Went with a couple of friends for the first time. Atmosphere was perfect if you want a place with good vibes and good music while still being able to have a conversation. Service and cocktails were amazing, bartenders here definitely know their craft and they were lovely to talk to ✨

Chris makes the most amazing Sticky Date Pudding cocktail. It’s off menu, but it is brilliant. Thoroughly recommend it. Great atmosphere and nice and cosy for winter warmer drinks

Cool place with the seating area built onto stair-like plateus. Industrially designed and a good selection of drinks. Definitely worth a visit, and hopefully you'd get one of the two tables looking out over the street. A little too few beers on selection for me personally, but I would not say no if going with someone who hasn't been here before.

Recieved a wine I wasn't quite happy with tonight. The bar staff offered me an alternative/replacment without any commotion or uplift. A generous display of hospitality which speaks to this venues legendary staus. Thanks black shirt, gold earing.

One of Perth's hidden bars, with a secret entrance and no signage but Google will guide you. A password required for Friday and Saturday nights but weeknights they will buzz you in. The decor is really nice and the atmosphere is cozy with plenty of whiskeys and spirits along the back wall. The service is friendly but we did go on a Tuesday night so it was quiet.

Saloon-style bar focused on rum, with a small cocktail menu and tasting flights. Drinks lean sweet and mainstream, with pricing on the higher side. We asked for a Rum Old Fashioned with a local twist, but both rounds were overly sweet and lacked finesse. Service was inattentive despite only a couple of people in the venue at the time, and overall the experience didn’t match the premium pricing. The concept had us hopeful, but it’s catering more to the mainstream and leaning heavily on the hype.

Fun experience finding this place and the anticipation built having to wait 5 minutes and wondering if we had the right place after 5 minutes of pressing the button. We were let in but there was no instructions as to how service worked. Staff member just wandered off. We sat at a table and eventually figured we’d need to go to the bar but again no indication of any service area, just stand anywhere and hope to get noticed. The range of rums is very impressive. My buddy and I waited around 10 minutes for service despite being right at the bar. Only 2 bar people and one glassy. The bar people are obviously trying to create an experience in the way they make the cocktails doing completely unnecessary chipping of ice etc which is great to watch when there’s plenty of time but when there’s 7 or 8 groups at the bar waiting to order it becomes tedious. My mates order was taken and as soon as he got this drinks I went to order and the bar staff walked to the other end of the bar and started serving someone who had arrived after me. I waited probably 20 minutes again before service. The drinks were excellent and if not for the lack of bar staff we may have stayed for another round but we all agreed it wasn’t worth the frustration of going to the bar again. That’s probably a $150 order lost. They’ve done a great job on the bars vibe, fit out, drinks menu and could probably do much better with a little thought in how to quickly and fairly serve customers.

We went in early on a Sunday. It was a lovely intimate venue and I loved the decor. I have never seen so many rums in one place. Delicious piña coladas.

Had such a great experience at Sneaky Tony’s! Dalyan really stood out – he keeps the bar spotless and clearly takes pride in what he does. On top of that, his drinks are amazing – super tasty and made with so much care. You can tell he puts effort into both the service and the atmosphere, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely recommend stopping by and catching him behind the bar! give that man a raise fr fr Seth is an absolute legend behind the bar at Sneaky Tony’s. He’s got great energy and makes you feel welcome the second you walk in. His cocktail skills are spot on – every drink he mixed was perfectly balanced and packed with flavour. On top of that, he’s super attentive without ever being over the top, which makes the whole night flow really smoothly. Can’t recommend him enough!

Great vibes in this tucked away speakeasy. All good fun with changing passwords, secret dance rooms and some extremely talented bartenders! They dance on tables, offer great banter and can make a decent drink consistently too! Highly recommended!

One of the coolest bars in Perth, if you like whiskey you’ll definitely like this bar. Came here on a Monday night, the staff were very accommodating, they helped us choose and try some nice whiskeys and some delicious food. We had heard of the bacon with whiskey, so we had to try the whiskey bacon flight, and that was great, really enjoyed it and it was a great experience. If you’re looking for a night out would definitely recommend coming here for a drink.

First time that I have had a whiskey and bacon experience and I enjoyed it! It was a new experience to taste the flavour combining. I would recommend trying it if you like whiskey. The rest of the food was also quite good. Very nice cosy setting that can get quite busy on a Friday and Saturday night. I would recommend to book if you are planning on going there on those nights!

personally the ambiance of the place is nice and the service was quick but the food is not $150 worth. we were served bread, potato with bacon, brocoli, salami, finger portion of beef tartar, main was for one and its not even beef steak, its lamb for 1 person. lastly, a lovely however tiniest bit of desert. if being honestly asked what was the best course, i do not know. im not sure whether this is something i would recommend.

I went from "there's no way I'm drinking a Jack Daniel's cocktail" to "give me one of those Jack Daniel's cocktails" real quick. Spectacular menu, great staff, small Midwest country town vibes. Rushed out just after midnight to tend to my cattle, before remembering we were in the city and I'm not a rancher.

Had the steak night here. Amazing service from crew member Emma for the whole night who explained everything and took care of us. They were on top of getting out the steak and fries. The sirloin steak was cooked to medium rare perfection with the fries coming out piping hot fresh and were well seasoned. The broccoli had some sandiness but the miso and roasted flavour was still bomb so I’d still 5/5 the night. Would come again, thank you team.

Food was amazing and service was impeccable. Even during rush hour they we still super attentive and made our time so enjoyable. Drinks are strong and delicious and again cannot rave about the food enough if you want something special get the chefs selections for 75pp it was just outstanding. Defs recommend booking of your thinking Friday to Sunday as it is busy but you won’t regret ❤️

The perfect place to have your new years eve dinner. Food was 11/10. Service was amazing. The atmosphere and the music were the best ever and the pickle whiskey shots hit a spot I didn't know existed. Highly recommend Varnish for your next must eat at restaurant.

Unassuming entrance in an office building leads downstairs to a cozy, quirky bar decorated with animal photos and taxidermy sporting party hats. The menu stands out with a dedicated section for native Australian ingredients. Highlights include the Honeycomb Old Fashioned which was beautifully balanced. The Salted Rattlesnake, a twist on a classic sour, was straightforward and enjoyable. Overall, a hidden gem with quality drinks and a unique atmosphere.

This review is better late than never after my first visit there last Friday! Although this basement bar was packed to the rafters with a lively crowd, we were quickly seated and warmly greeted at the bar by a bartender named Josh. Despite the chaos around him, Josh was incredibly efficient, composed, and clearly passionate about his craft. He didn’t just make cocktails -He was able to make recommendations tailored to our tastes as well. What stood out most was his attentiveness and willingness to elevate our experience with information and a little bit of history about the cocktails we were ordering (charlie chaplin's & honeycomb negoroni's). Every drink he made was balanced, beautifully presented, and delivered so well! It’s been a week and I’m still thinking about the impeccable service we received. Josh truly left a lasting impression -if you find yourself there, do yourself a favour and sit at the bar. You won’t regret it.

Went to foxtrot last night for our first wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect!!! Our bartender was a superstar, had excellent recommendations for cocktails, always refilling water before I could ask and great banter. The atmosphere is amazing and who can say no to animals wearing party hats or "does it jaffle" leaderboard. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

The service is always amazing here! It has a really nicely considered interior layout and aesthetic, comfy seats, and lots of things to catch your eye and keep you occupied when your friend goes to the loo. And their cheese tastiest (jaffles) will change your actual life.

