Tagore Hill is a picturesque hilltop in Ranchi, offering serene walks, picnics, and breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Situated at an altitude of 2140 feet above sea level, it's a popular health and holiday retreat with significant cultural and religious importance. The hill is home to the Shiva Temple and is associated with revered pilgrimage during Shravanmas.
I was also under the impression that Tagore hill is named after Ravindranath Tagore but no it’s named after Jyotirindranath Tagore. You can read about the same in one of the images posted. This place is beautiful, you can come here to relax.
Manish S — Google review
A very calming.... Relaxing.... Place.... Going here feel like you are getting freedom from all the anxiety mental tension........ A very comforting vibes of the place....... Specifically for the fitness freak person.... And the some type place where you can do yoga.. Exercise peaceful place
Nazia P — Google review
Beautiful spot with amazing views and a peaceful vibe perfect for morning walks or just relaxing away from the city. The hill offers a refreshing escape and some great photo opportunities. However, the infrastructure could use some improvement, and safety is a concern in certain areas, especially near edges and steep paths. With a little more maintenance and security, this place could easily be a full 5-star experience.
Siddhesh K — Google review
The name Tagore comes from " Tagore Family of Kolkata. From here you will enjoy the view Of Ranchi city. But the place is not clean, you don't need any ticket to visit here. Probably this is one of the best place for spending quality time with your favourite one at the afternoon. The authority should clean this place regularly.
Tanmoy D — Google review
I am glad that I visit such beautiful place but why I give 3 star because of hygiene environment cleaniness if govt person watching the rating I am attaching some photos please make it clean and make ur city beautiful rest of things u can see ur self by visiting
Poonam S — Google review
Too dirty fr but scenery is nice, ngl people are doing real bad stuff in the coroners, stay away from it I'd say. (No ticket needed+20rs parking charge)
Aditya K — Google review
This is where Jatindranath Tagore (Rabindranath Tagore's elder brother) stayed after his wife expired. Rabindranath Tagore used to come here to stay here as well. There are a lot of stairs you need to climb so its not suitable for elderly person. It gives a panoramic view of the city. It is located in quite an uptown place in Ranchi. Its a must visit place. The stairs to the hill top are not in good condition and needs maintenance.

Ranchi Lake, situated at an elevation of 2140 feet above sea level, is a man-made city lake built in 1842 by Colonel Onsley. It features a towering statue of Swami Vivekananda and is surrounded by lush greenery, making it an ideal spot for a romantic picnic. The picturesque setting at the base of Ranchi hills offers boating facilities and the opportunity to observe various bird species.
Good for walking at morning or evening, nature's aesthetic is unmatched
Aditya — Google review
It is a very good place, it is in the middle of the city. It is in the middle of the city and there is a great place to work around the lake and in the middle of the lake, a statue of AK Swami Vivekananda has been built which is very beautiful to see.
Suraj O — Google review
Lake is filthy as the sewer is draining inside it. In evening time it is spot of chhapris passing their time. Nothing much to see. Only go if you have nowhere else to go.
Kshitij S — Google review
I was there in one evening. The place is good, but can be best. No ticket is required. And open for 24 hrs. I have seen some day pictures before I went there. But I think evening is the better time to go there. If you will go there by car, lots of free parking place beside the lake.
Sayantan S — Google review
Ranchi Lake is a nice, central spot for a relaxed outing, especially in the evening. Located at the base of Ranchi Hill, it's known for its peaceful atmosphere and the large statue of Swami Vivekananda in the middle of the water. You can enjoy a leisurely boat ride or just take a walk along the perimeter. The view of the sunset is particularly beautiful from here, and the lights reflecting on the water at night are a nice sight. It can get a little crowded, and some visitors mention that the cleanliness could be improved. However, it's a popular and easily accessible place for locals and tourists to unwind and escape the city's noise. The area also has food stalls and places to sit, making it a decent spot for a casual visit.
Aryan — Google review
Ranchi Lake is a peaceful and scenic place, perfect for evening walks or a short boat ride. The Swami Vivekananda statue and the view of Ranchi Hill make it even more charming. It’s well-located and free to visit. Just a small suggestion: A bit more attention to cleanliness and maintenance would make the experience even better.
Abhay P — Google review
Ranchi Lake is one of the favorite hangout spots for locals. Many people from nearby areas come here in the morning for walks or in the evening to relax by the water. Boating is also available and kids enjoy it a lot. The cool breeze and peaceful view make it a nice place to spend time with family and friends. On weekends it gets a bit crowded, but the atmosphere is still enjoyable. It’s a simple yet special place for people living in Ranchi to refresh their mind.
Rohit V — Google review
Located at the base of the majestic Ranchi hill, this lake was constructed in the year 1842 by a British National Colonel Onsely. It is centrally located and has boating facilities. Being well-maintained by the authorities, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed evening and is ideal for picnics. The Ranchi hill itself is a popular tourist destination, it also has a Shiv Mandir at its top and one can get a panoramic view of the entire city from there.

