Nature & Parks
Nestled in the heart of Johnson City, Tennessee, Buffalo Mountain Park is a stunning natural haven that beckons outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Spanning an impressive 725 acres, this park features a variety of hiking trails that meander through lush forests and alongside sparkling streams. As you explore the hilly terrain, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of both the Tennessee Valley and Unicoi Valley.
Just beautiful. There are roughly three trails you can do when you arrive. We hiked the Noggin trail. It is not a light feat at all. All the trails are true hikes at moments. They’re super steep and some are slippery and muddy. I don’t recommend this for a casual weekend stroll, however if you’re looking for a challenge it’s a nice medium one. The view was worth it. The hike through the trail was fantastic. Tons of twist and turns and stopping points. I highly recommend this for hikers.

On the outskirts of Johnson City, Buffalo Mountain Park is a hidden gem! The abundance of varying trails make it an excellent place to either run (as I prefer) or hike. My favorite loop crosses various terrain and clocks almost 5.25 miles and 1500’ of elevation. There are numerous ridge views as well as many lookouts that are fairly close to parking.
R M — Google review
Great trails, mostly wooded, a few overlook locations with a view. But scenery (trees, trees, TREES, acorns, lots of green) is the point of these trails. Not abundant vistas. Have fun).
Allen M — Google review
Amazing, natural beauty steps away from JC!. We are so lucky to have easy access to this beautiful park.
Leslie S — Google review
5 stars first, and foremost; as there was no admission for me to be able to hit the trails. I loved that the trails were wild but clearly marked. Waterproof boots are a must; the Noggin goes up and across a quick stream. AllTrails marked all the routes nicely. Couldn’t get to White Rock from the Noggin due to a downed tree; pivoted to Huckleberry Knob, great view!
Walt W — Google review
A beautiful slice of nature right next to Johnson City. While not the easiest trail, it is splendid for those who are experienced. Great place to see tons of little critters too.
Jacob J — Google review
Beautiful mountain park. Recently hiked couple of the trails. Very good workout and beautiful views.
Lauretta R — Google review
Great place to hike. Trails and roads allow you a choice of terrain. Several places offer extended scenic views, and the trees and streams are wonderful. The beauty of God's creation is abundant here. Important things to note: ¹There are no bathrooms here. ²Parking is tight, and it is not always easy to turn around. ³Picnic area is bare bones and not up to date. ⁴There are no water fountains here. ⁵If there are trash cans here, I don't know where they are. So it's a great place to stop by and hike, but bring your water bottle full and you should be good.

Nestled in the heart of northern Johnson City, Winged Deer Park is a sprawling 200-acre oasis that beckons outdoor enthusiasts and families alike. This park offers an array of activities to enjoy, from hiking along scenic woodland trails to playing on well-maintained athletic fields. The highlight for many visitors is the impressive 18-hole disc golf course, renowned as one of the best in the area.
Been to this park twice so far to play Disc Golf. The course is very maintained and easy to maneuver and find the the pins. The parl is also dog friendly as well.
Taylor M — Google review
Winged Deer Park is an excellent complex for a softball tournament. Lot's of shade, good dugouts, good concession stand. A perfect playground right in the middle of the complex. And the turf fields are even better, with great views of the mountains.
Cyrous B — Google review
So much more than I can sniff in one visit. I love this park!
Honus W — Google review
This is a nice public park with many different areas devoted to different needs for the community. There are basketball hoops, plenty of walking with easy access to the bathrooms. I would say it would be nice to have more stalls maybe keeping in mind in future renovations that there are more people in this area and around it than there was even just 5 years ago. The park is well kept and we went here specifically for my daughter's high school Cross Country meet, the Iron Mountain Invitational. She seemed to enjoy the running path made for them and the many amenities afforded to the runners with water, snacks etc. We would love to return and visit this park as a family and check out all there is to offer.
Brandy R — Google review
Fun disc golf course! Playground was nice. Beautiful place to take pictures. Lots of open fields for all kinds of activities. Nice kept park. Definitely will go back and recommend you give it a try!
SJJ — Google review
Great place for baseball tournaments! Parking is easy, and the fields are close so even having to switch fields is not an issue! Great concessions and bathrooms!
Brad F — Google review
We found a great spot for a family outing the other day. It's got everything from baseball fields to a cool disc golf course. Plus, there's an amphitheater, walking trails, mountain bike trails, and awesome playgrounds for the kids to run around on. Definitely a place we'll be visiting again soon. It's the perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon together.

We visit Wing Deer Park frequently. It has nearly everything for individuals and families to do. Hiking, walking, and disc golf are our favorites. It is a well maintained, dog friendly park that you can spend an hour, a day or anywhere in between doing whatever you enjoy.

Biking Trails
Tannery Knobs Mountain Bike Park in Johnson City, Tennessee is a popular destination for mountain biking enthusiasts of all skill levels. The park spans 40 acres of wooded terrain and offers a variety of trails, from beginner-friendly paths to challenging uphill routes. Managed by experts, the park ensures the safety of its trails, making it an ideal place for families to enjoy outdoor activities together. Additionally, hikers are welcome on designated paths within the park.
Great access to the park. It’s just about right downtown so if you have other things to do you are not way off the beaten path. The park is nice and clean with a great view and a porta potty if you needed it. There a few benches. The pump track is great fun and maintained. The trails go from easy to difficult with some spots that will get your heart rate up. It’s not that big of a park but good enough and has a lot going for it. Access and food right around the corner and a McDonald’s near the entrance. Check it out it’s a great time.
D W — Google review
This is one of the best paved pump tracks we've ever ridden. The downhill trails are great too. There are also 2 portopotties and a ranger station with a water jug. Wear pads.
Mike C — Google review
Mountain bike park, it's on the top of the hill and has a beautiful view on the town. There are a few mountains bike trails from easy to very technical. If you want to hike the trails you are more than welcome just be aware you have to yield to bike riders. If you are not in a mood for a hike and just want to enjoy the view I am super you will find a perfect bench for you. There are several branches where you can seat and relax. Even now when we are getting closer to the winter and leaves are gone the view is extraordinary. I did not see a sign that dogs are allowed at this park and did not see anyone with dogs. No restrooms also. Or picnic tables! But you will have a air pump and a few tools to quick fix your bike. It's kid friendly area and I seen a few people with kids.
Alex R — Google review
Such a awesome mountain bike park! If you have ridden Vee Hollow in Townsend TN, expect a similar experience, just on a smaller scale of elevation. We'll designed flow trails, and the Posse's Club is a legit Black Diamond trail rating 😎
Jason S — Google review
Awesome place! Well maintained trails, and cool little pump track for the kids. Trails are rated by color (green/blue/black) like ski slopes based on the difficulty level. Awesome views of the surrounding area from the summit. Several of the trails are also available for hikers and dogs on leashes.
Jay M — Google review
My favorite place to go, lots of flow and fun jumps! Always nice people too!
Miriam K — Google review
Dont sleep on this place. Very pretty. Can get a couple miles in.

Very cool bike park. We were just traveling through but it was a great way to let off some steam. The pump track was fun the trails were nice, tools on-site, and for the non-bikers, there were great views to be enjoyed.

Hiking Trails
If you're looking for a free and active way to spend time in Johnson City, the Tweetsie Trail is a great option. This trail, created as part of the Rails-to-Trails project, repurposed an old rail line into a scenic pathway. Despite its city accessibility, it offers a peaceful escape from urban life.
Hit this trail up the first time this week, and it didn't disappoint! I've only went a bit passed the 1 mile mark tho, so I am only rating it based of that first mile. (It was hot out when we walked, but the trail was 10° cooler!)
Amanda H — Google review
Awesome trail great people that walk on it. Sad thing though is it's so dirty down the hill around the 8 mile marker and so on
BR — Google review
I enjoyed riding the trail and I think they have done a wonderful job. I think they could turn the volume down on the police presence. Nobody wants to have a good time and relax when you're surrounded by police.
Josh ( — Google review
Nice, smooth trail for a great family ride. The Rotary Club pavilion looks great!
Lesley R — Google review
Great place to take the kids for fun!
Rita N — Google review
All the stop signs that face the tweetsie trail need to be removed and yield to pedestrain/cyclists flashing signs need to be placed at all road crossings. Someone is going to get hit and killed at one of those road crossings. Drivers don't slow down and runners, walkers, and cyclists don't stop. Johnson City and Elizabethton need to make the Tweetsie trail safer for the people who want to use it.

Gray Fossil Site is an active archeological dig site with a visitor center showcasing ancient animal and plant fossil finds. The museum offers a hands-on experience for all ages, featuring the world's largest tapir fossil, a complete skeleton of the Teleoceras, one of only two red pandas found in North America, and more. The site also hosts the Discovery Center, an all-ages science center with interactive exhibits such as building cars and creating colorful shadows.
I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Very friendly and helpful. The site is a good place to take children in grade school. We felt it was not a good fit for our toddler grandchildren. The exhibit and hands on areas were clean and the craft areas were both clean and tidy. The garden area was nice and could use better labeling on the plants. Enjoyed our time there and will be back.
Ms. T — Google review
This place is amazing!! There is an active fossil sight, view of their active lab, interactive lab for visitors, tesla coil, great exhibits, and an awesome hands on discovery center for kids.
Lindsay L — Google review
Stopped by as part of a grandkids road trip. The kids enjoyed the interactive exhibits and spending a longer, than I expected, time in the exploring building. Highly recommend visiting. The singing Tesla Coil was unique but too loud for the 5-year old.
Terry D — Google review
This is an AMAZINGLY nice place. They have a museum highlighting the fossils found on site. Specimens are numerous and expertly preserved. There are educational activities for kids at every exhibit. They even have an entire building for your littles, that emphasizes principles of science set in kids games so it’s fun and educational. We were truly awe struck with how well this place is put together. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. Staff members would periodically walk by and ask if we had any questions or if they could help with understanding paleontology and conservation. THIS IS A MUST DO IF YOU HAVE KIDS!!! We would enthusiastically recommend this to ALL.
Hearthstone C — Google review
What a Tennessee gem! Passed by this place a few dozen times before we finally had the ultimate excuse to stop: our very own 6-yo aspiring naturalist/paleontologist. We were excited, and it surpassed our expectations! Our kiddo relished the ability to see, discover, interact, ask questions, play, and learn all in one place and from experts in the field. The amount of non-replica original fossils here, found on site, is just astounding. We will most likely make this a regular stop anytime we are back in the area.
Tony S — Google review
Geared to the younger set. Lots of info. We were there just for fossils specifically. Unfortunately they weren't actively digging during our visit. Affordable price.
Sophielarue P — Google review
How awesome is this place! Crazy to find out what animals lived in Tennessee so so long ago. To see the past found in the rocks and in this nice little museum was amazing. Got a tour of it with someone studying to be a paleontologist so they had this extra energy for everything inside it. It’s small and only an hour or so of your time, worth every minute.
Chris C — Google review
Amazing museum with fun activities for kids and lots of educational displays. We did the $2 tour which included a great overview of the dig site and processes involved with finding fossils, identifying them, and cleaning/storing them. The staff are also super nice and knowledgable about the facility. I highly recommend visiting!!

Nestled across 45 scenic acres, the Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site is a treasure trove of 18th-century architecture and rich history. This captivating site offers visitors an insightful glimpse into Northeast Tennessee's past, showcasing the area's native culture alongside significant events from the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. As you wander through well-preserved structures linked to notable figures like Colonel John Tipton and Landon Carter Haynes, you'll uncover stories that shaped this region.
We brought our three-year-old grandson there, and he had a blast checking out the buildings and the cave! The historical aspects are lost on him, but my wife and I loved reading about the history. We were there a while back for the Maple Syrup Festival, and that was awesome and very educational as well! If you like history and seeing how people used to live, definitely go visit Tipton-Haynes!
Mike — Google review
Nice historic homestead in Johnson City. There are plenty of things to look at and explore. We opted for the self guides tour, which is 4.00 pp. This tour does not include entry into the buildings and house but was perfect for us as we didn't want to wait 45 mins before another tour took place. The guided tour is about 45 mins to an hour long, which we were also not into. There is a really neat cave that you can walk into. Also, a natural spring and springhouse.
Ashley S — Google review
Tour guide was absolutely amazing, She was super knowledgeable about all my questions. Had amazing recommendations for me to do while in the area. The only draw back was it was dark in the cave, and that's coming from a professional miner. Good luck on your PHD!
Mothman O — Google review
If you've not visited this historical site, you need to put it on your list! Just outside of Johnson City proper, this site has deep history, beautiful well kept buildings, friendly knowledgeable staff, and amazing activities and events. Highly recommend!

