Granville Island is a charming cultural and artistic hub in Vancouver, known for its daily public market featuring over 50 food vendors. The island underwent a major transformation in the 1970s, turning from a polluted industrial site into one of Vancouver's most beloved attractions. Visitors can explore artisan studios, cozy cafes, and a two-level kids market. The bustling public market offers an array of goods including fresh produce, local eats, crafts, and more.
We walked to the island from Kitsilano via the beach front, which is definitely worth doing, the island itself is very tourists driven, however it is also a popular shopping area, for locals, we loved just walking around taking it all in there are many galleries to enjoy as well as the souvenir shops. All in all wonderful experience.
V H — Google review
My experience at Granville Island was wonderful! They have a charming market that is very well-stocked with a great variety of products, including many delicious cheeses, fruits, patisserie and foods. I made sure to try their very famous and highly recommended soup. Honestly, it’s a must-visit spot. Plus, the whole neighborhood is incredibly beautiful and clean, making the area really pleasant."
Thamy S — Google review
Granville Island is a must-visit in Vancouver! This vibrant spot offers a mix of: - Fresh food at the Public Market - Local artisans and handmade crafts - Live street performers - Craft beers at Granville Island Brewing Co. - Stunning waterfront views A perfect blend of creativity, community, and fun. It is also a tourist trap
Blessing O — Google review
Granville Island is a unique spot with a lot of character, though my experience was a bit of a mixed bag. As someone with no sense of direction, I found the layout of the island a little challenging to navigate. The network of alleys, industrial-style buildings, and indoor/outdoor market spaces had me doing a few loops! The gloomy, overcast weather that day didn't help, casting a slightly subdued and industrial feel over the place. However, the heart of the island is undoubtedly the Public Market. It's a vibrant hub bursting with life, where I loved wandering past the fantastic food stands and unique artisan stores. The location right on the water is a major plus. Being next to the pier made it incredibly easy for us to take a scenic ferry ride directly to downtown Vancouver, which was a highlight. I arrived fairly early on a weekday, so it was much less crowded than I had anticipated. The downside was that several restaurants were still closed until nearer to noon.
Jayne Z — Google review
Most Visited It’s easy to see why this place draws so many people — it has that mix of light, sound, and life that just pulls you in. On a sunny day, the waterfront feels golden, with sailboats drifting past and music from the market carrying through the air. The outdoor shops are great for a slow wander, and inside the market there’s food from every corner of the world. And if you love cheese, the little cheese shop is a must.
Martin V — Google review
Sept. 19/25: Haven’t been here for a long time as parking is limited and all pay. It’s too bad because it’s definitely a tourist destination and I’m sure the many businesses would appreciate more parking. The public market is a draw with its vast array of everything gourmand, sights and sounds enticing. Lee’s Donuts is a big draw here, look up for the filled donuts as the brightly coloured iced donuts are displayed in front at people level. Fresh filled cappaletta, fresh basil, variety of cheeses and pastry was purchased. Everything looks very fresh but not light on the wallet.
DLH — Google review
A lot of unique shops and vendors. Most shops weren't open yet when we came so we couldn't explore much. People there are friendly and welcoming. Some were not. A lot of the souvenir items were pricer than other places in Vancouver.
EBS — Google review
Granville Island is a wonderful place to spend the day! It has a wide variety of shops, bakeries, and restaurants offering something for everyone. You’ll find everything from toys for kids and pet supplies to handmade jewelry, clothing, unique gifts, crafts, paintings, and more. It’s also home to several theaters, and there are always cultural events happening — like plays, dance performances, and live concerts. It’s a very complete and vibrant place, perfect for locals and tourists alike. Getting there is easy too — whether by car, bus, sea taxi, or even on foot.

Nestled within the stunning surroundings of Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium is a must-visit destination for families and marine enthusiasts alike. This beloved attraction offers an incredible opportunity to explore both local and exotic aquatic life, showcasing over 65,000 animals including playful sea otters, charming penguins, and majestic sea turtles. For more than six decades, it has been dedicated to education and conservation rather than flashy performances.
Great sea otter program by Vanessa! Super engaging and loved getting to know more about the otters. Also really enjoyed the seal feeding and getting to know more about the rescues! The entire aquarium was a blast, got to see so many amazing creatures, the pacific and tropical sections are beautiful. Highly recommend getting tickets online, and they have a great student discount. 10/10 would recommend for a great half day trip.
Jessica C — Google review
It's an excellent place to visit as long as it's not too busy. On the smaller side compared to other aquariums I've been to but there's lots of small exhibits for the animals they take care of. Definitely recommend visiting on a weekday to avoid the crowds, and if you live in the area, maybe consider buying a yearly membership as it pays for itself after 2-3 visits and the single day passes are very expensive.
Millie M — Google review
A fantastic experience! The staff were really friendly, there is a lot of variety of animals and things to see, plus the facts to each exhibit are really interesting and fun to read! The gift shops are really cool, it is really easy to buy too many things! I would love to visit again
Peter S — Google review
A decently sized aquarium. I would say you can expect to spend up to three hours here. Be sure to catch the Sea Lion show and the 4D movie. As for parking, I was able to get a great spot by arriving about 40 minutes before opening. They actually let us in before the official opening time, which was a nice bonus. I found the aquarium more memorable than the one in Seattle. Being situated inside Stanley Park is also a big plus. As a heads-up, if you’re visiting with multiple people, it may be more cost-effective to purchase a Platinum Membership rather than individual tickets.
Johnson — Google review
An impressive and well designed aquarium featuring a diverse collection of marine life and reptiles. While the building isn’t huge, it’s perfectly sized for an excellent experience where you can explore and learn about different kind of species from around the world.

Fantastic experience! The Vancouver Aquarium is beautifully maintained, educational, and full of incredible marine life. Perfect for families and ocean lovers. Parkind could be tricky on busy days. Plan ahead to spend time and watch every exibit without missing any.
Supun J — Google review
Loved the aquarium! Entrance wasn’t cheap but was able to spend several hours here, could easily spend the whole day here as there’s timed programs like the imax and the wet lab etc.
Maria J — Google review
Located inside Stanley Park, this is a nice aquarium with many animal species. There are many fishes that we had never seen before. Apart from the friendly seals, they don't have anything large or monstrous, if you are looking for that. They keep good care of the animals. Even nook & corners of the enclosures were being cleaned. We were a bit surprised that they are one of the largest as we were done with the tour within 2 to 3 hours, so it's not a day spend.

Nestled in the heart of Vancouver, Science World is a captivating destination for families and young explorers. This iconic geodesic dome is brimming with interactive science exhibits that cater to children from toddlers to early teens. With engaging displays like the ever-changing Medieval Mayhem and the permanent Eureka! physics gallery, kids can immerse themselves in hands-on learning experiences. The unique Kidspace area specifically designed for little ones aged 1-3 ensures even the youngest visitors have a place to play and discover.
Lots of fun, plenty of things to do to keep kids entertained. Could do with more hand sanitizer about the place because everyone is touching everything, but it's there if you know where to look for it. Pretty good food options too! You can get a stamp for re-entry if you'd prefer to have lunch elsewhere though.

This place was amazing 👏 So many hands on things to do. We went with an 8, 7, 6 & 3 year old, they all enjoyed a full afternoon there. Admittedly the adults also very much so enjoyed themselves. We went during the week so it wasn't busy at all, that was nice. Now we could have spent HOURS in the massive Lego area!! But I did move the children along 😆 We spent 3 hours, again when not busy that was the perfect amount of time. We've been to science museums in Winnipeg, Regina, and in the states, this so far was the best!
Helena N — Google review
in the summer they have science world after dark for adults with drinks, totally worth it but it’s just few days. it’s a great museum and has something for everyone. parking is sufficient and close, and outside you have park, playground and the false creek

I went to the Cirque Masquerade Ball Halloween Party held at/in Science World. At first, I was totally amazed that such an event could be held in the Science World, based on the size of the event. However, when I attended the event, I realized how big Science World facility truly is. It was a super-amazing venue that seemingly had no difficulty whatsoever to accommodate such a big event. It is such a beautiful facility that accomodated such a large event. I enjoyed meeting several new people, that were very friendly and outgoing similar to myself. I highly recommend it as an awesome place to go to events or venues. I look forward to attending more events that might be held there.

My family of 5 had a great time here. Spent almost 4 hours running around, and we didn't even make it to everything. We loved Molly of Denali, we did lego building, had lunch at Triple O's. The staff was friendly. I would say overall this was a great activity, looking forward to coming back
Raegan P — Google review
I had always heard great things about Vancouver’s Science World, so we came with high expectations — and it did not disappoint! The exhibits are fun, interactive, and educational. My son spent the whole day exploring with endless enthusiasm. A fantastic place for families with kids — highly recommended!
Grace L — Google review
Science World — the giant shiny golf ball that Vancouverites pretend is an educational hub but secretly visit just to poke buttons and spin wheels like overgrown toddlers. It’s a paradise for kids, sure — they run around with wide eyes and sticky hands, discovering the wonders of human anatomy and physics. Meanwhile, adults try to look intellectual while discreetly racing toy cars powered by wind turbines. The exhibits about the human body are fascinating — nothing like realizing how many ways your organs can betray you to make you appreciate science. Between the illusions, experiments, and the occasional “Did you know?” that makes you question your life choices, Science World is both enlightening and humbling. In short, it’s the perfect place to remind yourself that you don’t actually understand gravity as well as you thought you did.
Samuel M — Google review
A great interactive museum for kids under the age of 10. I would highly recommend to get a membership in your hometown because you will get in free. We bought a membership in Edmonton and reaped the benefits today (bypassed the large line and got in free).

