Located in a cave on Dajbabe hill, the Dajbabe Monastery is a Serbian Orthodox Christian monastery that was established in 1897. It is part of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The monastery holds religious significance and is known for its unique setting inside a cave, making it an intriguing site to visit. While slightly off the beaten path, it offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere for visitors to explore.
I had the opportunity to visit Dajbabe Monastery and was deeply impressed by this unique spiritual place. Located on a quiet hill near Podgorica, the monastery radiates peace and a strong spiritual presence. What fascinated me the most was the interior of the church, carved into the rock – unusual and almost mystical, which makes this monastery truly stand out compared to others I’ve visited. The monks were kind and welcoming, willing to share the history and significance of the site. The surroundings are serene and full of natural beauty – perfect for prayer, reflection, or simply escaping the noise of everyday life. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking spiritual peace or looking to discover some of Montenegro’s hidden cultural gems. A heartfelt recommendation for every traveler – whether you're a believer, a history enthusiast, or just curious.

To get there you can use the bus, which takes about €1 but longer time or a taxi. The place is nice with an interesting history. It takes very little time to see. The souvenir shop was nice, with many religious stuff. The guy that attended was super super nice! I think is worth the trip of you are into churches.

We liked this place more than Ostrog monastery. Amazing church in a caves, no people, easy to arrive
Anna S — Google review
Nice place for a quick visit. Free entry. Free decent paved parking lot. There was car glass on the parking lot indicating break ins, so don't leave your important belongings behind in the car. Small but well maintained. Small souvenir shop. Like how they've done it with lighting a candle for only 20 eurocents. Be sure to check out the caves behind the altar in the room. Neatly done.

Very kind and welcoming people. A must visit place if you come to Podgorica. Just take bus line number 1 or get here by car.

Extremly beautiful monastery, you must visit it! Its free of charge, they have plenty of free parking and what you get its worth the trip!
Andreas-Robert T — Google review
The Dajbabe Monastery was dedicated to Uspenje Bogorodice or the Assumption of Mary, the monastery was founded in 1897. In the beginning, only the space of the cave was used as a sanctuary, with the plan to be expanded later with chapels. The visible part of the church is situated outside the cave, depicting a spacious entrance porch with two belfries. The Dajbabe Monastery also possesses a reliquary with the relics of St. Simeon Dajbabe.
Dmitriy A — Google review
From Podgorica there are no signs to this monastry whatsoever. You get there with narrow suburban road and there is nothing along the road that indicates an important landmark is nearby. Once there a house among hundreds of olive trees emerges, looking quite modern and uninteresting. Inside however there are impressive catacombs that hide a lot of history. A guy working in a shop was polite enough to give us 15-minute history lesson of the place.

Bridge
Sights & Landmarks
Old Ribnica River Bridge, located in Podgorica, is a historical landmark with typical Ottoman architecture. It spans the Ribnica river and is situated in the old part of the city. The bridge dates back to Roman times and was restored by the Ottomans in the 18th century. Surrounded by a beautiful park, it offers a serene environment for leisurely walks and relaxation.
The bridge itself is full of history but nothing too special. The highlight is the park surrounding it instead, it's quiet and chill, perfect for a short afternoon walk.
Yuhng Y — Google review
At the end of July, it was a rather sad experience. No water below the bridge. The bridge itself is nothing special. Two stars only because this was still the most beautiful place we could find in Podgorica. Podgorica is definitely not worth visiting.

Podgorica isn't a place for tourists. They mostly visit Kotor Bay or the coast instead of the capital. At some point I can understand why but Podgorica has something very different that is worth to explore in my opinion, even if you just spend 2 hours in this city. This bridge is such a charming calm place with a waterfall and a little gorge. I can't recommend this place enough, I liked it a lot!
Oliver L — Google review
You should visit and take a bikini or shorts for swimming in the lake. This is an amazing Ottoman work, and right below it you can definitely swim in the lake. There’s also a small, cozy café where you can grab a drink.

The Gallery of Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro is a vibrant and modern hub for art in Podgorica, showcasing ever-changing exhibitions from both renowned and emerging artists. The building itself is an interesting piece of architecture with two beautiful floors. Visitors can expect a varied collection without a specific theme, making it perfect for art enthusiasts seeking diverse experiences. While explanations about the pieces may be lacking, the gallery offers a quiet and reflective space to appreciate contemporary art.
A ticket gives access to five small locations with a diverse and interesting collection of modern art. Nice walk around the city to boot.
Elmer S — Google review
I was very happy to discover that Podgorica has a couple of lovely gallery’s and museums. If you happen to be in the city and enjoy art, the Gallery of Contemporary Art is a must see. Well curated and hung, if in a compact building. If your other half isn’t into art they won’t get too upset about loosing you to the gallery. Even if you digest your art slowly it would take 30 minutes max to go around. The 5 Euro entrance also gets you a day pass to two other galleries which are in walking distance. I give my compliments to the curator. As an artist and curator, it’s always wonderful to see really good work :). The exhibition I saw was of an artist I was unfamiliar with MIRSAD BEGIĆ “OŽIVLJENI ZAPISI”, but who I will be looking up directly. Also if you are in Podgorica in August apparently a Yoko Ono retrospective will be on, after her wonderful one at the Tate Modern in London I’d be very curious to see how they curate the exhibition here, unfortunately I will miss it.
Alexa M — Google review
A small but interesting gallery of contemporary art. Very varied, not sure there was a theme. I didn't get much in the way of explanation about the pieces though. Still, it was well worth the visit, and free.

Space of remembrance
Independence Square, located in the heart of downtown Podgorica, Montenegro, is a popular destination for tourists. The government quarter surrounds the square, featuring the city hall and the Parliament of Montenegro. Opposite these buildings stands the Palace of King Nikola, which houses the Center for Contemporary Art showcasing significant works by Montenegrin artists and sculptors. The square comes to life at night with children playing and businesses staying open late.
We visited in the evening to avoid the daytime heat. The atmosphere was fantastic, with restaurants all around and people playing music and putting on small shows. It’s the perfect place to spend a pleasant evening.

At some point I can understand why but Podgorica has something very different that is worth to explore in my opinion, even if you just spend 2 hours in this city. But I can't believe that this is supposed to be the glorious city centre. This place looks horrible and you can't find anything photogenic. In my opinion it's a shame to present a place like this to the public in the capital city of a country.

Nice, big place in city centre. People hangout often in summer evenings
Pamod A — Google review
Nothing too much. The city it's self is organized and easy. Not too many highlights to see and none of them impossing. As such with the square. Visited in deep Summer on Sunday and it was almost empty. Most propably it has more people other times of the year. Had a coffee and food in Hard Rock Cafe on the square which was not bad.