This place was very interesting. Col. Jonathan Tipton is my husband's 6th Great Grandfather so it was cool to see where he lived. Emily was an awesome tour guide & we learned a lot about the history of the place & the Franklin Battle that happened at this site. We walked down to the cave but didn't go too far into it. We also drove through Cades Cove loop the next day & visited the Tipton cabin there. It was great to see too. We got to see a Mama Bear & her 2 cubs while we were stopped there.
Sue P — Google review
My husband and I toured the grounds & historic buildings with Taylor, a wonderful docent. She did a fantastic job with historic details and unique stories. The indoor museum was very well done as well. I recommend taking the docent led tour after walking thru the museum.

This is a really great place to visit! The Friday I went, they were setting up for the Highland Games on the property. It looked like a pretty big event. The visitors center is filled with all kinds of historical information about this area and Tennessee in its infancy. And the small gift shop has some great gifts, too! I went inside the cave bordering the rear of the property. That was an experience worth going by itself.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of historic downtown Johnson City, Founders Park is a delightful community oasis that beckons visitors year-round. Spanning five acres along the banks of the Nolichucky River, this park offers a serene escape with its winding walking paths and lush green spaces perfect for relaxation or family outings. Art enthusiasts will appreciate the impressive Sculpture Walk featuring life-sized pieces that add an artistic flair to the landscape.
What a gem! A beautiful setting to feel nature and view the surrounding mountains while you walk or hang out. There is a rock area and stream that runs through the park. It's beautiful. As well as sculptures, as you walk around. The walking is paved and flat. I can't say enough good things about Founders!
Dee S — Google review
I used to love coming here for the live music but now they moved all that to Kings Common. Still a great place to throw ball, walk your dog, or listen to the water flow. Take a walk around the park and look at the art.
AJ S — Google review
It’s a wonderful unique park that’s very people and pet friendly. I also has great community events held there. The city also displays local artists creations around the walking path, the at gets changed on a fairly regular basis so there is always a chance to see something new. It is also within walking distance and in sight of some great restaurants, cafe’s and pubs.
Cassie R — Google review
I really like this park, it is very serene, it's a full circle path, in the summer it has art sculptures you can admire and christmas it's decorated very nicely with tons of different christmas trees from local businesse owners. What I love the best is the small creek that runs around it. It's just so calming and soothing. Listening to the sound of the water is just perfect. You walk around or bring a book sit in one of the benches, grass, or one of the stones edge by the creek. It's perfect to go have a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants and then take a stroll. It's great for a date night walk or a picnic. It's just lovely.
Madeline M — Google review
Johnson City’s Founders Park is a fantastic way to get out and enjoy the amazing Christmas trees. The park is beautiful in itself so this is an added holiday bonus. So if the weather is right and the kids and/or fur kids need to run around, this is the place to go!
Shannon Y — Google review
Went to see the Christmas trees that are decorated by various groups and charities in Johnson City. The walk around the park was wonderful and the trees were all beautiful! Great place to take the family, pets, and to go on a date.
Delilah F — Google review
I would give this little Park six stars if I could. If you ever find yourself in Johnson City Tennessee and you do not stroll through this fantastic little Park you are doing yourself a disservice. The way the walking path meanders through absolutely gorgeous landscape architecture is brilliant.
B J — Google review
This is probably the most wonderful place in all of Johnson City. A very clean park, wide and spacious, with benches and other areas for seating. A creek runs through the middle of Founders Park with steps leading down to the water so children and dogs can play. Beautiful trees, plants, and foliage make this place very pleasing to the eye. This a great area to jog, walk, or to bring your dog to walk or play.

Small little museum on campus with interesting art and things from the settling of Tennessee and history in Tennessee as well as local art students art. Will take a few minutes if your day to check out but def worth the look.

I really enjoyed my first visit today. The staff was extremely helpful regarding on-campus parking, and the exhibits were extremely interesting. It's nice to have an art / cultural museum in our local area.
Sherri H — Google review
This small museum has different exhibits and talks time to time. We once came to the museum for a talk about WW I and learned about Sargent Stubby, the only dog to achieve the rank of Sargent in the army for his service. Kind of neat and there was an animated movie about him too. Before our visit we went to the Culp Center for a dinner meal. I was surprised at the variety of meal choices including Vegan options. Nothing like when I was attending classes there. Anyway the museum is a nice place to visit with ample parking but be sure to get a pass if you are there before 4
John B — Google review
The current displays are student-based (elementary through high school), which is great! There was also a small music exhibit. However, based on previous reviews, I was expecting at least a few more stereotypical works of art. That was a little disappointing. The museum is on the very beautiful campus of East Tennessee State University.

This is a fantastic Park not too big not too small. I have a fantastic pond on the Antioch road side. The pond is only 50 yards from the parking lot so very easy with almost anyone with any medical problems, old age wheelchair whatever very easy access to the pond as it also has a deck connected to it to sit on for viewing.

family & pet friendly park; Amazing view of the mountions & A Decent Variety of ways to enjoy the day. A membership only dog park is a nice addition. MAJOR PLUS; Bathroom is well kept more then most public restrooms! I definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys exercising outdoors, picnicking with the family, walking dog's, or just to let the children run free with comfort. I know you will enjoy your day there, just like I enjoyed mine. ♡♧ ~NM

Area range including play area for kids, frisbee golf, ball fields, easy walking paved areas around the ball field, and if you like to travel "off-grid" there's some trails out back. See pics of nature walks from out back, across Wetlands. *Also, way out back, looks like a place to rent a cabin ...?

Bar
Established in 1976, Down Home is a music center that stands out from modern performance venues due to its emphasis on the appreciation of quality live performances. Unlike others, it discourages excessive talking during shows and instead prioritizes listening to the music. The venue boasts state-of-the-art sound systems positioned throughout the room and hanging from above, enhancing the overall experience for attendees.
Such an intimate venue with great lighting and sound. Saw a Bluegrass group here recently and it was a full house! If there's a show here, you should definitely check it out. They have food as well, but did not get to try any. Decent beer selection, no liquor.

Great listing room for a small venue. Straight ladder back chairs tables. Tonight's performance was a sold out performance and everybody was pretty crowded. I didn't have any food but what I saw looked really good and people seemed to be enjoying it. There is a full bar. The food is a limited menu. It really doesn't matter where I go there's always someone next to me talking through the whole show. The flow over crowd was just sitting in chairs along the wall on both sides of the railing. I walked around and all the seats seemed to be really good seats that you can hear and see very well. I will definitely go back.

My favorite venue! The Down Home always feels like home. Caught a matinee show this past Sunday (Jon Charles Dwyer and Caleb Caudle) and it was absolutely delightful.

The Down Home has been a great local music venue in Johnson City for as long as I can remember. We arrived early enough to order dinner (which was delicious), have a few beers and catch some great live music- comfortably and conveniently seated in our booth the entire time. Truly a wonderful experience!

We love this place. It's so fun and the staff are super friendly. I wish they would turn the AC on it's hot as heck in there!

Intimate up close environment for live music. Highly recommended and been around, I think since 1976. So there is alot of history in this small venue. That is Blue Highway in the picture. Yee-Haw Brewing Company, established in 2015 in downtown Johnson City, TN, has quickly become one of the top breweries in the Southeast. The brewery offers a variety of local craft beers and boasts a trendy interior with exposed brick and ample seating. Adjacent to the brewery is White Duck Taco, located in a historic train depot, offering visitors the option to enjoy tacos alongside Yee-Haw's fantastic beer selection.
Loved the atmosphere here. Had a great crowd and bar staff. The White Duck taco shop next door is really good. The beer here is very well done. Owned by the same group that owns Smokey Mountain Moonshine. Highly recommend it if you're in the Johnson city area.

Yee-Haw has been our #1 place since we first visited and moved to JC. They're friendly, the beers are amazing, and has great indoor and outdoor seating. I have never had a bad experience and we go almost weekly at this point.

The perfect Tennessee vibes. It’s honestly never super packed even on game days, or it just has plenty of seating to seem spacious. Beer selection is always good and they’ve got good seasonal selections. It’s the perfect spot to catch the game. The White Duck Taco shop is connected and has great chips & queso as well as some quirky taco options. Overall, fun place to hangout and just vibe.

During a recent visit to Johnson City, TN, my wife and I spent most every evening at Yee Haw Brewing Company. If you are in the Johnson City area, it’s well worth a stop! The location is an old train station in downtown. The tracks beside the building are still active and a freight train routinely blows through. It’s easy to imagine what the place was like 100 years ago! The beer was great! Our favorite was the hazy IPA. It’s as good as any beer I get at home in Colorado. The service was quick and easy and the people were friendly. The vibe was laid back and unpretentious. It’s very similar to some of my favorite home breweries. The interior is cool and has a nice rustic look with beer bottle chandeliers. There is plenty of seating among the tables, chairs, and couches. The weather was warm and the seating area opened onto a patio with a firepit. It’s a relaxing place to end the day! The parking lot is on the small side but we found a spot most every visit. If the lot is full, I would park on S. Commerce Street, located on the west side of the railroad tracks, and then walk over. There is a taco company attached to the brewery. It looked popular but we never ordered food. We very much enjoyed our visit and look forward to visiting again. Stop by and enjoy a beer, or two!

I served in two branches Marines and Army, they assumed I was intoxicated which I was not. Was with my family and I had not been here in two years. They gave food which was good but never been inside this restaurant and they turned me away. Good people but the way they run thing's is not acceptable. Mr Manager if you're reading this. Actually. Let the person instead of judging off of people.

A must visit at this great restaurant. The tacos are just great. I enjoyed the "Shrimp po' boy" and the "Korean Beef Bulgogi" tacos. The home-brewed beer tastes very good. I was also introduced to the world of sour beers. -> Thanks to that!
Locutus — Google review
For being in a small town this Brewery was surprisingly good. The atmosphere is relaxed and there is good variety of beers on tap. If you like bold and boozy I'd highly recommend the Velvet Charmer Scotch Ale, they nailed that one on the head. No fear of you are hungry because this brewery is attached to an amazing taco restaurant as well!

Libraries
The Johnson City Public Library, established in 1895 by The Monday Club, has grown from a small group of women's initiative to promote literature and knowledge sharing. Located in downtown Johnson City, the two-story, 42,000-square-foot building offers a wide selection of books for all age groups. Visitors can also access audio books, e-books, and public computers. The library provides a quiet place for studying or reading with scenic views of the surrounding mountains from its lounge area.
The Johnson City public library has so much more to offer than just books! They are open although public computers are not accessible at this time they are still very helpful. I needed stuff from my phone printed and I didn't have a clue what to do. The information desk upstairs was able to help me easily! They were AWESOME! Great staff! I also walked by the kids section and it looks very inviting for kids to hang out and read or listen to stories and the other many kids activities that the library has to offer.
Jeana G — Google review
Mostly clean and up-to-date interior and bathrooms, decent amenities and space. But slightly too much talking even from the staff themselves, should be more quiet. And a homeless person shaved themself at the sink in the bathroom and did not clean up after himself. Which was the only thing not clean, bathroom was otherwise fine.

We love this library! Friendly children's staff, lots of programs, very helpful librarians. They get a lot of new books which is nice.

The library is a bright beacon in this city. Our kids love it. What I find most impressive was how modern and well equipped this library is compared to even some big cities library. The staff is always helpful. Kids love automatic machine handler to see their books being picked up and sorted by the automatic machine. The children section of the library has books, computer games, puzzles, Legos and the ven outside sitting atea

Nice and clean and big open areas with high ceilings. Very spacious there are elevators for your convenience to get to the second level. On the second level there is a room that is equiped with computer stations open to the public to search the WEB or just go online for whatever you desire. There is also a separate room for charging your electronics and tables chairs that sit around the charging station. You will however need at least a USB cable to charge. These cables are not provided.

Friendly staff, always willing to go the extra mile. Brought the GrandBubba to Pokémon night he absolutely loved it. Seems to a good atmosphere for clubs or meet ups. I can’t wait to start genealogy research or just sit and crochet. They have a good amount of computers for use. I love the fact that fiction and the huge children’s section is on first floor. The stairs take up to other areas including study rooms.

