Mel's Hard Luck Diner, located in Branson, MO within the Grand Village Shopping Center, offers a unique dining experience with its 1950s-style decor and singing servers. The staff consists of professional musicians, singers, and songwriters who entertain guests throughout their meal. The menu features classic comfort foods like the Hard Luck cheeseburger and High Rollin beef pot roast.
Fantastic fun at Mel's Diner. We were a party of two and managed to get right in on a Friday afternoon. I ordered the Cheese steak sandwich, while my wife decided on a Banana split with a side of Onion rings. Our waitress recommended to order my sandwich with onion rings and have the fries as the side to save a bit of cash, which is what we did. Once the food arrived we were both entranced by the size of the banana split. I decided to help my wife try to eat this enormous offering and basically just enjoyed a couple bites of my sandwich with the Intention of taking it home. We just couldn't finish the delicious split, although we gave it a valiant effort. During the meal we enjoyed hearing 5 or 6 different wait staff sing various genres of music. All are very talented and were local performers at various shows in Branson as well as working here at Mel's Diner.

Fun atmosphere with talented singing servers (they have to audition to get a server job). I had the Ruben with fries $16.50 which was served hot, but very soggy. The flavor was good, but I really missed the usually raspberry accompaniment. Hubby had a huge Southwest salad with crispy chicken $16.50 and said it was very good. We saw a cherry float made and it made us promise each other we'd come back for ice cream 🍨another day.
Patricia V — Google review
We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed this place. The wait staff are also performers and take turns serenading the patrons. It is a little louder at times because of the performances. The food was the best we've had our whole vacation and they are on our list of places to revisit. Portions are big and flavors are wonderful.
Herb L — Google review
This was a great place! The servers sing while they're serving and it was just such a fun atmosphere. Food was good too and they offered several gluten free options and had a gluten sensitive menu.
Cat ( — Google review
The cheese steak, fries, and chocolate shake were all pretty good. Our first server, Kharie, seemed very nice, but for some reason she was switched out for a different server as soon as we sat down. I was bummed we didn't get to hear her sing because her track list seemed cool. It said there were CDs available for purchase but I couldn't find it in the shop. I think Matt was the second server and he was also nice, and he had a pleasant singing voice. 4 stars mainly because the intermittent singing made it hard to have conversations and also it meant that the server was unavailable for several minutes when we had already finished our food and were ready to leave.
Alec D — Google review
We LOVED our experience! We were so happy that we got to finally have a meal at Mel’s diner! There was a huge line when we got there but we literally waited for maybe 5 minutes!! Our waitress, Ondria was sooo sweet and an amazing singer! My brother & his fiancé loved their meals along with my girlfriend and I! We will definitely be coming back!!!
Emily W — Google review
Great food, friendly staff. The staff sing 50's songs to you while they serve you. It's not too loud to where you can still enjoy conversation at your table, but loud enough you can still hear the servers' beautiful singing voices. We never had an empty cup, as soon as we were done with a plate, someone was there to take it away, kept our table clean and easy to eat. Overall GREAT experience. This is our new Go-To when in Branson.
Trenton S — Google review
This is such a cool place to go! Only downside is they close early, so make plans to be there early. The servers are singers, and they're good! Really good! This restaurant is not for people looking for a quiet spot to eat. They have ice cream desserts you feel like you'll only ever see on TV. Ice cream pilled so high, filled with cookies. The food is really good too. I got the pot roast and would definitely order it again. Will have to come back next time we're in Branson.

Step into the Tuscan countryside-inspired ambiance of Florentina's Ristorante Italiano in Branson for a taste of traditional Italian cuisine. The restaurant offers a variety of homemade dishes, including antipasto salad and buttermilk fried calamari, served in a villa-inspired setting adorned with ivy and glowing lights. With over 15 pasta dishes, brick oven pizzas, and an array of appetizers on the menu, this upscale dining spot provides an authentic Italian experience.
Walked in, party of 2 and quickly greeted. Were told it'd be 35 minutes, not a big deal. Sat outside, watched the waitlist app and only waited 23 minutes before being seated. Javier was our waiter and he was EXCELLENT, very attentive and quick to bring drink refills and hot bread. My pizza came out quicker than expected and the order of chicken Alfredo followed shortly behind. Delicious food, great service and nice atmosphere, all good and highly recommended!
Adam T — Google review
Food arrived for 4 of the 6 at our table. First they said the food for the remaining 2 was coming out next. Then after everyone was done with their meals, they tell us they just started making our meals. They finally bring it out and all food was pretty good. Wait staff blamed it on a new solo cook. We can forgive that. We went back this evening, all 6 ordered, 3 got served meals, then wait staff says they are out of soup so other options will have to be chosen. He brings one menu for 3 people. They need better training on restaurant Management and work on proper timing so a table gets to eat together instead of half eating while half watch. 2 couples paid with cards, one paid with cash and no change was brought back. Never assume we wanted to leave a tip of that amount for this experience. Always give change back and you may get more or less for the experience.

We were coming in from a golf day & had to be to an 8:00pm show. We put our reservation in. A 39 minute wait. Sean was at the bar & helped us select a delicious sweet red wine. Loved it! Time was tight. Sean let us order our delicious seafood ravioli & meatballs. He then got us a table so we could enjoy our food so we weren’t late to our show. The food was delicious! The service was impeccable! Sean, you are amazing! Thank you! We highly recommend this restaurant & server/bartender!

