Ristorante C'Era Una Volta, which translates to "once upon a time," is a charming family-run hilltop restaurant in Positano offering stunning views of the Gulf from its terrace. The menu features delicious seafood dishes, gnocchi, and wood-fired pizzas. Many ingredients are seasonal, ensuring fresh and flavorful meals. Visitors praise the dining experience and reasonable prices compared to other tourist spots in Positano.
Highly recommended. Excellent food quality and service. Pizzas, pasta, and seafood were amazing. We went twice to this place. Very reasonable prices for Positano compared to restaurants close to the port area.

We enjoyed our final night in Positano at Ristorante C'Era Una Volta, conveniently located just a quick two-minute walk from our Airbnb. It was the perfect choice to cap off our stay. The restaurant offered lovely views, great pasta dishes, and a charmingly quaint, traditional atmosphere that felt authentically Italian. The service was bustling due to the busy evening, but the staff did a commendable job keeping up with all the occupied tables, staying attentive and friendly despite the rush. Overall, we had a delightful dinner experience here and would happily recommend this cozy restaurant to anyone looking for tasty food, good views, and a warm, traditional vibe in Positano. Thanks for a wonderful last evening!

Don’t miss this place! Our Airbnb was close by and we came here 3 different times. We couldn’t believe it wasn’t more crowded because the food was so much better than other places we visited in Positano (and more affordable). The Capricciosa pizza was so good we got it twice. The tiramisu with espresso was so light and tasty. The beautiful view was the icing on the cake. We hope to come back someday ❤️

Lovely restaurant above Positano. We arrived at around 8 on a Sunday evening, late in the season but we're made very welcome, and we're well looked after throughout the evening. We were both quite tired and fancied something straightforward so I opted for the steak and chips, while my wife had pizza. Both were absolutely spot on and the steak was cooked beautifully. Maybe it was the half carafe of wine but it was one of the best evenings out in Positano that week. Also... Given that the restaurant is up in Chiesa Nuova, the prices are very reasonable by comparison to down at the big beach. Definitely worth the walk up a couple of steps.

Our accommodation in Positano was very close to this restaurant that is how we stumbled across it - thank god! It was such a blessing, we dined here 3 times in 3 days and every meal was delicious! And the service was lovely ☺️ My partner was so happy with the food and vibe he insisted on coming here every day, I was super happy as they were kind enough to accommodate a fussy vegan I even bought my own cheese and borrowed a grater 🙏 I had homemade pasta with tomato sauce and mushrooms it was nice to have the option of soft homemade pasta that wasn’t made with animal products I highly recommend this restaurant Thank you so much to the wait staff and the kitchen staff we really appreciate your service 😋 yum!

Perfetto 👌 Friendly, great food, highly recommend the sea bass. Wow. Ended with a Tiramisu. Lovely authentic Italian restaurent. I wish I could come back again 🙏 Grazie mille.
Emma B — Google review
Such a great value for the quality of food. Just as good as any meal you can have in lower Positano at half the prices. Maybe even better. See that steak? 20 euro. See that pizza? 3 euro. Both 10/10. Service is amazing and they make you feel at home.

This is one of the best restaurants we’ve eaten at on our Amalfi Coast trip. Family run, home cooked and you don’t walk out with bill shock ! My partner is strict vegan and they were beautifully accommodating and have pastas made without egg and they just basically cooked to order for her ! If you’re vegan or have a vegan partner you know how hard this can be. We ate here three times in three days and would have been more but they were closed for one of the days 🙂 Loved it 😀

Casa e Bottega in Positano offers a refreshing alternative to traditional Italian cuisine. Chef Tanina Vanacore's restaurant serves up fresh, healthy meals like chickpea burgers, zoodles, and poached eggs made with gluten-free ingredients. The menu also features sandwiches, salads, smoothies, cakes, and natural gelato. In addition to its dining area, the establishment operates as a homewares shop selling handmade ceramics and crafts.
A beautiful cafe serving Italian and brunch menus with a great coffee and drinks selection. The presentation of our dishes was immaculate and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The star hosts were the two dogs who welcome you and wander around without bothering you but you cannot help but bother them as they roam freely within the cafe. I loved everything about this cafe and would return the next time I visit Positano.

This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Positano! I would eat here everyday, especially with the friendly dogs roaming around. The salmon with avocado is so fresh and tasty, the seared tuna on brioche is decadent, the tortellini melts in your mouth. Every bite was perfect! If you're in Positano, you must try this restaurant.
Samantha C — Google review
This place had incredible views! The restaurant itself is very trendy. The food looked incredible and tasted ALMOST as good as it looked! My only issue was with the price that they were charging for their food! €20 per dish seemed a touch steep for what it was. However I still would recommend checking this place out for breakfast or lunch!
Steve P — Google review
This was hands down my favourite place we went in all of Italy. The atmosphere was out of this world. It was still high enough up the hillside that there was a beautiful view out their front door. It was bright with lots of greenery inside. We went for breakfast and had some cappuccinos and croissants. They were delicious. I wish we went for lunch because their other food items coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. Their menu was reasonably priced. It's all fresh and made in house. The staff were very friendly.

Loved this restaurant! Cozy yet bright and airy. Beautiful greenery everywhere and light and inventive food. Exactly what we needed after a week of pasta and pizza. Service was excellent and the staff so charming.

After five days of relentless exploration through Positano's winding streets and sun-drenched terraces, Casa e Bottega emerged as exactly the mid-morning refuge our weary feet and hungry souls needed. This isn't just another tourist-trap café capitalizing on its location – it's a thoughtfully curated experience that understands what travelers truly crave. Our party each ventured in different culinary directions, and every choice proved inspired. The avocado toast with eggs elevated this ubiquitous brunch staple into something memorable – perfectly ripe avocado crowned with eggs cooked just right, each element singing in harmony. The omelet arrived fluffy and generous, a testament to kitchen fundamentals executed with care. But the revelation was the crispy filo pastry with feta, honey, pears, and walnuts. This dish alone is worth seeking out Casa e Bottega. The contrast of textures – shattering phyllo giving way to creamy feta, the sweetness of honey playing against the earthiness of walnuts, with pears providing a fresh counterpoint – created a symphony of Mediterranean flavors that lingered long after the last bite. What sets Casa e Bottega apart is the evident thought behind every detail. The food isn't just prepared; it's composed with intention. The space itself feels orchestrated for visual pleasure without trying too hard – a natural extension of Positano's effortless beauty rather than a forced Instagram backdrop. The hospitality deserves special mention. In a town where tourist fatigue can sometimes show through forced smiles, the team here offers genuine warmth without holding back. They seem to understand that sometimes the greatest luxury isn't white tablecloths and stiff service, but rather feeling welcomed into a space where you can pause, breathe, and savor both the moment and the meal. Casa e Bottega is that rare find – a place that manages to be both a respite from your travels and a highlight of them. Bravo indeed.
Garrison H — Google review
I can't say enough about this place! The food was absolutely fantastic. The people were lovely. And the ceramics and kitchen linens were beautiful and high quality. Highly recommend that you visit while in Positano.

Diverse Italian menu with pristine presentation, poise, and most of all, flavor. Every dish we had was to perfection and the presentation aesthetically pleasing. Extremely helpful and kind staff ranging all the way from the baker, to the waitress, to the manager. Two very friendly (and well trained) dogs greet the customers to much satisfaction. Entire establishment was well kept, clean, and very pleasing to the eye. Wonderful, fairly priced, Italians cuisine that will not disappoint!

