Seafood restaurant
Tracy's King Crab Shack is a popular waterfront eatery in Juneau, known for its locally caught crab legs, bisque, and seafood bites. Tracy, the founder, was inspired by her love for crabbing and the fishing industry when she moved to the city in 1996. The shack offers mouth-watering king crab dishes just a short walk from the port during summer months.
If you’re visiting Alaska and stopping in Juneau- you have to stop at Tracy King Crab Shack. Now I don’t eat seafood and glad they had something for me to eat while my family enjoyed 2lbs of legs amongst other things. I had the pulled pork slider and it was very delicious just wished they could’ve included at least a burger to their menu. However the fries was amazing- not sure if it’s the seasoning but the flavor was amazing and I’m not a fry guy. My wife and extended family enjoyed their food. The place is amazing to visit for the experience. While I was there we sat next to a table of five guys and they were getting attention. Now I thought maybe players or musicians and they were a group of guys that do a-cappella and stopped in. They were performing on the Royal Caribbean Quantum of the Seas which was our Alaskan cruise Sept 15-22, 2025. Recommended.
J S — Google review
We went in with hungry bellies and came out stuffed. The crab legs were $45/lbs for king crab and my partner had a great time eating that by himself lol. I had the battered shrimp which was also pretty good. I wanna say their standouts are the sides! The slaw, fries, rolls and the bisque was outstanding. It’s in tourist area and we paid tourist prices so that was understandable.
Aswathy C — Google review
When in Rome right? Okay so this isn't Rome, but if you are going on an Alskan Cruise this is a must. In Juneai you have got to make it a stop if you love Crab Legs. I got the Red King Crab and it was so worth it. Giant meaty pieces and the bisque was delicious. The place is busy Andy only disappointment is getting a glass of water. You have to saunter up to the bar and ask for one. There is out door seating and plenty of atmosphere to enjoy, but who eats atmosphere anyways?? Get you a fat crab leg and be happy.
Robert K — Google review
don’t be intimidated by the long wait and price, it’s definitely worth it! we paid $480 for 4 lbs of alaskan red king crab served w/ coleslaw, warm garlic rolls and butter. you can ask for more garlic rolls because it’s sooooo good! 2 tracy’s famous king crab bisque, mini crab cakes, beer battered shrimp, snow crab nachos, 2 jasmine rice, 2 beers, and 3 fountain drinks. a must stop when in Juneau!
Mimi G — Google review
Oh my lanta—absolutely incredible! Everything we heard pointed us to Tracy’s King Crab Shack for the best crab legs in Juneau—and now we know why. I honestly can’t imagine them being better anywhere else. We shared the #1 Crab Shack Combo with Alaskan Red King Crab, and it was perfect for two. I was tempted to ring the bell for the 3-pound bucket, but there’s no way my wife and I could’ve tackled that alone—these legs are massive! It’s not just about size, though—the flavor is phenomenal and totally worth the price. The atmosphere is casual, family-friendly, and fun. This place is worth every penny. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable Alaskan treat!
Herbie — Google review
My husband was thrilled with the amount of crab legs he got (a pound). The service was quick considering how busy they were. I love how they bring your food to you ("Joe from MD" "Scott from VA" and so on). There wasn't much on the menu if you don't or can't eat seafood.
Amy D — Google review
Tracy’s King Crab Shack in Juneau totally lived up to the hype. If you love seafood—or even if you're just curious—this place is a must-try while you're in town. We got the crab combo with a giant king crab leg, crab bisque, and a crab cake, and everything was delicious. The crab was sweet, super fresh and tender, and the bisque was rich and flavorful. The place has a fun, casual vibe. You order at the counter, and they bring your food out while calling your name and where you're from (which adds a fun touch). Seating is mostly outdoors under a big tent, and the staff was friendly and fast, even with a long line. Yes, it’s a little pricey—but honestly, the quality makes it worth it. You’re getting real Alaskan king crab, and it’s a memorable experience.
Vibricia P — Google review
The line moves pretty good! It's worth the wait . It is a little pricey but I have spent more for a steak house here at home . We was on a cruise and was worth every penny. The bisque was to die for and the crab cakes yummy and the star of the show KING CRAB knocked it out of the park . It really was a highlight of the cruise . Was so full which was good right before we went shopping! Take the time and go spend the extra and enjoy yourself!

Eclectic restaurant
Restaurant
Salt is a modern, upscale restaurant located in downtown Juneau, Alaska. It offers regionally inspired New American cuisine and an extensive wine list. The restaurant underwent a half-million-dollar renovation to create a more welcoming and modern atmosphere, featuring sleek red, black, and white decor. In addition to its sophisticated dishes without pretension, Salt also boasts an excellent craft cocktail program.
The food, service and ambience were perfect. This was easily the best dining experience I’ve had in Juneau. I had a craving for a cheeseburger and it was amongst the most delicious I’ve ever had. The beer selection is solid. I ordered the cheesecake for dessert along with a wonderful Expressotini. Prices are on par with restaurants around of similar caliber in the lower 48. My server was perfectly attentive and very pleasant :)
John C — Google review
Nice and cozy atmosphere—comfortable and pretty. We enjoyed the ambiance. The service was good, but the waiter forgot to place our oyster order, so we never received them. At this point, most restaurants usually offer forgotten items as a complimentary gesture. The host behaved decently but wasn’t particularly welcoming. The cocktails were excellent—especially the France 75 and Pearfection. We asked for them to be made less sweet and really enjoyed the result. The food was okay. The “Eggplant and Basil” dish somehow turned out to be pasta, and the "basil" consisted of just two leaves. Given the price, we expected a nice, freshly made basil sauce or something more special. Our waiter didn’t explain the menu as thoroughly as the one who was serving the neighboring table. The Tortellini Reggiano was tasty, but the pasta itself was dry and seemed a bit old. The chicken, however, was good and flavorful.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A True Gem in Downtown Juneau! Salt is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Juneau. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between modern and cozy, making it a great spot for date nights, special occasions, or just treating yourself to a really good meal. The space feels upscale but still very inviting and relaxed. The food is consistently phenomenal — thoughtfully crafted, beautifully plated, and absolutely delicious. Their menu showcases fresh, high-quality local ingredients, with a great variety of seafood, meats, and vegetarian options. The seasonal specials are always worth trying, and their desserts are just as impressive as their entrées. The bar is also a standout. They offer creative craft cocktails, a solid wine list, and local beers — it’s a great place to grab a drink even if you’re not staying for dinner. Service is always warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. You can tell the staff takes pride in what they do and they genuinely care about creating a great dining experience. Salt truly feels like a special part of Juneau’s food scene. If you’re visiting, this is a must-try. And if you’re local, you’ll want to come back again and again.

