Nice and very professional place, food was good, portions were very generous. We’ve took local fish, and it was bland, i would expect something better from a restaurant on a lake. Soups were great and this i could clearly recommend. Wedding soup is just jam. Service is just wonderful, I wouldn’t expect any less. Food was served fast and precise. With smiles and “good vibes”. Although the place was pretty crowded. We were still able to enjoy conversation without neighbors

Visited the restaurant twice. The service was very good; professional, fast and attentive. Most of the dishes we ate were good. Some more than others. All were big portions. Only had an issue with a dessert that we didn't like. Another problem is that you can't pay with two credit cards. Can't imagine what happens when there're many people at a table. Another plus for their credit is that they have menus in English.

A traditional restaurant and cafe, with warm and nice ambience, overlooking the lake and offering great views. The gulaș soup and the black forest cake that we tried were excellent but the coffee was rather mediocre. The prices are to the expensive side but it is after all it's a very touristic place.

The food was ok. We got two schnitzels with fries, pretty standard. The beer was good as well. Even though I could see the service a bit slow, I think the waiter who served us was very nice and welcoming and the food was served very fast. For a touristic restaurant it's good.

We were able to find halal (alcohol free) black forest cake here. Most of the staff spoke English. Kitchen was closed when we arrived so we only had cake and coffee

I recently visited Restaurant Pferdestall in Titisee-Neustadt with a group of friends, and we had an enjoyable experience. The location is lovely, and the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal. Food: • Italian Veg Margarita Pizza: I ordered the Veg Margarita Pizza, and it was simple yet delicious. The crust was perfectly baked with a good balance of cheese and sauce, making it a light and flavorful option for vegetarians. • Tiramisu (Dessert): For dessert, I had a slice of Tiramisu, which was rich and creamy with a delightful coffee flavor. The dusting of cocoa on top and the smooth layers made it a memorable finish to the meal. It even came with a small Italian flag, which was a nice touch! (See the image above for reference). • Chicken Pasta with White Sauce (Friend’s Order): One of my friends ordered the Chicken Pasta, and the white sauce was creamy and seasoned just right. The chicken was tender, and it was a filling dish overall. • Beer (Friend’s Drink): Another friend enjoyed a beer from the extensive selection. It paired well with the meal and was a great complement to the food. • Pizza (Friend’s Order): Another friend ordered a pizza, which featured a crispy base and flavorful toppings. • Fries: The fries were crispy and golden, a nice accompaniment to the pizza. Avoid at all cost. We had dinner on September 23, 2025, and were served a soup that has soured. When we told the waiter, he just took our plates away and brought us a totally different soup. Obviously, they wanted to get rid of leftovers and didn't even check whether the soup was safe to eat, before serving it. There were no apologies, no discount. I felt very bad at night after eating the spoiled soup. It is really dangerous. Don't go there!!

We had to wait for quite a while to get our food. The arrabiata sauce didn't taste like tomatoes at all, and the Jägerschnitzel was dry. Also, it was way too expensive for the quality we got. Go to a different resturant if you value good food and service.

The staff are friendly, helpful and have a nice attitude however the restaurant is outdated and could use some maintenance in the decoration and organization of things. For food my friend had the turkey which she enjoyed however my steak was not at best, it was seasoned well but the steak itself was much more chewy than I had anticipated, I personally could not finish the piece of steak. On the other hand, the fries served with the steak were delish and that I finished completely. I wanted to give the restaurant a 2.5 cause my friend really enjoyed her food and I loved the fries but there is no 0.5 on google..

The place is beautiful and the service was quick and in English 👍. When the carpaccio dish arrived, it was spoiled — to say the least. After two attempts to return the dish, they agreed to cancel it and apologized, but it wasn’t immediate. The pizzas were very good, as was the Bolognese pasta. Cold and fresh beer. Overall, very good.

It was a disappointing dinner in Restaurant Pfederstall after half-day walk around Titisee. The restaurant is huge and there are many waiters there. Ours was self-important, very busy and could speak only German, trying also imitate Italian (Buonasera, Prego, etc.). Wienier schnitzel was too hard to my taste, but pizza was quite good. As soon as the dinner was served, the waiter succesfully avoided our table. After quite a while we received a bill, which was shown on the tablet. You can only pay the bill in cash and no credit cards are accepted. The visit in this restaurant made me unhappy.

