The Basilica of San Gaudenzio is a prominent landmark in Novara, Italy. Its towering central cupola, reaching 121 meters high, makes it visible from almost anywhere in the city. The 19th-century masterpiece features ornate columns and colorful frescos inside its opulent interior. This church is renowned for its impressive dome, one of the largest in Italy, offering breathtaking views from the top.
Incredible building, quite spectacular.... make sure you walk all around the outside

The Basilica, a symbol of Novara, adds a wonderful atmosphere to the city with its high dome and exterior facade that harmonizes with the surrounding streets. The architecture of the Basilica is truly fascinating and worth exploring. The interior is not cluttered with objects, with the architectural features taking center stage. I can say it's a religious structure that impresses you with its grandeur as soon as you step inside. We enjoyed exploring it. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any informative brochures or plaques while touring.
Murat Y — Google review
Wonderful church, however the way to get the best view is inside a bank parking lot. The security guard is extremely unfriendly. Why would they not allow access to see the beautiful structure? I guess this is reinforces the trend of Italy giving control of historical monuments to corporations.
Wayne K — Google review
Refreshing contrast between ornate decor and plain walls. Quiet, still atmosphere and not crawling with tourists. The statue that was formerly atop the spire is now inside so you can get close up to see the details.

Bar - Il Broletto is a historic complex of buildings located in the heart of Novaro, just a short distance from the Duomo and Teatro Coccia. The complex showcases four distinct architectural styles developed over centuries, offering visitors an intriguing glimpse into the city's history. The Palace of the Paratici stands out with its beautiful dual layer of delicate arches within the inner courtyard.
Love the place. A very nice art museum of local artists there.

This place is amazing everyone visiting the city should come down a have a lunch, the menu is seasonal and always kept fresh, this place is as private as you can get in the center of a bunch city, with a large cortile, with beautiful affrescos, all inside a historic house central to the city history, well highly recommend. The food is amazing.

Terrible experience! Would never recommend! The food was good, but the service is the worst I’ve ever seen. Waiter and waitress were so slow and didn’t care. Waited for bottle of water for 15 minutes. When I asked for Drink menu waiter looked at me like I’m some sort of crazy person. He said why you need the menu there’s just drinks.... Waited for the main course for 40 minutes and when asked how long I have to wait he said - long! And then he added- if you don’t like it, you can go! There were few tables taken. It’s a shame that such staff works at this nice place!

Museo di Storia Naturale "Faraggiana Ferrandi" is a charming museum located next to the Duomo di Novara, offering free entry. It showcases an impressive collection of taxidermy animals, including reindeer, badgers, kingfishers, lions, tigers, and even a polar bear. Each display provides detailed information about the animal's habitat and lifecycle.
What a hidden gem of the city! We went today with 3 years old and 5 years old. We loved it! It is well maintained and very educational! Many to explore!
Lan X — Google review
Staff is very kind and it is clear they try their best, and we acknowledge and appreciate it. But the museum itself is just... not good. The exhibits are old, done in outdated methods, and wonky-looking. As a lover of natural history museums I was deeply disappointed. It can only be enjoyable for someone who never saw taxidermy before, maybe. I feel bad for leaving this review, since I can very clearly tell an effort was made in order to make this museum better and more modern. But at the end of the day, it's just a small bunch of decades old, poorly taxidermied animals in small rooms, and is just not worth the time or the parking money. I can not, for the life of me, understand the high rating on Google.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I'm not particularly fond of stuffed animals, but I have to say that in this museum they are artfully displayed, following a very interesting path. The staff is friendly and helpful, the displays are clear and well-lit, with small multi-sensory stops and a photography exhibition. I also think the children's activities, which we glimpsed during the visit, are very interesting (unfortunately, my kids are too old). The visit is free and lasts at least an hour. It's definitely worth a visit (or two!) (Original) Bello, bello, bello.

While often overshadowed by the Basilica di San Gaudenzio, it boasts a neoclassical design and features a separate baptistery dating back to the 4th century.

San Pietro al Rosario, a Catholic church in Novara's city center, was under the control of the Dominicans until Napoleon's suppression of their Order. Constructed between 1599 and 1618, it showcases four saintly statues on its newly renovated baroque-style facade. Inside, visitors can admire breathtaking Baroque works and paintings by renowned artists such as Giovanni Mauro Della Rovere (Fiammenghino) and Giulio Cesare Procaccini.
Located at the city center of Novara, the facade is newly renovated, in baroque style, it has a single nave and chapels on each side along the walls. The church is dedicated to San Pietro. The frescoes on the walls and ceilings are amazing. This place is worth visiting.

