We came here for a family lunch and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was cosy and friendly, with water and biscuits for the dog provided! The staff were attentive without being overbearing and were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The food was also outstanding, and we particularly recommend the burgers. I would say the steak burger definitely lives up to expectations and is the best I have ever had! We would definitely recommend coming here, especially since it is so reasonably priced. 😋

Came for a quick drink, came here a few years ago and really liked it, still a great place. Went on a Sunday lunchtime, not the best time because it was packed. Didn't stay to eat but if you do want to then I recommend booking in advance if they take reservations. We sat outside which was fine since it was a nice day. Friendly, welcoming and helpful service from the gent behind the bar (possibly the manager/owner). Very family orientated feel to the place. Very cosy inside. Good choice of drinks at reasonable prices.

My number 1 place to go for a roast on a Sunday, the food is exceptional, the staff are attentive, lovely wine selection, and a nice vibe. Pictured is the goats cheese nut roast with all the veg, potatoes, and Yorkshire pudding. My mum usually gets the lamb and loves it every time.

What a perfect pub...this is without a doubt one of the best, most historic pubs in the area. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and we're greeted by a welcoming, attentive team who clearly take incredible pride in running the pub. The decor is unbelievable and the owners have made sure the 1700's historic pub has been kept beautifully. There is a great selection of drinks including a very reasonable wine list and some great real ales. The food is exceptional and way above a "standard" pub offering. The whole menu is fantastic but the burgers really stand out and should definitely be tried when visiting. A huge thanks to Alan and the team for a great visit, here's to many more.

My son took me here today for a birthday lunch. We are new to the area but having met the managers/owners previously it was an obvious choice to try. What a lovely traditional, authentic local pub! The owners are so lovely as are the rest of the staff and our food was delicious. A proper authentic experience, home cooked food, locally sourced produce from local suppliers and butchers. You could definitely taste the difference in the quality of the meats and the rest of the food. Thank you imperial arms for making my birthday so special today. Highly recommend this pub. We will definitely be back.

We went to the beautiful Imperial Arms for a Sunday roast and it did not disappoint. We had heard this pub had the best roast around which our charming waitress confirmed. To say we had high expectations was an understatement. It delivered! Our waitress Sydney was absolutely fantastic - giving a good level of playfulness that everyone vibed off of. A great all round experience, the pub dates back to the 1700's and having visitors from Australia with us, made the history of the place more significant. I would highly recommend. Nothing disappoints.

This was absolutely the food highlight of our trip and definitely worth the effort getting to from central London. The staff was kind and helpful and even brought us in from the rain even though we showed up a bit earlier than we meant to. The atmosphere was beautiful outside and in. Most importantly the food was absolutely delicious! Our Sunday roasts were just perfect! I wish I lived closer so I could come more often! (If anyone in Chislehurst is hiring Americans just let me know!😉)

Our 53rd wedding anniversary meal. Brilliant. Exceptional service, food and ambience. We have been to many Italian restaurants in our time and I can honestly say that this is one of the best. The mussels are out of this world. Thank you all for a wonderful evening experience.

This restaurant is amazing and the staff are so friendly, the service was 10 out of 10, the food was fresh and delicious, we has the oysters to start and I had the veal which I let my partner have a morsel which I begrudged, he ordered the cod in a mornay sauce obviously I had to try that, we shared the chips and spinach and they were enough for the 2 of us, I can’t comment on desserts as we were so full and didn’t have the room, I can not wait to go back, this is how real Italian food is cooked

Ultimate Chislehurst experience in a white-tablecloth restaurant. Strange surprise was cover charge on the bill which needed to be paid per person.

They were fabulous accommodating a group of 8 and catering to the specifics of some. Having 2 Portuguese people at the table we were surprised to learn how much of the serving staff were as well. We had a good selection of the significant menu sardines, escargot, scallops etc etc and the a good selection of mains with a few bottles of Amarone. My sardines were over-grilled the risotto was medium and the osso buco not prepared traditionally was just not seasoned the way I am accustomed but was fabulously tender. The atmosphere although comfy was missy some Italian warmth in the decor. Would I got there again? ABSOLUTELY! Would I recommend it? ABSOLUTELY!

Went for lunch on Sunday without reservation and sat outside on table for 4. Was very impressed with customer service, felt well looked after. Family ate fish grill, sea plater spaghetti, vegetarian spaghetti ect. Got some for home too. I was also delighted with dessert options. They were presented on trolley to choose from, what a lovely idea. Will be back soon

Best local Italian for sure! Dishes are amazing, especially the scallops and the calves livers! Very hard to find a restaurant that still serves that! Also make sure you don't book too late on the weekend as their best desserts were sold out by 10pm (profiteroles and Tiramisu) Desserts come on a trolley - old school ways. Great staff and good ambiance. Prices are fair, too. Thumbs up will return.

Celebrated my Mom's birthday here as a large group of 15. There's an extensive menu (cold|hot apps, chicken, beef, lamb, veal, liver and seafood, pastas). The food is good. The service is attentive. Everyone in our group was served their food at the same time which is impressive. The waiters sang "Happy Birthday" to my Mom which was delightful.

