Located just a block away from Hotel France in Vinnytsia, the Holy Transfiguration Cathedral is a significant landmark. Originally constructed in the 1700s, it has undergone several renovations and expansions over the years. Interestingly, during the Soviet era, it was repurposed as a rubber factory and sports hall. For those interested in sacral architecture, a visit to St. Nicolas the Miracle-Worker Church is highly recommended.
It has so beautiful architecture and details on the painted walls!

The National Pirogov's Estate Museum, located in the scenic park on the outskirts of Vinnytsia, is a significant cultural site in Ukraine. It is dedicated to Nikolai Ivanovich Pirogov, a renowned surgeon, scientist, and founder of field surgery and anesthesia. The museum offers insights into his life and work through exhibits in his former estate. Visitors can explore the museum complex with explanations available in English, showcasing Pirogov's achievements and featuring remarkable paintings and historical artifacts.

There is a neatly tidy garden, a house museum and a pharmacy. It is not big but good to take time between 1 and 2 hours. The receptionists are friendly and if you visit the house and the pharmacy, the you should pay 100 hryvnia per adult.

The famous person of that time. His tremendous works use nowadays like as atlas of anatomy. Surgeon operation during 2 minutes. Can you believe. And it was 160 years ego. Creator of Sundays schools for poor people. He advised to use women in medical institutions. Attend more than 200 places and save thausand of human life's.
Google review
Really interesting museum with beautiful park. I advise to take full ticket (pharmacy and house). You can spend there several hours looking at old books, paints, surgical instruments and even humans' limbs. Don't hesitate to ask about its history; they can tell you a lot of different interesting facts about Pirogoff and his house.
Nick K — Google review

I discovered this chap whilst visiting the National Medical Museum in Kyiv so decided to visit his former home. A truly inspirational character for doctors and those wishing to enter the field. Unfortunately I could only spend a couple of hours and would like to have stayed longer to explore the grounds. His anatomical drawings are incredible. Its a shame the same frustrations by himself are still present for current doctors, equality in medical training, as well as corruption in government, perhaps their are issues that will always escape the surgeons scalpel! The pharmacy section wouldn't look out of place today, with different medications of course. Noticed the house had a cellar, I wonder what curiosities lie beneath!
Gary H — Google review
Worth a visit, there's an explanation on English in every section, it is a museum biography of a successful surgeon. A lot of amazing painting and interesting history. Easy access by public transportation from the central of city. There is also a beautiful garden. Don't forget to check around the area to find a a hundred years old tree planted by Pirogov himself.

(Translated by Google) The art museum is currently offering an exhibition of paintings by a talented local master - an artist from Mogilev-Podilskyi, Yury Kafarskyi. The artist skilfully completes landscapes and architectural objects with oil paints on canvas and cardboard. Definitely worth a look! Ticket 20 hryvnias - valid for all expositions - permanent and changing - that are in the museum. Attentive employees love to talk and advise. I recommend you to visit, because it is part of our culture. (The first six photos are paintings by Yu. Kafarsky). The museum clearly doesn't have enough space to properly display the existing paintings by local artists. There's a huge lack of space. This spoiled the impression. (Translated by Google) The collection of old paintings is quite small, there are often mistakes on the labels and the author does not match. I am pleased with the temporary exhibitions of contemporary art that take place in the museum. I would like to note that I have never seen in Ukraine that in an ordinary museum, just to take a picture of a painting, you had to pay as much as 50 UAH. The staff is calm, some are friendly, some answer dryly.

This is a great place to visit! It probably houses the largest scale model collection in Ukraine, and possibly one of the largest in Europe. The owner is on hand to discuss his collection and share stories from his 50+ years of collecting. A definite must-visit, especially with children.

(Translated by Google) The tram network in Vinnytsia has been operating since 1913 and recently celebrated its 108th anniversary. Usually, when foreigners or Ukrainians from other cities of Ukraine hear about Vinnytsia, they immediately think of its fountains, trams and water tower. I am sure that the vast majority of you have ridden the Vinnytsia "Karpfen" and "Mirage" (or at least seen their photos and videos on the Internet), which were given to the city as a gift from Zurich, Switzerland. And in Vinnytsia, the "European" track width is unique for the post-Soviet space - 1000 mm. Such in Ukraine remained only in Vinnytsia, Lviv, Zhytomyr and Yevpatoria. 6 years ago, Vinnytsia also started producing its own trams - "Vinways". Although according to the documents, they are classified as modernized Czech "Tatras", and some units have also retained some parts and parts of the hull from the "Czechs". But the original "Tatras" - models KT-4 and T-4 - attracted my attention the most, because they evoked nostalgia for childhood years. Such trams "ruled" the streets of the city in the 1970s and early 2000s. How long have I dreamed of driving such a tram and finally this dream came true. And finally, I bought a magazine dedicated to the "Czechoslovak era" in the city's tram history. The museum also has older models - the German "Gotha", an excursion tram (a tram made on the basis of the "Gotha", which vaguely resembles the Kyiv S-900) and a replica of the German "Man", these were the ones that ran through the city 100 years ago. If you want to learn more about the city and enjoy Vinnytsia's charm 100%, be sure to visit this museum and order a tour from Valery Starzhinskyi or Oleg Matyukhov. I recommend!