Nestled in the heart of Positano, the Italian Fine Art Gallery is a captivating portal into the world of creativity and artistic expression. This gallery showcases an impressive array of works, including stunning Rabarama statues and exquisite pieces crafted from materials like fiberglass, ink, paper, ash, Murano glass, and mother-of-pearl by talented Venetian artist Annalu Boeretto. Visitors are often enchanted by the emotional interplay between various art forms that come together harmoniously within its walls.
Loved the art here. Definitely stop by if you're in Positano!

my partner & i visited while in Positano for the day, and it was easily the best part of that day for both of us. the staff member was friendly & extremely knowledgeable, and we loved being told about the different artists and the displayed paintings and sculptures. 10/10 experience, if you are going to Positano you must go here. our only disappointment is we didn't manage to visit a 2nd time before we left. they also have an Instagram account: italianfineartgallery_positano

Disco club
Music On the Rocks is a renowned nightclub in Europe, nestled into a cliff overlooking the sea. With two floors designed for socializing or dancing to DJ sets, it perfectly complements its natural surroundings. Frequented by international VIPs, this beach-front club offers an unforgettable experience. Since 1972, it has been hosting top DJs and drawing dolled-up crowds. While prices may be high, the unique cave setting and stunning sea views make it a must-visit spot.
What a unique experience! Rave in a cave! Great sound and DJ’s. A bit of a younger crowd but good to experience!
Stephani B — Google review
I read the reviews before going here but my wife and I decided to check it out anyway. First, I will say the inside it cool looking but it’s not worth the weak drinks. I spent $50 on two margaritas and I never felt move sober in my life. Secondly, when they say this place discriminates, it’s true. We witnessed it first hand when we were leaving. The bouncer told this couple that they were closed but that’s not true at all since we just left. I forgot to mention that they tried to turn us away but the manager let us in only because we were at the Fly Bar earlier. Don’t listen to the owner replies that you need a card to enter because they didn’t even ask us if we had one. All in all, I would never go back to this place again, and I don’t mind spending money on drinks but I can’t support a place that treats people like that and makes weak drinks that’s a baby could handle.
Robert H — Google review
The atmosphere was cool but the owner was very rude and couldn’t stop commenting on my sisters weight. The geography of the cave itself acted as a natural coolant. We were charged 35 euro a piece for drinks, you can tell this place has been struggling financially. Overall I had a good time.
Gabe P — Google review
Honestly had a great time. I did see after 12 they wouldn’t let many people in and there seemed to quite a few VIPs there so I think we just got in at the right time. They also seemed to be stopping big groups of guys without any girls with them. We had a great time give it a go.
Jireh M — Google review
Amazing architecture, climate! The crew was very professional, I felt safe with bodyguard who was watching everyone and helping us with solving problems. Only the music was not that good. Good old songs, especially bits were killed by some weird sound drumbs. It was hard to dance or even feel rhythm
Katarzyna P — Google review
They state that they are open “until the end of October”, but we walked down there only to find out they were closed. A simple post on Instagram or their website would have saved me (and likely others) the trip. While I enjoy a walk down the steps to the beach, I’ve done it enough and it’s not something I would choose to do at midnight for no reason.
Hemgot — Google review
Had the time of our lives at this bar in July. Just now giving review because I was reminiscing and looked at the website and was shocked by the overall low rating. Music was awesome. Drinks were good. The ambiance was so cool. People complaining about the prices - it’s a nightclub in one of the most amazing places on earth. We loved it and would definitely go back when we are back in that part of the world. We also dined upstairs prior and that was excellent as well.

Amazing ,,superb!! If you like clubbing this is a must to do in positano. Entry was 25 euros per person. One drink is provided with the entry ticket. Music and crowd is just awesome . Starts aroung 10:30pm.

Store
Sapori E Profumi Di Positano is a lemon lover's paradise, with an extensive range of lemon-themed products from tablecloths to body care items. The store is known for its delightful lemon scent and welcoming staff who go the extra mile for customers. Visitors can expect personalized service, unique handcrafted items, and even a taste of limoncello candies.
We went in here attracted by the lemon things inside and the scent. They have so many things, from candy, candle, bags, or soap to cologne or limoncello. They are most likely overpriced being in Positano, and you can probably found all the stuff in other towns or cities at a cheaper price. Leaving that aside, the environment was very nice and all the staff we run into was very attentive, they even offered us free lemon candy to try and smell the cologne with some testers. We did not find any rude behavior from any clerck as mentioned in other reviews and we loved how they treated us and the charming vibes of the store. Definitively worth a stop.
Trachemysta — Google review
A group of us entered the stores and saw adorable and very in expensive pouches that said Ciao Bella. A lady worker was extremely rude to us as we looked and then proceeded to talk about us to a co-worker behind the counter. I was going to make a purchase but I refuse to support any business that treats anyone this way and will spend my money with those who treat people more kindly.
Christiane S — Google review
We happened to stumble upon this shop by accident way back in 2010 while on a cruise along the Mediterranean. The quaint shop sells all kinds of goods, from plates to postcards, but the ultimate two things we purchased were their mouth-watering lemon drops and limoncello liquor. The lemon drops are packaged so nicely you don't want to open it. The limoncello we picked out came in a beautiful glass bottle which we gifted to a special aunt back home.
Maui T — Google review
Don’t go this shop. The old lady was racist and rude. I liked a necklace which seemed liked pearls and asked the helper if there are pearls and can I get any certificate. She said she has no idea but the pearls are from northern Italy. I told that I would like to buy if I see any certification certifying the purity of the jewellery since they told its sterling silver with gold plated. Then the helper asked the old lady who told that the pearls are imported from Thailand and she made them into jewellery. At this point I was sure I didn’t want to buy as when I asked for certificate she searched through her draw and showed me a card . The card didn’t have any item number or anything. So I said I wasn’t interested to buy. She was rude and starting cussing ( mind you in English ) so we can understand. She was passing racist slurs. Didn’t experience this behaviour anywhere in either Amalfi or Positano. This women should learn some manners and hope that shop goes out of business soon . I was hurt by the racist slurs.
Varsha S — Google review
The owner of the store, an old lady is the rudest person I have seen in Italy. She shouldn’t be dealing with clients AT ALL. Stay away from this place.
Susana R — Google review
Store owner (old woman) screamed at me and my girlfriend for simply standing in the store… “Too many customers” - also swore at us. What disgraceful behaviour from a fully grown adult. Do not buy from this shop. The store owner might genuinely have some mental disorder, it was so unreasonable it was beyond belief.
Nathan — Google review
Beautiful shop with unique gifts. I went in with my family and my children were greeted with candy and smiles. A shop to revisit if I’m ever there again.
Angela H — Google review
Don't listen to the negative reviews for this store! The store is beautiful and smells completely of lemons, but best of all were the staff! Angela and Claudia are two incredible individuals who went above and beyond to find the perfect Positano handbag for my wife, as well as holding items for another day while our payments were having troubles. They were lovely to talk to and even threw in some limoncello candies for us! So glad I was drawn into this store by the lemon candle outside! 🍋

Antica Sartoria by Giacomo Cinque - Moda Mare Positano offers elegant and youthful fashion for women, featuring beautiful and bright colors with a Mediterranean flair that captures the magic of Positano. The boutique provides affordable prices and friendly sales assistants who are attentive to customers' needs. Customers appreciate the excellent customer service experience, including easy exchanges managed entirely by the store.
A wonderful gauntlet of vendors for a reminder of your tour of the Pompei ruins. My wife found gifts for relatives and took my suggestion to barter with the merchants. They love to barter so don’t be shy if you want to save money! Some items are cultural from former times and may be adult in nature. But so much fun and smiles!

I‘m so disappointed and beyond furious. I ordered more than a month ago and unfortunately one of the products arrived with a deviating design pattern and with production flaws all over the garment - seams are coming off, some parts are damaged and/or are not neatly sewn together etc. Original tags of course are still on. I reported the issues right away several times and via WhatsApp and email. WhatsApp Customer Service kept telling me to send email (which I have done several times). But now the real issue comes: Customer service per mail just started replying about a week ago with the following: „Dear customer, we are sorry for what you indicate, but from the photos you have sent us the seam seems to have given way, perhaps the garment was tight. the complaint of a possible manufacturing defect must be made upon receipt of the goods, we are not responsible for any damage caused by use and possible bad washing. When a garment is defective it can be seen immediately, we are sorry but we cannot accept your complaint. Best regards“ All though I slightly felt fooled, I tried to explain it again and kindly asked to read the entire email chain, but same reply came back again. How insulting is this? To blame a customer for an obviously bad produced garment? Never happened to me before. See imagery for yourself.

