Wollongong Botanic Garden, located in the suburb of Keiraville at the foot of Mt. Keira in New South Wales, is a beautiful and peaceful natural space featuring themed areas with native and exotic plants. Visitors can enjoy open spaces, educational programs, and guided walks to learn about Australian flora and conservation efforts. What a great place! In the middle of suburbia, it still manages to stay quiet and tranquil. The nature wellness trail is a great idea. I especially loved the Sculpture In The Garden exhibition this year (2025). Thank you for allowing this in your space 😍

Easy parking and pleasant gardens. It was quiet and provided varied walking options. Personally loved sir joseph banks glass houses, a lovely hidden treasure. Lovely places to sit and reflect or eat a picnic. Flat paths are perfect for wheelchairs and prams etc. Toilets are clean.
Lee B — Google review
A quiet, relaxing place for a walk or meditation. Their plant collections are massive. I especially liked the Greenhouse that houses their succulents and the tropical plants where you could feel the controlled environment for the plants. I also loved the Rose Garden
Rosario G — Google review
It is a wonderful, serene place to visit with your family. A lovely playground, lots of places to sit and talk, gorgeous gardens, manicured lawns and so much more.
Людмила С — Google review
Beautiful place to visit especially now with the rose garden in full bloom. The duck pond is amusing, and there are plenty of places to rest and absorb and regain your equilibrium 🙏
Nadia M — Google review
Beautiful garden, I love the cactus. This time I went into the Woodland garden, a lovely rainforest trail and the Japanese lake garden. I visited over 20 years ago and it has grown into a fantastic place to visit and spend time relaxing. Easy to get there from town with a free shuttle bus loop service.Coffee caravan on sight. It's a really special garden lovingly looked after. Thank you.

Wollongong Art Gallery is a must-visit for art enthusiasts, boasting one of the largest collections in Australia. The gallery features Australian, Aboriginal, and Asian art, offering interactive activities and a permanent collection that reflects regional histories and art practices. With 3,257 diverse pieces spanning from Neolithic pots to Colonial and Early Australian Art, it's a captivating cultural experience.
Great free art gallery! I’m thankful to see special features by female artists depicting local events! The staff were friendly and helpful too! I loved that many of the pieces had straightforward explanations and sometimes gave guiding questions. This place made art feel accessible to those of us without art degrees!
Karine R — Google review
Free entry to this nice art gallery in Wollongong. There was a great range of art and paintings, including landscape, Aboriginal, abstract, sculpture and much more. The building inside was very interesting and had wood floors and many rooms including a grand room with relics from when it was used as the council chamber. I especially liked the ceramic egg art display by Clare O’Toole. The art gallery is a real gem in Wollongong!
Alice M — Google review
Enjoyed a visit at the Wollongong Art Gallery. Entry is free, and there were several interesting exhibitions to explore, especially the one on “Home” by artists under 30. Highly recommended.

“When I came out of school in 1981 it was go to uni or go on the dole. Those were the only two options,” said Craig Donarski. This backdrop was what drove the working class activism that came to characterise the town. Art and activism provided hope for Donarski. They were a way of survive “up to 50% youth unemployment in some areas,” said Nick Southall. They both spoke as part of the Activism, Art and Culture in Wollongong in the 1980s panel today, an offshoot of the Greetings from Wollongong exhibition at Wollongong Art Gallery until 31 August. Along with a colourful and beautifully curated exhibition, you’ll find a room where the next generation of Wollongong activists remind you that police are not your friends, particularly if you’re a working class young person or queer.

How is this not a major gallery? The world here have much to add not only to our cultural histories but the race discussion is very well articulated.

Historical landmark
Wollongong Breakwater Lighthouse, also known as Wollongong Harbour Lighthouse, is a historic 1871 wrought-iron lighthouse that has been a local heritage site. Although it has been inactive since 1974, it was restored in 2002 and continues to attract visitors. Situated on the harbor, this charming lighthouse offers captivating views and serves as an attractive sight for tourists exploring the area.
The short old lighthouse was closed for a couple of days due to heavy wind, to avoid any potential risks. There are plenty of nice spots to take pictures and it's a stunning view when it's a full moon. Even you can watch it rise on the horizon from here as well.
Angshu B — Google review
Good place for fishing adventure. It is really an adventure, especially when a very high swell is present. There are plenty of fish during season month. Bonito, Salmon, Yellowtail and Mackerel are plenty most of the time. Very picturesque place. Great views for weddings photo Ops. Plenty of nearby parking spaces. Caution: Be careful with small children during very high swell. Don't risk it.
Jun H — Google review
The Wollongong Breakwater Lighthouse is a charming landmark that captures the spirit of the coast. Standing at the end of the breakwater, this small but elegant lighthouse has been guiding ships since the 19th century and remains one of Wollongong’s most photographed icons. With its simple white tower set against the endless blue of the ocean, it’s a place that feels both historic and timeless. 🌊 Ocean Views & Atmosphere The walk out to the lighthouse is one of the highlights. Surrounded on both sides by the rolling waves of the Pacific, you can feel the fresh sea breeze on your face and hear the rhythmic crash of the surf against the rocks. It’s the kind of place where the sound of the wind and the ocean become part of the experience, adding to the sense of calm and freedom that comes with standing at the edge of the sea. 🍃 A Peaceful Escape Though it’s only a short walk from the city, the breakwater feels like a world apart. The view stretches out endlessly across the ocean, while behind you the curve of Wollongong’s coastline frames the scene. It’s a beautiful spot to pause, take a breath, and simply enjoy the natural rhythm of sea and sky. ⸻ ✅ In short: The Wollongong Breakwater Lighthouse is a wonderful place to enjoy the ocean and the wind—a small but iconic beacon set in a location that offers peace, history, and stunning coastal views.
Min M — Google review
A historical place in the city area with plenty of parking. It's more popular during the weekend. Entry is free. Toilets nearby. Plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. As we did, you can see humpback whales migrating south. Also, 4 day World triathlon championship held here during our visit

The Wollongong Breakwater Lighthouse, also known as the Wollongong Harbour Lighthouse, is a historic and picturesque landmark situated at the entrance of Wollongong Harbour in New South Wales, Australia. Built in 1872, it holds significant historical value as one of the oldest lighthouses in the region, designed to guide ships safely into the harbor. Visitors to the lighthouse are often struck by its charming, classic design. The structure is relatively small, featuring a cylindrical tower made of wrought iron with a distinctive lantern room at the top. It stands on a breakwater, offering stunning views of the ocean and the coastline. The area around the lighthouse is a popular spot for walks, photography, and enjoying the coastal scenery. The lighthouse is accessible to the public, and its surroundings provide a peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for relaxation and contemplation. The adjacent harbour area is also worth exploring, with a mix of recreational activities, cafes, and historical sites. Overall, the Wollongong Breakwater Lighthouse is a must-visit for anyone interested in maritime history, architecture, or simply looking for a beautiful and tranquil spot to enjoy the coastal beauty of Wollongong.