If you're looking for an engaging and educational experience for the whole family, look no further than the Hands On Discovery Center. This vibrant science museum is designed to spark curiosity in children of all ages through a variety of interactive exhibits and programs. From exploring paleontology displays to marveling at a musical Tesla coil, there's something here for everyone. The center features a three-story climbing structure that encourages physical activity while fostering imaginative play.
This is a great museum and interactive discovery center. Several fun play ‘stations’ that you would not have the opportunity to play with at home. Our 6-yo particularly liked the exhibit where you could color in an aquatic animal, then scan it and bring it to life on a giant screen filled with other children’s creations. They really have a great thing going here and definitely worth the stop if you are traveling through or if have little ones.
Tony S — Google review
We’ve been members for three years. Our kids are 4 and 7 now. They still love it. It’s not a huge kids museum but has plenty for us to do. Outside they have a kids dig area and beautiful garden to walk through. We enjoy the arts and craft stations - they rotate the theme. If you visit, remember to cross the outdoor skywalk and visit the other half. The staff works tirelessly to pick up after the families ALL day. It’s almost always clean and organized which, as parents, we know is a ton of work. Recently the staff has been extra friendly, personable, and have gone out of their way to provide an excellent experience.
Briana B — Google review
I took my 13 year old after a doctor's appointment to kill some time, since we live so far away and we had a blast! The active dig site and watching the people putting fossils together in the rooms was amazing! The experiments and stuff may seem basic to some, but it was a great time! We especially enjoyed L.A., a nice lady that was working there. My son had a bit of a meltdown and she managed to get him to help her clean up and everything!
Tessa B — Google review
I gave 3 stars but only because I’ve had mixed experiences with staff. My 2nd grader and I homeschool, so we like to take advantage of the science classes and have made friends at hands-on both staff and other homeschool children. One staff member, Parker, is so fun and enthusiastic, he makes it very exciting for my daughter with a friendly personality and willingness to answer any questions and problem solve with us any time. Another staff member, LA, always gives us a warm welcome and when she is teaching classes, she really does an excellent job of getting the children involved. We really feel welcomed by her demeanor and she asks the children many questions, and is always happy to take the time to get everyone involved in class. You can tell that LA is both knowledgeable and loves kids and loves her job. Another excellent employee is Beth, she’s so kind and knowledgeable as well. Beth makes us feel welcomed and bring excitement to learning for the kids, we feel happy to see her face. I give those 3 employees 5 star reviews! However, there are a couple employees that make us uncomfortable. Two women never says a word when we walk in the door, they kind of huff or puff like they’re annoyed more people are here… if they’re running a class, they’re both very boring, monotone, rushing, no excitement for the kids, they just act as tho it’s an inconvenience, or perhaps they don’t like kids? I can see if someone is having a bad day but this seems like it’s their personalities. I checked in one day, there was a bit of a line, we entered the classroom at 11:02, she acted as tho we were late and wanted to see my receipt, we are members, she’s seen us many times, she then proceeded to act annoyed when we were following the written directions for the robot setup and coding. She was going so slow, not interested in helping, not making it fun for the kids. Another parent asked me for help because the teacher is unapproachable and was going too slowly. As homeschooling parents, all of our children move at their own pace, that’s why we homeschool. I give specifically those women zero (0) stars. I guess my suggestion would be to only let people the who love children AND are good with kids teach the classes. LA and Beth are both great and knowledgeable and have a great way with children. Parker makes us feel like we’re never lost and is always around to teach us how something works if we don’t know how to use an area. The other ladies maybe belong behind the scenes? They aren’t great for customers.

Utterly disappointed with this program. I was so excited to take my stepson to experience something that I have such fond memories of as a child. The last time I went was to take my nephew almost a decade ago. So, this was my first experience at the new location and it was terrible. The fun nostalgic things that I remember as a child and got to take my nephew too were not moved to the new location. There is barely any interaction and the room across the bridge is a joke. I hyped up this trip for over a week only for him to not enjoy it. 0/10.

Wow! We could not have had more fun. Highly recommend a visit. We came on a Wednesday and we were the only folks there, but got deluxe treatment from the staff/bartender. I really wanted to love this place! The gin/champagne cocktail was fantastic. It was quiet and felt like a chill place. It got kind of weird when the bartender told us to order another drink or get the check. There was only 1 other table and we hadn't been sitting there for very long, plus we'd ordered several drinks and food. Just an observation, but the 'bouncer', for want of a better term, drank like a fish. It was fun to check this place out, but it won't get put on the rotation.
Bethany W — Google review
This is a really cool place for parties, date nights, gatherings of two or more! I don't think I'd come back here as a single female. Being trapped in the small waiting room for 10 minutes with no companion, no employees, and big parties of drunk males (no other women present) was not fun. At least this time, the guys decided to shoplift some of the display beer instead of harassing me much. Given that the neighborhood isn't the best, leaving wouldn't have been a great option either if they decided to follow me out. I highly recommend Windsor for groups of two or more, just don't go here alone as a woman!

Such a cool vibe and entrance. Makes you feel like a VIP. The drinks were OK, a little too sour across the board. I’m pretty sure my Chardonnay was not a Chardonnay. If so, need a new house selection. Too pretentious for the price.

I love this joint. Themed well but not too cliche. The drinks are good very well thought out and beautifully served. I think that they are expensive, yes, but compared to the same experience in Asheville on par. I appreciate having to ask for drinks and the bar tenders not forcing them on me and at place like this I feel one could get drunk too quickly. So,having to ask for drinks helps keep me in check.

I enjoyed it overall. Didn't have a reservation, but the hostess found a table for us. My husband had a burger and fries, I had the fish tacos and maple glazed brussel sprouts. The food was lukewarm, but pretty good. The mixed drink I had was good. The atmosphere was very casual. Will try again.

Had a great lunch here while visiting my student at ETSU. I had a blue cheese burger — not a huge burger but was plenty to eat — and the sweet potato fries were incredible. Dusted with some type of sugary spice and dipped in honey mustard — chef’s kiss. We also had the crab ragoon appetizer… so delicious. Others at the table had sushi, filet, and a Reuben. Everyone was thrilled with their meals.

Weeknight dinner stop. The salmon was amazing! If you stop in for lunch or dinner make sure you get the garlic Parmesan fries, you will thank me. The maple glazed Brussel sprouts were too sweet; pass on those and get extra garlic Parmesan fries! The place was pretty full for a Tuesday evening. We did run dry on drinks a couple of times. With that being said the server was friendly and our wait time was short. If you’re in the area it’s worth a visit.

Label Restaurant in Johnson City is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed into a warm, rustic environment where repurposed materials, tasteful wood textures, and thoughtful lighting work together to create an atmosphere that is both inviting and elevated. It’s stylish without being pretentious — relaxed, but still very intentional. General Manager Bailee sets the tone beautifully. Her leadership shows in the way the staff moves — confident, attentive, and genuinely proud of what they’re creating. It’s a young crew, but their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail are impressive. The restaurant was spotless — from the dining floor to the glassware to the bar. Cleanliness was clearly a priority, but it never felt forced or sterile. It simply felt well cared for. As a food photographer, I had the chance to taste and visually study over 25 dishes, and this is where Label truly shines. The kitchen — led by a chef who understands both flavor and aesthetic — delivers plates that are visually composed with intention. The color contrasts, the balance of textures, the careful garnishing — everything appeared camera-ready the moment it hit the table. But behind the beauty is real freshness and flavor. The ingredients tasted vibrant and high-quality; nothing felt processed or heavy-handed. Plates had depth, but also clarity — the kind of food where you can identify every flavor note, yet still enjoy the harmony of the whole dish. The sushi was bright and clean, the proteins were handled with skill, sauces were well-reduced and thoughtfully paired, and even simple sides carried their own character. Label delivers an experience that feels remarkably close to fine dining, but without any of the stiffness or exclusivity. Instead, it’s approachable, warm, and confident — the kind of place where creativity meets comfort. Thank you, Bailee!

We ended up going to this farmer’s market on a sunny Saturday in May. The market closer to our house was closed for a festival. I had heard wonderful things about this market. So, I went hoping to find table after table of spring vegetables. I found more baked goods, fresh ground coffee and crafts than fruits and vegetables. We did find some delicious offerings among the stands - most were local families or farmers. The Dawn Treader Bakery is there often and offers an amazing variety of home baked yummies. Rivers of Love coffee offers some delicious coffees and they donate to local charities. We will come back again, maybe later in the growing season there will be more fruits and veggies to buy.

Their products may be great, but the entertainment was terrifying. It began with a juggling act of some sort. Then progressed to a woman screaming. There is no other word for it. Her screams were so terrifying we had to leave. Not only for the sake of my grandchild being affected but for our sakes as well. I have no idea what this has to do with a Farmers Market but I’m done.

Thanks to the wonderful folks at Washington County Extension office my wife and I are fortunate enough to be able to attend this wonderful venue every Saturday. Located in the heart of Johnson City this open air market will delight your senses with fresh vegetables, sweet smells and excellent music. A must see!

My favorite Saturday morning activity! I love it when Auntie Ruth's Doughnuts food truck shows up to serve homemade Doughnuts. There's always a great selection of fruits and vegetables and even baked goods, jam, honey, etc. If you live in the area you should try to make it down here at least once!
Chloe W — Google review
Meat, eggs and mostly fresh local produce. This coffee roaster is top-notch. I also agree that the craft booths vastly outnumbered the produce and farm goods on an earlier visit. On July 7, there were many produce stands, Auntie Ruth food and 3 coffee stands.
Cynthia C — Google review
More of a craft market than a farmers market, which is pretty disappointing given how much amazing food is produced in this region. There are very few actual farmers here, and even fewer organic options (with the exception of A Different Chick farm, which has great eggs!). I guess most growers/producers sell at the Abingdon or Asheville markets instead (both of those are excellent!)? You’re more likely to find cinnamon rolls and freeze dried candy here than you are salad greens or apples.

Boone Lake, located near Johnson City, is a public dam and reservoir that offers an array of recreational activities. This reservoir features a beautiful lake where visitors can enjoy boating, fishing, and swimming. Despite the current low water levels caused by a previous dam break, it is anticipated that the reservoir will be fully restored by 2021.
Luv-luv-luv this peaceful lake. Plenty of parking, picnic tables, grills, swim area, and an ah-mazing pavillion.

This no dog rule sucked but if not for that it's amazing in the summer and beautiful attractions everywhere bathrooms wash house no life guard on duty just you and God out there sand and some buoys

Great place to fish and overall just a great place to take friends or family to either swim, fish,or have a picnic/party watch out for cops 👮‍♂️ or game wardens bc they will ruin your day if they can but still a good place to have fun when you get the chance best times to go is definitely spring/summer time
Jesse B — Google review
Although the lake access is limited, the water is extremely low levels and will remainso for a while, still plenty of water to enjoy and plenty of fish still left roaming.
Jeremiah D — Google review
The lake is fun, it's just the kids and the water. The lake itself is perfect. It has an orange barrier to mark off the swimming area and the rest is for boats and kayaks. I'm 5'8 and I could touch the ground till the orange border. Now the kids, It will be a chance to get an annoying kid. When I went, I went with my friends and their family and that had it kayaks and my friend went on their kayak and there was this kid that tried to pee on me so I called my friend over and told him about the kid. The kid was a jerk. Once my friend came over the kid asked him for the paddle to hit a kid, probably me, and my friend thankfully said no. That kid didn't take no for an answer. That kid still tried to get his paddle and on the kayak they had a rope on the back to help pull it up to your area, and the kid being the jerk he is tried to grab that rope and pull him back. thankfully the jerk let it go and I have no clue where he went after that. Another story of an annoying kid is when my friend got off the kayak some kid that I didn't see threw dirt at him and when my friend looked over at him, the kid hid behind his siblings. One last story of annoying kids is when my friend got off the kayak, this was a different time, 2 little kids tried to get on board the kayak acting like it was his. That's all about annoying kids but the water, if swallowed, will make you sick. When I went it was Sunday, May 26th at around 2 pm. It is now Thursday, may 31st, and I'm sick. So If you go I don't recommend drinking the water but you probably will get some in your mouth and accidentally swallow it and get sick like me. Over the lake was fun but the kids sorta ruined it.

Beautiful picture setting! My son and I were getting professional pictures taken, and this is my first time here. Absolutely beautiful. I didn't see one piece of trash on the ground either. It's very well kept in the bathrooms are clean. There was no soap in the bathroom but I carry sanitizer so I toughed it out. Definitely worth going and definitely take a camera.

Such a wonderful experience! This place has been around for years, with good reason. The service was great, food was delicious...the mountcastle croissant with truffle fries was incredibly delicious and the desserts were amazing, especially the peach creme brulee with blueberry whipped cream and pistachio brittle. The bananas foster was a close second. I can't wait to go back!

My partner and I have been here about 5 times now and we just can’t get enough. The daily artisan bread and butter to start with is phenomenal. I can’t wait to try the local cast iron cornbread. For dinner, I ordered the pan roasted chicken and my oh my, compliments to the chef for one of the juiciest and most flavorful chicken breast my pallet has ever experienced. My partner ordered the grass fed beef Filet Mignon with steak sauce. Very carefully thought out with exquisite flavors and cooked to perfection. I love that every menu item is locally sourced ingredients. That means you can trust the food you’re eating . Parmesan Gnocchi and fresh butternut squash puree are also phenomenal . I enjoyed the Old Fashioned the bartender crafted for me. Very unique and tasty. My partner gets the Sweet tea every single time!! 10/10 recommend we will keep visiting . Shout out to our waitress, Rachael. She is a sweetheart and very professional. Kept our drinks full the entire time without hovering. She took our leftovers to the back and prepared our take home for us. We truly enjoy Gourmet & Co. See you again soon!!

