Architectural Buildings
The Triumphal Arch, an iconic landmark in Chisinau, stands proudly at 13 meters tall and was constructed in 1840 to honor the Russian Empire's triumph over the Ottoman Empire during the Russo-Turkish War. This stunning white stone structure is not only a significant historical monument but also a popular photo spot for visitors exploring the city.
Great place to see. Built in 1840, this 13-meter white stone arch with a clock commemorates the Russo-Turkish War.
Monika K — Google review
Understated but classy arch with a nice clock near the Cathedral and a pretty park. Worth a visit but not a special trip to see it. Combine with the foreamentioned places and check out the railway carriages on the other side of the boulevard to learn about the departed peoples, a very sad story in itself.
Phil M — Google review
The Triumphal Arch in Chișinău is a cool landmark right in the city center. It’s got a classic look and stands out with its white stone and the clock on top. Nice spot to snap a few photos, and it’s close to other sights too. Worth a quick stop if you’re exploring the area.
Devrim B — Google review
It is the most visited place in the Chişinău, located in the center of the city. In every season you will see around different decorations related to holy and traditional holidays, markets, exhibitions and concerts sometimes. There is a pretty park around and many pigeons next to cathedral. The Arch is not as big as you expect to be like in the big cities, I consider very important to mention 😺
Natalia P — Google review
One of the most beautiful and valuable monuments in Chisinau. Best place to take photos and content!
Ivan M — Google review
A great monument and one you can easily get up close to and admire in all its detail. There isn’t any signage to explain the history, which is a shame, but there’s plenty of other sights nearby to make it worth wandering to. They attempt to light it nicely in the evenings but in an understated way which goes well with the rest of the city. It’s one of the key landmarks and a must see for anyone’s first visit to the city or wanting good photo opportunities.
Steve B — Google review
The thing had seen the time ) It's a well-worn piece and needs plastering. But overall - fine lookin' piece of architecture 🏛️

Park
Valea Morilor Park is a serene and leafy park located in Chisinau, Moldova. It was established in the 1950s as a Soviet-style Central Park of Culture and Rest, featuring a manmade lake that offers an artificial beach for swimming. The park is popular among locals and tourists for its tranquil atmosphere, walking paths, theater, playground, and small amusement park.
Just beautiful. As a tourist I really enjoyed my visits to this park. It has a very social but warm feel to it and it’s an ideal place to walk around, run around (as I did), or just sit and enjoy the calmness of the place. It seems to be a favourite amongst the locals, and rightfully so. The park is very well preserved and is clean. There are coffee shops along the way and places where one can buy food too. It’s a bit of a walk from the main area of Chişinău, but the efficiency and reliability of the public transport in the city makes it worth while for a visit.
Louis — Google review
A peaceful green space in the heart of Chisinau, perfect for a leisurely walk or quiet reflection. Locals come here with their families, kids, and even fishing poles — adding to the relaxed, lived-in vibe. The lake is the centerpiece, with tree-lined paths circling it and plenty of benches to take it all in. The cascading staircase leading down to the lake adds a touch of drama and charm. Not overly touristy — just an authentic slice of local life in motion.
Sa S — Google review
Amazing place to visit, A quiet, green park by the lake, with walking paths, a theater, a playground and a small amusement park. Many tracks around, lovely views
Monika K — Google review
Valea Morilor is genuinely a fantastic park and a must-visit when in Chișinău. It’s so expansive and well-maintained that you could easily spend the entire day here exploring. The park's centerpiece is the large lake, surrounded by excellent, clean paths perfect for a long, peaceful walk, jogging, or cycling. The renovated Cascades Staircase is a stunning architectural feature and offers great views. It's a popular spot, but the sheer size ensures it never feels crowded. It offers a genuine, calm escape from urban noise. Overall: A beautiful green space, clean, and ideal for spending hours in nature. Highly recommended
Happy H — Google review
Beautiful park. Well maintained, multiple activities to do: walking, running, bike riding, paddleboarding, etc
Terna V — Google review
The nicest park in the city, you can easily walk around the lake. Not that many places to eat or have proper coffee though

Nice place to go for a walk in the evening. Very safe and clean. Lots of people playing and doing sports.

Certainly, here's a concise review of Valea Morilor Park in English: Valea Morilor Park in Chișinău, Moldova, is a beautiful green oasis perfect for escaping city life. It features a large artificial lake, lush greenery, and the stunning 218-step Cascades Staircase. It's a great spot for walks, cycling, or simply relaxing. The park also boasts a summer theater that hosts cultural events. Overall, it's an excellent destination for families, nature lovers, and anyone seeking outdoor recreation.

The National History Museum of Moldova, located in the historical center of Chisinau, is a must-see attraction with over 165,000 items showcasing the country's rich heritage. Despite the need for renovations, the museum offers intriguing exhibits that provide insight into Moldova's history from ancient times to modern-day. Visitors can explore diverse exhibitions covering various periods such as the Middle Ages, World War II, and the Soviet era.
One of the best museums I've seen. Really engulfing, with many beautiful objects and great narrative about Moldova's history. I recommend visiting it to everyone.
Igor R — Google review
I did not like the museum. Maybe it is just a preference for what to see, but it was kinda not interesting, too soviet/communism related. The building is big, and halls too, but all feels rather empty. Art museum is much better
Filip N — Google review
Well laid out museum in a beautiful building. Very spacious going though the Moldovan history. Sometimes it lacks information but inspires you to use Google. We spent 1h15. The price for an adult is 50 MLD and 20 for students. There are lockers and toilets.
CJ — Google review
The Museum accommodated is very beautiful building. There isn't any person speaks English so I don't know but the administration should to improve the service. I came across groups of students from the city, apparently instead of a history lesson the children were taken to the history museum. It was very noisy, especially from those students who were bored. Another thing that struck me was that the 7th century is almost not discussed. Thy focus over to refuting Russian propaganda. Otherwise, if it is quiet, the place is worth it and it is quite cheap - only €2.5. I definitely recommend the place because many people didn't know that Moldova was separated from Romania. Many people don't know that Moldova was a principality and is not Russia.
Asen K — Google review
A good collection of exhibits about the history of Moldova. Educational. You can buy souvenirs at the cash desk. I recommend visiting.

Beautiful building that has been carefully restored, ans which in itself is worth visiting. Lots of artefacts and exhibitions about Moldovan history, though a little more English texts would have been nice.

It is one of the most significant landmarks in the town and is located at the heart of the city center. The cathedral is renowned for its size, making it an important architectural gem within the locality.
A terrific place to begin your walking tour of Chisinau. Along with this beautiful church is the park it sets in.

