Fine dining restaurant
Tamarind Restaurant is a modern, award-winning dining spot in Cairns, known for its Asian-inspired Australian cuisine. The restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere with a wood-panelled setting and an elegant dining room attached to The Reef Hotel Casino. The menu focuses on using local produce, some of which comes from the hotel's rooftop garden.
✨ Anniversary Dinner Perfection ✨ We celebrated our anniversary at Tamarind and it was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, the service was flawless – warm, professional, and genuinely attentive without being overbearing. We opted for wine pairings with our meal, and every match was spot on. Each dish was beautifully presented and absolutely bursting with flavour – you can really taste the care and creativity behind it all. It’s no surprise this place has two chef hats – it’s so well deserved! Every course felt special, the atmosphere was elegant but relaxed, and we left already talking about when we’ll be back. Thank you Tamarind for making our night unforgettable 💛
Lauren D — Google review
Being Asian, I felt that Tamarind Restaurant doesn't have a significant standout feature. We opted for the three-course meal priced at $99. Overall, everything was satisfactory, but I found the prices to be a bit high relative to the quality. The sophistication of the dishes did not quite reach the standard of fine dining. I was more pleased with the appetizer than the main course. For the appetizer, the scallops were fried in butter and topped with nori, while the raw beef tower featured grilled rice balls and mayonnaise. The main course consisted of a whole grilled barramundi, which might surprise Australians, but this cooking method is common in my hometown. The duck confit curry, unfortunately, had too much coconut milk and was overly sweet, lacking depth of flavor. As for dessert, the Berry Garden's meringue had an egg-like smell, while the peanut whiskey cake was nice. However, I believe the bottom layer should be made of puff pastry or something more delicate, rather than a thick slice of bread. I understand that balancing portion size and exquisite presentation can be challenging. I believe you’ll continue to improve.
Chuang L — Google review
Tamarind Restaurant will appeal to serious foodies as it is has innovative food you will not find in most regional Australian cities. We had asparagus textures and scallops for a starter and Penang duck curry and three kinds of pork for mains. It was all good, as were the sides, but the best of all was the duck curry. Highly recommended. The service staff were good too though perhaps slightly overworked.
Raymond L — Google review
Had a bit of a mixed experience at Tamarind, which left me torn between giving 3 or 4 stars. Ultimately, I’m giving it 3 based on my own meal, though the overall experience at the table suggests it could easily be a 4. To start, I ordered the cured kingfish, which was unfortunately the biggest letdown of the evening. The texture was unexpectedly dry and crumbly, quite different from what you’d expect from a cured fish, which usually has a smooth, firm bite. It actually began falling apart when pressed lightly with a knife. A shame, because the flavours and sauce were well-balanced and promising. That said, the staff were very understanding when I brought this up and quickly swapped it out for another entrée. Have to say the service is great! The scallops, on the other hand, were a highlight — fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. For my main, I had the eye fillet. It was cooked to a lovely medium rare and was incredibly tender — a quality piece of meat. Unfortunately, it arrived lukewarm at best, which did take away from the overall enjoyment. My own entrée and main pairing didn’t quite hit the mark, but the other diners at my table had a more consistent experience. The barramundi and duck mains were both exceptional and came out piping hot. Had my experience been similar, this would have easily been a 4-star review. All in all, service was warm and professional, and the atmosphere was lovely. With just a few tweaks in consistency and attention to temperature, Tamarind could deliver a truly excellent experience across the board.
Rosie T — Google review
Tamarind delivered exactly what every special occasion calls for, a truly beautiful romantic dinner that transported us back to the golden age of hospitality. This is five-star service the way it used to be, when attention to detail and genuine care were the hallmarks of exceptional dining. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of thoughtful, attentive service that felt both professional and warmly personal. The staff anticipated our needs without being intrusive, delivering quick yet unhurried service that made the entire evening flow seamlessly. The culinary experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish showcased the kitchen’s commitment to excellence, with flavours that were both sophisticated and satisfying. The quality and presentation exceeded our already high expectations. A special mention must go to Melih, the French sommelier, who was an absolute delight throughout the evening. His encyclopedic knowledge of wines, combined with his genuine passion for pairing the perfect selection with our meal, enhanced the entire dining experience. His recommendations were spot-on, and his enthusiasm was infectious, we are very grateful and appreciated that he truly is a world of knowledge wrapped in charming hospitality. Tamarind isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a reminder of what exceptional dining can be when every element comes together perfectly. For anyone seeking that rare combination of romance, impeccable service, outstanding food, and genuine hospitality in Cairns, this is your destination. We’ll absolutely be returning for future celebrations.

Excellent restaurant whether it is the food, the service and the charm of the place. Thanks to Meli our waiter who in addition to being professional and attentive. The dishes are refined and full of flavor. I advise you to take the starter/main course/dessert menu that remains at an honorable prod. It is a perfect place to enjoy a moment with friends or family. I recommend 100%!
Jessica F — Google review
Food was awful tbh service fine the mind boggles how this could be considered best in cairns I assume they’ve lost whatever chefs they once had. To be fair to the waiter he asked me how the food was and I told him the truth. All of the courses were really bad all pre-prepared straight out of the fridge or whatever it did take off the price of the steak which was 50% fat.
IR B — Google review
Absolutely fantastic experience at Tamarind Restaurant. We had the steak and barramundi, with scallops to start—every dish was perfectly cooked, and the sauces complemented each one beautifully. Service was excellent throughout, and the value was outstanding, especially with Accor Plus membership. Highly recommended!