It's a nice place with majestic spiritual essence. Located at a distance of 4.5-5kms from Ranchi Railway Station. A Temple of Lord Shiva at the top of the Hill, also known as Pahari Baba. There are several steps to reach to the top. It's easy for young ones but tough for the elder peoples to go there. You can have a scenic view of the Town Ranchi from the top of the hill. Please do visit.

Pahari Mandir offers a meaningful blend of spiritual reverence, historical importance, and scenic beauty. The ascent might be challenging for some, but the view—and the atmosphere—make it worth the effort. Just be aware of limited amenities at the top and consider visiting off-peak hours for a more relaxed experience.

Pratik B — Google review
Visited Kanke Dam during my bike ride through Ranchi, and it instantly became one of those peaceful places you remember long after leaving. The calm water reflecting the orange evening sky, the distant hum of the city fading away — it’s where Ranchi feels truly alive yet completely still. The road leading to the dam is smooth and scenic, with small local tea stalls along the way. I crashed at my friend’s place just beside kanke dam and just watched the sunset paint everything gold. The crowd is mixed — couples, locals on evening walks, and travellers looking for quiet corners. What makes Kanke Dam special is its simplicity — no flashy decorations, just raw, natural beauty. You’ll often see ducks gliding across the water and kids cycling near the edge. It’s a great spot for photography, calm reflection, or just unwinding after a long day. Tips: – Best time: Early morning or evening for soft light and cool breeze – Carry snacks if you plan to sit longer; limited stalls nearby – Respect the silence — it’s part of the charm 🌤️

Nestled amidst the verdant embrace of Ranchi's countryside, Kanke Dam emerges as a serene sanctuary, beckoning travelers to bask in the tranquil ambiance of its scenic splendor. Enveloped by lush foliage and cradled by rolling hills, the dam's expansive reservoir mirrors the ethereal hues of the azure sky, creating a mesmerizing tableau that enchants the senses. Here, amidst the symphony of nature, visitors find solace in the gentle lapping of water against the dam's shores and the rustle of leaves in the breeze. Boating enthusiasts can embark on leisurely voyages across the placid waters, while leisure seekers find sanctuary upon the dam's banks, where sprawling lawns invite languid picnics and contemplative strolls. However, despite its natural allure, Kanke Dam grapples with the challenge of inadequate facilities, including limited seating and restroom amenities, which may detract from the overall visitor experience. Moreover, the absence of diversified recreational offerings might leave some yearning for more engagement opportunities. Nonetheless, Kanke Dam stands as an emblem of tranquility and natural grandeur, inviting travelers to immerse themselves in the timeless charm of Ranchi's hinterland.

Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park, located in the heart of Ranchi, Jharkhand, is a sprawling 104-hectare zoo that beautifully integrates wildlife with its natural forested terrain. This park stands out as one of India's most popular zoos due to its stunning landscapes and diverse animal inhabitants. The gentle undulations of the land combined with lush greenery and ample water sources create an ideal habitat for various species to thrive comfortably.
It was a good experience with my kid and family. The walk was quite long nonetheless. This is mostly because we missed to hire a buggy at the entrance (highly recommended if you are with kids and elderly). The park is very neat and clean other than the usual animal smell nothing else. Considering the weather and heat, we felt The Black Bear was more welcoming than others 🤫😬. I know that my kid enjoyed the walk in the zoo. The timing to visit I felt like entry by 10:15/10:30 and exit by 01:00/01:30 PM to be ideal with kids and elderly. Carry water and small snacks but make sure to use dustbins when done. Variety of birds, animals and reptiles are in the zoo. Overall I will say a good experience.