Beautiful place in Chisinau The Nativity of Christ Cathedral in Chișinău is a jewel of classicist architecture dating back to 1836, a spiritual symbol of the city, and the most important Orthodox church in Moldova. Its monumental structure and beautiful interior create an admirable atmosphere, Entrance is free
Monika K — Google review
Very nice ortodox church in the center of Chisinau. No dislikes. Like everything.
Raimonds R — Google review
Built in 1836, it was the headquarters of the Moldovan Orthodox Church, but was bombed and badly damaged during the World War II. It was rebuilt in 1997 and restored in neo-classical style in Chisinau. The interior is decorated with beautiful frescoes.

Met two lovely Moldovans and we all went to church on Sunday was very special and met some lifetime friends. Go check the church out but be ready people are asking for money inside the church.

The National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History is a well-known museum in Chisinau that showcases various exhibits on Moldovan culture, natural history, animals, old books and decorations. The museum has over 15 halls with an impressive collection on display. While there is no ethnographic project available on the premises, the museum boasts great architecture and a lovely garden.
Nice museum, is way bigger than it seems. There are many additional rooms underground. On many things you can find an englisch translation, we paid 25 lei per person if I remember correctly (students)
Zitronenbaum — Google review
No English, no narrative to what is presented, no clear ordering to rooms or exhibited items. 5000 year old fertility icons shown next to 400 year old coins, for some reason. I get it, it is an old museum (135 years old!), but it could and should be updated to modern standards. Certainly an e-guide would be helpful, and also offering better opportunities for photos (less glare-y glass!). The dinosaur/prehistoric animals sections are the best, and in general lots of cool things to see. It is still worth a visit for sure.
Alon D — Google review
It is an interesting museum, but Art one is my favorite. However, this one has some very interesting rooms and exhibits. The women working there were nice. Cheap postcards - package of 32 for 1€ or smrh.
Filip N — Google review
The National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History is absolutely fantastic. What struck me most was the incredible tranquility—it's wonderfully quiet and peaceful inside, offering a genuine sense of escape and reflection. The museum itself is awesome, housing a magnificent collection of Moldovan culture and history. However, the experience is truly defined by the staff. The older women working here are incredibly serious, projecting a powerful, almost stern vibe that makes you feel the weight and importance of the history preserved within those walls. While they didn't speak English, their presence alone added an unforgettable, deeply authentic layer to the visit. Highly, highly recommended if you want a quiet, serious, and culturally rich experience.
Happy H — Google review
Very interesting place to visit with kids or as a couple. Adult ticket costs 10 lei, student ticket is 2 lei while the ticket for taking pictures is 15 lei. The museum is huge. I’ve never imagined that it’s so big, but it is. The animals are beautifully created and look incredibly real. The museum is big with lots of rooms depicting various historical eras and periods. It’s definitely worth visiting.
Nataly N — Google review
More beautiful pieces of Moldova botanical and animals. Also, there is an AMAZING old carcass of the elephant’s ancestor 🤩
Walid — Google review
Total disappointment .This museum was my favourite place to visit many years ago in the times of Soviet Union. Now after years of reconstruction the exposition is much poorer. On the ground floor there are some petrified remains of ancient animals, mollusks, stones. A lot of objects are not even from this area(Uzbekistan ,Crimea, Tajikistan) and half of them are replicas. On the first floor there are some exhibits of flora and fauna, national costume, etc. I was expecting to see exhibits about winemaking, different grape varieties, etc. Nothing of the kind.(And this is just one example).
Oleg O — Google review
A small but beautiful museum. I especially recommend you to see if you are interested with weird animals. We were one adult and one student and we payed about 15 lei. Employees are nice and kind. I personally really liked the filled animals and the 3D Moldova map. I really wonder that what is the meaning of the skull and bones under the crosses?

Former Water Tower in Chisinau is a unique museum housed in a historical building that once served as a crucial part of the city's infrastructure. Originally built as a water tower in 1892, it later transformed into a fire tower with a water cistern on the upper level and close proximity to a fire station. The museum offers visitors an opportunity to explore the city's history through various exhibits on each floor while enjoying panoramic views from the top.
Enjoyed my visit to this lovely building that used to be the original water tower and is now an interesting museum.

It is a very nice museum and the climb up the staircase was rewarded with a wonderful view. Unfortunately only very little to no explanations in English. Translation with Google lens was almost impossible because the signs are transparent and the text couldn't be recognised.

Chisinau Central Market, or Piata Centrala, is a vibrant hub nestled in the heart of Chisinau that offers an authentic taste of Moldovan culture. This historical market has been a staple since the early 20th century and features an extensive array of stalls brimming with fresh fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats, and baked goods. As you wander through its bustling alleys, you'll discover local specialties like honey and dried fruits alongside imported tropical delights.
Literally, one of the wonders of the world. Don’t miss it. Get some Salata coreană, fresh veggies, dried plums, pj’s and a hat. It’s one of the best and i am a connoisseur of these Eastern European markets!

One of the largest markets I’ve seen and whatever you might want to buy you’re sure to find it here. The food sections are particularly interesting with local produce and some of the more bizarre, that many might find off putting. A great place to go for an insight into local culture and a must visit for anyone’s first time in the city.

An excellent market, messy, noisy, but friendly and colourful. In late May when I visited, the air was full of the smell of strawberries. Fruit and veg, bread and cookies, clothes, electrical goods, and there's a whole hall devoted to cheese! There are many places to get a freshly squeezed juice. I loved it!