Ochre Restaurant in Cairns offers a contemporary dining experience with a focus on sustainable regional cuisine. The menu features adventurous dishes incorporating native game, herbs, and seafood, showcasing the flavors of the region. The six-course tasting menu is a culinary journey, featuring unique dishes like chargrilled kangaroo sirloin and wallaby topside. Additionally, the restaurant provides a unique breakfast experience with innovative dishes using native Australian ingredients such as smoked barramundi hash and grilled prawn breakfast salad.
First dined at Ochre in 2001 and it just keeps impressing every time. Fantastic service, great “new” (7 years) location and food and wine combinations that are absolutely divine. We had the degustation and could not fault it. The entire experience was awesome from start to finish. Could not recommend highly enough. Favourite place in Cairns by a country mile.
Danielheyburn — Google review
We came for dinner and Kelly our server was fantastic! She was very nice and knowledgeable about every dish, and attentive making sure we always had drinks and checking in about the dishes. The restaurant had an impressive menu comprised of native ingredients which we were excited to try and the menu and our server had lots of great information about each dish. We chose 3 course menu option which allowed us to try a bit of everything. The desserts were excellent and our favorite part of the meal! If you’re feeling adventurous and want to try some unique items like kangaroo, crocodile, and various native plants in a more upscale format I recommend.
Marisa S — Google review
Ochres restaurant was a stunning experience. The service was exceptional, the food exceptional and the ambience top notch. Sitting in a window seat looking out over the Cairns bay and beyond to Mountains has to be one of the most stunning views to eat in front of. I chose the gnocchi with mushrooms which was out of this world. My son chose the sweet potatoe fritters with the Ochre salad. A side of cauliflower and beans were delish. All tastes were fantastic. It was so good we went back the next day for lunch. Totally recommend this restaurant.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable anniversary dinner – 5 stars all the way! We dined at Ochre Restaurant on Thursday evening, 23rd October 2026, to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. We chose the Degustation Menu with wine pairing, and every course was a delicate, delectable showcase of the best local produce Far North Queensland has to offer. Choosing a favourite dish is no easy task—it’s a close call between the scallop, the quail (with its incredible blend of spice and finger lime), the tender beef, and the zesty lemon myrtle tart. After much reflection, I’d have to say the scallop stood out just that little bit more—paired with the Tamburlaine Chardonnay, it was a taste of heaven. Each wine pairing throughout the evening was spot on, enhancing the flavours beautifully. We booked well in advance to secure one of the sought-after boardwalk tables, and were rewarded with a spectacular evening. The view over the Cairns Marina Inlet and across to the stunning mountain range was simply breathtaking, and the warm weather made it feel all the more magical. The service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and highly knowledgeable about both the food and wine. The staff also made thoughtful suggestions around pacing the courses, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy every moment of the evening. Ochre has been a favourite of ours for many years—from family visiting from interstate to hosting our staff Christmas parties—and it never disappoints. But this night, celebrating a special milestone, might just have been the most memorable yet. Ambience, food, wine, service—everything was flawless. A heartfelt thank you to the team at Ochre.

Since we weren't together for our birthdays, we wanted to eat at a more luxurious restaurant to celebrate together. Ochre is the perfect restaurant for this! We went for the six-course dinner including wine and enjoyed every dish with its matching wines. For dessert, we both received a little extra to celebrate our birthdays. Definitely a must-visit if you're in Cairns!
Joelle L — Google review
We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary while visiting the far North Queensland area and decided to do so at Ochre. The food was amazing. We shared Wattle see damper, Tempura gulf bugs and lamb shank, which melted in your mouth and were delicious, followed with Wattle seed pavlova which was also not your normal Pav and was beautiful! Enjoyed lovely wines and excellent service. A very lovely atmosphere looking out at the wharf in the evening. Highly recommend !! If we are lucky enough to come back over here from WA we would definitely eat here again! Very happy with our choice on this visit!

Style Over Substance at a Seafood Spot That Should Shine At a restaurant that bills itself as a seafood destination, I expected freshness and finesse. Unfortunately, the execution fell short. The oyster I began with lacked the brightness and clean flavor one hopes for; instead of setting the tone for the meal, it raised doubts. The main course, fish and chips, was competently fried yet uninspired, the sort of dish you could find at any corner pub, not something that justifies a dedicated seafood kitchen. The service was attentive and the waterfront location undeniably charming, but a restaurant’s reputation rests on the plate. On that front, the experience felt middling, and for the price, disappointing. With more attention to consistency and flavor, this kitchen could live up to its promise. For now, however, it remains a two-star experience.
Le F — Google review
Dining at Ochre was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm, attentive service that set the tone for an unforgettable lunch. We ordered the gnocchi, pork belly, scallops, and duck—each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The scallops were perfectly seared, the pork belly was rich and tender with a delightful crisp, and the duck was cooked to perfection. The gnocchi was a standout—pillowy and delicious, it may be the best I’ve had anywhere. Every bite was a celebration of taste, balance, and thoughtful preparation. The atmosphere at Ochre is equally impressive. Set right on the waterfront, the views are simply gorgeous—an ideal backdrop for a relaxing, refined dining experience. The playlist was well-curated and created a mellow, inviting ambiance that complemented the setting perfectly. We were also thoroughly impressed by the wine list, which showcases some fantastic Australian selections. We chose a Barbera from King Valley, and it was exceptional—fruity, smooth, and a perfect pairing for our meal. Ochre delivered on every level—food, service, atmosphere, and wine. It's easily one of the most memorable and flavourful dining experiences I’ve had, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Dundees on the Waterfront is a locally owned and operated restaurant that has been serving steak, seafood, and Australian sampler plates for over 30 years. The modern Australian menu features tender Australian-bred beef, fresh local seafood, pastas, salads, and house-made desserts. With waterfront views, the restaurant offers a taste of Australia with dishes such as kangaroo, crocodile, and emu. Additionally, they offer a delectable dessert called Magnum Lava.
If you are traveling to Cairns Australia, you must stop by Dundee's restaurant. It's located in a harbor with a great water view. We watched ships passing through. The staff are very efficient and friendly. The food was fantastic! I was traveling with my husband, daughter and son-in-law and we all ordered different and delicious meals. The drinks were spot on for flavor and a great way to start dinner. This meal was by far, the best meal that we had while traveling around Australia. We all loved the country.

Oh my goodness. What an incredible night of food and wine! Magic location, lucky enough to be right on the boardwalk, wine was so good and the food…. OMG! Had a platter entree which was delicious and our mains were unreal. Eye fillet was cooked to perfection and the pasta was Bellissimo! I was so full but had to sneak in a banana fritter with ice cream for desert to finish the night. Yum! The service from the girls was amazing and we even got a friendly visit from the owners Tina and James. Felt right at home and will certainly be back for more!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food was amazing and you can’t find a better view!! We ordered the bug tail spaghettini, a side of garlic shrimp and hop rock marinated kangaroo on a hot volcanic rock. Banana fritters and caramel pecan cheesecake for dessert. We sat outside and watched the boats come and go. Highly recommend!