The church has a single nave surmounted by a barrel vault and along the two walls there are four chapels on each side. The facade has been restored in recent years but does not offer any particular attractions while the interior has interesting decorations and valuable paintings, as well as a splendid frescoed vault. (Translated by Google) I was very impressed by the beauty and serenity of the Church of San Pietro al Rosario in Novara. This sacred place conveys a sense of history and spirituality that captures attention from the first moment. The architecture of the church is fascinating, with intricate details. The artwork inside is truly remarkable, with frescoes and paintings that tell biblical stories in an engaging way. The natural light that filters through the stained glass windows and the main door creates a magical atmosphere, emphasizing the sacredness of the place. I particularly appreciated the quiet and reflective atmosphere that pervades the church. It is an ideal place to find a moment of peace, to reflect or to pray. Unfortunately, due to some internal collapses, some barriers were placed on the left nave of the structure which also indicate the imminent and necessary maintenance of the church itself. The Church of San Pietro al Rosario is a hidden jewel in the heart of Novara, and I highly recommend anyone who happens to be passing through here to visit it. Whether you are an art enthusiast, a religious spirit or simply looking for a moment of tranquility, this church offers a truly unique experience as it is a place that enchants the senses and the soul, a place that is worth a visit attentive and respectful.

If you're looking to immerse yourself in the local culture of Novara, a visit to Piazza delle Erbe is an absolute must. This lively square comes alive every Saturday morning with a bustling market that showcases the best of regional produce, artisanal cheeses, cured meats, and other delightful goods. Arriving early allows you to soak up the vibrant atmosphere as locals shop for their weekly essentials and sample delicious treats.
(Translated by Google) Piazzale delle Erbe in Novara is a quiet and charming corner of the city, perfect for those who love walking in a relaxed atmosphere. This small square, although not very large, offers a pleasant space to stop, surrounded by characteristic shops and welcoming bars, where you can stop for a coffee or a snack. One of the most interesting buildings overlooking the square is the historic Casa Canobio, an example of architecture that tells a piece of the city's history. Another element that captures attention is the former Cinema Eldorado, once one of the main entertainment venues for the people of Novara, which today remains as evidence of a vibrant and culturally rich past. Despite its small size, the square manages to create an intimate and pleasant environment, especially on sunny days, when people gather to take a walk or sit at the outdoor tables. It is a perfect place for those looking for a bit of tranquility in the center of Novara, away from the hustle and bustle of the more crowded areas. Walking through the alleys that branch off from the square is like taking a journey back in time, among ancient buildings and picturesque views that tell the story of life in the city of the past. For those who visit Novara or for those who live there, Piazzale delle Erbe represents a small jewel to discover, which combines history, culture and the pleasure of a relaxing break, offering a simple but fascinating experience.

Casa Bossi, a neoclassical architectural gem designed by Antonelli, is a prime example of 19th-century civil architecture. Although it has suffered from neglect, efforts have been made to restore parts of the structure and open it to the public. The house, located on the highest point of the city, boasts over 200 rooms spread across three levels and covers approximately 6500 m2. It features secret passages designed to prevent servants and gentlemen from encountering each other.
(Translated by Google) Enchanting! Visited on Sunday 8 December, thanks to the commitment and courtesy of the volunteers of the "Amore x Casa Bossi Committee". The visit lasts about a couple of hours, and extends between the internal garden, the first and second floors. The villa boasts approximately 6000 m2 of internal surfaces and 259 rooms, as well as stables, cellars, an outdoor garden, several floors built on multiple levels. Many anecdotes and gems told by the guides who accompanied us, the marvelous "The Magic Room", from which, thanks to small holes strategically positioned on the frames, it is possible to see with extreme meticulousness the projection of the Dome of San Gaudenzio and the The bell tower, together with the skyline of the surrounding houses, is difficult to explain in words, forgive me, but go and see it, it's really worth it!!! If possible, visit it at sunset, because this projection is colored naturally thanks to the sun's rays! It's a shame that the Municipality of Novara, despite owning the property, does not take care of the maintenance and renovation of such a work of art that Antonelli left us! (Original) Incantevole!

(Translated by Google) Architectural jewel by the famous Antonelli (also author of the dome of San Gaudenzio right behind the Bossi house). The house stands on the highest point of the city, conceived around the mid-19th century and has reached the present day in a bit of a state of repair. and decadent but still full of its charm... Thanks above all to the committee for the Bossi house and to other associations who contributed to the reopening of the doors of this incredible palace... recently it has in fact been possible to visit a large part of it with a guide. This gigantic house is full of stairs, passages, rooms and halls with ceilings where you can still see some frescoes and with a truly unique view of the dome and the bastion that overlooks the lower part of the city thanks to the numerous balconies and small balconies... It tells an incredible number of more or less important stories of people who lived there until the 80s... among these stories there is also a small space for my memories... that on those stairs and in those courtyards I was lucky and the privilege of playing when I was a child....seeing it again today still gives me that desire for adventure that it hid in every corner and let's not talk about the attic!!! Casa Bossi one of the most beautiful neoclassical buildings in our country.

