... I had even rang your hotel on 29th September at 08.45 and spoken to a gentleman on reception to make sure my booking was definitely confirmed, and was assured it was . We were all very disappointed and to be honest the receptionist was not extremely helpful and the only person to apologise was the lady that was training with him . I don't know why all Groupon bookings had been cancelled, but more communication and better customer service in the future would be beneficial to customers and your hotels reputation.

Hotel staff are lovely, the dog gift and bowls was a really nice touch. Unfortunately the food and drink are very over priced, and the place is old and tired. The room was nice but need abit more attention when being cleaned. Even with the downfalls we would return as it was perfect for the dog.

Where do I start. Awful experience. The hotel is woefully understaffed, with the few left doing their best. Over an hour to get starters and then an hour for mains. No food or drinks available in the afternoon. Breakfast was below average. Glasses were dirty, whole hotel was grubby. Had to pay to use the pool. Event on the Friday night got out of hand and they didn't have the staff to manage it, resulting in 10 police turning up. No apology or acknowledgement from management, a delightful experience for my father's 80th celebration!

We came here for afternoon tea using a Groupon voucher. They couldn’t accommodate our first date as they said they were overwhelmed so we had a 2 month wait. On the date of our afternoon tea we arrived and waited to be greeted at the desk. After using the hotel phone we went to find someone to ask about our booking. We were told there was a wedding and someone would be with us shortly. After about 5 minutes a member of staff came and told us that they had tried to contact us as there was a problem and could we come back at 2.30 ? We had our granddaughter with us who needed feeding. We said we would wait as there was nowhere really to ho. My sister asked if we could have complimentary drinks while we waited. We received them shortly after. At 2.30 we asked a member of staff how much longer. We were told not long. At 3pm we were finally greeted and taken to a conservatory area with some other diners who had also been waiting since 1pm. Although the room was pleasant we looked out on to a scruffy seating area and the windowsills had dead flies on there. On a positive note the food was freshly made and the staff were attentive. With some attention to cleanliness and better communication I would have given it a 4.

Save your money and go elsewhere. Staff don't have a clue, food was very poor quality and tasteless. Limited staff working and bar prices are a joke. The place from the outside looks nice, but the inside needs updating, public toilets were bad, had to dry my hands on my trousers as the dryer didn't work. Urine all over the floor so obviously not monitored, you are then walking urine back into the venue!!! Basically, all the reviews on here seam to be correct, they cannot cater for large events, understaffed and overpriced. Would not recommend to anyone to be honest, don't be let down by this establishment.

Purchased a Groupon afternoon tea for my moms birthday but when trying to book in have been told all vouchers have been cancelled by management and they can’t help - directed to Groupon for a refund. Really disappointed in the customer service experience and will not book anything at this venue in the future!
Craig B — Google review
Absolutely awful. Was there for a friends wedding. We booked a room which all of the wedding party were charged incorrectly for. Each person had a different price when some had the same rooms. Rooms were adequate. Ours were clean but some of the party had extremely dirty rooms. As a wedding venue it is terrible. Doesn’t look good. Jobs not completed and very dirty with a bad damp smell through the whole building. Service for the dining part of the reception was extremely slow delaying the whole reception of the wedding. Staff were extremely rude especially the man manning reception. Wearing a blue tie with glasses. His attitude stank and didn’t want to help in any way shape or form. The hotel itself is understaffed and not very well managed. Bride and groom were promised a chat with the GM who’s as nowhere to be seen. Although food was good, there wasn’t enough of it. Drinks were extremely expensive, and once again we were charged differently each time we went to the bar for the same drinks. Breakfast was very good on the other hand. Hot and fresh and very good quality. For £130 for a room for one night, we were still charged to use the facilities on sight. I.e pool and steam rooms. Facilities in the hotel were not good at all. No toilet facilities downstairs by pool. And general hygiene was not good at all. Overall I would not recommend stourport manor to get married at or to stay/dine. There are much better places for much cheaper. DO NOT GO. If the hotel can be bothered to read this review then please take note and shut the doors and rethink your business plan. Not good at all.

Decided to pop in today for a drink and some Food with my daughter, amazing food, latte and hot chocolate were made to perfection. The staff are all friendly and polite and always smiling. Would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and will definitely be coming back.