The Ciuflea Monastery, constructed in 1858, is a stunning structure with a blue exterior and gold domes. This church and monastery is located at the city center and offers free entrance to visitors. The building houses the tombs of its founding brothers, surrounded by well-maintained gardens and benches along its entrance lane. Visitors are required to adhere to a dress code that includes covering knees, arms, and head for women.
Mănăstirea Ciuflea is a Moldovan Orthodox monastery with a history that dates back to the 19th century, when it was built by two brothers. The brothers are buried at the entrance to the church on the right. The church's beautiful blue colour with the golden top makes it a striking feature in the city of Chisinau. But not only that, the earnest prayers inside were more heartfelt than I have felt in a long time.
T. G — Google review
A beautiful monastery with very unpleasant nuns. I wasn’t allowed to bring my wheelchair into the chapel because of the nuns, and had to crawl on my knees if I wanted to see the altar.
Berit Å — Google review

Beautiful monastery in the outskirts of Chișinău. When I entered , the liturgy was almost over . The monastery itself is big and old . This is a nun monastery. Many don't speak romanian. You can stay here over night but you have to talk to priest Nicolae about it . Overall nice

Ciuflea Monastery, situated close to the city center, is a historical gem. Despite its relatively grand size when viewed from the outside, the church itself is remarkably compact. The intricately adorned walls and ceilings, along with the impressive collection of furniture, sculptures, and paintings, are truly captivating, all meticulously preserved. Within the monastery, you'll discover a souvenir shop, offering an opportunity to select thoughtful gifts for your loved ones. The well-manicured garden adds to the charm, providing a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Museums
The National Museum of Fine Arts of Moldova, established in 1939, showcases a diverse collection of local and international paintings, sculptures, and other artworks. Originally founded as the first Picture Gallery of Chisinau by sculptor Alexandru Plamadeala, it has evolved into a significant cultural institution. Housed in a historic mid-19th century building designed by renowned architect Alexander Bernardazzi, the museum is not only known for its impressive art collection but also for its architectural significance.
I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. I had a wonderful 4-hours here, taking pictures and wondering about without being followed. I am absolutely surprised how extensive and beautiful the collection is. Definitely a great first stop while visiting Chisinau!
Thomas T — Google review
This is a small but very cozy and easy to navigate museum. The collection is not big, but it is better this way because you can see the whole collection in less than two hours. There is a whole floor, dedicated to paint work by Moldavian and Romanian painters. There is also a lot of oil paint works produced by European painters. The funny thing is that majority of those paintings have no author. Here I’m talking about middle ages paintings. The selection of sculptures is extremely low. I get it that it’s a small country with low population, but this election is still too minimal and few.
Nurseit N — Google review
Museum with excellent interior design, quite nice works of art and great price. It’s easy to see all of the collection, however it was hard to navigate around the building to see everything in the proper order. Would also love to buy some souvenirs like fridge magnets, postcards, guides and other books but there is no shop in the museum unfortunately. I didn’t know that there would be an Ivan Ajvazovsky painting tho!
Albert D — Google review
Very nice selection especially of sculptures, though limited info about the pieces and artists. Still highly recommended for a glimpse of local art and culture.
Ioana T — Google review
This is a true treasure, offering visitors a rich journey through the history of art, from ancient to modern times. With its impressive collection of both local and international masterpieces, the museum beautifully showcases Moldova's cultural heritage while offering a deep connection to European art traditions. The atmosphere is both calm and inspiring, allowing art lovers to immerse themselves in a world of creativity and history, leaving them with a renewed appreciation for the power of artistic expression.

Perfect museum with a very bright and spacious atmosphere! Would be really worth to visit. Entrance fee 10 MDLs per adult and if you want to take pictures inside you pay 15 MDLs extra per adult. So, no photos only visit 10, visit with photos 25 MDLs 😊

Nice selection of artwork from 1800s all the way to the modern era (there was an exhibition of Moldovian artists from 2022) Entrance was 10 Lei, and about an hour is enough time to see the collection if you don't linger around each peace too long. Very beautiful architecture of the building itself!
Iggy G — Google review
What an unexpected gem, beautiful and diverse art, in a stately building. I was very impressed by the quality and breadth of the art on display, and for only 50 lei, you’d be crazy not to visit. Artist name and work title in English, but no other explanations in English. Enjoy!

Dendrariu Park is an urban green space that houses a variety of recreational facilities such as playgrounds, sports grounds, fountains, and gardens. The park also offers trails for walking or jogging and features a lake with benches for relaxation. The area is decorated with statues of past monarchs that add to its historical significance. Although some parts of the park may appear dull during certain seasons, it still offers beautiful scenery that can be captured in photos.
Beautiful garden to the north west of the city. Lots of trees, including magnolias and many more, flowers (tulips, daffodils, pansies). You can reach the garden with the trolleybus nr. 22 which it takes about 20 minutes from the city centre (trolleybus stop: Strada Ștefan Neaga). The ride on the trolleybus is 6 lei and the entrance to the garden is 10 lei (adults).

One of my favorite places in Chisinau, Moldova, is the Arboretum! We come there year-round to relax and admire the nature. There's a lot of greenery, beautiful shrubs and trees, and plenty of flower beds. The lake is full of fish, and you can feed them from the platform. There are several playgrounds for children, and many come with their families.

Dendrarium Park is a beautiful, green oasis in Chișinău and an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking peace. The park is exceptionally clean and very well-maintained, perfect for a long, quiet walk. It is entirely fenced off, adding to the feeling of security and order. The entrance fee is symbolically low (only 10 MDL) for adults, and children are admitted free, making it excellent value. One important note: The park is not illuminated in the evening. If you plan to stay past sunset, bring a flashlight—or stick to a daytime visit unless you enjoy a truly mysterious, dark stroll! Overall: Highly recommended for relaxation, nature walks, and escaping the city noise. Just respect the sunset!

Great big park, 10 MDL to enter, but there you got a lot of ground to cover. You can sit on the grass, have a picnic, go to a yoga class. The toilet is free and you don't have a store or coffee shop there, so make sure you bring your own water or to eat and drink.

The park I visited today was a wonderful place that offered the tranquility of nature and an escape from the stress of city life. With its expansive green spaces, colorful flowers, and serene pond, it felt like a slice of paradise. Walking along the park's trails while listening to the chirping of birds truly refreshed my spirit. This park, where people of all ages can enjoy themselves, is one of the most beautiful spots in the city.

The Alexander Pushkin Museum in Chisinau is a must-visit cultural attraction for art and history enthusiasts. Housed in a beautiful 19th-century mansion, the museum boasts an impressive collection of Russian and European art, including paintings, sculptures, and decorative pieces. It also offers insights into the life and works of the famous poet through exhibits showcasing his books and lifestyle. While English information is limited, visitors can still appreciate the well-maintained apartment where Pushkin briefly lived.
Great place. Minimalistic, yet cute and interesting. Ladies working there are really nice and try to explain things, even if there is a language barrier. Thank you!

House-Museum of Alexandr Pushkin (Romanian: Casa-muzeu „Aleksandr Pușkin”) is a museum and architectural monument in Moldova of national value. It is included in the Register of monuments of history and culture of the municipality of Chișinău. House-Museum The building is where the Russian poet Alexandr Pushkin lived for three months after arriving in the capital of tsarist Bessarabia on September 21, 1820. The house, which at the time belonged to the merchant Naumov, was granted museum status on 10 February 1948. In total, Pushkin spent three years (1820–23) on the territory of the governorate, having previously been exiled here by the tsarist administration.

