Maison du Bootlegger is a lively steakhouse located in an 1860s house that offers guided tours and live rock & roll shows. The restaurant provides a unique experience, taking visitors back to the Prohibition era with its mysterious house and labyrinth. It serves mouthwatering dishes, including the best steak in town, along with wine and beer. Guests can also enjoy live entertainment and guided tours of the historic house.
What a cool experience! Steak was very good, as was the desert. The charm is visiting this unique "home" from the prohibition era transformed into a restaurant. Unique corridors, hidden rooms, and even the dance area itself was easily "hidden" when needed. It even has a connection to Elvis.. well worth the visit
Telah M — Google review
The steak itself was okey, nothing mind blowing, especially for the price. The salad, dessert and the mocktail were pretty good tho. The house was interesting to visit.
Arwing — Google review
Today we visited the hidden rooms of this Prohibition-era house. It's fabulous! Don't ever miss it!!! Thanks to Dave for being our guide and sharing the history and behind-the-scenes of the Maison Du Bootlegger. A huge thank you to the owner, Johanne, a wonderful and lovely woman, who has brought this house back to life. Here you can eat, drink, visit, and dance to the sound of rock music! (Her dog, Priscilla, is so beautiful too) Johanne, thank you for this experience. Unfortunately, we didn't eat or drink... next time we come back to Quebec! Johanne, we look forward to seeing you in Milan!!!

Very cool spot. Food was great. Evening was awesome. Music was fun. Took a little long to get served, but was worth the wait.

Wow!!! This was an experience we never expected. My wife and I were roadtipping for our 20th anniversary, heading out to see the whales. Looking for some good food I stumbled apon this crazy must visit establishment. (So did Elvis) We do not speak a lick of french, we relied to make a reso but we could only get 6pm and we were not going to make it on time. So we just showed up at 630. Downstairs (main entrance) I asked for a ta le for 2. I was told NO. I asked how long... No . Okay so we were about to leave and I said let me just poke my head up. Lucky me I was able to get the last 2 seats. Not realizing it was dinner, tour and a show. Well... we ate (very well) open fire stakes and ribs!!! The we had an awsome tour ( all in French) but we laughed when we were told to. At the end our tour guide gave us an independent coles notes in English. We were so happy we got a table. It turned out to be a highlight for sure. We highly recommend this prohibition style establishment.
Nick V — Google review
What a great experience!! The food was all right, nothing spectacular. The ambiance was lively. The guided tour was entertaining and interesting . Our waitress, Linda, by far made the visit even more memorable. Such a wonderful and kind person!
Josée S — Google review
We had an amazing time!!! You really really need to go here!!! Everything, from the drinks to the appetizers to the main course to the desert... entertainment and tour of the house! I'm in awe!!! Splurge on the baby back ribs!! Like DO NOT PASS the opportunity to savor the best, fall off the bone, tasty, home cooked, heavenly Baby back ribs!!!! I had the venison and am sooooo picky on the freshness and cooking time. It was perfect 🥰 like melt in my mouth perfect!! Desert was yummy and my French kiss and night cap crowned everything perfectly 🥰 💞
Steph R — Google review
Very historical location, we had a tours around the house, back to the prohibition, good service with Sarah we recommend, so fun we had there with live band, dancing & singing 🎶 🎵 and funny hat provided by resturant that makes ambiance very extraordinary 🤪🤣🤩