Great food and lovely atmosphere here at Dundee’s. I had my birthday dinner there on Monday and We sat outside right by the water which I totally recommend. The food was great, so delicious - to start. I had bake lobster tails and my partner had barramundi supreme. Everyone were sooo friendly. Our waitress- Peroline - was so lovely and attentive too, highly recommended. She organised a lovely little crew to sing happy birthday for me with a lovely cheese platters. Felt so special If you want a place to eat or celebrate any events by the marina, definitely come to Dundee’s

I can easily say the food was absolutely phenomenal!! Everything was cooked to perfection completely delicious. Huge thanks to the whole team for making my birthday dinner such a special and unique moment. 100000000% recommended! If you’re in Cairns and want to have a great time with super friendly and attentive staff, good vibes, and amazing food this is the perfect place!

We were lucky to get a table at Dundees on the Waterfront as it was fully booked, but the lovely lady at the front managed to squeeze us in at a small table for two — and we were so grateful she did! We ordered the seafood platter, which was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. To finish, we shared a pavlova that was light, sweet, and the perfect end to a great meal. The restaurant was very busy, so I’d definitely recommend booking ahead — but it’s well worth it for the food, service and atmosphere. Can't wait to come back to Cairns and visit again with a lovely view table this time!

We visited Dundees in Cairns for our anniversary. This is our second time holidaying in Cairns and both times the food has been phenomenal. We had the duck spring rolls, crocodile skewers and the seafood platter for 2 . Desert was banana fritter . What can I say , if I could fly to cairns every month I would eat here . I will be definitely ordering as my last meal ever & I would die a satisfied woman . For our anniversary they put out all the stops a lovely gift and message on our desert , they even offered us blankets when we arrive after be drenched in the rain on the walk to dinner .

Giving it 4 stars only because our table of 9 all felt the food was a little salty. But service was amazing and the staff do go out of their way to accommodate everyone even though it was a really busy Sunday evening. Drinks come out really quickly and the food does take a while but it was a full restaurant and everyone was working at max capacity. Would still recommend this place if you happen to be in the area.

Tha Fish is a casual seafood restaurant located at the picturesque Cairns Marina, offering a delightful dining experience with its airy venue and covered outdoor area. The restaurant takes pride in serving superb seafood dishes that showcase Australia's rich seafood offerings, all while providing breathtaking waterfront views. With options ranging from black mussels in lemongrass broth to crispy barramundi with native greens, every dish is a celebration of fresh flavors.
Overall this place was amazing. We ordered seafood platter for 2. The sauces and flavours are amazing. I’m a fisherman’s daughter so I’m picky with seafood. All the shellfish was overcooked and soft-mushy but…. The flavours were really good so we ate everything. Everything else was really well cooked and enjoyable! Dessert - sticky date and short black was amazing! A very enjoyable experience.

With being in Cairns for only a few days, my partner and I were recommended this restaurant. We booked and were slightly skeptical after reading some of the recent reviews. However, this restaurant had us hook, line and sinker as everything was gorgeous. We were so pleased with everything from the dishes to the staff. Our drinks were never empty as the attentive staff were on top of making sure they stayed full. The food was incredible and was everything we hoped for after booking a fish restaurant on the edge of the water. Would highly recommend.
Franks G — Google review
Hands down, this will always be our favourite restaurant in Cairns. No competition. We’ve been visiting Tha Fish ever since we moved up here nearly 8yrs ago now, and no matter how many other places we try (and trust me, us foodies get around), we always end up back here for our seafood fix. Even our 6yr old has it locked in as his top pick… partly because he’s on a fist bump and first name basis with the crew, partly because the food is always a hit, and of course because he can unleash his inner artist all over the paper table covers while he waits. So where to start… the lunch specials? A dish and a drink for $25… like seriously? In this economy? But this isn’t just a lunch stop. If you want to impress friends or treat yourself to a proper night out, this is the place to do it. The service never skips a beat. The team are friendly, switched on, and somehow manage to appear right when you need them (without the constant “excuse me” wave). Cocktails are next level… if I can’t decide, I just tell the waiter what kind of flavour mood I’m in and like magic, the perfect drink arrives. The beer, wine and spirit list also has a great range for all… but seriously… cocktails! The food is out of this world. I’ve pretty much eaten my way through the entire menu over the years, I just don’t have the photo evidence to prove it without trawling through my embarrassingly long photo reel right now. The bread special is a must, every single time. Even if you think you don’t want bread, trust me, you want bread! Starters are dangerously hard to choose between, my advice is order different dishes and then share. And as for mains, if I’m ever stuck, the Coral Trout #4 is my default favourite. Simple, classic and always bang on. Oh but wait… too full for dessert? That’s not even an option! Engage your dessert stomach and you won’t be disappointed! Again if you’re stuck… go the campfire! And as if all that’s not enough… they’re also absolute legends with dietary stuff. Over the years, we’ve brought friends and family with everything from coeliac to dairy free needs, and the team have always known exactly what’s what. It’s one of those rare places where you can relax and sit back knowing they’ve got it handled safely. Add in chilled vibes, marina views that look like a Cairns tropical postcard, and easy parking… Honestly… what more could you want? Thanks team for yet another unforgettable night with friends! See you all next time!

The team here made all the difference. Best service I’ve had on day 9 of my Australia trip, friendly, efficient, and very attentive. Highly recommend a visit! I enjoyed the fish platter w extras! Oh and the fries were perfectly crisp! Sadly too full for desert but the menu was inviting.

Enjoyed the lunch special here in the weekend. Excellent value and great quality food. Service was also really good. The fish curry was very tasty and a good sized serve, while the flavoursome s&p calamari with chips and salad was both fresh and generous.

Really enjoyed our meal. We tried some bugs as a starter along with the handmade bread. And for dinner, we each had a different fish and they were cooked perfectly. The pudding selection was nice, as was the wine. My favorite restaurant we went to in Cairns.

After finishing a full day fishing charter, we headed to Tha Fish Restaurant to see if they could cook our catch. The team made a seamless walk-in reservation for later that evening, and as someone working in hospitality, I can honestly say every aspect from food quality to customer service, exceeded my expectations. We enjoyed three beautifully prepared courses, and I have to give credit to both the talented chefs and the attentive FOH team for their knowledge and care. Thank you for turning our day into an even more memorable trip in Cairns! 🥰

Incredible food, great service from the waitresses and a lovely atmosphere. We really loved the octopus starter, the oysters, the barramundi main and the crab/prawn Thai curry. The drinks took longer than expected to come after we arrived, which was a bit frustrating. And the own brand house Sauvignon Blanc was a bit pricey at over $50 a bottle (probably a very big markup). It's an expensive restaurant but worth it for a special occasion.