This visit offers a rare glimpse into how he — and others of that era — truly lived, from the intimate setting of the bedroom to a museum filled with authentic artifacts and traces of family genealogy. You’ll also discover some unexpected highlights, like the whimsical Baba Yaga house tucked away at the back of the garden. Whether or not you’re a museum enthusiast, this experience is perfect — compact, immersive, and surprisingly rich.

I had a wonderful and surprisingly calm visit to the Pushkin Museum in Chișinău. The museum is very beautifully arranged and maintained, creating a serene atmosphere that is a true escape from the city bustle. One of the standout features is the staff—the museum is clearly run by older, incredibly kind, and refined people. Their presence added a personal, warm, and respectful touch to the whole experience. Crucially, there was no crowd, which allowed me to take my time and fully appreciate the exhibits. The presentation of Pushkin's life and the historical context is very well-displayed and fascinating. If you are looking for a quiet, deeply historical, and beautifully curated experience, this museum is a must-visit.
Happy H — Google review
I most definitely didn't get the helpful guides. The whole visit lasted a maximum of 15 minutes and that was because I was walking slowly. Not speaking either Russian or Romanian is a great impediment. I could have used translation software, but I couldn't be bothered. I saw nothing about Pushkin's works, which would have interested me. There were just a lot of pictures and some objects. I spent about 30 seconds in the house: the house had to be specially unlocked for me; the rooms were cordoned off and there was a slightly stern looking woman keeping watch over me and waiting for me to be finished. If you speak Romanian and or Russian, go. I was just too stupid to appreciate it, I guess.

They take care of stray cats with so much love - so cute! 🥰 Entrance is only 10 lei, and if you want to take photos it's an additional 10 lei (approximately 50 cents). Great way to learn more about Puškin's life and what Chisinau was like while he lived there.

The park is telling you the story.... Historic place, indeed and very popular too. Great spot for meeting and socialising with friends and family. Mileștii Mici Winery, located in the wine paradise of Moldova, is renowned for its esteemed and favored wine production. As the oldest storage location for 'holy wine' in Chisinau, it holds a high reputation globally. The winery offers guided tours in various languages, providing fascinating insights into their winemaking process. While reaching the winery can be challenging, the staff is accommodating and readily assists visitors.
5-Star Review for Milestii Mici Winery Visiting Milestii Mici was nothing short of magical. As the world’s largest winery, it absolutely lives up to its reputation and then some. The moment you enter the underground labyrinth, you’re transported into a different world — over 200 kilometers of tunnels lined with the most exquisite wines you can imagine. It’s not just a tour; it’s an experience that blends history, tradition, and sheer grandeur. The guides were knowledgeable and passionate, offering fascinating insights into the winemaking process and the unique characteristics of Moldovan wines. The wine tasting was a highlight — every sip told a story, and the selections were both diverse and top-quality. Their collection of rare vintage bottles is truly impressive, and the atmosphere of the tasting halls carved in limestone adds an unforgettable charm. If you’re a wine lover, Milestii Mici is an absolute must-visit. It’s not just the scale that impresses, but the authenticity, the warmth of the people, and the pride in every bottle. A world-class destination — five stars without a doubt!

Great tour! I went on a Friday, the basic tour was 350 and included a 750ml bottle of sparkling wine. The tickets were sold out online, so I just showed up hoping they would have space (they are also on whatsapp, though not very quick to respond). They accept credit card too. The tour guide was knowledgeable and the labyrinth of the cellar is pretty amazing. I didn't do a wine tasting, but did buy some chocolate in the gift shop. Great experience! I was able to find a public transit van/bus that goes to the town, but drops you at the main road intersection (about a 10 to 15 minute walk until you get to the office to buy a ticket).
Angela A — Google review
Walking through Mileștii Mici felt surreal—like entering an underground city of wine. Endless tunnels carved into the limestone stretch for miles, stacked with bottles that look more like a treasure hoard than a cellar. The cool air, the dim light, and the sheer scale make it an experience as much as a tasting. The wines themselves are smooth and approachable, especially paired with the traditional snacks they serve. It’s one of those places where you don’t just drink the wine—you feel the history bottled in every glass.
Axel — Google review
Visiting Milestii Mici Winery is a must for anyone traveling to Moldova. I was truly impressed by the vastness and overall condition of the tunnels. The tour takes place in an electric car that drives through the underground galleries, stopping several times to explore. The cellars are absolutely stunning, and the English tour provides a great insight into their history.
Arthur L — Google review
The biggest wine cellar in the world, with more than 200 km of tunnels. The visit is a fantastic experience: you go into the mine with a little car and explore the caves where they store the wine. We booked the lunch inside the caves with wine tasting. It's a crazy experience. The price is not so expensive for what they offer. We even got a bottle of wine as a gift!

Strongly recommend making if you're in Chisinau When you arrive, check in at the main building by the trains. Options: The 'Hai, Noroc' package was perfect for us - 3 large glasses of wine with some cured meat. We had our own table, and stayed there for 45 mins. It's a great atmosphere - the love music was great (small tips optional). Transport: We took a Yandex from Chisinau (120mld). To return, you can walk to the main road (5 mins) and wait for a marshrutka to Chisinau (20mld per person). Yandex is out of range

Eternity Memorial Complex is a significant and solemn site dedicated to soldiers who perished in World War II. The complex features a huge war memorial park with a massive monument and an eternal flame. Visitors can witness the changing of the guard ceremony, which is particularly moving during national holidays. Families often visit the park, enjoying its peaceful atmosphere and green spaces for children and dogs to play.
In contrast to the adjacent city cemetery, this place is a very open space, featuring mostly very large memorials. The main memorial is a group of stylised concrete rifles converging above the Eternal Flame. The plaza is flanked on one side by a group of imposing red bas reliefs. There are some stray dogs who live here, but they seem harmless.
Richard B — Google review
A striking and solemn tribute to Moldova’s fallen soldiers, especially those from World War II. We took a taxi from our hotel and asked the driver to wait, expecting a brief visit — but the monument draws you in. The central structure, shaped like a five-pointed star with an eternal flame, is surrounded by dramatic sculptural elements and commemorative walls that add context to the wartime sacrifices. While there were no ceremonial guards during our visit, the site is clean, quiet, and respectfully maintained. It’s more than a photo stop — it’s a place to pause, reflect, and absorb a somber part of the city’s history.
Sa S — Google review
A beautiful place built in the 20th century and it has a great history. If you want to understand the statues and symbols there, I think it is advisable to talk to a local guide from Chisinau in advance to help you understand the place and delve into its history.
Nizar — Google review
The Eternity Memorial Complex is seriously one of the most powerful places in Chișinău. It's huge, but the design is what gets you. The central monument—five massive, stylized rifles converging into a pyramid—is a chillingly awesome sight that represents the five tough years of World War II. It's hard not to stop and stare. Standing near the Eternal Flame, you can genuinely feel the weight of history and the huge sacrifices made here. The whole area is super well-maintained—it's quiet, respectful, and a great place for reflection. If you can catch the changing of the guard ceremony, definitely do it; it's genuinely moving. This isn't just a quick photo stop; it's a must-see for understanding the city's spirit. Go in, walk around, and take a moment. You won't forget it.