Wonderful store with a great assortment of products — buy all of your trinkets here before heading on to the ferry! The family who runs this store are gracious and helpful people. One of our party left an item behind at the store and they went out of their way to hand deliver the item next day. Great people who deserve your business.

Dont buy anything here! They scam you!! I bought a dress that said €18,90 on the price tag, when I payed they said the final price in italian so I didnt understand and since I bought several things I didnt notice the price when I payed. But turns out I payed €34,90 for that dress!! When I asked for the money back they refused. This is very illegal in Europe DONT SUPPORT SCAMMERS! (In case we get the money back from them I will remove this review)
Caroline B — Google review
Customer service is not good. Bought a nice handmade dress for my wife for €69.00. Her first time putting it on for an occasion the stitch on the shoulder strap ripped while tying the dress up. It was a single stitch holding it together and apparently not done well. After emailing customer service and waiting for a response, we were told to contact the original store here at the Positano location. They said the only thing we could do was exchange the dress and would not agree to even partially refund so we could get the dress repaired in our home country. They refused to exchange the dress by mail, and refused any compromise other than us flying back to Italy and taking a ferry back to Positano (which would obviously be a huge cost in travel expenses to exchange and €69.00 dress). Buyer beware!!!!

Stay well away from this store! We asked if a bikini was available in size small for our teenage daughter. The shop manager took the Xtra Large which was on display into the back of the store and returned with the same bikini but this time it turned out she had quickly stuck an 'S ' label over the XL.......We have kept photos. This was done quickly and slyly. We think it is very important that you address this malpractice as it will destroy your brand. We contacted your sales team but never got a reply so we just have to warn future customers about this despicable practice! Why ruin peoples day like that, I can't understand it!

Beautiful dresses! I’ve always wanted to buy a lemon printed dress and they have a variety. I found a perfect one that looked different from what many people wear on the coast. During the summer season, linen dresses are a must! The sales people were nice and friendly. I’ll come back and get another dress next time I’m here. Way better alternative for a shop that’s popular on the main road. More affordable and they seem to have a variety of prints.

Restaurant
Chez Black is a historic restaurant that has been serving delicious seafood since 1949. Located on the Spiaggia Grande promenade, this maritime-themed trattoria offers a unique dining experience with its boat-like decor and beachfront terrace. The menu features delectable dishes such as sea urchin pasta, mussels, grilled fish, and the infamous heart-shaped pizza. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a popular spot for locals, tourists, and even celebrities.
We ate here for dinner twice and lunch once. Twice we called the day before and got a booking easily. 3rd time we actually just walked up and they found us a table. My daughter and I love this place. The 2 managers at the front escorting you to your table are always welcoming. The food was excellent each time and the staff, well we met a few of them and they were ALWAYS professional, happy, attentive, fast and made our dinning experience very pleasurable. I recommend this restaurant for you to dine in and we are sad to move on to another city so all the best you guys at Chez Black. ❤️🙏

What a truly memorable evening we had at Chez Black in Positano! Still run by the Russo family, this iconic seafront restaurant has been delighting guests since it opened back in 1949, originally founded by “Captain” Salvatore Russo - nicknamed “Black” by visiting tourists. Remarkably, the owner himself is still there - greeting guests with the same warmth and charm as ever - and his son is now carrying on the legacy. It’s one of those rare places where you truly feel part of a family tradition. The food was nothing short of sublime - every dish we had was full of flavour and beautifully executed. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout, ensuring we felt completely taken care of. If you’re seeking a restaurant that blends seaside elegance, heartfelt hospitality, and generations of culinary passion, Chez Black is an absolute must.

Location was great, near the ferry stop and beach, had a good atmosphere. The food arrives at all different times, the fries and plate of fruit salad arrives 10-15min after everything else. Asked for tomato sauce for the chips which never arrived. Given the prices, would have expected a little more attention. The pizza had flavour and was €22 and a plate of fruit was €20 with 5 strawberries, pineapple and honeydew. I suspect they are targeting tourists.

We visited in July during our Honeymoon. This was one of the most recommended restaurants in the area. Many famous people have been here and so of course we wanted to give it a try. The atmosphere and location are great. The ambiance is also great and the food was good. The 2x we went, it was for lunch. The 2nd time we visited, they seated us and then rushed us to give our order because the kitchen was closing. When we were being seated or when the server 1st came to us they could have told us. They also could have told us no and we would have understood but it wasn't nice being rushed. The food was good, portion sizes were nice. and just a heads up the tomato salad isn't a salad. its just a plate of tomatoes :)

Not sure why the reviews aren’t higher…. This place is fantastic. I usually try to avoid restaurants in very touristy areas, but very glad I came here. The food is absolutely fantastic and authentic. The service is super fast and very very welcoming-our waiter Pasquale was amazing! The restaurant is bustling so the atmosphere is great and right in the beach in the main area. It is a little pricey but it’s on the beach in Positano so that’s to be expected. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Amazing food, the staff are very friendly & the service is top notch. Has a big variety of different dishes, done well. The wine list is also reasonably priced compare to other restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.

Chez Black is a Positano classic – right on the beach, buzzing with energy, and the kind of place where you immediately feel part of the Amalfi vibe. The location can’t be beat, with tables spilling out toward the sand and views of the colorful cliffside. It’s busy (and a bit touristy), but that’s part of the charm – it’s fun to watch the crowd and soak in the atmosphere. The seafood is fresh and beautifully presented, and the wood-fired pizza lives up to the hype – thin, crispy, and full of flavor. Service is fast and friendly despite the constant flow of guests, and the décor, with its nautical touches, adds to the seaside experience. It’s not the quietest or most intimate spot, but if you’re looking for a lively meal in the heart of Positano, Chez Black delivers. A must-stop for the iconic experience and people-watching.

This is an iconic restaurant in Positano. It is very difficult to book a table in a good place…. We were lucky, but within 10 minutes there was no table available. The service was fast, the seafood risotto was really one of the best I have ever eaten. The nerano spaghetti is definitely recommended to try.🫶

Seafood restaurant
Da Vincenzo Positano 1958 offers an upscale Italian dining experience with a cozy atmosphere and a choice of indoor or terrace seating. The restaurant is known for its delicious seafood and pasta dishes, as well as its fast, friendly, and efficient service. While it may not offer scenic views of the town, it provides a great option for those seeking a satisfying meal in Positano.
First, let me say that the hostess was so kind to us. We walked in without a reservation, 30 minutes before they closed, but she still arranged a table for us, which we greatly appreciated. The food and presentation of the food was simply amazing. Every bite of every dish was exceptional. Also, the dessert was so good, light, but rich at the same time.

Great restaurant, good ambience. Street side dining with a wine cave room dining. Either is great. The food is good and consistent. We went in 2019 and again in 2025. Still amazing food. Reasonable local wine list. Staff is friendly. Recommend to book in advance but if you don't mind waiting they are happy to accommodate walk-in as well.

We showed up without a reservation and waited about 30 minutes on a Saturday, so grateful to have been seated, as there was a long line — absolutely worth it! The hostess, Ana, was so gracious and kind, and our server, Rafaele, was incredible — warm, attentive, and full of great wine recommendations. Marta also helped during our meal and was just lovely. Every dish was perfection — the zucchini flowers and pumpkin soup were outstanding, and the rigatoni with braised beef was easily the best pasta we’ve had so far in Italy. Beautiful views, an inviting atmosphere, and truly exceptional service. Hands down our best meal and best service in Positano — Da Vincenzo absolutely lives up to its reputation.

