History Museums
Tillamook County Pioneer Museum is a captivating local history museum that delves into the rich heritage of Tillamook County, Oregon. Established in 1935 by the Tillamook County Pioneer Association, this museum boasts an extensive collection of over 55,000 artifacts and 20,000 photographs spanning from the pioneer era to modern times.
I took my mom in a wheelchair, which I don't advise: the museum sits in three levels, and the steps inside are steep, without an elevator. There is an accessible entrance on the back entrance, but it wasn't wiring when we visited. Otherwise! The exhibits are fantastic and they really care about preservation and facts. There was a visiting exhibit about the first black woman given a federal land grant in Oregon, which is the first time I've ever heard of her. I was very pleased with the extensive knowledge of the team running the museum. Excellent if you don't have any trouble with stairs. A MUST if you have the time.

This is a very good museum. With admission, that was $7.00 for adults, which we happily paid. Set in an old courthouse, each room has a theme from pioneer history, a massive taxidermy collection, and beeswax from a 1600s shipwreck plus so much more. At the front desk, you get a map, and the sweet lady gives you a little history, and you are on your way. Spanning 3 stories, it's a lot to look at. We spent about an hour and half just wandering around, taking it all in.
Katherine H — Google review
$7 for adults, $5 for seniors. We really enjoyed walking through the museum from the rooms set in their historical setting to a room full of military veterans uniforms. We liked that everything was well marked. A surprise to me was the huge second story natural history collection. I enjoyed that the displays weren't scary and would consider bringing animal loving small children who want to see a real one. I had a new appreciation for several of the animals and the time it took to put together the displays. Don't miss out on the basement from a Buick to a Bike to saddles and a forest service tower... there is a lot to see. Free easy parking on the street behind or on Laurel.

This place is a hidden treasure! 3 floors of awesomeness for the entire family. The staff was so kind and knowledgeable. We had adults, kids and a baby with stroller. The building itself has so much history and there's so much stuff you don't even know where to start. The kids got a fun treasure hunt to do and were so excited. The space was used very well with smooth transition. We planned to make this a quick stop but it ended up being the highlight of our day trip! This is definitely a MUST stop!
Sophie O — Google review
This place is so awesome! A beautiful curation, beautifully displayed! If you've been curious, do yourself a favor! They also have hummingbirds!
Sarah G — Google review
If you are in town this nearly 100 year old museum has much to offer. The taxidermy floor alone is very educational. The volunteer at the front desk is most informative about this gem.
Toni B — Google review
Full of interesting artifacts, pictures, and specimens. They have everything from early logging equipment to WWII weapons. The girl at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Definitely a must see place in Tillamook.
Holden P — Google review
Historical museums in small cities and small towns seem to often have a whole lot more of one type of exhibit (e.g. farm tools) than the other types. This is a nice museum that seemed to balance all the areas. They have Basement: old farm equipment, cars, fire fighting, logging, kitchen gadgets, musical instruments, and more Main floor: pioneer settlers and native people, and military 2nd floor: mostly taxidermy birds and animals, rocks & minerals, Victorian bedroom, and Abe Lincoln Their exhibit labels were short, but nearly everything had one. In January 2023 it was $5 seniors, $7 adults, and they had a discount for kids but I didn’t notice what it was.

Blue Heron French Cheese Company, located in Tillamook, is a family-run establishment that has been offering specialty cheeses for over 30 years. The charming cheese shop and deli, housed in a white barn, also feature gourmet foods, wines, and gifts. Visitors can enjoy a petting zoo with adorable animals outside. The French-themed cafe and wine tasting area provide a delightful experience.
This wasn't just any roadside stop; it was a delightful discovery filled with unique and high-quality local products. We were immediately drawn in by the inviting atmosphere and the array of interesting items on offer. We ended up buying some truly delicious mustard – it was so good, we brought it all the way back home to Georgia with us! It's been a wonderful reminder of our trip and has elevated every meal we've used it in.

Vantastic family friendly venue with great food, wine tasting, coffee bar, ice cream, cheese, gift shop, petting zoo and on-site dry camping. I stayed 2 nights having coffee and breakfast one day and wine-dinner the next. Great parking, level lots with room for any size rig. Thank you Blue Heron for allowing me to overnight!
BVan M — Google review
I had such a wonderful experience at this wine market and restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—every bite felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The atmosphere was perfect for a date: with fun indoor and outdoor areas that made it easy to relax and enjoy. Whether sipping wine inside or stepping out to the fresh air, the vibe was welcoming and charming. Sharing it all with My Love ❤️❤️‍🔥 made it even more special. This place is definitely one I’ll be coming back to, both for the incredible food and the cozy yet lively setting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a spot that’s both delicious and memorable!

No tour or anything like the Tillamook creamery. It is mostly a gift shop. A very large gift shop. They also have wine tasting, and you can order cheese tastings too at the deli. While the wine is labeled, would have been nice for the cheese to be labeled too. But it was all delicious. And we bought some Christmas gifts for relatives in the gift shop. The grounds are very beautiful as well. There’s a petting area with some lamas and goats.
Sean W — Google review
Fun place to stop when going thru Tillamook. Lots to see , my wife enjoyed the wine samples and the gift store.. I really enjoyed the old trucks parked around the property.

A wonderful place to visit whether you're just passing through or enjoying a vacation in the Tillamook area. They offer a petting zoo, a cafe, and a shop filled with a fantastic selection of treats, wine, cheese, and various goods. Additionally they offer overnight RV stays in their field via Harvest Host with a smooth check-in process, and you have the option to extend your stay. There's plenty of parking available.
Justin B — Google review
Everything is great about this place, it's a warm inviting location, with lots of cool and unique things and Foods to buy.... and of course delicious cheese options. I found lots of good stocking stuffers, and of course we bought cheese for the road. We were also their staying with our rv, and we love waking up on the farm. The donkey is always a favorite of my son, but my husband and I also like seeing all the animals.
Jeana B — Google review
This place is so endearing and cute with its little trinkets. The food was great, we went back for a second time to make sure we appreciated all it had to offer. Friendly staff. Cute animals!! Too bad we didn’t get a chance to sit outside in the cute patio area due to rain.