Kitsilano Beach, also known as "Kits Beach," is a popular urban beach located in the trendy neighborhood of Kitsilano in Vancouver. It offers sandy shores, a playground, volleyball courts, and a large saltwater pool. The beach provides white-sand access to the ocean, along with amenities such as washroom and changeroom facilities, concessions, and lifeguards during the summer months.
Beautiful sandy beach perfect for spending an evening and watching the sunset. Can get crowded during peak hours, weekends, and holidays, but is still enjoyable. Occasionally there are vendors here.
Harry H — Google review
Nice beach, crowded during weekends in summer. Can be noisy with people that don't respect the noise by-law. Great if you like the crowd and noise like in Mexico beaches. Beautiful sunsets.
K. A — Google review
Kitsilano Beach is one of Vancouver’s most popular waterfront destinations. On sunny weekends, it fills up with both locals and visitors eager to enjoy everything it has to offer. It’s not just a place for a relaxing walk—many people come here to swim, surf, play beach volleyball, ride bikes, play tennis or basketball, jog, or simply enjoy the outdoors. There are several parking areas along the beach, and if you’d like to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the nearby rental stations. Picnic tables are available in various spots, so you’re welcome to bring your own food and enjoy a meal by the sea. There are also playgrounds for children and outdoor showers for rinsing off after a swim. Public restrooms are available for convenience. There are multiple ways to get to Kitsilano Beach, but let me share my own route—it’s quite simple. First, take the Canada Line to Olympic Village Station. Just outside the station, catch the #84 bus. Depending on traffic, the ride takes about 10–15 minutes. Get off at Yew Street. From there, walk straight down Yew Street—don’t turn anywhere—and it will lead you directly to Kitsilano Beach. A small tip: Even if it’s sunny, it can get windy at times, so bringing a light jacket might be a good idea.
Culinistanbul — Google review
Don’t be like us who didn’t see that you had to pay for parking. We didn’t see the sign and ran straight to the beach as soon as parked our car lol. It was worth it tho ($69 parking ticket). We loved it here, there is a basketball court and plenty of volleyball nets to play with. Sunset view is so nice, we sat on one of the logs scattered all over the beach. Would definitely come back and will pay for parking next time haha
Louise — Google review
Kitsilano Beach or as the locals call it "Kits Beach," is one of Vancouver’s most popular spots - and for good reason. The beach offers beautiful views of the mountains and downtown skyline, making it a great place to relax, watch the sunset, or go for a walk. The vibe is always lively, especially in the summer - lots of locals playing volleyball, jogging, picnicking, or just soaking up the sun. There’s a grassy area for lounging, a great walking path, bike path, and even an outdoor pool nearby. Restrooms are clean and have running water. One of the best spots in the city for people-watching, chilling, and enjoying nature with urban energy.
Aplih A — Google review
A popular waterfront beach near Vancouver. Great spot to chill, but try to avoid the busy season as it can be grossly busy. Dawn and dusk are the best times for the vibe. Midday...maybe, but real beach goers know it's dawn and dusk that are It. Pleasant sounds from the water, great breeze. Be mindful of any potential warnings of water quality.
Theos — Google review
A lovely stretch of golden sand that calm (but very cold water), lapping the shore, the beach area is very popular with locals, sun baking, and playing beach volley ball.
V H — Google review
Beautiful views, neat and clean, pleasant place to visit. Be considerate to enjoy and leave it clean. Lots of Canada Geese groups can be seen at close quarters, but be careful to maintain safe distance so as not to annoy them, they are capable of causing consideble annoyence in return. And in the last, quite picturesque place especially when sunny, so do remember to carry your heavier camera in place of clicking through phone only. You will be handsomely rewarded.

Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver offers a rugged-terrain forest with well-maintained trails, showcasing old-growth cedar and fir trees. Visitors can enjoy stunning city views and explore the conserved rainforest leading to the Point Atkinson Lighthouse. The area is known for its posh neighborhoods and scenic drives along Marine Drive, offering breathtaking coastal views. Additionally, the North Shore Mountains extend into West Vancouver, providing opportunities for summer activities in Cypress Provincial Park and winter sports during the colder months.
Beautiful and peaceful. It wasn’t crowded at all. You can take the #250 bus in the direction of Horseshoe Bay from Vancouver and get off at Beacon Lane for a short walk to the park and then there are a bunch of hikes through the forest and with views on the water, with the highlight being the light house (best seen from the west beach view). Highly recommend. The trails are very up and down and have stones/roots on the ground, so definitely watch your steps.
Elina R — Google review
Such a pretty view. The hike isn’t too bad, though it is steep at parts so kids may want to be carried at times. Can be pretty muddy on the small portions of the trail that aren’t paved. Beautiful view from the rocks up the steps, better view of the lighthouse below the housing units though.
Jake R — Google review
Lighthouse Park is a beautiful spot, and my daughter loves exploring the rocks that stretch into the ocean. The natural scenery is fantastic, but there are a couple of downsides. It would be great if visitors kept their dogs on a leash, as not everyone is comfortable around off-leash pets. Parking is a bit pricey, and it would also be a big improvement to have functional washrooms closer to the lighthouse itself.
Sergey S — Google review
Absolutely amazing park. Parking was easy to pay via your phone. Seemed to be plenty of parking. The boys loved bouldering around the shore. Can’t get super close to the lighthouse unless you ignore the sign like my young kids did. We didn’t get in trouble (seemed to be no one around), but just a warning for the parents out there the fence doesn’t continue on the east side of the lighthouse so it allows you to climb right onto the restricted area. Anyway, don’t think my boys are wanted in Canada and it is a wonderful park with great views.
Andrew B — Google review
A great place to get outdoors. Easy to get to if you're visiting the city like I was, and don't really have time to get out and explore. All of the trails were fairly short and manageable, although there were some with steep inclines and rocky, uneven bits. Beautiful views of the lighthouse and beaches, but my favorite was the old growth forests. A nice place to stretch the legs, probably even for those who aren't terribly outdoorsy.
Amira W — Google review
Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver is perfect for a day trip! The park offers multiple small and easy hikes with stunning views, especially at sunset. It’s an ideal spot for a picnic. Paid parking is available, and while there are no restrooms on the trails, you can find them at the parking lot. The park is pet-friendly, which is a bonus. Just remember to bring your own water and snacks, as there are no food or shops available on-site. Highly recommend for a peaceful outdoor escape!
Misbah P — Google review
Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver is a beautiful park with stunning views of the water and the Lions Gate Bridge. It's a great place for hiking, with trails that range from easy to moderate. The park is also home to some of the largest Douglas Fir trees in Greater Vancouver. Here's a quick rundown of what you can expect at Lighthouse Park: * Hiking trails: There are several trails to choose from, some of which lead to the lighthouse itself. The trails are well-maintained and easy to follow. * Views: The views from the park are truly breathtaking. You can see the Lions Gate Bridge, Vancouver Island, and the Coast Mountains. * Wildlife: Keep your eyes peeled for seals and whales in the water. * Lighthouse: The lighthouse is a beautiful sight and a popular photo spot. Overall, Lighthouse Park is a great place to spend a few hours enjoying the outdoors. Just be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring some water!
Deependra T — Google review
Parking is free, the trail park is flat with loose gravel, They also have flush washroom to use too. We notice that while walking in the park there is some informative details regarding the history of the old cabin/house,also the trees and the bird. We go down near the water but be careful going there specially when you have small kids. Its a family friendly/dog friendly park that must be visit. You can see the building and mountain in the nice clear weather. They have lots of trail to walk with to enjoy the nature. Worth it to visit.

The West Vancouver Centennial Seawalk offers an excellent route for jogging, allowing one to enjoy the soothing sound of waves crashing against the rocks without the need for headphones. It is a favored location for walking on any day, boasting breathtaking views and particularly stunning sunsets. The sea wall walk in this area is less crowded compared to the opposite side of the bridge, providing a more tranquil experience.
This is such a beautiful and spacious pathway .. I almost prefer it to the Stanley Park seawall. Come here during the sunset and won’t be disappointed. We usually park at Ambleside farmers market and walk all the way to the Beach House
Eddy S — Google review
I simply cannot find any word to describe this place. When you’re walking along the beach, you just couldn’t be upset, no matter what happened, you just feel so comfortable. Any random picture you take could be on the your home screen. The water temperature is OK to swim during the summer, there’s a lot of parking space at one end of the walk. You get to see the bridges Stanley Park, and always a lot of people boating, and big ships. Dogs are not permitted and so are bikes, but your dog could follow you just outside the fence if you trust them to do so. Nothing too special just a feeling of home.
Harry L — Google review
Nice place to take a stroll along the ocean. Paved with benches and resting places throughout. Watch for herons, seals, eagles and more. Great views of the Lions Gate bridge.
Christian J — Google review
My favorite place to walk in the world. It is never ever the same scenery as the ships are always moving and the seasons make the ambiance different all the time. It is a perfect 5km from Park Royal to a bit past Dundarave so 10km is an easy park, run and back. I have walked here early at 5am and as late as 1230am and it is super safe and well lit. I have been going here for over 25 years and it only keeps getting better.
James C — Google review
One of the best walks in Vancouver. This place has it all; astonishing views of the city, multiple restaurants nearby and a long seawalk near the ocean. It is also dog friendly.

In addition to the lively ambiance, there are various rides and souvenir shops to explore, making it a vibrant destination. Walking to or taking a ride share service is best since I didn't see any parking areas.

It is an Iconic landmark and a must-visit in Vancouver. Canada Place offers stunning views of the waterfront, mountains, and city skyline. The architecture is impressive, and it's a great spot for photos. Explore the shops, dine at one of the restaurants, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. Perfect for locals and tourists alike

Place du Canada is an impressively large and beautifully designed public space right in the heart of Vancouver. The area is open, welcoming, and very well laid out, making it easy to walk around and explore. It’s a truly pleasant attraction, whether you’re visiting for the first time or stopping by again. There’s always something happening here—events, activities, or just the natural buzz of people enjoying the space. It feels vibrant and full of life, yet still comfortable enough to relax and take in the surroundings. The mix of scenery, atmosphere, and things to do makes it a great place to spend some time. Overall, Place du Canada is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Vancouver.