The place is small but inviting, and the vibe in general is good. But the staff is somewhat unpleasant. The guy at the bar was helpful but one of the girls have an attitude and somehow told me off just by asking about the dry limes on the bar. Prices are a bit high but will still recommend it to have a go. Management should take care of the female staff

We visited Caballitos for the Endless Tacos deal after seeing it featured on Perth is OK. The entry vibe was great, the atmosphere is fun, colourful, and clearly designed more as a bar than a restaurant. Seating was cute, though we were placed at a tiny table despite the venue being fairly empty. It worked out fine, but something to note. The staff were friendly, attentive, and the drinks were fantastic, definitely a highlight. Service was smooth and we didn’t feel rushed even with the 60-minute all-you-can-eat format. As for the tacos… unfortunately, they were quite underwhelming. We managed two rounds within the hour (which was plenty), but the tacos themselves lacked flavour and felt a bit bland. They were served in bamboo trays, which is environmentally thoughtful, something I appreciate – though the bamboo had a noticeable scent that might bothersome. While I love the concept and appreciate the bar’s vibe and service, I wouldn’t recommend going specifically for the food. It’s a fun place for drinks and atmosphere, but the taco deal didn’t live up to the hype we saw online. It also makes me wonder whether recommendation sites like Perth is OK actually review venues first-hand or if some features are paid.

Booked the all you can eat tacos, food was yum for 35$ customers service was very blasé blasé we left early took 1min to eat the taco like 3-4 bites and 5-15min for them to take the order and serve the food 🤷‍♀️ good atmosphere for a big group

The staff were friendly but the food was tragic. We tried the unlimited tacos, the food was precooked and bland. They don't have a real kitchen just a food press at the bar. My partner ordered a Coke and it was poured from a warm can and was flat. I appreciate the concept but this bar needs better management and a better set up.

Definitely somewhere to tuck into a few cocktails. The staff are super friendly and the manager there was awesome. She directed us to some fantastic tequilas that we would have never tried if not for her advice.

I had high hopes for my visit, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. We arrived to a lovely atmosphere, only to be met by a rude and out-of-order bouncer who immediately questioned us about how much we had to drink, despite the fact that we didnt drink at all! His condescending remarks, like “don’t drink too much,” were not only unnecessary but downright insulting. Having just spent $100 on 4 drinks for my friends, things took a turn for the worse when, while we were quietly enjoying the music, the same bouncer approached me and had the audacity to accuse us of being intoxicated after just one drink. We were completely sober and just trying to have a good time! It was infuriating to be treated like that. The cocktail maker was fantastic, and the venue itself is beautiful, but the obnoxious and unprofessional behavior of the security staff ruined the entire experience. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and it’s clear we won’t be returning. Forgive me for ordering an alcoholic drink at a cocktail bar. How rude of me.

Super cool atmosphere and they had someone teaching you some dance moves and had people dancing along. The bar staff were friendly but I ordered a standard old fashion (not on the menu) . I felt like $30 was a bit steep for a standard makers mark old fashion when the one on their menu was $26. The cocktail was good but not mind blowing. When I went up for my second drink (one that was on the menu with a price) I asked why the old fashion was so expensive and he said that old fashions can cost up to $400 depending on what booze you use (I totally get that) but I feel like he was just avoiding the question for charging $30 for a basic cocktail. Cool vibes though, just a little downer with that.

This is a great bar BUT as we were sitting quietly chatting to ourselves at the bar disturbing nobody towards the end of the night, the security guy walked up and became incredibly aggressive. Frankly, from my perspective he had a serious psychological issue - for one thing, he point blank refused to give me his name - and the person behind the bar was obviously very uncomfortable about the way he was behaving. I will not not be going back anytime soon and I would not recommend you do do either.

Absolutely the pinnacle of what it means to be an American bar. Whisky selection is incredible. Cocktails are filled with extra details which make it unique and special. Do they need to have a special whisky blend with their whisky sours? No, but hell yeah it makes it a special drink. Do they need to add a marshmallow? No, but hell yeah it makes it memorable. Sazerac was made incredibly well, service was unparalleled. Staff actually cared about working there, and they had full control of the music selection which added some humour which was very much appreciated. Staff were friendly without being overbearing. Plenty of seating, atmosphere was fun even during the quiet moments. Honestly, in terms of venues in Perth if you have any interest in Americana culture, this is an absolute must visit.

All staff incredible. Ask for Dylan who knows everything to know about all things whiskey, especially bourbon. Line dancing was welcoming. Friday around 6pm. Then a class blues band played until the early hours. Would recomend to anyone doing a night in perth!

Get your Blues Brothers on and head upstairs to the best kept not secret bar in Northbridge! The Alabama Song Bar oozes chill vibes, blues, Johnny Cash and some nights has vinyl DJs. Don't leave without having a Whiskey Sour! Get ya camera ready for the blow torched marshmallow.

I booked for my birthday (20 people) on Saturday. I must say this was the best venue I’ve had for a big gathering. They put us in an awesome area, it had couches and high tables, it was secluded, the bar was right there but also we had staff coming regularly to check in on us and take drink or food orders. The staff were brilliant! Thank you so much for making my night so special! Everyone in my group enjoyed the place, the drinks and found the spot given really outstanding!

Bobeche is a niche whiskey bar with a fantastic atmosphere, me and a group of friends got in with no wait and the cocktails were certainly some of the best I’ve had in a while. I’d highly recommend the Japanese slipper and the espresso martini.

We came here for the plateful martini flight + crisps pairing, and every aspect of the visit surpassed expectations. Whoever conceptualised this menu is a creative genius - the essence of each classical crisp flavour is straight captured in martini form, with the elements deepening in complexity as you progress through the flight. You are served the ideal amount, so it feels like excellent value while not being sickly to finish. House made crisps were so light and salty they provide the perfect accent to the sweetness of alcohol - super satisfying. The interior captures a classic speak-easy vibe. With the soft textures and warmth of leather and velvet contrasted against crisp white uniforms, there is a real mysterious, sophisticated ambience that surrounds you. Then the element that tipped this experience to perfection was the service. We arrived early for our reso, greeted and seated immediately. For every thought, our waiter was already right there doing it as if he could read our minds. I’ve never experienced anything like it before, even at fine dining restaurants. Thank you guys, it was a true pleasure.

It was my girlfriend’s birthday dinner and we came here after our meal to share a few drinks. It’s her favourite bar, and for a reason! The cocktails are awesome, as well as the recommendations. Branagan was lovely, gave insane service and his cocktails were incredible. Highly recommend for an intimate night out. If you love popcorn, Branagan’s the man.

I attended on my own and was very well looked after. The guitar quartet were brilliant. My only feedback would be to seat the music lovers close to the stage and encourage people who were not interested in the music, to move way to the back (but this is a common problem)

Tucked down a side alley, this bar has a relaxed, low-key atmosphere with cozy lounges inside and benches lining the alley outside. It leans slightly mainstream but with a more elevated feel. Cocktails are pre-batched, with finishing touches like honey or foam added before serving. While creative, the foam blended in over time, making the drink overly creamy and sweet by the final sips. But our other drinks have been high quality and well-balanced. A great spot for casually hanging out with friends over a good, easy-drinking cocktail.

Ezra Pound Thanks to the histroy review, M left, I was Intreged and had to check it out. Entering Ezra Pound, I stepped back in time. The history fits the decor of the bar. Ornate carvings boarded the curved sofas and arm chairs, draped in heavy fabrics, with cabinets displaying antique looking lamps, etc. They don't have a mocktail menu. However, the staff did offer to make something to my liking asking questions into what I felt like. Awsome service. If you are looking for something to do. I would highly recommend visiting Ezra Pound at night, taking a seat inside, and going to Google Ezra Pound with a drink of your liking as I did. Made for an interesting educational evening. Take away from it what you like. Overall, it's a bustling wee bar with great staff.

We went searching for Toots, a speakeasy 80s club located somewhere in Northbridge 😜😜 The cocktail and shots list in this place is fantastic, and it makes me wanna try everything on the menu! 🍹🍹 All cocktails can be made into four shots. That way, you and your friends can have more variety 🙋🏻‍♀️😁 They are swamped on the weekend, so if you're free on the weekday and looking for a place to chill, hit Toots up! 💃🏻🥁

Went here last night, and the vibes were 10/10. Sick tunes and great people. Massive shoutout to the bartender in the cowboy hat, who was incredibly patient and so quick with his service!! 10/10 drinks. The lady tending the door was amazing as well. Such amazing vibes xx 10/10

This is a fun bar within a bar. 80s vibes and a DJ make it quite popular on weekends. Drinks were tasty and served fast despite it being crowded.

