The Seppeltsfield Mausoleum, nestled in the picturesque Barossa Valley of South Australia, is a captivating historical site dating back to the late 1800s. Serving as the private burial ground for members of the esteemed Seppelt family, this hidden gem offers breathtaking views of rolling hills and vineyards. While the steep climb to reach it may pose a challenge for some visitors, the stunning panorama from the mausoleum makes it well worth the effort.
Nice stop while touring the area. Very steep incline, not suitable for elderly or disabled unfortunately. Beautiful veiw from the top of the surrounding area. Would be nice to have some more information regarding the history and more of a back story. But worth the stop
Katriona B — Google review
A serene and historically rich site. The climb is steep but rewarding with stunning views of the Barossa Valley. A must visit for history enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful spot to reflect.
Juan M — Google review
Interesting piece of Seppeltsfield history. The view is pretty good, although you can get good view from the road nearby as well. As someone with mobility issues it was very hard going as it is a steep walk. It would have been good if they could at least, at a minimum, put a rail for the steps at the start, or even better a rail all the way up. Certainly not accessible for those in wheelchairs. Probably best only to bother if you are able to easily get up steep paths and not worth the effort otherwise. They have a car park there that fits plenty of cars so parking is not a problem. You can see all the way up from there so it is worth driving to at least.
Claire P — Google review
Nothing really to do. Interesting place but you will need to read more about the family to appreciate their role. Has a 15 degree gradient to walk up to the mausoleum, for not much else other than the view. Definitely not for the less mobile to get up and down. Worth a visit for the rows of palm trees along the road
Eugene T — Google review
As an area of faith and belief, the mausoleum was fantastic. The grandeur of the crypt is obvious, even before getting there. The road to it is lined with palms and gives it an air of importance. It's a steep path leading up to it, so don't carry anything heavy!
Robert O — Google review
Nice to stop at if in the area, impressive structure. Steep incline path up that may be difficult for elderly. Parking directly across road. No public toilets nearby. Bit disappointing that it appears to keep getting graffiti on it, some people have no respect.
Aerwyn — Google review
Steep walk but stunning views at the top. Good building.
Alison D — Google review
This mausoleum has been left to rot with the grounds and building allowed to run down. Like the palm trees lining the road, the building is part of the areas history which richly deserves preservation. The building is on a steep hill and will require a good level of health to climb.

Two Hands Wines offers a delightful experience for wine enthusiasts. The winery features the charming Brutus Wine Bar & Garden, an enchanting outdoor space with a bar housed in a custom-built caravan, serving delectable charcuterie platters. Visitors can savor the serene Western Ranges atmosphere while exploring the brand's captivating collections. The cellar door is located in a beautifully restored 19th-century stone cottage, providing a cozy yet modern ambiance with striking artwork.
Had a wonderful time at two hands wines. Dropped by for a walk in tasting on a Thursday afternoon. I went with the pride & place tasting flight which included a range of 6 wines. Was introduced to two hands, as well as understanding that they specialise in more red wines. Really enjoyed the tasting, they have good Shiraz options. I left with a bottle of my own, would definitely recommend having a visit
Jeroemy — Google review
Lovely winery with a large back deck and lawn overlooking the vineyards. Our tasting was informative and while nothing stood out it was a lovely experience. There was a food truck o site too was not open when we visited which was too bad because we were both hungry 😋
Chris ( — Google review
Two Hands is a place for a famous reason. I recently visited Two Hands with a precious guest. He was very happy to come to the two hands winery in person because he had experienced two hands in Korea. The employees' explanations were perfect and introduced not only wineries but also slightly larger pets and cows they raise. The grape farm and its pets were so well matched and beautiful.
Gika — Google review
Did the wine tasting. The lady was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information on the wines which is great. We bought 3 wines and were extremely delighted with the complimentary wine glasses

We made it a point to visit while in Adelaide, because we started our wine journey with wines with Two Hands and it felt special for us! Ariel led us through our wine tasting and she backed up with some history and fun facts of each wine - it was great! Our fav was Ares, two hands down ;) Thanks Ariel! We enjoyed chatting with you very much. We had kids with us and they gifted them with little activity goodie bags which was really thoughtful and welcoming. We bought Lily's Garden, Bella's Garden & Spirit of Place, and was pleasantly surprised to receive the wine glass gift!
Nadine S — Google review
Our wine tasting experience was truly outstanding from start to finish. The staff were not only knowledgeable but also passionate about sharing the story behind each bottle. The top wines stood out for their complexity, balance, and exceptional craftsmanship.

An enjoyable evening with Luke tasting some of the best of Two Hands winery has to offer. Luke is very personable and knowledgeable and gave us some great wine history, tips and of course tastes. Adam and Joey at MOGG, Golden Beach were amazing hosts for the evening.
Lenore S — Google review
Our visit 20th July at Two Hands cellar door was excellent. We are long time members after our first visit in 2001 so we know the wines well. However we were delighted to have a tour of the Holy Grail vineyard and taste some wine overlooking the Barossa hills. This experience helped us understand exactly why the Team at Two Hands have been so successful. It’s been a great joy to see the growth of the business over nearly 25 years. A big thank you to Morgan who was the perfect host with great knowledge on the vineyard and the Two Hands story! Highly recommend the wines and the opportunity to visit the vineyard and learn the finer nuances of how they make their wines. Wine Dinner in Melbourne 2024 Attending the Melbourne Two Hands dinner was fantastic. The food was delicious and plentiful. The wines provided were as usual … perfect!! As a wine club member for more than 20 years it’s great to see how this business has continued to grow and evolve as a wine producer of great quality!! The new wines introduced last night … Spirit of Place and the Adrestia Chardonnay are both great additions to the range of wines. Each having a great story behind there development!!! Thanks to Luke and the team at Two Hands for a great night much appreciated thank you!!!