The Gardens of Quatre-Vents in La Malbaie, Quebec, is a vast and enchanting privately-owned garden that offers a captivating experience to visitors. With its diverse thematic layouts, extensive variety of plant species, and intricate sculptures set against the backdrop of rural Quebec, this garden is truly mesmerizing. The well-maintained lawns and panoramic views add to the allure of this beautiful destination.
A private garden, owned by the Cabot family, is only open a few times a year. We were lucky to get space on the English tour. Book early. The English style gardens, consisting of mostly Thuja occidentalis, precisely clipped into tight hedges, an exquisite Japanese garden and tea house. Water cleverly flows through the garden in delightful ways. Statues peek through openings on a long axis to invite exploration through the various “rooms”.
Kitz W — Google review
Beautiful serene space. Thoughtful construction. So wonderful that the Cabot family has allowed public access to their grounds. Great that proceeds from the tour are used for ecological education for young people in Charlevoix area. We enjoyed another bout of spring due to cooler temps and found flowers just emerging that had long finished in my home area olin Ontario. Loved it. Willvisit again.
Rita F — Google review
This is fabulous. Only open four days a year with signups in February. Watch the documentary on Netflix and then sign up. Not to be missed.
Bart R — Google review
This is a PRIVATE home and a PRIVATE garden and we were so thankful to the Cabots for sharing it with the public 4 days each year. We were able to purchase tickets online the day they became available and plan an entire vacation around this one garden visit. It was absolutely worth the 30 hour round trip drive to experience it in person. It is so great that the funds raised from ticket sales go directly back into the community to fund the Port-au-Saumon Ecological Center summer Camp Program!
A H — Google review
Beautiful and well designed and maintained garden. We went in August for the English tour. They have overbooked the year before when they opened their website for reservations and were flooded with requests. So their tours were running back to back. I wish they would have let us roam around some areas freely a little longer but because of the tightness of the schedule around many tours they had to move from one area to the next to free it for the next group. We still had a wonderful time. Weather was perfect. The Japanese gardens were a delight.
Bibi A — Google review
I'm giving a 5-Star review just based on the documentary. And also because it's the only way to comment on the ignorance of the 1-Star raters who seem incapable of grasping the concept of PRIVATE PROPERTY. Instead of gratitude that the garden is open four weekends a year, they complain about it, clearly not understanding the concept. I can't wait to visit.
Todd L — Google review
This is as good as it gets in the gardening world. The extent and variety of plantings/settings is fabulous.

Pains D'exclamation is an artisanal bakery located in the heart of La Malbaie, offering a delightful selection of pastries, sandwiches, soups, salads, and coffee. The bakery is praised for its exceptional breads that are both crispy and flaky. Visitors can choose to dine in or take out their delectable treats. Customers have raved about the welcoming staff and the quality of items such as fondant au chocolat and croissants at reasonable prices.
Our last meal before our long drive back to Massachusetts. Young woman at counter spoke perfect English for us (although menu is also in English), I had the largest thing on the menu and wasn't the slightest bit hungry until late at night...croissant French Toast with bacon, ham, and cheese.
Brian G — Google review
We stopped one day to get some sandwiches for lunch, then returned the next day to try the breakfast. It was all very tasty, but I think a bit expensive (we aren't local so not sure how much things should cost!) They weren't able to make up a roll with no cheese when we asked, we were just told we could "take the cheese out". The other rolls we got were delicious, as was the quiche. We had the 'quebecoise' breakfast, which was delicious, and we ate out on the terrace which was beautiful, but it came to $75 for 2 people once we had added drinks. Not cheap, but very tasty.
Carol N — Google review
Great place to stop if you're traveling along the north shore of the St. Lawrence. I can always tell when a place is managed and run by people who love what they do. And they really love what they do. Busy. Tables inside and a patio. Good breakfast food and deserts!
Hallam C — Google review
We loved this place! We visited twice during our weekend stay, and would have visited a third time, but they were closed on Monday! The staff was fantastic and very welcoming. We ordered an assortment of coffees and pastries (fondant au chocolat, croissant) as well as a loaf of their basic white bread. We loved all the items and found they were very well priced for the quality! We'd love to visit again on our next visit. Well done!
Meghan — Google review
We went multiple times for breakfast while in La Malbaie because it was just so good. We really loved the croissant du fromage and the brioche aux framboise! Outdoor seating is nice, too.
Rebecca F — Google review
What a great place! We stayed at the Fairmount and we wanted to discover a little bit of the area and it’s restaurant/bakery. I was glad that I went to this place. BEST COFFEE AROUND AND THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a place where you can start your day with an amazing coffee!
Rayan G — Google review
Initially we went to McDonald's but walk-in was closed and there was a long queue at the drive-thru. So we found this very delightful bakery and restaurant. Their breakfast was excellent. We drank our hot drinks out of bowls which was a new experience. Staff were very friendly. The only critique I would have is that they might be a bit overpriced - we spent $50 for two of for breakfast.
Dave K — Google review
Small busy bakery serving up breakfast and lunch. We tried the pizzaguette and the caramel apple French toast. The breakfast options were not extremely impressive but the bread was right on point! We picked up a loaf of apricot-hazelnut-honey bread and a loaf of the sesame miso, and both were so good we went back a couple of days later for more.