Historical landmark
Sahat Kula, the oldest neighborhood in Podgorica, reflects its 400-year history as the heart of an Ottoman Turkish town. The blocky clock tower, built in the 17th century, stands as a beautiful landmark. Although it is located a bit far from the city center and may not attract many visitors, it offers an interesting stone look and is surrounded by a pretty park.
Beautiful clock tower constructed during 17. Century. It is a bit far from city center and not many people are visiting it.
Tom W — Google review
Cute tower, with a couple of old local cafes next to it. What you see is what you get, however it survived the bombings of the ww2 and is historic, worth checking out if you have a meander through the old town
Alexa M — Google review
Nice old tower but nothing much around here other than that. Located at Old Town
J — Google review
Nice little tower. Cannot go inside though.
Tim H — Google review
The Clock Tower is a nice “must-see” for a short visit in Podgorica if you’re interested in history and a little old-town ambience. I’d rate it 4 out of 5 stars. It does exactly what you want: gives you a historic landmark, a photo opportunity, and a link to the city’s past — but it won’t fill a long afternoon by itself. If I were visiting Podgorica, I’d plan perhaps 20-30 minutes at the tower, then stroll around the surrounding Old Town area, maybe stop for a coffee at a nearby café.
Amrit D — Google review

Historical landmark
The Vladimir Vysotsky Monument, located near the Millennium Bridge, pays tribute to the renowned Russian poet, actor, and writer. Despite being overlooked by the Soviet cultural establishment, Vysotsky had a profound impact on Russian culture with his distinctive singing style and socially conscious lyrics. The monument in Podgorica is a rare homage to him outside of the former Soviet Union.
Vysotsky wrote a poem ''For the Montenegrins'' about Montenegro, and this is his only monument to him outside the borders of the former Soviet Union.

The Russian Elvis, Vladimir Vysotsky became widely known for his unique singing style and for his lyrics, which featured social and political commentary in often humorous street jargon. He was also a prominent stage and screen actor. Ignored by the official Soviet cultural establishment, Vlad had an immense and enduring effect on Russian culture.

Kourosh M — Google review
The Vladimir Vysotsky Monument is set in a really cool spot that’s perfect for a quiet break. It’s not just about the statue—there’s a great view of the nearby bridge, a peaceful stream, and a small park where you can sit and relax. The monument itself is a nice tribute, but what makes the visit special is the atmosphere around it. It’s a great place to pause, enjoy the scenery, and take in a bit of local character. Definitely worth a stop if you’re walking through the area.

Situated along the European Route E65, the Morača River Viewpoint offers a breathtaking drive through the mountains with stunning views of the lush canyon. The turquoise river winding through tall pine trees creates a picturesque scene that feels far removed from urban surroundings. It's an ideal spot to take in nature's beauty and unwind amidst serene landscapes. Whether you're passing by or seeking a peaceful hangout, this viewpoint is worth a visit for its natural charm and tranquil ambiance.
This viewpoint doesn't feel like it's in the middle of the city.

What a disappointment! The view is obstructed by high bushes, and the smell tells you that people use this spot as a toilet, and not only for small businesses. The heat of July added to the smell.

Discover the diverse culinary scene of Podgorica Municipality with a variety of dining options to choose from. Whether you're craving Indian cuisine at Pod Volat, seafood at Porto, or pizza at Konoba 'Lanterna' Podgorica, there's something for every palate. With recommendations like Hotel Hemera and more, you can explore the best flavors in the area.
June 2024 – Podgorica, Montenegro For dinner in the Montenegrin capital, we chose Pod Volat, widely known as one of the most popular spots in Podgorica — and it didn’t disappoint. The portions were incredibly generous. We shared a traditional local dish made with grilled pork and regional-style köfte, both full of flavor and perfectly cooked. And then came the baklava... Served in a slice almost the size of a hand, it looked just like a layered walnut cake — rich, golden, and truly tempting. It did have a slightly burnt aftertaste, which may be part of the local style — interesting nonetheless. We had two plates of baklava, a beer, and a cola, and the total was €40. A very filling, flavorful, and memorable meal in the heart of the capital!
Sevil Ö — Google review
I tried this place because it was suggested in my Lonely Planet Guide and I wasn't disappointed! The place is very nice and very big: they have inside tables, outside tables and also a terrace (which I recommend). They let us choose the place we wanted. From the terrace you have a view of the clock tower. The atmosphere is very nice and the waiters very kind. Ours memorized the entire order without a notes, cool! The menu is huge and filled with traditional dishes, perfect for foreigners who want to try them out. Super tasty dishes, I'd like to try more but I was full. The portion are very generous, watch out: the weight of the dish is reported on the menu tho, so you can't go wrong. They serve appetizers, main dishes, meat plates, many many salads and side dishes. Beer is incredibly cheap. Prices are top! I would strongly recommend to go there if you want to fill yourself but not to empty the wallet.
Lorenzo W — Google review
It's a really nice place, it's the tourists favorite because it's centric and has good reviews if you Google it. But as said for a lot of locals it's not the best and after I tried some others I can still say they're really good, I recommend it cause it's good food but not the best compare to other. Service is okay and prices are more expensive than other local gems, I spend around 28€ for fries, tripe in sauce, beef soup, bread and water.
Geovanny P — Google review
Food portions were huge. Caesar salad was not good. Normally Caesar salad does not have tomatoes or cucumbers. This salad they gave me in the name of Caesar salad was just tomato, cucumbers and lettuce on a plate with some chicken. Would not recommend the salad for sure. Hubby liked his steak. Service was not good. They were packed with people and no one was paying attention. It took me 15 minutes to keep waiving the waiter just to get some salt and pepper. No silverware or glasses were given either. Overall, they needed more servers. Not the waiters fault. He had too many tables to handle.
Anita K — Google review
I came here on multiple occasions and liked the food here a lot. It can get busy and the waiters are hurried but they do their job. Most importantly the food is great, huge portions and good taste. It's a proper sit down experience , with AC inside or with outside seating for the smoking-addicted.
Ati C — Google review
Atmosphere and service was good, it was a large and peaceful restaurant as we went around 11:00. The food was quite disappointing and I would say it lacked flavour. The soup that we got was flavourless and the kebab meat was too salty!! Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the restaurant very well and wished we had chosen another option. Quite expensive compared to others and it was definitely not worth it! Except for the bread, very delicious. ⭐⭐⭐
Sophie T — Google review
Overall a must visit if you’re in Podgorica. The food was absolutely amazing!!! Especially the cevapi with kajmak are a must try. Marko was our waiter and he was incredible funny charming and very attentive. He had good recommendations and made the overall experience much better. Thank you Marko!!!

Such an excellent forest park, walking distance from the city. Paved and rocky paths, adventure-style setup too. And a climbing wall ! No vehicles inside the park itself. Cool on a hot day, high enough a hill to get good breezes. And cool in the other sense in any weather ...

Wonderful place to take a long walk or run. It is on a hill and when the weather is nice, it's a nice activity for couples, friends or families. There is a cafe, that is nice to take a break. There are nice views from Gorica. I've been a few times and it is one of m favorite places of Podgorica.

