Chez Black is a historic restaurant that has been serving delicious seafood since 1949. Located on the Spiaggia Grande promenade, this maritime-themed trattoria offers a unique dining experience with its boat-like decor and beachfront terrace. The menu features delectable dishes such as sea urchin pasta, mussels, grilled fish, and the infamous heart-shaped pizza. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a popular spot for locals, tourists, and even celebrities.
We ate here for dinner twice and lunch once. Twice we called the day before and got a booking easily. 3rd time we actually just walked up and they found us a table. My daughter and I love this place. The 2 managers at the front escorting you to your table are always welcoming. The food was excellent each time and the staff, well we met a few of them and they were ALWAYS professional, happy, attentive, fast and made our dinning experience very pleasurable. I recommend this restaurant for you to dine in and we are sad to move on to another city so all the best you guys at Chez Black. ❤️🙏

What a truly memorable evening we had at Chez Black in Positano! Still run by the Russo family, this iconic seafront restaurant has been delighting guests since it opened back in 1949, originally founded by “Captain” Salvatore Russo - nicknamed “Black” by visiting tourists. Remarkably, the owner himself is still there - greeting guests with the same warmth and charm as ever - and his son is now carrying on the legacy. It’s one of those rare places where you truly feel part of a family tradition. The food was nothing short of sublime - every dish we had was full of flavour and beautifully executed. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout, ensuring we felt completely taken care of. If you’re seeking a restaurant that blends seaside elegance, heartfelt hospitality, and generations of culinary passion, Chez Black is an absolute must.

Location was great, near the ferry stop and beach, had a good atmosphere. The food arrives at all different times, the fries and plate of fruit salad arrives 10-15min after everything else. Asked for tomato sauce for the chips which never arrived. Given the prices, would have expected a little more attention. The pizza had flavour and was €22 and a plate of fruit was €20 with 5 strawberries, pineapple and honeydew. I suspect they are targeting tourists.

We visited in July during our Honeymoon. This was one of the most recommended restaurants in the area. Many famous people have been here and so of course we wanted to give it a try. The atmosphere and location are great. The ambiance is also great and the food was good. The 2x we went, it was for lunch. The 2nd time we visited, they seated us and then rushed us to give our order because the kitchen was closing. When we were being seated or when the server 1st came to us they could have told us. They also could have told us no and we would have understood but it wasn't nice being rushed. The food was good, portion sizes were nice. and just a heads up the tomato salad isn't a salad. its just a plate of tomatoes :)
Akilah S — Google review
Not sure why the reviews aren’t higher…. This place is fantastic. I usually try to avoid restaurants in very touristy areas, but very glad I came here. The food is absolutely fantastic and authentic. The service is super fast and very very welcoming-our waiter Pasquale was amazing! The restaurant is bustling so the atmosphere is great and right in the beach in the main area. It is a little pricey but it’s on the beach in Positano so that’s to be expected. Definitely recommend checking this place out!
Mike Z — Google review
Amazing food, the staff are very friendly & the service is top notch. Has a big variety of different dishes, done well. The wine list is also reasonably priced compare to other restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.
Pam J — Google review
Chez Black is a Positano classic – right on the beach, buzzing with energy, and the kind of place where you immediately feel part of the Amalfi vibe. The location can’t be beat, with tables spilling out toward the sand and views of the colorful cliffside. It’s busy (and a bit touristy), but that’s part of the charm – it’s fun to watch the crowd and soak in the atmosphere. The seafood is fresh and beautifully presented, and the wood-fired pizza lives up to the hype – thin, crispy, and full of flavor. Service is fast and friendly despite the constant flow of guests, and the décor, with its nautical touches, adds to the seaside experience. It’s not the quietest or most intimate spot, but if you’re looking for a lively meal in the heart of Positano, Chez Black delivers. A must-stop for the iconic experience and people-watching.

This is an iconic restaurant in Positano. It is very difficult to book a table in a good place…. We were lucky, but within 10 minutes there was no table available. The service was fast, the seafood risotto was really one of the best I have ever eaten. The nerano spaghetti is definitely recommended to try.🫶

Da Vincenzo Positano 1958 offers an upscale Italian dining experience with a cozy atmosphere and a choice of indoor or terrace seating. The restaurant is known for its delicious seafood and pasta dishes, as well as its fast, friendly, and efficient service. While it may not offer scenic views of the town, it provides a great option for those seeking a satisfying meal in Positano.
First, let me say that the hostess was so kind to us. We walked in without a reservation, 30 minutes before they closed, but she still arranged a table for us, which we greatly appreciated. The food and presentation of the food was simply amazing. Every bite of every dish was exceptional. Also, the dessert was so good, light, but rich at the same time.
Samantha C — Google review
Great restaurant, good ambience. Street side dining with a wine cave room dining. Either is great. The food is good and consistent. We went in 2019 and again in 2025. Still amazing food. Reasonable local wine list. Staff is friendly. Recommend to book in advance but if you don't mind waiting they are happy to accommodate walk-in as well.
Pam J — Google review
We showed up without a reservation and waited about 30 minutes on a Saturday, so grateful to have been seated, as there was a long line — absolutely worth it! The hostess, Ana, was so gracious and kind, and our server, Rafaele, was incredible — warm, attentive, and full of great wine recommendations. Marta also helped during our meal and was just lovely. Every dish was perfection — the zucchini flowers and pumpkin soup were outstanding, and the rigatoni with braised beef was easily the best pasta we’ve had so far in Italy. Beautiful views, an inviting atmosphere, and truly exceptional service. Hands down our best meal and best service in Positano — Da Vincenzo absolutely lives up to its reputation.
Cait A — Google review
I’m a bit of a food snob, and this was hands down the best meal of our 11-day trip through southern Italy. We were constantly searching for great food, and this place absolutely delivered. We had the pumpkin soup, Genovese pasta, and sirloin steak. Every dish was perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. The tomatoes tasted like they’d just been picked from the garden. Service was kind, attentive, and well timed. The beautiful view and lovely girlfriend made it unforgettable. Not cheap, but neither is the quality of the food, atmosphere, or location. Excellent value and truly a highlight of our trip!
Luke C — Google review
We actually had a wonderful time here. From the service to the food, it was great. You can skip the mini calzone things, they were fine but nothing special. The zucchini pasta was one of the best dishes I had this whole trip. The profiteroles were delicious. Service was great!
Rachel M — Google review
Popular place in Positano and with reason. Every dish was delicious. The mussels were some of the freshest mussels I’ve ever had. This place and a handful of restaurant in the area are the only few good places that aren’t tourist traps (as told by a local chef). Need to make a reservation online!
Justin L — Google review
The Best Food and the Worst Service In southern Italy, I had an excellent plate of Vongole and Anchovy Pasta. Hard to believe such a fantastic dish could be ruined by the service. The chef’s food was outstanding, but the waitress completely destroyed the experience with her rude and discriminatory behavior. September 2, 2025 – female server working the floor. She urgently needs proper retraining, as her attitude is unacceptable in hospitality. Food: ★★★★★ Service: ☆☆☆☆☆
Jeong J — Google review
Exceptional dining experience at Da Vincenzo! Every dish was beautifully presented and the flavors were outstanding - truly top-level cuisine. The service was equally impressive, attentive without being intrusive. As someone who invests in premium restaurants, I can appreciate the attention to detail that goes into creating this level of consistency. No wonder reservations need to be made several days in advance - this is exactly the kind of quality that builds lasting success. The combination of stunning Positano location with world-class food and service makes this a must-visit destination. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

La Sponda is a romantic restaurant in Positano, known for its hundreds of real candles that create a magical atmosphere. The Michelin-starred restaurant offers an amazing view of the iconic homes perched on the cliffs of Positano and the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta. It's famous for its lemon risotto with capers, making it a top spot to enjoy lemon-flavored entrees in the Amalfi Coast.
I spent a wonderful evening here during a celebration for my wife's birthday. The atmosphere of the restaurant is stunning especially around sunset and into the night. We happened to be seated inside and while I think the views may be better from the terrace, the inside area with its Ivy covered ceiling and walls provide for a cozy atmosphere and you still get amazing views of Positano and the sea. The service was top notch and of course all of the dishes we had were delicious. They were able to cater to some food sensitivities with ease. The only thing I would reccomend would be to make your reservation as early as you can. We were lucky to snag a last minute spot and its a memory my wife and I will cherish forever.
G — Google review
La Sponda is an absolute must if you are in Positano! I made a reservation months in advance. My husband and I came here on our honeymoon & the dining experience was truly unforgettable. The views are beautiful, restaurant has such a lovely and romantic vibe, staff is extremely attentive and accommodating to all allergy needs. There are two musicians that come to each table and play the guitar. The restaurant is pricier than most in Positano but it’s worth the experience. We’re from NYC so the prices weren’t anything shocking but there is a minimum spend. We were brought out special little dishes throughout the night as well as a little treat to take home at the end of the night. Loved our night here!
Stacey G — Google review
We celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary at La Sponda, and it couldn’t have been a more magical first night! We didn’t have advanced reservations but decided to RSVP online for the earliest available time. Although they couldn’t guarantee a table with a view, we were overjoyed when we were seated with one! The ambiance was absolutely enchanting — soft candlelight, stunning coastal views, and two Italian singers serenading couples throughout the evening. It truly felt like a scene out of a romantic movie. ❤️ The service was impeccable — attentive, professional, and kind. The food was excellent overall; the only reason we’re giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the pasta dish was a bit too salty for our taste. Still, every bite reflected authentic Italian quality and care. La Sponda made our anniversary so special — a night we’ll never forget. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a romantic dining experience in Positano!
Cecile F — Google review
Save your money. You pay for the views and the service was great but the food and prices were not worth it. Their drinks are more money than NYC (30 euros) and yet their large ice cube takes up 80% of the glass. Dario was a great waiter and the team who work there. Food was lack luster. Live music was a nice touch but played Disney sound tracks and Mambo Italiano.
Matthew L — Google review
We enjoyed a lovely tasting menu at La Sponda during our stay at LeSirenuse. I would recommend making a reservation because the restaurant was full. There were two men playing guitars which we really enjoyed and helped make the dinner even more memorable. Each dish was beautifully plated and full of flavor and freshness. The view of Positano all lit up at night is dreamy. This is a perfect spot for a romantic dinner in Positano. Make sure to enjoy an after dinner drink in the Don’t Worry Bar.
Mindy R — Google review
Best experience in Positano… Foods, views are incredible... The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. They even surprised us with a small gift, which made the experience even more special. The portions were very generous, and the flavors were absolutely satisfying. You can choose this place with peace of mind.
Alçim Ç — Google review
I booked here for my birthday months in advance. I asked for an outdoor table but was placed inside. I still had a nice view. There is a €150 minimum spend which is easy to do as each dish is about €50. I had 3 dishes, seared tuna, tricolour ravioli and lamb chops, water and a Lemoncello Spritz. My bill was €203 without the tip. The food was mediocre at best, lacked flavour and presentation and didn’t taste fresh. Nothing to rave about and would not come back for. The service however was amazing, and I was serenaded for my birthday and received a little lemon cake.
Tara G — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Sponda 🤩, and I'm still speechless from the experience. The atmosphere alone is enough to take your breath away, with its stunning views overlooking the Amalfi Coast 🇮🇹. Every dish was a masterpiece, a testament to the chef's incredible skill and passion. The service was impeccable, with the staff attending to every need with grace and expertise. It truly sets an impeccable standard for fine dining, and I can't wait to go back! #LaSponda #AmalfiCoast #FineDining #ItalianFood #RestaurantReview #Foodie

Nestled in the village of Montepertuso, La Tagliata is a beloved dining spot in Positano that offers a departure from the typical seafood-focused eateries. This rustic restaurant provides an authentic Italian dining experience with its farm-to-table dishes inspired by southern Italian cuisine. The menu features hearty and homemade Italian fare at reasonable prices, including popular dishes like grilled chicken and steak paired with fresh vegetables sourced from the restaurant's own garden.
The food was fresh from the garden prepared by “mama” in back. Served family style. The entire dinning experience feels like your Nonna and cousins are treating you to a special meal. Food is amazing. Service is stunning and the atmosphere is without compare One of our group is gluten free. Their knowledge of the food and what was safe was perfection. They prefer cash if possible but will take card. We are here several times during our stay and would come back just to spend time here again.
R G — Google review
We went to La Tagliata for dinner and it was incredible from start to finish. They picked us up in the town center and drove us up, up, up to the top of the hill, the view at sunset was absolutely breathtaking. The food just kept coming, and every dish was amazing. It’s a true family-owned restaurant that’s been around for over 50 years, with grandma and mom still cooking in the kitchen, you can taste the love in every bite. The atmosphere was warm, authentic, and unforgettable. 10/10 recommend, it is an absolute must when in Positano!
Elyse B — Google review
Amazing food and views! Everything tasted homemade and incredibly fresh, straight from their farm. Come hungry because they serve a ton of food, honestly more than you can finish, but every bite is packed with flavor and quality. They provide free transport up from the Positano city center, which is super convenient since it’s high in the hills. It’s a busy spot with fast service and bright lights, so don’t expect a cozy or romantic atmosphere. They also prefer cash and don’t accept Amex. Definitely worth it for the food alone with generous portions, authentic flavors, and a true Positano experience.
Marie L — Google review
Going to La Tagliata topped off an incredible trip to Positano! This is the true meaning of a family owned restaurant. Everything was grown in the garden, and tasted delicious. Choice of red or white. The views were incredible, one of the best along the whole of the Amalfi. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Also the most affordable restaurant we went during our stay there. I'll definitely be recommending this to all my friends and family that visit the region.
Michael M — Google review
We dined at La Tagliata and opted for the €40 per person light meal menu, and honestly, it was anything but light — in the best way possible! The meal included three generous courses, with an amazing variety of appetizers (so many options!), a delicious selection of pastas, and to top it off, a bottle of wine of our choice was included. In a place like Positano, €40 for this kind of quality and quantity is an absolute steal. The flavors were authentic and comforting, and everything felt homemade with care. The views and atmosphere only added to the experience.
Sanjana M — Google review
10/10 experience!! We had our vow renewal reception at La Tagliata and it was one of the most astounding and exceptional culinary experiences of our lives. Treating our guests (all from the US) to a homemade, homegrown, authentic 6 course Italian meal was something I’ll never forget. They raved about the food and the friendliness of the staff for the rest our trip. Grazie mille!

Unique dining experience. True farm to table. Pasta variety all made on site. We payed 60 euros/pp and it was a 5 course meal ( fixed) . They kept bringing food.. ambience was awesome. View from top of positano.

Had the privilege of having lunch at this remarkable restaurant. The flavors were absolutely delicious. The views are incredible and the service was excellent! Do note that it is A LOT of food that you get. For what we ate, I found the price to be VERY low (a very good thing!). A true gem in Positano!

Casa e Bottega in Positano offers a refreshing alternative to traditional Italian cuisine. Chef Tanina Vanacore's restaurant serves up fresh, healthy meals like chickpea burgers, zoodles, and poached eggs made with gluten-free ingredients. The menu also features sandwiches, salads, smoothies, cakes, and natural gelato. In addition to its dining area, the establishment operates as a homewares shop selling handmade ceramics and crafts.
A beautiful cafe serving Italian and brunch menus with a great coffee and drinks selection. The presentation of our dishes was immaculate and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The star hosts were the two dogs who welcome you and wander around without bothering you but you cannot help but bother them as they roam freely within the cafe. I loved everything about this cafe and would return the next time I visit Positano.

This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Positano! I would eat here everyday, especially with the friendly dogs roaming around. The salmon with avocado is so fresh and tasty, the seared tuna on brioche is decadent, the tortellini melts in your mouth. Every bite was perfect! If you're in Positano, you must try this restaurant.
Samantha C — Google review
This place had incredible views! The restaurant itself is very trendy. The food looked incredible and tasted ALMOST as good as it looked! My only issue was with the price that they were charging for their food! €20 per dish seemed a touch steep for what it was. However I still would recommend checking this place out for breakfast or lunch!
Steve P — Google review
This was hands down my favourite place we went in all of Italy. The atmosphere was out of this world. It was still high enough up the hillside that there was a beautiful view out their front door. It was bright with lots of greenery inside. We went for breakfast and had some cappuccinos and croissants. They were delicious. I wish we went for lunch because their other food items coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. Their menu was reasonably priced. It's all fresh and made in house. The staff were very friendly.
K M — Google review
Loved this restaurant! Cozy yet bright and airy. Beautiful greenery everywhere and light and inventive food. Exactly what we needed after a week of pasta and pizza. Service was excellent and the staff so charming.
Melissa J — Google review
After five days of relentless exploration through Positano's winding streets and sun-drenched terraces, Casa e Bottega emerged as exactly the mid-morning refuge our weary feet and hungry souls needed. This isn't just another tourist-trap café capitalizing on its location – it's a thoughtfully curated experience that understands what travelers truly crave. Our party each ventured in different culinary directions, and every choice proved inspired. The avocado toast with eggs elevated this ubiquitous brunch staple into something memorable – perfectly ripe avocado crowned with eggs cooked just right, each element singing in harmony. The omelet arrived fluffy and generous, a testament to kitchen fundamentals executed with care. But the revelation was the crispy filo pastry with feta, honey, pears, and walnuts. This dish alone is worth seeking out Casa e Bottega. The contrast of textures – shattering phyllo giving way to creamy feta, the sweetness of honey playing against the earthiness of walnuts, with pears providing a fresh counterpoint – created a symphony of Mediterranean flavors that lingered long after the last bite. What sets Casa e Bottega apart is the evident thought behind every detail. The food isn't just prepared; it's composed with intention. The space itself feels orchestrated for visual pleasure without trying too hard – a natural extension of Positano's effortless beauty rather than a forced Instagram backdrop. The hospitality deserves special mention. In a town where tourist fatigue can sometimes show through forced smiles, the team here offers genuine warmth without holding back. They seem to understand that sometimes the greatest luxury isn't white tablecloths and stiff service, but rather feeling welcomed into a space where you can pause, breathe, and savor both the moment and the meal. Casa e Bottega is that rare find – a place that manages to be both a respite from your travels and a highlight of them. Bravo indeed.

