Golden Ears Provincial Park, located near Maple Ridge, is a vast park offering various outdoor activities. It features Alouette Lake, where visitors can enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. The park also boasts extensive hiking trails suitable for all skill levels and three vehicle accessible campgrounds. With its proximity to Maple Ridge, the park is a popular destination for locals looking to spend the day outdoors.
Golden Ears Park, Maple Ridge Golden Ears Park is a true gem in Maple Ridge! The park offers an incredible variety of outdoor experiences, making it perfect for nature lovers. The trails are well-maintained, ranging from easy walks to more challenging hikes, with stunning views throughout. The highlight for me was the waterfall—absolutely breathtaking and worth the short hike to see it up close. Golden Ears Park offers two stunning waterfalls: the **Lower Waterfall** and the **Upper Waterfall**. The Lower Waterfall is easy to reach, with a short, scenic trail through the forest, making it perfect for families or casual hikers. The Upper Waterfall, accessible via a more challenging trail, is larger and more dramatic, rewarding hikers with breathtaking views. The park has a variety of trails for all skill levels. The **Lower Falls Trail** is great for beginners, while the **Upper Falls Trail** provides a more strenuous hike. With beautiful views of forests, ridges, and the lake, Golden Ears Park is a fantastic destination for hikers and nature lovers. For campers, the park has excellent facilities, with spacious, clean sites that are well-suited for both tent camping and RVs. The dog-friendly policy is fantastic, and my furry friend had a blast exploring the trails and even taking a dip in the lake. Speaking of the lake, the views are simply amazing. Whether you're kayaking, picnicking, or just relaxing by the water, the scenery is breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere is hard to beat. Highly recommend Golden Ears Park for anyone looking to enjoy nature, relax, and have a memorable outdoor experience!

Nice to visit here!!! But you definitely need to bring your own car here!!! 🚗🚙🚘🚖 (If you want to hike this mountain!!!) and please do not visit there till autumn - early summer!!! It is pretty snowy and cold in the top part of the mountain!!! (You can also die sir… if you disobey my advices and quotes..) (Because I experienced it…)

One of my favourite Park. This park is huge. They have a lot of entrances. Some on the left some on right. There are forest, river, big lake, small peace lake, mountains… in the park. Make sure come earlier as so many things to do and see. Enjoy the nature in Golden Ears.

Great place for a quick hike and great trails too! It is very beautiful place, quite occupied, family friendly and fun trails to the creek. It will take all about 3 hours to explore the trail to the creek and back, especially if you stopped here and there to admire views and side locations to sit. But be careful cause your phone signal will be off if you are at the north beach or go up the trail. You can find camping sites, bathrooms are well distributed,

BC at its finest, this is an amazing park. It’s got it all. From a pristine lake to waterfalls and hiking trails for all. I can’t say enough about this great park and definitely recommend coming here if you can. Lots has been written about this park, so skip the words and come to this place and experience nature at its finest.
Kirk D — Google review
Beautiful provincial park however it is extremely busy. During camping seasons you must buy a camping spot within the literal second the tickets go online or you are screwed. Not to mention you need day passes for certain days during the summer and winter which I find ridiculous. It is also an extremely busy park in general and you will have a hard time finding a nice secluded spot with no people unless you really hike. That being said this park is truly beautiful with amazing waterfalls and lakes with gorgeous surrounding by mountains and forests.

Golden Ears Park is a gem for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Nestled in the heart of British Columbia, this park offers stunning vistas, diverse trails, and a serene atmosphere. Whether you're into hiking, picnicking, or just soaking in the natural beauty, Golden Ears has something for everyone. The trails vary from easy walks to challenging hikes, all with breathtaking views of mountains and lakes. The park is well-maintained, with clean facilities and friendly staff. It’s a fantastic spot for families, groups, or solo adventurers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. 🌻 Highly recommended!

We camped at the Gold Creek campground the week after the long weekend. The park rangers are incredibly helpful, and they maintain the park beautifully. While we camped, I saw them clean the bathrooms 2-3 times a day, checking campsites to be sure there were no squatters, and enforcing the day pass rule so the park wasn’t over crowded. Overall it was a wonderful stay and beautiful weather.

The park features signed trails that lead visitors past bridges, waterfalls, and impressive sandstone cliffs. Families can embark on an educational journey by exploring the Bell-Irving fish hatchery to learn about stewardship and ecology. Super beautiful park. Picnic tables close to running streams and under tree cover or shade and some protection from rain. The trails and bridges are really nice with great views of the running streams and small falls.

Beautiful trail with water falls along with it. Awesome for evening or morning walks. Nice clean trails with proper guided signs. An absolutely awesome weekend gateway fun and relaxing place to be.

Beautiful, serene, greenery, river creek, trails, nature and just nature . Few kms away from the city of maple ridge is this quiet humans, dog on lease and horse friendly park. I love the shallow & crystal clear water of the creek that makes me desire to bath all day even though the water is chilled. Just the sound of passing water is so Rhythmic and soothing . Tall trees standing since 80’s are still strong and majestic. Parking and picnic tables are right next to the creek. Coal bonfire or bbq is allowed.

Great park featuring the outdoors. You are able to interact with nature in all its glory. Located in the east of Mapleridge it takes a bit of time to get here but is well worth the trip and you will not be disappointed with the trails and the beautiful scenery. There is parking and public washrooms. The creek has different levels of water throughout the year, but anytime you visit the running water is nice to listen to. There are some waterfalls. Some of the trails are creek side for close up views. This is a beautiful park and my wife and I definitely recommend coming here. There are different levels of hiking trails from easy to medium. Lot of different lengths of trails also.

Easy peaceful walk. Only a few sets of stairs. Small waterfall at the end over the bridge. About an hour return.

Good trail. Dog friendly. It has picnic spot and alot of tables available on site. The fall itself is ok, not bad, I am not sure if it is a fall or not. However for a creek, It is good. Good place for picnic with family, not so good for sight seeing.

The ACT Gallery showcases various exhibits including paintings, sculptures, photographs, and woven art. Lovely theater. I couldn't believe how good the sets were. Great production value. They had a nice little art gallery upstairs. I will put the ACT theater on my radar to check for future shows

As a photo booth vendor, I’ve had the pleasure of working an event at The ACT Arts Centre, and it was a great experience! The venue is beautiful, versatile, and perfectly suited for everything from weddings and galas to corporate events. The layout of the space is great for photo booths too — plenty of room, great lighting, and a lively atmosphere that guests always love. Highly recommend The ACT Arts Centre to anyone looking for a fantastic event venue in Maple Ridge Happy Pixel Photo Booths

The Act Arts Centre has such a beautiful theatre. Seats are comfortable, views are great from all seats and it is clean and well maintained. (Photos taken from the very back row of the lower level during a wonderful show called Relive The Music - 50's & 60's)

The ACT is an incredible resource for the community and culture hub for the region. We are lucky to have such a great facility and dedicated art council in Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows. The Act supports the arts through numerous scholarships and bursaries to local people and groups. The quality of work coming through the arts learning programs, theatre performances and gallery are top notch.

We went to see a CCR tribute band “Bad Moon Riders “ at the Act. Parking was easy as it was underground and free as it was the weekend. The stairwell was close by and led us right up to the lobby. Great evening in the theatre. The seats were comfortable and the theatre allowed drinks inside.

Went to see a concert put on by Fraser Valley wind ensemble, they were great and it was a memorial concert to celebrate the passing of the founder. The ACT arts centre decided to do renovations while the concert was on. Very disrespectful!!!! 😔

I can't speak for the in-house service and Staffing but I can only speak to the Staffing with regards to email discussions. 4 years ago I had correspondence with their management team about booking a space in the theater. Weed sorted out time to actually have a conversation and to meet up there was a final confirmation, and then nothing was provided to me. They just stopped responding there was no details given nothing at all. I have waited I think long enough to find out maybe if they're busy or not so they just couldn't get back to me except it's been 4 years and they slept responded. I took a look then to wonder if maybe Staffing had changed and that's why no one had taken over or someone didn't see the emails for a booking. Except the Staffing is all the same with the people I spoke to so unfortunately they're not reliable and actually making a booking. Maybe they have more than enough money to keep the business going, but what they don't have is respect to let people know.

It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful day trip or a fun family outing. The picnic areas are well-maintained, and there’s plenty of space to relax, swim, or even paddleboard. The lake has a calm, serene vibe and the views during sunset are magical. You can spot small boats, kayakers, and even families just enjoying the shoreline. Parking can get busy on weekends, so it’s best to arrive early. Definitely one of the best outdoor spots near Vancouver — highly recommend visiting if you love nature and water!