A stunning spot that perfectly blends history, beauty, and adventure. The charming historic lighthouse, built in 1872, stands proudly at the harbour entrance, offering breathtaking coastal views and plenty of great photo opportunities. It’s a peaceful place to walk, relax, or even fish, with a nearby beach and plenty of parking. The waves, ocean breeze, and picturesque scenery make it perfect for a quiet afternoon or a special occasion. Highly recommend visiting this iconic and serene landmark

It reminds me when I was living in GC. The beach is so clean, the sand is fine, and there are all kinds of facilities available. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby, and can even rent electric scooters! It's perfect for a vacation! Will definitely come back next time!

The smell is quite strong here. Easy to find parking, not too crowded, pretty relaxing and chill.

Quite a nice and relaxing beach! Very beautiful in the day and calming in the night! Here has a jogging trail as well.
Foodie T — Google review
One of the best beaches in the Illawarra. Easy nearby parking, many options for cafes and restaurants. Year round life savers operating. Waves are good, views of the coastline are great. Can get busy in the summertime on weekends but understandable as this is one of the best beaches to visit in the area!
Jake W — Google review
I love taking my daughter to walk on the beach and then choose one of the many restaurants and cafes for lunch or dinner.
Justin C — Google review
It's a beautiful little beach. Great for surfing when the surf is big

Miki J — Google review
A great spot to chill out or walk around, as many other people do. A picturesque viewpoint from all angles - taking in the ocean views at the fore or, should one turn around, the sun setting on the mountain behind. A truly magnificent space indeed.

Flagstaff Point Lighthouse, also known as Wollongong Head Lighthouse, is a scenic spot to stop while exploring Wollongong’s coastline. It offers fantastic views over the ocean and Wollongong Harbour, making it a popular place for photography and a relaxing stroll. There is plenty of free parking nearby, which makes it easy to access even with larger vehicles during the day. However, overnight parking is not allowed, so it’s best enjoyed as a short visit. For those interested in local heritage, the site also has a bit of history about the lighthouse to learn from plaques and displays. Combined with the fresh sea breeze, it’s an enjoyable and educational stop.
Kanok C — Google review
Stunning and breath taking views from the Wollongong Lighthouse. If you're capable, the walk from the city centre is manageable and on a picture perfect morning really invigorating. Plenty of opportunity to take some outstanding photos and learn further about the history of the area.
Normandy J — Google review
Có biển, chim,… không gian quá đẹp. Tháng 5/2025 trời nắng, gió lùa lành lạnh, cảm giác rất thích. The scene was breathtaking — the sea stretched endlessly under the golden sunlight, birds soared gracefully across the sky, and the entire space felt like a serene painting. In May 2025, the weather was bright and clear. A gentle breeze carried a cool touch, bringing a delightful chill that made the whole experience even more refreshing and unforgettable.

Good spot to watch sunset/sunrise in Wollongong. From beach its easier to walk and reach lighthouse. Plenty of parking available. You can park anywhere and start walking to the lighhouse.
Zoaib — Google review
We went there on weekday, so parking was really easy to find. Our favourite icecream van was there and we loved nice sunny weather. But it gets really windy, loved the views of open ocean and nice green grass around the area. Must visit.

The Illawarra Brewery offers a range of delicious home-brewed beers and satisfying pub meals in a modern, open atmosphere with a deck that overlooks the sea. The food is excellent, particularly their outstanding chips and buffalo wings. Despite being crowded, the service is unexpectedly fast. With its breathtaking beach views and ample seating, this brewery provides an ever-changing selection of at least 10 beers on tap.
Very good happy hour deals. The buffalo chicken wings were surprisingly very good and a huge portion! Great bang for buck and to share. Nice view of the ocean as well.

Went here for the cocktail specials for $12 that are on 7-9pm on Friday nights. Made the mistake of sending my friend up there who wasn’t paying attention when paying for the drinks. When we ask the staff about the deal we could hear her asking someone else about the special. We were then able to get the deal but we had already paid full price for the drinks. The staff were really friendly from my experience but I can’t help but think this is because of the mistake that was made. Just feels like scummy business strategies taking advantage of customers if they don’t mention the special first. The deal was on a poster across from the bar so I hope the girl serving me was new and it was a genuine mistake but at the end of the day we were still ripped off.
Henry B — Google review
$14 for this basket. What an absolute joke. No wonder this place is empty. Menu is from the early 2000s, decor is a mix of salvation army gifts paired with cheap beach vibe cane chairs. Don't bother visiting if you are in the Illawarra.
Brendan D — Google review
Ate here as an event at WEC was nearby. The meals we ordered were not delivered, and excused by the waitress as “sorry, we’re busy”. Food was sloppy, tasteless, dry and awful. Other meals observed looked similar and schnitzel very dark crumb. Until they get a new kitchen team, don’t bother.
Bliss C — Google review
Absolutely hopeless restaurant. I had a reservation for 1pm only to notice that my table had REVOLTING dirty plates on it. The service was very poor as all tables weren’t cleaned of dirty dishes, not to mention how filthy the tables were. We were waiting for our food for at least 30-40 minutes just for 3 entrees. The restaurant was NOT busy at all (I understand why now), the staff said that the kitchen was backed up with orders and could not keep up. I made it clear to the staff that they should have notified me of this before I ordered my food as I would’ve gone elsewhere, very bad communication on their behalf. I don’t understand why they took my order if they were so “busy”. The food was average for the prices charged and portion sizes weren’t worth the price. For such a great and convenient location next to the stadium I would expect much better. Don’t waste your time and go somewhere else.
Demi Z — Google review
We experienced extremely long wait times for food—over an hour for very simple meals. Disappointingly, staff did not inform us of the delay, even though the restaurant was less than half full and not busy. Had we known, we would have chosen to dine elsewhere. Service was average, and the food lacked flavour. The bar staff appeared unfriendly, with visible scowls that affected the overall atmosphere.
Samantha G — Google review
If I could give zero stars I would. Can’t believe a place like this, at the entertainment centre can be so poorly staffed and mismanaged when they would see hundreds of patrons for events. My friends and I ordered at the same time, waited over an hour so decided to ask for a refund. Surprisingly their food just happened to be ready, but mine (which was a salad?!) apparently would not be ready at the same time? Ended up getting a refund after they figured out how to do it.. would not go back or recommend. Can’t handle the tables they have booked, let alone walk-ins
Alicia H — Google review
Food was good, but staff are not great. Stood at the bar for about 5 minutes before being acknowledged by the ether of the two bartenders, was also no one else around. Asked about our reservation that was made, was told to just go find the table instead of being shown… we couldn’t find the table and went to ask where it was and turned out they hadn’t reserved one for us! We had to sit in between the bar and the kitchen in these horrible chairs… not great