I can't say enough about this place! The food was absolutely fantastic. The people were lovely. And the ceramics and kitchen linens were beautiful and high quality. Highly recommend that you visit while in Positano.

Ristorante Bruno is a charming family-run restaurant located in Positano, offering a delightful dining experience with its extensive menu featuring delicious seafood and pasta classics. The restaurant boasts indoor and outdoor sidewalk dining areas, providing breathtaking views of Positano and the Mediterranean. Situated along one of the main roads, Ristorante Bruno offers outside terraces where patrons can enjoy the scenic views while savoring authentic cuisine at moderate prices.
We initially booked tables for late in the evening but decided to come by earlier and they could accomodate a table for 6. The food was delicious with good portions. The seafood was fresh and tasty. A good place to enjoy the sunset as well. Highly recommend!

We had the pleasure of sitting outside, where the views were nothing short of spectacular — the terraced cliffs, colorful buildings, and sparkling sea created the perfect backdrop for an authentic Italian dinner. Before dinner, we enjoyed some classic aperitivi which paired perfectly with the sunset and the warm coastal breeze. The food was fresh and flavorful. We especially recommend trying the different pastas, which were cooked to perfection and full of regional flavor. Make reservations ahead of time.
Marie P — Google review
The food is very ordinary and absolutely does not live up to the name ‘restaurant’, the prices are high for what you get. There were four adults and one child in our group, and we were told that we had to order a minimum of five main dishes — this approach felt very off-putting. While the view is nice, if you’re looking for really tasty dishes, it’s better to walk 5–7 minutes toward the parking areas, where there are many better options. I would not recommend this place.

Great dinner last night in a beautiful setting overlooking the lights of Positano. Lovely service from the staff. Zucchini petals, lamb ribs, and strawberry puff pastry all excellent! Even brought us lemoncello at the end of dinner. Highly recommend the whole experience!

Service was excellent and the food outstanding! Highly recommend the sea bass — or just trust Nino’s recommendations. He’s friendly, welcoming, and knows what’s best. We tried the lemon tiramisu for the first time and are so glad we did. Bene, Mamma Mia! And the view… absolutely the BEST sunset in Positano. È bella!
Richard H — Google review
Good view. We were told 1 plate minimum. Later to find out it is one plate per person. We intended to have drinks and an appetizer prior to our dinner somewhere else. We were advised that we needed to order another plate of food prior to checking out. Shrimp appetizer was subpar, freezer burned shrimp with very off taste. Somewhat to be expected with shrimp that has not been deveined. Muscles and clams were delightful; however, small portion for the price. We ordered several drinks. 3 limoncello spritz, and 3 negroni. Every drink we had ordered were drastically different tasting than the ones ordered previously. This is not intended to rant. Do your research prior to coming to Positano, perhaps reserve restaurants ahead of time. Maybe even you can avoid this restaurant.
Colton B — Google review
Truly a horrible experience. If it was any smarter, it would have directed a horror movie itself. Yes this is a medium steak that costs €28. It looked more like they just boiled it. The steak was super thin. The flavor was nowhere to be found. The dressing is just lazy. Each piece was a torture since they were super stiff and chewy. I had to remind myself that I was eating it so I can get somewhat enough calorie instead of enjoying the food itself. The staff even had the audacity to ask if everything was ok as if such a steak was a perfect creation.

La Cambusa is a historic and stylish Italian trattoria located in the Marina Grande area of Positano, Italy. It offers an excellent fish menu with fresh catches displayed in the shop window. The restaurant's elegant location on Piazzetta Amerigo Vespucci provides stunning views of the Amalfi Coast and the Mediterranean Sea, making it an ideal spot for a romantic dinner or casual lunch.
Tried La Cambusa for dinner and was blown away by their pasta and view of the water! We ordered a few pastas to share in the middle, and they all were fantastic. The view sitting in Positano over the beach was equally spectacular, combining to make a wonderful experience. Service was good and fast, and the seating area had some great summer vibes as well. Also had easy and close access to the markets as well. Highly recommend this spot!

La Cambusa is wonderful and especially flexible with our time of reservation change. Our server, Osvaldo, was fantastic he remembered us as soon as we returned and provided exceptional service. Our food was excellent and we were able to order desserts to go for dessert later on our balcony as the portions were generous and we could not fit dessert at the time of dinner. Please try, you will be so happy!!

The rude & racist service of two main male waiters was the main issue. They were rude to many visitors and not to us directly. As soon as you speak firm with them and they see you are spending money then they back off and become friendly. Im dissapointed to give a low rating given the fact that the food was ok but such service is not acceptable. Junior staff were in fact nice but scared of the main grumpy waiters. Rosario was nice but other two were the main issue.

The left, front corner table is in my opinion one of best seats to watch Positano going about the busy tourist season. The view is spectacular and your out of the hustle and bustle on the second floor overlooking the ferries coming and going and the many boats that dot the harbor. Food was good, service was little slow but that was fine and we just sat, observed and enjoyed our meal and our day!!!

Ate lunch at this restaurant, the view of the marina was wonderful. The food and service were both great. The staff was welcoming and helpful.

The seafood pasta was excellent — delicious and served in a generous portion. The restaurant is located on the second floor, giving it a nice vibe and a great view overlooking the beach.

Lovely location right on the beach. Was extremely busy, but they found us a nice table. We found the food to be of a good standard, but nothing fancy. Service was attentive and speedy. The price was expensive, but that’s what you get being on the beach in Positano.

RACIST, RUDE, & UNDERCOOKED: Upon arrival, we were told we MUST order 1 main dish each. We watched on after sitting, no other guests were told this. Throughout the dinner, the host kept uttering statements under his breath. Then to pay, we were the only table told to pay at the front. All other tables were brought the machine. (All other guests happened to be Caucasian). When we brought this attention to the lady at the front, she could care less. Half the clams in the Vongole were either closed and/or smelled off.

Rada Beach Bistrot is a trendy and high-end restaurant located at the end of the seafront promenade in Positano. It offers breathtaking views of the town and the sea from its first-floor dining room and panoramic terrace. The restaurant serves excellent seafood dishes, along with a wide selection of Italian and French wines. Additionally, it houses a stylish Fly lounge bar on its terrace and a disco called Music on the Rocks on the ground floor.
Our cooking class with Chef Andrea Ruggiero at Rada was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip to the Amalfi Coast. From start to finish, the experience was interactive, fun, and absolutely delicious. Chef Andrea is not only incredibly skilled but also warm and engaging, making the entire class feel approachable and entertaining—even if you're not an experienced cook. We prepared a beautiful three-course meal: classic margherita pizza with a homemade tomato sauce, fluffy gnocchi tossed in fresh basil pesto, and a decadent chocolate orange cake—a regional favorite. Every single dish was bursting with flavor and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. One of our favorite parts was the community-style dinner at the end. Sitting together to enjoy the feast we had all helped create, with the stunning backdrop of Positano, was a perfect way to end the class. It felt more like a party than a class, and we left full of both food and joy. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Positano. Whether you're a foodie, a beginner, or just looking for something unique to do—this is a must!

🌊✨ Rada Beach Restaurant – A Slice of Heaven in Positano ✨🌊 From the moment we arrived, Rada Beach Restaurant swept us off our feet. The views? Breathtaking. Nestled right above the shimmering coastline, every table feels like a front-row seat to paradise. The food was just as unforgettable—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite felt like a celebration of the Amalfi Coast. And the service? Impeccable. The staff made us feel genuinely welcomed, striking that perfect balance of warmth and professionalism. Whether you're here for a romantic dinner, a special occasion, or just to soak in the magic of Positano, Rada Beach is a must. I left feeling full, inspired, and already dreaming of my next visit. Highly recommend!

Beautiful view looking at Positano and the beach but the food was lacking in quality. The octopus was tough and chewy and the sirloin steak was over cooked and fatty. Service was good, they were attentive but didn’t react when told the food wasn’t as good as it should be. You get small complementary entree and dessert but would prefer the melas be of higher standard. When paying the lady asked for a tip (she was front of house) and when declined she threw the receipt down and walked off.

Delicious al dente pasta here! I ordered caprese salad, pasta con pomodori and pasta con zucchini and they were all mouthwatering. The scenery is amazing just next to the beach and you can find good photo angles all around the restaurant. Highly recommended.

Underwhelming experience. Booked this dinner for my birthday while traveling in Europe. They acknowledged upon checking in to my reservation that I it was my birthday dinner, but no mention of it otherwise . Our table ordered 4 desserts and no acknowledgment of my birthday or even a written note on the plate or candle like other places will do. The food was also just ok but tbh I didn’t find any food in Positano to be memorable. Maybe I’m spoiled living in NYC and having access to the best food, but I think Italian food in NYC is better than any food I’ve had in Italy and I’ve been to Italy a few times. The dessert was probably the best item. Fresh local strawberries were great! Then half way through our dinner, I believe it was the owner and his friends brought out a TV so they can watch the soccer game. They shut off the music and this just killed the whole atmosphere and vibe which was part of the reason to book dinner here in the first place. Service was just ok. Staff was also busy watching the soccer game. Next to the restaurant is Music on the Rocks. The concept is cool but the club was dead. Location overall is probably the best part of this restaurant/club on the spiagga grande, but nothing to write home about.

Ristorante Adamo ed Eva Positano is a dining spot located within the stunning 4-star Hotel Eden Roc, offering one of the most breathtaking views of Positano. With three levels of seating, including first come first served tables, reserved tables, and tasting menu options with the best views but at a higher cost, there's something for everyone. The restaurant blends tradition with innovation and provides an elegant and spacious dining room as well as a terrace with an awe-inspiring view.
Fantastic view in an Air Conditioned seating area. We ordered the Mullet and the Linguine and both were superb in taste, but the latter had some great value as the plate was packed with seafood and enough noodles to get you satiated. We also ordered the Pistachio Flan which also was very good. Service was very attentive without being overbearing. Only negative I can consider is the price. But still a great meal nonetheless.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The view, the service, and of course—the food. Special thanks to Gianna, who made our lunch even more memorable with her warm and attentive service. We felt genuinely welcome. Highly recommended!

We were able to walk in and get a table pretty quickly, but timing is everything, the restaurant got very busy after we were seated. We were just in time for sunset, which was beautiful. The Eden Roc pasta was delicious as well as the apple dessert. The picture and description do not do it justice, just order it and enjoy! Trust me!

We came across this mid day after just arriving to positano and with no reservation we were able to go right on up to get a table. Very attentive servers, very pleasant and amazing atmosphere. The view is beautiful and the food was just as amazing! Highly recommend if around. I can imagine there may be no open tables later in the evening for dinner but worth a try!

Adamo Ed Eva offered breathtaking views, making it almost worth the steep price tag of €40 for a pasta dish. (The average in the area is € 15-30 for a pasta dish.) The food quality was exceptional, and the presentation was visually appealing. However, my hunger from the numerous flights of stairs to the hotel may have clouded my judgment. The braised beef stuffed pasta we ordered fell short in every aspect. The beef was non-existent, and the pasta portion was minuscule compared to the other dishes served to other tables, which appeared more generous and visually appealing. The sea bass, on the other hand, was perfectly cooked and delicious. Perhaps it was food envy, but I would have opted for one of the spaghetti dishes instead of the pasta we ordered. The one with lemon and tuna looked amazing! The service was a major letdown. During the order process, our server abruptly walked away without uttering a word to help another table! We were visibly confused, and the manager walked over and took care of us. Everyone was super nice and kind. In conclusion, while the views are stunning, the price is exorbitant. At that price range, every dish should be exceptional, and the portion sizes should be comparable. Above all, the service should be impeccable. Unfortunately, if you are going to ask customers to pay these prices, you need to deliver higher on the food and the service. . .

My meal (picture) was a very small portion for 45 euros so my husband shared his pasta with me, which was the same price for a fairly bigger portion. His choice was also much more delicious whereas mine was not really special, so I totally recommend what he had which is the anniversary special pasta. We didn't get the best table in the room either and had some insects jumping in our drinks at some point but our night was amazing anyway and that was because of the EXCELLENT service we got. Christian was honestly one of the best waiters we’ve ever seen, he made our experience unforgettable! The cheesecake was absolutely delicious as well.
Lisa J — Google review
Unfortunately this restaurant was not that memorable, and the food was below what I would expect it would be for the price point…. Starting with the positives, the service was absolutely phenomenal. Our waiter was fantastic and an all round great guy that made the evening a pleasure. The location is also good, with a really nice view, which is what I think attracts alot of the people to visit. The actual food, well, it leaves alot to be desired. The stuffed zucchini was great and tasted delicious. Our mains: the mullet and the sea food pasta, well we’ve had better. The value for money just isnt there… quality isnt that high to justify the price point sadly. The pasta was rather bland and the mullet was a tiny portion that tasted very “fishy”… if you know what I mean. Overall, I left feeling that they could do alot better charging what they do.

Saraceno d'Oro is a charming restaurant located in the Fornillo neighborhood of Positano, offering a more tranquil and local atmosphere compared to the bustling tourist areas. Accessible by walking, taxi, or climbing stairs, it provides an authentic dining experience with wood-fired pizza, pasta, and seafood dishes. Visitors praise its fantastic pizza and delicious seafood risotto while enjoying the welcoming service from the staff.
I came here twice during my Positano trip because it was that good! The staff were also very friendly, and I loved the evening vibe. Sitting outside under the lights made for a really scenic and memorable experience.

Absolutely the best restaurant in all of Positano! We loved it so much that we came back three times during our stay. Every meal was exceptional. The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The tiramisu? Quite honestly the best we’ve ever had anywhere in the world. The staff made the experience even better. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely fun to be around. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, with that perfect Positano charm. Very special thank-you to the waiters who looked after us🩷 We’d come back to Positano just to eat here again. A must-visit if you’re in town!

Nice seafood restaurant, cute, decently reachable/central for Positano, I think it's on one the main streets. Everything we ordered as delicious and the service was courteous. I enjoyed my seafood pasta. Was crowded on a Sunday night, but our large group was still accommodated.

The fries and zucchini fritters were really good. Perfect amount of saltiness for both. Unfortunately the Calamari was so chewy it was inedible and the fried shrimp was not even deveined so you were expected to use your only fork to clean poop out of the shrimp. The risotto was decent but not great. I’ve never had seafood that horribly prepared especially for being right on the coast. I have never not been able to enjoy shrimp or calamari. TOURIST TRAP! Server was extremely rude as well when we politely said the reasoning behind not finishing the seafood as they asked “you no like?” We simply replied stating it was a little chewy and we did not enjoy it in a very polite tone. Went away to the back and laughed saying chewy to coworkers. Would not recommend.
Sierra B — Google review
We thought the food was good. Good atmosphere. Our first encounter with the server, we ordered a limoncello spritz, and a Negroni. We didn’t receive the drinks until we had almost finished our entrées. (We didn’t orders starter dishes). Drinks took an additional 10 minutes after kindly reminding the server. My wife said the pizza was the best she’d ever had. The octopus was tender, but slightly under seasoned. The mashed potatoes were perfectly creamy. For dessert we ordered the lemon sorbet. It was good. Just had to wait several minutes to dip a spoon into it, as the whole unit was a frozen block of ice when it was served to us. I ordered a makers mark on the rocks. I would estimate it to be at least a double pour. I was very happy about that. Maybe you can be a victim of the friendly mistake of a double pour of whiskey :). We highly recommend the restaurant.

The food was good, but not great. Felt like my pasta really needed some acid to bring it to life as it was a bit one note. The service was great & we enjoyed ourselves overall. It just didn’t blow me away.

We happened upon this charming little spot after a day of exploring Positano and we were fortunate enough to get a last minute reservation in. Due to the extremely narrow road, there are some benches setup just past the eating area for guests to safely wait for their table to be ready. While we sat waiting for our table, we were provided with a small glass of prosecco (sparkling wine) and there was a menu stand available to look through. We were seated within 10ish minutes at most and introduced to our waiter Bruno who really made the meal and our evening special. Service was quick and the staff were buzzing about, somehow managing to avoid being hit by the insane amount of traffic flying by only inches away from the tables but fortunately we never felt unsafe. We started with the recommendations for wine from Bruno and really enjoyed his selections that were picked in mind with our meals. We selected the lobster pasta, and zucchini pastas before moving onto dessert and found the entire meal to be one of our favorites during our stay in Positano. The atmosphere was very fun with conversations spilling over to other tables and the staff appeared to be having fun as well. If you can get a reservation or there is an opening to eat here, you wont be disappointed.

Nice spot by the beach with a prime location. The ambience is lovely, and the place is always busy. The food was ok but nothing exceptional—so don’t go expecting gourmet quality. If you're after a beachfront setting with a lively atmosphere, this could be a good option.

As a mortgage lender from the US, I’ve been fortunate to travel and try incredible restaurants, but Le Tre Sorelle in Positano was truly special. The seafood was outstanding — the fresh catch of the day was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. Their pizza was also one of the best we had during our entire time in the region. Beautiful setting, great service, and an unforgettable meal — absolutely a must-visit in Positano.

This restaurant is honestly underrated for its food. The staff were all kind and polite to us. The pasta portions were generous and reasonably priced, especially considering the restaurant's location right in front of the famous Positano beach area. Anyway they have some lovely drawing plate. I particularly enjoyed the Paccheri Con Zucchine E Percorino; it was delicious, creamy, and not too rich. I also recommend the calamari fritti as an appetizer; it was crispy, juicy, and easy to chew. The mussel spaghetti was also delicious and not at all fishy; the pasta was perfectly al dente. Overall, it's a truly excellent restaurant that deserves five stars for its food and location.