Great service, even better food. Newbie here, visiting from NY. My waitress, Sabrina, recommended the trio and my lil flaming drink. That was cool and quite random. Food= Awesome sauce, I couldn’t finish it!!!!! She was attentive and always had a smile on here face. Thank you for making my time here memorable. 😇

We decided to come here after a long day of traveling, having fun, and running around. I read recent reviews (as I normally do), and completely do not understand why there are such negative ones. The food was incredible, service from Skip was absolutely outstanding, and our dinner was served within 20 minutes. The bread is some of the best I’ve ever had, and I loved the oil and vinegar dip. Mind you, we went on a busy Saturday during dinner time. We are a 3 person family and were seated right away. If you’re reading this review before you go, I’d take most of the other reviews with a grain of salt and try this place yourself. The pollo piccata was to die for, the cannelloni was incredible, and the brick oven pizza was loaded and so flavorful. Make sure to ask for Skip as your server. He was very attentive, accommodating, and even made my preteen laugh a few times. We WILL be back!

A new favorite for us! The food was amazing, top-notch service, reasonable prices. We will definitely stop here every time we visit Branson!

We had dinner at Florentina's Ristorante. Again the place was absolutely packed so I think we picked the right place again. I believe our waiters name was Habiero he was very kind and pleasant to order food.
Roger G — Google review
We decided to try Florentina's while on a roadtrip in Branson, and we are glad we did! We started with their complimentary bread and olive oil. The bread was amazing! Both crispy and fluffy. We got the fried ravioli appetizer that was stuffed with ground beef. It was very good! I had the chicken parmesan with pene and alfredo. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and tender. The sauces were both great. My husband got the spaghetti cucina and loved it as well! We also ended the meal with a lemon berry cake slice. Our server, Sheenakaye, was the best! She constantly checked on us and brought us refills of drinks and bread constantly. I would recommend to anyone in the area to try!!

Located in Historic Downtown Branson, the Farmhouse Restaurant is a charming eatery that offers a comforting dining experience. Whether you visit during the morning hours for an all-day breakfast or stop by for a home-cooked meal after exploring Old Town Branson, the Farmhouse Restaurant promises to satisfy your cravings with its made-from-scratch dishes.
This place is a gem. We came here on a Sunday night after a day of hiking and were starving and thirsty. Our waiter Peter immediately sat us down and got us mason jars with ice cold water. He refilled it as quick as we finished them. We ordered the pork chop and their fried chicken. Service was excellent and despite the kitchen sending out the wrong sides and white meat instead of dark meat, Peter immediately corrected that and got us the right order. Which was incredibly appreciated. The pork chop was grilled perfectly and the sides were fantastic. The fried chicken was incredible. The breading was thin and well seasoned while the meat was juicy. It was honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. At the end, Peter even ended up giving us a discount for the mistake and made the replacements on the house. The service here was exceptional and staff incredibly courteous. Highly recommend if you find yourself in Branson and need a place to eat. You won’t regret this place!

This place is NOW Walkers. They make walking tacos. They use the chip bag or whatever container you bring in to make your tacos in. They have a bid selection of ingredients. The have chicken and ground beef. Prices are VERY REASONABLE. Customer service is amazing. There is no place to sit down. You place your order and go outside to wait for your food. Lines can be very long. Again very good value and good food.

If you're in Branson you need to go to this place!! Their food is like what your grandma made. The biscuits are fluffy and melt in your mouth. We ate there twice while in Branson and both times the food was great! I highly recommend this place!
Lynnar1 — Google review
We actually ate here 2 times while in Branson, Missouri. We had dinner one day & breakfast another. Both meals were cooked to order. It did take a few minutes to get our food, but it was great both meals. There is a wait sometime but it's worth the wait.
Ginger P — Google review
We enjoyed our meal here. It’s not a large place do I’d say there can be a wait at times. Our server was good but a little sporadic. I had ham steak with baked potato and baked beans. Ham was a thick slice well grilled and tasty. Beans had some sugar to them snd were also tasty. My wife had eggs bacon snd small pancakes. Bacon wasn’t crispy enough for her taste but she liked the eggs and pancakes.
Greg J — Google review
If you like homestyle cooking with great portions, this is the place. Nothing here is 'outta the box' it tastes fresh and home made because it is. The service is friendly and the owner is very delightful. Though there may be a wait, it is well worth it.
Santos A — Google review
Well such a pleasant experience, had a 40 min wait which seemed more like a 25-30 min wait (shop, look around at other stores while you wait), small quaint restaurant, food was good, omelette was cooked perfect, pancakes 🥞 are omg thick, definitely could only eat 1, biscuits thick as well, don't let your eyes be bigger than your stomach. Waitress, Felicia, was wonderful. Recommend for a visit.
Classydiva J — Google review
Had a great lunchtime meal at the farmhouse today! We tried the BBQ pulled pork salad, coleslaw, cobbler for dessert, a chicken dish, plus drinks. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced also, coming to around $63 with tip which is very good value. Servers were also very polite and were quick on bringing our food. check this place out, it’s a lovely little restaurant :)