Overall enjoyable experience. Quality compares/ similar to Weatherspoon breakfast, just double the price. Clean, attentive staff, fast. However, not 5 star. Slightly dated interior. Thank you

In a lovely and tranquil location, this cafe has quite an immense menu with a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and main dishes. I had a smoked salmon and egg mayo baguette which was delicious. I was served promptly. Prices are great in terms of value for money. Very busy when I was there at lunchtime and I can understand why. Would definitely return when in the area.

Visited this cafè yesterday and, despite the extensive menu and friendly staff, was a bit disappointed. I ordered the Bangers & Mash and the mashed potato was clumpy and flavourless, the gravy was thin/watery and lacking in flavour (I wouldn’t really call it gravy - especially not the kind of gravy you put on sausages & mash). There was also barely any of it so I had to ask for more. My friends ordered the Steak Pies and again, they used the same gravy and barely any of it, and the pies were thick and soggy with the meat inside being a bit dry. The English breakfast however was good.

This is a lovely cafe situated in the prime position within a parade of independent shops. The menu is varied and tempting! The service has always been great and the staff accommodating, attentive and friendly. The fully loaded fry up and omelettes are the go to choice for us and the coffees are delicious. One of the best things about Walnuts is we have enjoyed every visit without feeling rushed. It is vibrant, welcoming, perfect outside in the sunshine and cosy indoors on greyer days. A lovely little escape from reality and would fully recommend.

Coffee was nice, but thats where it ends. The girl serving us clearly really didn't want to be there, the elderly couple who got served by the same girl behind us said "oh she's happy" No local cafe feel. The penne carbonara pasta we ordered was swimming in oil so half was left. Maybe this was just a bad experience, but I've been to much better coffee shops/cafes which are less expensive & a much friendlier atmosphere. Wouldn't recommend.

Good reviews so popped in for late lunch with my daughter. Usually I go to the Petts wood one. First impressions disappointing; not as nicely decorated as PW one. It was quiet so took a table at the back and waited for someone to bring a menu. Why didn't someone show us to a table and give us menus when we arrived? My sparkling water arrived with no ice or lemon. We ordered 2 caesar salads one with salmon 1 with chicken. Sorry but not as good as PW! Chicken not as nicely cooked and the croutons were hard, thought I might lose a filling. Salmon was OK. Whole experience of staff and service was that it wasn't as slick and efficient as the other branch in petts wood. Disappointing.

After visiting the chislehurst summer fete, we stopped at Mirage for food. Ordered and had a bit of a wait (they’re very busy) but oh boy it was definitely worth it. The food was fresh, delicious and piping hot. Absolutely gorgeous food and competitively priced. If you’re here and hungry I highly recommend Mirage. 10/10

Very much an old-skool English style diner, with all the usual favourites - jacket potatoes, omelettes, burgers, breakfasts etc. Service very friendly and laid back, good sized portions and good value but food was quite cold, especially my vegetarian burger. I’d like to see more in the menu for vegans aside from salads and if they had egg mayonnaise as an option for sandwiches, jacket potatoes etc., that would offer more variety for vegetarians as I love jacket potatoes but don’t like beans and can’t tolerate dairy. Overall not a bad place for a cheap breakfast, brunch or lunch.

A lovely, independent oasis in the middle of Chislehurst. A warm, authentic welcome and quick service. We only had coffees this time, but a return visit will be made as the menu items looked tasty - and reasonably priced.

I had a lovely full English breakfast (the chestnut breakfast on menu). A very good serving for a full English breakfast. All parts were cooked perfectly. The service was quick and very polite. A nice chilled atmosphere and very clean. Nice addition some tables have a nice view onto the pond.

Usually really lovely lunch but today was awful, the side salad tasted really bad, soggy and watery. And my omlette came with no salad garnish or chips. I then found a black hair in my omlette which put me off eating it, not sure if I'll be back. Shame as the food used to be so nice.

This place is the Best place in and around Chislehurst, Trust Me! 100% The Breakfasts are absolutely spot on!! I have recently tried their roast dinners on various different days and Oh My God! It is out of this world, I am not joking please Try it and see for yourselves. Sev and Ali are really nice people and they know how to look after their customers. This is a good Old Fashioned Cafe! The £8.99 Sunday lunch is to die for. Fantastic BIG roast, a cuppa, and dessert all for under a tenner. The roast lamb is deliciously cooked and they’re generous with their gravy. I normally get the smoothie alongside my meal to treat myself to a fruit or two. Small cafe but there’s an upstairs too which is a little quieter. I’ve only ever eaten the roast but every other diner’s food looks amazing too.