Alouette Lake: A Family-Friendly Gem in Golden Ears Provincial Park On Friday, August 22, 2025, my family and I enjoyed a wonderful day at Alouette Lake, nestled within Golden Ears Provincial Park, just an hour from Vancouver in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. This picturesque reservoir, surrounded by the stunning Coastal Mountains, offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and family-oriented amenities, making it an ideal destination for a day of relaxation and adventure. Important Reservation Information: Visitors planning to visit Alouette Lake on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays during the peak season (typically May to September) must secure a free day-use pass online through the BC Parks website. Reservations are mandatory, and without one, you may be turned away at the park entrance. We were fortunate to have an AM reservation and arrived well before noon, ensuring a smooth entry. Plan ahead to avoid disappointment, as these passes are essential for managing park capacity. The parking lot at the South Beach day-use area is spacious, with ample room to unload picnic supplies, paddleboards, and beach gear. The park features numerous picnic areas equipped with benches and BBQ attachments, perfect for family meals or group gatherings. Excitingly, Golden Ears Provincial Park is expanding its picnic facilities to accommodate even more visitors, enhancing the already welcoming setup. The beach itself, while more gravelly than sandy, is comfortable for walking, though water shoes are recommended for added comfort, especially for children. The designated swimming area, marked by a floating line, is safe and ideal for kids, with shallow, clear waters that warm up nicely in the summer sun. The water can be chilly, but our family found it refreshing for swimming and paddleboarding. We took our paddleboards across to an adjacent beach, which offered a quieter spot for swimming and exploring the shoreline’s natural beauty. For those interested in boating, Alouette Lake features a four-lane cement boat launch at the south end, though it’s a fair distance from the main beach area. It’s a popular spot for kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding, with rentals available at the South Beach day-use area from late June to Labour Day, weather permitting. The lake’s 24-mile shoreline also offers boat-accessible backcountry camping for those seeking a more adventurous experience. Beyond the beach, Alouette Lake is a gateway to Golden Ears Provincial Park’s extensive offerings. The Spirea Universal Access Trail, a wheelchair-accessible path, provides stunning views for all visitors, while over 20 km of hiking and biking trails cater to outdoor enthusiasts. The park is also a haven for wildlife, with opportunities to spot deer, black bears, and golden eagles, adding to the natural allure. Tips for Visitors: Bring a canopy or umbrella for shade, as the beach has limited natural cover. Sunscreen is essential, and a wagon can simplify transporting gear from the parking lot. Note that dogs are not allowed on the main South Beach but are permitted on a leash at the nearby North Beach day-use area. Also, cell phone service is unreliable in the park, so plan to use paper maps or download offline guides for navigation. Alouette Lake is a must-visit for families, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a serene escape near Vancouver. With its blend of recreational facilities, natural beauty, and thoughtful amenities, it’s a destination that delivers unforgettable memories. I highly recommend reserving your free day-use pass, packing your beach essentials, and enjoying a day of fun and relaxation at this Lower Mainland treasure!
Paul D — Google review
A stunning backdrop to do any of the fun outdoor things - water sports, swimming, lounging, hiking... The facilities are great - flushable toilets, available water, paved and well managed trails make this an easy destination for all families and abilities to enjoy. Campsites are booked as soon as they're available (months ahead of time) but the day use area is a great way to get the benefit of the place without staying

The Maple Ridge Museum & Community Archives is a delightful community museum with plenty of surprises to offer. Visitors can marvel at the spectacular train display, explore the impressive fireplace, and discover intriguing dioramas. The friendly staff are knowledgeable about the settlers of Haney and are eager to share their insights. Additionally, the museum features exhibits on First Nations and prominent local families.
A wonderful place. Must visit. The model of old maple ridge is amazing, and the attention to detail is just mesmerizing.

Intriguing and accessible museum. Free admission too. Due to space, only a small fraction of the collection is on display at a time — which is impressive; nonetheless, would love to see it expanded. Great for learning about local history.

First time visiting here, great and impressed a lot by train model downstairs and nice floor plan. Small but nice and full of knowledge. The host today : Gunoor(hope I spelled right) greeting us so welcome and friendly. She made our visit more memorable and the gentleman who waiting for us to come downstairs to tell story so nice and professional. Really recommended.

Had a great walk through, wish I had got the girls names who work there they were so pleasant to talk to, full of original pieces here as well & so much to learn, when you go down to the basement WOW! There is a diorama that has 30+ years of progress on it & still to this day continue to work on it. From what I've learned the last Sunday of the month they open it up so you can get a close up look at it & run the train.

A nice place to check when it’s rainy day. Cute crafts to do, kids like it. The display on downstairs is very cool.

Small sample of the history of Maple Ridge but it provides a good amount information. The displays rotate so you can often see new items. The train is well worth the time to check out. Hat's off to Sophie for making our visit so delightful. It's nice to see a young person so enthusiastic about the history.

A quaint museum that tells the story of major players in Maple Ridge history, covering the Japanese immigrants, pro athletes from Maple Ridge, and of course, Canadian traditions like hockey and skating. This museum is more for those who like history rather than very interactive elements. Staff are friendly and will answer your questions

For first-timers, definitely chat with the staff before buying your package to ensure the heights and skill levels are a good fit. Lots of fun for kids and adults. The seasons pass is the best bet if you plan to visit multiple times. Great way to get the kids out and active. 3 levels of difficulty in the classic course. A kids course and an extreme course. There are other fun activities like axe throwing and bungee jumping and so much more. Great for birthday parties. You are secured to the course the entire time so no risk of falling.

My kiddos loved it! The leaders were helpful and made a new experience one to remember. Even with all the rain coming down the kids had a blast. Very cool park. The 40 foot drop was cool too!
Mandie D — Google review
Was super fun! Friendly staff too. The only thing during our experience I didn’t like was seeing a father force his kid to do the hard version of the course. The kid was crying all the way up the rope ladder! Everyone behind them left because it was taking too long. We let the front know we didn’t know this track since the father and son were pretty much taking up so much time. They refunded us our add on. We appreciate the flexibility in refunds. Overall though, it was fun! Maybe well try the hard course another time.

Great experience for the kids ages 9 and 6, kids course was fun and 9 yo also had lots of fun on the classic course. Good challenge with lots of zip lines. ALL Staff were excellent, caring and encouraging for the times when the kids were a bit scared. Thanks Wild Play!!! Will be sure to come again.

I recently treated my family to an unforgettable morning at WildPlay Element Parks in Maple Ridge, and it exceeded every expectation for a thrilling yet safe outdoor escapade. Nestled in the lush surroundings of 23485 Fern Crescent—right next to Maple Ridge Park and just a short drive from Golden Ears Provincial Park—this aerial adventure park offers a perfect blend of adrenaline-pumping challenges and natural beauty, making it an ideal spot for families looking to unplug and bond amid the trees. We purchased our tickets online in advance (a smart move, as pre-booking is highly recommended to secure your preferred time slot), and arrived on a cool, slightly cloudy Sunday morning in early November. The weather was crisp but dry—no rain in sight—and the park's wooded setting provided just enough shelter to keep things comfortable. Check-in was a breeze, with friendly staff efficiently issuing our color-coded wristbands after a quick height check. Free parking was plentiful in the on-site lot, and the overall vibe felt welcoming and well-organized, complete with amenities like covered picnic tables, walking trails, and even off-leash dog areas nearby for any four-legged family members. Our crew included three energetic kids aged 9, 10, and 11, all of whom were buzzing with excitement to tackle the Extreme Course—one of WildPlay's most exhilarating offerings, featuring heart-racing ziplines, suspended obstacles up to 50 feet high, and a signature 40-foot freefall jump. Luckily, they met the minimum height requirement of 4'8" (our youngest was right on the cusp!), and the park's innovative closed-loop safety system—where you're always securely tethered—gave us parents total peace of mind as they zipped from platform to platform. The course took about 45-60 minutes to conquer, blending moderate challenges like cargo nets and swinging logs with extreme elements that had them whooping and high-fiving the whole way. Even our slightly shorter adventurer faced only minor hurdles, struggling to reach a cable or two, but the staff were quick to offer tips and encouragement, turning potential frustration into a rewarding sense of accomplishment. Watching them navigate the 62 aerial games and nine ziplines was pure joy—they emerged grinning ear-to-ear, covered in a light sheen of triumph (and maybe a few leaves). My daughter was so hooked that when I suggested a second round right then and there, she bolted back to the starting line without hesitation! What I love most about WildPlay is its inclusivity: while the kids dominated the treetops, adults can join in on the fun too, whether scaling the three progressive levels of the Classic Course or trying axe throwing at the on-site station. It's not just kid-centric; it's a full-family adventure that builds confidence and creates lasting memories. We'd rate it a solid 9 out of 10 on the fun meter—challenging enough for tweens but accessible for beginners—and we're already planning our return visit, perhaps with the season pass for unlimited access across their Canadian. If you're in the Lower Mainland seeking a nature-based adrenaline rush, skip the screens and head to WildPlay Maple Ridge. You won't regret it—your kids (and inner child) will thank you!