Specialty Museums
Latimer Quilt & Textile Center is a charming museum and arts center situated in Tillamook, just off the scenic Wilson River Loop Road. Housed in a meticulously preserved historic schoolhouse building, it features an impressive collection of antique and contemporary quilts dating back to the 19th century. The center collaborates with various guilds and groups to offer classes, workshops, and demonstrations by traditional rug hookers, spinners, weavers, quilters, and knitters.
It's so nice coming back here ever so often. They usually have people on the looms and doing artistic works, but not day. There was a room with beautiful artistic baskets, bags and more. I wasn't allowed to take photos of these objects, because they will be going on to a other exhibit coming up. You just need to go and see them. There are about four works that are exceptional. They took my breath away!
Bob M — Google review
Absolutely a must-see for crafters with sensory needs. Beautiful yarns and fabrics. And the most exquisite quilts and other handiworks. One quilt was pieced from the quilter's mother's dresses. I am so glad we stopped.
Gayle H — Google review
I have been a member at the Latimer Quilt and Textile Center for several decades. Years ago, my small quilt group used to do a week long sewing retreat to the Oregon Coast twice a year, and each visit included a day of visiting the Textile Center sometimes to linger and sew on our projects in the classroom and socialize with visitors to the Center, and sometimes to volunteer our help to sort and organize donations to the Center. Latimer always has some textile/fiber related exhibit going on in their gallery room. It might be quilts or woven tapestries, embroidery, or antique sewing implements. Currently, they have an exhibit of unique and unusual items made and embellished with vintage buttons. This coming March/April 2926, they will have a themed exhibit of member's fiber based artwork. The theme will be works based on Fairy and Folk Tales. I hope to have a small quilt made up for that exhibit. They have a marvelous collection of unique, hand-made items in their gift shop, along with quilting and knitting related mystery books by local author, Arlene Sachitano, for sale. I always find something interesting to buy there for myself or as a special gift for someone. They also sell used quilting and sewing/craft books for prices that can't be beat, even at a thrift store. The Center is well worth a visit.
Helene K — Google review
Amazing textile art on display for this open house. So many unique and wonderful items available to see and buy. I poured thru the basket of antique buttons and spent only .75 cents on a small ziploc full that I chose!
Maureen B — Google review
very cool historic society type place. staff was helpful and price was very reasonable. it is small but it has lots of cool stuff inside. I loved it that they had a loom you could actually try
Deppfan16 — Google review
Great quilt & textile museum! They have exhibitions on, teach classes / workshops, & most importantly, if you call a week or so in advance, they will do a bed turning for you. They take you into their quilt archive & will show you historic quilts with advance notice! Staff are friendly, dedicated, & the museum itself sells very beautiful things made by local textile artists. When we visited, there was an artist working in the loom room.
Ruth G — Google review
Went for my mom. If it was local I'd go to the classes.. my mom intends to donate some of her extensive book collection.
Melissa B — Google review
Every fiber artist LOVES the creative energy and nostalgic history of this living interactive exhibition; Including historic displays, & bi-monthly feature exhibit, there are real life textile artists gatherings, to list a few: .. Tuesday - Fiber Arts Group .. Thursday - Morning & Evening Knit Group .. Friday - Fabric Weavers & Rug Hookers If you are a fiber artist or textile enthusiast, you will not want to leave and you’ll be back over & over again to pick-up supplies or finished textile products. Considering this is a mostly volunteer run non-profit organization, the small (currently $4) entrance fee is well worth your value, or become a member and join the good work!

Nestled in the city it calls home, de Garde Brewing is a standout brewery on the Oregon Coast. Embracing regional microflora, their wild-fermented beers are influenced by the surrounding estuaries and Pacific environment. With a focus on historic methods and local experimentation, this brewery stands out for its refusal to use laboratory-cultured yeast in their beers.
A Wonderful Brewery. Delicious Beer. Friendly Staff. Awesome Owner. Kid Friendly back patio only. Large Selection of amazing beers on draft. Lots of bottles for both on site and To-go. Good Prices. They allow outside food. Delicious sandwiches options near by. Overall an amazing place to grab a delicious beer while maybe enjoying some tasty cheese ;)
Coach T — Google review
De Garde is one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into something rare — like a quiet little temple of fermentation tucked into coastal Oregon. No signage screaming at you, no pretension, just a deep sense that something special is happening behind those barrels and bottles. I had The Purple, and it stopped me in my tracks. It’s the kind of beer that makes you think harder about fruit, about acidity, about what “sour” can really be when it’s done with patience and purpose. Fancy, yes, but not in a way that tries too hard. Saissany, if that’s a word. (If it’s not, it should be. This beer earns its own vocabulary.) The whole vibe is chill but focused. You’re not here to slam pints. You’re here to taste, to pause, to recalibrate your palate. And honestly, it delivers. Every detail, from the glassware to the aging process, feels considered. If you know, you know. And if you don’t, come here and find out.
Christopher R — Google review
De Garde is my new favorite brewery. If you like sours or wild ales de Garde will not disappoint. All the beers we tried were very unique. They all had specific flavor profiles: sweet, tart, fruity, hoppy, funky. The description of the beers all lived up to their namesakes. Highly recommend stopping in. Definitely a place I'll be taking friends when they come to visit. Overall 9.3 out of 10.
Seth M — Google review
Im a big sour beer fan and cannot recommend this place enough, variety of unique styles, some very hard to find. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, and very good prices considering the work that goes into these. Not to be missed.
David J — Google review
Our friends have raved about this place the last two times I visited Oregon, and we were finally able to make it here today. We ordered octo, blackberry, bellini, and framboise. Our favorites were bellini and blackberry. We took the blackberry to go for our friend. Highly recommend bellini, or tasting a few before settling. They are slightly sour but right up my alley. Beautiful space.
CMB C — Google review
Great beer and cool location. Servers were knowledgeable about their beer and very friendly. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and while not a lot of food options there is a food cart pod a black away. Will be back soon for more great beer!