Torbreck Vintners is a modern winery located in the Barossa Valley, offering a unique tasting experience with vineyard-facing areas and vintage wines at their 1800s cellar door. Situated near Marananga, the winery provides stunning panoramic views from its deck and an intimate interior that is a work of art in itself. Visitors can enjoy an extraordinary selection of cheese and charcuterie, some crafted by the owner, David Franz.
Absolutely brilliant afternoon! Came as a walk-in and did their red wine tasting. We had such a great time, the wines were delicious and Nicholas was so engaging and knowledgeable. He also took into account what we were enjoying and gave us the 2017 Steading to try, which we loved so much we ended up buying! The cellar door itself is beautiful and comfortable, and you’re able to go to their “library” and get a photo with their mega bottles.
Charlie C — Google review
We stopped by to taste the latest wines and got lucky to catch a quiet moment. Dayna immediately appeared and was a charming host. She picked wines that matched our pallets. We had only intended to taste but left with bottles, including a Bophie. Many thanks to Dayna and Torbreck for the usual great experience in a lovely setting.
Climber T — Google review
Thank you so incredibly much, Kate, for your beyond awesome storytelling of the beautiful wines you have here! We had such a lovely time and we’re thankful for you tailoring the tasting to our liking. Thanks for also sharing with us about the wines region. The wines were really really good, and we're so glad we stopped by.
Annabella O — Google review
Beautiful tasting room and wine cellar! Lucas who looked after us for the collector tasting was very friendly and very kind to show us to the cellar room and answer all the questions we have about the wine from Torbreck and how they decided on the names of each wine. Many interesting background stories of the wine, the owner, and the maker. Many delicious wines especially the Forest-Marie champagne and RunRig red.
Penny G — Google review
One of the top wines of Australia. Very good tasting experience in a shiny facility. Beautiful garden and view of vineyards. Also offer back vintage for purchases.
Daniel Y — Google review
Thanks Angela for our impeccable wine tasting experience. You are a true treasure and asset to this little hidden gem of a winery off the beaten track! Can’t wait for our wine club deliveries so we can reminisce back at our little farm in Qld xx

Easily the best cellar door we visited during 5 days in South Australia. McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills and the Barossa, this experience was the best. A huge thanks to Nicholas who looked after us, even with an 18month old boy he made us feel welcome and at home. Took time to discuss the wines in detail, answer our questions and share his knowledge. We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to come back!

Such an amazing experience today, all the staff were absolutely incredible, it felt like a real personal experience and they were there to chat. Gins were yummy as! Platter was delicious, we had to order another one!

Great experience! Staff knowledgeable and fun. Well organised tasting. Good selection of interesting gins to taste. Will be back.

We will definitely be back! Stunning Gin Distillery in the Barossa. Great service and Fantastic Gin! Personal fav - Native Ground Gin
Chris W — Google review
Superb Gin! My wife and I visited SRD on New Years Eve 2024 and were warmly greeted by the team, especially Aiden who gave us really good insight about the history of SRD and their story. We sampled the Bold Botantical Gin flight. The Savoury Allsorts was very unique and would highly recommend. The Navy Strength was awesome, too, but the Barrel Aged Shiraz Gin was just next level! No wonder it won them 99/100 at the international Gin festival. Well deserved. Absolutely worth a visit whilst you're in the Barossa and need a little break from the wine!
Paul J — Google review
Dropped by SRD for their bold botanical tasting flight on a Thursday afternoon. It was nice and quiet, and the ambience is great. With the tasting flight, there was a run through & introduction to Seppeltsfield’s bold botanical options, describing the overall tasting notes as well as paring options. I enjoyed the experience as well as the gin, that I left with a bottle of my own. Would definitely drop by for a visit!
Jeroemy — Google review
It was a great experience. Learnt something new about gins. The staff is great, friendly and helpful. The place being pet friendly was a plus for us. I would recommend the tasting experience without any hesitation.
Shanaka J — Google review
A must visit while in the Barossa! Saw this place as we were driving by and had to turn back and glad we did! Service was friendly and knowledgeable about the distillery and also gave us advice where to stop nearby for lunch. Gin tasting was delicious! And cocktails as well. Appreciated they had an option to nibble on some cheese and cold meats
Catrina B — Google review
Great gin tasting experience. Been here for the first time. If you like to try something new or a gin connoisseur then definitely a visit would be worth it. The tasting experience is on four versions or take on their gins, all different. Starting with neat, then ice and then house made tonic water I believe. Very interesting flavours. Try a variation to the wine tasting experience in the Barossa with gin tasting.

Barossa Valley Estate Winery & Cellar Door is a must-visit destination in the Barossa Valley, offering a picturesque setting with stunning gardens and breathtaking views. The grand entrance leads to beautifully designed perennial gardens by renowned landscape architect Paul Bangay. Visitors can enjoy wine tasting flights or purchase a bottle of red or rosé to savor amidst the serene surroundings.
We visited the winery for wine tasting on a Monday. Interestingly it was completely empty and felt like we had the winery all to ourselves. The explanation provided by the employee there was detailed and helpful. The cheese in the sides platter requires a separate mention. I would say it is a one time experience.
Swati A — Google review
Had a wonderful time at Barossa Valley Estate. The landscape was stunning, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I would have given a five-star review if we had dined there as well. We tried the Rosé 2024, which was delightful wine on a warm spring day.
Hayley — Google review
This place is rather relaxing and nice environment. Sitting here with good friend and enjoying wines here would be romantic and calm. The staff recommend common wines to me and it does not suite me. Suggest the staff should recommend award winning wines to visitors rather than pushing out the normal stuff.
Vangelis Y — Google review
Walking around those beautiful gardens with a complimentary glass of rose is such a lovely way to start experiencing this winery. We then tried 3 wines plus a grenache. Three of them suited our palate so we bought them. Thanks for sharing your amazing winery.
Marilyn C — Google review
I recently visited Barossa Valley State for a winetasting and had a wonderful experience. While the restaurant wasn't overly crowded, I found the food prices to be slightly higher than expected with limited menu options. However, the wine expertise showcased during the tasting was truly impressive. It made the visit worthwhile. I don't believe private bookings are necessary, but I would recommend making a reservation in advance to ensure a spot and avoid potential disappointment
Malraj B — Google review
Exceptional staff service & great wines. Summer & Spring would be a perfect time to visit due to the gardens. Photos: February 2025
Patricia F — Google review
I visited this winery more for the beautiful gardens. And beautiful the whole place is. Including the award winning Rose wine, which was a steal at $8 a glass. I bought a couple of bottles. We sat on a table nestled privately overlooking the lovely gardens. Some people around were eating a fabulous looking platter, but we had just had brunch. I will go back next time for it though. Lots of people taking advantage of the views and taking arty selfies and pics.
Penny M — Google review
I had an excellent experience!! The place is a heaven, the supervisor (so shame I didn’t ask her name) was so kind, giving us so much info about the wines, I appreciate that so much. And of course deli wine, they even have Malbec❤️ thank you so much and love from Argentina!!!