I wasn't going to leave a review but now feel I will after I sent a complaint email and haven't had a response. I visted the team rooms on Saturday with my friend and we had the terrible experience. We ordered when we arrived hot chocolate and toasties. Service wasn't the best and my hot chocolate arrived in a broken mug (chipped on the base) I cut my finger on the chipped edge. Not wanting to make a fuss, I didn't say anything. We waited for our food but it didn't arrive. We had finished our drinks and some 25 minutes later we were still waiting for our food. A lady who had been waiting since we arrived hadn't had her food either. She was a diabetic and would have left but needed to eat. I asked for the bill paid for the drinks only and left. The biggest issue for me was the atmosphere caused by the staff in the cafe. I'm unsure who the manager was or who the owner is, but I was shocked by the behaviour of the older staff present. One lady in particular was foul. Shouting from the back of the shop to the front of the shop to the staff over our heads. She was you rude and had no respect for the customers. At one point she was clicking her fingers at the staff. Totally shocked by this ladies behaviour. We came in for a chat and the tension caused by this lady was horrid. The noise levels caused by this lady were shocking. She was dragging a table along the floor behind me and talking really loudly on her mobile phone.

Very clean, lovely staff who were very considerate as I am now Registered Blind. The cheese & tomato omelette was lovely as was the hot chocolate with whipped cream & marshmallows (sometimes you have to have an indulgent treat). The toilet was clean too. I highly recommend them - the best cafe in Bromsgrove.

So glad I had seen this place on Facebook and decided to visit. Gluten free options for sarnies are good. I decided on hot chocolate and a jacket potato with cheese and beans and it was fabulous. A perfectly cooked potato inside and out! The hot chocolate was so delicious I went back the next day for another and it was lovely to be recognised from the day before - great customer service :) Look forward to trying more there 💕

Dormy House is a charming 39-room hotel located just outside Broadway village, offering a cozy and convivial atmosphere. The rooms feature clean-lined Scandi-style interiors with nods to the hotel's 17th-century farmhouse roots. Guests can enjoy locally sourced cuisine in the elegant Garden Room, which boasts large windows and a beautiful fabric-covered ceiling. The hotel's state-of-the-art spa has won numerous awards and is perfect for pampering weekends away.
If you’re looking for a UK mini-moon, Dormy House is the place to be. We booked their House Hideaway package in an intimate room, as we thought this would give us everything we need to relax after the stress of wedding planning! To our surprise and delight, on arrival we were upgraded to a suite, which was completely unexpected. On top of this, there was also complementary champagne, chocolate, and rose petals scattered about the room, along with a note wishing us well. This really made our day! And it felt SO special. The food and drink was also incredible throughout. The massage was probably the best we’ve had, and the spa experience was really relaxing. The snow room is a must-see! The hotel has been very well designed. I commented that it seemed as if each corner had been considered specifically for a wow factor, but also for guest comfort. Thank you again for such a gorgeous stay. We will be returning!!

What a wonderful relaxing stay at Dormy House hotel! The staff throughout are fabulous and nothing is too much trouble. A wonderful welcome from Amy on the front desk and then a blissful couple of hours spent in the spa. The food was delicious and there are so many beautiful areas to sit inside and outside and take in the atmosphere. Our room was a splendid room and it was comfortable and extremely well equipped. They have thought of everything. Lots of beautiful additional touches as well such as the complementary toiletries and a little sweet treat to celebrate our anniversary. It felt like a luxurious stay, without the pretentiousness of some hotels. You were encouraged to relax. One night was not enough! We will be back.

We absolutely loved our stay at Dormy House. From the moment you walk in you feel at home and relaxed. The rooms and decor are beautiful with a modern country vibe and have everything you need. The food at both the shed and back garden was delicious! Especially the cream tea. The spa and pool has a really nice relaxed feel. We had a couple of spa treatments and all of the therapists were very professional. We definitely would like to come back again, it felt like a proper escape!

We stayed at Dormy House for five nights in Studio 42, and it was a wonderful experience overall. The Room: Studio 42 was spacious, beautifully designed, and full of thoughtful touches — from the full drum kit and vinyl player to the sound system in every room. It even had two toilets, which was surprisingly convenient. The bathroom featured a modern setup with both rain and handheld shower heads, excellent water pressure, and precise temperature control. Everything about the room felt carefully considered and of high quality. Complimentary snacks and drinks were provided, the room was spotless, and the cleaning staff were consistently warm and friendly. The Service: Service throughout our stay was fantastic. While the team seemed small — often just one or two receptionists — they were exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. They assisted with dinner reservations and even offered complimentary rides within the property. The Food: Breakfast was classic English fare, served in a lovely setting with attentive and cheerful staff. The Spa: Though on the smaller side, the spa is very well equipped — featuring a steam room, sauna, warm and tropical showers, and even a snow machine! It’s compact but thoughtfully designed and never felt overcrowded. The Grounds: Beautifully maintained, with complimentary electric vehicle parking available. Minor Notes: There’s no elevator, and we arrived with heavy suitcases that had to be carried up the stairs. There weren’t any male staff around at the time, so I felt a bit bad watching the female staff struggle to help us with the luggage — but they were gracious and insisted nonetheless.