Sarah S — Google review
Always a joy to visit. I have gotten so much information and the amount of travel magazines and brochures is outstanding. I have been here several times looking for particular ideas for a trip. Being honest I love to get the new year's brochures and always the mile by mile magazine and just look at the pictures. Staff is always pleasant and willing to help you with whatever you are looking for as to information about hotels, restaurants and attractions. The layout of the building is attractive and well lighted and can see the ocean. My late mother and I were thru here in 2008 and even back then I was stopping at the chamber of commerce in all the towns we went and picked up all I could and mailed back to Wisconsin. When I got home it was fun to look thru and relive my trip. When I moved to Newport last year one of my first stops was in this building and picked up what I wanted and needed. To me the most important item I wanted was the mile by mile. I even keep extras of brochures and the mile by mile magazine to give out to tourists to help them. When traveling within the state I always look for the local information at the check in area. I also have mentioned to the staff at the motel/hotel that they should have the local information and travel brochures up front and always give a local map upon check in. Highly recommend the chamber of commerce in all the states and Newport's is one of the better ones.
Deborah C — Google review
We had stopped at two gas stations and a drug store looking to buy an Oregon State map. No one had one, so we stopped here and picked one up for free. Grabbed a few tourist brochures while I was there, too. The staff was super helpful and friendly.

Tillamook Coliseum Theater, located at 310 Main Ave, has undergone a recent renovation to restore its 1920s charm. The remodel includes original early 20th-century light shades and art deco-style tile in the lobby. A vintage neon sign has been refurbished, adding to the historic ambiance. Additionally, the concession selection has been expanded to include locally made food, beer, and wine. This theater offers first-run flicks as well as classic favorites for special occasions.
Visiting from Portland.Great theater. Movie Quality was really good for the age of the theater. Especially when the tickets are under $10 for a nighttime show. Plus just the experience of being in a small town theater that is a 100 years old was awesome. Lastly some of best service. It felt more like being a guest in a home. Got to know the staff little bit tonight and they are Amazing ! Thank You and don't lose that Quality.

A real true and blue old school movie theater. It was a great experience.
Andrew R — Google review
Always like a small theater especially one that is revived from probably oblivion. The Coliseum is a sweet 250 ish seat one screen charger. Plenty of space between aisles, old but reasonably comfortable seats with rigid handles between. I am never comfortable in theater seats in general but these were no worse than modern moviehouses. The staff were fun and competent, already a step above the giant multiscreen locations usually staffed by smartphone preoccupied staff. the memorabilia in the lobby was interesting. Though parking is on Street in the neighborhood, we ended up parking out front! The sound system was better than expected and the screen itself seemed pristine. Entry price was superbly below big city tickets which was welcome. After the movie we had a nice conversation with a staff member who provided some historical context to the movie house. All in a great night. THX.

Pacific Restaurant is a charming New American dining spot with a retro 1960s ambiance that offers delectable local seafood. The menu features an array of mouthwatering dishes, including perfectly prepared calamari and delightful sandwiches for those who prefer non-seafood options. The restaurant's spacious and attractive setting, along with excellent service, makes it a top choice in Tillamook. Guests can savor generous portions of salmon and seafood linguine while enjoying friendly and attentive service.
Incredible food, their French Onion soup was one of the most amazing renditions of French onion I have ever eaten. The atmosphere is a mix of two different restaurants in one space. A lively café, and a relaxed but high quality restaurant vibe with no walls to divide them. I will return for more, the next time im in town.

We stopped here during our vacation not knowing anything about the restaurant. First impression was this was an upscale restaurant. Walking in the smell of weed was prominent. We were seated right away and they took our order in a reasonable amount of time. The food arrived quickly and was decent. The service stopped when the food arrived. We were never visited by the waitress, never got refills, and had to wait forever for our check. The place was not busy at the time
Phillip P — Google review
Went for happy hour. There are reviews talking about 5 dollar appetizers and drinks. They are older and the prices have gone up. There was a live band and they were excellent, including a bass player on a six string bass! The fish and chips was literally one fish, but it tasted amazing. Wife had the fruit salad and said it was also amazing. Two beers, two Moscow mules. 50 bucks plus tips. They have a couple of younger servers who can’t serve alcohol. So it took a long time to get drinks. Like 20 minutes. We were on vacation time, so it didn’t matter, but thought it was worth a mention. The server was super nice and apologetic, so nothing against her.
Sean W — Google review
Came in for breakfast and had to get our own water. Oh that’s just a start. We sat and ordered it took about 15 to 20 minutes before getting our food and we were the only people in the restaurant. After getting our food was cold. Not one person came by to see how things were. Had to ask for everything including silverware and salt and pepper. We waited on our self’s more then they did. Very bad service. For a fancy place that give you cloth napkins it was the worst i have ever had. Eggs were cooked to done.
Lorena T — Google review
If I could give them 6 stars I would. We tried a bunch of places this week and most are forgettable. This place though - wow - wish we would have discovered this gem earlier in the week. Great venue with live music and the food just ridiculous. Easily the best crab cakes I’ve had - ever. Salmon was amazing. My son had the truffles pork and gigli pasta that was stick to your bones good. Then the desert... we may have to come back to the coast just for the food.
Steve B — Google review
So wanted to love this place. But the minute we walked in it reeked of Marijuana . Yuk! A group of people that came in just before us also also walked out for the same reason. Based on some of the other reviews I read it sounds like this is a chronic problem for this restaurant. I think an INTERVENTION is in order!