The water front area . Ferry, station and many bus pick up place. Very nice views of water front and city. Tickets to many tourist attractions including Capilano suspension park, grouse mountain, etc., available

Canada Place is iconic and you’ll see the seaplanes, cruise ships and famed whale statue and Olympic Cauldron. Perfect place to walk along the harbor, shop and enjoy the many restaurants. It’s usually busy given that it is by the convention center and many cruise ships dock in the area. There is also a very fun ride, FlyOver Canada that will make you feel that you are actually flying, suspended in air with an aerial and jaw dropping views of Canada. Nice activity if it’s a rainy day.

What a beautiful clean port. Best i have ever been to. Safe, walkable, fantastic location. Can't wait to come back. Stayed at Fairfield Waterfront.

Last week was my first cruise and was pleasantly surprised how easy and efficient it was at Canada Place to drop off our luggage and proceed to get on board our ship. We walked by the day before our ship left to get a lay of the land (walking down toward the luggage drop off) and ended up taking an Uber the day of (overpackers, lol) and got down to the drop off very quickly.

The Vancouver Lookout, situated in the heart of the city at the top of Harbour Centre, offers a thrilling glass elevator ride to its 360-degree observation deck standing at 168 meters. From this vantage point, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of Vancouver's skyline, North Shore Mountains, Pacific Ocean, and English Bay. The attraction also boasts interactive exhibits that provide insights into the city's history, culture, and landmarks. Additionally, guests can visit the Armstrong Gallery featuring local artists' work.
Super interactive, exciting and fun experience! A must see in Vancouver. Beautiful sights of the city all around and lots of interesting, informative posts present showcasing the different attractions, monuments, green spaces and history of the city with some even outside of the city too! Also, when you go up the elevator to the main area you get to see the city through the windows which amplifies the experience.
Auranne — Google review
Such a great attraction this is! Family friendly, informative and absolutely stunning views. We loved the information cards placed right by the view. Children enjoyed this experience more than the adults. The staff were very well trained, they kept the facility spotless and well organized.

First time visit here as visited Vancouver couple times. Great view for 360 degree view of all the directions of the city, in a sunny day. Drawback is they will close before sunset, so you cannot come for a night view. But probably they are worried about the safety in downtown for that.
Peter L — Google review
That was sooo exciting when you go up in the very quick glass elevator about 130 meters high, or actually 168 meters above sea level! You can see all of Vancouver’s attractions from above. Inside, there are pictures of different Vancouver spots with their history, and there’s even a QR code you can scan to listen to the guide. Highly recommend it!
Neda F — Google review
We didn’t get time to go to grouse mountain so decided to do the lookout. Cost is approx $44 for two. It was ok. Not much atmosphere at the top but there are markers for each site/building etc. it was cool being in the elevator outside. I wouldn’t say it’s a must do.
Tracey G — Google review
The Vancouver Lookout definitely lives up to its name—you get a mostly great panoramic view of the entire city. It’s a beautiful way to get your bearings and take in the skyline, mountains, and water all at once. That said, the ticket prices are pretty steep for what is essentially a quick experience. I give them bonus points for the thoughtful touch of having stepstools for little kids so they can actually enjoy the view too. I’ve done it once and it was lovely—but at that price point, I don’t feel the need to do it again. Worth checking off your list, but maybe not a repeat visit.
Nazgol — Google review
If you’re a first-time visitor to Vancouver or keen on getting a quick, immersive city overview—especially with different lighting by day and night—the Vancouver Lookout is worth a stop. For seasoned locals or those watching the budget, you may choose to simply admire the skyline from street-level rooftops or nearby drinking spots.

Nature & Parks
Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver, British Columbia is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. This rocky swimming beach and scuba diving spot offers stunning mountain views and walking trails for visitors to explore. Situated along the rugged coastline of Howe Sound, the park provides opportunities for picnics, beach exploration, and underwater diving adventures.
This area is studded with small rocky islands covered in greenery, set among cobalt blue waters. While en-route from Vancouver to Whitehorse on our Northern Lights trip last year, we saw a glimpse of this area from the airplane. It looked absolutely magical. On the ground, it lived up to its view from the sky. We had budgeted 30 minutes here, landed up spending close to an hour. With a rather nice climb atop one of the gnarly looking island/hills near the shore, the views were amazing. This area is popular with scuba divers, so the underwater view must be even more beautiful!
Ashutosh T — Google review
This Park is quite small, and a lot of visitors were here on weekends. In my opinion, the road to this location is more picturesque and more interesting than the Whytecliff. You can find here playground, washrooms and parking, but not a cafe. Also, I recommend you visit Horseshoe Bay Park, which is located nearby. He has many nice café and really amazing views.

It is more than love ❤️ An amazing place to connect with Mother Nature. Love the rocks. Love the views. Love the trails. If you get lucky enough, you can see the seals.. so special feeling to hear their voices... ❤️

Nice small park with seals hanging out on the rocks. There's a good playground, concession, scenic view, and a beach area. The location is popular for scuba diving and even some rock climbing lessons. Overall a great park.
Daniel S — Google review
Beware: paid parking to park within the park grounds. Other than the paid parking, this park is great to walk around and enjoy the nature. We saw seals, a blue heron, divers with oxygen tanks, people on the big boulders, and tons of natural scenery. From the drive of the narrow roads to the parking lot, you can already see the breathtaking scenery at Whytecliff Park. Beach is rocky so wear proper shoes.
May Z — Google review
The park is very famous for its scenic rocky beaches hiking trails and underwater diving area. The park is located on the west side of Horseshoe Bay, covering an area of about 40 acres. The entire park is surrounded by water on three sides and is about 70 meters above sea level. Everyday dozens of diving, swimming, sunbathing, free climbing, sampan and kayak lovers gather here, yachts and sailboats as well. It is worthy of being a water park. There is a playground that children like in the park. Staggering along the rugged coastline, it takes about 2 hours, stepping on large and small pebbles, balancing your body, and it is full of joy. on the way, you can always see the blue sky and white clouds in the sky, the mountain scenery in the distance, the sailing boats in the blue ocean, and the divers near the sea from time to time surfaced. When the tide is low, you can climb on Islet Rock. I like to stand on it. It feels like the edge of the sky and the sea. The scenic mountainsand, passing yachts and sailboats and the beautiful white waves are drawn on the water offer you a spectacular views to enjoy. Seagulls hover in the air and sing. Breathing the warm breeze from the sea, it’s very pleasant. I love diving in the ocean, no gravity, no weight, absolute freedom, flying like an astronaut exploring a whole new plant
WILLIAM R — Google review
Nice place for a sunset. Beautiful view, you have to jump & climb over big rocks to reach the top of the cliff for a good viewing point. But it's worth it! Easy to reach, but parking is usually full. If you want to grab a nice place, go ahead of time. The parking is through a very narrow street - don't be worried that you're on the wrong side! There are more parking spots on the uphill side (follow the signs - maps didn't give us good directions).

Wow, what a place it is😍. The water, the breeze, the rocks and the trees, alll in alll a place that makes you feel better. The view points are astonishing 😀 Please do visit if you're considering it. You'll have fun there. I went there with my friends and we enjoyed it to the fullest. Rest rooms are available and also there's a water tap (though it's at odd place, hidden on the side). As time goes on, I have very mixed feelings about this gallery. It is the biggest one in the city but no student membership is available. I used to be a member, and can no longer afford it. The entry fee is exorbitant so I bought a year-long entry pass to make up for it... I also wonder about the curation. I liked the recent ceramics exhibit but that's because I love ceramics! I felt underwhelmed by the others. My previous visits ~4-5 years ago felt stronger than recent exhibits. Bring in more classical/traditional work, in addition to contemporary, to balance things out. I mean beyond Emily Carr (who is great but shown constantly).
Dean C — Google review
While I live near and visit Vancouver a lot, I hadn’t been to the Vancouver Art Gallery in almost 20 years. The cost to visit is rather high, given the size of the gallery. As a BC resident it was $29. We spent just over an hour visiting the 4 floors. The up escalators were all out of order at the time of visit, though there was an elevator for accessibility. The exhibits were well presented and maintained, though the building was super warm and lacked air flow. The Emily Carr exhibit was definitely the highlight for me.
Alyssa B — Google review
Visiting the art gallery for the first time was a truly wonderful experience. The exhibition featured a wide range of unique art pieces, including beautifully crafted pot sculptures in various styles and designs. I was especially fascinated by the ceramic sculptures, each one showcasing incredible detail and creativity. The gallery also displayed stunning paintings that captured different themes and cultures. Overall, it was an eye-opening experience that gave me a deeper appreciation for diverse forms of art and cultural expressions.

This is a nice gallery to visit if you have a couple of hours to spare while in town. It is a spacious place with exhibitions from different artists. The content changes during the year so it's good to keep an eye on the venue schedule. This venue is centrally located in downtown.
C T — Google review
I must confess that I found myself somewhat underwhelmed. The impressive architectural structure did not seem to house anything particularly captivating or noteworthy. The contemporary and conceptual art installations, while present, did not fully engage my interest. Consequently, I would only recommend a visit if one has already experienced all other attractions Vancouver has to offer.
Gayane G — Google review
It’s definitely a smaller gallery and pretty quick to experience, but I loved seeing Otani Workshop’s first NA solo exhibit! It is a bit pricey considering they don’t have permanent installations but still worth supporting and the staff are so sweet here!
Cynthia — Google review
Really wish I had read reviews before visiting this place. Someone else described it as one of the least inspiring art museums and I would strongly agree. What made it so much worse was the fact they closed the main stairs, forcing us in loops to get to tiny back stairs. Then, where there were escalators, half didnt work - so time to backtrack around the building through the depressing exhibits of a single barrel of hay. I understand artists suffer for their art - but must I suffer as well?