Very disappointing meal, with a memorable server who we really liked. For the price, you'll be expecting serious skill in the kitchen. But really, it's just luxurious proteins fussed over with too many ingredients, and all 3 dishes I tasted were too sweet. The bone marrow is smothered in herbs and pickled onions and some sweet fruit preserves. The bread was great though. The king salmon was served over cold rice (I asked, cold on purpose, but not a good idea) and again, sweet fruity sauce all over it. The shallot split into a pretty flower on the side still had the skin on it, so when I took a bite I had a big wad of skin to spit out. The zucchini noodles under that shallot were just okay, we've made better at home. My wife got the sablefish, which was the best dish, but it too was too fussy and too sweet. Our server was a terrific young man who we enjoyed talking to a lot, so we tipped well, but I thought the food was just bad. It's a nice quiet room to be in, but it didn't salvage the meal.

We had are reception here after having our small destination wedding in Juneau. The service is received from the first point of contact was first rate and the service day of was excellent as well. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed all course we ordered and the staff was patient and kind in accommodating our needs. Thank you to everyone who made our big day great.
Ted H — Google review
The sablefish was phenomenal as well as the crab bisque. The gnocchi and caprese salad were good. And the lamb tenderloin was okay. Our server, Drake, provided us with the best service we have received since moving to Juneau. Thank you for the experience. We will be back.
Kaitlyn D — Google review
SALT is literally the only fine-dining spot in Juneau, so it could easily be mediocre without much competition. Instead, each dish is delicious and thoughtfully prepared! They use truly local ingredients, which is difficult in this part of the world, leading to a noticeable price increase. But if you're looking for really good upscale seafood in Juneau, this is the spot.
Kyle C — Google review
Great place to eat and drink. Had Erica the first night food and service was great. Second night had Scott the bartender waiting on us. Spent over $300.00 then he gave us our bill without asking and made us feel uncomfortable and we left.

Step into the Red Dog Saloon and be transported to a Western-style spot with pub eats, complete with swinging doors and a sawdust floor. This famous saloon has been in its current location since 1988, but it has a rich history of moving around over the years. The atmosphere is quirky and unique, featuring community singing and an old west meets Northern Exposure feel.
Stopped here on our way back to the cruise ship. Had the famous duck fart and they didn’t disappoint. Husband got fish and chips. He enjoyed very much. I had chowder and it was good with oyster crackers. Such a fun experience and great music!
Lori P — Google review
This is another place to set your expectations. You don't want to eat here. It's a fun tourist trap with live music and a cute saloon theme, including actual sawdust on the floor. The food is fair. Everyone comes for the Duck Fart. It's an odd shot, but I guess it works. The beer choices were good. I had a nice local beer-Red Dog Ale. My reindeer sausage was so bland I had to ask for mustard. The pizza was like a cheap frozen one. I guess it really had reindeer meat, but who could tell?? The service was good. The waitress did a great job of keeping up with the mob of tourists. Go for the fun, music and drinks.
Sunshine — Google review
Other than the atmosphere, I'm not sure where all the 5 star reviews are coming from! The food is your typical bar food, nothing out of the ordinary and definitely nothing top rated! The drinks were standard bar drinks and the duck farts were just like all the other duck farts I've had at all the other party places I've had them! We sat at the bar and the service was borderline rude, like we were bothering her or something. The place is super cool though with live music, 3-6 inches of sawdust on the floor and decor taking you back to the gold rush days. If there's a line out front, I can't say as it's worth the wait, there's way better places to eat and drink!
Cindy P — Google review
Fun place to stop, have a meal, do a duck fart shot, and see Wyatt Earp's pistol. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun. You get a sense of going back a couple of decades in time. Service was very good. Standard tourist prices but not crazy expensive. The food is quality and bang for the buck (money). If I visit Juneau, the Red Dog will be on my list to stop.
Art — Google review
The Red Dog was highly recommended to us. We took a cruise to Alaska and the fish place we went. Not disappointed at all. The chowder was worth it alone. We got the "DUCK FART" shot. I got the Red Dog Beer and was very smooth. My wife got the Alaskan Kölsch Ale. I highly recommend this place. It's eclectic with live music that was amazing.
Robert D — Google review
As close to an authentic late 19th century saloon as you will find. Great atmosphere, good beer, people that were eating appeared to relish their food. Fast, friendly service, expect to queue a little if there are several cruise ships disgorging several thousand visitors simultaneously
Colin J — Google review
Atmosphere – 5 Stars Stepping into the Red Dog Saloon is like walking into the Old West. The place oozes character—sawdust on the floor, historical memorabilia everywhere, and a two-level layout with tables both downstairs and on a balcony overlooking the bar. There’s a lively energy throughout, complete with live entertainment from a piano player and singer that gives the place an authentic saloon feel. Service – 5 Stars The staff was dressed in period costumes, adding to the immersive, frontier-style experience. Our server was friendly, quick, and attentive—service couldn’t have been better. Food – 4 Stars The food was delicious and memorable. I had the McKinney Pork Sandwich, which came topped with coleslaw and provolone cheese on a toasted bun—easily one of the best pork barbecue sandwiches I’ve had. It was flavorful, perfectly balanced, and came with a bag of chips. We also tried the clam chowder, which was rich, hearty, and filled with chunky pieces of fish. Another highlight was the Nunivak Reindeer Sandwich, served on a toasted baguette with grilled onions and provolone cheese—a savory, hearty option that looked and tasted like a gourmet kielbasa sandwich. Overall The Red Dog Saloon is an experience as much as it is a meal. Between the historic atmosphere, engaging entertainment, standout service, and flavorful food, we had a fantastic time. Definitely a must-visit when in Juneau.
Honest R — Google review
Loud, crowded, and lots of fun!!! Food is absolutely scrummy! Gotta try the duck fart shot, too! Crown, Baileys and Kahlua....just superb! While it took awhile to get our order taken...it was served up quick and hot. This place got very busy with cruise ships in dock and excursions coming to an end. Main floor and loft seating to help accommodate larger number of patrons.