Absolutely worth stopping in if you're in the area! Looking forward to returning!

Tucked away down a basement staircase, Alfred’s is one of those hidden gems that locals love. The vibe is moody, retro, and full of character — think vinyl records, vintage lighting, and a killer soundtrack. Their pizza is consistently excellent, with chewy crusts and generous toppings (the pepperoni is hard to beat). Add in strong drinks, late hours, and friendly banter behind the bar, and you’ve got one of Perth’s best low-key hangouts.

We had two nights in Perth and had dinner here both nights. Pizzas are soooo delicious, drinks and music great and the vibe sensational. Guys at the bar are so nice and friendly. Got a great welcome back the second night. Even being in our early 60's felt included and had a blast.

I have been passing by this bar for many years but I never stopped by and what a waste! What a surprise for me was, what a wonderful experience! This looks like a tiki bar as the tropical atmosphere transport you in a Caribbean island with lots of palm trees and plants, rattan decor, masks and a wide variety of rum and refreshing cocktails. The Caribbean music is also a great way to enjoy the atmosphere and the drinks while being in a great company so for quite some time you forget to be in Perth.

I'm not even a drinker, but this place makes me want to come back every week. The cocktails are next level, the tiki atmosphere is super cozy, and the staff (including the friendly owner) make you feel right at home. Perfect spot to chill with friends, highly recommend!

Owner kicked me out just for talking to people in the bathroom like everyone else does, even though I came with mates. I don’t even come here often, and if you’re from Perth don’t expect to enjoy it — the music is terrible. The only positive is the staff are friendly, but even they don’t respect him. One of them told me, “don’t take it personal, there’s something wrong with him.”

Loved it. Lazy late Saturday afternoon. Rooftop drinks and grazing. Food was very good. And the Saganaki a true highlight. QR code ordering was at time a little long in delivery. But otherwise a solid early autumn option.

What we expected to be a lovely day turned out to be quite disappointing due to the service we received - not from one, but from two different waitresses. Our main server was visibly irritated and consistently rude. Each time we asked for something, she appeared annoyed and even sighed “ugh” under her breath loud enough for our entire table to hear. It’s a real shame, because the venue itself is beautiful and the food was enjoyable, creating the potential for a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, the poor attitude and unprofessional service overshadowed everything and left us with a negative impression. I completely understand that busy shifts can be stressful, but having worked as a waitress myself, I know how important it is to treat guests with kindness and patience - no matter what’s going on behind the scenes.

We came in for the two for one pasta on wednesdays. We ended up waiting around an hour for the food despite arriving early at 6pm. When the food arrived, I was very disappointed by the portion size, it seemed like it was only half a portion size which defeats the purpose of two for one. The pasta also tasted overwhelmingly of preserved lemon, I did send it back but the second one still tasted quite similar and it still tasted too much like lemon. There was also a very sad amount of prawns :(

The Standard is one of those rare places that nails both food and vibe. Tucked away in Northbridge, it’s got a funky outdoor garden and a buzzing inside bar area. The menu is made for sharing and full of surprises — the Korean fried chicken and the miso eggplant were amazing. The cocktails are creative and the service is upbeat and friendly. It’s perfect for a night out with friends or a casual but stylish dinner. Book ahead — it gets packed, especially on weekends.

We did a cocktail class as a group. Entertaining teaching by the bar manager, enjoyed the cocktails and the laughter as the drinks flowed. The food was a bonus, really tasty. Good time had by all.

Came here with my partner for date night for the first time on Friday and definitely wasn't disappointed! We were looking for a cocktail bar that offered some specialty cocktails neither of us had been before, didn't disappoint! We both tried several from their extensive list, all feeling very out the box and well curated. Atmosphere was top notch to boot, dark and moody while still remaining cozy. We found some seats and hostess Jasmine served us throughout the entirety of the night, she was so incredibly lovely, accommodating, and was overall just super attentive - taking it upon herself to move us to a more comfortable area when it opened up; which she by no means had to do! Left a tip and for sure have a couple more regulars now <3

Celebrated my friends birthday here and was such a good atmosphere, had a room reserved for us. Specialty cocktails were so unique and well made. The bar staff were very profesional and customer service was great. Definetly recommend.

A fantastic experience from start to finish, the vibe is very welcoming, the staff are great and the drinks are absolutely delicious, what better way to end a fantastic meal at W Churchill 2 doors down than to go over to Bar Lafayette and have a few drinks. It's an excellent spot to hang out with friends, both the indoor and outdoor seating is well spaced, so it never feels over crowded, but you know the place is pumping! Had a great time and will definitely be back for more delicious drinks. There are also plenty of bar food options, to accompany the drinks. All couple each other really well.

I booked Bar Lafayette for our work Social Event and was very pleased with night. Email communication with Mia was friendly and through and easy to arrange everything we needed for the night. We were taken to our private function room upon arrival and drink orders arrived very quickly after. We chose several share platters and they arrived on time. The food was lovely! So many flavours and so much to choose from. Great selection! All the waitstaff were very friendly and professional, especially our own host for the whole night. I highly recommend for your next function.

Lovely bar in Brookfield Place, with some very nice moody ambience & decor, various interesting lounge & seating areas. Staff were mostly very good, certainly professional & very busy, though bar was a little small to effectively serve the demand promptly. Music with live DJ was good, but too loud throughout - needs some quiet areas. Very pricey drinks, but worth a visit. Didn't try any food.

Nice chilled bar! The bartender's are excellent in their craft mixing some of the best cocktails. The waitresses are attentive, pleasant and polite👌 If you are looking for a chilled night out, relaxing to good music a neat drink or cocktail definitely a place to go. Will definitely visit again! Obsessed with this bar, I come here whenever I’m having a night out. I tend to just get an aquarium fishbowl (definitely recommend if you haven’t tried it!). Haven’t had food here so can’t comment on that. Best time to come here is 11 onwards for weekends as that’s when it starts getting more busy

Some of your security staff need further training on learning how to interact with people, I've never had a problem with Joe's in the past until Saturday night I was refused entry by an extremely rude and dismissive young male security guard and it's not good enough, he didn't bother greeting me or checking my ID as I was about to hand it to him, I arrived here after I'd attended a concert so I had partial laryngitis due to this, I had a few drinks but was still walking in a straight line and not slurring my words,I tried politely explaining this and yet he still refused me entry even after I mentioned I desperately needed to use the bathroom and there was no other bathrooms open nearby, he said "not my problem", to refuse someone a basic human rignt of using the bathroom is just disgusting, horrible behaviour by someone who, given his job, should have better people skills, please train your security staff more thoroughly as that sort of attitude is completely unacceptable.

I have been going to Joe's for years. It's one of my favourite place's in Peth. But tonight I was basically interrogated by a young male security guard of my previous whereabouts and how many drinks I'd had! He was not friendly and over zealous in his approach. It's was only 9pm! It's not what it used to be 🫤

The one and only way you should ever go to this place is a Friend takes you and doesn’t tell you anything… What a surprise it also helps if you are a little bit of a metal head… The DJ played oldschool metal. There was Metallica there was Pantera out of nowhere it was rad.. I can’t wait to do the same thing and bring a mate to this Bar and not tell them anything and just watch them experience it…… How much did I like it? I even bought the hat. Keep playing those tunes boys. It was rad.

charged me $20 extra for a fishbowl. when i went back and asked a bartender they told me the correct price ($55 not $75 like I was charged) and then told me to come back and talk to them later about it. i remained there for an hour or so and there was no 'quiet' moment for me to go up and sort out the over charging issue. very annoying.