Loved the place and loved the people there. We played with my 13 year old son during a trip in Canada - we live and Europe and we could rent clubs and shoes… Course was in very good shape and nice to play. Would definitely recommend

(Translated by Google) Be advised that if you book with chronogolf, the chronogolf price is not honored by this trrrain. We had booked online and received a confirmation from Chronogolf with their price. However, the cashier at the ground never wanted to charge us the price of our online reservation. I now have to take steps for a refund with chronogolf. This is not logical and in my opinion it is theft on the part of this establishment. (Translated by Google) Very bad attitude from the lady at reception, no hello, just your outfit is not up to standard. There is the basics to respect, I agree, but when we are just passing through and we do not necessarily bring the wardrobe accordingly, wearing a skirt with a camisole is not a crime. It would be essential to review your priorities, because sport is not based on appearance, but on comfort. Parc national des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie is a renowned national park in the La Malbaie region, offering adventure boat cruises, bike and kayak rentals, a gift shop, and a restaurant serving local foods. The hike to the summit is relatively easy with well-maintained trails and breathtaking views. Visitors recommend staying at Chalet Echo for its modern amenities and stunning setting.
One of the most beautiful parks I've been to on the east side of Canada. West coast vibes that felt like home. Personally I found how to enter the camping area a bit confusing (no signs near front clarifying check-in/at least not in english). But got things sorted and Arthur was very nice and helpful. Incredible trails and views. Will definitely come back and hopeful to explore some of their winter offerings this year as well! Recommend downloading the map to help navigate trails as there is no service. Trails are well marked and well maintained.

Fantastic place with a lots of activities to do even in winter. Awesome rangers, Line and Natalie helps us navigating the park and creating a memorable experience. Highly recommended, not far from Montreal, you can visit Quebec City on your way and make your trip even better.
N F — Google review
Beautiful! This park has so much to offer. We decided to go to this parm during our stay in Quebec City because we were looking for something off the beaten path and a little further than Jacques Cartier. One of the standout features of this park is that they offer a one-hour guided boat tour, which we thoroughly enjoyed!
Matthew M — Google review
Cats are not allowed in this park (and all Sepaq parks) but dogs are. Don’t see the logic there as dogs are far more disruptive. Any cat owner knows cats are quiet and harmless. I understand if parks don’t want pets, but the choice to discriminate between cats and dogs is the problem. In any case, pets must be kept on leashes. be prepared to be sent home if you bring a cat camping. As a person who does not speak French, it is very difficult to find these rules online. We arrived to this park on the assumption that pets were permitted subject to restrictions based on what I had read online.
Jessica K — Google review
One of the best hiking experience we had. Difficult trail but lead you to the fantastic panoramic view on the top. Hiking shoes and good socks preferred. Bring enough drinking water with you. Has to return from Summit 3 at least 3 hrs before sunset.

The Acropole trail was a special experience: extreme effort and a rewarding scenery view from the summits. The distance related signs are very clear. Acropole important info: *checking-in for Acropole 8 AM to noon time only. There is a shuttle bus involved. * Allow a whole day just for this activity. I have shown up at around 9 AM, and was free again not before 4:30 PM - dreaming about shower and rest. * It's challenging. Have a good walking footwear and 2 litters water pp.
Gil S — Google review
Absolutely phenomenal location! The hiking was incredible, and the Acropoles des Draveurs was the crown jewel of the trails in the park that we hiked. You won't find much like it in the east. It's well worth the trip! The campground was clean and the sites were amply private The shuttle system was an excellent way to travel through the park, especially with a roof top tent. The visitor centers were clean, well stocked, and staffed with friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful people. We had no problem navigating the park as English speaking visitors. We paddled the Malbaie River to the furthest campground and hiked into the falls--simply breathtaking!! I can't recommend this place enough!

Wild Nature. Amazing Parc to spend at least 4 nights to do all the hikes. Our favorite was renting a canoe to enjoy the landscape from the river (no current, 2hours rowing) and then doing a hike visiting the waterfall. You can also rent a kayak or sup, and also rent a bike or walk. The camp (pin blanc) was very nice, beside the river, hot shower and very spacious, the river was a little noisy but very beautiful.