Wow, wat can I say. I ordered a beef roast and apple pie dessert for my 90 yr old mum all at last minute. I done this all over the phone as I live in Norfolk, and my mum is in Sidcup. Sef the owner could not of been any more helpful. She hand delivered the meal as a one off ( what a star) to my mum, to the door straight after work with her husband. She even put it on a plate inside and served it to my mum as she had recently had a fall and not so mobile. My mum was delighted, beef was amazing, yorkies perfect and veg spot on. Followed by her apple pie and custard and we was onto a winner. Massive, massive thanks Sef your an absolute star. Big thanks from Norwich.

My dad took me to fish union the other day for some dinner and it was lovely!! To start with, the restaurant itself is gorgeous and also very well laid out. The staff are all extremely polite, friendly and professional. I had ordered the chilli tiger prawns and my dad ordered the burrata with nduja and both were amazing and super flavourful. I had also ordered the salmon and scallops for my main with a portion of ‘our chips’ and they were both extremely nice!! I would definitely recommend this place, 10/10 :)

Wanted a fish restaurant and found Fish Union local to us . Great food and great service too We had the yellow fin tuna and dressed crab for starters Mussels and Turbot( one of the daily specials ) for main Dessert - Kent Mess and bread and butter pudding Every mouthful was delicious as so tasty - portion size just right All in all a great meal with great menu

I kind of want to like this place more than I did. Food was good but not great and at £50 per person with no alcohol or desert I just thought it was a touch toppy considering the limitations of a couple of the dishes. Primarily the scallops were mostly a pile of red cabbage which in turn was overly acidic from the vinegar and drowned out the delicate scallop slices that were very thinly sliced. Heritage tomato salad was good. The best item on the table was the anchovy sauce on the cod that my wife had. Service was good and everyone was very pleasant so I’m a bit conflicted about picking some minor gripes, but I just feel that at the price point it underdelivered on detail and quality of finish. I’d go again but my wife says no!! (More conflict!!)😂😂

We fancied a seafood lunch so looked up google to see what tickled our fancy. I found this restaurant and thought why not?! The restaurant itself was quite small with a fresh fish counter on display for those who wanted to buy fish/seafood to cook at home. We ordered from the lunch set menu and found it great value. The quality of food was amazing. Everything tasted so fresh and was seasoned so well. Delicious! The bread which came with the mussels was so good alas I was so full that sadly I couldn't finish it! Even though it was just a quick small lunch.. it was possibly one of the best seafood meals I've had (even compared to some of the big names J sheekeys, Scotts, Riddle and Finn, Bentleys, Wright Bros...to name a few!). It was very very agreeable. Pure tasty food with lovely professional yet non pretentious service. We bought a bream from the fish counter to take home for the children's dinner. ...I can confirm that they loved it! The restaurant is not near to where we live but we will definitely be back again!!!

Came for a midweek birthday lunch and had a great experience. The food is absolutely delicious and, as other reviewers have said, it is priced fairly for what you get - the higher prices are definitely reflected in the quality! We got the house platter, prawns, scallops, bread and butter and chips, and a bottle of Kentish sparkling wine. Particular highlights were the chilli salted prawns (so delicious!!), house chips, scallops and oysters. The servers were very friendly and attentive in topping up our wine and checking we were ok. We sat outside which was lovely given the warmer weather (although you are quite close to the road and I’d love to experience the ambience inside next time!).

We throughly enjoyed everything about our evening at Fish Union last week. The seafood was some of the tastiest and well cooked I’ve ever had. The young girls who served us were very lovely, professional and thorough. Our favourites were definitely the Octopus and Seafood Bouillabaisse, everything was fresh, tasty & cooked to perfection. Only pointer would be that for the price, the prawns could be served as 4 instead of 3, since it is likely people will be sharing these small plates. Can’t wait to return!

Fancy some real fresh seafood without having to drive all the way to Dover or Folkestone? Look no further! Must try grilled tiger prawns, scallops and their octopus! Lobsters are very fresh and they also have a fish monger counter! We did order a little bit too much but it's rather hard make a choice! The only little letdown are their side dishes, the lettuce was too overgrilled, broccoli bit too oily and triple cooked chips was lacking some taste. But otherwise well done on the small dishes especially! Oh and as there isn't a door between kitchen and restaurant, it does tend to get a little bit 'smelly' so make sure you don't wear your most expensive outfit! Super friendly staff and owner, too!

We visited this lovely Ukrainian restaurant for a christening celebration, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and festive — perfect for such a special occasion. The food was outstanding, with a wide variety of traditional Ukrainian dishes, all beautifully presented and full of flavor. As a vegetarian, I was especially impressed with the number of delicious options available for me — it’s not always easy to find that in traditional cuisine, but they truly delivered! The service was excellent as well — friendly, attentive, and very accommodating to everyone’s needs. We felt genuinely cared for throughout the celebration. A wonderful place for both special occasions and everyday meals. Highly recommend!

Visited Ole Kyiv for dinner and had a great experience. The restaurant is spacious, and we were seated immediately without any wait. Julia looked after us and was very helpful, since it was our first time trying Ukrainian cuisine, we asked for her recommendations. The food was delicious, and the dessert was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant and definitely plan to return.