Known for its emphasis on farm-to-table cuisine, Salmon House serves up an array of delectable dishes such as Cedar Plank Salmon, sustainable Seafood Tower, and Dungeness Crab Cakes.
My girlfriend and I have been planing on going to check out the Seafood Tower as well as the view in the night time, over looking Vancouver and the harbor. Based on a co-workers suggestion. We were both absolutely satisfied with every aspect of our experience. Great service, calm and peaceful atmosphere. Gorgeous view of the city all lit up at night. And the value for what quality of the seafood!! OMG the Candied Salmon was amazing! The lobster tails were on point!! The feast bowl with Thai coconut broth with potatoes, muscles, clams and prawns and crab legs was better than I expected!! I highly recommend finishing the evening with the, recommended, Cheesecake Ravioli!! Another hit!! All around wonderful experience! Will definitely be coming. Back for round two 😋

We came here for NYE dinner! Fair priced set menu for a special evening at $125 per person! Bread, Starter, Main,Dessert and a glass of sparkling wine to toast with! The bread to start is delicious! I mean its chunks of bread with butter, you can’t go wrong! I had the Golden Beet Salad to start! DELICIOUS! I mean really really gorgeous in taste and presentation! Had the Ribs for main course and they were spectacular! The potato that it was nestled on top could have been warmer but the overall taste was delicious! The Lava Cake was not good, sadly! Dry…with no “lava” as one would anticipate with a classic lava cake! Service, Atmosphere and View- 100% on point! So wonderful! We were a party of 7 people and we all enjoyed our meals! It was a fantastic way to spend New Years together and such great value for a special occasion night!

The Museum of Vancouver, located in Vanier Park between Kitsilano Beach and Granville Island, offers a fascinating exploration of the city's history and issues. With a strong collection of First Nations art and artifacts, this independent, non-profit organization aims to deepen understanding through stories and shared experiences. Catering to sub-teens and teens, the museum provides insight into early Vancouver history, from its First Nations past to the neon light phase of the 1950s.
I visited the Museum of Vancouver and really enjoyed it! The exhibits were interesting, well-designed, and full of local history and culture. That said, I was expecting something a bit larger - I thought I’d spend half a day there, but in reality, it took me about 2 hours to see everything. Right next to the museum, there’s also the Maritime Museum, which could be a nice addition to your visit. After that, you can take the ferry to Granville Island - a great place to explore the public market and local restaurants, browse shops with handmade goods. Overall, a lovely and educational stop, just be prepared for a shorter visit than you might expect.

Interesting local museum! Lived in the lower mainland my whole life but visited for the first time as it was included with a book talk I attended. Really enjoyed it and learned many valuable things. I had visited previously as the price seemed a little steep for the size of the museum. However, it’s well curated and has some growing and meaningful Indigenous exhibits, which was great to see.

My Dad and I enjoyed our visit to the Museum of Vancouver. We learned so much about the history of the indigenous people of the area and the history of the city of Vancouver and the people that built and make up this vibrant city. The museum itself is laid out in a logical manner between the galleries and is accessible. The galleries are well researched and organized. The art and photographs displayed definitely are great points of references to learn more and understand better the city of Vancouver. This is an excellent museum for an visitor to Vancouver to explore!

A museum dedicated to the history and lifestyle of Vancouver city, it houses the items from yesteryears in chronically arranged way to give a peek of way of living in city through the periods. Entertaining and informative, recomoneded for choldrens and adults alike. There are vending machines downstairs but during my visit, none of them worked, taking payment but not dispensing and returning the amount. The desk was also not helpful in resolution, telling that if the item is not dispensed, the amount will surely refunded. There are no eateries around, nearest being 10~15 mins walk, so prepare accordingly. Also nearest public transport stops are 12 mins away. Parking is easy though. Washrooms are conveniently located and usable.

Came here as a tourist taking the bus. Arrived around 6pm today but found the walking path very dark that I wasn’t sure if there really was a museum in there. I still went through the path which is about an 11 min walk. As I reached the lobby, the vibe didn’t seem to be welcoming, lights dim, place looked old. Wasn’t sure if it’s worth the price, maybe if it was free I’d go. Anyway I decided not to, just walked back to the bus stop and called it a day.
Kymmy P — Google review
Good local history museum, with special exhibits on rotation (we were there for a "chairs" exhibit). Perhaps a touch pricey for the duration of the stay (this tipped me from 5 stars to 4), but we enjoyed it all the same.

This is an older building with a retro futuristic design like stepping into an architect’s vision of the future from decades ago. It’s very well maintained, and the planetarium dome experience is truly fantastic. The seats show a bit of wear, but nothing that affects the enjoyment. It’s a little pricey, yet absolutely worth visiting. Many people confuse the Dome with the Museum of Vancouver, but they’re not the same. They share the same building in Vanier Park, but the Museum of Vancouver occupies most of it, while the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre runs the planetarium inside the dome.

Best summer time spot ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ There's so much to do in the park. A dog park is really close to the main Ambleside park. Also there is a boat shed on one side of the park. It is full of joy during summer with kids and dogs playing around. The park is really close to the Lions gate bridge where you can enjoy sunrise and sunset. 🌇 Also you can get on a floating pier to enjoy being near water. Some people also do fishing here don't know if it's allowed. Also, some people like to surf and get on a kayak to enjoy the beauty of the sunset. There's one little cafe only open during the summer. One can definitely spend a beautiful evening there with friends and family for a BBQ evening and picnic.

A nice lovely place to spend time with family and friends. Suitable for Sandy Beach volleyball.. the scenery is really nice and soothing. the bad thing is that there are lots of cut down trees left in the shore for many years. Good sand Beach ⛱️ is not that huge but good enough for a few hrs to chill and relax .Seems to be popular with the locals .Was busy today as so hot 🔥 🥵 Other side of the beach has lots of seating and the beach is very rocky but more room to sit at. There are some spots that are shaded as well. The views make up for the beach.. across from Ambleside Park is Earls Restaurant on Ambelside . Was really busy around 6pm . Was a good day overall.👌

Summer here is a buzz of activity—think sun-kissed swimming, breezy sailing, and the irresistible aroma of barbecues. And let’s not overlook the highlight: the summer music festival. Picture this: last year, we grooved to live tunes for an incredible 12 days straight, and it didn’t cost a dime! When spring rolls around, the park transforms into a pastel paradise with cherry blossoms painting a picture-perfect scene. Oh, and for the golf enthusiasts, there’s a charming par 3 course waiting to test your skills. Come autumn, the park is a canvas of crimson and gold, with leaves that’ll make your heart skip a beat with their beauty.

The fire in the picture is part of Iranian tradition that before Persian new year people gather and celebrate the existence of fire in our lives and put negativity in fire to start new year positively by partying and jumping on top of small fire.

Cypress Provincial Park is a stunning recreational haven nestled in West Vancouver, British Columbia. This expansive park offers breathtaking views and a plethora of activities throughout the year. In warmer months, visitors can explore an array of hiking trails that wind through lush forests, perfect for both casual strolls and more challenging treks. As winter blankets the area in snow, Cypress transforms into a winter wonderland ideal for skiing and snowshoeing adventures.
Had an amazing time tubing at Cypress Provincial Park! The $29 pre-booking fee was absolutely worth it for a fun and thrilling adventure. The tubing lanes were well-maintained, and the staff ensured everything ran smoothly. Highly recommend it for a great winter activity!

The sunset in summer is a breath taking experience and especially if u can visit till the top. We only went till the road from where the downtown and whole Vancouver is visible. It's a quiet and peaceful place to be not just during summer. I'll visit it in the next snow to experience winter ❄️☃️ Also, the cypress park is a beauty to visit once.

Beautiful mountain hikes with some scenic lookouts. We unfortunately went while there were some smoke from forest fires, so visibility was not very good. But I will definitely be back some time after the smoke has cleared for another hike. Make sure you wear good boots as there are some steep sections and loose rocks.

Cypress Mountain in North Vancouver is a fantastic spot for outdoor enthusiasts. The trails are perfect for hiking (u see when entring) and skiing (on top), offering stunning views and well-maintained paths. The picnic areas (u can find flat areas for picnic n bbq in the middle, 10 to 15 minutes driving) are also great for a restful break in nature. Overall, it's a great destination for a day out in any season.

Mind blowing experience in the lap of nature . Playground available for short distance games or picnic spots. 🫡 Environment and freshness of air is majestic and magical here. Clouds were over the head and feels much closer at this place. Another favourite spot for ⛷️ ice skaters in winters till april. Washrooms are well maintained and clean. If i travel British Columbia again then will surely visit again.☺️😊

I’m living in lower mainland from last 4 years and heard lots about this place. But got a chance to visit 2-3 weeks ago. And it was a sudden plan. But we enjoyed alot. Unfortunately, coaster tickets were sold out. But scenic views from chaircar were amazing. And also tried a small hike for Yew lake, which is also beautiful.

Cypress Falls Park in West Vancouver, British Columbia is a popular destination for outdoor activities. The park features old-growth evergreen trees, hiking trails, and two picturesque waterfalls. Visitors can enjoy an hour and a half round trip hike on easy trails with some steep inclines. The Lower Falls can be viewed from a wooden bridge or accessed via a trail through the trees.
Our short hiking that really fit to my family in New Year day. I bring my mom (senior) and my 4years old. They really like it. Not too steep and perfect weather not make it too muddy. The falls so stunning. Water so clear too. Much hiker bring their furry baby too..