Tscharke Wines is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable experience for wine lovers. Nestled away from the bustling road, this winery features a stunningly renovated venue known as The Protagonist, which boasts breathtaking views and an enchanting atmosphere. As you step inside, you're greeted by friendly staff who are eager to share their extensive knowledge of the award-winning organic wines on offer.
Had an incredible experience with our host. Connie was warm, welcoming, insightful, & funny. It was only the 3 of us there for our tasting, and because of this it felt like a very personal experience. Not only was the wine tasting exceptional, but the atmosphere of the little house/wine tasting room was unparalleled. What fascinated me the most was the certified organic nature of the wines themselves, and the story's that make them. I couldn't recommend our time here more highly. We both bought 3 bottles each and I was given 1 out of kindness. We drove away with the biggest smiles on our face. Thank you Connie for an unforgettable experience, we really appreciate you for the time you gave us, and your bubbly and passionate personality. 10/10 definitely recommend. I can't wait to come back. Cheers, Ryan.
Ryan K — Google review
Our best wine tasting in Australia! We knew Tscharke wines from a tasting in Germany many years ago and wanted to have a look at the winery. We were greeted by Conny, fellow German, who made us feel very welcome. She told us a lot about the history, the production and the wines. We had a very special tasting! Conny took us around and even introduced us to Damian and Liam. The location is awesome (beautiful decorated, nice garden area) as are the wines. We enjoyed every minute and would definitely recommend visiting and tasting!!
G. R — Google review
Hands down our favourite winery in the Barossa 💯 the service was excellent, world class knowledge and the wines were all so interesting and complex. The tasting room experience was so enjoyable and we learnt so much about the local area and production. We left with many bottles and will be raving about this winery for a long time ♥️
Chris ( — Google review
Tscharke’s is the best winery experience in the Barossa. (I might also be the best kept secret in the Barossa - as it’s not listed on tourism experience websites and so I only heard about it from a friend). Wow am I pleased we visited the cellar door on December 27. The customer service was amazing. The place so tastefully and meticulously designed and decorated - like something out of Harry Potter. We were allowed to wander downstairs to the incredibly majestic underground cellar and stroll through the attic past some beautiful artwork before heading to the bar for some wine tasting. We were allowed to sit outside to taste with the most peaceful and calming setting in the valley A looking across the hills and vineyards, it didn’t feel at hot as it does at other wineries in the area. Although I am torn when I think back to the experience as next time I might sit at the bar to absorb all the incredible knowledge of the staff. All delicious wines, I usually try to buy only 1 bottle at each winery that I visit just for the memory, but here I couldn’t resist - I bought 4. Thank you Tscharke’s!! Great memories.
Adam L — Google review
What a stunning winery. Tscharke Wines is worth a visit just for the beautiful cellar door. The excellent wines are just a bonus. The cellar door features an amazing vaulted ceiling, with a beautiful upstairs gallery where you can sit with a bottle or two of their finest and soak in the atmosphere. Then there is Tscharke's hidden treasure; an amazing underground cellar. Visually stunning, you can book a special tasting of their flagship wines in this space, and I'd love to do that one day. We sat for a standard tasting and enjoyed their selection of six excellent wines. I particularly liked their Stone Well Grenache and Project Mataro, but their other reds, rosé and a couple of whites were also very good. This place should definitely be on your next Barossa Valley itinerary!
Kylie P — Google review
What a great experience! Connie was an AMAZING host and we had a great time tasting and learning about the wine. Damian has a clear passion for his craft and works to create wines that represent the terroir of his many vineyards. It was really an incredible experience tasting wine in their cave and we could have happily spent the whole day here. We can't wait for our order to arrive!
Kevin B — Google review
What an amazing morning spent at this stunning place. I went with no expectations and was blown away. Conny, in the tasting room, is an absolute gem! Very knowledgeable about the wines and fantastic customer service. I’m doing a wine course and conny took it upon herself to give me a VIP backstage tour of this years vintage. Absolutely made my day. Add this to your Barossa itinerary, support local, family fun businesses.

Whistler Wines is an absolute gem in the Barossa Valley! The location is simply charming – the perfect blend of natural beauty and a relaxed vineyard setting. We had a lovely wine tasting experience, with a fantastic selection of wines that truly showcased the region’s character. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. One of the highlights was seeing kangaroos in a large enclosure on the property – such a unique touch! It’s also a great spot to take a peaceful walk and soak in the stunning surroundings. Highly recommend for wine lovers and nature enthusiasts alike 🌾🍇🍷🦘

Whistler Wines is an absolute treasure in the Barossa Valley. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with beautiful views of the vineyard and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for the whole experience. The setting is stunning — spacious lawns shaded by big trees, perfect for sitting back and enjoying a glass of wine while soaking in the scenery. The wines themselves are fantastic. Each tasting felt carefully guided, with staff who really know their wines and love sharing their knowledge in a friendly, approachable way. The range had something for everyone, from light and easy-drinking to more complex and bold varieties, and every glass felt thoughtfully crafted. What really stood out was the hospitality. The team at Whistler make you feel less like a customer and more like a guest. They’re warm, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about what they do, which makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable. It’s also a great spot to relax beyond just the tasting. The outdoor space is perfect for families, groups of friends, or anyone who wants to take their time and enjoy the surroundings. It never feels rushed, which makes it easy to settle in and appreciate both the wines and the setting. Overall, Whistler Wines offers everything you’d hope for in a Barossa winery — exceptional wine, beautiful grounds, and wonderful people. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the region and will definitely be back myself.

Just had the loveliest afternoon at Whistler! We were served by the lovely Toni, who provided sparkling, thoughtful customer service, and took the time to get to know us. 10/10 service, we'll be back for that alone! We had a delicious self-guided tasting, and couldn't find a wine we didn't love. Plus, it's such beautiful, secluded location - gorgeous lawns and plenty of space for the kids to play (not that I brought any!),

My wife and I were visiting the Barossa Valley from the Hunter Valley and had been told to visit Whistler Wines by colleagues. When we arrived as walk ins we met Kirsty who gave us a fantastic tasting in a lovely cellar door. We ended up buying some beautiful wines that were delivered promptly and would thoroughly recommend a visit to anyone visiting the Barossa Valley.

This is a nice little family owned winery, a must visit when you are travelling with children! Something I was surprised with, is that the toilets were very clean and equipped with a baby change table and shower! Also, They have their own playground and heaps of outdoor space for children to play. The wine list is extensive for a small winery, and make your own cheese platter was yummy!

Omg. What a great place. The stew and Shiraz and fires brilliant. A very peaceful atmosphere

Visitors are greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who are passionate about winemaking. The winery offers an outstanding range of shiraz that has been expertly produced for nearly 40 years.
Just had a great experience here. The cellar door tasting experience is great. Nice heritage building, good atmosphere and friendly staff. Great wine as well. Looking forward to going back ASAP.