Nature & Parks
Maple Ridge Park is a fantastic destination in British Columbia, offering a variety of activities for visitors. The park features walking trails, a water spray park, playgrounds, picnic areas, and horseshoe pitches. It boasts lush green spaces and old-growth trees with ample parking and restroom facilities available. Visitors can enjoy the picturesque Alouette River flowing alongside the park, where many people float down on tubes due to its shallow and gentle flow.
Great park to hang out with whole family and friends. There’s playground, spray park, the river is so nice to just float with your floaty. Kids friendly. A lot of shades, and shallow river with some ripples.

Very nice scenery, a pleasant walk and a refreshing swim. It is a place for the whole family. We really enjoyed our time in the park and will definitely be visiting it again very soon
Mona A — Google review
Wonderful park with plenty of activities and spaces, shaded areas, seating and toilets. The Large spray pad tops this off especially for warm and sunny days. There is a large open area which is perfect for setting up volleyball nets or playing other ball sports, with large trees providing shade around the perimeter for setting up picnic mats/chairs. There is also a short walk by the river which spots to go right down to the water. It can get busy on the hot days, but we found going early around 10-11am it was not too busy and easy to get a parking spot in the main lot.
Lloyd S — Google review
Always love going down to this park. There is a splash park for the littles, picnic tables for fun gatherings, a playground and wandering trails next to the creek. We love going down with our dogs and walking amidst the tall old growth cedars and enjoying the sound of the water. Great place for a family BBQ or picnic 🧺

Maple Ridge Park offers an enchanting escape into nature's embrace. As I strolled through the verdant pathways, I was captivated by the symphony of rustling leaves and birdsong. The delicate interplay of sunlight filtering through towering maples created a magical dance of shadows on the forest floor. The tranquil pond, adorned with water lilies, mirrored the serenity of the surroundings. This hidden gem in British Columbia invites you to pause, breathe, and revel in the quiet poetry of the wilderness.
Nithul J — Google review
The whole family had so much fun here. Not too crowded, clean and a lots of play structures for kids all ages to play together. Splash pad is also perfect for my little one. So we had a good time picnic and play there all day

Tubing at the Alouette River in Maple Ridge was great! The park & river were kept very clean. Make sure you go early so the rivers tide is still high enough to go tubing. The later it gets the lower the tide & you might end up stuck in the rocks. The parking lots are limited to 8-12 stalls each so be warned! But The washrooms were suprisingly clean. Overall a great local activity with friends and family

Photo: grandkids enjoying a cool down in the creek. This is a wonderful park for families...a water park, superb playground, trails, picnic tables, lots of shade. The only issue is parking, particularly for special occasions, such as the annual Easter Egg hunt. Recommend it!

I can’t recommend Karen and her Hawk Walk enough. I surprised my partner with the walk and we want to do it again. You learn so much and become comfortable with the hawks as you walk through her beautiful property. Be prepared to be calm and open ears to Karen’s direction and guidance. It’s an up close and personal experience as well as a spiritual one. Karen is so down to earth, funny, and an informative handler and you feel her love for her birds. Absolutely wonderful experience that we look forward to doing again in the future.

This was an absolutely amazing experience. The facility was clean and well-equipped, ensuring a safe environment for both participants and birds. Karen’s dedication to animal welfare was evident in every aspect of the walk, and it was heartwarming to see their genuine care for the birds. I left with a deeper appreciation for birds and a newfound respect for the art of bird handling. I highly recommend the Hawk Walk to anyone interested in raptors and looking for a unique and enriching experience.

The first year we tried to book an experience we were told that they only book certain month and they were completely booked up. That is fine we understand. No offer for cancellations or anything like that. Second year I started to email very early as we have two girls who absolutely love birds. We booked months in advance we signed waivers sent the 200.000 payment and were set to go. No reminders no what to expect even booking the “with a twist” was not totally clear what we were to expect. The day of we got up got ready drove from Surrey to Maple Ridge 40min only to find the gates were locked. We were so confused I finally checked my email and they cancelled on us, due to rainy weather that the birds don’t like the rain. They could have sent an email the night before to give us the heads up that this might happen. The kids were disappointed adults were disappointed. When we emailed back we were offered one other time slot in the summer that did not work for us due to custody arrangements and we couldn’t come up with another date that would work for our family again due to summer custody not being nailed down. I emailed back requesting a refund rather than going back and forth knowing it would be next to impossible to find a date and also knowing that the program was probably booked up. Two weeks later I haven’t heard back yet. Today I sent another email to confirm I would be getting my refund. Updates to come to let you know the results. No apologies not very friendly and definitely not accommodating. Super sad because we were so excited to see the birds and learn about them. If I had a choice I would put zero stars as a parent who didn’t really have the money to put out in the first place.

Fantastic learning opportunity to see and learn about birds. Raptors Ridge serves as an ambassador of humanity/dinosaur-relations, and deserves recognition for caring for many retired working & rescued birds. It certainly isn't an easy job to take care of an owl. Try taking care of more than 20.

The Haney House Museum, the oldest standing residential building in Maple Ridge, is a must-visit for history enthusiasts. Open for tours every Sunday, this heritage home offers a glimpse into the past with original family-owned artifacts and a blend of modern and historical elements. The museum staff are knowledgeable and friendly, providing insightful information about the house's history. Additionally, visitors can enjoy special events like 'the Dead of night' experience for an informative and slightly eerie encounter.
Such a cool old heritage home, full of history & I love how everything here is passed down through the family so it is original pieces of history that belonged to them, the kitchen is a little more modern as they host tea time lunches and such so they do need a functioning kitchen but it as well still has a lot of original pieces in it. Thank you to Allison my guide today, a wealth of information, keep up the good work girl!

Malcolm Knapp Research Forest is an undiscovered treasure with fantastic hiking paths. During a visit in May, black bears were spotted near the entrance, serving as a reminder that one must be mindful when venturing into their natural habitat. The area offers a plethora of marked trails suitable for all skill levels and durations. With ample parking, restroom facilities, and informative maps, it is an excellent destination for exploration and education.
It was a day I was amazed to discover such beautiful nature near my residential area. It felt like going on a field trip with teacher back in school, adventuring into the forest. Inside, there were moss-covered trees and clear, cool streams flowing through the valley. Walking along the longest and widest Blue Route, I tried to explore as many forest paths as possible, but even with a detour to the viewpoint, three hours were enough. A great walking route to enjoy before autumn ends and winter arrives.
Jinny L — Google review
Nice hearty hike with interpretive signs and some kids activities. Path is rooty but well maintained. Note that regardless of which trail you plan to go on, there is a pretty steep section right at the beginning before the split off that could be challenging for young'uns and elders. You can download and print the PDF map from their website, but overall the trail is easy to follow via the colour-coded square markers on the trees. We saw black tail deer too!

Cheese Product Review: Gouda Onion Garlic BEST CHEESE FOR SCRAMBLED EGGS I had the pleasure of purchasing your product this morning at the West End Farmers Market. I couldn’t wait to run home and make brunch of scrambled eggs with fresh market greens and freshly made honey mustard dressing. I was greatly rewarded! This semi soft cheese has such beautiful creamy texture, and flavorful notes with the addition of onion and garlic to it. It was the perfect companion for eggs. I look forward to trying all your products. Nice job!

Really lovely place!! They have delicious food from high quality ingredients. Lots of goods available there from local artisans. It made me want to go live out my dreams of getting some jersey cows and crafting cheeses and having a little shop like this. But that’s totally impractical for me right now, and I was mostly just thinking that while we were there. So, I guess that just means they have successfully built something wonderful that makes people like being there, and that’s really nice.

We usually go to this park a lot years ago. When we come back there again, it's changing a lot but it's getting better. A big playground had built. It's good for kids. The green area is smaller than before. The small concession was gone. The water is so clear and the new soft sand in the beach for good for all. If you plan go to there in summer, you better go early morning to get the parking spot. There are 6 portable washrooms in the park. The washrooms in the centre are still open. The calm lake are perfect for all water sports.

Or after 4 pm

Laity Pumpkin Patch - South is a delightful destination for families to create joyful memories. This charming place offers a wide variety of pumpkins, ranging from small to large sizes, each with its own price based on its dimensions. The entrance fee is $7 per person and includes access to all the activities, excluding the purchase of pumpkins. It is advisable to arrive early in order to secure a favorable parking spot.
First time going to South side, was just as good as the North. Washrooms, concession that doesn't break the bank, pumpkins are a decent price. They have all sorts of fun activities for kids & adults to play with their kids, animals, corn mazes & photo ops. Definitely wear boots!
Marina B — Google review
We had a great day at the pumpkin patch! It was pretty busy because it was Thanksgiving, and a sunny holiday Monday. They were well staffed and prepared for the staff. There was a lot for younger kids to do. They had a number of cool displays. The corn maze was fun to do.