(Translated by Google) Casa Bossi is one of the major works of civil architecture by Alessandro Antonelli (1798 - 1888), and in this it is paired with Villa Caccia in Romagnano Sesia. Unfortunately, unlike the latter, the deterioration it is experiencing is evident, despite attempts in recent decades to put a stop to the structural decline of the building. The efforts made in this sense are undeniable, and it is clear that the funds for a real renovation of a building of this size are very difficult to find; however, you need to keep making attempts to get it back on track, both externally and internally. It is a small masterpiece of Antonelli's nineteenth-century neoclassicism, and a wise architectural recovery would make it an artistic pride of Novara.

(Translated by Google) The Rectory of the Cathedral of Novara represents an unmissable stop on the journey through history that stretches from antiquity to the Middle Ages. Located in the heart of the city, the Canonica offers a precious testimony to the ecclesiastical and architectural history of Novara, dating back to its origins in the first half of the 12th century. The initial construction, commissioned by Bishop Litifredo, included a "claustrum" intended to accommodate the clerics of the local Church. This space was organized around a courtyard, surrounded by houses on three sides and the Bishop's Palace on the western side. The Rectory has undergone numerous expansions and modifications over the centuries, including the introduction of a portico and the construction of a loggia adjacent to the Bishop's Palace. Between 1476 and 1486, this loggia was closed to create a room for the chapter library. Analyzing the structure of the Rectory, it is clear that the northern sleeve is the oldest part, characterized by a masonry made of reused bricks in a herringbone pattern. This architectural complexity reflects the different historical phases that have overlapped over time. The unevenness of the vaults is balanced by the pointed arches, which give a sense of uniformity to the complex. Along the portico, you can admire numerous pictorial testimonies from periods prior to the restoration, together with terracotta tiles that framed the original windows. The walls of the rectory's quadriportico also host numerous ancient works of art, forming what is known as the Lapidary Museum, established by Canon Carlo Francesco Frasconi in 1813. This museum collects Roman epigraphs, tombstones and monuments. To ensure the conservation of these finds, many of them were transferred to the Museums of the Canonica del Duomo, located in the adjacent buildings, and replaced by faithful reproductions. The Museums of the Canonica del Duomo of Novara can be freely visited during the weekends and upon reservation during the week. These museums offer a fascinating experience, allowing visitors to explore not only the ecclesiastical history, but also the architectural and artistic evolution of Novara. Today, the Rectory of the Cathedral of Novara is part of a larger complex that includes the Cathedral itself, the Baptistery and the Bishop's Palace. This complex represents a cultural heritage of inestimable value, which bears witness to centuries of history, art and faith. Visiting the Rectory of the Cathedral of Novara means taking a journey through time, discovering the deep roots of the city and appreciating the beauty and richness of its historical heritage. I highly recommend anyone who is in Novara not to miss the opportunity to visit the Canonica del Duomo. Its fascinating history and works of art make it an essential destination for lovers of culture and history.