The International Storytelling Center is a vibrant hub for the performing arts, featuring captivating storytelling exhibits and a retail shop. It has established partnerships with various local organizations and affiliates in the tourism sector, including the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development and Jonesborough Area Merchants & Services Association. The center is renowned for its annual National Storytelling Festival, which attracts numerous visitors every October. Visitors can also explore the historic Chester Inn, where three Presidents, including Andrew Jackson, once stayed.
This annual festival is an absolute treasure. Here are the things I loved, and the things I didn't. Things I liked: - It is attended by some of America's best storytellers - Ticket cost seems steep for an outdoor festival but, looking back, it was actually a bargain. If you can attend for two days, the all-access pass is well worth it. In fact, looking back, I think it was a great bargain, even though I had to drive more than 10 hours each way to get there! - The staff who mount the annual festival that has been ongoing for more than five decades, do a phenomenal job of coordinating an efficient and friendly atmosphere - The many performers, who share their entertaining craft art, unfailingly, accessible, and willing to spend a moment with their fans. - The town of Jonesboro, Tennessee is delightful, but more on that in a separate post. What I didn't like, not much really: - The festival's website doesn't cater much to newcomers so it can be difficult to understand how to plan your trip and the shows you may want to see. The staff can be very helpful, but are also busy.

Nice, relatively small facility, but well done. Includes a small auditorium, a gift shop, and an upstairs event room and it is adjacent to a nice refreshing garden. These folks lead/sponsor the annual Story Telling Festival on October. on this June afternoon, we attended a Saturday matinee which was delightful. This visit was part of their series that runs several months, beginning in May. The weekday sessions can be as much as $14, but the Saturday matinees are $7. Recommended.

We had our wedding at the International Storytelling Center on August 20th, 2022! I grew up going to this venue for their storytelling events, and it was so special that I was able to get married at a spot that means so much to my family and hometown. The venue itself is GORGEOUS and so much prettier than my memory serves. You can rent any combination of their space -- the park, the library, the parlor, and the courtyard. We rented the park for our ceremony, the parlor for food, and the courtyard for our reception and it was PERFECT! The parlor has huge windows so there was plenty of natural light and it has a balcony overlooking Main Street! The courtyard is spacious and just shaded enough to be great for an outdoor August reception! The park is so, so beautiful and has so many different areas that you could hold your ceremony in! Additionally, even though we didn't rent it, they told my bridesmaids and I that we could get ready in the library, since you are only charged for where you set up, and they recommended the Chester Inn right beside the venue for the groomsmen to get ready in! They also have a kitchen that is well-stocked with food prep items, which was helpful for our food service that day! Lesley, the Facility Director, was our point person throughout the whole planning process. She was so helpful, cheery, and willing to answer every question we could think of. We live in Nashville, so the first few venue "visits" had to be conducted through video chat, and Lesley was so accommodating of that! If you are looking at the Storytelling Center as a venue, be sure to talk to Lesley! I cannot compliment or recommend this venue enough! Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish and my husband and I are tempted to marry each other over and over just so we could rent this venue again and again! I've attached photos of the day, and our photographer was Abigail Wheeler! She is another person that we can't recommend enough for any photo needs!

Older arena that has been updated. We watched a basketball tournament and it was easy to see the action from all around the arena in any seat. Bathrooms clean! Concessions were easy access and offered the normal fare. Popcorn, my fave, was actually better than most arenas. Parking was easy. If you need wheelchair or easier access be mindful of which spaces are designated to help you into the main entrance otherwise it goes down steps and back up.

I have seen my favorite band over 25 times, so I have purchased multiple concert tickets, including tickets I drive to another state to see. This venue has a lock on purchasing tickets online so you have to call in to purchase. Representative was very short and acted like it was my fault for the prices not matching, but somehow found a way to come down $20 after I told her what the online price was. Most ridiculous ticket buying experience I have ever had. She offered explanations but no apology.

Freedom Hall is such a great venue to see live acts. It‘s big enough to get the roar of a crowd and small enough to feel like it's an intimate show.
Corey B — Google review
Attended a concert and the venue was not very organized. There were no signs or people directing traffic for parking. We found a bag of cocaine in the parking lot. There was no notification in the insert with the tickets that vapes are not allowed on the premises at all. The only redeeming quality is the sweet man who upgraded our seating.Because there were seats available.
Jaclyn P — Google review
Just left In This Moment concert and it was amazing. But,Freedom Hall shouldn’t allow Heavy Metal shows and sell PIT tickets if they aren’t going to allow a mosh pit. That’s complete crap and it took away from the experience. I’ve never been to a metal show or venue that didn’t allow that.
Kari S — Google review
Nothing against the bands that performed in any way. Ded was good, Dayseeker was flawless, and In This Moment has never failed to put on a good show. However the aesthetic ITM does was quickly ruined by the staff before they even came out. I’ve never been to any for of a metal show where the staff goes out of their way to stop a mosh pit but I’ll be damned they did and it ruined the whole show. During Dayseeker a few of us opened a pit up on the request of Rory which lasted all of 5 seconds before the joke of a security team shut it down. The when another group tried during ITM they did the exact same. I’ve been to pop punk shows where they allowed us to have a pit. Needless to say all the staff wanted you to do was stand there.

Loved this place! Took my 7 year old and 14 year old and we had a really good time. Three cool things I think we liked the most: 1) the scavenger hunt (although I did hafta lug the heavy stepping stools about so my 7 year old could participate) 2) the wall that shows the secret language hobos used and gave a backstory on hobos was neat (and they throw a few of the glyphs around the museum, and my gals liked deciphering them) 3) the kids immensely enjoyed the train simulator. The models are incredible and the scavenger hunt helps you appreciate all the detail that has went into them.

History and reproduction of local trains and villages. One carefully designed layout authentically recreates Carter County, Tennessee and Avery County, North Carolina trains, tracks and villages. Great historical exhibits, a short movie, a shop with photos of Tweetsie and other local trains and experts who explain the exhibits and answer questions. There was live music the day I visited.

There is so much to see, and no matter how many times you go back for another look, you will see details you missed before. So much love and care went into the amazing displays, and it shows. There are so many friendly people there who are obviously passionate about the subject of railroading and local railroad history. Even adults and kids who aren't that interested in trains, will love the interesting scenes going on in the models. We will be coming back for sure!

Operating from 8 AM to 6 PM daily, this establishment offers an array of top-notch coffee and Harvey & Sons tea options. The ambiance is charming and inviting, creating a cozy atmosphere for patrons. Although the customer service could have been slightly better, the staff was still helpful and kind.
Absolutely lovely place for some delicious coffee and beautiful art! I appreciate the welcoming environment that the staff offer. And so helpful when choosing which drink off their menu to choose from! I ended up with an iced mocha with almond milk and their gluten free “Cosmic Brownie!” Both were SO good! Thankful for this place for offering substitutes for milk and offering gluten free options.

I appreciate their focus on support of downtown business and local artisans. My wife purchased a new tote bag that is perfect for the farmers market after you pick up your cup of coffee or tea. Pros: They're very nice and friendly here, I spilled my iced latte and they made me a new one. They make great cappuccinos. I like their beans a lot. My mom comes multiple times a week when she's visiting. Look how beautiful the latte art is! Keep in mind (if you have kids): I feel like the vibes are not quite right for bringing the kids - which is fine if you're childfree or can get away on your own - but I always feel just a little anxious when I've got mine in tow. More of a grab-and-go situation if you're a mom with social anxiety.

Went to a more local commercialized coffee place first. I should’ve come to Dos Gatos from the very beginning. Not only is it a queer-friendly space, but I absolutely loved the environment and the people. The barista was very nice and made an amazing cold brew coffee. This is one of the friendliest coffee shops I’ve ever been to! We stopped in here while visiting Johnson City, and everyone from the baristas to the other patrons were were instantly welcoming and warm - telling us their favorite drinks, and local hiking spots. Great banana bread and lattes too. Highly recommend!
Christine K — Google review
I’ve been coming to this coffee shop since it opened. I’ve had my art work hanging on the walls at this establishment. However, today I had the most bizarre experience. I know the establishments beliefs, they don’t hide it; they have a flag on the wall, but today I experienced a kind of discrimination. Upon arriving, I go to place my order but before I’m asked what I would like, the two female workers inform me they were talking about lesbians. I smile and wait, but then they start talking about me and how I look like an ‘ally’. Again I smile and wait, I’m then asked to salute the pride flag if I’m an ally to which I say no. They then ask me if I’m going to commit a hate crime to which I reply ‘no’. I ordered and stayed for a little while. But ultimately I’m writing this because no matter the establishment or workers beliefs, that conversation was unprofessional and off-putting. I can, with confidence, say I will not be supporting Dos Gatos any further. Also, my toast was burnt and my coffee was flavorless which is unusual for them.

I love this place! I’m new to the Johnson City area and in my exploration, I knew I needed a good coffee place. The baristas are always kind, the coffee has been great every time I’ve gone. Went to see the Johnson City Doughboys play here. It was a really nice experience. First, tickets were not expensive. In fact, compared to other entertainment options in town, they were downright cheap. The park is a typical Class A field. The staff were very professional, and there were cheap food and souvenir options available. It is VERY kid friendly. We will definitely come back here our next time through town.

I want to give five stars because we LOVE attending games and supporting the Doughboys, the staff is super nice, and the amenities are decent enough…but the bathroom situation is ATROCIOUS. So impressed with the staff!! Parking attendants outside attentive & giving good direction... someone outside the doors to direct people once they entered the building... hostess at the top of the stairs on the ball... efficient concessions window...they were great! Seats were really comfortable. We went for comedians & they were super. My only complaint would be the condition of the microphone - taped together with scotch tape & cutting out at times. I would definitely return for other shows.

My wife and I went to the RHPS performance, and I must say I was quite impressed with the enthusiasm and energy the cast and crew brought to the production. You can tell they enjoyed what they do and the source material. Sadly we could only stay for the first half for medical concerns (ours not the cast) though we felt bad as the performance was spectacular. Also the fact that the music was played by a live band was a very nice touch, I personally have not seen that at any other show or showing that I have been to. I would not mind seeing the artists in another less flashy production. I will be keeping an eye on this little theatre. Job Well Done.

So great! This weekend's show, Godspell, was fantastic!!! The air of the theatre is amazing, and the small space posted with the audience and the stage bring on the same level makes it so much more interesting to watch the show. I've seen shows here before, and they've all been just as good or better.

I went to see the production of The Little Mermaid, and I was absolutely floored. This is a small theater, but they put on huge, magical shows. Everything I've seen here has been surprising and beautifully done. You can really see the work everyone puts into it all. I can't recommend it enough. Support this wonderful little theater!

Always a good time. Little mermaid was so good the 4&6 year olds sat on the edge of their seats fully absorbed! All seats provide good views of the stage. Can't wait to go again.

Oldest continually running community theatre in Tennessee. Other than that, it's a cozy little place that may or may not be haunted! Good ghosts or no, still a wonderful time with fun atmosphere and staff. You can tell they really care about it so I try to support as much as possible!

This is the oldest community theatre in the State of TN and each individual brings something valuable to the table. The building is old and worn but the actors and play productions are anything but! Do yourself a favor and check out one of their shows!

JCCT is a quaint venue featuring a thrust stage that brings the performance directly to the audience. Seating is comfortable and designed so that every chair has an open view of the action. The JCCT volunteers keep the place in tip top shape. The shows' are always cast with passionate performers who provide a unique and unforgettable experience for every patron. I highly recommend JCCT for any and every show you are considering seeing. Worth every $.

For an enjoyable time, visit Just Jump Trampoline Park, where you can experience the thrill of jumping with pleasure. This attraction caters to people of all physical abilities and fitness levels. The entire 22,000-square-foot facility is filled with various spaces for bouncing, springing, and leaping without restraint. The six and under hour is particularly appreciated by visitors who have young children. The premises are well-maintained and everything appears to be in good shape.
We took our 8-year-old here on a Saturday and he loved it! There's so many things to do for the kids, and adults are allowed in the areas as well, or you can relax on the upstairs mezzanine and keep an eye on your children anywhere in the building or watch the big screen tvs. They have a change machine, arcade games, claw machines, a hurricane simulator, a Hologate, restrooms, and food, drinks, and snacks are available for purchase. All in all, it's a great place to bring the kids and not too hard on the wallet.

Just Jump is always a hit with our family! I love that it’s an indoor play area where the kids can burn off energy no matter what the weather’s doing outside. We also had a great experience hosting a birthday party there last Friday — everything went smoothly, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Definitely a fun, easy place for kids to play and celebrate! 🎉🤸‍♀️

Fist time ever going and we loved it. My kids absolutely loved it even my 17 yr old was having fun and playing with his little brother. It was a wonderful day. All smiles from the whole family

So affordable. My kid had a blast. We were there mid afternoon on a weekday, and it was perfect. There were other kids to play with but it wasn't crowded. We have been quite a few times now. The most annoying thing is some kid that work here dribbles a basketball constantly. It vibrates the entire platform and is louder than the the joyful noise that fills the building. 😒

Just Junk Trampoline Park is a blast—tons of fun for kids (and adults too if you’re feeling adventurous). The staff keeps things moving, and the place is clean and well-run. Only downside? Some of the moms treat it like a runway for denim diapers. Not exactly family-friendly attire, but that’s not on the park itself. Still a great spot to burn energy and have a good time.