Restaurant
Located within the Branson Craft Mall, Pickin Porch Grill is a popular spot for those seeking a folksy atmosphere and delicious food. This joint offers a variety of BBQ plates, burgers, and sides alongside live music entertainment. The 16,000-sq.-ft. indoor mall also features arts and crafts from American craftsmen as well as other food stalls such as the Branson Coffee Co., where visitors can purchase hand-roasted coffee beans.
Stopped in to this Branson favorite for some good old local cuisine, we were not disappointed, started with the onion rings which were outstanding, had a cheeseburger which was above average and their classic Turkey, Avocado and Bacon which was fantastic, served on a nice fresh roll. This is an order at the counter place and the food is brought to your table by the efficient staff.
Enrique C — Google review
Large storefront with a restaurant in the back. Went during their live music night which was a great addition. Not a huge menu but all the food was good with self serve drinks. BBQ and steak tacos were great. A little bit of a different experience, reasonably priced and overall a good experience!
Zuruki — Google review
This restaurants is located inside and in the back of the shopping area. Nicely decorated with an occasional band and the staff were attentive and friendly. We had the pulled pork fries and I swear you could feed four people or more with those. We barely put a dent on them. Two of us had the fried catfish which was average. Not bad but nothing special. The tacos were decent for $12. You can’t see the meat under the lettuce lol but they were good for the price. Nice little place.
Theresa — Google review
Thought that we were going to a typical restaurant and ended up walking into a place that felt like Buccees. They had a bunch of crafts stalls and private label products like snacks and candy. The restaurant is located in the back and have live music on the Saturday that we were there. The hamburger was very good.
B K — Google review
What a small gem located within the Branson Craft Mall! The food was great, and well made. We ordered the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich and Catfish Po Boy which were awesome! You have to order at a counter, but then someone helps with drinks or other things once you sit down. Staff were friendly overall! They do charge a 10% gratuity on all orders that go directly back to the staff members.
TK — Google review
We stopped here to eat before going to Sight and Sound. It was a nice place that had our food out in no time. Our girls enjoyed walking around and looking at all the fun stuff they have for sale there.
Kara S — Google review
Located in the back of Branson Craft Mall, nice portions, great food. The pulled pork and catfish plates are the best! We always stop by when in town.
Misskriss T — Google review
The smoked pork tacos were good, with good flavors incorporated; no sides were included. I’m pondering why this is rated so highly. I suspect it’s because they can handle large groups (read: tour buses) efficiently. You stand in line, place your order at the counter, serve yourself a fountain drink, find a table, and they bring your food to you. It’s also a venue that is set up for live entertainment while you eat, although there wasn’t any while I was there. It was very clean and orderly; a nice setting for that type of experience. I guess was looking for something more “intimate,” with table service and excellent food that merits all the 5 star ratings.

Breakfast restaurant
Branson Cafe, the oldest restaurant in Branson established in 1910, is a beloved spot for locals and tourists alike. This family-run diner offers traditional homestyle meals at affordable prices. The cozy space with quirky decor adds to its charm. The menu features a variety of options including sandwiches, burgers, chicken, and meatloaf for breakfast, brunch, and lunch.
Another trip to see the daughter unit perform in Branson, another trip out to eat lunch. Mrs HB tracked down a very convenient place for us called the Branson Cafe. It was very good. First, the problems... the daughter's sausage patties were WAY over cooked and the amount of beef I got on the Open Faced Beef plate was a little lacking. But, that was it. Everything else was AMAZING! Our server was great! And just look at the Cinnamon Roll we brought home!!! And, I have to give them total credit for keeping a positive attitude with the entire street in front of their building totally destroyed right now. If you are in Branson, and you are looking for some great American food, find some parking and go to the Branson Cafe.

Cute little Cafe in downtown old branson with wonderful friendly serves with a smile 😊 Kathleen was our waitress and she was very prompt with keeping our drinks filled and always with a smile! They were very busy with brunch but we didn't have to wait on a table at all with a group of five. Our food came out fast and it was very delicious and fresh. We had a lot on our plate as well with all reasonably priced which we just loved that too☺️ my husband and I had veggie omelets with hadhbrowns. We didn't want a biscuits so we got a pancake instead with no additional cost. My grandson for a Ruben with okra and my other grandson got chicken with waffles. My daughter got homemade chicken salad sandwich with a delicious fresh coleslaw . We had enjoyed our meals and left full and happy!!!
You S — Google review
Went after recommendation from someone else, my husbands meatloaf was delicious! Chicken fried chicken was okay as was the chicken fried steak. My daughter loved her cheeseburger and fries. The gravy was lumpy but had flavor. Our rolls weren’t warm and were hard, no flavor from the one bite. So the cinnamon roll, looked amazing!!! The icing was delicious but the dough had almost no cinnamon rolled in! Needed warmed as well. Our waitress Kathleen was very helpful. Overall was okay but nothing I’m adding to my favorite places to eat.
Kara M — Google review
You’ll be treated like family! If you’re looking for the classic diner experience with high quality food, this is the place! You’ll feel like home and if you’re lucky you’ll get to meet one of the women who own and operate the place. Sandra’s probably in the kitchen. And get there early for Memaw’s famous homemade cinnamon rolls that are the size of a large plate! I ordered breakfast with biscuit, gravy, eggs, sausage, and hashbrowns. It did not disappoint! I love the place so much, I came back for lunch, the hand-pattied burger was delicious! Keep in mind, this is a dine-in diner, no takeout. My only other heads up is compromised wheelchair accessibility. It’s an old building and not easy to navigate with a wheelchair, especially the bathroom, which is toward the back of the kitchen. Please plan ahead if you or anybody in your party has a wheelchair. Besides the delicious family recipes, my favorite thing about the Branson Café is it’s female owned and operated, these ladies are carrying on a local tradition, a staple in downtown Branson. Check it out for yourself!