Place of worship
Battistero, located in Novara, Italy, is an ancient baptistery dating back to the 5th century AD. It features non-homogeneous columns and capitals that were likely recovered from a disused Roman structure. The partially preserved frescoes from different eras add to its beauty. This baptistery is considered the oldest existing building in Novara and one of the oldest early Christian buildings in Piedmont.
(Translated by Google) The Baptistery of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta in Novara is a place of great beauty and historical importance. Spared by Antonelli's renovation of the square, it is the oldest Christian monument in the city, dating back to the beginning of the 5th century. Its octagonal plan, divided into alternately semicircular and rectangular apses, forms a cruciform structure that reveals its ancient history. Inside, you can admire marble columns of the Corinthian order, coming from a Roman building, and the remains of the octagonal basin where the immersion ritual took place. One of the eight sides of the Baptistery was covered in the 15th century by the "Last Judgment" by Giovanni De Campo, adding further elements of artistic and cultural interest. The building, over the centuries, has undergone various transformations and restorations, while maintaining its aura of antiquity and sacredness intact. Today, it also hosts artistic exhibitions and represents an important meeting place and contemplation for the faithful and visitors of the city. I highly recommend anyone to visit the Baptistery of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta in Novara, a place full of history, art and spirituality that represents an essential step to understand the rich religious and cultural tradition of the city. (Translated by Google) The Government and Province Palace of Novara, also known as Palazzo Natta, is a historic structure of great charm located in Piazza Matteotti, in the heart of the city. Although I did not have the pleasure of visiting it inside, its majesty and beauty are evident from the outside. The most suggestive thing is undoubtedly the clock tower, which gives the building an imposing presence in the urban panorama. This tower, known in the past as the "large tower", dates back to 1268, thus representing one of the oldest parts of the structure. The palace was built in various phases over the centuries, initially belonging to the noble Novara family of the Caccia di Mandello and Castellazzo counts, and then passing to the Natta d'Alfiano and Natta Isola di Casale families. One of the most valuable additions is attributed to the architect Pellegrino Pellegrini, known as Tibaldi, in 1580. This part has a plan similar to that of the ancient Roman villas, with an honor courtyard and a private garden that align perfectly with the main entrance. During the eighteenth century, the building underwent further expansions, enriching its structure and its architectural character. One of the focal points of the palace is the courtyard of honor, characterized by a series of Doric columns and a barrel-vaulted portico, which give a classic elegance to the place. Inside, on the first floor, you can admire frescoes by the painters De Giorgi and Rizzotti, which add an artistic touch to the sumptuousness of the building. The garden of the palace is another element of great value, conservatively restored in 1998. In the center of the garden there is a splendid fountain in pink Baveno marble, while an elegant eighteenth-century molded exedra closes the bottom of the garden, creating an suggestive. Furthermore, there are some rare botanical plants, including a bicentenary Taxus bacatum, which help make the garden an oasis of tranquility and beauty. In conclusion, Palazzo Natta represents not only an important historical and cultural reference point for Novara, but also a place of extraordinary architectural and landscape beauty that I highly recommend visiting.

The garden is nice, with a fountain with a collection tank in which goldfish swim. From a technical point of view, the location is not very comfortable. The stage is positioned between the trees and the space around it is not level, because it is occupied by flower beds. The electrical supply is about 10 Kw. Behind the stage (6 x 4) there is a panel with 3 16A single phase, 2 32A penta and 1 16A 4 pole unusable. The control room is at the back of the stalls with about 150 chairs. Located next to the Coccia Theater in Novara, Cannavacciuolo Café & Bistrot is a historic establishment with modern decor and a terrace. It offers a diverse menu to satisfy both sweet and savory cravings. Visitors can enjoy creative dishes and an extensive selection of Italian pastries prepared fresh daily. The café provides a pleasant setting for morning coffee, while the bistro serves up delicious meals.
The 3 of us spent a splendid lunch at this Bistrot. Abundant fun and creative plates. We had the blind tasting menu with 7 plates, but in the end, I think we had like 11 plates. We had an aperitif, a bottle of rosé, and cold, spiked coffee. The bill came to 120€ and a super full belly per person. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and the chairs were very comfortable which was important for a 2.5 hour meal. The terrace was amazing but was close at lunch due to the heat. The staff was knowledgeable and professional; the masks were always on. We will visit again.

At the café: What you get in the plate is definitely a 4+ (tasty, creative, good looking). The decoration is rather on the poor/austere side, not welcoming and far from being cosy. I’ll give it a 3-. The service is truly poor, far from usual Italian warm & welcoming hospitality. I’ll give it a 2. Hence the global note of 3. It is a pity the renomé of the famous chef has no side effect on the level of service.

I celebrated my 23rd wedding anniversary today 13/06 2021. The service was good, but not excellent. Unfortunately, the waitress totally forgot our requests. At the beginning, I told her I didn't like fish and the first dish they brought was with seafood 🙄. Then, we ordered the wine test and they forgot about it. When we were in the 6th dish, we asked the sommelier what happened with the wine. He didn't know anything. Communication breakdown breakdown occurred within the staff.

Deludente. We enjoye fine dining but objectively and unfortunately we did not eat well at all at Bistrot, which is quite surprising given all the hype. Maybe a bad day for the kitchen? I would not go back to test this theory, so many excellent restaurants in Northern Italy to return to, this one can just get archived as a bad memory.

Great restaurant with an excellent menu del giorno. The daily menu I chose was primi, secondo, contorno. With a glass of Prosecco, dessert, and cafe E 25.00 just to be clear, if I didn't want the Prosecco and dessert, the cost would only be E 13.50 per person.

I had heard a lot about this restaurant and I had great expectations. Sadly disappointed. Not for the location or atmosphere but the food, in particular the mains. We ordered a steak with gorgonzola sauce and a tri-colore. Both steaks were so tough, we couldn't finish the meal. For the price one has to pay in this restaurant, I expect better quality products.