Bayleaf Balinese Restaurant offers a traditional Balinese dining experience in the heart of Cairns, with both indoor and terrace seating. The menu features classic Balinese dishes such as ayam sagur, nasi goreng, and bebek betutu, all crafted with care to evoke the flavors of Bali. The restaurant's tropical decor and garden fire torches create an immersive atmosphere for diners.
Delicious food, I had the grilled fish with a tomatoey, soy sauce and rice and it has to be my favourite meal of my holiday! Absolutely brilliant!! Cocktails were also really good and the staff were amazing, would highly recommend!
Beatons T — Google review
Probably the best Balinese food I’ve had outside of Bali. The flavours were bold, authentic, and well-executed. We especially enjoyed the skewers and pork ribs, which came out on a small grill that kept them hot throughout the meal—a nice touch that added to the experience. The mixed seafood with yellow rice was also a standout, with a great balance of spice and freshness. The only downside was that the grill continued to cook the food as we ate, so by the end of the meal, some items—particularly the skewers—became a bit overcooked and tough. The minced duck parcels and prawn bean salad were just okay. Not bad, but compared to the other dishes, they didn’t stand out and we’d probably skip them next time. Overall, a great spot for Balinese food with some real highlights. Would definitely return for the grilled dishes and seafood

Easily the best Balinese food I’ve had outside of Bali. Everything we had is delicious (we had the chicken skewers, lamb shanks and chicken curry). Huge portions. Lovely staff and atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Tara N — Google review
We popped in on a Friday evening for dinner and immediately liked the decor. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed with the Perkedel Jagung (Corn fritters) which were tasty and had just a hint of chili. Our mains were Massaman Beef (very flavoursome and tender but not too sweet) and Ayam Panggang (twice cooked crispy chicken which arrived over a smoking need of charcoal and was also tasty and tender). All up a lovely meal in delightful surroundings. Cheers and enjoy

We ordered the lamb shank with yellow rice, Mee goreng & mixed skewers. Lamb shank dish wasn’t hot it was warm but still delicious, loved the lamb shank sauce mixed with rice. Portion is quite big for 1 person. We enjoyed it so much 💕✨ Only 4 star rating as some of the mixed skewers came out cold

Vitalia's Italian Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its house-made gnocchi, prosciutto di Parma, creamy burrata, and authentic Neapolitan pizza. Its waterfront location at Holloways Beach provides a charming setting to savor an aperitivo while enjoying the sea breeze. The restaurant also boasts a glamorous view of the Cairns Marina. Guests can indulge in classic Italian dishes such as Bufalina D.O.
We are from Sydney here for an 8 night holiday and tried Vitalia. Spoilt for choice in Sydney and being of Italian heritage it’s sometimes hard to please such, but wow we were impressed. Aranchini were perfect and the pizza equally amazing . Infact pizza we had in Napoli a year ago when we were in Italy was the best and this is just as good. An awesome pizza experience and recommended to all. If I lived here , it would be my regular pizza place . Great location on the wharf with great outside seating with views of the marina. We have one night left, and will be back to try the pasta, coz it looked amazing !

We had a pleasant time celebrating our anniversary dinner at Vitalia! It was pretty packed for a Thursday night so we’re fortunate to have reservations. Our waitress, Camila made our experience enjoyable! She advised us on which cocktail is better and which pasta has more flavour to it. Very knowledgeable with the menu. Very cheerful and friendly! We had the Bruscofocaccia, which was so fresh and had mix of sour from the tomatoes and the crispiness of the ciabatta. We also had the Eggplant parmi and Pappardele (Camila advised us on getting the pappardele). Both of them are beautiful! The eggplant was cooked to perfection, so soft and tender and we can definitely taste the lamb ragú, very generous with the lamb ragú too! Wished we had space for desert but I’m sure they taste just as amazing!

This place is outstanding! Great vibrant atmosphere, welcoming staff and exceptionally freshly cooked food. These guys certainly didn't lack in service either, it was exceptional! Maybe we got them on a good day? Or maybe this is how they always are and I'm certainly sticking with the latter! I couldn't imagine these guys would vary much from our experience today and will certainly be back to experience more of this delightfully cooked food. Thank you

What a great experience we had here! To start with, our waiter was super nice! To start we had the bruschetta, which I think was the less surprising of our dinner - the tomato was good, but the bread could be a little better. But the stars were the pizzas! Real napolitan style pizzas, with amazing dough and flavourful ingredients. I had the ‘il padrino’ - incredible! And my friend the four cheese and truffle with sausage. To finish, the tiramisú was good.

Terrible service... the waitress forgot our order... first they forgot to bring the beer. It took them 40minutes to bring the pizza ... but it was not what we had ordered and we had to return it... Finally they served a pizza that was mostly burnt... the restaurant was not even busy... so, not sure where these stars and good reviews are coming from...

Jun-25: still amazing two years later, so good we are planning to come back tomorrow night. The burrata is still excellent and the fruitti de mare pizza is better than I remembered. We loved our pasta main, and were stunned by the amaretto tiramisu! Lovely wines and tried a nice soave from Venice. We went back a second time, got the burratta and fruitti de mare pizza again (as well as the same wines), we also ordered the lasagne and it was the fluffiest and lightest lasagne I have ever eaten, it was quite amazing how light it tasted yet so full of flavour. Jun-23: Wow the food was divine. The burrata and truffle entree was fresh and moreish, the coral fish croquettes were perfectly balanced and did not taste fishy or oily at all. The seafood pizza was one of the best I ever had, gorgeous Sugo, nice crust and Napoli style. The beetroot gnocchi was unique and full of mushroom flavour. The lemoncello spritz was my favourite cocktail, and the negroni was good too. Loved the Pinot Grigio from Italy.

Very good environment and great pizzas. I hadn’t had a good pizza since I arrived in Australia before these ones. Really happy of how the evening went. We ordered the vegetariana, il padrino and bufalina. The first two were delicious, the last it was good but wasn’t as tasty.