From the moment we stepped into Greenock Creek Winery, we were met with the warmest welcome imaginable—thanks entirely to our server’s genuine charm. She guided us through a beautifully curated tasting flight, sharing her passion for each varietal and offering thoughtful insights into the vineyard’s history. Every pour was exceptional, but it was her attentive, upbeat manner that truly made the visit unforgettable. She anticipated our questions, remembered our preferences, and went out of her way to ensure we felt at home. It’s rare to encounter service that’s both professional and so delightfully personal. If you’re after outstanding wines served with heartfelt hospitality, Greenock Creek Winery is an absolute must—especially if you get lucky enough to be served by this wonderful lady (I’m sorry I have forgotten her name!!!)

Quiet, classical winery with a stellar selection of locally made reds. Traditional methods and flavours coupled with an informative guided tasting by Felicity resulted in a fantastic experience for my family and I. Highly recommended; thanks to the team for the great afternoon!

Fantastic wines, lovely knowledgeable host (Jen). We did the $15 tasting experience but Jen snuck in a couple of extras as they happened to be open and she was feeling generous. Was great to compare wines from different blocks and regions. Really appreciated being snuck inside with the doggos when other visitors left as it was super chilly on the verandah. The dogs were very grateful too (see pic). We purchased a few wines that we will save for special occasions.

On the way home from lunch, we happened to spot this quaint cellar door and stopped in. I’m glad that we did because the wine and the service was sensational. The venue was cosy and quiet so we were able to relax and enjoy the rest of the afternoon without feeling rushed

Some wineries have personality, and some have A personality. Greenock has Jen. Greenock has some of the most consistently solid wines at their various price points. There was not a wine that we tried that we wouldn’t happily drink. As for Jen, she simultaneously handled us and two other groups. All were charmed with stories and by her personal touch. We left smiling and wanting to continue buying Greenock wines.

This is without doubt a very special exhibit. Wednesdays at 11:30. Talk and tour of the Hill & Sons 1877 pipe organ. I am not musical, but I love history. Hear the 1875 Grand Organ being played View the inner workings Learn how a community of devoted volunteers restored this jewel of an instrument. When: Every Wednesday @ 11.30am-12:30pm Cost: $5 donation to the on-going maintenance of the Organ A unique and worthwhile experience!

The organ tour on Wednesday morning was mind-blowing - tour guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and performed for us. Worth the $5 donation. We were able to see the back end and insides of the beautifully restored instrument. The huge Barossa Valley quilt and stories of WWI soldiers are fascinating. A must-see in Tanunda.

As one of the owner/operators of Ambler Touring, I love taking our guests into this very special gallery that houses the magnificent Hill and Son Grand Organ that was originally built and housed in the Adelaide Town Hall. It is a magnificent instrument and a wonderful group of volunteers showcase its beauty and sound each Wednesday between 11.30am & 12.15pm. It is open to view during normal gallery open hours (you just won't get to hear it!) The gallery hosts some beautiful exhibitions but also has some extraordinary works on permanent display. Donations are always welcome for the upkeep and maintenance of the organ, so if you are in the area, please do call in to see it because it is well worth it.

Marananga Cottages - Kates and Oscars provide a charming retreat in the heart of the village, just steps away from local cellar doors. The cottages offer a peaceful and secluded Barossa experience with luxurious amenities such as quality linens and inviting bathtubs. The vintage interior exudes history and warmth, creating a perfect combination for wine enthusiasts. Guests can expect warm hospitality, comfortable accommodations, complimentary wine and cheese platters, and helpful recommendations for dog-friendly activities.
OMG, what a find, we went to a concert at Seppeltsfield Winery, and this was the perfect location. The cottage was a mix of modern and rustic, so pretty, the facilities were great, lots of space, and in a quiet location, where all you could hear were birds. We stumbled on these cottages by accident, solely due to it's proximity to the concert, but will definitely return again. Thanks again for saving us when we had nowhere to stay. Mara and Peter

We will definitely return and highly recommend the cottages.

Have stayed here when the main building was a B&B which was fantastic but has now been converted to a cellar door for Greenock Creek Wines and is absolutely perfect for this experience. The beautiful interior is roomy and has a vintage feel with lots of history. Service was professional and very friendly and the wines were beautiful. We'll be back for the wines and to check out their other B&B rooms. A perfect combination.

Chateau Tanunda is a historic 19th-century winery in Barossa, with guided tours and tastings. The estate boasts beautiful gardens and a cricket oval, making it an ideal spot for a picnic. Its rich history dates back to the 1840s when Prussians first migrated to the Barossa. Visitors can enjoy scenic routes from Tanunda to Angaston via Bethany, offering stunning valley views.
Lovely visit. This place was the biggest winery in the Barossa valley. The staff was able to accommodate us for a nice tasting session. We learned a lot interest facts about wine and grapes in this region. Not normally a fan of wine but I found some wine I liked here. The cellar was also a bit of a museum. Lovely team members here helped us through everything. The front of the building faces the valley plain which boasts a superb view!

About an hour's drive from Adelaide, this vineyard is great for wine lovers and even if you are not, you can head over for a detailed explanation on how wines are made and have a wine tasting experience. What I liked about this Chateau was that during the class where they shared about their wines, every attempt was made to help you appreciate their products, and they even provided coloured notes for you to keep, after their guided tour. A recommended vineyard to visit.
Botak — Google review
This is absolutely stunning!!!! A must see if you’re in the Barossa. The chateau is beautiful… the hounds are stunning… and the cellar door is opulent. We opted for a tasting and our host Rachel was fabulous… she explained the wines in detail and gave us a history of the chateau which was fascinating. You absolutely must put this on your list to visit in the Barossa, there are a lot of “commercial” wineries in the Barossa, but this one was an absolute standout for us. Great service and amazing overall experience. We loved the Tawny, shiraz ( old vine) Shame they don’t promote themselves on trip advisor etc… but maybe they’re happy enough with the number of visitors they get .
Raelene R — Google review
We made a quick stop here and opted for the Explorer Tasting. The staff member looking after us was incredibly generous, expanding the experience to include sparkling, several Shiraz and port options, and even some whites. While the overall style wasn’t exactly to my taste, we did find a couple of reds and a port we really enjoyed and took a bottle or two home. The premises are impressive, and the staff are both knowledgeable and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.

