Beautiful resort, would definitely come back! We went all inclusive and was really pleased that there weren’t surprise add ons which you find at lots of hotels. The dancers and entertainers were great, they worked very hard to put on great shows. The room, pools, restaurants and staff were all fantastic - lots of pool bar service and places to get drinks. The Greek restaurant in particular was great for lunch, amazing salads and seafood as you’d expect. The app makes it easy to order room service but it was a bit complicated to book the restaurants and spa so that was easier to do with the concierge.

We had the absolute pleasure of spending our vacation here for two weeks. An advertisement that reached me via Instagram caught my attention. To sum it up in advance: it was fantastic... this is the perfect place to spend your vacation, switch off, and relax. First and foremost: the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. It wasn't fake or forced; almost everyone lived it. An absolutely great facility. Very clean, tasteful, spacious, great rooms. The food was very good, on par with a 5-star rating. The buffet was extensive, varied, and very good. The separate à la carte restaurants are also worth trying, offering a slight upgrade. The pool area is very stylish and one of the most beautiful I have seen so far... Small wishes: Everything is designed for a week's stay, then it repeats itself. And a few more sun loungers, perhaps permanently assigned to the rooms... Otherwise: pretty much perfect,🤩 worth repeating. My special thanks: Ladi, Michael, and Anastasia....

Stella Island was a wonderful relaxing stop during our Greece trip. The all inclusive food was outstanding, best desserts I’ve ever had. The room was beautiful and the entire resort was very luxurious. The reason I gave 4 stars is that the water areas were cold (October, air temp 72 F) so we didn’t do much swimming and they had very minimal activities. Most of our time was spent eating or lying in the Sun.

Our journey to our rooms was made convenient by a golf cart, and we were immediately captivated by the suite’s impeccable cleanliness and inviting ambiance. The balcony overlooking the pool was simply breathtaking, offering a stunning view that enhanced our stay. The beds were spotless and incredibly comfortable, while the expansive shower provided a rejuvenating experience. We are already planning our return for a longer and more extended visit in the future.

My husband and I visited this past week and it was an absolute dream honeymoon! We booked the honeymoon package, "Everlasting Love" and the service was above and beyond. Stefania from Oceana, as well as the chefs who prepared our courses, delivered an unforgettable experience during our private dinner. The attention to detail was unmatched, their plating style was art, and we LOVED the ambiance. Every interaction with the staff was elite and professional, and we had the most fun week. We loved that it wasn't too crowded, and we were able to enjoy every single amenity. Our room was spectacular!! The overwater bungalow with jacuzzi is worth the splurge if you can swing it. Hoping to come back for a babymoon some day. We left saying how we will return to this resort as much as we can in our lifetime. That speaks volumes.

I truly don’t know where to begin. Stella Island absolutely lives up to the hype! We stayed here for a girls’ trip to celebrate a birthday, and everything from start to finish was exceptional. Before our arrival, I reached out to the staff to help decorate the birthday girl’s room, and they executed it perfectly. Even to the point of helping to keep her distracted so we could sneak the presents into her room. From the beautiful flowers and thoughtful decorations to the delicious cake she absolutely loved it! The level of care and attention to detail, even before we checked in, was so refreshing and meant a lot to us. The resort itself is stunning and there’s plenty to do to keep you entertained. The check-in process is thorough, and while there's a lot of information, it helps you get the most out of your stay. A special shoutout to our golf cart driver, George he was fantastic and made getting around the resort so easy and enjoyable. This trip was so amazing that the birthday girl now wants to celebrate her birthday at Stella Island every year and trust me, she has high standards! Huge thanks to all the staff for making our stay unforgettable. You truly make a difference in the lives of your guests, even if you don’t always see it. Keep up the amazing work!

This hotel is simply amazing. This is our second visit and I hope not our last and we are loving our last few days here. The hotel is just so well managed and the staff are simply incredible and so friendly and accommodating. This makes such a difference. The rooms and facilities are superb and the food is really excellent and beautifully prepared and served. Big thanks again to everyone at Daios for making our stay such a happy one.

Absolutely amazing! A dream! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, sparkling clean with constant attention from the staff. The staff is super polite and warm and ready to help with anything and the beach, beautiful! Great restaurants, too and excellent quality and spread at the buffet- especially breakfast! Would recommend 100%!

A fantastic resort! We thought we were in the White Lotus! They really went out of their way to make my wife and I special for our honeymoon. The golf carts are great. Everyone is in a good mood and greets you with a smile. This is a very family friendly resort, something that we didn’t know or realize the magnitude of. If you visit don’t be surprised by the children - you have been warned. That being said, the resort does offer adults only dining rooms and pool areas.

Cozy and quite hotel… Very tasty food… Sun near pool hiding 16:45. Good and high quality shampagne and another, but they dont have sambuca. Not comfortable stairs, funiculiere slow… Nice sand in the beach. Service good… nice staff… If you drink alcohol i recomend book all inclusive. Then you can take every day 2 bottles of alcohol to the room, and not limited soft drinks.

Daios Cove is a wonderful place. The hotel is beautiful and everything looks perfect. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and well trained – they really do everything to make guests feel special. They are also amazing with children: always smiling, patient, and kind. Our kids felt very welcome and happy here. The food is delicious, the views are amazing, and the whole place is peaceful and relaxing. We really enjoy our time here and will definitely come back again.

We have just returned from an amazing 7-night stay at Mitsis Rinela in Crete and I honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough. From the moment we arrived the service was outstanding. A very special mention must go to Ioanna on the front reception. She was truly exceptional – caring, kind and so friendly. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her and she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. In the Greek Taverna the restaurant manager was absolutely incredible (I wish I could remember his name!). He made our experience unforgettable greeting us with the warmest hug every time we visited and looking after us so well. His hospitality and genuine kindness made us feel so welcome. Maria who worked in the Taverna at breakfast was also wonderful – always kind and friendly while making the most amazing omelettes. We had many laughs with her and she really set us up for the day. The Italian restaurant was another highlight. The restaurant manager there (again I sadly can’t recall her name) was fantastic – attentive, professional and always smiling. The food in the Italian restaurant was outstanding and one of the best meals of the holiday. My favourite time of day however was at the beach bar. The team there were simply brilliant. George and Manos working behind the bar were outstanding – always cheerful, remembering our names and even our drinks. Every time my glass was nearly empty another one would be poured without me needing to ask. That to me is second-to-none service. On the beach itself Lefteris and the waiting staff were all fantastic but the real standout was Sofia. She is such a wonderful young lady – happy, bubbly and so caring. Every morning she would give me a big hug and ask how I was doing which was just lovely and made me feel so welcome. As Mentor level within the Mitsis Club we were upgraded to beautiful sea-view rooms and had complimentary room service which we enjoyed a couple of evenings while sitting on the balcony listening to the waves – such a perfect way to relax. Everywhere we went the hotel was spotless the food was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The only small disappointment was during a wine-tasting evening. While the staff themselves were as always lovely we were told we had been invited by the management but the F&B Manager who attended did not introduce himself which felt a little impersonal. That aside everything else was faultless. This is by far one of the best Mitsis hotels I have ever stayed in and thanks to the amazing staff who made our holiday so memorable we will absolutely be back next year!

We stayed at Mitsis Rinela at the beginning of October and had a wonderful time! Even though the pool water was a cold, there was always something to do within just a 20-minute drive in any direction, we found great places to visit and shop. We were a large group, and the hotel staff made us all feel welcome and comfortable. Special thanks to Klarisa and Dio for their warm hospitality and outstanding service they truly made our stay memorable. Highly recommended! 🌸 I also recommend booking a table in advance at the hotel’s specialty restaurants.

The Best Holiday ever! I would especially like to thank and praise George from the Italian restaurant. Such a warm-hearted and caring employee. We are absolutely thrilled and will never forget this wonderful holiday. The entire team of this resort is not just friendly because they have to be, but genuinely kind people at heart. My recommendation goes especially to the Italian restaurant and the Greek one.

The resort is beautiful itself, well kept areas, some renovated and as they say all the resort will be selection soon. A la carte restaurants were excellent,, buffet nice, plentiful drinks, good cocktails and attentive bar staff. Spa is a lovely addition. The resort combines a peaceful location near heraklion, nice surroundings and a welcoming atmosphere. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our return.

We really enjoyed this resort. The excursions were amazing and we have been on many different ones throughout the years. One bartender at the bar went above and beyond and made the trip so enjoyable. We made sure to visit him every night at the main bar. Konstantinos at the main bar at night was very attentive and always seemed to go out of his way to make our trip more memorable. We look forward to coming back to visit him and the others at the resort again.

Best hotel ever. Second time here with our family, we came with high expectations, and are not disappointed! The food is amazing, spacious rooms, great amenities, activities for the kids, the service is excellent. The spa was relaxing and fun. A dream vacation!!! We’ll definitely come again!

We had a lovely time at Creta Maris. The resort is beautiful, with a wide variety of restaurants and great service. The all-inclusive offering is generous, and the staff made our birthday celebration special with a surprise cake at dinner. We stayed in a bungalow, spacious but a bit dated. The spa is excellent, though quite pricey. The salad and juice bars were very good, but some daytime food stands felt limited, especially the fruit stand. A few small disappointments: the beach bar only serves Aperol Spritz as its alcoholic option, juice glasses in the main restaurant are tiny, and the coffee there is poor. Restaurant reservations are hard to get, almost impossible on the second night, and from the third night onward you have to book at 8 a.m. or everything is taken. The BBQ restaurant is not really a restaurant but rather another buffet presented as one, seemingly just to increase the count of restaurant options. The food at the à la carte restaurants was fine but nothing exceptional, and we unfortunately got food poisoning after dining at the fish restaurant. Also, the wine selection in the all-inclusive package is very poor compared to other resorts we have stayed at. Overall, still a pleasant vacation, but with some inconsistencies that the hotel needs to improve.

We had a lovely holiday here. As a pregnant woman I was worried about the drinks options for me but there were so many mocktails I didn't feel like I missed out. We stayed in the adult deluxe rooms. The room was clean and had everything you need. Some reviews said the rooms were rundown but that wasn't my experience at all. The adult only pool area was lovely and quiet. Sunbeds by the pool do go fairly quickly but there were always beds on the beach available all day. Food at the buffet was amazing and the adult only area was nice and relaxed. The food at the restaurants was a bit hit and miss for us and it was disappointing that most of the wines my husband requested (extra charge) weren't available but this wasnt indicated on the menu. The staff were incredible, seemed genuinely happy and really helpful. My husband said the included alcoholic drinks were great, definitely no watered down cocktails and absolutely no need to tip unlike other places we've been. The hotel grounds are gorgeous, like a traditional greek village. I would really recommend this hotel, though I can only speak of the adult only section really. I would recommend booking direct with the hotel because this worked out cheaper and they will arrange private taxi transfers to the airport for free.

We had a great stay here over the past few days. Great food, drinks, beach and vibes. We especially liked Aris at Idaia bar who made us great cocktails! The hotel is divided into different areas making it great for families with lots of activities, and couples who want their quiet areas and great drinks and music with a view. Would definitely come here again!

This is the best all inclusive resort that I’ve been at so far! The staff is super friendly and the food is very delicious! And don’t even get me started on the à la carte restaurant, EVERY SINGLE RESTAURANT HAS SUCH A DELICIOUS FOOD! There are so many amenities that honestly, I don’t think we’ve used all of them! Will definitely be coming back and recommending it to all the family friends .

Had a great family holiday, ok food, loved the seafood grill restaurant, make sure to book as soon as it opens up otherwise hard to book the A La carte restaurants. Only have 1 heated pool. The main pool in front of beach is nice but too cold to swim even the ocean is warmer. Staying there in October was nice cause it wasn’t overcrowded, but would’ve been nice if there were more heated pools to actually enjoy swimming especially for kids. We hardly left the resort during our one week stay, nice and relaxing.

I spent a week at the resort all-inclusive with my daughter. After initially being given a somewhat noisy room, we requested a quieter one, which was immediately accommodated. My daughter loved the kids' club (bookable online) and the staff there. Only very special things (i.e. special wine at dinner) were charged extra. Otherwise, all drinks and snacks were included. The food was always delicious and fresh. We particularly enjoyed the Restaurant Platia, but the buffet in the main restaurant, Enomy, was also always great. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was only one negative thing: One evening, when we wanted to have a drink at a bar, we weren't served but told the bar wasn't for children. I found that very unfriendly, especially since my daughter knows how to behave, and we certainly wouldn't have disturbed anyone on the sparsely occupied terrace. Nevertheless, we would come back one time.

We stayed at Kiani Beach Resort for 2 weeks in August. Pros: the location of the resort directly on the beach, 2 outdoor pools and sunbeds always available for all guests, even when arriving later in the morning. The beach is beautiful with clear water, perfect to enjoy the sea. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, especially members of the animation team. The quality and variety of the food is overall good. Ideal for families with children. Cons: standard all inclusive could be better when it comes to drinks. Only a few cocktails were included with all classical cocktails reserved to all inclusive plus (not even a Mojito or a Spritz were included in the standard formula). Coffee was not good from any of the many machines for standard all inclusive - only plus members could request better coffee at the bar. Soft drinks were also low quality, with no original Coca Cola or Pepsi or others. All activities finish by 22h, would be nice if the program could last at least one additional hour. Rating the service 3 as once we found a metallic small item in the food. It was very exceptional as it happened only once, bit when mentioning to the staff, nothing was done about it, not even an apology.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. The beach was sandy, the sea was crystal clear, and our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels provided. Everything was perfect, and we truly enjoyed our time here. Highly recommended!

We stayed at this hotel in Create, Kiani beach Resort, for 7 nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly generous and friendly, always making us feel welcome and comfortable. We were a group of around 40 people, gathered for my sister’s wedding, and the hotel team went above and beyond to make our stay special. They even served us champagne, which was such a thoughtful gesture that we truly appreciated. Everything from the service to the atmosphere was perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such an important occasion. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Crete – you will be treated with kindness and hospitality.

We recently stayed at Kiani Beach Hotel for a full week while attending my sister-in-law’s wedding, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Our whole family was there, six siblings with spouses and children, plus extended relatives, and the hotel handled our large group with warmth and professionalism. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable throughout the stay. They were always kind, polite, and genuinely helpful whenever we needed something. The rooms were spotless, with comfortable beds that made it easy to relax after busy days of celebrations. The hotel even made the wedding extra special: they surprised us with champagne for the hen’s do party and again on the wedding day, when we all gathered at the reception before heading to the venue. That thoughtful touch made our time there even more memorable. Overall, Kiani Beach Hotel provided the perfect mix of comfort, hospitality, and care. I’d highly recommend it to anyone planning a family gathering, celebration, or simply looking for a relaxing stay.

We spent one full week at the Kiani Resort with a one and half year old child. Since we arrived we had the feeling that the resort is really designed to fulfill the needs of families, and this was confirmed all along the staying. The superior family room (sea view) is cozy and spacious and very comfortable for adults with children, with a very functional small kitchen corner equipped with stove, tap and fridge. One of the most remarkable things has been the food: all the three restaurants available offer a great variety of different types of food, from fresh vegetables to salads, meat, fish and side dishes, and everyday something fresh from the grill, fruit and dessert. Besides these, there is the rooftop restaurant with delicious menu options (need to be reserved and has an extra fee). The resort offers a lot of outdoor activities coordinated by a group of very friendly and nice animators. Overall, all the staff (from management, receptionist, waiters, cleaning crew etc.) has been exemplary in terms of kindness and professionalism, the resort is really well taken care. I strongly recommend this resort for a family vacation!

We have had our first couple of days at Kiani Beach resort. We have a pool room and it is has the wow factor. Rooms have been cleaned with care and attention. Location is spot on, 2 big pools to choose from plush a kids splash pool. Beach is on our doorstop. 3 different to choose from as well which are clean and airy, full of choice so everyone is happy. My kids aged 8 and 11 are trying so many new foods but are particularly enjoying the pancakes for breakfast and the wood fired oven pizza. Restaurants are not busy either which I think is because there is a choice. We are eating in restaurant 3 mostly as right by our room and Spiros has been so attentive, making sure we have the drinks we need and Chef Nikos has served the most delicious meats and hot dishes. Thank you to the Team for making our holiday a great stay! A real mix of nationalities here as well which we are enjoying. I’d recommend this hotel for families. The Church Family :-)

We had a truly wonderful stay at Kiani Beach Resort! The food was consistently delicious with plenty of variety to suit all tastes, and every meal felt freshly prepared and full of flavor. From breakfast to dinner, everything exceeded our expectations. The entire experience was smooth and enjoyable, thanks to the fantastic staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. A special mention must go to Lily, who was absolutely amazing with the kids. She was warm, engaging, and incredibly patient—our children adored her! Her energy and dedication really stood out and added so much to our family’s experience. Overall, everything was excellent—great food, great atmosphere, and exceptional service. We had a wonderful all inclusive stay at the Mitsis royal Mare. The staff are extremely hard working, friendly and attentive, they really go out of their way to make sure everyone has a great time. The main restaurant has loads of options, all the food was delicious and fresh. We also really enjoyed the a la carte restaurants with our favourite being the Asian and the Italian. The cocktail menu is amazing , especially enjoyable in the rooftop bar. Two big pools to relax at during the day, with evening entertainment by the pool as well. The hotel has its own private beach, lovely clear water, be sure to pack aqua shoes as little rocky. There’s a beachside bar in too so you can enjoy refreshments at the beach. Overall we had a brilliant stay and we would definitely recommend.

First time here and was a bit apprehensive reading the mixture of reviews before we came,however we were overall very impressed. The hotel itself is lovely and check in was swift and we were taken to our room by buggy within minutes. We had upgraded to a private shared pool before arrival but never used it as water was freezing which was a shame and bit of a waste of money tbh. The room itself was fine. Had pre booked the al a carte restaurants before we came which I strongly advise to do, The food and service in these was superb,just can't understand why you can't use more than once when they were only 1/3rd full. Even offered to pay but wasn't allowed to..why??? The buffet was adequate but a bit repetitive and boring. The pool area is ok,end of season and the grass was well worn and dirty,the pool waa freezing so only the odd brave person in there! Maria was the loveliest waitress though and ensured we never went without anything. The complex is huge and if u have any mobility issues then you will struggle without tge buggy service which was a God send. The guys were really friendly and never had to wait more than 5 mins for one. The beach isn't the best as no sand but lovely setting, even though there is a restaurant there you cannot eat there unless you have pre booked for 1 of your al a carte meals which is a shame as only other alternative was a hot dog or melon out of a machine. Overall we had a good time and would possibly go back but not in peak season as I can imagine the pools and main restaurants get very busy. Would give it an overall 8/10.

We had a wonderful stay at Mitsis Royal Mare! Check-in was smooth and the staff made us feel truly welcome, even surprising us with a birthday cake and wine. The room was always clean and comfortable. Anna at Alegria was amazing always smiling and even teaching us a few Greek words. Costa at the beach was fantastic, always there to help with a big smile, and Maria at the Delfina pool bar made every visit a joy with her warmth and friendliness. Staff at the beach bar were equally welcoming. The main restaurant accommodated us perfectly, and while some dishes at Royal Palm were a bit hit or miss, overall the à la carte dining was very enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back!

Exceptional hotel and staff in the main were excellent. Had a small issue with our room but was fixed quickly without asking. That’s a first! Well done to the team. Beds were very comfortable and we had a fan in the room as well as the air conditioning. Much better to have the fan on at night as it doesn’t create that dry humidity that an aircon does. Couple of improvements that could be made are, Toilets use an extremely large amount of water, not sure if that’s the design or not. A welcome drink explaining all the areas of the hotel would be a good touch, how to book restaurant etc. Have to say that the food was exceptional. Well done to the Mitsis team

I absolutely will never fault the staff at mitsis royal mare. They are truly excellent, their level of care and attention is second to none. Attention to the cleanliness of the site is supreme apart from the cats. They walked all over prepped tables and cutlery in the restaurant shortly before people sat down to eat . My personal opinion has been it's been difficult to entertain the children here for the last week at the end of October. The pools are absolutely freezing. In fact even though the sea is cold it's warmer than the pools. I get that it's a large site. And that heating very pool is unrealistic...but c'mon...the kids club pool. It's tiny and it wouldn't cost you alot to heat it. Or put some small slides in. It could really use the investment. The mini golf is tired, broken and old and could also use some investment. The final issue is the indoor pool which was tired looking and had no entertainment for the kids there. There clearly used to be a bar there as well...what happened?

This place is amazing! The staff are excellent - always attentive and ready to help, and you couldn't ask for a warmer welcome. The food is wonderful and there are plenty of options, but if you want a la carte restaurant bookings download the app and reserve in advance. The pools are NOT heated, so prepare to brace yourself! The location is fantastic, the beach and sea are great.

Fantastic place to stay staff are very comadating! Maria at the Delphinus pool bar is exceptional , she is very friendly and is willing to go out her way for you. She always has a smile on her face. She works very hard and you can tell she loves her job. Thanks you to all the staff as they are all very friendly !

Overall it was a lovely holiday. The hotel is clean and the location is brilliant - on the beach and only 10 minutes from the old town. The sea view room was clean but basic - maybe a little dated. The bath wasn’t big enough to shower in comfortably. The food was outstanding, by far the best I have had at a European all inclusive. 3 restaurants to choose from too with lots of variety daily. The one real negative I have from this hotel is the constant hounding from the photography man. He would be outside the breakfast hall daily trying to sign us up, and would even wake us up when sunbathing to try and sell it - he really didn’t take no for an answer the entire holiday. Eventually we said we would have a photo at sunset on the beach - he said a photo would be 13€. He then paraded us around the hotel taking photos we clearly weren’t interested in. He then tried to say package deals for all photos of €649! With the lowest package being €249. He put a real dampener on our last night and I would not come back purely because of him. A shame really as all the other staff were fantastic and couldn’t have done any more for us.

We had a wonderful experience at the hotel. It may officially be a 5-star hotel, but I would rate it as 7 stars. Everything was simply perfect!!! The hotel’s look, its beachfront location, and the side pools made us feel as if we had the place all to ourselves- peaceful, pastoral, and relaxing. We were especially happy with the gluten-free food: such a wide variety, delicious and high quality. The staff’s perfect attitude made us feel cared for and truly spoiled. And the kids’ world!! That was something we had never seen before. Wow!! The amazing team, the activities, the kids’ show, the design and atmosphere- everything, absolutely everything, was outstanding. We enjoyed every single moment.

We stayed at the Aquila Rithymna Beach in August 2025 as a family of four and had a wonderful experience. We were given a spacious suite in the main building, which included two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a balcony, a roof terrace, and a comfortable living area with a sofa, tables, and a desk. The views were outstanding—the terrace overlooked the sea, while the balcony looked out over the main courtyard. It was the perfect space to relax and unwind. The housekeeping staff were outstanding—always cheerful and happy to help, nothing was ever too much trouble. We stayed on full board and were impressed with the food. There was a wide variety every day, and even as a picky eater, I never went hungry. Some people have mentioned the price of drinks, but we actually found we spent less than expected. The restaurant staff were efficient, clearing tables quickly and keeping things running smoothly. Yes, the main restaurant could feel warm, but you do get used to it, and eating outside is a great option. The hotel grounds are beautiful and very well kept, with staff constantly tidying and maintaining the gardens. The pools were excellent—always clean, never overcrowded, and we usually found sunbeds without a problem. We also enjoyed the spa, which felt like a hidden gem. Treatments were lovely, and the facilities—including the sauna, steam room, and salt room—were free and often quiet. The onsite shop was handy, and if you need more, supermarkets are just a five-minute walk away. Would we return? Certainly.