A beachfront restaurant in Positano. I was apprehensive considering most places with such views tend to skimp on food quality. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the food was quite good, especially the oysters. Can't beat sipping on a limoncello spritz while you enjoy ocean views and delicious seafood. But understand: this place is expensive, as everywhere in Positano. I live in Alaska and the prices here were similar. Worth it, though.

Next 2 is a stylish and sophisticated restaurant located in the higher part of Positano. Despite not offering stunning views, its all-white outdoor courtyard with large umbrellas and climbing jasmine creates an elegant and romantic atmosphere. The menu at Next 2 features high-concept regional dishes that pay tribute to fresh local ingredients, blending tradition with innovation. While it may be considered expensive, the excellent food and chic setting make it a must-try dining spot in Positano.
I can hands down say that after a week in Positano, we’ve had our best dinner at “Next 2”. Everything we ordered came out cooked to perfection. They have a very extensive list of cocktails and wines to accommodate the varied menu on hand. We started off with the Polpo and the Lobster bao buns which were both so juicy to eat. For our main we shared the carbonara gnocchi which was also absolutely delicious and creamy. The star of the show was definitely the Chateaubriand we shared. One of the most delicious cuts we’ve had, accompanied by a searing hot Himalayan salt slab which you can use to lightly cook the pieces further to your temperature liking. Overall I would highly recommend a visit to this place, and also want to say a thank you for the great hospitality to Roberto and Guiseppe who both made the night very special.

We had a late dinner here at Next 2, the shuttle service from our hotel dropped us off right in front of it which was convenient. We waited a bit inside because we wanted a booth seat which was fine, it's a really nice atmosphere. Our server was wonderful, the food was timely and fabulous and the wine list was great too. We wanted something local and the server recommended one we fell in love with. A light chillable red made locally from local indigenous grapes which was fantastic for the vibe in Positano!

Tucked away in a peaceful corner of Positano, this beautiful restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience. The menu showcases the best of Italian cuisine, with standout dishes including fresh, expertly prepared seafood, flavorful steaks, and perfectly cooked pastas. Each plate reflects a deep respect for ingredients and tradition, with just the right creative touch. Complementing the food is an impressive wine list, as well as a full cocktail menu for those in the mood for something different. Service is warm and attentive without being intrusive. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. Unfortunately, what could be great experience turns into a disappointment. The restaurant environment is gorgeous, but the food I ordered unfortunately was tasteless. A half chicken (very tender by the way), with a small cube of potato and an unpleasure puff pastry snack with green vegetable. How a chef can planning this kind of plate ? I mean, how this portions combined can create a nice experience in terms of tasting ? If I combine these three elements is not possible under any circumstances to create a nice feelings of flavour. I truly regret to choice this option as I saw a plenty of greater plates in the other tables. Truly recommend to review this menu option, at least in order to complement the chicken with other great food options. And in the end. The beer and honey was not ever tasty int the chicken. Such a penny.

My husband and I had dinner at Next 2 on our last night staying in Positano. It surpassed all of my expectations! The food was 10/10!! We ordered a bottle of Chianti wine and they were kind enough to tell us the history of where the wine came from. After we put our order in, the server brought us some delicious little appetizers compliments of the chef. We ordered the carpaccio for appetizer which was amazing. And my husband and I both ordered the truffle carbonara pasta and we both couldn't stop talking about how amazing this dish was, even the next morning. We finished our meal with a lovely gourmet tiramisu. Overall, the ambiance and service were perfection. We had a very romantic and memorable experience!! Highly recommend.

Lo Guarracino is a charming restaurant located on a wooden deck with stunning views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. It offers regional pasta, fish dishes, and a selection of wines. The ambiance is described as quiet and surrounded by greenery. The menu includes vegan options such as grilled pumpkin, mixed salad, and garlic spinach. The restaurant is accessible via a beautiful uphill path that provides scenic views along the way.
We loved this restaurant as it was away from the business of the town centre but still has a lovely vibe. The food was delicious and the views were incredible! It’s near a beautiful quiet secluded beach which we spent the day at and loved! We went for lunch one day and dinner the next, we were sat quickly without a reservation each day. The staff are very busy but we weren’t left waiting. Would highly recommend!

We had the pleasure of dining at Lo Guarracino during our visit to Positano, after hearing rave reviews about its stunning views, and it certainly did not disappoint on that front! The restaurant offers a breathtaking ocean view, making it an incredible spot for a dinner with a view—perfect for watching the sunset over the Mediterranean. As for the meal, I opted for a pasta dish with fish, which was absolutely delicious. The flavors were fresh, and the combination of pasta and seafood was spot on. My wife, on the other hand, went for a vegetable-based pasta, but unfortunately, she wasn’t fully satisfied with it. While it was decent, the dish didn’t quite hit the mark for her, and I think that’s partly because the menu is very seafood-focused, which isn’t really her preference. Overall, Lo Guarracino is a solid choice for a meal in Positano. The view alone makes it worth visiting, and while the seafood-heavy menu might not suit everyone, the quality of the food is undeniably good. It’s definitely a great spot for a romantic dinner with a view of the sea!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — A Culinary Highlight of Positano As someone who has traveled extensively and dined in some of the best restaurants across the globe, I can confidently say this was by far one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The food was nothing short of incredible — every single dish was a 10/10. Fresh, flavorful, and prepared with an attention to detail that truly sets this place apart. This restaurant alone is reason enough to return to Positano. Yes, the views are beautiful and the town is charming, but this dining experience was unforgettable. From the first bite to the last, everything was perfection. If you're in Positano — or even just somewhere nearby — do yourself a favor and book a table here. You won’t regret it.

Absolutely stunning spot by the sea – the view alone is worth coming, but the food makes it unforgettable. The Caprese was perfect: ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella and fresh basil, simple but full of flavor. Paired with a glass of bubbly and the sound of the waves, it felt like pure magic. ✨🍅🥂 The service was warm and attentive, and everything had this effortless elegance that makes you want to stay for hours. A place where food, atmosphere and scenery come together perfectly – truly unforgettable.

The pizza was absolutely incredible—exactly what you’d hope for in Italy. The fish, on the other hand, was just okay for us, not quite as memorable. One of the nicest things about this restaurant is that it’s about an eight-minute walk from the busier parts of Positano, so you get a peaceful, quiet atmosphere with a beautiful view of the Mediterranean and the boats. It really felt like a serene escape within Positano. We didn’t have a reservation when we arrived, but they were still able to seat us, which we really appreciated. Overall, a lovely spot to unwind and enjoy the view!

We had reservations the day before - must get. The view is beautiful of the amalfi coast and the food is superb! We had an incredible appetizer (zucchini flower) and 2 great dishes! Mine was the 10 out of 10 the eggplant parmigiana!! I prefer cream sauce vs red however this dish changed my mind!

Great views!! We walked in for lunch after being at Fornillo Beach and were seated right away. The seafood pasta was amazing!! Definitely get this. The pizza was good too but a little too wet for my liking. Service is very friendly and I’d come back here for sure.

Il Tridente Positano is a charming restaurant and cocktail bar located on the rooftop of Hotel Poseidon, offering stunning panoramic views of Positano. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it is particularly recommended to visit in the evening when the sunset creates a magical ambiance with moonlight and candlelight. The sprawling balcony provides breathtaking cliffside views, making it an enchanting dining experience.
Some of the best service we received in all of Italy!!! They’re so attentive, the restaurant is very nice, fancy, and clean. Delicious food and bread, we got the chicken and lemon fettuccine pasta. It was so so so good! One of our better meals from Florence to Venice! Definitely recommend to go. We didn’t have reservation and they still allowed us to sit after 20 minute wait. Was definitely worth it!!!!

My husband and I had drinks and dinner here and it was amazing! One of most expensive meals of our trip but once in a lifetime views! One of my favorite cocktails I ever had also. We got the whole fish and it was delicious. Everything we ate was incredible. Definitely a fancier restaurant but worth it for a nice night!

We read an article about 3 yrs ago about this in Hemispheres United magazine and tore it out and said some day We are going there! Well- we did last week and it was everything we hoped for. Food was incredible, staff so friendly and views that will take your breath away. I love that the tourist can’t see you or bother you taking photos while you eat as they are not allowed up unless you have a reservation. Thank you so much! Also the dinnerware the food is served on is all hand painted and love the mis-matched table!!

We went here in October 2025 and had an incredible experience. We made a same day wait list request and were able to get a table that night luckily! The service was top tier throughout the entire evening. It was super romantic with the view over the coast and the live dinner music. The food was also melt-in-your-mouth good.

It was a beautiful experience from the stunning views, excellent food and service, it was definitely an experience worth the little extra price. The whole staff was so accommodating, we didn’t have reservations and they still fit us in with a table on the terrace with a beautiful view. Definitely worth trying!!

Had a wonderful Lunch here with my husband and 2 teenagers on the terrace under the pergola. The food was delicious the views were amazing. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. The wine was perfectly chilled ( I hate warm wine) I was concerned the terrace would be too hot to enjoy our meal in early July but the temperature was lovely. I would recommend this restaurant. After the meal you can stroll down to the centre of town and the beach, a great way to spend a lazy afternoon in Positano.

Wonderful dinner experience! Huge thanks to the entire team and chef for an exceptional evening. The food was absolutely superb - every dish expertly prepared and beautifully presented. As an investor in premium hospitality, I can see why Il Tridente maintains such high standards. The combination of excellent cuisine and professional service creates exactly the kind of memorable experience that keeps guests returning. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Il Tridente was the only reservation we made for our honeymoon stay in Positano, and it was absolutely worth it!!! The restaurant offers one of the most breathtaking views in the city, along with an elegant and romantic outdoor dining atmosphere that made our evening feel so special. We ordered the ravioli and the glazed pork (and fries of course), and both dishes were beautifully presented and full of incredible flavor. The food exceeded our expectations, and the service was just as impressive: attentive, warm, and professional throughout the entire night. If you’re in Positano and looking for a memorable, romantic dining experience with incredible views, amazing food, and top-tier service, we highly recommend Il Tridente. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

Mediterraneo is a charming restaurant overlooking the Gulf of Salerno, offering classic pastas with seafood and regular live music. The ambiance is cozy and pleasant, with attentive and friendly service. Diners can enjoy delicious and fresh mussels as an appetizer, flavorful risotto, well-seasoned al dente pastas, and perfectly cooked seafood dishes.
We dined at Mediterraneo during our visit to Positano. It was a bit of a walk to the restaurant, but it was absolutely worth it. The sea bass and handmade gnocchi were fresh and delicious. A must-try spot in Positano for great food and authentic flavors!

Lovely place with a wonderful view. The atmosphere is laid back, staff is casual and friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. One plate of food was a bit too cold. Prices are fair for Positano. There is lots of fish on the menu, other main options are a little bit limited.

What an amazing experience! The restaurant is a beautiful cozy place with lots of artwork all around it. It is a busier place, so I do recommend having a reservation. Though they were able to get us a table within minutes as a party of 5. The service was great, and all the servers seem to have a lot of fun, whilst giving great service. They're all super friendly. The food...oh my god it was incredible! The pasta was the best my group has eaten so far on our trip! You can tell that they make a lot of their stuff in house, are passionate about their craft. 100% would recommend visiting for dinner.

Perfection! One of the most underrated food spots in Positano. I ended up getting the Lobster Pasta from reviews and man this was delicious after adding Chili oil sauce!!! The drinks are the MOST affordable ive seen here. The staff are extremely funny and welcoming beyond any other place here. Gladly would come back before I leave! EDIT: I came back! They were doing live music and everyone was singing along. What a beautiful family owned restaurant, the staff love working here and customers love coming.

Perfect place to grab an authentic plate and good wine that won't break the bank. The restaurant operates like a family. As people came in to start their shift, they say down at a table to eat together. The food was so delicious we went back our second night in town.

We passed this restaurant while walking to and from our hotel and so happy we found it - one of our favorite dinners on our trip! The seafood risotto was the best risotto I have ever had and my husbands gnocchi was the best in Positano. Even the lemon cake dessert was delicious. The workers all get along with each other like family and it make the atmosphere so enjoyable. They also have live music some nights. 10/10 recommend!!

We wanted to find a quiet area restaurant away from the crowded beach area and this one fit the bill. Both my husband and I really enjoyed our dishes. I had a lovely pasta dish with cherry tomatoes and eggplant that was cooked to perfection and my husband tried their home made pasta which had different types of seafood in it. Both were delish! The service was nice and friendly, we let our server know we were in a bit of a time crunch and he was very accommodating. Definitely recommend!

My sister and I are food and wine lovers. We had the pleasure of dining at Il Capitan for the first time, and it was an unforgettable experience! The service was top-notch, and the breathtaking view of the coast added to the ambiance. Our manager, Luigi, was incredibly hospitable and attentive. The seafood was fresh and delicious – the sea bass was a catch of the day and linguine with clam sauce were highlights of our meal. Luigi also helped us select a wine that perfectly complemented our dishes, which became our favorite part of the meal. Falanghina wine - fruity, full body, hint of green mango, honeysuckle and complexity of the flavors infused beautifully with our seafood meal. The complimentary appetizers and dessert (limoncello) were a lovely touch. Luigi's attention to detail and commitment to ensuring we had an exceptional dining experience truly made our evening. We highly recommend Il Capitan to anyone visiting the coast. The combination of great food, excellent service, and stunning views makes it a must-visit destination.

The zucchini pasta dish was absolutely delicious worth repeat dip, and repeat bread! The lamb Wellington was amazing wrapped in a delicious flaky, homemade pastry. The service was attentive and friendly. The environment was not only elegant, but also also fun as we watched people celebrate, birthdays, and other occasions. before leaving the restaurant indulge in their homemade pastry and dessert. I highly recommend the peach semi Frito made with yogurt. Fantastic!

One undeniable highlight of this restaurant is its terrace, offering postcard-worthy views that instantly set a fantastic mood from the moment you arrive. We enjoyed a late, light lunch, and the food was absolutely delicious. While the overall experience was very positive, the service could benefit from a warmer, more welcoming touch. The young waiter was genuinely hospitable, which stood in contrast to the waitress, whose demeanor felt less inviting. It’s not a major complaint, but a bit more warmth in the service would add a wonderful extra layer to this already fantastic place. All in all, it’s a beautiful and tasty spot that I highly recommend.

Franco's Bar is a stunning spot known for its fantastic cocktails and breathtaking views. Located in an elevated position, it offers glorious vistas over the Santa Maria Assunta dome, Grande beach of Positano, and the peninsula extending to Punta Campanella. On clear days, guests can even catch sight of the Faraglioni rocks of Capri. The bar features a stylish terrace with a neo-baroque fountain and a striking yellow and blue color scheme.
Ok.. 5 stars all around, but was weird having a “minimum” of 40€ per person to sit up front, when the cocktails cost anywhere from 22-28€ a piece. It I get it, I’m in Positano. I took the bait. Have to admit it is nice sitting up front. The drinks were super tasty, so ordering more than 1 was a delight. Staff was attentive and polite. All in all a great spot.

This is probably the coolest bar in Positano, especially if you can enjoy the view from the front row. Unfortunately, there is little chance of this, maybe in the morning hours ..especially because the place is fully booked. The prices are obviously expensive, 3 cocktails are almost 100 euros with service, but it is definitely a memorable experience. The service is very friendly ... the cocktails are of high quality. Those who do not enjoy the most beautiful view from the front may obviously be disappointed, especially since even the tables at the back have to wait a long time .. ...🍹🍸

We visited this bar for a drink and really enjoyed the experience. The ambiance is small but elegant, with a cozy and sophisticated vibe, and the view is absolutely beautiful. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but the drinks were well-prepared and enjoyable. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, and they even offered a complimentary popcorn and olives, which was a nice touch. I would recommend coming here for a relaxing drink while enjoying the scenery — perfect for a quiet evening or sunset view!

Franco’s Bar is a must when you are in Positano. The views are absolutely stunning and the service is fantastic. If you can, sit at one of the tables closest to the balcony for the best experience. Watching the coastline from there feels unreal. The ambiance is small, elegant, and sophisticated. It has that perfect mix of chic and relaxed that Positano does so well. The cocktail list is impressive with plenty of creative options. The drinks are delicious with fun twists on local flavors and thoughtful glassware that makes everything feel special. Easily one of the best bars in Positano. A beautiful setting, great cocktails, and a view you will think about long after you leave.

If it’s your first time in Positano- this is worth checking out! They don’t take reservations, so beat the crowds and don’t expect a seat with a perfect view since there are only a few seats at the window but its still a stunning view with great cocktails. The staff is really nice and its a great location in Positano. Just a warning its definitely more tourist here (at least when we went it was predominantly American) which is fine! Just don’t expect a local spot with affordable/cheap drinks. The views are worth it and the cocktails are awesome!

Restaurant Buca Di Bacco has a rich history, once serving as a meeting place for artists during the post-war period. It has since been converted into a restaurant and is now part of a 4-star hotel on the Amalfi Coast. The restaurant offers a picturesque terrace overlooking the sea where guests can savor local delicacies. Visitors praise the dining experience, with some returning multiple times due to the excellent service provided by staff members like Gaetano and Olena.
I had the pleasure of having lunch at Ristorante Buca di Bacco in Positano, which is part of the historic hotel but open to the public. Please don’t confuse it with the Bar Buca di Bacco down on the beach—this elegant restaurant is located just above, easily recognizable by its red window frames, stylish chandeliers, and a refined lounge area right before the entrance. The open kitchen adds a touch of authenticity and charm. They’ve recently welcomed a new chef, and the menu features some truly interesting and creative culinary proposals. We were absolutely delighted—not only by the quality of the food, which was exceptional, but also by the warm and professional service. A memorable experience and definitely one to try if you're in Positano!