Birsa Zoological Park, Ranchi, is one of the best-maintained zoos in eastern India. The environment is peaceful, clean, and surrounded by dense greenery — perfect for a family outing or a quiet walk. The animals are well cared for, and information boards help visitors learn about each species. The kids’ area and safari rides add extra excitement, especially for children. The ticket prices are reasonable, and facilities like drinking water, restrooms, and food stalls are available. Parking is also well managed. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ranchi who wants to relax close to nature and wildlife. 🌿🐅

One of the gems of Ranchi. Situated at NH on Ranchi Patna Road. It’s also called the Ormanjhi Zoo. Has ample Parking space. We booked the tickets online, can be purchased on counter too. I preferred this to avoid the queue however there wasn’t any rush as such. Inside you get battery operated cars which can be booked at 300/-. There is waiting always for the same. Keep half an hour as wait period for this. In terms of animals and condition of the park - it’s really well kept and maintained. Very good experience for kids and adults too. There is a snake world inside, don’t miss that.. :)

The visit was not of good taste.we 4 Adults and 2 children aged 4 & 2 years reached at 3=30 PM. The moment we reached at the entrance Gate,A loud sound frightened us Which was due to fall of DRY BRANCH of Tall Dry Tree standing just near the First Turn of the Entrance Gate.By GOD Grace We escaped unhurt for few inches. The intensity of impact can be gauged by the bend Corrugated sheet nearby . We made an Entry and went straight for hiring vehicle at around 3=35 PM Where we got another as No vehicle was available.Enquiry revealed that only 3 small vehicles are plying and rest are under Breakdown including the Big one.We somehow managed to walk a little with 2 small children and left disappointed.

Very good park to visit. Here you can see many type of birds like ostrich, kiwi, white duck, black buck etc and many types of animals like elephant, lion, beer, crocodile , alligator etc . You need atleast 2 hours to visit all places of park. Here a dhaba is also available where you can eat but little expensive. Such a great experience to visit. Atleast you should visit once in your life.

Its a zoo + nature park + botanical garden + children's amusement park + wildlife reserve, rescue. Everything in one place. And best of all the location, extremely easy to get there via nh 33. Been here dozens of time and yesterday went with people from my hometown. Everyone had the best time. Boating for some reason wasn't available this time. But white tiger is the latest feature of this place. Must visit if you're coming to Ranchi. And yes do come in light clothing. You will have to walk a lot, 5-6 kms easily, although a golf cart sevice is also there but I don't recommend it. Don't be lazy while you're out to enjoy :)

The Tribal Research Institute and Museum in Moharabad, Jharkhand offers a comprehensive insight into the 32 tribal societies residing in the state. The museum showcases detailed information about their culture, history, and dietary habits. Visitors can explore model structures representing different tribes, depicting their historical timeline from the Bronze Age to the Modern era. Despite being relatively unknown even among locals, this museum provides valuable infographics on tribal populations, occupations, languages, and territorial distribution.
A great place to learn about the diverse tribes in Jharkhand! I came here for my Masters project research and the information shared about each tribe really assisted me in taking my work further. I would like to request those taking care of the museum to consider minor changes to the curation to make sure people are able to appreciate each detail that has been so meticulously done.

Yesterday, I visited the Tribal Research Institute (TRI) at Morabadi, Ranchi. I was inspired to visit because of Dr. Rose Fungal — a great thinker, poet, and a strong voice for tribals and feminism. Her work made me curious to know more about our roots. Honestly, I was shocked at first to find that TRI is located right beside a pub/bar. I had visited that area 3–4 times before but never realized that such an important place existed there. Visiting TRI made me feel proud — proud of the activism, the spirit of Jharkhand, and our tribal identity. At TRI, you can really feel the connection to nature and humanity. As tribals, we have always believed: "Save the forest, save the animals, save the land, save the water, save the earth, save humanity." This visit reminded me of our responsibilities towards the earth and each other. I strongly feel that all tribal leaders, activists, and especially the youth should promote TRI more. It's not just a research institute — it’s a symbol of our culture, struggles, dreams, and future. Visiting TRI was emotional and empowering. I hope more people recognize its importance and stand up for our environment and indigenous heritage.

