Cathedral Rocks in Kiama is a must-see attraction featuring dramatic basalt rock formations shaped by the waves. These vertical columns, remnants of lava flow eroded by the sea, create a unique and breathtaking sight. Visitors can explore the area by car or on foot along a boardwalk, with the option to walk around the base of the rocks at low tide. The spot also offers great opportunities for photography and drone shots, especially during sunrise and sunset.
This place is so beautiful. Sort of hard to describe. Hopefully the photos will do it justice. Park at the street .. walk about 50 metres down hill over a rock trail till you hit a series of small beaches in between towering cathedral rocks. Absolutely got smashed by the waves.

Great place for sunrise landscape photography. Watch out for the tides before you visit. Parking and amenities available nearby. It has a partial dog friendly area as well.
ChenniChetty N — Google review
Lovely spot to visit on the south coast of NSW. Wish we could’ve stayed a little longer but we’ll definitely return so we can capture the way the light hits the wonderful towering rock formations. Such a tranquil unspoilt spot and we even spotted kangaroo foot prints along the beach.
Isabel S — Google review
If you're a photographer like me, you've got to time this right. You need light, so go in summer, and low tide to get access. My guess is very late in the afternoon. Unfortunately, I was there in winter and low tide would've be at sunset. It's not sign posted but you will see it. Not for people with mobility issues. I returned at the end of February. Got the timing right, low tide around 4-5pm in summer and this time access was easy somewhere around Bombo Beach. Update photos posted.
Joe J — Google review
What an amazing place! Definitely head here at low tide, and enjoy a swim! We saw so many baby box fish! This view is one of a kind and felt really special. Really friendly locals too. We could have spent hours here! Don't miss it!
Frances J — Google review
It was a great spot with interesting rock formations like a cathedral. It also has great rock pools with strong waves washing in. There is also a nearby cave which can have a great unique view towards the Cathedral Rock but you need to check the tides for getting in and getting out. It is such a memorial experience to walk to this spot and do some photography for such stunning scenery. It is around 15 mins walking from the car park to the foreshore toward the spot.
Khanh T — Google review
Absolutely beautiful spot to see some very unique rock formations. You'll see a wonderful combination of spire-like rock towers (from lava and from an old quarry) and lively water pools. I highly recommend taking walks around this area or just going to watch the waves crash into the coast!
Carolyn S — Google review
A short walk from Jones beach. Some unusual rock formations. Great to visit at sun raise and sun set. The shadows create some wonderful effects. Plenty of different nook and cranny to explore. You can also have a swim

Kiama Lighthouse, also known as Kiama Light or Kiama Harbour Light, is a historic and iconic landmark on the NSW South Coast. Situated at over 136 meters above sea level, this active lighthouse was built in the 1880s and offers more than just its picturesque views. It houses a museum and tourist information center, making it an essential stop for visitors to the area.
Beautiful blue sky with the white clouds, awesome! If you're lucky you may see the amazing blowhole. Good luck! 😁
Happy L — Google review
We stopped here here on our way from Sydney to Canberra and the views were stunning. Plenty of parking, and easy to get to. The blow hole was really pumping with the winds and surf. If you're close by definitely try and make the stop.
Chris A — Google review
This place is a hit or miss. You can either be here on a nice day and enjoy the view. Or you can be here on a day where it gets so windy, that if you open your car door it can fling open. It’s a beautiful place and the blowhole is pretty cool. You can walk further down closer to the water. Overall it’s a beautiful place. Would recommend.
H S — Google review
This was a beautiful spot to stop and explore. We drove in from Sydney. I wish we left sooner because there was so much along the way to see, rainforest, breathtaking scenic ocean views, wildlife. While here, the kids explored around in the rocks. My dad and I took the walk from the scenic park area over to see the blow hole. I encourage you to time this right, we didn’t see the blow hole as impressive as it could have been, we didn’t see some action but not much, we went later on the day. Be sure to check the tide! Lots to do around this area, lots of shops, walking, picnic benches to enjoy a meal or snack. So beautiful
Mandy O — Google review
This lighthouse is a popular place for locals and tourists. No entry fees. Great views of the sea and hinterland from here. Plenty of parking with generous time limits. When we were there, we sighted several whales on their migration to Antarctica.

Kiama is a brilliant seaside town with heaps to see. The Blowhole and lighthouse are always worth a visit, and Bombo Quarry absolutely blew me away — the basalt columns and rugged rock formations are incredible in person. The coastal walk to Gerringong is stunning and the whole area has a relaxed, friendly vibe. Great place for a scenic day out.
R S — Google review
For anyone visiting the South Coast around Wollongong and Kiama, the Kiama Lighthouse and Blowhole are must-see attractions. The lighthouse, built in 1887, stands proudly on the headland and offers sweeping views over the coastline and town. Just beside it lies the famous Kiama Blowhole, where, on the right tide and with strong winds, the ocean swells surge through the rock cavity and shoot spectacular jets of water high into the air. On a particularly windy day, the spray can reach visitors standing on the lookout — be prepared to get a little wet!
Kanok C — Google review
Beautiful and peaceful spot with amazing ocean views! The lighthouse is right next to the famous blowhole, which can spray water really high when the tide is right. Great place for photos, a nice walk, and just relaxing by the sea. Easy parking and open 24 hours - perfect for sunrise or sunset visits

Cave
Kiama Blowhole is a renowned natural wonder located in the coastal resort town of Kiama, Australia. Formed by basalt lava flows around 260 million years ago, it is the largest natural blowhole in the world. When conditions are right, this cavern-like fissure shoots water up to 25 meters into the air, creating a spectacular sight that attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists annually.
It was pretty good and interesting to see. It’s a good place to go with family and friends. Amazing scenic views for your perfect photography. You can also see light house.
Kamni S — Google review
Sometimes the journey is more beautiful than the destination. But in this case, both journey and the destination is equally beautiful. Such a relaxing experience. Must visit location for any tourist.
Partha S — Google review
The Kiama Blowhole is one of those natural wonders that truly leaves you amazed! Watching the ocean force its way through the rocks and shoot high into the air is both powerful and thrilling. When the waves are strong, the spray can reach incredible heights, it’s like nature putting on a show! We were lucky to visit on a windy day, so the blowhole was really active. The sound and rush of the water bursting through was unforgettable. There’s a safe viewing platform, and the area is family-friendly with plenty of space to walk around and take photos. Right nearby, there's a beautiful lighthouse, green grassy areas for a picnic, and cafes within walking distance. The whole town of Kiama has a lovely coastal charm, but the blowhole is definitely the highlight. Whether you're a nature lover, a photographer, or just passing through, the Kiama Blowhole is worth the stop. Just make sure to check the tide times for the best experience!
Shanuka R — Google review
Interesting natural phenomenon with great views. A bit over-touristed now though - when I went you couldn't move for the number of people there.
Grant S — Google review
This is a wonderful place near Sydney. If you are looking for nature, beautiful scenery, the lighthouse and the blowhole, everything around there is spectacular. You can have a picnic or bbq, and there are also many restaurants in the area. It has parking and spectacular views. Highly recommended.
KattyA E — Google review
We loved Kiama, the blow hole and the rock pool, and cafe on hill. Walking to so many places is easy.
Melissa H — Google review
This popular blowhole is visited by locals and tourists. Located near the lighthouse, it can produce some spectacular water blows. This time when we were there, the tide was not up, hence not providing enough head to produce blows. I have earlier posted images from previous occasion when amazing blows were seen. As a compensation, we did see pods of Humpback whales on their journey to Antarctica - amazing rare sight indeed. Entry is free. If you don't fancy walking down stairs , you can view the blows from car parking level
S V — Google review
Really nice place to stroll and enjoy the views. The Blowhole is not the only thing you see; walk around to see from different angles. Really recommend place to visit. Even day trip from Sydney is doable.