We visit Branson about every other weekend and have never eaten here at the Branson Cafe, so we tried it this morning. We walked in the door and there’s no one at the counter. We are seen by at least 5 waitresses, but not greeted, no we will be right with you, just stares. After several minutes, one came up and asked two, and seated us, that’s a win considering there was no long wait after being ignored. Placed our order, coffee was hot and good, omelets were great and no problems, came very quickly considering the morning crowd. This is a small restaurant and the noise level is a little high, but nice. I would at least have wait staff acknowledge customers as they come in, with we will be right with you. Prices are not horrible, but 8.49 for one egg? That’s a little much.

Hubby and I split a breakfast and it was plenty of food for us. Our waitress was very friendly and we loved the atmosphere. The biscuit was my favorite ❤️ too bad hubby had just started his no bread diet 😂
Jules L — Google review
The food was delicious. Large portions in an old style café. The waitress was so kind, helpful and sweet. She made the meal memorable and fun. Note the café is small and busy. We didn't have to wait but I used a walker and it was tight to get around. The day was super hot outside and the door opening so often along with a packed café made the temperature inside a bit on yhe warm side. The food and kindness made that minor inconvenience less burdensome. Parking is on the street but was not hard to find. My advice go. Enjoy.

Clockers Cafe is a beloved, time-tested eatery in historic Downtown Branson, known for its generous portions of traditional American comfort food at reasonable prices. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere makes it a favorite among locals and even draws in some of Branson's local celebrities. The menu boasts delicious home-cooked meals, with highlights such as the Country Fried Steak, Prime Rib Dip, and Biscuits and Sausage Gravy.
This place is great. Feels like your hometown family restaurant. Service was friendly and great. Food was all excellent. Great place to stop in and explore the area and shops.

First time back to Clockers in over a year, breakfast was ok, I ordered the omelet with ham, bacon and cheese, it was cooked good and had no complaints. Wife ordered the cinnamon roll French toast, it was a little under cooked and a little soggy but most of it had a good flavor. Coffee was hot and it was good as well. Service was a little slow, but most of the seats were full and we didn’t have a wait time, we were seated quickly, which is not always the case. We will be back for sure.
J T — Google review
It was just okay. We stopped at Clockers Cafe for breakfast on a Tuesday morning around 9 am. It wasn't too busy and we got a booth right away. Our server, Shawna was super nice and attentive. We ordered: - Coffees and waters - Giant Cinnamon Roll - Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise on the side and Home Fries - Omelet with Ham, Onion and Cheddar with English Muffin and side of Hash Browns The cinnamon roll came out first as we wanted. While it was tasty, it definitely was not huge. For cinnamon rolls, this was average to small in size. At $5.99 though, it was priced fairly. My omelet was nice. The English Muffin was saturated with butter or Whirl. My hashbrowns were a big disappointment. The top of them were extra crispy and crumbled when eaten (overcooked). The hashbrowns underneath looked okay but were floating in a bath of cooking oil (Whirl perhaps). My wife's Eggs Benedict was decent as was the sauce. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Her home fries were large chunks of fried potatoes. They didn't seemed seasoned at all and they were cut too large. We have half of our meals leftover and will be eating them at home tomorrow morning. I packed my hashbrowns on top of a napkin to absorb the grease/Whirl so those should fry up nice. For my wife's home fries, I'll season them when I reheat them. So I'm calling Clockers Cafe average for the food and excellent for the service.

My two sisters and I ate there recently, we ordered their special of the day half sandwich and cup of soup. Chicken salad tasted like it came out of a container and was served on slices of bread instead of the croissant as advertised, the bread was dry. The cup of soup was hamburger vegetable, arrived at our table, cold, and only maybe received about a half a cup of soup. The price was too high for what we received, the service was slow. when paying cash, The cashier did not return the change.

First time visiting and the food was OK. Standard cafe food, not great, not bad. I had the Country Fried Platter with the steak. Steak was overcooked but edible. My husband had the chef salad and he said it was OK. It's a little vintage looking with booths along each side of the walls and tables in the middle section. Service was decent and the waitress was friendly. Not sure it's a place I'd visit again but glad we tried it.

We were able to get seated pretty quickly for our party of 5, however, it took quite a bit of time before we were able to order. Our food took exceptionally long to come out and our waitress was not quite friendly. I will say, my sandwich was very good and the hash browns were hot and crispy. Would not return on a weekend.

Stopped for lunch. Does not look like this restaurant has changed in 50 years. We had a table quickly. Took a while to get our drinks. Friendly waitstaff. Placed our order and waited for 45 minutes before it arrived. Looked like they had plenty of kitchen help so suspect they forgot our order. Hamburger was good as was taco salad. Grilled cheese was small and a letdown. Salad was good. Big issue was our long wait. Don’t plan on a repeat visit.

