Caverns & Caves
Fantastic Caverns in Springfield, North America's only ride-through cave, offers guided tours on custom open-air trams pulled by Jeeps. The expert guides share fascinating stories about the cave's history and geology, making the experience both educational and visually stunning. Visitors can marvel at ancient formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, soda straws, columns, cave pearls, flowstones, and draperies.
Had a wonderful tour guide. I've always wanted to go inside a cave like this. Due to my decreased mobility, riding in on the trailer, even though I had to bend over and duck at points, made it possible!! Wonderful even temperature and excellent lighting. Enjoyed the history and learning some science on the way.
Daughterofthe K — Google review
To see stalegtight and stalagmites in person is impressive. To see formations that have taken millions of years in person was amazing. Very informative little tour and the guide was humorous. Though we loved the tour and information it is on the pricey side. Truly expected the tour to be more In length. In actually its a tour that stops often to listen to the guide. I'd advise to research prices and compare that to your fascination of underground formations
J D — Google review
Fantastic Caverns is an absolute gem and one of the most unique cave experiences you can have. What really sets it apart is the fully ride-through tour—being able to sit back in the tram while traveling through the cavern makes the experience comfortable, accessible, and perfect for all ages. The caverns themselves are breathtaking. The rock formations are beautifully illuminated, and the guide does a great job sharing the history of the cave, how it was discovered, and the incredible natural processes that shaped it. The tour strikes a great balance between educational and entertaining, and nothing ever feels rushed. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the caverns, which adds so much to the experience. It’s a peaceful, fascinating journey underground that leaves you with a deeper appreciation for nature’s artistry. If you’re in the area, Fantastic Caverns is absolutely worth the visit—beautiful, easy to enjoy, and truly one of a kind.
Sudip J — Google review
Fantastic Caverns offers a unique and memorable experience with its fully guided, ride-through cave tour. You’ll hop aboard a large tram that takes you deep into the cave, with stops along the way to learn about the stunning rock formations and fascinating history of the caverns. It’s a relaxing and informative adventure—no walking required in the cave. There is also really nice gift shop filled with great souvenirs to remember your visit.
SR — Google review
Fantastic Caverns experience is well worth your time. The grounds before getting to the visitor's center are so well kept and beautiful. ( Deer were grazing, when we went.) There is a place outside with the story/ history of the caverns before you go in the visitor's center. The visitor's center and gift store are very nice. In the center there are comfortable chairs to wait for your tour. The jeep trams are roomie and not too crowded. They will allow pictures throughout. You are also allow to bring food ( popcorn from the gift shop) and a drink. The tour takes about 1 hour and is very educational and fun.
C G — Google review
Amazing cave, the drive through tour is really nice. It is perfect for seniors who could not otherwise make a more strenuous walk through a cave system. The cave has beautiful formations and great lighting. Thr tour guides were friendly and informative as well. Overall and outstanding diversion.
Scott P — Google review
A great place to learn about caves, how they form and a little local history. Because you ride in a wagon pulled by a Jeep this tour is great for those who might not be able to walk far or stay with a group. I thought it was a little expensive relative to the time length of the tour but then it was so nice to ride and just look and listen to the guide.
Denise C — Google review
This is a very interesting cavern. The only downside is they pull you in a wagon with benches that have everyone’s backs always turned away from half the formations. It hurts one’s neck and back to always have to twist around to look behind, especially when the tour guide is highlighting a formation behind you. If the Caverns would use wagons with forward facing benches, people could look left and right without getting neck cricks or back aches. Also there are points in the cavern where you really have to bend low to keep from hitting your head on the formation. There isn’t as much color and beauty as Texas’s Longhorn Caverns, but we still enjoyed the visit.

The Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium features an aquarium with huge tanks full of fish. The aquarium has different environments like the ocean and a river, as well as 4D wildlife dioramas.
We headed north to Springfield, MO and spent four hours exploring the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium and the iconic Bass Pro Shops. If you plan to go — bring comfortable shoes, a light jacket (if you’re cold-natured), and plenty of free time. It’s the largest and most immersive fish and wildlife attraction in the world, and it truly lives up to the hype. Johnny Morris doesn’t hold back when he brings his visions to life. Every gallery tells a story — from record-setting game animals to the incredible history behind the wonders of wildlife. Every detail is perfectly placed and thoughtfully designed.

This was the most wonderful experience. My son and I decided to go on a Monday to avoid crowds, and the flow was perfect. There were a lot of people there but it wasn’t congested or crowded. The Christmas lights were beautiful, the facility was extremely clean and we were so impressed with how healthy the fish and other wildlife appeared. Their habitats were very clean and you can tell they are all well cared for. We also were able to pet and feed the stingrays and we enjoyed this so much that we visited the stingray pool twice. Staff were approachable, friendly, and knowledgeable. Loved the museums, they were also clean and well maintained. We had a late lunch at Hemingway’s-food was excellent and the staff were great. The ambience was so cozy-there is a large fireplace with couches available and the aquarium in the bar area is very relaxing to look at. We have visited many aquariums across the US and this was in the top 3 for us. We will definitely visit again!
Elaine W — Google review
The Museum and aquarium are both spectacular. I heard great things but all my expectations were far exceeded. The aquarium especially is just gorgeous. The variety and cleanliness of each exhibit is amazing and the staff is very friendly. If you get a chance to do any of the experiences there, the guides are super kind and knowledgeable. I was there a couple weeks ago and honestly want to fly back just to go visit again. I can’t recommend it enough!
Etgan — Google review
This aquarium and wildlife conservatory was amazing! It was worth the price of admission! It took about 1.5-2 hours to go through the whole thing. And we went quicker than others. I took over 100 pictures in it. We did not have kids with us and it was great to do as adults too!
Kim H — Google review
I love coming to the aquarium and especially bringing our grand littles! I love watching their face light up s they watch in awe of all the sea creatures! The jelly fish and petting the stingrays are my absolute favorite!!! Highly recommend visiting. I always plan on returning because it never gets old! 🤌💯✨️🫶

We absolutely LOVED visiting Wonders of Wildlife. The entire aquarium was decked out in holiday lights, projections, and music. So much fun! Jellyfish, sharks, crocs, monkeys, beavers... they have it all! It's also MUCH bigger than it looks, so make sure to give yourself plenty of time to enjoy with your family.
Alexandrea G — Google review
Loved the Acquarium. Everything is so clean, people are friendly and nice. Im' 47 and was feeling like a 5 years old while visiting. Beautiful place. Make sure you have at least 4 hours to enjoy the whole place.
Leslie R — Google review
We’d read reviews on the WOW National Museum and Aquarium and that’s why we drove up from Branson to visit. I expected a good experience, but it definitely exceeded my expectations for quality. The whole experience is extremely well done - the cleanliness is impeccable, the staff were professional and friendly, the live animal and marine life displays and tanks were breathtaking and well thought out, and the non-live displays were fantastic. There is a full size diorama of a fishing yacht on the rolling seas with two guys deep sea fishing - it was breathtaking and incredibly executed on the mezzanine level. Quite something to see! (See my pictures). There’s a section dedicated to American Presidents and their love of fishing that was interesting and informative. The experience is laid out in themed sections, such as The Swamp, The Amazon, Jellies, Sharks etc. and the experience kept going. We liked the section where you can interact with the stingrays, the beaver saying hello, and the alligators. Like everything to do there’s a cost, but it was honestly great value for money and topped any aquarium I’ve visited before. Allow plenty of time - my teens moved quicker, but even at their speed it took 2 1/2 hours or so. It’s definitely an ‘all morning’ or ‘all afternoon’ thing to do, and there’s no shortage of things to see and appreciate. You definitely leave having a deep appreciation of our natural world, and learning tons of new facts about many species of creation. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area!

Zoos & Aquariums
Park
Dickerson Park Zoo, located just a short drive from downtown Springfield, covers 55 acres of land and is home to over 500 animals from around the world. Visitors can marvel at exotic animal exhibits, enjoy a petting zoo, and even take train rides. The zoo offers elevated walkways for up-close encounters with animals like tigers, elephants, giraffes, kangaroos, emus, and lions. Additionally, there are opportunities for animal encounters that can be reserved in advance.
Our family moved to Springfield and have enjoyed coming to Dickerson Park Zoo! The animals are great to see and it was definitely an interesting experience to have peacocks roaming around the zoo! The biggest issue is the bridge being out by the bears, which makes you backtrack through the Asia area to view everything instead of circling around. However, it does look like it's currently being replaced, so excited to see repair work being done!
Eric W — Google review
It was too hot for the poor Animals to be outside and to say hi! We saw a few and enjoyed that. Loved the fact that they had restrooms through out the park and food and drink! Loved the gift shop! Big fan of the penny press souvenir machines so I managed to grab a couple. Staff was good. Well maintained area! Fun for the whole family. Bought the tickets online.
Lori P — Google review
What a wonderful little zoo. My wife and I found this place as we were waiting for our commercial truck to be repaired. We went on Wends 9-10-25, and it felt like we had the whole zoo to ourselves. Took about 3 hours to walk the whole park, and we maybe saw 2 other groups of people. While people weren’t seen as much, the animals were all out for viewing. Minus the bear enclosure that was being reworked, every exhibit was open/looked well maintained. Would highly recommend and at only $19 won’t break the bank. Walked in with drinks and food, no one seemed to care. So can probably save some money packing drinks/snacks.
Smitty S — Google review
Awesome zoo! Not quite comparable to St Louis or Memphis, a lot of exhibits were closed with a note that the animals were being treated by the veterinarian. However, the animals that we did see were AWESOME. We loved the peacocks, we got to see an elephant eat, fed goats, fed giraffes, and checked out a ton of reptiles. For a small town, we loved it.
Haley P — Google review
This little Zoo had a surprisingly large variety of animals to view and interact with. The layout is easily navigated. Different paths to see all the facility or partial, with food, snacks, and restrooms strategically placed throughout. Plenty of rest benches and shade as well! Low entry cost is a bonus!
Brian W — Google review
This was such a cute zoo! Me and my family had a blast! Easy to get around but could have a bit better signs since there was some construction going on.
Cortaro L — Google review
Impromptu visit to the zoo on a gloomy Friday morning. The entry fee was reasonable and the park was much larger than I had expected. Even with the arrow signs and colored paw prints i got lost lol The grounds are well maintained with loads of surrounding shrubbery contrasting the black fences. Lots of restrooms placed around the park; which I appreciate the ease to go wash my hands. TBH was hoping not too many kiddos would be screaming throughout the park but idk what I was thinking. If there were 21+ only days (or few hours) at the zoo honestly would be more enjoyable (I have auditory sensory struggles; kids randomly 'screaming' or 'shouting' highten my flight or fight and end up in panic attack mode. really makes it hard to enjoy family friendly places 😪) Did not check out the cafe or the gift shop. I did not try the train. Parking was easy, although, I had arrived 30min after opening. I really enjoyed the lemur, vultures, zebras, blue macaw, and petting the goats. The area to feed giraffes was a decent size but can fill up fast with strollers and wagons. If you plan on feeding the goats take a few dollar bills incase the kiosk is closed. Overall I really enjoyed my trip but amenities are catered for family visits i.e. playground by the cafe, stroller rental although they allow outside strollers, splash pad for kids. the gazebo by the waterfall on the way to the flamingos was the most peaceful spot. i had my ear plugs in but was able to take the out for a bit as i found more monkeys and how to enter the flamingo viewing box.
Crystal B — Google review
This place was nice except you have to backtrack where you walked to go to other side to back track where you walked. But they have a TRAIN!!! Also alot of places to take photos!