Along the way, hikers can enjoy stunning beaches, dramatic rock formations, and iconic landmarks like the Kiama Blowhole, Cathedral Rocks, Bombo Beach, Little Blowhole, and Werri Lagoon. If visiting Kiama.. This is a must do. The scenery is epic and you'll be sure to see a dolphin or two , a blow hole or two , a beach or two , a cafe or two.. seriously.. put on you sneakers and do this walk. You won't regret it .. either south or north of the main town.

The Kiama Coast Walk is a spectacular trail stretching approximately 22 kilometers from Minnamurra to Gerringong, offering breathtaking ocean views, dramatic cliffs, and stunning beaches. Walking this scenic route with family and friends today was an unforgettable experience, filled with adventure, fresh sea air, and plenty of photo opportunities. We started our journey near Minnamurra River, where the calm waters and lush greenery created a peaceful beginning. As we made our way south, we passed Bombo Headland, with its striking basalt columns formed by ancient volcanic activity. The waves crashing against the cliffs added to the dramatic beauty of the landscape. Reaching Kiama, we stopped to admire the Kiama Blowhole, which put on an impressive display, sending water high into the air. Nearby, the Kiama Lighthouse stood tall against the bright blue sky, offering a perfect spot for a rest and some great photos. Continuing along the track, we passed Easts Beach and Loves Bay, where rolling green hills met the sea, creating postcard-worthy views. Finally, we arrived at Werri Beach in Gerringong, feeling accomplished and in awe of the stunning coastline. The Kiama Coast Walk is an absolute must for nature lovers, blending adventure, exercise, and the raw beauty of Australia’s South Coast.

Andy C — Google review
I walked the southern section with my son yesterday. It's an area of stunning scenery. My biggest problem was the slope of the path across the path, which puts quite a strain on your feet. There's a few seats, but not enough. It would be good to add extra seats, particularly at the top of the hills, with some shading as well.
Jeanette B — Google review
Beautiful place; we went there for whale watching. We heard lots of people have spotted whales at Kiama blowholes, but we got unlucky.
Mahnoor A — Google review
Amazing and beautiful walk. Easy walking with seats along the path. Photos from whale watching platform looks over Jones Beach up to the hill and views over Minnamurra River. Wonderful place to chill and take in amazingly beautiful scenery.

During a visit to this coastal town, this a walk not be missed, so nice to enjoy the coast on well paved walkways so close to town.

Little Blowhole, located in Tingira Crescent, is a smaller blowhole compared to the main one in Kiama. It may not be as centrally located or as large, but it offers consistent and impressive water spouts, especially when the wind and tide come from the northeast. The area is home to some of the South Coast's best beach breaks and surf talent, making it a must-visit for surfing enthusiasts.
It’s little, and it blows. Lives up to its name in every way. Nature’s cheeky party trick, one moment you’re admiring the view, the next you’re wearing a light mist facial, free of charge. Smaller than its famous big brother, but far more entertaining if you enjoy surprise spritzes and the occasional squeal from unsuspecting tourists. Highly recommended.
Suzie M — Google review
Amazing experience - got wonderful pictures- but the most beautiful ones are not on the phone but etched in our memories. Such beauty in nature and just listening to the waves hitting the shore put you into a tranquil place.
Shane S — Google review
Beautiful FREE place to visit just outside of Kiama about 10 minutes drive south of the Big Blowhole (which only blows under certain conditions) - the Little Blowhole is always blowing, the height varies on the size of the wave approaching. Platform viewing area or walk down right near the waters edge. Always blowing no matter what the weather - well worth the look. Off-road car parking lot.
Lisa ( — Google review
Amazing natural phenomenon that will give you a thrill when a nice set of waves hit. We went to both the the large and small blow hole and the small still gives a punch in smaller conditions where as the large blow hole requires larger eaves to get going
Christian B — Google review
No tickets needed to visit this place and no card payments required. Beautiful location and easy to get to. The area also has a big blow hole and can be a good walk for those that like a hike.
Aaron W — Google review
Been watching the weather page for wave swell direction. Today was near perfect with south east 3 metre swell.
Stephen K — Google review
Great place to see the wonders of nature at play. After a visit to the Kiama blowhole you really must see the little blowhole working its heart out for you, just a few km down the road (2 points to the south) it performs better and higher than the main blow hole.
Dodgie B — Google review
Little Blowhole in Kiama was a fascinating spot to visit! Unlike the more famous Kiama Blowhole, this one was smaller but just as impressive, with strong bursts of water shooting up through the rocks. The best part was how active it was—since it works best with certain wind conditions, it was constantly spraying water while I was there. The surrounding coastal views were stunning, making it a great place to relax and enjoy nature. If you’re in Kiama, this hidden gem is definitely worth a stop!

Bombo Headland Geological Site, located just north of Kiama, is a renowned geological marvel with distinctive basalt walls and columns that create a moonscape-like appearance. Once a quarry site for blue metal in the late 19th century, the area now showcases captivating rock formations shaped by centuries of erosion. Accessible via a short bush track from Cliff Drive, the site offers stunning views and opportunities to observe wildlife along the way.
This place is absolutely incredible. The rock formations are some of the coolest I’ve ever seen. If you enjoy photography , you’ll be in heaven. Toilets , picnic tables in the carpark area, walking path to follow around the headland. I would recommend going on a cooler day as it is quite open with no shade , but totally worth it. Also dog friendly.
Jeanie — Google review
Bombo Headland is a breathtaking coastal location near Kiama, known for its dramatic basalt rock formations and rich geological history. The unique landscape, shaped by ancient volcanic activity and past quarrying, resembles something from another planet. It’s a popular spot for photographers, especially during sunrise and sunset, when the light enhances the surreal beauty of the rock columns and crashing waves. Easily accessible with nearby parking, it’s a great place for a short walk, sightseeing, or simply soaking in the power of nature. A must-visit on the NSW South Coast!
T J — Google review
It was one of the more unusual beaches we went to. The rock formations were very unique. And there were rock pools behind the rock formations, because when the waves crashed against the rocks, the splashes from the water created big rock pools as well. You can climb on the rocks, but just be careful with your footing, as they have very sharp edges and there are a lot of loose ones too. It was windy when we got there and quite cool. Definitely bring water with you when you are there, as the wind and the spray from the sea will leave your throat and lips feeling dry. A hat and sunscreen is strongly recommended (if you don't get sunburn, you will get wind burn). Overall, it was an enjoyable outing and highly recommended for the geology enthusiast
Shally K — Google review
Very beautiful area. Can be accessed after a short walk from the carpark. Be careful not to get too close as people have drowned after being swept off the rocks in the past.