Highly recommend visiting this place on a sunny day. This way you can get the best of all the facilities. They have different mazes, lot of fun outdoor activities for older kids, and some animals. I didn't see any place that you could pet an animal, but I might have missed it. There are lots of different games that anyone can play, like pumpkin chess, giant connect 4, dominoes and many more. If you have very young kids, I recommend visiting their North patch that is designed for younger children. This place have a lot of places you/you and family/ friends can take beautiful fall/Halloween pictures. They have also provide lots of seating areas, along with hand wishing areas. There is also a cafe. At the entrance, there are a lot of wheelbarrows that you can use. Overall, you can have a fun day with family/ friends here.

Maple Ridge Leisure Centre underwent renovations around 2020, making it a top choice for swimmers of all skill levels. The facility features a lane swimming pool, as well as separate pools for kids and babies. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a spacious hot tub and a water slide designed with younger children in mind. Whether you're an experienced swimmer or looking to teach your little ones how to swim, the leisure centre offers something for everyone in Maple Ridge.
My favorite indoor pool in the lower mainland offers a fantastic experience. Here are the highlights: 1. The water and facilities are modern and clean, especially considering how busy the pool areas can get. 2. There is a 25-cent fee for locker use. 3. The entry fee is $6. 4. Amenities include a steam room, hot tub, sauna, cold plunge, lazy river in the kids' section, lap pools, and a tube slide. 5. The staff is friendly and accommodating. 6. There are plenty of lifeguards on duty. 7. The pool area is well-maintained, and guests are generally respectful. 8. There are gender-neutral changing areas, some of which have showers, toilets, and small seating areas that can accommodate families of 2 to 4 people. 9. The best time to go for adult swim is on weekdays, between 7 AM and 3 PM. Weekends tend to be busy. Overall, it's a wonderful place to swim!

This is a very nice pool for recreational purposes. We love taking our baby there. We appreciate that they have changing tables available unlike other leisure centres we have been to. Unfortunately, we signed up our baby for swimming lessons and we found the program to seem very informal and disorganized. We have friends that signed up their babies at different locations and what they received was way better.

Locals don't know how lucky they are to have multiple pools, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, water slide - all at their fingertips for just a few dollars for the whole family. Is it perfect and luxurious? no. Is it fantastic value for money and a great amenity to the local area? Yes.
James M — Google review
I come in to watch my family swim and you close one of the semi quiet sitting viewing areas off between 3-6pm when teens come out from school. Now I can’t sit there and it’s busy today. This must be something new because it wasn’t like this before. So, don’t deal with the issue, close it off to everyone. It doesn’t make sense. I don’t want to sit in the humid viewing area. Please consider a different approach, I know you’ve got it in you. We all have paid for the use of this facility.

April 13th my husband and granddaughter were at the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre when the fire alarm went off. Everyone had to exit the building until it was safe to return. The life guards gave people emergency blankets. While walking our granddaughter tripped over the blanket and fell to the ground. Two lifeguards immediately tended to her to insure she was ok. They comforted her as she was upset. Luckily it was just a scrape. I just want to say kudos to these wonderful people. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness!

I appreciate the staff’s help and patience with my 4-years old child. He initially refused to learn swimming due to unfamiliarity, but the supervisor thoughtfully arranged a very patient coach to guide and encourage him. Throughout the process, they were gentle and patient. Thank you very much.

Its always so awkward going to this pool. The sauna and steam room always have 30 men inside, the hot tub is filled with just men, plus you can't swim in any pool cause there's always lessons or swim team meets.... as a woman who loves to swim this is not the place to go !

The city's designated area, known as Memorial Peace Park Spirit Square, offers a convenient gathering point for various purposes. It has become a popular meeting spot where people often come together. However, caution is advised on the west side as it tends to harbor unsavory characters. Nevertheless, with enough presence and vigilance, one can avoid any trouble. Recently, Glow at Memorial Peace Park was an enchanting sight that attracted many visitors.
My wife was setting up and taking down a vendor location so we spent most of Canada day at the park. It was nice to see so many people out and with it being outdoors it felt relatively covid safe. The big flag was set up by the fire department on their ladder. Lots of decent music entertainment etc.

Lovely park. Clean, tidy and great access to parking close-by. We were here to watch a concert in the bandstand and it was a great venue to do that. Also great that it’s so close to other businesses and amenities, which we took advantage of to get some refreshments before our concert. If it’s a hot day, there are also plenty of trees to catch some shade.

This is a nice-looking park. It is not particularly clean and there was vagrancy issue when I was walking around there recently. I do like the structures all around the park, like the bandstand, the fountain signs that is flowing fluorescent water and the stone memorial cross. Memorial Peace Park is right in the heart of downtown Maple Ridge, and it really feels like the community’s gathering spot. The open green space is well-kept, with fountains, gardens, and plenty of benches to sit and people-watch. It’s surrounded by the Leisure Centre, City Hall, and the ACT Arts Centre, so there’s always some activity nearby. The park often hosts markets, festivals, and community events, which makes it lively, but on quieter days it’s also a nice place for a stroll or a break. Parking can be a bit tricky during events, but transit access is good. It’s not a big park, but it’s central and welcoming.

The park has a limited number of fixed picnic tables, and you need to get there very early in the morning to claim one. After noon, especially on weekends, it becomes nearly impossible to find parking. You'll likely have to park quite far away. Parking is very inconvenient, and the park gets very crowded on weekends.

Very peaceful and serenity location in Maple Ridge with beautiful beach and lake for you to explore and enjoy on your leisure time. Perfect for one day trip in the summer time.

Beautiful lake with swimming area. Sandy sunny beach bar, sheltered areas with picnic tables for bbqing or outside picnics/eats. There is also wooded areas for shade. Great place to play capture the flag. Wonderful spot

This is a kids friendly park! It has two main parts: the land and the Whonnock Lake. The water part is larger than the land part. There is a great playground, a sandy beach. a nice fishing dock, a small garden, a boating club and a visit center, of course the amazing lake as well for your various family activities, like gathering, picnics, fishing, boating, or swimming etc.. Don’t worry about parking because there are lots of parking space. Enjoy the nice day!
Helena — Google review
What a great urban lake. Been here twice in the past few weeks. The fishing was really good. There's a few floating docks throughout the lake. The area to launch boats isn't clearly marked but you'll see where the other vehicles are parked right up to the waters edge. I recommend launching, and keeping your spot, or run the risk that there isn't any spots to load your boat when you're ready to leave. Signage needs to be more clear about no motors being allowed as some think it only applies to gas outboard motors. The washroms are really nice too.

A cozy lake and picnic area in Maple Ridge. It has a nice kids playground which you rarely can find in many lakes. You can swim, ride your boat and barbecue here. Dogs on leash are allowed to the area. Must go soon in the morning to find a parking spot. The good point about the lake is it doesn’t need to get day pass in summer and if every lake day pass was sold out, don’t hesitate to go here and enjoy.

Serene vibes and very beautiful view. Loved the experience. Best picnic place around the area. There is little beach here as well. Where kids can play and build sand castles

Maple Ridge Golf Course is a historic and picturesque 9-hole course located in the Fraser Valley, established in 1926. The course offers unique challenges with wide fairways and numerous traps, making it suitable for both advanced and intermediate players. Golf carts are available for a small fee, and the well-kept greens provide an enjoyable playing experience.
This place is AMAZING Andrew, Deb and Joe are great owners that really really make you feel at home. Course is great with hills and flats, something for everyone. Wednesday is lady’s night and Thursday is for the men. No matter what day of the week this is a great course to play, I highly recommend!!!!!

December 1st, 2024. Beautiful day in Maple Ridge. Course was enjoyable.
A D — Google review
Challenging course, well kept but lots of large hills and small greens, 2nd hole has very large Gulley which can be dangerous as u may not know if someone is down there, whole 5 I believe crosses between 8th hole which is a weird layout, can be dangerous hitting down blind hills, overall ok for price
Ashwin P — Google review
Tonight I took my 7 year old son to the course for his first time. I went at 7 hoping it wouldn’t busy so he could take his time. When we arrived there was a threesome on the first tee. We went into the pro shop and waited 5 minutes for the lady to help us. She told me they were done for the night. I pointed out the guys teeing off on the first hole. She said they were the last group for the night. She didn’t seem like she was in the mood to be making exceptions so I didn’t make a big deal about it. It’s safe to say I won’t be going back there with him. Thanks for ruining what would have been his first time at a golf course. Looking at the past reviews it seems that many people have had the same level of service from this woman. Wish I would have read this before we went there.
Jackson M — Google review
Great local place for 9 hole golf. Good price, but by sure to reserve a golf cart or you're walking the course.
Cengiz G — Google review
If I could give it zero stars, I would. To the lady behind the counter, shame on you for disrespecting the teenaged boys like a savage and for kicking them off the first tee box as the first boy couldn't hit the ball well enough to your mighty pro golf athletes eye. There are much better places in ridge to play.
Diana M — Google review
I really enjoy playing here the course is great advanced it is a little speedy but nice 9 hole course and if your intermediate pretty good to get your game up wide fairways and a lot of traps great place to learn how to master the game called golf a lot if hills gold carts are available and also manual carts are as well both for a small fee, the prices are good and the greens roll just tucked away in Maple ridge good place to go check it out
EdgeG — Google review
Beautiful day, but DO NOT bring kids. The proprietor rudely told kids to stay off the course because they didn't have insurance for kids. Absolutely appalling and ghetto service for a golf and country club.