It was our first time and I'm so happy I found this restaurant! It's perfect for romantic dinners or special occasions. The food is delicious and served beautifully presented. Prices are reasonable and the staff very pleasant and helpful. However, the service was extremely slow, we waited for over 30 minutes just for our dessert. Also, starters and main dishes came together, which we found rather odd. I'm not sure why the service was so slow, but if that improved, then I would give a 5 starts review! Also, please serve starters first, then mains.

Ole Kyiv is a restaurant that brings you traditional Ukraine cuisine with their original versions, if you looking to try an Ukrainian dish, then Ole Kyiv is the first place in London you should visit. Special thanks to Sasha for his hospitality and giving us the best recommendation, thanks! We have tried borscht(my favorite), goloubtsi, kyiv chicken and honey cake, all of them were delicious. They also have traditional Ukrainian beer and vines that you should give it a try, Lvivske a beer I really enjoyed. I’m looking forward to visit again!

Borscht was very good. Now the Kiev was nothing like a chicken Kiev, the dressing was even more so disappointing. Hopefully the pictures serve as an example, the 3 dishes alone amounted to £60 which is overpriced and lastly when no tip was given the waitress completely changed her manners.

This restaurant is a little piece of Ukraine in the UK — and it’s absolutely amazing. I felt like I was back in Ukraine. The food, the staff, the atmosphere — everything was simply incredible.

Had an impromptu tour that was extremely interesting. Shame our churches can't be left open but I was delighted to find it open when I walked by and popped in to share a cuppa and have a chat. Most welcoming

I take my Grandson here for the ABC club on Mondays. He loves it! So do I! Its very well thought out and has quality toys and great space. Lots of small world play, construction and small physical play. Babies have a dedicated area, which is often full of lovely new mums chatting and sharing Stories. Tea, cake and juices are available served by a lovely team who seem who magically appear organise, set up and run the club. We are always welcomed and spoken too. I see how my Grandson gravitates throughout the play space exploring the resources and interacing with other under 5s. He has shown more confidence since attending he is very comfortable there. I feel it is a sense of peace and kindness that definitely shines here. He loves the church ceiling and gets very excited looking up in such a beautiful venue. The wrap up session at the end has Bible stories and Nursery rhymes and super fun bubbles really helps little ones understand the session has finished and had a chance to share joy through stories and rhyme through Christian ethos. Well done the lovely team who provide for us and our families week in and out. It's needed in a frantic busy world bringing people together with a quality provision.

This is a spacious church in Chiselhurst near to the imperial way. It is the lowest (theologically)/most evangelical of the 3 Anglican churches in the vacinity. The congregation is of medium size on the Sunday I visited, perhaps +100ish regulars. It is family friendly and has a good number/percentage of families but not exclusively so. The church is well involved in the life of the community and is evidently outward looking, doing several outreach projects to the community and with congregational members stretching themselves to do these things. A great place to visit or regularly attend.

Dementia Cafe once a month where once again everyone is most welcome. I very friendly and approachable vicar, Dave, and his lovely wife Cath. Why not give it a try? 😊

I had the best experience at Emily James Bridal. Susan was so lovely and made me and my bridal party feel welcome. She was helpful and just lovely! The boutique is stunning and Jo is amazing. She accommodated my quite large bridal party and was happy to have them all attend my appointment, which most don’t allow. This made for a lovely experience for us all! I can’t thank you enough.

As a mature bride to be I was very nervous but Jo the stylist has an eye for detail and designs -I tried on different styles I would never of dreamed of doing the variety of dresses and accessories in the shop made it difficult to choose from ! there is no hard sales pressure in this shop you are made to feel so special and at ease the moment you walk through the door - The communication has been fab from start to finish- would highly recommend a visit

Strangely it's table service even if you're only having drinks, I think it must be because it's very busy and they don't have lots of staff but saying that I can't help thinking it'd be quicker to have service at the bar. Service was very friendly and welcoming though. Very smart place. Casual atmosphere.

I had a fantastic dinner here and would highly recommend it! I ordered the Steak and Ale pie with mashed potatoes — it was cooked to perfection, full of rich flavor, and the gravy was absolutely delicious. To drink, I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc which was crisp, refreshing, and paired beautifully with the meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. A lovely bonus is that the pub is dog-friendly, which adds to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely a place I’ll be returning to!

I came here today with my nan - we often come here when I visit from Manchester. We both grew up around this area, and this pub has always been extra special to us. As usual the food and drinks were *outstanding* and the staff are so kind and helpful - special mention to Shaz the waiting staff, and the lovely bar man with the septum piercing!! We had a really lovely Sunday roast dinner here. We were waited on by Mai, who was super friendly and helpful when ordering with my allergy. The pub is really beautiful with excellent food. We will absolutely be coming back!

