A great monument and one you can easily get up close to and admire in all its detail. There isn’t any signage to explain the history, which is a shame, but there’s plenty of other sights nearby to make it worth wandering to. They attempt to light it nicely in the evenings but in an understated way which goes well with the rest of the city. It’s one of the key landmarks and a must see for anyone’s first visit to the city or wanting good photo opportunities.

Well laid out museum in a beautiful building. Very spacious going though the Moldovan history. Sometimes it lacks information but inspires you to use Google. We spent 1h15. The price for an adult is 50 MLD and 20 for students. There are lockers and toilets.

The Museum accommodated is very beautiful building. There isn't any person speaks English so I don't know but the administration should to improve the service. I came across groups of students from the city, apparently instead of a history lesson the children were taken to the history museum. It was very noisy, especially from those students who were bored. Another thing that struck me was that the 7th century is almost not discussed. Thy focus over to refuting Russian propaganda. Otherwise, if it is quiet, the place is worth it and it is quite cheap - only €2.5. I definitely recommend the place because many people didn't know that Moldova was separated from Romania. Many people don't know that Moldova was a principality and is not Russia.

Very nice ortodox church in the center of Chisinau. No dislikes. Like everything.

Built in 1836, it was the headquarters of the Moldovan Orthodox Church, but was bombed and badly damaged during the World War II. It was rebuilt in 1997 and restored in neo-classical style in Chisinau. The interior is decorated with beautiful frescoes.

Met two lovely Moldovans and we all went to church on Sunday was very special and met some lifetime friends. Go check the church out but be ready people are asking for money inside the church.

It's a beautiful cathedral. I'd call it a church, though. A mini version of the one in Odesa, but still beautiful.

No English, no narrative to what is presented, no clear ordering to rooms or exhibited items. 5000 year old fertility icons shown next to 400 year old coins, for some reason. I get it, it is an old museum (135 years old!), but it could and should be updated to modern standards. Certainly an e-guide would be helpful, and also offering better opportunities for photos (less glare-y glass!). The dinosaur/prehistoric animals sections are the best, and in general lots of cool things to see. It is still worth a visit for sure.

It is an interesting museum, but Art one is my favorite. However, this one has some very interesting rooms and exhibits. The women working there were nice. Cheap postcards - package of 32 for 1€ or smrh.

The National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History is absolutely fantastic. What struck me most was the incredible tranquility—it's wonderfully quiet and peaceful inside, offering a genuine sense of escape and reflection. The museum itself is awesome, housing a magnificent collection of Moldovan culture and history. However, the experience is truly defined by the staff. The older women working here are incredibly serious, projecting a powerful, almost stern vibe that makes you feel the weight and importance of the history preserved within those walls. While they didn't speak English, their presence alone added an unforgettable, deeply authentic layer to the visit. Highly, highly recommended if you want a quiet, serious, and culturally rich experience.

Very interesting place to visit with kids or as a couple. Adult ticket costs 10 lei, student ticket is 2 lei while the ticket for taking pictures is 15 lei. The museum is huge. I’ve never imagined that it’s so big, but it is. The animals are beautifully created and look incredibly real. The museum is big with lots of rooms depicting various historical eras and periods. It’s definitely worth visiting.

Total disappointment .This museum was my favourite place to visit many years ago in the times of Soviet Union. Now after years of reconstruction the exposition is much poorer. On the ground floor there are some petrified remains of ancient animals, mollusks, stones. A lot of objects are not even from this area(Uzbekistan ,Crimea, Tajikistan) and half of them are replicas. On the first floor there are some exhibits of flora and fauna, national costume, etc. I was expecting to see exhibits about winemaking, different grape varieties, etc. Nothing of the kind.(And this is just one example).

A small but beautiful museum. I especially recommend you to see if you are interested with weird animals. We were one adult and one student and we payed about 15 lei. Employees are nice and kind. I personally really liked the filled animals and the 3D Moldova map. I really wonder that what is the meaning of the skull and bones under the crosses?

It is a very nice museum and the climb up the staircase was rewarded with a wonderful view. Unfortunately only very little to no explanations in English. Translation with Google lens was almost impossible because the signs are transparent and the text couldn't be recognised.

At the entrance, the ticket attendant kindly gave us complimentary admission tickets. Each floor of the museum displays important artifacts and documents related to the city's history. At the top, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city.