My husband and I stayed here for our first anniversary and it was absolutely perfect. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful surprise of champagne in our room, everything felt so special. The whole spa experience was fantastic, especially the unique Snow Rain and Forest Shower, topping it of with the Dormy Head Spa Treatment and afterwards a Smoked Salmon and Cream Tea at The Greenhouse. We really Dinner at The Back Garden was another highlight – the atmosphere was lovely, the staff attentive, and the food super tasty (the pork terrine was delicious). The location was easy to find, though we wished there had been easier access to walk around the estate. Overall, every detail made us feel cared for, and we left feeling completely relaxed. We’d love to come back again!

Me and my girlfriend stayed there recently for her 30th birthday, the staff were great and made our stay extra special. It was quiet but we both needed that! The food was amazing and there were lots of things for a gluten free/vegetarian person. The only thing we were a little disappointed with, was not being able to use the spa for longer than 11am the following morning.

Myself and my partner visited this hotel and we enjoyed every moment spent there. I cannot recommend this place enough everything was spectacular. The service and staff were exceptional. The decor and environment were to the highest of standards and cleanliness. The addition of lovely little further touches were greatly received. Families can take advantage of the expansive gardens while enjoying food served from midday on weekdays and from early morning on weekends. I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Bank House Hotel, and I must say, the staff are truly a credit to the establishment. From the moment we arrived, the receptionist with red hair was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate any requests we had. Her warm demeanor made us feel right at home. The lady at the spa, who had blonde hair, was also very welcoming and added to our relaxing experience. Additionally, the gentleman in the sports bar with long dark hair was exceptionally polite and accommodating, making our time there enjoyable. We were also impressed with the breakfast, which was well-stocked at all times and absolutely delicious. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and were very impressed with the service. Thank you!

Really nice hotel, plenty of parking. Helpful and friendly staff. Just outside Worcester. Decent sized room with all of the amenities. A great spa is attached and can be used by hotel guests. Very nice breakfast. Not a five star on this occasion as there were problems with the hot water that weren't addressed. We also booked 1 double and 1 twin but were given 2 doubles.

The service at Bank House was above the four star level. Nicole on reception went above and beyond to look after us. The staff in the restaurant were incredibly helpful and friendly too. The rooms vary- some have better beds than others, but all of them are clean. The spa facilities are really nice, and the pool has designated hours for children so you can use or avoid as necessary. The food in the restaurant is stellar - far above expectations that the site might suggest, and dinner is accompanied by a wonderful live pianist - I regret not having cash with me to tip as he was incredibly welcoming and set the mood perfectly. In all a fantastic stay, convenient to Worcester and a wonderful family stop over.

My bridal party and I stayed here for my wedding. My goodness the staff were fantastic!!! So lovely, kind, happy for us! We didn't get married at this hotel but nevertheless they treated us like we did. Such good communication too via email (because I mucked up my bookings!) they were fantastic. Breakfast was also wonderful and fresh. The bar late night let us stay up and just simmer down after a long big day. Honestly, I cannot fault the place whatsoever. The penthouse room is absolutely amazing. Thank you to all the staff who made our magical day even more wonderful. Amy (stayed 3rd/4th July 2025)

All the hotel looks very clean and very well looked after. We had dinner and breakfast there and the quality was really good. The Restaurant was very welcoming and the service was really profesional. We will highly recommend the whole experience to everyone, specially tired mums to send the Dad to play to the swimming pool while we sunbed. Hopefully we will be back soon!

Just returned from a wonderful 1 night stay. Everything was perfect. Our room was amazing, we booked a Spa Suite, it was huge, perfectly clean and the amenities were lovely. Temple Spa toiletries and a Nespresso coffee machine especially stood out. We had a very relaxing time in the thermal suite and around the pool. The Sportsman's Bar is a lovely space, we had drinks here before and after dinner. Great selection of drinks at very good prices. I had an excellent Espresso Martini for just £9! Dinner in the restaurant was perfect, the food was incredible and the staff very friendly and attentive. The grounds of the hotel are so beautiful and well kept. We really enjoyed our stay, we only wish it had been for longer but we will definitely be back.