The best part of this city is Gorica Park. An absolutely beautiful oasis in the centre of the city. Full of paved trails, there are also hiking paths through the brush. At the highest point the views are amazing. There is an outdoor gym and a football field on top. Two cafe's, one at the entrance and the other about 1/3 the way up the hill. See native Hermann tortoises, plant species, beautiful big shade trees and lots of people out exercising. What an absolutely treasure this space is for the city, I hope they keep maintaining it as well as they currently are.
Carol D — Google review
Beautiful park, from the top you can enjoy a wonderful view.
Jomin N — Google review
We liked this big park on the hill in downtown Podgorica. The hill's name is Gorica and the city founded under that hill got its name Podgorica, which literally means 'Under the hill'. The park is located right on this relatively low hill (its height is about 130 meters) that combined with the rich evergreen vegetation creates a unique microclimate shading you in the hot summer and protecting from cold winds in winter. There's a great adventure park for kids over 4 years old. In October 2025 it still worked (7 Euro for a 4 year old), but some paths already looked worn out. It's still safe but needs attention. The path for adults looks abandoned and you can see only some remains of it. But the working paths are still good and kids love it. There's also a small playground and several cafes around. The park was planted with trees in the 20th century (before it had been just a grass hill), so there's a variety of trees including nice pines. By the entrance there's a beautiful St.George's church that is also worth visiting.

The Natural History Museum of Montenegro is a modest yet captivating attraction that showcases a diverse range of natural history displays, including native flora, insects, fossils, and wildlife. Situated in Podgorica, it stands out as one of the city's notable landmarks. Visitors can explore an array of informative exhibits while enjoying the museum's engaging atmosphere. Despite its size, this museum offers free admission and provides an enriching experience for all who visit.
This place was great, it's only small but it's also only 2 euros so it's definitely worth stopping by. We had a great time.

Difficult to locate museum. Little to nothing inside. The presentation of the very few items was poorly executed. Noting is written in English, so you must utilize your translator function to its fullest on your DCD (smart phone). I am constantly amazed at how few curators of museums obtain an actual education from an accredited university and are employed yet do such a truly deplorable job. This is an excellent example of a missed opportunity.

it shows that the staff in doing their best, but it will be a long time to get to western museum level. still a nice visit for 1-2 hours with young children

On Saturday we had luck at 12:30. It was open till 2 p.m. without lunch break (13:00-13:30). It is a smaller museum, such an exposition of minerals, snakes, amphibians, butterflies, beetles, insects, birds and fish. The accompanying exhibition there was the history of tea, its cultivation and processing of varieties. The descriptions of the exhibits are only in the Cyrillic of the Montenegrin language... It was a good thing that I learned to read texts in azbuka during my elementary school. I have a recommendation to the museum: English descriptions for foreign tourists would also be great.

Interesting museum, definitely worth seeing with family. Kids were jumping all over the place all the time. Not to much things to see that one could expect, but still was interesting to see what animals can be seen in Montenegro

A quite small museum, but it costs only 2 Euro for adults to enter. They are closed for 30 min around 1 pm. No info in English except one sign where it says that it is forbidden to touch the glass in order to disturb the snakes :)

The stuffed animals in the photos are removed from the exhibition. There is only the spices exhibition which is not worth visiting. Entrance fee is 1€.

Indian restaurant
Masala Art is a popular Indian and Asian restaurant in Podgorica, known for its excellent menu and dining experience. The restaurant offers a perfect blend of flavors and spices, making it a top choice for visitors. With its focus on delivering high-quality seafood, Masala Art provides a sleek and modern dining environment that appeals to those seeking fresh and delicious Indian cuisine in the city.
A Hidden Gem for Authentic North Indian Food in Podgorica! I’m originally from South India and was visiting Podgorica on holiday with a group of North Indian friends. One of the highlights of our trip turned out to be Masala Art! My friends took me there saying it had great North Indian food—and they were absolutely right. Every dish we tried was incredibly flavorful, authentic, and reminded my friends of home. In fact, a few dishes were even better than what they get back home! We were in Montenegro for 5 days and ended up eating at Masala Art on at least 4 of them—sometimes even more than once a day. That says it all. The staff were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond. Not only was the service excellent, but they also helped us with local travel tips and itinerary suggestions, which made our experience in Podgorica even better. Highly recommended if you’re craving real, delicious Indian food while in Montenegro. Don’t miss this place!
Manna O — Google review
The restaurant is art - everything is perfect. The Indian food was delicious and authentic, and the atmosphere was very special and calming – something you definitely don't find easily in Montenegro. The service was at high level - kind and professional, and I felt absolutely great during my dinner. Very clean, quiet and nice location. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high quality food, unique taste and a great vibe!

On our Balkans trip, we stopped at Masala Art in Podgorica for lunch—great atmosphere, excellent food, and very friendly staff. The owner gave honest suggestions on what to order, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended!

We discovered Masala Art towards the end of our Montenegro trip when we were craving some good rice & dal. The ambience is fantastic, warm, elegant, and cosy. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. The chaat items weren’t exactly authentic. Tasty but not quite what we were expecting. However, the main courses like the dal, veg and non-veg curries were genuinely delicious, flavourful and comforting. The staff here are incredibly friendly and attentive, always greeting you with a smile and making sure you feel well taken care of. If you’re in Podgorica and craving Indian food, this is a great spot for a relaxed meal and warm hospitality.
Krishnandu S — Google review
I loved everything about Masala Art. There is ample inside and outside seating. The chairs are comfortable and in muted tones setting-up a relaxed vibe. The service was warm, inviting and attentive. I have eaten here several times and will again before I leave Podgorica. The food was fresh and prepared when ordered and was flavorful and delicious - with just the right amount of heat to compliment the myriad of flavors. I over ordered food both times so I could take it home to enjoy for several more days. I highly recommend treating yourself to a fabulous meal (or two) here.

Absolutely outstanding! 🌟 Masala art in Podgorica is a true gem - the food is authentic, full of flavor, and of the highest quality. Every dish we tried was simply delicious and prepared with such care. The service is exceptional - warm, attentive, and truly makes you feel like royalty. 👑 The atmosphere is beautiful and unique, almost like stepping into another world. Combined with excellent prices, it’s not just a meal, it’s a full experience. Without a doubt, one of the very best restaurants in Montenegro - if not the best. Highly recommended! 🙌🍛✨

Chai was the only thing that was good and naan. Overpriced, one and only Indian restaurant in town. Not just bad food, pretty terrible. The meat dish is supposed to be thicker and not water down runny. The samunder biryani had the color but no masala in it. If they are representing Indian cuisine in Montenegro, they should also make sure to make it right. We were one of the two couple in the restaurant so it was pretty quiet. So can’t judge the atmosphere. The picture frames and decor is from India so they have kept that authentic. But now they need to work on the actual food preparation. Very disappointed.