Ancient Ruins
The Roman Walls are a remarkable historical site that showcases the impressive engineering skills of ancient Rome. These fortifications, built to protect the city, offer visitors a glimpse into the past with their towering structures and intricate designs. Walking along these walls provides an immersive experience, allowing you to appreciate both the history and stunning views of the surrounding area. The blend of ancient architecture with modern life creates a unique atmosphere that captivates travelers from all over.
(Translated by Google) The stretch of walls that emerged in Via Solaroli is, together with its smaller twin in Piazza Cavour, the most important testimony to Novara's Roman origins. This is a recent discovery, given that these remains only came to light during the excavation campaigns of 1982 and 1983. On an archaeological level, these ruins are of particular interest, since they indicate that the walls of Novara were not at all similar to the typical quadrilateral scheme that characterized most Roman colonial settlements. In fact, due to the particular morphology of the territory, the city took on a pentagonal shape. Having created a small park around the wall section was certainly an excellent idea, but more care and maintenance would be required.

(Translated by Google) Roman remains of via Paolo Solaroli During excavation works and following subsequent excavation campaigns (1982-1983), a section of the southern side of the city walls was brought to light. With the discovery in Piazza Cavour, this constitutes the most evident trace of the fabric of the Roman city. In Novara the layout of the walls moves away from the regularity of the quadrilateral layout that characterizes the cities of colonial foundation, adapting to the morphology of the site. The North-Western curtain, with numerous corrections of the alignments along the Quintino Sella bastion, reaches Piazza Cavour and then deviates in the direction of the Castle. Also in this area the walls interrupt their straight line before joining the section that emerged in via Solaroli. Here the land, compromised by multiple subsequent buildings, does not restore the original stratigraphy. The excavations have brought to light abundant ceramic material dating from the Roman age to the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, up to the present day, confirming the continuous use of the area over time as a lively and populated urban centre.

Allea Park of San Luca is a central park located in the heart of Novara, offering a vibrant atmosphere throughout the day and especially popular among young people during weekend nights. While there are regulations that limit certain activities for children, the park is well-maintained with ample space for various recreational activities. It features a beautiful pathway behind bustling bars, making it an ideal spot for romantic evening strolls or relaxation.
Central park of novara, right in the middle of the city, close to the bar zone, usually the place is active, most if the day time there's someone around, in the weekend nights its usually full of young people, so just to seat or start a rando conversation. If you wont see any dogs in the park (unlikely) you could also see some birds, butterflies, and rabbits. It is really really recommended in the pre summer time and until September more or less to put some anti mosquitoes spray, or you just might getting eaten alive... enjoy ;)

The stadium is surrounded by ample parking space, making it convenient for visitors. Despite a few pesky mosquitoes after rain showers, fans can enjoy an authentic Italian vibe in the stands that truly enhances the matchday experience.
Attended a game here and the atmosphere is fantastic.. some nostalgic local football. Pure Italian vibes in the stands

The stadium sits outside and quite a walk from the historic centre and train station (taxi was around €10 one way) and facility wise is very basic. Stadium features a 'plastic pitch' and there is a video scoreboard opposite the main stand, which is covered. Novara fans created a good atmosphere full of support vs local rivals Pro Vercelli. Large car park adjoins so easy to access and park if driving. One food kiosk served fans outside. Inside, there was a table set up with a limited offer of beer and snacks. Pretty much your classic average lower league municipal Italian stadium...was Serie A not that long ago.

Cupola di San Gaudenzio, an architectural masterpiece by Antonelli, offers guided tours that take visitors up to 100m. The ascent to the spire is quite interesting, with comfortable stairs throughout. The dome of the Saint Gaudentis Church is a majestic structure in the region and provides truly fascinating information about the dome and the Basilica. It's an experience not to be missed for those who appreciate architectural wonders.
Nice to see. Maybe with guided visits, it will be even better. BTW tower was closed, we view only cathedral.

it is so beautiful. same architect than of the Torino’s Mole Antonelliana. the magnificent italian classicism’s perfect example from the 19th century. (church body built in the 17th century)

Experience the excitement of exploring the dome of San Gaudenzio, a defining landmark of Novara and a standout element of its skyline, visible from nearly every part of the city and beyond. Constructed over four decades, the dome showcases the brilliance of Alessandro Antonelli and stands as one of the most ambitious masonry structures in the world, comparable to the Mole Antonelliana in Turin. By following walkways that were once inaccessible to the public, and equipped with a helmet and harness, you can uncover the history of this remarkable example of 19th-century architecture. From the sweeping colonnades and the spire rising 100 meters high, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the city, from the distant Alps to the skyline of Milan.

The Chiesa Sant'Eufemia is a charming, petite church that may not grab attention at first glance, but it boasts an impressive size. Adjacent to it is an oratory where children can engage in play. The parish priest generously permits small groups like boyscouts to generate funds by selling pastries and treats following the mass. This place attracts friendly individuals and emanates tranquility as a Catholic Church should.