The Hangar On The Wharf is a popular spot in Juneau, housed in a converted 1930s airplane hangar on an old wooden pier. It offers a diverse menu and over 20 beers on tap. Visitors can enjoy their drinks while taking in the stunning views of the harbor and surrounding peaks from the balcony. The venue also serves freshly caught seafood such as halibut, king crab, and wild salmon year-round.
Such an amazing experience! After so many days of cruise buffet food and tourist traps, this place was legit. Everything is homemade. The portions are perfect, above average. The quality is very high. It's a very convenient walk from the cruise ports. It's in a building with other businesses, it seemed a little odd getting there. But once you're there, it is beautiful, great experience and pictures. The food though, amazing! I got a burger and the shrimp and washed down with the grasshopper mint chocolate chip pie, which I can't explain how good it was. The decor, was all of aviation and so many plane tanking from the ceiling. The view was breathtaking as you get to see all the mountains right out the big windows. The Hanger is a must, you'll be happy that you did.
Steve M — Google review
Located in the heart of Juneau, next to port where usually Quantam of the seas docks in the blue colored building next to it. This is a busy place and usually there is a wait about 20 mins. We ordered lazy suzy, king crab, fettuccine and the soup. The soup was delicious and savory. The highlight is the crab meat, very fresh. Visit if you can and support local business
Suresh J — Google review
Visiting. Abby was an absolute gem! We sat by the bar and were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery from our seats. The establishment is ADA friendly (ample space for my husband to navigate his electric wheelchair) and has a very cool vibe. We ordered the oysters, Caesar salad, wings, and pretzels. All were great choices.
Hina K — Google review
Beautiful view! Good food. Good beer selection. Ended up here after a local said she eats here weekly. It is a great place. There was a 20-minute wait for a table, but the bar was open. The bartender was on top of things! He had the order in fast and correctly. The bar ended up being a nice place to chat with more locals! I had the salmon burger. Excellent!!! The only ding was the sweet potato fries. You have to pay more for them, and they were soggy. They were still tasty. There are pool tables upstairs if you have time to play.
Sunshine — Google review
The line is long, but definitely worth it! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was amazing. I tried the “chowder of the day,” made with halibut and salmon. It was the best chowder I’ve had in Alaska—so creamy and flavorful. It came with sourdough bread and crackers. The garlic-flavored bread was served hot, which made it even better. Overall, I had a wonderful lunch and would highly recommend this place.
Sae K — Google review
I really enjoyed the crab here and the salmon soup. I didn’t think the salmon soup in the bread bowl was going to be that good but it was honestly the best thing on the menu besides the crab. I also tried some of the shrimp but those were just so so. The prices were reasonable for Alaska, especially in a tourist area. We sat outside and got a great view of some of the sea planes landing. It was a perfect evening and the weather was just right in early September. It’s in a short walk from the cruise ships and there are buses. That’ll take you back-and-forth to the downtown area. I definitely recommend checking out this area even if you don’t eat at this restaurant, but if you do it at this restaurant, then you’ll enjoy the food because it was very delicious.
J T — Google review
Great atmosphere! Watched planes landing and taking off on the water. We ordered the seafood chowder and the grilled salmon. Salmon was way over cooked, dry and leathery. Sent it back to the chef, the second one was better, but not great.
Nancy R — Google review
Aug 2, 2025 we went to Juneau to Celebrate our 45th Wedding anniversary. Every year we choose a different restaurant and fly there. We had a few choices in Juneau but settled on The Hanger. They did not disappoint! No, it’s not a fancy dress up place or even very romantic unless you love Airplanes as much as I do! After 45 years, I think my wife and I have figured it out. I had the Grilled Halibut, she the Macadamia crusted Halibut and the consensus was….. Fresh Halibut should be eaten simply grilled with butter! Don’t get me wrong, she also enjoyed the Macadamia, however it masked the wonderful flavor of the Halibut. Oh yeah, we also ordered 1 pound of King Crab just to top it all off. Delicious. We had reservations for a window with a view, which we showed up a bit early for, but within 15 minutes we were at our table enjoying the view. “Tag Teamed” by a Mother and Daughter waitress team, (Sorry you guys I didn’t write down your names but I’m sure the establishment can get you the accolades you deserve). We were never without great service and they didn’t even know it was a special occasion! Once Mom found out, she removed the Cream Brule from our ticket even though I insisted she didn’t. Make a reservation, however they wait isn’t bad if you don’t and the Bar is always open!!! Worth any wait. Thanks again John & Trish Tempe, Arizona