Bodies of Water
Vodopad Nijagara, also known as Niagara Falls in Podgorica, is a stunning natural attraction located on the Cijevna River. Its close proximity to a vast and lush plain enhances its beauty, making it a picturesque sight for visitors. The waterfall is quite powerful, contrasting with the calm and tranquil river leading up to it. It's advisable to wear sturdy walking shoes if you plan to explore the rocky areas near the falls.
We went when it was too hot, so there was no water 'fall', but the water was beautiful. Bright blue and very clear, you could see the bottom where it was shallow. The color of the water was even better than some of the Montenegrin beaches. Lots of people were swimming in the water. There is a restaurant nearby. I loved this place.
Farsana S — Google review
Very nice waterfall unlike the restaurant next to it(minus 5⭐). You can go admire the waterfall as much as you feel like, there were moments when there were no other people, most of them take 1 or 2 photos and go. We went there on 07.11 and the stream was very powerfull. The contrast between the calm water before the fall and the force of the water after that is magical, also the color of the water is very beautiful green. If you are hoping to eat better bring your own food because the waiters are very lazy and won't come to you even if you wait 20 minutes not even to bring a menu. If you sit on table and eat your own food they will not even bother you I guess. That is the reason I am not sure if it worth it if you have to divert from your main path more than 15 minutes as there are nk hiking options or other activities.
Жоро Б — Google review
Not much water falling down on Sunday October 19th. Still worth a quick stop if in the area. This marker leads to a rundown viewpoint of the artificial falls from above. Few parking spots along the road. If you walk a little to the left when standing on the viewpoint facing the falls, for only like 25 meters, there is a very well hidden and overgrown stairwell going down to the falls. It leads you straight to the falls to take a close by picture. No need to go to or through the restaurant. No railings, no paths, no safety measures whatsoever down there, so be cautious. Free parking, free entry.
Koen Z — Google review
What a gorgeous swimming hole and perfect place to cool down on a hot day. With the restaurant right next door for a beer, you can’t ask for much more. One tip, enter and exit from the north-east direction (if you’re on the north side of the river). If you use the road heading south-west, the potholes are awful. Also, Google’s questions don’t make much sense. There are no tickets, so you don’t need to buy them in advance. We got parking on the road above the river, but the restaurant has a parking lot too. On a hot Tuesday afternoon in mid June it wasn’t super busy. I imagine it must get packed out on the weekend.
Ruth D — Google review
This place is magnificent! The best thing about the restaurant is its extraordinary location and surroundings, for sure, but the service is also top-level, and I really loved the coffee I ordered 👌😎✨️ It was a 10-15 minute drive from Podgorica, on Sunday, and it's definitely worth visiting. It can get crowded and it often is, but yesterday it was very tranquil and mildly crowded. More people started coming around lunch time. Highly recommended! 🎉✨️👌🙏

A hidden gem just outside Podgorica! The waterfall may not be huge, but the setting is beautiful—especially in spring when the water flow is strong. we visited the place in early June, It’s a peaceful spot to relax, take photos, and enjoy the sound of the river. Super easy to reach by car, and there’s even a nice restaurant right by the falls where you can have fresh trout with a great view. All Food is halal. Special thanks to waiter Karam a very nice Turkish man who took a very good care of us. Don’t expect anything wild or touristy—just a calm, natural escape close to the city. Worth a quick stop if you're in Podgorica.
Haytham A — Google review
It's a beautiful local sight,a magical waterfall. The area is so beautiful around.
Viktoria O — Google review
Impressive during winter time. So much water! It is not easy to find, as there are no signs along the road and not even a proper parking lot. The best parking is at the Niagara Restaurant, which is built right next to the waterfall. The viewing platform and the stairs that lead down to the rocks have definitely seen better times. A lot of litter around. The waterfall is definitely worth a stop. Be careful, as the rocks are difficult to walk on, and the currents are strong. P.S. we went there again on 21 July 2025, and there was not one drop of water. The riverbed was completely dry. It was clearly visible that the waterfall itself is an artificial structure (by the owners of the restaurant maybe?) and not a natural wonder.

It’s not anything too crazy but it’s the big shopping mall you’re looking for in Podgorica if that’s where you wanna go then this is a place as a lot of clothing brands as foods as T-Mobile has a big food market so overall it’s pretty nice. Music is pretty loud and there is a lot of fitna.
Mercy S — Google review
The place is more of a shopping complex than a shopping mall. It lacks a food court, offering only a few dining options that are expensive compared to other places in Podgorica. There are limited seating areas, making it difficult to rest without sitting at one of the dining tables, which often crowd the walking areas along with kiosks. However, the air conditioning is excellent, and the complex features many well-known brands. Its location is also very convenient, though parking requires a fee.
Ahmet A — Google review
Among all the European countries I’ve traveled to, this place has the worst attitude among its people. It feels outdated and lacking in modern spirit—everyone seems cold and indifferent. Even the staff in big shopping malls are rude: they throw the change, toss the receipt, and just leave the coffee on the counter without calling us to pick it up. People here act as if they don’t welcome visitors at all. No wonder the country’s development is slow and it remains far from prosperous. Even one star is too generous. Every German traveler we met along the way said the people here have terrible attitudes. We’ll never come back to this country again — we’d rather go to North Macedonia. Absolutely awful.
Pigeon C — Google review
We came for a 5-day visit in Budva, Montenegro and because we didn't too much shopping centers there with the type of clothes that we like we took a bus to Podgorica and went to "Big Fashion" There. I have to say that the mall is really nice. First of all it is a huge place with a lot of different stores and different restaurants. The place is clean with nice and friendly staff and the prices there aren't expensive as we expected them to be. We will definitely come there again in the future

The King Nikola Monument in Podgorica, Montenegro is a remarkable sight to see. This 35-meter-tall bronze monument pays tribute to King Nikola, the former monarch of Montenegro. Situated in the downtown area near King Nikola Park, the statue depicts him riding a horse and commemorates his reign as prince from 1860 to 1910 and as king from 1910 to 1918.
In 1910, Nikola proclaimed himself King of Montenegro, marking the country’s transition from a principality to a kingdom. This move was part of his broader efforts to elevate Montenegro’s status on the European stage.

In the downtown area there is a statue of King Nicola riding a horse. He was the Prince on Montenegro from 1860 to 1910. He later became Montenegro's first and only King starting in 1910 until Montenegro was taken over by Austria Hungry. He Introduced Montenegro's first constitution and it's freedom of press. He even established vineyards and set up rules for grape cultivation; therefore laying the foundation for wine making in the country. This statue is cool and is right off of a main road; which makes it easy to find. After walking around the statue, you can walk around or sit down and relax.