Had my daughters birthday party here yesterday 3/8/2024. The staff were amazing and very helpful. Our host was great with helping the kids get into their harness and giving instructions clear enough for their age group. I walked from each group as they all split off in 3 groups. They had a blast and was very keen on the cave. I would share more photos but don't want to add photos of kids that aren't mine

We had our daughter’s 10th Birthday at hangdog. The staff were amazing. They took the time to really explain to the kids on the way to climb safely and what not to do. The kids had an amazing time and even some saying to there parents they would love to have there party there. Thankyou hangdog for making our daughter’s birthday party special
Anna F — Google review
We have had two of my daughter’s birthday party’s here now! Her 9th and 10th! Both were amazing! We booked the upstairs section! The space is so big and you can view everything! I loved that I could bring my own Nibbles and cut up fruit as well as getting the pizza catering option. My only suggestion would be to order a couple extra pizzas than suggested as Climbing must be hungry work! Our pizzas were eaten very quickly and I heard a few of the kids a bit upset that they had only had one slice. :( also last year our party host came upstairs with a huge bunch of the harnesses for the children and adults and was so great at explaining to get us all hooked up and climbing and this year our host was great but it was a bit of a hassle going to get our harnessed from the front desk as he didn’t bring them up like they did last year. But it was a great time and my daughter really loved it both parties! Thanks again Hangdog!!!
Georgia S — Google review
Very enjoyable time, with friendly, helpful staff! Powerful upper body workout... Provided you follow the climbing rules (ie using ONLY the RIGHT COLOURS!) Comes down to self control, in the end! 😀
Antonio S — Google review
The kids enjoy this. I get bored waiting. Not a great deal of seating options for observers with lumbar support. The ropes where you don't need someone to help you are a lot better as you do not have to rely on an incompetent person. My son dropped a few metres as the other person was not concentrating and he came home very sore. The kids like the tunnel wall climb thing. As a parent I'm not too keen on this as you have to wait for the kids to come out which is annoying if you want to go. No easy way to get them. Staff seemed fine, I didn't have much to do with them. Only seen one walking around briefly with the customers. In saying all this, I will take the kids for an occasional activity.

Wollongong City Beach is a 3-km stretch known for its average wave height of 1.5 m, making it popular for swimming, fishing, and surfing. Situated just a short walk from the city center, this beach attracts both locals and tourists due to its golden sands, accessibility, and various amenities. Additionally, Bulli and North Beach offer stunning ocean views while Thirroul Beach is ideal for surfing enthusiasts.
Amazing beach , well organised and clean. Nicely managed by the city council. While I was using the Google map I noticed that we were redirected to the end of south beach which is closer to the dog beach. Parking place is no where near a the Changing rooms or the cafe at the same time my friend used the other competitors Maps that he managed to park in the main city beach area where you get the parking food, changing room and life guards on duty. Unfortunately suggested edits is not turned on for the map location. Just take a note when you are looking for parking.

We recently visited Wollongong City Beach, and overall, it was a great experience. The environment is really nice, and it’s a great spot to relax and enjoy with family. The only thing I didn’t like was the shower facilities—after spending time at the beach, the showers could definitely be better maintained. Aside from that, it’s a fantastic beach with a cool atmosphere, perfect for a family day out.

This captivating city in Australia is a hidden gem for surfers and beach lovers, offering a less crowded alternative to other popular destinations. Beyond the beach, visitors can explore the Grand Pacific Drive and the Sea Cliff Bridge for a spectacular coastal experience. Accessible by train from Sydney, Wollongong also boasts shopping malls and quality restaurants for those seeking relaxation and entertainment.
This long, Wollongong coastal beaches never stop providing great swimming areas. Another one further up is this Wollongong Beach. Similar to the rest, there is plenty of entrance access to the beach, a nice walk, and Pet-friendly parks. Very close to parking areas. There are plenty of portable shower areas and drinking fountains. Very picturesque views

So beautiful park, so wide and amazing beach ⛱️. I also love going there for barbecue. Be aware of the car par, as it gets full so fast especially in peak times. I would highly recommend it for weekends and holidays with family and friends. There are electric barbecue spots there, but also it gets filled most of the time. Ah yes, also you can have a grat walk, as the beach is long and green spaces are amazing with fresh winds 🥰

We can visit if you guys take the train from central station, it takes an hour and half. It's overwhelming and nice to chill out. There are big shopping mall and plenty of good quality restaurants as well. It's a shame that I arrived at there quite late, I couldn't feel the vibe enough. I'm gonna surely visit again.

We stopped in here for lunch on a Tuesday and chose to sit outdoors (but completely undercover) and on a beautiful Autumn day it was at least half full at 12:30pm. Lovely attentive staff, full table service with a drinks and separate food menu. I shared the prawn roll (cut in half on my plate) and the fish tacos with a girlfriend and the taco won hands down!! Combine the beach view, great food and a glass of prosecco and you have a fabulous lunch and we will definitely be back! 🥂
Helen W — Google review
The food here leaves much to be desired, chicken burger was dry (we asked to add some sauce after and they did so props to them for that) and the eggs in the shakshuka were very overcooked and also dry. The smoothie had way too much cinnamon in it but the coffee was decent. Beautiful scenic views saved this place.
Carmen C — Google review
The view is probably the only good thing there. Asked for water 3 times and I still have to grab it myself from the station. They serve other tables but not mine. Even new customers got their water straight away. The Salmon Croquettes was okay but the rosemary is too strong (at least for me). Not a fan of their strawberry rosé.
Felicia P — Google review
I had been wanting to come here for a while since I had heard good things, but unfortunately this was probably the worst breakfast me and boyfriend have ever had. I got a caramel milkshake that was just cream, basically no flavour, no milk. Since that was so bad I ordered a hot chocolate and that was even worse, it just tasted like water. The food looks really nice, but it tasted terrible, everything was extremely bland and we had to put so much salt on everything for it to be edible. You would think lemon, feta, salmon and hollandaise sauce would be flavourful, but somehow it wasn’t at all, I was so surprised and disappointed at how bad the food and drinks were. On top of that we had to wait about half an hour to be seated and another half hour to get our drinks and twenty more minutes for our food. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll ever be back here again.