With over 200 hands-on exhibits covering topics from DNA to dinosaurs, the center aims to spark curiosity about scientific concepts such as physics, anatomy, and the environment. Itty Bitty City within the center provides a miniature city for younger children to engage in make-believe play. The museum also features a Build a Minecraft Adventure Exhibit that appeals to both kids and adults.
We live in Branson , but visit almost once a week. My kids and I love this place so much ! My boys are 4 and 2, this place is fun for every age. Each floor is something new and educational. Every time we go we find something new ! Definitely buy a membership it’s the best deal!! I’m also a nurse and love looking at the different exhibits myself. Our favorites are the dino area , and minecraft block room. Yes this place gets packed - parties and field trips. However, we still have a blast and don’t mind the crowd. If you get a membership you don’t worry too much about a shorter visit if it’s too crowded for your liking. This is our favorite place in Springfield and what’s pushing us to move here !
Trinity N — Google review
Really disappointed as I have a lot of great memories here from when I was a kid. Everything is either broken, missing a lot of pieces, or a relic from the 90s. Only giving it a second star because the dinosaurs animatronics were neat but I suspect they will be out of order in no time.
Caleb T — Google review
This place is amazing and recommend it to anyone, with or without kids. The prices are great and if you get a family membership it’s even better. With a membership you and your family get in free all year, but there are also other centers around the country you can go to free as well. There are fun learning experiences for people of all ages, as well as special events all throughout out the year. We go several times a year and my son never gets bored of it (even now as a teenager!)

Visiting from out of town and looking to feel some time both my kids 15 and 8 had a lot of fun going all around the building so much to do and see and play here great place to spend some down time or looking for something fun for the kids
Kenneth J — Google review
A pretty good price with a lot of things to do. It was a fun family friendly experience that we all enjoyed. Would recommend!!!!
Stella V — Google review
Had a good experience here with the dinosaurs and all the gadgets of the kids had fun playing with. Unfortunately, I had to leave early due to a very sleepy baby but I saw a miniature golf on the second floor and the third floor had tons of stuff for toddlers I'll definitely be going back. Furthermore, it was cheap and definitely worth the price.
Cawey R — Google review
The staff was very friendly. It seemed to be a kids free for all but the exhibits were very informative and 100% awesome! As a homeschool family we really loved it. It was educational and a bunch of fun! They had stuff for kids of all ages but I would say most educational activities were for 6+ age range.

With over 60 well-preserved classic and sports cars from both America and Europe on display, the museum offers a nostalgic journey through automotive history. The private collection includes iconic vehicles such as the 1936 Horsch, 1948 Packard Convertible, and 1933 Auburn 12.
Really enjoyed the visit to the museum. Nice collection of cars across many decades. Had a nice visit with Mr Guy Mace, owner of the museum, who gave us the details of several of the cars and their history. Reasonable admission price to enjoy such a nice car collection.

Incredible collection of antique and historic cars. Each vehicle is annotated with information. Vehicles are incredible… so hard not to touch! The museum is for sale for those with a dozen or so millions in the bank to spare.

Stopped in the Route 66 Car Museum while visiting Springfield and spent a little over an hour checking out the unique cars and trucks. I was impressed with the variety of cars and how well the cars were kept in top condition. The museum even has a gift shop that sells second hand flea market stuff that has nothing to do cars.

Me and my two daughter just went here it was so very cool to see all these different cars old cars and movie cars the really loved the Batman, ghost buster and DeLorean. If your not a car person like us it was still just great to look and admire all the vehicles all the staff we talked with was very nice and had no issues

Pythian Castle, located in Springfield, Missouri, is a historic fortress built in 1913 by the Knights of Pythias. Originally intended to serve as an orphanage and retirement home, it now offers history tours, ghost tours, murder mysteries, and events. This gothic-style castle stands on 0.9 acres of land and holds a significant place in Missouri's history. The castle has been featured on various shows due to reports of paranormal activity within its ancient walls.
Beautiful grounds and fun experience. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and polite the entire tour. It is a very big castle and lots of stairs, so definitely be prepared for that. Our tour guide was able to answer all our questions and took his time explaining everything to us. He even offered to take a picture of our family out front.

We went on the Ghost Tour 👻 and had a good time. The ladies who led the tour had a lot of interesting stories, recordings and photos to share. Fun experience and interesting castle. We recommend taking the tour.
Madison M — Google review
Took my wife for her bday and we had a blast! The castle was beautiful, and the staff was entertaining. If I could offer one piece of advice it would be to lean into your theme of ww2 on every aspect and ditch the non related decor. We did the ghost tour and highly recommend. The place was busy the Saturday we went.
Travis G — Google review
Online you can book a ghost or history tour with a minimum of 4 people for the history tour. We booked the 2pm tour and it took about an hour to walk through and here the history. It was a lot of fun for us and the kids highly recommend.
Ashley D — Google review
Had the pleasure of getting the opportunity to go on their ghost tour. The guide was fantastic! He was full of charisma, very knowledgeable about the history and encompassed both the history of the castle from all aspects of natural and supernatural. His beliefs are magnetic and he truly pulls you into a world in which anything is possible. I had a wonderful time and highly recommend anyone who loves history or has a fascination with the idea that there is something after death go. I honestly feel more connected to those who came before us after this and I find that comforting.

Definitely go at night. Some parts of the tour are not for the claustrophobic and not wheelchair accessible. Great place to take children and learn the history of the mansion.

Beautiful place to go hang out in nature and go for a lovely walk. They have trails surrounding the nature center plus the visitor center has lots of things to see and explore inside as well. Seems to be a great place to take kids on a field trip as we saw a lot of that while we were there. ~RoadLifeAdventure

A jewel in the Ozarks. Heartily recommend. Knowledgeable staff with expertise on biodiversity, photography, and refuge management. Visit often and tread lightly to preserve this sacred place. We need more wildlife refuges like this one.

The Springfield Art Museum is the city's oldest cultural institution, showcasing a diverse range of American and global artworks with free admission. With over 10,000 pieces in its collection, the museum offers a journey through different cultures and artistic styles, including painting, textiles, pottery, and decorative arts from Asia to America. Established in the 1920s by a group of art enthusiasts, it has since grown to become a significant hub for art appreciation in Springfield.
Me and a friend went here on a whim on Wednesday, it was pretty fun! a good few art styles/mediums, included a few things about some of the artists, great lighting. also included some things for the general public to contribute to with both a binder full of blank paper to write/doodle a little something in, and a whole room with big wood canvases and free colored pencils to use on the canvas and draw something on the boards! overall very nice, staff super friendly and helpful!

I loved visiting the Springfield Art Museum! The museum has free admission, which is great for a family friendly adventure. They have a good variety of different styles of art. I really loved the Bradi Barth exhibition they had on display when I visited. They have many modern/contemporary artists featured as well. The courtyard is a nice place to relax. The staff here is great. I highly recommend if you're in the area.

Great visit with my granddaughters this week at the museum. No fee, great collections. We really enjoyed the watercolor exhibit. We were even able to vote for our favorites! They encourage you to sit and create for yourself or just take it all in. There was a room that the kids could add their own drawing to the wall as well. Fun. Interesting. Clean. Welcoming.
Heather W — Google review
Had a wonderful visit and enjoyed much of the artwork. Could not share it all here, but I hope the pictures inspire you to visit. We spent a couple of hours just taking in all the art pieces, and they allow you to photograph without flash photography in the gallery. Have fun!

It’s absolutely free which was surprising. The amount of art inside is incredible. Great atmosphere and you can spend at least an hour or two admiring the works of greats. You must leave your back packs at the front desk, they will tell you. You can’t bring any weapons inside too, there is a picture telling you on the outside

Unfortunately by the time we got to this museum (visiting from out of town) it was half an hour before it closed. But we still spent a pleasant and fairly peaceful 30 minutes surveying the museum and its exhibits, both the permanent collection and a neat exhibit on watercolors. There is a really nice area for kids that allows them to play and explore with art-related materials. It's not a large museum but it appears to be well cared for.
Frecky L — Google review
We were super surprised by the great time we had at this little museum. We've been to many of the great art museums of the world, but this gem we found to be charming. Not stuffy or dark. Nice variety in the exhibits. Interesting modern and temporary works displayed. We spent two hours here.
Gary K — Google review
The Springfield Art Museum is such a cool museum. First off, unlike some other museum's, it's free to get inside and look around at the exhibits. They change up their exhibits often, and so even if you make it here multiple times a year, you'll always catch a variety of displays and impressive, intriguing artwork. They have a kids area, as well as a book nook, which are always free to go hangout in. They also offer art classes, sometimes free and sometimes for pay, with what seems very reasonably priced. Ever since Covid times, I began to notice that they have free project bags that you can swing by and pick up, and take home for the kids to do. They are still doing that - which is very amazing and awesome that they offer such a thing! Also, they host various events throughout the year, such as Celebrate Springfield, which is a free event, where kids can do all kinds of cool crafts and activities for free, and there are vendors, and food trucks. This is a great fixture in Springfield and such a great resource to utilize. Highly recommend!

Bass Pro Shops is a large sporting goods store with a wide array of hunting, fishing, and outdoor gear. The Springfield store is the largest in the United States.
This is the original Bass Pro Shops, right here in Springfield, MO. It is over 500,000 square feet, offering a plethora of sporting equipment, museums, endless taxidermy, dozens of fish tanks, and more. Great place to take the kids! Fascinating museums, very well done construction. Highly recommend stopping if you’re anywhere nearby.

What a fabulous place to visit! So much to marvel at! There are several free museums or other if you want you can pay to enter the Wild Life museum. You can certainly spend a few hours walking around and looking at everything! Remember to look up!

We had an amazing time. We went through all the exhibits, it took all afternoon and was well worth it. I would suggest if you have any health issues be aware there is lots of walking, they do offer scooters. This was the 4th Bass Pro property we have gone to and each one is different and wonderful. We love the exhibits and museums, they are Outstanding! We are not fishermen or hunters but we love Bass Pro.

Throughout my adult life, I’ve visited Bass Pro Shops in Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Omaha, and several other locations across the country. However, I had never made it to the flagship store — until now. I have to say, I was absolutely in awe. This location feels more like a Bass Pro mall than a store, offering an experience unlike any other. If you’re a Cabela’s or Bass Pro enthusiast, this destination deserves a top spot on your bucket list. It’s truly a must-see for any outdoor lover! My only critique is for the fishing department manager. I tried to purchase a Shimano Nasci 1000, but it wasn’t available even though one was on display. I would recommend removing or clearly marking items as out of stock until replacements arrive to avoid confusion.
J R — Google review
There is SOOOO much to see, not just shop. The fish tanks, alligator, taxidermy are really good. The layout is huge but nicely done with an area for each department. Nice decorations for Christmas. The bad thing, the timeshare area IN FRONT of the bathrooms to tell ya about the Bass Pro owned resort. They are relentless, annoying, pushy, & stalk you.
Kristina L — Google review
We stopped in while in Springfield as a family member of mine had bought a boat here 30 years ago so we wanted to check it out. This location is huge!!! I thought the Clarksville, IN store was big, but this one was MUCH bigger with so much more to see. This one has so many fish tanks in the Bass Pro store, along with an archery and National Rifle Association museum inside thats FREE to look around. So many rifles from hundreds of years ago to look at. We spent over 2 hours wandering around inside, 100% recommend visiting!
Alex B — Google review
What a cool experience. I am from Michigan, and most of our bass pros are on the smaller side, but this place is huge. I really enjoyed the fun museum and I could have spent hours there without shopping. If you are anywhere near this location, I recommend you stop in.

