Flea & Street Markets
Nestled in the charming coastal town of Fleetwood, Fleetwood Market stands out as a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists alike. Established in 1840, this historic market boasts over 250 stalls that offer an eclectic mix of goods. From fresh produce to unique crafts, clothing, and even electronic items, there's something for everyone here. The market features both indoor and outdoor sections where you can explore everything from gourmet street food to beautifully crafted jewelry and household essentials.
Spent two enjoyable hours browsing around this large and friendly market. I visited on a Friday (it's also open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday), travelling here on the tram from Blackpool. You get off at the Victoria Street tram stop, and it's only a couple of minutes' walk to the market entrance. This is a proper traditional market, mainly indoor, with friendly stallholders and a wide variety of merchandise, including ladies' and men's clothing, leather goods, knitting wools and haberdashery, some beautiful table linen, greetings cards, sweets, homewares, pet supplies, books and DVD's, mobile phone accessories, and much more. There's even an earwax removal service and a foot clinic. Did not see a lot of food stalls on this visit though. There's a nice café and deli, and there were also a few outdoor stalls where you could get street food. Prices were generally very reasonable, with some great bargains to be found. Bought a lovely real leather black bag for a very good price. The stallholder was really helpful. I could pay for my bag with a debit card, but some of the other traders accept cash only (there's a cash machine on the premises). The market hall is wheelchair accessible, with plenty of space to move around. Good clean toilets. Dog friendly. Ample free parking. All in all, this is one of the best indoor markets I've been to. It's well worth a visit if you're in the Fleetwood area.

Great selection of stalls. We took a bus from Blackpool (number 1) for about 40 mins and glad we did. We got sweets, a new hat, gem stones. They've got lots of bargains you didn't know you needed! Well worth checking when it's open and giving it a visit.
GtB F — Google review
If you are a person who likes to come out of Blackpool for a while. This is a good market. Mixture of memories of the old days. Into now. Quite a big place. Does get busy. Great for holiday makers to have a look round. Plenty of cafes.
Katie B — Google review
We went into the cafe in the market and I ordered 2 prawn sandwiches on brown bread with salad and coleslaw on the side was 8 pound which is good. I had a cappuccino and my mum had an americano which were amazing but the only thing I wasn't happy with was when we got our PRAWN sandwiches they were not prawn they were crab instead with about 3 small prawns in it. It was lovely fresh and tasty but I wanted a prawn sandwich and would of liked it if we were told there was crab i them 🤔 anyway was lovely clean and food was fresh but that was the only downside. I still ate it though 😆
Nicola ( — Google review
Fleetwood Market is another staple of any visit to the west coast, a very large indoor market with a huge choice of stalls selling everything from home wares to hosiery. We found a few little gems we'd been looking for for quite some time & there's also an outdoor section too. It's currently undergoing renovation so it's a tight squeeze in places but it's still a great place, a must see for any visitor.
Christian H — Google review
First time to the fleetwood market and has to say it has everything not been to a good market in a long time. My other favourite market is Bury in Greater Manchester. But back to this one . It's got a great shirt stall doing big sizes. I found up to 5XL & in good styles. Also, as a wool stall if you're in to knitting and lots of other clothes stall .and when the shopping is done , pop into the cafe .try and avoid dodgy Dave with his stall outside the cafe . with his aftershaves & perfume & jewellery & watches because before you know it, it's in the bag, and you wonder what you have just bought .he as the gift of the gab as out door market. Facilities there are toilets and they are clean .we got the trams 🚊 from Blackpool and took about 35 to 40 mins to get there . Highly recommended 👌
Mickey N — Google review
Very busy you could easily get lost among all the various stalls. Everything is mixed difficult to find what you want without walking all over.