Bellocale Italian Seafood Restaurant is a modern and lively venue in Cairns, offering traditional pasta, seafood, and other main dishes. It stands out among the best restaurants in the area for its focus on fresh, local ingredients and its fusion of Italian and Australian cuisine. Alongside other top Italian dining spots in Cairns, Bellocale is renowned for its delectable seafood offerings. The restaurant provides a contemporary dining experience with a strong emphasis on quality and flavor.
We came for dinner and it was great! If the website says there are no more reservations, go anyway. The system glitches and the staff was super nice about it. The food is all locally sourced and the emphasis on seafood was noted. They had plenty of local seafood options, I would definitely come back.

A short walk from the esplanade to this busy little Italian restaurant that will not disappoint! Our party of 3 was well looked after and served exceptional food with a smile. I had the ravioli, which was the best I've had. The risotto and linguine were also brilliant, as was the crumble we shared for desert. A must visit in Cairns.

Lovely owners with passion and heart put into the food which makes itself know in the array of care in service and flavours in the food!! Thanks again Bellocale for a magical evening from a local foodie couple❤️

Hands down the best Italian in Cairns, and I don’t think it’s too much to say that it would be one of the best Italian restaurants in all of Australia. The linguine e gamberoni is the best I’ve ever had, and the veal scallopine which we had last time was equally sensational

Dinner with friends, we all had a wonderful time. The service was great and the food delicious. The only comments from the table were there could have been a bit more prosciutto with the Insalata Caprese and the Seafood Ravioli tasted much better than it looked on the plate. Overall though, 4 very satisfied customers who would definitely return.

Salt house was in a great location. Smart and sophisticated. The service was exceptional and the food delish. We loved the entrees mushroom tart, olives that were so juicy, watermelon salad ( divine). The vegan paella was very generous. The fish my son had was delish. Thanks so much Salt house xx

Nice seafront view. Well-spaced seatings. Seafood are fresh and food is well-seasoned. Nice variety of options in the menu. Service can be better. I ordered coffee after my meal and the staff seems to have forgotten so I had to remind them. Coffee was not good, better get somewhere else.

The food was delicious; you can tell they use top-quality ingredients. The ceviche was amazing and the wagyu skewers were really good. However, the sashimi and the beef tataki seemed a bit overcooked to me. The king prawns were flavourless and ultra hot. My overall opinion is that they put a lot of effort into making everything so ostentatious, when I strongly believe sometimes less is more. Not to mention the high prices considering the tiny portions. Service was really good, it just seemed a bit strange they don't leave the wine bottle and water bottle at the table.

Salt House was the perfect ending to our holiday in Cairns and an amazing spot to celebrate my partner’s birthday. The atmosphere is just beautiful — relaxed yet refined, with the perfect vibe for a special evening. Our server, Marcus, was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly looked after. The food was incredible from start to finish. We started with the ceviche and beef skewers — both bursting with flavour — and then shared the 1.0 kg steak cooked perfectly to medium (exactly how we like it!). Every bite was spot on. Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than planned and missed out on dessert, which we were really sad about — but that just gives us a reason to come back! Overall, Salt House exceeded our expectations. The pricing felt fair for a fine dining restaurant of this quality. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Cairns — especially for a special occasion.

We spent an afternoon lounging here, and then had dinner. There is loads of space and we found a comfortable spot to drink cocktails, read a book, talk, look at people. We really enjoyed the big seafood platter. In the past we've found these can have too much fried food, but this was a good mixture of warm and cold and different cooking methods. Good wines as well. Staff all friendly.

We met up with friends who are locals here. We got a very nice sunset view when we arrived. It seem pretty busy but we had a reservation so we got seated right away. This place is big! I like the vibes. It’s modern, fun and on the water. We were sure what to order so we ordered seven appetizers for four of us to share. It was the right amount of food. We had Reef Fish Ceviche, Fried Calamari, Mooloolaba Tuna, Beef Tataki, wood-fired sardines, Queensland scallops and prawns. I liked everything except sardines. There’s tingling numbing after taste. We asked the chef about it but they couldn’t pinpoint what ingredient would give you that numbing taste. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Overall, my first visit was pleasant.

We came for dinner and had an excellent time! Our server was lovely and the cocktails were very good. We enjoyed the tuna as an appetizer, and for mains the whole fish was good. The portions are quite large (which our server thankfully let us know before we ordered) so I recommend sharing! The overall atmosphere was nice, it is definitely on the fancier side and you do have a nice view of the harbor. In the evening they play music which can be loud but overall we had a great time!

We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at Waterbar & Grill Steakhouse in Cairns and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the team greeted us with warm congratulations and genuine excitement, which instantly made the evening feel very special. We were seated at a beautiful table overlooking the glistening water and boats, setting the scene for a truly romantic night. Several of the staff knew it was our anniversary and their attention and friendliness made us feel so welcomed and appreciated. The food was exceptional — I ordered the espetada, which was cooked to perfection and incredibly tender, while my husband said his Rib eye steak was one of the best he’s ever had, especially with the chilli sauce, which was outstanding. We even got to take home some complimentary sauces! The dessert presentation, complete with sparkles and a “Happy Anniversary” sign, was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. We left feeling very loved-up and grateful — it was the perfect way to end our special day. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful meal with outstanding service and atmosphere!