The landscapes there are very pretty (see photos). An inner tube slide is also available for the youngest. The prices are reasonable and clearly indicated on the website. Cross-country skiing = $20/adult, Snowshoeing = $13/adult, etc. The reception chalet is very well equipped and offers everything you need to prepare your skis before the hike. Lockers that can be locked are available on site. There are also plenty of tables available. In addition, the cross-country skiing and snowshoe trails are numerous and varied in difficulty. The trails are very well maintained and the directions are clear. A fire is kept lit in the middle of the site as well as a wood-heated chalet to take a break, warm up and snack. The places were clean and the service was impeccable. The only problem for travelers needing to change is that there didn't seem to be any changing rooms so I had to change in the toilet stalls, which was sub-optimal. Beautiful course with stunning views of the St. Lawrence River. If you are a beginner and would like a lesson, we would definitely recommend linking up with Marc-Olivier G., an excellent and patient instructor who gave us great results in one session and plenty of confidence for our game going forward. Other staff members, such as Henry C., were also very friendly and helpful. Lunch and coffee at the clubhouse after playing a round or taking a lesson is also a lovely option.

Probably one of the best golf course views you can imagine. The golf course condition is good overall. Price is fair (95$+tx) considering the beauty of the course. This includes golf cart and driving range. Staff are very friendly. Beer (12$) and coffee (6$) are overpriced. I would recommend this golf course for every golf enthusiast and even just regular golfer looking for an awesome view

I have been playing here for years love the course, BUT this year they stopped taking my clubs out of the car and parking the car. Also at the range you would get a bottle of water for the round. I’ll tip if I get service but it must not be important to make money at the course. Hopefully mgmt see’s this review

Although I consider my experience at the DF valuable, I have to inform others on the reality of it. I slept with 5 people in a room that was so cold I had to sleep fully dressed. The food was so terrible that most students were rationing groceries from the nearby town. Some “mentor” musicians were frequently condescending in a way that demotivates young people. I had a long journey to the DF and did not feel welcome. Considering we paid tuition for this (certainly enough for food & proper bedding), I can’t recommend it to my colleagues. Some staff and mentors did go the extra mile to spend quality time with students and I am very grateful for that.

Located in the charming town of Saint-Fidele just off the 138, Fromagerie St-Fidèle Inc. offers a variety of cheeses and other goods. The store is small and can get crowded, but it's worth a visit for their fresh cheese curds and delicious maple ice cream. Customers praise the friendly staff and recommend trying the squeaky cheese curds for homemade poutine.
Stopped at this local fromagerie en route to the Saint-Siméon ferry. It was quite busy - (people picking up cheese and coming in for ice cream and other favourites) likely due to the great quality products. Grabbed cheese curds, beer-soaked cheese, and maple treats. The woman at the counter was super kind. A pleasant stop with lots to browse - don’t miss the cheese!

Tiny garden with flowers, trees, a small cascading water point and bells you can ring (very loud though, be ready!). Well kept and cute. The full visit takes less than 1h however. If you are driving close, could be great to stop by but I would not plan a trip specifically to go there.

Went to the parc as a side stop to let our little boy of 18 months old to walk. Its well cared for and fun. Also at the end of the walk there is a deck with a stunning view with picnic table. Part of the trail closer to a running stream is not stroller friendly. But definitely a pleasant little stop that you can enjoy the tranquility and beauty.

Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the world of alpacas, learning about their fascinating origins from the Andes while also having the opportunity to purchase luxurious wool and other products at the on-site boutique. A visit here promises an unforgettable experience!
Highly recommended activity for people with or without kids. It's a beautiful and unique experience. The Alpagas are so cute and friendly, we loved interacting with them aslnd feeding them. The farm is well kept and alpagas taken care off. You'll find information boards dotted around giving details on alpagas. The alpaga babies were the cutest 😍 Entry fee per person is $10.00 They have a shop with locally produced wollen scarves, mittens etc.