We have stayed in this hotel and experienced it staying at the hotel well below expectation.On the beach there were only limited place for sun lounge.There are no other place were you can relax.Only communal place which is shut in the afternoon.So only place is to relax in your room.Food wise wasn’t much of a choice.The funny thing is you have to pay for the water as well.In the morning for a breakfast only hot food they provide is fried eggs and omelette,rest is all copied from the morning left over.If you’re planning to book this hotel I would advise don’t book it spend your money somewhere else.There are no entertainment as well. I am very disappointed and upset with the way my family was treated during our stay. First, regarding the water slides: We paid for access so that my child could enjoy the slides, but he was not allowed to use the larger slides because of his height – even though he is an excellent swimmer and has won swimming medals. When we tried to go to the smaller slides instead, parents were not allowed to join their children. This created a frustrating situation where my child could not enjoy the larger slides due to height restrictions, and at the same time, we could not accompany him on the smaller ones. As a result, it was impossible for us to enjoy the slides together as a family, despite paying full price for access. Second, during meals, we were shocked to be asked to pay extra for drinks. We have never experienced such a policy before. We paid for the hotel on a half board basis, including meals, yet drinks were excluded and charged separately. This felt unreasonable and left us very disappointed. Third, regarding the room: We booked a room for four people, but we were given a room that was clearly designed for three. Instead of proper bedding, an additional folding bed was added as the fourth bed. This was far below the standard we expected when booking a family room. Altogether, these issues turned what should have been a fun and relaxing holiday into a frustrating and disappointing experience. Unfortunately, we regret choosing this hotel, as it did not meet the expectations we had when booking.

The hotel is very large, beautiful, and clean. There are many pools and a beautiful water park, which are great for families. However, there are several downsides. The family rooms are very old and located far away from everything, which made it quite inconvenient. Another major issue is the “all-inclusive” concept – it’s not truly all-inclusive. There are always extra charges for things that should be included. For example, a small bottle of water costs €3, which is unreasonable. It felt like the hotel was constantly looking for ways to make you pay more. The food in the main dining room was repetitive – it didn’t change throughout the week and was not tasty. For a 5-star hotel, this was a disappointing experience. It really felt like they were more focused on charging guests than providing a good experience.

During my five-day stay at the hotel, I observed several positive aspects, including the hotel's size and the absence of queues at the water park. However I must also address some areas needing improvement. Specifically the food quality could be enhanced. Furthermore, the pricing of water in the dining room, at 5 euros per liter, is excessive. While a price point of 2-3 euros per liter might be considered acceptable, the current rate is, in my opinion, unreasonable I have encountered performance issues with both the Wi-Fi and 5G networks, specifically regarding their stability and overall quality.

We stayed here in Agapi Beach Hotel last week for 6 nights. The number one thing that stood out with this hotel is how dedicated, accomodating and hospitable the staff are to making the tourist welcome. We had a very enjoyable time here and can highly recommend. Its an all inclusive hotel the breakfast buffet was especially good with crepes and pancakes, cooked breakfasts etc, we did eat out a couple of evenings to mix it up, there are some really nice restaurants within walking distance. . The beach was within walking distance from our room and we experienced 2 pools in the hotel the big pool did get slightly crowded with towel reservations 😉 the quieter pool by the Spa was just as nice. The hotel is fairly modern and very clean.

We were disappointed to have been “handed” two small orange “drinks” not even juice, as welcome drinks. Very insulting! To add insult to injury, they were not even cold. The room has a good view and balcony but small. We paid about $450/night. You have to bring your own tooth brush and paste and a shower sponge. No iron is available but they have a laundry service. Disappointing to say the least. On another note, the food was excellent. Some alcohol drinks are at an additional fee. The main pool is about 4 ft deep (1.1ms). It is more suited for children. Some to no music at the pool making it dull and boring at least to me.

We spent a week at Agapi Beach in June and had a really great time. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful,always smiling and happy to assist with anything we needed. The whole place has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. What we loved most, is that the resort is right on the beach, which was clean and well looked after, with plenty of sunbeds available. The gardens and pool areas are also beautiful and relaxing. It never felt too crowded, even though the hotel seemed full. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and recently renovated, in the main building. Housekeeping was consistent and always left the room spotless. We were also really happy with the food. The buffet had a big variety and everything we tried was fresh and tasty. We also tried the à la carte restaurants, and those were even better, especially the Greek Taverna. It’s a good idea to book early though, as spots fill up fast. There were also plenty of activities during the day and live music in the evenings, which added to the holiday vibe without being too much. Overall, it’s a well-run, clean, and friendly place to relax by the beach and enjoy good food. We felt very comfortable here and are already thinking about coming back next summer!!!

We chose a beachfront bungalow and it was really nice. The room is quiet and has a balcony where you can relax. The hotel even left a bottle of wine in our room. The buffet food is great and you can enjoy the a la carte restaurants as well. Dinner at the taverna had some of the best food I ate in Greece. It's all inclusive and there's a lot of variety in the drinks you can order. Some are paid (whiskey and some cocktails) but I don't mind since there's so much included to choose from. There are 3 pools but no adults only area. It could be a nice addition since there were a lot of couples without kids. The biggest downside is the beach. It's not the hotel's fault but the waves bring a lot of trash at the end of the day. It was a lovely week filled with sunshine, great food and a lot of cute cats around the hotel.

We recently stayed at Hotel Agapi Beach Resort in Crete and honestly, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome — warm smiles and genuinely helpful service whenever we needed anything. All in all, Hotel Agapi Beach Resort is a wonderful place to unwind, enjoy the sea, and be well taken care of. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in Crete. I hope to come back here soon!

We just ended our holiday at Agapi Beach and all I can say about its that was amazing! Hotel very clean, rooms were cleaned daily, food really tasty, staff very very polite and doing everything to please guests, location it's amazing with cleaned private beach, sunbeds for every guest and only for hotel guest and clear sea water. Our room was in main building so we cloud see wonderful sunrises. I will definitely recommend this Hotel and we will for sure come back! Thank you Agapi Beach for extraordinary experience!

Just returned from a great stay at this hotel. The staff are wonderful, the food is great with plenty of choice. You can use an app that tells you what is going on and even what drinks are available at the bar. There are many sunbeds both in the grounds and on the beach so getting one was no problem anytime. The entertainment is mostly professional shows which were very good. I highly recommend booking this hotel.

I cannot stress enough how grateful we are with the staff at Aquila Elounda Village. We were a group of 8 friends, flying from all over the world to attend a surprise 40th birthday celebration for our friend Kelsey. The hotel accommodated in any and every way to make our experience a once in a lifetime one. I would like to thank every member of staff for arranging a birthday cake during Greek night, for offering us the most wholesome boat cruise with Popi and her family and for making every day the most enjoyable it could be. Our dining highlight was most certainly Symposium - amongst the highest quality dishes we've ever had, alongside impeccable service (special shoutout to Anastasia!) I would like to personally thank Maria from Guest Relations for being our hero. Her dedication and attention to detail is truly inspiring. I am still considering a career change after meeting her and seeing her work! Lobby and beach bar staff went above and beyond all day, every day. Both Marias in the lobby bar, Stelios (THE LEGEND), Fotini, Stella, Giorgos, Nikos, Jimmy and absolutely everyone. Facilities are beautifully kept, tastefully decorated and complete. Rooms are beautiful and immaculately clean. Truly gorgeous hotel.

Amazing 5 stars ⭐️ experience!!! The first adults only hotel in Greece. The location was idyllic and the view was breathtaking to the infinity blue of the Aegean. Nice restaurants from fine dinning to typical Greek cuisine. The breakfast was unique. The hospitality was very friendly and very professional. The staff from the GM to the housemaid was always there for whatever we needed. Looking forward to return back to this paradise..😎☀️🍾

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had an amazing experience. Upon checking in, we were surprised with a room upgrade to the Mythica suites, which included a few amenities which we took full advantage of. The main highlight for us was the swimming on the beach, every day we saw fish and snorkelled for hours. The food and drinks were also absolutely amazing. It was a very romantic retreat for us and we want to thank all of the staff for treating us so well. We will definitely be back. Elli was also exceptional at the symposium restaurant for dinner and the Mirabello restaurant for lunch. Thank you again and can’t wait to visit soon!

The rooms here look nothing like photos, first they gave us a wrong one that we didn’t book (it also smelled really really bad), then they took us to the room that wasn’t even prepared (at 8:30pm), at the end we got our room that instead of the garden view had a full building view. The girl who made us walk around with our luggage - Marina, who works in guest relationships definitely doesn’t like her job and was clearly irritated by the fact that we asked for a room we booked. Her English wasn’t good as well so it was a bit hard to communicate with her.

I can’t recommend this place enough, particularly if you’re looking for a relaxing, luxury vacation. The food, drinks, and service were outstanding. Premium all-inclusive is well worth the price, and we will definitely be returning!

Love this hotel. Visited 4 times before. Rooms are amazing pool and private beach Breakfast was excellent. The Evening meals very not up to the standard they use to be. Joints of meat were always dry and tasteless And what ever is happening to the bar by the beach needs to be sorted out. No selection of food at lunch times. Not good enough. Not sure how or why they can charge €5 for a bottle of water in the Restaurant. What has ever happened to the day time aqua aerobics ?

The perfect place for a switch off and stay. We loved our first time visiting so much, we returned two years later. Staff are professional, friendly and accommodating. The facilities are stunning and cater to your every need. The All inclusive package is well worth it. We are already missing this amazing hotel and the memories we made there! Would recommend to anyone!

Not a Relaxing Stay – Needs Serious Improvement We stayed at the hotel with our extended family – adults and kids – during the summer. From the moment we arrived, the service was lacking. No welcome, no guidance to rooms, and the lobby was extremely hot with no drinks offered. Rooms were spacious but had weak air conditioning and ant problems in several of them. Beds were very basic and uncomfortable. Despite being told we’d get bottled water daily, we didn’t receive any unless we asked. The dining room was overcrowded and hot, with no air conditioning. Food was okay – better for kids than adults. The evening shows were unimpressive, and the Greek restaurant had a nice view but isn’t suitable for families with small children. Although the water slides were fun, there's no shade on the way up, making the ground too hot to walk on without shoes. The music around the pool was extremely loud all day, even in the rooms – not ideal for those seeking peace and quiet. Service overall was poor, and I even witnessed a staff member yelling at a guest over a simple food request. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone looking for a calm or high-quality all-inclusive experience.

The food is excellent and the selection is amazing! The area can be a bit windy since it’s up north, but there are plenty of other attractions to enjoy – lots of pools, fun water slides, kids’ corners, playgrounds, and more. The whole resort is quite spacious and access to everything is included in the price, even the sunbeds on the beach. It’s truly a paradise for children. Snacks outside of breakfast, lunch, and dinner are fantastic as well. You can choose from fresh vegetables, fruit salads, or classics like pizza and toasties – even vegetarians will be happy. The alcohol is not cheap quality either; they serve well-known brands like Havana Club and Beefeater. And at the bar, they’ll make you a real coffee, not just one from a machine.

We are On our last day at this hotel. Last 13 days have been great. Rooms are excellent, and cleaned every day. Lots of choice of food and drink. Places to eat all over the complex. Pools are a little cold, but everyone loved the new water slides. The entertainment team Jayden etc are a great laugh well worth getting involved with some of the activities. Overall fantastic holiday.

Great hotel for family vacation. Plenty of offers for children (pools, kids club, playgrounds). Mini Disxo for children on 6 of 7 days. 3 different restaurants (2 with breakfast and lunch) with all inclusive. Also 3 different pool bars included with drinks and some snacks. The Water Park is right next door and has multiple pools for all ages. Some slides for and access to sunbeds in the park and on the beach are also included. The staff is very friendly, especially towards children. The hotel is a great destination for vacation with kids!

To be honest i had the lowest expectations because i knew that on booking the rating wasn't very good.Me and my family usualy go to hotels that are +8.5 rating,but at that time it weren't many hotels available. So when we arrived i saw verry old walls and an old reception and my first thing that i said was:I don't think this is an hotel beacause it was so old and it creeped me out😅,but hear me out after we walked in the mini streets of the hotel i fell in love.Everything is close to eachother😍From the food zone-Beach side-activities-pools-rooms it is amazing. The sea is clear as the water,the views are amazing,and the waves are the best feeling🥰 Okay,THE FOOD WAS ABSOLUTLY THE BEST FOOD FROM ALL HOTELS,guys if u like eating meat,sea food,pasta,pizza,tacos,whatever u want litreally,go HERE!😋 HEAR ME OUT,my parents are very picky when it comes to food,we went to egypt,turkey but nowhere the food was so tasty like hear,the plates where finished😁Don't get me wrong,egypt and turkey have bigger ospitality and a larger amount of food and diversification,but we prefered to be very delicious and it was!I want to thank to all the members of Star Beach Village and we will totally come back!♥️ PS: in front of the hotel there is a whole street of the city center🥰

We come here just for a few hours to let our daughter play nice and clean not to busy, the water is fairly cold for young children to play in! The play park is excellent for all ages water park area is clean and amazing for children to run free for a few hours. Amazing place to take children to burn off some energy! Bouns its next to beach.

I stayed at Star Beach in Crete and had an amazing experience. The resort is fantastic, with delicious and varied food options. The staff were always kind, friendly, and very helpful. Everything was well taken care of, and I truly enjoyed my time here. I will definitely return in the future!

Absolutely loved it here. The rooms were great and the view is unspoilt across the bay. Very quiet area too. The pools were nice to chill by however somewhat ruined by children playing in the pools with inflatables, it's family friendly but it's somewhat bipolar with how it's so luxurious and perfect to relax with a cocktail at the pool, but then a screaming child goes past on an inflatable pizza. However the staff throughout were fantastic and friendly and the food! The food was delicious, we ate in all the restaurants and even the main buffet was outstanding

If you are after a quiet location then this is ideal. Set 30 mins from.the airport, it's a lovely hotel with a really nice beach. See below further info: Hotel - Ideal for those with young children with it's onsite waterpark. The all inclusive stops at 11 which i felt too early but good if got small children. Rooms - We wasn't in the main hotel so of your not, this will involve you walking to and from the complex and the hillside is steep. Whilst a train runs up and down to the waterpark and you can jump on and off, it runs until 10.30 if memory serves me right. Our room was set away from the hotel and in general was nice, however the corridor that led to the rooms stunk of bad drains and you had to hold your breath because of the smell. Entertainment - The staff were fantastic but I have to say the Entertainment itself wasn't great and only went on until 9.30. After this nothing else to do other than the games room which is an additional cost. Food - As with any all inclusive hotel, it is somewhat repetitive. In general, decent selection. Bars/Drinks - Only two bars were open out the three. The all inclusive doesn't cover all drinks, with premium being extra and all after 11, chargeable. Cocktails made.in bulk, not fresh so not the best. Other - Staff were really friendly. Waterpark was good fun and a good selection of slides. Could do with a sports bar with tv or something as very little to keep you entertained after 9.30pm. No board games in foyer which would have been good for everyone

Amazing hotel in an amazing location. Plenty of pools from the active main pool, the more chilled lower pool by the lovely private beach or the water park with it's own pools. Food was very good, the highlight for us being the Elia a la carte although the main Basilikos restaurant as well as the Frankie grill on the beach and the Italian buffet also delivered. Drinks at the bars were all good from the beach bar, pool bar where the lady worked relentlessly to keep everyone well catered for to the superb cocktails at the Breeze bar. Fantastic staff throughout, they deserve a lot of credit and yes I'd return here absolutely which I don't often say because I like to try different places but it was so so nice. Thank you Fodele beach resort.

The resort was overall fine, but we booked a Sunset Room (came at a higher price) specifically for the view (based on the photos online, especially since we were traveling with a 3-month-old and we were going to spend more time inside). Instead, we were given a room facing the service area and the kitchen/storage rooftops with AC units, which naturally came with a lot of noise. The front desk staff were kind and quickly moved us to another room (same on the interior but a bit different view). That said, the rooms (at least 702 and 802, the ones we've seen) really need refurbishment and renovation, as they feel dated and somewhat neglected. Towels and bed linens should also be replaced and sofas cleaned. Another important point is accessibility: the resort would benefit from being more stroller-friendly. This applies particularly to the beach area and the elevator access behind the terrace bar. Since the property is built on different levels with many stairs, getting around can become quite tiring after a few days. The staff was friendly though. Also as someone who couldn't stay on the beach all day, I would've liked to be able to enjoy the terrace near the pool, unfortunately we weren't able to, due to the fact that it lacked shadow, there were umbrellas only at the pool. Nothing to comment about location, we had checked and knew that we were coming to a more remote resort.

A fantastic hotel for everyone! My mother and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel. It's perfectly situated between the mountains and offers direct access to a stunning, clean, sandy beach. The pool area is also well-maintained and beautifully designed. Our room had a fantastic view of both the sea and the surrounding mountains. The hotel offers a wide range of activities, including animation programs, evening shows, and water sports. The water slides are a lot of fun, and the entire resort is incredibly family-friendly. What truly impressed us was the cleanliness. The staff places a high value on hygiene, and it shows everywhere—in the rooms, on the beach, in the restaurants, and at the pool. The restaurant staff deserves special praise. They were friendly, fast, and maintained excellent hygiene standards. Their hard work and dedication truly stood out. The food selection was also outstanding and of high quality. We enjoyed a mix of delicious Greek and Cretan specialties as well as other international dishes, so there was something for every taste and age. A big thank you to the kitchen staff as well! I would rate the hotel's location 4 out of 5 stars. The nearest major town is a bit far, so it's not ideal for walking to other destinations. However, this is also a major advantage, as the hotel has a unique, secluded location and isn't surrounded by other resorts. It's a matter of personal preference. We rented a car for two days, which made it easy to explore. It was convenient that we could do this directly at the hotel. Overall, we had a beautiful time and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you for the wonderful work!

Attended a conference here for 5 days in late October. The rooms have a modern feel and are fairly spacious. The food is typical canteen food in the main restaurant, but i can highly recommend the Cretan restaurant that serves excellent, more traditional cuisine in a more elevated and relaxed (quieter and less frenetic) setting. I was excellently looked after by Manos, who made great menu recommendations and was kind and efficient.

Food and facilities are very good. The buffets are kept fresh and there is plenty of variety. Waterpark is excellent. As other reviews mention there is a lack of sun loungers around the pool areas, though there are plenty on the beach. For a 5* hotel though the service is a little off at times. Location is a bit out of the way, especially if relying on public transport. Rooms are bit on the small side, and clearly designed for two people, so trying to fit parents and a teenager into one of them made it felt a bit cramped. In addition the separate bed for the teenager was a camp bed style setup, pulled out from the sofa. This blocked access to the balcony and made the room very cramped. Evening entertainment is good in the main, though some of it is a bit hit and miss. The hotel complex is on a hill, with a single van provided to ferry people up and down from reception to rooms. We opted to walk most times, and it was a good workout.

Everything was AMAZING and way beyond what we expected! Perfectly located with beautiful views, very spacious rooms and food, Cafe and lake all within walking distance!!! We will definitely stay again!

Very nice mountain resort with just 10-15 rooms. The hotel landscape is very beautiful and taken care of. You can also enjoy sauna and swimming pool indoors which was very nice. We didn't try the restaurant but it's decoration is very cozy rustical mountain theme and the menu looks very appealing.

Nice place, perhaps we were there in the off season (September?) but they hardly seemed to even be expecting guests. There was no coffee in the morning except the Nescafé packet in the room. Brie’s were fantastic.

Stayed one night at the Delina Mountain Resort as they were hosting a concert. Room and facilities were very nice, the food was good and the concert excellent. Wished we had time to stay longer and make more use of the facilities.

Great experience, especially if you are going there during the off season time, in the winter. There are two sauna rooms, one classic and the second is a hammam type. The saunas are better to reserve in advance as they need time to warm up. There is a nice pool to use after saunas and also some massages and wellness procedures available. After the saunas it's worth visiting the local taverna around and enjoy cretan cuisine 👍 Rooms are very nice and comfortable, supplied with the pack of wood, and extra could be requested for the 5 euro. Great experience, I really enjoyed this place 👍

very kind staff, great to also have the taverna in the hotel area and eat among the great musicians the village has brought up — especially sweet to see how tradition is passed on! Definitely recommend renting a car, trying out the spa, and eating the rizogalo for breakfast! Χάρηκα πολλή

Everything is excellent like we expected. Great personal in all the facilities, we had a wonderful massage from Ms maria and also the staff from the reception was always careful at our needs The restaurant had amazing traditional and fresh food with a very professional staff. Definitely recommended and one of our favourite places

After reading some of the reviews here we were a bit worried about this resort, but that turned out to be totally unnecessary. The resort is BIG and has the most beautiful kept gardens everywhere. Everything looks well maintained, clean and offers amazing views over the sea. There are many pools from big and busy to smaller and quiet. Staff is super friendly and helpful and food is plenty and has enough variation. Especially if you change between the different on site restaurants. Housekeeping is also on point, even if you like to sleep in. Our room (4310) with great bay- and sea views was one of the 'old' ones, but still in good condition. The decor was maybe not modern but everything worked and it was comfortable. The location is great, especially if you have a rental car. Rethymno, Chania, Heraklion and several mountain villages are all within driving distance for a nice day or half day out. Would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone who likes to relax and explore the north of Crete. Oh and the African Acrobat show at the evening entertainment is an absolute must see. Those guys are by far the best show we've ever seen in any hotel anywhere.

We visited as a group and really enjoyed our stay. The views are stunning, and having a couple of beautiful beaches right next to the hotel were awesome. The staff were genuinely nice and super friendly, which made the experience even better. The only downside was that on one or two evenings, the karaoke bar was fully booked for private parties, so we couldn’t use it. That was very disappointing. Also, all the pools had salty or sea water, which wasn’t great—especially for the eyes. They were still usable, but not ideal. The only pool with regular water was the one in the aqua park.

We stayed at Iberostar Creta Panorama and can only say this is a great hotel. The food was always delicious with a wide variety to choose from, both at breakfast and dinner. The hotel itself is large and beautiful, with wonderfully maintained gardens and very clean rooms. There are many pools and a new water park that is perfect for children, with plenty of sunbeds and seating available. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home right away. The recently renovated bungalows are also highly recommended: modern, stylish, and very comfortable. Our son had a small accident and we had to go to the hospital. Without hesitation, the hotel offered to cover the taxi fare both ways. This thoughtful service is something we will never forget! One small downside we found is the difference between half board and all inclusive. If you book half board, you only get pre mixed drinks and you' pay €3,70 for a soft drink. It would be much nicer if you received a bottle of soda instead of a glass from the machine. This was a fantastic experience and we will definitely come back!