Overall the hotel is acceptable, clean and friendly staff, evening meal and afternoon in the restaurant was very good. The mattress is appalling, old spring Mattress and sinks completely when sat on, needs changing immediately. Breakfast was very bland. No plugs next to the bed! There’s little security, can walk all The way to the rooms without using a key card. Walls also a little thin. Old style hotel, good if you like that.
Maria ( — Google review
Stayed here for a business trip for one night only. The building is absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. The rooms are very large and also kept clean and fresh with a large selection of tea, coffee and fresh milk. (NO PLUGS IN REACH OF THE BED HOWEVER... AND THE LIGHT SWITCHES FOR THE LAMPS BESIDE THE BED AREN'T WITHIN REACH!) So you have to get out of bed to turn the lamps off. Absolutely beautiful spa and pool which smelt lovely with all the essentials oils lingering in the air. Very clean changing rooms and spa reception. My only reason for giving 4 stars and not 5 is the evening meal was at a Wetherspoons standard. There was a large bus party that were staying at the hotel and they seemed to throw the flow off course by having the staffs full attention. 3 members of our party had their starters completely forgotten about. 4 of our party ordered the steak. It was bone dry, stone cold, thinly cut and far too over cooked and our chips were also absolutely rock hard and COLD. For £36 a steak I would expect a lot more. As I said it was more of a pub restaurant standard and it's a shame. The waitress serving us was so apologetic and professional and offered us or anyone in our party who was unhappy an immediate replacement but I don't like to waste food & ate it anyway. She was very sincere and couldnt do enough for us. She had blonde hair and knew the gentleman who was taking us out for a meal. Fortunately we weren't paying for our meals as it was a business trip but had it been a personal visit I'd have expected a refund. I think training or improvement needs to be made in future if there is a larger party in the restaurant to make sure the other tables are also presented with good quality food. The cocktails were very nice and presented nicely. Breakfast on the other hand was absolutely DELICIOUS! A large spread with hot bacon, thick sausages, 3 different eggs, pastries, fresh juice and yoghurt. Overall a great experience! We will be returning and would like to give the restaurant a second chance when we do as all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Not impressed with the sandwich fillings. Customer service was poor, they didn't check on us. They only had a limited selection of teas and you had to pay extra if you wanted more tea. Also, they couldn't accommodate a savoury tea for my husband who is diabetic. Considering the price, we were disappointed.
Helen W — Google review
When we arrived we wasnt sure where to go as online says its in the conservatory but was taken into the restaurant. The restaurant Staff then sat us and was nice, friendly and polite. Was given our chosen tea once we was seated and the girls given there milkshakes which they loved. I later asked for another tea which we never received and I also asked for a jug of water at the same time which took a while to get but we never received anymore than 1 pot of tea each. Not sure if there is a limit of 1 each or if they just forgot. The kids afternoon tea is lovely and so cute for them both my girls really enjoyed it. The adults afternoon tea the sandwiches weren't anything special and started to go hard before wed finished. The scones were lovely and nice and warm which was perfect and the option to have lemon curd was lovely. The cake selection wasnt anything special and the chocolate type cake we received was very sickly. There wasnt much staff in the restaurant as was in and out so I waited ages to pay and asked at reception if I could pay there but unfortunately couldn't so had to continue waiting longer. Upon paying we didnt received the children's discount but when I mentioned it was quickly amended. While I was paying the lady also mentioned that aslong as done in advance at booking amendments can be made if only certain sandwiches or cakes are wanted. Overall would say it was ok but nothing special for the price.

The Abbey Hotel is an elegant and historic 4-star hotel located at the foot of the Malvern Hills in the Worcester countryside. The hotel offers polished rooms, some with hill views, and features outstanding original Victorian architecture dating back to the 1600s. It has a relaxed restaurant serving well-prepared food using local produce, providing guests with the highest levels of comfort.
We both enjoyed my birthday stay. I appreciated the birthday card in the room on arrival. My birthday afternoon tea was very good, the table was decorated for my birthday, and the food was very reasonably priced. The central location of the hotel was great for wandering around Malvern, or for walks/run up the hills. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff, even ordering a taxi for us. It is certainly on our list of places to revisit.