The dining area consists of repurposed trawlers, adding a charming touch to the no-frills dining experience. Located at Marlin Marina in Cairns, this unique restaurant attracts a constant crowd eager to sample and purchase delicious seafood bounty.
Great atmosphere and good fun. Menu was small just prawns, bugs and oysters. Drink list also small. $130 seafood platter is good for 2-3 person. All the seafood was very fresh and yummy. If they could just provide some hot dishes like pastas. It would have been perfect.
FS — Google review
What a great restaurant. It's actually hard to call it that because it's composed of three boats but it's a perfect venue for eating seafood. The marina setting was lovely, especially as the sun started to set. We sat at a communal table as the hostess we spoke to was able to fit us in there given we had no reservation, but more private options are available. I would suggest that a booking is fairly vital. One of the boats houses the open kitchen and I always like to see open kitchens. The staff were lovely and looked after us well. The seafood was absolutely stellar! We had the jumbo platter and it was excellent and great value. Fresh oysters, prawns, bugs and salmon, what could be better? While there we spoke to a couple of locals who were eating there and they all agreed it was the best local seafood. There's nothing like a local recommendation... Well be back in Cairns soon and I think we'll be visiting again before we leave. Cheers and enjoy
Brent H — Google review
Great spot for fish lovers! For a food chain, this place is really good! We got the platter for two to share — the oysters were fine, nothing special, but the shrimps were really good. The portions were generous and the price was quite fair, especially considering you’re eating fresh seafood. Highly recommended if you’re around Cairns and not sure where to go for fish.
Tommaso B — Google review
Ordered the smaller seafood platter for 2. The oysters and sashimi are fresh. The prawns seem like mixed with some smaller prawns and medium size prawns. Would have been better if they are all tiger prawns. Overall is nice and ambience is good. The staff are really friendly and cheerful. A good experience if you are in Cairns and this is also the only such restaurant operating in the boats. Recommended 😊
Wendy C — Google review
I didn’t eat here but am reviewing them because these little boats are very darling and I wanted to give them a shout out for being accommodating. I’m solo in Cairns and they were welcoming and offered to tailor their platters which are set for two, for me. Their willingness to adapt their menu was refreshing!
Paulina C — Google review
We shared a plate of bugs and a plate of mixed prawns between 2. Each plate had 800g. The bugs were generally good. Some of them were a little soggy. The prawns were below par. A bit smelly and very soft. A lady next to us had tiger prawns and they looked better. The seafood cocktail sauce was very nice though and the boat concept is great. You sit at a communal table and it encourages people to chat to strangers which was a nice change.
Daniel J — Google review
Fresh seafood (so so fresh), amazing mango frozen daiquiri, the music choice is excellent makes you feel like you re in a movie scene and just dining on a boat makes it an amazing experience. 100% recommend.

Ganbaranba is a bustling and compact restaurant located in the heart of Cairns City, known for serving traditional ramen soups and gyoza in a casual setting. The tiny diner on Spence Street often has long lines, but the wait is worth it for their flavorful slow-cooked broth and customizable noodles. Guests can enjoy unlimited house-made iced tea with their meal, making it a great value.
Having been a regular patron of this restaurant for several years, I continue to be impressed by the consistency of its service and quality. The owner remains as friendly and attentive as ever, always ensuring guests feel warmly welcomed and well taken care of. During my recent visit, I had the ramen and the Z-Don, both of which were beautifully presented and rich in flavor. The ramen had a well-balanced broth with tender noodles and fresh toppings, while the Z-Don was artfully arranged, with each element thoughtfully prepared to enhance the overall dish. The atmosphere of the restaurant remains inviting and comfortable, making it a great spot for both casual meals and more special occasions. The staff are efficient and courteous, contributing to a relaxed and pleasant dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic, delicious food served with genuine hospitality.

A delightful easy going ramen restaurant, hard to find anything better in Cairns, loved the flavour of the ramen broth and opted for firm noodles, the gyoza was juicy and tasty but needed more texture! Service was prompt and efficient too!
A L — Google review
We came here in the evening and it seems to be a popular restaurant in this location. When we entered we were the first in queue as it was full. Though it seems like there was clearly not enough staff. There were multiple tables empty waiting to be cleaned, but they had nobody to do so, so we waited more than 15 minutes even though there were tables empty. The ramen itself, it was definitely not our cup of tea. The soup was not tasty at all, very oily.

Tried out more than 10 types of ramen at Ganbaranba over the past couple of months, and it has never failed me. I like all of them, especially IKEMEN, MUGEN, ZOROME, and GYOZA (pork dumplings). I always finished the broth too! Gonna miss the friendly people here, Ganbaranba treated me to a farewell drink as they knew I would be leaving soon. I will come back again when I’m in Cairns!

Best ramen in Cairns without a doubt. I ordered number 8 with a side of gyoza, it was delicious. The chilli oil was such a tasty finish. Love the complimentary iced tea too!

This looks like a real authentic japanese ramen place. I ordered the japanese spicy one and really liked it. We tried the gyoza and they were good too. We tried 4 different ramens, see in photo but its number 1, 3, 13 ramen 5 i think was the premium one.

Saw some bad reviews about the soup but decided to patronize anyway. We ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which had no hint of tonkotsu flavor at all. Instant ramen has better soup. 😅 the pork was also pretty tough, although the gyoza was nice! Suggest to try somewhere else if you’d like to have some ramen.

The Paneer Tikka Masala had a decent flavor, though it lacked a bit of the richness and depth we were expecting. The portion size was satisfactory. The Daal Tadka was comforting and well-cooked, though not particularly extraordinary. The Lahsooni Naan and Cheese & Garlic Naan were soft and flavorful, pairing well with the gravies. The Onion Laccha Salad was fresh, adding a crunchy and tangy element to our meal. The Mango Lassi was refreshing, thick, and well-balanced in sweetness. The Masala Soda was a good addition, though nothing out of the ordinary. Value for Money While the food quality was decent, we found the prices to be on the higher side. However, given the restaurant’s central location, this was understandable. The portion sizes were reasonable, and we didn’t feel shortchanged, but the price-to-taste ratio could have been slightly better. Overall Experience The restaurant provided a pleasant dining experience with good service and a comfortable ambiance. The food was decent—not outstanding, but certainly enjoyable. If you’re in Cairns and craving Indian food, this place is a viable option, though it might not leave you completely amazed. The warmth of the staff and the inviting atmosphere made up for any minor shortcomings in the food.

Delicious food, beautiful views & great service! We had a fantastic dinner here. The service was warm & efficient, and our food arrived quickly. We went with friends and shared three different curries, rice, & a selection of sides — everything was packed with flavour & perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was relaxed with lovely views over the water, which made it even more enjoyable. Highly recommend if you're in Cairns & craving great Indian food!

We went to Marinades Indian Restaurant in Cairns for my birthday and were so disappointed. For starters, we ordered paneer tikka — it was bland and flavourless, with no seasoning at all. We had to ask for salt, pepper, and chutneys just to make it edible. For the mains, we requested medium spice, but both dishes came out way too salty: the dal makhani tasted as if extra salt was sprinkled over the top, and the malai kofta was the same. The onion salad was inedible — the onions were so bitter they made our eyes water. Dessert was a complete letdown. We ordered pista kulfi expecting a creamy, authentic kulfi, but they served us a store-bought block straight out of a box (we could see the packaging). It had an overpowering fake scent and artificial taste; we barely touched it. To make matters worse, their outdoor fans weren’t working — not great when it’s already hot and humid heading into summer in Cairns. Service was inconsistent: the Australian waitress was genuinely warm and attentive, but the Indian waitress seemed uninterested and rude, with an unfriendly expression throughout. We spent almost $50 per person for food and service that didn’t come close to expectations, especially disappointing for a birthday meal we’d looked forward to. Sadly, we won’t be returning or recommending this place.