I came here to buy some fruits. Its big huge central market where i found veg fruits and honey. What i liked most is oranically vibrant central market not created for tourism. Loved the place. Note you need to have cash on you to have pleasenet shopping experience.

One of the largest markets I’ve seen and whatever you might want to buy you’re sure to find it here. The food sections are particularly interesting with local produce and some of the more bizarre, that many might find off putting. A great place to go for an insight into local culture and a must visit for anyone’s first time in the city.

An excellent market, messy, noisy, but friendly and colourful. In late May when I visited, the air was full of the smell of strawberries. Fruit and veg, bread and cookies, clothes, electrical goods, and there's a whole hall devoted to cheese! There are many places to get a freshly squeezed juice. I loved it!

A beautiful monastery with very unpleasant nuns. I wasn’t allowed to bring my wheelchair into the chapel because of the nuns, and had to crawl on my knees if I wanted to see the altar.

Beautiful monastery in the outskirts of Chișinău. When I entered , the liturgy was almost over . The monastery itself is big and old . This is a nun monastery. Many don't speak romanian. You can stay here over night but you have to talk to priest Nicolae about it . Overall nice

I have never seen a such amazing orthodox monastery, with its beautiful light blue colour and its golden domes. Inside you can feel a sense of peace.

This is a small but very cozy and easy to navigate museum. The collection is not big, but it is better this way because you can see the whole collection in less than two hours. There is a whole floor, dedicated to paint work by Moldavian and Romanian painters. There is also a lot of oil paint works produced by European painters. The funny thing is that majority of those paintings have no author. Here I’m talking about middle ages paintings. The selection of sculptures is extremely low. I get it that it’s a small country with low population, but this election is still too minimal and few.

Museum with excellent interior design, quite nice works of art and great price. It’s easy to see all of the collection, however it was hard to navigate around the building to see everything in the proper order. Would also love to buy some souvenirs like fridge magnets, postcards, guides and other books but there is no shop in the museum unfortunately. Nice selection of artwork from 1800s all the way to the modern era (there was an exhibition of Moldovian artists from 2022) Entrance was 10 Lei, and about an hour is enough time to see the collection if you don't linger around each peace too long. Very beautiful architecture of the building itself!

What an unexpected gem, beautiful and diverse art, in a stately building. I was very impressed by the quality and breadth of the art on display, and for only 50 lei, you’d be crazy not to visit. Artist name and work title in English, but no other explanations in English. Enjoy!

Great place for walking. There are a lot of paths and this allows you to disperse visitors. There is a feeling that you walk yourself. ;)

One of my favorite places in Chisinau, Moldova, is the Arboretum! We come there year-round to relax and admire the nature. There's a lot of greenery, beautiful shrubs and trees, and plenty of flower beds. The lake is full of fish, and you can feed them from the platform. There are several playgrounds for children, and many come with their families.

Dendrarium Park is a beautiful, green oasis in Chișinău and an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking peace. The park is exceptionally clean and very well-maintained, perfect for a long, quiet walk. It is entirely fenced off, adding to the feeling of security and order. The entrance fee is symbolically low (only 10 MDL) for adults, and children are admitted free, making it excellent value. One important note: The park is not illuminated in the evening. If you plan to stay past sunset, bring a flashlight—or stick to a daytime visit unless you enjoy a truly mysterious, dark stroll! Overall: Highly recommended for relaxation, nature walks, and escaping the city noise. Just respect the sunset!

Great big park, 10 MDL to enter, but there you got a lot of ground to cover. You can sit on the grass, have a picnic, go to a yoga class. The toilet is free and you don't have a store or coffee shop there, so make sure you bring your own water or to eat and drink.

House-Museum The building is where the Russian poet Alexandr Pushkin lived for three months after arriving in the capital of tsarist Bessarabia on September 21, 1820. The house, which at the time belonged to the merchant Naumov, was granted museum status on 10 February 1948. In total, Pushkin spent three years (1820–23) on the territory of the governorate, having previously been exiled here by the tsarist administration.

I had a wonderful and surprisingly calm visit to the Pushkin Museum in Chișinău. The museum is very beautifully arranged and maintained, creating a serene atmosphere that is a true escape from the city bustle. One of the standout features is the staff—the museum is clearly run by older, incredibly kind, and refined people. Their presence added a personal, warm, and respectful touch to the whole experience. Crucially, there was no crowd, which allowed me to take my time and fully appreciate the exhibits. The presentation of Pushkin's life and the historical context is very well-displayed and fascinating. If you are looking for a quiet, deeply historical, and beautifully curated experience, this museum is a must-visit.