This place was an excellent option to stop at. Kid friendly, SALAD BAR!, very reasonably priced, pellet ice!!, and the friendliest staff. Their wings were delish, breakfast sandwich was great and the kid loved his nuggets! Def will be back!

Shockingly surprised! It’s off the beaten path and definitely not where you would expect a restaurant to be, but what a great find! Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and the food was great. We had the clam chowder bread bowl and the prime rib dip. The prime rib dip was tender with a slight smokey flavor. The chowder was nice and thick with a good flavor. We will be back for sure.

This is a pretty good place for a burger or country fried steak. We stopped by on the way to the coast. There were plenty of people sitting outdoors, but I'm not sure how they enjoyed their food with the strong smell of manure. Inside, however, it smelled of burgers and fries. Yay!

Seriously great food (we had fish tacos and a burger) and the best margaritas around (try the flight- you won't be disappointed)! They have a nice selection of grab and go items and a respectable salad bar too. Very friendly service, restaurant was clean, nice bathrooms.

Always quick service here. Great food and GREAT salad bar, best one in town!

We happened upon this place looking for an adventurous bite to eat and O man!!! The food is amazing!!!! The atmosphere is very unique and makes for a really cool experience. The best beef I've ever had, and the local Rock fish tacos were out of this world! Not to mention the appetizer salsa was probably also the best I've ever had. I highly recommend this establishment. If ever in the area again will most definitely return!!!

Indistrial area but good food. Decent beer but they only have 3 of their own brews on tap (brown ale was yummy). I had the french dip to eat. Meat was tasty and tender but the dip was super salty and tastes like a mix. Because I am on a bike tour it was pretty disappointing that they don't offer wifi for guests!

Main Street Pizza Co is a popular stop for travelers looking for delicious pizza and friendly service. Visitors rave about the generous toppings, tasty crust, and reasonable prices. The white sauce option is particularly praised, and the restaurant also offers a well-stocked salad bar and a selection of craft beers. While some note that the interior can be chilly, many are willing to overlook this for the great food and accommodating staff.
We've been here once before on a trip and the pizza was delicious! We had wanted to stop back in ever since and finally got the chance, still lives up to our expectations. We get a chicken, garlic, mushroom, black olive and bacon pizza with white sauce and it's fantastic!
Lily — Google review
The food was very good. Only.issue we had was my son and I ate our big salad bowl and our main meal and my wifes pizza order was forgotten. We were pretty much done eating and I had to ask about her pizza. When it finally arrived, we just took it back to the hotel. She was disappointed that she wasn't able to eat with us.
S S — Google review
Not many options in town. This one came in clutch and exceeded my expectations. I was happy about the salad bar option. The salad bar had all fresh and variety of items. Including a nice refreshing jello salad. We hoped for a place with alcohol after a long day with the kids traveling lol. This had wonderful beer and wine options. And lastly the pizza was amazing it also turned Out cheaper than if we went elsewhere and tried to feed 5 people. Also got to add the workers there were super friendly!

This place is amazing!!! The food, the atmosphere and most of all the wonderful people that work there. We stopped in for a quick snack and fell in love with this place. We visit 4 or 5 times a year and I think we will be making it for food each time we visit now! Thanks to the amazing staff one more time! We had fun!!!

Delicious pizza piled high with toppings, this place is a good pick-up if you need a meal after a long day at the beach. The wait times weren't too long, and the food traveled very well. The garlic cheesey bread is a great side, the pizza is amazing, and the prices are fairly affordable.

Great pizza place and super close by to all the cool beach towns. Loved the Photo Booth they have there as well! It was fun to get photos of my friend and I in it.

The pizza is pretty solid and good pricing. However, my gf dosent like the crust because she says its too hard. However again, I like the crust personally and she is just particular about crust. The service was great, but the arcade was absolutely busted. It was nice but when half of your attraction dosent work I think the atmosphere is off. I would say solid, and way better than anything in Garabaldi (down with the crab!) - The Critic

Hoquarton Park is part of the city's expansive park system, along with Tillamook Riverwalk and Goodspeed Park. It provides a beautiful setting for outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and picnicking. While there are no designated picnic tables, visitors can still enjoy a leisurely meal in the park. However, it's worth noting that some visitors have mentioned sitting on concrete blocks to eat lunch due to the lack of picnic facilities.
Beautiful spot. No picnic tables though. I sat on a concrete block and ate lunch with the yellowjackets.

It’s a nice spot for a quick walk if you happen to be in the area, but it doesn’t seem worth going out of your way to visit. The absence of picnic tables and benches felt a bit odd, though I did see a few people spreading blankets on the grass and relaxing there.

I visited the farm store for the first time the other week, normally I go to the feed store. It was awesome! They had all the same things as the feed store plus tons more and good prices as well. I was excited that they also sell some dairy product from the creamery in the back, along with a bunch of snacks and drinks. Great selection of rain boots for kids too!