I review caesar salads that I eat around the world, and I can say that the Diggies Caesar Salad was probably the best I've ever eaten!! Not only were the croutons crunchy, but they were also large, and the lettuce was so crispy. However, the star of the show had to be the amazing salad dressing, which was so tasty and paired amazingly with the rest of the salad! The parmesan cheese and egg, which isn't always a feature of caesar salads, were also a great finishing touch. 🥗 Caesar Salad: 5/5 🍳 Other Food: The kangaroo valley eggs on toast were also lovely, but the salad was the star of the show. Pancakes would be a great addition to the menu!! 🍹 Drinks: Great cocktails.

My waiter was very friendly, but my Eggs Benedict was cold - not warm, cold. I’m sure if I had complained I would’ve got a fresh serving, but the place was busy and I didn’t want to take up a table. Coffee was good. I will go back because it’s a great location.

Enjoyed watching "Cirque Africa" tonight in the IMB theatre. Show was brilliant. Seating is great. Staff were lovely & helpful. There is the 'Social' coffee shop & bar for a bite to eat & a drink before the show. 😊

The centre is conveniently located within walking distance from the train station—about a 15-minute stroll. The theatre itself has a warm and cosy atmosphere that makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The foyer is lively, filled with the buzz of coffee shops and patrons enjoying themselves before the show. I hold dear memories from my visits here—it's a place that leaves a lasting impression.

Went and saw “The woman in black” on a Thursday matinee. The cast and crew were phenomenal! Everything from lighting, costuming and stage design made you feel engaged. All the workers on that day were extremely helpful, polite and answered all our questions so nicely. Furthermore, we had the show interpreted by Auslan interpreters (props to both of them!) and I’m so happy that the inclusion was not only there but was done in a way that was enjoyable for my friends that were attending. The interactions before and during the show were prompt and efficient. The theatre was clean and even had a little photo presentation to stand and get photos in to remember the show. I went in thinking this might be small because I had never been to this theatre which changed because everything blew me out of the water! Well done to everyone involved! I’ll definitely be booking to see more shows here!

The venue is extremely easy to get to, with free parking just across the road after hours behind the library and plenty of lovely dinner and dessert places around. The space was a little smaller than expected compared to larger spaces like Sydney Lyric or Theatre Royal, but something you'd expect from a Wollongong venue. Overall it was nice.

Tears of joy! Huge shoutout to Dallas, my expert tandem diver 🙌 — your calm confidence, infectious energy, and good humour truly made this dive unforgettable. Seamless from go to whoa. Jumped with these guys pre covid & it was an excellent experience, so much so that I had planned to have a ticket ready for my young daughter. Enter lockdowns, age restriction changes etc & we were postponed for what seemed an eternity.....Fast forward to Oct 26 2025, we finally got to do our daddy daughter jump on my birthday weekend 😁(used to be a birthday fortnight- a week either side. 😉) Can't say if any of the staff were the same as years ago, probably not to be fair, but, again they delivered on jump day with great attitudes, professionalism & an easy going fun nature. Loads of chatting & fun times (not so much from some of the jumpers 😉) gave it a jumping with mates kinda feel. Wouldn't hesitate to go back tomorrow & the next day & the day after...........🤙

Had a lovely 4 course Sunday lunch with delicious cocktails! Nice cozy seating & very friendly & enthusiastic staff! Service between dishes was unusually slow. Food started off very strong with great balance of flavours & texture but the lamb main dish & pavlova dessert was slightly disappointing. My lamb was very rare & didn’t cut through at all, making it almost impossible to chew & eat. The pavlova had great taste but the texture wasn’t the best, the outside was very hard & the inside was not fluffy but runny instead. Nevertheless, the other dishes were flavourful & delicious & the attentive staff made it a nice experience for us!

Stuart Park is a well-known and popular park located near the beach. It boasts of expansive lawns, an ocean lagoon, and stunning views of the sea. The park features top-notch play equipment such as swings, slides, and a flying fox that provides hours of fun for kids. Additionally, there are bike tracks perfect for little ones to ride or scoot around on. Visitors can enjoy picnics by the ocean or make use of BBQ facilities scattered throughout the park.
Stewart Park: Where Kids Spin, Run, and Smell the Fun! If you’re looking for a park that’s more than just swings and slides, Stewart Park is where the magic happens! This place is like a hidden playground wonderland with the coolest spinny things—seriously, I don’t know what they’re called, but kids jump on and go whirling, twirling, and spinning into another dimension. Then, there are these running circle things (again, no clue what they’re called), but they turn kids into human tornadoes of laughter. It’s like a mini obstacle course designed by a genius who knows exactly how to tire them out. But wait, there’s more! Stewart Park isn’t just about the action—it’s got a touch-and-smell plant zone that feels like a nature-inspired treasure hunt. Ever wanted to pet a plant? Say hello to the soft and fuzzy rabbit’s ear! Need to test your mosquito-repelling superpowers? Just rub the citronella plant and give it a sniff. The whole area is packed with fragrant herbs and interesting textures, making it a fun sensory adventure for kids and adults. Bottom line? Whether you’re there for the spinning, the sprinting, or the sniffing, Stewart Park is a must-visit. Just be prepared—your kids might never want to leave!

This park was awesome! It really does have something for everyone. My kids of different ages all had things they could engage with that was to their size and ability. I lived the sensory garden. It was very clean and had plenty of room for picnics. The only thing that would improve it is the location of the toilets, which were a bit far required planning to get to and they very, very dirty (especially in the adult change room). I was impressed they had the adult change room, though, this is a great example. It really was a highlight of our visit, though we didn't know about it in advance.

I should have written this years ago!!! I’d say 5barrel is the best beer product in the Illawarra, hands down!!! The variety and craftsmanship!!! Always great quality and amazing flavours. Beer for the real beer drinker. This is real craft beer. Never tried a bad beer here and they do not abuse hops or make anything crazy for the sake of crazy. Always inventive but with measure and amazing products. Their core is solid and second to none. Their other editions are always filling in a gap. Their General and Extension, Theo Ghost creek (sour) and the stouts … I could go for ages writing here but …. Just go and try for yourself. And when it comes to the place itself (apart from the amazing product) there’s almost always a spot and always able to talk. That is, music or live entertainment but not blasting so loud everybody has to shout.

We tried a beer paddle at Five Barrel Brewing in Wollongong and really enjoyed it. The beers were excellent with a great variety across the paddle, definitely the highlight of the visit. The venue was a little on the cold side, but overall it’s a spot well worth checking out for the quality and range of beers.

Horrible service. The older gentleman at the front seemed completely disinterested in serving me. I was super excited, being from Canada, to try a local Wollongong beer. To my disappointment, I picked a place that does not care about its customers. When I asked about all the beers and their differences, the answers were very vague. To give an example, i asked what the black IPA was, and I got a response "its just what it is". It seemed like the gentleman was more interested in accepting payment than providing an experience. A big part of visiting breweries is the experience. I can go to a local liquor store to buy what I want, but I go to a brewery to taste and learn about the beers. It really is an experience. Also, there was clearly WiFi available and I was told that there wasn't any available. Mediocre beers, I'd go somewhere else.