Our sunny Sunday adventure led us to Cypress Waterfalls in BC, and what a day it was! Hiking with friends was a blast, and this trail was just right – short, easy, and full of natural beauty. The round-trip to the falls spanning about 3 km made for a perfect hour-long trek. The highlight? The falls, of course! Nature's spectacle, the cascading water was a sight to behold. But what added magic to the hike was the small stream on the way back. We paused there for a lunch break, and the stream's vivid green hue was absolutely breathtaking. This trail isn't just about the falls; it's about the journey. The lush surroundings, chirping birds, and the serene atmosphere made the hike a memorable experience. Plus, taking a breather by that stunningly vibrant stream was a picture-perfect moment. Cypress Waterfalls is a gem for an easy yet enchanting hike amidst nature's splendor.

Amazing and beautiful. Good shoes is recommended as some places are very steep and rocky. People do walk with their dogs off leash. I had one dog almost bite me. God's creation is so AMAZING. I felt His presence here.

I felt like I was walking in a fairy forest. Peaceful and beautiful forest. A great place to relax to the sounds of the waterfalls. Moderate hike. Free parking lot. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place to visit. Unfortunately you cannot view the entire falls from the main path but you still get a treat view from the overlook. The forest is moist and unique.
Matthew M — Google review
Nice walk in less than an hour. The shaded path is great for summer. Some roots and uneven terrain, so it's better to wear hiking shoes to protect your ankles.
K Z — Google review
A great place to see a couple of waterfalls. The lower falls is a short walk from the parking area. The upper falls is a bit of a hike that takes about 30 minutes. After visiting the lower falls continue hiking up the hill and stay west of the river. Do not cross the wooden bridge. After about 20 minutes there will be a fence with a sign saying it is private property. Continue walking about 10-15 minutes. The upper falls is larger than the lower falls. After seeing the upper falls continue up hill to the road and just before the bridge, there is another trail near blue bollards leading to a twin falls just below the bridge. Then return to road and cross a bridge then return to lower falls via the other side of the river passing through some old growth forest.
E C — Google review
Nice short trail to get to a cute waterfall and river, beginners trail was perfect for someone trying to get into more hiking like myself and my dog enjoyed being able to smell all the nooks and crannies of the forest . Small parking lot but we went mid morning on a Wednesday so there lots of spots available, can’t imagine weekend parking would be easy. Softball diamond right at the beginning of the trail was also great for my dog to run a few laps before heading home . Wish there were more trail markers as there’s lots of random trails that I’d like to explore but wish I knew where they’d lead to before taking. Overall nice area for hiking

The Vancouver Seawall is a picturesque 14 to 17.5-mile waterfront path that winds through the heart of the city, including Stanley Park and various neighborhoods, parks, and beaches like Kitsilano Beach Park and Coal Harbor. It's perfect for couples looking for a scenic stroll or bike ride with plenty of opportunities to relax at nearby restaurants. This stone wall not only prevents erosion but also provides an uninterrupted pathway for walking, jogging, cycling, and skating along Vancouver's stunning natural landscape.
It doesn't matter if you are a tourist or a local for many years, going to the seawall for a walk, run or ride is always a nice experience. One of the best views of downtown, surrounded by nature and with good structure (available washrooms, some benches to relax and enjoy the view, parking lots, etc). I reccomend that you do the entirety of the seawall by bike at least once so that you can enjoy the different views and places, like downtown, north van, the mountains and the beaches.

Trail Series, Part 40 Running was never meant to be easy, so many runners choose a phrase to help motivate them. Some of my favorites include: “No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch”; “I don’t run to add days to my life, I run to add life to my days”; “The miracle isn’t that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start”; “My sport is your sport’s punishment”; “This isn’t sweat, it’s liquid awesome”; and “Do it for the post-run snack”. It was during a recent run along the Stanley Park Seawall Path in Vancouver, Canada, that I discovered a different motivational technique. Rather than repeating a single phrase to keep you going, how about excitedly striding from one motivational expression to another? You see as this trail winds itself around magnificent Stanley Park, it is replete with benches adorned with a seemingly endless number of deeply personal plaques that broadcast both remembrances and some pretty keen life advice. I stopped more than 150 times during my run and I’d estimate that I photographed only 50% of the benches that are available to enjoy. 🤯 My favorite plaques include: “What a beautiful difference one single life made”; “To the world you were just one, to me you were the world” 🥹; “She lived for those she loved, and those she loved remember”; “How small a part of time we share”; “People and places have touched me so, left a mark on my mind, heart & soul. Thank you Lord, it’s been a great ride”; “Loving Masterchef who taught how to savor the flavors of life”; and “Just a Godly man who so loved his four wonderful daughters”. This outstanding trail is approximately 6 miles long, flat, and entirely paved. It features numerous dramatic curves that create excitement to discover what might be revealed just around each corner. Those with mobility issues will find it extremely accommodating and a separate lane for cyclists creates a safe path for all outdoor enthusiasts. It is well traveled during the day, and although the buddy system is always recommended, it isn’t necessary in this instance. And that’s…Henry’s Take. #trailseries #stanleyparkseawallpath

This is the spot highly recommended to get the best downtown Vancouver skyline views from. The spot is easily accessible by foot, on bicycle, or by driving on a vehicle. The views both at sunrise, during the day, and at sunset are really worth the visit. There are quite a few other landmarks and attractions on this side of the Stanley Park as compared to the other side. A paid parking lot is close by, while on foot this point is barely a 15 minute walk from the closest bus stop. A must visit spot whenever in downtown Vancouver.

One of the best walks you can do in Vancouver! The Seawall offers stunning views of the ocean, mountains, and city skyline all in one. Great for walking, biking, or just taking it all in at your own pace. Peaceful, scenic, and perfect for all ages. Easy 5 stars!

The seawall is always a joy to explore—whether on foot, bike, or a casual jog. It features some of the most scenic views of downtown, framed by lush greenery and waterfront. The path is well-equipped with restrooms, benches, and parking, making it an easy and comfortable outing. I suggest biking the full loop at least once to take in the diverse views—cityscape, North Shore mountains, ocean, and beaches all in one ride.

Granville Island Public Market is a bustling indoor market offering a wide array of gourmet food stalls, artisan boutiques, restaurants, bars, and cafes. Situated near the Plaza of Nations, visitors can conveniently access the market via Aquabus or False Creek Ferries. The market's proximity to attractions like Science World museum and transportation hubs such as Yaletown-Roundhouse SkyTrain station makes it an ideal stop for both locals and tourists.
An iconic covered public market that is part of the tourist attractions around Vancouver city. The market has local vendors selling fresh farm produce, coffees, baked items, meat and fish, as well as some artistic works. There are also plenty of Chinese food shops. The market also has famous doughnut and coffee shops for which people are lining up. The market is quite large and can take up to an hour for browsing and shopping. The main activity around here is to get something to eat from these shops. The market can easily be accessed by car, or a more touristy way is to take the boat bus and small ferries from a lot of spots in Vancouver downtown. Highly recommend a visit to this market.

Granville Island Market is such a beautiful spot to explore, full of colors, fresh food and local art. It’s definitely expensive, so most people just walk around and enjoy the atmosphere rather than buying much. Still, it’s one of those places that feels worth visiting at least once.

An old industrial community has been renewed as a public market area! 1. If you wanna walk from BC downtown, Google map will play with you. It will say it will take only 15-20 mins to get there but it is only true if you are brave enough to jump off the bridge which is nearly 30m high. Take a bus, or rainbow ferry. 2.market offers small community of shops. Some good, some.... I would say ok. 3. Small food court is there but hard to find a seat so be quick about it if you do not have strong legs. This place is worth visiting especially knowing the history of it. Will be more crowded if you can access there from the bridge by walk without killing yourself.

It’s fun just walking through and taking it all in. The smells, the sounds, the mix of people all add to the experience. Great place to grab a bite, pick up something unique, or just enjoy the atmosphere by the water. Feels like a little world of its own.

Granville Island Public Market is a fantastic spot, especially for tourists looking to explore something unique. It offers a wide variety of specialty foods, fresh produce, local art, handmade crafts, and other one-of-a-kind items. As a local, I like to visit occasionally, either to see what's new or to bring friends visiting from abroad. The atmosphere is vibrant and enjoyable, though dining in the market can be a bit challenging. It’s often very crowded, especially during peak seasons like summer when cruise ships dock at Vancouver Waterfront, or around major holidays like Christmas and New Year. Finding a seat can be a bit of a dilemma. You're often stuck deciding whether to grab food first or find a place to sit. Parking is another downside. It’s expensive and limited. If you plan to stay for a while, public transit is definitely the better option. Despite a few inconveniences, it's a lively and memorable place that many people will find interesting and worth visiting.

I recently spent an afternoon exploring the marina area near Granville Island Public Market, and it was a wonderful experience. The marina is beautiful, with rows of sailboats and kayaks lined up against the sparkling water, creating a picturesque and relaxing scene. A great park space is nearby where people gather to sit on the grass, picnic, or just take in the view, perfect for unwinding on a sunny day. Granville Island Public Market is the real highlight. It offers a fantastic selection of fresh seafood, baked goods, and artisan products, making it an ideal spot for dinner or to stock up on unique treats. There are also plenty of little shops and galleries to browse through if you’re in the mood to shop for local crafts. If you’re looking for a bit of adventure, there are harbor cruises and even seal tours departing right from the marina, adding a fun and memorable experience to your visit. This area is a gem, full of vibrant energy, great food, and stunning scenery. Highly recommend spending an afternoon or evening here!

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, located in Vancouver's historic Chinatown neighborhood, is a serene urban park designed according to Taoist principles. Crafted by 53 Chinese master craftsmen, this garden is a replica of a classical Ming Dynasty Chinese scholars' garden and the first of its kind outside of China. The garden features carefully arranged water, plants, and rocks shipped from China to create an authentic experience.
Quiet & lovely garden in the center of the city. Scavenger hunt for kiddos, plenty of lush bamboo & maples, old bonsai trees & koi ponds. Cafe had neat original artwork for sale. Live classical Chinese musician played in the courtyard and incense wafted while we explored and played with the Buddha boards. Free tea samples and awesome gift shop. Definitely worth it. Easy location too, fun walking around Chinatown.