Rude as hell security staff, clearly profiled me on the one night that I was dressed like a 'normie' (I'm there regularly with no issues). Apparently 'I stumbled' on the way there (I have mobility issues). The security guard in question wasn't interested in my explanation but when my friend tried to explain after I'd walked away he said 'he should have defended himself'. What an absolutely disgusting way to treat patrons.

Great location for a bar and good food options, the tables need a good clean in the restaurant part and the meals and drinks are a tad pricey, food was good quality but not great fish was very greasy. Salad was good though

We ordered the prawn salad, lamb Slovaki and the fish and chips. The only complaint was the lamb being a bit too fatty, otherwise everyone enjoyed their meals. The food came out quickly, within 15 minutes of ordering. We were having lunch on a Saturday and felt it was a bit quiet given the weekend which may have contributed to a fast service.

Ordered the sweet potato salad with crispy chickpeas. Not one chickpea. Some sweet potato salad. A lot of boiled white potatoes. Saturated in dressing. Yeah. Not good. The fish and chips were good, but the side salad didn’t arrive.

At first glance, the restaurant from the outside looks empty but it can be bustling if you go right in. Fish & Chips, Potato skin, Cauliflower, Calamari - all lovely. Orders and payment can be made digitally via ‘scan-to-order’ QR codes on each table. Cutlery, sharing plates, serviettes and water are all self-serviced. If you’re staying in the Perth CBD area, do check it out.

Ambience was nice and packed for a Tuesday night. Had a lovely staff member named India who had above and beyond customer service and a warm smile. I observed her checking in on other customers and just doing an overall awesome job. Thank you for making my night! I’d recommend checking out this place!

With its location right on the river front, this is a great place for a few bevies. Plenty of cold beers on tap, wine and spirits too. We ordered pizzas for dinner and our party of 30 was well fed. Great times!

Me and a friend stopped for weekend midday bite and drink. It was very quiet but full of atmosphere in the main bar. Great decor. We had a nice seat outside. The cocktails were well made with a good menu. The staff were really good at making them. The food arrived really soon after ordering and was tasty. Highly recommend the pizza, diavolo was really good. Great place, great food and drink and all round worth a visit!

A very romantic setting, dimmed lights, intimate seating and definitely an atmosphere out of the norm. The food exceeded expectations with friendly service. We will be returning!

Food was sub par, smash burger was not smashed and felt like a pre made patty with no seasonings, pizza toppings just slid straight off, food came out quick which is great, only if food was better quality I would certainly go back.

A little underwhelming for what we were expecting. The food was less than average... Ambiance-dull Service was good.

Great vibe! We went with the set menu and really enjoyed it. The cauliflower pakora was a standout absolutely delicious. I had the barramundi with yellow curry noodles for my main. The fish was cooked perfectly, the sauce could’ve used a bit more of a kick.

Came here on a Friday afternoon with friends. Mixed crowd of people, but plenty of room in the bar. Also plenty of bar tenders, so waiting for a drink wasn’t too bad. The live music was good as well, and not to loud so you can still have a conversation. Later on in the night, a dj comes on with a good selection of music. The menu for food was good. Not the usual bar eats, but something different. I got the Mac & Cheese croquettes, and the Brussel Sprouts with Speck. They were both very tasteful and a good portion of food on each plate. My friend got the Lamb Rump, and said its was extremely good as well. The rest of the menu looks good as well. Definitely on the cards to come back here for a drink, and to eat again.

A business lunch with 5 colleagues went off beautifully, with everyone very happy with the food - The steaks being the go-to - with all positive feedback. The service was great - Attentive, frequent and accomodating. They even split the bill 6 ways! - Appreciate!!! Great venue, very good food, positive vibes and lovely staff. The $20 Pie and Mash special is back - service can be a bit hit and miss to the point that you're unsure if it's table or bar service. Nevertheless, I'm glad to see that the pie has returned for the winter months

Came for a solo lunch after I did some research for lunch offers in CBD, the steak sanga here for 20$ is worth coming back every thursday. It’s huge, the fries are crispy and juicy alltogether. The steak in the sanga was perfect, not chewy at all as sometimes steak sangas can be and you can taste the flame grill totally- a bit smoky meaty flavor. I mean perfection. Coffee was lovely too.

Our final night & meal in Perth was spent at The Stables and we were certainly impressed. Walking up the laneway entrance we soon discovered a vibe that was terrific. Live music greeted us in the courtyard bar area before we headed upstairs to the restaurant. We’d booked online and did so to avoid missing out on a Friday night - so glad we did. The wait staff were fabulous - warm & super friendly, offering great advice to first timers like us. The menu had something for everyone and we were there for some hearty protein! We settled on the lamb shoulder that came with chef’s suggested sides. I don’t know what we were thinking when we ordered the crispy squid as an entree to share as the lamb shoulder was enormous. The squid was fresh and cooked to perfection - delicate & crispy and believe me we are tough critics on squid. When the lamb arrived we were blown away as it was a very generous meal. The 1.5kg lamb shoulder on the bone was succulent & flavoursome and there wasn’t a great deal of bone so the amount of lamb was incredible. The sides of broccolini, salad and hand-cut chips were also faultless. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir for the meal and it was a beautiful match thanks to the advice of our wait staff. Yes we over-ordered, but have no regrets whatsoever. To our delight we were given a container to take the leftovers home and we did so with pride bringing them home on our flight back to Sydney! Whenever we return to Perth we’ll definitely hit The Stables again.

We had our engagement dinner in the Basement Venue. The staff were incredibly attentive and on the ball. They made it a priority to discuss the logistics of the evening and ensured we had a very smooth experience. The bar staff were great and very friendly. Food service was prompt and accurate. The plating was beautifully done and everything tasted incredible. We had such a lovely experience, the Stables staff looked after us very well throughout the evening. The only point of feedback I would have is to improve the sound system, sometimes we could barely hear the music that was playing over the speakers linked to the main restaurant. Also, accessibility could be improved but we were aware of the accessibility limitations at the time of booking. Overall a fantastic experience!

Situated just up the road from the Old Tower House, this is great to pop in before or after a service, so if you go during the day expect a bridal party. The wine list is minimal. The staff are lovely and the decor has a student vibe. It really wasn’t that enticing to want to come back to see what it is like in the evening.

Great fun, went for the cocktail lab improv show and the Irish lad is very entertaining. I really like their gin and tonic, no idea whether it is the gin used or the tonic, but makes a superior taste.

Found this hidden gem on a visit to Perth. Awesome humans, the cocktails are developed with a real passion and the nibbles are great. I definitely recommend this to anyone in the Northbridge area.

Visited here recently with a small group. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and went out of their way to look after us. Drinks were exceptional, with a very knowledgeable barman and an amazing gin selection. Frisk may well be my new favourite bar in Perth!

We came to frisk after our elopement at Old Tower House. We had organised canapés and grazing board for guests. We had 26 people and were offered the inside area. John was extremely accommodating and happy to help. The staff on the day were excellent, even indulging in us playing a song for cheeky wedding dance. Good was delicious and prompt. Ample non-alcoholic booze options for this mama to be too! Outdoor area is still close by and great for those that wanna get out there! All round great experience - made our day super chill 💖 so convenient being so close to the registry!

After having a few birthday events at Frisk in the past, I couldn’t think of a better place to host my sister’s hens party! Whilst we arrived after Jon had left for the evening, he had taken care of everything in advance and had his absolutely lovely team take care of us - they were so so accommodating and made us feel so welcome. Jon came up with a themed cocktail just for the night (I would die to drink that again) and the music was perfect for the theme too. Definitely recommend Frisk for hosting a chill but fun get together out of the way of the busy clubbing area!

Just a perfect bar! Its small and there is a boat inside what more could you want. Well they have food and tommys margaritas and rum. To cap it all off Sunshine Brothers were on stage. Sensational, love it team 💜

Saturday lunch with foodie friends over from Melbourne. We shared everything. Olives weren’t that special but everything was excellent. Really knowledgeable server who shared a passion for food. Highly recommend the crab risotto and mushroom pasta. Both outstanding.