Atmosphere nice. Food not impressed. Ordered 8oz steak & eggs breakfast. Steak came out about a 1/4 Inch thick 😔. Seen bacon that thick. 3oz of it was fat and gristle. Didnt want hash browns had 3 tomatoe slices instead, was charged and upcharge. So paid full price for meal, minus potatoes, and charged extra for 3 tomatoe slices. Hmm. The english muffin wasnt toasted, barely warmed. In the end your pay tourist $$ for not worth it good. Yep🤔

Nestled within the Branson IMAX Entertainment Complex, McFarlain's Family Restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its charming antique-filled ambiance. The restaurant is renowned for its delectable homemade cobblers and pies, including the exclusive Branson Traffic Jam Pie featuring a delightful blend of cherries, strawberries, rhubarb, and cranberries.
Lovely fantastic experience. Best roast beef and potatoes I've ever had. Kimberly was very sweet and provided exceptional service for us. The included honey cornbread is preferable to the rolls most places offer. My mom also got a free piece of pie for Mother's Day. Outstanding!

We ate here after seeing a musical show. Lunch was good. I had the rest beef. It was tender and not fatty. Didn’t have a whole lot of flavor. The creamed corn was very good. My wife had a club sandwich and fries was good. Table bread is cornbread.

Stopped in today for a beer and some appetizers. I can’t believe we haven’t stopped here before. It is a fun place with a neat atmosphere. They have cafe style seating, a bar and a patio. The patio is technically indoors however but still neat. We will be back!

The online menus are misleading. The prices shown must be years old. This place was very well advertised, but really pulled up short in its expectations! We could barely find the front door as it was well camouflaged. It’s very confusing as they are a movie theater, game arcade, shopping stalls and somewhere there was a restaurant in there. We entered at 3:00…. Not a lot of people there. The hostess finally seated us (she seemed like it was a burden) with menus. The waitress showed up and took our drink order. Came back with our drinks and asked if we were ready to order (less than a minute). We did ask for another minute. That’s the last time we saw her. She got a large group behind us. She took their drink order and then started taking their food order We had been there over 15 mins and only had water and menus Needless to say we got up and left Terrible service. Don’t go I won’t

Haven't been here for a couple years. They have expanded since the last time I was there. My lady and I shared a fried green tomato appetizer. 6 large slices, breaded and deep fried. They were delicious. We ended up bringing 4 slices home. The complimentary corn bread came out hot, and it was like home made. My lady had the chicken pot pie, and I had the deluxe club with house made potato chips. The chef here knows what he's doing. Portions are large, prices are reasonable, and staff is courteous and professional. All in all, I recommend McFarlains for a good meal in Branson. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere is it's in the IMAX mall, and the decor is early tourist kitsch.

Amazing Breakfast and Warm Atmosphere I had the pleasure of having breakfast at this charming restaurant, and it did not disappoint! The cinnamon rolls were absolutely amazing — warm, soft, and perfectly sweet with just the right amount of icing. Definitely some of the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was cozy and nostalgic, with old pictures lining the walls that gave the place a lot of character. What really stood out was the tribute wall to veterans — a heartfelt touch that showed real appreciation for those who have served. It added a meaningful and personal feel to the whole experience. Great food, friendly service - thank you Kari! and a warm, welcoming environment — I’ll definitely be back!

Looks to be newly remodeled. Service was good. Fairly quick for the type of food it is. Speaking of the food my friend got the pot roast and I got the meatloaf. Both were amazing. The creamed corn was authentic southern cream corn and was great! Potatoes seemed to be real potatoes as well not the powder or can stuff. Great experience!

The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks offers refined suites with balconies and fireplaces, providing a polished hotel experience. The Farm to Table aspect ensures that the menu features the freshest ingredients for a delightful dining experience. Situated on the college campus, students serve in various capacities, including as servers in Dobyns Dining Room and at the Front Desk, Bakery, and Nettie Maries Creamery.
I have a son who graduated from College of the Ozarks - Hard Work U. And it's not just a slogan. And now my future daughter in law is also graduating from their nursing program. I know this post is for the Keeter Center - but it's run by C of O students and your experience here will prove why this college is such a magnificent educational experience. Service and facilities are absolutely top notch here. We stayed in the Loft Suites and everything was immaculately maintained. Stunningly decorated in rustic style with exposed timbers, wild edge trim. I felt like I was staying at an expensive ski resort. Clean, highly maintained. Attention to detail. Worth every single penny. We splurged for the bed and breakfast stay. They brought a full service breakfast made to order in the morning. Staff are friendly, courteous, professional. These young men and women are not just pursuing an education. They are learning about life. The intangibles you can't teach in a classroom. Why? Because they work their way through their entire college experience. This includes the staff at the Keeter Center/Mabee Lodge. We were thrilled by our experience. And the staff are to be congratulated - particularly the faculty who are teaching our young people here. It's easy to find lots of negativity in the news stories of the day. Makes one doubt the future of our culture. If you visit C of O, and particularly this fine facility, you will have your faith in our future restored.

So many family vacation memories at the Restaurant. Every meal is absolutely amazing. Almost everything is “farm to table”. An all time favorite place to ear when we go to Branson. Dessert is a must!! (We have not stayed at the Lodge.)

We ate dinner. We have eaten here many times. The service is always excellent. The location is fine. On this particular evening, I, for the first time, ordered the Kansas Strip steak. I asked for medium well, and it was cooked properly. However, the quality of the steak was inferior, and should not have been served at this restaurant. Especially given the price, I should have had a much better quality steak. It was full of fat and gristle, and very difficult to cut. I was wasn’t even given a steak knife. I couldn’t even finish it. I have come to expect better things from the Keeter center. I don’t know if they’re getting the steak from their own herds or not, but they need to serve better quality beef. I’m sorry to have needed to post this negative review. Overall, I’m very happy at the Keeter Center, and I love the kids. Nonetheless, given the price, especially, I should have been served a much better quality steak.