A group of us were out celebrating three birthdays. As we arrived the three of us who's birthdays it was were given an envelope. Each of us received a birthday card with individual message, a really nice touch, a great start to the evening. The food was good, we were not rushed at all. Jordan and Lauren were lovely. Came for a quick drink, I'd been here a few years ago before I started reviewing but I'd forgot how amazing this place is,a solid 5 stars. Smart/casual feel to the place. I'd also forgotten how large the place is, it's small from the front but large inside, large dining area and large beer garden at the rear, small beer garden at the front. Service was spot on, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Great choice of drinks at reasonable prices. We didn't stay to eat but wish we had. Definitely worth a visit. Will most likely go again the next time I'm in the chislehurst area.

Friendly local in pub with tasty food, great service and a spacious and comfortable outdoor terraced. Went with family for drinks and a meal. Our server (Lou?) was extremely helpful dealing with our various food allergies. Everyone was very friendly to our dog, who enjoyed the evening too. Recommended.

I’ve been going to The Bickley for years and it’s always been one of my favourite places. The service is great, and it’s so dog friendly, which is lovely. I really do enjoy coming here, which is why it’s such a shame to say that recently the food just hasn’t been living up to the price – and honestly, it just hasn’t been very tasty. On our latest visit, three of us ordered the mussels to start, which were supposed to come with bread. The bread only arrived after we asked for it, and by then we’d already finished. The mussels themselves were served in a small pudding bowl and at £12 felt poor value – and the flavour was just a bit flat, like something was missing. My sister ordered scallops, but this was forgotten and another portion of mussels was brought out instead. We know these things can happen and we’re quite laid back about mistakes, but by the time her correct starter finally arrived, the rest of us had already finished ours, which did take away from the experience. The mac and cheese was probably the biggest disappointment – no flavour, no real sauce, and barely any cheese. It just felt bland and tasteless. We also had the ribeye steak for two, which was seasoned well and tasted nice, but the portion was on the small side for the price and it only came with chips. We ordered spinach on the side too, but again it was really bland and tasteless. I really do love The Bickley – the atmosphere, the staff, and the dog-friendly touch are all wonderful – but I just wish the food matched up to everything else, especially for the prices being charged. I’d love to see it get back to the high standards it used to have.

Visited today for a Sunday roast for the first time. We didn't have a booked table but we were offered a table inside, which was perfect for us. Nice interesting decor, placed needed attention like the bench ripped on left of our table. Our table was very shaky and chairs slightly dirty. Garden looked great but super busy for out liking. In was quite peaceful and pleasant. Drink menu was extensive, food menu obviously was more consistent on meat options. As vegetarian myself I felt wes restricted, I would love to see more options, just a personal opinion. We had a starters, olives and bread were divine. My meat eaters had the beef roast and they said it was she best they ever had so far, so a big compliment for the chef. I had the pasta with peas, the cauliflower baked and the chips on the side, was good. Obviously as a dessert lover I had the white chocolate ganesh and I honestly can say was amazing. Well done Service was very attentive and polite. Would definitely come back ,maybe on another day to try.

The manager Callum has made our night such a blessing, he was very efficient and looks like he runs the bar very well. Very polite staff, they all have a smile on their face and are all very attentive. This pub is not only beautiful to look at but is also a beautiful experience to drink here, i highly recommend coming to the Bickley as it caters adults and also children.

Food was good but we had to wait over an hour to get our starters, and then a further hour to get our mains. The restaurant is grossly under staffed. Our waitress Lilly was great, but with only 3 staff in the kitchen and a packed restaurant, the service was unacceptably slow. Such a shame as we often come here, but don’t plan on making a return trip any time soon.

Lily /who has served us on may occasions over the past year is always very attentive. She is always very busy but takes the time to make sure myself snd my partner who is autistic are always looked after , today she helped my partner look for something that we had lost despite being busy . That was so important for my partner to find . On top of that , the food and hospitality is always great . Lily deserves a special commendation as she is the reason we return to this restaurant regularly. Good food is found in many places . Kindness and attentiveness isn't always on the menu. A friendly and enjoyable Italian restaurant in Chiselhurst, Prezzo offers a wide selection of meals and drinks at decent prices. The service was exemplary, with the staff being more than helpful to me, my mum, my wife, and my young daughter (18 months). They provided a highchair, crayons, and even interacted a little bit with her which was delightful. I had a spicy ravioli which was very good and a nice low alcohol beer (dad duties). However, my wife had a garlic mushroom pizza which was pretty dry and my daughter's pizza was quite hard, therefore difficult to eat. Overall a nice stylish premises with great staff and decent food but the latter could be improved.

Came here with my mum and sis for late mothers day meal was awful i ordered a pornstar martini and sis a sambuca as you can see it's not right mine was really watery and no passion fruit and the sambuca well say no more it shouldn't be white the food was soggy and salad was rubbery and brown will not be returning

Food is good, but the service could be a touch more attentive. Only 2 other tables in there, but still took 15 mins to get a drink order. And everyone vanished after we got the bill. I know it was end of the day and everyone is cleaning up, but if you could just keep an eye out for the people waving cash and trying to get out of your way😉.