We spent a week here and had a wonderful time. The rooms were excellently equipped and very clean, and the food was delicious, thanks to the chefs who clearly put a lot of effort into their work. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and the beautifully maintained green grounds made it feel spacious and not crowded at all. We're already planning to come back!

This was not at all the experience I was expecting. We have stayed at other Iberostar locations in the Caribbean and were very impressed. So impressed, that we bought into The Club. We were “upgraded “ to a newly remodeled room that was completely lacking in features. The shower drain backed up and we had to use every towel we had to clean up the water on the bathroom floor. Then the front desk acted like they were doing us a favor to bring us new towels. And they just left them on a patio chair instead of removing the sopping wet towels. The food was not good. The restaurants were not good. After trying the restaurants twice we decided to drive off site for dinner. The view was nice but the on site beach was not. We enjoyed the off site beaches much more.

We stayed here for 3 nights, the resort is huge, clean, with many pools and by the beach too so there’s an abundance of places for swimming and sunbathing. Breakfast was amazing and dinner was good too (different selection every night). They upgraded our room to a bigger room free of charge and we felt very welcome throughout our stay. We had an incredible spa experience too. Want to say thank you to the team that looked after us, especially the Spa lady (forgot her name), Maria and Penelope at the front desk. Highly recommended and will be back one day.

This is our fourth time here, and it’s always amazing! The hotel has everything you could want — great facilities, extraordinary service, a lovely atmosphere, and it’s perfect for families. They’ve recently renovated the houses, and some now even have their own little private pools, which is such a treat. The beach might be small, but it’s gorgeous — quiet, crystal-clear water, and less waves. It feels like your own hidden spot by the sea.

We’ve recently returned from a 7 day stay here, and the hotel itself is absolutely fantastic, it feels very grand and clean when you enter through the main reception. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. There’s a huge selection on food from the restaurants, and the all day snack bars also have a huge range to choose from. The food isn’t exactly hot, and if you want to use the toasting machine it’s like warming up the bread with a radiator so be prepared to stand there for five minutes putting it through multiple times. Excellent views from the restaurants. The entertainment staff are amazing, they put a lot of effort into entertaining the guests with their daily activities and evening shows, and you can clearly see how much they love doing what they do. The spa was a fantastic experience, you do have to pay extra for this but I would say it’s worth it for that relaxing getaway experience. A few downsides - the walk to and from the hotel. The hotel is on a huge hill, so be prepared; we usually got a taxi into town and back (10 euros each way), as it is quite a walk away. I would recommend hiring a car if you can, there are some lovely towns nearby to explore. It states the rooms are cleaned daily, however our room was missed a couple of times during our stay. Our bed sheets weren’t changed at all, and overall it didn’t really seem the cleaners did much apart from make the bed and give us two bottles of water. The beer and wine is self poured, and honestly they didn’t taste nice at all; it tasted very watered down, I just stopped drinking it altogether. Overall we really did enjoy our stay here, and the views are amazing from the various pools as you can look into the sea in the distance.

We just come back from our holiday in Crete at this hotel. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly (reception and restaurant staff) the all inclusive food was amazing. We did go out to eat one night but preferred to eat at the hotel. Definitely book the Asian restaurant as that was delicious the whole family enjoyed it and included in the all inclusive for one visit. The hill is big to walk up and down but I would say it’s nice to be away from the street and the hotel felt secure. I saw a lot of hotels in the area where anyone could just walk in and I didn’t like that so I think that it makes royal imperial stand out from the rest. We spent a lot of time at the top pool but sun-beds do get taken up by towels early. They top your water in your room up everyday and clean the rooms/make beds everyday. The shower was a little dated but it did the job was very strong so had to be careful it didn’t spray everywhere. We were all very pleased with the hotel and it was a very big complex so plenty of pools and space. We didn’t really watch the entertainment but that’s just us our kids are teens so weren’t very interested so we went out in the evening doing go carting, shopping and walking along the front. Definitely recommend this hotel. We had such a good time there and in the area. Only negative was the spa team were a little pushy for you to book a massage and got moody when you said no.

Love this place. The food is unbelievable, snack bars are like kebab shops back in the uk. The restaurant is fantastic. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. My only thing is its just slightly isolated but it is what it is, its not really a criticism. My 1 and only gripe is the drinks, the choice is great i drink vodka and its Absolute, and my girlfriend drinks Gin which is Beefeater but its served in paper cups rather than hard plastic 😡 other than that its amazing. Would strongly recommend

Beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean. Staff are incredible, so polite and working tirelessly to ensure a wonderful stay. Lots of pools to choose from. Location is great for bus service. There is a steep hill on the driveway to tackle to and from the hotel. The spirits are all big brands but the soft drinks are overly sweet. Food is okay but all very clean.

The resort is immaculate, clean, friendly and very large. First of all is the food, its very good, great selection and wide range of choice, I did end up going home though with diarrhea, cannot confirm it was Artimis but was the last thing I ate. Entertainment is funny, especially as everything is mimed too, the chief Entertainment member is a big too big for her boots, but Mike and Oliver were very friendly. Games and activities are fun, I won darts twice and collected a certificate on stage. Rooms on the older part of the resort need a facility but has all the amenities included. Pools are the biggest issue, try to save you lounger is a competition on its own but if you get them reserved by 530 you'll have no issue, the management should look in to this are stop this from happening. Overall a very pleasant stay Reception are helpful 4/5 Food 3.5/5 Pools 3/5 Entertainment staff 4/5

Great hotel! Amazing staff which are super friendly and helpful. The entertainment is really good always something to do and the entertainers themselves are amazing and put so much effort in. The rooms are very modern, spacious and clean along with the rest of the hotel. The food is great; lots of choices and variety. There are lots of pools and they are very big and each offer a different atmosphere which is good if you want to be in a more calm or more energetic area. 10/10 hotel would recomend to everyone!

We stayed here for a week for our holiday. Beautiful and large hotel, the food is delicious and plentiful. Nice pools, we always found a lounger without the towel run. Lots of English people who obviously can't handle alcohol, but this is normal because in the UK they have bad beer with low alcohol. They are noisy; you can hear everything through the thin walls. I would come back here.

Great hotel with many pools and bars, food at the buffet was good and had a variety of different dishes every day. The staff were extremely kind and friendly. The rooms were good, our only complaint was that the shower had a see through glass door, but other than that they were good. We also tried the a la carte restaurants, the experience was fun but I felt the quality of the food felt the same as the buffet and I expected a bit more. The hotel is located fairly far from the nearest town, but it has a small convenience store for pretty much everything you might need.

Loved our holiday here. Kids were well entertained with the waterpark and pools. The beach over the road had a harbour area for swimming which was nice and safe with plenty of loungers. The food was great with plenty of choice. We tried all restaurants during our stay apart from the Mexican which was full. The staff were just brilliant! Very friendly , nothing too much trouble . Resort clean and a short walk to the small local village. Taxi to larger town were €20 for five of us (Hersonissos) on our last day we had a much later flight so requested a late check out . We had a call the day before saying it had been arranged and a charge of €140 for basically the full day there, this made the last day so much easier and essentially gave us another day of holiday rather than sitting about all day and leaving luggage etc. would absolutely recommend this place and given the chance would return. Thank you .

Wonderful experience, would definitely come again, staff was lovely and welcoming. Food was lovely. My only downside was I struggled with heat as a Yorkshire woman, but that didn't change the experience. Rooms were lovely and cool, and definitely worth spending some extra for some excursions. Head down to the beach before sunset for a beautiful view, the local village is worth a short walk to, and there's always activities for children at the resort.

Returned to vacation at Stella Palace after two years, the vacation as usual was perfect, we arrived 3 families with children who were in the water park all day. Always treats of ice cream and soft drinks around the pool. The dining room is large and luxurious, there is plenty to eat for everyone from adults to children. The water park is huge and there are facilities for everyone. The service from the reception staff and dining room staff was amazing! Always with a smile. Rooms always clean. (25 minute drive from the airport to the hotel). Many thanks to the Stella team for a perfect vacation..

Stayed for 5 nights and loved everything. What a vacation! This hotel exceeded all our expectations. A huge shoutout to the amazing staff, especially the club car drivers who were so helpful. The rooms were spotless, the food was tasty, and the water park was the best part of our trip. The kids had a blast at the evening shows. Can't wait to go back!

Got back last week after a 7 day stay here. Family of four and we all had great relaxing time. Soon as reach resort greeted with smiles all round. Agapi who works at main restaurant was amazing with my kids that my smallest kid only wanted to eat at that restaurant so she can see her. Lucy and ruby at the kids club are fantastic. As the kids had great time we as a couple could just relax. Waterpark was well staff as well. Definitely see me and family going back.

We stayed in a Family Suite with direct access to a shared pool, which was both luxurious and convenient. The service throughout the resort was excellent — even the bar staff came around to serve drinks directly to our room, which was a lovely touch. There are plenty of restaurants offering a wide range of delicious and high-quality food, and the resort is exceptionally well-suited for families with young children. The kids’ club is outstanding — a beautiful, purpose-built facility run by a fantastic multilingual team, especially Lucy and Griselda, who went above and beyond to make our children feel welcome and engaged. The resort also offers babysitting services during the day and night, which are reasonably priced and conveniently managed by the same caring kids’ club team — a huge help for parents wanting some time to relax. While there isn’t a great deal to keep teenagers entertained beyond the waterpark, it truly is a paradise for younger kids. The nearby beach is perfect for families — shallow, calm, and safely segregated. Although the island itself doesn’t have a lot to do outside the resort, Stella Palace is an exceptional choice for a relaxing, family-focused holiday with outstanding facilities and service.

Perfectly adequate but do not expect a 5* if you've not paid 5* prices. Incredibly beautiful surroundings and amazing views from the rooms. Nice staff. Tons of food selection and all fresh/tasty. Delicious desserts which makes a change for an all-inclusive. Good selection of drinks. Rooms are spacious and very clean with comfortable beds, but it's not the 5* experience you'd hope for. Location: stunning but a car is highly recommended. Bali is very quiet and the beach very average. Entertainment was mostly terrible so be prepared to get out and about.

An absolutely fantastic holiday staying here. The rooms were clean and spacious. There was a bath and shower in the bathroom which was unexpected. The food was incredible and a variety to choose from. The staff were also welcoming and friendly. A nice spacious balcony too and we had a nest in the corner which was lovely to watch as the parents were feeding 3 babies. There’s a lot of birds around which was nice. There’s mountains surrounding the resort so we were able to see bird of prey in the distance There were 3 pools to choose from, each had sun beds around that were clean and comfy to lie on. Towels were given for €5 deposit. Drinks and snacks were available from the pool bar and again, the staff were very friendly and served with a smile. There was entertainment on and some was great, the Magician, The Professional, was phenomenal and a great show! There were 2 dancers which wasn’t a great hit, it looked like they argued a couple of times during the set and the show didn’t flow - they kept stopping for a minute or two after their dance. As soon as they got the audience involved in dancing, the evening was okay but their show was embarrassing. There was a shuttle bus that fit 8 people and took you to the beach and back for free. We did this a couple of times and it was really nice but sometimes going back to the hotel was a wait due to the number of people wanting to go back. Not a problem though as there was a cafe/ bar right next to the drop off point I cannot fault the staff but a big thank you to Regina who made us feel welcomed. She was always ready to help us out with booking a car for us or sorting out a late check out Really happy with our stay and would really recommend to everyone

We were looking for a quiet fuss-free family holiday in Crete and this is exactly what we found. Everyone at Filion Suites was warm and welcoming. They were friendly and helpful and made sure our stay was exceptional. The rooms are cleaned daily, spacious and look out over the olive trees. There are 3 pools and they are never too busy. There are plenty of sun-beds, and everyone in the pool bar is friendly and quick to serve. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are server in the main restaurant and the food is very good, and there was always something we liked. Although all the staff cleaners waiters and barmen were excellent, we wanted to highlight Regina on reception who greeted us with a smile and addressed all our questions with a typical warm Greek hospitality.

Food deceiving for a 5 star. No Fresh juice for breakfast apart from orange juice, it is very unfortunate to have a soda machine like in a fast food. Very limited choice of food be it lunch or diner. We ate the same thing for a whole week, that is very unfortunate for a 5 star. In addition, the staff in the restaurant is constantly walking around collecting plates and we were often asked « are you done with this plate ? » we kind of always felt rushed and pressured to eat fast. The hotel itself is ok. The site is very calm, peaceful with a beautiful view of the mountains. Different pool choices and the kids pool is large enough, our kids enjoyed it. Our room was very spacious and clean. The cleaning lady was a very nice lady. The reception staff is also very nice, shout out to Dimitri who drove me to the pharmacy in his personal car so that I could buy formula for my baby.

Absolutely fantastic stay, me and my partner had 10 days all inclusive (definitely needed more!), the food was consistently great, staff were all extremely forthcoming and happy to assist with any queries. Great place for families and couples! Was thoroughly entertained every night. Only criticism was a slightly leaky shower and WiFi was a bit hit and miss, bar that everything else was brilliant! Would definitely recommend any excursions!

We had an amazing stay at Fillion Hotel, food was fully stocked from the snack bar to the main restaurant. There were 3 pools so plenty of options to bathe in, overall a great break away with spectacular views

My son and me stayed at Filion Hotel last week and come back home yesterday. To start with, this is definitely not a 5-star hotel. I’m honestly not sure how they got that rating — at best, it’s a 3-star, so if you're expecting luxury, you’ll probably be disappointed. The rooms were spacious and generally okay. I think we were lucky with ours because we didn’t have major issues. In my room, the air conditioning was great, and I’d recommend keeping the bathroom door and the window open — otherwise it can smell a bit off, especially overnight. The hotel has three swimming pools. There were always enough sunbeds and space during the day, so no need to wake up early to “reserve” a spot. However, I’m not sure how often they clean the pools. My son ended up with a bit of a rash, mostly his hands and neck. Just something to be cautious about — might be a good idea to bring some cream or ointment, just in case. Food was a big letdown. I'm not a picky eater, but there were very few options. Just two counters — one with salads, the other with hot food — and the menu was more or less the same every day. I’ve never seen such limited choice at an all-inclusive hotel before. Entertainment in the evening was so-so. Not awful, but nothing special either — a few singers and dancers. Only one evening had anything for kids, so if you’re travelling with children, don’t expect much for them in the evenings. The beach is about 15 minutes away by bus, which the hotel provides regularly. It’s a nice beach, but you do have to go down a few steps. Just something to keep in mind if you or someone in your group has mobility issues. It was not easy to find a taxi to come back to the hotel and you need to call the hotel to arrange a car for you, really complicated. All in all, I wouldn’t choose this hotel again. For the price we paid, you can definitely find something better.

Facilities and food were excellent, however all meals were buffet so, serve yourself. Only beer and wine with meals served at the table so had to got to the bar to get any other drinks yourself. No room service at all. The spa did not offer pedicures. Whilst our stay was enjoyable this is definitely NOT a 5 star hotel.

Really enjoyed our holiday here last week. The staff were very friendly, especially Adriana, Sebastian & Geronimo who made us feel really welcome. It was a pleasure chatting to them while we received excellent service from them. Rooms were clean and tidy. Food was great with lots of choice. Would recommend to anyone.

Family-friendly, yes, but nowhere near a genuine 5-star experience. While the resort offers a decent setting for a holiday with children, the room service was consistently disappointing. When a hotel advertises itself as 5-star, expectations are naturally high and here, reality fell well short. The value for money is poor, and in my opinion, this is more of a 4-star hotel at best. Would I come back? Definitely not.

Review of Pilot Beach Hotel (Stayed ~2 weeks) We stayed here for almost two weeks with our family, and overall had a really good experience. Food (5/5): The food was excellent! Lots of variety and daily specialties. Service was especially attentive near the beach. A great highlight of our stay. Room (5/5): Our room was big enough for two adults and two kids, which was perfect. The furniture is a little bit old, but at the end of the day you’re mostly there to sleep, so it wasn’t a big issue. We were close enough to hear the night shows, which could be a little noisy, but overall the room worked very well for our family. Pools (3/5): The kids loved the fact that there are five pools. However, cleanliness could be improved — we often saw plastic or debris at the bottom and never noticed anyone cleaning them. Beach (5/5): The beach is beautiful, spacious, and very child-friendly. Always plenty of space to find a sunbed. Housekeeping (5/5): Housekeeping was fantastic — the housekeepers were super fast, efficient, and really great. Room Service (3/5): Food delivery through the app was disappointing. It says 30–40 minutes, but in reality it often took 3–4 hours. This should be communicated more clearly. Hotel App & Reception (4/5): The hotel has an app that’s very helpful with lots of information, though navigation could be more user-friendly. They also offer a WhatsApp channel to contact reception, which is a nice idea. Sometimes responses were fast, but other times we had to follow up and wait a while. Bars & Drinks (4/5): The hotel offered a wide variety of drinks, which was great. However, sometimes we had to wait up to 20 minutes for a cold coffee, while alcohol orders were served much faster. Service could be more balanced, but overall it was good. Special Nights: Sushi Night: The sushi was really good, and service was perfect. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a free bottle of wine, which was a nice touch. The only downside was that there was quite a long wait between dishes, which was a bit difficult with kids. Cretan Night: The Cretan night was full, but the hotel management kindly sent us an invitation so we could still join. It was very enjoyable with good music and delicious food. It was a bit crowded, but still worth attending. Location & Transfers (5/5): The hotel is about a 50-minute drive from the airport. All transfers were well-organized, punctual, and stress-free. Overall: A great hotel for families with kids — fantastic food, beach, rooms, and especially housekeeping. Some areas (pool cleanliness, room service, and bar service timing) could be improved, but we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend it. Nice hotel so far, only down side is our mini bar in room 4722 was not stocked when we arrived yesterday, asked at the desk, they said ring services, which I tried but no answer, so asked a cleaner who said we only get water. Our friends mini bar also not stocked and they rang and it was stocked by the second evening.

Excellent resort. Huge variety of food available. Rooms are a good size. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and try their best to please. The hotel and rooms are always very clean and tidy. We would definitely book again.

Lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean, good variety of food, probably the comfiest sunbeds I've used in a hotel and the staff are friendly, helpful and genuinely nice. The rooms are large and spacious, the only negative is the lack of storage which is a real shame as there's plenty of space to put more drawers/cupboards. The food is fresh and there's a great choice in the buffet restaurant. It would be great if one of the A la Cartes was an authentic Greek restaurant. Lots of day time and evening entertainment for all the family. The only downside is the location, there's not an awful lot close to the hotel. You can jump on a bus outside the front of the hotel if tou want to visit other places. We went on a great boat trip and visited the natural history museum in Heraklion which is only about 20 minutes away on the bus. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, great staff, especially Albie and Dimitry at the bar. Entertainment is good enough and the food has a good selection. My only gripe was a member of staff at the Dia restaurant/bar was handling raw chicken and serving drinks without washing his hands. We will return.

A fantastic week away as a family with 2 young children (11 month old and a 4 yo). The family room (and balcony) was huge, food was exceptional, staff were great, and facilities brilliant. My eldest was a bit sad that she was too young to use the more exciting water slides, and we would have preferred the pools to have shallower parts (all pools - except the splash park - were 1.4m deep). However, even with this said, we had an amazing time - and will likely book again in the future. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for making this such a lovely holiday!

First off, let me just say that despite the relatively poor location of this hotel, it is in fact a 5star rating from myself and my family: Pros - CLEANLINESS: The hotel is IMMACULATELY presented. Rooms are cleaned daily. Didn't see a single bug in the room. This goes for the food and bar areas also. - FOOD: Top notch food here. Loads of choice, mostly Greek food (you're in Greece afterall) with some chips and pizzas etc for fussy eaters or kids. Certainly enough choice for a weeks stay. The stuffed vine leaves were fantastic. - DRINK: The alcohol served here can and will get you a bit squiffy rather quickly if you're not careful. You don't have to drink your own bodyweight in order to feel the effects (my wife can vouch for that). - STAFF: In our week here we didn't meet a single staff memeber who wasn't kind, curteous and considerate, whether it was a cleaner, front of house or a bartender. All great. - KIDS ACTIVITIES: Thankfully within the ground of the hotel there is an aquapark area consisting of 3 large "adult" slides (our son is 10 and loved these) as well as a smaller kids play area with a shallow pool, slides and splash area. The kids pool also has toilet facilities and a pool bar which serves drinks and a mix of crepes, waffles etc for some tasty snacks. There is a heated indoor pool which is open for kids from 10:00-13:00. Cons (there aren't many) - LOCATION: Really the only drawback of the hotel is its location. To get anywhere lively or with things to see and do you will need to get buses or taxis. Thankfully the hotel has a nearby taxi company which they have on hand for the more adventurous. We travelled into Heraklion for 30Euros each way, which I thought was a reasonable price. Heraklion was a really great day out. Lots of shops and cool things to see and do including a cathedral, a venetian fort amongst others. Overall the hotel is absolutely fantastic and if you're the type of family that just likes to chill out in a hotel and maybe have a walk along the beach then I could'nt reommend it higher.

We enjoyed our stay at Arina Beach in September as much as we did the first time last year in June. As a family with a 4 year old kid, it is a nice place to rest as we had all the facilities. The variety of fresh and tasty food, the long seaside shore , a lot of pools, every evening shows, friendly and careful staf, comfortable and spacious rooms with seaside view. A few bus stations away we visited an amazing CretaAquarium, Dinosaur park and also a Reptile rescue centre. Hope we will return one day.

Had a wonderful experience here during October half term. Staff: Amazing. Very attentive to both needs but also to keeping the place clean. Room: Spotless, and this extends to the hotel. Shower in room was powerful and so relaxing. We'd upgraded to a penthouse room which allowed use of the a la carte restaurant at the breakfast, some robes in the room and a constant restock of soft drinks in the mini fridge. The drinks weren't really needed as it's all inclusive. The beds were *exceptionally* soft and to be honest was one of only 2 minor niggles of the whole holiday. The other being lack of storage in the hotel rooms. When those are really my only minor faults you cna see how good this place was. Food: I'll review the 2 on site a la carte restaurants separately as I don't want to detract from the main experience. The main buffet restaurant was brilliant. So much variety every day and even when they theme the evening, there's still basic Greek food available which is really important to me. I don't go to Greece to eat curry or Chinese food... Pools: There's a main pool for loud stuff and activities etc but that's not our style so we sat by the "heart shaped pool" most of our holiday which was next to the spa and was quiet, tranquil and so relaxing. There's also a splash park for the kids, fumes, an adults only pool and a heated spa pool inside that kids can use till 1pm. Evening entertainment was fine. Not what I go away for so not my thing. We really enjoyed the vacation at this hotel. The food was excellent, the location is right on the beach. The water is crystal clear when there are no waves. In the right part of the hotel beach there is another beach that is protected by some micro islands from the big waves. The water is shallow which makes it perfect for small children. The rooms are large and are cleaned daily. The entire hotel is very clean. The only downside I see is that there are many planes flying close to the hotel as the airport is at about 15min drive from the hotel. Surprisingly, I didn't find this disturbing.

We had an excellent holiday. Service all round fantastic, great rooms, great food choices especially the Taverna and A La Carte both of which, despite being included in the all inclusive package, I would happily have paid extra for. Will definitely return.