Staff are friendly, love the ambience of this place, a relax atmosphere. Had a pulled pork burger, chips, 10 chicken wings. We love the smoky flavor in pork, and veg inside the burger was refreshing. Chicken wings we had were crispy but a little dry. Definitely will come back for the tasty food and good beer. Bought home 16 beers! LOL.

Went to Five barrels brewing last night with some friends! I must say it’s a hidden gem… Of course the alcohol selection was the star of the show, but the food truck -ohh my, what a way to follow up. Fish and chips 10/10

The Illawarra Museum in Wollongong is a volunteer-run treasure trove of local history, offering exhibits and occasional events. Housed in the former Post and Telegraph Office, the two-story heritage building showcases a vast collection of furniture and objects dating from the 19th to early 20th century. Visitors can explore a schoolroom exhibit on the ground floor and enjoy changing exhibitions, such as historical maps of the evolving Illawarra region.
I encourage everyone to visit this free museum and get a glimpse of the history of the area. It only opens twice a week in a limited timeframe so make sure to plan in advance.

This is truly a hidden gem. There are a total of 6 display rooms: classroom, grocery store, bedroom, kitchen, laundry and living. Each one of them is so perfectly displayed and preserved. Please check their website for opening hours. When we visited the place it was only open on Wed and Sat. The volunteer staff, John was so friendly and informative.

What a great start to your Wollongong visit. The building was originally The post and Telegraphic centre of the Illawarra. A great insight into the interesting past of local settlers and the community. Not far from the city centre. #peacelindasingh

Nestled in a bustling Wollongong laneway, Restaurant Santino is an Italian-style bistro renowned for its diverse menu and art deco setting. Skilled chefs curate a mix of traditional and contemporary dishes using the freshest ingredients, complemented by an impressive selection of wines. The restaurant's dim ambience and classy decor create a charming dining experience.
From the moment we walked in we were treated like stars! Every single employee greeted us with a hello and big smile - even the bar staff as we passed to get to our table. Wine choices were superb and the menu had lots of different options. Dinner was absolutely delicious, ambience was perfect at the staff were the icing on the cake. Definitely will be coming back again! Thank you Santino :)

What a standout in Wollongong. Absolutely worth the drive from Sydney. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. After reflection on dinner last night the standouts were the zucchini and octopus starters as well as the dessert. Just wow! The spanner crab pasta and swordfish were both excellent but felt familiar as they are go to items we would order. The others were worthy of special mention as they weren’t comparable to dishes we’ve had previously. We will definitely return if we’re back in Wollongong and a big thank you Freya for your warm hospitality.

One of the best places I’ve been to in Wollongong. Great atmosphere, friendly staff with a good sense of humour and some of the best food around. Highly recommend the Santino Martini and Honey Bee-Lini cocktails btw. Will definitely be coming back again

Had an amazing night at Santino in Wollongong! The food was unreal, the wine was dangerously good, and our waitress Caitlin deserves a medal. She talked us into having dessert — which, to be honest, might’ve been the best decision we’ve ever made. The dessert came out looking like art, and after one bite I wasn’t sure if I was eating chocolate mousse or having a spiritual awakening. Caitlin knew exactly what she was doing — absolute professional dessert enabler. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, with that golden lighting that makes you feel like you’re in an Italian movie. Highly recommend — great food, great wine, and staff who clearly know how to make you say “yes” to one more glass and one more dessert.

From start to finish, it was an incredible experience. The food was outstanding, highly recommend the lamb rump and the charred octopus. The wine was fantastic, and the whole place had such a great vibe. The staff were unreal, and a special shoutout to Elliot, who was an absolute legend with amazing recommendations. Will be back for sure!
Chantelle C — Google review
Dwarfed by construction hoarding, Restaurant Santino is better than it looks. The ugliness outside adds to your sense of discovery within, developing as you traverse the long hallway, past the elegant rounded bar, to an atmospheric dining room that widens out in the rear. The door currently labeled Sonny’s will soon be a portal to a Portuguese and Spanish wine bar, Bar Lina. Just like the Paisano & Daughters group in Sydney (who own Continental), the mob behind Santino are amassing a reputation for quality venues (they also own Kneading Ruby) with engaged floor teams. While the setting screams dirty martini, I refreshed my palate with a Calda Paloma ($23) where Casa Orendain reposado tequila mingles with grapefruit and white wine vinegar. The Chiaro Negroni ($24)—a white pineapple-infused negroni—was equally impressive, with the pineapple’s sweetness well balanced by bitterness. Freshly shucked Merimbula oysters ($6/each) arrive with a generously proportioned bowl of raspberry mignonette with the finest dice I’ve ever seen on the eschallot. They called for Chardonnay, and the by-the-glass list answered with a big bucket of buttery malolactic fermentation in the 2022 La Crema ($39/250ml). Hokkaido scallop crudo ($25) keeps the scallop the hero against rich, fatty buttermilk, delicate green dill oil and crunchy flakes of Aleppo pepper. Charred Fremantle octopus ($28) sits on a bed of corn kernels tossed in tarragon butter. Order Millers’ Local Bakehouse bread ($8) to mop it up. Boasting pork and fennel sausages prepared to their recipe at a local butcher, tube-shaped ziti ($34) teamed with chicory, confit chilli oil, crunchy pangratatto and curly shavings of ricotta salata, were a star. A spike of aniseed comes through from the snags. The Chardonnay loves this dish almost as much as I love this easy-drinking Sonoma Chardonnay.

The Grand Pacific Drive is a spectacular 140km coastal road trip from Sydney, showcasing stunning natural beauty and charming towns like Wollongong and Kiama. A highlight is the Sea Cliff Bridge, an architectural marvel that curves over the ocean, offering breathtaking views from its pedestrian walkway. While parts of the drive are narrow and winding, it provides stunning vistas of both the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding mountains. Visitors can walk the bridge, discover scenic lookouts like Stanwell Tops, and explore beautiful beaches and national parks, making it an ideal journey for all types of road trippers. Grand Pacific Drive Overview A Scenic Coastal Journey: The drive stretches 140km, offering a mix of rainforests, rugged cliffs, and pristine beaches, extending from the Royal National Park to the Shoalhaven region. The Sea Cliff Bridge Highlight An Engineering Feat: The 665-meter-long Sea Cliff Bridge is a feat of engineering, built to provide a safer route along the coast after sections of the old road were prone to rock falls. 🌊 Unforgettable Views on the Grand Pacific Drive 🌉 This place is truly breathtaking — a must-see on any trip! The Grand Pacific Drive stole my heart with its dramatic coastal views, winding cliffside roads, and the endless blue ocean stretching out to the horizon. What made it even more magical were the paragliders soaring above. Their colorful parachutes floating in the sky added a surreal touch. Watching them glide gracefully over the cliffs — it was like a dream. You can literally feel your breath catch from the beauty and the height. If you ever have the chance, don’t miss it. Just stop, take it all in, and let the moment live in your heart forever. 💙

The exhibits cater to both children and adults alike, making it an excellent destination for all ages. Really fun and unique experience both for young and young at heart. We really enjoyed the activities. My 2 year old was so happy to do all the fun science activities.