Nice food, and accomodating to special requests, however the service was a bit slow considering it was a quiet Bank Holiday Monday lunchtime. Servers we had both looked pretty fed up, and didn't really interact with our table. Wouldn't go back to this branch, but generally like Prezzo.

Usually OK to just turn up but on special occasion you need to book. Nice food good service. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Menu changes often enough so no need to eat the same each time. Good veggie choice but check their website for menu. I would recommend and will visit again.

The food was really nice! Especially after looking at the menu and i was worrying i wouldn't like anything because it had spice or lemon in most meals! The lady who served us was really rude! It was rushed service and she looked snobby and miserable! The amount of times we saw her staring us with dirty looks as if we wasn't good enough to be there as a young group of women! We didn't tip for that reason. When my friend put her cutlery down to take a sip of drink the waitress was straight over to take our plates when my friend wasn't finished! Almost like she didn't want us there. When we left there was no thank you, thanks for coming, how was your meal, please come again. We just paid and left. The place looks lovely just shame about the snobby staff! Wouldn't go to the chistlehurst one again. But I rate it 3 star because of the food!

Red Letter day present purchased by our friends for us. Separate menu with limited and mostly unwanted choices. Service was good but everything else was very average (food and drinks). Someone had thrown up in the gents toilets and alerted staff didn’t seem too bothered. I’m sorry but not a keen fan. Bit of a let down!

If you are looking for a place that offers authentic, freshly prepared Thai, then look no further. We stumbled across this place afew months back and now its a regular on our dining out schedule. The place might feel a little simple in its decor, but the food is anything but simple. The staff are warm, welcoming and offer great service. So glad we found the is place. If I had one negative, it’s the warmth of the restaurant. We were dining tonight, and thou not warm outside (July 1st), the aircom wasn’t working or on.

Fabulous food. Easy parking. Restaurant has had a makeover, new furniture and ownership I believe. Nothing but good. Duck spring rolls to start r the best. Thai chicken green curry flavoursome and lots of tender chicken. So much better than another Thai restaurant which is one of a chain in Chislehurst!

Visited on a Saturday lunchtime and we were the only customers. Opted for the soup (flavours were OK, but not worthy the price) and the starter selection for one (again was OK but couldn't justify the 7.95£). The stir fry beef was very watery but the curries was OK. Don't think I will be back.

This place has gone downhill drastically! Overpriced poor quality food and bad customer service. I’ll definitely not go back again, which is a shame as it was a decent restaurant previously.

The food was really nice. We have been meaning to try it for a while but could not get the booking. The only reason for not giving 5 star was for the slow serving. We were there for 7pm but did not have any food near 8pm. I got bad reaction similar to what I got after eating MSG. I guess there might quite a lot of MSG in all dishes.

First time eating here , came with work friends, nice clean restaurant , good atmosphere, they have a live pianist at front of restaurant, unusual for an Indian establishment. Service was a little slow, but we was chatting, so was ok. Food was nice , but most of us felt the curries were Not spicy enough, lacking that heat you expect from a curry.

Would never go back. Every time we go it’s like they’ve got the hump with you. Not a single smile from anyone especially the two older fellas. I can’t believe anyone would want that experience. Our two friends said the same as well. We paid in cash, came to around £150 for 4 people, we had around £8 in change and we felt like they was keeping the change as well even after £12 in tips. I had to chase them up for the change. Enjoyed the food but nothing else. We will avoid at all costs

Started off nice and peaceful evening with the piano playing. This was the calm before the storm. Because a big group of drunk men came in yelling and were SAT RIGHT NEXT TO US. Normally I would not blame the restaurant for these circumstances but it was quite empty with lots of big empty tables where they could be seated not disrupting anyone. The main was delicious but the oil the baji was cooked in needed a change. Overall was pretty average probably wouldn’t go back.

Very good and quiet restaurant 👌, the food and what we have ordered was brilliant. Very tasty. We had 2 different chicken curry with amond, coconut and cashew, aloo gobi and Pilau Rice. Service fast and welcoming. Restaurant is clean and quiet. Good choice of food and drink. I recommend 👌 👏 👍.

Nice atmosphere. Quiet but it was B/Hol Monday at 6pm. Nice to see a group booking there though. Food was spot on. Had Charcoal Roasted Duck, Prawn Masala, Dahl Makhni, Mushroom Bhaji, Paneer Tikka Butter Masala, and some naans. It was our first time and we definitely will be going back.

Great good and lovely staff, but some things need to be refined. The sofas by the entrance are falling apart, it’s not the nicest thing to see when walking in. Our plates were collected on a trolley with other dirty plates already on it. Menus were also dirty. I liked that warm towels were brought out post meal. I think if the management team can bring the standard up a notch then this place will rock!

Food was good but I have had better. Service was slow and poor, they was not attentive to our small table with lots of food. Seemed short staffed and to many tables with 3-4 servers.