Beautiful hotel in the centre of Malvern, great location with everything you need in walking distance. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was firm and comfortable, we slept very well. Surprisingly no fridge in the room and no mini bar. The bathroom is rather long and narrow. I am a slim person but had to go slightly sideways to get to the shower. Staff were friendly and helpful, there is a bar and a restaurant but Malvern has so much to offer, we didn't spend much time there. Definitely a nice place to stay for a few nights.

I stayed for one night along with a couple of friends as we had tickets for a performance at the Malvern theatre. The hotel is in a great location as it has close proximity to the theatre and the town. The hotel room was spotlessly clean which was appreciated. The only criticism is the fact that the bed was made up with a thick warm duvet and as it was a warm evening it was just too hot for comfort. It would be so much better if bedding was provided to suit the temperature. This is a common problem with many hotels unfortunately. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and freshly cooked. It is completely self service for breakfast but it all ran smoothly. The hotel reception staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel has character and a nice vibe. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.

The Abbey is a beautiful setting. Inside is clean and pleasant. Some may say a little dated, but it felt in keeping with the property and didn’t detract. Efficient and friendly check in by Dennis. Lovely breakfast. Great location to explore Malvern. And great that parking is included too!

Thank you to all members of staff for making our stay truly wonderful. In particular, we would like to mention our functions and events managers and members of the team who went time after time the extra miles to make us feel at home and spoiled for choice. Would certainly recommend the venue for either a personal visit or as member of a larger group. Well done everyone, keep up the great work that you do.

Stayed for 2 nights as a couple. The staff were very friendly and helpful starting with the check-in and afterwards. The room was specious overlooking the valley and the priory, clean, and comfy; only one small drawback was that there was no air conditioning, but understandable as it’s an old and probably reserved building. The breakfast was nice—as you expect from a decent hotel. Overall vibe was cozy and peaceful, recommend!

The room was adequate size but hadn't been updated since the late 70s early 80s. Sheets and pillows similar including an ink stain. Most of the rooms are in a 1970s annex to the more inviting older building you see in the photos. Breakfast was included but had very little that was real food. A buffet with a low budget cooked buffet, and absolutely nothing for me (a vegan). I had a white slice of toast and marmalade and herbal tea due to lack of decaf coffee, wish I'd eaten in the lovely cafe next door.

Hotel in the centre of Malvern, easy access to the town. Big car park but quite a walk uphill to reception with steps up to the main door. Very nice interiors, we only had breakfast which was a buffet and had to reserve a table a bit ridiculous as everyone seemed to arrive at the same time. Only negative, hair dryer did not work and water pressure is very poor. Would stay again.

My husband and I came here on a whim after looking at various different spa hotels and we’re so glad we did! Firstly the rooms, they were spacious and well decorated. The only downside was that they probably needing a little TLC or touchup here and there. On the morning of our stay we encountered a decorator in the hallway so I believe they are already addressing this. The spa itself was lovely. The pool was the perfect temperature and the variety of steam rooms and saunas on offer was good. My husband did complain the steam room “wasn’t steamy enough” but he loved the Kilo Sauna. He had a back, neck and shoulder massage and said it was perfect. The restaurant was lovely. I would recommend to everyone to get the steak. I did not but when I saw my husbands I immediately regretted my choice! The best part of our whole stay was the staff. Every person we interacted with was lovely and every query was answered. We will definitely be back! Had an amazing overnight and the fact that the spa facilities are open so early to so late at night was great!

One of the loveliest spa breaks I’ve ever had. The hotel and spa is in a slightly unusual location on a business estate but once you’re inside it really doesn’t matter. The rooms were super comfortable with one of the best showers I’ve ever experienced and the spa itself is great-a good range of experiences and a beautiful pool-would definitely recommend an evening visit to get the full effect! Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were excellent but the real standout was the service and the team-just brilliant! Everyone from the spa team who kept our drinks topped up to the restaurant staff who were wonderful-all so welcoming and genuinely friendly. Loved it, and will definitely visit again!

I came for a spa day with my friend today the facilities are lovely, really clean and well kept. We had a really relaxing day, food in the restaurant is delicious, the only negative about this was the service was quite slow however Ella the server was very polite and apologetic. The stand out part for us was the full body massage, I had Alla who was absolutely fantastic, the best therapist I have ever had. She was just brilliant and had so much knowledge about all the different areas of the body and what was needed for each area. I would definitely recommend Alla if you are having a full body massage.