The facilities were well kept, the food delicious, and the surrounding area is perfect for exploring both the coast and nearby villages. A special mention goes to Sofia at reception, who truly made our stay unforgettable. Her exceptional kindness, warmth, and helpfulness stood out from the moment we arrived. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us great recommendations so we could enjoy the best of Crete. Thanks to her, we felt so welcomed and cared for. We would absolutely recommend Athina Palace to anyone looking for a memorable holiday in Crete, and we’ll definitely be back!

The location is gorgeous! We opted for rooms with a sea view - I recommend it! 5 stars are only worth the location, not the food or the hospitality of the employees towards customers. They argued even with the managers in front of the customers without any embarrassment at all. The culinary options are at most 3 stars, not more. All drinks are in plastic cups. Not even the fruit is freshly served. There is no espresso in the all inclusive, for example. Generally the stuff are French speakers, very few English or German speakers. The few artistic programs are held in French. Of course, this experience will not change our opinion about the wonderful Greek people/country, but I would not recommend this destination to friends.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worthy of 5 Stars I recently stayed at this hotel in Crete and, unfortunately, my experience did not meet the expectations of a 5-star resort. Starting from the first day, I encountered something completely unacceptable: in the minibar fridge of my room, there were a few bottles of water – one of which was filled with seawater. Whether this was a prank by previous guests or not, it is the hotel’s responsibility to ensure the room is properly checked and everything is safe and appropriate for new arrivals. This was a serious oversight and a very poor first impression. The food was consistently below the standard one would expect from a 5-star establishment. Often of very low quality and not fresh, it simply didn’t match the setting or the promises made. Even basic details, such as serving cold water at breakfast during the hot summer season, were overlooked – the water was always warm. As for the staff, my experience was mixed. The older staff members were often unpleasant and, at times, irrational in their approach. Thankfully, the younger team members showed more kindness and professionalism, which was appreciated. It’s truly a shame, because the hotel is in a beautiful location with great potential. Sadly, the poor service and lack of attention to detail ruined what should have been a relaxing holiday. I found myself counting down the days until I could return home – just to enjoy a simple, good coffee. I’m not sure if this reflects the general standard in Greece, or if I was simply unlucky with this stay. But for a hotel that claims to be five-star, this experience was deeply disappointing.

They definitely don’t like the Brit’s rude staff the food I’ve seen better meat served up at London zoo for the animals hygiene what hygiene they had a magic cloth that cleans every table that they keep in there pocket no multi surface cleaner in sight tables always sticky the wine like vinegar everything was the cheapest they could buy 5 star no way 2.5 and that’s being generous all animations are in French so we are not included and cannot join in adult quite pool well again rules very slack children in pool there’s a sign to say no smoking around the pool but the French just left dirty ashtrays under sun beds the sun beds where never cleaned they where dirty I’m surprised people where not ill with Covid room was cleaned every day and the rooms are a long way from dinner hall all up steep hills I must just say the food was the same every day chicken I think and maybe pork what don’t get eaten one day will return the next it could be made into something else or even be served up dry as a bone honestly the food was **** please don’t put yourself through this remember it’s ment to be a enjoyable holiday this place is punishment !!!!!!

The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that the view is absolutely stunning. It's a real shame that everything else falls so short. Of all the all-inclusive resorts I've ever stayed at (and they are many), this was by far the worst experience. The activities are only is French. The afternoon snacks are incredibly limited, usually consisting of sad, reheated pizza that's been sitting out all day and stale cookies. The lack of pool chairs and umbrellas is a major problem. There are nowhere near enough for the number of guests, which leads to a daily battle for a spot. For our first two days, we had to sit on regular dining chairs with our 2-year-old because there were no lounge chairs available. On the third day, we finally got one by going to the pool very early. But then, in an attempt to "solve" the problem of guests reserving chairs, the hotel took a ridiculous approach. We were at the pool for just an hour, and when we returned, our belongings had been thrown aside and other people were sitting in our spot. The staff told us that reserving chairs wasn't allowed, which is an absurd way to treat paying guests, specially considering we were in the pool!!! To top it all off, the hotel has lots of stairs and is definitely not child-friendly. There isn't even a playground, making it a very difficult place to be with a toddler. The transfer to and from the hotel to the beach is also extremely unsafe. It's done in an improvised truck with no doors, and it's so overcrowded that people are forced to stand while the vehicle is in motion.

Furniture was worn out, and the atmosphere was depressing. • Tidiness: Cleanliness standards were non-existent. Dust, stains, and an overall lack of hygiene made the stay unpleasant. This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I strongly recommend avoiding this place—there are far better options in Greece.

Perfect place to relax, especially for families with children. The rooms are clean and quite spacious. The food is very delicious and tasty, there is a large selection. Every evening interesting performances await guests in the amphitheater. The staff is very kind and helpful. The waterpark is large and recommended for children of all ages. The sea is about 50 meters from the entrance to the hotel, sandy beach, free umbrella and sunbed. I highly recommend it to everyone!

We spent a fantastic week at Stella Village with our three children and are absolutely delighted. It was one of our best family holidays! The hotel is beautiful, the Aqua Park provided all-day entertainment for the kids, and the food was consistently delicious and varied, with plenty of choices for everyone. Walks through the wonderful, well-kept garden were a pure pleasure. However, the greatest treasure of this place is the people. It's the staff that makes a stay here unforgettable. Every employee, without exception, is the epitome of professionalism, diligence, and extraordinary kindness. From the always-smiling ladies at the reception, through the restaurant staff who took care of every detail, to the sensational animation team with their endless energy and great approach to children. In every interaction, we felt treated exceptionally and with genuine warmth. It is this amazing atmosphere, created by wonderful people, that makes us want to come back. We recommend it with all our hearts!

Fantastic hotel the staff are lovely and welcoming, cleaning staff was brilliant we had a lady called Jena and she was fanatic left little notes back and forth with our son which was lovely. Overall we had a great stay. The only disappointment was the food was repetitive from start to end what was for lunch that day was the same for dinner. So we decided to change it up on our last night and went to the Mediterranean restaurant on sight and the food was lovely but the burger and kebabs was undercooked and was still pink which was disappointing.

We stayed here in early October as a family of four and overall had a great time. The highlight of the hotel is its impressive water park, featuring multiple slides suitable for all ages and adventure levels, supervised by attentive lifeguards who ensure guest safety. There are also several food stands offering fast food, ice cream, and drinks. The only thing we felt was missing was a lazy river. The hotel’s beach was also very nice — sandy, calm, and well-protected thanks to the sea walls The food was generally good and tasty, and the restaurant staff were kind and attentive. It’s just a pity that quality coffee wasn’t available. The hotel staff overall were very friendly and helpful. A couple of minor downsides: the room cleaning could have been more thorough, and since we visited in early October, the water in the pools and water park was quite cold as it isn’t heated. It would be great if the hotel considered heating the water during the shoulder seasons.

We had wonderful holiday in Stella Village. Hotel provides various activities and facilities suit all age guests. The food is not expensive ingredients but tasty. Broth soup is special provided for lunch and dinner. The highlight is delicious cocktails. It is made like normal bar. Not like other all-inclusive hotel fast cocktails. Even staying 3 nights, I still can't taste all cocktails, need to come back again to taste all. Hotel location next ocean is good, I'm fascinated and passionate by capturing Photo of the light change during sunrise and sunset moments. Overall we enjoyed a lot in Stella Village.

The Best Hotel Experience I’ve Ever Had This was, without a doubt, the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Everything about our experience was outstanding. The food was absolutely incredible – top-quality, diverse, and available at all times. Whether it was the main dining hall or the hotel’s restaurants, the selection was endless and catered to every taste and preference. The cleanliness was impeccable. Every corner of the hotel was spotless, constantly maintained to the highest standards. The facilities were simply amazing. Multiple pools for all ages, an enormous water park, and countless activities made it perfect for families and kids – but also relaxing for adults. What truly set this hotel apart was the level of service. The staff was kind, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure every guest felt welcome and cared for. The service here was the best I’ve ever experienced.

Not only won't you get bored in this hotel, but you also might not have enough time to enjoy all the different activities. worth mentioning that all the hotel staff are well-trained and happy, which gave us a good feeling from the beginning, and they were always eager to help. Special thanks to the Animation team for such good vibes and for bringing joy to everyone. I am a very picky person when it comes to hotels and vacations, but I totally recommend this hotel to everyone looking for freshness and joy away from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind.

Outstanding Resort! The reception staff were always helpful and welcoming. The arrival with a rose for the ladies and a glass of champagne was a lovely touch. The cleanliness was excellent—rooms, common areas, and pools were spotless and well-maintained. The all-inclusive package covers almost everything. The buffet food was tasty, varied, and plentiful. The only downside was the difficulty in booking and finding a place at the alternative restaurants. The entertainment team was fantastic—fun, energetic, and professional, with plenty of activities for adults and kids. The resort has many pools, great for both fun and relaxation, plus a playground with toboggans that the kids loved. Finally, there is a Hertz desk at the main hall where you can rent cars directly at the hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at Iberostar Creta Marine! The hotel is beautifully maintained and offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday. One thing we really appreciated is that there’s no reserving sunbeds with towels – if you try, staff will remove them. This keeps things fair and made it easy for everyone to find a spot by the pool. The animation team was wonderful – friendly, fun, and engaging, both for adults and children. Our kids especially enjoyed the activities and shows. When it comes to food, there is an incredible variety, with something for everyone, and the quality was excellent throughout our stay. Overall, we truly enjoyed our holiday here and would happily recommend Iberostar Creta Marine to anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly, and well-organized resort experience.

Was just here for a 4 night stay. All the bartenders were great but special thanks to Niki and George who I had the most time with this week! Katerina was amazing and so patient at check in time and Dimitra helped make the check out experience super quick and easy! They do pool games and activities throughout the day that the whole staff made so fun for everyone! (special shout out to Guillie & Shane ) Over all great experience!

Loved it, we will be back! The only comment I have is the animation/activities for 8 year olds which I feel could be broader. My daughter only took part in one activity though we stayed 8 days. Would love more pottery/painting/dancing rather than 90% of water based activities. The salt water is a great idea but my daughter didn’t like it as it hurt her skin so not great if you have sensitive skin. She’s wearing goggles but still couldn’t enjoy the main pool. We loved the animation team they were really wonderful and warm. Their shows were hilarious, we had an amazing time each night and missed them when they were resting on their day off. Best animation team ever. I would also say minus point with the gym which for a new 5 star hotel needs an upgrade. It’s extremely hot in there, and it gets crowded very quickly. We’d need more equipment to match the new star rating as it would be disappointing to come back to the same gym next year. The property is gigantic and beautiful, we’ve enjoyed taking walks at sunset it’s incredible and the property doesng lack of beaches, I’ve seen little fishes and shrimps when snorkelling, it was fun. The food in the food trucks was quite good but I would like to see more salad options. We loved the buffet, it felt so healthy and fresh, lots of seafood and greens. Please make the desserts in smaller portions and healthier as they were quite sweet and big for children.

The fact that this hotel is a 5 star hotel is really a joke. Please do not book here if you value your time and money. Everyone at the reception is unnecessary rude. When we arrived a guy give us directions but no help getting the luggage on the second floor (without elevator). We asked for a quiet room, but every 2 days they do music shows in the bar until 23 that feels it is right in your room. They have rooms in the back but they said they are fully booked even if I find available rooms on booking.com for our dates. The rooms are very old, the blanket had a hole, one lamp didn't have the lamp shade, the roof of the balcony was leaking on the clothes left to dry, the door stopped working one day and took 30 min to fix. There is a huge power plant nearby that ruins the view of the beach and a bad small in the air if the winds blows from that direction. The people giving out beach towels are extremely rude, shouting to an old lady that didn't put the old towels all the way in the bag. Greek a la carte restaurant is nice. Breakfast is bland, juices are horrible, food quality in general is very low, croissant are instead nice. Most of beach lounges are extremely old, dirty and broken. Nothing within walking distance. There is a bus stop outside that bring you to the city center.

The good: -Beach close to hotel, chairs can be used for free -Various pools and slides available -Beautiful, spacious lobby -Nice garden area with fruit trees -Hotel offers broad set of activities like mini golf, tennis, football, guided workouts etc. -Some of the staff are very friendly -Welcome snack was provided The bad: -The integrated minimarket offers most products at overpriced rates -Room was stuffy and smelled weird -Old powerplant nearby impacts landscape and air quality -Location relatively isolated, rental car recommended if you want to go exploring -Many of the bungalows can only be reached via stairs -Some of the staff are quite robotic and unfriendly The ugly: -Food: While the availability and variety of food was impressive at first, it quickly turned out that 90% of the buffet was of astonishingly low quality which severly impacted our satisfaction with this hotel. It would be much better to offer fewer items but of good quality. -There were some rather unexpected extra charges for things like using the in-room safe, which were ridiculous. Also, the steep "Climate tax" of 15 Euro per night wasn't helping. Especially since the Hotel in general has a very run-down vibe, requiring renovation and better maintenance to reach the promised 5 stars feel.

The cleaning ladies were absolutely amazing. They always cleaned everything in the room very nicely and were also very friendly and kind. The restaurants (Italian, Greek & Vegan) were all amazing as well. I'd only change the pool temperature, because it was pretty cold.

The hotel does not correspond to 5 stars, maximum 3. It is very old. The rooms are not clean. The sewage stinks in the rooms and on the territory. The food is not tasty and not varied. Every day the same. You cannot drink carbonated drinks for breakfast, even if you have all-inclusive. The staff is not friendly. One plus is that the sea is very beautiful. I do not recommend it.

Lovely holiday, its a very nice resort, rooms were clean, food was delicious, beautiful clear sea although it is a little bit colder as there is a stream coming in from the mountains but you could feel it only in the morning. Also the animators group were fantastic especially Mario! There is a power station near by but honestly we could not hear anything and apart from the visual sight from the beach there is nothing to worry about. Great place for families with children. You need to understand the greek rating system for hotels so that you don't get a nasty surprise. They focus a lot on the space in the rooms, and not on the actual state of the hardware and functionality - i.e. the rooms are spacious, have AC (but the AC is old), the furniture is there but is old and outdated, the beds are there (in our case: a double bed in good condition and 2 twin beds which are low quality). The food was good, everything fresh, clean (but old cutlery 😁), sheets changed daily, swimming pools clean, beach clean and so on. Overall a pleasant experience. But the 4 star rating is more suited than the 5 stars claimed.

Huge disappointment! Not a 5 star hotel, maybe 3 stars at most. Rooms are old and depressing with bad smell. The beds are extremely non comfortable - like sleeping on a cardboard. Breakfast is big but low quality, everything I tried was not good. Left the breakfast hungry. Do yourselves a favor and don’t ruin your vacation by staying here. There are much better hotels in Crete.

We spent a lovely vacation at the Peninsula Resort & Spa in Crete. The resort itself is beautiful, with well-kept grounds and a relaxing atmosphere. The food was truly excellent – delicious, varied, and always fresh. We also appreciated the three beach access points, although it was a bit disappointing that you have to pay for sunbeds at all of them. The poolside sunbeds, however, are free, and we enjoyed spending time there. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the private pool connected to our room – it made our experience extra special. On the downside, we had a big issue with small mosquitoes in our room. They were everywhere, even crawling on our faces while we were sleeping. After complaining to the reception three times, they finally sprayed the bathroom with insecticide. Unfortunately, that left about 100 dead mosquitoes stuck to the tiles and ceiling, which weren’t cleaned up until two days later, despite housekeeping coming in between. All in all, we had a very nice stay, but we hope the hotel improves pest control and room cleaning in the future.

We stayed here for 4 nights with my friend. Positives: • The food was always fresh, tasty, and varied every day. • The staff are very friendly and helpful. • The beach bar makes really good cocktails, and we even received a coupon for 4 free cocktails. • The location is beautiful, with lovely views. • The hotel has two swimming pools for adults and 2–3 direct accesses to the beach, which is very convenient. Negatives: • Our room door didn’t close properly as it was hanging. • There were no basic amenities in the room such as shampoo, toothpaste, slippers, or hair conditioner. For a 4-star hotel in this price range, we expected these to be provided. • The fitness room is very small, only allows 2 people at a time, and you have to book in advance. Unfortunately, we were not informed about this beforehand. • The hotel seems to be mostly tailored for French-speaking guests. Almost all activities and entertainment were in French, which was disappointing, as there were also many non-French-speaking tourists. Overall, we enjoyed our stay thanks to the food, location, and friendly staff, but we believe the hotel could improve by providing more international-oriented activities and better in room amenities

We stayed at the Peninsula Hotel in Crete for 10 nights in August as a family of four and had a wonderful time. The location is stunning, with sea views all around and beaches just minutes away on either side. The hotel also has a platform with sun loungers, perfect for snorkelling. Our bungalow was quiet with beautiful sea views. While the first bedroom is darker with no windows, it was fine for sleeping. The food was excellent, reflecting the largely French guest base, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Entertainment is mostly in French and limited for children, so families may want to plan their own activities. Crete is beautiful — we recommend hiring a car to explore lakes, swim with turtles, visit waterparks, and discover amazing beaches.

Wonderful if isolated resort hotel. Food was better than expected, but I'm used to terrible American fare. Resort staff was as attentive and helpful. Rooms are clean. TVs could be bigger though.

The worst food from all the hotels I've been - dirty toitets everywhere - in order to visit all the beaches you have to walk and walk and walk, e.g. no elevator for Tsimento beach - no toilet on the beach (again you have to walk via stairs a lot in order to get to the toilet) - "stone" pillows impossible to sleep - you cannot visit one of the hotel beaches for fee, you have to buy smth at the bar - walls are made of very cheap materials, as result you hear literally everything summary: the worst hotel I've ever been (especially regarding food)

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The room itself was disappointing, as it had quite a lot of bugs. I booked a room with a private pool, which sounded amazing, but in reality, the pool only got sun in the morning. The water was very cold, and there were no sunbeds to relax by the pool, which made it less enjoyable. On the positive side, the food was good. However, the all-inclusive drinks were a letdown. The cocktails included in the package were not good at all, though the beer and wine were decent. Another downside is that there was only one bar serving the entire all-inclusive offer, which felt limited. But you have two bars where you can oder cocktails for around 8€ As for the beach, it was disappointing to learn that the beaches weren’t free. The “Platform” was free but not for all guests and the bar near by isn’t included in the all inclusive package. A don’t recommend this room with private pool.

We had a great time in Peninsula Resort. All staff were very friendly and nice. Separate thank you to the made who were cleaning our room. All our requests were solved easily and fast. The sea was amazing, Tsemento Bar has tasty cocktails

We stayed here for our honeymoon and would 100% recommend Crete and this seaside resort as an excellent place for couples wanting a beautiful place to travel in October time. The resort itself is amazing with great rooms, customer service, a gym, yoga/pilates studio, tennis court and more. The resort is situated a few minutes away from a beautiful beach that is easy for swimming but the resort has a variety of pools as well. We were really impressed by the quality of the all inclusive food but there are a la carte restaurants too. There is a restaurant called Caléa by Gerardo Mettawithin within the hotel which is a really special experience. We will remember our holiday here with fond memories, thank you!

We’ve just returned from a truly wonderful 6-night stay at Seaside A Lifestyle Resort in Crete and honestly, we’re already wishing we were back there with a cocktail in hand! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how spotlessly clean the resort was. Every corner of the grounds, pool areas, restaurants, and our room were immaculately maintained. It was clear that each space was cared for with great pride. Check-in was smooth and luxurious in the beautifully designed reception area. The lady on reception was very friendly and welcoming, taking the time to explain everything we needed to know and providing a helpful map of the resort. The facilities were excellent whether relaxing by the pool on comfortable sun loungers, enjoying a drink at one of the bars, or exploring the other amenities, everything felt luxurious yet relaxed. Our room overlooked the sea, and it did not disappoint. Waking up to that stunning view each morning was truly special. A huge special thanks to Denys at the bar. Friendly, funny, and genuinely the best bartenders we’ve ever met. He went above and beyond all week, whether it was mixing up a sunset cocktail or bringing us an evening cappuccino (with style). Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. Also, a huge shout-out to George, the bell boy and hands down the best buggy driver around! Always cheerful, chatty, and full of great local tips, he made getting around the resort seamless and fun. Both Denys and George are absolute credits to the resort. We’re so glad we got to meet them and genuinely hope to stay in touch. The buffet food was fantastic fresh, varied, and beautifully presented every day. There was always something new to try, from traditional Greek dishes to international favourites. All in all, Seaside A Lifestyle Resort delivered on every front: cleanliness, service, views, and hospitality. It’s one of those rare places that manages to be both luxurious and laid-back at the same time. We left relaxed, happy, and slightly heartbroken to be heading home. 5 star in every way, thank you for your hospitality.

We would sincerely like to commend all the staffs, particularly Emre, Anna, Elena, Erdogan, Josh and the hardworking staff who cleaned all 80 pools every morning- they were such professional, full of sincerity and that special human touch. Even all the staffs at the restaurants were filled with a sense of duty and all smiles. I would think that its the company culture and leadership that had cascaded down to your entire team. Many Congratulations! You guys are the first hotel which I can proudly say that You Walk The Talk. Seaside staff are THE BEST! The surprise upgrade to the pool suite was such generosity,we couldn’t thank you enough. The view is so amazing at every corner, and all inclusive is such value for money. We are coming back in Spring & Autumn 2026 , and have told all our friends to forget about Amalfi , just come to Seaside. Food & Bars: The main restaurant was good, and there are three à-la-carte restaurants. For stays of 3 nights or more, one dinner at an à-la-carte restaurant is supposed to be included, but online booking only allows it from 7 nights. After asking, staff helped us book, but unfortunately they reserved the second-to-last night instead of our final evening. ➜ Positive note: They handled the mistake very well, and we were allowed to enjoy the dinner on our last evening after all. Bars were good. Service: Friendly and helpful throughout. Room & Facilities: Babymoon gift was unfortunately an alcoholic bottle of wine. Our private pool required cleaning on request and was extremely cold, making it unusable—the public pool and the sea were much better. Technical & Cleanliness Issues: Weak Wi-Fi, drinks not replenished, and numerous power outages—almost a dozen in total. Most lasted around 5 seconds, several up to 2–3 minutes, and on our last day, while packing, the power failed completely. The toilet also began to bubble and smelled of sewage afterwards. Overall: Good food and friendly service, but far too many technical and organizational issues for a 5-star resort. Because we booked a private pool suite, the price was absolutely not worth it.

One longer review for a absolutely best stay I had so far. I live in Lithuania, we do not have this kind of ultra inclusive hotels. This is our third stay at UAI, first time was Turkey, second Spain, third this one. Main difference, no children, no screaming, just nature. Our room was 51x, so it was further away from the restaurants, evening bar and music are, so all day long it is so quiet, you forget you are staying at hotel. 10 points for the quiet experience. Not once I went to the main areas to lay by main pools. Our room had two chairs outside and two beds to lay in a sun. As we stayed on october, pool water is kinda cold, but wasn't a problem for us. The few times you might see that this hotel accomodates a lot of people are at breakfast, lunch or dinner. What I love about food here. We came on monday, stayed until sunday, everyday a lot of different and new choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner. DESERTS are so good, feels like you are eating them in top class desert shop. Most of people will find what they would like here for sure. 10 out of 10. Weather on october Perfect, all days sunny, mid days sun is kinda hot, in shadow you feel the breeze. SPA experience. I went three times. For me it was best massages I had even compared to local places in my living city Vilnius. 10 out of 10 STAFF. THE ABSOLUTELY BEST THING there is in this hotel. Everybody is so kind, polite, friendly and smiles so much. I work as a photographer and I met a lot of people working at hospitality at 4 and 5 stars. This staff is on another level. You guys are insane and very awesome. 20 out of 10.