Worth the stop—even if you’re not an outdoorsy type.” This location is huge and packed with everything from boats to boots. The staff were friendly, and the layout made it easy to explore without feeling overwhelmed. Loved the museum and aquarium touches—they add a lot of character. This local gem showcases an impressive array of both permanent and temporary exhibitions that delve into significant events throughout American history. With six engaging galleries, visitors can explore everything from the first documented Wild West shootout to Springfield's pivotal role during the Civil War.
My bf and I got a free pass from the Library (as long as you have a Springfield Library card you can get a free pass for a week) and it was totally worth it. Very interesting seeing the history of Springfield and the surrounding area. Also they had a route 66 exhibit that was really cool. I definitely recommend it!

We think the History Museum on the Square is a very well done collection of Springfield, Wild West and Route 66 history. Nice stadium. Good atmosphere & great seats! It's definitely a great time at the ballpark!

This was an experience of a lifetime for my 9 year old grandson! He plays shortstop on his traveling team and had never been to a real ball game. We had excellent front row seats to take it all in. Great close parking, every staff member I interacted with was extremely helpful, friendly and pleasant! He got a custom jersey at the team store, some food at the concession that was very reasonable for a ballpark. A host asked if he wanted to sign up for a contest after the 7th inning and we did and he had fun with that. He ended up with 2 game balls, win a bobble head at the spin-a-wheel and to top his already wonderful day JJ the Cardinals shortstop signed his Cardinal ball that we picked up at the team store! So JJ is now his favorite baseball player! He was very nice and friendly while signing. He went to a St Louis game the following week with some of his teammates and enjoyed his experience in Springfield much more! I can’t say enough of what a special day it was for a grandson and his Papa. We will be back.
Kevin D — Google review
This is a great Double-A stadium with a large concourse with a variety of food items. The seats are comfortable and there are grassy areas in the outfield you can visit or sit on the grass. The game was put together well with a good PA announcer and in-between inning games. The only downside is that viewing home plate from the first base side is looking directly at the setting sun when the sun is beginning to set as the game start. I recommend sitting on the third base side or wearing sunglasses and a hat. This would be 5 stars if there wasn’t an issue viewing the game on three first base side due to the sun.
Nathan R — Google review
This is a really nice park for a double a team. I went to see Tink Hence start and there was a two plus hour rain delay before the start of the game. The staff was great and the crowd ( at least 90 percent of them) stayed for the start. Parking was simply. I will be back to see another game sometime soon.

My first visit to Springfield in a long time and the last home game of the year happening on the same day? Becomes a must visit. Sprung for the Redbird Roost ticket and they were 100% worth the price of admission: great food and views. It was an amazing spot to watch the game. I love minor league baseball and Hammons Field is a beautiful place to watch it. Easy to get to, easy parking close by, and easy to get in and out - even when you arrive just before first pitch and leave just after the game ends. Couldn't ask for more - I had an amazing time.

The park also houses the Roston Butterfly House, Gray-Campbell Farmstead, Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden, and Lake Drummond. Visitors can explore paved walking trails and connect to South Creek Greenway.
This is a beautiful park. Lots of beautiful flowers and trees and great walking paths. Ducks, butterflies, birds and other wildlife. It’s definitely my favorite park in Springfield. I just wish the bathroom was open later. They lock the building up pretty early considering how much daylight remains and people going for evening walks. I couldn’t find a bathroom that was open which is frustrating. It’s huge park so maybe there’s an open bathroom somewhere but I didn’t find it.

Probably the best park in Springfield! Very pretty, always clean. You get a good walk around the path. Lots of botanical/educational things as you walk. Nice pond/lake and waterfall. Wilson's Creek National Battlefield is a well-preserved site that commemorates the first major Civil War battle west of the Mississippi River. The 37-acre battlefield, also known as Bloody Hill, retains 80 to 85 percent of its original landscape. Visitors can explore the visitor center with war-era images and artifacts, learn about the battles' history and its impact on slavery, and even visit the impressive Hulston Library during their visit.
Today we hiked the Old Wire Trail at Wilson Creek National Battlefield. We wanted to sell our car in Springfield so we looked for a trail near by. 🤗 There are quite a few trails there and many people taking advantage of the area for biking, running, walking, and hiking. Horses are allowed on some trails but we didn’t see any. Although there were a lot of people, it didn’t seem crowded. 🚶 The trail was mostly a gravel road with one water crossing. The info sheet calls the trail difficult, probably because of elevation gain, but it was overall an easy trail. No rocks to hop on the water crossing and our feet did get wet. 💦 For a sort of urban hike it was nice. We got some huffing and puffing in 😅 and a pretty good walk on a beautiful morning. It was fun to see the historical things along the way. 5 stars, would recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden, nestled within the Springfield Botanical Gardens, is a tranquil 7-acre oasis that offers a glimpse into traditional Japanese landscaping. Established in 1985 through a partnership with Japan's Gunma Prefecture and Jsesaki, this serene garden boasts a picturesque koi lake, a charming tea house, a meditation garden, and an iconic moon bridge.
The gardens were a lovely experience. There is so much beauty in the small details. Lovely colorsd evergreens and maples throughout. Tranquil, peaceful, and not over-crowded (even on Saturday). We were able to maneuver a wheelchair with no difficulty. Chatting with patrons here and there. Many places to sit and rest or capture a picture. Worth a visit or two.

The playground was really cool and my son loved getting to see the animals. The toddler area was cool but didn't hold my 2.5 yr olds attention for long. The sensory garden was a really cool addition.

This whole area is very neat! The playground was fun for all ages, which means you have to watch the little ones but at least it's big enough for the parent to fit in with them. The animal side was well kept, which was nice to be able to enjoy the other aspects of the park without foul animal odors. The gift shop is small but packed full of items, so make sure to take a little spending money. The grounds were clean and obviously well maintained. This park is definitely worth spending an afternoon at!

Honestly expected more. The gravel road made it difficult for strollers and wagons. Once on the grass it's ok. The animals are cute and they have the bouncy houses for older kids but other than that it's just basic. Hardly any pumpkins so maybe best to go later in October or just somewhere else.

This is a sprawling , publicly funded farm that is beautifully kept with numerous animals that include pigs , chickens , goats , cows , horses and other common farm animals. They grow crops there and have several acres , and it is a beautiful place to take the family and remember a simpler time of how people live off the land. The terrific and safe way to introduce kids to different basic animals at are in our society. They often host. Springfield, Missouri offers a variety of attractions for sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame is a must-visit destination for sports fans, featuring over 4,000 items of sports memorabilia honoring exceptional athletes. Interactive exhibits allow visitors to engage in the action, from batting against an MLB pitcher to racing on a NASCAR track.
The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame is a great stop for sports fanatics, and also for those who love local Missouri history. I really enjoyed walking around the outside area with all of the bronze statues of famous Missouri athletes. The ticket price is reasonable. There isn't a ton to see, but sports fans will love seeing the impressive number of famous athletes.

We didn't know this place was closed on Sunday. We were able to walk around outside and there are some remarkable statues with stories of Missouri Sports heroes. We actually went here because my son is a sports fan, even though I really am not. We should have checked the hours, but of course it is closed on Sundays. Anyway, the bronze medal statues along the walkway outside are cool enough to warrant a visit, even on a Sunday. Even for a non-Sports fan.

I called the museum. I have a signed and numbered Marshall Faulk print from the Missouri hall of fame when the Rams were in Saint Louis. I purchased the piece at a Branson Chamber of Commerce fundraiser, and they forgot to give me the certificate of authentication. I am waiting for Jack of the Hall of Fame Museum to call me. Hopefully, the museum has the certificate tucked away and will be able to provide it. 😊 Update 2 months later, Aug 1, 2023 Jack never followed through with calling me back. I suppose I'll have to go to the museum when it reopens and ask in person.

Fun and interesting place to visit especially if you are a sports nut! Something for everyone, even sports widows! Worth coming to visit again as they change and add displays often. The staff member was new but still extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Take a couple hours or so to see exhibits upstairs and downstairs and bronze statues in the garden.

This was one of the best places we went to in our 2 days in Springfield! I loved the high school section, all the games, especially the race car as you could play Forza in it! I really liked the football game where you had to throw the ball through a hole to get points. The exit was just as good, we went on a side walk that had all the statues, I really liked all the sports jerseys that were in the building, they showed lots of history. 5 stars for sure, will be coming back when we go to Springfield again.

Great, family friendly activity. The Minor League team is very good. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Lots of great baseball stadium type food. Beer. Ice cream Prices are reasonable. Lots of infield games to sign up for- very fun to watch. There are special events on certain days of the week. We watched a hotdog eating contest, a great fireworks show and listened to a good band on their 4th of July celebration. Plenty of parking lots within close proximity- very easy to walk to the stadium.

Super family friendly, clean, fun experience. Highly recommend this place, perfect for spending time with friends, even if you don't like baseball a whole lot, they provide a great experience. I get confused when they change their mascots and add new ones, the Springfield Cashew Chickens thing was the most random crap, but i like Springfield Cashew Chicken.

Dalton was our dance studio's representative when we were preparing to perform before a Cardinals game. He was knowledgeable, patient, kind, and always went above and beyond! He made the process easy and was available to answer questions every step of the way! Thank you Dalton for everything you do!

The Springfield Cardinals suites offer an outstanding game-day experience. The views are fantastic, the staff is attentive, and the suites are perfect for hosting groups or entertaining. Food service is generally great, but the hot dog buns are consistently not fresh—something we’ve noticed on every visit. A simple fix that would make the experience flawless. Still highly recommend!

With excessive heat warnings we brought water bottles to fill. We also brought 1 water bottle less than 20 oz. Had to ask 3 people where to fill water bottles. Water cost was high. Spent $30 just trying to hydrate family then just left after the 3rd. Had spent around 70 for tickets. 10 for parking. We've been many times but think we will pass for awhile. There really should be an exception bringing water in on hot days only. I saw 2 people overheating there. Example of profit over people.

The Gillioz Theatre is a beautifully restored 1920s Art Deco-style performing arts theater located in historic downtown Springfield. It features lush velvet upholstery, stunning murals, and ornate chandeliers, making it one of the city's most notable cultural landmarks. The theater hosts a variety of events including plays, concerts, comedy shows, film festivals and more. It has seen performances by renowned artists such as Willie Nelson, Mumford & Sons, Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison.
My first time at this venue and I was little concerned about how the concert would sound because of the size of the auditorium but it was awesome!