One who is keen to know more about the diverse culture of the state, then this is the place. Ideally supposed to be a tourist place, but hardly saw more than 5. And the government should also work on promoting such places inorder to attract tourists.

It's not very well known so you need to search for it specifically. Not even the locals know about it. The museum itself is not very big. It simply features all the tribes that live in the state with infographics about them like their population, occupation, language and districts they occupy. For a few tribes the materials they make or use are also displayed rest every tribe is displayed as a real sized model.

Went to Ranchi War Cemetery. There are graves of 704 British soldiers who died in World War II. Most of them died in Burma fighting the Japanese. They are buried here. There is a cross in the centre. The cemetery is immaculately maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, London.

21Jagannath Mandir

Hindu temple
Nestled atop a hill in Ranchi, the Jagannath Mandir is a stunning Hindu temple that dates back to 1691. This architectural marvel not only mirrors the renowned Jagannath Temple in Puri but also offers breathtaking views of the city and its cricket stadium. The serene atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for spiritual seekers and cultural enthusiasts alike, especially during vibrant festivals like Rath Yatra. Visitors are often captivated by the exquisite idols housed within, which radiate beauty and tranquility.
Nestled on the serene hilltop of Ranchi’s Dhurwa region, the iconic Jagannath Mandir is a spiritual symphony echoing the grandeur of its Puri namesake — but with a smaller crowd, cooler breeze, and a charming rustic vibe that feels both ancient and intimate. Not Just a Temple—It’s a Legacy in Laterite Built in 1691 by the king of Barkagarh, Thakur Ani Nath Shahdeo, this temple is older than many of India’s railway stations and certainly more peaceful. The architectural style bears a close resemblance to the iconic Jagannath Temple of Puri, but it's crafted in the local laterite stone and has a distinctly tribal influence that gives it a character all its own. Here's the kicker: the temple was partially destroyed due to aging and structural decay, but thanks to public devotion and ASI-supported renovations, it's now standing tall like a phoenix in sandstone robes. When Tradition Takes the Hill — Literally Every year during the Rath Yatra, the temple transforms into a cultural carnival, drawing thousands who brave the hilltop climb with the zeal of true pilgrims and the cardio strength of seasoned trekkers. The idols of Lords Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Lady Subhadra are paraded in a vibrant chariot procession — think spiritual parade meets community reunion. Fascinating Tidbits: - The climb to the temple involves about 200+ steps, and if you're lucky, the setting sun will reward your effort with a panoramic Ranchi skyline dipped in gold. - Despite being lesser-known nationally, this temple is immensely significant to the tribal communities of Jharkhand, blending Vedic rituals with local customs. - According to local lore, some of the stones used in its reconstruction were brought from Odisha, maintaining a spiritual umbilical cord with Puri. A Reflective Wrap-Up: If faith had a postcode in Jharkhand, it would be the Jagannath Mandir, Dhurwa. It’s sacred without the chaos, spiritual without the sermon, and historic without the ego. Go for the peace, stay for the view, and come back for the Rath Yatra!

Jagannath Mandir in Jagannathpur, Ranchi is truly a peaceful and divine place. The temple is situated at a beautiful and elevated location, offering a serene atmosphere that helps you disconnect from the noise of daily life. The architecture of the temple resembles the famous Jagannath Temple in Puri, and it’s both spiritual and visually captivating. The surroundings are clean, well-maintained, and ideal for families and devotees. Whether you’re visiting for prayers or just looking to spend some quiet, reflective time, this temple provides a calming experience. The panoramic view of Ranchi from the hilltop adds to the overall charm.