We had an excellent experience at Chateau Tanunda. The private tour and tasting was well worth it and we were delighted by our guide, Roslyn, who was charming and well-informed about both the wine and history of the site. The wines were exquisite too. A must do in the Barossa Valley!

Hentley Farm is a beautifully restored 1880s farm building located in the picturesque Barossa Valley. The venue offers an upscale degustation menu and a unique wine tasting experience. The Atrium, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, provides stunning views of the surrounding vineyards while flooding the dining space with natural light. Executive Chef Clare Falzon curates a farm-to-table menu that showcases premium local produce, allowing the natural flavors to shine through in each dish.
A Seamless Union of Heritage, Hospitality & Flavour – A Must-Visit in the Barossa Our wine tasting experience at Hentley Farm was nothing short of exceptional. Set within a beautifully restored 1840s stone cottage, the space strikes the perfect balance between heritage charm and understated elegance. The moment you step through the door, you’re enveloped in an atmosphere that feels both refined and welcoming — we genuinely thought we’d walked into their restaurant, which we now cannot wait to return and experience. The layout is intimate and thoughtfully styled, with a warm, rustic aesthetic that immediately makes you feel at home. We were lucky to be seated right by the fireplace — a small detail, but one that added so much to the overall ambiance and sense of occasion. What truly elevated the tasting was the impeccable hospitality. Shirley and Ashley looked after us with such care, knowledge, and warmth — their attention to detail and passion for the wines made the experience all the more memorable. Each wine was thoughtfully introduced and perfectly paced, allowing time to truly savour the flavours. And the complimentary snacks served alongside the tasting were an unexpected delight — beautifully prepared, balanced, and far beyond what you’d typically expect from a standard cellar door visit. Hentley Farm doesn’t just offer a tasting — it offers a curated experience. It’s elegant without ever feeling pretentious, generous without being showy, and deeply rooted in a sense of place. Tip: Be sure to book ahead — this is an intimate space and one of the most memorable cellar door experiences in the Barossa. Highly, highly recommend.

I highly recommend Hentley Farm winery, one of the better Cellar tasting in the Barossa, you need to book your tasting weeks ahead as they are always busy. You decide what level of wine you want to try and get comfortable in the original 1850s restored cottage with cheeses, olives, breads and snacks to have while you go through a very good wine selection. Shirley was our host for the afternoon and she is so passionate and knowledgeable its quite infectious. We tried and bought some of the best wines we have had in a very long time. If your heading to Adelaide make sure you try to book a tasting at Hentley Farm it's well worth the effort.

Incredible lunch with paired wine experience on Friday. We reserved months ahead of time for 6 of us, and staff were accommodating of multiple dietary restrictions (veg, seafood allergy, no coriander preference). Exceptional level of service from everyone. All of the food was standout from the fresh vegetables with unreal miso dip (I wish I could buy it in a jar) to the insanely flavoursome broth dish, beef cheeks and dessert, we truly couldn’t pick a favourite as it was all incredible. A couple of us did the wine pairing which I highly recommend as it paired beautifully with the meal. Highly recommend booking if you are looking for an incredible meal, great wine and fabulous service.

The wine tasting here is a premium experience that should not be missed! The heritage building makes the trip worth it by itself.... And then there is the wine and the food, simply amazing. The staff are professional and lovely, they bring it all together in an luxury package. This is now on my 'you must come here list'.

We booked a wine tasting at Hentley Farm based on reading reviews about it being a must-do while in the Barossa. We were NOT disappointed! You need to book a slot and allow a couple of hours. Our host (Annie I think - apologies, terrible with names) was so accommodating, personable and knowledgeable. She was very attentive but also gave us time and space to enjoy each tasting and the beautiful snacks that were provided. The grounds and buildings are something to be admired in themselves! If you only do one tasting while in the Barossa - make it a Hentley Farm tasting!

The wine tasting experience and service was exceptional! We arrived on a quiet Tuesday a couple hours early and the staff were more than accomodating to take us in early. The ambience and decor are wonderful inside with the sound of sparrows chirping outside. The staff take time to know you and your pallet preference, they teach you about the local regions and the history of the wines. We loved it and left with some bottles of our favourites.

overall, service was great, atmosphere was good too but food, It was pretty forgettable lunch, ingredients were fresh, but i expected more unique and diverse expereince for this price. i would look for other options for $500 for two. Also it would be nicer if we could get a written menu from the start not at the end.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding wine tasting experience at Hentley Farm! We had an incredible time at Hentley Farm in the Barossa Valley. The setting is stunning, surrounded by beautiful vineyards and full of charm. Our wine tasting was presented by Ashley, who was fantastic — knowledgeable, personable, and clearly passionate about the wines and the region. Each wine was exceptional, and Ashley’s insights made the experience both educational and enjoyable. We left with a real appreciation for the quality and care that goes into every bottle. Rockford Wines is a historic stone building that offers sales and tastings of locally made wines, as well as sauces and chutneys. The winery features traditionally made, small-range wines, including reds from smaller labels like Teusner, Langmeil, Kalleske, and others. Visitors can witness the wine-making process and even see grape vines being shoveled into an antique grape de-vining machine. The staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the wines they offer.
This Winery was so good, it ruined it for all the others! Small, intimate winery made traditionally meant every type was smooth, easy to drink, and just delicious. You can absolutely taste the difference between Rockford Wines and other local mass-produced wines. Free wine tasting was a bonus, and staff were very knowledgeable about the grapes and whole wine making process. Highly recommended.

Went on a Tuesday. Gorgeous place and vibes. Wines are impeccable. Light and tasty and the basket press is unique and definitely needs to be tasted. The highlight though was the service. For 25 years I’ve always said If I had a weekend to live I’d spend it at Alain Ducasse’s Bastide de Moustiers in Provence (scoffing down the Truffle gnocchi). Having now had my first Stonewallers lunch, I’ve revised my desired last moment to be sipping Black Shiraz in front of the fire in the Rockford Cellar door (after lunch). Stellar wine, made and shared by stellar people in a setting to die for ( but not just yet) 😊

A MUST STOP winery in the Barossa. Absolutely fantastic, unique and wonderful winery. Kris ran us through a free tasting of their 10 wines. She did a fantastic job and was very knowledgeable, friendly and kind. The winery itself was beautiful, we were there in May so couldn’t see everything functioning. However, come from on Feb-April and you will see it all in full working order. It’s incredible. The old buildings and autum leaves were INCREIDBLE. All their wine was delicious and we ended up buying a few bottles!