A beautiful springtime respite from the the urban clamor. Village Museum is an open-air museum located in Chisinau, offering a tranquil green setting with traditional architecture. The highlight of the museum is the wooden church of the Dormition of Mary of Hiriseni, dating back to 1642 and being the oldest of its kind in Moldova. This church has been carefully restored and serves as an ethnographic museum, preserving medieval Moldovan architecture. Visitors can witness baptisms and weddings taking place here.
Wonderful and important cultural museum very near Chisnau airport. Easy to get to onbthe bus (if only they had luggage storage). I just brought my bags along. Or get a taxi. Peaceful encapsulation of what life was like before the Soviets came. Well preserved wooden medeival tower church, meticulously maintained gardens.

Very nice historical place....But it's NOT a MUSEUM. They baptise kids there and also do weddings that's why you can't go inside and have a look. People don't understand that it's a historical place. Not just a church. It's better to put the fee at the entrance and stop doing other business to keep the historical value.
Oxie G — Google review
Beautiful, but not a museum, not many houses. The church is actively used.
Stefan C — Google review
This wooden church, dating back to 1642, is a real gem, being the oldest of its kind in the country and the sole preserver of medieval Moldovan architecture. After nearly a century of neglect, the church was carefully taken apart, restored, and transported beam by beam to Chisinau. Interestingly, 85% of the beams and 70% of the iconostasis are original. Nowadays, the church is bustling with activity, hosting baptisms and weddings. If you're lucky, you might witness one! There's also a small gift shop tucked away underneath. Just keep in mind, while it's a stunning church, it's not a museum or a village. You'll find a smaller church and a few other structures nearby, but unfortunately you won't be able to explore inside.
Elena E — Google review
Authentic historical open air museum, reminds me of Pyrohove near Kyiv or Bunratti in Co. Limerick, Ireland. Yet, way smaller. One main church, plus a few more wooden buildings, also with some religious sense. I've spent quite nice time overall, mostly sitting on a swing bench and enjoying the last warm hours of the 2023 Fall.
Yuri D — Google review
While this is a beautiful church- it is NOT a museum! And it is NOT a village. The only place you can enter into is under the church where they have a gift shop and some orthodox icons and such. The church is run as business with back to back baptisms and weddings. There was no historical information or even a chance to see the inside of any of the buildings. There was another chapel behind the main one and a few other structures- but you could not go into any. Of course there is no entrance fee- because it is NOT A MUSEUM.

This place is a hidden gem from Chisinau. Better to visit when it’s a good weather. The near park is good for sunset shots and moon rise. This place have different name, some people call this place “Vosmiorka”. Near the lake there is church made from wood, one of the oldest in the town. This is also a good place for fishing

The main attraction of the Village Museum is the 17th century wooden church that was moved here from village Hârjauca. On weekends the church has a tight schedule of weddings. Moldovans love to show off during weddings and at this time I saw a few ceremonies with pigeons and lengthy photo sessions. In the end one photographer had to cut the shooting session because the batteries of his cameras were exhausted.

Nestled in the heart of Stefan cel Mare Central Park, the Stephen the Great Monument stands as a tribute to one of Romania's most revered historical figures, Stephen III of Moldavia. Erected in 1927, this striking bronze statue commemorates a medieval ruler who valiantly defended his territory against Ottoman forces during the 15th century.
The “Stephen the Great” monument is a symbol of the city and an integral part of its identity. This historical figure holds great importance for Chișinău. Countless meetings and romantic dates have likely taken place by this monument. It stands as the gateway to the park and a true emblem of the city.

Impressive statue of Stephen The Great looking out over the Central Square in Chisinau.

Stefan III was the Grand Duke of Moldavia, a hero who fought against the Ottoman Empire and defended his country. He formed an alliance with Hunyadi János of Hungary and Vlad Zepesh, Prince of Dracula. The site of this statue of King Stefan III is Stefan Cserle Mare Park, which is a recreational area for local residents. # Chisinau # Chișinău # Moldova

Cathedral Park, home to the Nativity Cathedral, is a historical and culturally enriching destination in Chisinau. The neoclassical cathedral, dating back to 1830, serves as the main Moldovan Orthodox church. The park offers a serene atmosphere for relaxation and contemplation, with well-maintained grounds and a 'writers' alley' that delves into the literary history of the area.
Decorations for the orthodox Easter. This is the best time to admire the tulips which give the square a charming and colourful atmosphere. You can have a walk or relax on bench and enjoy your time with your family, children and friends.
Simone C — Google review
A peaceful and well-kept green space in the center of Chișinău, anchored by the beautiful Nativity Cathedral and its freestanding bell tower. Locals gather here for strolls, chats, and quiet relaxation — you’ll see families, students, and even chess players tucked under the trees. The park offers a nice mix of manicured paths, shady benches, and open space with views of nearby government buildings and monuments. A great spot to get a feel for the city’s rhythm — especially around sunset when the golden light hits the cathedral’s white facade. Don’t miss the nearby Arch of Triumph, just a short walk across the road.

The Chișinău State Circus, originally built in 1981 and restored in 2014, is a stunning example of social realist architecture. With its intricate reliefs and impressive design, it's a must-see for architecture enthusiasts. The circus offers various performances, but it's recommended to skip those involving live animals.
Currently being refurbished. Fantastic looking example of socialist modernism. Check out the juggling clowns above the door.

"The Chisinau Circus was built in 1981 by Ala Kirichenko and Simion Shoyhet. The Chisinau State Circus was officially opened in 1981 and was, at the time, a top circus entertainment venue with state-of-the-art equipment and spaces for rehearsals, animals, and veterinarians. It had a capacity of 1,900 seats and the ring was over 40 feet across, making it the largest auditorium in Moldova. Circus artists would travel from near and far (Belarus, China, Finland, Germany, Russia, Ukraine etc.) to perform there, and at its peak, 57 concerts were held there in the space of a year."