Beautiful theatre located in the fun hustle and bustle of downtown. The architecture inside the theatre is gorgeous. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful in finding your way around. Only little negatives were that the seats were too narrow with arm rests on both sides, making it difficult for plus size guests to sit in the seats they purchased. The ladies bathroom had a long line but it moved quickly enough. Another bathroom would be helpful. But overall, a great experience and a fun location!

Had a wonderful experience! Building is historic; so, not fully ADA compliant. That said, it is wheelchair accessible. Staff were friendly and helpful. Safe and secure environment. Springfield Police were professional and classy in their presence at the theater. Temperature, lighting, and volume were pleasant. Happy with the views (I was told by a regular patron "There is not a bad seat in the house") and Happy with the comfort of the seats. * the missing 5th star: During a 2 hour ballet, the single female restroom, (6 stalls, blowers, no papertowels) went from clean to a lack-of-care situation with pools of water on the floors (through the toilet areas to the sink areas, and the spaces between.)

Mother's Brewing Company in Springfield is a popular spot offering a variety of year-round and seasonal beers. The tasting room provides an opportunity to sample different brews, with Saturday tours available for those interested in learning more about the brewing process. Some favorite picks include the Sunshine Chugsuckle hazy IPA, Cobra Scare sour wheat ale, and Winter Grind seasonal beer.

Super fun vibe! Hang out in the beer room or outside on their huge yard or in their barrel room OR upstairs in their newest lounge area. They now have food which is great! Gotta grab a flight, there's something for everyone on tap! Great craft beer to be drank here.
Kristen S — Google review
We stopped here mid-week in August on a whim. The brewery has a very interesting layout, with a pretty extensive parking area, a "walk around to the rear of the building" entrance to the garden, and then the indoor brewery thereafter. There is quite a bit of space outside, and a fair amount indoor. But, what you really are reading this for is the brewery review. Upon entering the indoor area, you are able to complete a 6-beer flight sheet. There is a very large board above the counter with each brew and its characteristics. I chose a fairly light balance of wheat and lagers. The staff were quite helpful and friendly, making this a pretty nice experience. However, while I found the brews to quite aromic, they lacked a corresponding taste.

Where's the entrance? 🤣 Long day.. took us a minute lol. Walking up you're greeted with a large outdoor space.. Plenty of room to chill, have a beer, run a few laps. Entering the taproom you're greeted worth a huge brew board.. Lots of options to choose with the ability to pull a flight to get a good sample.. Mixed results for me. Mostly good, well balanced flavors with a few that just weren't for me, personally. The space is laid out in an interesting bit cool way. I was a fan, overall.

Big shout out to Kyle who went above in the days leading up where my nervousness on my planning process was the highest, and Amir who answered my many questions over months of planning. We have loved Mothers for years, and it seemed like the most fitting place for our wedding, but seeing how it turned out and the help from the team there really solidified creating the perfect wedding I had always dreamed of having.

The Springfield National Cemetery is a burial ground for Civil War soldiers. It has several monuments and memorials, including a marble pillar honoring Brig. Gen. Nathaniel Lyon. Many of the soldiers who died in the Battle of Wilsons Creek were buried here, and their remains are still present.
Had the honor of walking through Springfield National Cemetery this morning. Sometimes you need to walk and reflect on the history of where you are and those who have lived it to understand where and who we are. Well kept and very respectful resting place for our military members and their spouses. I enjoyed the history of the area included in the cemetery and their website was very helpful in learning more about this place and those who call it their final resting place. Office that provides site locations and a public restroom located just inside the front gate.

My Grandfather, who was in WW1 is buried here, along with my Grandmother. I would have loved to meet my Grandpa. My Aunt and her Husband, who was a Marine in the Korean War, are also buried here. My brother, a VN Marine Vet, was buried here in 1980. I was living in Alaska at the time and attended the funeral, but was not here when the headstone was set, and years passed before I was able to visit the National Cemetery. The cemetery grounds are very nice, but when I later saw my brother's stone, I was almost certain the rank was incorrect. Years passed and then in a visit of about 3 - 4 months ago, I happened to encounter Josh, who is in charge of the cemetery, and asked him if there was any way the rank could be corrected. It took some time but after going through many boxes of old family papers I found brother's DD214 and took that to Josh, who immediately sat down at his computer and completed / submitted the paperwork to have a new, corrected stone cut. THANK YOU THANK YOU JOSH. YOU HAVE MADE THE FAMILY'S DAY WITH THIS ASSISTANCE.

amazing This is actually a response to skeptic. I know first hand that the people who bury loved ones here is A not doing community service B He takes his job seriously, and has nothing but the utmost respect for our fallen Hero s And as i said I know this first hand because I am married to Him. And second even if there are community service workers there, what does that matter? Have you never in life made a mistake? If you have not then be my guest judge away, but remember judge not lest you be judged. My husband does an amazing job and has more respect and love for the hero s he helps to their final resting place. I Have been out there picking up sticks off the graves for him because he has that much respect. He goes above and beyond what is required, because they deserve the best

Unfortunately I have to give people the honest truth. To those who are thinking about having their loved one buried here...don't The people whom bury your loved one are there for community service. correct the ones burying your loved one do not care about properly doing anything and then lie about the hours those people have serviced at the facility as well. Bury your loved one at a place that respects the dead, the ceremonies, etc. This is not the same as hazelwood cemetery which is a better and yet slightly attached to this unfortunately ran mess. Avoid this place at all costs including those doing community service

I have always enjoyed visiting my Daddy’s grave as a little boy and even more now that I am in my 70s. I live out of state now and don’t get to visit as often as I would like to but today I noticed that there was a large chip out of his grave stone that has been there for some time now. His stone was obviously hit by a mower, WHY IF YOU HIT A VETERAN’S GRAVE STONE THAT HARD THAN REPLACE IT. My Daddy is MY NUMBER ONE HERO, he died when I was eighteen months old, and life was very rough growing up. Please replace his marker. His name is Walter Frederick Parkhurst. When visiting Springfield, Missouri, make sure to stop by the Route 66 Springfield Visitor Center. This visitor center is not your typical stop; it offers comprehensive information about the area and its attractions, with a focus on the historic Route 66. Open Monday through Friday, it provides visitors with maps and literature to enhance their road trip experience. Additionally, the center itself offers a charming photo opportunity in a mock Fifties diner setup.
The lady working was extremely nice and helpful. I let her know I was in town today because I may be potentially moving here. She was very helpful and informative. She even hooked me up with some Route 66 information.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5 stars) The Springfield Visitor Center is a neat, small hub that packs a punch for travelers looking to explore the city. Located conveniently in downtown Springfield, it’s easy to find and offers ample parking nearby, making it a great first stop for visitors. The center’s compact size gives it a cozy, welcoming vibe, and it’s well-organized, so you don’t feel overwhelmed despite the limited space. The staff were a highlight—friendly, enthusiastic, and eager to share their knowledge about Springfield’s attractions. They provided me with a detailed map and pointed out some lesser-known local spots, including a fantastic café just a short walk away. The center is stocked with brochures, event calendars, and even a small display about Springfield’s history, which added a nice touch for those wanting to learn more about the area. While the space is clean and modern, it could benefit from a few more seating areas for visitors to sit and plan their day. The gift shop had a nice selection of local souvenirs, though I’d love to see more unique, locally made items. Overall, this visitor center is a great resource for anyone new to Springfield, offering just the right amount of information and charm to kickstart your visit. I’d definitely recommend stopping by to get oriented and grab some insider tips!

The Air & Military Museum-Ozarks is a patriotic and hands-on museum dedicated to showcasing the history of the United States Armed Forces. With over 5,000 historic items on display, visitors can explore vintage military aircraft, equipment, uniforms, and artifacts. The museum features interactive displays and restored military equipment such as a Cobra helicopter and a T33 jet aircraft.
Great museum and great volunteer staff. The museum looks pretty small from the outside, but inside it feels much bigger on the inside and there's plenty of interesting things to look at and even touch. The volunteer staff are all veterans. During our visit there were 2 volunteer staff there, and both were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. In the back room of the museum, there is an AH-1 Cobra and a T-33, both of whose flight decks you can sit in. They also have a small gift shop in the front of the museum. Everything in the gift shop was reasonably priced. The entrance fee was also very reasonable -- $6 for adults, $4 for children, and free for military personnel and children under 3. We were even more willing to pay this because it is a 100% volunteer-run, self-funded, non-profit organization! If you're considering visiting, it's a true gem, and I would totally recommend stopping by.

Air & Military Museum of the Ozarks: Where History is Compact, Hands-On, and Absolutely Full of Surprises Let me start by saying—I didn’t expect much. The museum looks small from the outside, and we weren’t exactly walking into the Smithsonian. But then… my boys absolutely LIT UP. 🚀 🎖️ Real Veteran. Real Helicopter. Real Cool. Right off the bat, a real-life veteran (yes, a legit war hero) came over and started explaining how the helicopter worked. And not just “this is a chopper” kind of stuff—he was flipping switches, opening compartments, and explaining the mechanics like we were in a Mission: Impossible pre-briefing. My boys were locked in like he was giving them launch codes. 📼 Cassette Tapes Blew Their Minds And THEN we hit the corner with the cassette player. Oh. My. Goodness. Forget the tanks. Forget the missiles. My kids stood there like they had just discovered fire. “Wait… it just slides out like that?!” “Is this what movies were like in the olden days??” They were pressing every single button on that VHS-TV combo like it was an alien artifact. I haven’t seen that level of awe since they unwrapped their first iPad. 🧭 Compact but Packed with Awesome Yes—it’s small. But what it lacks in size, it makes up for in creativity, hands-on experiences, and actual passion. There are uniforms, survival kits, tools, radios, and enough gadgets to spark a hundred conversations. We climbed into a cockpit, spun radio dials, and looked at antique gear like we were shopping for time-travel essentials. The vibe is intimate, not crowded - and it actually lets kids explore without being yelled at by velvet ropes and “DO NOT TOUCH” signs every five feet. ⸻ Final Thoughts: No, it’s not a national museum with glass floors and tour headsets. But yes, it’s unexpectedly awesome. The kind of place where your kids learn something real, touch something cool, and accidentally become obsessed with cassette tapes. If you’re in Branson and want a short but memorable adventure full of old-school tech, hero stories, and wide-eyed “wait, this is real?” moments - go here. We came for the planes. We stayed for the chopper tutorial. We left talking about the cassette player. 😂

One of the better parks in Springfield. Always enjoy taking walks here. Good trails. Sad the bridges are closed right now though. Overall, definitely recommend this park to visitors

Busy, yet, I wish the cave and trail were open. Novice, short hike, up to the top of cave; yields lovely photo op. There were tiny bats in the cave , so perhaps that was part of reasons for cave to be closed. I think of a time forgotten when looking at this park. Makes mewonder what facts we actually know of our ancestors and what they had to ensure for shelter and warmth. Really cool park and pond. Bring your own duck food. Enjoy nature!

Sequiota Park was such an excellent and fun experience while I was visiting Springfield for a vacation. This city park was much more exciting than many other regional parks, or even state parks that I have visited. The caves near the back side of the park were my favorite. They were closed to enter them when I was there because of the health of the bats, but still seeing them was really great. There's a nice large pond that ends with a small waterfall, which is beautiful. Lots of great hiking trails in the woods, or There's regular paved paths around the park as well.