This is a beautiful and relaxing Classical Chinese Garden. We visited on a recent trip. It was $16 to enter as an adult. Inside we could enjoy the walk and relaxing atmosphere. They offered free tea and there was a room with a few traditional Chinese activities to learn or try. The Garden neighbours a park by almost the same name. The Park is free to enter, and if you were just looking for a taste of the experience, you could do that at no cost. The Garden looks over the pond that is shared by both the paid garden and the free park. Spent about 1 hour total between the 2. The exit is through a lovely gift shop.
Alyssa B — Google review
It’s a calm and pleasant spot in an otherwise noisy town, but since it’s part of an open-entry park, the house itself doesn’t really justify the ticket price. Inside you’ll only find some Chinese-style furniture—unclear whether authentic or just styled to look old—arranged in a very bare interior with an equally plain garden. If you’ve ever seen original Chinese homes, you’ll find this one strikingly empty; if you haven’t, it may give you a very basic idea of how they look. The most interesting moment had nothing to do with the house at all: I watched a heron catch a fish from the pond right in front of me. It was extraordinary, something I had never seen so close before. That alone was beautiful. Otherwise, don’t bother paying for the entrance. Just walk behind the statue and you’ll enter the park for free. Nothing inside is worth your time.

Visited June 2025. During our walk around Chinatown, we came across this garden. We walked through a store and out the back door and ended up here. This was a great surprise in an overall depressing situation in the area. The garden is very peaceful to walk around and take in nature right in the middle of the city.

Be aware when you order so-called “today’s special”. We were in the other day and were offered halibut for fish and chips. Fell for it and picked yam fries for extra $3. My cravings for some decent fish and chips became nothing but confusion, disbelief and frustration. When we got the bill, they charged $48 for halibut and yam fries. With cod and yam fries, it should’ve been $29.25. A whooping $18.75 difference for halibut instead of cod!!!!! Should’ve asked before we ordered. I had to ask the guy just to make sure they weren’t mistaken. Nope. All because I chose bloody halibut!! To top everything off, they failed to show generosity when they are charging their customer $18.75 extra- a piece of halibut literally looked like a shrimp tempura (Yup! It was that tiny!!!) Never going back here again 😡

Very friendly staff, nice vibe inside, patio, great tasting food. We’ll go back. 👍 Had two features: beet salad and grilled 4 cheese sandwich with soup. Regular menu: smoked salmon flatbread

Good food, quick service and great location. Menu was clearly marked with Gluten Free items. Sever was knowledgeable about cross contamination of food. Would visit here again next time.

This place is hidden in horseshoe bay. Has a modern flare fusion pub style .. the views are great and the service was awesome. The fusion is bold, but the basics feels underwhelmed, like the fish and chips. A 2 piece meal is a size of 2 chicken fingers, but they have a fusion take on it with tempura batter. Below is their korean sub / dog

One of my favourite restaurants in the north shore - the staff are always incredibly friendly and accommodating; it’s like coming home! The food has always been exceptional - whether it’s the mussels, the bibimbap, the salmon flatbread, the linguine pescatore (my fav) or their incredible soups - I’m always thrilled with what i get. The atmosphere is spot on for the neighborhood: port side cozy vibes. Bummed to see all these low reviews over the last while as they’re definitely not representative of this incredible north shore establishment.

Cypress Mountain is a premier year-round destination nestled in West Vancouver, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. In winter, it transforms into a snowy paradise, offering exceptional skiing and snowboarding experiences across its expansive 600 acres of skiable terrain. With runs suitable for all skill levels—from gentle slopes to challenging black diamond trails—it's an ideal spot for thrill-seekers looking to carve through fresh powder while soaking in breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the city below.
We visited this place in July 2025 and found unique experiences like scenic rides that offered breathtaking views. Even in the middle of summer, we found snow on the top of the mountain! Afterward, we had an eagle coaster ride, and my daughter asked to repeat it. We visited this place on a weekday and found it quite and nice. There weren’t many people, and the parking lot was huge. The service was fast and nice everywhere. The staff was always ready to assist you and truly cared about safety.

Visiting the mountain was a fantastic experience, filled with stunning views of the surrounding areas. The fresh air and beautiful scenery created a truly refreshing atmosphere, perfect for escaping the hustle of everyday life. Engaging in various outdoor activities, such as hiking and simply taking in the sights, made for an adventurous day. The well-maintained trails and facilities further enhanced the overall enjoyment of the visit. Overall, it's a wonderful place to spend time with loved ones and create lasting memories.

Cypress Mountain ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic year-round destination! In winter, the slopes are well-maintained with a good variety for beginners and advanced skiers alike. In the summer, the hiking trails offer some of the most stunning panoramic views in the area. Amenities are great, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Whether you’re here for skiing, snowboarding, hiking, or sightseeing, Cypress never disappoints.

The Vancouver Maritime Museum is a family-friendly destination that showcases the rich seafaring history of the Pacific Northwest and Arctic regions. Visitors can explore the RCMP Arctic St. Roch, which holds the distinction of being the first ship to navigate both ways through the perilous Northwest Passage and circumnavigate North America. The museum offers interactive displays where kids can engage in activities like driving a tug, operating an underwater robot, and dressing up as seafarers.
This is a great museum to explore and learn about Vancouver and general maritime history. There's an indoor playground, and some other interactive parts that make this a great museum to visit with children. It was fun to enter and explore a historical boat, and there was a lot of information to read and learn about the history. The interactive and guided knot making station was very interesting! Overall highly recommended visit for people of all ages.
Emily S — Google review
My first time here. Free admission today because of Family Day and glad we came. It is way more interesting and expansive a museum than it looks. I found it all to be very interesting. The wait to get onto the RCMP ship took a while even though we arrived only half-an-hour past opening, but it was worth it. The other display rooms past the gift shop are also worth checking out.
Sandra C — Google review
The Maritime museum is a good place to visit, it doesn’t take long it’s small. You can tour the St Roch, an RCMP schooner. There are lots of interesting displays and a kids play area. There is accessible parking with a ramp behind the building that leads to an accessible automatic door. There are toilets available.
Vanessa B — Google review
Wonderful way to spend a rainy day. Brought a 3 year old here and he had a blast. Great children’s area with amazing costumes, the large RCMP boat was a hit and steering a boat so much fun. Had to pull him away but the pirate eye patch helped get him out the door!
Barbara H — Google review
This would be my favourite museum out of the 3 in the that location. There was a lot more to see than I expected. Going onboard the St. Roch boat was really cool. If you like scale model boats you’ll be in heaven. They are incredible. Lots of things to interact with. Plenty of history to read. Absolutely loved it.
Craig H — Google review
A museum dedicated to seafaring equipment and life of soldiers or seamen. It includes a whole police (RCMP) patrolling boat named St. Roch deployed in active sea for 20 years, built in 1928 at Vancouver and having many firsts like circumnavigation around north america through panama canal and navigating the northwest passage in a single season in both directions along with being first to travel the northern deep water route. It has been declared national historical site. Apart from this, the museum houses numerous items of navigation and marine travel to give a glimpse of yesteryears as well modern times. Worth visiting, there is small setup to sell icecream and beverage inside. The ticket prices however are not justified, on Sundays you can enter on donation basis which could be cheaper.
Basant S — Google review
Fantastic place for people (especially children) who love all things to do with seafaring exploration! There are lots of interactive spaces, which certainly help kids engage and learn :) The highlight of the museum is definitely the massive RCMPolice St Roch!

H.R. MacMillan Space Centre is a museum in Vancouver that offers space-related games, hands-on exhibits, and a planetarium. The center features interactive exhibits designed especially for kids, allowing them to engage with various activities such as pushing buttons to understand sound in a vacuum and using computer simulations to dock a shuttle at a space station.
We've been here many times - always a great time! We saw the Tom Hanks and Pedro Pascal shows this evening. They were great.
Will A — Google review
Visiting the space centre on May the fourth was certainly a good choice! As a kid, this was one of my favourite field trip destinations and it definitely helped foster my love of all things space. If you come here with children, make sure to check out the shows! The downside: It is quite small and the exhibits are rather dated :(
Edith W — Google review
Loved the dome cinema and the presenter was very knowledgeable! The exhibition center was smaller than I expected and felt very focused on younger kids. Good combo with the maritime museum as they are very close to each other.
E V — Google review
It’s a fun spot for kids, especially the planetarium shows and hands on activities. But honestly, I expected more. A lot of the tech feels outdated things like the projectors and displays really need an upgrade. The place has so much potential, but it could use a refresh to make it more exciting for all ages.
Indika W — Google review
My friend and I attended the Pink Floyd 50th anniversary of dark side of the moon and it was an epic experience!!! 10/10. Go!! The sound system is incredible. Walking around afterwards it was sad to see how dated the building has become. So much could be done with this space to keep it modern and exciting. For example, the space centre would make a killing featuring albums of different artists in the dome, the sound system is sick. Also maybe open a bar? Beverages were advertised but we only found vending machines. There is alot of opportunity here, guess you just need to find a funder/fundraiser and someone with innovative ideas.
Kay G — Google review
This a good place to attend with children who are interested in science. Their dome theatre has now updated projectors with better quality and brightness than previous ones. The selection of movies is pretty good. They also have some good interactive shows. Giving 4 stars just because there is not much to do there except watching the shows, unfortunately. Check what shows are in the schedule to plan the visit accordingly. It makes complete sense to buy a membership if you are local as it includes unlimited visits during the year including unlimited movie tickets.
Sergiy B — Google review
I went to see Encounters in the Milky Way at The Dome, and it was amazing! I felt like a kid again on an elementary school field trip, but don't get me wrong- I think adults would enjoy this more. I only wish the show was longer (only 30 mins) as there were so many interesting points. The nice thing is that there isn't a bad seat in the place since everyone is reclined back and looking up- very relaxing. =D My only criticism is that a more organized line up outside the dome would be nice since it gets very crowded with everyone waiting to be seated beforehand. I'm already discussing going back to the next show with my friends.