Oh wow what a special place. We ate and sipped here multiple times over a multi day stay in Perth, we couldn’t keep away. The proprietor Tom is a real sweetheart, and among his wonderful staff, the wonderful natural wines, and delicious food, they pour Swan Draught on tap, which to me equals absolute perfection. A quality place to loosen your collar, lean in and be guided by the vibe.

best food my partner and i have had in a while. we ordered some entrees and mains to share - definitely order the beans and beef carpaccio (we wished we ordered another serve!) we were in for dinner on a thursday, the restaurant’s ambience was perfect; not too busy, cozy and intimate. everyone that served us were attentive and lovely so + 10 points for that. we will be coming back.

As a chef I’d say this is the best place I’ve eaten since I live in Perth, really simple plates and lovely and unique flavours, no need to be complicated when u cook, and these people understood it completely. Wine selection is on point but could be a bit wider, lovely staff and place. Suggested

I honestly never leave reviews but I’d kick myself if I didn’t leave one for Powells. This has got to be one of the best customer service/cute/yummy/catering to everyone’s needs, hospitality/restaurant/wine bar venue I have ever been. I looked up “wine bars Perth” a month ago to book for my birthday, I had never been here but saw amazing reviews and thought it looked super cute so I booked ! I had 14 people with me, didn’t know it was a smaller place and yet they catered for us so well. The gorgeous owner is who should be in business like this as you can see it is her passion. She went above and beyond for all my friends, getting gluten free crackers so one didn’t feel left out, sitting with us and talking, buying my friend a drink for an accidental spill!! Your staff were also exceptional. I would recommend this place to EVERYONE. Oh not to mention the wines were to die for!!! I work in hospitality and I feel like if I had a booking for 14 on a Thursday night I’d be stressed, you all handled yourself so well!!! I’m sorry we stayed so late but the vibes were immaculate🥰😂 You guys should be so proud of yourself, I can’t wait to come back. Thanks Powells!!

Best focaccia I’ve ever had, lovely safe, feminine environment. So nice being talked through the cheese platter in a caring way. Lovely family vibe in terms of the staff with the mother and daughter duo. Cheese platter was lovely. A tucked away little gem down the warm streets of Leederville. A tasty selection of cheeses, dips, meats and spreads for a self made charcuterie board paired with a beautiful variety of vino.

We absolutely love Powells! The perfect date spot. Highly recommend getting a cheese board (each time it’s a new selection) and some of the delicious homemade focaccia. The wine selection is great and the atmosphere is a total vibe. We will of course be back again!

Our first visit, despite being locals, and it won't be our last. Called in early on a Saturday evening, settling in with some excellent wines and 4 amazing cheeses. Oh, and did I mention the focaccia? You won't be disappointed.

Only open on a Friday evening, enter through a phone booth and you are transported to another world of lively jazz. It is byo booze and food. You can order Italian which can be delivered to you or opt to bring a picnic to share at your table. Smaller numbers, expect to be seated across people you have never met. This adds to the experience of the Cellar. The music is exceptional and you must book online in advance if you wish to grab a seat to participate in this unique and highly entertaining experience.

An amazing experience! BYO food, drink and alcohol! The band is fantastic - you wont be in your seat for long!! You enter through a phone box and the staff inside are great! $25 per person, a nearby bottleshop open till 8pm and pizza shops even deliver to your table. Fun for all ages!

Glad to find a place where we can have a nice jazzy night out like we did in Melbourne! Friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic.

This is one of the bars that my partner loves in town, and we decided to give the food menu a try. The Beef&Guinness pie which has a good presentation but it was okay. The chips on the side was drenched in salt and was inedible and we escalated to the staff and it took another hour for new serve of chips. The roasted pork belly was crunchy on the top and tender inside. Very well cooked. But it needed something else to make the dish memorable. I think we will stick to the drinks next time.

Spicy smoked chicken & cheese sausage; looks unassuming, even slightly boring. But Oh my! It was amazing, had a great snap to the casing, smokey and spicy with not only cheese on top but cheese injected into it! Smoked Mackerel Pie; I had serious food envy! I had the pie which was incredibly buttery and rich with flaky, buttery mackerel. But I did find the dill slightly too much for me and I would of liked the mash a little more seasoned. I wish I had of chosen the Potato & Raclette pie which is so photogenic! Don’t get me wrong, it was a damn good pie, I just think it wasn’t quite right for me. The staff were relaxed and helpful which gave the venue a lovely vibe.

We visited Edward & Ida’s for Father’s Day and had an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish! Even though we arrived 20 minutes late for our booking, the staff were incredibly understanding, kind, and accommodating, no fuss, just warmth and professionalism. We ordered 3 Sunday roast platters for 6 people (the website recommends one platter for two, but each platter could easily feed 3 to 4 people, insane value for money). As my family doesn’t eat pork, I simply mentioned we’d like our platters without sausages or bacon, no replacements needed. Without asking why, the team not only respected our request but went above and beyond: they brought us extra chicken, a bowl of chips, and a delicious fried breaded chicken and mushroom dish (which was amazing). They also reassured us that none of our food contained pork and even talked us through the ingredients. Now for the food, every element was flawless: -The slow-smoked beef brisket was so tender and flavourful that it made a beef-sceptic in our group rethink their stance. -The beef fat Yorkshire puddings were clearly homemade and delicious. -The rich Guinness-spiked gravy was so good we wished there was more! -The roasted cauliflower, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly. -The mustard mash was simple but expertly made, my Irish dad couldn’t stop eating it! -The smoked and roasted chicken was juicy and flavourful through and through. -We also tried the lemon lime bitters, refreshing, not too sweet, with a fresh lime. We ended up ordering more because everyone loved them, and the bartender clearly put care into every glass. The staff were attentive, friendly, and struck the perfect balance, there when we needed them but never intrusive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with great music and impeccably clean facilities (the women in our group especially appreciated the spotless restrooms). Outstanding food, incredible value, and service that goes the extra mile. We can’t wait to return! Highly recommend Edward & Ida’s.

I recently stopped by Hadiqa for a quick lunch, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The ambiance is welcoming and relaxed, making it a great spot for a casual meal. The food was the highlight, without a doubt. The dishes were beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The crispy, well-seasoned kibbeh with a touch of fresh herbs on top was a standout starter. The skewers were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with just the right amount of seasoning and a drizzle of creamy sauce that brought everything together. The yogurt with a crunchy topping of nuts and spices was the perfect complement to the warm, freshly baked bread, which was simply irresistible. The service was quick and friendly, making it an ideal place to enjoy a meal even if you’re pressed for time. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch at Hadiqa and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying dining experience in the area.

📅 We managed to get a table for 2 without booking ahead, which can be difficult on a Saturday night. Even though the low tables are a bit hard to eat, they were still comfy. 👑 Great friendly service by all the staff! I think good customer service is hard to come across these days, so this was very appreciated. We got the mezze platter to start with - Great tasting dips, but would have loved more bread 🍞 🥣 Lamb shawarma was nice, slow cooked and meat was tender. Although more of the pita bread would have been great as the meat ratio was a bit much. 🍹The selection of Non-alcoholic beverages were fantastic.

Not often do you find a place that exceed expectations these days. Hadiqa is a rare find; great venue, impeccable service and very good food. Between two of us we had 8 dishes. The desserts are amazing. Perhaps the least enjoyable were the falafel balls as they were a bit dry. Everything else was on point. The cocktails are lovely.

Hadiqa offers a new menu featuring bold flavours drawing from Mediterranean, Greek and Moroccan cuisine. The service here is like none other with each dish introduced and explained in a well manner. The attentive staff here plays a big part in the whole dining experience. Each dish was delicious and unique in its own way. Highly recommend this spot for dinner as the ambience here is cozy and warm.