🌊 Bombo Headland Geological Site is an absolute gem in Kiama! The dramatic rock formations and breathtaking coastal views make it a must-see spot for nature lovers and photographers. The unique basalt columns and rugged cliffs are stunning, especially during sunrise or sunset. It’s an easy walk with lots of great photo opportunities. Just be cautious on windy days, as the waves can be intense. A truly remarkable place that showcases nature’s raw beauty. Highly recommend a visit!

Bombo Headland Quarry is a natural masterpiece! It is a place that truly stirs the soul. Kiama Seaside Markets is a must-visit for those who love vibrant marketplaces. Taking place on the third Sunday of each month, these markets offer a wide array of locally-grown produce, homeware, art, and souvenirs. Set against the backdrop of the beach near the town center, visitors can explore stalls featuring health and wellness products as well as regional goods.
The Kiama Seaside Markets are great and I would recommend to anyone with friends and family who want to check out many cute stalls. There’s a wide range of items for all ages. As it’s by the ocean, the view is beautiful and a great place to relax. From experience, at the stalls everyone is very friendly and welcoming. There’s lots of handmade items being sold as well, and it’s interesting to see what people have on sale. The prices are a different range depending on what you are looking at. Some items are a bit more expensive, but it depends what it is.

It's an ideal spot to relax, unwind, and connect with nature while potentially spotting wallabies or native birds. Additionally, the gardens are dog-friendly with amenities for furry friends.
Gorgeous shady walk through a beautiful forest. Lots of benches to have a sit as well as bigger grassed areas for picnicking. It's dog friendly with dog bowls scattered throughout and a free doggy bag and bin system.

A hidden gem. Sealed track with slight elevation for half of it but suitable for prams. You can walk your dog here. Lovely natural native trees and bush and can hear the birds. So relaxing. No signs so bit hard to find. It’s right next the sporting fields. Worth coming to get away from the touristy areas
Shez H — Google review
Nice spot to take have a short wander. One section is quite steep to get up but still should be fine for almost everyone. Unfortunately it's not a loop so you have to turn around and come back when you get to the end. Lots of space just off the track to kick a ball around and also a couple of tables for a picnic or something.
Richard Z — Google review
What a lovely walk and garden this is. Native vegetation, walking paths (reasonably flat but maybe not accessibly so) and lawn areas with bench seats and lots of little nooks and cranny's to sit and read or write or read and write or draw and listen to a podcast, or write and listen to a game of a league or test cricket... Options are as endless as these gardens are beautiful and with such promise.

Beyond the burgers, Hungry Monkey Kiama fuels your day with surprisingly great coffee and flavour-packed burritos. Don't sleep on their fritters either – a delicious and satisfying addition to their coastal offerings. The staff is as amazing as their food.

It’s been about eight years since I was last in Kiama and my first stop in town was The Hungry Monkey. This cafe consistently puts out fantastic food and unbeatable coffee. We stopped here for lunch after driving down from Sydney and I decided to get an oat flat white and the morning glory bowl with poached eggs. The bowl was fantastic and I felt a lot healthier after eating it. The coffee was top-notch. I’d recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Kiama.

Food was great coffe top notch! we went here twice and it is a very popular place understandably. Has an intentional understated low-key old school house vibe. Siting out on the walkway on old park bench tables in June wasn't the coziest of experiences but good spot to catch up with large groups over brunch.

Had their Single royale burger 8/10. Friend had hot cakes wasn't expecting to be extremely salty. Mistook the salt flakes to be coconut flakes. Mouth became extremely dry after hotcakes no sugar or syrup could save him. Had the flu shot and an aerated latte. Lovely service by staff!

Both me and my partner both ordered burgers, cooked to perfection. Our table waiter was super nice and helped us out with all our request. Ordered a chai latte and Nutella hot chocolate both were made well and came out quick! Will be coming back.

Was down the coast over the easter long weekend and so glad we discovered this place. The young guy seating guests and taking orders in the outside area was very efficient and professional. Food was excellent and portions were appropriate. Will make a stop again the next time we are in the area and try the other dishes.

The staff here are not only good looking but also friendly and efficient. They greet you politely without being over the top, and clean the tables quickly and thoroughly. If you want to show tourists the beauty of the Aussie coast and the kindness of Aussie people, this is definitely the place to bring them. The food was honestly way better than I expected. absolutely delicious!

We stopped in a couple of times whilst visiting Kiama and the staff were always welcoming even when very busy! But, even better yet, the food was great and the coffee spot on! Great little cafe with a lovely sea view perspective.

Recommended as the best coffee in Kiama, I had to try it out. There's no doubt that this place is advantaged by the amazing views of the bay and I arrived on a particularly stunning morning. The barista must have heard my order because the flat white was delivered just after I had sat down. Coffee was not as flavoursome as I desired but this paled into insignificance with the arrival of the hot cakes. Even for a sweet tooth carb loading for an event, the hotcakes dish defeated me. Again the goods were delivered in quick time. Highly recommended.

Boy oh boy, where to start. Staff - brilliant. Attentive, kind, personable. Food - probably the best Avo toast I’ve ever had. My friend’s breakfast was also amazing, according to him. Campos coffee always a treat and the baristas make it well here. Location - stunning! Absolutely stunning. Atmosphere - buzzy, uplifting, salt-water smelling 🤍 10/10… best believe I’ll be back.

Wonderful Breakfast and Drinks, Spectacular Views, Excellent Service If you're in Kiama and looking for a great breakfast place, look no further than Penny Whistlers. The location is great overlooking the inlet and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Best of all is the food and there are plenty of options for everyone. Our children had the Eggs Bene Penny, and an Omelette and being vegan, we had the Bird Bowl. Everything thing was spectacular. The BB had a whole half avocado with mixed brown rice, sprouts, fresh grape tomatoes, toasted kale, and a spectacular julienned carrots and beetroot in a wonderful sweet balsamic glaze, along with some sort of really creative avocado/green vinaigrette. All told , excellent. The Chai tea was also brilliant. What a wonderful breakfast Thank you Penny Whistlers.
Lali K — Google review
I’ve had breakfast here a couple of times and typically enjoy the food, but today’s breakfast was pretty disappointing…the “smashed” avocado which costs $5 looks and tasted like avocado from a tube…I’d prefer to be told that there’s no Avocado and to pick something else. Also the GF toast was pretty stale, there are so many good options around now for GF bread so definitely an improvement to be made there
Sophie P — Google review
Although the café wasn’t full or busy, we ended up waiting more than 45 minutes after ordering and still didn’t receive our food. To our surprise, guests who arrived after us were served first, even though they had ordered the same items. Apart from the nice location, there’s nothing particularly special about this café, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you value your time. There are plenty of other cafés nearby. I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews, but honestly, if we had known how long the wait would be, we wouldn’t have chosen this place. That said, if you don’t have other plans afterwards and are mainly there to chat in a group, the view is lovely and it could be enjoyable.

Kendalls Beach is a sandy cove known for fishing and surfing, with seasonal lifeguards and nearby picnic tables. It's located near Surf Beach and offers a holiday park with cabins, caravan, and camping sites. The beach provides a protected area from the wind and features public toilets at the amenities block in the middle of the cabins. It's not heavily frequented by mainstream tourists to Kiama, making it a hidden gem along the coast walk.