Nestled in the vibrant Kitsilano neighborhood, Vanier Park is a picturesque destination that offers breathtaking views of both the ocean and Vancouver's skyline. This charming park is not just about stunning scenery; it’s also home to several cultural gems including the Museum of Vancouver, the H.R. MacMillan Space Sciences Centre, and the Vancouver Maritime Museum. Visitors can easily stroll between these attractions thanks to the park's flat terrain and accessible pathways.
Beautiful park all year round. The park is huge and spacious, there’s lots of room to fly kites or throw a ball. I’ve seen people do yoga, practice swordsmanship, boot camps and play live music among many other things. The city views are unbeatable and you can take a ferry across the inlet to downtown. The Museum of Vancouver and H.R. MacMillan Space Centre are in the park as well. Both are a genuinely good time and worth seeing.
Sean C — Google review
I have often visited this park, and almost always, I see a lot of geese and ducks (sometimes nearly a hundred birds) on the big green lawn and in the lake. In spring, little goslings and ducklings also appear there. But the most amazing thing is that a small lake near the Planetarium gets covered with white lilies in the summer.

Ambleside Beach in West Vancouver is a major community park offering various amenities and activities. The beach features sandy shores, a parking lot, and facilities such as concession stands, picnic tables, barbecues, and a playground. Visitors can also enjoy the coastal walking trail and nearby sports fields, duck pond, skate park, and tennis courts. Additionally, there's a 3.52-hectare off-leash dog area for furry companions to roam freely.
As a local guide, I can honestly say that this is a lovely place to bring friends, family, and especially Buddy the dog. I came here after a storm, and there was a lot of driftwood washed up onto the beach along with a small camping mattress, seat thing, it was in great condition and I consider bringing it home but didn’t have enough free hands so that was wearing mitts because of the cold. I hope somebody took it home and is sitting on it and the great outdoors as I type this. Here are some photos of the beach area

Ableside beach is very family oriented. You will see lots of kids playing around and there’s also a dog friendly off leach area. The playground for small kids is really fun too. The Boatshed restaurant is a good way to have a snack or ice cream, I find the prices to be a bit hight but you pay also for the convenience. There’s a washroom attached to it, a water fountain to fill up your bottle and a nice foot wash and shower station. There’s a lot of free parking but it will fill up fast in the morning, so get there early or you will have to wait for a while.

Love early morning strolls here, watching people ealk their dogs and people fishing. It's my go to beach before going to one of my nearby doctors. It feels safe, even when it's super early. The washrooms also open early which is a bonus. It's a shame they're making it paid parking this month however.

Whyte Lake Trail is part of a network of wilderness trails located near West Vancouver. It offers a peaceful escape from the sound of traffic, with birds singing and water babbling along the way. The trail is described as easy by some and moderate by others, but it's ultimately worth it regardless of difficulty level. Hikers are advised to bring snacks and water due to the lack of cell reception. The path can get muddy and uneven, so proper footwear is recommended.

Nice short hike! It took us less than 2 hours round trip. The lake at the end was calm and peaceful, with a few people swimming when we arrived. The trail is dog-friendly, but make sure to keep your dog on a leash. I’d rate this trail as easy to moderate. The most challenging part is right at the beginning—a steep gravel upslope. After that, it becomes much more manageable. There’s paid parking right at the trailhead, so it’s very easy to find. However, there are a couple of downsides. First, the pit toilet near the parking lot hasn’t been maintained well—it was pretty dirty. Second, parts of the wooden trail were broken in a few spots (I noticed 3 or 4), marked off with cones. They were still passable, but you do need to be careful. Very accessible and just a short drive from Vancouver. A great choice for a quick nature escape.

Great trail. About 30 minutes hike from trailhead to the lake for average adult. Not accessibility nor stroller friendly due to elevation changes. Quiet in early morning, an easy work out.

Very, very small art museum but it's free. Contemporary and historical art on display when I visited though it's clear that the exhibits rotate and change throughout the year. It was much less than half an hour to see everything, appreciate the art and enjoy.

Being out on the water was amazing, it was a gorgeous day and we went out with the boat at 5PM. The boat itself functioned fine but honestly, it felt a little…clunky? I didn’t fully trust the boat, basically. The safety training they gave us was absolutely laughable. It seems that they mostly employ teenagers who seem very disinterested and when we told them it was both of our first times out on a boat AND we don’t know how to swim, they gave us bare minimum instructions and sent us on our way. So…once you’re out on the water, you’re on your own and just hope for the best. If you’re experienced at boating then I’m sure you’ll be fine. They gave us life jackets but told us we didn’t have to wear them. Also, I would’ve loved if they gave us some suggestions on places we could check out since it was our first time in the area but they basically just told us where NOT to go.

I liked everything from the views and nature I enjoyed to the service and the boat itself. There was only one problem that one of the boat seats was entirely wet. Except that, everything else was great. They tell you themselves, but don't forget to take a photo of the boat specially from the propeller before boarding. Read the cancellation policy and other info on their website too. I suggest if you have the time go close to the end of the boundary at north. There you'll find the colour of the water different and so beautiful hard to explain. Don't expect to see whales out there within the boundary unless you get very lucky.

Rented speed boats from them several times over the past 3 years. Always have great service and they are always professional. Kay Meek is a lovely building with 2 theatres. There is parking along Mathers, plus a half-block away is the high school with a large parking lot. We saw an Everly Brothers tribute show. The sound was good and the seats were comfortable. The women’s washroom had quite a few stalls.

Over 100 North Vancouver high school musicians gathered on the stage for the finale of the school's year-end band concert. The almost 500-seat Grosvenor Theatre at Kay Meek Arts Centre offers comfort and great sightlines, so is a great place for this type of performance.

Sandy Cove Park is an ideal destination for a refreshing swim on a scorching day, offering ample space even during busy times. It's a picturesque location to escape the hustle and bustle, with occasional limitations on parking availability. The beach at this park is serene, well-maintained, and guarantees tranquility. The water here is exceptional and provides a delightful experience for visitors seeking relaxation.
It was a very beautiful cozy beach. It's a small spot for people to enjoy clean water for swimming or sitting to enjoy the sun.

A small park with a very nice pebble beach. It is very good place to hang out in the sun and enjoy a picnic. There is very limited parking on marine drive and rose street. Entrance is by staircase on either side of marine drive bridge on Rose Crescent. There is a public washroom with a grass area. The seclusion does add to the charm of the place.

This park is well maintained but accessing it can be challenging. There is limited parking, crossing Marine Drive can be risky as passing vehicles travel fast and have limited visibility. The old stairs leading from marine down to the path are steep and uneven. Definitely not suitable for folks with limited mobility. Water is often cold. Ambleside beach is a better choice.

Altamont Beach Park is a hidden gem, offering a rustic and scenic rocky beach with limited parking at the south main entrance. The rugged trails lead down to the beach, where visitors can enjoy stunning views of the shoreline around English Bay. While there are no public washrooms, the park provides an idyllic spot for picnics and relaxation on the large logs scattered around. It's perfect for leisurely walks and offers a perfect view for sunset.
Its a hideaway hidden rural rustic rocky beach. Its got a hiking trail starting from marine dr all the way down to the beach. Its got limited parking at south main entrance . Its got very rugged trails down to the beach once at the bottom of trail some climbing over logs to get to the rocky beach. Its like 98 %all rocky with the odd sand patch here or there type. Fyi Its got No public washrooms . Its got good views of the shoreline around . There are lots of big logs to sit on around . Its a good chill picnic beach .

A magical beach on West Vancouver's Golden Mile of Waterfront homes. Very rocky, wear special shoes, not a sandy beach. The official beach park on Park Lane.
Holly C — Google review
This is a small park with access to a beach with great views of English Bay. There is a few parking places beside Park Lane. The park is divided in to two parts. The lower part has a trail leading to the beach. The upper part above the train tracks have a tennis court in bad condition. The lower part with beach is the best part and is a nice place to relax. There is plenty of places to sit on logs.

Perfect view for sunset and perfect for walking around. It's is just only few blocks from Dundarave just walk by the road and there are many access going down the sea. You must try its nice to walk in the rock but just extra careful. Rock are slippery... Enjoy ❤️❤️
Jacque J — Google review
Beautiful rocky beach with pockets of sand just west of Dundarave in West Vancouver. At lower tides this beach allows to explore both rest and West for a few hundred metres in both directions. Parking is limited and the staircase is pretty steep.
Gareth R — Google review
Great secluded beach. Note: rocky beach, not sandy. Very rocky, like use a hiking stick to get to the water kind of rocky. Hard to walk out to water with shoes and even harded barefoot. Limited parking on closest street at the top of the beach and a short hike (with wide easy stairs) down to the beach. Small beach as the north and south ends to private property. No dogs or fires allowed. Great views of Vancouver and best of all, very quiet. An old timer told me he's been coming for 25yrs and someone used to move the rocks to make access to water easier but that stopped years ago. Maybe if we all pitch in it will become more accessible. You have to balance on the rocks getting into the water and some are slippery and others are covered with sharp barnacles that could puncture thin skin. The water is a little murky and rather warm by the shore line and cooler as you go out. Occasional cruise and cargo ships passing by about 1km out, horns audible. Overall a pleasant and private experience despite the rocky beach.