This place still has the exact same equipment and activities that were being used when I was a child more than 2 decades ago! 😣 Many of them were not working during our visit, which was unfortunate, but not the end of the world. What was important was that the little one enjoyed themselves, which they definitely did. Enormous amount of things in the gift shop, but ridiculously overpriced. $15 for a basic mug? No thanks!
Nicholas D — Google review
Took my partner there for her birthday! We're both 29. It's such a fun place for kids and for adults. So many hands on things to do, the shows are great (shoutout to Meg for a fun liquid nitrogen show!!) and the planetarium is AWESOME. Also, shoutout to the people who work there. Everyone was so kind and had great customer service :). Highly recommend to get the combo tickets!!!
Manita S — Google review
It has a lot of cool gadgets for us to do hands-on experience o science theorties. They have different exhibitions inside too, for that we need to take separate tickets and they are much focused on school children.
Pasindu R — Google review
The museum is amazing and my 4 year old loved it. Wish it was open more hours outside of school holidays for us to visit. The range of things inside to play with was fantastic. They do need help from a parent to read most of the instructions though otherwise they just hit buttons and move on. There was also free play options and badge making which was really cool. And the planetarium show was really good and only $4 each which is very reasonable. Parking was also free. The one thing that would've been good is more science shows. For example in NEMO in Amsterdam they do a "chain reaction" show which includes kids and ends with a rocket being shot up high. There are endless possibilities for interactive science shows that would be fun to include in this space and would make each visit more unique. Definitely take your own food. The biggest downside was the small kiosk cafe didn't open until almost 12:30pm which meant the only food in the venue was vending machines full of junk food or a 5 minute walk down the road to a nearby cafe. Most kids I saw who hadn't brought lunch were just eating junk food from the vending machines as that's all there was. There are no good options for kids with food allergies in the cafe as all equipment is shared and vending machines also serve snacks with peanuts and other nuts as well. The positive is food isn't supposed to be consumed inside so it's only outdoors where they eat. The food at the cafe was ok for a convenient snack for people without allergies but the hours still not ideal. There is limited play equipment outside so the problem was our kids just wanted to run back inside after eating which makes it hard for parents to sit and eat. The most exciting thing outside for kids is the vending machine which our kids focused on and kept begging for treats from. At the UOW discovery centre they have an outdoor play area so it's easy to stay outside as there's stuff for kids to do. I think there is a missed opportunity at this venue to have water-based science exhibits or something else which is outdoor like solar windmills for example that would have been a nice addition and would make being outside more fun.
Liz W — Google review
A great interactive place to take the kids for a day out. Lots to do and see and it’s all hands on. Theres a good chance that they will unconsciously learn by exploring the different stations/exhibits which is covered in the cost of the entry fee. For an additional cost there’s also the planetarium theatre which has different shows on and also the interactive science talks in the Science theatre. A gift shop will also grab their attention on the way out. Parking is free on weekends and they’re open 10-4 every day. Over all the cost is minimal and the kids get to run amok and enjoy themselves.
SARGES’ F — Google review
Bit of a poor man's Questacon, but enjoyable for adults as much as the kids. The equipment is old and dusty and not very inviting to touch, particularly because we only saw one anti bacterial dispenser in the whole centre. Some general maintenance to stations wouldn't hurt as everything looks old and tired. The information sheets on each station were very heavy on writing, which isnt ideal for kids and printed in small text on dark background making it very hard to read (and completely useless in the low lit rooms!) It wasnt clear where the cafe was, was it onsite? We didnt bother trying to find it. Good use of "play space" for younger kids. We particularly enjoyed the magnetic tiles. More activities for toddlers would be good such as colouring or building blocks. Free carpark at weekends was a plus. Worth a stop if youre in the area, but would have been disappointed if I'd travelled from Sydney for this.

The beach is an overachiever with its waterfall and clear emerald water, attracting visitors seeking a secluded oasis of natural beauty.
The scenery here is absolutely stunning. On one side, there's a serene freshwater stream with a gentle, picturesque waterfall. On the other, you'll find the sea, lined with striking moss-covered rock formations. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a beachside BBQ. I highly recommend having a picnic here to fully appreciate the beauty of nature!

One of my favorite places in all of Australia. So beautiful. So serene. I can't believe I grew up in Sydney and only went for the first time a couple years ago. It's definitely worth the drive.

It’s a wonderful place! I went during the week with my kids and loved it. The water was calm, and near the shore it was warm and very clear — you could even see the fish while walking around. We visited on a weekday, so there were very few people, and it was very easy to access — just a short 3-minute walk from the parking area to the beach.

Wattamolla Beach is an absolute gem! From the stunning blend of beach, lagoon, and waterfall to the peaceful natural surroundings—it’s the perfect spot for a relaxing day out. The views are simply breathtaking, and it feels like a hidden paradise not too far from the city. We enjoyed the calm waters of the lagoon, and the little walk to the lookout was totally worth it. Great spot for a picnic, swimming, or just unwinding with family. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again and again!

Absolutely gorgeous beach located close to the walking tracks and BBQs. 4 parking levels available on site, but the place is so incredibly popular during the weekends that if you come after 9 am, all parking would most likely be full. S, plan accordingly. BBQs use gas and open fires are often not permitted. No puppies are allowed in the National Parks in NSW. You can swim in the creek or the sea. Very safe for little kids.

Expansive sandy beach known for its surf waves, backed by dunes & a saltwater swimming pool.
It’s a great place for surfing, and it’s a dog beach. There were many cute adorable doggos and that was a great view 🤗.

Great place for a walk and enjoy some fresh air. Looks to be a good place to take your dog for a walk. As a family of 4 with two kids (and no dogs) we decided to settle for another beach in Wollongong for a swim.

Blue skies for days. Couldn’t resist a dip at Port Kembla beach in Dharawal country. Water clear & blue again. Waves perfectly formed but with their force broken by a well-placed rocky outcrop. Would come back to snorkel around it.

The staff were very lovely and patient, explained everything to us as it was our first time attending. There were so many areas for children as well as two outside areas that were full of wonderful things for children to explore. It is definitely worth the entry fee, so much to keep the kids busy.