I’ve stayed at many hotels with beautiful views, but Seaside Hotel easily tops them all. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. The value for money is incredible. Spacious rooms, a unique and relaxing vibe throughout, amazing saltwater pools with plenty of sunbeds, and a design that shows real attention to detail. Everything looks and feels perfect. The cocktails were a lovely surprise too, top-quality ingredients, the same you’d expect from a proper cocktail bar, all included in the stay! The staff were exceptional: attentive, friendly, always smiling and genuinely relaxed. We had great conversations with them, and at the bars and restaurants we never waited more than a minute to have our order taken. Such a smooth and welcoming experience. The food was out of this world. The main buffet restaurant offered both incredible selection and quality, easily on par with many high-end à la carte restaurants you’d find in a big city. We also got to dine at three of the hotel’s à la carte restaurants, all included in the stay. Oceano had stunning views, Minoan offered an amazing local vibe and flavors, and Umi, wow! Umi was easily one of the top 5 restaurants I’ve ever eaten at; it could be famous on its own in any major city. The facilities were equally impressive. The gym had a beautiful view and was very well equipped, and there were tennis, paddle, and basketball courts available. The yoga shala was a real gem, we joined a few guided yoga and sound healing sessions that were truly special. Overall, everything about our stay was perfect — from the people to the food, the design, and the atmosphere. Seaside Hotel sets a new standard for what a five-star experience should be. We chose this hotel because of its beautiful natural surroundings and great location – which turned out to be the only truly positive aspect of the entire stay. Unfortunately, everything else was a major disappointment. The hotel advertises itself as a 5-star property, but in reality, it doesn’t meet even a 3-star standard. The photos online are misleading – they look nice but don’t reflect the actual condition of the place. For this reason, we are attaching real photos showing the true state of the hotel. ⸻ 🧼 Cleanliness and Room Maintenance: • Floors were mopped daily, but only superficially – even on the first day, our socks turned black after just 5 minutes. • Sinks and bathroom fixtures were cleaned only on the surface. • The toilet seat in our room was broken. • Shower gel and shampoo were not refilled until we disassembled the dispensers ourselves. Only then, upon request, were they replenished by housekeeping. • Mirrors in the room were rusty and unmaintained. • The minibar was not restocked daily, contrary to what the tour operator claimed. It was only done upon guest request. ⸻ 🚽 Public Toilets: • Toilets near the main restaurant were in poor, dirty, and partly rusted condition. • The gym toilet was in terrible shape – basically just an unfinished wall and no usable mirror. • Beach toilets were in extremely unsanitary condition. ⸻ 🏖️ Pools, Surroundings, and Sunbeds: • Pools were unsanitary, with blackened walls, missing tiles, and general grime. • The kids’ pool was dirty and the painted surface was peeling. • Sunbeds were torn – some were completely unusable. ⸻ 👶 Children’s Entertainment: • The only activity for children after 6 p.m. was a short 30-minute mini disco. • After 6 p.m., there were no activities for kids at all. Pools with slides closed at 5:45 p.m., and the playroom and other facilities were also shut down by 6 p.m. ⸻ 🍽️ Food: • The food was decent, but extremely repetitive – the same choices every day, which became boring quickly. ⸻ 💶 Extra Charges: • We were not informed in advance about additional charges. • Upon arrival, we were required to pay €35 per person, including for a 4-year-old child, which seemed unreasonable. ⸻ 📸 Conclusion: This hotel does not meet the standards of a 5-star resort. The maintenance of both outdoor and indoor areas is clearly lacking, with many facilities left damaged or neglected – and in some cases, even unsafe. Beautiful nature and good weather were the only redeeming factors – but you can find that even in a more modest, cheaper hotel without the misleading 5★ label. We are attaching real photos so that other travelers know what to expect.

We paid €2160 for our holiday at this 5-star resort. Unfortunately, our first impression was very disappointing. We arrived late at night, around 10 PM, and were given a room that smelled strongly of dust and mold, more like a 1-star room. With a 1 year and 3 months old baby, it was very difficult to spend the night there. The next morning, we went to the reception to ask for a change. At first, we were told to wait until 11 AM, and then again that no other rooms were available until the next day. With three families and small children, this was unacceptable. After insisting firmly, we finally managed to get different rooms. However, the attitude of the receptionist was unprofessional—he even raised his voice and told us we had booked the cheapest rooms, which was not what we expected from a 5-star hotel. The accommodation facilities definitely feel old and in need of renovation. On the positive side, the food was truly exceptional, and the chefs were outstanding. The restaurant staff was kind, attentive, and always ready to prepare special meals for our child with lactose and gluten intolerance. The beach was beautiful, with amazing views, lots of greenery, and everything was very clean. The housekeeping ladies were also very sweet and helpful. Overall, the resort has wonderful potential thanks to its location, food, and staff in the restaurant, but the rooms and reception service need major improvement.

We chose this hotel for its location near a scuba diving centre (Diver’s Club Crete, a 4-min walk from the hotel along the public beach), its facilities for children (kids’ club, mini disco, kids’ pools) and the all-inclusive dining. It satisfied our expectations on all three counts. Unexpected extras were a free room upgrade, and the ability to use the spa facilities throughout the entirety of our stay, after booking just one massage. It was amazing to be able to spend the peak heat hours of the afternoons in the spa’s indoor pool with our toddler, and this greatly improved the quality of our stay. The a la carte restaurants were lovely and the booking process was easy, although in the end we preferred the convenience and variety of the buffet. There were some disappointments too - the kids’ disco was sometimes extremely loud (90-95dB) when they used a large speaker, and our toddler ended up leaving early. On some days they didn’t have their large speaker and used a small one which was quiet, these days were great. The kids club was good for a small child accompanied by parents/grandparents - an indoor place to hide from the sun and play with toys. However, the few older kids we saw there alone were really left alone, the staff were not providing any entertainment or activities and it just seemed very sad and lonely for those kids. The toys were also disorganised and the staff did not seem to do any tidying - even though the club was almost empty during the 2 weeks we were there. To end on a high, the kids’ pool was brilliant with a small splash pad where toddlers could run and swim independently, a deeper pool for older kids, and a yet deeper pool with a fun big slide. There is also a larger pool nearby with two bigger slides, which was fun for us grown ups. Additionally, both the private and public beach have a good number of fish right by the shore, which was great for snorkelling.

We were generally very pleased with our stay at Out of the Blue Resort in Crete. We were kindly upgraded to an en-suite room with a shared private pool and a secluded garden with loungers. The suite was very spacious, beautifully designed, and the housekeeping was excellent. Customer service was good, and it was easy to book à la carte restaurants. The ladies at guest services did their best to assist with reservations, and each restaurant offered a unique design, a balanced menu, and attentive service. The kids’ club facilities were also very impressive. Our 2-year-old loved the kids’ disco, but the volume was often higher than comfortable for children, and staff didn’t adjust it despite parents’ requests. Entertainment, however, felt a bit underdeveloped and was not available every day. On the positive side, the spa is highly recommended, and the resort is a wonderful place to unwind. Yoga lessons were enjoyable, though offered only three times a week and scheduled at 8 am, which unfortunately coincided with breakfast time. The beach is not the strongest point: the public sandy beach is quite narrow and lacks facilities, while the private beach has good facilities and a nice bar/restaurant for lunch but no sand (although the water was very clean). My only real complaint is that hot drinks like coffee and tea were not included at lunch and dinner in the buffet restaurant — surprising for an all-inclusive resort. Also, the landscape is quite hilly; although golf cart service is available, it can be hard to get one at busy check-in/check-out times, and waiting can take much longer than the 5–10 minutes promised. Walking is often faster, but those with mobility issues should be prepared for delays. Overall, this is a beautiful resort with excellent service, impressive facilities, and plenty of opportunities to relax, with just a few areas that could be improved.

We had a great experience in the hotel, with a baby and a 3yo. The food was amazing and great service. It is a very big place so a lot to explore in the hotel, we haven’t left the hotel for the whole week. Not very updated, at least not where we hosted, so don’t expect a high end vibe, but didn’t bother us at all.

Amazing stay! The restaurant service was outstanding – seated right away, no waiting, and the waiters were fast, friendly, and had everything perfectly under control. We were fortunate to receive a room with one of the most beautiful view in this resort. For early arrivals or late departures, I strongly recommend requesting a similar room in advance, the front desk staff is understanding and attentive. The last week of August gifted us perfect weather: gentle breeze, clear skies, and a pleasantly mild climate. The transfer was smooth, even at midnight, and overall, the logistics of the stay were very well managed. The location is truly idyllic. However, the resort suffers from overcrowding, even though several wings appear to be out of use and old. Sunbeds are hard to find unless you go early in the morning, and mealtimes can involve queues. There is no air conditioning or ventilation in the bathrooms, hallways, or elevators, and Wi-Fi connectivity is unreliable. Yet what gives this place its true color is its people. Mrs. Eleni at the lobby bar has a unique way of making everyone feel seen, her presence is warm, elegant, and respectful. And Vlad, the photographer, with his discreet professionalism and friendly energy, turned ordinary moments into meaningful memories. With well-directed investment, this resort could become a sanctuary of refinement and serenity. For now, it remains a special place, where nature speaks softly, but peace still waits to be found!

We are still here. Everything was perferct, even I have special needs. Receptionists were very kind to me and my family and found perfect room for my needs. Big thanks. Every member of the staff was kind and smiling. Food was great and enough amount for everyone. It was a little different every day. Everyone can find his taste. Cleaning staff was precise and discrete. View od the room was stunning.

The rooms are modern, there is a lot of space in the hotel itself, the territory is clean, beautiful, it is not long to walk to the sea, literally 5-7 minutes. We booked this hotel as -All Inclusive -package First hotel that we went and asked for a bottle of water in the room and been told that they don’t have bottles and if we like to go to the shop and buy( we arrived midnight) Later we asked for beach/pool towels And same again , they don’t offer towels … if we like go to the shop and buy Rooms are clean, but very small Tv channels very few around 20 Breakfast is tasty but the space where the buffet is , very tiny, people bump into each other Food is great, the view from the restaurant is lovely too The restaurant and bar staff they are excellent very helpful and hard working But the biggest dissapoiment is that we came to Crete /Greece and the only music you listen at the hotel is french music No greek music No greek athmosphere!!!

The location is great. The beach is just down the road. The service at the restaurant and the different bars were very kind and always smiling. One of the receptionists was slightly rude but did not pay too much attention to her. Our bedroom was very spacious for a family of 4. Our shower was weird... there was no holder to hand the shower head. You have to hold it while rinsing your hair. The hotel was recently refurbished, so there are various areas in the hotel where the ground is not level. Lots at steps in the restaurant, too. Also, there is a blue neon around the balconies. Only goes off at 00h30 automatically for everyone. It's really unnecessary.

Please be aware most of the guests in this hotel are French do not visit if you are English all the entertainment is in French so you are made to feel very uncomfortable my son was very upset he couldn't join in any activities, the drinks are awful u have to pay for spirits although the food was ok most of the staff are rude and look miserable, we went to the waterpark and the water was green

Pros: The hotel room was lovely and clean, the pools were nice and we really enjoyed the water park. The entertainers are amazing although it is quite geared towards French people. The food was nice although quite repetitive. Cons: We found the staff to be a bit rude at points. When inquiring about late check out - they did not seem to want to help at all (and we asked on 3 occasions).The drinks were not very nice, the wine smelt funny and juice was watered down. Would definitely recommend going to Bali beach and doing the Santa Maria boat trip!!

Amazing hotel. The food is diverse, for anyone and everyone, very delicious! The rooms are clean, we had cleaning service every two days, and all was great here. The hotel is close to the beach, has various activities and is suitable for visitors of any age. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are nuances like no hair dryer in the room, but I am a spoiled child by Turkey hotels, which are just different, so probably for Europe 4 star they have all that is needed. I read many reviews about hotel and got surprised by complaints about food or cleanness, as that was probably the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. Thanks, Atali❤️

Staff were super friendly and went above and beyond. Hotel was modern, big and had lots of pools. Rooms were clean and fresh. Restraunt for all inclusive was lovely! Views were also great looking onto beach while eating. Would definitely recommend. The only things to improve would be that by 9am all sunbeds was taken. I think staff should go around and remove towels from reserved beds. You could only use the pool bar to get all inclusive drinks. It would’ve been better if you could use the other bars part of all inclusive. Overall great stay and would definitely recommend!

Large resort hotel in Platanias village right next to the beach. The hotel is spread over a huge area, with many room types to choose from in several buildings. There are several smaller and larger pools between the buildings, which are not heated. Unfortunately, hotel guests "reserve" the sunbeds in the morning, so it often happened that although there was no one in the pools and around them, we still couldn't find a free sunbed. The sea-view rooms are spacious and have a kitchenette. Their terraces open onto the hotel's beach or a small fishing port. There are also rooms overlooking the pools or the main road or in quieter corners of the hotel. The staff is polite, helpful, and friendly. The service includes breakfast and all-inclusive. We paid for breakfast. The breakfast buffet offers a range of dishes in line with general European trends, supplemented by a few Greek specialties. Hotel guests also have access to a moderately equipped fitness room and a spa area available for a fee. We spent a very pleasant week in the off-season at the hotel. Thank you!

We were moved from the village resort to the beach resort due to being under subscribed at the end of the season. We were worried as we booked there for the water park but on jet 2 looking into it they were keeping the park open with the rest of the resort shutting. Fine print though states both resorts have to pay extra for the water park at €15 per person. We did use it one day and as the resort was shut there was only one other family there, only downside was we couldn’t use the shop as it had closed down for the season but the main rd is very close. The beach resort is lovely, clean and the rooms are clean and can be cleaned daily. The food is lovely but it’s the same things every night with a very small variation so does get a bit boring by day 5-6. Pools are very cold apart from one which is heated. Beach is on the doorstep but you have to pay for the beds and drinks. If you’re a white wine drinker, find something else, it’s not nice. Buses to chania are very frequent but very busy so be prepared to wait as they will just drive on.

We stayed at this hotel from September 29th to October 6th 2025. We had a two-level Maisonette room. The room was fairly clean but old. The lighting was inconvenient, there weren't enough sockets and hooks for towels, and there weren't even any shoehorn and slippers. You have to pay for the safe box, which is very strange, but the most outrageous thing is that we also have to pay for sun loungers, even though we bought all-inclusive. This was disappointing. The waiters in the restaurant were slow to take away dirty dishes from the tables. There wasn't much food after dinner, and they wouldn't give it to you even if you be all-inclusive. The bartenders at the pool bar were greedy and would make you a cocktail without a tip, treating you like you are a piece of shit. I wanted to throw a slipper at them, but I held back. I would never return to this hotel and I wouldn't recommend anyone stay there until they change their “policy” towards guests. The hotel management apparently doesn't understand that it's 2025 now, not 2005, and they're losing out to Turkish hotels.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. It is definitely not a five-star property – at best, it could be rated three stars due to the lack of professionalism among the staff and the overall poor management. During my stay, I experienced unacceptable behavior from hotel employees, which should never happen in a place that presents itself as a luxury resort. In addition, the food on the buffet was repeatedly mislabeled or not labeled at all, creating a serious risk for guests with food allergies. Overall, this was a deeply disappointing experience. For the price and the promises of a five-star standard, I expected much more. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who values professionalism, safety, and respect for guests.

Total disappointed - definitively not a 5*... maybe maximum 3*! A 5-star hotel should never present guests with walls in poor condition, peeling doors, broken tiles, or require maintenance work immediately after check-in. We fully paid for a 5-star service, but the comfort level experienced was closer to 3 stars. The location and the spa resort was great (but not free), but food and rooms details are not recommended. What disappointed us most was not only the condition of the room, but also the lack of a truly customer-oriented attitude from the management and reception team. If you are looking for a luxury 5* hotel to relax, Not recommended - RUN!

⭐ 2 out of 5 I stayed at this hotel recently and unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing — despite a few positive aspects. The good: The location is great. The hotel is clean and well-maintained. The food is decent, although it could definitely be improved. The bad: There’s a daily charge for using the in-room safe — which should be included in the price at a hotel of this level. The room does not have an iron, which can be inconvenient for longer stays. Sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach are not free — you have to pay extra for them. The worst part of my experience was related to the booking. I made my reservation through Expedia, and I clearly paid for an All Inclusive package. However, when I arrived at the hotel, I was told I only had Half Board. It turns out the hotel uses a misleading practice: the booking confirmation email does not specify whether your reservation includes All Inclusive, Half Board, etc. It only shows the room type, number of people, and your name — which can easily cause confusion or worse, be used to deny what you actually paid for. I felt tricked — I trusted Expedia and didn’t double-check the confirmation email in detail, and that was a mistake. I believe this is a form of dishonest behavior from the hotel, and it left a very bad impression. I hope this helps other travelers avoid the same issue. Be very careful and double-check everything when booking this hotel.

This is a great place if you have kids. Very clean, service is attentive and provide a lot. One of our AC was not working and they never got it fixed but otherwise I would definitely go again. Buffet is always varied and many options. Breakfast is not so great. We rented a car which is advisable if you want to see other great beaches on the island but because if the location they are usually over 1.5 hours away.

Just returned from a 10 day stay here and what a fantastic hotel,the rooms(ours anyway,526) were in a cottage style ,simply furnished but with a/c,fridge and a decent shower and comfy bed and a sea view that looked out over the town of Hersonnisos and beyond. Didn't spend much time here in the evenings,they could do with some entertainment around the bar area,although I gather there is nightly kid based entertainment, There are 4 pools to choose from,we spent most of our time around the relax pool,the one afternoon we spent by the main pool you were deafened by the music,poor quality pop covers,there never likely to be music played to my taste but it could be better than this,also so loud it was distorted,that said there were a good range of activities,water polo etc The hotel provide a shuttle bus throughout the day to and from nearby Star beach although you are in no obligation to go in there (we didn't), it's handy to save a late night walk back up the hill All in all I would highly recommend staying here ,it has something for everyone

Rooms are dated but practical. Also food was a downside. I was expecting local cuisine. However the location was absolutely fantastic. Also big shouts for staff especially cleaners as they were always happy and welcoming. The kids really enjoyed the water park. Would recommend

Just had a week staying at the Village Resort and it has been lovely. The resort is perfectly kept and laid out in such a nice village style. We stayed about half way up the hill and had a lovely view of the sea. It’s worth asking for a top floor room as the view is a lot better. The room are in blocks with 3 floors. We spent most of our days at the relax pool which was so nice. There are 3 other area to choose from so something for everyone. The staff are so friendly and efficient. The only thing I would improve would be the food. There were some nice meals but nothing to rave about so we eat out for a couple of meals to get something a bit better.

Great for families. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great variation of food . Had a couple of maintenance issues with room but they sorted it within half an hour . My biggest let down is the alcoholic beverages . Even though they tasted good sadly the alcohol content was pretty low which according to a trip advisor reply from the resort was it is in compliance with Greek govt rules for all inclusive. Our apartment was in the number 900s which is at the top of a steep hill . However a golf cart style buggy will take you up the hill if you ask at reception. Entertainment was great for kids under 10 years old . Adult entertainment was a bit bland as young children were always present despite the entertainment starting at 9.15pm. There's a free shuttle bus that runs from the hotel to Star Beach regularly .

In a beautiful location, however the rooms and some of the staff really do not live up to the supposed 4 star rating. The first night we arrived we were given a ground floor double room with garden view. This room was crawling with bugs and ants and was reminiscent of a prison cell. We went to reception to tell them the issue and they sent a security man down to spray the room with potent bug spray. We were left waiting outside the room at 3am. When we returned to the room more bugs were crawling, out of the pillows, in the bathroom and on the walls. Ourselves and another couple in the same situation went to reception again to be told that we would have to pay 100-150€ to change room or speak to the booking manager in the morning. We sat in reception as the rooms were not suitable to sleep in. We were given another room for one night eventually. We spoke to a TUI rep the next morning (really fantastic staff and can't thank them enough!) Who made sure we could keep the new room without additional pay. The rest of the holiday went well, the bar and kitchen staff at the hotel are super friendly. However, on the last day while we were out of the room (there is no sign or way to refuse room service if you are not there) my friends smart watch disappeared from the table, this was mentioned to reception when we checked out, asking if it was found could we be contacted. The receptionist said that all the cleaning staff had been there 15-20 years so it wasn't stolen and that my friend obviously lost it. The attitude of a few staff during our stay has tainted the experience. I would not book again.

Great hotel in a great location whether you are staying on-site or going out. The Facilities are clean. Any issues, for example a bulb went in our room, sorted very quickly. The food is very good, whether you like a plate of plain pasta and brown food or you like fresh fruit and veg and a bit of variety. The entertainer crew are very friendly and provide a little fun for everyone. At times the pool got a bit crowded, like when the slides shut, but it was never unpleasant. We were in a room at the very top of the hill and after 2 or 3 plates of food and pudding at each meal time, the exercise was very much needed. No complaints there

Resort is set in a beautiful location and is kept immaculate. The sea views are amazing, the pools are outstanding. The rooms showing signs of age but nevertheless very nice. Buffet style eating which to be honest reminded me of a butlins holiday but food was varied and tasty. Staff are very helpful and friendly, especially the bar staff who really do go above and beyond to make your stay special. Very nice place.

Cannot complain about the location, really beautiful place. Staff were mostly fantastic. Room was tired and needs updating. No water left in room, all bars closed upon arrival and therefore nothing to eat or drink upon arrival. Food was fine. Not a good selection at all, very small offering. I survived on greek salad and grilled fish. Baklava excellent! Lots of weird rules around the All Inc. Several tiers for drinks, which I have never seen before, seemed very odd. Late checkout expensive at €80. Cannot continue to use AI when have checked out, which I have never seen before at an AI. All in all, I had a nice time here. But I wouldn't come back. Other places available for much better, for less money.

Brilliant hotel. We’ve stayed here for a week. It’s right by 2 beaches, one sand and one stone. There’s multiple pools too. The views are absolutely stunning. The staff here are great. There is a slight hill up to the hotel but we didn’t find this a problem. The only slight room for improvement would be the food. It was nice but sometimes the salad was dry and the meals didn’t change much over the week. The restaurant staff were lovely though, hard-working, and they catered really well for us with our toddler. Whilst there’s lots of people here, we’ve found where our room is so peaceful.