Stanley Park in Vancouver is truly a wonderful place. The park is still very densely forested. If you look at the area from the sky you would think that it was a woodland rather than the urban park space it has evolved to become. We did the full walk along the Stanley Park Seawall. We started at the rowing club and walked the full perimeter cutting in by the Lost Lagoon at the end to get back to our starting point. Along the way there were some amazing cityscape views of Vancouver as you will see pictured here. All in all, we did over 7 miles of walking and it took us about 3 hours as we didn’t want to rush it. On the final part of the walk and as a result of us navigating around the lagoon, we came across the Rose Garden at Stanley Park, which had some magnificent blooms.

Vancouver Public Library, Central Library, is a grand architectural marvel with a colonnaded surround reminiscent of a Roman amphitheater. It's the third largest library in Canada and boasts an impressive collection of 9.5 million items borrowed annually, including books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, genealogy records, local history books, and more. The building's design by Safdie Architects is striking and has been featured in Hollywood films.
If you’re from out of town , the ability to check out books from this 9 story building filled with books, multi faith prayer room, computers , board games, puzzles , roof top gardens will be yours for a small fee. It’s surrounded by little small shops harboring coffee and snacks . It’s clean and bright with super friendly staff. Best theme park . No wait for the escalators !

The library is such a beautiful building, with little shops inside selling stationery. These are quite a few people coming and going, but what I love most is the glass roof, as the natural light makes the whole space feel so bright and airy

Beautiful and dated at once. It feels like a university library and has many areas where to work quietly. The children's library is undergoing a massive renovation, but you can still borrow children's books and attend events and workshops. An old-fashioned cardex can still be consulted. And there are information boards throughout the library for different communities.

I Never had this option when I was growing up here in Vancouver. They have an excellent kids section. Dinosaurs 🦕 are so interesting! The also have international books, magazines or other media. I thank the owners for these options. I thank God for these blessings ✝️.. This review was written in 2025, which is after the COVID-19 pandemic but people exposed to the COVID-19 virus may have developed something called long-covid whereby a person could collapse, experience fatigue, confusion, dizziness and other symptoms. Drinking alcohol makes the symptoms worse. Drinking caffeine after 5 pm (soda pop, tea, coffee, caffeinated energy drinks) will disrupt your sleep and also make your symptoms worse. Symptoms vary as well as intensity. I have spoken to teenagers and seniors or co-workers that had or have long covid. An indicator is if you have difficulty counting backwards from 100. If you cannot do it or struggle counting backwards, you might have long covid. Do an internet search regarding long covid in your location to find out how long covid could impact you or a loved one. Ask your pharmacist or doctor. There are tourists that visit here so verify in your own locality. If you have troubles and no one to turn to remember that Jesus ❤ you! You can also lean on God. Ask G

Spanish Banks Beach is a bustling sandy beach that offers tidal flats for skimboarders and kitesurfers, as well as volleyball courts. It's quieter than other nearby beaches due to its residential location, making it an optimal place for picnics with unreal views over the water and city skyline. The Seawall stretches along the long beach, providing an ideal setting for a quiet stroll with seagulls and sailboats in the backdrop.
Large beach spot, doesn’t usually get too busy. Can always find a spot to seat even on a hot weekend in the summer. This beach does get significantly more windy than kits, so if it’s not very hot could be a bit chilly. The bigger challenge with this beach is finding parking at peak hours in the weekend, would recommend to get here before 11AM to find a spot. This beach is not as transit accessible at Kits, it’s a much longer walk from the nearest bus stop. There are good washrooms and multiple concession stands on this stretch of beach. This is a popular spot for volleyball and families. You have a very 180 degree view on this beach, can see downtown Vancouver and all the mountains across the water. Highly would recommend if you have a car. Parking near the beach is max 2 hours and pricing is pretty reasonable.

One of the neater beaches I've been to. There's sand and rocky sections, eastwards and westwards, respectfully. Perfect spot to relax and hear the ebbs of the tide at dawn and dusk. Spanish Banks stretches quite far, directly with Point Grey Beach. Great walking space as well. If you opt to sit on the large rocks, move slowly. They can be loose enough that the weight of a person can make them shift or completely roll. Mind your steps.

We are pleased to present The Mayan Dress Code: Legacy and Continuity in Chiapas, Mexico, an exhibition combining textiles from Chiapas with photography by Cisco Dietz showcasing the artisans and Maya people, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Mexico. Textiles have been part of a complex communication system through different cultures. Clothing forms part of women´s regional identity in the Mayan area, where each indigenous group has a distinctive dress, colours and intricate designs that adorn the blouses, or huipiles. Dressing is a form of identification and identity among Maya women and those characteristics are distinctive between towns in the Maya region. This exhibition features textiles, both traditional and modern, and photographs of contemporary Maya people of Chiapas, Mexico. "

Great park in Horseshoe Bay, with spectacular views! You can gaze at the majestic mountains, watch a BC Ferries vessel coming into dock, and admire the coastal village all while going for a stroll. There are activities for kids, and there are ways to get down onto the beach to get closer to the water. On a clear, sunny summer day, you’d be able to see so much from here. One of the must-visit places of Vancouver!

Horseshoe Bay park is a must stop just find time before or after your ferry to enjoy the bay and restaurants in the village. Its amazing. Parking can be hard to find, there is free parking on the streets its time limited. Ample washroom near playground. There is playground to keep kids occupied. The view of the ferries going in/out. The trail around the bay has great view points and lots of benches, there are shaded picnic tables and the view of condos at the bay is great. Check out videos & images & follow for more.

It was a wonderful experience walking around the area. So peaceful and clean! There's even nice sand pit for kids who loves playing sand without getting wet.

I traveled by ferry from Horseshoe Bay a few times before. Finally, I found time just walking in this Park. It was the right decision because I got a lot of positive emotions. The views are really wonderful, especially from the left side of the bay. With a high probability, you can see sea mammals who like to lie on the pier boards. It's a very cozy location!

Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver is a hidden gem that captivates with its stunning waterfront views and charming village vibe. The ferry terminal adds a unique aspect, connecting visitors to Vancouver Island and beyond. I enjoyed exploring the quaint shops and restaurants. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing day or a scenic getaway!

Beautiful park by the water where you can view the ferries come in and out of the harbour. There is a playground for kids as well as washroom facilities. Be aware of the goose poop everywhere though. You can walk down to the rocky beach area. Near to the restaurants and cafes.

The park is closed for the renovation in May. Hopefully, it is a better park later since it will be very busy in summer. We go for the ferry but we have time strolling around. It's a good area for tourists even you don't go for ferry. There are many parking, restaurants and coffee shops as well. It's a small village but good for a walk. The water view is nice too.

This is such a stunning park! We went boating and then bought some sandwiches so we could sit at one of the park benches and eat. Really enjoyed our time, it was super peaceful and just so calming being by the water. Gorgeous views! There’s a little playground for kids as well. What I really liked is that the park benches are away from the playground area so that you can actually enjoy some peace and quiet without any screaming kids ruining the vibe, lol. The bathrooms were closed because they’re under maintenance - which is a little annoying but I’m sure they’ll be back up and running again soon.

Hiking Trails
The Baden Powell Trail is a beautiful and challenging hiking trail that spans 30 miles through lush, wooded terrain. Hikers can enjoy mountain-peak views and water crossings while getting in a good amount of cardio. The trail offers intermediate difficulty, with some steep areas but the effort is worth it for the breathtaking views at the top. More signages could be helpful to guide hikers along the way.
We really enjoyed our walk on the Baden Powell Trail. The terrain was relatively flat. We took our time and enjoyed nature's display while many people were walking past us. We really loved the views and nature's artwork display. There's a brook later in the trail which we really enjoyed as well. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend the trail for anyone looking for an outdoor activity.

Very nice trail, it's not too challenging. I would recommend good pair of shoes or minimum close toe. There are couple of slippery areas. During certain times of the day the trail gets overly packed. With too much foot traffic it gets hard to navigate. The view at the end is breath taking beautiful.

It was still a bit snowy when I went in the end of February so I recommend getting hiking shoes. I went super early at 6am and was the second one on the trail. It is a pretty easy hike if you have proper shoes and during the warmer seasons. I love the view and the little streams of water and bridges that you pass by during the hike. Definitely recommend going earlier to avoid the hoards of people and dogs.

Love it. Been on most parts of it at various times of the day. Well kept. Can challenge yourself. Take bear spray at this time of the year. Off leash dogs can be annoying when they're not under full control like they should be, but most people try, however have had a couple run-ins, and some days it's tiresome with so many of them. I love dogs I just don't like having to be on guard the whole time for my dogs due to irresponsible walkers/owners.

This is a good hiking start for beginners. You can choose to do advance trails as well or just chill on the simple one. The parking is closed for the location due to weather concerns, so we had to park a block before and climb up the main road towards starting point. There are no other parking spots near the site (expect for vehicles with special permits). You don't get a view at the end of the hike but nice little waterfalls along the way.

Well maintained trail with moderate intensity, about 1.5 to 2 hours to the Quarry rock and back, with stairs, trails and more. Great 1 day getaway trip for the family as the surrounding areas are family friendly. Parking can be difficult but it is well marked where you can and can't park. Suggest to go there early, we arrived around 9:30 parking was not a problem, cars lined up as we leaving around noon. Great view from the Quarry rock, it's a open area with no fence so use common sense at the of the rock. I've seen people flying drones there and no sign saying you can't, looks very fun.

Well maintained trail and easy to trek. Accessed from Indian Mountain Drive, as Deep Cove entrance is closed due to Covid. No snow but lots of muddy spots.

We've all heard of Glamping, well this hike was like #gliking with all the wooden stairs that were built through the forest. Don't get me wrong there's still lots of areas where you need to walk over tree roots, but the stairs are a work of great craftsmanship. Beautiful view at the end.