Awesome beach!! We really loved it!! The waves are really nice and very fun. There's tonnes of big waves where everyone was body surfing. The water is nice and warm too once you get in. We spent like 2 hours just having fun here. It was absolutely amazing.

Beautiful spot. Nice break for kids, plenty of clean white sand and beautiful view back to Kiama lighthouse. Cabins right on the beach look amazing and there's a little playground just off the sand

A real gem. Not for the mainstream tourist to Kiama. Waves can get gnarly and rough. Public toilets in the holiday park are good. Sand is good. Grass area is good. Small playground. Get fish and chips from up on the main road and enjoy them here. Also go for a walk around the heads on the right foot a good explore

Protected pocket where you can hide from the wind. Public Toilets at the amenities block in the middle of the cabins. Nearest takeaway walk up the winding path at the north end (not the huge stairs) and walk up Chapman St turn left then right after 2 houses thru a driveway to the shops. Great stop along the coast walk and perfect in the morning. Patrolled in summer.

What a cracker location. Be warned, you’ll fall for this place quicker than you can get into the water on a cold winters morning. I thoroughly enjoy this place. Absolutely stunning views from Saddleback Mountain Lookout! The drive up is scenic, with winding roads and beautiful countryside. Once at the top, the panoramic views are breathtaking—you can see rolling farmlands, Kiama’s coastline, and even as far as Wollongong on a clear day. The lookout is well-maintained with easy access and multiple vantage points, making it a great spot for photos or just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Unlike some crowded tourist spots, it’s quiet and relaxing. Definitely worth the visit if you're in the area!

The drive up to the mountain via saddleback mountain rd itself offers beautiful views. I think it’s one of the best scenic drives around. Once you reach the top, you can park your car and walk up to three different viewing platforms. The western view is partially obstructed because of trees. Walk up to the northern platform and it provides stunning views. The whole south coast upto Wollongong is laid out before you including lake Illawarra. Anyone know anything about these gate locks? I’m Curious how this works.

Located at 1 Blowhole Point Road, Kiama, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺, Edit - Have returned quite a few times now, at various times of the day. Again, I was happy with the service, food and overall experience. So were the other people in my group. Would still recommend. 😃 A great little spot for a quick meal or like me, a beautiful breakfast. I had fried eggs and bacon on toast which was delicious. The food was delicious and flavourful. The views were amazing and the staff were friendly and helpful. Had a great meal before going for a walk to the Kiama Blowhole which was just a very short Walk away. Very popular with the locals I believe which is always a very good sign. Thumbs Up!!!👍👍😋😊

From the moment we walked in for breakfast until we left, everything was amazing. The friendly waitress welcomed us with a smile and a Good Morning. The coffee was delicious and the food was outstanding. A huge compliment to the chef, the poached eggs we had, were the best we have ever tasted. We were so impressed with our breakfast on the Saturday we returned for breakfast this morning, Sunday 19th October. Again we couldn’t fault the service or food. Very happy to support this diner whenever we are in Kiama. We will definitely be back.

Cute cafe near the Kiama Blowhole. We stopped here for breakfast. They were very busy, so it took awhile to get our food. I ordered the Big Reg, which is a form of the Big Breakfast only without any bacon or sausage, which had to be ordered as a side. I also had a cappuccino. The food was good. We wanted to sit out of the sun, and it was too windy to have table umbrellas up, so we sat indoors. Service was friendly and they worked hard. Since it was an Australian holiday, there was a surcharge added to the bill. It's only a short walk to see the Blowhole, a little ocean pool, and the beach.

Parfait Patisserie is a charming bakery that offers a delightful selection of pastries and bread. The aroma of freshly baked goods fills the air, creating an ambiance reminiscent of Parisian boulangeries. Visitors can indulge in treats like almond croissants and peach & rhubarb Danish, which are praised for their delicious flavors. While some patrons note that the pastries may benefit from reheating for improved texture, others appreciate the friendly service and clean, inviting atmosphere.
We came here because it’s known for having one of the best croissants in Australia — and it really didn’t disappoint! The croissant was soft and fluffy (just how I like it), not too crispy, it depends on your taste, but I loved it. We tried the plain croissant and the blueberry danish, both gone in 5 minutes haha. Ended up getting more for takeaway, the almond croissant and the jalapeno & cheese sourdough. The sourdough was so good we could eat it as a snack! (Sorry, no photos, we ate too fast 😂)

Really nice coffee. Their large ☕ cup is just the right size to enjoy the full flavour of the coffee. The 🍰 are delicious. Generally the same cakes as other bakeries, but very fresh. Pies are very nice too. Get your daily fresh sourdough bread 🍞. I'd like to see more adventurous cakes like Tuga Patisserie in Alexandria. Just a thought 🤔. But always enjoy the visit even if it's just for coffee ☕.

Finally got to visit and it did not disappoint. The cafe is spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. On a sunday lunch time all seats are take and there is a line. Everything looks delicious so I was spoilt for choice. I the end I went with the weekly special (a hazelnut white choc kiafi) 2 croissants and a sourdough baguette. And a coffee. The coffee was great and so we're the croissants. The baguette waa fresh and tasty and oh my good was a pleased with myself for bypassing the Danish and choosing the special. So delicious. Until next time as there definitely will be a next time

The bread an pastries here all look amazing. We also enjoyed our meal, a couple of pies with a side of the sticky date croissant and a blueberry custard tart with fresh blueberries 😋🫐 It can get very busy on a weekend but they serve you quickly and there is not a long wait for your order.

We travelled here specifically to have the award winning croissant and it was in fact undeniably delicious. If it weren’t for the truly dreadful coffee we were served, I would have given 5 stars. The coffee blend did not taste in the slightest like coffee. Perhaps best to have a chai latte. Also, the cashier was strangely surly and unwelcoming despite our big smiles and clear enthusiasm (we were eager). I understand this is now a trend, but just saying …

I was also pleased to see lots of vegetarian options and enjoy ONA coffee.

My mother and I have dined at Otis several times now over a few months, so good that we keep returning, it came highly recommended by a local lady. Owner Nicky and the team are so very friendly and inviting. The food, coffee, service and variety of very fresh food is exceptional to say the least, also the cafe is spotless, from the shop front to the back of very open kitchen. So much to choose from, though I must say my favourites are the arancini, served with your choice of salads, I love the broccolini and eggplant dishes, so very bright and fresh. The serving sizes are also very generous, one day when I’m not overly full, we will need to try the scrumptious looking deserts. We love sitting out in the sun under the umbrellas though inside is also lovely and spacious. 11/10!!

The market offers a picturesque backdrop with a community vibe where friends and family meet up for their weekly grocery shopping.

OFIO V — Google review
This one is a much larger, 50-metre pool at the northern end of Black Beach Reserve. It's more of a traditional ocean bath, offering a great space for proper swimming and laps. It's often shadier due to the cliff face, which can be lovely on a hot summer day. It has good facilities, including disability access. While it's fantastic for a more serious swim, sometimes it can get a bit of debris from the ocean, so it's worth checking conditions or council cleaning schedules if you're particular. Both offer a unique ocean swimming experience, giving you the best of both worlds – the natural salt water without the full force of the open ocean waves. They're a real highlight of Kiama!