Specialty Museums
Fleetwood Museum is a charming local history museum housed in a magnificent 19th-century Victorian building. It features an excellent gift shop and coffeehouse, as well as a second-hand bookshop where visitors can find amazing bargains. The staff are passionate and knowledgeable about the history of Fleetwood, providing informative and friendly guidance to visitors exploring each room's great interpretation. Families with children can enjoy trails and quizzes designed for them.
Absolutely loved it! So much history and information; you could spend hours in there if you read everything! The staff are knowledgeable and very friendly. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to delve deeper into the history of Fleetwood.
Cumbrian H — Google review
Very interesting museum, well worth the visit. Very intense with information, lots of things to read and look at. There is a huge historical ship outside of the museum too!!!? Having known nothing about Fleetwood before visiting, we certainly learnt a lot! Staff are lovely and helpful. Can pay by cash or card. Good, clean toilets too! Thanks for making our trip to Fleetwood memorable! (Not adding pics of the boat - that, you definitely to see for yourself!)
Dewey W — Google review
We went there on a day out to Fleetwood market. Saw the signs for the museum. My wife and I enjoyed the museum, history of Fleetwood town and fishing industry and artifacts. The staff where very friendly, polite and informative. Only a small fee on entry. Would recommend, especially to people who enjoy history, facts and the fishing industry.
Kevin J — Google review
Very good local museum the displays on the fishing industry are particularly fascinating especially if a former trawlerman is available to tell you about the tough conditions on board. Very good overview of the origins of this unique town. I recommend more than one visit. Very friendly and informative volunteers.
JOHN A — Google review
Absolutely loved it here, there was a school party there when I visited, the volunteers were dressed in period costumes and entertained and educated the kids. Some lovely and interesting exhibits but the best thing about the place is the volunteer staff, really really friendly, extremely knowledgeable and at 4 quid to get in, a bargain! Edit: I have been a few times now, please consider becoming a friend of the museum, it's £8 and gets you unlimited entry for a year. Great cafe and a second hand book shop that the Thursday morning girls in themselves are worth visiting for ;-)
Kev P — Google review
£3 per adult was a bargain price to pay for what this Museum had to offer. A real hidden gem and just a nice and interesting place to walk around. The Smack boat in the shed out the back was a real privilege to see and well worth a look. The volunteers were lovely and very enthusiastic. Plenty of costumes to try on and the gift shop was well priced. My favourite was the Fisherman's Friend exhibition and seeing the original artefacts inside there. The cafe seemed very good, although it was a bit too warm in there today sadly. If that's the only drawback then it shows you how good this little place is.
Daniel B — Google review
Fabulous museum with wonderful displays and very helpful staff. Particularly liked seeing Harriet the very old sail driven trawler and hearing about the trouble it took to transport her to Fleetwood, I hope she remains there and continues to be well looked after. Thank you everyone. We would have eaten in the cafe but it was closed.
Jen F — Google review
Visited during Fleetwood Heritage Festival. We have visited lots of local attractions and this is one of the best! Totally surprised by the vast exhibits, the actual size of the place and the suprise package ( not to spoil it for people)at the rear is amazing! The staff are very knowledgeable and accommodating. The coffee shop is lovely too, we will definitely pop into here for a drink next time. Bonus is free parking over the road. Really loved the place!

Fleetwood Beach, also known as Marine Beach, is a delightful seaside destination that promises a perfect family getaway. Nestled near the charming Marine Hall, this beach features soft sandy shores and picturesque beach huts that create an inviting atmosphere for visitors of all ages. The seafront pathways are ideal for leisurely strolls where you can soak in stunning views across the bay or enjoy building sandcastles with loved ones.
One of the quieter beaches. Unspoiled. Fantastic views over the bay. Great amenities.
Nate ( — Google review
I came here for a long beach walk that followed the southern route. There are lots of neat shells to find here as well as plenty of spots to hang out by the water in relative peace. The swimming here is also fun, though there is a strong current. I would only recommend that strong swimmers try going out in the water here
Sbourgeois87 — Google review
The best beach and promenade you can go to, lots of free sea fishing ideal place, dog walkers and dogs playing on the sands and water or going for a swim. Megga popular with families on a nice day all year round, but extremely gorgeous in summer where people rent the beach chalets, and chill out for hours and family get togethers and having fun and making memories and families sunbathing and having picnics. Me and the girlfriend love to come here it is so romantic also and extremely popular with couples having a nice walk together, as well as tiring the dog out with all her exercise and sea air, she is sleeping like a baby at night back home. It is also very popular with bike riders and joggers. Forget Brash and hustling and expensive Blackpool, come here 1 of the Fylde Coast Gems.
George T — Google review
Fleetwood Bathing Beach is a quieter beach behind the measure centre that is reserved for people. Dogs are not allowed on that section of the beach. It has great views and nice sand and pebbled areas. It is also next to a play park, so it's great for kids . There is plenty of free parking in the area.
Will H — Google review
Fleetwood Beach is a a lovely spot and perfect for a relaxing sunny day out with its smooth sands and scenic promenade. On a clear day, the views are unbelievable, offering a stunning glimpse of the Lake District and Heysham across the water. It’s a peaceful location for a seaside stroll or just soaking in the natural views. However, one downside is the current sewage issue, which can detract from the otherwise idyllic experience. It’s a shame that such a lovely area is affected by this, but hopefully, improvements will be made soon.