From the moment we arrived, everything about this restaurant was exceptional. The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite felt like a celebration of Italian cuisine. We were treated with genuine warmth and hospitality throughout our visit. The service was outstanding—attentive without being intrusive, and every member of the team made us feel truly welcome. We were there with our two kids, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure they were happy and comfortable—something we truly appreciated as a family. The place itself is absolutely beautiful and spotless clean. From the elegant decor to the perfectly maintained surroundings, every corner reflects care and attention. And the view? Simply breathtaking. Overlooking the sparkling sea and pastel-colored cliffs of Positano, it was the perfect backdrop to an unforgettable meal. A special mention goes to the manager, Stefano, who is doing a fantastic job overseeing both the restaurant and the hotel. His attention to detail and passion for hospitality clearly reflect in every aspect of the experience. Highly recommend—this place is a gem.

This was a solid dinner for our first night in Positano after a long travel day. We had a 7:30 reservation and had no wait. The sommelier was helpful, our caprese appetizer was yummy, and pastas were filling. Absolutely 5 stars! The quality of the food was exceptional, every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The culinary experience was elevated even further by the wide selection of wines and expert presentation. But what truly made our evening unforgettable was the service. Pedro and Tarik were the heart and soul of our dinner. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel so welcome and cared for. After three weeks of traveling through Italy, this dinner stood out as the best, thanks to them. Maestro's Restaurant & Terrace in Positano is a stunning dining destination that offers an exceptional experience. The restaurant provides complimentary boat pickup and drop-off from the main pier, showcasing outstanding service and attention to detail. Guests can enjoy fresh, handpicked ingredients from the restaurant's garden, creating a truly authentic dining experience. The location boasts mesmerizing views of Positano bay, with tunnels and courtyards adding to the unique atmosphere.
We really enjoyed our experience. The boat to the restaurant from the main Positano pier was a nice complimentary option. It is only 5 min but the views and the ability to do so was great. Would try to time it with sunset. We were welcomed and walked through the gardens up to the restaurant area. You can’t beat the views and the ambience. It had tables for groups or couples. The staff were accommodating and welcoming. They helped organize a taxi pick up for us to leave. The food is pricey - we opted for the 3 course and dessert a la carte option but would recommend sticking to the 2 course option. My husband had the ravioli and said it was amazing. The burrata appetizer was very fresh. The veal entree was heavy and not needed after the pasta dish. The fish of the day was good not great. The tiramisu was perfection. The cocktails were 35 euro each so unless you are planning to go for a cocktail before at the bar, wouldn’t make that part of your dinner experience. Overall, we were really happy with the experience but know you will be paying extra for the details.
Stephanie D — Google review
We dined here June 2023 so this is a late review. This place was exquisite, truly one of the most beautiful places in Positano. The food is one of those artsy tiny pieces of food kind restaurants and it was very tasty but very small portions. My only complaint is a bottle of rosé was snuck onto our bill and so was an additional appetizer, the server made us think it was complementary or something special from the chef since we were celebrating a special event when it definitely was not. I wish the server hadn’t done this and just allowed us to decide for ourselves what to order. I don’t really even like rosé but ended up paying €300 for the bottle and it tasted similar to a €20 bottle plus another glass of something that paired better with my meal. This just ruined our entire experience here which was unfortunate as I was so looking forward to coming here while in Positano for our wedding. I would definitely come here again for drinks and apps and to enjoy the view but probably not for dinner.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Maestro Restaurant at La Travelle in Positano, and it was an evening to remember. The setting alone is worth the visit – perched right on the coast, this restaurant offers breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding cliffs. If you time your reservation for around 7 PM, you’ll be treated to a magical transition from daylight to dusk, with rich hues of pink, orange, and deep blue painting the sky as the sun sets. The ambiance is nothing short of spectacular. The dining experience is elegant and refined. We opted for a two-course dinner + desert, with prices ranging between €150 per person, not including drinks. It is certainly a high-end experience, and drinks, starting around €35 each, do add up quickly. That said, the food was genuinely enjoyable – well-executed, beautifully plated, and full of flavour. Every dish felt thoughtful and sophisticated without being overly fussy. Adding a bit of celebrity sparkle to the evening, we were seated just three tables away from Michael Jordan, which made the night even more memorable. Is it worth the €500 bill? In today’s luxury dining scene, probably yes – especially when you factor in the stunning location, polished service, and overall ambiance. But make no mistake – this is a splurge. Come prepared for a premium night out. If you’re visiting Positano and looking for a romantic, upscale experience with panoramic views, Maestro won’t disappoint. It’s a place to savour the moment – and the sunset – as much as the food

You get a free boat shuttle service from Positano pier, but don't expect to take any pictures from the boat as it's purely a shuttle, not a tour. Upon arrival at the restaurant, you're greeted by super friendly waiters. For lunch, you must order the 100-euro three-course meal. You'll need to order one drink for photos and one water for practicality. With the included 10% service charge (hence the friendliness), the total comes to 250 euros. The food is decent, but you're mainly paying for the view and privacy. Unfortunately, you won't have access to any areas outside the restaurant floor. The main drawbacks are the high price and the strict cancellation policy—imagine being forced to come here on a rainy day.

Amazing experience and service at the Maestro. The location and views are outstanding and so is their service. We were staying in Positano near the main beach and they offer complimentary boat pickup and drop off to their restaurant from the main pier which is fabulous! The food was super fresh, we also got complimentary zucchini flower with ricotta cheese filling. The flower was handpicked from their garden like most of the other ingredients a few hours before, cannot get fresher than that. The only reason I’m giving a 4 star is because the restaurant is on the pricier side to comparables in the area, and don’t have wine by the glass, which we would have loved to try. But it’s an absolute must try when you are in Positano! We ordered the grilled chicken and Nerano pasta

Contrary to some of the reviews about this place, I can say our experience was 11/10. This place is mesmerising. The approach to the site , escorted down to the bar area to have a drink before your meal. There are tunnels and courtyards before you get to a seated area with a fantastic view. Once we had finished our drinks it’s upstairs in the very fancy lift to the dining area. Where we are seated looking out onto Positano bay. The service and attentiveness of the waiters was superb. The food is beautiful, flavours, taste, texture and presentation . As the evening light started to dim, it was beautiful to slowly see the lights in Positano come on like a Christmas tree ! Also the lighting in the restaurant was enchanting. At the end of the evening we made our way home, the best bit to come. We arrived by taxi, went home by boat ! The restaurant has a boat service that takes you straight into Positano harbour. The approach to the boat is something out of James Bond !! Tunnels, walk ways, steps there you find your boat waiting for you. A fantastic experience, if you are in Positano and can get here, please do, if it’s anything like the time we had, you will not be disappointed!

Nice place with a great view, but a bit pricey you're mostly paying for the location. The pasta was good though. The watermelon spritz was disappointing, tasted more like grenadine than real fruit. Staff was very friendly though, and they offered us some lemon and strawberry liqueur at the end, which was a nice touch. One of the younger waiters didn’t really understand English and just pretended he did, which made things a bit confusing. Still, overall a decent experience.

Amazing restaurant, we ordered the Tomahawk steak, (one of the best we’ve ever had), homemade ravioli with creamy truffle sauce, and a side of a sliced Sorento tomatoes.. everything was incredibly delicious! The entire staff was so pleasant and the service excellent . We will be back for sure!

Best choice for a delicious dinner in Positano! When visiting Positano in May 2025 with friends we heard that Il Ritrovo was an excellent choice. They were not wrong! We were picked up by a driver from our hotel (free of charge!) driven up to the restaurant, overlooking an amazing view of Positano and the sea. We got an amuse of bruschetta (also for 1 person a gluten free bruschetta) and then the most amazing pasra, fish, cocktails, and deserts. After dinner we were driven back to our hotel. All in all: when visiting Positano, this restaurant is a superb choice for dinner.

5/5 - amazing meal, service and atmosphere. Best dinner we have had on our month Europe trip yet. So good we went back on the next night. Definitely recommend!!!

The food was incredible and the service was perfect, very sweet and attentive definitely recommend. I suggest to have the giant tomahawk steak, reserve a table ahead of time you don't want to miss this. We traveled from Miami to experience this in Italy. This is me with the chef. And I recommend the melloncello drink it's very good it's made of cantaloupe.

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants. The food is incredibly delicious, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the views of the mountains and sea are just beautiful. The staff is warm and attentive—truly a special place. Always a pleasure to come back.

Ristorante Max Positano offers an elegant dining experience with a stylish space adorned with art, statuettes, and wine shelves. The restaurant's ambiance is akin to dining in the stately home of an aristocratic friend, featuring rich carpets and literary tomes. The menu boasts creative dishes like courgette flowers stuffed with ricotta and salmon, as well as a four-pasta taster dish.
Hidden gem! Max’s was recommended to me by a local shop keeper for their fresh food. My pictures don’t do the dishes justice! The gnocchi was perfect cooked and had an amazing lemon sauce. The staff were so attentive and let us have a relaxed Italian lunch.

We had a fantastic experience at Ristorante Max in Positano! After getting off a boat without dinner reservations, we stopped in right as they were opening and were so grateful they welcomed us in. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. The restaurant itself is beautiful — filled with local art that gives it such a unique and charming atmosphere. We started with buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes, followed by lemon fish, truffle pasta, and seafood pasta — all perfectly prepared and full of flavor. For dessert, we shared the local apple tart and crème brûlée, which were both excellent. Delicious food, warm service, and a beautiful setting — definitely worth a visit while in Positano!

The food was very delicious ! We had the zucchini ricotta salami appetizer and it was very good! Dinner was also very tasty and the atmosphere was nice. The service was top notch !

We ate here on our first night in Positano and rather enjoyed it. We spent 12 nights in Positano and this was one of our preferred restaurants. The service and the food were both good. We had mozzarella with tomato appetizer which we loved. The fried calamari with zucchini was good although odd. The zucchini was thinly sliced, wrapped around the calamari and then fried together. For our entrees, we had the lasagna and the the spiny lobster with pasta. We enjoyed both very much.

This restaurant is not eye catching in terms of location as you need to go down a long staircase but the quality of food is really good!
RQ T — Google review
From the first night that we ate there, we were treated like dignitaries or better, like family. The service was excellent: attentive but not rushed. The food was exceptional. We returned , three times in total, during our 6 day stay. One night we had scallops as an appetizer, one night my wife had a fish with capers and olives that were prepared perfectly. I had a plate of mixed seafood that was so good, that I dipped the fresh bread into the buttery sauce. Another night we had the eggplant Parmesan as an appetizer, that was practically a meal by itself! My wife ate the mixed 4 pasta dish, and I had a shrimp and pasta dish. Etc etc, Each time we were greeted with a basket of homemade bread, which included simple and spicy breadsticks, anise roll, and olive roll, plain rolls, and bread. All of them home made. It was impossible to finish so we were sure to take them to our Airbnb, where we pressed them into Panini for breakfast the following day! We had the signature special apple torte as a dessert that was slightly smokey and good, but their their best dessert was the incredible homemade ice cream‘s and gelato which are not to be matched anywhere. The inside is absolutely beautiful but we chose to eat outside under their covered patio. Max’s was our “go to” dinner spot for predictably delightful evening.

One of the best dining experience we had. It's hidden along the small alley. Not crowded or commercialized like you'd find elsewhere Food is simply amazing. Mozerella is the best I had. The antipasti menus like stuffed zuccini is soooo delicious.

The food was excellent, and I was very pleased with the authentic Italian dishes. However, I wish the lunch menu included more lighter options, such as soups and salads. Other than that, this is a fantastic restaurant.

Capricci is a cozy restaurant located near the beach of Positano, offering a diverse menu featuring fresh seafood, flavorful pizzas, and gourmet sandwiches. The restaurant provides an informal and welcoming atmosphere, making it ideal for a quick meal before heading out for the day or returning from the sea. With its sea-facing balcony, diners can enjoy typical Amalfi Coast cuisine while taking in scenic views.
I had the best carbonara ever; the flavor was delicious and it didn't feel heavy at all. My sister ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, which was good as well. I wish they offered an option to add protein to the pasta. We also had two cocktails, and they were delicious and strong. The restaurant has a great view of the sea, and there's a window where you can see how they prepare your food. I would definitely go back!!

This restaurant was very close to the sand! We had a view of the beach and the ocean, we got two people watch and enjoy our gourmet fresh Italian food. He had wonderful service, they took care of us, as if we were their own family. Susie, Robin and Momo were the dream team, best service in Positano. They made sure we were good with drinks, checking in, food satisfaction, Wet wipes for our hands before and after the meal, And lots of cheese, olive oil and bread!!!! We can’t wait to come back again! Gratzie Mille!!!!

Great pizza, fantastic cocktails. The staff are friendly and fun, we visited right before a thunderstorm and were rained on a bit under cover, but the staff were all in good humour and brought our things out under a brolly - lovely spot just off the beach and well worth the visit. Ther is a spot on the balcony above for takeaway with no cover charge, but we ate with table service.

Aji is one of the friendliest people we met while here in Positano. His customer service skills are second to none. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced for along the waterfront in Positano!

Da Gabrisa Restaurant offers a unique dining experience in Positano, with a menu that stands out from the typical offerings in the area. Located just ten minutes uphill from the town center, this beautiful restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor seating, allowing guests to enjoy stunning sea views. Emphasizing the use of finest and organic products, Da Gabrisa is known for its top-rated Mediterranean cuisine that highlights the freshness of ingredients.
Some of the most delicious food we had in Positano, we had to eat here for dinner twice. They take pride in presentation and taste! We ate breakfast here every morning as we stayed at the hotel and was included, and was much too delicious to venture elsewhere. The views are some of the best! Francesco and the rest of the staff will take good care of you. If you get the chance stay at the hotel, the staff will treat you like family and you will be sad to go, not to mention the rooms are amazingly spacious!
Michelle G — Google review
We had a wonderful vegetarian dining experience at Da Gabrisa, the elegant restaurant at Hotel Villa Gabrisa. Francesco was superb and gave great recommendations! The menu offers inventive vegetarian and vegan dishes, and we sampled several delicious items: Spaghetti ai pomodori e basilico: simple, perfectly cooked spaghetti with fragrant tomato sauce and fresh basil—we absolutely loved the noodles. Pizza di scarola con capperi ed olive: a fried pizza stuffed with escarole, capers, and olives—beautifully crisp, though we found the fried bread a bit heavy for our tastes. “Come una polpetta al ragù”: hearty lentil meatballs in a savory tomato sauce—comforting and flavorful. For dessert, we indulged in two cheesecake variations that impressed in different ways: The first, Tiramisù con gelato al caffè abbinato con Irish cream o rum al caffè, was rich and luxurious—the rum-flavored pairing gave it a wonderfully adult twist. It felt like a cheesecake with a spirited kick. The second, Cheesecake vegana agli agrumi abbinato con liquori della costa o porto, was refreshingly citrusy and bright, with a lovely liqueur pairing—but it was the first one that truly stole the show. Overall, Da Gabrisa delivered delicious vegetarian cuisine with thoughtful presentation and a memorable dessert duo. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Positano and seeking flavorful, satisfying vegetarian options with a view.

I was searching for a restaurant with a spectacular view in Positano in which to propose to my boyfriend. That was the main criteria for me and Da Gabrisa did not disappoint! After that, the quality of the food was important to me and that turned out to be excellent, too. Everything was good, but the desserts were my favorite: a chocolate mousse cake that needed to be prepared the day before, and a slice of a different cake from the staff to celebrate our engagement - all delicious and very much appreciated! I also want to sincerely thank the staff in helping me pull off the surprise proposal successfully and making it an unforgettable experience. I was able to make a reservation the day before our scheduled dinner with no issue and this was in the middle of the busy summer tourist season.

Best meal that we had in Positano! Definitely a place where you get your own primi and secondi but it’s well worth it. Everything was delicious, we got the caprese salad, branzino, veal, risotto, steak. The hot chocolate was spectacular! View was amazing and they provided blankets once it got cold. Amazing 10/10
Jennifer N — Google review
This was bad. Very inconsistent service. Waiters were friendly but you spent a lot time without food or drink. When we arrived it took 15 mins to take our order for a drink. We had the tasting menu and accompanying wine flight. Food was ok, some of it was very average. There were waits of 30 mins between some courses. The wine pairings with each course were odd and seemed like they were choosing random wines. We got served our food and then they rushed to find a wine to go with it. Who has port with a fruity light dessert for instance? Anyway, hopefully this review helps them improve and gives others a heads up as to what to expect.

A wonderful experience! Gabrisa is truly one of the most charming restaurants in Positano with kind staff, a gracious atmosphere, and an absolutely breathtaking view. It’s beautifully located away from the crowded center, offering a calm and elegant dining experience. We’ve been to Positano several times, but this place now feels like our address. Every dish crafted by the chef was a delight, perfectly balanced in flavor and presentation. Highly recommended. 🌿

This place is magnificent. Delicious delicious food, with gorgeous unreal views!!!! There were two Francesco’s that were superb. The main Francesco got us the seat we wanted for our 1 year anniversary as well as helping us with the entire menu, and the other was so hospitable with pictures and making sure we were comfortable. They really went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience. I’m vegan, and I had superb food- roasted stuffed peppers, the meatballs, and vegan cheesecake. And my husband had the mullet fish. It was all unreal! We will def go here again

We ate here for dinner on our last night in Positano but ate the breakfast almost every day since we were staying at the connected hotel. The food was always good but dinner especially very good. I had the seafood risotto and my husband had the lobster pasta. Both very fresh and good portion size. Our waiter, Francesco, was especially very nice and attentive. He waited on us several times for breakfast too and made sure we got breakfast even when we arrived after breakfast hours. All around great intimate restaurant.