Community center
Hammond Outdoor Pool, located next to the Hammond Community Center, is a popular spot for families and kids in Maple Ridge. The pool is open from late April to September and offers amenities like a wheelchair lift and transfer lift. It's free for everyone, but children under six must be accompanied by an adult. While it's not very large and lacks a diving area, the friendly staff ensure a pleasant experience by maintaining cleanliness and providing assistance.
Local community pool and it's lovely! Great prices and clean pool, it's a great way to spend the day with your kids!
Kim W — Google review
The pool is clean, affordable entry fee and well-staffed, and hours are decent (though wish there were some evening time slots for lane swimming). One star off for the lack of change table in the changing rooms. I had to change my daughter on my lap since there were just benches or the wet floor in the change room to put her on. Pretty weird oversight in the facilities considering the primary users of the pool appear to be families with young kids.
Brittany H — Google review
It’s a very good and clean facility. Very good for families with kids. If anybody wants to have some fun, some sun and resting from work, I recommend this place.
Galina F — Google review
Open to public during summer time. Offering swimming classes for kids during summer time as well. Outdoor seats and tables provided. Changing rooms available (both female and male). Free parking lot in the front, but limited and easy get full, need to find one (street parking) in the community. Very easy access.

Great old outdoor pool. Small it awesome. Friendly staff and terrific aquafit instructors. Recommend🙂
Bill W — Google review
Fun place to take the kids, well maintained. Friendly lifeguards. And it's free!
Jaded R — Google review
This pool is good because it is free! It is open from 12 -7 every day to the public. (Lessons are from open until 12). The life guards are very friendly and helpful. They are even open when it's raining! Best time to go for a swim😊 because you will most likely have the pool to yourself and you will be wet anyway also the rain actually makes the pool feel nice and warm. There is a deep end that I think is 6' deep but also a shallow end for young ones. The change/bathrooms are small but there is one shower per room boys and girls. Once again it's free all summer!!
Melanie N — Google review
It's a smaller outdoor pool with no diving area, which is why I only give it 4 stars. Staff are friendly, and started sanitizing as soon as we left the pool. Currently you reserve your spot as early as 1 week in advance, and for the public swim you get the entire pool for your group of up to 10 people. You are allowed to bring toys as they are not providing any. Note, there isn't any shade mid-day, so if the sun is a problem, you may want a morning or evening time.

Had brunch here Saturday with my kids. Very tasty chorizo bowl (just wish the toast was hot!) Service was friendly. Not a place to come if you're in a hurry; the food takes time. If you're looking for a leisurely brunch at a small local place, definitely worth a try 👏

You can tell just by the taste they they use very quality ingredients. Server was reluctant to alter the side choices for me but after asking a few times she asked the kitchen and they agreed which was nice. Very delicious, good portion size. My only hangup was with tax and tip I was $40 for a burger and coffee. As usual, food prices in the country at large are the real culprit.

Found this place in walking distance when looking for a spot for breakfast. Food was fantastic. Definitely recommend the breakfast poutine. Shoe lace fries, mixed shredded cheese, with pulled pork and gravy topped with a poached egg was soooo good. Definitely check out their fridge for ready made you can take home.

Big Feast catering brought in amazing food for our event. Feeding 40 hungry firefighters isn’t easy, but the team at Big Feast did an amazing job. The food was delivered on time, was nice and hot and most of all very tasty. Would highly recommend and we look forward to ordering from them again.

Update 3: I had the breakfast taco and it was absolutely delicious. Very messy and filling too. The overflowing hollandaise sauce went great on the buttery potatoes. Highly recommended. Update 2: I had The Benny with bacon. Really delicious. Next up will be breakfast taco. Update 1: I had the mushroom omelette (with four cheese blend instead of goat cheese) with roasted potatoes and it was absolutely delicious. Loaded with mushrooms and very flavourful. Really good pulled pork sandwich. Just wish it had more sauce. I like things saucy.

Located in downtown Maple Ridge, right next to the tranquil Fraser River, Billy Miner Ale House and Café offers an authentic alehouse experience with a rich history. The lively hangout is known for its wide-ranging pub grub and craft beers. Guests can enjoy live music, trivia nights, and music bingo while taking in the backdrop of the river. The location across from the rumbling train tracks adds to its charm.
Gotta say, I read complaints about service here not long ago. Not our experience at all. Service was quick, food was great. Ate it so fast, I didn't think about taking a picture of it. But the pesto chicken sandwich with fries was FAB. Hubby had pizza and loved it. 30 July 2024 Both of us had burgers, mine was the Alehouse burger, with fries. So good. Fries, were so fresh. Hubby had a burger as well, he very much enjoyed it, and he scarfed down the fries first, because they were so good. Obviously we ate so fast I didn't get a picture of the entire meal. Lol. Great spot, good service, loved the food.

A group of us that have known each other since Elementary School and High School, have been meeting and getting together at the Billy Minor Pub for about the past Five years. It's convenient as one of our friends lives in the Cayman Islands, and his parents live walking distance to the Pub. So meeting here just makes it easier for him that way. We always have a great time getting together and of course sharing some great memories along the way. We've always been treated well at the Billy Minor Pub and well taken care of as well. We always enjoy the food and the nice Beer selection as well.

Delicious food and good service. The cornbread is one of the best I’ve ever had and the house salad even as a side is very well made and much better than the average salad you get elsewhere. Prices are very reasonable, large selection of beers and good range of food options. Will definitely be back.
Tanisha B — Google review
Been here a couple times now. The prices are really fair compared to other restaurants. The portion sizes are huge. Not what you'd expect considering the price. Lots of taps of beer to choose from. Definitely order the cornbread with maple butter.
Sarah B — Google review
Great place. The patio is large and has a great view. We went on a monday and the patio was still busy with lots of seats to choose from inside. The pizza is great and the beer is cold. Amazing view of the river and a great place for a stroll before or after. The patio is a great place to celebrate in the sun or watch the sunset.
Chris F — Google review
All the food was so tasty. The garlic sauce combined with the bbq chicken was insane, so creamy and tangy. The bell ringer burger was surprisingly good, perfect amount of spice and the chilli sauce wasn’t too sweet, it was perfectly balanced. The pizza was shockingly good, one of the better pizzas I’ve had, only issue was because the ingredients were laid on heavy it needed a bit more sauce added such as Bbq sauce or ranch on top. They have a massive beer list to choose from as well. If you haven’t tried this place yet you are missing out!

We were visiting Maple Ridge from Burnaby, and wanted to go where the locals go for lunch. We chose to drop by here and checked out the place. We weren't disappointed. Sister & I out for a bike ride. We came across this pub. Beautiful location right across from Fraser river on the Maple Ridge by-pass. We had excellent service (sry chicki I can't recall your name even tho I did ask :/ ) she was attentive. She went above and beyond. At the end of the evening I was being attacked by mosquitoes and she was kind enough to bring me out her personal bug spray to use!! This blew my sister and I away. Thank you again. OK... the food was top notch 👌 my sister and I grew up eating very well and our taste buds just loved every bite of everything we both ordered - posted in the pics. A MUST try is the corn bread! Wow! It was a great way to start out our taste buds experience. My sister and I have already talked about going back b4 we even left on what table we wanted next on the patio. I am a singer and we found a tunnel right beside the pub. Huge bonus to my sister and I. We sang there for over an hr. Very much enjoyed this experience!

Very calm lake and well maintained. Not very deep and small enough to use floaties and just chill in the wtaer. Short easy beautiful trails in the park for hiking. We had a camping spot which was with good privacy and also had access to washrooms with water and shower in addition to potties.

Small and calm lake with falls nearby. Keep going once you see the first fall, there are more and bigger and more beautiful falls after the first one. A good place to enjoy a quiet Tuesday afternoon. We saw some mushrooms, some beautiful yet maybe poisonous purple mushrooms.

The best local beach with sand! Rolley is a no boating of any kind Lake with a beautiful beach and swimming area. There are bathrooms on either side of the beach but they are outhouses. Great place for paddleboarding or floating. A small marshy area to the side has Lily pads and wildlife. Take the trail for a short walk up to the campground or you can go all the way around in one hour. The back loop at Rolley Falls is challenging with a one hour hike down into a gully and back up. It is best done on a cooler day. When you hit the road, there is another entrance back onto the rest of the trail and it's not marked. Keep your eye out. Going up or down the road does not take you back.