Absolutely awesome for little kids up to 5 years old. I wish there are more places like this closer to Sydney. At first I thought it's just a massive version of kids cafe but I was so wrong. Love that they have huge space and dedicated area of each play section. My kids at age 2 had so much fun enjoying pretend play at the supermarket and cake shop that they went back multiple times! I have never seen them so focus playing for like 20 min+ in one area. We spent more than 3 hours there but still didn't finish all the play areas. We will definitely be back for another play!

We absolutely love the Discovery Centre! It’s such a fun and engaging place, perfect for curious little minds. Every visit is full of laughter, learning, and hands-on adventures. The kids never want to leave! Highly recommend it for families looking for something both educational and exciting. 💫

This place is awesome! My 3 & 6 year olds had a ball. So much to explore and play with. The cafe has a great variety of food too. Loved the water play area outside, next to the cafe. I wish it had been around when I was a kid.
Phoebe B — Google review
It's an exceptional experience for young kids, and one they can keep coming back to. Everything is interactive, there is a wide variety of activities and children of all learning types are catered for. There is cafe which is a bit pricey but the quality is good (the juice that comes with the kids meals is freshly squeezed, for example). There are kid sized toilets and sinks, changing rooms and storage lockers.
Andrew M — Google review
It is an absolutely amazing play space for learning, curiosity, and exploration. Our girls have been back to visit at different stages, from toddlers up to kindergarten age and have such an amazing experience every time! 💖 They even have a purpose built toilet space for the kids, which made our toilet training assignment a breeze while there! Couldn't recommend this place more, definitely worth a visit! ☆☆☆☆☆
Holly B — Google review
Came here with some friends and family. The play area is great, however the cafe appears to be mediocre. As you can see from the photos. The pizza lacked ingredients. The small cute chefs did not know what happened. The same ingredients seemed to be used for burgers and soup noodles. There is no variety. Food was hard and tastes like plastic. The sauce bottles are all empty as well. We would recommend the small chefs to go through some training prior preparing food for customers.

Really nice beach with lots of seats and space for picnics. There is a pretty big playground with lots of play equipment for ages up to 14. The beach has a rock pool as well as a normal pool but both pools have seawater. Beach is approximately 4.5 km long. Good beach for surfing and bodyboarding, for swimming you have to be experienced because the waves are pretty large and usually lots of rips.

I rarely leave reviews, but this time I really wanted to. If I could give 6 stars, I would. This amazing museum exceeded all my expectations. An extensive collection of retro cars, motorcycles, and bicycles. They are in excellent condition and well looked after. In addition to cars, there is a large collection of antique rare items - from gramophones to car number plates. All these things give a sense of history - from the era when carriages still drove and Karl Benz created his first prototype of the car, to the Golden Age of Hollywood and the 1970s in Australia. It feels like this museum was created with great love and continues to be managed with the same love. A huge thanks to the museum staff - they are very friendly and a treasure trove of interesting information. Special thanks to our wonderful guides, volunteers Trevor and Bob - your fascinating stories were so interesting to listen to! Overall, if you love vintage cars or just appreciate aesthetics and want to spend an unusual day, this museum is definitely worth a visit. If you are even a little bit into history, you can spend a whole day here in rapture. And considering that you can get a ride in a 1920s car, then you will definitely remember this day. Highly recommend!

There are 3 spots you should visit at this area. 1. The lookout at the left turning which I personally think has the most beautiful view. 2. Lookout hill 60 which is the one on the right, where the BBQ area is. 3. Drive further down heading towards the sewage plant and you will find a nice walking path to the beach. The walks to the main destinations are short and easy. The views are guaranteed to be worth your time but be warned that you may end up spending longer than you have planned especially if you are with little kids who just love beaches! Great area for fishing too but remember to always take safety precautions if you are doing rock fishing as the waves can be strong.

Cordeaux Dam is a remarkable structure with an Egyptian-inspired design. It provides a glimpse into the past with its grand stone gateways and scenic picnic grounds adorned with tall pine trees. Offering expansive picnic areas, various amenities, children's play equipment, and a natural water body, it is one of Sydney's largest dams.
Great place for a picnic or visit! Lots of tables and seats with kids play equipment. Amenities are super clean and tidy with lots of electric BBQs available and hot water. The local birds are super friendly and a walk along the dam is a must if you visit.

An enclosed safe harbour area with lovely long beach. Because of the breakwater, the water is calm. A number of small to medium boats anchored here. Beach is more popular during the weekend. Entry is free. Plenty of parking here and near the lighthouse. Toilets nearby. Plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. As we did, you can see humpback whales migrating south. Also, 4 day World triathlon championship held here during our visit

Great family place to hang out, its real name is Belmore Basin, Wollongong Harbour it’s not Cove Beach. It’s particularly nice and protected in most wind directions but the most protected in a southerly wind. Real name is Brighton Beach, Belmore Basin Water can be a little dirty after large rain fall as the city streets drain into the harbour. This is still a working harbour with fishing trawlers and boat repair shops. It would be great for the community if one day it became a dedicated recreational harbour.

Well, !!!!, what a treasure. Have lived in the Illawarra for just over 30 years and had heard about the Rhododendron Gardens but never been. How delightful. Tucked away at the end Parrish Ave, a whole new world. There is a 'hiking track' need joggers or hiking shoes as several little creeks to cross and boggy in places. I wasn't aware of this so hadn't worn proper shoes but we did do part of the track. $5 entry fee but definitely worth it. You can take a picnic as there are picnic tables and even just benches available to sit and enjoy. Apparently in September on each Sunday from 11am (??) included in this price is a guided walk with one of the Volunteers who will point out all the different varieties. No Local or State Funding given all maintained by Volunteers and the entry fee.

Bulli Beach is one of those places that instantly makes you feel like you’re on holiday, even if you’ve only driven an hour from Sydney. Bulli Beach is a hidden gem just north of Wollongong. The sand is soft and golden, and the water is crystal clear—perfect for a swim or just relaxing by the shore. I especially loved the ocean pool at the southern end, which was calm and great for a peaceful dip. The beachside café (temporarily closed) serves delicious food and coffee with a view that’s hard to beat. There’s a shaded picnic area, a fun playground for the kids, and plenty of free parking, which made the whole day super easy and enjoyable. Nestled in the heart of Wollongong, St Francis Xavier Cathedral stands as a serene sanctuary for those seeking spiritual solace. This beautiful cathedral, while modest in size, exudes warmth and devotion, making it an inviting place for worshippers. Visitors often praise its cleanliness and the uplifting atmosphere created by heartfelt services led by dedicated clergy. Whether attending a midday mass on Wednesdays or celebrating special occasions like Christmas midnight mass, parishioners find joy and connection within its walls.
Great historical church clean and a great place for Sunday service great location 🙏🙋🏻‍♂️

The Candle light Concert by Phoenix Collective was an absolute delight! The Church acoustics blended with the hundreds of candles throughout really created an ambience of joy! Hearing the lead violinist speak around each piece, his recitation of the accompanied poetry made the experience richer. What a wonderful evening!