The Osmanagic Mosque, also known as the Old Doganjska (Starodoganjska) Mosque, is a splendid and elegant Ottoman mosque located in the old town of Podgorica, Montenegro. It features a separate section for women upstairs and a place for Wudu. The mosque is well-maintained and offers a great atmosphere for prayer. Although parking can be challenging, visitors can find free parking nearby or on the surrounding streets.
Podgorica isn't a place for tourists. They mostly visit Kotor Bay or the coast instead of the capital. At some point I can understand why but Podgorica has something very different that is worth to explore in my opinion, even if you just spend 2 hours in this city. This mosque is the pearl of Podgorica's strange old town. Because you can't find any shops there. But I liked strolling through the small streets of this neighbourhood in the morning. Petrovic Castle, also known as Dvorac Petrovica, has been transformed into an art gallery that showcases contemporary art exhibitions. The castle is a stunning architectural marvel and is surrounded by picturesque gardens that are open to the public. It serves as a cultural venue supporting both local and international artists, providing a platform for artistic expression. Visitors can explore various rooms filled with captivating artwork from around the world in a relaxed atmosphere.
An amazing experience, there was a wonderful Yoko Ono exhibition “Unfinished “ on, in London, Paris or NYC, you would have had to book ages in advance. I had the treat of being there solo! Also on show was Sinisa Ilic with an installation discussing space and migration “In the Garden of Bodies, Instrument’s and the afternoon sun” . The museum itself is a charming 19th Century Villa converted into a museum, situated in a park with sculptures doted around, a charming chapel with a lovely mosaic above its door, and benches to sit enjoy the park and sculptures. If you like art I highly recommend popping by, even if you don’t resonate with the artists on show as it’s a lovely location. (Near the American embassy)

A charming historic gem in the heart of Podgorica! This elegant castle, once the residence of Montenegro’s royal family, now houses a modern art gallery and a peaceful park. The blend of history and contemporary culture is fascinating, and the surrounding gardens are perfect for a relaxing stroll. The café offers a nice spot to enjoy coffee with a view. The only downside is that some areas could use better signage or more detailed historical info. Still, a must-visit for architecture lovers and those seeking a quiet escape in the city.

It is situated only three kilometres from the remnants of the ancient city of Dioklitia (this place is called Doclea today) and considered to be its inseparable part and a logical continuation. Both of these sites have been visited many times since the end 19th century by numerous explorers (writers of travelling prose, archaeologists and ethnologists) who made valuable notes about them. First archacologi During summer months over a periid of 4 years, from 1956 1959, archaeologists from the Archaeological Institute of Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences in Belgrade (V. Korac, I. Nikolajevic, Dj. Stricevic) found the remains of two churches: a three-nave basilica and a tricon- hose church. Among the most important findings was certainly also a marble sarcophagus found in the northern part of basilica's narthex, and the baptismal font found roughly in the same part of the triconhose church's narthex. Both churches were decorated with beautiful pieces of carved stone. Some of these pieces were made by local craftsmen and some of them imported from abroad. According investigations s were buill either by the end of 5th century or in the first half of 6th century. After the destruction churches city's bishop probably moved to one these churches in the Zlatica. It is uncertain whether the monastery was active in the middie ages as a cemetery since many graves were found during the recent excava- tions. In 1886 of the Kuci clan and the brigadier of Zetska nahija district Vaso Bracanov Ivanovic built himself family house just outside the edges of monastery's yard. These are times of the liberation trom the Turkish the Montenegrin state but we can assume that the ground around the church was used All of the above inspired His Eminence Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral Amfilohije to begin serving the Holy Liturgy in Zlatica on every Palm Sunday during Great Lent as of 1997. Afterwards follo- wed the decision to rebuild the monastery and to establish also, the foundations the addiction recovery centre which will offer spiritual and medical help, as well shelter to young people. We're the year 2001 almost 1550 years away from the 4th Eeu- menical Council held in Chalcedon. Bishop of Dioklitia Evandros took part in the Council's proceedings. Wishing appropriately commemo- rate this important event from the history of Christ's Church, and also wishing to remember his predecessor metropolitan Amfilohije decided to start an edition called Bishop of Dioclitia Evandros and print a book dedicated to the rebuilding of Zlatica monastery. Orthodox church
Nestled at the base of Gorica Hill, St. George Church stands as a testament to Montenegro's rich historical tapestry. Dating back between the 9th and 11th centuries, it is recognized as the oldest preserved structure in Podgorica and one of its most significant pre-Romanesque monuments. This Orthodox church not only serves as an active place of worship but also embodies a unique blend of Eastern and Western cultural influences.
The place is very nice, and I like coming here sometimes.
Boris P — Google review
(Translated by Google) In the very center of Podgorica, next to the Budućnosti stadium, located under Gorica, is the church of St. George, the oldest active Christian place of worship in Montenegro. This place of worship is one of the oldest buildings in Podgorica, and for decades it was the only place of worship. There are no preserved historical sources about the origin of the older church of St. George. However, according to the elders of this church, it is over 900 years old. An underground passage located in the altar area, through which an adult can barely fit, and which is covered by a corresponding stone cover with an alcove. However, it has never been officially announced whether the passage still exists. Because of its history and tradition, but also because of its location, the Church of St. George is particularly interesting for Orthodox believers in Podgorica. The church is very frequented by believers. This is how the start of fasting is announced in the traditional way, instead of ringing a bell, the priest, by hitting a wooden object on another wooden object, circling around the church, announces the service that marks the beginning of the Easter fast.

The Millennium Bridge, a modern cable-stayed bridge stretching 173 meters over the Morača River, stands as an iconic symbol of Podgorica's progressive spirit. Its contemporary architecture contrasts with the historic Clock Tower and remnants of the Ottoman Stara Varoš settlement, showcasing the city's multicultural heritage. Additionally, the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ reflects Podgorica's religious and cultural revival.
The Millennium Bridge in Podgorica is a modern, elegant crossing. Great for a stroll and city views.

The Millennium Bridge is one of Podgorica’s most iconic landmarks. Its modern design is sleek and impressive, especially when lit up at night. The views from the bridge, overlooking the Morača River, are quite picturesque and make for a nice walk or photo spot. It’s a simple but striking piece of architecture that adds character to the city. The area around the bridge is well-maintained, though it can get busy with foot traffic during peak times. Overall, it’s a great spot to visit for both locals and tourists.
Enoch O — Google review
Probably the most famous landmark in Podgorica. Cool modern design and great views over the Morača River. It’s not a place where you spend a lot of time, but it’s nice to walk across, take a few pics, and enjoy the scenery—especially around sunset. If you’re in town, it’s worth checking out.
Haytham A — Google review
Great place to stop by if you’re walking around Podgorica. The view of the bridge is awesome—especially with the mountains in the background and the river below. There’s a little riverside café tucked under the trees that’s super chill, with outdoor seating right by the water. Nice for a drink or just to sit and enjoy the scenery. It’s quiet, not too touristy, and feels a bit hidden away. Definitely worth checking out if you’re nearby.

Nice modern bridge, underneath there’s a walk way along the beautiful river

It can be nice spot if you like to take photos of architecture or traffic. I like it mire during the day but didn’t have time to take photo. Sharing night one. Also interesting.

The Millennium Bridge is a cool, modern landmark right in the same area as the Vladimir Vysotsky Monument. It’s got a sleek design and offers a great view over the river and surrounding park. It’s especially nice to walk across around sunset or just sit nearby and enjoy the atmosphere. The whole area feels open and relaxing, with a nice mix of nature and urban scenery. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the neighborhood.