The waitstaff tonight really elevated the experience! Sam (lady) and Sebastian were both excellent and fully of energy! The food here is always delicious, we had the half chicken (it's massive), octopus, lamb tagine, rice, fried cauliflower, bread & dips. Yum! Bonus: it is very well air-conditioned in the restaurant, perfect for escaping summer heat ;)

14/6/23: we came out for a family dinner before we all heading overseas on separate ways. The atmosphere was great, we had happy hour drinks and chose a selection of starters n mains! All the food was amazing. The half chicken was a classic! So was the eggplant n homus. Overall a 9/10 experience

I’ve walked past this place heaps since it’s just around the corner from home, but only checked it out for the first time last week — and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s got a really laid-back vibe, and the little courtyard out the back is a great spot to sit, relax, and watch the world go by. The wine list was solid with a few nice surprises, and the atmosphere was just right — not too loud, not too quiet. I had the steak sandwich and it was seriously good, way better than I expected. Definitely planning to head back soon. Great little local spot I should’ve tried sooner.

This place was one of our favourites for a long time, but unfortunately the staff here are just the least hospitable people ever. The rude attitudes when asking after drinks or food they’ve forgotten (which is a consistent experience here lately) really puts a damper on the entire experience. Honestly, if the staff weren’t so busy chatting to mates or drinking behind the bar this venue would be a lot better

Stumbled across this place when I visited Perth recently. Warm, cozy and great vibes. Fireplaces roaring, cocktails were great and arguably the best meal I had in Freo. Bangers and mash, who would’ve thought. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would recommend.

Never thought I would say this, but I had THE WORST service ever in this bar. Bartender forgot our drinks, served a large group of 6 that ordered AFTER us first, was EXTREMELY aggressive when I came to check on the drinks. Drinks came out after incredibly long wait and one glass was 30% filled, another one 70% filled. After highlighting the issue he looks you dead in the eye and says drinks are fine. Absolutely ruined our night. On top of that, drinks were below average quality as well.

Feels like stepping into the hull of a pirate ship, complete with wooden decor and peanut shells on the floor - almost theme park-like. It’s a small space that fills up quickly. The menu includes a few barrel-aged options using fairly mainstream spirits. The Negroni was enjoyable but leaned a bit sweet and watered down. The Old Fashioned had a good blend, though could have used a bolder rum. Overall, a fun vibe with friendly staff - great for a casual drink.

Really awesome service from every server, loved the ambience and the live jazz band. It’s a cool and effortlessly walk in chic wine bar with a beautiful relaxed atmosphere. The food is delicious with a good selection of pretty much everything, and the service is so warm and attentive without being over the top. Went on a Thursday and the live jazz added a really nice touch think laid-back, soulful, and just the right vibe. Had a genuinely great time here. Highly recommend for a mid-week, after work night out that’s both classy and easygoing!

I only discovered Tom’s on Beaufort Street yesterday. Was meeting a friend for coffee. Was instantly amazed as I came through the door. Beautifully setup. Great choice of products to take home, including a select number of wines, lunches items and delicious coffee. My only regret was that there wasn’t a larger size of coffee. I was longing for a mug. ☕️ I’ll back with wife soon. Really liked the whole wine.

Been wanting to try this place for a while, I have to say everything we had is amazing, especially the double smoked chorizo! It’s a must order, highly recommended, thanks me later! Seriously the best I ever had! Also the Focaccia toastie is very nice too, we also ordered the lasagna, it came with 2 salads of your choice. Staffs are very friendly, and very helpful, especially the girl who served us, you are a star if you are looking at the review. We thought we are full, but can’t help ourselves, shared a piece of cheese cake at the end, omg, so silky smooth! Perfect ending. This is not the end, we also take away 2 kinds of cheese and crackers home, can’t wait to try.

Toms Providore is a fun place for lunch, after work drinks etc. surprise not open Sundays. Seating outside with a view of the Brisbane hotel & a park. Fabulous lighting, great gourmet grocery set up with shelving & fridges full of gourmet cheese, cuts etc. wine list was good but the pour size for price is harsh. I was on my own & my rose for $16 was seriously 5 mouthfuls. We all know the GP made on alcohol & I feel they need to review the pour. Grazing plates are so delicious & the staff are friendly & accommodating. Can get rowdy inside due to the flooring & high ceiling but that just makes for atmosphere. Great place & I look forward to heading back soon.

FUN and surprisingly good pizza, the lasagne spring rolls were also a winner! We went with two massive fuss pots and they smashed the pizza and chips, two happy little clams. Why we loved it is because the games are all only $1 or $2 for the pinball machines so whether you’re a family or a group of mates, that’s a lot of bang for your buck!! We will be back!

Organised a work drinks here last week and the palace arcade staff were so helpful with sorting out prepayments for game cards & food. The duo who served us on Wednesday night were so lovely, attentive and ensured our food was ready.

No old school Star Trek NG pinball machine was disappointing but they made up for it with an ACDC and Beatles machines. The volume on those machines could have been louder though. Daytona Racing brought back serious memories so a fun time was had by all

Was extremely fun! They have an open bar, with a plethora of arcade games. Ranging from the pinball machines to Mrs. PacMan. Their pizza was top notch, tasted exquisite. I was at universal bar tonight (4th October), we were enjoying the live music until my gay friend was pulled off the dance floor by security and told he has to put to jumper back on because he was wearing a tank top. When we pointed out the various other males and females in the bar wearing sleeveless shirts we were asked to leave. I'm very disappointed as we were having a great time before this happened, and thought universal was a much excepting bar than this. Would never return because of this interaction.

This place hosted our social Halloween Party again, and they didn't disappoint! They decorated, they dressed up and they cooperated with us throughout the night. The staff were absolutely amazing and deserve a medal for their hard work!!

This place was so cute, had a lot of great decor with a wonderland theme with some other Disney movie vibe. The food was really good we got chicken tenders and chips and they got different. Some drinks were themed and tasted really unique. The toilets also had some lovely artwork. I would definitely come again !

Nice little bar with good drinks and a bartender that really could have done with more than one colleague on a Saturday night. It’s table service, having the bartender make the drinks and serve them is tremendously inefficient and a little unfair on the guy. I was a little disappointed as the description of the bar made it seem like a nice cosy themed cocktail bar but it was closer to a standard bar that had a few nice cocktails. There’s no person to welcome you, just wander in, find a table and scan the QR code. The only interaction you have with the staff is when the drinks come to the table. If this is the way they want to go (which is perfectly fine, I don’t like talking to people either) maybe at least have someone saying hello, scan the QR code at the table, goodbye. Failing that a sign at the door to say welcome find a seat, QR code. Currently the only interaction with staff is the bouncer bidding farewell. As for the drinks, while nice there wasn’t a lot on the menu in regards to signatures that are worth a second visit. Don’t get me wrong the drinks were nice and the food looked good but I had something else in mind from the online presence.

The cocktail masterclass is a MUST DO for you and your friend group for a celebration or just for fun!! Absolutely blown away by this experience! We had the entire of Wolf Lane closed to all but ourselves for 2 hours! We were each given a drink on arrival and had huge grazing platters to enjoy throughout. We had the genuinely passionate cocktail genius Matt guide us through making two different cocktails. It was hilarious seeing everyone channel their inner mixologist and then comparing final results. We then got to sip our cocktails and pick Matt's very knowledgeable brain about all things alcohol. We all had the BEST time. Cannot recommend this highly enough. The low cost for such an incredible experience is actually mind boggling. If you haven't booked this yet, do it! Do it now!!

Went here for the first time yesterday and enjoyed every single aspect! The restaurant is so peaceful with the calming forest green walls and wood furniture, and the ambient dim lighting. The service was really friendly, greeting us enthusiastically at the door and checking up on us regularly whilst we ate our food. And the food of course was absolutely delicious! Ordered the chicken burger, crispy potatoes and the cyclone cocktail, and my friend ordered the seasonal pasta and red dahlia cocktail. Loved the freshness and fruitiness of the cocktail - I was sipping on it like it was juice, lol! But I think my favourite food had to be the potatoes because of the seasoning that I just cannot get enough of! Also appreciated the many food labels on the menu, specifically the labelling of the nut free dishes as I have an allergy. Can’t wait to go back!