A jewel we found today🩵 I absolutely adored the place which was situated opposite a stables. It’s a dated farm building with antiques around for interiors, open kitchen and the food was fantastic. We had Salmon and Lamb Shank! Recommend all to try! Compliment to the chef 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 The waitress was lovely, attentive. Get well soon though! As she was a little limping. I understand the menu is changeable, but having a guidance price would be better. We didn’t mind, but saw some posts which rated this restaurant down had this reason on. We were there on a Saturday afternoon around 14:30 and not seats were full. Food was brought fast and in standard. An abundant of healthy, vegetarian sides with each meal. We had two adult and one 3yo, two dishes filled us very well. 🅿️ Parking available just outside the restaurant. It was v easy for us to find.

AMAZING FOOD!!! Best mother's day meal we have had.... If love a pudding you won't be disappointed with the choice. So much meat with the main. Definitely recommend. You can also bring your own alcohol which keeps your bills down as well.

Fantastic little cosy place with good down to earth home cooked food in a pretty cottage barn restaurant setting. Everything is piping hot, fresh and showcases the best of British. Amazing value for money anywhere not least leafy Chislehurst. All staff are super efficient and friendly and will accommodate your every need. Excellent home cooked traditional foods. Plenty of selections of all 3 courses if desired. Probably the best place to get a Sunday roast with generous portions and extremely good value for money. Its also bring your own alcohol with corkage at just £3.50 for wines, soft drinks are available. Staff are polite, professional and attentive. Great surroundings and there's parking available. Limited opening times in the week. Take away now available but best to give 24h notice for Sunday collections

A lovely quaint place, atmosphere was chirpy, music in background. Service was good and prompt.Thou it wasn’t that busy. Food was nice, had the afternoon tea, endless tea a good selection of sandwiches and lots of cakes, that we couldn’t get through so brought them home. A lovely place to meet with a friend 😌

Small but cosy. Was very hot even though they tried their best with all windows open and a fan. Service and food was excellent and the old time music playing from the speakers was a lovely touch.

This was our first impromptu visit to Gurkha Square. The food was prepared with love and freshness, felt like eating at home. We tried a few dishes but our favourite was the sherpa lamb and the soft garlic naan. Hospitality was top notch and a special mention to the Manager, Gyanu. We will visit again!!!

It was our first time visiting and we had a delightful dining experience. Our son loves the Gurkha Salmon Makani and my favourite was the Sherpa Lamb. The lamb was flavourful, succulent and tender. Naan was fluffy and fresh. The manager and staff were very attentive. Service was top notch, keep up the good work! Would highly recommend.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Nepalese Cuisine! I had an incredible experience at this Nepalese restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, with rich flavors and authentic spices that reminded me of traditional home-cooked meals. The momo (dumplings) were perfectly steamed and juicy, and the Beryani was full of flavor.

Occasionally eat at the Ramblers and went expecting the usual pubs classic/sandwiches menu (still shown on line) to find its now a pizza menu. Disappointed to find its such a limited menu, pizza ok but nothing special. Nice garden but pub very quiet.

Came for a quick drink. Very large football following which was shown on the screens. Service was friendly but not a huge place so was a bit packed inside, lots of people drinking out the front. Service was friendly. Good choice of drinks. Reasonable prices.

Popped in for a drink on a lovely sunny day, informed it was the first day of the BBQ menu, when outside the chef (who was very friendly) popped over and explained the menu and thoughts behind the dishes. We decided to have a couple of dishes and they were excellent. Unfortunately we were only able to stay for a couple of drinks but could easily have spent the afternoon there. We were informed the place is now under new ownership/management and if this is the direction they are going i look forward to coming back time and again!

First time back to the Ramblers Rest in 42 years. Did not order food, but the beer was great. Hope to return sooner than 42 years.

We had a Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed. The food was excellent, plenty of veg and well cooked. The girls on service were polite and attentive, and a lovely touch was the chef coming out to ask if we'd enjoyed. All in all, a great Sunday afternoon out. Thank you!