Churches & Cathedrals
The Orthodox Temple of Christ's Resurrection in Podgorica is a modern and monumental church with intricately carved stonework and an ornate interior adorned with gilded frescoes. Constructed between 1993 and 2003, this popular landmark features glossy yet tasteful interiors, reminiscent of the cathedral in Kotor. The cathedral's vibrant frescoes depict biblical scenes as well as local historical stories, including a controversial depiction of Hell featuring political figures.
This is one of the most magnificent and peaceful places I have visited in Podgorica. The architecture of the Orthodox Temple of Christ's Resurrection is simply breathtaking. Every detail, from the marble facade to the stunning mosaics, reflects deep spiritual and cultural symbolism. At night, the temple is beautifully illuminated, creating a magical and serene atmosphere. The interior is just as impressive, with grand chandeliers, vibrant frescoes, and a profound sense of tranquility. Visitors are welcome to enter respectfully, and the ambiance encourages quiet reflection and admiration. There is ample parking space nearby, and the area feels very safe and accessible. It’s not only a place of worship but also a cultural gem worth exploring. Whether you're religious or not, this site offers an unforgettable experience in the heart of Podgorica. Highly recommended for photographers, history lovers, and travelers alike.

For a cathedral modest in size, but magnificent on the inside and unique on the exterior. The reliefs on the outer walls are great.

This was a spectacular Church in Podgorica. The design reminds you of much older classical designs that are rarely seen constructed with this eye for history. The murals throughout the church have been painted by true artist and are an endless joy to find the stories of the bible adorned across the walls and ceilings of this beautiful Church! Consecration occurred on October 7, 2013, on the occasion of the 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan on freedom of religion, and it was attended by the heads of the Eastern Orthodox Churches, Serbian Patriarch Irinej, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, Jerusalem Patriarch Theophilus III and Russian Patriarch Cyril, together with Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral Amfilohije and other Metropolitanate clerics. Not to be missed!!!

This is a such a peaceful, sereen church in a nice neighborhood. The parking next to it is cheap (we payed 50 cent for 45 min) we were with a large mobilehome. There a cafe with a small children playground next to it, maybe not bad if they would clean it a bit and repair the broken items.
Parisa D — Google review
This is an impressive and beautiful landmark in Podgorica. The architecture is stunning, both inside and out, with intricate details and vibrant frescoes that capture your attention. The sheer size of the building and the peaceful atmosphere inside make it a wonderful place to visit, whether for worship or to appreciate the art and history. The only downside was that it can get a bit crowded with tourists at times, but overall, it’s a must-see when in Podgorica.

A Must-Visit in Podgorica! This stunning church is one of Podgorica’s top highlights. Its magnificent architecture stands out, both inside and out, with breathtaking frescoes that leave a lasting impression. Located in a peaceful area, it offers a sense of serenity and spirituality. The church is beautifully lit at night, adding to its charm. Best of all, entry is free, and there’s a souvenir shop nearby. We found this steakhouse so absurdly good that we had lunch there… and then came back again for dinner the very same day (we only had one day in Montenegro and couldn’t resist!). The food was just incredible, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. A big shoutout to Adir, whose service was extraordinary. From the very first moment he was attentive, friendly, and even remembered our drinks from lunch when we came back for dinner—that level of detail blew us away. Honestly, one of the best meals we had on our whole trip. 100% recommended!
Gabriela P — Google review
I have many allergies. The staff, particularly Andre and the kitchen, went above and beyond to make sure the meal was ok for me. It was very clear they care a lot about customer experience. Few other things - they let you choose your own steak knife, i loved that. - the food was cooked perfectly, i ordered a medium rare steak. It was closer to rare by US/my own standards, however it was a very thick cut of meat (4-5inches tall) so if you’re visiting make sure to order medium if you don’t like overly raw inside. I loved it, it was absolutely delicious so do not read this as a complaint. - I did come at 545pm, so it was not busy at all. Though I imagine they care just as much when it does get busier.

We enjoyed the experience ♥️👌 The kids had the kids menu with chicken fingers, my husband a beef salad and I had shrimps that turned out to be huge. The terrace is really cosy and the staff super friendly! The toilet is very nice and had amenities that made the whole expirience very luxury 👌☀️ We will come back to try the steak 👍🙌 We paid 93 euro for the dining experience (including 2 beers, 1 glass of local wine, water and 2 Oranginas☀️

A delightful place! The waiter spoke excellent English, was very gallant and polite, and also very attentive. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary treat while waiting for our steak. As for the dishes, it was a complete taste delight – the medium-rare ribeye steak melted in the mouth. We also ordered a Shopska salad, which perfectly complemented the flavor experience with its juiciness. I absolutely recommend visiting this restaurant.

Wow, got given the evil eye so hard by a church employee I turned around a left. Never seen anything like that in a church in my life. Not even close. Was on my way home from the park and I happened to see the church. Thought it looked worth visiting, certainly not with the staff there. I had just entered the courtyard, wasn't even 30 ft to the door when this lady was giving me a death stare like "what do you think your doing here". The gate was open of course. What a ugly blemish on an otherwise perfect day of interacting with the locals. Looked like a great church and I'm sure this one employee does not represent the attitude of the whole staff. That being said, the situation was so disgusting that I feel like bringing attention to it. I've been churchs, mosques, temples, all over the world and never seem anything even close to this.

Wine Bar Bucca is a top choice for wine enthusiasts, boasting an intriguing menu and an extensive Montenegro winecard. However, there are some drawbacks to be aware of, such as the possibility of being seated near the entrance where unpleasant smells and drafts can make for an uncomfortable dining experience. Additionally, it seems that the staff may have overlooked certain customers, resulting in longer wait times for menus. On a positive note, the wine selection is excellent and the waitstaff provide attentive service.
Good food and great guys. Wine list long, lots of Balkan wines, but in France and Italy, obviously no modern or trendy stuff at all - but what else could you expect, local distributors probably get none of new style Burg here. Cigars on the terrace is a perfect end of the night

Bucca is a wonderful restaurant with great service. The restaurant evolves around seasonal vegetables. In essence, their menu depends on the seasonal produce that their kitchen gets. Hence, the menu can vary from day to day. My friends and I enjoyed the cheese platter the majority of which were local from Montenegro. It was paired with a delicious glass of local white wine. We were also offered hot little breads that were delicious. I opted to go for a starter – pumpkin lasagna. It turned out to be quite big which I gladly shared with my friends. It was absolutely delicious but slightly oversalted. The main was Cabbage rolls with vegetables and rice in tomato sauce topped with crushed roasted hazelnuts and crumbled cheese. Although enjoyable I am still not convinced if the cabbage was the right choice for this type of dish. As I said, the portions are generous and I might have over-ordered as well. That’s why, I didn’t manage to try their deserts which I am sure would have been amazing too.

Ok take this place for what it is: a relatively poorly protected Roman ruin. If you keep that in mind you will have a lovely day imagining yourself as a Roman. There is the formal side and then across the street a real treat bc you can clamber past ruins to sit on the bank of the Moraca. Lovely when the weather is nice!

Nice historical area on the countryside, only 10 min from the city center if you take the local bus L20 (90 cent). It only takes 30-45 minutes, so you can use the same ticket to go back. Mostly grass and some stones. At the north side, there are some information signs, no sign on the south side where you also can walk closer to the river. Two barking dogs at the smaller buildings there :)

If you are interested in history you should come here. The place is in the very quiet area, but the road is fine. We walked here by feet. Entrance is free of charge. There is a gates, but they were opened. The place was totally empty and quite abandoned. The grass was too high and big part of ruins were deep in the grass. There are signs with information in Serbian and English. We liked this place, cause there we found a lot of interesting parts of buildings and colomns. But it would be super nice if municipality of Podgorica took some care of this place.