This charming and picturesque town is filled with quaint streets, fun shops featuring handmade items by local artisans, and a train depot museum. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely day of shopping, explore the 3-mile walkway through town, and immerse themselves in the historical ambiance.
Get a map and all the local info here before you make your downtown visit. Plan to spend a few minutes exploring the small informative museum. The one room museum is free to visit. Nice gift shop on-site. Need a restroom break....lots of free parking and clean bathrooms.

Beautiful little gem, nestled between the mountains of East Tennessee. This town is very historic, it's the oldest town in Tennessee! It's very picturesque and full of charm. Perfect for a day trip, or even to spend the night there and explore the area. Jonesborough is full of little shops, restaurants, small hotels, stores, and more. You can walk around downtown, explore, and find something for the whole family. My family and I liked it a lot and really enjoyed our day trip.

Quality of service depends on who you get to talk to. The gal who answered the phone on Monday morning August 25 was incredibly rude and did not embody anything that would make me want to visit. She hung up on me mid sentence as I was trying to thank her for helping me even though her tone made me feel like I was bothering her. She is NOT representative of what this town is known for - warm hospitality. She should probably consider a different career path that does not include interacting with customers.

Get a real taste of mountain history and heritage in the storytelling capital of the country. Lots of charming gifts and historical books to learn from and be inspired by. Visit during the international storytelling festival in October and be enchanted by this first town in Tennessee and the gorgeous colors of fall. They really decorate it beautifully, so enchanting and you can walk from place to place hearing some of the best storytellers in the world!

The building offers a comfortable setup with well-viewed stages from all seats and raised levels on the floor for better viewing. Visitors have also appreciated the clean and spacious environment with good acoustics and easy access.
Really enjoy going to the Martin Center. We have watched three of The Black Symphony performances, and they all were great. It is easy to get on and get out. We will be attending more performances at The Martin Center.

Our first time to the Martin Center at ETSU campus. Boy, it was a fantastic visit! We went to see the play called, "Come From Away." The campus, the parking, and the theater are in excellent condition. Just about everything is of pristine quality and cleanliness. The staff, who directed us to the parking and answered our questions at the theater and all of the other employees that we talked to, were well-informed and professional. They did an excellent job of helping us and making our visit enjoyable. The play was written about a very emotional subject, 9-11-2001. I had expected to shed a few tears, but the play took a different turn and focused on the positive things that happened to the people on the 38 planes that landed in Gander, Newfoundland, as well as the people who lived in Gander. At the end of the play, there was an arousing cheer, lots of applause, and about a two-minute standing ovation. All was well-deserved! The play was outstanding!

Absolutely phenomenal venue. Great staff. Awesome atmosphere. Not a bad seat in the place. Alcohol is served but may vary depending on the act. Typical movie theater snacks. Popcorn, candy, chips, etc. Only issue at all is they serve Pepsi for soft drinks and I am a Coke person. I’m all honesty, I’ve been to multiple concerts here and have enjoyed them tremendously. Seats are comfortable. Balcony seats are nearly right over top of the stage so it’s a great experience. Just went to see the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and loved it.

The company has been operating since 1856 and specializes in uncovering the paranormal history of Eastern Tennessee. Each tour is family-friendly and delves into popular legends from the area.
This was an amazing experience, me and my friends had so much fun and enjoyed learning more about the spooky stories of Dandridge. Not only did we got to see the orbs of spirits and feel their presence, but Stacey is a very entertaining and passionate tour guide who helped us to gain a new perspective on the afterlife.

My fiancée and I went on one of their tours last night and it was PHENOMENAL. I recommend going at night time. You get the chance to really absorb the stories while the town is quiet (less distractions). Stacey is a great storyteller!!!! He takes you through the history of the town and shares past encounters with ghosts. We got a lot of pictures with/of orbs that will resonate with us forever. If you're lucky and the timing is right, you can experience some interactions with ghosts who've stayed in the places they loved while living. We are for sure seeing Stacey again. He and his staff are very friendly and welcoming. They're passionate about this and will answer questions.

My fiancé and I were given a gift card for Christmas to go on a tour of our choice. We chose the Abingdon, VA tour and we were not disappointed! Our guide, Stacy, did an amazing job and was very informative; we loved how he used historical facts to connect the many ghost stores and sightings of the downtown area. The tour was originally a 2-3 hour tour but lasted almost 4 hours! We will definitely be booking another tour. Thanks, Stacy!

This was such a fun experience. Stacy told me and my friends all sorts of historical stories and experiences he had as well. We were lucky enough to feel ghosts presents and see orbs as well. Stacy is a great tour guide and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

This was one of the biggest cons of my life. We walked 220 feet (Google Maps confirmed) and stood in a vacant lot for 90 mins. There were no other locations our tour visited before we left. We ran into the rest of the group, who stayed the full 3 hours, on Sunday and they confirmed they didn't move from the vacant lot the remaining 90 minutes. Save your money and do ANYTHING other than this, this is a scam.

Had a bad experience with the Ticket Account Executive. Had a Christmas Stocking stuffer promotion, tried to redeem the gifts other than the tickets, was told to meet someone at the ticket office to redeem everything. When I did that, I was told to “come back when he wasn’t busy” after he seemed to be annoyed I even asked. Came back when no one was in line and he wasn’t busy, then told me he couldn’t leave. And I’d have to go elsewhere. Emailed the main email address and the GM email address and no apology after 36 hours so I am leaving this review.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful dining experience in Johnson City, look no further than The Main Street Pizza Company. This charming eatery specializes in gourmet hand-crafted pizzas that are sure to satisfy any craving. With a diverse menu that also includes subs, salads, and pasta, there's something for everyone.
Yes, it's called the "pizza company" but the real stars at this place are on the other side of the menu! Don't get me wrong, the pizza is good but the attention to detail in flavor on the rest of the menu is amazing and honestly, I wasn't expecting it. Even a simple dish like the cheese bread packs a flavorful punch I was not anticipating from something that seemed so standard on an Italian menu and I only ordered it the first time to keep the kids happy. My favorite feature however is the seasonal menu. All of their dishes, right down to each sauce, is made with fresh and perfectly in season ingredients that come from the local area so the seasonal menu are dishes created with ingredients that are at the perfect freshness. You can taste the passion in the ingredients and from what we heard, a lot of it comes straight from the owners personal farm. By the way! I love a good chicken wing and finding anything decent is always a challenge. Most wings are fatty, soggy and soaked in bottled sauces that don't really leave much of an impression. But not these wings! They were perfectly crispy, juicy, and you have to get them with the sweet Sriracha lime sauce. Trust me! The Buffalo is fine but this sauce makes them absolute magic. Because of the freshness, flavor, and oh did I mention the most amazing beer selection! From rich dark peanut buttery ports to fresh peach and creamy vanilla. If you want a new adventure in beer, taste anything they have on their draft board. This place is now our favorite spot in Johnson City for a family meal or lunch time craving. The owner has done a wonderful job putting his passion on a plate.

We loved our pizza! We like pan pizza and have struggled finding a place in tri cities that fit the bill but this one was pretty dang close! We had the cheese sticks, which I almost preferred over the pizza. I loved the garlic flavor! The cheese was thick and gooey! We had the carnivore medium pizza and it was great! Loved the toppings esp the large pepperonis. Service was good maybe a little slow but it was after the Sunday lunch crowd so understandable. Tap beer could be colder but they had a good selection. I enjoyed the smaller cozy feel of the place and look forward to going back!
Jan A — Google review
Surprisingly flavorful food. The pesto on the pizza was especially tasty but the chicken in the pasta had a little bit of a gamey taste. Wings were topnotch and blue cheese dipping sauce was excellent. Location was pretty good and nice customer service. Also many kinds of local beers. Overall it’s good.

So when I first saw this place I tried to visit a coffee shop nextdoor instead but to my surprise I was never even taken care of after waiting a while at the coffee shop with my ESA pup. We just finished driving for a couple hours and I needed water, ice, and some food to keep us going for the next long drive we had back home. I called and asked if we could get someone to help us in seating outdoors or any seating that is pet friendly. They said of course and we were taken care of right away. We ate a late lunch here. My waiter McKinna P and their team gave us all the attention we were needing that left us really happy. The amount of flavor packed in such fresh food was AMAZING! I ordered the chicken Alfredo with a salad and the garlic bread that came with it all was absolutely delicious (was able to take the amount I didn't eat home with it being such a big serving size). I'm gonna try visiting again but with my husband with how good this food is (I really want to try their pizza next). They also had some non alcoholic options that were yummy (I had the summer wind), perfect for such a hot day. Adding photos for reference :)

Awesome place! Staff was very nice and service was good. Love the old building. They make their own sauces for the chicken wings and they make homemade ice cream. Chicken wings were excellent. Went for the Chicken Schnitzel lunch special and was not disappointed. Hard to beat all this for $6.99! I got it with the fried potatoes and red cabbage. Both were really good. The servers were attentive and the atmosphere was peaceful. You can sit next to the windows upstairs and have a nice view of the Downtown streets.

A fun old building. Great environment. The food sounded outstanding but we found all the dishes were too salty, way too salty. If not for that the food would have been perfect from the Stuffed Cabbage, mashed potatoes, beef stew type dish amount others. The waitress was " ok". Not very polite or helpful. She seemed not to want to be there or preoccupied. The wait staff is often the first impression so .. Menu selection and pricing are good.

It has been a minute since I ate some good German food. The food was great and the portions were plentiful. All the food we ate tasted like authentic German food. The only thing I wish they had was some good German mustard. The waitress was very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant is in a old building, they need to invest in some repairs and a fresh update. Otherwise, I will be back when I am in the area.

Stopped by for lunch and experienced great food and service. I recommend the purple cabbage side dish. I'll be coming back soon. Lunch specials are delicious and easy on the 💵 wallet. A few things to note: 1) brats do not come with a bun. I assume that's an American thing, and this is a classic German fare restaurant. 2) The mugs for the drinks are heavy! You'll get a workout🏋️, lol. 3) it can be loud when it's busy, the hardwood floors and brick walls do not muffle the sound. 4) ♿⚠️There is a seating area upstairs as well as downstairs, and there is a step required to enter the building. Strollers any wheelchair access will need some assistance getting inside. 5) park across the street, beware the ⬅️ one way streets!

Server was very nice and did her job. She let us know that they were understaffed but she did fine. The Brat was ok, sort of dried out. Potatoes were pretty much tasteless and soft. Sauerkraut was good as was the Purple cabbage. The schnitzel was tender but not particularly flavorful. The prices were very good for the amount of food. They could just up the seasoning. It was sort of like German hospital food. Maybe we got there at the wrong time of day for the lunch food to be up to par or something.

If you’re looking for authentic German cuisine, look no further—this place is as authentic as it gets! The food is absolutely delicious. We loved it so much that we came back two days in a row. The service was excellent, especially at the bar, where we had some great conversations with the staff. They gave us spot-on recommendations, and everything we tried was phenomenal. The pretzels are soft, warm, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Whether you’re in the mood for burgers, sandwiches, or schnitzel, you simply can’t go wrong here. Pair your meal with an ice-cold stein of beer for the full experience. The décor is also on point—it really sets the mood and feels like you’ve stepped into a cozy German beer hall. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant

We decided to try this place for lunch today. Upon entering, we were promptly greeted and told to sit where we'd like. We picked a seat by the window. The waitress asked if we'd like a water, but didn't give any other options for drinks. After we'd decided on a "brunch menu" item, we were told that's served on a different day and to pick from the lunch menu. It's actually written, albeit very small, the specific times the brunch menu is being served. Our waitress stood there awkwardly while we both decided (again) what we'd like. I made a rushed decision to get a croque monsieur, because the waitress just seemed really busy and ready to take our order. My husband ended up deciding on a chicken sandwich. The food arrived promptly, and was pretty on the plate. Flavor was decent, but honestly everything was overpriced for what we received. The french fries were very hard, and felt like they had been sitting under a warmer. The crust of the bread was almost inedible it was so hard. The atmosphere is clean, and somewhat sophisticated. Some of the decor was questionable. The curtains on the windows make it feel like a Chinese buffet. The bathrooms were very clean.

My wife and I visited for Sunday Brunch. Our first time coming here even though we’ve driven by our entire adult lives. Cannot believe we’ve been missing out this whole time. The restaurant setting, the service, the menu, the food, is all top notch, and exceeded our expectations. My wife got the crab cakes Benedict and I got the chorizo tacos. Again, everything was wonderful!!!