A fine piece of a Soviet brutalism architecture style. Abandoned and empty, surrounded by inflatable dinasours, it looks like a set of the next Jurassic Park/World movie franchise (sadly, sans Jeff Goldblum or Chris Patterson).

Local history museum
The Chisinau City History Museum, located in a historic building, offers an insightful journey through the city's development from its inception to the present day. The museum features captivating collections showcasing various periods such as the Russian Empire occupation, the Great Unification of Romanians, and Soviet occupation. Visitors can also enjoy panoramic views of the city from the top floor viewing deck. The beautifully restored old water tower provides a unique setting for exploring local history and offers great vistas of the city.
Not your average museum, as it is located in what appears to be an old water tower. However, despite its small size and small rooms, I feel like it’s worth a visit while you’re in Chişinău. Almost all of the text was in Romanian, and of course some of the exhibits themselves were in Russian given their Soviet heritage. I spent around 30 minutes just looking at what was on display rather than reading everything and so if you want a quick stop, it is worth it for that alone. The staff are friendly, were welcoming, and despite the language barrier gave me directions on where to go first. There were lots of spiral stairs to climb, or a lift can be used as an alternative. Entry price was 30MDL (~ £1.28), and I paid with cash. Not sure if card is accepted but most places in Chişinău do accept card anyway. Oh, and there is a nice view at the top of the water tower overlooking parts of the city, as well as Valea Morilor Park.

Rather small compared to all other museums in Chișinău. + Has an observation deck + Located in a very interesting, historical building - The exhibits are not signed properly. No English translation. - You can hire a guide in advance for 50 lei, but it’s only available in Russian and Romanian. - The stairs are very steep. There’s a small elevator, but it doesn’t take you all the way to the deck

The Sala Clasica is bright and open with an adorable kitchen setup, while the Aristocrat Hall exudes a more historic feel with white-clothed tables and iron chandeliers.
Traditional Romanian and Moldovan Cuisine paired with traditional ambience. Best part was a separate section for vegetarians in the Menu. They have very good traditional live music during evenings. We enjoyed the food, place and music so much that we visited it thrice in a week. Their beans soup and fried potatoes (they serve it along side cooked semolina) were amazing. This ‘shopping mall****’ has already been mentioned by many people, so I wanted to go and see it. I love the funky sense of fun of the Moldovan company that invented the name and probably overcame a lot of opposition and actually got it built. Borscht, both green, and traditional, very good, but the positives generally ended there. The meat plate very average, Cușma lui Guguță dry and stale. The worst part, however, was the service: the lady was very nice at first, but after taking our order she stopped responding to our requests, the homemade salad was forgotten and only after two reminders did another waiter bring the salad along with... desserts. No apology, nothing…

Since 1992, it has been restored to its original function as a church and is open to the public.
The golden top and roof are seemingly loud, which is supposed to represent one of the faith and conscience in Chisinau. It was built between 1898 and 1902, and the dome was once used as a planetarium during the Cold War when Gagarin successfully went into space. After several renovations, it is in its current form.

The full name of this cathedral is quite a mouthful, however, it seems apt having had the pleasure of visiting it. On a stunning day without a cloud in the sky the cathedral roof glinted spectacularly on our approach - it was a real eye-catcher but this was only the warm-up. Inside the Fresco's are absolutely stunning. The depictions are graphic, memorable and remarkable and worthy of praise. I have been to many places of worship around the world but none quite like this.

Opened in 1978, Grădina Zoologică is a zoo that houses rare and endangered animals. It boasts a lake populated with waterfowl and an aviary. Covering a vast area, this impressive establishment showcases various creatures including eagles, lions, and capybaras. With its well-maintained facilities and pleasant ambiance, visitors can enjoy the zoo's diverse offerings at affordable prices.
Nice place, although I'll suggest going there in cooler weather. I was here 9 years ago, it had more entertaining things for kids.

A nice zoo with a decent variety of animals and very clean overall. A few animals weren’t there during our visit, but it was still a fun and enjoyable outing.

Nice location , beatiful flora, vegetation , but poorly stuffed with animals , except birds and camels. Monkeys non existing , snakes too. Nice sample of zebras. Fair price for offer (less than 2 euros)

Loved the zoo. I loved seeing alot of the animals. I wish Lions and Tigers cages were bigger but apart from that there were great moment. The Owl was supercool. The bear caught a bird flying by for an extra lunch. 30leu to get in was cheap and i bought coffee and fairy floss.

Nice zoo with lots of animals and very clean overall. A few animals were missing, but still a great visit.
Jomaa A — Google review
Deeply disappointing. Chisinau Zoo feels like a relic of a bygone era—a post-Soviet prison camp for animals, not a sanctuary. The cages are stark, the eyes behind the bars lifeless. The only creature that stirred a sense of joy was a free crow, splashing in a puddle before soaring into the sky, untethered. It was a quiet reminder: freedom cannot be traded for daily meals. No enclosure, however clean or well-fed, can replace the dignity of the wild.

We loved it so much, you should definitely see the white tiger and also the love of the crows in the cage with these hedgehogs and the piano black colors were great.

Rose Valley Park, also known as Valea Trandafirilor, is a serene oasis nestled in the heart of Chisinau. The park boasts three natural lakes, rose gardens, and lush greenery that make it a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. Outdoor enthusiasts can be seen jogging or cycling along the scenic trails that wind around the lakes, while others enjoy leisurely paddleboat rides on the water.
One of the most beautiful parks I have visited is the calm and the activities that can be done there. I think and see that it is very suitable for families.

Never expected this place to be so charming in winter. I remember ice skating on these lakes as a child. Today I experienced a flashback seeing the lakes frozen and children having fun on ice. Any season suits the Rose valley park. I truly recommend it for night time walks, the alleys are lit up and the place has got its unique charm.