One of the worst stadiums I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere was so depressing. I asked the cashier to give me tickets under the roof, but she didn’t. The seats were dirty and wet, and no one cared. The crowd was completely uncultured and disrespectful — people were walking on the seats with dirty shoes and putting their feet on the backrests. It was impossible to sit normally. The toilets were filthy too, like stepping back into the 90s. On top of that, they took my umbrella at the entrance, threw it into a big pile with all the others, and after the match everyone just trampled over them. My umbrella ended up crushed and broken. People were really behaving like barbarians. Disrespectful to themselves and others. The only thing that saved the night was my beloved Croatia making a comeback and winning 3–2. P.S. They didn’t allow anyone with Croatian flags or jerseys anywhere except the away fans’ sector. They didn’t let anyone leave the stadium for more than 30 minutes after the match. Horrible. So disappointed ☹️

Nice reasonably sized stadium with glorious views from the west stand. Only issue was very dusty seats and lack of open club shop to buy merch.

Small stadium that is not really comfortable for crowded events - not enough seats and tickets. Seats were very dirty and some fans were also too impolite.

Welder Pub is a fantastic establishment with outstanding cuisine and exceptional service. Unfortunately, there were some items missing from the menu, resulting in a slightly lower rating. Nevertheless, the food provided was extraordinary. The ambience of the pub is inviting and adorned with delightful decorations. It is truly one of Podgorica's premier destinations for food, drinks, and celebrations. The atmosphere exudes an urban and energetic vibe that will leave you eagerly anticipating your next visit.
Stepping into Welder Pub in the heart of Podgorica... The unique loft-style design and cozy backyard create an atmosphere that is both intimate and inviting. The ambiance is warm, the drinks are cold, and every corner of this place whispers stories of good times and great company. Welder Pub is not just a bar; it’s an experience, a haven where every visit feels like coming home.

Welder Pub is my favorite place in Montenegro! The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly polite and attentive. The variety on the menu is impressive. Whether you're looking for great meals or a cozy spot to relax, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended! Omer was marvellous!

Enjoyed my first visit there Service was good so I decided to go back on a Friday night And wow boy had I wish I didn’t go! Sat there for almost 20 mins and no one would even come close to me when that huge wasn’t even busy on a Friday night! Lots of staff but they treated me as if I was invisible or there was an invisible line to cross.

Nice environment and comfortable. I was very surprised by the steak salad I ordered. It mentioned in the menu which is 350 gr, but surprisingly was around 60gr and when I ask the waiter, he told 350gr is the weight of lettuce salad with meat, which was in opposite of anywhere else . Chicken Italia was delicious.

Nice place , great crowd and great band. The service was bad . One waiter for the whole room , he did his best but too many people for one person. The food was cold and Bland. I don’t recommend eating here or ordering drinks however if you want a fun crowd it’s good. Will not be going back.

Excellent food and excellent service. Unfortunately they didn't have some of the things I requested in the menu, which was the only reason for the 4 out of 5 stars. Overall, the food I did get was exceptional. The atmosphere was also very welcoming. Wonderful decor. I will be back.

Absolutely the best bar in Podgorica. Very stylish and effective design that has the balance of form and function. A lot of space inside and awesome outdoor terrace. A large selection of dishes at affordable prices. The service is great, the waiters are fluent in English ,that is a rarity for Montenegro.

Itaka Library Bar is a hidden gem in Podgorica, tucked away under a bridge with unique surroundings. The bar is part of an old Turkish bath and sits next to a river, providing a quirky and peaceful atmosphere away from the traffic. The staff are friendly and helpful, offering a great selection of drinks from coffee to cocktails. Inside, the decor is charming while outside features cool graffiti. However, be prepared for mosquitoes if sitting outdoors.
An amazing cafe and bar in the heart of Podgorica, the location is perfect, under a bridge which has a beautiful view over the river and nature. The place is small and cozy, it has several floors. The service was quick and excellent, and the hot chocolate was really good. It was the perfect place to have a break from exploring the city. I highly recommend it.

Lovely little bar underneath the bridge. The inside is quite tiny, but the outside has all sorts of options for seating. The service was prefect and the cocktails are delightful.

I love this place, such a great atmosphere. There is so much seating in different areas, really relaxing. Located under a traffic bridge and right near the river in the city. Drinks are always great and service is friendly and quick. Prices are very good too. This is actually my favorite place in the city to hang out.

The drinks are really delicious. They have unique signature cocktails and the presentation for drinks is great. Prices are about €7 per cocktail. Overall it’s a great vibe even during the day. They also have hot drinks and non alcoholic cocktails available.

Itaka is such a cool little spot! I love the outdoor seating and the quirky, artsy vibe — everyone there seemed so relaxed, and lots of people came with their dogs. It’s tucked under a bridge by the river, with a lovely boardwalk and plenty of trees that make it feel nice and cool, even in summer. Their lemonades are great, with different flavours to choose from — just perfect for a lazy afternoon by the water.

One of my favourite places in Podgorica. Lovely staff who are helpful and friendly. Great selection of drinks from coffee to alcohol. Inside is quirky and the outside is unique under a flyover, part of an old Turkish bath (and therefore silent from the traffic ) next to a river (it sometimes floods!) and with a book shop integrated. Defo worth a visit if you want some chill time - a highlight.

Culture Club Tarantino is a charming and cozy spot with a huge interior, including a lovely backyard garden adorned with tasteful decor and surprising accents like hanging grapes. The ambiance is enhanced by the presence of plants and a culture corner filled with books, old-fashioned telephones, and a typewriter. Guests can enjoy sipping drinks to the sounds of good salsa music while waiting for their orders. The staff is described as caring and patient, contributing to the overall pleasant experience.
The outside was packed and buzzing — you could barely hear yourself, but the energy was electric. Despite the crowd, our waiter was super attentive and the drinks were absolutely amazing. No complaints at all — a perfect night out!✨

some vegan options - good! waiter was really trying their best so I appreciate it. however, the place was almost empty yet it took over 30 minutes to get my order which was two warm appetisers The food was not great either - vegetarian rolls where too oily and didn’t hold snape at all. the menu said there is soy sauce but the sauce was sweet chilli and certainly was store-bought. fresh veggies were a bit stale. falafel was pretty good, but garlic sauce would do with more garlic… They have soy milk which is great and ice coffee they have was pretty good