This is a beautiful restaurant by the pier in Cairns, run by a family. In Cairns we had our first dinner here and couldn't resist and ended up going twice. Chicken biryani was surprisingly good and so was Goat Rogan Josh, Onion bhaji and Keema Naan. Great service and atmosphere. Must visit if you visiting Cairns and carving for Indian food.

Excellent food and customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed the family night out. Delicious traditional Indian cuisine. Highly recommend the Marinades Restaurant at the Esplanade in Cairns.
Hazel A — Google review
We had dinner at Marinades, located right on the pier near the Cairns ferry/cruise terminal — a beautiful stretch lined with waterfront restaurants. The location is perfect, especially if you’re catching a ferry or just want to dine with views of the boats and water. They have both indoor and outdoor seating; we sat outside, and with a light layer, it was just right even on a breezy winter evening. The name Marinades is clever, and it’s great to see Indian cuisine represented in such a prime location. The restaurant was previously owned by a Marathi couple and is now run by a Punjabi entrepreneur. We ordered the masala soda (a nostalgic treat — so good!), bhindi masala, and rajma, along with one roti and one lacha paratha. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The only thing we would have done differently: we asked for medium spice, but it turned out hotter than expected. If you’re someone who likes to really taste the vegetables (especially something like bhindi), we’d recommend going for mild spice — you can always add more heat, but you can’t take it out. Service was friendly, the ambiance was relaxed, and overall it was a lovely experience. We ended the evening with ice cream (from another location) just to cool down from the spice — a reminder for next time to start mild! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for good Indian food in a scenic, easy-to-reach part of Cairns.

Went here as a walk in as we were passing and had a really great experience. We sat outside and had starters, with a view of the marina. The onion bhaji and samosas were great. I had the chicken vindaloo and my friend had the chicken madras. The vindaloo was really good, and the madras the same. Not enough sauce in my opinion on either but the flavours were lovely and decent portions too. Service was really friendly and very efficient . Martina made us feel very welcome, and was there when we needed help. Definitely would return and worth a visit if you are in the area

The food was so delicious, best North Indian food in cairns . I have t had this delicious and authentic food even in Melbourne too. The owner was super friendly and reminded me of home :) . We loved the food so much that forgot to take a pic of it !! Hence the empty table photo to sum up our experience. We had goat biryani (mild spice ) Keema and cheese naan, chilli naan (must try) , chicken Sagwala and rice. Enough for 5 ppl lunch :) and all of this for under $100! Would highly recommend visiting Indian Brothers for lunch if you like a taste of India :)

We had mix veg paratha with curd and chhole — truly authentic North Indian taste! Great food and warm hospitality. If you’re in Cairns and looking for delicious, spicy North Indian cuisine, this is a must-visit place. The owners even treated us to complimentary gulab jamuns for dessert — absolutely mouth-watering! Truly felt like a taste of India in Cairns
Mahek S — Google review
Got takeaway and as a local, honestly the worst food we have ever ordered from anywhere. We got three different curries, naan breads and coconut rice.. the rice was literally a container of desicated coconut and raisins. There was a small shrimp in the chicken tikka and the vegetarian palak paneer which is made with spinach.. was so brown we thought it was vindaloo or something else. The paneer cheese was not cooked and was very hard and chewy as well.. we opened the naan breads and it was nowhere near what a naan is. It was almost like crepes or a thin pancake batter.. absolutely do not trust these reviews as we did!! Will definitely not be back. We ended up having to throw most of it, which is the first time we have ever done that.

The food had a bad taste and lacked basic hygiene standards. I had to wait over 5 minutes just to place my order, despite the place being completely empty. Most of the tables were dirty, and to my shock, the foodwas kept in a container placed directly on the floor. The whole setup felt unhygienic and off-putting.
Devjeet S — Google review
The best food I’ve had in all of Australia! It honestly felt like I was eating a home-cooked meal. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The paneer was absolutely delicious, with a rich, flavorful gravy and generous portions. Truly a perfect dining experience!

(Order chole bhature) As hungry tourists we were searching for soulful food. We came across Indian brothers restaurant on our google search. Husband and I ordered chole bhature and mango lassi. Chole bhature were soo good !! and mango lassi very refreshing. Restaurant people are very friendly and atmosphere of restaurant delightful. Owners were very kind to offer us tea as well on our return. Overall I recommend to people to try out dishes at this restaurant!

The food here was amazing and full of flavour, with clean cutlery, a great atmosphere, free water, and they were very kid-friendly. Service was fast and they easily handled our table of 12. On the downside, the menus were dusty, staff didn’t seem very hygienic, and the prices felt too high.

Had a wonderful dinner at this place! Everything was very delicious and I loved all the dishes we ordered. Although I was skeptical of the egg fried rice at first, however it was actually quite delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The fried chicken as part of the dish was also cooked to perfection. We also ordered several fish dishes which were very fresh and yummy. I also liked the cauliflower dish, something about the sesame sauce just made the dish really stand out. Overall, this place was quite good and I highly recommend it.

I had such a great experience here. The coffee was excellent, smooth and well-made. I tried the limited edition Smashed Pork from the breakfast menu and it was absolutely delicious. The house-made muffin was another highlight, huge, fresh, and seriously one of the best I’ve had. Everything from the food to the service was spot on. Definitely worth coming back for.
Michelle T — Google review
By far the best avocado toast I have ever had. The portion was big but I never got bored because the way it is plated you can clearly create four distinct flavor profiles on the same dish. The chili is plated open on the side, there is a lemon wedge, and sweet balsamic. The seeded bread and added seeds was amazing. Topped with caramelized onions and cherry tomatoes and herbs with a touch of what appeared to be yogurt. I added the halloumi for saltiness. What is amazing is that you were in control of everything. Wife enjoyed the prawn toast that was also great. We enjoyed the acai and the mango-coconut smoothies too. Service was superb. Great way to end our Cairns visit. Place is walking distance from Botanical Gardens and near airport. Highly recommend you stop here.

Terrible. Place has gone downhill greatly in the past 18 months since last eating here, should of checked the reviews before ordering. The butter chicken was filled with gristle and had no taste, rice was over cooked and crunchy. Garlic cheese naan was edible but seems a bit undercooked. $51 is well overpriced for what they offer. Sad to see it go downhill, maybe new owners or staff.