Hotel
Hotel Covo dei Saraceni is a refined and upscale hotel in Positano, offering luxurious rooms with free Wi-Fi and breakfast. The hotel features poolside dining and even offers scuba diving experiences. The renowned restaurant within the hotel has been a reference point for Positano cuisine since 1955, offering a menu deeply rooted in local culinary traditions. Guests can enjoy an enchanting view of the sea and Positano from the restaurant terrace.
As we walked through the crowds of people in Positano from the car to the hotel we were seriously questioning what we had gotten ourselves into and if we wanted to stay, it was insanely crowded and overwhelming. I am so glad we booked this hotel, it completely changed our views on Positano and we ended up having a wonderful few days there. This is all about location and the pool, let's be honest. It's so nice being right next to the beach, no climbing millions of stairs to get to it and then having to hike back uphill just to get back to where you're staying. It's right there out the front door. Next, the pool. 10/10 perfection, could not have been happier. It's gorgeous and the view is insane. The loungers are so comfortable and pool attendants are extremely on top of everything, even going as far as to move the umbrella for you when the sun moves and you need more shade. We were there in the middle of July, crazy tourist season, and there were always loungers at the pool deck open and available. There is a deeper main pool for swimming, a smaller one right next to it that's shallower for sitting on the ledge and relaxing, and then across the bar is a warmer pool with jets, I wouldn't call it a hot tub as it isn't quite that hot but it's definitely warm and the perfect temperature for the hot days if you get a bit chilly in the main pools. We found ourselves posted up at the pool all 3 days we were there, and the one afternoon we left to shop and climbed the hill, I looked back down where I could see the Covo pool and just wished we were back there. On to the room, ours was gorgeous. I admit I booked the cheapest one they had and their partial sea view was still an incredible view, full on ocean from the balcony. The room was huge, it had a long hallway connecting the bedroom and the bathroom which was back by the door, and the separation of space was really cool. The bathroom was gorgeous with green tiling, and the shower had body spraying heads and was massive - best hotel shower I've ever stepped foot into. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, just absolutely gorgeous room. The only complaint I have on that end was the noise. I'm not sure if maybe our room backed up to the kitchen of the hotel or some working area, but early in the morning it would be quite loud banging and thumping, more than what you'd hear from other guests. I'm an early riser so it was fine, but it did wake my boyfriend up. That's the only time it was bad, in the earlier morning and I did book the most basic room so I can't complain too much. I will also say the rooms aren't super soundproofed to the hall, but the hallways are pretty quiet so it's not a big deal, just noticed we could hear into some rooms very clearly while walking past. Location is perfect, again by the beach and all the shops and restaurants down by it. It's easy to walk up through the shops to the main road, and easy to climb up to other places. Let's be honest you're not avoiding stairs in Positano, but it's so nice to be down in the main beach area without needing to climb. The star of the show was the service. Every employee went out of their way to make the stay amazing, from the front desk to housekeeping to the breakfast waiters (and yes the breakfast is amazing, gorgeous view great food, fantastic all around). If you want beach towels, just ask at the desk. Want to go out without lugging your key around? They'll keep it at the desk. Want your sun lounger made up with towels and cold water brought out right away? They're on it and they made our stay unforgettable. I won't stay anywhere else in Positano.

I’ll start by saying that I’m American and understand that Italian standards can be different, but this has felt far from a 5-star hotel experience. I don’t usually write reviews, but I would have appreciated reading something like this before coming. There are many pros and cons. Cons: • Service is inconsistent. At the included breakfast (which itself isn’t great), nobody spoke to us until we flagged someone down for coffee. You even have to pour your own water from bottles by the juice station, away from the tables. • Poolside service is better (the staff are friendly), but not that attentive. We’ve often had to go up to the bar to order food or drinks. Water is not included and everything is charged. Staff will come around, but it’s not the kind of place where they check in often. • The rooms feel very old and outdated, not particularly clean, and the AC doesn’t get very cold. For the price, the accommodations should be much nicer. It’s also very loud… super thin walls. • The baggage policy feels like a monopoly. We had arranged private transport from the airport, but the hotel wouldn’t allow them to help with our bags. Instead, we were required to pay €10 per bag for a porter, and that fee does not even include escorting you with your luggage — you walk separately. Pros: • Fantastic location, right near restaurants, shops, and the ferry. In Positano, where there are many steps, this convenience is important. • The pool area is beautiful, with stunning views — definitely a highlight for us. • The ladies at the front desk are kind and helpful. • The hotel surprised us with champagne and a note for our honeymoon, which was a very thoughtful touch. • Shower has good water pressure Overall: The value here seems to come from location and views, not from the hotel experience itself. If that’s your priority, this may suit you. But for us, we hoped for a more relaxing honeymoon stay with stronger service, and this didn’t quite deliver. For context, we came here directly from Villa D’Este in Lake Como, which was more expensive but truly worth the price. That may shape our perspective. In Positano, perhaps this property is worth it for location alone, but if we came back, we’d likely try somewhere

This was by far the most incredible trip we have taken. The entire staff at Covo Dei Saraceni was top notch. They go the extra mile to provide every service imaginable. From check in to concierge, to restaurant/ bar services, house cleaning, room services there was nothing that was not done impeccably. They planned many of our excursions and all were over the top. Would recommend to all to put Covo Dei Saraceni on their bucket list. You will be glad you did!!

From the moment go - this place was incredible. Location is a perfect 10, service and staff were so exceptional I would give it a 20 if I could. My room was spectacular, also a 10. The staff at the front desk was warm, welcoming, and friendly. Antonella the concierge was a standout - her recommendations were perfect ! And she was a pleasure to deal with. Canello the bartender was fantastic even arranging a birthday surprise for someone in our group - so friendly and attentive. Brunella at the pool bar was awesome ! We loved ending our day with a cocktail by the pool mixed and served by Brunella. We loved her ! I could go on and on about this place. The best ! We were a group of 5 one of which was my 83 year old dad who they fawned all over. Such respect for elderly people. Thank you Covo for creating a wonderful experience for us.

My husband and I are in LOVE with this hotel! Covo Dei Saraceni was amazing. We loved the location down by the beach. We loved that it was very, very easy to walk everywhere (I mean you do have the hills but it's an easy location to get around from). We loved that were so close the the ferry, shopping, restaurants and tours. The breakfast buffet was AMAZING with a great view from the breakfast room. The staff all went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful and even surprised us with a bottle of champaign for our 10 year anniversary! The view from our balcony was fantastic...we had a great view of the hills, of magical Positano, and an amazing view of the Sea/beach. We also spent an afternoon at the pool which was warm and had a great view. The drinks and lunch at the pool bar were an added bonus. We both highly recommend this hotel and honestly can't wait to go back. We stayed in 4 hotels while on our two week trip to Italy and this one was the favorite!!!

Beautiful Staff and Top Notch Property! Easy to navigate location with a highly trained, skilled and caring staff. Yummy restaurants to choose from casual to upscale. Extra thanks to the Concierge, the Food Manager/Sommelier and Bartenders. The balcony had a perfect view of the Sea and Positano which we used to sip wine and relax.
Ken H — Google review
Here is the review I wish I had before booking here: 5 star price, but definitely not a 5 star hotel or experience. The views are your only reason to stay here and in that way, there are dozens of options to stay elsewhere in Positano. Rooms and service were about a 3 star, with basic details on room service (like kleenex and water and not working lights) being missed multiple days in a row. I would compliment the pool, where there are (again) great views, but the paint on the pool wall comes off on your skin and bathing suit and is nearly impossible to remove. The surprising part is that the staff were aware of the pool paint issue and simply shrugged it off and handed me a bottle of shower soap while making a scrubbing gesture. Classy. Only after rubbing off my skin and leaving me raw did the paint actually come off. It's the closest hotel to the pier which makes for a short luggage haul, but the noise from the pier and beach are very noticeable at all hours. We came for our engagement and emailed the front desk in advance and not so much as a reply to the email or a congratulations from the staff. To be clear, I'm not a picky or high maintenance traveler, but if you want to call yourself a 5 star hotel and charge ~$1,100+ per room per night (at minimum), it comes with higher expectations than this. Positano in general felt a bit like an overpriced tourist trap and this hotel was simply going through the motions and churning the tourist traffic.

There is a reason why these guys have been in business since 1953. They have created a simple, relaxing, worry free spot in the heart of the Amalfi Coast. The guys and gals working here will make your day, they are friendly, caring and kind. Food is amazing and facilities have everything you need to make your stay one to remember. We went here for a snack and drinks after the beach - did not go to the beach club. Service was great and the food was tasty! The food here is delicious, but the staff here is absolutely wonderful. The staff definitely stands out at this restaurant. They are very family oriented. We ate here a few times for lunch and each time we went, my daughter (who is 3 y.o.) had the best time. Great drinks, great views, great staff and extremely fresh food. They brought the fresh fish to the table to show you exactly what the specials entailed.

My husband and I visited in July for our Honeymoon. We had a great time and it was our first time at a beach club. We booked online and we were able to choose our chairs. We sat front row to the water. The beach was the most enjoyable we went to in regards to rocks and shells. It was the most swimmable. This place was also very relaxing. People of all ages were there. We enjoyed food while there and it was delish! We will absolutely be back.

Beautiful beach club and food is amazing! They have free water taxi for the guest way back to the port which is nice to get on. One tip: when you get here from the port do not follow google map as it’s gonna show you to go up the heels with 1000000 stairs. Apparently just keep going straight then you’ll see it.

The restaurant is known for its large sandwiches and cool drinks, perfect for enjoying on the lovely premises with views of the beach and cliffs.
Take a left from the ferry port and up the stairs. About 5 minutes walk you will stumble upon this very private, clean beach club. We recommend siting at the smaller beach as it’s more private. For a chair and umbrella in the back row we paid €25 each. The bathrooms are included in this price. You can purchase snacks and drinks and they will serve you at your seat. It is absolutely gorgeous and worth every penny!

We stumbled upon this restaurant as we chose the beach nearby for our beach day in Positano. The prices were ok for the regions we were in. The service was quick and friendly although we did have to return the gf pasta since they were regular pasta (my friend is a celiac). The food was great and tasty and this is where we tried meloncello for the first time which was an absolute delicacy. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Lovely quiet place on the water out of the main hustle of positano, we sat outside had great service and a lovely meal, would recommend to anyone visiting Positano. Everything was very reasonably priced

Nice place on Fornillo beach. We just wanted something light to eat and drink so stopped by here. My partner and I grabbed some sandwiches and some cool drinks. Sandwiches were nice and quite large! The place itself is really lovely and allows for perfect views of the beach and the cliffs. I’m deducting one point, though, because they wouldn’t allow us to sit outside on the terrace even though it was empty. They said that space was reserved for diners ordering off the restaurant menu rather than from the bar. A little disappointing, but apart from that they were very friendly with us.

Ohimà Restaurant is more than just a dining spot; it's a multifaceted establishment offering international breakfast, lunch, aperitifs, dinner, and a lounge bar in the captivating ambiance of Positano. Founded by Luigi and Francesca in 2018, this place was once their mother's tailor shop.
We had an amazing dinner here towards the end of July 2025. We had the tasting menu with a 3-wine pairing. They were agreeable to only having my husband and I do the tasting menu and our 8 and 10 yo ordered a la carte. They even changed one of the menu item to accommodate my allergies. Service was perfect. The wines were delicious. The food was so good. All the items on the tasting menu were so tasty. My kids pastas were also delicious and fresh. Would highly recommend.

The service at this place was good, even though we were a group of seven. It was nighttime in Positano and all the restaurants were full, but they didn't make us wait. We were lucky to be able to sit down and eat, and their food is delicious! The ravioli alla caprese are the best I've ever had in my life! Wow! The pizzas are very tasty. We ordered margherita and diavola, which was spicy but delicious! The teriyaki chicken wasn't as good as the rest, but it wasn't bad either. I would definitely return to this place!

One of our favorite spots during our trip through Italy (it was so good we went twice). Everything from the table bread to the entrées to the desserts was excellent. I had salmon the first night, and it was probably the best I've ever had. Our favorite dish was the tagliatelle with lamb ragù. Incredible flavor combination. The pizza was also delicious.

This place was a highlight of our time in Positano. The food the atmosphere and especially the adorable attentive, friendly, fun, kind servers! Our favorite was SEIV. Sorry if I spelled it wrong. I’ve had spaghetti meatballs all over italy and this one was hands-down, my favorite. We hope to have another meal there before we leave because it was such a GEM!!!❤️

What an incredible restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious super fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. But what truly made our evening unforgettable was our waiter, Seif. What a legend! 😄 He didn’t just make sure everything ran smoothly, he filled the whole night with humor, charm, and good vibes. We couldn’t stop laughing! It’s rare to meet someone in service who brings so much personality and warmth. Seif, you’re a real star and a huge asset to Ohima! 👏 We’ll definitely be coming back not just for the food, but for the amazing atmosphere you create

I ordered breakfast and enjoyed eating outdoors. The waiters were friendly. The food was good, however, I was surprised by the portion size. My pancakes were mini, but delicious. I had a rich cup of coffee.
Deloris W — Google review
Let me start off with, I understand that Spaghetti and meatballs are not a traditional Italian meal, it's an American invention as the Italians usually have the pasta as one dish and the meatballs as the second. With that said, this was the best spaghetti and meatballs I've ever had. How in the hell did we go from this to chef Boyardee🤢 in the US. Either way, the food was really good here better than the 4.4 reviews. The service was very good and attentive. Definitely would eat here again. They also have both inside and outside terrace seating right on the main drag in Positano. It was a little pricey but it is Positano in September.

We had a wonderful evening at Ohima and were genuinely surprised by the low rating—it didn’t reflect our experience at all. The service was warm and impeccable, and the food was absolutely delicious. My husband really enjoyed the beef steak, while I had the lamb ravioli, which was perfectly cooked. I also asked for a salad, even though it wasn’t on the menu, and they kindly accommodated my request without hesitation. Such a lovely touch! We truly had a great time.

Bar Internazionale, located next to the bus stop on Marconi, has been a fixture for over a century. While the recent interior revamp has brought changes, the exterior still exudes historical charm. It serves as a versatile spot offering coffee, alcoholic beverages, bottled drinks, and counter-serve snacks at reasonable prices. Despite being busy due to its prime location near a major highway and bus stop, it remains popular among locals and tourists alike.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Bought baked goods and had cappuccino here which was nice - 3 euro for coffee. Able to purchase bus tickets here too. Nice spot to sit in the sun

A small little bakery, deli, self order (service) bar, and shop. They have three tables outside at a busy cross street with a taxi stop and bus stop across the way. The people watching is great, the staff is friendly and the full bar is great. We only saw locals here so it’s great if you’re wanting a little more authentic feel. They also sell bus tickets.

Super busy corner, we had to watch where to stow our bikes (best across the street. Pastry was great, as well as a small sandwich & beer. Only 40km to go back to Vietri (where we started with our bici’s); beautiful views across the valley.

This was our go-to breakfast spot in Positano. Right by the bus stop and full of locals. We loved sitting and observing or chatting with them. The pastries were so fresh- the donut was like a pillow. Great cappuccinos also. Very kind service.

Stayed up the street from this place and had a horrible experience. I bought some pastries from the beach and went to buy a couple beverages on the way to our place. I sat outside and a few minutes realized I forgot my pastries on the counter. Staff pretended they did not understand me, treated us rudely and I saw employees next to the coffee machines eating my pastries. He told me to buy a pastrie or get out. Unfortunately very rude to tourists and stole my food.

Nestled just above the stunning Marina Grande in Positano, Hotel Buca di Bacco is a charming retreat that beautifully blends history with modern luxury. Once a gathering spot for artists and intellectuals post-war, this venue has transformed into an inviting hotel and restaurant that captures the essence of the Amalfi Coast. Guests can indulge in polished accommodations while enjoying breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Hotel Buca di Bacco is absolutely incredible! The location couldn’t be more convenient — right on the beach and just steps away from the water. Waking up to the sound of the waves and looking out at the breathtaking views of the sea and Positano’s colorful cliffs was unforgettable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile and helpful recommendations that made our stay even more enjoyable. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. Between the unbeatable location, stunning views, and wonderful service, Buca di Bacco is the perfect place to experience the magic of Positano. Highly recommend!

Excellent service from the minute you walk in the door from Reception to the beautifully appointed rooms with breathtaking views of Positano, cleanliness of the rooms, amazing breakfast with an array of choices and wonderful staff in particular Catello that greeted us every morning with a smile and catered to our every need. We couldn’t have asked for anything more at this wonderful hotel. Thank you for our wonderful 4-day stay at your beautiful Hotel.
Anna C — Google review
This hotel was our rest and recover spot exploring from Florence, to Rome, to Amalfi coast over a course of 2 weeks. We walked many miles a day before we got here and landed in the lap of luxury. We were greeted each morning by a loaded breakfast buffet and endless cappuccinos. Catello and Amadou made it a point to keep us happy and well cared for, despite the unfortunate rain we had during most of our stay. When you stay here, you are in the middle of Positano life; with endless shopping, iconic views, bus access to the Amalfi coast, and top shelf food and drink. This is not a budget visit, but I don’t think people visit the Amalfi coast for that. Instead, you are taking part in the luxury and life that the people of Positano have built over generations. Just go.

Buca di Bacco is our home away from home. My husband and I started coming with our daughter and her husband five years ago, and we look forward to our stay every year now. The hotel is so well run, but the staff are what make it really special. We think of Mario, Fernanda, Maria Chiara and Giovanni at the front desk as our family in Italy. They greet you warmly, help with making plans and always ask how your day was. The team at breakfast, especially Catello, are the warmest people, and chatting with them is the best start to the morning. The breakfast itself can't be beat. We already have next years trip planned, and can't wait to be back on the terrace with coffee and pastries planning our day.

Location is amazing , beautiful view. Everything is too close. Shoppings restaurants . When you look on the google map its shows right first line walking to the beach. Actually you have to walk down And when u arrive the taxi or whatever cant drive to there. Ao you have to walk down with your luggages about 1 km sharp, curvy turn sidewalks. Hotel will provide u “ mini shuttle” The guy will charge 20€ for each luggage. Cash! Recommended

Nice hotel situated right in the main area of Positano. Breakfast was good. Rooms are nice. The staff at the front desk could do better. No clear guidance on how to work with the porters or where to meet them or where to get picked up or dropped off. The lady behind the counter doesn’t even listen and was just talking over without clarity. Communication and customer service is key and this hotel has the right potential with training their staff.