We were a group of 10 people. +The staff was really nice & welcoming. +/-Location: is very central in Titisee. The interiors are pretty old. +The pizzas were really delicious. -The schnitzels were a bit salty, so if you don‘t like salty food mention it beforehand. 2xschnitzel + 2 beers =approx 37 eur

Lesson for the day: Always carry a little cash! (Really? In 2025??) I was intrigued by the vastly varied reviews of this place. My pizza was excellent, and while service was less than effusive, it was reasonable in terms of attention and promptness. Though I found the prices to be on the high side - it’s a resort town! 🤷‍♂️ There was a huge sign near the door (in German) that stated “STOP! Wait to be seated!” There were maybe two other occupied tables at that point, but OK. What there was not, however, was a sign that said “credit card machine is broken!” Amazingly, I had exactly enough money in my pocket to pay the tab since I always pay with my phone, and only carry one credit card as back up when I travel. (ATM card was back in the hotel) Have no idea how what that would have panned out if I didn’t stick 20€ in my wallet that morning. 😅 Would have gone a solid four stars on the pizza, but this service glitch seems like sort of a big deal.

We stopped there for lunch. Food was delicious, but the highlight was the warm hospitality from the owners. The service was excellent and we even got some useful tips for our upcoming visit to Europa park. Would definitely visit again.

The food is really really good, i got the quattroformaggio pizza and the salmon penne pasta, a really good place to go… However I had a unpleasant experience with a waitress, when I asked for my table the lady gave me a rude face and just waved her finger in a “no” motion, didn’t even say a word, there was clearly plenty of free tables, about a minute later another waiter directed me to my table

Pork knuckle is average, the black forest cake is good. Service is not great. The restaurant is pretty cozy and clean though. Five stars for environment.

Our tour guide brought us here and we tried the pork knuckle and fish, both were average. The pork knuckle meat was tough and the fish tasted quite bland. The Black Forest cake, however, was good with a nice hint of rum.

Our Tour guide suggested this place for Black Forest cake. Lady who was serving was very rude, after seeing us sitting in a table came and put reserved board and gestured rudely to take other table. It took lot of time to give one cake. Even to take money it took almost 10 minutes. Again she pulled the card to swipe in machine. Even if the food is good and nice ambience I would not recommend to go as the service is pathetic.

The service is kind of rude, they are always in a hurry and you don't feel very welcomed, they closed the terrace when we were already seated so, we didn't saw the sign (was also just in german), so after a lots of no no, we just got inside and asked for the black forest and a sausage, was good but not great, is cherry season and the cake had barely any, less than 1/8 in the top and some I the middle of a layer. The place is beautiful but okayish at the best.

You can clearly taste thats a crowded tourist place. I suggest you go to the pizzaria there. The food wasnt very good and it wasnt cooked with love. Wasnt autentic that way. Sadly I didnt try the black forest cake. The only good thing was the friendly waitress. I cant recomend this place if you want german food.

We had no trouble finding the place, the waiters were very friendly, the food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. Pork knuckle is delicious, Sirloin quite good, but the gravy not tasty. Chicken schnitzel standard. Black forest standard. But the sight is very pretty to see or take photos.

Lovely place! We had the chicken burger, veg burger and pizza special and desserts. Everything was amazing and served quickly. This place deserves a higher rating for sure.

My burger was amazing but super huge it was hard to pick up and it had to much lettuce in it I think a little less lettuce would make it easier to pick up. Also me and Nick waited so long to get the check but I was trying to be patient! I would highly recommend this place!

A nice place to sit in and have coffee and cake while looking over to the Titissee lake. It does fall into the full touristic cafe, so have expectations on quality and prices accordingly. Staff is nice and helpful. Good selection of vegetarian and Flammkuchen if you are interested.

Incredibly rude service, the server yelled at my mother for putting our water bottle on the table (there were no signs that outside food or drinks aren't allowed) within moments of our entering. The food was bland, and the ravioli was clearly reheated and rubbery. Cake was doused in rum but still didn't taste moist or fresh.

Excellent food with good vegetarian options and their Blackforest cake was mouthwatering. You also get a beautiful view of the lake from the restaurant.