Skatepark
Tillamook Skatepark is a convenient stopover near the Tillamook County Pioneer Museum and the Hoquarton Interpretive Trail. It offers a decent play structure with an excellent merry-go-round, although it can be damp at times. The park has public restrooms, benches for picnics, and a skate area that's popular among kids. There are also beautiful gardens along the walkways and a nice walk leading to another park.
Really nice park in Tillamook. Stopped by with kids for restroom break and kids got to spend well over an hour enjoying it. Real restrooms are closed but instead honey buckets are provided. There are some picnic tables. Fun playground for kids and skate park. Very limited parking lot
Artem M — Google review
Lots of adult or later aged teens. I realize they need stuff to do but it makes it hard when they move the tables and vape or smoke around my 5 year old. The park itself is ok. The merry-go-round was recently taken out so it's not very exciting to play anymore.
L M — Google review
Decent park, best one in Tillamook open to the public! The playgrounds at the schools are better, but for little kids pre-school this is the best it gets. Decent play structure with an *excellent* merry go round! It's usually quite damp in this location, so bring a towel to wipe off the slides. Fairly high rate of homeless or car campers (there's a public restroom and the park is largely out of sight), forewarned. But the park itself is mostly clean and felt safe.
Robby B — Google review
Great park, play ground, benches for picnic or get togethers, public restrooms, room to run, fields to use, skate area is awesome, kids pointed out some cool graffiti last couple times we went, would be cool to see more stuff. Beautiful gardening along walkways, Really nice walk that takes you over a bridge and into downtown to another park/slough(river like water). Only bummer is no dogs allowed. But really. Great park
Amanda R — Google review
Love that Tillamook finally has a park! I'd love to see it expand further but it's an awesome start!
Daylan S — Google review
Very cute park my 3 boys ALWAYS enjoy it...nice size skate area and a great playground lots to do...THE downfall and it's not the parks fault... a lot of bums digging through the trash, at least one every time we are here, and people for some reason think this is the spot for their shady "business". So if u can get past that it's a really cute park...maybe more police drive bys would help.
Yekaterina M — Google review
Actually from what I can tell it's a good skate park, but I noticed that of the 20 or so kids there, not one was wearing a mask. SO glad they have a place to enjoy, and SO SO glad that we don't have much covid19 here in our little town. But....I think masks are the "new normal" (there were also several younger kids playing on nearby playground, no social distancing or masks)
Kathey — Google review

Dog park
Tillamook Ironworks Bark Park is a great place for dog owners to let their furry friends run and play off-leash. The park features a fenced area with plenty of space for dogs to roam, as well as amenities such as poop bags, benches, and a water bucket for thirsty pups. While the park lacks trees and walking trails for humans, it's well-maintained and offers a clean and friendly environment for socializing dogs.
This is an entirely fenced dog park with a couple benches and multiple waste disposal containers. The upkeep of the park has markedly improved over the past year or so and it is now well-maintained with mulch. My dogs love it here! There are no restrooms for humans at this location.
Kristin W — Google review
It's a big open dog park that is about 100 ft long by about 50 ft wide and it's mostly grass it's got some bare spots and it didn't have any people at it when we were there it was just us and our two dogs but it's completely fenced in and it was pretty nice to have the place to ourselves so the dogs could run around and burn off some energy.
Ignorance_Is C — Google review
Great dog park. Room for them to run. It is off leash inside the fence. Here's hoping maybe in the future they can build out. But for now great spot to take your pups to play. There is poo bags. And if you bring boots in winter/fall. Then there is a back trail you can take from the parking lot. Benches for relaxing. And someone in the community set up a water bucket for peppers to quench their thirst. It's close to town. Yet out of the way so if doggos run off. They won't go straight into traffic. Good pull off for people driving thru to let the fur kids stretch their legs.
Amanda R — Google review
Absolutely amazing dog park really quiet and kinda hidden big fenced in yard plenty of space for multiple dogs to run when I say big its almost a football field infenced its definitely recommend and nice people willing to work with you and your pups needs
Sean ( — Google review
It's very nice. But it's too small for my best friend. He loves to chase balls and there's no room to run. Really best for smaller dies that are naturally gentle or well trained. PS: The sunset after "Chunk" got tired of fetching the ball, we hung around and enjoyed the view from the YMCA. WOW!
Elizabeth P — Google review
Small, but room to throw a ball. No seperate sections for different size dogs. Didn't see a faucet for water, so bring your own. Did have poop bags and a trash can.
Carlton D — Google review
Decent sized dog park without a lot of traffic going by. Plenty of parking. No water available so bring your own.
Christina C — Google review
We really like this dog park. Thanks for the city making it happen! Great area, very well-maintained. Everyone I visit with there is excited about it too. It is kept clean by dog owners. People are also very thoughtful, if they have a dog toy or prop they no longer share they offer to other dog owners there. People think to share dog items, put out extra poop bags and keep it clean. We will keep coming and recommend to others!

La Tea Da Tea Room is a charming and elegant place with a calming atmosphere, making it perfect for a relaxing experience. The high tea offered is divine, featuring delightful options like Chinese rose petal tea and an assortment of small sandwiches. The establishment also includes a small shop with household and tea items. While it may be on the pricey side, it's worth considering for special occasions or to treat someone special.
I love this place. They have great prices for a tea house and the owners made me feel very very welcome there. I brought home FIVE bags of tea because they're just so good. The tea service itself was exceptional and delicious. If you're just stopping by, you have to pick up a Gurgle Pot! (A pitcher shaped like a fish)

Kevin J — Google review
I had tea at La Tea Da for the first time today and was quite pleased with the experience. I was seated by a young man who brought out my choice of tea and a small scoop of Sorbet to start, from there I had a lovely vegetable and rice soup along with a wide variety of small sandwiches, Each sandwich had great flavor, and it was enjoyable to have such a variety put in front of me! It was a very good portion of food and I ended up taking some home with me! Besides a beautiful tea room, they have an adorable gift shop with very reasonably priced decor, jewelry and tea items. At 12:00 today the tea room was full with more people walking in. I would highly recommend that anyone who wants a taste of gentility and a beautiful setting should come to La Tea Da! Bring your friend, your daughter, your mother, this place is absolutely sweet!
Jennifer W — Google review
Don't be deceived by the unassuming outside of this little treasure. This tea house is fancy, elegant, and fun. Perhaps not for an everyday visit, make sure you call ahead to give them a chance to prepare for you. It's pricey, but worth it as a way to celebrate a special occasion or treat a lady that you love. Part of it is a small shop with household and tea items, the other half is the restaurant part. You can just get a pot of tea or you can get the whole experience with scones, sandwiches, and incredible dessert bites. Staff was friendly and personable.
R Y — Google review
Super cute place. I've never been to a tea house before but I love it. It was quiet and there is a gift shop on one side. I brought a 3 year old that I nanny and she loves to go there with her mom. They have a kids plate and hot coco which is great.