La Zagara is a casual dining spot with a charming terrace covered in vines, offering typical pizza, pasta, pastries, and ice cream. It's an all-rounder where you can grab a quick bite or indulge in gelato while sipping on a Bellini. The main draw is the delightful pastries like the delizia al limone.
We stopped by La Zagara in Positano looking for something light, and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. We ordered the Focaccia Impegnativa, which came with eggplant and tomato sauce—it was absolutely delicious. Light yet full of flavor, it really hit the spot. Beyond the food, what really makes La Zagara special is its setting. The terrace is stunning, with a peaceful atmosphere and an amazing view that perfectly captures the charm of Positano. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or a relaxing break, this place is well worth a visit.
Amir K — Google review
I visited LA Zagara restaurant last summer in Positano, and I must say the view was absolutely fantastic! The restaurant is in a very touristy area, which is expected. We only ordered desserts and coffee, and it took quite a long time for them to arrive. However, when the desserts finally came, they were really good – definitely the highlight of our visit. Sadly, the worst part of the experience was the toilet. It was very dirty, which was quite disappointing considering the beautiful location. Overall, the desserts and the view were great, but the service and cleanliness could definitely be improved.
Nini N — Google review
There were a couple of mix ups in the drinks order, but the place was busy, so it was not a big deal. The food was pretty good (the pizza in particular), and the atmosphere was lively. Table 55 in the near left corner when you enter the restaurant has a good fan, ideal when it's hot!
Pro A — Google review
La Zagara’s terrace layers citrus and view: a pergola of lemon trees shading tables, with Positano’s pastel cascade beyond. Founded in the 1950s by Giacominio Russo, the grove still infuses the air with zagara blossom in spring. Inside, the counter gleams with monoporzione pastries - delizie al limone, babà, pistachio domes - rooted in Neapolitan tradition but styled for the coast. I chose a crostata al limone: citrus glaze, pistachio crumb, lemon gelée and blueberry. Beautiful to look at, less memorable in taste (6.5/10), but the setting elevates it - coffee and cake beneath blossom and sky, a ritual as much about place as pastry.

Had a nice nad relaxed breakfast here. Lots of seats on the terrace inside with a nice environment and a view of the sea. Can order from a variety of pastries, sweets, focaccia sandwiches and also the famous lemon sorbet in a lemon.

Despite some negative reviews (unsure why) my mum and I came here for dinner. The food was lovely and the servers were friendly. La Pergola is a beachfront restaurant located near the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta in Positano, Italy. It offers a variety of dishes including pizza, seafood, and traditional Italian cuisine. The restaurant features a vine-covered terrace where guests can enjoy their meals while watching the sunset over the water. In addition to its main dining area, La Pergola also has a self-service section for quick drinks and gelato.
We just had a wonderful meal right by the beach in Positano. The highlight was the fried seafood platter — beautifully battered, fried to perfection, and not oily at all. The Pizza Diavola was also excellent, so tasty we finished it in no time. To end on a high note, the lemon dessert was the perfect finish. As expected for a beachfront restaurant, the prices are on the premium side, but with food of this quality and such a stunning view, it felt absolutely worth it.

Brunch here is good. The only letdown was the ham and cheese sandwich, which could be more presentable to say the least. The location is second to none though. Worth a try if you’re in Positano.

We had a dinner after our long hike and this place has the space for the big group. The service was very quick and friendly. There is good choice of food and drinks. The food was very tasty and I really enjoyed my rib dish made in Italian way. Yes, it is expensive for what you get but it's also a prime location and along the beach...soo you pay more for other things than food. They also have aquarium to choose fresh seafood if you don't mind paying a premium price.

Had an amazing lunch here on a day trip to Positano. Great service. Very quick and staff very lovely. The food was great and relatively priced for the location/view/atmosphere. Went solo but didn’t have to wait too long for a table. Would recommend booking a table if going on the weekend though for sure. Would love to bring my partner back for some food and drinks next time I’m in Positano. Went all out and got the lobster pasta. Fresh lobster from the tank named Pinchy (Simpsons reference).

The service here was absolutely disappointing .slow, snobby, and completely unappreciative. As Americans, we were immediately made to feel unwelcome, the staff barely smiled and seemed annoyed that we were even there. To top it off, they added a 6 euro cover charge, which felt ridiculous given how poor the service was. Luckily, we discovered Le Tre Sorelle right across the street... they welcomed us with open arms, great energy, and genuine hospitality. They love their tourists here!Don’t make the same mistake we did. Skipppp

What a gem at the beach in Pisitano! We ordered separate red snapper - one with their signature citrus sauce (including orange sections) and one with cherry tomatoes and basil. Both were freshly made and served quickly. We devoured bother with some crusty bread and a couple of glasses of white wine. Took in the beach scene while we sipped and had lunch. This spot completely blew us away! Our best meal in Italy. Service was lovely, everyone is friendly and not overly stuffy, the wine recommendations were incredible and every bite was perfect - we’ve hit up a few Michelin spots on this trip and the food here was better! We did the scampi and tartare of the day appetizers, both amazing, the gnocchi special, and the lamb. We were beyond full but kept eating because everything tasted so immaculate. Thank you Al Palazzo for an amazing dining experience!

Elegant Dining in a Garden Oasis – A Refined Amalfi Experience Al Palazzo is a true hidden gem in Positano tucked away in a peaceful garden setting that feels like a world of its own. The atmosphere is refined yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot for a special evening without the stuffiness. We started with the scampi, which were beautifully presented and delicately cooked—fresh, sweet, and full of flavor. The homemade gnocchi for the main course was light, pillowy, and paired with a perfectly balanced sauce. For dessert, the fresh lemon sorbet was the highlight: tangy, refreshing, and the perfect palate cleanser after a rich meal. What really elevated the experience were the thoughtful extras: a selection of artisanal breads to start, and complimentary chocolates with dessert that felt like a small but generous gesture. Service was smooth and attentive without being intrusive. It’s on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it for the quality, setting, and attention to detail. Al Palazzo delivers on every level—flavor, ambiance, and hospitality. Highly recommended for those seeking a refined yet warm dining experience in Positani.

We went to Al Palazzo on one of our last nights in Italy and we are so glad we did. The service was TOP notch, the food was top notch and the atmosphere amazing. They purposefully have less tables so it’s not busy feeling like all of the other restaurants. The staff were always right there and they were a lot of fun. They had two guys playing a guitars and they were so much fun. Definitely will go back if we have the chance.

It was my first dinner at Positano in a little mother-daughter trip, and Al Palazzo made everything super special. Service was great, food amazing, and I loved the little details that made the experience incredible. They sent some starters and deserts on the house, after asking where we are from (Brazil), they started playing Bossa Nova (Brazilian music genre), and made us feel very special. Definitely pricey, but worth it for a special occasion.

Casa Mele, located in Positano, is a small restaurant offering innovative tasting menus and cooking classes. Founded by owner Raffaele Mandara, the venue aims to create a welcoming environment reminiscent of home. Despite lacking a view, Casa Mele combines local ingredients with inventive flavor combinations to produce exceptional dishes. The unassuming exterior leads into an open, lively, and modern space where guests can indulge in delicious regional cuisine and even participate in cooking classes.
We had an incredible experience at Casa Mele in Positano, taking a private cooking class with Chef and owner Raffaele Mandara. He made the entire experience so easy to follow, detailed, relaxed, and joyful — truly a pleasure from start to finish. We love Italian food, and having the opportunity to learn how to make it under Chef Raffaele’s guidance was a real privilege. We prepared tiramisu, fish, eggplant balls, tomato sauce, and pasta — everything was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend taking a cooking class with Chef Raffaele if you are in Positano. It’s an experience you will never forget!

If you desire an artfully prepared, unique, 1 of 1 Italian dining experience then Casa Mele is a must. Absolutely incredible food. And great wines too. If you are accustomed to extremely high end fine dining type of service then it might feel a bit casual or laid back in regard to service.. which can honestly feel nice when compared to many other stuffy high end places. And the food is absolutely 10/10…. If you are a real foodie type or truly appreciate beautiful, unique, delicious ingredients then you can’t miss this place.

Wow, Casa Mele blew my mind with the ultimate chef-to-table party! Picture this: a jaw-dropping 15+ course Italian food extravaganza, complete with a chef putting on a warm and homey cooking show right in front of us! We snagged front-row seats and watched the magic unfold—every dish was a flavor explosion! Toss in three bottles of wine, and it turned into a total blast! The staff? Absolute rockstars—super friendly, accommodating, and keeping the good vibes flowing. One drawback is the lack of a view to the famous Positano, but the incredible food and experience more than make up for it. You’ve GOT to check this place out—highly recommend!

My daughter (7yr) and I had a wonderful experience with the cooking class. The food was amazing, the class is adapted and the chef is happy to answer any questions. Thank you for the wonderful memories we created yesterday.

We got the best table, seated side by side, watching the chefs prepare our Casa Mele Experience (7 course tasting menu). Each dish was generously portioned with an interesting mix of flavours. 2 starters, 2 pastas and 2 mains. Loved watching the chefs work. They’re a cheerful bunch. The waiters were warm and prompt, each course came very quickly. Service was excellent, food and presentation was faultless. Best meal in Positano, and we went to some other Michelin recommended restaurants which were sadly disappointing. For the amount of food you get, the price is actually amazing. The menu states the last course as “desserts”. They brought out 5 different types of desserts. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Arienzo Beach Club Positano is a picturesque beach offering shuttle service, a restaurant, and beach amenities with stunning views of the Amalfi coast. It's known for its iconic orange umbrellas and can be reached by a complimentary boat. While some visitors find it to be nothing extraordinary, others appreciate the change in scenery from other nearby beaches. The club also features an on-site restaurant, although not all guests have had the chance to dine there.
We took a day off of our crazy Italy schedule to go to Arienzo. We stayed at Antalia Boutique Hotel which have the same owners so we were able to go and get a chair without having to purchase a bottle or anything. Although we were like 4th row in, it was fine. Boat shuttle was easy to find in Positano and a great ride right to the dock at the beach club and the vibe when we got off the boat was fantastic. Such great music! We went on a Sunday in September. We were brought over to our chairs and asked if we needed anything. We got some water to start as we had a reserved lunch at 1pm at the restaurant. Didn't expect much of the food for a beach club, but we were pleasantly suprised. We got the Caprese Salad, Octopus Salad, Grilled Entrecoste (pork) and of course an espresso. We sat right by the DJ on a bar top type table, although it was right in front of bathrooms wasn't a big deal as we were facing the water. Food and service was fabulous. We then got cocktails at our seats and got up to join the "lemoncello time" fun but didn't participate. Water was gorgeous but water shoes would have been helpful, the rocky "sand" and shore which was HOT with the sun was a little tough on bare feet but we did it. Was lots of fun, but I have to say 80% of the guests were American which was interesting. Let's just say that people watching is fun! Great place to spend the day to chill and enjoy the sea, food and music in Positano.

The food, music, and atmosphere were flawless, and the beach itself was beautiful, spotless, and perfect for a refreshing swim. A big thank you to Antonio, who went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and taken care of all day. His hospitality and sense of fashionable sunglasses truly stood out. I will absolutely be back and am already looking forward to my next visit!

We got the package which comes with a bottle of wine and food (one appetizer and one main course dish per person). The food was great! The meatball pasta was delicious. The octopus appetizer was notable too. Is it worth the money? I’d say yes- you pay for access to the private beach, good sunbeds and excellent service. Even the shuttle service is quick and a fun ride.

My wife and I had a blast coming here! I highly recommend coming to this private beach club. The music was a vibe, the food was excellent, and we had fun! We had the Unforgettable Memories package, especially since it was our honeymoon! The package includes: access to the beach club for the number of guests specified in the offer. 1 x Photoshooting 25 min 1 x Cake 1 x Flowers Bouquet 1 x Umbrella 2 x SunBed 2 x Towel 2 x Water Bottle 50cl 2 x Two Course Meal This is definitely something to do for a couple and I highly recommend this package!

My husband and I came here one day while we were here on our honeymoon, the vibe is amazing! Arienzo is a must. Service is great, the food was way better than I had expected, music is good and the vibe is just so fun. There is a private free boat that takes you from Positano to Arienzo every 30 mins. It was a perfect beach day. We got the Unforgettable Memories package and were seated in the first row. They brought us roses, a cake, and we even had a photo shoot included as well. So fun!

Arienzo Beach Club is a MUST if you’re visiting Positano. The transfer from the port to the beach club was made easy and effortless with the staff’s communication and hospitality. We were greeted with a bottle of some of the best rosé I’ve ever had, and the beach side service was unmatched!! We spent all day going back and forth between our chairs and the water, enjoying fresh snacks and meals in-between. The food, drinks, music, service, and overall vibe were amazing. I’m dying to go back one day!!

One of our favorite things we did on our trip! Arienzo was great starting from the waiting area in Positano. This beach club was so fun and had great vibes. Lunch and drinks were great. Swimming on their beach was great as they had floats and paddle boards for guests and a jumping rock. They even had limoncello shots around 5pm which was a whole spectacle. I would highly recommend for anyone visiting the coast!

Beach club and a half. Well worth every penny. 🥘- superb food, start to finish 🍸- cocktails on point 💁 - service out of this world There is an included shuttle service to and from the beach. If you can only choose one beach club along the Amalfi coast, make it this one.

La Brezza is a charming spot located along the seafront at Positano's Spiaggia Grande, offering a more laid-back atmosphere compared to other sought-after places in the area. The restaurant serves generous Aperol spritzes and flavorful margaritas on its casual canopied balcony and lovely terrace with breathtaking views of the sea. It's popular among both tourists and locals, known for its affordable prices and friendly ambiance.
Good drinks and great place for people watching. They also play the best music out of all the bars near the beach in Positano.

Great location near Positano Boat Pier. Great for people watching and for snacks, drinks. Marco was exceptional in service and conversation. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Great service by the young lady when we visited. We had two drinks that come with snacks (salted peanuts or crisps) , both were good and the food was great. Ordered the zucchini dish and the octopus, for lunch it was probably small portions but cooked perfectly. Prices are high like everywhere else in Positano , so can't complain. Good views of the beach and people walking by.

1 star – Worst customer service I’ve experienced on the Amalfi Coast! I stopped by this place in Positano, planning to order something after using the restroom, but was met with incredibly rude behavior from an unprofessional staff member. Before even asking what I wanted, she yelled at me, demanding to know if I was going to order something, as if I didn’t belong there. She then pointed to the public bathroom in the most disrespectful manner. When I mentioned that I would be leaving a review, the manager came over—even ruder. She pretended to hand me a business card and then pulled it back from my hand in a mocking way, saying: “Oh, you’re going to write a review? Then come film inside,” almost threatening to hit me. I honestly felt unsafe. And I can’t help but wonder—if this is how they treat customers openly, what might they do when no one’s watching? Such a shame, because Positano is beautiful, but this kind of behavior tarnishes the entire experience. The place was dirty, poorly managed, and shockingly disrespectful. Avoid at all costs.

Wow! Never had such amazing service by wonderful, friendly & beautiful staff who make you feel so much at home and relaxed, this is a family run business who go out their way to make your holiday special. Food is amazing, must try the club sandwich and the fish and chips, drinks are to die for, the Long Island ice tea’s are a must and are the best you’ll find in Positano (believe me I’ve drunk a lot of them) and the wine Greco is a must (Italian at its finest) a truly amazing bar for food and drink, A must try for dine in or take out. Thank you Amanda & Geoff

Very friendly staff, beautiful view and the drinks were amazing today! I had the lemon, slushy vodka drink. If you love lemon, get it. The bathrooms were the cleanest so far in Italy and there was a designated ladies room. We were visiting from Palm Beach, Florida.
Jennifer H — Google review
I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience was too negative to stay quiet. I came with my boyfriend and friends, and from the second we sat down, the waitress girl who was clearly Argentinian treated us with disrespect. She rolled her eyes, rushed us while we were trying to decide, and when my friend asked her to wait, she made a rude comment in Spanish that was clearly meant to insult us. That kind of behavior is unacceptable. It made us feel unwelcome and singled out, and no customer should ever be treated that way. Management needs to take responsibility for who they hire and make sure staff understand how to treat all guests with basic respect. Until that happens, I strongly suggest people think twice before coming here.

Hotel Pupetto Positano is a laid-back property located on the charming beach of Fornillo, offering airy rooms and a renowned restaurant with a panoramic terrace. The hotel provides a peaceful and reserved spot in Positano, just a short walk from the town center. Guests can enjoy beautiful views from every part of the hotel and indulge in delicious seafood specialties and wood-fired pizzas at the restaurant.
This is my third stay here. It’s a small family run hotel, everyone is warm and friendly. The beach is a step away to the warm sea. The beach club food is fantastic and the staff are super friendly. The rooms are clean and the one I stayed in has just been refurbished. The older part is still really nice , with an Italian feel with yellow and blue tiles. It’s a real little gem and gets booked very quickly which really says it all. The sea view from the rooms are fantastic Can’t wait to see everyone again next year.

Absolutely wonderful stay. The hotel is slightly off the beaten path, which was a pleasant atmosphere! Away from the main city it gave a sense of paradise and serenity. We had the garden view room and were not disappointed. Beds were comfy and clean, room was spacious, bathroom was clean, and the balcony was a delightful added bonus for us. Service was great as well. Room service was respectful and prompt. Making quick work go clean the room. The restaurant was absolutely fantastic! One of our favorite meals in our 10day honeymoon in Italy. The gnachetti with braised lamb and the slow-cooked pork shoulder were absolutely delicious!