I’m a bit of a food snob, and this was hands down the best meal of our 11-day trip through southern Italy. We were constantly searching for great food, and this place absolutely delivered. We had the pumpkin soup, Genovese pasta, and sirloin steak. Every dish was perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. The tomatoes tasted like they’d just been picked from the garden. Service was kind, attentive, and well timed. The beautiful view and lovely girlfriend made it unforgettable. Not cheap, but neither is the quality of the food, atmosphere, or location. Excellent value and truly a highlight of our trip!

We actually had a wonderful time here. From the service to the food, it was great. You can skip the mini calzone things, they were fine but nothing special. The zucchini pasta was one of the best dishes I had this whole trip. The profiteroles were delicious. Service was great!

Popular place in Positano and with reason. Every dish was delicious. The mussels were some of the freshest mussels I’ve ever had. This place and a handful of restaurant in the area are the only few good places that aren’t tourist traps (as told by a local chef). Need to make a reservation online!
Justin L — Google review
Easily our meal in the whole of the Amalfi Coast, only wish we had come here sooner as would have come every day if we could. Had some of the dishes that have been on the menu for 30 years and easy to see why they have been on here for so long. Our waiter was excellent, with great recommendations, wine matching etc. we also had entrees and desserts (paired with dessert wine recommendation) that were stunning. Definitely pays to book, there is always a long queue here otherwise. Best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to.

The Best Food and the Worst Service In southern Italy, I had an excellent plate of Vongole and Anchovy Pasta. Hard to believe such a fantastic dish could be ruined by the service. The chef’s food was outstanding, but the waitress completely destroyed the experience with her rude and discriminatory behavior. September 2, 2025 – female server working the floor. She urgently needs proper retraining, as her attitude is unacceptable in hospitality. Food: ★★★★★ Service: ☆☆☆☆☆

Ristorante Bruno is a charming family-run restaurant located in Positano, offering a delightful dining experience with its extensive menu featuring delicious seafood and pasta classics. The restaurant boasts indoor and outdoor sidewalk dining areas, providing breathtaking views of Positano and the Mediterranean. Situated along one of the main roads, Ristorante Bruno offers outside terraces where patrons can enjoy the scenic views while savoring authentic cuisine at moderate prices.
We initially booked tables for late in the evening but decided to come by earlier and they could accomodate a table for 6. The food was delicious with good portions. The seafood was fresh and tasty. A good place to enjoy the sunset as well. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is on the further end of road, which is slightly steep for walking. Food was good & view was fabulous! Would recommend you to head to have your meal first if you don't have much luxury of time, before browsing the shops. We had seafood, was delicious especially the lobster, was so fresh, but the mussels, clams dish could be a slightly bigger portion.
Nora C — Google review
We had the pleasure of sitting outside, where the views were nothing short of spectacular — the terraced cliffs, colorful buildings, and sparkling sea created the perfect backdrop for an authentic Italian dinner. Before dinner, we enjoyed some classic aperitivi which paired perfectly with the sunset and the warm coastal breeze. The food was fresh and flavorful. We especially recommend trying the different pastas, which were cooked to perfection and full of regional flavor. Make reservations ahead of time.
Marie P — Google review
The food is very ordinary and absolutely does not live up to the name ‘restaurant’, the prices are high for what you get. There were four adults and one child in our group, and we were told that we had to order a minimum of five main dishes — this approach felt very off-putting. While the view is nice, if you’re looking for really tasty dishes, it’s better to walk 5–7 minutes toward the parking areas, where there are many better options. I would not recommend this place.

Great dinner last night in a beautiful setting overlooking the lights of Positano. Lovely service from the staff. Zucchini petals, lamb ribs, and strawberry puff pastry all excellent! Even brought us lemoncello at the end of dinner. Highly recommend the whole experience!

Service was excellent and the food outstanding! Highly recommend the sea bass — or just trust Nino’s recommendations. He’s friendly, welcoming, and knows what’s best. We tried the lemon tiramisu for the first time and are so glad we did. Bene, Mamma Mia! And the view… absolutely the BEST sunset in Positano. È bella!
Richard H — Google review
Good view. We were told 1 plate minimum. Later to find out it is one plate per person. We intended to have drinks and an appetizer prior to our dinner somewhere else. We were advised that we needed to order another plate of food prior to checking out. Shrimp appetizer was subpar, freezer burned shrimp with very off taste. Somewhat to be expected with shrimp that has not been deveined. Muscles and clams were delightful; however, small portion for the price. We ordered several drinks. 3 limoncello spritz, and 3 negroni. Every drink we had ordered were drastically different tasting than the ones ordered previously. This is not intended to rant. Do your research prior to coming to Positano, perhaps reserve restaurants ahead of time. Maybe even you can avoid this restaurant.
Colton B — Google review
Truly a horrible experience. If it was any smarter, it would have directed a horror movie itself. Yes this is a medium steak that costs €28. It looked more like they just boiled it. The steak was super thin. The flavor was nowhere to be found. The dressing is just lazy. Each piece was a torture since they were super stiff and chewy. I had to remind myself that I was eating it so I can get somewhat enough calorie instead of enjoying the food itself. The staff even had the audacity to ask if everything was ok as if such a steak was a perfect creation.

Bar Internazionale, located next to the bus stop on Marconi, has been a fixture for over a century. While the recent interior revamp has brought changes, the exterior still exudes historical charm. It serves as a versatile spot offering coffee, alcoholic beverages, bottled drinks, and counter-serve snacks at reasonable prices. Despite being busy due to its prime location near a major highway and bus stop, it remains popular among locals and tourists alike.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Bought baked goods and had cappuccino here which was nice - 3 euro for coffee. Able to purchase bus tickets here too. Nice spot to sit in the sun

A small little bakery, deli, self order (service) bar, and shop. They have three tables outside at a busy cross street with a taxi stop and bus stop across the way. The people watching is great, the staff is friendly and the full bar is great. We only saw locals here so it’s great if you’re wanting a little more authentic feel. They also sell bus tickets.

Stayed up the street from this place and had a horrible experience. I bought some pastries from the beach and went to buy a couple beverages on the way to our place. I sat outside and a few minutes realized I forgot my pastries on the counter. Staff pretended they did not understand me, treated us rudely and I saw employees next to the coffee machines eating my pastries. He told me to buy a pastrie or get out. Unfortunately very rude to tourists and stole my food.

Misaki Sushi Positano offers a refreshing break from traditional Italian cuisine with its delicious sushi. Visitors rave about the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the fresh and flavorful sushi rolls. The complimentary melonchello adds a perfect touch to the dining experience. The crispy rice balls and veggie gyoza make for excellent starters, while the violet rolls and hot rolls are both freshly made and delectable. The fish is notably fresh, and the service is top-notch.
I love this place! Sushi was amazing! I asked to make reservations and it was a breeze. Had a great experience. The staff and owner were so nice. The service is top notch and they accommodated any additional requests. I would highly recommend this place for a sushi experience in Italy!

Best place ever! We were a bit tired of Italian food and thankfully Misaki in Positano didn’t deceive. We ordered as starters the crispy rice balls, so so good! Very fresh ingredients, super nice service and it’s right next to the main avenue. Good selection of Japanese beers.

This was actually surprisingly good and as others have mentioned, a much needed reprieve from European food. Everything was fresh and their menu is very well put together. This is better than a lot of the hole in the wall places I’d eat at in New York. They have both outdoor and indoor seating - the patio was pretty much entirely full but inside it was easy to be seated.

Wow, what a surprise! A Needing a break from the Italian food for one night, our hotel manager recommended this lovely place, and we were delighted to find an amazing sushi place. Really good and creative rolls, very fresh fish. Highly recommended!
Hila M — Google review
Me and my friends came to Amalfi for my birthday trip and decided to take the ferry over to positano for the day and try out this sushi restaurant. We got one of the specialty platers to share because it had so many things to try on it. Every single sushi on the plate was so good. We ate it all and did not leave any. If it was close to where we was staying I would definitely go again before we left. It’s something so amazing to try if you want to get away from pasta and pizza for a day.
Lauren R — Google review
A nice reprieve from Italian food on our trip. Solid sushi offerings, all fresh fish with local fresh options as well. Attentive staff, never too busy, pretty casual. A great place to eat if you want to avoid crowded famous Italian positano spots.