(Translated by Google) The best place in Vinnytsia to discover the wonderful world of theater for a child! It is very important to give a young person more options for complex entertainment as early as childhood, so that in adulthood he does not think that there are only kebabs, beer and YouTube. The Vinnytsia Puppet Theater recently moved to this building from the old premises on the street. Stepan Bandera (former Tolstoy St.). The move is more than successful: a very modern hall with comfortable chairs, good lighting and acoustics. I have never been to such a modern puppet theater in my life (and I have been in my life, maybe once or twice). A ticket for 100 hryvnias — nuances. Especially if you take into account the real cost of maintaining such a room. Moreover, there are performances 2 times a day on Saturdays and Sundays. The impressions from the performance are the best:) And not only from the plot, of course, but also from the quality of the musical accompaniment, the quality of the scenery and the dolls themselves. Judging by the children's emotional reactions in the hall, it was clear that the work of the director and actors was not in vain. The children seriously enter the process and actually stay in it until the end of the performance - about 45 minutes. I liked it very much. I recommend it to my closest friends (Original)

As music was playing on the street, the entrance was decorated with balloons, actors in bright costumes greeted the children The room is spacious, clean, beautiful. Interesting decorated hall. Comfortable chairs in the hall. But the central heating hasn't been turned on yet - it's very cold. And there is no way to pay by card. Both adults and children really liked the performance “A Mouse and the pink ribbon or Teddy Bear and the Rosy Stitch”: it was fun, educational, and interesting. The actors are smart! We also watched “In the Pokes of the Hidden Hippopotamus” - an instructive and interesting performance with an intermission. We will definitely come again! Представление "A Mouse and the pink ribbon або Мишка і рожева стрічка" очень понравилось и взрослым и детям: весело, познавательно, интересно. Also opposite the market there are shops with wholesale, retail, a good shop with dried fruits. This shop has a lot of different things, there are seasonings, sauces, olive oil, etc., it is definitely worth going in, the prices are low. The Vinnytsia Local History Museum is a captivating destination for anyone interested in delving into the rich historical narrative of Vinnytsia. Located in the heart of this lively city, the museum showcases an impressive array of exhibits that span from prehistoric times to modern history. Visitors can marvel at ancient artifacts, including remnants from the Ice Age and even a famous mammoth, alongside intriguing Soviet-era memorabilia and unique Japanese katanas.

A solid Soviet-style museum of natural history. Stuffed animals, including the somewhat famous mammoth. The next to last hall is about the 2-nd world war, and the very last hall is dedicated solely to self-adoring sponsoring company — as in other Soviet legacy natural history museums, apart from the mammoth and strange corridors.

They brought fries, and I said something was wrong, like Ulan's style, and they said, "That's not how we make fries." Well, there were a lot of downsides. We stumbled upon this bar in Vinnytsia and were completely blown away by the atmosphere. The open terrace with live DJ music creates a chill, welcoming vibe that’s hard to find anywhere else here. The beer was perfectly cold, the crowd was relaxed, and everyone was just vibing, listening to music, chatting, and enjoying the evening. The owner is so friendly and speaks excellent English, which made us feel even more at home. We were a small group from three different continents, and we all agreed: this place had the best ambiance in town. No one bothered us, and the overall energy was just right. A very beautiful fountain with a fantastic evening light show that features fairy-tale story segments. Frankly, the graphics and storytelling of the fairy-tale aren't very impressive — however, the light show itself is mesmerisingly beautiful and definitely deserves your time of day. It's a good spot to visit with kids and family members. However, note that the show tends to attract a large crowd — so it'd be a good idea to bring your masks or try to find a spot where you can watch it from a distance. Overall we've had a great experience watching the show, and recommend to come see it at least once :)

Pros: + Comparatively big variety of species. + Bears, camels, deer, monkeys and birds are in good conditions. + Comfortable place and atmosphere. + Animals are allowed to be fed. Cons: - Wolves and fox are in small and tight cages and look exhausted. - The child's playground is too close to the cages with birds and monkeys. - The merry-go-round, where children spend their time, is very noisy and squeaky. Other comments: * prices: adults - 70 UAH, children (6+) - 30 UAH, children (3-6) - 10 UAH, children (0-3) - free.

Vinnytsia Planetarium offers an engaging and educational experience for visitors of all ages. With a variety of sessions available, including options for both children and adults, guests can explore topics such as the Solar System, the Milky Way, constellations, and more. The planetarium's special device vividly displays these cosmic wonders on the screen, providing a captivating visual experience that surpasses traditional 3D presentations.
(Translated by Google) Review of "Retro-kutochok Vinnytsia" in the basement, entrance through the planetarium. A worthy collection of television and radio receivers has been collected - from the birth of wireless information transmission to the second half of the 20th century. The owners are former owners of a car, motor, bicycle, and photo radio. Extremely pleasant to talk to, friendly, knowing everything about their exhibits and ready to demonstrate the devices in action. There are unique exhibits like the first USSR TV with a water lens or a radio with a remote control, which were only in the offices of members of the CPSU Central Committee. I strongly recommend visiting.