Little Ricardo's is a traditional Italian pizzeria in Cairns with a relaxed private setting and wide choice of pasta and meat dishes, seafood and sides to complement. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere and great service.
THE BEST SEAFOOD PIZZA I'VE EVER HAD. The size of the prawns, scallops and fresh squid for starters is very generous. They have been cooked to perfect texture and it amazes me how they achieved this especially on a pizza. The juice leaking out of the pizza indicates it's freshness. All of this with fresh parsley and other herbs. I'm just in awe of their quality of ingredients. Instead of rubbery calamari rings it's fresh cut squid. This puts the 5 star restaurants on the Esplanade to shame. Do not leave Cairns without trying this local favourite. Thank you so much Little Ricardo's!

Very friendly and attentive staff, who strive to fulfil all your special requests. The Pasta alla Panna was simple but tasty how one would expect it to be. We enjoyed our Italia Salad. The Pizza Capricciosa was overpowered by sugar and ham. The veal section of the menu looked very tempting but we left that for another time.

The food was fresh and delicious. I am eager to go back and try more. I enjoyed the decor it cozy and romantic. I do have to say though- For a cheap bottle of wine you can get from a bottle shop for $4 it was a serious mark up in price but I understand the reason.

This is the best Thai restaurant in Cairns! The food is awesome and the owner Joel is a lovely man. Staff are prompt and polite. Love this place.
Rob P — Google review
Ordered take out of Pad Thai and rice rolls. Pad thai tasted good, however I was very disappointed in the rice rolls. First off, they completely fell apart upon the first bite. Secondly, they had said something about being short on prawns and I couldn't understan what was said, thus no prawns in rice rolls. They charged me for full price without prawns in them, which was super disappointing. Two items came to $36!

We like Thai food and this is the best in a long time. Very tasty meats, sauces light, vegetables fresh without being over cooked, fine sized portions and at a reasonable price. Off the tourist trail and from what I saw a lot of local customers. Not white linen table cloths and silver spoon service but friendly staff and great food. Family of 6, 11-16yrs and all loved it.

Went as a walk in just for drinks. Asked for outside seating and was shown to a bench on the far right of the balcony. It was in pitch darkness, no lighting/table candle, no view and dismal overall (see picture, it looks better in the picture due to my camera being reasonable and improving the lighting). We went inside and sat at the bar instead as the corner bench was like a joke, or somewhere the staff sit to have a rest away from sight of the patrons. Honestly, the server would have been better to say all outside seating was booked and seat us inside. The place as a whole is beautifully fitted out, nice views from the outdoor high tables and has a nice buzz inside. I would have liked to try food but didn't Service was okay but we were off to a bad start with the first seating offered. We had bar service and that was efficient and semi friendly. It was bar service though, so fine. When it came time to pay, the payment system has tipping options pre set and start at 30% down to no tip at the very bottom. Bit steep in my experience and not the norm in Australia. I wouldn't recommend Rocco based on my experience, but I'm sure it'll be kept busy with tourists and couples looking for a romantic night .

Rocco was such a pleasant surprise. Was walking on the esplanade and noticed the building and decided to go in. Coming out of the lift are first presented with the exquisite atmosphere and we are guided to our table by the very nice host. The light up menus are such a nice touch. We were seated at a high table but the chairs were so comfortable. Alejandra was our waitress and she did an amazing job guiding us through the night and helping us with our cocktail choices. The food is great quality-price and the Lalla cocktail is a new favourite. All the front of house staff was very welcoming but I have to give a special thanks to Alejandra for her exceptional service. Will definitely visit again when back in Cairns in the future
Joana S — Google review
Able to get the balcony seat for a darkened view of the ocean which was accompanied by grim service. Had to serve my own water twice and cancel the order of food when it took over an hour to reach our table. When we told the service staff we wanted to cancel our food order, we were told “it’s at the pass now.” This was a lie. We waited and no food came. We were waiting for the option for feedback but was met with typical backpacker service from the staff. Go elsewhere.
Dr D — Google review
We so enjoyed Rocco’s, every night of our stay had a pre-dinner cocktail and enjoyed the view before heading out for dinner. On our last night, we had dinner here as well. It was great. We were celebrating our anniversary and they brought us a desert. Everyone who took care of us was so friendly, Pietro, Sasha & Lucia!
Mary H — Google review
First of all, contacting them via was annoying as it goes to voice mail and no one responds to voice message. The ambience in the restaurant is pretty good but the food is okay. I would not visit for drinks and view but not food next time. When they asked the occasion multiple times, I was assuming there would be something from the restaurant after spending $$$ there but all I got was farewell saying Happy Birthday. However, customer service was good.
Sambhabtravels — Google review
We had a wonderful evening at Rocco - the food was amazing (the warm pita bread makes any of the dips even better, and the saffron rice was just incredible!), the cocktails were great creations, the view was of course stunning and our waitress was just the best! Alejandra made sure that we weren’t missing anything, that we enjoyed our evening (so did her manager but we didn’t get his name) and her charming character made the overall experience even better!

We came just for drinks and snacks before dinner, and we had a lovely time at Rocco. The service was great, Pedro helped us choosing our wine and dip so we ended up with a Pinot Gris and the homemade hummus and pita bread : 10/10 The vibe is good, intimate, not noisy at all. The place is quite small but it feels very easy to have a private moment with whoever you bring there. Thank you for having us

The food is so good that I often forget to pay attention to the atmosphere. I have been eating here for about seven years and have always loved the service. The food is consistently amazing, and I will continue to come back. They offer great vegan options, and I just can't get enough. I never leave hungry; there's always more than enough food, which says a lot since I'm a big eater.

We had been recommended to try Samgasat. We were disappointed. Whilst the place and the service were excellent, the food was disappointing. The aroma and fragrance of Thai cooking was missing as was the lush flavours. The beef ribs were tender but looked like there was something missing on the plate the way it was served. The roast duck was nice but the sauce it was in was bland and flavourless. The jasmine rice was almost gluggy. We actually thought the mixed entree was store bought which was disappointing. There are great Thai restaurants around Cairns but I'm not sure this is one of them.

Fine conveyor belt sushi restaurant but the sushi wasn't the best to be honest. Some options were good, but many were just not it. I had a good dinner, but I expected better with such good reviews.