Pineapple Whip is a beloved destination for both locals and visitors, offering a delightful array of exclusive flavors like grape, strawberry-kiwi, lemon berry, and mango-peach. While the original pineapple flavor is always available, there's also a seasonal rotation to keep things exciting. This non-dairy, fruit juice-based soft serve is perfect for cooling off on hot summer days.
Pineapple Whip gave free whips to children that completed the summer reading program which is such a cool prize. My kids LOVED the classic pineapple flavor and one had it as a twist cone with the lemon berry. I had the lemon berry whip and it was amazing! These are dairy free delights so everyone can enjoy! The favors change from location to location and week to week so there is always something new to try!Highly recommend!

Pineapple Whip is a Springfield specialty and also considered the nectar of the Gods. It is so light and refreshing, with each flavor being unique. It is a true sign of summer to finish a night out getting dinner by swinging by a Pineapple Whip stand and getting some for dessert. Or after spending a few hrs at the pool, swinging by for a sweet treat. Opinions vary, but I would rank the flavors as follows: Pineapple: 10/10 Cherry (limited): 9.5/10 Watermelon (limited): 9.0/10 Mango Peach: 8.5/10 Strawberry Kiwi: 8.25/10 Fruit Punch: 8/10 Orange (limited): 7.5/10 Banana Pomegranate: 7.0/10 Grape: 7.0/10 Lemon Berry:6/10 Chocolate: ranked separately because it is unique and not the regular whip. 9/10- it is very good and reminds me of a Frosty.

If you've never been to Pineapple Whip, you're missing out on a staple summer sweet since the 70s (Say that 5x fast!) While there are a bunch of flavors, the original Pineapple Whip flavor is delectable. Plus, just look at the height of my Whip in a cup! 🤩😮🤩

Super refreshing on a warm summer day! I got the strawberry kiwi swirl and it was SO good the only thing it the lady rushed our order by saying like 10 words but the pineapple whip was so good I couldn’t take a star off. Love this place!!

I stopped at Pineapple whip on my mobility scooter and I got a cup of their delicious Pineapple whip .I hadn't had it for several years and I'm now planning trips in that area just so I can enjoy it again and again. Price was affordable and service was fantastic 👏

Black Sheep Burgers and Shakes is a trendy, brick-walled bar and eatery that offers a unique dining experience for burger enthusiasts. The diner takes the classic American burger to new heights with its distinct flavors and high-quality ingredients. Signature dishes like the Cowboy Carl feature juicy beef patties, crisp bacon, cheese, and a special house sauce. Additionally, they offer decadent shakes crafted to sweet treat perfection. The restaurant boasts a diverse menu of scrumptious burgers and delicious shakes.
We came here while visiting our daughter. The food was amazing the truffle fries, sweet potato fries with peanut butter and marshmallow creme, the nachos with pork and all the burgers were perfect. No complaints and I ordered the round and round drink with vodka, blackberries, and mint. Best drink I've had in a very long time. And our waiter Austin was so friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. If we are in srpingfield again we all agreed we will def visit again.

This was the surprise of our day. In town for a college visit for our daughter and after a long day we were starving. Our MSU tour guide mentioned this place during our tour so we thought we would check it out. I love a good burger and this place did not disappoint. We ordered the Truffle Parmesan fries to share and they absolutely delicious! Good call on the fries for sure. Our server brought all of the sauces for us to try and we enjoyed most of them but they really weren’t needed because the fries were amazing on their own. I ordered the Foodie burger and oh my it was tasty. Our daughter got the Ugly Cheeseburger and she ate every bite with a smile on her face. My wife ordered the Hippie Jen because she doesn’t eat meat. She liked it, but it didn’t knock her socks off like our burgers did to us. Overall, it was a great experience. Very friendly staff, cool atmosphere and one of my favorite burgers in years. If our daughter chooses MSU. I’m sure this will my regular spot when I visit.

Black Sheep is a great choice. Menu is perfect for any burger lover! I had a gluten free bun on the bacon burger. It was fantastic! The onions were way overdone so if you don’t like onions make sure to ask for none. If you don’t mind onions or like them but don’t want them to over power the sandwich then definitely as for light onions. The bacon was really good on the burger! My grandson got the Parmesan fries and the bowl was HUGE! He loved the fries and he is only 18 months old. The service was great, however they served could have given us a refill much sooner than he did. Our glasses were completely empty for a while, but he was still a great server. Super nice. We will definitely be back!

Black sheep was good as I had hoped! We were taking a trip, and this was a stop on the way. You step inside to a great atmosphere and are kindly welcomed. They have burgers that are different, which sets them apart from every other burger place. They have traditional too, but they offer great French fry choices too. Great sauces as well. They have an array of shakes, with or without alcohol, ours were without since we were on the road to another destination.
Brent A — Google review
Damn! That's a good burger. A co-worker ordered for our group earlier this week. It was so good, I've been thinking about it since then. So, tonight I confirmed my first impression - damn good burgers. In general, the restaurant is an odd blend of hipster meets greasy-flat-top burger joint. It's nice but not pretentious, blah blah blah. Whatever. The important part: both burgers devolved into six napkins and a fork to finish. That's just flexing. My co-worker called this place the "best burgers in Missouri" - I was skeptical at first, but...

Amazing place to grab a beer and burger. The service stands out as friendly and efficient. I ordered a burger and cheese curds, the cheese curds were amazing , surely a shareable plate there was a lot. The spicy mayo was amazing. Surely a 'will visit again" place.

I loved eating here, I called ahead to see what kind of cocktails they offered, and they had a great array of milkshakes that they can make with or without cocktails. Overall great price we literally had 2 cocktails, 2 burgers and an appetizer and it was under $60. Loved it, I got the Light My Fire Burger 10/10 definitely recommend
Soph C — Google review
Would definitely recommend this restaurant! The service was amazing and the food was so tasty. The sauces were so good - each sauce was good with different things. The Sriracha mayo was AMAZING - our favorite sauce! The chipotle ketchup was so good with fries, too. It was so hard to pick a favorite sauce, though - they were all delicious! The habanero cheese curds are fantastic - definitely a must if you're feeling appetizers. The chicken bijon sandwich is great if you're not in the mood for a burger - the chicken was juicy and tender. The Bleus Brothers Burger was phenomenal - those homemade pickles absolutely made the sandwich (and I typically am not a fan of pickles). Finish it all off with either a boozy milkshake or a non-alcoholic one and I promise you won't be disappointed!!!

Gailey's Breakfast Cafe is a beloved breakfast spot located on Walnut St. in Springfield. Housed in a reconstructed pharmacy store, this nostalgic eatery serves up traditional American breakfast fare in a straightforward setting. The menu features classic diner dishes such as huge omelets, stacks of pancakes, and sizzling griddles, along with unique offerings like sweet browns made from sweet potatoes. The cafe exudes throwback diner vibes and is known for its colorful Fiestaware serving dishes.
First time trying Gailey’s and was really impressed! The service was great and the food was fantastic! We got seated right away and served real quick. Food came out hot and fresh as well we didn’t have to wait long! Can’t say that will be the case for all since we got there early. It’s a little hipsters-ish but nothing wrong with that. If you’re looking for fancy, better look someplace else but I had a wonderful experience! If you want good food and great service, try this place out yourself! But we will be back again!
Meek M — Google review
Found this little breakfast stop near the square in downtown Springfield. Decent food - loved the arty atmosphere (there is local art for sale on the walls). From what I heard, the original Gailey's was a dinner with a pharmacy in the back. That part of the location is still open; you can sit at the old bar-top and watch them work the griddle. Over the years, the small diner expanded , gradually taking over two other adjacent buildings. So, it has a funky, historic, arty quality. The menu is diverse, but they appear to specialize in skillet breakfasts. There's also some breakfast tacos (that I probably wouldn't order again), omlettes, and a solid selection of coffee and boozy breakfast drinks (along with great tea, hot coco, etc.) I'd recommend this place; it's a cool spot with great service. But I'd recommend sticking with traditional breakfast options. Also, it looks like they do more of a bar/event thing in the evenings. I saw posters for board game nights and live music. I can't speak to those, having just done breakfast. But I'd be down for checking it out in the future. Finding hip places in Springfield can be a bit of a challenge.

Unique dining experience in Springfield with a solid variety of fare. Good choice for breakfast in downtown location. Service was mildly friendly and we had to ask for top off for our coffees twice. Waited 20 min for meals on a Friday morning at 8:30, and food came out hot. Convenient place to meet and eat breakfast in downtown Springfield, MO. Been here a couple times and there's a good amount to choose from.

Food was fast and delicious. I had the French toast breakfast. Hot and yum! I love the atmosphere, the building is made up of many small buildings and rooms, filled with local art that you can purchase. Very cute. Our server was nice and attentive to us. The area is cute and walkable.

We enjoyed our visit. Heard about Gailey’s through friends. We went for an afternoon brunch. The staff were very friendly. Very nice server. Love all the plants. I had stuffed French toast and my husband had an Italian sandwich. The stuffed French toast was delicious. Eggs came out perfectly (rare occurrence for based medium eggs) and the sausage patties were so good. I enjoyed all the plants too as I’m a plant person.
Mary R — Google review
I got the BarHug. The food was good not the best I have had. I wish the gravy had a little more flavor and more sausage. Regardless the item that made this review 5 stars was the hot chocolate. It was the best I have ever had at a restaurant and would go back just for that!! The service was also great and very clean.

The best breakfast experience we've had here. The food was great- all fresh made, and the experience beas a lot of fun. Cool old building with lots of charm and a great wait staff. Parking was okay, a little on the slim side for the area, but we found a space easily enough at 930 on a Tuesday. These guys really wanted to put out a superior product and it showed.

Excellent customer service. Great coffee. Lots of breakfast choices- eggs, pancakes, waffles, burritos, yogurt bowls, etc.., It’s a large place and it was filling up by the time we were done- you can go online and get on their waitlist. Parking is street parking.

The World's Largest Fork by Mass is a unique roadside attraction located in Springfield, Missouri. This impressive stainless steel fork stands at over 35 feet tall and weighs approximately 11 tons. Originally designed for a restaurant, it was later relocated to its current home outside the offices of Noble & Associates advertising agency. While there may be debate about whether it truly holds the title of the world's largest fork, its size and history make it an intriguing sight for visitors passing through Springfield.
The World’s Largest Fork By Mass is one of those slightly corny but yet super cool things to see in person. We were surprised at the number of people taking photos in front of this great landmark. This is definitely worth seeing, a really fun site.

First visit to the Fork and the Redbuds were in bloom. This is located in a very nice part of town. I don’t believe it is the largest any longer, but it was fun for a quick photo.
Penny E — Google review
This was a fun find driving around Springfield. I saw some creative pictures online of people looking like they were trying to grab the fork and I tried to duplicate it. Unfortunately it was raining super hard and when the lightning started I had to give up. I propped my cellphone against my water bottle and used the 10 second times to get in position. It’s better if you hold your hand the way I am doing it in the pictures verses some of the other ways. We went early on a Saturday morning around 7:15’ish. There were no cars or people in the way. If you want a no cost thing to do in Springfield I highly recommend this and the sculpture hunt they have downtown. Just don’t do it in the rain 😬.