Lovely, relaxing time at the Malvern Spa Hotel. Very friendly staff. Rooms, spa and saunas were clean and well kept. We had pedicure, manicure and massage as part of a package deal. Very reasonably priced. Check their website for details. The only downside we had was the lift was out of order for the few days we were there which unfortunately was the bank holiday so they had problems sourcing someone to fix the lift. We are of limited mobility but the lift being out of order did not cause much of an issue. There were lockers to stash a change of clothes and we spent the majority of our days in the spa area in robes and swimming costumes (most people did). The restaurant allowed you to eat in your robes apart from evening meals where you had to dress for dinner albeit casual. We had a very good afternoon tea and evening meals in the restaurant. A variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options were available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again.

We booked this 2 months ago but unfortunately had to change twice due to work commitment but the reception was lovely and nothing was too much a bother. We finally had a full day doing the discovery day. We really enjoyed it. We had a full body massage and Alla was amazing and If I could, I would give her 10 stars i would. Definitely will be looking at membership. Thank you for an amazing day.

We had the most amazing time at The Malvern Spa! We came to relax after getting married, and the team made our stay feel so special from the moment we arrived. They even surprised us with an incredible upgrade to one of the beautiful pods, which was such a lovely touch and made our visit even more memorable. Dinner was absolutely fantastic — I had the steak, which was incredible (the peppercorn sauce was heavenly!) and my husband had the chicken burger, which he loved especially the sauce. The only slight downside was the garlic bread — my husband eats absolutely everything, but he had one bite and couldn’t eat any more. It was pretty inedible. But honestly, that’s the only thing we could fault in an otherwise flawless experience Everything else was perfect — the facilities are spotless and relaxing, the treatments were heavenly, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and celebrated. Thank you so much to everyone at The Malvern Spa for making our post-wedding getaway unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed here for our anniversary. We did the Malvern Signature spa break with a back massage which was wonderful. The food was delicious and the service was great.. drinks were a bit slow but it was busy so understandable. The restaurant manager Ollie was very nice and polite- like the cherry on top of the stay. The room was good- no issues. The spa facilities were great, very relaxing and good use of all spa rooms. We had a great time. Thankyou !

My partner and I have stayed at The Malvern Spa around seven times now, and every single visit has been exceptional. From the moment you arrive, the staff make you feel welcome — always polite, attentive, and consistently going above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. The rooms are clean, spacious, and offer great value for money. The overall atmosphere is one of calm and luxury without any pretension. The pool area is a real highlight – beautifully maintained, with friendly staff regularly on hand to offer drinks and keep the area spotless. The food at the restaurant never disappoints. I’ve had one of the best beef burgers of my life here, and the quality and consistency of the meals are always top-tier. Everything is cooked to perfection, and the dining experience complements the relaxing vibe of the spa perfectly. Spa treatments are consistently excellent too – the therapists are professional, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. The relaxation room is a thoughtful and peaceful addition, and it really helps you switch off completely. A special shoutout to one of the managers, Ollie, whose sense of humour and warm personality always make us feel like valued guests. He genuinely enhances the experience and is a credit to the team. We’ve enjoyed every single stay at The Malvern Spa and will continue to return — it truly is our go-to place for a relaxing escape. Highly recommended!

A lovely hidden gem of a hotel. We stayed here as guests at a wedding which was at the hotel. The wedding was lovely and the food ( wedding breakfast) and evening buffet was high quality. The service was excellent too. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. The room was warm but quite dimly lit. Great to have free access to the pool and gym, the pool is however very small and therefore gets noisy quite easily. Location was ideal, especially as we caught the train in

Lovely hotel just a bit dated. It was clean and tidy but where some areas were older looking like the steam room/pool area it looked unclean. Unfortunately they had a hot water issue so we didn’t always have hot water over the duration of our stay. Staff were attentive and friendly. The location is right in the middle of Worcester town centre. The gym and facilities were good.

As a proud member of the Ravenmeadow and Perdiswell Golf Club, our presentation evening was held last night at The Whitehouse. Thank you to everyone at The Whitehouse for fantastic food, service and ambiance. And without fear of contradiction, I was treated to the world's finest Steak and Ale Pie. Thanks once again to the maitre d' and all the staff for delightful evening. Nick Bowen

We selected the Whitehouse Hotel to host our son's 18th birthday meal and were not disappointed! We had our own private function room close to the bar but isolated from other guests, the buffet was exceptionally good with enough food for our 11 guests (all dietary requirements, of which we have several, were well catered for), and the service was attentive but not overbearing throughout the evening. The hotel had also been flexible with rearranging the event after our son became very ill days before the original date, without us losing money. Would definitely recommend and, as we have another 18th coming up in less than 2 years' time, we will certainly consider returning!