This was a wonderful find to take a break from traditional Italian food. They have great fresh sushi, everything was great. We had miso soup, gyoza and variations of sushi rolls with tuna, salmon and fried. Highly recommend
Viktor P — Google review
We came here on our honeymoon in Positano, skeptical but hopeful since it’s the only sushi spot in town. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst sushi experiences we’ve ever had (and we eat sushi weekly back home in Michigan). The tuna tartare tower looked old, tasted bland, and the fish eggs were extremely fishy. Tempura prawns with veggies had almost no flavor, and the sauce was below average. The sushi rolls themselves were even worse – the tuna tasted spoiled, the baked avocado roll was overloaded with mayonnaise and chewy in a bad way, and even a simple California roll tasted fishy. After a couple bites we couldn’t continue eating. For context, I am not someone who complains at restaurants. I always tip at least 20% and make it a point to eat what’s served without saying a word unless it’s truly sickening or inedible. This was one of those rare cases where the food was simply unacceptable. We gave the waiter every opportunity to make it right. Instead, he insisted we “try more” of the food, which was ridiculous given how bad it tasted. When I asked him to call his boss since the manager wasn’t there, he walked away shouting to his coworker in Italian (not in a kind way). His solution was only to offer 15% off a bill we shouldn’t have even been paying in the first place, since the food was disgusting. Eventually he removed two rolls, but we still left feeling dismissed, taken advantage of, and very disappointed. After all the back-and-forth, when it came time to pay, I pridefully told the waiter to his face that I gave him the chance to make it right. I told him I wasn’t going to argue any further, but he should be prepared for the repercussions of his actions in the form of this honest review. This restaurant has a 4.7 star rating but our experience was nowhere near that. The food was old and poorly prepared, the service defensive and hostile, and the way they handled the situation was unacceptable. Save yourself the money and skip this place.

Beach
Positano Spiaggia, also known as Marina Grande Beach, is a must-visit destination in Positano. This lively beach offers stunning views of the town, with its vibrant restaurants and nightlife. The dark gray sand looks especially beautiful at dusk when the town lights create a mesmerizing backdrop. Nestled in the hills of the Amalfi Coast, Positano boasts colorful houses perched above luxury yachts in the harbor.
It is as breathtaking and amazing as you see in the pictures. The colourful village pirched of the rocks just looks amazing from whichever angle you look. The only problem is, because it looks so good, everyone wants to take a picture everywhere. It can get very crowded and people stalling everywhere for pictures makes the walking experience somewhat bothersome. The beach itself is also lovely although much of it is encroached by the restaurants so the public area is tiny. Yet definitely would do it again.

Positano looks like a real-life postcard. Colorful houses, breathtaking views, and a town center full of charm. The beach is mostly private (tiny public area), and there are tons of stairs. It gets packed in summer, but the vibe makes it all worth it.

The most beautiful backdrop from this beach ⛱️. Not the soft sands of Siesta Key, Florida, but most memorable nonetheless.
Todd M — Google review
Nice beach but it take time to get bus from Sorento to here: - After reaching Sorento, you need go down stair quickly and buy ticket at a grocery store, then line up on the opposite site of the station. If you are late, when the bus come, if you was not in the very first place, you might be cut when the bus is full. And you need to wait for another 1h-1.30h to get another one. However, on the bus you dont know when you should stop, because there is no announce ment, and you need to make a best guest. (I stop at the place show direction to walk down to Positano, but in fact I just need to wait for 3 more stops). Then I walked down and find the beach, during that time, it is nice to see a whole place from top to bottom + struggle to find right way to go down (I decided to get any stair I saw to go down even if it showed I go against google map direction 🫨). After enjoy the beach, I walked up stair to find the bus stop. And I visited some stores along the way, and they are supper expensive compared to Rome and Naples 😂. Again, I discovered random path and found nice place to take good pictures. Finally, I followed google map and went up stair seem like 10-floor building 😂, instead of following the crowd. And get the bus which is crowded and I need to stood for 1h 🫥. In general, nice trip with great experiences but I dont think I will come back as it is too tired for a long wait on bus to go there and get back.
Duc N — Google review
Visiting Positano Spiaggia was truly an unforgettable experience. As soon as you arrive in Positano and begin walking down toward the beach, it feels like stepping into a living painting. The colorful houses cascading down the hills, blended with the deep blue of the sea and the clear sky, create a breathtaking scene that’s hard to put into words. The beach itself is well-organized, with long rows of blue umbrellas and sunbeds that add a beautiful touch to the view. The water is clean and crystal clear, though it can be a bit chilly depending on the time of year. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the sound of the waves adds a soothing background to your time there. There are plenty of restaurants and cafés just steps away from the shore, where you can enjoy a delicious Italian meal or a refreshing drink while taking in the sea view. Prices can be slightly higher than in other places, but the overall experience is well worth it. Walking along the pathways around the beach offers great opportunities to capture panoramic photos of one of the most beautiful coastal towns in the world. Whether you’re here to sunbathe, swim, or simply sit back and people-watch, Positano Spiaggia leaves you with a special memory that lasts a lifetime. For me, it was a day full of beauty, and I will definitely return in the future.

The Wine Shop Positano Vini e Panini is a charming delicatessen and minimarket located along the steps leading to the Duomo. It's a great spot to savor freshly made Italian sandwiches, known as panini, filled with typical ingredients like prosciutto, mozzarella, tomatoes, and pesto. Visitors can grab a sandwich to go and enjoy it on the beach or while admiring Positano's splendid views.
Very reasonably priced for Positano. Mozzarella and tomato decently sized focaccia for €6, with prosciutto is weight based and mine was €9. Delicious and fresh!! Highly recommend. Plus reasonably priced soft drinks and great wines in store too.

After trying the first sandwich here I think I had 4-5 more in the next 3 days during our stay! I even got one prior to leaving on the ferry because they were that darn good! When I get back home from vacation I will be dreaming about No.1 sandwich pictured below!

This place is amazing. My wife and I had lunch here to go before the beach two days in a row. The prosciutto, mozzarella, tomato, basil, pesto, & balsamic panini is really amazing. The line can be a bit long but it moved faster than you think. Second day we had about 15 people in-front of us and it only took 10 minutes to order. Well worth the wait. Nestled on a picturesque hill with breathtaking views of the sea, Brikette Hostel stands out as the sole hostel in Positano, offering budget travelers an affordable alternative to pricier hotels and Airbnbs. While it may not be the cheapest option around, its rates are significantly lower than traditional accommodations—making it a hidden gem for those looking to explore this stunning village without breaking the bank.
Fantastic location at the top of Positano. Yes you have to walk up a lot of stairs but the view is worth it! The superior room had a private balcony and nice bathroom attached which was practical with two toilets and two sinks separate from the shower cubicle. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very expensive (but tasty!) so make sure to book through the website to make use of their offers. Main complaints would be the older style bunk beds with no privacy curtains. There were also no shelves, individual reading lights or usb/plugs which are all found in most other hostels. Overall would recommend and they make the Amalfi Coast accessible to travellers on a budget!

All in all a total nice experience, especially due to the STAFF! The service from the guys Serena & Alessandro was exceptional. Everytime they helped me out when I needed something. I never experienced such hospitality, patience & warm-heartedness from hostel workers. Thank you a lot, I really appreciate that and I will take it with me as a good memory from Italy! I loved the terrace, the view, the breakfast and the location. For a hostel the rooms were as well clean and it was easy to meet and talk with people. In case you wanted your peace, that is also possible - its up to you.

The absolute best hostel I have stayed in. I went backpacking throughout Europe for a month and this hostel wins! The staff is so kind and it feels like they treat you like family. Rooms were very nice and clean and really cute as well! Showers and bathroom so clean and it feels so safe here. The terrace is a great common area and we met so many people and chatted all night. I cannot say enough about this place, it gets way more than 5 stars!