(Translated by Google) The Church of Sant'Eufemia, in Novara, is a jewel of history and art that I have often found closed, but which I can't wait to visit. Its origins date back to ancient times, contemporary with the construction of the churches of Ognissanti and San Nazzaro della Costa. Already at the time of Bishop Litifredo, this church was a place of worship granted to the brotherhood to celebrate liturgies. During the period of the brotherhood of San Defendente, until 1586, the management of the church was entrusted to them. Subsequently, Sant'Eufemia became a hospice for pilgrims, a role it maintained until the nineteenth century. The brotherhood, in fact, left the church due to the union with the order of the Confraternity of the SS. Trinity of the Pilgrims of Rome. In 1666, the building underwent a Baroque style renovation, similar to what happened to the Church of Ognissanti. The current facade, concave and characterized by a refined two-tone between the white of the walls and the yellow of the finishes, dates back to 1694-1698. The columns, whose stone stands out in the dominant colour, together with gables and projecting cornices, give the facade a timeless elegance. The main entrance, part of an imposing porch, is surmounted by a window, while two side niches house statues. The interior, in the shape of a Latin cross with a large transept, reflects the style of the facade. The pulpit, created between 1682 and 1683 by the carver Vallo, is an example of rich wood carvings. The choir, in rococo style from 1775, is the work of G. Olivarez da Corbetta and P. Barengo da Magenta. Among the pictorial works, "The Assumption" by Agostino Sant'Agostino from 1677 and the "Martyrdom of a Saint" by Giuseppe Antonio Pianca from 1745 stand out, both dramatic and evocative. Furthermore, there are "Sant'Omobono" by Bartolomeo Vandoni (1603-1676) and other works of considerable artistic value. The Church of Sant'Eufemia also houses funerary monuments, including that of Count Giuseppe Tornielli Brusati, sculpted in 1843 by Antonio Bisetti. Ultimately, this church represents a treasure of history and art that certainly deserves an in-depth visit to admire its works and immerse yourself in its fascinating history.

The polychromy and the countless friezes of the concave façade, combined with the frescoes and decorations of the interior, make Sant'Eufemia a true archetype of the seventeenth-century artistic movement par excellence. Not to be missed for lovers of the genre. Architectural Buildings
Palazzo Bertelli o Casa del Corpo di Guardia, formerly the headquarters of the city police troops, is a historic building dating back to 1845. Constructed with Viggiu' stone, it showcases captivating high reliefs, including one depicting the peace treaty signed in Novara on December 20, 1310. The rooftop is adorned with a female statue bearing the city's coat of arms and a cornucopia.
(Translated by Google) The House of the Guard, also known as Palazzo Bertelli, is an architectural jewel located in Piazza della Repubblica, also known as Piazza Duomo, in the heart of Novara. Along the west side of the square, this majestic building stands imposingly, telling the military history of the city through its details and decorations. Designed by the engineer Antonio Aresi and begun in 1835 by decree of the Municipality, the Palazzo del Guardia stands out for its elegance and grandeur. The facade, characterized by compact and strongly chiaroscuro volumes, is enriched by trophies carved in Viggiù stone, which give the building an aura of nobility and grandeur. But what makes this building truly special are its decorations, made with care and skill. The archivolts are adorned with finely modeled military trophies, while under the eaves extends a high-relief frieze which depicts the historic pacification between the Guelphs and Ghibellines which took place in 1310 in Novara. This frieze, the work of Gerolamo Rusca, is a true masterpiece that testifies to the thousand-year history of the city and its importance in the political and military context of the time. On the roof of the building stands a statue, also by Rusca, depicting a noblewoman with a turreted forehead, symbol of the city of Novara. The figure holds the city coat of arms in his right hand and in his left hand he holds a cornucopia, a symbol of wealth and abundance, thus representing the prosperity and pride of the city. Although its ancient function as the headquarters of the Guard has ceased some time ago, today the Palace hosts elegant shops, offices and homes, continuing to be a point of reference in the urban fabric of Novara. Personally, I have not yet had the opportunity to visit this magnificent building, but I have heard that some associations organize guided tours that allow you to explore its beauty and history. I am sure it would be a fascinating experience and one that I highly recommend to anyone who has the opportunity to participate.