Loved them for the super black forest cake. It was super moist, freshly prepared- a good melt in the mouth. The interior is comfy and cozy. They have plenty of other cakes and breakfast options too.

Great little cafe serving Black Forest cake, and a decent amount of other small dishes and drinks. The Black Forest cake is so fluffy, so light - very different to what I’ve had elsewhere and very very fresh. A must try here. There is an English menu, so do ask for it - which I have included in the pictures, staff speak English very well here.

Nice Dutch Breakfast in here.. very generous with quantity. Cosy play very good desert choices and smily and helpful staff. However, the location is amazing and beautiful view, warm and clean and they provide a free WIFI for the gusts 🌹👍 Highly recommendable, take break and have a coffee.

Big choice of cakes, good coffee and friendly stuff. A piece of Schwarzwald was very tasty! Partial view on the lake from the terrace. My friend and I got very good impression of Cafe Becker, would come back and can definitely recommend.

10€ English breakfast, the beans were not right and the bread was mediocre. Guess this is a tourist spot and the workers don't care to provide good ingredients or friendly service. Also , the pastries and cakes looked dry. The waitress refused to give me a glass of tap water. The coffee was tasteless. Overall, not worth it nor would I recommend to anyone

Very friendly staff and delicious black forest cake!

We were at Cafe Becker for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We think it has a great price-performance ratio and the service was really considerate, fast and kind! Thanks for the great breakfast :) PS: unfortunately, we were too full to have cake after the breakfast so we didn’t try them, but they really look amazing!

This was our second time eating here. The service is great. We did not wait long for our food. The dishes we order were delicious. The deserts as well. The service was polite and efficient. They also have high chair for babies and diaper changing table downstairs.

We had a stopover at Titisee and saw crowds outside this place before it was opened at 12pm. We decided to give it a try. We were quickly showed a table inside by a nice lady waitress. We ordered potato soup , small salad, schnitzel to share. The food was served quite fast and they are very good. It’s worth the visit.

Honestly was not sure what to expect because Titisee is pretty touristy and all the restaurants in the area are a toss-up. But I saw Schnitzel on the menu here so we gave it a shot. We got a table quickly, but I'd recommend making a reservation if you're visiting on a summer weekend as it gets crowded. The service was really friendly and patient even with the tourists who didn't speak German. I got the Schnitzel on Spätzle and my date got a Flammkuchen with a Pfifferling soup on the side. The Schnitzel, while not traditional, was delectable. Paired with the cheesy spätzle it sat atop -- chef's kiss. My date also enjoyed her Flammkuchen, which I ate the last couple of slices of and also liked. We decided not to get dessert here because there were a lot of other places to try but I did see they had a few options on the menu. It's not right on the lake (so no lake view) and as mentioned you're a bit surrounded by the tourist crowds so the vibe suffers but the food and service really made up for it. Definitely recommend this place over others in the area, especially for the price!

The service is great, and there is a nice selection of meals. It can be busy during the season, but the food is worth the wait.

We ordered 3 schwarzwalder cakes and one tea. After a minute or two a middle aged woman came to say they only would serve the cake if we ordered drinks for everybody as well. Why would you try and force people to buy more? Now we didnt take anything and went somewere else.

Love the Feuerwehrkuchen (pie with blueberry and nuts and cream) would recommend this over the black forest cake. Coffee was still decent. Staff were also very attentive and checked up on me even when I was sitting alone in the small corner.

The cafe was good Me and my family (7) we ordered : flat white ( amazing ) americano ( good ) hot chocolate ( good ) Blueberry cake ( perfect 👏🏻) Cheesecake ( good ) There were 3 workers there , first one was the young lady and she was very welcoming specially when she knew that we are tourists . Also to the accounting lady she was kind. But my issue there was with the old lady there she was very rude and disrespectful specially when she knew that we don’t speak Deutsch ! Also , she told us that every person in the family must order a single coffee and single cake !!😂😂 very surprised with this attitude.

Delicious coffee right outside the central station, in a much more pleasant environment than the tourist-packed lakeshore. The owner of the place is really kind and the Black Forest cake was really good, although the top layer was not soaked enough and hence was a bit dry this time! Overall, the cake really tasted really good, right amount of cherries and not too much liquor in the sponge.