Jagannath Temple Ranchi, Jharkhand 💞 The Jagannath Temple, located in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, is a major religious site. This temple, dedicated to Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra, was established in the mid-20th century. 💞 Built in the Odisha style, this temple offers a glimpse of the Puri Jagannath Temple in Ranchi. Wooden idols of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra are installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Paintings and carvings in Rajasthani and Odisha styles can be seen on the walls. 💞 The main tower and wide courtyard are built on the highest peak of the temple. 💞 The temple complex houses small umbrellas and pillars, along with shrines to other deities, which convey a sense of historical and religious significance. 💞 The temple's color scheme is predominantly white and pink, making it even more attractive. 💞 Famous for the Jagannath Rath Yatra, this temple also celebrates festivals like Janmashtami, Ramnavami, and Ramanavami, in addition to the Rath Yatra. Special pujas and ceremonies are held during major Hindu festivals like Diwali. A dining hall and restrooms are available within the temple complex for devotees to enjoy the feast and distribute prasad. Parking is also available around the temple. ✅ Thank you 🙏

Nestled just a few kilometers from the Ranchi railway station, Sidhu Kanhu Park is a delightful escape in the heart of the city. This expansive landscaped park pays tribute to the legendary freedom fighters Sidhu and Kanhu Murmu, who led the Santhal rebellion against colonial rule in the 1850s. The park features winding footpaths that invite leisurely strolls, alongside vibrant playgrounds and charming water features that add to its allure.
I recently visited Sidhu Kanhu Park, and it was such a wonderful experience! The park is well-maintained, with lush greenery, clean walking paths, and plenty of shaded areas to relax. The playground is great for kids, with safe and modern equipment. There are also nice picnic spots, clean restrooms, and a beautiful lake where you can enjoy the scenery. I especially loved the jogging trail—it's perfect for morning runs. The park is family-friendly and never too crowded, making it a peaceful escape from the city. This is beautiful and most attractive temple . The temple fitted with many big wheels and front of this temple also fitted with horses look likes that horses be alive and begins to move at a moment. It also has big campus in which garden with big field here. About 39 km. from Ranchi on Tata Road near Bundu, stands the elegant Sun Temple fashioned in the form of huge chariot with richly decorated 18 wheels (nine on each side) and seven life like horses ready to take off. Built by Sanskriti Vihar headed by Shri Sita Ram Maroo, the Managing Director of Ranchi Express Group, the Sun Temple deserves the title 'a poem in stone'. The surroundings of the temple, studded with a pond serving as a sacred place for Chhathavratis are actually a natures bounty to the people of Chhotanagpur. A beautiful dharmashala, meant for the pilgrims and the tourists is under construction. The all weather motor able road upto the temple premises is likely to attract tourist who will be captivated to behold the newly built Sun Temple in placid and seren surrounding leading to it's celestial beauties. The Sun Temples was constructed by a charitable trust named sanskrit vihar under the leadership of Shri Ram Maroo, who is also the managing director of Ranchi Express. The Sun Temple offers accommodation through Dharamshala that belongs to the temple trust and offers rooms and food at a very subsidised rate. Moreover, there is a small motel near the temple where they can pamper their taste buds This temple was built by Sanskrit Vihar and presently is managed by Shri Ram Maroo. A dharamshala and pond also lie near this temple. This pond also serves as a sacred place for Chhathavratis.

Ranchi By Nature - Street Foods is a vibrant spot that truly captures the essence of Ranchi's culinary scene, especially when the sun sets. While the nightlife may be subdued, this eatery buzzes with energy and flavor. Located near Firayalal Chowk, Upper Bazar, and Lalpur Chowk, it offers an array of delicious street food options at pocket-friendly prices—most dishes are under 100!
If you are looking for street food with a very good hygiene and a good pricing then this place is for you. In there menu all the dishes are less than 100 for one proportion. My recommendation here is chicken tikka sandwich. Their USP is they don't use colour and ajinomoto. You can check the vlog for this place in my YouTube channel. Channel:- foodo mania

So recently Ranchi by Nature has been renovated. It's bigger and better now. The service and food has also improved. All the things are better than before. Coming to food, we had Veg Chowmein, Barbeque Chicken Wings and Cold Coffee. Veg chow - ₹80 ( Full ) It was simple and tasted good. Had lots of veggies in it. The quantity was also good. Barbeque Chicken Wings - ₹85 ( Half - 2 pc ) The chicken pieces were tasty. The gravy was also good. It was slightly sweet in taste. So if you like slightly sweeter gravy, you'll love it. Cold Coffee - ₹70 It was good. The taste and quantity was pretty decent for the price.