The car park on the map has only enough space for 3 or 4 cars. Better to park on the nearby street. The trail is relatively easy, 4/10. The huge open field and ocean view makes the walk a quite unique experience.

That’s one good place to visit. Very close to Kiama Blowhole as well as the Little Blowhole. Though, please he mindful that you need to walk a few 100m to get to the most scenic view place. You could hike & go to a few other good spots from here. It is really windy here sometimes but the view would be just worth it.

Bird watching area
Spring Creek Bird Hide is a well-located observation spot situated between a lagoon and freshwater lake, offering close-up views of various water birds such as cormorants, chicks, moorhens, coots, and swans. Accessible from Glenbrook Drive or via a 1km walk from the junction of the cemetery and highway walkway near the bridge, this hide provides an opportunity for undisturbed bird watching.
Great spot to walk to. Birds don't know you are there. 1km walk from junction of cemetary and highway walkway near the bridge, just follow the worn path. You can also access from Glenbrook drive. Feel free to check out google maps navigation. It is not quite correct but you can provide feedback which will help.

I think an appropriate name would be Spring Creek Bat Hide. Was enjoying the lovely scenery until my partner and I looked up to see bats as far as the eye could see. It was like Alfred Hitchcock's film, but with bats. Not for the faint hearted. Pack spare undergarments. PS I saw two birds and they were lovely.

An observation hut that is located between the freshwater lake and lagoon enables a close-up view of the many water birds that inhabit the area. Clearly marked grass pathway to follow to the hide.

It's known for its picturesque views, making it one of the best restaurants to visit in Kiama Municipality. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a casual meal with friends, Silica Restaurant & Bar provides an inviting atmosphere for all occasions.
Didn’t disappoint at all. We had a three course set with the pasta night set, absolutely amazing values. The king prawn tempura was godsent, so big and fresh. Also loved the fresh salad and the peach dessert. Would recommend!
Fei — Google review
My partner and I chose to celebrate our 4-year anniversary at this restaurant based on its high Google review rating. Sadly, the experience fell far short of our expectations. We opted for the set menu (as pictured), but the portions were disappointingly small. To make matters worse, the waiting time between each dish was unreasonably long. Our dinner lasted over two hours, but 90 minutes of that was spent waiting, as it only took about five minutes to finish each dish due to the tiny portions.
Mario V — Google review
We went for lunch and we both had the fish and chips and it was amazing! The best fish and chips I have had to date! Washed down with a great glass of moscato! I recommend giving this place a try. We will definitely come back when we visit Kiama again.

We loved the food and service today at Silica. I had the Ginger Oysters and Grilled barramundi superb!!! The wine list complements the menu perfectly. The playlist of background music was good too. The service was fast and was never left with an empty glass.
Ian B — Google review
Went for dinner, which is a tasting menu, and the food was good, modern Australian which isn't my favourite cuisine as I prefer bolder flavours, but was tasty. I especially loved the dessert. Service was good, and with a full restaurant the dishes came out at regular intervals - the kitchen must run like clockwork! The ambiance was difficult to digest though, lots of concrete and wood, lots of echo, which meant the moment it was full, I had to raise my voice for my partner to hear, and the servers were leaning in and talking in our ears to ask our drink orders. Good for food, terrible of you want a romantic date with conversation.

What a lovely day in Kiama. Gorgeous sunny day and just the right temperature. We called in at Silica for a nice family meal and very glad we did. There’s a nice view of the water there from on high upstairs. All meals were terrific here. My barramundi was a beauty. Cooked perfectly including with wonderful crispy skin. Rick Stein himself couldn’t have done it better. The world’s most beautiful woman loved her two entree size meals as well - a very tender calamari and an engagingly good eggplant dish. Two of our party had fish and chips and declared them very good. Another had gnocchi and enjoyed it immensely. Our coffees to finish were very tidy as well. Service was lovely throughout. Out predominant server from Holland was excellent. This is a very sound bistro. Highly recommended.

Nestled just off Jamberoo Mountain Road, the Minnamurra Rainforest Centre is a popular destination for nature enthusiasts. The elevated boardwalk offers a 1.6km loop through sub-tropical rainforest, providing wheelchair accessibility and opportunities to spot lyrebirds and wallabies. Visitors can also enjoy a refreshing walk to the falls, with slightly cooler temperatures and relatively manageable terrain.
Just fabulous experience of a rainforest. Visual and olfactory immersion. The walkway climbs 190 metres to the stunning waterfalls, with lovely viewing spots and plenty of seats along the way. Only at he very end re there steps, otherwise just slopes which at times means some moderate slopes that mean taking time or having a rest on a nearby seat. Wonderful range of people going up to the falls, from all different cultures, young groups, parents with children (pusher friendly) and older folk, and lovely interchanges and mutual encouragements. The magnificent environment seems to bring out friendliness! We enjoy a lot of different national park walkways, and this one is one of the top walks
Hans R — Google review
The walk is quite serene. You will spot a lyrebird or two in the shrub if you are lucky. The waterfall at the end of the walk is wonderful with a great photo opportunity from the spacious viewing deck. The path is solid and fully built up, but be warned that it is steep in parts.
Thomas L — Google review
Really nice rain forest walk that is well set out. There is some uphill at times but the easy walk should be doable for most people. The harder walk is a lot steeper and i didn’t try that one. We saw some lyrebirds and water dragons. You can hear lots of birds throughout the forest. Would definitely come again, and very family friendly.
Reuben — Google review
We have been coming here as a family for years ; the visitor centre is informative and offers snacks, beverages and well considered souvenirs; the rainforest walk is on raised boardwalks and the waterfall is spectacular; a good uphill walk but accessible for all with plenty of seats and rest areas , a great rainforest introduction, but definitely worth revisiting time and time again ! It does get really busy , so we would recommend weekdays or early mornings to get the best experience!
Rodd F — Google review
Minnamurra Rainforest Walk is an absolute gem on the NSW South Coast! From the moment you step onto the path, you're enveloped in truly lush, vibrant vegetation. It feels like stepping into another world, with towering trees, ancient ferns, and the rich sounds of the rainforest all around you. The walking paths are incredibly well-maintained, making for an easy and enjoyable stroll, even for those with limited mobility (though some sections to the falls are steeper). The elevated boardwalks are fantastic for getting a close-up view of the canopy and the various creeks. What really stands out is the descriptive signage throughout the walk. We learned so much about the unique flora and fauna, and it really enriched the experience. The informative visitor centre at the start is also excellent, with friendly staff who can provide helpful tips and more context about the rainforest. All day parking costs $12 and is fair for about 3 hours of quality time. A truly worthwhile visit for nature lovers of all ages. We loved every minute of it!
Arnold M — Google review
Good walk and waterfall, beautiful rainforest. Lyre bird track is closed for repairs and upgrade but the track to the waterfall is open. Note that this is mostly uphill to the falls and gets quite steep around the 3/4 mark but worth it. Maybe take stops along the way if challenged.
Joseph D — Google review
Decided to go for a hike with my daughter today, parking was easily accessible & cost $12 a car per entry. Hike was quite challenging at times but we made it to the waterfall which was very beautiful. We enjoyed nature at its best & would come back again for another hike soon!