I've visited here twice for brunch and enjoyed the experience both times. Mimosas are a generous size, come in a variety of flavors, and are surprisingly inexpensive. The food both times I've been has been under seasoned, but once I added salt and pepper, it was delicious. Fantastic biscuits and gravy, which I think can be very difficult for restaurants to really do well. The staff is been very friendly, and the service, while not exceptionally fast, was certainly fast enough for a somewhat leisurely and enjoyable brunch. All in all, I will absolutely return for brunch here.

My wife (Sandra) and I enjoyed going to Café LoLa for quite some time, so much so, we made a tradition of going there several years ago to enjoy a nice meal in celebration of our anniversary. Nearly two years ago, Sandra was called home to the kingdom of Heaven by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Last year I decided I would continue the tradition we started; this is the second year I celebrated our anniversary by going to Café LoLa. I ordered the same meals we both enjoyed, the last time we were there together, eating hers and taking mine home. I was blessed to (again) have the same server (Elliott (sp?)). This was not by chance, God’s will was done here by blessing me in this still difficult time with a friendly and familiar face. Elliott even remembered Sandra’s order (Chilean Sea Bass)….Can you believe that?!?! The atmosphere, food, and staff have always been great and I have to say Elliott’s service was outstanding (same as last year). What an enjoyable experience again this year and the icing on the cake was the second time being served by Elliott. Thank you Café LoLa for another wonderful anniversary dinner. God Bless y’all.

This place is a little quirky. I like that they have 2 dining rooms and almost seems like they have their own ambiance. We usually opt for the back bar. Service was good. I had a specialty martini which was good but missed the wow factor. Also got the chocolate souffle which was wonderful. Would definitely splurge on that again!

Really awesome! Went there for brunch last week and totally had our minds blown! I don’t eat Brussels Sprouts but I got the hash and I was absolutely impressed. Our server was super awesome, kept our drinks full, very polite made nice small talk. 100% going to go back, SOON. Thank you!

We were visiting from Asheville and came upon this wonderful gem. Lunch was delicious; quiche was delicious as were the croissant sandwich and glazed tofu and the service was excellent. We had to try desserts as well and they were wonderful. The crème brûlée and the flourless cake were exceptional. We will be back!

Nestled within the elegant Carnegie Hotel, Wellington's Restaurant is a true culinary gem that brings Southern-inspired cuisine to life with a modern twist. This upscale dining destination offers an inviting atmosphere, complete with dim lighting and terrace seating that sets the stage for memorable meals. Guests can indulge in hearty breakfast options like fluffy pancakes or innovative dishes such as an English Muffin Croque Madame.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here while away on business. Such a great experience! Our service was fantastic! The food and wine were perfect! We couldn’t have had a better experience. If you’re in the Johnson City area, you have to give Wellington’s a try!

Plus- atmosphere is great, our server was really nice, wine & cocktail was good, mushrooms were awesome! Cons- quality of food didn’t match the price tag. 4 oz filet $28, asked for medium rare but more rare came out medium and was so small and pitiful looking I couldn’t believe it was $28! Husband had the 8 oz filet and it was cooked properly. The quality of the meat was not that of a $28 & $40 steak. When they brought the second steak it was cooked a perfect rare plus. We also had the deviled eggs & wedge salad both were just okay in my opinion. Cesar dressing was strangely twangy, Benton’s bacon on eggs was overcooked and overpowering. Overall our opinion is we would not go back because the quality of service and food did not match that of a $150 bill (before tip). If a steak comes out overcooked at that price tag and I had to wait at least 20 mins for new steak to come out then I’d expect something to be offered, like a fresh side, a glass of wine or a dessert, but nothing was offered except a sorry, same thing I would have gotten at Texas road house.

While visiting the area was wanting a steak, was local for local not your chain restaurants. Found this place on google had mixed reviews but gave it ago. Wife and I both ordered Filet, I had fries she had sweet potatoes. I gave them a 4 for several reason. Steak came out almost well done and we ordered medium, server never did a table check until we where nearly done eating, the manager comped our meals which we appreciated but the manager on duty never came out to address the issue. Just hard to give 5 stars, when I am paying $50 per steak we get this kind of service. Although we will say even though steak was over cooked it still had good flavor and the sides were really good. If I am ever back in the area again I will give them another shot

Overall 5 STAR DINING EXPERIENCE!! Our party of five celebrated a milestone birthday at " Wellington's " recently. " Alicia" and " Heather " ; who are part of the Events Team there could not have been more helpful, professional or wonderful. The ambience offered at " Wellington's " provided the perfect atmosphere for our small gathering. The fireplace and room appointments all make for a very special surrounding , both inviting and memorable. Our server " Emily " was exceptional! Her knowledge, professionalism and attentiveness to our table was superb! She was attentive, without being persistent. The food selections we had were incredible! The " Reconstructed Wellington " is something that words cannot adequately describe. All one can do is highly recommend it to others to experience for themselves. No one will be disappointed with it. The Salmon equally was very good. The appetizers, especially the Deviled Eggs, were absolutely delicious. The only ( and I mean Only) criticism our party had was with the salads. For some reason they just fell short of measuring up to Everything else we selected. Kudos to " Wellington's" Staff, Chef, and Management, for a well run, wonderful Restaurant. I hope they realize how fortunate they are to have " Heather, Emily and Alicia " on their team. All are Very Good at making the guest feel welcome, appreciated and satisfied. A +++++++ To anyone who has Not Yet treated themselves to a Dining Experience at " Wellington's " do yourselves a favor and try it soon. You will NOT be disappointed.

Service was great! Disappointed in getting a $60 dry aged NY strip steak that tasted like it has no seasoning on it. Plus the sides were just warm and not hot. The restaurant was not busy so there should be no excuse. Seemed like the staff hyped up the chef's desserts rather than the main dishes. If I go to a place called wellingtons, I want a great main dish. Probably won't come back because i think it's overpriced for the quality of food you get.

My husband and I had a fantastic dinner for my birthday. This restaurant in Johnson City has a majestic yet romantic look and feel. It is so beautiful! Our dinner was amazing, everything we ordered was very, very good. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of everything on the menu, and she helped me pick a drink to go with my dinner. I would definitely return!

The deconstructed Wellington was excellent. My fillet was prepared perfectly The dessert was outstanding. The atmosphere was very nice. With exceptional decor. Our waitress (Alicia) was superb! Many times in upscale restaurants I find servers to be too stuffy. She was outstanding! Very professional and yet friendly and witty at the same time. I would definitely recommend this fine experience to anyone.

Greg's Pizza in Johnson City has been a local favorite for 50 years, known for its cheesy pies, spaghetti, and sandwiches. The pizzeria takes pride in using fresh ingredients and mounds of gourmet cheese to create each made-to-order pizza with their own scratch-made dough and special sauce recipe. Customers appreciate the quality ingredients used and the generous portion sizes, making it worth the occasional splurge. Despite being a bit pricey, Greg's Pizza is consistent in both taste and pricing.
Hey this a good pizza joint we drove from churchill tn 35 to get pizza and the wings where just awesome not over spicy just hot and delicious thanks for being awesome
Wolfman L — Google review
This is the second time unfortunately that we’ve got a pizza to doesn’t look or taste great from this location. I didn’t ask for a refund or to be replaced as I live 35 minutes away and wasn’t going to drive back for it to be remade considering I had already worked a 12 day. Not sure what has changed but something has in fact . I’ve included some pictures of how burnt the bottom of the pizza was and the top. I’m 45 and have always ranted to everyone about how great Greg’s Pizza was in the past . Not sure that I will return again as my mother always said fool me once shame on you , fool me twice shame on me !
Secret S — Google review
The pizzas used to be good. They have decreased the size of the boxes and pizzas several times in the last few years while raising prices. A large pizza is now smaller than a small pizza used to be. Way overpriced at $25! The pizza we got this week was the worst yet. The crust was 2 mm thick throughout most of the pizza. This is beyond thin crust. The quality of toppings has also decreased. The pizza has also been getting greasier if it’s not burnt to a crisp. We have decided that we much prefer the chain pizzas or even frozen pizzas to Greg’s.
Andrew C — Google review
Tried Greg’s Pizza and learned the hard way that the Volcano Pizza lives up to its name. Super hot, so handle with care! After ordering and paying, we were told it’d be a 30-minute wait, which turned into over 50 minutes in the lobby for one pizza. One woman behind the counter seemed irritated and wasn’t wearing a hat or hairnet, which wasn’t great since her hair was hanging over the toppings. Another guy grabbed a bin of garlic sauces out of the fridge when we got there, and then left it sitting out the entire rest of the time. Pizza was okay, but the experience was disappointing.
Hannah P — Google review
So disappointed. I’ve eaten at Greg’s for 30 years. The food has always been delicious. This spaghetti didn’t taste at all like the others. It had zero seasoning and the noodles were way overcooked. Called it in, was told 25 minutes ,I waited 45. $30 for crap. Lost a good customer.

Now i spent 12 years in Chicago so ..... well lets say ive yet to have a pie as good as the top pie's in the Windy City. Gregs is my go to pizza joint in Johnson city. The Ingredients, sauce and Cheese are all premium. That does mean a premium price however, and not a lot of selections for house made pizza combos. I have as of yet to try any of the sandwiches and the deserts are a rip off. Cystomer service is okay not great but definitely not poor.
Moses D — Google review
I am just appalled by the behavior of the cooks here. The night crew absolutely does not care whatsoever about quality or customer service. My wife picked up a pizza tonight and all the workers were using foul language towards each other. While she waited customers were calling into complain and getting up and walking out due to excessive wait times. I really like this place but anything ordered after 5 pm you’re taking a chance. The night crew is really making this place go down hill.
Joseph S — Google review
Update 6/10/25: We decided to give them one more chance today and I'm glad we did. My only complaint would be that she put a little too much sauce on our pizzas, other than that they were perfect Used to be the best pizza you could get but the last 2 times I've ordered it's been burnt, and it didn't have the extra cheese they charged me for. When I called she told me she could give me a discount for the next time I order one, even though I just paid $50 for this one that we can't eat.

Maple Street Biscuit Company is a casual cafe in Johnson City, TN, offering a modern twist on comfort food for breakfast and lunch. Known for their flaky buttermilk biscuits and Southern sides, this cozy joint provides upscale Southern breakfast/brunch without breaking the bank. The menu features creative ordering with a question of the month for customers to personalize their experience.
This is where you want to come for breakfast! Notice all the other places have 5.0 reviews and all stock photos. Dead give away they are fake, but this place has patron posted pictures and backs it up with a fantastic selection of fresh coffee and scratch made fresh biscuit combinations. The service was super fast and friendly. There was plenty of seating, and the portions were filling. We will definitely be back for more!

I assume they didn't have enough staff because I got greeted with a "hold on", then proceeded to be ignored for five minutes, which I understand if the restaurant was slammed. It wasn't. Nonetheless, the service was lacking. I love that they have fresh squeezed OJ & it would have been a more elevated experience if it wasn't filled with seeds. The breakfast sandwich + drink .+ a side of avocado was $17. I should have selected my order better. All that to say, the food is yummy & fresh. Maybe today was just an off day & I can try them again with a more budget friendly order. 🥸

This place invites curiosity. Food - balanced in flavor. Atmosphere, sure it was busy for a Sunday morning, but it wasn't overwhelming. I think my favorite part of breakfast was the checkout question of what job you'd be worst at. So you can observe folks as they go get their order, and see what they think would be their worst job. Fun people watching joint 😂

Wonderful little eatery. No table service, you order at the counter where they ask you your favorite karaoke song. This is how they're going to tell you your order is ready - they don't call your name; they call your song. The biscuit and gravy was well done - moist biscuit and flavorful gravy. Not the standard cream gravy, but a modified and more flavorful one. The same is true with the discs of hash browns which have also been 'notched up' with the addition of herbs. Staff are friendly and the place is inviting and clean. Recommended.

Finally got to come back and savor their wonderful breakfast and delicious coffee. Place your order at the front counter. They will ask you to answer the question of the month. Your answer is how they call out that your order is ready. Classic Biscuit Bundle: smashbrowns, egg, and cheese biscuit and drip coffee is included. * If your sandwich is too dry or you like to eat your biscuit by itself, ask for some jam. It may cost a little extra but soooo worth it. Plenty of seating with various sizes of tables and chair height in their rectangular dining area. You will still find me at the window table looking out at the trees behind the parking lot.

The food here was amazing but in the last several months it has went far down hill. They were bought out by Cracker Barrel and they made them stop making the gravy from scratch. Now its a terrible pouch gravy that is Grey in color. All of their great sauces and dips and now just fast food quality. I have eaten here for about 3 years, but never again.

Went here for a date night and so glad we did! We started off on the 3rd floor roof top and had excellent drinks before the rain came. Had reservations at Courses (2nd floor) and was amazed at the quality of the food and the presentation was on point. Service was a 10! Had the Medium Plate Bruschetta that honestly was one of best appetizers I’ve had in a long time. Fresh ingredients that just went so well together. I also had the Chicken and Tomato Bechamel with pasta, highly recommend, and we ended with the Peach Crumble, just order it, you will not be disappointed. All in all great experience and we will be back.