I most definitely didn't get the helpful guides. The whole visit lasted a maximum of 15 minutes and that was because I was walking slowly. Not speaking either Russian or Romanian is a great impediment. I could have used translation software, but I couldn't be bothered. I saw nothing about Pushkin's works, which would have interested me. There were just a lot of pictures and some objects. I spent about 30 seconds in the house: the house had to be specially unlocked for me; the rooms were cordoned off and there was a slightly stern looking woman keeping watch over me and waiting for me to be finished. If you speak Romanian and or Russian, go. I was just too stupid to appreciate it, I guess.

They take care of stray cats with so much love - so cute! 🥰 Entrance is only 10 lei, and if you want to take photos it's an additional 10 lei (approximately 50 cents). Great tour! I went on a Friday, the basic tour was 350 and included a 750ml bottle of sparkling wine. The tickets were sold out online, so I just showed up hoping they would have space (they are also on whatsapp, though not very quick to respond). They accept credit card too. The tour guide was knowledgeable and the labyrinth of the cellar is pretty amazing. I didn't do a wine tasting, but did buy some chocolate in the gift shop. Great experience! I was able to find a public transit van/bus that goes to the town, but drops you at the main road intersection (about a 10 to 15 minute walk until you get to the office to buy a ticket).

Visiting Milestii Mici Winery is a must for anyone traveling to Moldova. I was truly impressed by the vastness and overall condition of the tunnels. The tour takes place in an electric car that drives through the underground galleries, stopping several times to explore. The cellars are absolutely stunning, and the English tour provides a great insight into their history.

The biggest wine cellar in the world, with more than 200 km of tunnels. The visit is a fantastic experience: you go into the mine with a little car and explore the caves where they store the wine. We booked the lunch inside the caves with wine tasting. It's a crazy experience. The price is not so expensive for what they offer. We even got a bottle of wine as a gift!

Strongly recommend making if you're in Chisinau When you arrive, check in at the main building by the trains. Options: The 'Hai, Noroc' package was perfect for us - 3 large glasses of wine with some cured meat. We had our own table, and stayed there for 45 mins. It's a great atmosphere - the love music was great (small tips optional). Transport: We took a Yandex from Chisinau (120mld). To return, you can walk to the main road (5 mins) and wait for a marshrutka to Chisinau (20mld per person). Yandex is out of range

While there were no ceremonial guards during our visit, the site is clean, quiet, and respectfully maintained. The Eternity Memorial Complex is seriously one of the most powerful places in Chișinău. It's huge, but the design is what gets you. The central monument—five massive, stylized rifles converging into a pyramid—is a chillingly awesome sight that represents the five tough years of World War II. It's hard not to stop and stare. Standing near the Eternal Flame, you can genuinely feel the weight of history and the huge sacrifices made here. The whole area is super well-maintained—it's quiet, respectful, and a great place for reflection. If you can catch the changing of the guard ceremony, definitely do it; it's genuinely moving. This isn't just a quick photo stop; it's a must-see for understanding the city's spirit. Go in, walk around, and take a moment. You won't forget it.

The Eternity Memorial Chisinau is a memorial located in Chisinäu, Moldova capital. The memorial is located along Marshal Malinovsky Street. It is dedicated to Soviet soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War. The monument was made on 1975 in honour of the Soviet soldiers. The central part of the memorial is a pyramid of five meter tall stone rifles. A 5-pointed star with an eternal flame in the center of the monument.

It's a lovely park and very quiet, perfect for mommies and their kids. It has a big green space for your dogs to run (but be sure to clean after them ) Very easy to get there by public trolley (9 or 13) can take them from the city center or you can walk. Amazing sunsets 😍

Great memorial with lots of history inside! Definitely a MUST. The only problem for me it is the lack of public restroom and that there are wild dogs inside and they are quite protective with their territory.

Lovely garden located to the south east of Chișinău, which can be reached with the trolleybus nr. 22 from the city centre. The garden is very huge, with many trees and ponds with a lot of water birds including ducks. It also boasts other animals such as woodpeckers and squirrels. It's really nice if you want to relax, walk and rest among the lawns. Pity that some areas could not be visited. Entrance for adults is 10 lei.