We went here to do kayak and fishing. It's June of 2024 and we got no luck with fish. It's a great place for swimming, floaties and paddle boarding. Some people go around the trail to fish on the other side of the lake or walk their dogs. Great alternative close to Hayward lake.

Such a beautiful lake with peaceful beach and nice trail. Lots of room to enjoy sunshine, swim and paddle board. Campsites well developed and clean washroom. Picnic side is beautiful. Unfortunately washrooms are not as nice compared to campsite. Only shelter washroom available. Road is not asphalt, and very dusty.

Rolley Falls and Lake Trail are a great treck for the entire family or anyone needing to get outdoors not far from the city. Dogs love this trail as well, as they get to sniff new scents along the way and of course there are various small streams as well. In the fall to early winter make sure to wear appropriate footwear as sections of the trail will have low running water. Wonderful scenery as you meander through open areas and then closed forested sections along the lake trail. Lastly, the water falls are just superb. Safe hiking to all. Enjoy.

Lots of moss covred trees very green. There is a beach and grass area close to the parking lot with picnic benches and a bathroom, there are lots of fishing spots along the lake, and a camp site near the entrance great place to come to relax during a stressful time or with the family. Delta Force Paintball Maple Ridge in Vancouver is a top-notch paintball site suitable for families and adult groups. The facility offers everything on-site, making it convenient for individuals to join without a team. Despite the pricey cost of paint, the variety of courses and transparent deal packages make it worth the visit. Visitors can expect an enjoyable experience with ample playtime and rest intervals between games. While some suggest the need for more referees, the staff is described as professional and helpful.
I had set-up a corporate Team Building experience. Hands down the staff at Delta Force where exceptional. Matt, was a top guy who represented himself and the company well. He was very happy to hear there was 15 Irish people gaming today. Finally some got his humorous jokes. All Round 5Star setup.

Nice venue and battle sites. My main criticism is with lumping everyone together. You'll easily wait an hour for the last person to get ready, so don't bother arriving early. There end up with bad mismatches between ages, skills, and ammo. Imagine a playground with both adults and little kids battling it out.
Kurt K — Google review
Mixed Experience at Delta Force Paintball – Great Staff, Disappointing Pricing Transparency My wife purchased a paintball package from Delta Force at the Outdoor Adventure Show – 12 experiences for $109.95 plus $64 for 400 paintballs. On the surface, it seemed like a great deal, with advertised savings of around $129. The sales reps told her that we’d only need to buy paintballs, and that 400 balls would be enough for the whole group. They even mentioned we’d get about 6 rounds per experience. (three settings of 2ea. 10 minute rounds) When we arrived at the field, however, the story changed. We were told that each person should expect to use around 100 paintballs per experience – something that wasn’t clearly explained at the time of purchase. To play with more tha 100 paintballs, we were required to buy a group package: 450 paintballs per person for $65 each. For four people, that meant another $260+ on top of what we already paid. We felt blindsided. While the paintball games themselves were fun and the on-site staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and well-organized, the way the sales pitch was handled left a bad taste. We were told the extra info was on the website, but that’s not how the deal was sold. We expected $20 more, not $65 per person. We had considered giving the rest of the passes to our daughter and her friends, but with the hidden costs, it’s simply not affordable for teens. A fun day overall – but a very expensive lesson. I’d recommend Delta Force be much more transparent about the actual costs involved. 3 stars for the staff. The deceptive sales and high cost detracted from an otherwise good experience

The Kanaka Park has the Kanaka Creek in it with the Cliff Falls as part of the creek. It’s very beautiful. There is an easy to moderate trail to get here. Parking is nearby, so make the effort to come because you will not regret it. This is the cutest local golf course I've ever been. Its literally their backyard, so much love & history. Enjoyed playing 9 holes & love everything! Definitely coming back next summer. Love the service and vibe.
Shierly Y — Google review
First time playing this course today. Very impressed with this little gem of a course tucked away in this quiet and idyllic suburban neighborhood. Nice course for beginners and for those who want to practice the short game or get accurate with your irons. Its a very relaxed, rustic, and welcoming par 3 course. The greens looked great. But, they're very tiny!!! You need to be accurate. Most of the greens are flat and they don't have collars on either. So, your putter won't save you if you just miss a green. The fairways were lush. Not muddy at all after 2 rainy days. It felt great hitting lob wedge off of the fairway. Easy to get under the ball because the grass just plops it up. Deer frequent the place as per the greenskeeper At the end of my round two of them showed up and just hung out as I walked by.
Hermes B — Google review
Exactly what the name says! A good course for taking a beginner to hack it around, and also fun to work on your wedges if you’re more experienced. Gentleman working was super friendly and the price is justified. We went after heavy rainfall so it was a bit soggy, but still enjoyable.

A fantastic local golf course. They've really turned things around with a new groundskeeper and you can see how well the course is taken care of. Easy-going, friendly, and challenging. A great course to learn on and to improve your short game.

This course is great for practicing your short game. The tiny greens make for some challenging shots for sure. Just watch out for the resident ball thief (puppy)… lol

Whether you're a novice or an experienced climber, this facility welcomes everyone to enjoy its diverse climbing walls. You can bring along friends and family for a fun day out or choose to challenge yourself solo in a supportive environment that emphasizes both mental and physical growth.
Small group of us went on Sunday at opening. Was not too busy. Some of us had never been. Great team and staff who explained use and safety rules. Thomas was exceptional at checking us in and engaging, helpful. Clean and well kept! Will be back

If you're looking for a rock climbing gym that's perfect for kids and families, this place is a gem! The staff is fantastic at communicating safety rules to the kids in a fun and engaging way, making sure everyone feels confident and secure while climbing. The atmosphere is super family-friendly, and they make it easy for you to drop in on the weekends, whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned climber. It's a great spot for both kids and adults to bond over a fun, active experience. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a welcoming environment to climb, especially with kids!

We had our 10 YO's bday there and it was REALLY good! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, very encouraging as well! We lucked out having 3 instructors to help our group so everyone was cared for and was able to move around different walls very efficiently! We had a blast! And now my 6 YO wants to have his birthday there too 😄 They get busy during transition time so I'd strongly recommend paying your bill while you're using the party room or while you're still having the faculty to your group!

Great place to enjoy climbing. I went for a bouldering session and the problemes were excellent and for all levels. Kudos to the route setters that made the best out of the available space! I see a lot of reviews talking about kids friendly environement, but i recommend this for anyone, regardless of their level.

We had our son’s 9th birthday here today and it was a fantastic experience. The staff was great, we had the gym to ourselves, and there are so many auto-belays that the kids can be climbing constantly. The party room isn’t so much a room as a balcony, so you’re never out of contact with the kids when you’re doing setup, and there’s a kitchenette so you have a sink and fridge with a freezer. We’d 100% come back here. It was the best destination birthday we’ve ever done.

Lower Falls Trail is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and tourists in New Zealand. Situated in the picturesque Tangariro National Park, this trail offers stunning natural beauty and opportunities for swimming. It's a perfect spot to immerse yourself in the serene surroundings of New Zealand's inner state while enjoying the beauty of Lower Falls Trail and Maple Ridge Visit Place.
Really nice trail and a beautiful area. There’s a handful of hilly spots and it is otherwise relatively flat. The trail itself is all gravel and is super clean and easy to walk along. It’s wide so there’s plenty of room for groups. You could probably do it in one hour. I took about 50min walking in one direction because I stopped a lot and looked at other side trails and took photos. The walk back was maybe 25min? I thought it would be a loop but ended up walking back in the same direction. Charming spot and I’d love to come back here.

Easy hike with gorgeous view of waterfall. Approx 1 hr round trip.

The parking lot is not that big. I would avoid it on a super busy/sunny weekend. The hike is easy. It is more of a walk in the forest. But the views and the falls at the end are very rewarding. Definitely recommend.

A very nice hike with kids! We went with our almost 5 year old and our newborn (in the carrier). Very flat and much to see. We even thought, we could have brought our Thule Stroller. On our way back we saw parents coming with one. We had two amazing hours exploring and admiring nature. We came on a Saturday morning at around 9:30/10 and didn’t have problems finding a parking spot. When we left the parking lot was pretty full. There were at least 2 toilets on the parking lot (the „easy“ ones) For our older one it was a super distance to walk. We are glad we did it. Oh, I don’t know if that’s new due to COVID but we needed a day pass that we could get online for free. Be sure to get it while you have a signal- later on at the trail we were offline.
Chrissi A — Google review
Easy trail.. slight elevation. Total gravel road. Good for all ages, strollers and dogs. Small parking space though. Plan to reach early. Falls beautiful only on dry days. Don’t miss the beach half way on the left, (15mins). Total trail till falls 40mins up and 30mins down. Crash at allouette lake picnic area on the way back (10mins drive).