Located at the Flight Deck in downtown Juneau, Alaska Fish & Chips Company is a popular spot offering a laid-back atmosphere and a variety of fried fare, sandwiches, and salads. The restaurant features indoor-outdoor seating on the boardwalk with incredible views of the harbor. Specializing in seafood, their menu includes Halibut Fish & Chips, fish tacos, sandwiches, king crab, corndogs, clam strip baskets and more. Additionally, they offer local beer to complement your meal.
My wife and I had a great time at Alaska Fish and Chips Company. We had salmon chowder and reindeer sausage, which we have never had before. They were delicious! We also ordered the french fries, which were perfectly crispy and seasoned. Our bartender/server, Rod, was super friendly and gave us a hack to dip the french fries in the salmon chowder. Great times and great view!
Dr. N — Google review
We found this place by accident, but I was soo happy we did! The fish was tempura battered and the fries were seasoned to perfection & crunchy! The star of the show besides the fish was the tartar sauce - holy moly it was so fresh, with the best flavors! We had to try the reindeer corn dog! It had a great crunch and snap, meat was very tasty and juicy!
Shawnna C — Google review
Pretty sure I walked into this place and not another restaurant called Alaska Fish and Chips in the exact same spot, but the halibut fish and chips I was served looked nothing like the ones from previous reviews! We ordered a small lunch of fish and chips ($29.99) and a cup of salmon chowder ($10) which rounded out to $50 including taxes and tip. Yes, much cheaper than the king crab legs catching the eye of most other tourists, but did not feel quite worth it given the portion size and taste. This was four tiny pieces of halibut, a sizeable portion of fries, and coleslaw that we didn't end up touching. I don't have much good to say about the halibut. The salmon chowder was okay, I'm glad I got the smallest portion as it was more filling than expected. It does have small chunks of fish but is also quite packed with unknown vegetables which made it seem more hearty. This could still be decent value given the higher prices of food in Juneau, but I would not recommend. Service was friendly at least.
Rachel S — Google review
We stopped in for some beer before our glacier flight tour. ATMOSPHERE: The bar/restaurant is located on the pier near the floatplanes and is part of the Merchant's Wharf Mall. The interior is a plain space with no decor, with bar and table seating. The bar area opens to the outdoor seating area with big garage door-style windows and creates an airy feeling. The outdoor seating area has nice views of the harbor area and ocean. There's a parked food truck-like stand which wasn't open but signage started to order food through the bartender. They offer a bunch of seafood apps, chowder, sandwiches, crab boil, and ribs. BEVERAGE: Alaskan White This has become my new favorite beer on this trip. It's tastes similar to Blue Moon but better. SERVICE: Nothing noteworthy. I don't expect much from a mostly seasonal touristy establishment and I was right. OVERALL: Head into the town area and find something there to eat.

Great place to get an Alaskan meal along the water. Highly recommend the fish tacos. Tasted amazing. Place sites right along the water. Great view and great food. Service is exceptionally and fast.

One of the only shops I found in Town that actually has salmon chowder which was quite tasty nice big chunks of salmon I think it was 16 oz which I could barely finish it and I have a delicious kolsh beer too.

Great food, go for the fish and chips! Service was pretty fast considering the number of tables, food came out pretty quickly. It's right by the water but close to the tour planes very noisy. Really close to the cruise ship docks. Great meeting point for some finger licking food!

$85 for a pound of Alaskan lobster legs and I loved every bit of it! The meat was so tender, juicy, delicious! The ambiance of the place is better than Tracys! I am so grateful my friends suggested meeting here after I waited more than 30 minutes in Tracys in the rain (yes, you have to stand in line without a roof) to order). The staff were great too! Deckhand Dave's Fish Tacos is a popular food stand in Juneau, Alaska, known for its delicious Mexican fish tacos. The menu features salmon, rockfish, and halibut tacos that are fresh and flavorful with an optional spicy kick. These tacos are topped with pico de gallo, cabbage, cilantro, and sauce and can be enjoyed with an Alaskan beer on a sunny day. Customers have the option to order them individually or as part of a sampler.
If and when you visit Juneau, Alaska Fish Taco: The fish taco was absolutely fantastic—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The fish was tender and fresh, wrapped in a soft corn tortilla with just the right amount of tangy sauce and crunchy cabbage toppings. It was a perfect harmony of textures and flavors that left me wanting more. Loaded Fish Fries: The loaded fish fries were a true delight! Crispy fries smothered tangy sauces. The fish pieces on top were juicy and well-seasoned, adding a wonderful contrast to the crispy fries. An indulgent and satisfying dish that hits all the right notes! Homemade Ice Cream & Waffle Cone: To top off the meal, the homemade ice cream was creamy and rich, bursting with authentic flavor. The waffle cone was perfectly crunchy and sweet, making each bite a delightful treat. A fantastic finish that added a sweet, comforting touch to an already incredible meal

4 Stars – Fun, Unique Spot in Downtown Juneau Deckhand Dave’s was recommended to us by a local, and it turned out to be a great choice for a quick and casual bite. The setup is really unique, it feels like a lively outdoor food truck park right in the heart of downtown Juneau. There’s plenty of seating available, much of it under cover, and even some tables with fire pits, which makes it a cozy spot to relax, especially on cooler Alaskan days. The atmosphere is laid-back and fun, with a good mix of locals and visitors creating a friendly, energetic vibe. It’s not your typical sit-down restaurant, but that’s part of the charm. The food came out quickly and was fresh and flavorful, perfect for grabbing something tasty without taking too much time away from exploring Juneau. Overall, it’s a memorable and unique dining experience that captures a bit of Juneau’s local character. Definitely worth checking out if you’re downtown and in the mood for something casual, flavorful, and different.