Really amazing resort! The location and views are beautiful. The staff, restaurants and pools are really really nice. The only reason it's not 5 five stars is because most of the buildings and rooms starting to be a bit outdated. It didn't hinder our experience, but e.g. our room wasn't really new / luxurious, which you might expect for the price you are paying

I would give this hotel NO stars if I could. Photos shown probably by owners are totally false, none of the rooms look like that. You walk into the lobby/reception area and think this looks nice that's where it ends. The 1st red flag was the key, actual key to get into your room, which modern hotels have keys anymore. The hotel is dated. The 1st room we were shown to was too small, dark and dingy, disgusting bathroom. The next room we were shown was marginally better but this is not a 4 star hotel, 2-3 at best. The bathroom was too small, was dirty and smelly. What they don't show you in the pictures is the sign on the toilet telling you not to put toilet tissue down the toilet but in the bin next to it absolutely disgusting. Old fashioned hair dryer like something from the 50's totally useless. The furniture was naff and dated. Not enough space to put our clothes for a 10 day stay. No constant hot running water so could only take a shower certain times of the day. No drinking water on offer not even on arrival had to constantly buy our own. The food was boring, bland and cold most of the time. The evening entertainment was none existing, some old guy usually singing terribly on a electric organ. Location was terrible miles from best bits of Agios Nicolas and a constant hike up a steep slope to get to the hotel. Probably one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. The only good thing about this hotel was the view. It's a very strange horrible hotel. Avoid at all costs.

Stayed at Blue Bay Resort Hotel in Crete for two weeks and overall had a lovely holiday. The hotel itself is clean and well kept, and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, which really makes a difference. The pools are a bit on the small side, but still nice for a quick swim or to cool off. The sea is about an 8-minute walk away, which is great if you prefer the beach. Food-wise, it’s average: there’s enough choice at the buffet, but the quality isn’t quite what you’d expect from a 4-star hotel. The desserts, on the other hand, are exceptional. We stayed in a two-room suite with a jacuzzi on the balcony, which was a really nice touch and made our stay feel extra special. All in all, it’s a beautiful place for a relaxing holiday, but there’s still a bit of room for improvement, especially when it comes to the food.

*We spend in this hotel 7 nights all inclusive. -Delicious food, big selection of meat from chicken, pork, beef, turkey to deer. Fresh salads, delicious types of any kind of cheese . Big choice of wines and other drinks. I was missing only freshly squeezed orange juice, but it wasn’t something that I would cry about. -Extremely friendly and helpful stuff. -Our friends in the beginning were not happy with their room but after conversation with receptionist we all received proposition of upgrade from 2 rooms to 1 room with jacuzzi - amazing ! The only small thing I would change was the “disco light” in jacuzzi - too strong and too flashy. Thank you ! We really enjoyed our time in your hotel. P.S Please let know chef that his burgers were 10/10 as he asked for the opinion :)

We visited Blue Bay Resort in May, it was a nice resort, rooms were clean, staff were generally good, location was quiet, but not a lot nearby. Biggest downside was the food, there was not a lot of choice the food was the same day after day and gluten free options were limited. We did find out on day 5 of 9 that we could ask for special gluten free options in the restaurant which were very nice, but we made them aware my wife was gluten free at the start so were disappointed it took 5 days to make us aware of this as it only came up because I rated them 7/10. This was a huge disappointment, would've made a big difference to have known this at the start. Entertainment was very hit and miss and not a lot of it.

Had a great stay at this hotel in Creta! The location is nice, just a 10-minute walk to a small beach that’s perfect for relaxing or snorkeling. The staff were friendly and always ready to help with anything. We enjoyed a room with a beautiful view of the sea, which was a real highlight. The only downside was that it could get a bit noisy at night due to people passing through the corridor, but it wasn’t a big issue. The food was tasty with lots of variety. It did get a bit repetitive after a few days, but there was always something good to choose from. There are several swimming pools around the property, and if you're looking for a quieter vibe, you can use the pools in the annex areas.

I stayed at the Blue Bay Resort Hotel in Agia Pelagia for two weeks, and unfortunately, my experience was below expectations. First, the cleaning service was poor – bed sheets were not changed every two days as per their policy, and the general level of cleanliness did not reflect a 4-star hotel. Basic toiletries like shampoo were only provided on the first day, despite the length of our stay and our requests. The food was very repetitive. Leftovers seemed to be reused in new dishes simply by adding sauces. While not inedible, it quickly became unappetizing. By the second week, I had to eat out most nights due to the lack of variety and declining quality. The noise at night was another serious issue. After a disco event, people stayed around the pool making noise until 3 a.m., and the hotel made no effort to enforce quiet hours. The included airport transfer, which was a key reason I booked the hotel, turned out to be misleading. While pickup was provided, I was forced to pay for the return taxi to the airport, even though my booking stated both transfers were included. The car rental service they recommended was subpar – the vehicle was old and poorly maintained. The personnel working at the spa and reception were friendly and the quality of their massages was good and this is the only reason I am giving two stars. Overall, the hotel felt like it was cutting corners wherever possible. I expected a relaxing holiday, but instead was left somehow frustrated and disappointed. Sadly not worth the price or the star rating it claims to have. UPDATE: I have just read the hotel's response, and as with other negative reviews, they refer to information supposedly available on their website or in the terms and conditions. Unfortunately, their conduct and responses on-site tell a different story. One detail I omitted from my original review is that the hotel requested full payment three to four days before the free cancellation period expired—a request I found both unusual and unprofessional. Despite my reservations, I complied. In hindsight, I should have trusted my instincts and canceled the booking in favor of another option. As the hotel's response remains unsatisfactory, I have decided to lower my rating to 1 star.

Me and my partner stayed here for 6 nights at the beggining of September. While reading the reviews before flying out we honestly was sceptical however it succeeded all are expectations. Every staff member we came across was so lovely and helped us whenever we needed, the rooms were cleaned every day and very modern! The hotel was a lovely size and even though it was just us to we would recommend for family’s definitely. The drinks for the all inclusive was Raki and Ouzi and even though we saw moaning reviews we tried them all they was very good. Overall for are first holiday it was an amazing experience.

People working there are amazing, very kind and helpful. The meals were satisfactory good. The hotel doesn't look like have 5 star, but anyway I think I can really reccomed it.

We stayed at the Sitia Beach Resort & Spa, which is still advertised as a five-star hotel – maybe it was 15 years ago, but not anymore. The entire complex feels outdated and in need of renovation. We had booked a Maisonette room, but it was dark and located directly by the main pool. It was impossible to open the windows for light or fresh air because of the constant noise and lack of privacy. We asked to change rooms and moved to the main building, which was slightly better, but the bathroom was so tiny that there was no space to put any personal items. We had booked with breakfast, but the food was a major disappointment: mostly industrial, frozen products simply warmed up by the kitchen – far from what you’d expect from a hotel in this category. Overall, we left one day earlier than planned, disappointed and relieved to go home. Definitely not worth the five stars or the price.

We had a lovely vacation here. ❤️ 1. The staff (receptionists, servers, housekeeping, maintenance, spa, stores) were very , very kind and accommodating to our needs. 2. The food selection was a good change to what we usually have. We’re very big foodies- food was well cooked, and had good, unique flavours imo. If you enjoy spicy food, you’d probably need to bring something additional as the flavours are light. 3. The hotel had a trivia night, and while it wasn’t in English, I guess it was somewhat fun to watch from afar and figure out what was happening and put some of our learnt vocabulary to use. I do wish there was also an English transcription for the game nights but no biggie. 4. The spa staff were very lovely! Got a massage and felt really great after, not sore. The masseuse made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. 5. The hotel itself was clean, smelt great. The pools were clean and surrounding nature was well maintained. The buffet/food area was also very clean. Overall, a positive experience and honestly, would visit again!❤️

Two types of meat, sometimes fish in the evening if you’re lucky. Nothing flavorful, nothing enjoyable. ⸻ 3. 🪑 Overcrowded Pools — No Sunbeds Available The hotel takes in more guests than it can handle. Most sunbeds around the pools are “reserved” with towels early in the morning — even when the guests don’t show up for hours. The third pool is shallow and clearly meant for kids only. ⸻ 4. 🪨 Misleading Beach Access The so-called “private beach” is rocky, uncomfortable, and always overcrowded. Entering the sea feels like walking on broken stones. I didn’t swim there once. A much better sandy beach is available nearby — but you’ll have to pay for sunbeds. ⸻ 5. 💶 Extra Charges for Basics Paying €200 per night should include basic amenities like a safe, but nope — it costs extra. At this price point, you expect peace of mind, comfort, and decent service — not stress about storing your valuables or finding edible food. ⸻ 6. 🇫🇷 If You’re Not French — You Don’t Matter This hotel caters exclusively to French guests. All entertainment and activities are conducted in French only. If you don’t speak it — too bad. It felt like cultural discrimination, and it was extremely alienating. ⸻ 7. 🍷 Pathetic Alcohol Selection — Not Worth Touching The all-inclusive alcohol is a joke. • Liquor tastes cheap and synthetic — like it came from the bottom shelf of a discount store. • Every cocktail is overly sweet, unbalanced, and practically undrinkable. • Want a mojito? Pay €5. • Wine? Thin and sour. • Water? Not even replenished in your room after cleaning. Only the beer and soft drinks were somewhat tolerable — but even they were low quality. At €200 per night, this is insulting. You’re better off drinking tap water. ⸻ 8. 🎭 Staff Are Fake and Performative The entertainment team puts on a forced, exaggerated show — mainly for French tourists. It felt fake, scripted, and frankly awkward to watch. Their smiles felt rehearsed, not genuine. ⸻ 💡 Final Thoughts: Don’t Waste Your Time I’ve stayed in many hotels — cheaper, more expensive, all better than this one. My advice? Rent a car, book a hotel with breakfast only, and enjoy real Cretan food in local tavernas. You’ll have a far better, more authentic holiday experience than being stuck in a low-quality all-inclusive trap.

Terrible experience. Definitely the quality of service and especially the food is not up to a 5* hotel. It is maybe 2* hotel. Most of the meals are cheap semi-finished products with no idea and with the average taste of a factory canteen that you buy in Lidl. They don't even offer coffee for breakfast and you can only have the one from the vending machine, which makes worse coffee than the average coffee machine you have at home. Most of the drinks, especially the all inclusive ones are post mixes and taste like chemicals. Drinks are amateurishly prepared and taste like sugar with alcohol. Expect to be sick to your stomach the next day. Accommodation overlooking the garden includes a daily wake-up call in the form of a garbage truck at 7am. Don't expect any trust or decency. You will have to fill out paperwork even to get towels, like some kind of thieves. You have to wear an annoying bracelet on your arm like some sort of collared dog for the duration of your stay. You won't feel any more comfortable than you do at home. The hotel staff have a fake smile and make you feel uncomfortable in front of them. If you express dissatisfaction, they start to be rude. Don't expect an apology. In the room there is the cheapest coarse toilet paper and Russian shower gel from KiiltoClean, which irritates our skin and ruins our hair. The zero soundproofing ruins any romance and you won't even get any sleep. Do not believe the positive reviews of this hotel. In my opinion, they may be paid or forced by the Fram agency, perhaps for a discount or forced by hotel staff.

Very descent hotel as for all inclusive formula. Good location and not as crowdy as Chania or Heraklion. Variaty of food, every day You could eat differently. But please learn how to make eggs! Whites can not be raw! This is repelling. Sitia City is very nice. I fully recommend

We could spent an amazing time in this hotel! The atmosphere was so relaxing and nice. This due to the super friendly staff that helped in every way. The breakfast and dinner buffet was very good. There had been so many different options and everything was delicious! The pool and beach areas had been aswell nice with enough sunbeds! Overall, we really recommend it!

The advantage of the hotel is that the accommodation is not in one central building but in many small houses located in a garden full of trees. Everyone has privacy and a pleasant environment on their terraces. A nice maintained beach with umbrellas, sun loungers, showers is part of the hotel area. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. When we arrived at the hotel before 10 am, we were invited to breakfast, which we were not yet entitled to, and a full table of postponed food was waiting for us, because breakfast time was already ending. Possibility to ask for a package in the dining room instead of food when we were not present at the hotel during a day trip. At the end of the holiday, after the rooms were vacated, we were given a free room in the early evening after a whole day on the beach before leaving for the airport to shower and pack our luggage. To one of our questions, we received the answer "Everything is possible here". It really was. A great holiday, I recommend the hotel. Its strong point is its willing people.

The staff behaved impeccably, always kindly and ready to help. 3. Cleaning was another strong point: - Linen and Towels were changed daily, and everything was taken care of. 4. We liked it a lot and the beautiful view and Well-kept garden contributed to the relaxing atmosphere. and negative reviews Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations for a 4-star hotel. 1. The bathroom did not look like in the pictures > instead of a modern shower, I found an old, unhygienic curtain. 2. I booked a room with a double bed, but I received two adjoining mattresses, which split during the night. 3. The room was located close to a very busy street, and the noise was constant - it sounded as if I was sleeping in the street. 4. Under the main door there was a large space, and the general smell in the room was an old, unpleasant one. We didn't feel that the standards of a 4-star hotel We certainly didn't like it, we're not coming back. Personal recommendations Renovate the hotel part or let tourists know that the hotel conditions are not 4 stars.

An incredible experience, a blessing for those looking for a quiet vacation. The food is very good, the hotel concept is very good, you can find a place on the beach and by the pool at any time of the day, thanks to the windy weather that is constantly blowing slightly, you are not overwhelmed by the heat, like a natural air conditioner. The location of the hotel is very good, a short distance from the airport and the city center. The food is very good, the sea is very beautiful. And of course the staff, I would like to thank them one by one, without exception they were all friendly, helpful and good people. They deserve the highest praise. I hope we can meet again soon

Highly recommend you Civitel creta beach. At the beginning i was afraid to take my accommodation there because the reviews are not many ( I mean not thousands of reviews like other hotels), however I risked it and made my reservation, and I want to tell you that it was worth it! Amazing hotel, extremely relaxing, very clean!, no insects ( I saw them putting insecticide everywhere), food is very tasty, the only thing i didn’t like that for half board you don’t have drinks included for dinner. Pool is very clean and big. In general i give a rating of 9.8/10 (because of drinks i put -0.2). It’s Family friendly, enjoy you’re stay, you won’t regret it.

Very nice resort, with a wonderful garden, spacious rooms, very friendly and helpful staff and diverse, tasty food. The only recommendation is to update the bathrooms a bit (they seem quite outdated, with odd smell coming from the pipes and small ants). Also, the doors could use some upgrading (are old and have no insect nets at the balconies). Overall, a great stay for both families and couples.

We stayed in a bungalow for 2 for 9 nights and we are extremely happy with our stay at creta beach! When we first arrived we were greeted by Manos the receptionist who was very helpful and welcoming, since we arrived late at night from the airport he provided us with sandwiches, fruits and drinks since we did miss dinner which was very kind of him! He escorted us to our room in a golf cart with our luggage. As for our bungalow we were given, we were very happy with it, it was modern and spacious with good lighting, full mirrors, a smart tv with a decently sized fridge, AC, and amenities (coffee, tea, hair dryer, toiletries in the bathroom etc) and easy outdoor access to the patio where there are chairs, a table and even a drying rack for clothes The beds and pillows were also comfortable to sleep on. It is also very quiet at night so you will get sleep! The complex is very clean and well taken care of, there are flowers, fruit trees and plants everywhere! Breakfast had a big range of items, with some new food items everyday. I really loved the Greek yoghurt selection and bougatsa - it is plenty and it is also a plus that they have alternative milk options for those who don’t drink dairy milk. The terrace was a lovely place to have breakfast in the morning, overlooking the beach. The buffet staff are the best, always smiling and happy to help and have a chat!! (Special thanks to Mariana, Eleni, Elpida and Michaelis and the others!) Similarly, at dinner there were plenty of options from fish, chicken, turkey, lamb and pork with alternating items daily and a beautiful view of the sunset over the beach from the terrace. There are also cats that wander around during breakfast and dinner which was lovely, it’s like they’re a part of the resort and the staff did not mind which was very cute to see! The pool was clean and never too crowded, sun-beds and parasols are always available. The beach is a few steps away from the pool and buffet area. Option to order food to your sunbed at the beach too. There’s a snack bar which doubles as one of the A la carte restaurants with great staff again, they serve great drinks and give complementary nuts (we did have to pay for drinks and snack food because of the half board option). The room cleaners did a fantastic job! Katerina was mainly cleaning our room and providing us with fresh beach and bath towels/bed sheets. It was always nice to see her smiling and happy. There was a daily itinerary of activities including aerobic exercises in the pool, Pilates, tzatziki cooking classes, archery etc. There’s even a free tennis court (which you need to book) and ping pong table. I enjoyed doing the activities with Vanya, (the activity leader) she has a great energy and it was always nice talking to her! Stayers at the hotel were mostly couples / young or older families. We were given two complementary dinners at their A La carte restaurants which I highly recommend you book. The food was exceptional and greatly presented. We were served by Iannis (one of the managers) and Giorgios who did leave, both gentlemen who have exceptional customer service and were a joy to chat with, thank you gents! Likewise the other receptionists Giorgios and Nico were very helpful and friendly - Nico gave us bottles of olive oil when we were departing which was greatly appreciated! There’s a bus stop right outside the reception which takes you into Heraklion city and back. There’s also souvenir, rental car shops and small supermarkets (which sell bus tickets) that sell everything you’d need right on the other side of the street from the resort. There’s also a lively taverna right opposite the gate. Overall we really loved our stay here, the facilities are very clean and well kept, and the staff are extremely reliable and feel like family to us! I would definitely come back here and recommend this resort to anyone wanting to stay in the area. A big big thank you to all the staff for making our holiday fabulous!

Excellent hotel. Staffs are extremely helpful, rooms properly cleaned every day. The food variety was just exquisite. I want to particularly mention the outstanding staffs like Dimitri , Manoli and the rest. I would definitely be coming back here.

We stayed as a party of four (3 generations:16 - 73) across 2 rooms for 11 nights. The arrangements, food, staff and facilities were all excellent. The resort is large with a range of activities for all. Venturing off site, within walking distance at least, offered very little variety, but decent enough. We were situated in the rooms at the top of the resort which required transport because of the steep incline,. The transport worked well in the afternoon, but mornings seemed disorganised. 3 nights into the stay we had 3 groups boys arrive on our shared terrace of rooms, which proved to be noisy with music from portable speakers (they did turn down when asked) and noise due to coming back to their apartments between 0400 and 0500. Whilst this wasn’t really the youngsters fault, it did surprise us from this resort. I mention this because it will be the aspect that stops me booking this otherwise fantastic resort again.

Stayed at the grand hotel for 9 days on a HB basis, first the hotel and grounds are absolutely spotless very clean . Nice to have a pool area where no children are allowed and no ball games nice and quiet, the other pools are more catered for families also the water slides are very good. No problem getting sunbeds and no issue with people reserving them with towels first thing in the morning. The food is varied and plentiful and service in the restaurant is very good. Entertainment I thought could have been better. Hotel provides a shuttle bus to the beach throughout the day, but you can walk in to town in 15min, also the hotel is on a steep incline so if you are bad at walking it's a climb, but the hotel has a on call vehicle to get you to your room. The hotel was quiet and the outside snack bar was closed, so if I was on a AI package I would have been disappointed. Me and my wife had a massage at the spa, and victoria the therapist who I had was very good and very professional, probably one of the best massages I've ever had, Georgia did my wife's massage and again my wife thought it was heaven. Location of the hotel is ok once you get to know the area, and would definitely recommend.

For a 4 star resort , I have nothing to complain about! The food was great with lots of variety and most of the staff were so kind. The pools were clean and the hotel is close to Stalida and Malia for visiting! Highly reccomend

The hotel is not up to par with hotels in 2025. The rooms are very small. The beds are uncomfortable and worst of all is the service. All the hotel employees look like they were forced to work. The food in the dining room is mediocre and not recommended. The prices of drinks in the dining room are excessive. Do yourself a favor and choose another hotel

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel after reading some of the reviews before our stay. The hotel was a bit dated but our rooms were spacious and clean and there were plenty of places throughout the hotel to sit for a drink (sofas in the lobby, etc). We enjoyed the food - there were plenty of options and the food was always hot and getting replenished when stocks were low. We mostly ate lunch by the beach bar and enjoyed the fresh pizzas they made from scratch. The food was quite similar each day but that’s what you get from an all inclusive hotel but we found there was enough variety to keep us happy. We were disappointed by the a la carte Greek food at the hotel which you have to book in advance and preferred the buffet food. The location was great , right by a bus stop so you could visit Heraklion, and on the beach too! The animation team were friendly and enthusiastic and there were plenty of activities to do throughout the day if you wanted to. It was a good value for money.

Lovely hotel. Great facilities. Great location. Pool amazing and beach. The food is lovely and all inclusive drinks good. Staff really nice and helpful. The entertainment is absolutely ridiculous though, probably the worst I've seen in any hotel. Rooms - very dated, beds not comfortable at all. Would return just for the facilities and food.

We were there at the end of May. The best thing about that hotel is that it is really clean; it is not new, a bit used, but clean. However, they sometimes used chlorine while cleaning, so it wasn't very healthy. But it was still clean and virus-free. The service team is pretty nice. However, the rules are messed up, and there is not much specific information about all the rules. You need to search for rules piece by piece; one is here, another is there. That is not how a four-star hotel (as they mentioned in the lobby with a large sign) should inform its visitors. Furthermore, all-inclusive means you can take as much food from the canteen to your room as you need. Imagine a pregnant woman with food cravings every 30 minutes, who chose this hotel 90% because of the all-inclusive option, and they said she couldn't take food from the canteen at all. Or imagine a five-year-old child, who normally eats every two hours, running to the canteen or snack bar to grab some food. When are these people supposed to enjoy the sea? Remember to check the minimum age for using the hotel's water slides. In May, it was eight, which we only found out when we were there, so our child was too young. The food was poor, actually, a lot of sugar ingredients and not so much fruits for breakfast, a lot of eggs, cheese, paber, tomato and cucumber. UHT milk and no normal milk. In the overall it wasn't bad, but it was a good 3 stars, and far away from 4 for the hotel in EU. It was pretty quiet in May there.

Great hotel next to a sandy and clean beach. Rooms spatial and comfortable, not excellent but good enough for recharging for months to come. Food tasty and there is to choose from. Awesome entertainment crew: Matt, Wiktoria, Aleinia and Frederico. 5 stars for them too! Keeping guests entertained from 10.00 till 22.00 with smile on their faces. Despite those activities there is no problem with getting to sleep early. There is no party till morning.

This Hotel is such a Vibe, to start right off the bat the area is huge! What i generally liked the most was the Animation team, it was a young and talented team with Matt the manager, Wiktoria, Aleinia and Federico. There was programs from 10 am to 22 pm, sometimes 23 pm. From Volleyball, to Soccer, Stretching to Evening Shows like Comedy, Game Shows, Karaoke and also a Special Saturday Show (where Matt sings his magical Songs) there is something for everybody! They are full with energy and ready to have a great time with you, it was fun playing together and also just talking to them. I personally had such a great time with them and miss them. I hope to see them next year. Generally the whole Staff team is so kind and treat you so well! It doesn’t feel like they do it because they must, rather because it is generous. Honestly i thought it would be less space than i expected but you have a tennis court, many Bungalows, two pools (one which is right beside the Bungalows with 3 nice water slides, which were so fun even for us adults, and the second one with a lot of pool area), the hotel complex with many flats; dining area; tourist shop and game area, you also have some houses you can get, there is a small spa, parking spaces, a large green field with soccer and Volleyball area. Behind the big pool are the beach tavern and Beach bar which connect to the Beach. The Beach is beatiful with many seats. But there is always a catch at the end, although it wasn’t a big one it is still old, while everything seems fine the main complex has some old lights and seems rather old but all in all, for the price it was the best option.