What a super place! Great pleasant caring service, huge interior including backyard garden decorated with a great taste and a few surprising accents. Full of plants, grapes hanging from the ceiling. A culture corner with plenty of books and a couple of old fashioned telephones or a typewriter - it allowed to kill some time while waiting for an order with my kid. We enjoyed our time while sipping drinks to a good salsa music and waiting for a dish. It was worth to wait (close to 1 hour - but we were the first guests after siesta) And the food was fantastic. Absolutely splendid. We had a vegie platter for two plus chicken tortillas and everything was far better than expected. An ordinary dish taken to a next level. Superb balance of tastes, everything matched, was rich, bit not an overkill. I never had a better bruschetta, or a chicken tortilla. Highly recommend, far the best in Podgorica but we dined at 4-5 places only.
Tomasz B — Google review
Started out good, lovely guy at door invited us in. Quick look around, really unique decor and cute cat roaming about ordered wine, 3 different glasses and mine was horrible. When I mentioned it wasn't nice the guy just took it away. I presumed as he took it, I wouldn't be charged (I was haha). Dinners arrived 2 were nice and one the potatoe was freezing cold. The server came and asked was the food OK and when he was told the potatoe was freezing he didn't have any suggestions (don't ask if everything's OK if you can't do anything) I asked had they at least a microwave, he did, he brought back the chicken and reheated potoatoe on a different plate. It was still cold. It was so disappointing as we had eaten just down the road at a different restaurant 3 times so tried something new this particular night. It was a super akward atmosphere and we didn't even bother ordering desserts, I wouldn't recommend this place for food, not just because of the food but how the situation was handled. The other 2 meals, a liver dish and a risotto dish were fine.
Cary H — Google review
A place for every recommendation, a cozy atmosphere, a clean 10-person staff, a friendly and smiling girl, the music is also cool. The only downside is that tables are reserved on Fridays and Saturdays, not everyone, but most know that there will be, but if you are more than two, then they remove the reservation :)))

Nice place, toilet with pin code that you need to ask people from shops, I don't know why. Restaurants are good enough. It is not huge shopping mall like in big European cities but nice to see.
Marcin K — Google review
Mall of Montenegro is a solid mid-level shopping center — perhaps ideal for locals or visitors who want a convenient, all-in-one place for groceries, everyday shopping, some dining, and family outings. It doesn’t compete with mega malls in large European capitals, but for Podgorica, it has value.
Amrit D — Google review
As a shopping mall, there is not much to get luxury shopping experience from this place. But there are budget stores for shopping inside a tightly packed corner of the mall. The restaurants on the ground floor are good though.

Shops selling low quality clothes and other products. An indoor market with further low quality clothing upstairs and a food market downstairs. It was a chance to escape the intense June heat for a while. A reasonable supermarket is also housed within. I didn't see a ramp at the entrance we used just stairs. Perhaps there is another entrance that is wheelchair accessible. But you sort of want the main entrance to be so, don't you?!

The Church of the Holy Heart of Jesus in Podgorica showcases communist-style architecture, also known as brutalist architecture, which predominates due to WWII bombings. This architectural style emphasizes minimalism by utilizing bare materials and angular geometric shapes for a simplistic and structural look. The church exudes a grotesque ambiance akin to an industrial setting, resembling an industrial church.
Really special church in brutalist style, nice play with warm light and cold concrete contrast. The front door was closed when we arrived, we rang the doorbell on the other side, they let us in and kindly gave us information about the church.
Azur — Google review
Truly remarkable church! The very strong concrete construction creates different emotions when visiting...it is very unique and is not to be missed. Only wish we could have stayed and celebrated mass in this church once.

Definitely worth going! The whole place has a grotesque feeling, you could call it an industrial church! The people running the place are really nice and the children that are at the area are very nice, talkative, playful and seem to have a good time living here too! Must visit in beautiful Podgorica!

Hidden brutalist church in the city. Worth a visit!
Xavi G — Google review
The church is worth a visit if you are a fan of Brutalist architecture. It may or may not be open to look inside and it is a 20 - 25 minute walk (each way) along a busy, noisy, non-scenic road, from the Karver Bookstore. I think it was worth the walk but be aware. You should be able to get into the yard and walk around. I was not able to get inside. But maybe I just needed to try more doors. Part of it was a school and I didn’t want to bother the teachers.

The Clock Tower, a 14th-century iconic landmark in Sighisoara, served as the main gate to the city's citadel and controlled the entrance to the half-mile-long defensive wall. It stored the town's treasures and is part of a collection of towers that fence the citadel. The tower stands near other notable structures like The House of Vlad Dracula and The Venetian House.
The Clock Tower is a very impressive structure of Sighișoara. Highly worth get there (it’s not that hard) and take a nice and easy tour. You can also climb to the Tower (we didn’t). While we were visiting, they had already prepare for Halloween, and it was so beautiful.
Nissim C — Google review
There's a small museum scattered through each level of the tower as you make your way to top the panoramic viewing platform. The platform gives you an unimpeded 360° view of the city. There's not a lot other than that. As well as the fact that nothing is translated through the museum, making it much harder to take an interest in the few items available for viewing. Despite what the signs say, the cost is 20lei to enter. I was in and out in less than 30 min.
Kyra — Google review
Student tickets for 5 lei is incredibly cheap, and the view was beautiful! Really neat seeing the clock mechanism and some historical artifacts on the way up. It got a bit tight in some places going up as people were also descending the same stairs, just watch your step.

The Clock Tower is one of the only fully-visitable towers of the citadel. It's staircase and floors have been transformed into a small museum that houses exhibits from the medieval history of Sighișoara. The clock itself is still functioning and the bell sounds every 15 minutes.

Nice place to spend few hours with your kids. You can feed animals, don't forget to bring a couple of apples :) The only bad thing to mention is the cleanliness of the cages :( Definitely more attention should be applied to that.

Small zoo (eagle, horse, ducs, birds family). Great for kids.

Great place to spend time with kids. There are lots of domestic animals. You can buy food for these animals. Ride a pony - 1 euro per circle. Trampoline is 1 euro per 15 min.

(Translated by Google) Kuslevova Kuća – in this house at the beginning of the 20th century. The first professional dentist of Montenegro, Risto KUSLEV (Macedonian, born in Greece in 1887), lived and worked. At the invitation of King Nikola Petrovic, Risto came to Montenegro in 1913 to work for the royal family. In 1916, the doctor bought a house in Podgorica and started a private dental practice here, also teaching future dentists. This earned him the respect and love of the townspeople. The mansion survived the bombings of World War II. Today, the Kuslev House is one of the centers of cultural life in Podgorica, where exhibitions and concerts are held. On October 10, 2024, my family and I visited this cozy mansion at the opening of the exhibition of Montenegrin graphic artist Maria Kapisoda “Echoes of the Earth – psychological landscapes” 🍃 Marija Kapisoda “Eho zemlje – psihološki pejzaži” The works were performed using lithography technique. The landscape images of the paintings reflect something unsaid, elusive - something that is hidden in the subconscious... I wanted to stop at each work and take a closer look - each one “resonated” in its own way. In the exhibition space, some of the lithographs are collected in duets and trios, where similar compositions reflect different facets of the image. The exhibition left a mark on my memory!

(Translated by Google) The exhibition was interesting, but I don't understand why there is no information anywhere about the history of the house and about the man who was its owner. (Original) Izložba je bila zanimljiva, ali ne razumijem zašto nigdje ne postoji nikakva informacija o istoriji kuće i o čovjeku koji je bio njen vlasnik.