Terrible service and attitude. Phoned in the morning to check that the café would be open all day. Told it would be. Asked if there were any restrictions on the time it served food. Told no and cafe sold food all day. Arrived 3:50 pm and asked for some food just a simple sandwich. Was told they stopped serving food at 4 pm. I replied it is not 4 pm. Told no can be sold Then offered a sausage roll. Appalling attitude appalling service never again.

Had a lovely afternoon there. We took a toddler, 7 and 9 year old and they particularly liked the goblin trail. Wellies would probably be needed on a damp day. There's a good hedge maze which kept the kids busy for a while. The car park was free. The baby changing room had no heating and was absolutely freezing (being outside). I would recommend visiting in the holidays when children get in free.

I visited Arley Arboretum Tearoom today with a group of friends to celebrate my 80th birthday with an Afternoon Tea. We had a lovely time, the food was excellent, a good variety of sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls, salad, fruit, scones with jam and clotted cream and delicious cakes, all beautifully presented. There was a choice of tea and coffee, the staff were efficient and very accommodating. A really wonderful way to celebrate my birthday. Thank you so much to the staff for making it such a lovely occasion. Jill Green.

Afternoon Tea For 5 - Celebrating Our Moms Birthdays What can I say, blown away by the house, the food and the service. We chose champagne afternoon tea, we had veggie and meat options. Both choices were plentiful, fresh and so delicious, you will not leave hungry. We ate in the dining room with a lovely homely, relaxed atmosphere. We even chose our favourite songs to play on the speaker. We decided to eat cakes/scones in the bar area by the fire which was such a lovely treat. Cakes were fresh and so delicious. Words from our moms “This is the best Afternoon Tea I’ve ever had” Thank you for a very special day Kateshill House and all the lovely staff from Helen , Sally , Beth and our lovely moms xxxx We will definitely be back ❤️

Had afternoon tea at Kateshill House today. I can't recommend it enough. Sam, Bernie and the team were fantastic and so welcoming. The food was superb, very fresh, plentiful and well worth the price (which was lower priced than elsewhere locally). I've been to 5 star hotels and received less. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The house is stunning and marvellous, with many original fixtures. We will be back very soon. Thankyou.

I visited Kateshill House for afternoon tea, and it was amazing. I thoroughly recommend it. A fabulous location, we had a choice of where to sit. We had a lovely welcome. The sandwiches were made fresh to our specific likes, a delicious quiche, sausage rolls. Fabulous scones and cake. We were not rushed and could have sat there all afternoon.

Kateshill House is a hidden gem. The house and our room was beautiful, spacious, secure and immaculately clean. Location was brilliant only a few minutes walk from Bewdley township, the river Severn, in beautiful Worcestershire countryside with Shropshire down the road. Serving the best breakfast we had in our 5 weeks of UK travels. Afternoon tea or simple coffee and cake is a must. What really makes this establishment 5 star is the host, Sam who was very professional, clear, friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Beds comfortable. Showers powerful. Parking plentiful and free. Internet great. Can not say enough good things about our stay. We will be back in the future.

Everything about kateshill was perfect. Prime location tucked away in a leafy green lane with only a 5 minute stroll to the town and Riverside. Passing small and historic pubs and homes along the way ( look out for the blue plaques). The staff, Sam in particular 🙌 were welcoming, friendly, polite and hospitable. Understandable why the breakfast won the 2023 award, perfectly cooked and served. 👌 Our suite The Henry on the top floor had a beautiful view across the gardens and was pure luxury from the minute we entered. You have to see it to believe it! ❤️ The hotel was a historic pleasure to look at as you approach and the interior was exceptionally tasteful, immaculately clean and fresh. The terraced gardens are peaceful to relax in giving a stunning view and are beautifully maintained. Including a small allotment area. Kateshill we are coming back!

Four of us spent 3 nights at Kateshill last week and it truly is a gem of a place. A beautiful house set in lovely surroundings, very peaceful and yet only 2 minutes from the town centre of Bewdley with it's array of shops, bars, restaurants, museum and of course amazing views of the River Severn. Sam and her staff are simply the best and couldn't have done more to make us all feel welcome and comfortable during our stay. Our top floor rooms, Henry and Tudor, were very spacious and impeccably clean and well equipped. Both also having lovely views over the gardens. The new bar is very inviting and there is a food menu with choices for everyone. Breakfast was very well organised and set us up nicely each day. Kateshill is in a great location with Stourport on Severn, Worcester and Stratford Upon Avon all within easy driving distance. Thank you again Sam, Tyne and everyone for looking after us and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.