A beautiful Carmen performance! The accoustics might not be the best, but the singers were amazing and made the most of it! Pretty hot inside, air conditioning would have been great, however the performance was so good, you forget about anything else. Will definitely visit again, I am thoroughly impressed!

Very posh place. You should go there to experience beautiful interiors, feel the power of old School soviet empire and listen to great operas or see Perfect ballet performers :) Tickets are also sold online. During breaks You cen get some sparkling winę and have a dessert.

A place where the ballet is at home. Wonderful and beautiful live music which just brings pleasure to your ears and make them happy. The interior is a bit soviet and old but don't get fooled by appearances, your goal the scene, and the show is gorgeous! The buffet on the other hand is meh lacks proper food and drinks.

Very nice historical place....But it's NOT a MUSEUM. They baptise kids there and also do weddings that's why you can't go inside and have a look. People don't understand that it's a historical place. Not just a church. It's better to put the fee at the entrance and stop doing other business to keep the historical value.

This wooden church, dating back to 1642, is a real gem, being the oldest of its kind in the country and the sole preserver of medieval Moldovan architecture. After nearly a century of neglect, the church was carefully taken apart, restored, and transported beam by beam to Chisinau. Interestingly, 85% of the beams and 70% of the iconostasis are original. Nowadays, the church is bustling with activity, hosting baptisms and weddings. If you're lucky, you might witness one! There's also a small gift shop tucked away underneath. Just keep in mind, while it's a stunning church, it's not a museum or a village. You'll find a smaller church and a few other structures nearby, but unfortunately you won't be able to explore inside.

Authentic historical open air museum, reminds me of Pyrohove near Kyiv or Bunratti in Co. Limerick, Ireland. Yet, way smaller. One main church, plus a few more wooden buildings, also with some religious sense. I've spent quite nice time overall, mostly sitting on a swing bench and enjoying the last warm hours of the 2023 Fall.

While this is a beautiful church- it is NOT a museum! And it is NOT a village. The only place you can enter into is under the church where they have a gift shop and some orthodox icons and such. The church is run as business with back to back baptisms and weddings. There was no historical information or even a chance to see the inside of any of the buildings. There was another chapel behind the main one and a few other structures- but you could not go into any. Of course there is no entrance fee- because it is NOT A MUSEUM.

This place is a hidden gem from Chisinau. Better to visit when it’s a good weather. The near park is good for sunset shots and moon rise. This place have different name, some people call this place “Vosmiorka”. Near the lake there is church made from wood, one of the oldest in the town. This is also a good place for fishing

The main attraction of the Village Museum is the 17th century wooden church that was moved here from village Hârjauca. On weekends the church has a tight schedule of weddings. Moldovans love to show off during weddings and at this time I saw a few ceremonies with pigeons and lengthy photo sessions. In the end one photographer had to cut the shooting session because the batteries of his cameras were exhausted.

Stefan III was the Grand Duke of Moldavia, a hero who fought against the Ottoman Empire and defended his country. He formed an alliance with Hunyadi János of Hungary and Vlad Zepesh, Prince of Dracula. A peaceful and well-kept green space in the center of Chișinău, anchored by the beautiful Nativity Cathedral and its freestanding bell tower. Locals gather here for strolls, chats, and quiet relaxation — you’ll see families, students, and even chess players tucked under the trees. The park offers a nice mix of manicured paths, shady benches, and open space with views of nearby government buildings and monuments. "The Chisinau Circus was built in 1981 by Ala Kirichenko and Simion Shoyhet. The Chisinau State Circus was officially opened in 1981 and was, at the time, a top circus entertainment venue with state-of-the-art equipment and spaces for rehearsals, animals, and veterinarians. It had a capacity of 1,900 seats and the ring was over 40 feet across, making it the largest auditorium in Moldova. Circus artists would travel from near and far (Belarus, China, Finland, Germany, Russia, Ukraine etc.) to perform there, and at its peak, 57 concerts were held there in the space of a year."

A fine piece of a Soviet brutalism architecture style. Abandoned and empty, surrounded by inflatable dinasours, it looks like a set of the next Jurassic Park/World movie franchise (sadly, sans Jeff Goldblum or Chris Patterson).

Nice outside architecture. It's a former building used for the circus but is no longer in use, at least on the inside. Cannot go in. Currently its used on the outside as a dinosaur park for kids. But worth checking out for architecture geeks.