Dinner was an absolute dream! If you ever find yourself in Branson, Missouri, I highly recommend a visit to Dobyns Dining at The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks. It's an experience you won't want to miss, where college students prepare and serve some of the most mouthwatering meals you could ever imagine. The farm-to-table concept offers fresh, flavorful dishes that delight the palate with a symphony of tastes, and the student service is both warm and personable, making it a truly unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is lively, and the setting features beautifully crafted woodwork, reminiscent of a grand lodge. It’s the perfect spot for a date night! Be sure to ask for London from Indiana! She was wonderful!

As new locals, this was our first visit after hearing great things from friends and reviews. We came in with high hopes! We started with the charcuterie board. Overall, it was good, the cheeses were nice, though not outstanding. There were a couple of grey pieces of meat we chose not to eat, but everything else on the board was delicious. Next came the bread. I’m gluten-free, and I have to say the rolls were some of the best gluten-free bread I’ve ever had! My husband loved his regular bread too. Big win there. For my meal, I ordered the gluten-free Ketter Club. At first, they accidentally brought out the non-gluten-free version, but thankfully they caught it before setting it down. When my gluten-free sandwich arrived, I immediately noticed the bun looked hard and unfortunately, it was more like a rock. Honestly, no one could’ve bitten into it. I told our waitress, and she kindly offered to have a new one made, but since we had already been there for over two hours, I just ate the turkey and cheese without the bun. My side of fruit was a bit disappointing too, with about a quarter of it being mushy. We did share the gluten-free carrot cake at the end, which was fantastic! My husband also really enjoyed his meal, so it wasn’t all bad. Service was friendly and attentive throughout, which we appreciated. All in all, for the price, I expected a bit better consistency, especially with the gluten-free items. We’ll likely give it another try before bringing out-of-town guests, but I hope management takes reviews like this to heart. There’s so much potential here, and a few tweaks could really elevate the experience.

Amazing experience staying in the Prime Minister Suite for a week. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, food was delicious and the service was top notch. The Sunday brunch was amazing and so were the other multiple meals we ate in the restaurant for lunch and/or dinner. The coffee/tea/drink station for the lodging guests was really great and included some delicious goodies to enjoy while reading on a comfy couch or playing a game with your loved one. Beautiful view of campus and the surrounding area out our back deck and a great location to any and all the Branson attractions. The turn down service every night with HUGE cookies and fresh milk was a perfect way to end a day. We just can't say enough good things about our experience staying and eating here at the Keeter Center. Hard Work U is achieving a really high standard in quality and service.

$45 for a steak. Had to send back as ordered med rare &was served well done. Two at our table ordered the salmon based on the server’s rec. Tasted fishy and husband was not feeling well after eating. And… there was no butter as they ran out, so dry rolls and no butter for potatoes. Such a shame as we support the students but there needs to be more supervision. Service was very good.

White River Fish House is a charming, lodge-style restaurant located along the shore of Lake Taneycomo and the famous White River in the Ozarks. Voted as one of the best seafood restaurants in Branson, it offers hearty country cooking with a focus on seafood dishes. The historic floating eatery provides stunning water views and is a popular spot for locals arriving by boat.
Went here with my grandma, it is her favorite and a very nostalgic restaurant for her. We enjoyed gator bites to start, which were very good along with the sauce that came with it. I got white fish with a creamy sauce with shrimp (do not remember the name but it was delicious!!!) The broccoli and mashed potatoes that I got as my sides were so good. The vines were so cozy and cabin like. It was warm and inviting. Our server was very kind and we even had a good conversation about our stay and events nearby.

The location of this restaurant (next to Bass Pro Shop and on a Barge) is really nice. It looks over the river and we even got to watch the zip liners go. The biscuits at the start were really good. The main food was decent. I got fish and it was ok. The cobbler at the end was fantastic though. For a nice view and a decent meal, this works.

Very appealing and pleasant atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Our server was Ariana. She did a great job. Very attentive. I got the fish and chips and my wife got the bacon wrapped shrimp. We like both. The broccoli was steamed just right and the rice was really good along with the bacon-wrapped shrimp.

Our group of 35 was traveling with Diamond Tours and one of our stops was the fish house. The atmosphere was amazing, the service was awesome the only downside is our food was either luke warm or on the cooler side. However everyone was still happy over all.

The White River Fish House was a fantastic dining experience. The rustic atmosphere with river views set the perfect backdrop for a great meal. Service was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The food was excellent. The salmon and mahi-mahi were both fresh, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. Easily better than what we’ve had at Top of the Rock Restaurant. What really stood out was the hospitality. The manager even came by to personally celebrate and feed the birthday guest — a memorable and fun touch that made the evening extra special. Highly recommend White River Fish House for both the food and the exceptional service.

Billy Bob's Dairy Land is a retro-style diner located on the Strip near Dolly Parton's Stampede in Branson. This casual dining spot offers a nostalgic atmosphere and serves up delicious burgers, crispy onion rings, and mouthwatering milkshakes. The restaurant also features dog-friendly outdoor tables, making it a great place to enjoy some classic American diner fare with your furry friend.
Billy Bob’s Dairy Land is such a fun place. It’s small but don’t let that fool you. The food is great (real ingredients) and service is spectacular! Another diner suggested requesting caramel for the sweet potato fries. They will do this if you ask and yum! Make sure you save room for those little pies they have. Sorry, we had it gone before we thought about the picture so you’ll have to trust me on that one. We will be making this a regular stop every time we’re in Branson. There are many pie flavors for us to try!