It was my very first time staying in a hostel — completely unplanned, and for 4 nights! At first, I imagined the worst in a six-bed room, but honestly, it turned out much better than I thought 🤭 The hostel is very clean, the atmosphere is nice, and the view from the terrace is simply breathtaking 🌅 Positano in its full glory. The climb up to the place feels like a little workout 😂 but that’s just how Positano is. Beds are comfy and the staff are kind and helpful. For me, this hostel became more than just an adventure — it brought me a very special encounter 🥰 I guess it was fate that I booked it. Truly grateful for the stay. Highly recommend 💖

It is a hike to the top but that’s just everywhere in Positano, views make it worth it & the walks not too bad because the streets are gorgeous! There is a bus stop super close to get down & along the coast. Book directly with the hostel to receive some good benefits! The staff are lovely & super helpful. Very social vibes - everyone was lovely & friendly!

I’ve stayed in many hostels throughout Europe and this is hands down my favorite. This hostel is so charming, the view is incredible, the staff is so kind. I tend not to have high expectations of hostels but this blew me away. I could have stayed here to just soak in all the small details. Do prepare yourself for the hike up the stairs if you choose to go down to the beach (but that’s part of the experience) but worth it to stay at this lovely hostel.
Bailey R — Google review
This is by far the best hostel I have ever stayed in! The staff are so so friendly and knowledgeable, they gave us great advice every day about what to do and the best places to go and how to get there! We booked through the hostels own website and so got free breakfast included which I 100% recommend, I still think about the orange syrup pancakes to this day! The rooms were very spacious and each person had a small box to store valuables (bring your own padlock!) plus a light and plug socket. We had an en suite bathroom plus shared bathrooms available too. The balcony overlooking the sea is the best ever view! My only criticism is that there is no communal kitchen for cooking but I appreciate space is tight in small towns like positano! PS - you can get a bus from the town centre up to chiesa nuova for €1,80 which saves you walking all those stairs with luggage! Also the staff told us about a small supermarket at the bus stop where they have a deli that makes incredible sandwiches for a few euros!

This hostel was amazing! It didn't even feel like a hostel as it was so beautiful and clean. I stayed here in 2019 and am planning another trip to Europe in 2023 and will definitely be staying here again. The staff are friendly! The coffee was nice and the French toast was the best i've ever had!! Delicious. There's a nice restaurant across the road and the hostel is pretty close to the beach (probably a 20min walk down a lot of stairs) but it's beautiful! There's a huge shared balcony which was rarely used when I stayed there, it seemed like we had it to ourselves most of the time. AND THE VIEW was amazing!!! Great price for what you get! Highly recommend.

Even as far as recommending some side dishes with our meals or cheese with our wine. Wonderful people that work here and I wish you guys all the best. Grazie mille!

Best mini supermarket in Positano where you can find anything you need . Good quiality and good prices.the owner and staff are very friendly . Also you can store your luggage for good price if you arrive early to your check in !!

We came here twice during our stay. Prices were better than at the stores closer to the centre of town. We also had a sandwich from here and it was well worth the 5€. Very happy with this place and the service we received!!

Nestled in the charming town of Positano, "Profumi di Positano" is a delightful perfume shop founded by Giuseppe Barba and his wife Giuseppina. This quaint store began with their signature fragrance, aptly named Positano, and has since expanded its collection based on customer feedback. A visit to this enchanting shop is essential for anyone seeking unique perfume gifts.
What a fragrance gem is this little store . Returned second time to Positano and Profumi Di Positano is my must visit for perfume gifts . Have bought few this time my very favourite perfume here is Li Galli💚 - my fig haven 💚 Bought few of the lemon hand creams for souvenirs all my friends love them 🍋. The lady in the shop was so nice to guide me through all of their fragrances. Scalinatella and Tonka perfumes also very good couldn’t resist having them too. Wished Tonka has a small size as well for gifts. I Have to say tried so many of their perfumes and did not had any allergic reaction - it happens often with me from other high end perfumes even fico di A by AP . I’ll be returning to this store again to stock on my Li Galli 🤗

Stopped by Profumi di Positano and it was such a treat! The shop is beautiful and filled with gorgeous scents that really capture the spirit of the Amalfi Coast. I was offered some lovely samples to try, and every perfume had its own unique charm. I couldn’t resist and treated myself to a bottle – it’s like taking a little piece of Positano home with me. Highly recommend if you’re passing through!

A great boutique perfume and cologne store! I went here for my sister while I was in Positano as she recommended this stop. I sampled some products myself and really liked what the store had. My wife wanted the Incanto perfume fragrance, it has a strong lemon scent that’s not overpowering yet long lasting . I bought the Saraceno cologne because it had a subtle scent of lemon but the sharpness of cologne. Both were really good buys. My only issue is that the store doesn’t ship internationally so stock up if you’re visiting!

Great local perfumery that’s been around for 100 years! The owner is so nice and was so helpful. Really enjoyed listening to his family history as well. Gardenia was my favorite scent

I'm so happy that I stopped in this store! I only stopped to check out the perfumes and ended up buying 5 bottles (some are gifts). It was difficult to choose because everything smells so good. I even bought a soap that smelled like fresh laundry. I really hope they ship to the States as I plan to order online!

Can I just tell you how happy and grateful I am for finding this place on my trip to Positano. The first time I’ve visit it, I bought 3 perfumes, the most amazing scents I have smelled. Now I have ordered another 3, because so many people were asking about the perfume I’m wearing and they wanted one as well… The packaging… perfect, there was also a compliment a mini shower gel. I’m so in love with this store and the items! Sooo happy!

Purchased a couple fragrances from here while on vacation last year. They are my absolute favourite! Just wish they shipped to Canada so I could order more!

Wanted to buy my friends souvenirs from my tour of Positano and came across this shop. I ended up buying two bottles but when I arrived at my hotel in Rome, I found out that one of the boxes he packed was empty (the Positano Sunset box) and it was too late to go back. I watched him pack the bag so I knew he could feel the weight of each box yet he didn’t say anything. Another upsetting thing was my friend that I came here with, tried to support me in reviewing this shop and the owner called his comment a “scam”. Very frustrating experience to end such an amazing trip.

Deli
Nestled in the picturesque town of Positano, Valentì Positano is a charming shop that offers an unforgettable experience for visitors. The heart and soul of this establishment lie in its family-run atmosphere, where Valentino Esposito shares his passion for traditional Italian flavors like limoncello and homemade jams. A spontaneous decision to join a limoncello-making class turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip!
For most people passing by, this is a store with a collection of wonderful lemon-based items like Limoncello, jams, Noccioli and many others. But, the real experience is the limoncello class tour that really sets this small store with a “classroom balcony” across the street into a class by itself. The tour is a wonderful experience led by the owner who takes you on his personal journey of creation and discovery. You learn all about the making of limoncello and other items, all with the backdrop of the sea far below you. He is charming and informative. When the class is over, you feel confident in your knowledge, but, even more, you are anxious to get into the tiny store to buy some of the wonderful things offered. Nothing is off limits for a taste, and there is so much to select from. Once you have selected all of your treasures, you then total up the prices, add a very reasonable shipping price, and your items from Italy will safely arrive at your home in a week or so. For us, that is Texas, and since we were traveling with neighbors, both our treasures and theirs were shipped to our address as a cost savings. Worried that we might not remember who selected what, we were pleased to find not only everything had arrived perfectly, but each small item was individually bubble wrapped and labeled for either Kathy or Sue. Amazing service, amazing people, a highly recommended Positano experience.
Ralph B — Google review
Valentì Positano is absolutely magical — the husband-and-wife team are truly the best of humanity. Their limoncello is, hands down, the best in Italy. The lemon products are divine (you must try the slushy). Shipping to the US was insanely fast and super reliable. All in all, a tiny slice of Positano sunshine in every bottle and jar. Highly highly recommend, don't miss this hidden gem.
Erin R — Google review
An unforgettable experience! The limoncello tour and workshop were absolutely amazing — fun, informative, and full of charm. You can really feel the passion they put into every step of the process. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, making the whole experience feel authentic and personal. We loved learning about the tradition and getting hands-on with the lemons! One of the highlights of our trip — highly recommend to anyone visiting! 🍋💛

Limoncello tasting: Beautiful views. The owner was a very funny, kind guy. The experience was short enough that if it was something you wanted to fit into your vacation, it was easy to schedule. The owners were very hospitable We did have to go up a lot of steps to get there and they immediately gave us water and a little lemon sorbet, which is very tasty and nice
Kristen B — Google review
This was a highlight during our stay in Positano. We stopped by on a whim and signed up for a limoncello class which was absolutely incredible. Reservations were put down by hand in a notebook. The Valentino family is welcoming and willing to let you try just about anything in their shop. They deserve your business. If time allows absolutely sign up for the limoncello making class. You will receive much more than expected. In total we spent about 60 - 90 minutes enjoying our drinks and views.