I've only had a meal from here a couple of times, and all of them are delicious. The price is reasonable, and the food is fresh and superb. Other than that, the phone number provided by google seems wrong. On contacting through it, it was directed to a supposed tattoo store. I really wish you guys picked orders through Zomato & Swiggy.

We have ordered chicken Chilli and clearly mentioned them not to make it spicy.. But when we received the order chicken is completely rotton it seems like they are not using fresh chicken and even after giving clear advice not to make it spicy they made it too spicy .. Serving this quality of chicken which is rotton and old can lead to food poisoning to customers.. Shame on such kind of pathetic service. I will never eat here again

Hindu temple

Shree Jagannath Temple, located about 10 km from the main city of Ranchi, is a 17th-century shrine that bears a striking resemblance to the famous temple in Puri. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and houses statues of many other deities. The temple's antique and traditional architecture is well-maintained, offering visitors a spectacular view of the mesmerizing city of Ranchi.

Dassam Falls is a serene and picturesque tourist spot situated on the Kanchi River. It boasts of a magnificent 144ft waterfall which reaches its peak between October and March. The place is perfect for family picnics as it remains beautiful and calm even during summer, with no-plastic policy in place. Visitors can also enjoy light refreshments from various stalls while their children play at the small park available nearby.
A few days back, I had the opportunity to visit Dassam Falls, located near Ranchi in Jharkhand, and it was an absolutely refreshing experience. The natural beauty, the sound of the cascading water, and the overall vibe of the place left me feeling peaceful and rejuvenated. The falls are around 40 km from Ranchi and easily accessible by road. The journey itself is scenic, with greenery on both sides. Once you reach the falls, the sound of water crashing down from about 44 meters high is simply mesmerizing. There are steps built to take you closer to the base of the waterfall, allowing a great view and some amazing photo opportunities. The water flow was strong during my visit due to the monsoon season, which made it even more majestic. However, I noticed that there are clear warning signs not to go into the water, as the current can be dangerous — and it’s best to respect those. Things I liked: Clean and well-maintained surroundings Great spot for photography and nature lovers Ample parking space Small stalls nearby for snacks and tea A few tips for visitors: Avoid getting into the water for safety reasons Wear comfortable shoes if you plan to walk down the stairs Best time to visit is during or just after the monsoon for full water flow Early morning or late afternoon visits are more peaceful and less crowded Overall, Dassam Falls is a must-visit natural attraction in Jharkhand, especially if you're around Ranchi. A great place to enjoy with friends, family, or even solo if you're looking for some nature therapy. 📸 I clicked some beautiful photos during my visit — it’s definitely Instagram-worthy!

The sound of the falling water and the cool breeze create such a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. The place is well worth the visit, especially during or just after the monsoon when the flow is at its best. However, visitors should be cautious while walking near the rocks as they can be slippery. A little improvement in cleanliness and basic facilities around the area would make the experience even better. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable trip — a perfect escape into nature’s beauty! 🌿💦

The sound of the water crashing, the cool spray on your face, and the sheer scale of the drop—it’s humbling, exhilarating, and oddly comforting all at once. Visit during or just after the monsoon for peak flow, but tread carefully—the rocks get slippery and the current fierce. Early morning light adds a golden glow that’s perfect for nostalgic edits or pairing with a soulful track.

God finds you, and I truly believe that. I never knew about this place, but when I read the book and later visited the YSS Ashram, I could relate to it deeply. There is a divine timing for everything. This place offers a peaceful vibe, and you can truly feel the presence of nature. Under the tree where Guruji rests, you can sit and practice dhyānam (meditation). This is a place of awakening, and I believe we all need this at some point in our lives.

Heaven on earth! I can't find the exact words to express what peace does this place give to me. I felt myself lucky to have known about YSS and even more luckier to get to spend few years in Ranchi.