Tacos were awesome! Had the sampler and got a little taste of all varieties! Perfect size meal. Great outdoor seating area…covered for the rain. Great selection of beverages. Beer…mixed drinks, etc. Highly recommend!

After a 2 week vacation to Alaska and the PNW, this is the place I dream about. 🫠🥲This is hands down some of the best food we had during the whole trip. The fish tacos were built brilliantly. The spicy sauce was exquisite, and everything tasted like it was caught or picked that morning. Super fresh! My wife had the Trash Bear with Halibut. Also know as "dirty fries" and they were out of this world. She was nice enough to let me eat some of hers, and it was borderline life-changing. We might have to plan another trip soon just for this restaurant! The atmosphere was cool, with great music, fire pits, and tons of seating. We were lucky to be here on a warm, sunny day, but I would still embrace the wet and cold for these dishes! Highly recommend! The oysters next door were also very good and came with their own vinaigrette. I'm not sure if they're part of the same company but definitely deserve the shoutout!

Got the beer battered rock fish tacos, was sooo tasty! Also the salmon tots & halibut cake, both good! The vibe of this whole place is great. & the view is awesome

So glad that we stopped here. The fish tacos were delicious, the fries were good, and I especially appreciated the fresh oysters and sparkling wine! The atmosphere was awesome, the staff was super friendly, and it felt like a place that locals and visitors enjoy. Highly recommend!

Outstanding fish tacos!! This is a fun food truck court. The sauces are good (I wouldn't call their hot version hot, but it is flavorful). Quick service. Fantastic fries! Love the fire pits. Everyone just sits and chats with everyone. Met some locals and then some fellow Texans!

Delicious, flavorful tacos with fish cooked to perfection! The halibut chowder was incredible, too, and the dirty fries were a perfect side to go with our meal.

Coffee shop
Cafe
Coppa, a charming cafe in Juneau, has an interesting origin story. It began with the owner making homemade rhubarb sherbet with his daughter and selling it at a local farmers market. Due to its popularity, the cafe was opened in 2013. The menu features handmade ice cream, espresso, baked goods, and lunch items.
We stopped by Coppa Cafe in Juneau for a quick coffee, and it did not disappoint! The service was fast and super friendly, and the cafe itself was spotless and inviting. Our coffee was absolutely delicious—perfectly brewed, rich, and just what we needed to kickstart our day. It’s always a plus when you can enjoy great service alongside quality coffee. We’ll definitely be coming back next time we’re in town!

Wonderful place for a cup and treats. Donut Fridays are a must and the Ukrainian daily specials are my favorite. Great place to take my boys before school for their London Fogs and pastries. Just wish they were open on weekends - especially Sundays.

We stopped here for some coffee and a gnosh. Carrot ginger soup was delicious and came with a generous hunk of sourdough bread. Berry muffin was also yummy. Lattes were made to perfection. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant spot to sit and chat over a nice coffee and treat

Solid coffee in Juneau where other coffee shops are lacking. Good cappuccino and seasonal lattes. Also, take a look at there bake goods as they have a small but great selection if you visit in the morning. Lastly, we hear they have donuts on Fridays but they go quick!

Great coffee options. Best scones I have ever had!! Big; crispy on the outside; lots of fresh fillings; soft on the inside. Im coming back even just for the scones! And they open pretty early! 630am.

Delicious sausage and breakfast panini! Coffee bean flavor is on the fruity and tart side, as opposed to a nutty flavor. (Just to help for people who have a preference like me) Otherwise, it was a well prepared latte.

Best carrot ginger soup of my life. These folks are amazing and create some delicious cozy foods. Highly recommend. Thank you all so much!!!

The place is located downtown, so it's easy to go, right next to the bus stations. There's place inside and outside to sit. There's some options for lunch, and it's normal price (I mean, compared to other places over there). There's some vegan and vegetarian option. The people working there are nice.

Alaskan Crepe Escape-Valley is a popular food cart in Gunakadeit Park, Juneau, offering a diverse menu of sweet and savory crepes, healthy smoothies, and flavorful espresso. Situated against the stunning backdrop of mountains, this food cart is open daily from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. It's a must-visit spot for those looking to indulge in delicious crepes while enjoying the picturesque surroundings.
I wish they'd had such nice things when I lived here. One of the best crepes I've ever had (I had the garlic chicken special for breakfast). Gabby was super sweet and took her time to make sure it was delicious and came out looking really beautiful, too!
Anja_Akstin — Google review
The crepe food truck is located in a good spot with other choices and several fire pits so you can stay warm. Their hot tea was so good. They added lemon and it was nicely flavored. I had not expected that. They had a lot of business and kept a steady pace. They have a lot of choices for sweet and savory crepes. They weren't the best crepes I've had. I'm sure it's hard to make outstanding crepes with the rain and cold. They were okay.
Sunshine — Google review
We were excited to try this unique food truck. The teenage girl w/ braces took our order. Thats when the excitement ended. She completely lacked customer service skills, no friendliness. Pushy & curt for us to order. Then she wrote down my husband’s order wrong & blamed him for it when he asked for it to be fixed. What a disappointment. First & last time experience. Need to train and practice customer service skills esp w/ the prevalence of unsociable teens today. Simple food, simple orders shouldn’t be that hard to write down & its best practice to read an order back to customers. Food is decent but not anything exciting. For $65 for 4 crepes, I’d rather go to an indoor place w/ better service.

The Dubai Chocolate Crepe with Raspberries..... OMG! I'm so sad I live thousands of miles away. Maybe I should be glad they are not easily assessable because I would buy them way too often. Delicious! 😋

Ordered their special of a pumpkin crepe, and I was not disappointed. It was a perfect combination of a crepe and a slice of homemade pumpkin pie. Almost ordered a second because it was so good. FIL ordered a berry crepe an was also very please with it.