After Fish & Chips in Thornton- Clevelys Fish Loves Chips Fleetwood Beech was just up the road and I was awake again to sake some lovely pictures. It was nice to talk to local people and people that were on holiday and just visiting for the day and taking their pictures of them in front of the beach with their cameras. I’ve gone up to Fleetwood many times, beautiful sunsets, beautiful walks and beautiful events all year round ❤️ Another old time family favourite of many, definitely worthwhile taking a visit sometime 👌
James — Google review
A nice beach on the Fylde Coast with decent traditional market and shopping outlet.
Barlow260 — Google review
An incredibly clean beach. It was a pleasure to sit on. The tide was out when I went there but the little pools it left behind were lovely and warm. I paddled for quite a long time in these pools. It felt like walking on the surface of the moon such was the untouched nature. You can see the mountains of the Lake District in the distance too

Overlooking the beach, Marine Hall is a 1930s seafront theater with original art deco features that hosts a diverse range of performances throughout the year. The iconic venue offers a picturesque backdrop for various events and activities, from stage shows to food festivals. Adjacent to the theater is The Mount, an old Victorian building with stunning views of the coastline and town. The theater itself boasts an illuminated art deco exterior at night and features events such as music gigs, comedy nights, and theatrical performances.
First visit ever to Fleetwood and the Marine Hall last saturday to see Pink Floydian. What a superb venue, large enough to show off the bands amazing light show but still with a warm and friendly feel. All the staff I encountered were extremely knowledgeable and helpful and I'd have no hesitation in recommending others to see a show here. By the way, something not quite right with my uploaded images as they are higher resolution than appear in this review, no idea why!
Paul S — Google review
This is a amazing place, fantastic tribute bands, great parking. The glass domed roof is beautiful but mostly it's the staff that truly make it. They are kind very welcoming. The doorman sees everyone has a safe and fun time, it really is a gem. I don't take being in crowded places or being out at night very well, I have anxiety and panic attacks, however the Marine Hall is a place where I feel safe. It's not over crowded and finishes at a reasonable time plus all the people that attend the venue are a lovely group.
Pauline — Google review
Went here for a music event. Venue was seated so the atmosphere wasn't as good as I would have liked. Good lighting so the show/stage looked good. There's a glass dome in the roof which looked lovely when lit up but unfortunately it didn't notice during the show Being a theatre there were ushers rather than security which weren't much help when people decided to 'stage invade' at the end of the show. Overall a nice clean venue but probably more suited for a panto or play rather than a gig.
Clare — Google review
Beautiful little venue with a really lovely vibe and atmosphere to the building. Excellent and well stocked bar plus a fantastic little snack kiosk serving crisps, amazing Wallings Ice Cream, soft drinks and even Cadburys Hot Chocolate. Staff couldn't have been any nicer and the show we watched (Nativity the Musical) was outstanding and would highly recommend getting along to watch this before it's short run ends. Had such a great night here.
Daniel B — Google review
An awesome nostalgic building. Good acoustics, friendly staff and a nice modern bar. This venue is perfect for more intimacy at concerts. Every seat gives you a good view of the stage.

JIVE TALKIN The show was excellent. they put on a masterful performance of Bee Gee classics without taking themselves too seriously. Young Robin is Marvellous. the venue was great we were sat row J and had a great view throughout. the staff at the venue were very good and helpful especially the lady in the sparkling shiny pumps. lots of good free parking outside the hall which was brilliant. would be more than happy to return to another event here.

Passed through these Gardens whilst looking for the public toilets but once we found them not only did we forget to bring our radar key for the disabled toilet but there was also a small charge and that is why I have rated this 4stars and not 5. Most people pay with debit cards, money is almost obsolete so these should be brought upto date. Anyway we used the leisure centre toilets before we walked back through the gardens back to the car, it is possible to get through with a wheelchair but you might have to go the long way around as some parts have steps and the ramp is further on. It was fairly quiet for a bank holiday weekend and with sun out which did surprise us but we enjoyed our visit nonetheless.
Andrew S — Google review
We attended the food and drink festival amazing! Lots of stalls inside and out childrens play and activity area was excellent, my boys really ended the woodfire pizzas, jacket potato van was fab, we bought some lovely cheeses, tried a few gins the atmosphere was great roll on the Christmas market cant wait

My wife, our 4 year old daughter and I visited this week, as we were in the area - and we are so glad we did! So many animals to see, including donkeys, sheep, lambs, goats, chickens, highland cow, peacocks, turkeys and can also hold smaller animals such as guinea pigs, chicks, rabbits, rats - and even stroked a snake! Paddy the pig a personal favourite! So much to do there, including parks, bouncy inflatable, indoor play/ball pit, eating area and cafe. Absolutely well worth a visit and we'll definitely be back again!