This place is very close to my heart. Very calm and quiet place. Best place for meditation and spiritual activities.

It’s a serene place with lots of positive vibes. Best for mental peace. Meditation hall is huge and guided meditation is very relaxing. Worth visiting, whenever you visit Ranchi
Ashwani B — Google review
First of all, this place is for YSS/SRF members only, an organisation started by our Guruji, Shri Paramahansa Yogananda, a highly revered saint known to both West and the East. He has written the bestseller "Autobiography of a Yogi". Anyone can visit the Ashram to know about guruji, his teachings, to visit the serene and peaceful environment it offers. Now about this place and all the other places associated with YSS, they all are like mandirs and a place to practice and do your sadhna away from cosmic divine chaos! They provide that environment where you can be immersed in the Divine! It's like a spiritual retreat where you can interact with monks, devotees and live with love, peace and joy, discuss your worldly problems and get a solution, solve mysteries of life, know about god and his creation, learn to live life god's way and lots and bits of many things actually! This place in Ranchi is hardly 1.5kms from Ranchi Junction, has collection of all printed materials of YSS, offers membership to YSS and other YSS related services being YSS's HQ.

Very nice place for a day out. Just that there is a lot of walking to do inside which can be tiring for kids and elderly persons. Still, Kids will love to see the dears. No food allowed inside which is a good initiative looking at people throwing food packets and garbage here and there. Pleasant place overall.

The Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Jharkhand is a hidden gem for sports enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. Nestled conveniently on the main road, it offers easy access without the hustle and bustle often found in larger cities. I had the chance to catch an exciting match between India and Japan, which turned out to be a delightful experience despite my initial unfamiliarity with hockey. The atmosphere was electric as both teams showcased their skills, culminating in Japan's victory that secured their spot at the Olympics.
I have never watched hockey in my life. But that day I was free and needed to kill time. So I decided to go and watch the hockey match, another reason was the match was between IND and JAPAN. Contrary to what I have imagined, it was a good experience, both teams played wonderfully, and I enjoyed it a lot. In spite of all the efforts made by team india, Japan won the match and qualified for the Olympics. And of course the stadium was nice and clean.

Wild Waadi Water Park is a refreshing and adventure-packed destination with activities for all ages. From water rides to fun games, there's something for everyone. Nature lovers can enjoy the bird park where they can interact with friendly birds. The park also offers various food options and amenities like lockers and costumes. While the food inside may be pricey, the overall experience is worth it, especially with its beautiful evening lighting and diverse garden filled with over 1000 plant species.
I have better experience on this place. Wild Waadi Waterpark in Ranchi is a premier entertainment and adventure destination that offers a vibrant mix of water rides, thrilling attractions, and entertainment zones, making it an ideal spot for families and thrill-seekers alike. Located centrally in Ranchi, Jharkhand, it has quickly become a favorite for locals and tourists looking for fun and excitement. The waterpark features more than 15 exciting water rides that promise adrenaline-pumping experiences for all age groups. In addition to the water rides, Wild Waadi also includes a trampoline park where visitors can enjoy jumping and bouncing activities, adding to the park's diversified appeal. One of the unique attractions is the bird park, where guests get the rare experience of feeding live birds by hand, creating memorable and interactive moments with nature. For adventure lovers, the park provides various activities such as zip-lining, bumper cars, and a VR game zone, alongside the standard waterpark offerings. This makes Wild Waadi a multi-dimensional entertainment hub where visitors can switch between water fun and dry activities effortlessly. Visitors praise the park for its variety of rides such as wave pools, splash areas, rain dances, boomerang slides, freefall slides, and mat racer slides. These rides cater to different tastes, from mild family-friendly environments to extreme thrills for adventure enthusiasts. The park also has food and beverage facilities, offering restaurants inside the premises where guests can take breaks and enjoy meals during their visit. The availability of lockers, changing rooms, and costume rental services enhances visitor convenience, although some reviews mention areas for improvement such as cleanliness and staff behavior. Entry to Wild Waadi Waterpark Ranchi is quite affordable, with a ticket price around INR 500, making it accessible to a broad audience. The park operates from around 10:30 AM to 7:30 or 8:00 PM, allowing for a full day of fun-filled activities. Despite some mixed reviews regarding management and hygiene, many visitors have enjoyed the diverse activities and scenic spots within the park, recommending it for a fun day out with family and friends. It is also noted for being one of the largest water parks in the region, adding to its appeal as a major recreational destination in Jharkhand. Overall, Wild Waadi Waterpark Ranchi offers a comprehensive entertainment experience combining water adventure, animal interaction, and varied dry rides, making it a favorite for both locals and visitors who want to escape the routine and enjoy a day of excitement and relaxation. It is well-suited for groups and families, ensuring something for everyone, from kids to adults. This waterpark stands as a notable attraction that enhances Ranchi's profile as a growing hub for leisure and adventure activities.