Updated 2025.06.12. The Alaskan Crepe Escape and Devil's Hideaway were the only two food truck vendors opened. Devil's Hideaway was more expensive and would take 30 minutes wait. We went with the crepe as it was cheaper and faster. The Gastineau Crepe was alright, a light snack that would do but not very filling. Being outdoors at this location was alright when the weather is cooperating, but it started to rain just as we started to eat. Something with more protein and carbs needed to feel more satiated. Friendly staff, credit cards accepted, but not American Express.

Just had the best crepe of my life hands down! Hats off to Rihanna for the fantastic suggestion and Maddie for the flawless execution. Been a fan of crepe escape for a year or two and keep coming back to try new ones. Their spiced chai is to die for and they’re one of only two places in town that consistently make superlative lattes, IMHO. So glad you’re here! Keep up the excellent work!

Located at 550 S. Franklin St., Twisted Fish Company Alaskan Grill offers a casual dining experience with stunning water views through its soaring windows. The restaurant boasts an extensive wine list and serves up local seafood in a variety of dishes, from tacos to white wine sauce. Its sister restaurant, the Hangar on the Wharf, provides standard American cuisine and a wide selection of beers with great views at 2 Marine Way.
The Clam Chowder is the best we ever tasted so far. The seafood and clam almost melt in your mouth with its buttery soup that is perfectly spiced. The halibut and salmon are fresh and flaky with just the right amount of salt and pepper complimented with its blueberry sauce. The crab cakes have clumps of crab meat, you can really taste the freshness. The staff is friendly and service is fast. I highly recommend this restaurant when you visit Juneau, Alaska.

The King Crabs were amazing. We got 3lbs for 5 because 3 of us just wanted a taste. The Crab Cakes & Crab and artichoke dip were both outstanding. The asparagus was by far the best I’ve ever had. Atmosphere was top notch plus amazing service. Our waitress and host were both from South Africa for the season. They both believe they will return next year. That speaks volumes for an establishment.
Leslie F — Google review
Overall this place was an okay place to enjoy lunch. It’s towards the end of the pier, but had no line unlike the other places we passed. The hot crab and artichoke did was very cheesy. The twisted pasta with salmon was delicious! Very large portion size. The prawns on the Barbie was tasty, but kind of plain. The highlight was the halibut. We ordered this after someone recommended it and we weren’t disappointed. The curly fries taste like any curly fries you had that come frozen in a bag. The codfish wasn’t great, so I would recommend just going with the halibut. The staff were friendly despite being busy. I’m not sure we would go again, but I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to eat in the port.
KC — Google review
The staff was hammered by the docking cruise ships, but they were ever so attentive to us. We had made a reservation and it was waiting for us even as we arrived ten minutes early. The waiter came promptly and so did our food. They kept our beverages full and were completely professional in their serving. Then the delicious food came! I think this restaurant could up their game if they used linen napkins. There is just a bit of disappointment when seated at a nice restaurant with paper napkins.
Wendell H — Google review
They were not busy. We were there around 7:30. We got our appetizer about the same time as our entree. Bagels were burnt on the lox sampler. Do not expect a large crab leg. You may get a cluster. Which is fine. The crab was good. The fried halibut was SO bland. The tartar sauce was good. The server took the fish off our bill. Don’t think he was happy about it but whatever. The “chips” are curly fries which is ridiculous. Just go to Arby’s. At least theirs are crispy and taste better. Just sad for the price charged. Like most places you will also pay more for using a credit card. Guess charging for electricity is next. I do not recommend this place.

Skip the outdoor crab shack and sit down, relax, and enjoy your meal. Great crab (cakes and legs), and warm. Why wait outside when you can enjoy your vacation? Even the oysters here are ultra fresh and delicious.
Ryan — Google review
My partner heard of this place and I think ate here before. I really wanted to try Tracy's because of Yelp reviews, but I also wanted to eat something other than crab. ATMOSPHERE: The place is bustling with tourists. It's a wide open dining space with table seating, small bar area, and open kitchen. We sat at the bar for drinks and to eat. The entire room is wood from floor to ceiling. Very warm and inviting. FOOD: Cedar Plank Salmon - A nice sized fillet cooked on a cedar plank with a sweet & salty bourbon & molasses sauce for dipping, and a huge basket of seasoned curly fries. The salmon was tender and flavorful and the fries hot & crunchy. SERVICE: There was obviously a wait list because of the line. We stood right in front of the hostess stand for about 8 minutes, waiting for her to greet us. She kept looking at her list, tables and running utensils to tables. No eye contact, no greeting. Figuring we'd never be greeted, I interrupted her tunnel vision and asked for a table. SMH. In the mean time, I saw that the bar area was totally empty. We sat down for a beer and found out we could eat at the bar too. Perfect. The bartender Christian was awesome. He was patient, professional and super down to earth. He made the whole experience even better. OVERALL: Tourist hot spot but the food is really good. If the restaurant side is full, check out the bar area and sit there!

I'm glad I asked out driver for a local recommendation, because I probably wouldn't have stopped at a restaurant so close to the cruise port. But Twisted Fish came through. Their plank baked salmon came with a sweet bourbon sauce and asparagus. It was flaky and cooked just right. My wife had the salmon in puff pastry with shrimps and came with a beurre rouge (red butter) sauce that was tangy and suite.