Great food tucked in the heart of the Branson Strip. Kid favorite: burgers, grilled cheese and shakes. All were great! You will pay Branson prices, but it is worth it. Cash or check only. ATM is in the back. 4 stars for atmosphere, the jukebox music was low and we were not greeted when we walked in. We had to ask if we could take the open table. The servers were lovely, but also mixed up who was meant to wait on us so we waited longer than others that came in after us. We were not in a hurry so it didnt bother us, but I could see how it would bother some. All in all it is a great little spot to get some American grub with good shakes.

What a delightful experience!! The owners were friendly and personable. The servers were so helpful and accommodating. The burgers were hand made, half pound beef. I'm so excited to have finally stopped here. We WILL be back.

Great little place with awesome food. The double cheeseburger we ordered was huge and the chili cheese dog was amazing! Service was great also! We left so full that we didn't have room for dessert unfortunately so I cant review that. I would highly advise anyone in the area to stop by!

Met some friends here and had my pup with me. We ordered and ate outside at some picnic tables located in front of the restaurant. Had a variety of choices, I had the single hamburger, we had the footlong corndog and the footlong chili cheese hotdog. Fries, onion rings and tots. A couple of shakes also. They brought our drinks, food, condiments and paper towels out to us. Even brought my pup a small cup of ice cream. NOTE: At no time was my pup inside the restaurant. So don't get upset at the restaurant. Service was fantastic, food was excellent and was happy they let my pup be outside with me.

Buyer beware! But this is a good thing- my hubby got a double cheeseburger without knowing a single is a half pound patty! He took one patty off to take home! Delicious! The fries were nothing special like the burger though. Also the name is misleading. If we had known a “dairy land” had such good burgers we would have come here years ago! The locals obviously know. The place was packed for being 1/2 hour before closing time and most of them knew each other. We will be back. :)

Burgers are massive and a true value for the price! You'll want to split a double between two people. Fries were perfectly crispy and the banana split was massive and delicious. Remember to bring your cash (no cards accepted), and you won't be disappointed!

My husband and I stopped here for lunch while shopping at Branson Landing. We were seated immediately; and the service was friendly and attentive. I had the cheeseburger and it was cooked perfectly and was definitely one of the better burgers that I have had. My husband had the reuben sandwich and was definitely pleased. The atmosphere and decor was very nice with the exception of the big rip in my booth seat. Not a big deal, but if you don't keep up with repairs, it will start to become obvious. I always try to check restrooms and this one was spotless and in good repair. I would definitely recommend this establishment if visiting Branson Landing.

While looking for a place to eat while we were in Branson, we found Black Oak Grill. It was around 2:30 when we walked into the place, so the lunch rush was over by the time we arrived, and there were only a few parties seated at their tables. We had no wait for our seating. The waitress we had was very pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice and well decorated. The menu had a decent variety of things to get ranging from burgers, steak, sandwiches, fish, etc. The food didn't take too long to be brought out. The presentation was impressive, and the food smelled really good. My girlfriend got the Rosemary Grilled Chicken while I got the Chicken Fried Chicken with white gravy. Both were served with seasonable vegetables and mashed potatoes. The food was superb! We both shared a piece of our meal to try, and the Rosemary Grilled Chicken was so flavorful, well seasoned, and juicy. My girlfriend said it was some of the best grilled chicken she had ever had, and I can say I would tend to agree with her it was so amazing. The Chicken Fried Chicken was also very good. It was well cooked, tender, and juicy, and the breading was very crispy. The mashed potatoes with white gravy were very light and fluffy, and the flavor was on point. The vegetables were perfectly seasoned and very juicy as well. Overall, our experience there was great! Totally recommend giving it a try.

There are no vegetarian items listen on the menu though a couple are. You can order sides only if you ask. Did listen and write down food allergy issues, and the server was attentive to the concerns when making the order. Food was just dropped off and left without a word or even a look. Service was OK, and the server was friendly, but did not check on the table often, and it was hard to get the bill to leave and order a dessert to go. Thankfully, i did not have issues with food after they dropped it off. My friend was happy with her salmon and carrot cake. I had 6 items to choose from, 4 of which were not on the menu. The space is beautiful and in a great location.

Decided to stop in for lunch while walking the boardwalk. We were seated quickly, and our waiter was excellent with serving us from the time we sat down to the time we left. The prices are very reasonable, and the portion sizes is great. I ordered a ceaser salad and the BBQ mac and cheese, delicious 😋. I'll definitely visit again if I need some quick lunch.

Very nice place. I had grilled meatloaf. It was an individual loaf that really had been grilled. It came with a tasty marinara sauce on top. The broccoli had no seasoning or butter, but I guess that’s understandable. It was cooked right. Interior is nice and service was good.

Our family group was there for lunch and all were satisfied with their meal - mainly burgers and fries that were prepared well. I have traveled the 50 states for work for the past 10 years… NO establishment caters to their FOOD as Saltgrass. So many places have ratings and make claims… NOT A CHANCE… I’m moving to Missouri just to be closer to this restaurant lol 🤣 Branson is magical and the atmosphere in Saltgrass capitalizes off that effect. By being right on the rivers edge you can feel the breeze, glimpse the fountain, witness people partaking in water activities, and ultimately feel like family. Even each veggie dish is specialized and it’s obvious to taste that Saltgrass Steakhouse is legendary.