This hotel offers great value and amenities given the price and compared to other hotels in the area. The breakfast in the morning, and their cappuccinos are a great way to start your day. The hotel is located right by the beach and very convenient to enjoy the water without having to leave the hotel. Lots of stairs to get down to it if you park your car on top of the hill, make sure you're aware of the stairs, around 500-600 of them to be exact. The hotel does offer a porter service to get your luggage down for you.
Sean Z — Google review
Perfect hotel for a stay in Positano! It was a short walk to the main port area, and there were two main ways to get up into town for all the restaurants and shops (though prepare for lots of stairs); we walked everywhere. The access to the beach club and free public beach is a huge convenience. The view from our room was stunning, and the balcony was a peaceful location to take in Positano. There was included breakfast buffet and luggage porter service from the ferry.
Chelsea A — Google review
I would understand that the location of the hotel is most likely the best in Positano, if you like to combine a beach holiday with exploring the Amalfi coast. The Fornillo beach is not so crowded like the main beach and the hotel is directly located on the beach and still close to the ferry services and the city centre. The hotel staff was extra ordinarily friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, just the room furniture would need refurbishment. I am aware that we just were in a standard room and the bed was very good. But the atmosphere of the room itself was very cold. Replacing the old chairs and placing some pictures on the wall would help a lot to improve it.
Harald C — Google review
Great hotel! I loved my stay here, everyone was nice and very helpful and the room was charming with an amazing view. The breakfast was really good too. Everything you need to experience is nearby and my husband and I had a wonderful time, especially at the pupetto beach club which was 10/10!
Cecilia S — Google review
Beautiful hotel, great view and location! Helpful porters to get your bags and bring them back to dock. Room furnishings a little dated but very clean. Air conditioning also worked really well and room came equipped with a steamer which was really helpful as most hotels don’t have irons for you to use.
Melissa J — Google review
The hotel was perfect. Location couldn’t have been better. We were greeted right when we got off the boat and our luggage was taken to the hotel for us. It was only a 5 minute walk. Our room was ready early so right after we had a light lunch we were able to change and enjoy the beach. Beach area was so perfect. Service of food and drinks at our lounge chairs was constant. We walked to beautiful restaurants every night. (Uphill) The hotel was super clean. My only complaint is that the lobby bathroom should be for hotel guests only. Every time we came up to use there was a line of beach goers using the bathroom. Several times I had to walk back to my room. A perfect place to stay!

I visited La Serra, attracted by its Michelin star reputation, and I was thoroughly impressed. The location offers breathtaking views of the coast and Positano. While the restaurant decor may be a bit dated, it initially appeared bright and lacking in romance, almost resembling a hospital. However, once the attentive and polished staff began their service, it transformed into an inviting setting with dimmed lights. The tasting menu showcased each course with meticulous attention to detail and superb presentation.
Fantastic in every way! The service is phenomenal. Everyone was warm, inviting and friendly. The food was top notch. The dishes were beautifully plated. And the full moon coming over the water made it all magical. Unforgettable experience. Everything you would expect at a Michelin star restaurant.

Went here one night to celebrate our honeymoon. Sadly it was my fault because I booked it for night time so the view on the balcony was pretty you could only see the buildings lit at night time. Next time I would want to book during the day. We did the 6 course tasting menu and it was delicious. We were able to customize what dishes we would have because of my husbands nut allergy. Each dish was unique and amazing. I loved the pasta dishes and the homemade bread. The customer service was 10/10 as well as the hostess. My husband also did the wine pairing and the sommelier was informational and outgoing! My favorite was the desserts they gave us. Highly recommend this place!
Jade R — Google review
We reserved this restaurant based on its overall reviews, views of Positano and Michelin star rating. It did not disappoint! Located in the beautiful Hotel Le Agavi, the service, views, and food were all excellent. We celebrated our anniversary which made the ambiance and views even more amazing!
Monica B — Google review
Tried La Serra based on its Michelin star and was not disappointed. The location is breathtaking with views looking down to the coast and Positano. The restaurant decor is a bit older. Upon sitting inside it was bright and not very romantic at first, almost seemed like a hospital. But once the staff began the dining experience it was first class and impeccable. They eventually dimmed the lights and it became a much more inviting setting. The staff is attentive and polished. Each course of the tasting menu was well thought out with great attention to detail and superb presentation. Hands down the best dinner we had in Positano.

Wonderful location overlooking the bay. Service was exceptional. The food was very good. The chef surprised us with lots of samplings and tastings. Highly recommended

La Serra made our anniversary in Positano unforgettable. The staff was warm, welcoming, and kindly spoke English. We had the seafood tasting menu with wine pairing—every course was exceptional, and the sommelier’s knowledge and presentation were outstanding. The view from the dining room was absolutely breathtaking, and the team even helped arrange transport back afterward. A perfect evening in every way!
Erin R — Google review
Service: The staff were standoffish and pushy, hovering to take our order before we had even looked at the menu. They continued to push the tasting menu despite our clear preference to share à la carte. Several staff members stood around watching guests’ every move, creating an uncomfortable environment. Despite so many staff waiting idly, service dropped off considerably once we ordered. Ambience: The space felt cold and uninviting – bright overhead lights, teal floors, and a few awkwardly spaced tables in the center made it resemble a cafeteria more than a restaurant. The room had an echo that only heightened the lack of warmth or atmosphere. With harsh lighting reflecting off the glass windows, there was no view to enjoy – only glare. View (or lack thereof): When we asked to sit outside on a clear, mild evening (around 65°F / 18°C), we were told the terrace was closed for the winter (early October). Given that other nearby restaurants had outdoor seating open with blankets or heaters, this seemed more like a choice of convenience than necessity. Food: The food was fine but unremarkable. The menu sounded more creative than what was actually served, and none of the dishes stood out. Prices were reasonable for Positano, but the overall experience was disappointing. I would not recommend dining here, even for those staying at the hotel.
Caroline W — Google review
The food, service, and view are excellent. There are several tasting menus to choose from as well as à la carte and the wine list is well conceived and well priced. The entrance to the restaurant is a bit strange, as it is a hotel and the restaurant is down one floor from the lobby. Unfortunately, there was no one to greet us when we arrived, but we found our way. The one issue we had was the room itself. While the view is incomparable, the decor is dated and a bit sterile. Feels more like a wedding hall than a Michelin star restaurant. Once the tables filled in, it was a bit warmer, but the room could really stand a makeover. Food has a decidedly French flair and everything was perfectly cooked, perfectly served, and beautifully explained. Overall very enjoyable.

Perched on the Amalfi cliffside, Le Sirenuse is a luxurious retreat in the heart of Positano. With 58 rooms and suites featuring lemon-scented terraces and private balconies, guests can enjoy breathtaking views of Positano and the coastline.
Amazing Hotel. We stayed here in 2022 for our 10th wedding anniversary. I didn’t want to leave the hotel. The room was great, stylish and comfortable. Amazing views. Service is outstanding and comparable to other 5 starts hotels we have stayed. I loved the food, the pool and drinks. Hotel staff is very attentive and we’re always ready to help us coordinating activities. We rented a scooter to explore the coast, spent time in the pool and enjoyed the restaurant. Very recommended if you want to splurge. It’s a little bit overpriced.

Location, location, location. Amazing views of Positano and great service, that's why it costs so much to stay here. The food, the wine and everything else cost more than the other hotels but hey, it's a status symbol as well. The restaurant food was amazing, catch if the day was a home run. Reservations are definitely required. If you can afford it, try it. Live music by the two elder gentlemen who went from table to table was a nice touch as well.

Our recent 5-night stay at Le Sirenuse was nothing short of extraordinary—truly the best experience of our lives. We chose this iconic hotel to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff made us feel not just like guests, but like family. Every detail, from the immaculate rooms to the breathtaking views of Positano, reflected perfection. The dining experience was unforgettable—delicious cuisine paired with world-class service in one of the most romantic settings imaginable. What makes Le Sirenuse truly exceptional, though, is the level of care and hospitality. I honestly don’t think there’s better service anywhere in the world. They anticipated our every need, made us feel celebrated, and created memories we’ll cherish forever. If you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, Le Sirenuse is the place. Simply magical.

An absolutely unbelievable stay during our honeymoon. This was the most special property we’ve ever stayed at with the kindest, most hospitable people. A special thank you to Vincenzo and Giovanni who took such great care of us and deeply cared about ensuring our stay was perfection. Our stay was exceptional. From the moment we arrived to when we left, the front desk team and all the staff were amazing. I have never been anywhere this good in terms of genuine personal service. Antonio in the concierge was outstanding. As was the great team at breakfast and in La Sponda. A huge thank you to everyone.

One of our most unforgettable hotel stays. I initially booked a Classic Sea View room, which didn’t include the iconic Positano panorama of the sparkling sea and pastel houses cascading down the cliffside. When I asked the front desk if this was the case for all rooms in that category, the hotel manager graciously upgraded us to a Deluxe Sea View room. The room was beautifully appointed—elegant, spotless, and fitted with a luxurious all-marble bathroom. Each morning, we enjoyed breakfast on the pool terrace, taking in the same postcard-perfect view of Positano that dreams are made of. From start to finish, the staff treated us like royalty. Truly an exceptional experience we will never forget.

I absolutely loved every single aspect of my stay here. It is one of the best hotels I have ever been to in my life. However, the ONLY reason I cannot give it 5 stars is because the mattress was terribly stiff and uncomfortable. Every night a limb would go numb and my sleep scores were really very bad. I would do some research into the mattresses the Dorchester Collection uses for their hotels (the one at the Principe Savoi in Milan was fantastic). That is my only piece of feedback, thank you!

This restaurant is one of the best in Positano, and the food is superb. The views are also excellent; with both the harbor and the hills surrounding town visible from some of the tables, it's a great place to have dinner. The service is very good, too.
Had an amazing dinner here with a lovely view of the Positano hillside. The bartender made excellent cocktails and the wait staff were so friendly. We had the catch of the day which was sea-bass and it was the best I have ever had (prepared table side) chefs kiss!

One of the best dining experiences we’ve had during our month-long trip through Europe. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond with thoughtful touches like a clip for my bag and tidying crumbs between courses. They were also mindful of my partner’s gluten-free needs, which we really appreciated. Delicious food, amazing pornstar martini, and a beautiful view. We were even offered a small complimentary treat at the end. Service was outstanding across all staff — we left feeling genuinely impressed. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

My wife and I had a great time dining at D'Aiello. The service was fantastic. We really felt taken care of and the chef even gave us a pastry with chocolate after our dinner, free of charge. My wife got the lobster linguine and I got the fried calamari and shrimp. Both plates were delicious. For drinks, I got the special martini for that night and my wife got the limoncello spritz 👌🏼 we highly recommend trying them out if you are in Positano.

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, which was a nice contrast to the hectic town, and the service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

It is a restaurant located inside the hotel on the 2nd floor. Atmosphere was modern, neat, quite and the service was great. Food was delicious. Vongole had mild smooth taste with tender noodle. Seabass grill was also good with top freshness. Overall food were not salty pursuing natural taste which was good for us. A bit of salt can make your dish more delightful. Price was a bit at higher side, but considering the area or region, was acceptable if you don’t think too much.

I don’t think the food was anything special. From the starter bread to the entrees. I think the best part of the meal was the little cookie they gave us at the end. Not a bad meal, but not an outstanding one. The mini meatball as an amuse bousche was very… Interesting, haha.

Fantastic lunch spot after a day at the beach. Took 9 and 11 year old with us. Italian sandwiches, pizza slices, arancini and fantastic desserts. The lemon sorbet inside a lemon is to die for. My son loved the kinder ice cream. Reasonably priced for Positano and cool vibe.

Great place however it is a little messy - toilet uncleaned (the seat has been removed!), floor dirty and prices are high. In spite of this, the drinks and food are very nice and refreshing (small portions for drinks though!) Moreover, there is live sport and a great view of the sea and mountain (but trees do block some of the view)

Pupetto Beach Club Positano offers a refreshing escape from the summer heat in Positano, with its access to the Tyrrhenian Sea. While Marina Grande Beach provides private areas for rental, there's also a free section where visitors can lay out their towels and enjoy the stunning rocky shore views. A short walk from Marina Grande leads to this local beach, where sunbeds can be rented and beachside lunches savored at Pupetto or La Marinella.
We loved this beach club so much we went 2 times! Perfect spot on the sea where it isn't so packed with the public beach. We booked online but you can also show up and they'll get you a spot. The service was great and the food was good for a beach club. Everything was reasonably priced compared to everywhere in Positano. One thing to note, the beach is a black sand and rocky beach so definitely bring water proof shoes to wear into the water or for walking around so you don't hurt the bottom of your feet. We would 1000% go back here if we visit Positano agian!

We showed up this morning for the beach club and were turned away due to light rain forecasted today. Their official website says “if it rains..be happy” so we did not think anything of it. When we arrived after spending money on the ferry from Sorrento, they told us we could only change the day. We walked pretty far from the port and up a moderate hill to just be turned away. He insisted that we had to change our day which we did. But we refuse to go back as we will have to take up another day and spend more money on the Ferry. We ended up going to another beach club on the same beach that accepted us with no reservation. The rain stopped within one hour and we enjoyed the rest of our day. Very disappointed with this whole experience as it is the end of our trip and we were very excited.

By far the best value beach club in Positano. A hidden gem on Fornillo Beach that I really shouldn’t be telling people about, so it doesn’t get “found”. The beach is quiet and spotlessly clean and a lovely, scenic (stairless) 8 min walk from the main Positano beach and ferry dock. The food and drinks are delicious and reasonably priced. The service is super friendly and not at all pretentious. Berny in particular looked after us so well all week and was fantastic for a chat while always making sure our every need was attended to. Made us feel very special and looked after during our time there.

Spent two weeks in Positano, ate at over 20 different restaurants, this place has by far the best pizza. We ate lunch here basically every other day. It was a great spot to go to when hanging on the beach. We tried all different items on their menu, everything we got was delicious. You have to try the Positano pizza. That was my absolute favorite. Great service, friendly staff and great views.

Came here for our second year in a row and as usual Pupetto never disappoints. Staying at Hotel Pupetto/Hotel Vittoria also gets you a discount on the beds so always worth a look at that. The service is always great - hailing down a waiter isn't the easiest but they never forget your order, they're prompt, efficient and above all very polite. Mr Nicolo even remembered us from our previous visits and adhered to our constant needs for extra ice with every order. He and his colleagues were brilliant. The food is pricey but isn't bad - and after reading countless other reviews mentioning an array of issues that have nothing to do with the beach club at all, I'm irritated that the negative reviews ruin a decently run beach club. Definitely one of the better beach clubs, and anyone complaining about price needs to reevaluate their bank accounts and where they are in the world. Everything here costs.

My husband and I had an amazing day at Pupetto beach club! The service was excellent. We started our day having an early lunch at their food service area overlooking the ocean. The food was fresh and we enjoyed everything we ordered. We then rented two chairs and an umbrella and spent a beautiful time at Fornillo beach. The servers would round frequently and my husband and I ordered Aperol Spritz, Daiquiris, Mai Tais and French fries. Overall, this beach was less crowded and was nicer than the main beach in Positano. The bathrooms inside were extremely clean and conveniently close. I would recommend Pupetto Beach Club to anyone visiting Positano!!

Pupetto Beach Club offers a relaxing escape by the sea, perfectly capturing a laid-back coastal vibe. The atmosphere is beautifully gray and understated, complementing the natural surroundings and creating a serene space to unwind. The drink menu is impressive, and I must say the Hugo Spritz was the star of our experience—refreshing and perfectly balanced, it was just what we needed to sip while soaking in the sea views. For our meal, we decided to try the grilled sea bream (orata a la griglia), and it was nothing short of amazing. The fish was incredibly fresh, flaky, and cooked to perfection. It was a beautiful reminder that sometimes the best meals are the simplest. Overall, Pupetto Beach Club is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy good food and drinks in a beautiful seaside setting. I can’t wait to return!

The Wine Shop Positano Vini e Panini is a charming delicatessen and minimarket located along the steps leading to the Duomo. It's a great spot to savor freshly made Italian sandwiches, known as panini, filled with typical ingredients like prosciutto, mozzarella, tomatoes, and pesto. Visitors can grab a sandwich to go and enjoy it on the beach or while admiring Positano's splendid views.
Very reasonably priced for Positano. Mozzarella and tomato decently sized focaccia for €6, with prosciutto is weight based and mine was €9. Delicious and fresh!! Highly recommend. Plus reasonably priced soft drinks and great wines in store too.

Great sandwiches but the prosciutto is simply not up to my taste buds. Loved it with tomatoes and mozzarella tho!!!! Really big and filling portions as well

After trying the first sandwich here I think I had 4-5 more in the next 3 days during our stay! I even got one prior to leaving on the ferry because they were that darn good! It’s a great market that has everything to prep to start your day and the location is convenient for a quick stop in before catching a ferry. When I get back home from vacation I will be dreaming about No.1 sandwich pictured below!

A great shop. One of the staff members took his time to ask about the types of wine we liked and make recommendations. He gave us some history about the wines and helped us to make a decision. We really appreciated his help and expertise. We were so happy with the two wines we left with.

You must get a panini from this little shop if you are in Positano. The staff are lovely and make the most delicious sandwiches with any fresh toppings you would like! I would recommend their prosciutto or spicy salami with mozzarella.

Thankful we found this place on our day trip to Positano. The majority of restaurants seemed overpriced but this place offers great paninis at a reasonable price. Ingredients and bread are high quality, loved it.

This place is amazing. My wife and I had lunch here to go before the beach two days in a row. The prosciutto, mozzarella, tomato, basil, pesto, & balsamic panini is really amazing. The line can be a bit long but it moved faster than you think. Second day we had about 15 people in-front of us and it only took 10 minutes to order. Well worth the wait. Get a sandwich and a beer and find a good spot near the water. Love that it’s also family run!

Pasticceria Buca di Bacco is a charming pastry and ice cream parlor nestled along Positano's inner road. It's the perfect spot to savor an espresso or cappuccino paired with delectable croissants filled with cream and black cherry. Indulge in homemade cakes, including the renowned Delizia al Limone and sfogliatella, typical desserts of the Amalfi coast. Their assortment of cream and fruit ice creams is equally delightful.
Such a charming and vibrant place! The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were super friendly. I tried the caramel ice cream and it was absolutely delicious — totally worth the boat ride from Sorrento. Highly recommend stopping by!