Sandpiper Cafe is a popular daytime spot offering familiar breakfast and lunch dishes in a contemporary setting. It's known for its big, delicious and affordable breakfasts, with specialties like French toast stuffed with mascarpone cheese, gourmet omelets, and scrambles with elk and Italian sausage. The cafe also serves good coffee. While it can get busy, the staff does their best to accommodate guests. Additionally, the menu changes regularly and includes gluten-free options.
I had the smom3d salmon omelette and it was awesome. Smoked and melts in the mouth. The food came out relatively fast, service was friendly, and they are ON the coffee refills... I got like 3 top offs I think. This place is amazing (breakfast and lunch only). I highly recommend it.

Well, we ordered a salmon omelet and basic breakfast. We asked for the sourdough bread but it was made with yeast. It was not a sourdough bread. My potatoes were old and not well cooked. Omelet was ok. The eggs for basic breakfast were done exactly the way my friend ask over easy 😊 Coffee was eatery and quite bitter.

The walk from downtown is a bit of a trek, but the food at Sandpiper Café makes it worth it. The reindeer sausage Benedict was really flavorful and well-balanced, and the French toast was rich, sweet, and super filling. The lavender whipped cream looked fun but mostly tasted like regular whipped cream with a lot of purple coloring—I'd probably skip that next time. Overall, a great spot with solid food and a cozy vibe. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
Calvin T — Google review
I had breakfast this past week on a work trip to Juneau. I had the Smoked Salmon Omelet. The omelet was very good but the salmon was exceptional. If Juneau gets credit for anything it's their salmon. I think I went out to eat 3-4 times and had salmon in some form in every meal. Service was okay. There were missing items throughout our stay. We had to ask for items two or three times before receiving them.
Justin I — Google review
Food was above average. But very slow and unfriendly waitresses. Salmon scramble felt like an unique treat I should try at Alaska. Fruit plate was very good portion. Except for the brown bruised spots on the banana. Service was what deterred us from recommending and coming back. Very slow and unfriendly. Two tables came after us were served coffee and orders taken before they got to us. We tried so hard to get our waitress attention to get coffee refill, both times! Very disappointed with the service.

The Gold Creek Salmon Bake is an immersive Alaskan experience that offers a blend of history, nature, culture, and food. Visitors can indulge in all-you-can-eat salmon and other fresh seafood while enjoying the scenic surroundings of the rainforest and the nearby Salmon Creek waterfall. Additionally, guests have the opportunity to engage in activities such as gold panning at Wagner Mine and observing a Tlingit Master Carver at work on totem poles and silver.
One of the best spots we had food on our entire Alaskan cruise. This was the gem at the end of our entire day trip! Amazing food, great music and great atmosphere. Tables are snug right up against an active spawning stream! You can take a small 3-5min hike to a large waterfall for amazing scenery and great pictures! Besides incredible selection of food they also have a fire for roasting marshmallows! Highly recommend this to make a top priority stop while in town! 100% worth it!

Awesome food. Glorious ambiance. The stream was so lovely, the twinkle lights were magical. You smell the wood burning fire as you drive up. You’re surrounded by nature and trees and it is such a delight. The salmon with the honey butter glaze straight from the fire is incredible. I also really enjoyed the salads and the beans and the rice and cheesy potato casserole. We took the little walk through the woods to the waterfall. Saw the abandoned mine. Ran into someone who had panned for and found a fleck of gold. Just an amazing evening. Highly recommend!

One of the highlights of our cruise! Such a peaceful place with wonderful food and scenery. All the seating is covered, and heaters are provided in cold weather. The food was tasty and plentiful. The salmon delicious and the cheese potatoes heavenly. Clam chowder was fabulous, and they offer wild blueberry cake and smores provided for dessert. But the park itself was so lush, and peaceful to explore and photograph! From the old mine machinery to the beautiful waterfall, I wish we had had more time here. Flowers, tiny forest mushrooms, wild blueberry bushes, a musician singing old folk songs while softly playing guitar.... So restful!!

Excellent place!!!! Phenomenal staff!!! Delicious Salmon!!! I came here for a tour, and it was definitely worth the money. The salmon with brown sugar syrup or sauce was a nice touch on the salmon. The salmon was so fresh it felt like they just caught it that morning, and the cooks made it very tender. The lemonade was very good, and they even offer s'mores as a treat. It was definitely worth the try.

The Gold Creek Salmon Bake was such a fun and memorable part of my trip to Juneau. The whole place feels like a hidden forest spot with a peaceful creek and a little waterfall right nearby. The food was delicious especially the salmon which was grilled over alder wood and had this amazing smoky flavor. There was also chowder ribs wild rice salad and a really good blueberry cake for dessert. They had live music playing which made the whole experience even better and after eating I walked a short trail to check out the waterfall and even tried gold panning just for fun. The staff was super friendly and everything was really well organized. Even though it was a little rainy it didn’t matter at all since everything was covered and warm. If you are visiting Juneau and want to enjoy good food in a beautiful outdoor setting this is definitely worth checking out.
Armahn R — Google review
The setting at Gold Creek Salmon Bake is beautiful...surprisingly tucked just off the main road, but it feels like you’re in the middle of the woods. The short walk to the nearby waterfall and old mine is a lovely bonus, with interpretive signs and a chance for kids to “pan for gold.” The experience is definitely geared toward the cruise crowd. It is a high-volume and very touristy kind of place. The chowder station offers tiny sample cups, and the buffet includes salad, slaw, scalloped potatoes, beans, BBQ meats, and a separate area for grilled (not baked) salmon. Lemonade, coffee, and a tasty self-serve blueberry cake are included. Soda and alcohol cost extra. Live music adds a nice touch, though I felt bad seeing a sign asking guests to tip the performer, it made it feel a bit awkward. There’s also a small gift shop onsite if you're in the mood for souvenirs. Overall, it was a fun and convenient outing with friendly vibes and nice scenery, but the food was just okay, not memorable. If you're looking for a truly local, high-quality meal, you might be better off elsewhere. Recommended for first-timers wanting the “Alaska salmon bake” box checked.