This was our visit and unfortunately it will be our last. We walked in and were seated right away, because there was only about 6-7 other tables at 10:30 in the morning on a Tuesday. We were greeted and were able to make our order it within 5 minutes of being seated and then 25 minutes of waiting and not seeing our waitress again, (other than her visiting with what appeared to be regulars, because she knew them by name) she happened by and said oh let me get you more drinks, so I said can you get an update on our food? So she yelled across to the kitchen and they said the order has been up, so she went and got it and brought it to us. I had a cheeseburger that tasted like it had been frozen and then cooked to death. My husband had the chili and it was good, he also had chopped steak and his burger under the gravy was the same. I always try to find a positive in everything so I want to say the place including restrooms were clean and there were some neat items to shop among.

We stopped in for lunch on our way out of town. The service was good and we were well taken care of. I had the turkey and "dressing" but the dressing was actually more like Stove Top stuffing. The carrots and mashed potatoes were good. My daughter enjoyed the mac and cheese. I may go back given the chance.

Pretty good, nothing crazy. We just ordered salads after making some less than healthy choices for lunch. Our waitress was very friendly and there was a good variety of food on the menu.

Amazing food and amazing service. Portion size was definitely enough to be full and satisfied.

Party of 5 for breakfast, food was wonderful, we had omelets and pancakes. All the food was very good, tons of choices, came out fast and hot. Arlene kept our drinks full and brought everything we needed. She was awesome! Will definitely visit again. Cute gift shop, too.

My wife and I ate dinner here with my wife's sister and her family. I had the Basic Breakfast Plate. My wife had biscuits and gravy, two sausage patties, and one pancake. My food was very good, but my wife's sausage patties were overcooked. Her pancake was very good.

The restaurant had a classic, rustic atmosphere similar to Cracker Barrel. The food was delicious and served promptly, and the staff were attentive throughout our visit. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience that I would recommend to others.

LongHorn Steakhouse is a delightful casual dining experience that captures the essence of American cuisine in a charming ranch-style setting. Renowned for its expertly grilled steaks, this steakhouse offers an array of mouthwatering options, including the iconic Bone-In Outlaw Ribeye and the tender Flos Filet. Beyond steak, diners can indulge in dishes like Parmesan Crusted Chicken and hand-cut LongHorn Salmon, ensuring there's something for everyone.
Well, we decided to settle for a restaurant that we're familiar with, a restaurant in our home town. I love longhorn. They always have the quality. They're always professional. At least when my wife and I have gone there and I enjoyed the experience. The waitress was very kind and the food was good. Not bad at all but I'll still be on the lookout for any other steakhouses that Branson has the offer. But this was still a good dinner to have. I was absolutely full after I finish my plate my wife enjoyed her plate is well. We were so full we didn't opt for any dessert.

If I could give this an honest rating, I would rate it a ZERO. I did a mobile order & ordered a salad with medium rare steak & Mac and Cheese for the side. The Mac and cheese was super greasy and gritty. By the time it got to me, it was very cold. Not warm one bit. Mac and Cheese was horrible! The streak was well done, no pink in the middle at all & there was only about 4-5 small pieces of steak not to mention. I had already put ranch on it, but got a picture of a side that wasn’t touched. I am highly disappointed coming from a 4 star restaurant. Usually everytime it’s very good, but not this time! I usually recommend Longhorn for a nice place to eat to tourists that visit my work, but will definitely not be mentioning it anymore. I paid $15 for a VERY SMALL side salad that was suppose to be a “meal”. My co-worker got the same salad and hers was bigger!

8/9/2025 2:45pm On vacation we had a group dinner here. Charlie was amazing getting us seats and making sure we're comfortable. We had two servers our table had Denise. She was great handling the table and split tickets. The guy looks like the manager seem to have a issue with me checking the section seeing if we had enough space before my huge party sat. Our other half had a different server who was not pleasant. Seemed like she had a issue doing her job. Overall the food and drinks were great. Thank you again to Charlie (Hostess) and Denise (Server).

They were quite busy when we arrived for dinner but we're able to be seated right away. The server was friendly and very knowledgeable about the food that was offered. We didn't wait long at all for the drinks and salads to be served. Then of course, there main dish was served in a timely manner and prepared as ordered. And if that wasn't enough, our desert was packed well for take home and looked as though it hadn't left the restaurant.

Great tasting food and service! Texas margaritas are soooo good! Our bartender and server Chris, did an amazing job even short handed. If you want a table right away don’t linger, get there early and enjoy 👍🏼

We celebrated my mom’s 80th birthday by having a delicious dinner! LongHorn, you did not disappoint 🥩🦞 She was so delighted with her dinner. You need to know that she said she had never had Lobster Tail so good in her life 😅 that’s a huge compliment guys!! Great job 👏🏽

Me and my wife ordered the ribeye loaded bake potato and tossed salad. The ribeye was cooked perfect. But the taste wasn’t there. The last few times we have gone. It was over seasoned for my taste. I really liked the steaks there but the last time’s it was over seasoned. The wife said the potatoes were good and salad was great because of the ranch dressing.

The 8oz sirloin I got was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend stopping by. Great food, good prices, and an amazing atmosphere.