We absolutely loved our visit here! We are on our honeymoon and have been exploring many wineries, and this one stood out in the best way. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and genuinely cared for. We are very chatty people who love to dive into the stories behind a place — and this visit gave us just that. The history, the passion behind the winemaking, and the personal touches made this experience feel meaningful and memorable. The wines were absolutely delicious — thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. We especially loved “Old Block”, but truly, everything we tasted had its own charm. A huge thank you to Nishi for taking the time to share your knowledge and passion with us. This will be one of the highlights of our honeymoon. Highly recommend a visit here for anyone who values heart, history, and great wine.

We had a beautiful wine tasting with Melissa at St Halletts today. Melissa shared a wealth of knowledge, not only about the incredible wines we were tasting but about the history of the winery, the entire Barossa, the winemakers and gave us an insight into the entirety of the winery. It was such an amazing experience that the other tastings and tours we had booked for the day just did not compare! We enjoyed all the beautiful wines in our tasting and will definitely be placing future orders from this winery. Thank you!

During a recent visit to the Barossa Valley, my partner and I had the pleasure of discovering Sieber Wines. This hidden gem provided us with an exceptional wine tasting experience that surpassed any we had encountered before. The welcoming and hospitable Val made us feel like part of the family as we explored their impressive selection of wines. Not only did we have the opportunity to sample their amazing wines, but we also enjoyed their outstanding service.
My wife and I spent a lovely afternoon at Sieber Wines with Val as our fantastic hostess. We’re not wine experts but Val spent the time giving us generous tastings of their whole range, and explaining their range, which was a wonderful experience. Val is a lovely lady who connected immediately with us, and she shared her experiences and went over and above during our visit. We bought some beautiful wines without feeling any pressure at all in a very relaxing environment. We couldn’t recommend Sieber wines highly enough, with Val making our tasting visit an experience we won’t forget. Thanks Val! Fatima and John

Nicest wine I’ve had, the first cellar door experience I have had in the Barossa and I don’t think any can top it. Beautiful cellar door experience, beautiful scenery and Val who ran us through the wine tasting was beautiful as well and an absolute legend. Left with a few bottles I’ll be taking home to the UK, will definitely be back before we head home again and whenever I’m back in the future. Being greeted by the little dog was cute as too.

Our first Barossa tasting experience and it didn’t disappoint, we had the privilege of youngest son Daniel hosting us through our tasting with an appearance of legendary Val in conclusion. A great story and we wish the family all the best for future endeavours. Their tasting cellar door / family lounge room / party zone was very inviting and Bella their wine dog will hopefully feature in future wine dog photo book

What a lovely wine tasting experience we had at Sieber Wine with our charming hostess and owner Val. The extensive vineyards are about an hours drive from Adelaide and well worth it. Val took us through the vineyards extensive selection with a generous pour! My unusual favourite was the Piper Lili Viognier, which was going to be an excellent pairing with our Tasmanian cheeseboards. The Ernest Shiraz and GSM were stars although we enjoyed most of them. The ability to cellar the reds for a while was a bonus. I found the prices very reasonable after coming from Coonawarra wine region, but don’t let that deter you wine snobs! We left clutching a carton with details on how to order online. Thank you Val for an informative and most enjoyable afternoon. We will be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the absolute best experience at Sieber Wines! We were lucky enough to have Val Sieber herself as our host, and what a treat that was. The cellar door is right in her home, which makes it feel so personal and welcoming — you can really tell this is a family-run winery with so much heart. Val’s stories had us laughing nonstop — at one point I was in tears from laughing so hard! The tasting was free with very generous pours, and every wine we tried was fantastic and so reasonably priced. If you’re in the Barossa, and you especially have a fun sense of humor, make sure you stop by to see Val — it’s honestly one of the most memorable and enjoyable cellar door experiences you’ll ever have. Thanks Val 🥂

Loved loved Val, who was the host of Seibers wines. Very knowledgeable on the family wines and history. Val was one of the best hosts We have ever had the pleasure to do a tasting of lovely wines. Val made us laugh 😃 as we tried different wines and had us buying the families hard labour of wines 🍷 . The winery has won many presdujous awards for their wines. I would recommend going out to the winery and have a sitting with Val. I tried many wines I think I lost count after the 4 or 5th 🍷 wine. Over all had an amazing mid day tasting.

We were lucky as we were the only ones there and so it was a very intimate tastings experience. She explained the background stories of each of their wines as you tasted them. As well as, a bit of the overall history of the vineyard. The wines themselves are all amazing and varied - the Ernest Shiraz stands out, but so do they ALL! We had such a fun time with Val and we definitely will visit again on our next visit to the Barossa. Highly recommend this beautiful winery. 💕

Great wine tour, we enjoyed our driver, Roy, with his quick wit & jokes. Most wines were excellent, all of the servers were great. We would go again!

The winery tour with tasting and lunch was an exquisite experience, led by the knowledgeable guide, Baden. His commentary struck the perfect balance between being informative and engaging, sprinkled with delightful anecdotes. Each of the three wineries visited offered a unique perspective on winemaking, providing a diverse and enriching journey through the Barossa wine region. The highlight was undoubtedly the lunch, featuring a generous selection of high-quality platters, allowing us to indulge in a variety of flavors that complemented the wine tastings perfectly. Overall, it was a memorable day trip, characterized by impeccable service, delightful wines, and a relaxed ambiance. I highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking an authentic and enjoyable wine-tasting experience in the Barossa Valley.

Barossa Valley is a wine lover’s paradise! Rolling vineyards, charming cellar doors, and exquisite local wines make every visit a delightful experience. The scenic landscapes and gourmet food are unforgettable.

The Barossa Valley, just an hour's drive from Adelaide, remains one of Australia's most iconic wine regions. With over 150 wineries and more than 80 cellar doors, it offers a rich tapestry of experiences for wine enthusiasts. Diverse Wine Styles: While the region is renowned for its bold Shiraz, it also produces exceptional Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Mataro. Emerging producers are introducing lighter, biodynamic styles, reflecting a shift towards more nuanced winemaking . Innovative Practices: Wineries like Treasury Wine Estates are embracing cutting-edge technology, such as automated barrel halls, to enhance production efficiency and sustainability . Rich Heritage: The Barossa's history is deeply intertwined with German Lutheran settlement, influencing both its winemaking traditions and culinary offerings

A beautiful visit for a platter and tasting. Scarlett was young and knowledgeable. Friendly staff, delicious wine and locally sourced platter that enabled a taste sensation with the wine. Will definitely make this a seasonal spot and can't wait to get my hands on the E & E! Even on a dull, cold, winters day it's gorgeous.