Great experience and wonderful time of relax

What an amazing outstanding place. You know you are on the right path when the place is full of locals!. The food was amazing, the staff efficient and the drinks choices extensive and interesting. The choice of traditional foods and drinks make this place a must for any visitors to Chisinau... as well as the very reasonable prices.

We arrived at 7:40 pm. Stood at the entrance for a while. Nobody greeted and gave us any table. So we sat ourselves on the nearest available table. The whole dining experience improved as soon as Doina showed up to our table. She is friendly and attentive. Thank you The food was good, even we were not hungry. Will have to come back few more times during our short stay in Chisinău.

Literally no flaws! Every dish that we have tried in 3 days was great. Amazing and helpful staff (especially the guy with ruined king tattoo), terrific food. Highly recommend in every aspect.

Tasty traditional food, with lots of varieties. The restaurant has nice decor and is very clean, as well as serving food fast. The pricing is very fair for the food, even in relation to other places in town. Completely recommend it for everyone visiting Moldova!

The menu is varied, but we were only interested in the placintas. The waiter warned us that we'd have to wait up to 30 minutes. The placinta with cottage cheese was excellent, the one with cherries was good. Prices are reasonable.

Great place to get a coffee when shopping at the mall or to go but it’s quite loud and busy. I really recommend the teas and the pumpkin latte, as well as the cannabis coffee!

Then location is not the best, very noisy in the middle of the mall but it has good options, tasty food and drinks, vegan options, same atmosphere as the other coffee shop from the same chain.

Rather small compared to all other museums in Chișinău. + Has an observation deck + Located in a very interesting, historical building - The exhibits are not signed properly. No English translation. - You can hire a guide in advance for 50 lei, but it’s only available in Russian and Romanian. - The stairs are very steep. There’s a small elevator, but it doesn’t take you all the way to the deck

Located opposite the Moldovan Parliament on the main street in Chisinau. The appearance of the four combined towers is both beautiful and interesting. The public are not allowed on the site, but it is worth a visit.

As it is one of not many shopping centres, and in the understanding of the shopping centre I understand it is here alone. There is a cinema, restaurants, few shops. There is even an entertainment area with few rides, but they are there

I like shopping here – there’s a good variety of stores and even a nice movie theater, though it would be better if they showed more English movies. The restauration zone is good, but not clean enough. Overall, it’s an okay mall, but it could be improved.

The stores in the mall ain't much to look at but I do like how they keep their decor updated in accordance with the season/events. Also the shop Cărturești has a very nice layout, its setup makes it look inviting towards every age and type of person no matter if they're interested in books or not.

What a tricky name. Such an amazing pinkish huge mall consist of multi stories and parking. The biggest in the city. It has many shops, brands, restaurants, cafes, stalls, kiosks and the food court on the 4th floor. We used the escalators to the food court and had a pleasant time in food court.

The best shopping mall I have been to in Chisinău. Multi level, clean, modern with everything you need. The top floor has a great selection of restaurants and fast food options. On the lower level a lovely coffee shop with seating area. WiFi is available. Worth the trip for an outing!

This ‘shopping mall****’ has already been mentioned by many people, so I wanted to go and see it. I love the funky sense of fun of the Moldovan company that invented the name and probably overcame a lot of opposition and actually got it built. There is no trace of the former Soviet Union and a high-class atmosphere. As no well-known brands have entered the mall, there are many interesting Moldovan brand shops. Definitely, one of the best restaurants in Chișinău. Sintagma "Acasă la Mama" is it exactly what is written on the name, probably better than that. Every dish has an authentic flavour. The soups are incredible tasty and all the ingredients are belonging to the local Gastronomy. Highly recommended for exquisite clients.

Borscht, both green, and traditional, very good, but the positives generally ended there. The meat plate very average, Cușma lui Guguță dry and stale. The worst part, however, was the service: the lady was very nice at first, but after taking our order she stopped responding to our requests, the homemade salad was forgotten and only after two reminders did another waiter bring the salad along with... desserts. No apology, nothing…

Second time here and it is consistently good. Excellent Mamaliga, Zeama, Sarmale, Muraturi, and Tuica. Musicians were lively and perfect to add just the right ambience. Staff was great and had good English. Took euros too.

Nice place to try some local food and listen folk music while. Stuff don’t know English so it was a bit problematic to order but food quality is good. I recommend to try red borsch soup, it was amazing.