Chisinau International Airport offers a top-notch travel experience with its efficient and professional staff, modern facilities, and well-organized layout. The immigration and security procedures are swift, ensuring a seamless journey. Travelers can enjoy a variety of shops, restaurants, and amenities while waiting for their flights. The airport also features comfortable waiting areas with charging sockets available. Additionally, the Golden Jet Lounge provides a premium experience for eligible visitors.
Quite a small airport for an international airport with only 9 gates however there are about 20 flights a day running 24hrs 7 days a week. The airport is clean, tidy and easy to navigate. Staff are friendly, calm and professional. The airport does a calm feel about it and although small it does have a duty free shop and a restaurant upstairs with prices very good for an airport. Plenty of seating and charge points upstairs. Taxis to the centre in the early hours of the morning are approx 350 lei and during the day about 250 lei to the city centre
Andy B — Google review
The airport is modern with efficient service. Very clean. During the holiday season it gets quite busy, but I didn’t feel any discomfort because of it. What struck me as very unusual was the sight of numerous luxury Ukrainian cars in the parking lot, which is rather odd for a country at war.
Mike D — Google review
Very nice modern airport. Great "cafe" upstairs offering good quality food and drinks at reasonable prices. The duty free is rubbish, whilst a large range of alcohol, the prices are about 20 percent dearer than UK high street prices. Makes no sense to me. However apart from that the airport is definitely one of the better ones.
Robert T — Google review
I traveled for the first time from this airport, when i visited it it was very clean but airport size is on small side. There are few options of restuarants. Also i like business class lounge. Bathrooms are super clean. Duty free prices is a bit high.
Saif S — Google review
The airport must be expanded as sometimes there could be queues especially on a busy period of the year. Other than that the Airport is quite small but cute. Didn't have any major issues there.
Cristian G — Google review
What an unpleasant experience all around. For such a tiny airport, you’d think they have it together! They don’t. Because it’s “National Language Day” (a public holiday in Moldova apparently), the police have closed the entry road to the airport!!! So my driver (who’s unusually kind and sweet for the average Moldovan) regretfully dropped me off outside and I had to drag my suitcase up a broken, steep ramp and walk about 500 metres to the airport entrance. The staff at the airport everywhere are so unfriendly and grouchy. No matter what you ask them and how, they make you feel unwelcome. Even at the Duty Free where they need your business, they seem to feel tortured by it! Avoid this country unless you absolutely have to.
Moody ( — Google review
Very small airport , there is like 20 flights a day. The airport bus nr 30 takes you to town and is 6 lei. 2 times per hour. The taxfree and wine selection cannot be used if you have a transfer since they don’t have the agreement with sealed bags. There are two exchange places, some cafees with simple food.
Jonathan G — Google review
Small and uncomfortable airport. It has many issues they need to fix. First of all it's too crowded. It's impossible to find a sit, so people sitting on the floor on the stairs. Food is not tasty, the stuff is unfriendly.

The Organ Hall in Chisinau is a stunning concert venue housed in an elegant classical-style building dating back to the early 20th century. The interior is adorned with enchanting chandeliers, and its unique blue and creamy white color scheme adds to its charm. While some visitors find the seating arrangements slightly uncomfortable, the magnificent sound of the enormous organ makes it a worthwhile experience. Despite some comments about ventilation and temperature, it remains a wonderful place for concerts and small celebrations.
Certainly one of the most beautiful buildings in the capital. Built at the end of the 19th century in classical style with Romanesque elements. Until 1974 it housed the State Bank. The beautiful dome and the sculptural groups give it a monumental appearance. The splendid Organ Hall was created by skilled craftsmen from Russia, Ukraine and Bohemia (for the crystal chandeliers). The organ was built by the ancient Rieger-Kloss company from Krnov (Czech Republic)

The hall will probably need some repairs but overall it’s a pretty building and what maters most are the performers! Granier is a pleasant coffee shop with ample seating, ideal for breakfast. The waitstaff may not be fluent in English, but they easily communicate by pointing to the items on display. The croissant and cake are delicious, while the Panna Cotta could benefit from less gelatin or more cream as it tends to be dry. This café offers reasonably priced desserts that cannot be missed, particularly their renowned honey cake in Chisinau.
Amazing pastry, i recommend the meat filled and cherry filled pastry, the service was very pleasant, i hadca very good vibe there. Will come in the morning again :))
Greg C — Google review
This place was marked as one of the places to visit for my trip and the pastries I had to try from this shop has to be the honey cake and the almond ring. I visited in the evening, the place was not crowded and I was able to get a seat immediately. There were quite a lot of pastries to choose from, though I knew what I wanted I just had to see the full selection and also to make sure the items I wanted were available. I tried asking the staff to recommend me but they weren't able to speak English and hence couldn't understand what I asked. I decided to go ahead with the honey cake and the almond ring and its a self service cafe so you have to bring your own stuff to your own tables. I looked at the pastries they looked good and especially the almond ring it looked very big. I was still wondering if I would still have space for dinner after finishing these. The pastries turned out to be decent but would have expected it to be better. I loved the sweetness of the honey cake, although it's made of honey it was not as sweet as I thought it would be, but I didn't really like the tonne of brown specks on the cake. It didn't affect the taste of the cake but somehow I felt it was kinda like coarse powder swallowed and the aftertaste made the throat kinda uncomfortable which I had to drink quite a lot of water to wash it down. The almond ring was big, but was quite disappointed the whole ring was actually plain and the almond filling was actually right in the middle of the ring. It would be better if it was spread throughout the pastry to bring flavour to the entire bread. I can only say it was okay but not really what I imagined it to be.

"Delights and whimsy" is an apt word for this place. There's no way to resist the goodies, and even the locals know it. I really appreciated the taste for coffee and cakes, but the staff were more than a little overworked. We had to stand in line and wait to order & for a table to be released, which perhaps in the middle of a working day would not have been the case. Overall nice, could be better of course, but only with time.

The young female staff speak fluent English, maybe they're university students on a work experience programme or something, but they didn't really understand the three minibus stations in Chisinau when I told them where I was going. For some reason, I couldn't shake the feeling of being an amateur... Sure enough, the bus stop for Orhei was not 'Gara de Nord', as I was told here, but 'Central Bus Station'. I guess they weren't in a position to know all the information, and I don't blame them for their lack of experience. If that was the case, I would have liked to have seen more experienced staff not hiding at the back of the room, but standing with them to assist. I would have liked to have had more accurate traffic information, as inaccurate traffic information can cause major accidents in the timetable. :(( On the other hand, she helped me find a hairdresser under certain conditions for my frivolous request and negotiated the price with me on the phone. The modern and upscale ambiance creates a shopper's paradise with its stunning architecture featuring large atriums that allow natural light to fill the space. Despite some feedback about high prices in certain stores and occasional encounters with less-than-friendly shop owners, Atrium provides a well-organized layout for easy navigation between fashion boutiques, electronics stores, and more.
Atrium in Chișinău – A Familiar Favorite As someone from Moldova, Atrium has been a go-to spot for me over the years. It is a simple yet charming shopping center that has just the right balance of everything you need — from men’s suits to women’s dresses, accessories, and casual essentials. There are also places to grab a bite, making it a nice stop not just for shopping but for meeting up with friends or having a quiet moment alone. It is not a massive mall, but it has always felt convenient and welcoming. If I am not mistaken, the top floors are used for office spaces now, but I remember back in the day there used to be parties or events held there, which added to its lively vibe. I am not sure if that still happens, but those memories add to its charm for me. Overall, Atrium continues to be one of those steady, reliable places in Chișinău that many locals, like myself, have come to appreciate.