We enjoyed the farm visit very much! Beautiful location & the pizza is fantastic.
Fawn P — Google review
We absolutely LOVED our visit and highly recommend everyone do it at least once. We did the 1 hour trekking and the Alpagas were so sweet and fun to interact with. Everyone gets an adorable alpaca with a name and you walk to several look-outs on the farm with the guide talking about alpacas along the way. Our guide was super friendly and funny, he was kind enough to re-explain the rules to us even though we were 5 mins late and he took our group to see the baby alpacas at the end too! Yes, the giftshop is kind of pricey but you pay for quality and it’s very rare to be this close to the source of your items when you live in a big city like Montreal. So I’m very happy to support our Quebec farmers and artisans, especially in the wake of this pandemic, and I know we will be laughing and looking back on our experience fondly for years to come!
Sandra V — Google review
What an interesting activity to do in the area. There are a few options, including a self guided tour, a guided tour and a walk with an alpaca. We could not do the walk since our child was too young so we did the guided tour. For about $35 for a family of 3, they walk you and a few others around a small area where the alpacas are, giving you information on how they are raised and some interesting tidbits, you can also feed them and ask questions. The tour takes about 45 minutes and is was worth it as our child loved it and we found it quite interesting. They also sell a lot of alpaca items, but they are pricey which is clear why after the tour since only the highest graded fiber can be used for many items, but still too pricey for us. The tour is well worth the visit though.

Alpagas are really cute. You can feed and pat them. Information is available on boards throughout the farm. They sell products made out of Alpagas’ wool. Quick visit for $9 per person as of July 2022.

Having come twice for two outings of half a day each, I can only recommend the Kenil du Sportif. The setting and routes of the dog sled outings are magnificent and right in the middle of the snowy forests of Charlevoix. The dogs are very friendly and some even let themselves be petted and cuddled. They are also very well looked after. Each has a little name, they are fed meat from local slaughterhouses and sleep in wooden cabins. The entire team working to ensure the smooth running of the kennel is truly passionate about their job. My friends and I attended a visit with lots of explanations about caring for dogs and how the sleds work. Our guide, Zack, not to mention his name, made our excursions possible by providing advice and photo sessions with the dogs! He is a young man with a big heart, very smiling, funny and with excellent human contact. We were sincerely won over by this disconnection in the lands of Charlevoix and will come back as soon as the opportunity arises! Once again a big thank you to the Chenil du Sportif for these beautiful, unforgettable moments!

(Translated by Google) First dog sledding experience! I loved it! The staff are warm and friendly. The atmosphere is family. The dogs can be petted while the guides prepare the sleds and place the dogs. They are eager to leave, which means that it is rather noisy during the coupling, but as soon as we leave, there is no longer a single sound! Just before departure, a little training is offered to know how to properly drive the sled. We took the half-day package (2h30) and it wasn't too long, it even went by too quickly! Halfway, we take a break, which allows us to exchange places, the one who was seated in the sled takes the place of the “mosher” as we call it in this jargon. The experience was memorable. Walking in the middle of nature in the magnificent landscape of Charlevoix is simply magical. We are reaching a greater speed than I would have expected, which is exciting. Bring your warmest stockings/socks! They can lend warm boots and mittens on site for those who don't have them. I recommend this activity to everyone!

Before departure, a lot of apprehension about the cold, the dogs, the ability to lead a sled, etc. All this is wrong because they lend you extreme cold equipment (gloves, boots, overtrousers, etc.) The sleds are very easy to drive and you are very well guided on what to do or not and accompanied (we were a small group of 5 on 3 sleds) by an attentive and very communicative guide. The dogs are very friendly, obedient and eager to gallop. In the end, a wonderful welcome, professionalism, kindness and competence from our guide. Truly exceptional and a must do. With the reward on arrival of a hug from the youngest born... One of the best casino in the world. It’s not huge one, and I went in cold winter, not many guests. some dealers are very humorous! I play regular blackjacks, min20and 50 tables. So I don’t know about the machines. There are some huge windows next to the tables, super nice river view! Players are much less mean than Macao for sure. Dealers are kind and funny like some friendly casinos in Vegas. Casino size is larger than European ones. I m sure I will come again in warm weathers.

The security guards always had poker faces. On the first two days, they let me in without any issues with my small backpack. However, on the third day, they suddenly took about 10 minutes to call and check, only to tell me that my backpack was “too big” to enter and that I had to store it. This made no sense—if it was acceptable on the first two days, why not today? It’s completely inconsistent and ridiculous. I won’t be coming back again! On top of that, it’s not a place where you can win—the deals aren’t great, and the atmosphere feels overly nerdy.