(Translated by Google) One of the underrated places in Vinnytsia, although the institution deserves its popularity if only because the updated full-dome projection system is modern equipment with good picture quality and it is very different from the equipment of the 60s, which was in the Vinnytsia planetarium until the moment, as in In 2007, part of the premises was leased for warehouses, and the other part existed more nominally. In 2012, after the renovation, the planetarium began to revive a little, and already in 2015, after the installation of updated equipment, this institution again became worth the attention of even those people who were there back in the days of Brezhnev)) Now you can take your grandchildren and come see what has changed for 55 years). Tickets are available - 50-90 hryvnias, but it's best to call and clarify the time of the session in advance) I won't say that the program directly impressed me, but it was interesting to watch it at least once. The child liked it more :) (Original)

(Translated by Google) The main thing to note is that despite the fact that the planetarium opens at 10 am, viewing events begin at 12 noon. The planetarium is cozy, the dome hall is large and well-maintained. The waiting room has comfortable seats with sofas, a photo zone and exhibits about astronomy. (Translated by Google) The planetarium works with a rather active schedule. Three sessions on weekdays and 5 on weekends. There are children's sessions and for adults. But I personally was also interested in the children's. I read bad reviews and thought that everything was bad in general. Yes, this is not the Kyiv planetarium, and the age, and therefore the reactions of the employees are not what they could be. The directorate itself is not interested in advertising and improving the institution. But most importantly, it performs its main function - it is an introduction to the solar system and the information is presented visually. First there was a cartoon, and then an interesting story about the constellations. The girl spoke with great love for her profession. Kids will definitely like it and it's better than gadgets 👍🏽. Tickets at affordable prices 90 hryvnias for adults and 50 hryvnias for children. In the hall itself, there are also large planets and models. Photo area. The toilet is clean. There is also a museum with old things from the times of the USSR. For younger children, it may not be so, but teenagers and adults may find it interesting. The tour guide talks enthusiastically. And near the planetarium is the museum "Vinnytsia in miniature", there is also something to see. The place is cozy and with benches where you can discuss what you have seen.

On March 17, 1992, the Air Force of Ukraine was established following a directive from the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. The headquarters for this new branch was set up in Vinnytsia based on the existing structure of the 24th Air Army. To commemorate this significant event, a MiG-21 aircraft was placed on Peremogy Square in August 1998 at the start of Ivan Bevza Street.
(Translated by Google) The memorable exhibit is a target aircraft with a remote control method M-21M, which was specially converted from a sample of the MiG-21PFM fighter. The aircraft model is mounted on a special semicircular pedestal. The rear of the aircraft is painted in yellow and blue patriotic colors. Thanks to the slight elevation on which it is located, the sculpture is clearly visible even from several hundred meters away. (Translated by Google) It is impossible to appreciate the modern Vinnytsia Philharmonic if you don't attend at least a dozen concerts:) Because if a young person in search of himself falls for the classics, it will be boring and unfamiliar. But as soon as the audience finds their common wave with any team on stage, support for the Philharmonic will only grow:) And without popular support, it will be possible to open a bar or arena for e-sports in the premises in 20-25 years. Of course, the philharmonic hall is not an ultra-modern building in Vinnytsia, but it was built in 1937 and the last renovation was during the Kievan Rus)) but the very activity of preserving classical music and choreographic art is already a feat. There won't be too many complaints about survival conditions here :) Especially since the prices for the concerts are symbolic. It is so small that it is embarrassing to announce such numbers in a well-mannered company. This means that the lack of full halls despite the powerful quality of concerts and ridiculous prices is a sign of the bad tone of the people of Vinnytsia. If you don't know where to start getting to know one another, Leontovych-kapela will help you:) A young successful music brand from Vinnytsia, which is worth talking about, evaluating and admiring its development! I sincerely recommend it to the closest people!

Nice provincial theatre, which is very cosy though and has a lot of performances during the season. (Translated by Google) An interesting historical place. True, at first we got a little lost on the territory. As if there are pointers, but it is not completely clear. Only the ruins of blown-up buildings remain. And a small museum with an exhibition.

(Translated by Google) An extremely poor exposition and as if it is a monument not only to Nazism, but also to serious corruption and hypocrisy:) because such an exhibition will somehow still be held somewhere in the district center, but in a museum complex so famous...and actually the main one in Vinnytsia during the Second World War war Very poor and very disconnected from the context:) Not good for anywhere.

(Translated by Google) A very interesting place. The main thing is to visit the museum, there are all the exhibits and historical things, letters, photographs. And on the territory there are mainly ruins of a Nazi bomb shelter. But that doesn't make it any less interesting. There are guidebooks everywhere with descriptions of events and details of actions in Vinnitsa and throughout Ukraine.

(Translated by Google) Because there is a lot of interesting things, for example, that dog that seems to be guarding. (Original)

(Translated by Google) A tiny museum pavilion as a bonus to the entrance ticket to the territory of Hitler's Headquarters. During historical events, additional exhibits are exhibited.