Perfect place to grab a drink and some cake before leaving from the train station! We had the Black Forest Cake and the rhubarb cake and both were delicious. The place looked nice on the inside too, though we chose one of the nicely shaded outside tables on a sunny day. Really friendly staff!

9 of us on a motorcycle holiday visited Titisee (and this bar three times). The serving lady was very helpful and hospitable. One evening, it rained hard, and the proprieter lent us umberellas to get back to our accommodation. Overall, the three people associated with the establishment made us feel very welcome, and it was a delight to visit this lovely place.

This summer is devastatingly slow for this area; the economy has greatly impacted the local businesses which is why I found it very odd receiving a cold shoulder from the bartender. You cannot use the restroom here without ordering (normal, certainly!!) but be prepared to be bluntly and unprofessional hassled into ordering prior - even if the rest of your party is already seated outside and actively ordering. Further, you cannot bring an eis from right next door even if you order something here. It just feels "off" for a business who you'd think should be glad for patronage during these tough times. Regardless, the outside service was phenomenally attentive and beyond kind.

They are closed on Mondays, my two 12 year olds took a seat outside in the shade on a hot summers day. A blond lady arrived with keys to the establishment to collect post and deliver an empty vegetable crate. She curtly told my two girls to move. Apparently, friendliness and hospitality is absent from Schwarzbrennerei in Titisee! UPDATE: I think the reply from the owner makes my point for me really. My kids were not in the way of him running his business, or causing any damage or litter. He was not even present on the property. But still he cannot climb down from his arrogant high-horse and admit that asking two kids not to sit in the shade as his wife gets back into her air-conditioned white Mercedes; might have been an over-reaction.

Maybe this is yy favourite pub in the world. Discovered in 2006 during summer vacation, planned a new trip in Schwartzwald in 2015 only to spent another week in this place. Top beers and spirits !

Rude, fair food, but one of the most unfriendly establishments I have ever visited. The town has plenty of choices for food, don't make this place your choice. Even the other German patrons were surprised at how "special" they were. Ruined our experience here.

A very good restaurant to have food while visiting Titsee. Our group had buffet lunch here, it was tasty and the service was quick.

We went there in the evening but the kitchen was closed. The owner offered us to provide takeaway, he was so generous. We ordered chicken tikka masala, chily chicken masala, tandoori chicken, panner tikka, tandoori roti and naan. I like that everything was freshky made which is lovely. We ordered chai as well and it was really Indian chai. Loved the place and food, prepared as we asked for. Thanks for the hospitality!

Great Indian food serves here. Lot's of vegetarian options. Buffet spread is quite good with yummy salads. Good indoor and outdoor sitting area. It's situated in main street on the 1st floor.

We went to the restaurant for enquiry about timing and end up having take away on the first day. We ordered non-veg dishes and the taste of the food was amazing. On the second day we went to have a dinner. The service, food and atmosphere, everything was so great. The owner was personally very attentive about the food being prepared and served. Happy to have this tasty food in small town in Black Forest. We will go there next time. Our signature dish was Bhindi Masala.

Food doesn’t qualify for Indian food, barely any spices, just tomato paste with meat, both chicken and lamb were stale probably frozen for a long time. Not recommended unless last option, the owner was welcoming but food was disappointing.

We had a vegetarian family meal here (2 adults, 1 nine-year old) in July 2025 after an active day of walking and swimming in Titisee. We arrived very hungry five minutes before the advertised opening time of 6pm and were welcomed warmly and seated immediately. We ordered four main courses (which all come with rice), four poppadums, one naan, a samosa starter, two local beers and two mango lassis, and even with a tip the bill impressively came to less than 100 euros. Service was quick, though note that the poppadums came at the same time as the main course (we were asked 'all at the same time?' and failed at intercultural communication by saying yes yet assuming that the poppadums would come early) and that they did not come with chutneys/raita; the samosa did come with raita. The poppadoms were super flavoursome and had recognisable bits of seed in them as opposed to the uniform yellow discs we are used to in the UK. In fact, all the dishes we tried were really tasty - and we consider ourselves curry experts from the UK! - with a special mention for the tarka dhal which was the tastiest all of us can remember eating for years. The 9-year old said it was the best mango lassi they'd ever had. We can't recommend this place highly enough for affordable and tasty family-friendly dining. They take cash or card, and though we muddled along in German for a while they were happy to serve us in English too!