Stopped in for lunch. They were just a couple weeks into their Saturday Brunch and working out some wrinkles. We ate on the rooftop, which is very nice. The lounge on the first floor and the restaurant on the second looked very classy. We found the menu to be limited and both decided to go with the burger and fries and a brown ale. The large burger with bacon and an egg was too much and a bit greasy. The beer was flat and disappointing. They have only been open since April so there is good potential.

Courses (second floor) was exceptional! The lemon ricotta small plate was one of the best appetizers I have ever had! We also got the tuna small plate and it was fresh and perfectly presented. We then had the mussels and pork chop to share and were stuffed! Our server was amazing with the timing of placing orders so that we had a next course on time. We will be back!!

I stopped in to check out this new brewery/restaurant/rooftop craft cocktail bar, when they first opened, in October of 2020. The taproom features modern, elegant design and a welcoming vibe from a staff that is very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. As someone who spends a lot of time in Asheville, I find most of the local breweries to be quite underwhelming, so I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised by Watauga's brews. During my visit, I had the opportunity to visit with and learn more about Watauga's brewmaster. We dished on the differences between whole cone and t-90 pelletized hops; he also mentioned that his most recent batch is better than what's currently on tap. Speaking of said beers currently on tap, I highly recommend the Hopical NE IPA. Without a doubt, it's the best IPA I've had, from a local brewery, in JC and compares very favorably to the best hoppy libations you'll find in the 828. Watauga's head brewer is Ted Catron. One of the first beers to influence him was Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale, and he developed a refined, sophisticated palate for brews while residing on the West Coast. He began his initial experiments in brewing at his home laboratory prior to attending the Brewing and Distillery Center in Knoxville, TN. While brewing beers in his driveway, the vision for what became Watauga brewing, was percolating in Ted's mind. Said vision was to feature a wide range of IPAs brewed in several different styles. Furthermore, he envisioned a space in which you would encounter a new style/combination of hops or style of IPA upon each visit. With the launch of Watauga Brewing Company, his vision came to fruition. I once told Ted that his beer compared well vis-à-vis the best brews in Asheville; he replied, "I don't compare myself to other breweries. I compete with myself." Ted's passion, fastidious attention to detail, and artistry are apparent in the high quality artisanal creations that you find on tap here. While this establishment is aspiring towards an upscale vibe and ambiance, it's currently being held back by inconsistent, average customer service. I've now visited Watauga more than thirty times, and I've only experienced exceptional customer service on a few occasions. This is probably due to the challenge of finding high quality employees, as turnover seems to be rather high in the few months they've been open. Hopefully, the service will level up, in the coming months, making this a must visit, 5-star restaurant/brewery. If I were rating this establishment solely on the quality of beer on offering, I would give Watauga five stars. Currently, there isn't another brewery in JC that comes close to the quality you find on offer here. Over the years, things have changed, as the head brewer and one of the founders of Watauga left in July 2023, so I can no longer vouch for the quality of beer on tap. Ted Catron, the aforementioned head brewer/founder, entered beer festivals - such as Thirsty Orange - for years under the name of Watauga Brewing, prior to this establishment opening. In fact, one of his creations won the coveted People's Choice award in 2019. Ergo, this place will never be the same without him dialing in flavorful IPAs and artisanal ales on the regular. Watauga is now on their second head brewer since Ted's departure, and the quality of the beers on offer has diminished dramatically. They also recently replaced the giant chalkboards, which displayed beautiful, handwritten lists of the beers on tap, with boring digital displays. Are you intentionally attempting to kill the vibe? These colorful chalkboards were very photogenic and a great form of organic marketing, as they displayed beautifully on IG, Tik Tok, Yelp, or, within the most social of networks, your personal Messages. Watauga had the opportunity of offering world class craft beer and fine dining in a region with a dearth of both. With inconsistent service, an unusually high turnover of staff at all levels, and the departure of the original founding brewmaster, they've fallen far short of this aspirational goal.

Watauga Brewing Company is an awesome space to visit! Whether you’re coming for casual dining, celebrating a special event, or just grabbing drinks with friends this is the spot for it all. The brewpub always has a great beer selection and fun for all. The second floor is immaculate and great for the fine dining experience. It’s awesome getting to watch the great kitchen staff work while enjoying a nice meal. And can’t forget about the amazing rooftop bar. The view of the city is gorgeous up there year around. The staff in all three floors are super friendly, talented, and very knowledgeable of the menu and drink selection.

Wow!! What a wonderful find! The drinks and food were incredible!!! This brewing/restaraunt has 3 seperate floors, the rooftop was certainly a special experience. Casual and comfortable outdoor seating, as well as many high and low top tables. They have a rooftop bar offering cocktails/beer and food. We ordered some Pina Coladas that were made with fresh fruits. The menu seasonally changes, so be sure to check their website. For appetizers, we ordered the Brussels (amazing!!) The Gulf Shrimp (also amazing) For dinner, we ordered the Grilled Chicken with Ginger and Turmeric Glaze and Broccolini (which was incredible) The Smoked Salmon with Spicy Peach and Jalepeno Glaze and it was delicious as well as the Teds Fish & Chips and the Brewers Burger which were both also quite tasty. Beautiful views of Johnson City that were accompanied by beautiful plants they have growing on the railings with misters and plenty of rotary fans. The drinks were SO delicious. 21+ up and the bartenders were so top notch. I will always be sure to stop by this Brewery when visiting again. Do not miss out out on this place!

Best pals location in northeast Tennessee! Drive thru workers are very nice every time I have ever gone to this location! Can’t say the same for some of the other locations. The pals burgers are the best fast food burgers you can get especially for the price. The architecture of the building is essentially entire menu. Creates an absolutely groundbreaking atmosphere! 5/5!!!

First time. Ordering was very fast and simple. They keep a tight menu. Got a double with cheese and seasoned fries. Out quick and very hot! HUGE burger!Tastes fantastic, far better than I was expecting! The price is reasonable tho not cheap and the food is actually worth it! Try this place, I came wake to go back next time I'm near one! Best burger for the money, gotta spend a lot more to beat this thing. 9/10.

What a local gem! Fries were crispy and flavorful - like McDonald’s fries but with a special seasoning added. No ketchup needed. Also tried the sauce-burger and it was oozing a flavorful tomato based sauce that was deliciously tangy. My total was just $5 and change. Drive thru was amazingly fast. A must-stop in East Tennessee!

Employees were very nice and had a good attitude but the food wasn't the best. We ordered two big pals a Jr pal and a LG Frenchie Fry. Our burgers tasted like the salt shaker was dropped on them and our fries were pretty disappointing not quite full and they were not very fresh. I only live just a few mins away and can understand that they may get cool but not ice cold and soggy.

Oh, my gawd! The burger I had was one of the best burgers I have had in a long time from a fast food restaurant! I was not disappointed at all. The meat was seasoned well and those patties were a good size. The double Big Pal just puts the poor pathetic Big Mac and Whopper to shame! It will fill you up! If you have a big appetite that is the way to go but if you don't you should go the regular Big Pal route. The Frenchie fries were awesome. The seasoned salt is a nice touch. The only issue I had was that the lady forgot my straw for my large Peachie Tea! I ran back to the window and she gave me one with no issues. And yes, the tea was good! Overall good experience at Pal's! I will be eating there again when I am back in the Tri-Cities area! And another thing, why aren't they everywhere?!?!? They really should think about expanding into other areas and states. I think a Pal's would do well no matter the city or town! Just saying! 😁😁😁

I am a regular at Austin Springs and always enjoy my visits. Always very clean and professional. Today I may or may not have proposed marriage to my nail technician. THE BEST pedicure I have ever had. She was amazing, all I could think about during the pedicure is how much I didn’t want it to end. If you want a beautiful finished product and feel amazing during…ask for Tonya. She is officially my new favorite tech! EDIT TO REVIEW: I just had my second manicure with Felicia. She is so professional and can slay a natural nail look! They look amazing! I so relaxed during and after. Hands down best manicurist in Johnson City. You all will not be disappointed if you get either of these ladies!

The atmosphere and comfort of the spa were excellent—very relaxing and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and did a great job explaining the available services, which I appreciated. However, the massage experience was disappointing. The therapist informed me upfront that she might not be able to provide a deep tissue massage due to an injury, which I respected. Unfortunately, the massage that followed didn’t feel even like a light massage—it lacked pressure and effectiveness. For the premium price charged, I expected a higher quality service. I understand that injuries happen, but if a therapist is unable to perform a core service, it should be addressed in the booking process or reflected in the pricing.
John T — Google review
All of the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. Unfortunately, though, the massage I received didn’t help my pain or level of relaxation at all. I expected a high quality massage from a therapist trained at a reputable school. This therapist (Stephanie) caused me more pain and also talked during the session. The quality you receive depends on who you get.
Julie F — Google review
If I could leave a zero I would. What a waste of time. I literally thought about stopping the massage several times. My therapist Tiffany must have been fresh out of school. She had no idea what she was doing. She was grinding on my back with her elbow and had cold hands. She used zero pressure. Just bad!!!!!!!! The manger MariAnn seemed annoyed. I am from out of town and would not waste one penny or breath on this place EVER again.

**Disappointing Experience** I scheduled a massage for a Friday and specifically requested a female therapist. Upon arrival, a male therapist approached me, and I let him know I had booked with Audrey. He left and later returned to inform me that the schedule had been changed. I explained that I would not be comfortable with this arrangement. The therapist was professional and apologized, even though the mix-up wasn’t his fault. Unfortunately, the management and front desk staff did nothing to acknowledge or rectify the situation. After sitting in a robe and waiting, I ultimately decided to leave. When I walked out, the front desk staff avoided eye contact, offering no explanation or effort to make things right. This was an uncomfortable and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place based on their lack of communication and unwillingness to address concerns.

Worst experience I’ve ever had getting my hair done. Kimberly acted so unhappy to be there and made me feel like a burden. I was so upset. This was the first time getting pampered in years due to being a caretaker for my parents. She may have said one sentence in the whole 5 hours I was there. She made it very clear she did not want to engage. I walked in and out with the same hair color and was charged $285. Kimberly, if you’re going to represent a salon in a hotel that requires to be hospitable, please learn on engaging and communicating with guests. So disappointed. You never know what people are going through, it doesn't rake much to pretend to be a human and engage especially if it’s your job. 0/10. So disappointed. I sobbed the whole way home, hair looked awful for the money I was charged.

Kurt Cobain just rolled over in his grave because I just reached Nirvana. This is hands down the best pedicure in the Tri-Cities, and believe me, I’ve been on a cross-county marathon of pedicures trying to find the right place closest to me. Keep in mind that the Spa Pedicure will run you about $20 more than the average around here, but it is worth it! You certainly get what you pay for. I had Peggy as my pedicure tech, and she was awesome! The spa environment is very relaxing and much better than the typical cattle charge you normally have in the nail salons around here. All in all, I’m on board! (You’re welcome for the free feet pics.)

Park
Jacob's Nature Park offers a variety of enjoyable amenities, including opportunities for observing wildlife, exploring the surroundings, and embarking on hikes. The trails within the park are relatively short and straightforward. For instance, the 0.6 mile Minga Path Loop can be completed in approximately 16 minutes, while the slightly longer 0.9 mile Turtle Ridge Trail typically takes no more than half an hour to traverse. These paths wind through wooded areas and feature picturesque bridges spanning running water creeks.
This is an awesome park. Moderate hikes for adults (complete with placards that name all the trees) and easier trails to bring the little ones. They even have a pavilion to eat lunch at if you go to the rear parking lot. Love this place!
Dark O — Google review
Very nice quiet walk along a stream. Definitely recommend. There is also a trail that goes up through the woods and loops back down to the trail along the stream and back to the parking lot.
Kyle T — Google review
This a great walking trail along the creek. Loop trail and little bridges that were easy and informative for the children to learn along the way. We read about little Jacob and thought how wonderful and special he must have been. So Loved 🥰 Thank you for sharing this magical place. My daughter also had the opportunity to help clear out some of the non-native species with her classmates last year. Beautiful 🐿🐦🦎🐢🦋🌼🌺🏵😘🫠

This park is definitely a must see, it's great beauty that's inside the city limits. *WARNING* The water is not 100% clean and NEVER get in or drink from any water here. The parking lot is small but you can park at the church about 30 yards down the street. The trail systems are clean, clear, and marked well. Beautiful wild flowers are found throughout the trail. There's plenty of benches to stop and rest, along with bridges for easy access. One bridge is a bit dangerous so if you've got kids I'd recommend carefully helping them across.
Gaige S — Google review
I stopped at this nice little park in the evening during my stay in Johnson City. Lots of different birds, insects, and flowers. The creek looked clean and beautiful. Several benches for sitting throughout the trails.
Andrew G — Google review
Set of short trails though the woods. Very little hiking areas, and there are a few bridges to go across a running water creek. Beautiful scenery, Jacob's park has an impactful story behind it. Worth the visit, longest trail took about 43 minutes walking.
Aaron T — Google review
My son and I really enjoyed the nature trail. The trails are clearly marked, easy to navigate through. The trails had breathtaking scenery.