Constructed during the 14th and 15th centuries, Casa della Porta stands as a significant civil structure in the Gothic style of Novara. Undergoing restoration work by Carlo Nigra in the 1920s, it has retained its original appearance, making it a captivating sight within the city. This historical gem showcases an impressive blend of architectural elements and is widely regarded as one of Novara's most aesthetically pleasing locations to behold.
(Translated by Google) The Casa della Porta in Novara is an architectural jewel that enchants with its beauty and charm. Externally, it presents itself as a majestic and fascinating palace, which arouses admiration for its grandeur and elegance. Personally, I haven't had the chance to visit it yet, but I am deeply interested in doing so, if the opportunity ever arises. This building represents a significant example of a noble residence from the end of the 14th century and the beginning of the 15th century. Between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, an intense debate preserved the building from demolition, thus allowing an important piece of Novara's history to be preserved. Subsequently, having reached the Istituto Opere Pie di San Paolo, the building was entrusted to the architect Carlo Nigra, whose intervention, carried out between 1918 and 1930, followed the trend of the time to restore the original style of the building . This intervention was followed by more recent restorations, which contributed to preserving and further enhancing the structure. Examining the different historical phases of the building, the use of fragmentary Roman material emerges for a construction nucleus dating back to the year 1000, preceding the fourteenth-century addition and the fifteenth-century arrangement. Of particular interest are the three large windows that characterize the front facing the street, with pointed arch profiles framed by quadrangular frames decorated with molded terracotta tiles, depicting floral and twist motifs. Between the windows, two noble coats of arms testify to the ancient ownership of the building: one, with the cardinal's hat, belonged to Ardicino della Porta, who made it his residence at the beginning of the fifteenth century; the other, with the Visconti snake, probably belonged to the house of a noble wife. In conclusion, the Casa della Porta represents not only an important historical and artistic heritage of the city of Novara, but also a symbol of cultural and architectural wealth. Its troubled history and its architectural features make it a place of great charm and interest for anyone who wishes to immerse themselves in the history and beauty of Novara.

Rognonìs House, also known as the Toy Museum, is a hidden treasure nestled in the heart of Novara. It was acquired by the Municipality of Novara in 1985 along with rich collections from several generations of family collecting, thanks to a bequest from Alessandra Salvaneschi Rognoni. The museum offers a splendid glimpse into the lifestyles of wealthy families during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
(Translated by Google) The Casa Rognoni Salvaneschi, also known as the Toy Museum, is a hidden gem located in the heart of Novara. In 1985, thanks to the bequest of Alessandra Salvaneschi Rognoni, the Municipality of Novara acquired the rich collections of several generations of family collecting, together with the building that has always housed them. This historic residence was born from the consolidation of properties received through successive hereditary transfers to Francesco Rognoni (1817-1900). His son Ernesto (1850-1919), initiator of the collections, was succeeded by his nephew Franz (1896-1969), who in the 1950s oversaw the recovery of the oldest building, a tower-house with a large terracotta window with Lombard fringes. The work of restoring and reintegrating the fifteenth-century appearance was accompanied by the desire to recreate the interior furnishings of a late nineteenth-century noble house. To allow the rotational presentation of the various thematic cores of the collections, exhibition rooms have been set up on the ground floor of the building in via Canobio 12. The materials represented are numerous and diverse: lace, nineteenth-century embroidery, clothes, ceramics, weapons, professional and trade tools, household work tools and, naturally, an important collection of period toys. In the ancient and refined building located in one of the most central streets of Novara, the Museum offers evidence of the precious family furnishings, left in 1985 by Alessandra Rognoni Salvaneschi and her husband Franz. The Toy Museum, inaugurated in September 2012, collects several hundred vintage toys, some of great historical importance, collected over the years by Alessandra Rognoni. This collection is one of the most valuable in the Piedmont Region. The exhibition includes a selection of games and toys from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries belonging to the House Museum's collections, including dolls, marionettes and theatres, magic lanterns, board and board games, miniature reproductions of everyday objects, means of transport, ships, trains and toy soldiers. Through these objects, children of the past tried to imitate the behavior of adults. There are also miniature crockery and kitchen tools, for the little girls who, while playing, pretended to become perfect "housewives", real housewives. Visiting this museum is like taking a dive into the past, rediscovering the games that marked the childhood of our ancestors. The concept of play, which today we consider an integral part of childhood, saw a significant evolution with the rise of the bourgeoisie in the 18th and 19th centuries, when play became an educational tool. Unfortunately, the museum is not constantly open like a classic museum, making telephone reservations necessary to visit it. I was lucky enough to visit it by booking in advance, and I was very fascinated by it. The guide who allowed us to access the museum and accompanied us on the visit provided us with many descriptions and explanations. She was very kind and super helpful. Unfortunately, the accessible museum is only on the ground floor of Casa Rognoni Salvaneschi, since the upper floors, even more beautiful, are inaccessible due to restoration work due to unusability. It was a unique experience that catapults you into the past, a very ancient past where our ancestors were children, making us discover all their toys and dolls. I highly recommend anyone who is in the area to visit this museum, because it is a historical heritage of inestimable value.