The restaurant is quite spacious, suitable for families. Fun place to eat. The taste of the food is good although a little expensive for a student's budget. I had to wait til my food came for 40 minutes. Unfortunately there is no parking space for the car.

Sounds unbelievable but i had the best pizza ever at this place. I had the reviera and i would say its a 10/10. My boyfriend had the Quattro stagionio and gave 9/10. Im on vacation, other wise i would defenitly come back to this place. Really sweet waiters also. I pretty much never give 5 stars but this is a no brainer:) Food arrived within 30 minutes btw!💕

This restaurant offers a variety of dishes beyond just pizza. We enjoyed a delicious steak, tender chicken, and creamy pasta. The atmosphere is welcoming, and there's a cozy kids' corner filled with toys and drawing supplies to keep the little ones entertained. Just a heads up: the portion sizes are quite generous, so come hungry.

One of the best pasta I have tried in Germany. The staff was very friendly, excellent prices (pasta around 10 euro), the ambient is very cozy and the size of the pasta plate is just.... amazing.

Stopped on the way from Stuttgart to Freiburg. Great food in a cozy atmosphere with a kids menu and kids table with activities for them. Wife and I had pasta and kid had the pizza. Left happy and full.

Had lunch there, the staff was very nice. We ordered fish and a vegetarian burger. The restaurant also provides a free voucher for the toilet for info center downstairs (normally 1 euro)

Amazing & delicious food with very kind but stern staff (stern about following covid safety measures but kindly imposes them) A special mention of their Puten mit sesam mit mangosoße (duck breast with sesam paste and mango curry/sauce). The sesam paste was absolutely delicious. We also had their dauphine potatos, fries, salad, schnitzel which were all so freshly made and tasted equally good. Don't forget to end your meal with a nice large slice of the black forest cake!!

We ordered the chicken, the trout, some drinks and a Black Forest cake (50 Euros total) The main written as fried on the English menu but were in fact pan-fried, which was great. The salad and vegetables were excellent, we finished all of them. The vegetables, chicken and fish were cooked in a way that retained the natural sweetness of the produce. Loved the sauce and the seasoning. The server was friendly and sweet! Would recommend for visitors to Titisee!

The food was the best I’ve had in Germany and the service is like no other, our server Karen was so sweet and took care of us with our language barrier and always serves everything with a smile and saying something to make us laugh and feel comfortable, I always appreciate a good server and Karen is the best I’ve seen

Bad service. Go to Cafe am See!! We don't speak German. Tried ordering a cake while pointing in the German menu to what we wanted, she expected us to understand her reply (in German) and when we didn't, she walked off. We called out for service approx 2 minutes later when she hadn't return and got ignored - so we left to go to Cafe am See - which had amazing service and friendly people.

We tried blckforest cake with kirschwasser and without. The original one with kirschwasser tasted too good. The place has nice ambience and pretty good overall in the area to have a cup of coffee with lake view of titisee.

The ice cream was watery and not creamy and lacked taste, almost no cookies in the cookies flavour and little to no chocolate in the stracciatella. The service was not good, he looked he had a bad day, and was not even attempting to come across as kind. And lastly lots of problems came during the payment with card because the machine didn't work the first few times. To sum up, I was severely dissapointed since this is the first ice cream I regret buying.

Embedded in a very pleasant landscape of the Black Forest, the first 9 holes lead through forest and past old farms, the back nine are quite compact (only par-3 and par-4s in this part) resulting in an overall quite short (par 68) yet ambitious course with several doglegs and some narrow fairways. I played here recently while on holidays from Ireland. The staff in the office were really friendly, as were the members, who I met out on the course, who were more than happy to have a chat. Really enjoyed the course, challenging in places, and the greens were perfect.

Great and friendly staff. They were very accommodating and one of the best parts of our visit. The atmosphere was also wonderful for a cold winter evening. The pizza bread was amazingly good as was the cannelloni. A few of the other dishes we tried were OK, even above average but not necessarily what we expected (e.g. the Tiaramisu was a hit with me but not my wife). Easy recommendation on the restaurant overall.