Very well maintained trail. However it's a pretty steep walk for a relatively smaller waterfall, some of the others nearby like Fitzroy and Carrington are bigger and much easier to visit.

Tucked away on a quiet side street off the main road, this spot offers a delightful selection of food and sweets. We ordered a long black and a house-made chocolate brownie. I’m usually cautious with black coffee, but this one was a pleasant surprise—smooth, well-balanced, and with just the right amount of kick to re-energise us. The brownie was exceptional—baked on-site, it was rich without being overly sweet, perfectly fudgy in the centre with a light crunch on the outside. One of the best I’ve had in a long time. Bombo Beach is a serene and stunning coastal spot located near Bombo Quarry and the Boneyard at Bombo Headland. It offers a quieter alternative to Kiama's main beach, boasting beautiful views of the Kiama city and its lighthouse. The beach features larger waves, making it ideal for surfers, although there is also a freshwater inlet with a shallow pool suitable for families. Visitors can enjoy ample parking, public toilets, and the opportunity to witness breathtaking sunsets.
Bombo Beach is without a doubt one of the most stunning beaches in Kiama—rugged, expansive, and incredibly scenic. It’s also a fantastic spot for experienced surfers, with consistent waves and plenty of space to catch a break without the crowds. However, it's important to note that this beach is not patrolled (unless it’s summer) and the presence of strong rips makes it unsuitable for inexperienced swimmers. If you’re not a confident swimmer, it’s best to enjoy the beauty of Bombo from the shore. That said, it’s the perfect place for a walk, surf, picnic or simply to soak up the raw coastal beauty that makes this part of the South Coast so special.

Bombo Beach is a stunning stretch of coastline located just north of Kiama on the South Coast of New South Wales. Known for its raw, untamed beauty, this beach offers golden sands, powerful surf, and dramatic rock formations that make it a standout destination for nature lovers and photographers alike. The beach is popular among experienced surfers due to its consistent waves and exposed conditions. The surf can be intense, so it’s best suited for confident swimmers and surfers, especially outside of patrolled hours. During the summer months, lifeguards are usually present, offering a safe swimming area for visitors. What sets Bombo Beach apart is its striking volcanic rock formations at the southern end. These ancient basalt columns create a surreal, almost otherworldly landscape—perfect for exploring or capturing on camera during sunrise or sunset. Bombo is also pet-friendly, with a designated off-leash area making it ideal for dog owners. Public amenities including toilets, showers, and parking are available, adding to the beach’s convenience. With its combination of wild scenery, surf culture, and natural charm, Bombo Beach is a must-visit for those seeking a unique coastal experience. Whether you’re there to surf, explore, or simply relax, Bombo offers something memorable for everyone.

I’m sitting here in my mobility scooter, the throne they can’t take from me no matter how many times they try. Cigarette in one hand, 2-litre Pepsi in the other (my fuel, my shield), binoculars clenched in my extra hand — yes, I have more than two hands when I need them — and Meghan Markle folded neatly into my other palm. She’s here because I allow her to be. I’m watching for the whales. Not animals. Not anymore. Government operatives disguised as sea life, moving under orders they think I don’t understand. My binoculars may only have 2x zoom, but my eyes see through everything. I know the codes. I know who’s real and who’s pretending. And then — a flash. A whale, a spy, a shape in the water. No — it’s my reflection, distorted in the scooter’s mirror. They’ve been using reflections to confuse me for years. But I am still ahead of them. Legally, they’re not whales yet. But I know the paperwork’s in motion. A sound to my left. A lighter flick — that’s a signal. I turn. There he is: a large man, easily the size of two adult blue whales. Sitting on the bench like he owns it, a Green Woolies bag pulsing like a beacon beside him. He thinks I don’t know he’s here for me. He thinks. Then he stands. The ground quakes — or maybe I do. He walks to the edge of the platform. The audacity. He relieves his bladder like some ritual and then leaps into the ocean, joining the herd. Swimming with them. No shame. No hesitation. Gone. I sit in my scooter. Furious. Awestruck. Betrayed. Vindicated. All at once. This is grace. This is power. This is why the world fears me and needs me at the same time. Five stars. Nothing less. Nothing more. I didn’t see whales — I saw truth. And no one else would’ve survived it. 🚬🐳🍷🙌

It is a wonderful location for observing whales breaching the ocean. One does not even need to utilize ferries to view the whales, as they come up quite close. There is ample parking available, although caution is advised due to the proximity of the cliff.

Stunning views with a little cemetery full of beautiful rose gardens and lush green hill background. Further down and towards the north is the whale watching platform which is obstructed by the bushland in front. Not sure if you would be able to see any whales from it. Ideal for nature lovers, photographers, and families, it’s a must-visit spot that showcases the raw beauty of Australia’s coastline. Whether under sunny skies or during stormy weather, the Kiama Blowhole promises an unforgettable experience that highlights the power and majesty of nature.

Excellent beach with good waves for surfers. The beach was quiet without many tourists. Very good for a day out with family and friends. There were cormorants and seagulls staying around. They provided many photo opportunities. This place was a heaven and very relaxing.

This place was so scenic and beautiful. I walked along here for a while. It was great and I really enjoyed listening to the waves as I went along. The tall trees are so humbling to me. I highly recommend coming here. The milk and honey cafe which is along the walk is awesome also. They have great food.

With its impressive surf breaks at the northern end, it’s a haven for surfers looking to catch some waves while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding headlands.
Nice clean beach with a surf lifesaving operation. A play park for the kids. A short walk to the shops if you want take away or an ice-cream. Also has an area you can take your dog's. Best of all it is an easy walk to Cathedral rock.

While I enjoy visiting the beach, I've noticed it could use some attention in terms of cleanliness, particularly due to an abundance of wood spikes that require careful navigation while walking. Perhaps it's quieter on weekdays due to people being at work, but it does offer a serene atmosphere. The high waves make it ideal for surfing enthusiasts, which is a plus. I appreciate that they've designated separate areas for dog walking, ensuring a pleasant experience for all visitors.

Dangerous beach for swimming when waves are rough. Sandbars & rips can be unpredictable at Surf Beach Kiama. Jan 2013 & Oct 2023 saw multiple person rescues here. Don't swim here when rough, by yourself, if lifesavers not in attendance or outside of the flags. If you get into difficulty, NEVER swim against a rip, you'll tire quickly & probably drown. Go with the rip (as scary as it seems at first), float on your back using your hands to assist floatation, conserve your energy, concentrate on your breathing & staying afloat. The rip will eventually fade, then raise a hand for assistance if needed. Otherwise swim back to beach at an angle to avoid any futher rips.

Nestled in the picturesque Gerringong village, Crooked River Winery is the largest winery on the South Coast. The winery offers a wide variety of table wines and boasts stunning views of the surrounding vines and rolling green hills. Visitors can enjoy locally brewed beers at Stoic Brewery or immerse themselves in a wholefood experience at Buena Vista Farm, which offers tours and workshops in a lush, verdant environment.
Crooked River Resort is such a beautiful and peaceful place. It has a lovely natural ambiance with stunning views of the hills, a charming little house nearby, a small creek, and a mix of gardens and farmland that make it feel truly serene. There’s greenery everywhere, and the open space with a swing adds to the relaxing vibe. Parking was easy too – always a bonus! The oysters were super fresh, and the Southern chicken burger was packed with flavor. We even picked up a few bottles of their wine to take home – absolutely delicious! Overall, it was a calm and refreshing experience. Definitely a spot I’d love to visit again.