"The Potting Shed" is a charming and accommodating spot with beautiful surroundings, making it a hidden gem for visitors. The terrace offers delicious food while overlooking the golf course, providing a stunning location to enjoy. The staff are generally excellent, offering friendly and helpful service. However, some guests have noted that certain staff members could improve their tact. Overall, it's an ideal place to relax before or after a round of golf with great food and friendly service.
Very accommodating with parking, despite being busy, for a disabled lady. Delicious food served on the terrace while we watched golfings finest tee off. Very beautiful surroundings. Staff in the dinning area are superbe. Friendly helpful and accommodating. But some other staff did leave a little to be desired in the tact department. Its rude to stare at than last fortunate springs to mind. Try being less obvious in your actions .... another. Bit of work needed in the equality and diversity hand book .. me thinks.

Coffee Haven is a charming garden center that offers a delightful afternoon tea experience on weekdays from 2 pm. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a sweet and savory selection served on a three-tier cake stand alongside your choice of hot drink. Visitors can expect great service from the polite and friendly staff, while the cozy ambiance adds to the overall appeal.
The staff were incredibly polite and nice. Great service. The coffee was lovely and the room nice and warm. Didn’t have food so can’t comment on that, but I’d definitely go again.

Not very good, will not be returning. Sunday morning, sausage sandwich, bread thin sliced, sausages with no taste. Coffee was ok. Shame, nice location but really needs to up its game, crusty bread thick sliced, local tasty filling. So, tried it, not for me.
Ben N — Google review
Unfortunately, the way they want to serve people doesn't work. We waited 40 minutes for our coffees which during that time our food had arrived & we had finished it (basic bland food sorry), so we decided to get cake to go with our coffees however we then finished our coffees waiting for the cake so we had to get a refund for them & leave. There is a reason most other cafes don't work that way because otherwise nobody has a drink to go with their food. Hopefully, they can take that feedback on board & change for the better for the locals as we aren't!
Billie B — Google review
We visited Burford for lunch today and, unusually for us, left very disappointed. By 12:30pm they had already run out of jacket potatoes and prawns, and I overheard another customer being told there was no ciabatta. I ordered a ham salad, and my daughter chose the mozzarella, tomato, and pesto flatbread (vegetarian). After a 30-minute wait, my meal arrived exactly as ordered and was very nice — but my daughter’s came topped with Italian ham. She doesn’t like it, so we politely asked for it to be replaced. The front-of-house staff were apologetic, but after another 15 minutes her “replacement” arrived… with Italian ham again, plus pesto, still no olives and not as ordered. She ended up pulling the ham off and eating the rest. If she had been vegetarian, this would have been completely unacceptable. The front-of-house team were embarrassed, but the repeated mistake made it feel like the kitchen simply wasn’t paying attention. Sadly, our rare lunch together was spoiled. We’ve enjoyed good food here in the past, with lots of dairy free options too, (sadly they now don’t seem available) but this visit was a real letdown.
Helen S — Google review
Absolutely awful! Wish I’d read previous reviews before heading here, I’d have saved our group of 11 wasted time. Monday morning and only serving breakfast sandwiches. Only a few other people in the restaurant. Took a long time to order, waited 15mins before a member of staff told us that chef needed to prepare more bacon and would be another 30mins! We didn’t even get our coffees in the time we were waiting. Needless to say we got a refund and headed elsewhere. If you can’t prepare for something as simple as sandwiches, you shouldn’t be in the food serving industry. Awful place. Only added 1 star as I had no option for 0 star.
Zoe F — Google review
Dont go here in the am if there are more than 4 people or you'll get spoken to like you were back at school for not pre booking. Was less than a quarter full and we were told that the kitchen was too busy to do anything that takes more than 3 minutes to cook. I hope the manager reads this and has a word with the women on the till her attitude and customer service is shocking.
Dave H — Google review
What has happened to the cafe?, it used to serve lovely food, the meal we just had was at best average. Ordered a ciabata with cheese & ham and an open sandwich of roast beef. The ciabata could not of been much thinner and the ham was wafer thin, the relish that was supposed to come with it was also missing, the open sandwich had roast beef that was wafer thin supermarket pre packed, not freshly roasted as you would imagine, ordered it on brown bread was sent out on white. The salad that accompanied both meals had been poured our of a bag, and the tomatoes were tasteless. When you are charging £7 a sandwich you need to up your game....