Extremely outdated hotel that needs some serious work. We stayed in the family room and it was completely old, dark and the beds were some of the worst I have ever slept in, since it wasn’t a real mattress. Food was extremely disappointing and completely tasteless. After one night we ended up going to the town to eat instead. Drinks were cheap and had a weird aftertaste. Not a great experience at all and WOULD NOT recommend anyone to stay here

This hotel I have chosen because of reviews I've read and photos I've seen. Unfortunately, neither reviews nor photos have checked on place. The rooms are already outdated, however, really clean. Wi-fi works poorly, and cable TV provides just a few channels. Beach towels, even though they are free, one may exchange every second day? Having all inclusive options, you get only 1 bottle of water for 2 weeks of stay. Food is mostly international, only 2 days in a week there are national dinner (Mexican and Greek). Often happened that is not hot. Breakfast meals repeat daily. The advantages of this hotel are super nice personnel, location, and cleanness

The perfect hotel with the great people and service. I recommend this hotel for everyone, you will enjoy. There are plenty sport activities and food is delicious. Deserts are perfectly balanced and not so much sweet with tons of sugar. The attitude of personal is on another level, it is perfect. Highly recommend!

Overall I would give our stay a 4.5 star out of 5. The hotel is great, as a whole very clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The food is brilliant! We ate at the buffet restaurant, each day the lunches and dinners had main staples but changed up the rest of the dishes which meant we were never bored of the food. We couldn’t get over how much variety there was, huge selection and truly something for everyone. The breakfast was good too, a mix of healthy and treat foods. It would have been nice to be able to get a wider range of alcoholic drinks at dinner time but you are able to take drinks from the Wanderbar. The food was also very fresh and you can tell they take food hygiene very seriously. The only other issue is there were a few times when we couldn’t find a seat and had to ask for help. It might be an idea to somehow stagger how many people are able to get into the buffet restaurant. I can imagine at peak times in the summer, it’s difficult to find anywhere to eat. I’m not much of an entertainment person but the entertainment provided was good, the silent disco was the highlight. We also visited the disco which was fun, it’s great that they offer it. We didn’t participate in any activities but there was SO much on offer! If you’re someone who likes to be doing things during the day, this hotel is perfect. We had a pool view room and I really appreciated that the music didn’t start until 10am so if you had a lay in, you weren’t woken up early. The rooms were a great size and cleaned daily, the communal areas were also spotless. There is a large selection of pool areas however, only 1 had the pool bar, we were glad that our nearest pool had the bar. The main pool was fairly clean but I noticed there was a lot of sand sat at the bottom of the smaller pool areas within this section. After a few days, it still hadn’t been cleaned out which meant you couldn’t really have a dip in there. One thing that is great is you can always find a sunbed! The wanderbar is great, couldn’t believe it was open 24/7! We arrived late and were able to get a fresh sandwich in the bar which was great, nothing worse than going to bed hungry. The drinks are okay but I would have liked a wider selection which is one of the reasons I’ve marked down half a star. There is a premium package but it’s very expensive. I would have liked some frozen drinks by the pool bar and things like pina coladas, passion martinis etc. which I have had at other TUI hotels. The drinks offered though were tasty and a good selection of non alcoholic drinks as well as alcoholic. The main reason I’ve marked this down a bit is due to the additional restaurants. We had a reservation at the Tavern. We turned up and weren’t sure whether to sit down or be seated as there weren’t any signs. We were eventually seated and I noticed the atmosphere was a bit strange. Everyone looked a bit awkward and it wasn’t helped by a lack of music so it was quite silent. We were waiting around and after 40 minutes, we still hadn’t been offered a drink or had our orders taken. We decided to walk out and go to the buffet as by this point, we were very hungry and couldn’t deal with the awkwardness anymore. This is something that really needs improvement. It’s a real shame as the views by the beach are lovely. We had a massage at the hotel, I was very impressed with it. We were also able to negotiate a service in line with our budget which I thought was fantastic. It’s great that they cater for all budgets (within reason). The spa staff are friendly and professional. Overall we had a lovely weeks stay, I’ve come back feeling relaxed and think this hotel is well worth the money. Would definitely recommend.

One must praise the cleanliness of the rooms and common areas, as well as the friendly and attentive staff. I will start with the positives the staff are brilliant, room was clean and comfortable, most of the facilities and communal area are very good and clean. Now for the negatives, this is not a 5 star, I have stayed in better 4 star, it’s just missing some TLC. The access to the beach is over a sand and dirt road, not pleasant on your feet it wouldn’t take much to extend the walkway, the soft drinks are awful and spoiled the cocktails, I couldn’t drink them and had to go out to a shop to purchase my own, to take out of an evening with me! The food was repetitive and always like a cattle market, the entertainment was dire but hilarious( had to get some entertainment from it). The hotel cater mainly to the German market who seem to love everything about the hotel, the hotel is nice but not what I was expecting, I don’t think I will go AI in Greece again.

Overall an impressive clean and expansive hotel, staff that are willing to go above and beyond for customer requests. Well equipped restaurants, gym, swimming pools, football and tennis courts. I made use of the gym four times over the week and there was plenty of equipment to choose from. There were enough sun beds next to the three pools . Hotel is directly next to a beach with many sunbeds with cover from the sun as needed. Plenty of bars to get drinks from. Wholly and unreservedly recommended. Rented a taxi for a day to tour the island. Went for a bus ride to see the local archeological sites. Helpful TUI representative and guest services

A horrible experience Two men, staff working by the pool, ignorant that I was greek myself, made some incredibly disrespectful and inappropriate comments about me as I was walking by them. I let the reception know about it but I believe no action was taken. I felt very unsafe, I can't even imagine what lewd comments they were making about the other women in the resort who did not understand greek and were unaware. It ruined a day which started great since the rest of the staff and the facilities were great. Tui was also involved and still no action was taken other than repeating that they try for the best interest of their customers and "their staff is thoroughly trained to maintain a courteous, safe, and welcoming environment at all times". Well, I don't think so.

A very nice hotel with good service. Everything is very tidy. The food is more then delicious. Always choice enough and very luxery.

Nice room with amazing aircondition. We had a mountain view. It was quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was good. There is sun lounger enough for everyone. The hotel is near beach. We had a night flight so we didn't want to checkout at 12. Instead we paid to checkout at 17.00. We were thankful for that.

We just spend a week here and have mixed feelings about the hotel. Overall we had a good experience but it has a lot of room for improvement for a real 5 star experience. The room we received was very dated and definitely not the same as on the advertised pictures. Very disappointing! The breakfast buffet was ok, but after a few days you get a bit tired of it. The overall resort is lovely and the staff is also very nice. Be aware that the pool closes at 18:00 which I find very early. Since we came in autumn it was not a problem as it wasn’t too warm anymore but in the summer I can definitely see that as an issue. Also disappointing that some of the nicer sun beds need to be rented for 20€ a day, it doesn’t give a nice feeling that they try to make extra money everywhere. The little spa inside is ok but not worthy for a 5 start hotel. The jacuzzi area smells moldy and the sauna needs to get booked in advance. The gym in the same area is super dated and the equipment needs to get replaced urgently. Platanias is a typical touristic place for charter tourist. There are lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance, but definitely all designed for tourists.

We have just returned after a week at the Minoa Palace Hotel.We liked the hotel with all its pools,resteraunts and gardens.There was steep steps and high gloss tiles everywhere which were dangerous when wet and at night.Myself and my brother in-law took a tumble,so i think you need to put some hand rails in the stair case areas. Our rooms were lovely and spacious and modern decoration and our room attendant was amazing stocking up everyday.My sisters was not as good and got no daily stocking up of teas,coffes etc. Our main complaint was the water situation at meal times. We were on full board,but no drinks were included,so on the first day i asked for a jug of free tap water,only to be presented with a bottle of still table water and a bill for 2.80 euros. I was informed that i could not use my own water bottle at any meal. All the hotels i've ever stayed at provide free tap water,especially when we don't drink alcohol. You should be given a choice of free tap water and if you want to pay for still water then you can. Because we did not order alcohol and only water the restaurant staff became very rude and the service was slow and yes they do try and hurry you off your table in order to seat the next guests. Because of the service we endured for a week from the restaurant staff i would not use this hotel again. On our final day,we went for our lunch and were informed by the rude staff that we would have to pay for lunch and dinner because we had vacated the hotel for going home,even though we were not flying until 12.15am and leaving the hotel at 9pm.We had paid for 7 days board,but were only getting 6 days board.We complained to the reception and she organized vouchers for our lunch and dinner. I had a lovely holiday,but it was spoilt by the extremely rude staff. Do they actually want people to return to their hotel!.

Everything was great, from the spacious room with swimming pool views, to the breakfast buffet. Service was outstanding, accommodating to our needs all the time. They helped us arrange different transports and a rental car. Special mention to the beach bar and restaurant. Super kind and the food was amazing

A very pleasant stay at this hotel. What we liked: • Excellent soundproofing in the rooms (a baby was crying all night next door, but we could barely hear it). • Delicious welcome cocktail with quality spirits, not limited to basic options. • Very comfortable bedding. • Beautiful beach with great facilities. • Always enough sunbeds available in October, at any time of day — no need to rush early in the morning. • Easy and free parking. • One or two very good restaurants nearby. • Friendly and attentive staff. • Relaxed and well-off clientele — mostly executives and young parents. • Although the hotel is 20 years old, it is extremely well maintained and feels modern and pleasant — nothing looks outdated. What could be improved: • The breakfast and dinner buffets feel a bit too “buffet-style.” There are some freshly prepared dishes, but nothing cooked to order. Some items, especially desserts, seem too industrial. • The spa area is small and has only one jacuzzi. • The nearby shops are very touristy. • The hotel is split into two areas connected by a bridge over the road, though it’s not really a problem. • The two pools and spa close at 6pm

If you like tasty Mediterranean food, quitness and relaxing, this is the place for you! The resort is like a small village, decorated tastefully with beautiful plants and nice fourniture. The room in the main building was great, everything we needed for a week stay, comfortable large bed, large bathroom, change of towels and cleaning everyday. The resort offers several swimming pools and tanning areas, by the main buildings and other closer to the beach, which we enjoyed a lot. The All inclusive formula is absolutely worth it, delicious cocktails, breakfast, lunch and dinner were super tasty, the best food we ever had in an all inclusive resort (and we've been to a lot), never repetitive, every day new meals and none of that frozen deep fried stuff but all nicely cooked, prepared, and original recipes. Everybody can find something for them at the buffet since they offer all the different meats, fish and vegetarian options. Staff was super nice as well, especially at the pool (Paris was really helpful with the cocktails) and ladies at the front desk gave great advice about renting a car to visit the island (renting a car is also possible at the resort). In summary my best all inclusive holidays. It was my parent's first time to Greece but certainly not the last!

Amazing resort and stay - would definitely recommend. We stayed here for 3 nights and wanted to do more. Took a private pool room which was fabulous but couldn't use the pool due to lack of good weather. Did half board and breakfast and dinner was decent , service was impeccable.

Let me start with a things i really liked about this place: FOOD/DRINKS - really tasty, good selection, you can always find something for yourself. Bar staff will make your drinks strong! Just saying :) STAFF - it doesn't matter if it it reception, restaurant, bar or cleaning ladies - everyone are nice, helpful and want to make your stay they best it can be. It was really impressive. Hotel has nice pool but i think it's own "beach" and access to the sea is a selling point for me. Location is in the middle of nowhere BUT! it is close to bust stop and tiny town. It is also a good location to explore west and central part of the island. Renting a car is super easy so that if you plan to explore Crete a bit it is an excellent choice. There is also a super fun excursion from the hotel to the Kournas Lake - recommend! Now to the things i believe can be improved - this hotel is not 5* it is more like solid 3*. It needs a bit of renovations and upgrade. Don't get me wrong - it is super clean, there is a lot of flowers and herbs and upkeep is top notch but still interior is a bit dated and rooms need a new paint. In the evenings there is a super loud music playing every night, so if you have a room near bar/beach bar and you just want to rest after a day of exploring the island - you will need earplugs to sleep. Overall i really liked my stay there. It is a place i will recommend to my friends!

Receptionists and kitchen/ restaurant personnel were always really nice and helpful!! Food was always really good. Unfortunately on the pool bar there was one unfriendly and all the time grupy guy, who even loudly complained that “everyone wants something else”. Besides that, the rooms were little dirty and wet. In the first night we have AC issue - water started to leaking out of the device. Entire floor was covered with water. We immediately reported this to the reception, and it was repaired in next 20 min, unfortunately nobody clean the room, which I had to report again, and it was cleaned but really clumsily. Basically only where it was visible, under the furnitures, bed the water was left. Also the AC was extremely loud that you couldn’t sleep wile it was on, and without it was hot like hel. Thing that bothered me the most is fact that people can smoke cigarettes there. In the bar, in the restaurant garden, by the swimming pool, on the beach. It would be ok if there will be for example sides for smokers and non smokers, or zones. Sadly that was not the case, it was mixed, because of that we were forced to smell and inhale the cigarette’s stench whole week long. Even in the pool bar inside, where there was a big sign “smoking not allowed” people were smoking and personel from the bar did not react, when I approached the lady, she acted dumb and said in Czech “ne rozumim” which mean that she does not understand. In general the entire experience was good, but the hotel definitely is not 5 star, max 3 - as you could see and feel that everything is used and fatigued. Also cleaning service were all the time leaving the balcony doors unlocked for my room, and it was on the ground floor, which is quite rude. For sure if anything would be stolen hotel will not take the responsibility. Also hotel should be more assertive regarding kids. Many of them were all the time screaming, crying, running ect and their parents did not react, or act with the attitude “I’m on holiday, so I am here to chill not to take care of my kids”.

I would like to share my honest review of the hotel. While there are some positive aspects, I must also address certain areas that need improvement. [Positive aspects:] 1. The reception staff, both ladies and gentlemen, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to assist us whenever possible. 2. The cleaning ladies were very friendly and performed their duties diligently, ensuring that our room was spotless. 3. The hotel's garden was beautifully adorned with flowers and trees, creating a serene and picturesque environment. 4. The location of the hotel was quite convenient. It was situated in a central area, with easy access to various amenities and attractions. 5. The beach was suitable for swimming when the weather conditions were favourable. [Areas for improvement:] 1. The breakfast options were rather limited and unremarkable. 2. There were often long queues for basic breakfast items such as coffee, eggs, and bread. This could be addressed by increasing the number of coffee machines and having additional chefs or cookers to prepare eggs. 3. While it is understandable that guests may have varying appetites, it was observed that some individuals consumed excessive amounts of breakfast, which could contribute to the delays in replenishing certain items.. We didn't have any food in a restaurant so i can't say anything about the food quality. Swimming pool: The pool is a bit too cold. Since the water is constantly being filtered, it doesn't get warm enough to be truly enjoyable. As a result, it's almost always empty. Room: There's a 20 euro charge for using the safe in your room. This is the first time I've encountered this in any hotel. If you need an iron, you'll have to get it from the reception and return it when you're done. The rooms are not bad, but they are definitely overpriced considering the age of the building and the amenities they offer. Do i go back??? With the price we paid for one week, definitely no. If i can get it cheaper, yes, i will go back because of the balcony and garden inside the hotel and nice beach ⛱️ 😎 Overall, I hope that my feedback is received constructively and that the hotel management will consider implementing improvements in the areas mentioned. We stayed at the hotel last week for 7 days and the whole experience was incredible! Starting with the staff that was always smiling, kind and willing to serve, so that the services provided to be at their best. Since we are a family with 2 small kids the only thing for sure is that the hotel is kids-friendly. With the pool for small children, the kid's parties and with the given access where required (for stroller, elevator). The room was very clean, the hotel surroundings were both spotlessly clean and well-kept. The food, with a very wide variety, including small surprises such as the barbecue night, satisfies every ages. Last but not least, is the ease of movement for people with special needs (rooms, hotel's areas and also in the pool). Fully recommended for summer 🏝️ 🌞 holidays

Its just great, the service is decent, food is tasty, the facility itself is beautiful, nice swimming pool, there is a well equipped shop with souvenirs, snacks and some everyday items, its clean everywhere, beautiful beach, there is a gym, all inclusive has everything you need, the only con i see are the rooms - little refurbishment would do the job. All things considered i recommend hydramis

We recently stayed at Hydramis Palace with our two young daughters (2 and 3 years old) and had a fantastic time. The location was perfect—right on the beachfront with a beautiful garden and a great pool that the kids loved. Everything was great, from the friendly staff to the delicious food. We were there with two other families, and everyone had a wonderful time. We hope to visit again next year!

Good afternoon. My wife and I have been staying at the hotel for almost a week now. We've been suffering for three nights now, it's impossible to sleep. They put us up next to a bar where there is a disco every evening. No problem, we respect everything and everyone. Today we went to the reception and asked to be moved to another, quieter room. We were refused in a rather ugly manner. We won't go to this hotel again. there is a helpful person at the reception, Ekaterina.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this hotel!The staff are the kindest, most smiling people we’ve ever met, always ready to help with genuine warmth. The atmosphere was uplifting thanks to their positive energy. The food was another highlight! Every dish was prepared with great care, using fresh local ingredients and cooked to perfection. The variety, quality, and flavors exceeded our expectations and made every meal a delight. Overall, this hotel offers not only comfort and great service, but also a memorable experience filled with kindness and amazing hospitality. We can’t wait to return and would recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special place to stay!

We have had a great 10 days at this hotel, the rooms are modern and clean. The guys on the animation team are great, especially George, my son Frankie loved him and often wanted to find him as he would make a fuss of him, he’s very friendly, funny & great with the kids! Also Johny, he would call my daughter “chicken lady” they thought he was great. The food is good for all inclusive, lots of option and different themed nights and at the snack bar in the day (gyros, chips, nuggets pizza salad) but we do like to go out, we’re not the type to stay in the hotel 24/7 so we have been out for dinner a few times, there isn’t that much around just a few shops & restaurants. Would highly recommend going to the Knossos Taverna which is 5/10 minute walk, have a children’s play area and they have a band, show with smashing plates and dancing on a Wednesday and Sunday evening which was brilliant. They have a great beach by the hotel, and the shop in the hotel is good too. The ladies on reception, and all staff were always so kind and helpful. Would be good to have a few more English channels on the tv, there was lots of German shows - but would say about 70% of the guests were German. Alcohol just like most all inclusive - pretty weak and tasteless but other than that can’t fault anything else. We have had a great time :)

Super clean and great hotel. Kids pool was great for splashing, entertainment pool also good with snack bar and drinks near by. We loved the third pool with toilets and swim up bar, a bit quieter but really good. Good food selection. Evening entertainment was great and the sunsets at the beach just over the road were amazing. We had great food at the al a carte restaurant also, included in all inclusive but you pay for alcohol there. The shop on site was also really reasonable. Towels were €5 deposit per person for the week, to be paid in cash. It says no sunbed reserving, but everyone did, if you are there by 8 you will get a bed. They sell kids t-shirts with the names printed in for €19 which you collect that night at the kids disco. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

It was the best hotel ever or the best vacation i've been to the staff is very friendly and there is a lot of activities for kids and other activities like golf, football and many many more. The food was delicious and the all the pools are great there is a kids pool that i spent a lot of time with my little brother the rooms are small but good the ones that are by the pool on the first floor are by far the best ones because it's a 2 sec walk to the pool. The location is amazing to walk to the sea it takes one minute!!

I stayed with my wife and our two children (10 and 13 years old) in August 2025 on an all-inclusive package, and we were absolutely delighted with everything! Delicious food, extremely polite staff always willing to fulfill every request with a smile, a wonderful room, unlimited quantities of food and drinks of all kinds, three swimming pools to suit every taste, and direct access to the sea for those who prefer it. A well-deserved 5 stars with great pleasure! Thank you for everything!

Amazing staff! Everyone was friendly, attentive, and professional. It’s been a long time since we’ve encountered such dedicated team members, and we’re truly grateful for that. We had an evening flight home, and when we asked if we could use the amenities until our departure, we were told, “You are our guests until the bus leaves.” That level of hospitality is rare, and it really stood out to us. We would definitely come back! The resort is perfect for families—clean, with great food, a fun animation team, and close to the airport (our baby loved watching the planes fly overhead). There are several pools and direct beach access too. Thank you to the entire Sol by Meliá team—see you again soon!

Absolutely beautiful hotel. We loved our first time here. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Food.pools.entertainment were all fantastic. Our premium room with a sea view was really good. Room cleaned every day. Fresh bottle of water every day. We had a bottle of wine and fresh fruit which was lovely on our first day. Can’t fault anything. Everything was perfect. Well done to all the staff who work incredibly hard. 🫶

We went to the hotel last month, everything was okay, the room was clean, the food was delicious, the cleaners were very friendly. There was only one thing I didn't like because my only daughter was traumatized when she heard and saw the incident where the cleaning superior was scolding her staff, she almost screamed as if there were no guests next to her and most of all my daughter was scared because she was pointing and glaring at her staff. I didn't want to mention this but my daughter couldn't sleep the first night. I understand that she might be under pressure at work but as a superior she should know how to handle situations and where to go so that it doesn't affect others. I suggest that she undergo proper training to handle people because I don't think she is yet capable of the job assigned to her.

Myself and my family are vegan so staying at hotels in Greece can be challenging. Not this one! We were looked after by the head chef who served us up some of the best vegan food we have eaten. We eat it lots of top vegan restaurants in London and this was a good as! 😀 I am pregnant and my son is autisic and we were so looked after. Thank you so much to all of the staff at this wonderful hotel! You made the last part of our holiday one to remember!

I’m honestly shocked by the experience we had at Georgioupolis Resort Aqua Park & SPA, which claims to be a five-star hotel but fails miserably to meet even basic standards of hospitality. While some of the lower-level staff were kind and upgraded our room for my birthday, everything else went downhill fast. There was no Internet for four days — completely unacceptable in 2025, especially at a resort on an island where guests rely on connectivity. I paid for a room for three people and was charged extra, but my daughter was forced to sleep on a folding bed — hardly what I expect from a so-called five-star hotel. The shower flooded every single time we used it. Despite informing staff repeatedly, nothing was fixed. On the fifth night, when I finally insisted on help, reception told me there was no maintenance after 10 PM and that I had to deal with the water myself — I spent the night cleaning the floor! To make matters worse, when I tried to express my frustration to management, I was dismissed. The manager never called me as promised. When I finally spoke with him in person, he had the nerve to say I was “attacking him” simply for calmly explaining my issues. Not only was there no accountability, but not a single sincere apology was offered for their failures. This hotel lacks basic communication, respect for its guests, and clearly does not operate at a five-star standard. This was a deeply frustrating experience and I would strongly warn others against booking here. One star is generous — this hotel does not deserve your money or your trust.