Small casino, but entertaining nonetheless! There's two areas to park, one is covered and paid ($6) and the others are a bit of a walk and free. There is a ton of slot machines, but not many games tables (blackjack, roulette, craps). There seemed to be a lot of people present for a Sunday evening, but we managed to find a spot. Won a whole $3, covered half the price of parking ;)

Very colourful paintings and the staff can inform you as little you want to know to as much you want to know. Very polite and knowledgeable. We highly recommend this gallery to anyone and worthwhile to make a detour if it’s not on your way. Bibiane & Barry

We had such an amazing experience at this gallery. I can’t say enough good things about it. The artwork was of amazing quality and a huge selection. The owner was extremely nice, helpful and of a great kindness. In fact, all the staff was like that. My wife and I purchased a piece and promised ourselves to come back for more. Strongly recommended for all. Merci Carl et Beverly

The Astronomical Observatories and Charlevoix Meteorite Crater offer a small walk with solar system information and a museum detailing the story of the meteor crater. While most presentations are in French, there are exhibits translated to English. Visitors can learn about how a meteor hit close to the site and its discovery. The presentations on the meteorite impact were informative, complete, and interactive.
We went to the night experience after dark. It was a fun quizz that they use to present information about astronomy. After this, there is a short break and, if the sky allows it, a night time star seeing. They have a telescope and can take high quality pictures. They review the sky and pointed the constellation with a laser. Very professional animation. I just loved it. Beware! Don’t bring young kids because it can be long for them and it is past their sleep time. One in our group had a tantrum and made it hard for everyone to hear what was said or enjoy (until they recluse themselves after the first half of the activity).

Very unfortunate experience. We drove all the way from Montreal, partly to visit the Observatory. We had bought and paid our tickets online 3 weeks in advance. When we arrived on-site, 15min before our scheduled guided tour, everything was closed, nobody was present. We tried to call and left multiple messages, trying to reach someone. We finally left after waiting 20min past our scheduled time. We have not received any news from the Observatory. Disappointment is too weak of a term to express what we felt.
Mélanie L — Google review
We went to the evening session - and the quiz was fun and informative for the whole family. Even if you choose to not participate, you still learn from the quiz questions. Felicia our history was excellent in presenting in English and French and showed passion and professionalism in both languages. Then we were lucky enough that it was a clear night so we were outside to learn about the constellations and how they are able to take images of the stars with their powerful telescope. And a cool laser wand to highlight which cluster of stars they are talking about. Felicia and her colleague Frederick had so much passion in the presentation - it is impressive because they do the presentation every night but you feel as if it’s the first few times they are talking about it. Note that because of the translation to both languages, it does end pretty late (past 11) in case you have young kids. But still highly recommended as you will leave feeling a little bit smarter :)
J L — Google review
Really enjoyed the session but the presentation was fully in French so it was a little harder to follow that piece as my French vocabulary isn't quite there! Still very affordable and friendly staff! Worth noting there are plenty of other presentations and exhibits translated to English plenty of learning to be done. There is a quite interesting bit on how a meteor hit close to the site and how it was discovered! The site itself was an old golf clubhouse converted to the observatory, note we did a day visit but they are open to night visits, make sure to reserve your time!!

This is a small museum but packed with interesting exhibits. The best part was the evening session with staff viewing the sky with a powerful telescope. They presented in English and French.

Our first presentation (meteorite), the person (I'm sorry, I forgot your name!) explained us in a very didactic and complete way, with some pieces to touch and see closer. Our second presentation (Charlevoix impact!) nicely given by Marie-Soleil, showed us the science and story behind the impact of the meteorite. Both presented the activity in English and their interactions with my son were very nice. Unfortunately we couldn't attend the Soirée de découverte du ciel étoilé because the sky was cloudy, but we will plan to go and try again this summer. Thank you for this amazing activity you've provided to my son!

If you are a fan of mushrooms, then Champignons Charlevoix inc. is a must-visit tourist attraction. They offer an amazing tour in both English and French, where you can learn about the fascinating process of growing oyster mushrooms. Their range of products is truly incredible, and every item tastes absolutely delicious. I highly recommend purchasing a bag of their fresh mushrooms – they are perfect for making mouthwatering pizzas.