Sewage treatment plant next door makes the "park" smell exactly like you would expect it to smell... had to leave because I felt sick! The round-trip fare is affordable at $20, providing a beautiful ride with friendly and considerate drivers. This service has become widely popular and is especially appreciated by those who do not enjoy driving. The company also accommodates individuals with disabilities when arranging rides.
In May of 2013 I happily found out about the Wave bus, which I took from Portland to Manzanita. For $20 I went round-trip from the city to the coast and back the next day. It was a beautiful ride on a friendly small bus with cautious, considerate and friendly drivers. The Wave service provided one of my best memories of Oregon. I'm reviewing the trail only. The trailhead parking is at the entrance of road down to the lighthouse. We hiked in April and it was quite muddy, and moderately steep, but the nice little beach cove at the end was worth it. We are average shaped middle-aged. We did the hike down in 20 minutes and the hike back in a little over 30 minutes. There is no restroom at trailhead, but there is one down by the lighthouse parking.

Our family loved this museum! Lots of planes to explore. Highlights included walking through the TWA plane segment from the 70s, the F14, and being able to go inside the planes, especially for my kids. We also loved the plane outside. Very cool place to visit.
Brittany G — Google review
I’m not sure words can describe how awe-inspiring this museum is! Driving up you are immediately hit with the sheer size of the hangar itself. Walking inside only reaffirms how small you are compared to the structure. There is an incredible variety of equipment inside the hanger. There are model cockpits you can sit in to feel exactly what a pilot feels. Not all of it is military aircraft either, with a few throwbacks to passenger planes. Beyond the aircraft there are also some old tractors and locomotives that were once used at the hanger. The videos and VR experiences also serve to immerse you in the history of the hanger. Finally there are some great models and recreations of historical events. There is even a great telling of women in the holocaust. I am incredibly happy we stopped in and will definitely be back if we are in the area again!
Jonathan C — Google review
Using a WWII Era blimp hanger for an air museum is brilliant. All aircraft are inside but one. There are side exhibits, mostly centered on WWII. One of the Tomcats used in Top Gun is here. Several aircraft you can view the inside of the cockpits. Admission price is reasonable and the is a snack bar and gift shop. I easily spent more than two hours here.
Shelly O — Google review
We had SO much fun! Spent over two hours looking at all the exhibits. There was also a little play place which the toddler loved. 10/10, we loved it!

Tillamook Air Museum was absolutely fabulous! My entire family loved it! Even my son who doesn't like anything! Lol. I would highly suggest seeing this place. They have added way more plane cockpits and stuff. They had models depicting every battle of WW2. Very cool wood carvings. You get to sit in the cockpit of .any planes.
Jeremy M — Google review
What a hidden Gem!!!! Out of everything there they had to look at. The coolest thing is something they need to focus more on. The building itself. The sheer size of it is astounding. It’s hard to imagine it holding blimps. Which I hope one day they can find a way to highlight that better. The cars and planes etc are what ever. You can see those at any museum. The building itself was just majestic. I wish we could walk all around the outside and see it better. They have a great simulator area for kids to sit in. Even a tots baby area too. I loved the hand made models of ships and subs and the battle scenes for WWII. Our kid loved it. Right at eye level but in a format he could understand and see. This place doesn’t show up as an attraction. Which is sad because it’s so close to the crowded creamery near by. This place is by far a hidden wonder.
J R — Google review
Tillamook Air Museum, Where History Smells Like Engine Oil and Bravery Listen, if you ever wanted to walk straight into a love letter to the USAAF, this is it. Hangar B isn’t just big, it’s biblical. You could park a small grocery store in there and still have room for the P-38s to stretch their wings. The air smells like cedar, oil, and American grit. I swear, you can almost hear the echoes of flight crews swapping tall tales. The staff are friendly, the planes are stunning, and you’ll leave feeling a little taller just for standing in the same space those heroes once did. Bring comfy shoes, a camera, and maybe tissues, it’s that good. Oh, and a jacket, it's wood, it's old, it doesn't get very warm.
Lynnette C — Google review
There is an education in this building. Its huge and a great walk through of navel ships and the war in the Pacific. You see aircraft and how they were used in the film making industry, the process of making Thrust from a turbine engine is amusing. Look for that if you go. An F18 Tomcat loke the one used in the movie Top Gun is on display

Cape Lookout State Park is an oceanfront park located around 8 miles south of Netarts. The park offers a beach, campground, and hiking trails that lead to a peaceful viewpoint on a spit. The two-mile trail in the park is moderately easy but often muddy. Due to road maintenance work, the North Trail to Cape Lookout is currently closed with no information about when it will reopen; however, visitors can use the South Trail to reach Cape Lookout Point.
Wide sandy beach that was not crowded. Campground was well maintained with clean bathrooms. We had a yurt and is a great experience without the extra effort of pitching tents and dealing with the weather. The place gets windy so get a good jacket.

The hike to the very tip is absolutely exhilarating – you're surrounded by lush forest one moment, then suddenly emerge to sweeping, unobstructed views of endless blue and whitecaps. Keep an eye out for whales! The sheer scale of the coastline from up there is incredible. It’s a powerful, awe-inspiring experience that makes you feel tiny in the best possible way. Come for the views, stay for the profound sense of wild beauty. Don't miss it!

If you're looking for a private campsite this park has many more than I've ever seen! The beach is a short walk and its beautiful! I've stayed here about five times and highly recommend it! The only reason I gave it four, instead of five stars is due to the bathroom. Again, not the worst I've seen by any means but four stars it is, and it wouldn't stop me from returning. A great campground!