I had the mutton with apple and plums, it was delicious, had it with mamaliga, cheese and sour cream. Very nice place, but the service was really slow.

One of the best cuisines in the heart of Chisinau, there is no better dining option than this place ,simple ,authentic, healthy and tasty as well ,each and every dish having its own flavor and taste ,Well-done to the team and management.

Highly recommended! I found the exhibits quite interesting. I spent nearly 2.5 hours covering the entire museum. It helps if you have a translation app if you don’t understand Romanian or Russian.

Definitely come here if you’re visiting Chişinău. Such an interesting place. You can tell by the photos. Only costs 5lei + 5lei if u want to take photos. It wasnt busy at all, it was me my gf and a random person when i was there.

Fantastic museum! We spent 2.5 hours here looking at all the vehicles, planes, guns, military history. The museum is huge, spanning many floors and includes a section on Jewish history and multiple wars. My 20 yo son loved this place too

Interesting to see how a nation portrays it own (military) history and both the exhibitions on the Soviet era and the war of Transnistria were particularly good. Some more English texts would have been highly appreciated, though 👍

Museum explaining how this part of the world was impacted in the wars of last century. Labels of the items in English as well, but the knowledge of Russian would help you enormously. Very interesting the parts in the lower floor and the external show of tanks, weapons and airplanes. A room dedicated to Chernobyl as well.

Great military history of Moldova. The museum contains thousand-years-ago expositions, as well as expositions of most recent events - Soviet union, famine, Chernobyl and forming of Moldova republic etc. There is also outdoor part of the museum containing military vehicles, artillery and aircraft. The fee is really low, 10 MDL for adult and 10 MDL for camera. Must see for everyone visiting Chisinau.

The full name of this cathedral is quite a mouthful, however, it seems apt having had the pleasure of visiting it. On a stunning day without a cloud in the sky the cathedral roof glinted spectacularly on our approach - it was a real eye-catcher but this was only the warm-up. Inside the Fresco's are absolutely stunning. The depictions are graphic, memorable and remarkable and worthy of praise. I have been to many places of worship around the world but none quite like this.

A nice zoo with a decent variety of animals and very clean overall. A few animals weren’t there during our visit, but it was still a fun and enjoyable outing.

Nice location , beatiful flora, vegetation , but poorly stuffed with animals , except birds and camels. Monkeys non existing , snakes too. Nice sample of zebras. Fair price for offer (less than 2 euros)

Loved the zoo. I loved seeing alot of the animals. I wish Lions and Tigers cages were bigger but apart from that there were great moment. The Owl was supercool. The bear caught a bird flying by for an extra lunch. 30leu to get in was cheap and i bought coffee and fairy floss.

Deeply disappointing. Chisinau Zoo feels like a relic of a bygone era—a post-Soviet prison camp for animals, not a sanctuary. The cages are stark, the eyes behind the bars lifeless. The only creature that stirred a sense of joy was a free crow, splashing in a puddle before soaring into the sky, untethered. It was a quiet reminder: freedom cannot be traded for daily meals. No enclosure, however clean or well-fed, can replace the dignity of the wild.

We loved it so much, you should definitely see the white tiger and also the love of the crows in the cage with these hedgehogs and the piano black colors were great.

Love this park for walks & running. Beautiful lakes and nice trees, especially in the fall. There’s some playgrounds and other activities for kids. You can also grab snacks and coffee and sit on one of the many benches. It’s also possible to rent boats on the lake.

Versatile and clean park in the central area in Chișinău. Kids playgrounds, walking/cycling paths and trails as well as amenities and facilities (wc) located conveniently around the park. Lots of birds, squirrels that are used to feeding whihc is great for kids.

Never expected this place to be so charming in winter. I remember ice skating on these lakes as a child. Today I experienced a flashback seeing the lakes frozen and children having fun on ice. Any season suits the Rose valley park. I truly recommend it for night time walks, the alleys are lit up and the place has got its unique charm.

Nice place for weekend outing for family. I visited this place in autumn, so was lucky to see beautiful colours of fall. There are 3 lakes where you can see ducks and family come here for fishing as well. You can grab a coffee and take a long walk. You can see kids playing, skating and enjoying their day here. Nice family place!!

Such a wonderful place to go picnic, to walk/ run, to eat out or have ice cream, it’s also great for little kids (they have a playground right 100m from the entrance) and not to forget about teens who love to skate around!!