Although there are lots of stores, including a minority with western countries' preferences of style, almost all of the stores in this mall closes at around 3:30pm to 4:00pm in the afternoon, even if the mall officially closes at 9pm. It's been like this for the past few months. Every time I visit this mall, 95% percent of the stores have already pulled down their metal curtains by half past three in the afternoon. They could have more customers and more potential in success if they open during the hours when people get out of work, but instead, they wait around when their potential customers are still at work and close their small businesses before most of their potential customers get out of work in the afternoon. It's a pity because this mall has better-looking clothes than the other mall across the street. Who told these private business owners that it's best to operate from morning to mid-afternoons? Most of them replicate the same schedule with their opening hours.

The Cathedral of Divine Providence in Chisinau is a well-maintained Roman Catholic church that may be a bit tricky to locate, but the search is definitely worth it. The interior is bright and adorned with lovely paintings, making it a peaceful spot for visitors. It holds daily morning and evening masses, as well as multiple services on Sundays. Additionally, English mass takes place on Saturdays at 5pm.
This neoclassical church was built in 1836 by the architect Abram Melnikov with a grant from Nicholas I of Russia; with the establishment of the Soviet regime in 1944, all parish activities ceased and the church was closed in 1963, forcing the faithful to attend a small chapel in the cemetery. The building was returned to the diocese in 1989. The church has been the seat of the Apostolic See of Moldova since 1993 and of the newly established Bishopric of Chisinau since 2001. Restoration work began in the spring of 2002 and was completed in 2004.

The priest was very nice to let us in. But this church did not look at all like churches in Armenia. None of the interesting stone work. Yet the inside was just as boring as every Armenian church. (Translated by Google) One of the oldest churches in Chisinau, built in 1804. Over its two-century history, its aspect has undergone some changes - for example, in 1872, the well-known architect Alexander Bernardazzi added an elegant portico. A little later, another floor is added to the main tower - it is its architecture, with notes of the Gothic style, that is visible from behind the nearby houses. However, some experts argue that the church has more ancient roots, and archaeological excavations carried out nearby have found various artifacts of past centuries - maybe in the future we will find new data on the relative history of this temple. In any case, today the Armenian Church is an important attraction, not least due to its beautiful architecture - it is probably one of the most 'monumental' buildings in the city. However, it is not so easy to find a church among the high-rise buildings of a modern city - you cannot do without maps. Among the surrounding high-rise buildings, the church, with its landscaped and landscaped courtyard, is something of an oasis. From a distance it seems small, but inside this sensation disappears - its size is impressive. In the courtyard there are old gravestones and memorial monuments of two tragedies of the Armenian people - 1915 and 1988. It feels like both the church and the area around it are being watched and looked after. Inside the temple, everything is modest, but beautiful, without signs of unnecessary luxury. It's worth noting that I was lucky enough to meet a polite church custodian who gave me a short tour. In general, if you are interested in Kmshinov’s antiquity, I advise you to visit the Armenian Church.

Located near the center but very close to homes and offices. It is worth a visit for the historical importance of the Armenian rite. La Izvor Park, located in Elena, boasts a pristine fountain fed by pure spring water. This unique feature sets it apart from other park fountains around the world. The park covers 150 hectares and showcases a thoughtfully designed layout, offering stunning views and well-maintained walking trails for pedestrians. Additionally, designated bike paths cater to cyclists' needs.
A lovely modern park just outside the city, easily accessible by local bus. The park is very clean with beautiful walking paths around the dam. A fantastic place to relax at the end of the day with some amazing views for taking sunset photos. At the entrance to the park, there is a lovely kids play area with a few shops and restaurants.

It's hard to call it a park, it's already a full-fledged forest. There are lots of good tarmac paths. Lots of benches. There's a lake. That's basically it

Greek Orthodox church
Historical landmark
The Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Pantaleon, constructed in 1891 by architect A. Bernardazzi, is considered one of the most exquisite structures in Chisinau. It remains an active place of worship, housing the revered Throne of Panteleimon the healer, believed to possess miraculous healing abilities. The church showcases stunning murals on its interior walls; however, it currently requires restoration work.
Definitely a must see in Chisinau. It's not mentioned anywhere but it's very beautiful. I didnt go in but the outside is stunning with its architecture.

Be aware renovation happening 08.2019 but don't know how long and how long will continue. So inside just need to be aware. Beautiful inside out. I attended wedding there and was fabulous

One of the most beautiful buildings in Chisinau. Date of construction 1891. Architect A.Bernardazzi. Church is active still. There is Throne of Panteleimon the healer. The throne has healing power in my opinion. There are beautifull murals inside the Church. But it requiers restoration works.

Public library
The National Library of Moldova is a neoclassical landmark with beautiful interior featuring spiral staircases. It has a rich history, having served as a theological school, Orthodox seminary, and technical faculty before becoming the National Library. Visitors reminisce about their student years and are inspired by the temple of knowledge to seek new discoveries. The library offers high ceilings, various work areas, and a great courtyard. There's also a nearby cafe and free lockers for visitors' convenience.
Wonderful library. High ceilings inside with multiple areas to work or read. Great courtyard at the front. I experience positive feeling and a calm mind each time I spend time here. Great cafe across the road you get hungry or thirsty. Free lockers to store your bags before you enter. Don’t forget your library card! Thanks to the staff who run this place. 👍👍👍

The place isn’t really suitable for studying. The workers are speaking with each other or on the phone all the time in all halls. The place is cold in fall. Just a waste of huge building. Randomly thrown chairs and tables with sometimes charging sockets. Plus random teachers conduct their lessons here without really caring about everyone else’s work. Disappointing

The national library of Moldova, a place of silence in the kingdom of books, the true treasure of the nation, the place where I spent my university days!!

One of the eldest library in Moldova with a history for more than 180 years. With a large volume of books, you can find almost anything you look for it, even they allow you to access their rare collection of books.