The service was exceptional, If you're looking for the perfect spot for a Friday night drink in the CBD, this is it. The best Hennessy Pineapple I had in Perth, and the Ceylon Arrack with Grapefruit Soda... both were absolute standouts! Fresh, unique flavours that you don’t come across everywhere. They’ve definitely mastered their cocktail game. The food bites were just as impressive. Will be a regular spot for sure!

I tried a few of their signature drinks, and each one was expertly crafted and delicious. And then there was the food - oh, the food! I had the lamb skewers, and they were absolutely divine. Cooked to perfection, flavorful, and tender... I could go on! Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with Terrarium Bar. The atmosphere was lively and chic, the staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and the food and drinks were exceptional. Xander and the team have got it spot on! Absolutely phenomenal service and atmosphere, the Terrarium was out first cocktail bar experience, and we were met with such kindness and knowledge from Xander and his fellow staff to make us tailor made drinks that suited our tastes! Mum and I love Vincent’s! We come here every couple of weeks for a arvo catch up mother daughter time. We get gin and tonics, oysters and share plates. We absolutely love it. So nice sitting outdoors when it’s sunny and even rainy with the plastic curtain coming down keeps the area nice and snug. Food is always so good, some stand outs have been the pork belly, chicken & any main fish dish. Crispy potatoes with the sauce always crunchy and yum. Oysters always delicious and creamy and presented so well. It just has a really good vibe for us and always busy on a Saturday arvo! Staff always lovely and greet us at the door and say goodbye when we leave which I think is a so lovely. We always walk away excited for our next mother daughter catch up

volare is a fantastic addition to our local neighborhood! While it might not *quite* be the 'Swallow' – an institution truly hard to match – Volare nonetheless holds its own as a genuine gem. This place has been the backdrop to most of my better decisions… and a few questionable ones, too. But the food? The Drinks? Never questionable. Not once. We let Marcello take the reins last night, and if you want the full Volare experience, you’d be a fool not to do the same. This isn’t some precious, over-styled tasting menu. It’s a no-bullshit showcase of everything this kitchen does best. The cured meats come out swinging… salty, fatty, gone before you know it. The olives hit sharp, cutting through like they’ve got something to prove. Every dish lands with confidence. You can tell these guys have high standards and only use the best quality ingredients. They also have a good variety of drinks reasonably priced during happy hour between 4-6, including 20% of wine bottles.

Sooo good! My partner and I went for our anniversary and Volare didn’t disappoint. We went with the chefs special and loved it all. Highlights were the Brie toast and steak. I think I found my happy place honestly. Came on a Thursday night and to begin with was on my own, I ordered a negroni from the very friendly young bartender and took it upstairs and sat overlooking the turntables and bar. The lighting and sound was pitch perfect. I just sat and felt at one with myself, the music and the environment. The negroni was outstanding. I just loved this place and cannot wait to return again. Friends came along a little later and all loved it as well. We sat and the conversation just flowed in the chilled atmosphere.

If I ventured in the slipstream, between the viaduct of your dreams…i might eventually find this superb cocktail bar hidden in depths of Perth’s Chinatown. We walked past it twice before finding it…but it was the last stop on the Cocktail Trail of Doom. Fabulous atmosphere, great cocktails, very friendly staff. They didn’t mind at all about having a couple of geriatrics crowding the end of the bar!

At approximately 8:50 pm, I approached the counter to purchase a drink. The staff member informed me that the business was “quite quiet” and that she would be closing in 10 minutes, despite your website stating that closing time is 10:00 pm. At that time, there were still about seven customers in the bar. A few minutes later, I observed a group of four people entering, and the same staff member served them drinks. About five minutes after that, another customer approached for her second drink and was refused service, even though she did not appear intoxicated. Ten minutes later, I saw the staff member serve alcohol to a customer who had been seated at the bar counter the whole time. This inconsistent approach to service left me confused and dissatisfied.

I honestly thought I wouldn't enjoy my birthday celebration at Sweetwater Rooftop, especially since we wanted to be seated outside but were booked indoors — and with an advance payment required before we even ate, which felt a bit odd at first. But we respected the policy and gave it a go. What truly turned the lunch event around was the exceptional service from a lovely young lady named **Sara**. Her warm smile, professional manner, and gentle demeanor immediately lifted my mood. She kindly took our photos without hesitation and made us feel welcome and cared for. Her positive energy really made a difference and turned my birthday into a memorable celebration. While our interaction with Mia felt a bit distant and less friendly, Sara more than made up for it with her genuine hospitality. Thank you, **Sara**, for making my birthday special, and thank you, **Sweetwater Rooftop**, for the great food, beautiful ambience, and for hiring such a gem of an employee. Asian Fusion High Tea with T2 Tea & Bottomless Cocktails This high tea was a perfect blend of indulgence and elegance! The menu offered a delicious mix of both savoury and sweet options, with the dumplings and Portuguese tart being absolute standouts. The green rose tea was a fragrant favourite, while the Singapore breakfast tea impressed with its lovely pandan flavour. For those who enjoy a boozy twist, the bottomless cocktail option added a fun, celebratory touch. The ambience was just as lovely adorned with varieties of flowers throughout, making it a chic and inviting spot for a girls' catch-up. A truly memorable experience—great food, beautiful setting, and perfect for a special occasion!

It was such a beautiful dining experience here for our Anniversary. The food was delicious and authentic 😋 and the service was impeccable by the staff. Beautiful dinner experience at Sweetwater Rooftop Bar. The drinks and food were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere and vibe was lovely, it had something for everyone with the different seating areas and decor. We were served by Tyra who was beyond amazing, the best service I have had at a restaurant. Tyra was attentive and made sure we had everything before we could even ask which made the dinner experience its very best.

Warmly welcomed by our host Tyra who looked after us so well, making sure my sister from the UK was made to feel extra special. The food was fabulous could not fault any of the starters, mains, deserts, drinks etc .. Thank you so much and look forward to returning.

I hadn’t been here in at least 5–10 years (if it’s even been open that long!), and my two visits couldn’t have been more different. Last time was a packed evening, this time a quiet Monday afternoon. How great to find somewhere open on a Monday! It really is such a beautiful venue. I was thrilled to see non-alcoholic cocktails on the menu (not just mocktails!) and ordered the margarita. It was fine, though not amazing, so I followed up with an alcoholic amaretto sour. They were happy to make it “up” in a coupe glass instead of over ice in a short glass, which I really appreciated. We shared the baked brie to start. It was okay, which made me a bit nervous about the mains. Thankfully, the mains were excellent. We had the ribeye, the potato, the asparagus, and the beetroot risotto with goat’s cheese, all delicious. Service was lovely overall, though it would’ve been great to know a dish was unavailable before we spent 20 minutes deciding on it 😆 I also love the variety of seating (booths, high tables by the window, and standard tables) and the extensive wine list. I especially appreciate that the cocktail menu is organised by how they’re served (high, low, or up). Cocktails are more than just their ingredients! 🫶🏻

Have been a number of times. Last couple of experiences have been average. - Service quite slow, despite being relatively empty. Food brought out at different times. Friends had finished their mains before mine arrived. - Risotto was bland. Crispy leek had an unappealing texture. Other dishes were good.

The ambience here is beautiful, stylish and perfect for a relaxed evening out. We shared a few dishes and they were all really nice, fresh, and well presented. Service was friendly and unhurried, which suited the vibe. Overall, a really nice spot for good food, wine, and conversation.

Points go to Massimo's service: I was a guest staying at the Alex and while generally not someone that enjoys wine, decided to go with the wind on this occasion. I'm happy to say Massimo's wine recommendation was stellar and that I am now looking to buy this wine to enjoy with family and friends. Points also go towards the brooding design and atmosphere of Shadow. Food-wise, the oysters were ok, the scallop was actually great but the real let down was the prawn dish. The bisque was watery and flavourless and the prawns a tad tough. The asparagus dish was also just ok, though "scorched", there was not much of a smoky flavor. (I suppose the allure of char is also in the contribution of smokiness which I felt was missing from this dish.) For the price and promise of such a beautifully designed space and fantastic staff, an improvement in the food would definitely lift Shadow's game.