The airport is modern with efficient service. Very clean. During the holiday season it gets quite busy, but I didn’t feel any discomfort because of it. What struck me as very unusual was the sight of numerous luxury Ukrainian cars in the parking lot, which is rather odd for a country at war.

Very nice modern airport. Great "cafe" upstairs offering good quality food and drinks at reasonable prices. The duty free is rubbish, whilst a large range of alcohol, the prices are about 20 percent dearer than UK high street prices. Makes no sense to me. However apart from that the airport is definitely one of the better ones.

I traveled for the first time from this airport, when i visited it it was very clean but airport size is on small side. There are few options of restuarants. Also i like business class lounge. Bathrooms are super clean. Duty free prices is a bit high.

The airport must be expanded as sometimes there could be queues especially on a busy period of the year. Other than that the Airport is quite small but cute. Didn't have any major issues there.

What an unpleasant experience all around. For such a tiny airport, you’d think they have it together! They don’t. Because it’s “National Language Day” (a public holiday in Moldova apparently), the police have closed the entry road to the airport!!! So my driver (who’s unusually kind and sweet for the average Moldovan) regretfully dropped me off outside and I had to drag my suitcase up a broken, steep ramp and walk about 500 metres to the airport entrance. The staff at the airport everywhere are so unfriendly and grouchy. No matter what you ask them and how, they make you feel unwelcome. Even at the Duty Free where they need your business, they seem to feel tortured by it! Avoid this country unless you absolutely have to.

Very small airport , there is like 20 flights a day. The airport bus nr 30 takes you to town and is 6 lei. 2 times per hour. The taxfree and wine selection cannot be used if you have a transfer since they don’t have the agreement with sealed bags. There are two exchange places, some cafees with simple food.

Small and uncomfortable airport. It has many issues they need to fix. First of all it's too crowded. It's impossible to find a sit, so people sitting on the floor on the stairs. Food is not tasty, the stuff is unfriendly.

While the outside has been restored and looks nice, the interior is a bit old and has evidence of water damage in places. It definitely has seen better days but still impressive and the music was good.

The small but beautifully simple white and blue building is the Organ Hall. It regularly hosts concerts by national and international players, and the interior is particularly beautiful. I have seen a few performances in the past month, flute, violins and wind pipes and wow the artists were absolute top! The hall will probably need some repairs but overall it’s a pretty building and what maters most are the performers! The seats along the sides sometimes may have a blocked view due to the columns and don’t have backs on the chairs but overall you can enjoy the music well from all the angles of the room

Wonderful venue! We went there during the international choir festival 'A ruginit frunza din vie' that takes place every autumn.

After renovation, with Romanian grant funda, the place is spectacula in the outside and ok in the inside. Attended several concerts, at Xsmas, piano nights in June - marvelous..

This place was marked as one of the places to visit for my trip and the pastries I had to try from this shop has to be the honey cake and the almond ring. I visited in the evening, the place was not crowded and I was able to get a seat immediately. There were quite a lot of pastries to choose from, though I knew what I wanted I just had to see the full selection and also to make sure the items I wanted were available. I tried asking the staff to recommend me but they weren't able to speak English and hence couldn't understand what I asked. I decided to go ahead with the honey cake and the almond ring and its a self service cafe so you have to bring your own stuff to your own tables. I looked at the pastries they looked good and especially the almond ring it looked very big. I was still wondering if I would still have space for dinner after finishing these. The pastries turned out to be decent but would have expected it to be better. I loved the sweetness of the honey cake, although it's made of honey it was not as sweet as I thought it would be, but I didn't really like the tonne of brown specks on the cake. It didn't affect the taste of the cake but somehow I felt it was kinda like coarse powder swallowed and the aftertaste made the throat kinda uncomfortable which I had to drink quite a lot of water to wash it down. The almond ring was big, but was quite disappointed the whole ring was actually plain and the almond filling was actually right in the middle of the ring. It would be better if it was spread throughout the pastry to bring flavour to the entire bread. I can only say it was okay but not really what I imagined it to be.

"Delights and whimsy" is an apt word for this place. There's no way to resist the goodies, and even the locals know it. I really appreciated the taste for coffee and cakes, but the staff were more than a little overworked. We had to stand in line and wait to order & for a table to be released, which perhaps in the middle of a working day would not have been the case. Overall nice, could be better of course, but only with time.