Truly a treasure, whether you are visiting for the day or to camp. Plenty of paid parking upon arrival. There were park workers cleaning up the landscaping while we were there, as well as some volunteers. Almost completely direct access from the parking lot to the beach. There are many access points, restrooms onsite, and trails to walk. The beach itself is pretty spacious and so while there may be a lot of people, they aren't too close together. Many folks were using the bbq's to grill with charcoal and so it smelled additionally fantastic.

My favorite camping/hiking spot. You have a beautiful beach alongside lush forests. The campground is well maintained and you have your choice of beach-side spots or spots in a more forested area. Yurts and cabins also are available. So quiet at night and there were no shenanigans the day and night I camped. The staff checking folks in was super friendly!
S S — Google review
This place is absolutely beautiful, clean and when 10:00 pm hits it’s so quiet you only hear the beach and the frogs even with a full campground. The beach is about a 2 minute walk , sunsets are incredible, firewood and ice is available at the ranger station. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Highly recommend this place to everyone looking for a great beach getaway whether it’s by yourself, or with friends/familiy.Hoping to come back next year.

Beautiful beach one of my favorites.. This beach has bathrooms and easier access to the beach than most

Cape Lookout trail never disappoints! We had a beautiful sunny and calm day that can’t be beat! The trail has lots of roots and lots of mud, which is the most challenging part!

Not a bad walk to see the fall. Very pretty cool trees with moss all over. Didn't bring my phone to the falls i used my good camera so we I get to home base ill see if I can add some of the falls

A very easy trail for a secluded hike to a beautiful waterfall. This hike is accessible all year, and I can see why. It is a very well-made trail that is only slightly muddy even when raining out. It's worth the quarter mile hike. Please be advised that the road into the trail head is rather narrow. Do not bring a trailer into the trail parking area. Another plus is that there are two picnic tables next to the creek. There is also one small bathroom vault.
Adam S — Google review
Great hike for kids! So magical and fun to climb the old wood trees and get splashed by the waterfall. Was a nice break from the beach.
Nicola H — Google review
Our stop at Munson Creek Falls was a spur of the moment detour and we are so glad we went! We saw the sign on our way to Tillamook from Lincoln City and decided to stop on our way back down. Lots of details can be found on the Oregon State Parks website, but if I remember correctly, its one of the newest state parks, opening in 2020. The parking lot is only a few miles down a dirt road (good condition) and there is one picnic table and a porto-potty. I think any vehicle (regular ride heighth) would make it in and out just fine. The trees there are all so tall. It's hard to keep your eyes on the ground with the huge, moss covered trees towering overhead! We saw mushrooms, flowers, trees, lots of moss, giant clover, a banana slug… there are tons of places to take pictures along the  way! Even right next to the parking lot! The trail follows the creek up to the viewpoint for the falls. it's such a beautiful place! The hike to the viewpoint for the falls is half a mile in and out. Easy, there is only one very short section that may be a challenge for those with mobility issues. Other than that, in my opinion, this is a "hike” for anyone. Definately family friendly! And free, which along the coast, can be hard to find! If you have an extra 45 minutes (or more) l’d reccomend a stop at this lovely little spot! You won't regret it!
Frances S — Google review
Beautiful short easy scenic trail! Lush green with water along the way and before you know it you can see the waterfall! A sight to behold!
Mamie Z — Google review
We are in the area visiting, from Easter Oregon. Just a day around Lincoln City. Drove by and saw the signs so we went up to the trail. Such an easy hike and absolutely beautiful! So worth it!
BethanyJean — Google review
Ok. The falls are nice and the delicious woods make me want to stay forever, but my beef is that this is a state park. Much of the road is dirt and gravel. Ok cool, this is the woods, but after your car is subjected to underbelly scrapes and plumes of dust, you start thinking..."is this the right way?" And after a couple more miles of this, you think "this is NOT the right way". Google Maps actually took me up a worse road and I thought I would get stuck. Signage practically doesn't exist, low riders risk getting stuck and quite frankly, this teeny tiny sad trail isn't worth it. The walk, not a hike, is about 1/8 mile, and you can't get close to the falls unless you disobey park barriers. Don't do this please, it's so wrong for the ecosystem they are trying to preserve. However, more could be done if this is to be considered a "park". I wouldn't call it that. It's pretty, but dude, not worth it in the grand scheme of things.
Rachael — Google review
I don't a single person that has been here, but after this visit I hope that changes. It was stunning! A short, easy hike to a waterfall that is significantly tall than I expected.

This is an excellent short day-hike experience. $5 suggested donation, no parking fee. Main building is a museum (museum is good for kids) along with a very nice viewing bridge and a fire-watch tower (you can climb the stairs to the top of the tower). Short trail on the building-side of the river, two trails immediately on the far-side of the bridge (the trail on the left has a waterfall a few miles in - the one on the right has picnic tables if you can cross a small-ish stream). Trails can be very wet and narrow, so plan accordingly. No cell service, no restaurant on-site (gift-shop only). Some parts of the trails were closed due to active-logging. This will be a good morning-hike visit, but only for one day (there's not much reason to re-visit).
Adam C — Google review
Stopped here in between a few waterfalls. There is no service at all, so be sure to download your maps if you don't know where you are going!! There is a nice little gift shop here, but it does not make sense why they wouldn't have drinks or snacks for sale there. One of my favorite things about this forest center, though, was the fact that there is so much information on Tillamook here and a cool little watchtower showing its history that you were able to go into.
Tony A — Google review
I had great experience learning about the Tillamook Forest with a nice hike on the Wilson River. The Center has exhibits on early pioneer life, logging in the forest, the Tillamook Burn, a suspension bridge, a fire lookout tower, and much more. It was interesting to learn the salvage operations, and replanting of the forest after the Tillamook Burn. You will find a number of hiking trails that take you through the forest and along the Wilson River. Located about 22 miles from Tillamook on Highway 6. A nice place to learn the history of the Tillamook Forest, climb a fire lookout tower, and hike in a forest.
Ed L — Google review
Such an incredible forest center and worth the stop when you are traveling on highway six. It is great for people of all ages and very accessible for both the very young and the very old. So much information you could easily spend a full day just at the visitor center learning all about the history of the forest and fire watching as well as beautiful hikes along the river and crossing the beautiful viewing bridge. There is also a fabulous watchtower that you can climb and get the experience of what it was like to work in a watchtower. We had a great time at this event center and only wish we had planned a bit more in advance to spend more time there. It would be nice to have a lunch or a beverage stop and also be prepared for no Cell service. Really great staff a very sweet little shop and good way finding signage to navigate the center. Highly recommend!