This is an all-you-can-eat salmon bake, with salmon grilled over wood-burning grates for a delicious smoky flavor. The meal includes a salad bar with baked beans, coleslaw, BBQ ribs, cornbread, pickles, and beets. After you’ve had your fill, there’s a cozy firepit area where you can roast marshmallows—sticks are provided! The venue also features a gift shop and a scenic nature walk that leads to a beautiful waterfall. Live music adds to the lively and welcoming atmosphere. Water, lemonade, and tea are included with your meal, while alcohol and soft drinks are available for purchase. We drove ourselves, so our pricing may have differed from that of the excursion groups.
Diane C — Google review
Food Our party of four adults had a delightful experience at the Gold Creek Salmon Bake. Even though two of us don’t eat fish, the ribs, sides, cake, and overall atmosphere ensured everyone had a wonderful time. The standout dish of the meal was undoubtedly the glazed salmon. While the sides were satisfactory, none were particularly memorable. The blueberry cake was light and moist, but it could be enhanced with a few more berries or a berry sauce for those who prefer an extra touch. I advise bringing wet wipes for the kids. Shop The small shop on-site featured a variety of gift options, from plush toys to jewelry and much more. Atmosphere and Location The salmon bake took place entirely outdoors, and we arrived via bus. It was a self-serve experience in a covered, open-air setting, accompanied by a guitar soloist. We appreciated the organization provided by the various stations, but families with young children may find it a bit challenging, as someone would need to look after the kids while others explored each station multiple times. The open bar offered canned soft drinks at an additional cost. Our group sampled everything and especially enjoyed the glazed salmon and blueberry cake. S'mores kits were available for free but had to be requested. This event is flexible, allowing you to come and go as you please before continuing your day. Be sure to check out the stunning waterfall located at the back of the property!

Located on Douglas Island across the Gastineau Channel, The Island Pub is a popular spot offering breathtaking views of Mount Roberts. This full-service bar and restaurant is beloved by locals, especially due to its proximity to the hockey rink. The menu features a variety of local beers, brick-oven pizzas, wraps, and appetizers made from fresh local ingredients. Additionally, the pub hosts an annual pizza contest where winners get their creations featured on the menu.
A great local spot here in Juneau, Alaska. Technically, the city is Douglas, but it's right next to Juneau over the bridge. Multiple people told me to go try this space out. They have great Mojitos and pizza. The pizzas looked fabulous, but I went with the salmon dip. It was fresh local salmon and tasted terrific. The portion side of the bread was way better than the portion size of the salmon dip. Go with the pizza if you're hungry. Everything looked and smelled great. I had a Mojito as well with excellent fresh mint, and it was a nice refreshing cocktail. I would go back to this space again to try it out if I'm in town.

After years of hearing about this place I have finally made it out to try it! To be honest I think I was expecting more. We ordered half cheese half pepperoni pizza 🍕 Caesar salad with anchovies and their wings. Pizza was nothing to rave about - I personally liked the pepperoni over cheese. I know we ordered the most boring plain options and I see that they had more gourmet pizzas . I will have to come back to give those a try. Caesar salad was great and very huge- we barely finished it. I love anchovies on my salad but it threw me off that the plate that they came on was warm and the anchovies themselves were warm as well.. Wings were good flavor but maybe would have been better if the skin was more crispy it was soft and little soggy. Overall I am not very very impressed with this restaurant but I am willing to try it again for something different :) Service was prompt and friendly.

They have a lot of pizza options including specialty pizzas that were submitted by locals each year. They keep them on the menu for years. Apparently locals submit their own specialty pizza recipes and they test them and people vote, winners stay on the menu. Had a great view of the water and was a clean restaurant and bar. Service was good. I didn't love the pizzas we ordered but they were good. If i was there by myself i would have ordered differently and im sure id have loved it then. They had amazing salmon dip that is a must order. Would recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a good pizza while in Juneau. Locals claim it's the best pizza in town

Jerry's Meats & Seafood has been a go-to spot for quality fresh seafood in Juneau and Southeast Alaska for over 25 years. Their smoked king salmon, salmon spread, and crab dip are top sellers, prepared using a slow-smoking method over pure alder wood chips. The professional team offers quick turnaround times for freezing fish and can even ship orders to those living outside of Alaska.
Best place to get fresh Alaskan seafood in town! They also have really good jerky and dips! Friendly, quick service. Knowledgeable about their products and they ship!

Had a wonderful discussion with Scott about varieties of smoked fish. We came here on recommendation of chef when we asked about best places to purchase smoked fish. We purchased four varieties to take home. They are fine with minimal refrigeration for less than 24 hours. Though Scott had us taste some smoked fish that was just taken off the smoker (yum!), I wish they offered tastings of all their smoked fish even if it was at a cost. Jerry’s is a bit of a ride from town but an easy bus trip. Several city buses stop right out front and only cost $2 each way.

If you desire high-quality meats and seafood, Jerry's is the place to shop. Every product that I have purchased was superb. My favorites are fresh salmon, smoked salmon, fresh Halibut, bacon, salmon dip, crab dip, and the extremely addictive jalapeño cheese dip. Writing this review has made me hungry. It's time to visit Jerry's again.

Fresh king salmon, in house homemade jerky and the best meatloaf I've ever had! And that's just the tip of the iceberg for there food selection. But variety of different meats and dips and all kinds of stuff. Definitely check it out!

So much meat! You can smell the smoke as you walk in. Lots of fresh, frozen, and smoked meats. Even fresh local oysters!

I was told they had the best salmon jerky. I figured it was fresh, not packaged. I could've bought what they had at Fred Meyer.

Delicious sausage and smoked salmon. Must hoard if you have a fridge in your Airbnb.