Best desserts with reasonable price. The honey cake severed here are the best in Chișinău. The cheesecakes are also pretty good but not for everyone. Very cozy place to come and chill with a cup of coffee and a dessert or croissants.

I came here for panna cotta and i loved it and i enjoyed the cool lemonada in warm summer. Place is clean and they allowed me to chsrge my phone. Price is reasonable.

The young female staff speak fluent English, maybe they're university students on a work experience programme or something, but they didn't really understand the three minibus stations in Chisinau when I told them where I was going. For some reason, I couldn't shake the feeling of being an amateur... Sure enough, the bus stop for Orhei was not 'Gara de Nord', as I was told here, but 'Central Bus Station'. I guess they weren't in a position to know all the information, and I don't blame them for their lack of experience. If that was the case, I would have liked to have seen more experienced staff not hiding at the back of the room, but standing with them to assist. I would have liked to have had more accurate traffic information, as inaccurate traffic information can cause major accidents in the timetable. :(( On the other hand, she helped me find a hairdresser under certain conditions for my frivolous request and negotiated the price with me on the phone. I normally don't post review but the service here was terrific and I just had to. I have been to many countries but this is definitely the best tourist information centre I have ever been. The young lady with glasses was very helpful and even sorted out tickets to Cricova on the phone for some customers. I got given really good Moldovan food recommendations. If you are in Moldova, highly recommend visiting this place. I certainly am looking forward to a second trip.

Amazingly helpful staff. Couldn't have been of more help, gave us plenty of advice regarding the transport we had been confused about. Visited twice during our time in Moldova and on each visit had huge smiles and lots of advice for us. Free WiFi which is also incredibly helpful for those a bit turned around in the city.

Although there are lots of stores, including a minority with western countries' preferences of style, almost all of the stores in this mall closes at around 3:30pm to 4:00pm in the afternoon, even if the mall officially closes at 9pm. It's been like this for the past few months. Every time I visit this mall, 95% percent of the stores have already pulled down their metal curtains by half past three in the afternoon. They could have more customers and more potential in success if they open during the hours when people get out of work, but instead, they wait around when their potential customers are still at work and close their small businesses before most of their potential customers get out of work in the afternoon. It's a pity because this mall has better-looking clothes than the other mall across the street. Who told these private business owners that it's best to operate from morning to mid-afternoons? Most of them replicate the same schedule with their opening hours.

You can find a fine range of stores from cheap ones to more middle range. There is no presence of luxury brands here. Still the place is clean and safe. The last floor is full of cafes, restaurants and also a kids entertainment place.

Lot of shops prices is too high. You can find those products other stores much cheaper, I dunno is the place or what that makes experience this difficult. Shop owner's especially those who sell stuff are kinda arrogant, most of shops don't give a receipt acts like they forgot. I think they don't declare most of their money.

I visited this church during a short stay in Chișinău and was warmly welcomed by the people there. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to attend a Mass, but the church itself is beautiful and offers a peaceful space for prayer and reflection.

The Roman-Catholic Cathedral in Chisinau is that kind of place that you must visit even you are not a Christian, or a beliver. :) In front of the church there is a statue of late Pope John Paul II sitting on a bench. The priest was very nice to let us in. But this church did not look at all like churches in Armenia. None of the interesting stone work. Yet the inside was just as boring as every Armenian church. This should not be on the list of tourist attractions in the city. It's a place where people pray, with nothing a tourist would like to see. And it's not near other tourist attractions

It is an amazing park. I have been here first time and i am impressed. I think there are 7 or 8 kids park in side even for displayed kids which is amazing. There are corts for tennis, table tennis, beach volleyball, basketball, several football area, chech play table, padel many places which i can not count. There is also beach with sunbathing. I look forward to come here again in spring and summer

Great park that was recently renovated! Features football fields, ping pong tables, tennis fields, climbing, boat rental, basketball court, sand soccer, playgrounds, and much more. Nature is also great. Easily accessible with a trolley-bus, as it features it's own station.

A lot of green grass, good place to have a walk during the day time, some people like to picnic here.

One of the most beautiful buildings in Chisinau. Date of construction 1891. Architect A.Bernardazzi. Church is active still. There is Throne of Panteleimon the healer. The throne has healing power in my opinion. There are beautifull murals inside the Church. But it requiers restoration works.