Nestled in the picturesque region of La Malbaie, Champignons Charlevoix is a hidden gem that offers a delightful experience for mushroom enthusiasts and culinary aficionados alike. The farm, owned and operated by a warm and knowledgeable individual, stands out not only for its top-quality products but also for its commitment to sustainability and education. The owner, whose passion for mycology is evident, takes the time to personally guide guests through the intricacies of mushroom cultivation. This hands-on tour is both informative and engaging, shedding light on the fascinating process of growing mushrooms. From the initial stages of spore inoculation to the careful nurturing and harvesting of the fungi, every step is meticulously explained, providing a deep appreciation for the effort and expertise involved. If you love mushrooms 🍄 you gotta come here! I had an awesome tour from Jules (which they do in English and French!), and he showed us how they grow their oyster mushrooms! Which is super interesting ☺ They have loads of incredible products that all tasted absolutely amazing! I'd definitely grab a bag of their fresh mushrooms if I were you. I made pizza that was to die for with them! 🍕 😋 FYI the dogs name is shadow, she was just the sweetest! So adorable just following us around to get pets on the tour Don't forget to make a wish in the "magic mushroom"! I wished to find a chanterelle on my hike and I actually found one! Might be coincidence, but I'll just believe it's magic ✨ Thank you thank you thank you for the awesome time and food! You were all so kind 🖤

We visited this beautiful park when we were in La Malbaie. We stopped by and enjoyed the magnificence view of St-Lawrence river. The park have kids modules and nice setup picnic tables for family 👪. A must see this beautiful place when in Malbaie. Well, there is no public restroom so always come after the bladder is empty 😃🤪🤣.

Small but amazingly designed beautiful park. You can easily understand the ancient village life by observing the artistic goods made and preserve in this park like dummy boat, wooden sofa cum bed etc. You can walk with your dog or play with your kids here.

Cute little playground for kids. One side has a wooden boat. Another has a play structure, swings, and sand. Parking is available but somewhat limited. Also a good spot to start a stroll along the water. There are also large benches along the path for passersby to sit and lounge. At low tide, you can take steps down to the sandy area.

The Sentier des Planètes offers a delightful hiking experience along the stunning Saint Lawrence River. Spanning approximately 3 kilometers one way, this trail invites you to embark on a round trip of about 6 kilometers. As you meander through the path, you'll encounter several lookout points that provide breathtaking views of the river and its surroundings.
Awesome views across the Saint Lawrence bay. We loved exploring this trail and the thoughtful theme around magic. The trail revolves around the planets with plaques that give details of each planet that revolves around the sun. It is a relatively easy walking trail but there are some steep bits. Definitely worth a visit with or without kids!

A beautiful trail along the cliffside of the St Lawrence river, but conditions were very icy unfortunately. Great wooden belvederes along the way with great views overlooking the river. Aprox. 3 km one way (6 km back).

This is a nice short hike along the St. Lawrence River. The trail is 2.4 km long (one way), so approximately 5 km going to the end and coming back to the parking lot. Along the way, different structures have been set up. Also, you can admire the beauty of the river at a few viewpoints. I did this hike in the winter, and crampons could be necessary as ice may build up on some places.
Peter P — Google review
What was meant to be a simple morning hike turned into an enchanting experience. The trail’s beauty was breathtaking. The fog and rain that day transformed it into a heavenly paradise. I was particularly mesmerized by the railway along the beach. We will definitely return!
Alex D — Google review
Very nice trail along the Saint Lawrence River! There are several lookouts to enjoy the river view. One of the lookouts is also an entry to a via ferrata, which looks fun! We actually saw people doing the activity. The difficulty level of the hike is easy/intermediate. There are a few rocky/pebbly stretches, which would not be comfortable for someone wearing flip flops or someone who is not used to hiking trails. There are a couple of small streams and one bigger one, which is lovely. There are also descriptions of plants as well as a few art installations with a "fantasy novel" theme. Could be a fun walk for kids.

(Translated by Google) The trail is 3km long, so you have to walk 6km to complete it round trip. Several lookouts are set up along the trail and offer viewpoints of the St. Lawrence River. This hike is not technically challenging, but does have some elevation gain. You don't need to be very fit to complete it, and the route encourages you to take breaks to relax and admire the various viewpoints. The beginning of the trail is directly at the foot of the Richelieu Manor, where you can see explanatory panels. All along the trail, these panels provide information about our solar system. The distance between them is proportional to reality. The sun is at the beginning of the trail, then Pluto is at the end. Each panel is accompanied by a miniature representation of the planet, always proportional to their actual size. Although some panels are starting to become less legible, the trail remains very informative for anyone who takes the trouble to read them.