My husband and I recently got married at the winery’s beautiful new venue and all I can say is wow! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations—the stunning space, the incredible staff, the delicious food, and the flawless service. Rachel, who supported us through the planning process, is truly one in a million. She was patient, friendly, and genuinely cared about making our wedding everything we had dreamed of. Thanks to her and the entire team, the day was seamless, stress-free, and so special. We are beyond impressed and loved every moment of our experience. We couldn’t recommend this venue more highly to anyone considering it for their wedding-you will be in the best hands.

The revamped restaurant and bar is beautiful, and the friendly staff + magnificent food is as good as ever! We had a site visit with Rachel who is like a superhero that can do so many things at once—still giving us the proper time of day despite a busy long weekend lunch service. We love that you can choose to dine on a picnic mat on the lawn or at a sit down in the restaurant. Food is always fresh and delicious. Plated in a rustic style, yet the flavour combos are always so modern! We’ve celebrated many milestones here and can’t wait to keep coming back!

Fantastic long lunch at the restaurant, great wines, food was tasty and well presented. The girls on the floor were also very attentive and were great hosts! There is also a more casual side where you can enjoy snacks, charcuterie and a tasting overlooking the vineyard if you don’t want to dine at the restaurant. Will be coming back here next time we are in the area!

We absolutely loved this place!!! Such a beautiful venue with stunning views. The wine tasting was really great aswell! Ashley’s service was amazing.
Rachel O — Google review
Beautiful views which are hard to beat. The service was a bit strange. Whilst I don’t ever like being rushed, it went the total other way where they didn’t really pay us any attention, requiring us to try and make eye contact to order another drink, or for them to clear our plates (10 - 15 minutes after we finished eating), or requesting the dessert menu, and then the bill. The food was nice, but I don’t think it was worth the price.
Lucy B — Google review
Thankyou to the team for helping us celebrate my dad's 80th. Your service was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. My only issue is we couldn't stay longer. Although we were a bit noisy so hopefully didn't upset too many guests.... Thankyou again. The revamped venue is beautiful and elegant.

The Gerringong to Kiama Coastal Walk is a well-marked clifftop trail offering stunning sea views and the opportunity to spot whales. The walk features rolling hills on one side and the blue sea on the other, making it a picturesque coastal hike. Visitors can enjoy isolated houses, seaside cliffs, and even catch a glimpse of farm animals along the six-kilometer route. However, hikers should be cautious when crossing Werri Lagoon as tides can rise unexpectedly.
The Gerringong to Kiama Coastal Walk is a breathtaking experience, offering stunning ocean views, rolling green hills, and fresh sea air. Today, we set off on this scenic adventure with family and friends, enjoying perfect weather and plenty of laughter along the way. Starting at Werri Beach, the trail took us along rugged cliffs and open farmland, with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. The sound of crashing waves and the sight of seabirds soaring above made the journey even more special. Along the way, we stopped to take photos, spotting dolphins playing in the distance and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The steep climbs and grassy tracks provided a good challenge, but the incredible views kept us motivated. The highlight was reaching the Kiama Blowhole, where we were treated to a spectacular water spray as the waves crashed into the rocks. After several hours of walking, we arrived in Kiama, feeling both accomplished and refreshed. We rewarded ourselves with a delicious meal at a local café, reflecting on the beauty of the coastline and the memories made. This 12-kilometer coastal walk is a must-do for nature lovers, offering an unforgettable mix of adventure, exercise, and breathtaking scenery.
Subas S — Google review
I recommend driving to Gerringong station, catching a train to Kiama, then doing the coastal walk to Gerringong & keep the sun at your back. So you have your car at the end, and not to worry about the train schedule (which runs only every two hours) while walking. Also check the tide schedule.
Toni H — Google review
Such an exceptional and breathtaking beautiful nature. There's a bit of an up and down hill which makes it above average considering the length, however, it's not a difficult walk. We walked from Kiama side to be back to the sun and got Uber on the way back. Note that several parts of the track are too muddy and need proper boots. Most importantly, when ended a few hours walk at the Werri Beach it was a high tide and we had to go waist deep in water to pass the Werri Gully entrance!
Ali A — Google review
Pls follow Toni's advice!!! If you gonna walk daytime, start from Kiama as he said! Sun behind you😂 doesn't matter whenever, DAYTIME! I went by train from CBD, started at central and stopped at Kiama. Walked from Kiama to Gerringong (it's around 3-4 hrs! Not 6! as the google map said) Go in spring or autumn are better. Put a lot of sunscreen! my back got burnt. And from Werri beach (Gerringong), pls walke a bit to see the best road view in NSW 😂😂 it's at the end of the beach. Then walk 20 min to Gerringong station. Unfortunately our train was delayed 70 mins then we took Uber to Kiama around $30 and 10 mins. P.S. Ask ppl there to share the ride with you for cheaper price🥺 !! Many hills and slope🫠 but worth to do! !! Don't forget to take full bottle of water and great sneakers with you. Ofc power bank as well if run out of batter, you can ask staffs at station for charging your phone. No cable needs, they've plate with many adapters at the counter.
Pimmmyful — Google review
Spectacular walk for the moderately fit. Just remember to check the water level of the Werri lagoon - after heavy rains, it may be unpassable on foot.
Toni M — Google review
What a walk. Only one problem was how much mud there was in sections and how slippery it was, hubby fell. But it has awesome vistas. Just wonderful. You do need to be relatively fit as there are quite a lot of up hills. It is a long walk so be sure to have good walking shoes and you do need some stamina. Not a bird lovers hike, very few.

Beautiful and wonderful Australian National park, places for camping, hiking and riding your bike, stunning waterfalls and amazing sunsets. Have spent the last 15 years exploring this national park and still find new and exciting places to explore or see. There are pit toilets but would recommend bringing your own toilet paper, there is no fresh water either so be prepared or bring something to filter or boil water.

Stayed a night on a whim. Campground is small (4 tent sites) so was beautifully quiet on a Sunday night, well designed and clean. Facilities decent but basic: drop/eco toilets, bring your own water and remove your own rubbish. Short walk to basic picnic spot (couple of tables), a few walking trails and lovely water holes. Only disappointments were the lack of any meaningful onsite acknowledgement of local Aboriginal peoples (shameful), and the atrocious layout of the NSW National Parks website. It is literally the worst NPs website in the entire country. Seriously my dudes - please just get some actually decent park/trails maps and then... (revolutionary idea!)... put them in👏the👏same👏place👏 on the website as the walking trails info. Why would those *not* be together? And yes, I did eventually give-in and download the app instead. It wasn't good either, lol. It did make me laugh, but it didn't help me plan my trip at all 😂

The view is nice, but not realy spectaculair. There are a few different hikes for everybody, even when your disabled or in a wheelchair. The walk to the falls is pretty easy, when you go further it's getting a bit mor difficult. Narrow steep steps, no stairs but rock steps are making the path. With kids it's cool because they think they're of the track and making their own exploring. We've turned back after the cove. It was bucketing and it's a long walk then. Rainbow in the valley was our reward!
Tom H — Google review
Great walk to the lovely waterfalls, plenty of Lyrebirds along the way for people with a keen eye! Very peaceful and tranquil setting. Jamberoo water park is an amazing spot on a hot day to go with friends or family- the hot day that I went was perfect because it was nice and busy, but when you get to the entrance on the slide or activity there was no people on almost all of the slides, so you can do it as many times as you want in a short time. The water park had so many different things to do including a 5 metre rock jump, mini golf, and obviously lots of rides. It only took about 3 mins to buy tickets on site and then a small walk to the first thing- everything is very accessible from anywhere in the place and it is the perfect spot if you're looking for an action packed day.