Such a forking awesome roadside stop! 😂 If you're into weird roadside attractions like I am, this one’s a must. Relics Antique Mall, located on Battlefield Road in Springfield, Missouri, is a must-visit destination for antique enthusiasts. Voted the Best Antique Store by 417 Magazine, this massive 90,000 square foot space is home to over 500 vendors offering a wide array of unique and wonderful items. Whether you're interested in furniture, dinnerware, figurines, classic albums or CDs, there's something for everyone here.
Picker’s paradise! I could’ve moved in and still not seen it all. If you’re cruising Route 66, do yourself a favor and swing by The Relics Antique Mall. They’ve got everything, stuff you didn’t even know you needed or wanted. Lucky for my wallet (and my tiny suitcase), I was just visiting. Next time I’m bringing a trailer.

HUGE, NOTHING GARAGE SALE THROUGHOUT THE STORE! From the Outside, it looks like it has Lots of Nice Stuff, however when you go in, it's a different story! Booth after booth, I saw Nothing, but Old Stuff that you couldn't even Sell at a Garage Sale. A few Nicer Areas, but Mostly Old JUNK! Even Any Furniture Pieces were Obviously Old, Damaged, & should Actually be Thrown Away! VERY DISAPPOINTING!
Trisha M — Google review
2025-06-17 - 3.5 Stars Very large antique/vintage mall, lot to see, as with most places like this, there are good items for a fair price and some that have the “I don’t want to sell price” but that is everywhere. We did find a few treasures. Down side is we wanted to see in a cabinet that was locked. Only employees behind the front desk seem to have keys. Not good for the vendors. Check your receipts on what you buy to make sure you get the correct discount. AND if they have to refund something back make sure they ALSO include the tax!!!!!!!!!
JS R — Google review
This place is massive. Furniture, collectibles, commics, books, glassware, crafts and home made small business goods. Well worth the stop. You're almost guranteed to find something.

We love relics, you can spend an entire day here, so many vendors can find almost anything you are looking for, comfortable atmosphere, always clean. Check out can take a while, but it gives you time to peruse the cases a little & the staff is generally helpful & friendly. They stay very busy & parking can be a bit of an issue. All in all though I highly recommend Relics
April V — Google review
I could spend all day getting lost in here. The only thing that holds me from it is that lack of snacks. Edit on 5/31/25: The provisions we're located as foretold. Extended adventures unlocked!
Robyn S — Google review
In the way of 'antique' malls, this is a medley of antiques, crafts, boutique items, and rummage sales finds. If you are unable to find something that interests you here, then you are not looking hard enough. There is a collection of fine furniture and antiquities that I thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed. Some prices are low while others are questionable-- but in the world of antiquities and unique items, the owner can ask their price. I found a few choice pieces that I will appreciate for some time to come. So why only three stars? For starters, I went there on a Saturday. The parking outside is rough, hardly a place for a larger vehicle or full-size truck. Perhaps I misunderstood from what I saw on the internet, but I thought there was a café there that served lunch and I was disappointed that there was not. One of my least favorite aspects was the line for the cashiers. It was chaos in motion, with no stanchions to direct traffic, it was formed down three different directs and all blocking the main aisle for other visitors to pass by. I had to wait in this line just to ask for someone to open a showcase for me. I then had to wait again a second time to pay for my items. Every large antique mall I have ever visited, and I have visited a myriad of them, has some type of bell or light system that signals that a potential buyer would like to see inside of a showcase. I have never had to hunt for an employee to sell me something. Why are there not any latches on the stall doors? That would be considerate to the customers. I would have liked to look at all of the books, but some booths actually had them just thrown on the floor in huge piles, couldn't even get in the booth. All of the employees that I dealt with were polite, except the one who opened the showcase for me (what is with all of the knives?). I enjoyed my 5-hour visit to this mall, and I would recommend it to anyone searching for interesting items. What I do not recommend is going on a Saturday during Christmas break.
Eric M — Google review
Wow! This antique mall is so big and full of so much to look at. The booths are not crowded so they are easy to scan if you don’t have a lot of time. I will say most of the antique booths are in the front and middle of the store, so if you don’t have time for the back I would focus on the front. The farther you get to the back, the less antiques you will find. If you are looking for anything, you will probably find it here, the variety is impressive! The staff are very friendly. The store is big enough that even if it’s busy it doesn’t feel crowded. The parking lot is sufficient as well. There are handicapped parking areas and it looks to be wheelchair accessible. Definitely worth a stop and look if you have the time! I’ve been here twice and haven’t seen all of it yet, but I plan on going back a third and possibly even more.

Jordan Valley Park is a spacious urban oasis in Springfield, offering a variety of attractions for visitors. The park features a water-play fountain, picnic benches, and expansive grassy areas for relaxation and recreation. Adjacent to downtown's baseball stadium and sports complex, the 12-acre park provides a green retreat with jumping fountains, shaded picnic spots, walking trails, an outdoor amphitheater, and unique children's play features.
Drove in to Springfield on a Monday afternoon in May, and had the evening to spare, so went here and walked around downtown. It was pretty neat. Loved the fountain setup, and some of the art around. There was some run event going on, so had to park at Hammons Field. It was very crowded in the park. Close enough to downtown that I could just walk over.
Vipul S — Google review
Beautiful park! The fountains are definitely my boys favorite place to go. They have several sections with fountains, some with bigger splashes and some with smaller ones. The water is less than a foot deep, so my young toddlers could play in it with no issue. Not a lot of shade in the fountains, but otherwise the park is super shaded. There are a couple of places with picnic tables, including one covered area. There is also a small playground. Parking is a little space, but other than that it is a great place to spend a warm afternoon

We had an Angleman Syndrom event there with live bands and about 100 people registered plus a few public wondering in and room for plenty more people. Great place to hold event with outdoor stage area could easily accommodate 500 people or more.

This park is really cool and has wonderful wading pool areas for kids. There are plenty of spaces to roam around and some pretty neat displays that are interactive. The only thing is that it took me a long time to figure out where I was supposed to park, and I had to go to the Parks and Recreation website to figure it out. For those wondering, you park at the ice skating rink down the street.
Lea M — Google review
My 16 year old autistic daughter is so enthusiastic about this beautiful park the flowing water fountains and the flowers are so wonderful and with the clean smell of chlorine I am not at worried about any bacterial problems. I love it too the water was such a perfect temperature cool enough for the heat and when the sun began to set it was warm and delightful. We spend hours and never get bored or tire of it, also the people are so nice it's really an awesome friendly place for everyone.
Debbrah W — Google review
Nice splash area for the kids to cool off in. The bricks are not attached, so kids pick them up and throw them. The rules say no to do this, but not one person read the rules while we hung out here. Eventually they will destroy the splash area, which will be sad. Still, it's a great free place to spend some time. Parking wasn't clearly marked, but everyone was parked behind the ice skating rink.

Lovely little get-away inside Springfield. Boathouse with kayaks for rent, some souvenirs and small snacks as well as drinks are available. Pavilions plus the boat house(indoor venue complete with kitchens) are available. Playground at the South Pavilion plus swings at the North Pavilion along with a basketball court is also available. Paved trail along with a more rugged Ozark and Lake Springfield are also there. Bonus….a disc golf course too! Plenty of parking up by the entrance and how’s by the boat house.

Wonderful nature space. Uncrowded, excellent wooded hiking trail system, great green spaces, play equipment, and a very nicely marked disc golf course. The only thing needed is an extension of the paved trailway for the elderly and parents pushing a baby.

This is a beautiful park with loads of ducks. You can walk around, rent a kayak, or rent the boat house for a party. We love to just sit and look at the water and the ducks. It's relaxing. Also it's a good place to bring a chair and sketch or fish. A lot of people fish from the bank here. It needs a store for drinks and snacks but other than that, there are restrooms and pretty good parking. I would recommend going here.

I had never heard of this place until we were looking for things to do with our kiddos before school starts. It was so cool and had lots of nifty things to look at. All three kids 10, 8, 4 loved it. Really neat place to visit if you enjoy fossils and geology. They have a decent collection of dinosaur and Ice age era fossils to look at, and the other half of the place is all rocks and mineral crystals. They also have neat things for sale like hard to find crystals and fossils. So far I've picked up a mosasaur tooth and an ice age bison bone for very reasonable prices. It's a must see for any rock/crystal/fossil collector, especially if you're after authentic pieces to add to your collection.

With nice weather, we showed up early when they opened and hit the links for some fun. Great atmosphere, very clean, and lots of snack/drink options. Will be back next year!

This was an amazing course and very fun! Had a bunch of different decor on each hole and had a nice snack bar at the front, they also sell beer!. Also has a really cool place to sit down and drink and play some games on the side of the course! Must see and play when visiting Springfield Missouri! I loved every bit of this place!

Fun place. They have food and drinks. I feel like the food is kinda priced high for what it is but not super high. Drinks are reasonably priced. Both alcohol and non-alcohol. We played both courses and they were very fun. I would definitely come back. It would be really fun at night too.

We had a great time! The courses were fun and get family atmosphere. Highly recommend going here!

Our first time here. It was great! Tuesday night, so no crowd. We played the US side, which is supposed to be easier than the International side. Course is in good condition. Seems obvious that it is well taken care of. Really like the themed holes - Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, Old Faithful, etc. Will definitely be back to play the other side! Update: Bank for round 2! Played the international side this time and found it more difficult and not as nicely themed. Still very enjoyable , but back to the USA side for us.

Delightful vene, and a super fun show , awesome theater company doing a lot of really cool things. The rich history makes a show here even more special. Especially enjoyed having leg room so I wasn't cramped during the show. Small and intimate setting. Very fun will definitely be back.

We came to Springfield for a Saturday event and we weren't sure how we were going to spend Saturday evening. We searched around and found tickets to a local showing of The Waitress at Little Theater. I grabbed tickets and we headed out! Once we sat down, I quickly realized why these tickets were still available... it's very hard to see from FF row. I spent the first half of the show leaning every which way around the folks in front of me to see what the actors were up to. Luckily, no one came to sit in the seat next to me or in front of me so I just moved over in the second half and had a better experience, but I unfortunately don't recommend the F row seats. If the people in front of you decide to lean forward (which several of them did for me), they block nearly the entire front half of the stage from view. Other than that, what an incredible little venue. Amazing performers and cozy space! Enjoy this gem Springfield!

We came from Sedalia and seen the play Annie, not only was this play wonderful as a huge fan of the movie(s) I would consider this a masterpiece as the actors were phenomenal, gave it their all, and brought these characters to life as I've never seen before. I will definitely be looking forward to come and see another play that this theater gives!! 👏👏

Springfield Little Theatre produces Broadway level shows right here in the Midwest. The theater is stunning, the staff is so fun and helpful, and the productions are next level. They even have an actual Broadway Star join them in shows every couple of seasons! How cool is that? If you want high quality performances for a decent price, this is WELL worth it.