Spray Park is a fantastic destination for families on sunny days. The park features multiple water sprays spread throughout the area, conveniently located near washrooms for easy dress changing. Additionally, there's a kids' park with various slides, swings, and monkey bars nearby to keep little ones entertained for hours. For adults seeking relaxation, there's a picnic area with benches near the amphitheater. However, some visitors note the lack of shade for parents.
Fun place to be with Kids on a Sunny day… multiple water sprays widely spread in the zone just closer to washrooms for dress changing. Secondly the kids park with all kinds of slides, swings and monkey bars etc just behind this Zone is added advantage to keep your kid busy for hours.. Adults can Rest besides on the picnic area (near amphi theatre) where we have few benches too… Overall great park in an awesome neighbourhood

Fantastic playground and splash park. Great for different age groups. There's even a volleyball area. There are some picnic tables and a newly renovated covered area with tables. We usually bring our popup tent and picnic blanket and find shade underneath the trees.
Jenna D — Google review
This a larger spray park that can accommodate a lot of kids. The water spray installations are not as creative/unique compared to other spray parks, but it is still a good place for kids to have fun. The water is pretty cold and the surface is pretty rough, but this is quite common in other spray parks, so not really a complaint about this park. It is better to wear some knee and elbow protection, and a head cap while playing here, just to protect your toddlers from any fall injuries and the cold water. The Washrooms were just a few steps away from the spray park and they were still open later in the evening, despite the Langley Events Centre itself being closed.
Ra M — Google review
Neat spray park but at least 15% of the water features were not working which was disappointing. It is all gated in which is nice and there are benches around the inside edges for people to sit and watch their kids play without getting wet themselves.

Visitors also appreciate the clean facilities and good customer service provided by WCE attendants.
It is small & beautiful train station. We visited this train station during the Christmas train visit at this station. This train started from far east of United state. It was worth visiting. Good amount of crowed, live music and beautiful train decorations. Parking was a bit issue, not much parking. We parked the car in residential zone but that was crowded as well.

At each stop, visitors are treated to free concerts while volunteers gather donations for local food banks, making it a heartwarming event focused on community support.
It was a little crowded but that was to be expected for the Holiday Train. Such lovely people and as always, a gorgeous train. It brings a lot of joy in such a dark time of the year. Great little farmers market supporting local. Would love to see more vendors, but otherwise, a decent selection of veggies, fruit, crafts etc (some are a tad pricey), sometimes different vendor selection on different days, lots of good shade, extra space around the park area. It's a nice little visit on a Saturday afternoon 😊
Miss S — Google review
We just moved to maple ridge and went to the farmers market for the first time in june 7th. I was so disappointed to see live musicians sitting, no playing because the pagoda was monopolized by a dj blasting the loudest rave music at noon on a Saturday. I know its pride month but as a trans person, i just want to go to a little community market without being accosted by rainbow marketing and queer overrepresentation. Just because we're gay doesn't mean we want to be raving all the time. The whole thing was maybe 15 overshopped artisan booths with at most maybe 2 fresh veggie booths and 30 sponsored booths for banks and phone companies... All rainbow coding. This is not what a farmers market should be. Go back to the roots, local farms, fresh foods, support local musicians have a few of them, have face painting. We couldnt spend more than 5 mins there before we were both way too overstimulated.

**Update, to add response to manager response to my review* We all know this won't change. I'm being told *by staff* this is something that has been done by these ladies for MANY years & there has been no correction up until this point. CLEARLY I do not foresee it ever happening, if this entitled behavior has been allowed to happen all these years by staff at your establishment. If you really want to make a change, then these individuals need to know & it needs to be enforced, thay they cannot do this any longer. This is not fair to those who had to stand there for 30 min only to be bullied out of our spot. Overall, I like this bingo hall, though I drive half hour to get to it. What I don't like is entitlement of players that go there. What's worse is that Chances Casino allows this. You should not be allowed to put books or dabbers on chairs in place where people stand to buy cards, as a way of saving a spot. I was unaware this is a thing that these regulars do every day & no one said anything to me while I stood at the front over 30 min. Only 5 min before cards sales sere to start a bunch of ladies approached me & told "You're behind all 10 of us that put our stuff on the chairs to save our spot in line, you need to ho to the back" As you can imagine that didn't go over well with me. What made me the angriest is that they all sat there and knew that I was standing in line for over 30 minutes waiting and didn't say a word to me then but waited until right before card sales to tell me to get in the back. Had they come to me kindly and said this is what we do we're always here blah blah blah I would have went and sat down. But because I stood there for 30 minutes I wasn't moving. As you can imagine this caused a little bit of a ruckus with the ladies having one of them even yell in my face saying "I hope you lose all your money today and don't win anything" I'm sure she probably felt a certain way, cuz I won 4x that day lol Anyways just PSA, if anyone wants to go to this bingo hall, do not stand at front thinking you're going to purchase your tickets 1st, because you will have a flock of vultures coming to attack you! This video was taken today to show what they do.

Barnston Island, located near Greater Vancouver, is a picturesque destination perfect for hiking and leisurely strolls. Accessible via the iconic Barnston Island Ferry, the journey offers stunning views of Parsons Channel and the Fraser River. This agricultural island in Surrey is ideal for cycling due to its flat terrain and minimal car traffic. Visitors can enjoy a rural experience with farms and scenic vistas of waterways, greenery, and farm animals.
A Hidden Gem in Surrey! Barnston Island is an absolute hidden gem! The experience starts with a charming free ferry ride that operates throughout the day, making the journey to the island itself an adventure. Once on the island, you are greeted with serene landscapes, lush greenery, and picturesque views of the Fraser River. It’s a perfect spot for cycling, picnicking, or just a peaceful walk to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The locals are friendly and the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing. Don’t miss visiting the Barnston Island Herb Farm for some unique finds. Highly recommend for a day trip!

It's a really nice little place. It only takes about 20 minutes to drive the whole perimeter of the island. It's mostly farmland but the people are very friendly & wave as they pass by. There's a "park" you can do a circuit walk around, it is nice though you can get close to the water and watch all the activity. The ferry ride is a fun bonus.
Marina B — Google review
Nice for a walk or to take the bicycle. However, anyone not living on the island, or not doing business with one of the businesses, should leave their cars on the mainland. I'm not too fond of these folks who do one or more rounds with their cars around the island and go home. If you don't come here to walk or bike, please stay away from the island.
Marc — Google review
I left here with so many questions lol. Ok, so the ferry is free and it can take up to four vehicles. When we docked off, we turned left and there is one road that makes a circle around this tiny island. I believe one side is farm land and not much homes and as we came to the other side of the island seems to be a reservation, there what seemed to be less then 20 homes. I didn’t see one human while driving, it’s very unique and a different experience but enjoyed it at the same time because it was quiet and untouched. Something like this makes me wonder why no billionaires haven’t bought the island and built a mansion on it, maybe it’s a protected land?? Idk

Beautiful island to walk or bike at. Seems to teleport you out of Surrey and it's an extra special gift if you get greeted by a native resident on one of the farms here. Nice views of water running with logs on it, greenery, farm animals and the golden ears bridge. One thing about the day we visited was that there were some mosquitoes there so I'd recommend preparation for that such as wearing full sleeves and repellant if you have blood that they like.

Easy hike very, easy to follow, and you can reach the waterfall in less than an hour. People even pull picnic carts. After 3:30pm there is no need for a day pass and there is plenty of parking. If you like to get wet, the waterfall is too powerful, fenced and with limited pools at the lower edge. However, close to the parking lot, under the bridge, there is a nice little beach with manageable current. You can also get your feet wet along the river.

Was easy to get to, I’m a beginner at hiking and found it fairly easy to get to, not too difficult. The end result at the waterfall is well worth it. There’s a couple places that have pools that you can swim in a little chilly but beautiful.

We had only planned to walk up to the lower falls yesterday (Friday), and when we got there, they were absolutely beautiful. The walk to the lower falls is flat, but the scenery is stunning. The mist from the waterfalls made it even more thrilling. After that, we decided to climb up to the upper falls and then to the viewpoint. The climb wasn’t difficult at all. We loved the viewpoint and spent about half an hour just sitting there, taking it all in. The trail was very quiet when we were heading up, we even spotted a small snake. On our way back, we saw about 7 or 8 other people. And there was plenty of parking.

This Golf Club is a beautiful and elegant spot that feels like a peaceful escape. The course is stunning—especially the iconic island green—and the grounds are always perfectly maintained. Beyond golf, the clubhouse, restaurants, and event spaces are just as impressive. It’s the kind of place where everything—from a casual round to a special event—feels thoughtfully done. Calm, classy, and consistently welcoming. One of my favorite places in the area.