Iconic Australian wine region making world class reds, especially Shiraz. It features some of the oldest vines in the country and produces some of the most well-known wines, such as the coveted Penfold's Grange Hermitage. There is something here for everyone and you'd be a fool not to go if you like your 🍷 So so much to see and do and not just wineries. We got help from the local tourist information centre, who were absolutely great, and booked a mini tour buss of the different types of wineries ,you can't go to all of them there's several hundred and it was fantastic fun. But! We also went to cheese factories, Gin distillers, Magge Beers, Dried fruits and so many more. The tourist information centre was able to book us into all sorts of special events as well, as an example a tea and cheese matching tasting at the Barrossa Valley Cheese Company & more. There's many types of Stay Facility available as well, from luxury to look after yourself units with full facilities. Great place, nice people, amazing wines, excellent food and I'm picky when it comes to food.

This place is as sick as I was after two rosé bottles in between the vines. Would absolutely get drunk there again. Bars and Pubs are lacking but the valley makes up for it with cool spots like the Barossa Valley Estate which offers very good deal for wine tasting in a charming atmosphere

The tasting room offers a stunning open-plan design and a cozy fireplace, creating a welcoming atmosphere. This place is 100% must stop and visit!! Ok, you have to ask how we ended up at this cellar door. Well that is a great? So the guy at East Coast Car Rental in Adelaide told us about this place. Crazy right. But true. Francis was our guide for the tasting. The wines were fabulous. This is a must !Stop! We sent an email to set up an appointment but that wasn’t really necessary. This is a very small hand crafted winery. Francis also gave us recommendations for Tasmania as far as restaurants and wines to try there.

I had the opportunity to visit Heritage Wines, a remarkable winery, a couple of years ago during inclement weather. Despite this, Steve and Nelson warmly welcomed me and offered an exquisite selection of wines to taste. It saddens me that I now reside on the opposite side of the globe, unable to conveniently purchase another bottle from their local store. Nevertheless, I commend them for their exceptional work and hope that one day I will have the chance to revisit.
Our first visit to the Granite Belt, what a surprise, there are some good wineries, and wines, made in Queensland! Late morning on a quiet Wednesday we called in at Heritage. Rob made us welcome and took us through a great tasting, laced with info and stories from the winery. Their reserve chardonny was outstanding! Altogether lovely experience.
Dave — Google review
Steve, who made the whole experience feel personal and inviting. I was referred by another local cellar who highly recommended Heritage for their exceptional Malbec and they weren’t wrong. The wine was absolutely beautiful smooth, unique. The grapes tasted so fresh and fruity, with just the right balance. Not too acidic, not too dry just pure, aromatic elegance in every sip. You can really tell there’s care and craft behind it. I’ll definitely be back. A hidden gem for any wine lover, especially if you’re after a standout Malbec.

Visited this amazing winery two years ago on a miserable rainy day. But Steve and Nelson gave us a warm welcome us in and we tried some really great wines. I'm truly sad to live on the other side of the world not being able to just pop in to a local store for another bottle. Keep up the good job, hopefully I will have the possibility to come back again. Barossa & Light Cab Service recommend Heritage Wines because we love this small family owned winery. The views are fantastic here at this 1950's cottage B&B, are great and Steve makes sure that everyone is made to feel welcome. There are full bodied wines here, and situated in Marananga is the perfect central location, being close to many other cellar doors including Torbreck, Penfolds, Hentley Farm, Seppeltsfield and many more. Be sure to pop in or stay here, the next time you are thinking of coming to the Barossa, and say "Hi!" to Steve and Heritage Wines.

The Keg Factory is a fascinating place to visit, offering a variety of kegs and oak accessories at more affordable prices than other outlets. Visitors can observe coopers crafting port kegs using both modern and traditional tools through the workshop's large window. It's highly recommended for woodworking enthusiasts and those interested in port production. Customers praise the quality of handcrafted kegs and the richness they bring to fortified wines.
Barossa & Light Cab Service rate The Keg Factory 5 out of 5 stars, because there is quality here, with the hand crafted port and spirit kegs, and we, at Barossa & Light Cab Service like the oak that is used here in the these kegs, which we find gives a richness and character to the fortified wines that we have. We love the keg that we bought from The Keg Factory, and be sure to drop in to The Keg Factory, when you are looking for a Keg, because you will not be disappointed.

A really interesting place to visit. You can purchase a range of kegs and oak (upcycled barrel staves) platters, wine glass holders and similar accessories etc.,...much cheaper than similar products available at the Tanunda Tourism office. Additionally you get to watch coopers (through the large workshop window) building port kegs using a range of modern and traditional tools, machines, and techniques. Highly recommended for all, especially those who like woodworking and port!

I have been a customer of Corroboree Dream Art Tanunda for some years now and have found both items I purchased and the customer service of a very high standard. The owner knows her stuff and makes every effort to fully explain the significance of the various artworks and items she sells. I fully appreciate the artwork must be treated in a respectful manner so to honour the artist. Accordingly, I have always followed her request on how to view the artwork and ensure it is not damaged. I have found such request to be both reasonable and easier to follow. I would recommend this small business to any buyer who is interested in genuine Aboriginal art and prepared to respect the artists. Tony Piccolo MP Member for Light.

Could not recommend Schubert any more! Alison took 6 star care of us, she was amazing. The house was modern with a gorgeous farmhouse design, we loved that each bedroom was spacious and had its own ensuite. The in house dinner was such a brilliant way to celebrate kicking off our wine weekend & the chefs from Fino and Appellation were just so outstanding. The food and service was great. We also drank so much of the Schubert estate wine. Overall we all said we would book again at the same house as it was great. Don’t hesitate to book this- just do it!

This family-run venture focuses on crafting exquisite small-batch wines, particularly Shiraz, Grenache, and Cinsault. Visitors often discover this hidden gem through recommendations or events like the Marananga Wine Show.
Had an amazing time at The Cutting, tasting the beautiful wines that Belinda has put her heart and soul into. Tasting with The Cutting was a truly memorable experience. Belinda was an absolute delight—so knowledgeable and welcoming. We loved chatting wine with her and learning about the incredible journey she and her family have taken to build their label. The Shiraz and Grenache were both exceptional, showcasing depth and elegance. We were especially drawn to their passion for Cinsault; bringing a straight varietal to the Valley adds a beautiful, lighter expression that clearly resonates—selling out almost immediately on release. We were lucky enough to secure some of the last couple of bottles. A must-visit for any wine lover exploring the region.

