Very nice restaurant in the center of Mulhouse. We had the 'riviera' menu, everything was delicious and extremely well presented. The cost is not too high compared to the quality of every single dish.
The tables are in a suggestive courtyard, the name 'il cortile' comes from this.
Only a minor setback: the staff, even if always very polite, was a little bit 'clumsy' on a few occasions. Nothing major, but you don't expect that in a Michelin restaurant.

Anything less than 5 stars for a place like this would not do the experience any justice. Each individual course was perfection, service could not have been better and the price is absolutely reasonable for the impeccable quality provided. We will be back for sure!

Came to Mulhouse for Cité du Train, but ended up loving the Electropolis Museum (2 mins away by foot) just as much. Great for kids and adults alike! Take advantage of the nice discount when you visit both museums.
Excellent museum of electricity with plenty of information in French, English and German. Very interactive, good for all ages from 5 years and up. It is located by the huge train museum and has a discounted combo ticket option. Must see in Alsace Lorraine.
Nice museum about the history of electricity. The beginning is somewhat dry and maybe not very appealing to children. The show about static electricity was great. „The machine“ was cool, but the videos chaotic.
Also liked the little experiments afterwards. Some could use some fixing.
Game in the garden was funny, but only doable because there weren’t many kids, would have been hard to do them otherwise.
The place provides a page of history on electricity and its evolution. I discovered there electric machines used by my grandparents, which was really nice.

Very nice museum about the history of electricity. If you are an engineer you will enjoy it for sure. They have a very interesting exhibition about static electricity with Tesla coils and Faraday cages.

We were relaxing from sightseeing and had a little break with 'Croque de Pub' and a cold beer - it was really delicious - the fries spot on and crunchy, the Croque very tasty together with a salad on the side and a choice of different sauces. Recommend 👍👌
We enjoyed a delicious lunch with exceptional service delivered by an awesome waitress named Carolyn. The atmosphere was buzzing. We ordered a Chicken Roma & Au Bureau signature burger. Both were cooked to perfection. Following our main course we ordered a tea and a small selection of dessert. I felt like a queen when Carolyn brought the selection of tea options to our table for me to choose the type of tea I would like. Despite there being only one waitress attending to our area the service was fast & friendly. Carolyn was not only efficient, she was bubbly & served everyone with a big smile on her face. I can safely say our experience at Au Bureau was one of the best service experiences we have experienced during our 4 month tour of Europe.
The potato was tasty and home made, not defrozen. The meat, unfortunately, was too chewy, to my feelings it was an ancient pig. The phrase "well-done" is not known, for some unlucky reason I always get pink bloody stakes. The price of this super secret off the menu "special" deal appeared to be €35. Not worth it, the prices are too pumped for nothing.
Worst steak I've ever eaten in my whole life, very chewy, i asked it medium and it was overcooked. I think it was a test for my teeth after eating that steak my teeth can stand anything! The food was very expensive depending on the poor quality of the ingredients the french potatoes was defrozen and the steak was bad quality meat the burger was really bad too. Pretty terrible service. We ordered 3 rib steaks and pointed clearly at the photo which the waitress nodded at. She came out 20 minutes later with 3 racks of ribs instead of steaks. We told her the order was wrong and she put the plates down and said “well what do you want me to do?”. Quite a shocking experience given that it is her job to make things right, not ours. The other waiter started pointing at us as this went down and sounded like he was talking shit to the other customers. The waitress then started trying to educate us on how in France ribs means ribs or something, which was quite frustrating given that we had clearly pointed on the menu at the correct item and we had spoken in English the whole time ( her English was quite good as well)
We were pretty disappointed with the meal. The place was busy. As a result the waitress didn't come to us for 14mins, even though we were waiting. I know the time because I checked it. Nobody came and said sorry, we will be late. They just ignored us. I had to call for the order. Absolutely not right given the bill was not cheap.
Food was mixed experience. The burger was nice. But the Entrecote was sinewy. I expected a better quality of meat.
Overall, will not visit it again. 😒
Lots of the local reviews are higher but I honestly went to quite a few places and think this is the best. The burgers are all good quality meat. My coke in my drink was flat and I asked for it to be swapped and they didn’t charge me. Really fresh food and a nice environment with reasonable prices

It was a fabulous experience.
Thiébaud the Manager was fantastic. He was incredibly welcoming and friendly and he also spoke perfect English if required.
My husband had their Menu Découverte (4 dishes of the Chef’s choice) for 55€ plus 3 pairing wines for an additional 22€. What fantastic value. Every dish was beautifully presented and the flavours exquisite.
I went a la carte and again, the presentation and flavours were amazing.

I recommend this restaurant.
I ordered an entrecôte with a salad and it was a really good meat. Then we ordered 7 times the flamkuch (best ones goat cheese and honey, cheese, veggies).
The staff were really nice and they made sure all my order was lactose free.
The wine of the house was a bit strong but ok.
We were a group of 8 and we were all served at the same time and pretty fast.
We came back and we tried more dishes. The place is okay for the price.
Foie gras was a 3/5, escargots 5/5 boeuf avec frites 4/5.
The food and the staf was great. If you are vegan or don't eat pork, you might have a limited options. However, they can help you to chose even if you speak only English.

This is an authentic Alsace region cuisine restaurant recommended by the tourism office in Mulhouse.
First impressions - may not be obvious if they are opened. You will have to open the doors to confirm if they are open, and you will be surprised when there are more patrons in the restaurant as thought to be given the location. The ambience is warm and cosy like a traditional restaurant going back in time.
We ordered a set €35 (Plaisir D’Alsace) which consists of escargots, la fameuse choucroute and baba au rhum Maison. We also ordered Jarret de porc (€20) for another main. Servings are very generous and value for money. What awed me the most was how the pork is prepared and cooked can turn out to be so different and delicious!
Pinot Blanc and kir royal are good to accompany with the meals.
Kudos to Griles who went the extra mile and helped to replace the wine which I accidentally toppled over and did not want to charge us for the replacement drink! 🙏🏼

We found amazing Alsatian foods here. And we think that the locals agree because the restaurant was full of the locals eating there. We tried La Fameuse Choucroute and Jarret de Porc, and they were very delicious. The meat we had were super tender and juicy. However, we had to wait a bit to get seats because the restaurant just had so many guests.

Beautiful historic building. Amazing addition to the historic city centre and town square, would love to stare at this all day long. Beautiful starcase. Looks in immaculate condition, even the flag was in top shape. No trash or littre anywhere to be found, very welle cared for. It wasnt open though would have loved to see the inside.

We loved our visit to the city hall and the museum. The building is so historically and unique. You can visit the museum free of charge and learn about the city's history on 3 floors of the building. The staff is kind. It is a really nice thing from the city to enter the museum without ticket fee. So everybody has opportunity to know the history of Alsace and Mulhouse.