Our recent visit to the water park offered a mixed bag of experiences. While the sheer excitement of being at such an attraction was palpable, certain aspects detracted from an otherwise potentially fantastic day. The array of slides and water features promised endless fun, and in that regard, the park delivered on its core purpose. The thrill of plummeting down a winding slide or riding the waves in the artificial pool was genuinely exhilarating, creating memorable moments of joy and laughter. However, a significant concern that immediately became apparent was the cleanliness of the water. It wasn't as pristine as one would hope for in a public water facility, which unfortunately cast a slight shadow over the enjoyment of the rides. Furthermore, there was an unmistakable odor around several of the attractions, suggesting a need for more rigorous maintenance and sanitation protocols. These issues, while not entirely ruining the day, certainly prevented the experience from reaching its full potential. It became clear that our timing for the visit was less than ideal, as we arrived during what appeared to be the absolute peak hours. The park was teeming with visitors, leading to long queues for popular rides and a generally crowded atmosphere. Through observation and a bit of trial and error, we deduced that the optimal time to experience the park with fewer crowds is between 11 AM and 1 PM. After this window, the park rapidly fills up, making navigation and ride access more challenging. On a positive note, the affordability of the entry tickets was a pleasant surprise. We secured our admission for a mere ₹250, and impressively, this price included unlimited access to all the rides. This all-inclusive ticketing made the the cleanliness and odor issues, while visitors strategically planned their arrival for the quieter morning hours, this water park could undoubtedly become a premier destination for summer fun.

It is okay.. I mean not that big.. specially compared to some other water parks in Ranchi (not want to take names). Ride equipments such as boards and all are so very less here, bcoz of that the waiting time for any ride is so much !! They should atleast increase those. Price is 500 per head for adults, again since it is not that big so the price is also less as compared to other water parks. And if u take membership there then the price will be half !!

Wild Wadi Water Park in ranchi is a top-rated family-friendly destination known for its thrilling rides, clean environment, and excellent safety measures. Highlights include the Jumeirah Sceirah, the Middle East’s fastest free-fall water slide, and Master Blasters, which offer roller coaster-style water rides. Families can enjoy Breaker’s Bay, the region's largest wave pool, and the kid-friendly Juha’s Dhow and Lagoon with over 20 water activities. With options like lazy rivers and adrenaline-pumping slides, plus attentive lifeguards and free clothes, Wild Wadi offers a perfect blend of excitement and relaxation for all age groups.
Prince Y — Google review
Horrible experience….Though there are adequate facilities inside this water park at very low cost, over crowding and basic cleanliness issues makes it worst place especially for family members. Management should think of restricting number of customers at any given time. No rides can be used without waiting for 30 mins. VR zone was closed due to being overcrowded. Water inside the pool was dirty. People were fighting for lockers. No water in changing room. Swimming costume should be made mandatory. Quality of food needs much improvement. Overall a very bad experience… Not recommended.

It's the first time I went to a water park, lots of fun things to do there. I enjoyed it a lot 💯 one should at least visit there once.
Puja M — Google review
One of the best water parks in Ranchi for a weekend gateway. You can call it most affordable as well because the ticket prices are the lowest and they offer a lot more activities than just the water park. They have washrooms , changing rooms, and free lockers. The cons are that it is located in the outskirts of the city approx 20 kms from the city centre and the cleanliness is not up to the mark.