We love it here, always visit when we're staying at Cala Gran down the road. Reasonably priced, very open, lots of animals to see and play parks/areas dotted around for the kids. Great place to spend a few hours. The food in the tractor shed restaurant is lovely as well.
Danielle S — Google review
It was our first time here with my husband, daughter (5), kids Grandparents, Sister in-law and Nephew (5) and I must say we were pleasantly surprised. The layout was good, it had a great outdoor play park and an indoor inflatable play area. An onsite museum that's larger than it looks. A good range of animal and feed. Everywhere was easily accessible. It was a lovely little farm and enjoyment was had by all.
Stacey R — Google review
It was a very enjoyable day out. We loved the museum, animal feeding, and, of course, play areas. We chose to eat on site, which was a varied menu reasonably priced with a quick and friendly service.

Absolutely amazing!!! Farm was a good size with lots of animals to see and they where all so friendly, tractor ride is good fun for everyone and lots of indoor and outdoor play areas for the children. All the staff where lovely but a special shout out to the two gentlemen in the museum part one who built his own penny farthing that was on show and the other who has worked in many mueseums this being his favourite, they where absolute gems, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and not only teach us about things we never knew but had amazing conversations about everything there if I could have I'd have taken them home with me their stories and information went above and beyond what you would get anywhere else. It gave us so much more of a better experience as they had lived and worked with some of the things teaching us how everything worked and some of it still did. They made this experience the best it was such a heartwarming experience!!!

I love our local park, it has been a blessing during lock down. A lovely duck pond, great planting, a tennis court and all weather pitch. Plenty of toddlers and children's apparatus to play on, a massive sports field, small woods, 3 bowling greens and dedicated to all our local war heroes with a cenotaph and heritage walk. Well done wyre/Fleetwood council and all the staff on maintaining and continuing to improve Memorial Park.

Park was clean and seemed well maintained. It is completely contained with different areas for different age groups and fairly well laid out. There were some swings for disabled children and wide walkways around the edges but not leading from area to area. The rest of memorial park has very well maintained, wide walkways, lots of shrubs and nature areas, large playing field and courts. Plenty for a family to do. (Also for geeks like me, plenty of Pokestops!🤣)

This pleasant little park, nestling between the North Euston Hotel and the seafront, is right next to the Blackpool to Fleetwood tram terminus, and buses from Blackpool stop here too. There's lots of grassy space, well kept paths and plenty of benches. The park is dotted with memorials and heritage features that include anchors, an ornate drinking fountain and a statue of Peter Hesketh Fleetwood, the town's founder. I found the info about this resort's Victorian history particularly interesting to read. Lovely views from here across the Wyre estuary towards Morecambe Bay. There are some handy public toilets at the back of the gardens.

My garden shed is bigger than this. It’s got door a window. My garden shed is bigger than this. No trains to Fleetwood you have to the train to Blackpool North. Then you can either get the tram, bus or if you want to Walk it it’s a 7.2 mile hike. Might be nice in August but January give it a miss. Chippy out side the ground & Tesco extra a 5 minute walk away. View from the stand is okay no obstructions. Worth a visit just to tuck it off on your 92 club.

Great atmosphere from the whole ground (including the away end) and a decent ground too. The food was spot on! 🤩 I got the chicken balti pie and it was glorious (if you don't mind spice) 🥧. Exquisite stadium with warm atmosphere, but the transportation is extremely inconvenient. There is no train station nearby. The nearest train stations are in Blackpool or Poulton-le-Fylde, so you can only get to the stadium by bus or tram.
夏侯元菡 — Google review
Nice compact stadium with good facilities, friendly staff and good food

The Pharos Lighthouse in Fleetwood is an impressive 28-meter sandstone lighthouse, located in a residential area. Designed by Burton, it is one of two lighthouses he created for the town. The Upper Lighthouse, also known as Pharos Lighthouse (Fleetwood), can be seen up to 13 miles away and the Beach Lighthouse (Fleetwood) is visible for approximately 9 miles. Both lighthouses were opened in 1840.
Beautiful building from a quality era, still proudly showing path for the boats. Its near the historic tram, restaurant, art and craft shops and the sea. A good complete day out,for a family or a couple, plenty to do,many to visit in this area.