(Translated by Google) Palazzo Medici in Novara is a sublime expression of sixteenth-century architecture, a jewel that captures attention for its elegance and stylistic audacity. Built in the mid-16th century by the Medici architect Vincenzo Seregni, also known as Vincenzo da Seregno or Vincenzo dall'Orto, this palace reflects the transition from the Renaissance to Mannerism. Seregni, a key figure in the artistic movement of the time, was influenced by the innovator Bartolomeo Ammannati, and this is clearly reflected in the distinctive architecture of Palazzo Medici. The building, located in via Canobio, framed by the Casa della Porta and the Casa Rognoni Salvaneschi, stands out for its bold break with contemporary architectural tradition and the introduction of new elements on both a structural and stylistic level. The exterior of Palazzo Medici is a tangible testimony of this revolution, with the fake ashlar stucco replacing the traditional brick. The pilasters with Ionic and Corinthian capitals give a classic elegance to the façade, while the stringcourses decorated with masks and intertwined phytomorphic elements add a touch of refinement. Inside, the courtyard is a work of art in itself, with the four walls finished in ashlar on the lower floor and decorated with stucco and pilasters on the upper floors. The stringcourse, with its intricate details, creates a harmonious transition between the first and upper floors, while a loggia on the left side completes the refined atmosphere of the room. Today, Palazzo Medici is a private residence, silent witness to its glorious history and the exceptional talent of its creators. Although it is not open to the public, its majesty and beauty continue to enchant and inspire those lucky enough to admire it from the outside.

Santuario di Maria Ausiliatrice, also known as the Marian sanctuary of the Salesian institute S. Lorenzo of Novara, is a sacred place that offers a serene and peaceful environment in the heart of the city. The sanctuary is rich in artistic works and provides a sense of inner peace and comfort to its visitors. Despite being located in the city center, it serves as an oasis of silence and tranquility.

(Translated by Google) It is a beautiful Marian sanctuary, very well kept and welcoming. It was built between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, with the laying of the first stone in 1896. It obtained the official title of sanctuary in 1912. Its architecture is clearly inspired by the neoclassical style, but with very personal touches: the coffered ceiling and, above all, the serliana loggia that runs along the entire single hall of the church almost as if it were a sort of women's gallery are elements that give a Renaissance touch to the building. In addition to the profound religious meanings (the cult of Mary Help of Christians was introduced to Novara by the Salesians of San Giovanni Bosco), the sanctuary is also interesting from an artistic point of view. In particular, the Chapel of the Crucifix is notable, which houses a beautiful sculpture in cast bronze with both high and low relief workmanship: the work was created by the Novara sculptor Carlo Cantoni (1872 - 1944), who depicts episodes around the large central Crucifixion of the life of Jesus.

There is a waste bin but the faeces bag dispenser is missing. Like all dog parks, it has areas where grass does not grow, which leads to a muddy surface on days after modest rains. The fence is about 130cm high enough for most dogs... at most for the more daring ones.

I contacted her and through the link I was able to see the list. The Barbera bag in box was delivered to me on time. Good price and wine, the courtesy was also excellent. I will also try the loose one. I recommend it. The kindness and helpfulness of the owner are to be appreciated, but unfortunately (I'm sorry to admit it) I didn't really like the wines (still very competitive and low prices) and I won't be returning to purchase further bottles. (Original) Ho acquistato e bevuto alcune bottiglie di Dolcetto e di Grignolino direttamente in negozio a Novara. Historical landmark
Palazzo Cacciapiatti Fossati is a remarkable example of Baroque civil architecture in Novara, built by the Cacciapiatti family in the 17th century and further adorned in the following century. The facade boasts beautiful 18th-century stuccos, showcasing an intriguing blend of seventeenth and eighteenth-century design elements. This building holds historical significance, especially from 1721 when Giacomo Francesco Cacciapiatti was granted the title of marquis.
(Translated by Google) It is one of the greatest examples of Baroque civil architecture in Novara. It was built by the Cacciapiatti family in the seventeenth century and embellished in the following century, especially starting from 1721, the year in which Giacomo Francesco Cacciapiatti obtained the title of marquis. The west side is interesting for the stucco decorations of the windows and the entrance door, in a blatantly eighteenth-century style; the east side instead presents a beautiful loggia with paired columns, which lightens the layout of the building. The two wings overlooking the bastion are twentieth-century additions. The interior is rich in decorations and paintings with a clear rococo feel. In the 19th century, ownership of the palace passed from the Cacciapiatti family to the Fossati family, who retained it for the entire century. Finally the entire building was purchased by the Municipality in 1924, and today it houses the Court.