It was a truly wonderful experience. The car journey to the park, winding through the bushes and offering ocean views, was quite amazing. The water park itself met our expectations, and we had a great deal of fun. The weather was ideal, neither too hot nor too cold. There weren't many people, which allowed us to enjoy all the rides without lengthy waits. The rides were enjoyable and suitable for all ages, which meant our family could experience almost all of them together. However, we were unable to locate a changing room, which was a minor disappointment. Nevertheless, it was a pleasure to be there with the family and have such an amazing experience.

Great place to see the wonders of nature at play. After a visit to the Kiama blowhole you really must see the little blowhole working its heart out for you, just a few km down the road (2 points to the south) it performs better and higher than the main blow hole.
Dodgie B — Google review
Been watching the weather page for wave swell direction. Today was near perfect with south east 3 metre swell.
Stephen K — Google review
Amazing natural phenomenon that will give you a thrill when a nice set of waves hit. We went to both the the large and small blow hole and the small still gives a punch in smaller conditions where as the large blow hole requires larger eaves to get going
Christian B — Google review
No tickets needed to visit this place and no card payments required. Beautiful location and easy to get to. The area also has a big blow hole and can be a good walk for those that like a hike.

Gerringong Bowling & Recreation Club is an excellent local establishment, offering a diverse range of dinner options such as steaks, seafood, and salads. The service is prompt and the food is delightful, prepared with fresh ingredients. The portions are quite generous and the prices are reasonable for a city setting. It's definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a great spot to enjoy dinner.
Staff really friendly, food was above average arrived quickly Schnitzel was tender salad nice Diane sauce was pretty good Mate had calamari he polished all his off I'll eat there again Tried the rump it's dry aged was better than I've had anywhere else in Shoalhaven bar my kitchen lol

Went for lunch on Monday. Lunch special Rump salad & chips were excellent & great value for money. 😋 Lovely friendly club & all staff friendly & helpful

We last ate here 2 years ago and loved it so much, we returned the following night. Having heard they've changed caterer's we were cautious about coming back here but we cannot fault our experience at the club. All staff members were friendly and welcoming, quick with a laugh and some tips on places to visit nearby. The have Resch's on tap, so there's a bonus star from me. The food was delicious, we had the red curry from the menu while I ordered the sticky pork belly parmi off the specials board. Now this was so good, they should add it to the permanent menu. What a treat, and the schnitzel was huge. Both meals were cooked to perfection and portions were large, so it's great value for money. This club is a great place to pop in for a bite and drink, with plenty of specials each day of the week.
Dacmac — Google review
Food is sub par compared to previous owners. Tried many combos on the menu and all are dry, lacking in flavour or soggy! Steak is never as you order it and the new stake sandwich is soggy! Sauce has been downsized to tiny… so tiny you fishy your meal and could have had three more servings of sauce! Not to say $30 a steak sandwich(new on the menu annd zero comparison) and buns not even toasted, no bacon and just untastey! Not impressed from a local!
Danielle S — Google review
This was fine. Food was just okay and service a bit abrupt. We were expecting the fun and welcoming experience of a surf club restaurant with good seafood etc but this place is a bit more geared towards locals and meat raffles. Better options in the area.
Victoria M — Google review
Have to agree with another review. Thought we'd try new caterer and menu. Extremely disappointing. Ossobuco was drowning in stodgy tomato sauce and pasta with frozen vegetables. Tasteless. Fisherman's basket was obvious frozen fish variety.. no different to something we could get at Woollies. Table service no longer exists and you need to collect your food. This is a shame when you see older people struggle to collect their meals. Bring back Cabo chef and menu! Sadly we too won't be back unless we hear there are changes. This is a shame as we like to support local and have done so at this Bowlo for years.
Sonja K — Google review
Enjoyed a good meal at the Bowls - good country hospitality with very friendly staff. Great atmosphere, mixing with the locals. Nice to see the pride they take in the place!

Service was pretty ordinary, kinda got that vibe their job was like a chore Had 1 drink and left... bit of an unpleasant vibe from staff

Always look forward to the ride down from Penrith as there's plenty to do at the markets and in and around Kiama itself. A must ride if you're a motorcycle enthusiast 😎

Always nice and relaxing day with very nice people 100% recommended

Small market but some great stalls there. Two main ones I spent time at were a gin distillery and a meat spice rub stall. Both people were very friendly and knowledgeable, products were also high quality.
Hayden W — Google review
This was a pop up day. A fantastic range of artisans, I always have the honey & fudge, luckily Fibre for Good was there for with their incredible fabric clothes. Couldn't go past our local Gin, Tidal Lines! Lots of great fashions, macrame, crystals, jams and chutneys. And much enjoyment from a local band. So much more to name. Watch out for the next Market.

Cute little market along the water with all handmade products. Was a nice start to a day out in Kiama. Had a really good croissaint and bought some jam and cured meat. My friends bought soap and a really cool gin. Worth a visit.

Rangoon Reserve is a breathtaking destination that captures the essence of relaxation and outdoor fun. Nestled near the waterfront, it offers stunning views and a serene atmosphere perfect for families. With picnic tables, showers, and easy access to calm waters, it's an ideal spot for swimming or launching kayaks and paddleboards. The area is also dog-friendly, making it a popular choice among locals enjoying sunny days with their furry friends.
Great place for ocean views and relaxing. Quiet and clean suburb. Good for a walk and jogging
Ji P — Google review
Absolutely stunning place. I'm obviously not the only one who thinks so, because I saw an ordinary house had been sold on the street overlooking the waterfront area, looked it up and saw it went for $6.2m! Also saw several Airbnbs, and the train station (train from Sydney) is in exceptionally easy walking distance. As in, definitely visit, live elsewhere.
Sais A — Google review
Great little swim and picnic spot, tables , shower stairs down to the water and plenty of parking even a Cafe nearby.
Marcello S — Google review
A calmer area from which to launch kayaks, paddle boards or simply to have a safer swim spot for the kids

Boneyard Beach, accessible via a bush track from the end of Cliff Drive, offers a sheltered stony beach with clear and calm waters. The area has plenty of lawn and shade for relaxation, along with numerous rock pools for children to explore and snorkeling opportunities. While the beach may not be ideal for families due to limited accessibility and young crowds, it provides a charming and picturesque setting with enough shade to escape the sun.
It's the most beautiful spot. Very few people there and it definitely provided some great pics through my drone. Enjoy 👋

Such a cool little beach to visit! Feels very secluded for a nice swim, but a bit of a steep walk down for anyone elderly / injured. There was a storm rolling in the day I visited, but only added to the atmosphere!