Historical area of the old port is worth a look. Stumbled across the old tram on display opposite the ferry port at the end of the tramline.
Garry W — Google review
Amazing place. Open at times but rarely. Fully functional lighthouse, one of three in Fleetwood, used for guiding ships onto harbour. This is also known as the Upper Lighthouse
Marky H — Google review
The tallest lighthouse in Fleetwood. It's also only one of (I assume) the UK's inland ligthouses. You can't go inside. I've lived near it for more than 15 years & it's never been open to the public. This lighthouse was used in conjunction with the one outside the North Euston Hotel & the Wyre Light at the end of the shipping channel to guide boats into the River Wyre Estuary in the olden days. The tram tracks run right past it so be careful if you're stopping to take photos.

Shame you can't go in but otherwise impressive.

Went to see it during the summer and addionally went to the Market which was a great experience.

The Lower Lighthouse, a stunning neoclassical structure located on the Fleetwood seafront, was constructed alongside its counterpart, the Upper Light, to aid navigation for vessels entering the Wyre estuary. This Grade II listed building features a unique square colonnaded base and an octagonal lantern that adds to its charm. As part of a trio of lighthouses in Fleetwood, it played a crucial role in guiding ships through challenging tides and narrow entrances into the harbor.
A most interesting place, nice beach, RNLI station there too, worth a look...

This is one of three lighthouses in Fleetwood. The port of Fleetwood was difficult to get right with the fast moving tides and narrow entrance. The group of lighthouse was used for navigating boats and ships into the harbour.
Marky H — Google review
Nice historic sandstone lighthouse, which was not open to the public, but worth looking at. Has several benches to sit and take shelter or to take 5 minutes and enjoy the view.
Marcus W — Google review
Part of a set of what was 3 lights used to guide shipping into the Wyre estuary. Opened for Heritage Week. Interesting history of the lights was kindly & enthusiastically presented by Ian with some great photos. Thanks. It was a good experience climbing up the inside to view the working lamp.

Just across the road from the North Euston Hotel, this elegant little building with its classical columns is also known as the Beach Lighthouse. Dating from 1840, it stands 44 feet tall and is still functioning, with a light that can be seen 9 miles out in Morecambe Bay. Great views and covered seating all the way round the base of the lighthouse makes it the ideal place to rest your legs after a long walk or to take shelter from the weather. There's an accessible walkway down to the beach right next to it.
Valerie H — Google review
Beautiful lighthouse located on the very edge of Fleetwood estuary, viewed from the sea this is the middle lighthouse that lines up Pharos lighthouse to guide boats down the channel to the port.

I waited since November 2019 for Google to accept this location yet when they finally do accept they place it in the totally wrong location, the statue actually stands in Euston Park further up the coast near the lighthouse. Surely they know this yet they place it wrong on the map. I will leave it to somebody else to fix the location as i just keep getting declined on location amendments.

This poignant seafront memorial, named "The Real Price of Fish", commemorates local fishermen who died at sea. Unveiled in 1987, it depicts equipment from a trawler and lists the men and the boats lost at sea. It stands beside a little heritage trail (notice the silver fish inlaid in the pavement) with interpretation panels telling the history of Fleetwood and its fishing industry. A place to pause and reflect on the hardships and sacrifices endured by Fleetwood's brave fishermen and their families.

Fisherman's memorial: Painted blue, there are three inscriptions. The first two are here. The list of boats lost will be in the datastore. " Past this place, the fishermen of Fleetwood have sailed for generations while their families have watched from the shore. Their courage and comradeship under hardship is a living legend. This memorial depicting equipment from a trawler, was placed here in recognition of the great contribution which the men and women of the fishing community have made to the life of Fleetwood" " This memorial was devised by DAVID PEARCE and designed by RICHARD GILLINGHAM with research by COUNCILLOR BEN JACKSON. It was donated by ROBERTSONS of FLEETWOOD and the site was prepared by WYRE COMMUNITY SERVICES with the assistance of WYRE BOROUGH COUNCIL. Unveiled by COUNCILLOR ANTOON VINK MAYOR of WYRE December 1987.