Went here for a girls' night and had a fantastic experience! They have an impressive selection of wines, and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. Snapper Crudo – 10/10 This was the highlight of the night for me! Incredibly fresh and flavorful. Oyster Mignonette – 10/10 Absolutely delicious — I could’ve easily eaten a dozen! There’s such a wide variety of wines to choose from. My friend ordered the Mondeuse Noire, which paired beautifully with the Chef’s Table experience. Highly recommend for a relaxed night out with quality food and wine!

What a delight! Dark, moody and classy. The food was phenomenal, the wine list superb, and the service was intimate and personal despite the large number of covers on the Wednesday night we visited.

Staying at Alex hotel we had two great evenings here. Wonderful wine list, knowledgeable service and delicious food. The crab pasta was a hit as were the shark bay scallops. The charcuterie was very good but would love more variety in the cheese selection.

You can be forgiven if you walk passed looking for this place because it is fronted by commercial washing machines and dryers - all fake of course but a quick glance will have you walking by. Open the door into a room with subdued lighting, bar on one side small tables on the other. Up some stairs to the rooftop which has heaters to a bar with hi tables along the walls and a couple of booths and a bar. Order at the bar and food is delivered via a dumbwaiter from downstairs. When your busy goes off, collect your food at the bar. This too has subdued lighting but not so dark you can't see anything. Service is good and atmosphere is warm, intimate. The Asian fusion food we had was absolutely lovely and we'll be going back. I recommend it if you're looking for an intimate dinner or with a small crowd.

Went to Lucky Chans for the first time recently and it was an incredible experience for sure. The food and dessert were delicious and came out quick. The croquettes were our highlight— can eat about 50 of those 🤤 The alcoholic bubble teas were not that good. The staff were professional and looked after us well. The atmosphere was noisy as it was quite busy, but the ambience and vibe made it worth while. Will definitely be visiting again!

What a great place. Was walk in for dinner. Busy but accommodating. Great service and food was amazing. Flavoursome and good portions etc Compact menu but good variety, definitely go back and check out rest of menu and rooftop bar. Bao bun selection wa amazing.

Dinner was unfortunately quite disappointing. Despite the interesting decor and cool entry through the laundromat, the food was at best mediocre, and super overpriced. Everything was too sweet, and lacked any other flavour. We ordered the miso pasta which was $29! Honestly, 3-min noodles have more taste than this. It was pasta with some grated carrot, spinach and a bit of mushroom. When we asked why there was no miso, they brought us a bowl of miso butter to add, which is not acceptable when you are paying $29 for a dish. Mocktails were decent. Won’t be back.

Cute Asian fusion restaurant with such cool vibes, enjoyed the laundromat decor. Service was pretty good too. Impressed by the various veg options, I really liked the pulled jackfruit dumplings :)

Guys, the new restaurant menu is amazing, I tried 03 dishes and I loved them all, well presented, tasty food, everything was perfect! The only point that needs improvement is: I spent many minutes (about 20 minutes) at the door waiting for the staff to meet us at the door. I believe you need an exclusive person just for this service, to reduce the waiting time at the restaurant door.

Absolutely perfect. Venue - spotless & comfy. It was a cold, wet, winter day and yet both inside and outside were warm and welcoming. Staff - friendly, knowledgeable, approachable, accommodating, and welcoming. Food - delicious & exactly as described. Prices - on point for Fremantle. Drinks - delicious and a great range. Atmosphere - amazing. Especially when the live musicians started and we got to enjoy their "jazz". 100% will be back.

I swung by on a rainy Wednesday night upon recommendation from a local friend It’s a decent place — it’s quaint, quiet spot with parking, local beers on tap, and I like their concept of guest beers on tap. Food — also good, nice warm olives and toasted bread with honey drizzle. Drinks — they make their own liqueurs a la Campari which looks really good! Service — oh dear lord! There were 3 people, two of which were so lovely until one of the unfriendliness bar person — someone mentioned “wench” below — came out to play. The whole vibe shifted. I’m visiting from interstate and have been trying a few local beers and ginger beers and I was asking about the two beers and how they compared, to which she responded — rudely “every drink is different — d’oh! — you just have to try it yourself” referring to the unopened can. She had a sour face with us all evening, and we didn’t try the other drinks. Seating: she seems annoyed that we’re seated where she makes cocktails (see below— those ice glasses aren’t our drinks). She also kept pushing our food, as we were eating’. We would have been fine to move if asked. Or simply, reserve this area. This attitude is a real shame in hospitality and wouldn’t return. The others were lovely prior.

Typical trendy bar with beautiful people and lovely food and drinks. Pretty standard stuff. The 5 stars are for the lovely young barman who dropped a bottle of chilled water on our table with some glasses. Nice touch, sobered us up, prolonged our visit. Great service, quite old fashioned in a good way. Edit: chatted to the young man - Alex. What a guy 😍

We went to a tasting of beers from District Brewing on Wednesday night. The event was well run, informative and showcased a local small scale producer. All staff involved in the event were extremely helpful. The event provide an opportunity to engage with the brewer and sample some food from the venue. We will definitely be back to try more menu options and can hopefully attend another event which is showcasing local producers.

I came here last year for my work xmas function and I really enjoyed it. Everyone seemed to really enjoy it too. Firstly the location was just beautiful. Beautiful view of the river, Elizabeth Quay and the city skyline. I can only imagine how beautiful it would look at night time. The weather was really hot on that day, but thankfully they had setup those outdoor mist sprayers so that really helped. The food we had were quite good too...though some were a bit too salty. But the pizzas and the desserts were very delicious. What really stood out was the impeccable service by the barmen. They're all so friendly and always smiling.

Perfect location with an amazing view. We had dinner at Low Kee and WOW — the gnocchi and the scotch fillet were unreal. They also have a “Feed Me” option which we’ll definitely try next time. After dinner, we headed up to the rooftop for cocktails. Such a great vibe and the perfect way to end the night. Highly recommend!

While the venue is great, the food is frankly terrible. I had the steak sandwich special shown in the photo and while the sandwich does look exactly like that, it was a total disappoint for the following reasons: - The meat was super dry , overcooked, hard and tasteless. I bet they cooked it ahead of time and just heated it up when I ordered. I expected a tasty medium rare soft piece of meat. - The bun is of a soft type (similar to a Hamburger) and I was expecting a nice fresh crunchy baguette or European or sourdough bread. - The fries are the reconstituted type (made of pure or mashed potatoes) instead of real sliced potatoes. In short, I would never have lunch at that venue ever again. The fairly empty venue suggests I am not the only one reaching that conclusion. Sadly as the place is very nice.

Beautiful restaurant on the waterfront. Multiple levels with great views. Food was lovely and reasonably priced.

I had my 21st birthday here on a Friday night! I had organised all the details with The Reveleys function coordinator prior to the night. Food was sorted and drinks tab was organised. All the staff were very kind and attentive to our group and to our table. We had a group of 39. They let us know when the tab was running low or when anything was happening with food. It’s a lovely view of Elizabeth quay and they had heaters out since it was cold. The environment was really nice and even people outside our function were having a good time. I want to thank the staff for our great night at The Reveley!!

One of my favourite venues in Perth! Visited recently, we had dinner in the restaurant and then we headed upstairs to the rooftop bar for a few cocktails. The food was divine, the cocktails were super tasty and the vibe was exactly what we were looking for.. good atmosphere with an absolute stunning view over the water. Highly recommend.

We recently held our engagement party at The Reveley and the venue and staff were amazing! Everyone was very helpful and kind. They really made the night so special for us! They were very accommodating with dietary requests and communicated with us throughout the night. I would highly recommend The Reveley for any event you have coming up!