We did the limoncello class with Valentino and had a wonderful time learning how to prepare limoncello. It was very personable, fun and delicious! We spent time picking out products from their beautiful store, that is well stocked with fabulous goodies. Don’t miss this on your trip to the Amalfi Coast!

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. The Limoncello tour with Lalla was an absolute highlight of our trip. She was an incredible host, who shared a tremendous amount of information. I would recommend anyone visiting Positano to do a tour at Valenti!

When exploring Positano by bus, consider getting a 24-hour SITASUD ticket for convenient access to various bus routes. This ticket allows you to hop on and off the buses within the specified time, providing flexibility for your travels at a reasonable price.
I had a super easy experience today to and from Positano to Sorrento. We got there at 7:10am to line up for the 7:40am bus and the line was civil and remained near when the driver let us on. I’m not sure if we just got lucky and had a good driver but he took it so slow and I felt very safe the whole time. Coming home from Positano we waited at the station around 11:30 and got on the bus. It was slightly delayed by about 10-15 mins but there were still seats available despite coming from Amalfi. Driver was good on this bus too. Not sure if this is an anomaly based on the other reviews but I say get an early bus there and an early bus home and you should be fine. Views were impeccable as well.
Delaney L — Google review
Disaster, they carry people like animals and no empathy rhat people are waiting for hours to get into the bus! You pay for the ticket but you’re lucky if you get into one!
Ikor — Google review
We got on a bus from Amalfi to Positano today, the driver disappeared as soon as we got on the bus and that's why we didn't know there were special places for luggage, after half an hour of driving she stops the bus, comes to us and starts screaming at us in front of everyone that we got on with our luggage (which I'll mention again, we didn't know and she wasn't there to explain to us) and then one stop before our stop she stops the bus again and humiliates us in front of everyone. You should be ashamed of this service, it's not enough that we waited in the sun for 40 minutes for the bus to be late, we also had such a terrible experience
Valeria K — Google review
Such terrible service. We waited in line for more than 30 minutes while the rain was pouring down. A small gesture of empathy could have been to move the next bus (which was stopped right behind) to the front, allowing people to wait inside until departure. Instead, the drivers preferred to stay on the opposite side, sheltered, watching the tourists get soaked. I was truly shocked.
André A — Google review
Every review here is true. It is indeed a nightmare when you land up here in the evening, as not a single bus stops here. We waited 2 hours only to see 3 buses go by without stopping. Finally we ended up taking a taxi and paying more than 60€ for the 16km trip to Sorrento, also seeing a bit of traffic, the taxi too dropped us almost 2km ahead of the Sorrento square and turned back. South Italy is a rip-off, these guys depend on tourism for income but treat the tourists so poorly. Pathetic experience!
Arun T — Google review
No mention of Bus Stop/Stand. Tickets are privately sold by near by Restaurants/Cafes. SITA Sud Buses ply for Amalfi, Positano, Saint Agata, Nerano Cantone etc from here
Nitin J — Google review
The bus schedule is a scam. The bus stations as well-you have to press stop and yell in order for the driver to stop. Is unacceptable to wait 2 hours in order to get on a bus, in june, in full season. Because they don't have enough buses to cover all the coast, you can have the bad luck to travel standing and is not very nice as it is already a very bumpy ride along the coast. Bus drivers don't talk to you, don't offer any kind of information, you are all alone trying to figure out all this system. This one star that I offer is because I cannot offer less! This all experience was awful.
Laura M — Google review
4 busses in a row we attempted to board were full, so we just gave up, complete waste of time trying to get on if not at one of the starting points of the route.

Ceramica Assunta is a charming ceramic shop in Positano that offers a fantastic selection of ceramics, including adorable ceramic heads and other beautiful pieces. Visitors can find the entire range of animal designs and colors from Ceramica Solimene, making it a convenient alternative to visiting the Solimene factory in Vietri Sur Mare. Customers have praised the fair prices, helpful sales staff, and careful shipping process for their purchases.
We visited this beautiful store in sep 24, I can not recommend enough the wonderful service we received by all the staff. My daughter purchased a piece and had it shipped to Australia it arrived perfectly packaged and promptly, the shipper they use is very good. Seeing our daughters purchase we regretted not buying something we liked and decided to email the store. We had a fast reply from Giovanni and he even remembered us from last purchase. We ordered what we liked over the phone and Giovanni organised everything again. Today less than a week from ordering we received our beautiful ceramic goat. Thank you Giovanni and staff for a great experience

DO NOT SHOP HERE !!! Super super rude ! Was here 2 weeks ago with my best friend who is fluent in Italian ( from Sicily) and this woman who I believe was the owner was screaming at us to not touch anything the moment we walked in . She did not say welcome how can I help you?? ….. just a very rude “ Do not touch !! “ multiple times and followed us around so much that when I did turn around quickly because she frazzled me my purse brushed the shelf and knocked off a small little 40 euro olive tree. I felt terrible ( again her fault for yelling at us and scaring me with her horrible shrill voice ) I had every intention of paying for it but she immediately started yelling even louder and then threatened to call the police even. My friend tried to speak calmly and respectfully to her that we would of course pay for it but still her attitude was Disgusting !!! So I paid for it took my broken lil tree and went next door to another ceramic place and spent my hard earned money there with someone who was very sweet and appreciated our business much more. Got several pieces and was treated respectfully ! DO NOT SHOP HERE !!

I had the pleasure of visiting Ceramica Assunta during my trip to Positano, and I'm so glad I did! I purchased a beautiful tablecloth there, and I've absolutely loved having it since coming back from vacation months ago. The service was fantastic – the staff were incredibly helpful in assisting me with figuring out the right size I needed, even though I didn't have the exact measurements handy while on vacation. Their guidance was invaluable. The tablecloth is a constant reminder of my wonderful trip and truly brightens my home. I'm absolutely thrilled with my purchase and the wonderful experience I had at Ceramica Assunta!

Absolutely gorgeous products!! We had our pots we bought while in Positano shipped and I can say they take great care of their at when prepping it. Everyone was not just double boxed but had packing Styrofoam in between every layer and so much padding. My pots arrived exactly as they were in Italy when we bought them. It did take 8 weeks to arrive but that cause we had also ordered a custom piece as well. I am so excited to add these beautiful pieces to my home and plant in them!!

Writing about the location on Via Saracino, that doesn’t have a location on Google Maps. Very rude woman yelling at all the customers. Accused me of breaking a piece even though we couldn’t find a chip anywhere. Not a great way to attract customers by having a rude woman yelling at all your customers in the front of your store. She made me pay for it, which I did, only to avoid legal issues in another country. Avoid this chain of stores, they are not at all customer friendly. As you can see from their response to this review, they have made my point exactly, blaming their customer instead of being welcoming and accommodating. Again, blaming me for something I did not do (eating ice cream), but yet, they have video? The entire experience and business is laughable.