We just came back from an amazing holidays in this hotel! We were located in Harpin which is absolutely beautiful. ( Rooms 4201 and 4203). Best buffet food we had have in any hotel in Europe and the hotel, the activities can only be highly recommended. My 7yo son had a blast and we enjoyed the aqua park, all superb pools, the superb beach and incredible the view. However, what really made the difference for us was the staff, everyone we interacted with were welcoming and wonderful !!! The staff in the restaurants, in the bars, at the reception, in SPA is absolutely amazing!!! Director of the hotel Nikos is pure gentleman and takes care of each guest ! Clearly the place is very well managed and values keeping guests happy! Managers Manos and Indrid from the restaurants are extremely professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean, the facilities are new and well maintained. Best resort holiday we have had.!

We stayed here at the Harpin as a family of 3 for a 2 weeks with friends and didn't want to leave. Kids enjoyed playing at the waterpark. All other pools are great and clean . Beach is sandy and beautiful. My friend and I enjoyed a couples treatment at the spa. Entertainment at night was great for kids and families. Food was excellent and something different for lunch/dinner every day. Cocktails were very tasty. Staff were so friendly and helpful, especially the bar staff who remembered you and what drink you liked. Special Thank you for Director of the hotel Nikos and 2 restaurant managers Indrid and Manos which take care of us every day.! Beds were comfortable and rooms were serviced everyday. The hotel is ideally located and the facilities are superb. A beautiful experience in total! Definitely one of the best 5* hotels we ever stayed in and we travel a lot!

Gorgeous place with an amazing staff. The location is perfect- not too far away from Chania or Rethymnon. The beach is beautiful, clean and not stony. Excellent food and drinks, very clean. Kids club, aqua park, spa- all to be recommended. Many german customers but don’t worry english speaking people, the staff is very flexible and very eager to help you with anything bothering you. It’s a must see and must stay place😁

An Amazing Holiday Experience! We’ve just returned from an absolutely fantastic holiday, and I can’t speak highly enough of our experience. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was top-notch. The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and genuinely eager to help – nothing was ever too much trouble. Whether in the hotel or out in the surrounding area, we always felt looked after and appreciated. My wife and our 3-year-old had an amazing time. The hotel offers a wide range of activities throughout the day – perfect for families. Whether you’re someone who likes to get involved or prefers to relax and do your own thing, there’s no pressure either way. The atmosphere is very relaxed and inclusive, which we really appreciated. One of the standout features for us was how clean and well-maintained everything was. The hotel grounds, pool area, and rooms were spotless. The food was another highlight – fresh, varied, and always plentiful. We especially appreciated the presence of the head chef, who was always nearby and available if you had any special requests or needed assistance. The first special thank you is to Manos who was amazing with us and our daughter and finding our perfect seat each meal! So thank you Manos! It really gave the dining experience a more personal touch. The pool service at the bar was amazing and need to point out one person In particular, Xanthi who was a star and makes amazing Mojito’s! Lovely lady! Thank you! We also loved the two beachfront restaurants just a short 5-minute walk from the hotel. They provided a change of scenery with the same great quality, and the beach setting made it feel even more special. If I had to mention a downside, it would be the service at the bar and ice cream stall at the beach. While the hotel staff overall were amazing, the same can’t be said here at the beach. Despite there being six staff members, it often felt like only two were actually working, while the others were either on break or distracted on their phones – even during busy times. It was a bit frustrating, especially when there were queues. That said, this small issue doesn’t overshadow the wonderful experience we had. The positives far outweighed the negatives, and we left with amazing memories and full intentions to return. A huge thank you to the team for making our stay so enjoyable – we can’t wait to come back!

Great resort in Crete, although our room was so so. The resort is beautiful, well kept and the staff friendly. I enjoyed the breakfast and we had one dinner which was excellent. The pools are wonderful and the location good. Onto the first world problems: when we arrived we were told we were upgraded. Turns out it was not an upgrade at all. We were given an accessible room. It might have been bigger, but it did not look like any of the hotel pictures. Small balcony, bathroom with a small sink, no proper shower, lots of space but with nothing in it, quite loud as it was just above the hotel outdoor bar. All in all, a downgrade Vs. the regular room. In the future, be honest. If you are going to stay, unless you need the accessible room, make sure you ask not be given one.

Brace yourselves! You are about to experience one of the best hotels you’ve ever been to! This place is new, very good thought out, super high standards of service, higher than average food quality and options of things to do, and very luxurious architecture! (They didn’t waste any cost on the materials that’s for sure) From the moment you step in the hotel until the moment you leave, they will try to do their best to accommodate your needs and satisfy you Could be improved with providing more free water and pitchers in breakfasts / dinners / restaurants, and the elevator should work faster / more elevators + no a/c in the elevator. Besides that everything is exceptionally high standards. Wouldn’t take an inch from the 5/5 stars for those issues. Have fun in your stay!

We had a lovely family vacation at Royal Senses. The location was absolutely stunning with the most scenic views in every direction and the perfect backdrop for an unplugged, peaceful experience. As a family traveling with a baby, we truly appreciated the calm atmosphere and the opportunity to slow down and connect. The highlights had to be the food—there was great variety every day, which kept things exciting and catered to a wide range of tastes. The service throughout our stay was genuinely spectacular; the staff was warm, attentive, and always ready to help. That said, we did have some inconvenience with the air conditioning in our room, which was not working for five days. This was especially tough with a baby and the heat, and unfortunately we weren’t offered a different room during that time, which was disappointing given the circumstances. Aside from that though, everything else exceeded our expectations. We left with beautiful memories and would love to return—hopefully with all the comforts fully functioning next time.

Lovely hotel in a stunning setting. An excellent place for unwinding and relaxing and getting way from it all. The spa treatment of a facial and a hydrating body wrap left my skin glowing. Very high quality products were used and this was apparent in the result. A special mention to Irini who was always very friendly during meal times and went above and beyond.

From the very first moment, our experience at The Royal Senses Resort & Spa was nothing short of outstanding. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm welcome and delicious traditional Greek pastries, setting the tone for a relaxing stay. A special thanks goes to Mrs. Lanara, the wonderful Guest Relations Manager, and Eva from the reception. Both did an incredible job making us feel at home and well taken care of from the beginning. About a month prior, I had requested a special room via email. Due to a small issue with that room upon arrival, we were kindly accommodated for the first night at their sister property, The Royal Blue Resort. Everyone handled the situation with great professionalism and care. Eva arranged everything seamlessly, personally accompanying us with a driver to the Royal Blue, where we were warmly welcomed and even received a complimentary room upgrade as an apology. The next day, transportation back to The Royal Senses was perfectly arranged. The entire process was managed phenomenally well and left us completely relaxed. We had a room with a privat pool and everything was very clean. Every day we got 2 bottles of water and fresh towels if we need them. Two times we ordered a club sandwich and a caesar salad and fresh fruits via room service. The were very fast and everything was very tasty. The Hotel is not directly on the beach but it offer a private shuttle which runs every 30 minutes. So there was no problem to get to the beach. The food in the main restaurant was also very good. An abundant and varied buffet offering traditional Greek dishes, pasta, pizza, meat, and fish, fresh salads and fruits and cakes. The restaurant service staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Every evening felt special because from the restaurant you had a very good view to the sunset and after dinner you can relax at the bar to live music or a DJ. We also took time to enjoy the Spa and treated ourselves to a couple’s relaxing massage—one of the highlights of our stay. Even a week later, we still felt the calming effects! Every single staff member—from reception to valet, housekeeping, and restaurant service—was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We wholeheartedly recommend The Royal Senses Resort & Spa to anyone looking for a relaxed and worry-free getaway on Crete. We can’t wait to return!

The hotel had a lot of potential but falls short in so many areas. The construction is beautiful but the rooms look dated and worn. They need better cleaning and maintenance overall. We got an upgrade but our “sea view” was just a view of a building with a sliver of ocean. The food in the buffet is mediocre, but to be expected in a big hotel with mass production of food. However, there is a wide variety of choices and it is clean/organized. The food at the lunch restaurant was better- pricey but good portions. The pool area is lovely but be warned- lots of children. The hotel is also very far from the ocean. The construction is really nice but its very high up (not walkable- there’s a shuttle to take you to the beach)- you have to go under a highway and into another hotel to access the beach. That said, the beach is awful- not even worth a visit. You can tell its man-made and There’s these awful rocks that enclose it. If you’re in crete to enjoy the beach, dont book this hotel, its truly not nice at all.

Beautiful, quiet hotel with direct beach access-sea shoes are recommended. The staff were incredibly kind, and breakfast was excellent, blending European and local flavors. Loved the spa, indoor pool, and outdoor gym. Great location, just 40 minutes from Chania. It’s mainly for quiet relaxation, I only wish there were some activities like yoga, but it’s still a wonderful place. Everything, including my birthday celebration, was perfect. We’ll definitely return!

Everything at La Mer was absolutely perfect. The view from the hotel room was unbelievable, the bed was comfortable, and the food was phenomenal. The buffet for breakfast and dinner was perfect - lots of options so that you could try a little bit of everything. The loungers by the beach and the pool were comfortable, and provided just enough shade. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt welcome, especially Theodore and Marianna. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

I had the pleasure of experiencing La Mer with my sister, and it was such a relaxing and memorable stay. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was calm, peaceful, and just what we needed. There was a small inconvenience with our room, but the staff handled it with grace—they kindly upgraded our stay to full board, which included delicious meals throughout our visit. The food was consistently fresh and flavorful, and the service was wonderful. The beach is the true highlight—calm, clean, and serene. It’s the perfect place to unwind and soak up the beauty of the surroundings. The spa was another standout; the masseuses are incredibly skilled and left us feeling completely restored. All of the staff were kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be returning to La Mer—it’s the perfect escape when you need rest, beauty, and great service all in one place. Gorgeous stay.

POSITIVE POINTS: + the hotel is modern, clean and chic aesthetic + attractive for the younger crowd who might enjoy a "lifestyle" vibe, with outdoor and indoor gym etc. +friendly and accommodating staff from front desk. provided me a late check-out and im super thankful for that. 11 checkout is usually quite difficult, so usually need an extra hour to pack and get things done before leaving the room. So im really thankful for that. +I super appreciate the signature scent. I love that about hotels. That is a good way to highlight their identity and for guests to associate luxury with the hotel. +Steam room is really good! Spa is such a relaxing vibe. NEED IMPROVEMENT (note: this is in no way an attack to the hotel, just stating my experience and points where the hotel can improve for guest experiences) -what they excel in aesthetic, they lack a bit in personality. The hotel is beautiful, but it doesn't have "soul" in it. A greek holiday hotel experience is about these "extra" experiences that you dont get from any other hotel in other parts of the world e.g. shows in the evening, some musical instrument playing, or activities in the day - by the pool etc. Something that adds to the overall vibe and guest experience. When I go to Greece, I always enjoy the entire stay and always look forward for what will happen on the days I am there. During my stay here, I got bored midway. I didnt have anything to look forward to. - 5-star rating is probably a little stretch. the customer service (at the bars/restaurants) are far from 5-star experience. Ive been in other 5-star hotels, and this is far from them. Staff look like they are not happy to be there, tired and overworked. Marianna from the pool bar is friendly and nice though. Suggestion: Just make a drink station at the buffet restaurant for water, juices, coffee and tea. This will take the load away from the serving staff. Operation will be a lot more efficient. It is sometimes very difficult to ask for more drinks from the staff because you see them already doing so much cleaning tables and serving other guests. One morning, I saw a staff and greeted good morning and how are you? I was answered, "not good, too much work". I appreciate the honesty, my heart is with them because I am also from service industry. -Sauna is broken the entire stay. Hotel has huge potential. It is a really stunning hotel. But it seems like they just heavily rely on their aesthetic. Which honestly can take you only to a certain level.

Was really fantastic ,good food ,nice rooms. We even didn’t want to go out to eat to explore Crete as we planned before. Very good outside and inside gym. Cabana on the pool and on the beach so you can have your privacy.

This hotel is one of the best I’ve been to. At first welcome, the beautifully designed and spacious lobby greeted us along with the kindest staff. Check in was super easy and everything was explained well. The pool and beach area are some of the La Mer’s best features. People didn’t hog sunbeds and they have these amazing umbrellas with ropes that diffused the sunlight so you had a perfect sun/shade experience. The sun beds with curtains are great for days you need to heal from sunburn. There is an indoor and outdoor lounge area with gorgeous views of the sea and mountains. The beach starts out sandy then is rocky as you approach the water, then becomes sandy again a few feet in. I was worried about a rock beach but with some beach shoes or those rubber slippers, you get used to it. The water is amazing. I appreciated the gentle soft music playing outside. It was never too loud or annoying. We used the indoor gym almost everyday. Great facility. And now, to the food. We were so impressed at every meal. The staff is so welcoming as we come in, and the variety of food is perfect. Everything tasted fresh, and full of flavor. We felt we experienced the whole of Cretan cuisine in a few days. I appreciate the large variety of vegetable appetizers and dishes. We were full but never felt bad. The location felt somewhat private. There is a hotel two lots over but no one directly next door. If you like walking along the beach, there isn’t much opportunity for that but there are treadmills! There is also a cool game room with ping pong, pool tables and some board games. It’s a great place to escape the heat a bit. The rooms are definitely a bit small and water gets into the toilet area from the shower. That felt a little dangerous at times but the cleaning staff made the rooms spotless everyday. There is great attention to detail in the decor and the whole facility is super clean, thoughtfully designed and felt luxurious. Thank you for a great stay!

Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend for anyone looking to relax! The staff were really friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and the pool and beach were perfect. My only recommendation will be that the indoor gym equipment gets a bit of an upgrade, but I still managed to get my workouts done and also used the outdoor gym.

I’ve spent 4 nights here so far and this resort is beyond amazing. I’m a solo female traveler and I felt very safe and well taken care of here. the staff is very attentive and welcoming, the food is good and the views are AMAZING. I had a wonderful massage and facial at the spa which was so relaxing and rejuvenating. This vacation was everything I needed and more. Had the most amazing time staff couldn’t do enough for us! The hotel is beautiful the food varied and very tasty! The evening entertainment was a little poor in our opinion but didn’t stop us having a brilliant time! The views from the hotel are stunning! Just the holiday we needed and more than we hoped for! Myself and my wife are here on our honeymoon and we are blown away by the facilities and service here. We are staying in the sicada sweet villas on site. Absolutely stunning so far. The welcome service is immaculate. From drinks in the lobby on arrival to complimentary fruit platter and wine in the room with heart warming messages written on cards, it's an amazing experience. I would like to shout out the staff for amazing attention to detail along with their kindness and positive attitude. Looking forward to seeing what the rest of the week brings ❤️💙

The hotel staff across all areas were kind, helpful, friendly, polite and thoughtful. We have been made to feel comfortable for our whole stay with brilliant facilities in an amazing location. Our stay at the Sentido Unique Hotel in Crete was simply unforgettable! The service, food, and atmosphere were absolutely unique. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. We couldn't have wished for a better place for our honeymoon: we were able to relax completely and enjoy every second. The staff's warmth and professionalism really made our trip something very special. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to our next stay! The hotel is lovely. As you walk in the clean and fresh smell you get is amazing and is continued throughout the whole hotel. Spotlessly clean thanks to all the clean staff that seem to be cleaning all the time. From the front desk staff, waiting staff and bar staff everyone is friendly and happy to help. Great place to stay and relax. Pool and beach areas always had space. Added bonus of being able to order to you sunbed was a great touch. Would throughly recommend as a relaxing holiday away. The sun rises and sunsets were amazing as well.

We had a lovely stay, and would be likely to come back in the future. I have already recommended to family. The food was fantastic (I need the recipe for the aubergine salad!), and the staff attentive but not fussy. The resident cats are lovely and friendly. I had a fantastic candle massage. Fantastic airport for plane spotters. You can hear the planes during the day but they’re not too loud, and after one night, I didn’t notice them at all at night. I recommend the Greek music and dancing night, and borrowing a free kayak or pedals to go around the small local island. Also worth going up the hill just down the load for great insect life, views, and Minoan ruins.Thank you for a very memorable holiday.

I would give it more stars if I could. Our stay in Numo was perfect! And this is not only because the hotel is beautiful but mostly due to the staff members. From the first second we felt very welcomed by everyone: from the security lady at the entrance and the person who takes care of your bags, to the lovely colleagues at the reception and the guest experience team. They make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed. We personally enjoyed having the possibility of using the tennis court as well as the gym. We had half pension and had dinner at the hotel every evening and the food was always tasty, fresh and with a a lot of variety. The vibe at the main pool is perfectly balanced, with a great view to the sea and enjoying the chilled house music from the resident DJ. I could continue mentioning everything that went well in our stay, but to summarize it, we will come back and that already says it all! A big thank you to all the team that made sure our stay was flawless!

I spent 12 days at the hotel with my wife. We enjoyed our stay but there is still room for improvement. What we really liked was the excellent service, especially those people at the reception did an amazing job! The pool was great, the food was delicious and the rooms were comfortable well-equipped and clean. What we didn't like were the prices (cocktails for 15 euros, the cheapest bottle of wine for 38 etc..). Sorry but that can't be justified by the "excellent" quality. Some of the female restaurant stuff were a little bit bitchy and rude towards my wife and the worst thing was that I informed the hotel prior to our visit that we will celebrate our honeymoon. I asked for some flowers and a bottle of sparkling wine, which was confirmed via email. When we arrived we found nothing of it in the room and it seemed as nobody knew anything about it. That was really disappointing!

We stayed at Numo Ierapetra Beach Resort and absolutely loved it! The hotel is perfect for a calm, relaxing getaway: a quiet atmosphere, beautifully maintained grounds, a clean beach, and the sea just steps away. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, with spotless housekeeping. What truly stood out was the service, excellent quality with a genuine, heartfelt touch. At check-in, the front-desk manager Alina was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, setting the tone for the rest of our stay. Throughout, staff were attentive and proactive, making us feel truly cared for. The food overall was excellent, and the bar service was fantastic, with convenient “delivery” right to the sunbeds. The hotel also has a special touch: open-air movie nights in the evening—an absolute delight and a memorable highlight of our stay. We highly recommend Numo Ierapetra Beach Resort to anyone seeking top-quality, soulful service, comfort, and tranquility.

We had a great week at numo resort. The food was lovely, especially the breakfast, and the resort has a boutique, chilled vibe. I was there with my husband, two daughters and their boyfriends and the real highlight for us was taking part in all the gym sessions led by the fabulous Petros - excellent classes and he shares his expertise so well. It really made our trip special. The one thing that could be improved would be better signage on the food options as one of our party was vegan and although the staff were helpful when we asked the labels on the food options were very inconsistent which was frustrating. Overall a lovely stay.

Perfect hotel, truly deserving of its 5 stars — if not more! We got the chance to be upgraded to the best suite, which was huge, with a massive terrace and private pool. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, with several thoughtful touches brought directly to our room. The hotel restaurant was great for lunch, and we loved the many activities available, like the outdoor cinema. The pool area was super relaxing, with comfy sunbeds, a DJ, and live music. Gym was decent and they offer several classes everyday. To make it short, Numo is a peaceful & wonderful place, we’re already looking forward to coming back!

This hotel is getting 5 stars primarily because of the amazing staff. Extremely attentive and helpful without ever seeking either over-baring or forced. They were super friendly and kind at all times. The gardening and pool areas are very well maintained and pretty. The rooms were highly stylish and nicely finished. Especially the marble bathrooms. Two small things- we did have a lot of ants in our room although they did come in many times a day to clear them up. They had however upgraded us to a massive house and the ants were in the downstairs which we had no need to utilize to it didn’t present a major problem. Also the aircon didn’t seem to do much but it wasn’t sweltering. Breakfast was high quality and generous and we enjoyed the lunch menu as well. Quite a few nice places to eat near by as well.

We particularly enjoyed the evening buffet, which was nothing less than a culinary delight. The spread was rich, diverse, and catered to all our tastes, making it a highlight of our stay. Another fantastic experience was the performance by a local band near the pool. Their music created an enjoyable ambiance, enhancing our relaxation as we lounged by the water. Additionally, our kids had a blast at Grecoland! The crew there was fantastic, providing fun activities that kept the children entertained, allowing us some much-needed downtime. Overall, our experience at Caramel Hotel was memorable, and we can't wait to return for another blissful getaway! Highly recommend for families and couples alike!

Our stay at Caramel Grecotel was truly outstanding—easily among my top hotel experiences. The level of service was world-class. From food and drinks to random requests, every interaction was handled with genuine care and efficiency. The staff really set the tone for a best-in-class experience. I love that they just give the vibe that they REALLY care. The pool was fantastic, and I particularly appreciated their practical approach to seat reservations. Unlike many resorts, they don’t allow people to claim loungers all day without using them, which creates a fair and positive environment. The pool cabanas are also first-come, first-served rather than an endless up-charge, which is refreshing. Dining was another highlight. Every meal we had was excellent, with the à la carte dinner being especially worth it. It’s clear the team goes above and beyond to make the culinary experience feel luxurious and thoughtful. The rooms were beautiful—fresh, bright, and extremely comfortable. The air conditioning was also a standout, which made a big difference in comfort. The only small oddity was that the upstairs living room in our two-bedroom beach villa had almost no furniture. It didn’t affect our stay since we didn’t need the space, but worth noting. The beach was lovely, with a perfect tiki bar setup and excellent service. The one drawback is that the sea itself is a bit rocky. Kids definitely need adult supervision, even when the water is calm. Obviously nothing the hotel can do about that, just something for readers to know. Other features deserve a mention as well—the gym was stronger than most resort gyms I’ve seen (boutique hotels), and the overall feel of the property is both romantic and family-friendly. It’s rare to find a hotel that can pull off both equally well, but Caramel Grecotel does. Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I would 100% recommend it to friends and family, whether for a romantic getaway or a family trip.

The waiters were always smiling and nothing was ever too much for them. A huge thank you to Alex, the hotel manager, who was incredibly warm and welcoming with our whole family - he really made our stay feel extra special and relaxing. We would also love to thank the reception team and the cleaners, who were just as lovely and made everything feel effortless throughout our stay. It was our first time at Caramel but our second stay at a Grecotel, and honestly both experiences have been 5⭐️. It just makes us want to explore even more Grecotel hotels in the future. Caramel was one of the best hotel stays I have ever experienced and I do not take that statement lightly. From the second we walked in the front doors the service was impeccable. The property is lovely and peaceful and the decor is exceptional. Breakfast and dinners were absolutely perfect with countless buffet style items to choose from, all of which tasting great. Pool and beach are wonderful and a delightful place to hangout and chill during the day. Both of which you can order from the pool/beach bar menu (try the Bao it was super good). The rooms were elegant and comfortable and the beach villa we had was more than spacious enough for the whole family. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job. What really made the stay truly amazing was the hospitality and standard of service they employ here, it was a profoundly unforgettable experience. Special thanks to Alexandros for keeping me safe with my nut allergy 🙏🏼. Only one thing I’d note is it could be hard for younger kids to swim on the beach with the combination of waves (on certain days) and rocky landscape. Overall, this place truly embodies 5 star service and checks off all the boxes. I could not recommend somewhere more.

We have been to the Caramel four times now, and every time our expectations have been exceeded. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and attentive; absolutely committed to providing an excellent experience. Breakfast and dinner are of superior choice and quality, so we went for half-board this time and have no regrets. The hotel is child-friendly, and while it is not in any way noisy or annoying, expect a few little humans having a good time.