This boutique vineyard is truly a hidden gem, offering an intimate wine tasting experience led by winemaker Thomas White himself.
My god.... This place... Can I just say this was the best winery experience I have ever had. Tom had me eating out of the palm of his hand. The wines we a great mix of refreshing and light plus punch you in the face heavy! Will definitely return soon!

This was our last stop on a day of wine tasting and an absolutely perfect finish to the day. Tom was very down to earth, and it was great to get the wine maker's personal perspective. The wines themselves were the best we'd had all day, and the best I've personally had in the Barossa! It was a very informal process, lots of banter, and great chats, and the final touch of tasting from the barrels and vats just topped it off. 27/10 must visit!

Tom and Harriet were INCREDIBLE with our wine-loving, rowdy group! Honestly, all the wine was amazing and I’d drink it each day without concern. Thank you guys so much for having us!
Jessey B — Google review
An absolute hidden gem in the heart of Barossa. Chanced upon Curator Wine Co when we were staying in CABN- Chloe (located on the vineyard). Of all the wine tastings we did at the Barossa valley, this was by far the most personal and enjoyable. It was so enjoyable that we went twice and brought two other friends along the second time. The wine tasting was done by the wine maker himself (Thomas White) and it was an absolute privilege to hear a passion-forward introduction to a boutique vineyard. The stories of his work and thought processes behind the scenes was my favourite part and they were so inspiring that I found wondering if I could be part of the winemaking experience myself on his vineyard (next vintage maybe?). Besides tasting the current vintage releases, it was the most amazing experience when Tom brought us directly to his workspace where we sampled wine directly from the barrels that were still being aged. A common theme of the wines at Curator Wine Co was how perfumed it was on the nose, how rich the flavours were on the palate and how smooth the finish was, without the "reflux burn"(if you get what I mean). We were pleasantly surprised to know that the bottles were 14.5% - 15% alcohol percentage because of how easy to drink the wines were. Through our conversations, we were glad to know that Tom had plans to export his wines into Singapore. We cannot wait and will definitely be on a lookout for Curator Wine Co when it arrives in Singapore. Thank you Thomas for your hospitality and dedication to your craft. A must to visit in Barossa Valley for sure.

We just visited Curator Wine Co during our very short visit in the Barossa Valley. We came across their Cab Sav from our local bottleshop in Maroubra Beach after searching high and low for a good quality Cab Sav from Barossa Valley corked bottle. I highly recommend their wines and going and meeting them.

Goat Square, located on John St in Tanunda, is a historic site that used to be the ziegenmarkt, a meeting and market area. It opens every two years during the Barossa Vintage Festival and hosts a traditional German market selling fruits, vegetables, wine, and even animals like pigs, sheep, and rabbits. The square also features food stalls and lovely gardens. This unique community event in the heart of the Barossa Valley wine region is not to be missed by visitors.
As part of the Barossa Festival, the auction in Goat Square. Fabulous!!

This place is only open every 2 years during the Barossa Vintage Festival. They have a German market here as they did 100 years ago. They sell fruit, vegetables, wine, an animal, or 2, such as pigs, sheep, and rabbits. They also have food stalls. Great meeting place.

A truly unique and memorable fun community event held in the heart of the Berossa Valley wine region. Not to be missed by anyone visiting the area.

Nestled in the picturesque Barossa Valley, the Barossa Gin Lab is a haven for gin enthusiasts and creative spirits alike. Here, the focus shifts from traditional recipes to personal expression, allowing visitors to craft their own unique blends. During my recent visit, I participated in a Gin Blending Class led by the talented Elli Beer. This hands-on experience was nothing short of exceptional as we explored an array of botanicals to design a gin that truly reflected our individual tastes. The highlight?
We booked a Gin Blending Class at the Barossa Gin Lab and were lucky enough to have Elli Beer as our host for a private session. The experience was outstanding, Elli guides you through a hands-on process of experimenting with a wide range of botanicals to create a gin perfectly matched to your own taste. The best part? You get to take home two bottles of your very own creation – a brilliant keepsake of the day. We’ll definitely be back to try the cocktail class next time. The Gin Lab itself is set within the beautifully restored old Marananca School that now also houses a winery and cellar door, pottery studio, and one of South Australia’s most exciting up-and-coming restaurants, Staguni. It’s a destination in itself, and this class is an absolute must-do in the Barossa. Could not recommend it highly enough!

31Laughing Jack Wines - Barossa Valley

5.0

Winery
Nestled in the picturesque Barossa Valley, Laughing Jack Wines is a charming family-owned winery that truly embodies the art of winemaking. Shaun, the passionate winemaker, focuses on crafting wines that highlight rich flavors across the palate rather than rushing through production. Visitors are greeted with warmth and hospitality from Kirsten and her team, who share their extensive knowledge about both the wines and local history.
Simply stunning location with the friendliest owners and staff. After a day wine tasting Laughing Jack wines were the highlight of the day. Amazing wines

Kirsty and Briony were just lovely, knew all the wines, were genuine and friendly. The wines were interesting and genuine for the area, well priced. A lovely family run winery, beautiful indoor area. Lots of grass areas with games to play.

An Adelaide friend recommended Laughing Jacks winery and we visited on Saturday 19 August. We were welcomed by Shawn and Briony who took us through their selection of wines. With the log fire going and admiring the views, it really is a magical place. Almost forgot, the wines are great!

From start to finish we felt welcome. Wine tasting was lovely. The views are amazing. Mataro was our personal favourite of the wines that we were offered to try.

Hidden gem of a family winery (please don't drink ALL their wine!) Shaun makes wine the way it is meant to be made, with a emphasis on flavour throughout the palate, not in the "modern" way of getting the berries into the vats, then into the barrels, then bottles, and out of their cellar as quickly as possible. You must try some of his wines to see for yourself! Update: new cellar door is now open 20 am to 4 pm Thurs to Sat

Absolutely amazing cellar door! We got lucky and had Briony all to ourselves for our tasting. The venue is intimate, styled beautifully and the view is lovely. The wine is also very tasty. Will definitely come back again and in the meantime order more wine!

What a fantastic winery! I'll definitely be coming back as the staff were incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable about their wines. A very earthy barn feel when inside the venue and the view you look out to is absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to come back and try the remaining wines
Tim S — Google review
Shawn the owner gave our larger group the tasting himself and it was the best $10 we've ever spent. Left with a trolley loaded with wine and smiles on our faces.

Hare's Chase wines are wonderful. I'm so glad that Dan Murphy's stock them so that we in WA can enjoy. I especially like the shiraz.