It's unfortunate to see a female as a Eucharist minister even Eucharist ministers in general within the Catholic Church. I witnessed this woman try and deny someone the Eucharist. Utterly disrespectful to the Catholic faith as she shouldn't be there in the first place. The priest who allows this needs to fix this problem, I am changing parishes hopefully to a church they actually take Catholicism seriously. Not impressed.

Park
Beautiful spot to sit, chat and take in the view. Or for kids to paddle their feet without too many waves. Facilities include picnic tables, walking/cycling tracks, kids' play equipment, water bubblers, and public toilets. There are also a few cafes in this area selling fish and chips, icecreams etc.
Michelle P — Google review
A great harbour park with easy walking and cycling on the beautiful Blue Mile. Plus lots of Cafes and Restaurants in this outstanding location.

Very nice views from here and very relaxing. Great setup of the pool right next to the ocean which accommodates adults and children alike And a playground a short stroll away for the kids
Craig O — Google review
Amazing beach with no waves but a beautiful harbour with ships. Good for kids who wanna swim but not in a pool with shops around.

Nice little beach! Good facilities! Lots if families veith kids around! Nice and clean
Fariba S — Google review
Doesn't matter what time of day. Going on the cycle way There are always people walking a breast next to each other taking up most of the path. making it hard to ride around them. Would be nice if they walked on the appropriate path that its clearly marked out. I know it's a shared path. So way don't they share like other people?
Traz L — Google review
Beautiful little spot to come visit with the whole family or even by yourself. There were picnic tables and plenty of seating available as well for lunch or just to have a seat and watch the view.
Reannan N — Google review
This beach feels so very new kind of adventure. Brings a lot of experience on enjoying the beach. Aightseeing, yachtseeing, playground park, reef and waterbreaker, light house, memorial park, and a musseum. You'll find a public swimming pool near the beach too. A beach with many people who enjoy the beach and the surrounds of tourism who feels an excitement spending time in the beach. Adventure time ! ig : @svrbeetsz

Such a nice, chill spot, love the ocean pool, and the little beach stream. The kiddos played for hours 🩷
Eliza K — Google review
Such a beautiful beach really wild with cliffs and giant gravy pine trees behind. Really dark sand and wild ocean. And then beautiful little rock pools with a swimming pool built into them. Not a lot of parking but great facilities and showers
Jacqueline K — Google review
Really fun place to swim and a great place for fishing. Caught a few salmons out there! The rock pools were a fun place to go when the tide was very low and the views are insanely cool! I loved every part of my trips there except the fact that you need to take a ten minute long trek full of big, sharp rocks to reach the fishing areas. Besides that, everything is pretty much awesome!
Jeremy P — Google review
Gotta love our south coast. Went in winter it was very cold but we had the right clothes / thick windproof jackets ,beanie, scarf and take a blanket. Wasn't many people so very peaceful. Lots of beaches around this area
Taryn B — Google review
Very beautiful and gorgeous. Nice serenity and peaceful environment.
Rujeena R — Google review
a nice little beach tucked away, sand is a bit rough compared to other beaches but it’s got a natural salt water pool by the ocean that is family friendly (shallow and calm) on the right and waves for surfers on the left near the cliff, got showers and washrooms plus life guards.
YY C — Google review
Small beach with large dark sand and pebbles. Small creek (very clear) from rocks is flowing in an ocean. Deep entrance, no shallow water. Rock pool is available. Plenty of parking spots. No toilets or changing rooms.
Elena I — Google review
The beach itself is beautiful. The water is so pretty it almost looks fake & the rock pools are good fun to swim in. There's shower facilities too which is great. Only problem is there's way too many rocks on the shore that you don't see until you're in the water so it's hard to have a decent swim. Plus I'm with optus and I had absolutely no reception down there.

Wow.. its just the best experience. Most scenic kids play areas I have ever seen. We visited this park on Kings Birthday long weekend. While visiting the Sea Cliff Bridge, we visited this park. On one side, there is a beautiful hill with train track. Another side is non-ending enormous sea. It is just beautiful view. Pros : Beautiful view. Parking is just on one side. Nice sitting tables with shades. Automatic toilets are available. Cons: Parking space is very less.
Bakul G — Google review
The park is just opposite the car park of Sea Cliff Bridge. The park has an amazing playground. The toilet facility was really good. There are seating tables for picnics. The views are amazing. You can also see the south coast line trains pass by.
Rizwan F — Google review
I believe most people would park here for the sea cliff bridge through the bushes, even though there’s is a ‘do not enter’ sign!

Park
Moronga Park, located near the sea cliff bridge, offers visitors a close proximity to the ocean and provides an opportunity to take a break and capture scenic photos. The park features a children's playground but lacks restaurants, so it is advisable to bring your own food. While the park itself may not offer much, it offers stunning views of Clifton Mountain from its benches. However, caution must be exercised when visiting in wet conditions as one small mistake could have fatal consequences.
A park that is very closed to the sea cliff bridge, where you can take a break, capture some pictures around. A kids playground is easy to be found. But you hardly can find restaurants around, please prepare yours on your own.
Michael L — Google review
Nothing much in the park as such.. but you turn around to the breath taking view of the mountain - I suppose Clifton. So lovely. There are a couple of benches to sit and soak in.
Joel W — Google review
It's beautiful spot but you have to be very careful when you up there especially when it is raining and the ground is wet. One small mistake can cost you life.

Beach
Sandon Point Beach, located in the Gong area, is a fantastic beach destination with an exquisite rock pool and a beautiful shoreline. It offers various food options nearby, but the main attraction is definitely the beach itself. Visitors can easily spend hours there, engaging in activities such as reading, swimming, and enjoying the scenic views. Fortunately, I have frequented Bulli Beach numerous times during my annual visits to friends on the south coast, and it has never disappointed.
Amazing beach, amazing community.
Mint P — Google review
Got some real wide beaches and surf here, it's great! Just don't go near Slacky Creek, pray it's outlet flow isn't too wide on the day you arrive so you must step in to get across. The pollution ain't the worst part, those sewer gremlins will get you, especially your children. Worst mistake you'll make. Other than that it's a pretty nice beach would recommend.
Adem S — Google review
Clean and quite beach with the cafe near by. There were only few people at the beach. There were surfers and guys with jet-skies. There are lots of picnic benches around by the side of the beach(without shade tho).