Fantastic ceramics selection. They carry the entire range of animal designs and colors of Ceramica Solimene. We had visited the wonderful Solimene factory in Vietri Sur Mare and I fell in love with their work. But the factory is not really set up for retail sales. Then I visited this lovely shop in Positano and found the entire collection. Prices were very fair. The saleswoman was very helpful and patient with me as I made my selection. I opted to have them shipped to the U.S. and everything arrived extremely well packed and in perfect condition. We visited lots of ceramics stores in the Amalfi region but this one was a cut above the others.

If you find yourself in Positano and need a reliable laundry service, look no further than L'Arcobaleno Di Ruggiero Giuseppina & C. Sas. This charming laundromat offers automatic washing and drying services at very reasonable prices, making it a perfect stop for travelers looking to freshen up their wardrobe. The friendly staff creates a welcoming atmosphere where you can chat while your clothes are being cleaned—an experience that adds to the local vibe.
Great laundry, however only had three washing machines so get there early to avoid the wait. Also closes in middle of the day, but opens again until 7pm. €8 for a wash sounds expensive but cheaper than our hotel.
Carl S — Google review
Throughout our visit, we were constantly being told to move. It felt unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. We came here as paying customers, but were told we couldn’t sit in the waiting area and were asked to take all our bags outside because they needed to "clean" at 16:50, which seemed odd. All they did was sweep… One of the staff also said we wouldn’t have enough time to dry our clothes, adding to the stress of the visit. The experience with the owner was inconvenient and unpleasant. On top of that, it cost nearly €30 for just three washing machines, which seems quite steep. I’m sorry, but if we’re paying for a service, we expect to be treated with basic respect.

I went for automatic laundry and washing and took the time to talk with the lady and feel the vibe of the place! Lovely and kind people at a very reasonable price! I was hoping to meet the love of my life while doing the laundry... Good laundry, nice staff who help you if needed, $21 euro for a wash and dry alot cheaper than a hotel. 35minute wash 60 minute dry, can sit and wait inside or there's a nice bench with amazing view just outside you can just relax at.

Extremely rude service with tiny machines and odd hours of operation. I felt like we were overcharged 10 Euro, and when asking to understand the charged, they became dismissive and wouldn't explain. We paid, but it didn't feel right. Too bad there's not many options for washing machines nearby.

The other reviewer is spot on about location. The walk from the main part of town is long and uphill. They have 3 machines of each so can be busy. Staff is helpful. Wash takes 40 minutes and costs 6 euro plus 1 for detergent. See image for hours, a bit odd...

One of two locations near the Positano beach. Loved this location. More variety and the women working there were all sweet!
Melanie B — Google review
Don’t buy from here, saleswoman is rude and nasty. Was holding two bags that we were debating between to buy, lady got aggressive because we were holding them and said it’s not “self serve” even though they’re just hanging in plain sight like everything else. Didn’t make any sense, probably doesn’t want you touching anything because everything is made in India not Italy, as you can see from the tags. Plenty of other shops in Positano with the same exact products and same exact prices, with way nicer people that deserve your business over this one. Edit: There is another location by the same store near the beach, go to that one, same products and run by the nicest lady, highly recommended.
Juan A — Google review

After our lunch we decided for little stroll around Positano town and we found this clothes store with very beautiful dresses for women, my fiancé bought 2 dresses (85€ & 27€) I was lucky and found T-shirt for (9€). Customer service was OK kind of friendly, but you can feel from ladies working there that big amount of tourists on a daily basis can destroy your joy from work. Less tourists \ more explorers. Ps. Quality of clothes 9/10. Very decent and light.

This is a great little place. As many have said they all speak English very well. I just started with a stuffy nose and told them my symptoms, they asked if I wanted it in tablet or spray form and then grabbed me a box and told me how to take it. Was it pricey? A bit, but it's no worse than back in the States when you buy Mucinex for $25USD. It's a small pharmacy in a small town, what do you expect?

The staff speak good English. But what doesn't work at all: The PCR test costs € 100 for tourists. The locals certainly never pay that price! A maximum of 50 € is realistic. We're fighting the same pandemic. It is therefore more than indecent to take advantage of this terrible situation because travelers are normally forced to take a test before they travel home.

Carthusia I Profumi di Capri is an exceptional perfume store in Positano that offers a wide range of scents. The saleswoman was highly knowledgeable and provided detailed information about all the fragrances available. She was extremely amiable, patient, and not at all pushy. This store is definitely worth a visit for those seeking something unique from Positano.
Great experience at Carthusian Positano. Filomena was warm and welcoming and we felt so valued as we discovered the entire collection for men and women. The fragrances are luxurious and love that they hold their original values and quality. We left with two large stunningly wrapped and presented bottles of this precious perfume. Thank you!

Love this shop so much. We were there last Sunday and a lady called Filomena took time and explained each fragrance.. it was so difficult to choose but we got 4 fragrances in the end. Fantastic products and service😊

This shop is a gem. High quality perfumes, impeccably designed, and attended by friendly, knowledgeable staff. Filomena was delightful in her exchange and helped me select the perfect scents to take back home. The creativity captured both in the perfumes and their design constitute works of art that truly make for lovely reminders of the Amalfi Coast. Thank you for making my visit such a lovely experience. Grazie!

Vivian was kind enough for me to smell different scents. Fewer scents for the 25ml size. English ok. Super close to the port.

If you find yourself wandering the charming streets of Positano, make sure to stop by Boutique Francesca Positano. This delightful shop is a treasure trove of unique, handmade clothing and accessories that perfectly capture the essence of Italian coastal style. Visitors rave about the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff, who are eager to help without being pushy—an experience that stands out in a town filled with tourist traps.
Loved this shop!!! I had walked by it at night after dinner multiple times and had already picked out items I wanted to try on but never walked by when it was open! On our last day I went straight to the shop and purchased the skirt below, some crazy comfy sandals, the cutest purse and some bracelets! The woman helping was never pushy (as the touristy shops can be sometimes) and let me look while offering suggestions here and there which were honest and not just want you would want to hear! She made everything fun! This place stands out from a lot of the other shops while not being insanely expensive! Go check it out!!

We absolutely loved our experience here. The woman working the shop was the daughter of the designer and she made everything so fun for us. She put together a variety of outfits (of course we needed ONE matching), and was very kind and helpful as we tried everything on. Lovely shop!!

I absolutely LOVE this boutique! I visited Positano for a day and the outfit I wore ended up being very itchy. I walked into Francesca's and they took care of me right away. They suggested an outfit and it ended up being a perfect fit, and an even more perfect outfit for exploring Positano.

I recently visited a clothing store in Positano, Italy, and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. The store clerk was very helpful and provided excellent customer service, which made the shopping experience more enjoyable. The clothing they had was incredibly cute, and it had a classic Positano style to it. The clothes were trendy, chic, and perfect for the Positano vibe. However, it is worth noting that the prices were a bit on the higher side, which may not be suitable for everyone.

(Translated by Google) When it comes to Positano fashion, it's Theodora. It's sweet and sexy, and in Japanese terms, it's a mature and cute outfit. The lace material is based on white, light blue, pale orange, and black. All our own products. The handmade feel fits your skin. Positano's Perfect for a fantasy city. However, I suddenly thought that Karuizawa would also be suitable. Laundry
On my recent adventure, I decided to trek uphill from Hostel Brikette to Lavanderia Elisa Di Luigi Ercolano, a spot known for its commendable service and fair pricing. While the online information suggested they offered convenient drop-off services, I was met with disappointment as the lavanderia was closed upon my arrival. However, the glowing reviews about their kindness and helpfulness lingered in my mind.
They provide great service, also door to door
David M — Google review
We walked from the center of town and dropped off our laundry in the morning; same day service for a good price and they delivered exactly when they said they would to our hotel. Wash, dry and folded nicely packaged with delivery included in the price. Lovely family service, friendly and transparent up front. Recommend if you need your laundry done to go there.