The museum has over 900 guns on display, representing guns that were used in the 1600s to current day. While some of the more unique items are not available for purchase, the museum is an excellent source of information about American firearms history.
I highly recommend anybody that loves guns and that’s a gun owner check out this museum. My favorite part was the vast majority pistols and revolvers they had on display

This firearms museum is one of the best I've ever seen! They have firearms from every era and all kinds of history to read about them. There are some weapons here that you won't see anywhere else in the world and some of them belonged to famous and infamous people alike. The Railroad Historical Museum, located in Grant Beach Park on North Grant St, offers a hands-on experience for train enthusiasts of all ages. Visitors can explore equipment, artifacts, and photos from the historic St. Louis-San Francisco Railroad and climb aboard some of the rolling stock. The museum is free to enter and open from 2-4 p.m., with knowledgeable volunteers available to share fascinating stories about the railroad's history.
What an adorable museum! The Railroad Historical Museum was a must-see in Springfield for any railroad enthusiasts or train aficionados. I love trains--and since my husband loves me, he tagged along. Since it is only open from 2-4 p.m. on Saturdays (it relies on donations and volunteers), it is something you'll likely need to plan in advance. Parking is a bit weird to find, but head for the giant locomotive you can see by the street. Part of the museum allows you to walk through real train cars, set up with photos, news articles, models, dioramas, and real passenger train supplies. You can also ring the train bell and toot a horn (fun for kids and big kids alike!). There is also an exact replica of a little station you can walk through with more things to see. All volunteers were super nice and answered all the nerdiest questions I had with the utmost of patience. I felt no pressure to buy things or donate (in fact, I think it would benefit them to make the donation box a bit bigger and more noticeable; they truly deserve it). Lovely people, lovely place. If I lived in the area I would consider volunteering myself. Highly recommended!

As someone who travels to a lot of rail museums, I can very much say this is one of my favourite out of the hundreds of museums I've been to. We had a fantastic experience here at Crystal Cave! Immediately walking up from the parking lot, you see some pretty cool statues of some prehistoric lizards. Their gift shop has some pretty interesting things to check out (like their gem panning!). While on the tour, our guide Andy was super knowledgeable and awesome! We didn’t have a super large group but I felt like I had enough time to get pictures as well as learn about the cave. As someone who has been visiting caves in the nearby areas, this cave offers some of the most interesting views and features that you can see up close compared to some of the other caves. We were told that they offer wild tours which sound incredibly exciting!
Carson M — Google review
We had a great experience on Sunday touring the cave with our guide, Christina! Was well worth our time and money. Only recommendation, bring your own high power flashlight and be prepared to do a little crab walking here and there. We really enjoyed being the only 2 people on that particular tour. Fun date spot, and don't forget to do the gem mining at the end. It was a little kid silly, but still fun! We look forward to trying the Wild Tour next!
Life G — Google review
Had a great experience here! The guides were knowledgeable and made the tour lots of fun. If you're tall like me, be aware that there are several very low spots that might be a bit uncomfortable at times, but it's totally doable. This is a great spelunking trip for children.
Jackie H — Google review
I liked the cave, it has plenty of formations and cool facts but the cave is a little tight, there are very low 3' ceilings that will make you crouch or crawl if you choose to go through them, the cave also has low 3.5' to 4' walkways were you will haft to balance yourself with the guard rails, there is also a lot of low ceilings but the cave itself is nice and the gift shop is pretty cool. (The tour is a little short but the tour guide was great) (my lower review is from cave ceilings and a tour that felt shorter than normal.)
Sky W — Google review
We visited on a warm July. Our tour guide was very science focused. Would have enjoyed more of the cave stories, but overall enjoyed our tour. Beware that the tour is rather athletic and very close at times. Spaces are small and ceilings are low. Definitely an unusual cave and well worth the tour.
Helen A — Google review
Went there with my family. It was beautiful to explore. Christina, our guide was incredibly patient with my family, my parents, and younger siblings. Fam of 8. She spoke and described a lot on the tour and was incredibly kind. It felt wonderfully cool inside. There are a few areas you have to crouch to get through due to low ceilings and passages, but the view is worth it absolutely. In the gift shop, Christine was patient with my siblings wandering around as we waited for the tour, talking with the little ones and smiled the whole time.
Miriam D — Google review
Spectacular, majestic, and captivating. The tour guide was amazing, she personalized our tour and was very knowledgeable. While we only spent about an hour in the cave, these memories will live with me forever. The coolest part - when I visit in the next 30-40 years this fast growing cave may look totally different. Bonus if you bring your own high powered flashlight for extra shiny photographs.
Skyler T — Google review
Wasn’t worth $40 a piece for a 15 minute “Walk With The Dinosaurs” and a cave tour. I did like the cave and the guide was very nice and polite. The gift shop had some old coin games and old gum machines. They were neat to look at. I wish I hadn’t paid so much, but I’m glad I went. I can’t see a reason to return.

Valley Water Mill Park is a peaceful park with walking trails and a small watermill. It's a great spot to picnic and explore the Ozarks' waterways.
Very nice park with an education center and several shaded (and sunny) trails around a man-made lake. Apparently, McCracken Mill formerly stood at the far end of the pond. There are also accessible fishing piers and shore-level fishing access points. We'll have to come back when the ed center is open and/or events are planned.

Very nice spot for a walk. Enough up and down to get the heart pumping a bit. Some interesting local history and a real, easily visible spring. Perhaps 1.5-2.0 miles depending on which side trails you take. 30-45 minutes for once around the lake.
WMW — Google review
Very nice nature place to walk through. A few spots to sit and just watch. A flock of geese were on the water. Nice little hike and educational centers around how the water gets to the tap.
Joseph B — Google review
Plenty of room here to spread out and get away from the crowds. There's some sidewalk for all ages, but most of the trails are uneven with endless rock and root tripping hazards, along with numerous elevation changes. Not to be discouraging, but just be aware. Much of the trail is shaded and there are several benches along the way. There are are also restrooms available.
Dave D — Google review
Lots of interesting scenery in this area, including the lake and waterfall, forest, wetlands and stream. We enjoy looking at the spring that can be seen from the overlook. We couldn't find the side trail that is supposed to go to the stream, but we have walked the loop around the lake and through the wetlands a couple of times. Watch out for ticks. One of our visits was shortly after some rain, and too many mud puddles so we had to walk in the grass to avoid those. Found a nymph afterward.

Very beautiful; paved & unpaved trails, with plenty of water access to a pond & a creek. Very nice scenery with picnic tables for a nice family setting. Great place to take your dog for a wonderful walk & a cool dip in the creek!!! Nice walking bridge & this area usually has a nice breeze blowing. I've been to two productions so far and both were extremely well done. It is a tiny venue so every seat in the house is a great seat. You are truly a part of the show being so up close and personal. I'm so impressed with the actors. To stay so in character and never be distracted by the audience who is so so close... it's really impressive. And the shows are reasonably priced also. One of the gems I've found in Springfield being relatively new here.

Absolutely loved the experience! Not a bad seat in sight. My favorite park in Springfield. There is a wonderful music park and two different playgrounds. They are a little more suited for little kids, but I love that there are not really places to fall off! The park is far from the road, so there is lots of space for little kids to run around without a parent on them all the time. My kids love it, too!
Savannah S — Google review
It's a nice park. We were there at night, it seemed safe. There was some sort of uniformed bicycle operator with a lot of lighting that seemed to be patrolling the place in some manner. They could've just been the World's Safest Bicyclist though. There's a stage with columns that don't appear to have ever had any structure associated with them. There's a well lit wall that has appeared in music videos. There's an art installation there that could be described by many terms: speech balloon, thought bubble, quote bubble; it's actually an Ernest and Ruth installation. We had a wildlife interaction with an inch worm. I'm not sure what's larval in September in SWMO. Video attached.

There is a pleasant creek along the way where your pup can take a refreshing water break. Despite the time of day, the trail is not overly crowded, allowing for a peaceful experience. This hiking area in Springfield boasts both paved and natural trails, providing an excellent workout as you navigate hills and valleys.
Very good trail. It’s asphalt with a winding path, up and down hills. There are a few benches along the way. There’s shade of a canopy and open prairie and it goes on for miles and miles. Loved walking this path. The pavilion at the trail head has a beautiful mosaic set in the concrete. There are several parking spaces and a long stretch of concrete that could be used for parking as well.

This is one of many parking areas along a gorgeous stretch of paved trails, where you're likely to bump into several friendly folks, who make you feel welcomed, or strike up a conversation with a new person, and walk 5 miles talking like best buds (You rock Ben. I needed that walk that day). Lately, this is NOT the place to park/start you journey. This is the 2nd time I've pulled up and there are 2 plies of fresh glass. This time I arrived in a friends car, and decided to let everyone know. IT'S NOT SAFE TO LEAVE YOUR CAR HERE, PEOPLE!! Stay safe.

It’s a great place to walk. I wouldn’t recommend kiddos on a bike or kiddos in general. It’s a long trek on the Rutledge Wilson trail with some moderate hills and curves. It is quite beautiful though.
Andrew B — Google review
Very nice trail for a walk; I brought my pup along with me. There are a few branching paths to take. The creek provided a nice water break for my pup after walking for a bit! For the time of day we went, it wasn't too busy. Beautiful walk!
Forrest B — Google review
This trail is very nice, but I would love to see a drinking fountain, and there are a few big lumps in the path that could potentially cause someone to get hurt. Overall though, this trail is great, and I'll keep going on it as long as I live near it.
Samuel M — Google review
Best place to hike in Springfield area in my opinion. Paved trail with natural trails throughout. Great workout with paths that go up and down hill. Lots of wild flowers, insects, birds, reptiles, and more. Highly recommend!
Minchkin77 J — Google review
Great trail. Steep hills in a few areas. Ensure your bike can shift to 1-1... you'll need it! Path covered in water in areas. Be prepared to go through livestock gates--breaks up your rhythm a bit but still an enjoyable ride. Entire trail (out and back) is 11.3 miles.
Scott F — Google review
Very nice walk through local farmland and grasslands. Nice, paved trail throughout which would be good for cycling, walking, running, or any other sport one would want to use on a paved trail.

Grant Beach Park is an expansive and beautiful park with a pool, that is perfect for family fun. The pool has two slides, a drop slide, and a spring board that are perfect for children. In the summer time, the park will be filled with families who enjoy swimming and playing games on the plentiful lawn areas.
It's a excellent place to go and get away from city. It's quiet and peaceful place You can go swimming or have a picnic or take a free tour of the train station

Great playground. There is a big playground for big kids and another smaller one for toddlers. Lots of space to run around. It is set pretty far from the main road, so I never felt like my kids were too close to traffic. My kids screamed like a girl at a beatles concert when they saw that big train and we are looking forward to doing the tour in the summer time. Fairly clean and not too crowded the times that we have been there.
Savannah S — Google review
No. Maybe for the community in the area, I went to the park for my morning walk thinking it is gonna have a trail or something. It is riddled with homeless people and trash. It smells. There isnt much to it aside from a baseball diamond and a pool. I won't be going back for any reason.
Shane C — Google review
I walked down around here many times during the day and I found it to be a gray little park! Plenty of benches, nice tracks (if you like that kind of thing) plenty of picnic tables and grills!

Decent place, has its issues like any other park, but can be useful.