My husband and I visited 2x during our stay in July. The Italian heat is serious so it was nice to find a place where we could cool down and enjoy our coffee with a treat. Service was great, place was very clean, espresso was strong, pistachio cannoli was amazing as well as the tiramisu and its in a great location. We will return!

Cafe Positano is a long-standing venue known for its breakfast and seafood dishes, offering tables with stunning views overlooking the sea. Located along the main road in Positano, it's advisable to make reservations in advance due to its popularity. The restaurant offers a variety of fresh juices and smoothies, allowing customers to customize their orders. While the seating arrangement could be improved, the food receives high praise, particularly the Zucchini Flowers and traditional Fettuccine Alfredo.
We were able to walk in with a group of 5 and be seated in less than 10 minutes. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious, I had the carbonara and it did not disappoint. I also tried a platter of mixed grilled seafood, which was fresh like everything had been caught that morning. The desserts were also amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely outstanding! 10/10 food, ambience, & service. We ended up coming 3 nights in a row because we loved it so much and they gave us free champagne. The staff was so extremely kind. Will recommend to everyone! Cesare salad is incredible! We also had the fettuccine Alfredo, lasagna, bolognese, and ravioli! Absolutely loved them all.

The two pasta dishes I ordered, as shown in the picture, are both very delicious and authentic. The grilled sea bass is full of flavor. The vegetable salad, however, is not tasty. I recommend this cafe.

Cafe Positano is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and a view that takes your breath away. The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant—perfect for a leisurely breakfast or a smoothie break with a view. The flavors here are simply delicious. Their smoothies are fresh, flavorful, and perfectly blended. I also have to rave about the toast—crispy, hearty, and topped with just the right ingredients. Every bite felt like a little celebration of good taste. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff are attentive, friendly, and genuinely care about your experience. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Cafe Positano makes you feel right at home. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy great food, stunning views, and top-notch hospitality!

Positano Cafe has a beautiful view of the city that makes it a lovely place to relax and dine. The food was very good — I had a steak with mushroom sauce that was cooked nicely, and the chicken with mushroom was also great. The wait was a bit longer than expected, and unfortunately one of the servers/hosts didn’t treat us very well. Thankfully, the manager stepped in, showed excellent professionalism, and even brought us a complimentary glass of champagne to make up for the situation. That gesture really turned things around and left us with a positive impression. Overall, a good spot with tasty food and a stunning view.

We stopped by tonight for a light supper. There was no decent wine by the glass so we ordered the house red, which was garbage but we drank it anyway. I ordered a grilled vegetable plate: not rocket science— it was terrible. They did not season the vegetables at all before cooking them. The bolognese was decent- not amazing. And they charged us for the vegetables which were mostly uneaten.

Il Fornillo was one of the highlights of our honeymoon in Positano. The ambience was stunning with gorgeous flowers, warm lighting, and sunset views right outside that made the evening feel magical. The service was exceptional. And the food? Even better. We loved everything we ordered from the ravioli, bolognese, and even the french fries were top quality (reminded me of McDonalds french fries but 10x better). Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. A must-visit if you're looking for an incredible dinner in Positano!

Skip Michellin restaurants, they are overrated, II Fornillo is the best restaurant. We tried others but we decided to come back here, the food is so good, authentic and every bite is just yummy. Carbonate, carpacio, mozzarella, everything is just the best! The owners are a nice family , grandmother, mother, sons and nephews. The owner Margarita is an adorable lady with a tru italian vibe, bossing people around but at the same time she offered us a great italian experience and hospitality. Her son Alessandro handles The Gasparina, where we stayed, this guy is going above and beyond to make tou feel comfortable. Nephew Lorenzo was an amazing server who made us feel special. I truly recommend this place for the food,it's amazing, for it's people and for an italian experience. It overlooks the cliff and it has a lot of flowers which makes it look like it's in the nature. Other places seems more tourists.

El Fornillo is a beautiful, low-key spot away from the main Positano crowds, and the food was genuinely excellent, fresh and full of flavor. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. It wasn’t rushed, but definitely inattentive. The busboys in particular seemed annoyed by our presence, which made us feel unwelcome despite being paying guests. Go for the food and peaceful setting, but don’t expect warm hospitality.

We enjoyed our final night in Positano at Ristorante C'Era Una Volta, conveniently located just a quick two-minute walk from our Airbnb. It was the perfect choice to cap off our stay. The restaurant offered lovely views, great pasta dishes, and a charmingly quaint, traditional atmosphere that felt authentically Italian. The service was bustling due to the busy evening, but the staff did a commendable job keeping up with all the occupied tables, staying attentive and friendly despite the rush. Overall, we had a delightful dinner experience here and would happily recommend this cozy restaurant to anyone looking for tasty food, good views, and a warm, traditional vibe in Positano. Thanks for a wonderful last evening!

Don’t miss this place! Our Airbnb was close by and we came here 3 different times. We couldn’t believe it wasn’t more crowded because the food was so much better than other places we visited in Positano (and more affordable). The Capricciosa pizza was so good we got it twice. The tiramisu with espresso was so light and tasty. The beautiful view was the icing on the cake. We hope to come back someday ❤️

Lovely restaurant above Positano. We arrived at around 8 on a Sunday evening, late in the season but we're made very welcome, and we're well looked after throughout the evening. We were both quite tired and fancied something straightforward so I opted for the steak and chips, while my wife had pizza. Both were absolutely spot on and the steak was cooked beautifully. Maybe it was the half carafe of wine but it was one of the best evenings out in Positano that week. Also... Given that the restaurant is up in Chiesa Nuova, the prices are very reasonable by comparison to down at the big beach. Definitely worth the walk up a couple of steps.

Our accommodation in Positano was very close to this restaurant that is how we stumbled across it - thank god! It was such a blessing, we dined here 3 times in 3 days and every meal was delicious! And the service was lovely ☺️ My partner was so happy with the food and vibe he insisted on coming here every day, I was super happy as they were kind enough to accommodate a fussy vegan I even bought my own cheese and borrowed a grater 🙏 I had homemade pasta with tomato sauce and mushrooms it was nice to have the option of soft homemade pasta that wasn’t made with animal products I highly recommend this restaurant Thank you so much to the wait staff and the kitchen staff we really appreciate your service 😋 yum!

Such a great value for the quality of food. Just as good as any meal you can have in lower Positano at half the prices. Maybe even better. See that steak? 20 euro. See that pizza? 3 euro. Both 10/10. Service is amazing and they make you feel at home.

This is one of the best restaurants we’ve eaten at on our Amalfi Coast trip. Family run, home cooked and you don’t walk out with bill shock ! My partner is strict vegan and they were beautifully accommodating and have pastas made without egg and they just basically cooked to order for her ! If you’re vegan or have a vegan partner you know how hard this can be. We ate here three times in three days and would have been more but they were closed for one of the days 🙂 Loved it 😀

Known for its exceptional seafood dishes, this family-owned establishment provides a warm and authentic dining experience. Visitors can enjoy expansive ocean views while savoring delicious meals, including stuffed pasta and wood-fired oven pizzas.
The food was absolutely delicious. Our service was fantastic. We had that delicious pasta and a margarita pizza. We ordered the veggie plate and put that on the pizza and it was out of this world. I also had their house salad. It was huge and delicious. Their homemade bread was fantastic. We also shared one of their made in-house teramisu and it was so delicious .At the end of our meal they surprised us with a limoncello shot. It was so good and they told us they make it there. It's homemade. The cloth napkins and tablecloths and the beautiful view creates a beautiful ambiance. 5 stars, and a million! I also have to compliment the restaurant for providing a shuttle service that picked this up from our hotel. He was a marvelous driver navigating the narrow roads.
Elaine S — Google review
Our driver from a previous trip recommended this restaurant several times and even arranged the booking for us. One great perk is their free shuttle service to and from the hotels. The view from the restaurant is absolutely stunning, and the food did not disappoint — the beef steak was especially juicy and full of flavor. However, the customer service leaves much to be desired and could use significant improvement. Even though we had a booking and the driver who dropped us off clearly mentioned where we were coming from, no one made the effort to acknowledge us or let us know they needed time to seat us. Staff walked past us several times without a word, which made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

🌄😂 Just trekked to Da Constantino Ristorante—okay, not really, but skipping the taxi felt like a mountain climb in Positano! The food has a homemade vibe, though it’s pretty average—pizza crust was thin but burnt, the steak was meh, and the dessert was a shocker: $10 for a scoop of ice cream, plus lemon and chocolate cake that screamed store-bought. It was a bit let down. Still, the view from the highest point is unbeatable! Overall, it’s just average at best, but hey, you’re here for the scenery, not the menu. 🌞

If I can give this beautiful family owned restaurant 10 stars across the board I would! We traveled to MANY places on this vacation and by far this was the top of our list. I have to revise the feedback. We went back three times in total two dinners and one lunchtime spent a lot of money there cause it was close by. They are rude. The last night we were there for dinner we ordered food and suddenly the waiter lost interest and disappeared on us. Didn’t get a refill on anything didn’t get any attention of any kind. He was serving other tables and ignoring us I had to beg for a napkin he acted like he was bothered didn’t get a check. I had to go and ask the manager for it and on top of that we never got to order dessert. I mentioned to the Owner that was there that I left him a really nice review on Google and he rolled his eyes obviously he didn’t care. I guess it’s an American thing. The only thing good about that restaurant is the view. They are overpriced, understaffed and very rude. I would never go back there again.

La Taverna Del Leone in Italy offers a superb dining experience, serving a menu that embodies simplicity executed flawlessly. The meal commences with a complimentary broccoli slice, which may seem basic but is incredibly delicious and light. The main course features mixed vegetables cooked to perfection - if only I could replicate this at home! While the truffle taglialinni pasta is good, the locally sourced Tuna steals the show as the highlight of the evening.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A true gem near Positano! This restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip. Just a 5-minute drive from Positano, it’s a family-run place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with love. Nothing fancy — just honest, delicious Italian cooking at very fair prices. Me and my family only went to the restaurant one of the nights we were staying in Positano, but I have to assume that the rooms are as incredible as our experience was. To start off, we got PICKED UP in a car at 7:30 and the driver arrived at 7:32 and apologized for being “late”. He was extremely friendly and warm. When we got to the actual restaurant, we were given lion stuffed animals as the menu, which my daughter enjoyed very much, and I thought was a very clever and cute touch, given the title of the restaurant in English is the lion’s tavern. Our initial server was very nice and gave us very good attention and seemed to be only focusing on us and making sure we were comfortable. He helped us with wine pairing for our tasting menu, and let my daughter make her own custom tasting menu, too! I thought this was a very flexible and welcoming action of him that made me enjoy the experience even more. The tasting menu was PHENOMENAL and so was my daughter’s penne pasta. We especially like the lobster ravioli and cheesecake for dessert. Just an overall wonderful and warm experience, and every bite of food was beyond words. Great job, staff!!!

Without a doubt this was the best Italian food my group had across our trip over the Amalfi coast (and trust me, we went to some nice places on the Michelin guide). Not only was the menu varied and appetising (pasta, pizza, seafood, dessert, wine list), they had plenty of vegetarian options to choose from unlike many other restaurants. We also had outstanding service for our party size of 9. Major shout-out to Tony, Giuseppe and Indu for accommodating all our needs. They also had the most comfortable baby seat we'd used. Parking outside the restaurant is free and made a nice change from paying €€€ at parking lots. Seriously could not recommend this place more, if you're staying around the Amalfi coast you must go here!

We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant! The tasting menu was so fun and the staff was very clear in explaining what we would be enjoying, making sure we were on board. Servers were very attentive and noticed small details - bringing a great beer recommendation to the table as well as sharing the caviar can when we ask questions about it. Very nice and highly professional team.

Hidden Gem in Positano If you are visiting Positano, do not miss this beautiful and exquisite dining experience. Although the location may not be ideal for walking, it’s absolutely worth the journey. To our surprise, we were even offered a driver back to Positano at the end of our meal. La Taverna de Leone in Positano is a true gem. From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by its intimate, detailed atmosphere that felt both cozy and elegant. The food was exceptional, with highlights including the lobster ravioli and an unforgettable cheesecake. The service was outstanding. Our server went above and beyond, even recommending that my stepdaughter have half-portions of dishes to create a custom tasting menu, which we hadn’t even asked for. This thoughtful gesture allowed her to enjoy the experience alongside the adults in a way we hadn’t expected, and it really made the meal special. The wine pairing was another highlight. Instead of removing some of the wines we had chosen, our server gave me half glasses of each, so I could still enjoy every wine without feeling rushed. It was a small touch that made the tasting menu feel even more personalized and enjoyable. We were also pleasantly surprised with a free ride from our hotel to the restaurant, saving us the trouble of booking an Uber. Watching the organized kitchen in action was a treat, and overall, it was a flawless experience. If we could, we’d go back every night. Highly recommended!

Although we had some doubts before our trip, from the moment we stepped inside we were warmly welcomed. Their hospitality made us feel as if we were staying at a family friend’s home. Learning that this is a lovely family-run place made us even happier. Our room was clean and very spacious, with a terrace overlooking Positano’s forest and mountain views. There was even a sunbathing area on the terrace, which we truly enjoyed. We couldn’t resist the delicious smells coming from the restaurant and decided to have dinner one evening; it was so good that we returned the next night as well. The pasta, pizza, and tiramisu were all excellent, and their own espresso blend was simply unforgettable. The menu presentation and content served by Lion were truly remarkable. It didn’t surprise us at all when we later found out they are listed in the Michelin Guide 2025. They also helped us a lot with information about transportation, beaches, and food options in and around Positano. We already knew Positano was a romantic destination, but thanks to this lovely family we had an unforgettable holiday together as a couple. Many thanks to Giuseppe and his family. ☺️ We look forward to coming back!

It is located on the 4th floor of Hotel Posa Posa and you get a great view with a great meal. The octopus was amazing and the carbonara was better than any carbonara I had tried in Rome or Sardinia. It is fairly priced and the wait staff was so kind. Would highly recommend this restaurant if visiting positano.

Believe me when I say this was one of the best meals of my life. Antonio our server was kind, attentive and funny! The meal was delicious, I had the scialatielle with seafood which was incredible. It’s a bit of a walk up from the positano beach but completely worth it for just the view alone!

We reserved this restaurant based on its overall reviews, views of Positano and prior Michelin star rating. It did not disappoint! Located in the PosaPosa Hotel, the service, views, and food were all excellent. The ambiance and views were also amazing!

I loved this place. Perfect atmosphere and not so touristy. They gave us complimentary champagne for our wedding anniversary, which made the evening feel extra special. The food was delicious, the service was warm and attentive, and overall it was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic and memorable dining experience.

What an incredible experience!! We had the best dinner of our trip here! Not only was the food excellent and the view spectacular but our waiter, Max, made our night!! Between his humor, wit and stellar recommendations we could not have scripted a better evening! I could not recommend this place more highly!! 3 - 0 MAX!!!

Great view of Positano. Food was well presented but was lacking in depth of flavour. The seafood pasta was cooked al denté. The octopus with potato sauce was interesting combination. The risotto was lacking texture but the yolk crisp adds a new flavour profile to the dish. We paired our meal with a local red wine from positano, as per waiter’s recommendations. A bit of a trek from the main roads of positano but you gain from the perks of the restaurant being less crowded.

Chic seaside venue for pizza, seafood & fish on a terrace, plus a beach bar for cocktails.
Visiting Positano deserves a lunch by the seaside, and this is the right place, nicely located by the beach, with very kind service. There are very good recipes and Neapolitan style pizza is very tasty. The sommelier will help with selecting the right wine. The price is right

The ravioli was delicious and lobster was good. The pizza was also great but you need to eat it right away or it gets soggy from all of the toppings. We received 15% off since we booked an umbrella and day bed with them as well.

(This is a review for the beach club, not the restaurant) Convenient access to the beach and basic amenities (sunbeds, umbrella, wifi, toilets/changing rooms), but the price (€30 per person) felt high for a 2nd row spot.

Great views of the beach, however EXPENSIVE. 25€ for the average pasta and it was a very small portion, was not even offered any cheese to go on top. The taste was nothing special. €7 for a small coffee. It has a nice atmosphere but not worth the price of the food. They had added a 'cover charge' of 4€ which they had stated was paid across Italy for the napkins and glasses etc, however I have not seen It on any other bill.

Pizza was amazing! Place is also a bit outside of crowded area, so you’ll have a bit of a breather. Overall yes it’s pricey but if you are coming to this area, you are basically giving consent to be overcharged, so do not complain about prices.

We paid 90 €euros to sit in the 1st line to have the beach view first hand and in the picture you will see what we got and the staff couldn't do anything because the beach is public. So don't pay and sit for free and you will have the same view that I paid for 90€ euros. And the 90 € didn't include free shower. You had to pay .50 cents. What a fraud. Don't do it.

We had an amazing experience at L’Incanto! The pizza was absolutely delicious — perfectly crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and full of flavor. The wine selection paired beautifully with our meal, and the service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of charm — the kind of place you just don’t want to leave. So glad we got in early after they opened. The place filled up very quickly and we were not rushed to leave.

My husband and I recently spent a week in Positano and L'incanto became our favourite place to grab a drink or a bite to eat. The restaurant is located across the promenade from the beach. We first tried it out because of the 15% off coupon we received when renting two beach chairs. We are so happy we did! Every meal we tried was absolutely delicious. Thank you to the chef! The absolute best part of L'incanto is without a doubt the staff! Vincenzo, Antonella and Vani always greeted us with a smile. I can't possibly express how wonderful Momo and Renato were to us. Renato would help us with our Italian as well as drink suggestions to pair with our food. He never failed to make us happy. Momo made us feel like royalty with each visit. Thank you to everyone at L'incanto for helping to make our time in Positano so memorable.