Played this course last year as they do allow public sign ups for the course It was a good pretty course that was well kept. The only thing I'm not fan of is that for a private course to not have any sand in their bunkers...I mean at all...I had a green side bunker I was playing at, and hit the sand and just screamed and dropped my club as basically hit nothing but concrete and lucky my club didn't break If they were going to not have any sand in the bunkers, can they just make note of that at the shop (Westwood Plateau did the same) where it's lift, place and rake for the bunkers as they are not safe to play out of They also have a couple of public driving ranges, and those are fine but ya for a semi-private club, it's not worth it to me

The golf course is gentle and peaceful __ a space for my own rest , and a place where time with good friends feels even more precious The clubhouse menu offers variety, and every dish shows the chef’s craft and heart perfect for unwinding at the 19th hole. Thanks

We have been going to the fathers day buffet for the last three years, this year, they have clearly cut costs but haven't changed the price 60$ a plate, and they aren't even serving drinks. Even a cheap buffet, will have drink service and bring drinks to the table instead pre-poured water that was warm when we arrived for everyone. They sat us at an outdoor furniture that wobbles and all the food is soggy and tasteless. The seafood tastes like its from last week. All the service was lackluster. I could list everything we were disappointed in, but the list is too long. We ended up leaving without eating much. If we hadn't paid before, we would have walked out. Don't waste your money. It's clearly a cash grab, banking on previous years.

Played it for the first time in some years. The course is well laid out and the greens and fairways are in great shape. However, the bunkers are terrible. Absolutely no sand to work with, just hard pan off of which to bounce your club. Not sure why they don't either add some sand or do some deep power raking of some sort to loosen it up. The course deserves it and management could more easily justify the green fees.

Meadow Garden Golf offers an exceptional golfing experience that is sure to please both casual players and avid golf enthusiasts. From the moment you step onto the course, you'll be greeted by beautifully manicured fairways and lush greens that showcase the natural beauty of the surroundings. The course layout at Meadow Garden Golf is well-designed, providing a good balance of challenging holes and more forgiving ones. Each hole offers its own unique features and requires strategic shot-making to navigate the course successfully. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned golfer, you'll find the course engaging and enjoyable. The staff at Meadow Garden Golf is friendly, professional, and attentive. They go above and beyond to ensure that your experience is memorable and enjoyable. The facilities are well-maintained, including the clubhouse, pro shop, and practice areas. One of the standout features of Meadow Garden Golf is the stunning scenery. The course is situated in a picturesque location with sweeping views of rolling hills, majestic trees, and pristine water features. It's a true oasis for golfers seeking a peaceful and serene environment to play their favorite sport. Overall, Meadow Garden Golf is a top-notch golf destination that delivers on all fronts. With its well-maintained course, excellent service, and breathtaking scenery, it's an ideal choice for golfers of all skill levels. Whether you're looking for a challenging round or simply want to enjoy a relaxing day on the greens, Meadow Garden Golf won't disappoint.

Great setting . Overall great condition. But probably worst bunkers I’ve played in quite a long time, barely any sand in them and full of small rocks and pebbles. Playing partner actually damaged face of his club. We actually had a group decision to drop balls out of bunkers. Not quite sure why the quality of the bunkers are so poor, considering what the green fee price is

Cultus Lake Golf Club is a popular facility enjoyed by many, offering a great course for learning the sport. Although challenging for experienced golfers due to its narrow fairways, the beauty of the course makes it enjoyable even for non-golfers who can drive around in carts with a glass of wine from the restaurant. The driving range is excellent and provides snacks and drinks while players practice their swings.
Par 63 cut thru dense forest. Interesting layout for short course. Easily walkable. Great staff and 19th hole. Try the beef sliders and fish tacos.

We came here for Mother’s Day brunch. Because of the high demand we waited for 1hour for our breakfast. However, after we asked about why the waiting time was long, stuff was so fast to deliver our frustration and the manager came to our table and listened to us. It was so nice for being listened and the manager was so nice towards us. I totally understand that it was busy, and I can say that the food and stuff were amazing. View was so nice. Therefore, I cannot give even a 4.5 stars.

My wife and I truly enjoyed being a tourist in our own town, spending time at the beach and lunch at Legends. Service was fantastic, food amazing and so happy all around. Looking forward to another great day in the future!

The booking system is terrible. The person making the reservation has to pay for the entire group upfront and then collect money from everyone else. That’s ridiculous. If they're worried about no shows, just pre authorize the card like other courses do. Forcing guests to play accountant for their group takes away from the whole experience. It’s disappointing to see a decent course get bogged down by bad policies. Not in a rush to come back.
Mark C — Google review
Beautiful golf course but they need bathroom facilities besides a single porta potty on this course. Men were peeing in the bushes and the ladies in our group lost 2 holes of play driving to the clubhouse to use the bathroom! Ridiculous!! At least get another porta potty on 14 or 15!

I had the best time with Fraser Valley Adventures! I was there for a work retreat and we were taken great care of by AJ. He was flexible and accommodating to our needs as we were a large group! It was a perfect location to escape the busy city life. The ranch was beautiful, clean and beds were very comfortable. Can’t wait to go back!

We rented the 4-passenger SxS from AJ and had an amazing time with my friends for my birthday! I highly recommend Fraser Valley Adventures — the service was excellent and the team was incredibly friendly. Everything was prepared and ready to go when we arrived, making pickup quick and hassle-free. Just hooked up and hit the trail! Definitely a 5-star experience.

We had an incredible corporate retreat with BC Farm & Ranch, thanks to Fraser Valley Adventures! AJ and his team were professional, fun, and went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. The meals they served were absolutely delicious, and our whole group had an amazing time. Highly recommend!

I can not say enough great things about our time at the Cold Water Ranch with FV Adventures. I went with my work and had the best time team building. The house is fantastic and the services was above and beyond. I highly recommend reaching out for any corporate events or family reunions. We already booked for next year. ☀️

Cold Water Ranch is a true BC wholesome country gem! Our group of 12 just had a weekend that far exceeded our expectations! Not only did we enjoy wonderful accommodations in a beautiful 10 bedroom rancher with a dream kitchen situated on a magazine-worthy countryside, we experienced exhilarating outdoor adventures, family-style bonfires, delicious home cooked meals, and the most gracious hosts that made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The ranch was incredibly clean, comforting, and offered several areas for larger groups to convene, recuperate, or in our case, play games and laugh the night away. This is definitely the place to go for a quick getaway to make meaningful memories with your group! We are definitely booking our next get away and event here! Thank you AJ!

We had a wonderful time! One of the best days ever actually! AJ is an amazing person! He is the kinda guy you want to do this with! He stopped at the most beautiful places and took as many pictures of you as you wanted. The hot tubs were really amazing ( there are 3 hot tubs with different temperatures) and we were lucky that we were there alone. AJ made us also a great camp style lunch! Overall a super duper great experience and everyone who’s thinking about it should just do it!!

Not that I've had a lot of choices about going here but it's clean and has good sound. My daughter and son have their dance performances here every year and the facility is nice. Seats are comfortable enough. Bathrooms well maintained and lots of green room spaces.

Great experience coming here for my kid’s performance. Clear directions. Lots of parking. And seating is decent. Lighting is fantastic and sound is perfect.

Caue in the tech booth is a very helpful technician and a great listener. I enjoyed working alongside him at this theatre while filming. The theatre is intimate and there are no public washrooms. The sides of the walls are sounds treated and the lighting has lots of gorgeous options. Very professional staff and gorgeous space.

Clean but dated and appears to be falling appart slowly. Our event didn't have consession stand available. With outside food not being available, the audience blood sugar was low and not as energetic. The show by Simply Ballet was Great! But a bad theatre selection.

Mobile home park
I just bought my new home at that park. The entire park is so beautifully maintained and the homeowners are very friendly. Everything you need is easily accessible by foot. Just to name a few, you have Timmy's, RBC, Save on Foods, and many more which is only a five minute walk. The complex is for those who are 55+ and over.

Addresses are confusing, there is a map at the entrance. Very neat and clean, well kept yards and homes
N S — Google review
A resident there shared with me that the ground at a driveway is settling downward so much because of word that a very small creek-like watercourse runs along underground there. Outside of that issue, the area is really maintained and is a nice setting. 3.5 stars

This trailer park is on indigenous land. The manager is grossly misrepresenting the Tzeachten community and their values of family and community support. You know have you have done!! … Shame on you!!... Shame on you !!... Be warned and rethink moving into this park.

Very clean and laid out
Rev L — Google review
Would not recommend it. Park manager never available for questions from potential buyers/sellers. Can only assume present park home owners are also unable to contact their park manager. Park Management office always closed. Does not return phone calls/voicemail box always full, etc. Will not speak to potential buyers unless an offer is already on the table so no questions answered regarding restrictions (and there are many). Very inflexible. Wouldn't want to be an owner/seller as it is nearly impossible to attract potential buyers (only find out after offer is made that adult children not permitted to stay during summer holidays, adult children who are university students away from home can't come home for summer holidays, if owner is taken ill and needs care, only children over 45 years of age allowed to stay to care for them, etc.).