Tyler Ridge Vineyard Winery offers a delightful experience in the countryside. Located along a scenic route, this sunny house welcomes visitors with open arms. The friendly hosts promptly serve glasses of wine upon arrival, allowing guests to sample and select their preferred bottle from an extensive collection priced at only $17. Outside, a charming paradise awaits as patrons savor both the delicious lunch provided and the picturesque view of the well-maintained vineyard.
Excellent owner/operators. Great Missouri Wines. Peaceful property. The owners are so friendly and helpful. Free wine tasting. Nice deck with great views. Walked through the vineyard and picked a few grapes. Spent about an hour here and it was lovely. Grass parking areas.

This winery is wonderful! The owners are so welcoming, we felt like we were family. Hearing their stories and enjoying great wine made for a very relaxing afternoon! Such a beautiful setting, off the beaten path.
Debbie K — Google review
Completely delightful. A winding road through the country brings you to a beautiful sunny house where a delightful couple will whip out glasses and poor you wine the moment you walk in the door. For only $17 we got to sample all of the wines that they had to offer and choose a bottle for ourselves. Then we sat outside in their little paradise, enjoying lunch that we brought with us with the wine, followed by a stroll through their well manicured Vineyard where we could sample the grapes. We sat in a sturdy bench swing shaded and covered by grapevines with clusters of grapes within reach for sampling. What a glorious way to spend an afternoon! No sound of the city or cars, only the breath of wind and rustling of leaves, and soft sounds of birds.

Excellent experience here, visited with my mom. We tasted all the wines (8) that they had, half are whites, other half reds, ranging from dry to sweet on both. We liked them all. The owners are very welcoming and the wines are very impressive, reasonably priced!

Calaboose Museum, located on McDaniel Street, was originally built in 1891 as a municipal jail. The small museum offers self-guided tours and features exhibits showcasing local police history. Despite its limited hours of operation, it is well worth a visit during the First Friday Artwalk. Visitors can expect to see interesting displays and learn about the area's law enforcement heritage.
This has a lot of history to look at and read about. Could have spent a lot more time in here. Great place.

Generally open during First Friday Artwalk, the small museum is well worth the 15 minutes it takes to casually walk through the exhibits. During our visit, an officer was amiably fielding random questions from a lively crowd.

Small, but nicely laid out to display a lot of local police history. Kind of interesting that they went straight up for the size, rather than a wider footprint. Hours are very limited.

Love this play place! All my kids (ages 2-7) love coming here and are always begging to come back. The staff is wonderful and very nice and personable. I can tell they really care about their customers and their facility. Everything is very clean and I can see staff cleaning, organizing and sanitizing throughout the day. There is a variety of things for my kids to play with from imagination play to sensory and motor play. I highly recommend you check this place out.
Courtney A — Google review
We love Nana’s! Our twins have the best time running around and playing. Our son will stay in the sand forever and our daughter loves visiting all the different stations. It is always so clean and I really appreciate that. We had the kids’ 3rd birthday party here too and it was a blast. Everyone enjoyed it so much and the staff was very kind. Highly recommend!
Rachel B — Google review
What a great place to have available! So clean, the person working was so nice and helpful. They have so many areas and things for kids to play on. There is an areas designated for under 2 years old so they aren’t trampled by older kids. Perfect area for them too! The little city is just adorable! The cafe is so cute!!! The little roller coaster was a hit with my 18 month old grandson! Perfect place to take kiddos to beat the summer heat, on a rainy day, in the winter, or just because. They even have a spot for birthday parties!
Amber E — Google review
There are a lot of places to take kids to play in the Springfield area and I truly feel like Nana’s is one of the best. I’m so thankful for a safe space for kids where staff truly enforce the rules and safety while also going above and beyond for sanitation and cleaning. It is HUGE but there are clear sight lines from end to end which is so helpful for parents of multiples. The staff make you feel like family!
Taylor B — Google review
Such a fun open space for littles! It was comfortable to hang and talk as adults. I loved that we could bring our own snacks to enjoy. It was really nice that you can see the entire place from mostly anywhere inside, making it really comfortable for parents to relax and still monitor playtime. The whole place felt very clean! We can’t wait to go back!
Alli P — Google review
Our favorite play place ever!! We drive an hour just to go play at Nana’s, especially when I am off during the summer. I love the variety of toys, both gross motor toys and dramatic play. The staff are always so sweet and welcoming. I also appreciate all their extra activities or themed experiences that they plan in addition to regular play. It’s the perfect place for mom friends to meet and catch up while the littles play too 😊
Sierra F — Google review
Spent 200$ to rent a room for my daughter's birthday party, got there a few minutes early to setup, and they denied us access to the room even though it was empty. Then they said for 50$ bucks they would allow us to get in the room 10 minutes early. Extremely disrespectful staff during the whole birthday.
Lighting B — Google review
CORRECTION: I was wrong when I said they should add a timeout room. Apparently there is a quiet room for kids to calm down. I was unaware of this and neither were a couple of other moms I asked. I’m also not sure why the owner didn’t offer that as a solution early on. I did not CHOOSE not go to a quiet room. I was unaware of its existence. Had I known, or had it been pointed it out to me, I would have happily taken my kids in there for a break. Anyway… UPDATE: I updated my review because of the owner’s rude and misleading response. To clarify something, my children didn’t “run over small children” in the “area designated for toddlers”. I did have one older child that was in the toddler area for a bit because her 18 mo sister was in there. I was standing right there and watching them closely. There was only one other little boy and I never saw my child touch him. She just wanted to play in the ball pit. When the owner mentioned it being against the rules, I removed my kid. Shortly before being asked to leave, my older child rolled a car across the floor (in the main space) and it lightly tapped a boy already on the ground. She didn’t “run over” anyone. These inaccuracies (whether intentional or not) makes me wonder if it is possible that the “multiple parents came to me with concerns” may be a bit of a stretch, as well. She certainly did not share this piece of information during our initial email correspondence. I am quite upset at how much is implied in the owners response here. At the time of the incident, I thought she had an air of looking down on me and my kids. I dismissed the thought and chalked it up to my own embarrassment. After reading the response, I’m not sure I was imagining the attitude. To say I do not take ownership for my kids behavior is an unnecessary insult and implies how she judges me as a parent. I should have just gone with my gut and left early, if for no other reason than not having to interact with this woman. I don’t know what happened to the regular lady/ladies that managed the front desk all summer, but I do not find the owner to be a kind or compassionate person. ORIGINAL REVIEW : I really like/liked this place. They’re very clean and there is good visibility through the entire play area(s), so it’s easy to keep track of multiple children. They also have a sand box instead of a water table, so you can avoid putting a wet kid in the car for the drive home. All that being said, it’s not a great fit for us anymore as our children are on the spectrum and got a bit too wild and loud during our most recent visit. If your children are not very obedient, make yourself very familiar with all of the rules as they may ask you to leave without prior warning. I knocked off 2 stars for a couple reasons. When asked to leave (which I understand, my children were being particularly difficult this day), I feel like a touch more discretion could have been used. I was not pulled aside, just spoken to at plain volume with a couple other parents in earshot. It was embarrassing, well, additionally embarrassing on top of my children’s behavior. I was mostly disappointed, however, that they would not approve a partial refund. My youngest didn’t do anything wrong, and I intervened at every point my middle child was being confrontational with other children. I was told there would be no refund because rules were broken (I get that), but also because I was heard threatening to make them leave early if they did not start acting better. Like we should have just left on our own. I really didn’t want them to have to leave early, though, as this was going to be the last trip to NPP for a while. I was trying my best to keep my kids in check. Sometimes it’s not enough, though. I wish we could come back, but I was so embarrassed by the whole thing and just felt incredibly unwelcome by the associate’s demeanor. I just don’t think it’s a good fit for my kids anymore. Still great for NT kids that are very obedient, though. So if you’ve got a troupe of Bingos at home, your family will probably fit in just fine.

As a mother of two young children, I have attended parties at various locations, but Imaginasium stands out as an exceptional indoor playground. One of its notable features is the ability to split payment for convenience. The day before our reservation, we received a confirmation call from Eric who ensured that all details were in order for our two-hour slot. We discussed the decorations we planned to set up during the event.
So fun and clean!! The staff was so friendly. 1 and 4 year old had a blast. They were hungry and the snacks were like less than a dollar. I feel like everywhere up charges everything now and it’s nice to see a place genuinely want to give parents of littles a super fun and affordable place to play.

We celebrated our son's birthday at Imaginasium, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, they were kind, helpful, and so accommodating from start to finish. The space was clean, safe, and full of fun activities for the kids. All the children had such a blast, nonstop smiles, laughter, and play the entire time! We’re so glad we chose Imaginasium for this special day and would highly recommend it to anyone planning a party or just looking for a great place for kids to play.
Sabina S — Google review
I took my 2 granddaughters, ages 2 and 5, here for the first time this week. I wanted to spend time with them before the 5-year-old starts kindergarten. I needed an indoor activity due to my health and the heat. Their setup is so accommodating, I kept thinking to myself, why did I not hear about this place sooner!? The variety in play level was perfect. The number of activities was endless! I mean, what kid doesn't love an indoor bouncy castle? It was VERY clean and sanitary. They provide any home comfort you might need. There was a snack area for convenience with full-size and toddler tables, allowing you to bring your own lunch or snacks. Which is just what I had done. The 5 year old said she had the best time ever, and so did I ! We were respectful and continued to pick up after ourselves. I cannot say enough about this experience. The price was right, too. Best money and time I've ever spent with my girls! 💝💖💞
Renee P — Google review
We have visited Imaginasium many times and we are never disappointed! They only allow socks past the entrance so the entire place is very clean. An employee is always cleaning when we visit and the toys are kept tidy and sanitized which is one reason we are repeat visitors. Would recommend 100% to anyone with younger children!
Rachael T — Google review
We love imaginasium and the employees are always so friendly and helpful. It’s been awhile since we visited and I’m not sure we will return. There’s many positives; the lady working the desk was SO nice, it wasn’t too busy, they have sitting for grownups… BUT I was really let down by the cleanliness and selection of toys for the price. So many toys had visible gunk/dirt on them. Only 1 bucket could be found to put yucky toys in and it was hard to find. The large slide had either slobber or urine on it (a large wet spot) and just overall looked like it needed a good cleaning. I don’t remember it being like this in the past so maybe we came in on a rough day. I felt like for the cost some of the toys were really old/broken and dirty. That being said, employees have always been warm and friendly! We appreciate their kindness when we visit.
Hailey G — Google review
Soooo fun for littles!! My son is 4 and my daughter is 1 and they both have a great time. I wish older siblings were allowed in the “baby” are but that’s really my only complaint!
Savannah Q — Google review
Great place to take the kids to play indoors. It was different from Itty bitty City in the sense that it was more of a playground than pretend play. My 1 year old was able to play comfortably and safely. My 4 year old also enjoyed herself very much. It was $16 for both kids. There is even an area for the kids to sit and have a snack (they sell snacks if you forget your own)
Kaylin C — Google review
My kiddo loves this place, and so do I! We’ve been 5 times now, and the staff already knows her by name. There’s plenty of toys for them to play with, even for a toddler who’s not walking just yet. Highly recommend!