Add this stop- visit here!! We added this stop on a trip from Portland to the coast and we are glad we did! It was really educational. The gift shop was cute and affordable. The bathrooms were clean. There was a tower the climb a great bridge and many were having a great time floating on the river. The staff were great here too. So welcome and gave plenty of info. We met some Campers there- we were in and out but if we were camping , we would Certainly put this high on our list!!
J_ — Google review
Such a fun and informative forestry center! We stopped by on the way to the coast. There is a museum full of historical items and information. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. There is a tower outside you can walk up and there is a beautiful bridge that leads to trails and the river. Don't forget to stop in the gift shop. We bought a cute stuffed banana slug and the employee sang a funny song about banana slugs!
Beth B — Google review
Sadly we visited on a Tuesday when the centre was closed, but the toilets were still open, and the river was beautiful.
Georgia H — Google review
This is a great place with lots of forest history facts lots of pictures and artifacts from back in the day. The trails and exhibits are well done, and the fire tower is approximately 50 Ft tall and set up like it would be for fire watchers. If you like Oregon forest history then this should very worth your visit..

This is a great walking area - it’s mainly a gravel path with different small trails through high grasses that lead up and over a hill and to the beach. From the path to the beach is about a 5 minute walk. The main path is gravel so bring good shoes! There is a small fee to park and port-o-potties at the parking lot.
Julia — Google review
The east side of the peninsula is closed to the public "under construction" with private property signs . Other than that it was a quiet peaceful stroll along the shore. Didn't anyone else on the beach.

What a gem of a spot to camp by both the ocean and the bay! Brought a wagon for some glamp backpacking. Saw bioluminescent plankton in the ocean sands at night, and lots of interesting beach combing during the day.
Melinda T — Google review
What an amazing place! Beautiful sunny day in October. Nearly a secluded beach. Only saw a couple people in the few hours we were there. Several different paths to follow. The Bay on one side, the ocean on the other: Bayocean. Really cool history too.
Greg B — Google review
Was able to see the lighthouse with full stroller access. The octopus tree is interesting.
Kevin P — Google review
Gorgeous beach. Great view of the Pacific Ocean! I went there with a friend one afternoon. There was limited parking and people on the beach. We saw parts of jellyfish had washed up, so be careful with children or going barefoot. The views of the cliffs and fog on both sides were amazing. Must see!
Andrew K — Google review
Good place to walk and fine shells. The dirt road that goes along the bay has a ton of birds around this time. Also great walk for dogs and dirt bikes. It was isolated and overall a great view for bird watching.
A A — Google review
Amazing park, said it once and I’ll forever say it. Trails for miles, secluded beach, parking, history. Absolutely beautiful place to spend the afternoon. Make sure to walk the trails to visit the old town of Bay Ocean, there are canisters with photos inside of what used to be. Folks are very respectful here, bring your mask with you as the trails can get tight when you pass by others. Not that it happens often with this park being so big but you know. Be sure to keep your phone or something on you, using my satellite map helped me get out or know which direction to head in when I was on the trails. It’s a little easy to get disoriented. There’s a vault toilet at the parking lot to be sure to use it as that’s all you got. No picnic tables or anything either so if you want to have a little lunch bring a blanket or feel free to set up in the parking lot. Looks like others do the same.

This charming collective gallery offers a stunning array of local art, all showcasing exceptional quality. The new owner has kept the spirit of the previous owners alive while adding her own warm touch. You can savor delicious coffee here—don't miss out on trying their unique chicory blend!
Great pit stop on the way to the coast? Incredible coffee "elixir," seriously one of the best lattes I've had in years. Sandy and her pup were welcoming, and the art was rad.

Stopped in randomly, and SO glad we did! The owner was beyond lovely and kind, and the beverage I got (moon mud) was so so yummy! Such a sweet place, plus I bought the cutest mug here! Definitely coming back :) they even gave us free snacks for the road for the rest of our drive! So welcoming and cozy.

Fantastic coffee with lots of diary alternatives! Lots of beautiful artworks! Awesome owner! Definitely one of the coolest places we visited in the area.

Stopped by this last weekend to grab some caffeine. The owner is super friendly and there is a ton of really cool art. The coffee is honestly really good as well, expertly pulled shots. This will be my new coffee stop when heading to the coast.

The Wild Moon Gallery is under new ownership! We loved the prior owners and the new owner has maintained the same lovely quality of the coffee shop and art gallery. She is kind spirited and lovely to talk with. It's a fun stop with absolutely delicious coffee if you're making your way out of Tillamook up Highway 6. If you've never had chicory coffee try it... it's amazing and she makes a great chicory and coffee brew!!

Stopped in here after a camping trip for espresso for the ride home. Jaimie Lou was so nice, friendly and welcoming that we ended up staying around talking for like 30min. Great coffee and conversation and we will be back to buy some of the wonderful pieces we saw in there. Really nice stop on the ride home!!

A MUST TO SEE! This collective gallery was incredible, I turned around and stopped to get a coffee and was amazed upon entering. The local art is ALL of exceptional quality in my opinion, the coffee was delicious, and the owner is such a kind person. Wild Moon is designed for relaxation and good conversation, reserve some time to spend here (I spent almost two hours and had to force myself to leave). All in all, I highly recommend stopping here and talking to Jaimie Lou. What an excellent addition to our modern fast paced world!