Great trails! A short, easy loop trail AND one steeper trail that climbs up the hill. Some trees tagged with type/species. Beautiful sections of trail along Sinking Creek.

Blue's Brews Co. is a charming spot that offers a wide range of food and drink options, including vegan choices such as house-made syrups and oat, coconut, and soy milk. The cafe also proudly serves pastries from Lazy Lady Baking Company, known for their gluten-free and vegan treats. The ambiance at Blue's is a delightful mix of industrial vibes with natural touches, featuring wooden shelves adorned with lush green plants. Guests can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere accompanied by soft background music.
The coffee is very good and the interior is relaxed and inviting. I ordered a flight from the coffee drink menu. Each one was unique and delicious. This cafe also has beer available. Plenty of seating, big comfy sofa and chairs. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are hundreds of books to read and local crafts/art for sale.

I’ve been here twice already this week and definitely plan to come back! The atmosphere is so awesome and cozy, both of my coffees have been delicious. This time I ordered the bagel with cinnamon sugar and it was the perfect sweet treat. Last time I will admit me and a friend shared the charcuterie and I feel like it was a little overpriced for what was given and compared to others I’ve had in the past, but no complaints in the taste. Staff are friendly and give me good recommendations. I love to look around at their used book selection and I can always find something to add to my tbr. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a cute cozy coffee shop in downtown JC!
Carina H — Google review
Great atmosphere, polite service. We got a hot mocha that was ok, but not great, and an iced salted sunshine, which was very good. The chocolate chip ginger cookie was also good. A bit pricey but if you’re looking for decent coffee close to the highway it’s not a bad choice.
Maura S — Google review
Fantastic spot for a variety of draft beers, coffee, books, and snacks. Like a mix of hip coffee shop, small book store, and brew pub. If you’re looking for loud and crazy this ain’t it. But this is a cool vibe for a more mellow experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Blues Brews is a true gem in Johnson City! Lindsey is so kind and hardworking, and her care shows in every detail. The beautiful plants make the space feel like a little downtown oasis 🌿✨ And don’t miss the Hermoine—it’s hands down the best drink! 🪄☕️

This is always the place I bring friends to visit. The vibes are always immaculate, the drinks and food are SO good, and the staff is extremely kind and caring. It's easily my favorite place in Johnson City by far.

I’ve been here several times, and try to make a stop every time I’m through Johnson City! Had one of the best coffees of my life this past summer: Iced White Peach White Mocha Latte. I thought it sounded radically odd - but the barista assured me it was really delicious… And it sure was! Super cool spot, with really nice people!

I’ve been a Blue’s fan since they were still rocking the airstream and you’ll never convince me there’s a better coffeeshop in the area. The staff are wonderful, the space is cozy and great for studying or hanging with friends, and the coffee is top notch. The food options are so good and I cannot say enough good things about them! Hands down I recommend this shop to everyone I meet and will continue to do so! Huzzah for Blue’s Brews!!!

Founded by local entrepreneurs with backgrounds in biology, chemistry, and business, this venue provides an exceptional experience for visitors. Guests can enjoy hand-crafted small batch spirits from Tennessee Hills Distillery as well as brewed craft beer. It's not the brewery...that part was ok. Go for the Smokestillery, food truck that serves there! That young guy is absolutely an incredible chef!!! Awesome bbq and sauce and huge portions! Going back just for him! GO!! you won't be disappointed

Excellent experience! We visited the Brewstillery, the new distillery and the Salt House locations. The drinks were all delicious. Highly recommend the Dead Pecker rum, the Oat Whiskey (tastes like an oatmeal cream pie), and the lemon drop! Free tastings and is on the Whiskey tour, so ask for the poker chip and code.

Had great service and fantastic food truck. Bartender was EXCELLENT, she was very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely will return!
Jim K — Google review
This is an actual genuine working brewery. And their second location is an actual genuine working distillery . They definitely have the best of both worlds. The flavors and their mixologist will come up with whatever you describe that you would like to taste 😋 They have a food truck in the parking lot. I had the ribeye Burger!🍔 It was delivered to me at the bar during my beer flight. Oh and by the way your beer flight can be added onto if you can't choose four which wasn't easy for me 🤭 Who could ask for anything more. 😋 A fun place! Lots of cleverness and personality here. 😃The staff and the locals. Everyone is so friendly and they really know how to zero in on a stranger😎 and drag you into their party! 😃🙌🏻🤭
Michael S — Google review
Not the best of the breweries in the area. The bartender also wasn’t very knowledgeable. She couldn’t really answer questions I had and then someone next to me asked if they had any porters and she asked “is that a beer?” Beer was just ok. I’ve had the spirits at the Jonesborough location and would go back there but with better breweries in the area, don’t really need to return here.

Great brewery. Tried the seltzer and Rugged IPA and both were delicious. The atmosphere was great. The bar tender was incredibly friendly and helpful. Met some of the locals and they were equally friendly and helpful. Highly recommend going!

After enjoying the Speedway Classic, I thought I'd stop in at Tennessee Hills. It was around 5:00 PM on Sunday. Walked up to the bar to try to sample some of Tennessee Hills product. The guy tending the bar at the time never acknowledged my presence. It wasn't because he was being overrun with customers. Four people were there. I was VERY disappointed. I WILL NOT BE BACK AT THE LOCATION IN BRISTOL UNLESS I HEAR THAT SOMETHING CHANGES.

The Generalist is a unique retail collective located in downtown Johnson City. With a lively mall-like atmosphere, it offers a wide selection of products from approximately 100 different stores, including popular brands like Belk, GameStop, Spencer Gifts, and Francescas. It is considered a gem to the downtown area and has gained praise for its fun and friendly owners and workers. The store showcases the work of local artists and provides an array of diverse merchandise.
Absolutely love this place!! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great selection of gift items and local artists features. Pricing is on the higher end however that is to be expected for a private business vs corporate America. I loved seeing how busy the place was, felt like being in a proper little general store. Like in a Hallmark movie! The owners definitely know what they are doing here and I will definitely be returning! They have the cutest stuff!!
Jessica — Google review
I did love to shop here and look around, a cool store and many interesting and unique things. Be careful asking to use the bathroom if you look a certain way or have certain tattoos because one lady in particular there will treat you differently and say no among other things but if you look "normal" then feel free to ask and be able to use the bathroom. Just saying and stating the facts because I have never been treated like that in other businesses and places downtown, otherwise the store is usually a great place to go to and look around and shop depending on who's working there and things of that nature, this is all true and a honest review.
Buddy K — Google review
Lora and The Generalist are top notch! I needed something special to gift to some overseas guests. I’m from out of town too, so didn’t know where to start. Luckily, I found this store and Lora helped me curate an assortment from an awesome selection of local items. This experience has been a great reminder that local, small businesses are the best!

Visited this store for the first time yesterday morning, did not know there was a festival going on. Almost did not go in because it was so busy but I am glad I did! Very cool items, and the nicest staff! Both girls were attentive to customers and seemed genuinely happy to do it! Don’t see that much these days. Will be back!

I appreciate that The Generalist is pet friendly! I browse more than I buy, but they never seem to mind. Be careful if taking children into the store, there is artwork that contains nudity.

One of my favorite pockets of sunshine in the Tri Cities! ☀️ This place has become such a safe and magical space for our community. It is filled with incredible art from so many talented local individuals, and it is also THE place to grab a yummy treat when you’re on the go! The staff are all so kind and helpful, and you definitely feel like you’re at home when you’re in the store. The events are always a great time, and if you’re ever needing a place to host an event, their back room is PERFECT! The owners have really created such a cool corner in Johnson City, and if you haven’t been there yet, go check it out!!

Yes yes yes!! This is a GEM to the downtown area. The owners and workers are so fun and kind. Tons of local artists and variety being featured. Yes things may be "pricier" than what chronic amazon shoppers are used to, but your getting to support keeping the diversity and culture of the area going. I walked by this place one night on the way to eat at the German place close buy. Obviously it was closed at the time but I saw three items I had to buy. A stuffed raccoon, (I love raccoons) and two candles with Betty White and Dolly Parton on the glass. I finally made it back about two weeks later and bought the items I wanted. The employee was very friendly and I just loved the shop overall. Small but full of neat items. I love it.

Went in the day after Christmas midmorning and the mall was crazy. The lady working was attentive and cheerful. She allowed me to return an item I was given as a gift without my receipt. She even called the other store for me to see if they had a specific shirt in my size. I am now a fan of this local company and it's incredibly comfortable t-shirts!

Sarah (aka Melissa, lol) works at Boomtown in JC and is seriously the sweetest! She is so personable and truly cares for everyone who walks in the store. Sarah is always willing to help me find exactly what I am looking for. She even offers free “therapy” sessions if you are in need of some therapy shopping! I couldn't be more pleased with my experience at Nelson Fine Arts and Frames! They did a fantastic job framing two of my photos. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the utmost friendliness, making me feel instantly welcomed. The value they offer is exceptional; their prices are very reasonable considering the high-quality work they deliver. They helped me choose the perfect frames that enhanced my photos beautifully, offering insightful suggestions that I wouldn’t have thought of on my own. Their communication throughout the process was top-notch, keeping me informed at every step and ensuring I was satisfied with the final product. Sweet A — Google review
Great shop for custom frames, but Nelson Fine Art and Frames recently helped me replace the glass in several broken windows, and saved me a considerable amount of money. I have a 100 year old house with old-school triple track storm windows, some of which were missing their glass panels or the glass had broken. I called three local window companies about replacing the glass, and they all gave me similar quotes. At a friend's suggestion I also called Nelson Fine Art, and within an hour I was at the shop having new panes custom cut. Measuring, cutting, and reinstalling the glass panes took less than 20 minutes and it cost me *10%* of what the local window companies were going to charge. So while they're known for their great framing, they also apply their excellent customer service, meticulous approach, and beyond-fair pricing to other jobs as well. Highly recommend.
Melissa W — Google review
I have had them frame some family pictures and diplomas. They provided excellent service and customer care. The work was beyond what I imagined and I now have some precious memories preserved forever. Their attention to details was above and beyond. I highly recommend for those special mementos, photos, accomplishments that you want framed.
Kristen S — Google review
I love getting art framed here! It's so neat to walk in to the "artists workshop" and get a feel for the process....rather than walking up to a counter at some big shop and they send it off for the job. They are so "hands on" at Nelsons and they take so much pride in what they do. It shows. They always work with my budget and I usually just give them a few colors I like and let them have some creative freedom from there. You can be as involved in the selection as you prefer. I don't even consider any other place for framing. Not only are they great at their craft but they are loyal to this town, to downtown, and have really hung in there over many years!

I came into Robin’s On Roan wanting to get my husband’s comic book art work framed and matted . Meredith helped me decide on the frame and was able to bring my vision to life . She even added a splatter effect into the mat and it turned out wonderful. I appreciate the work she put into the piece. Beyond excited to bring more things in for her to reframe . Thank you so much .

First time using Robin’s on Roan. Meredith was great to work with. She had excellent suggestions for frames for our paintings. The framing was completed much more quickly than I expected and is very reasonably priced for the topnotch quality. The gallery has a lot of nice artwork and pottery for sale also.

This shop is great. The work the did was fabulous. Fixed an older print we were attached too and it exceeded our expectations. Had an airplane picture from my work matted and framed, my ideas along with their ideas and execution made it came out incredible. Well done Meredith……perfect!!

I found my deceased husband’s 6th grade graduation speech while cleaning out drawers. It is a very special piece and Meredith did a wonderful job on it. I am so happy, that I just took 4 more vintage pieces to be reframed. I can’t wait to see how they turn out. So many beautiful art pieces in the shop too. Great place to buy unique gifts.
Elizabeth C — Google review
My husband Jim and I brought in 6 items to be framed and were very impressed that Meredith took the time to go through each item and that she made several suggestions of complementing mats and frames for each picture. She took the time to listen to our preferences and made recommendations and suggestions. I think that all together we made some very nice selections. They had a great selection of very beautiful, decorative frames that are not the usual selections that you find at most frame shops. The ones we ended up picking will definitely make our art stand out and look even more special. We are looking forward to receiving our finished pieces and can't wait to hang them in our chosen spaces at home and at Jim's office. We really appreciated the time that was spent with us and helping us to make sure our pictures fit the spaces where we intend to hang them. We definitely will recommend Robin's On Roan to our friends and others for their custom framing needs. While we were there I also enjoyed looking at the items other artists had on display for sale. You could definitely find some nice and unique gifts at Robin's on Roan for someone that is hard to buy for or if you are needing something special to add to your decor.