Disappointed from the start. They couldn’t even have correct spelling on the menu which was the first warning sign! Was told they only had bbq food! Ordered 2 x steak (medium rare), sausage, veg and potato salad. Aside from the sausage….the rest was awful and overcooked. Ordered 2 glasses of Merlot. The glasses were so dirty they would have been cleaner unwashed. And at over £15 for 2 small glasses you certainly expect better….although the till system didn’t add up so they may have made a mistake! If you want to laugh go here. If you want some decent food and drink…..don’t!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 'first proper' meal stay (approximately 2 hours 14.40 to 16.40pm) at this charming little historic grade listed 17th Century Kentish Inn on Thursday 28/7/22. The relaxed quite atmosphere allowed us the opportunity to introduce ourselves to staff Ben, Abi, and Kevin 'the chef'. Kevin, we thoroughly enjoyed the interesting conversation with you about the hospitality industry, your a 'true gentleman' and an excellent experienced chef. The very best in our reckoning! The food delicious and service of the highest order, par excellence....hither greeted by three fabulous warm friendly, professional and engaging people to make this a wonderful memorable visit. I remember visiting here before in the 1970s; today by comparison I found the old traditional inner surroundings uplifted and blend so well around the bar - general dining area layout, ready to embrace on entry. I like the decor and cool blend of colours of the walls etc. the furniture and floor space all very cosy and chic. Also very clean and hygenic throughout - toilets too! A quaint little garden situated at the rear awaits you as you walk via the dining and bar area. At the bar, some traditional beers are on tap here, one of my favourites Adams Southwold Ale. I suggest weekday afternoons probably one of the best times for quiter relaxing moments. I do recall from the past the Inn very popular during visiting times evening and weekends.The Inn car park restricted (possibly about ten spaces maximum?), but beware as you approach Mill Place (immediately off Old Hill B264 / junction Bromley Road A222) - a very steep narrow downward bumpy lane (with potholes!...) as you approach the car park which is tucked away in a small grassy bank and dell below. But, an Inn definately worthy of a visit any time of day. I find here today a friendly cosy Inn ideal for couples, whether small groups of friends or family, or even alone to bide your time. This renowned local landmark stop point makes perfect for any rambler en route via their journey through nearby Chislehurst or Petts Wood Commons. Thanks so very much Ben, Abi and Kevin. In reality with my thoughts, this Inn is all about you in essence. Keep up the excellent work here at The Ramblers Rest, my wife and I will ramble return to your retreat sometime in the future - definately 👍 yes! Been coming here for 30 years we consider them a family friend But went in with a mate after helping clearing his flat and got treated like vermin. Got put at the back of the wrist Restaurant and when I asked does he want us here as we are a bit dusty he asked us to leave never going in again now I’m a regular at Mountain View up the road we was welcome with open arms.

We booked here on a whim a few days ago and I have to say, it was one of the best Indian meals I have ever eaten. The staff made both me and my partner Curries that weren't on the menu, my word were they delicious. We were in there a long time chatting and really enjoying ourselves. Our waiter was glorious, attentive and kind. Go here, you won't regret it. Edit, went back for new years eve meal - despite being the busiest restaurant I have ever been in, the service and food was impeccable. Cannot fault these guys.

NOT A BENGALI restaurant, yet a friendly regular British food joint. I didn't enjoy the bland food but I understand that the flavours were altered for Western palates. Why I am writing this review is because we had really gone all that way for a Bengali restaurant and there was nothing Bengali about the food. Not the South Indian papad (Bengalis have a whole range of fried foods), not the dry powered spices packed rice passed off as Biryani (not even Hyderabadi biryani), surely not the saag paneer (cottage cheese in spinach) which is a traditional north Indian dish but has a lot more character than just cottage cheese pieces tossed about in spinach lumps or stuffed parantha (another North Indian - not the mix vegetable stuffed parantha though). Even though all the food we had, along with the options on menu, are 'Indian', none of it was made very well. I understand that the restaurant is at the heart of the local community here and I hope the management chooses a more sensitive and authentic naming convention, along with a much-needed overhaul of the kitchen.

We had a great evening at valentine's Day. The host helped us choose what to eat and everything was lovely. Great prices and all the ingredients are fresh and well cooked. Lovely atmosphere, clean and all the people working were friendly. We will go again.

I was late on Saturday coming out of London around half ten and the gentleman here at Shaon we're extremely welcoming and committed to excellent customer service. The food was really great and I would highly recommend anyone from families to couples and single travellers like me to visit and enjoy the experience here. Thank you all for making my first visit in your restaurant a humbling one. Look forward to returning again soon.

I have walked past this Indian restaurant many times and have never thought to go in mainly because it looks quite dark and is sandwiched between a fish and chip shop and another nice restaurant with outside dining covered in by awnings. However my husband and I had been for a drink in a local pub and were hungry so we decided to see if it was open. It looked closed as it was dark inside. A gentleman opened the door for us and showed us to a table. Then the waiters took over and gave a first class service. They were extremely attentive without being annoying. We didn't have to wait for anything...they were well on the ball. It filled up very quickly so we knew this was a little gem in Chislehurst to eat. The food was amazingly authentic and very tasty. I wanted more but was too full to finish so we took home what we left for a midnight snack!! We will definitely return to this great restaurant that isn't full of bling, fancy lighting or fancy decor, but is clean, tidy and basic but full of charming waiters, a relaxing atmosphere and fantastic food. An gem of a restaurant been there 10 times over 6 years and the constant of quality is always the same a fantastic restaurant love it and fully recommend this place.

Unfortunately, Pizza Express left me with a terrible impression. It was a Saturday, and I simply wanted to enjoy a nice dinner. Instead, I ended up paying £22 for an awful experience, feeling like I just threw my money in the trash. First of all, the quality of the food was unacceptable. The chicken wings were not “Buffalo” at all, as the waitress told me is going to order for me — they were just oven-baked chicken legs made from extremely low-quality meat, with some Tabasco sauce poured on top. They were too soft like a jelly. It was awful. The salad was okay, but I found rotten or expired cherry tomatoes in it. I was also given sparkling water with ice and lemon already in the glass, without anyone asking me if I even wanted lemon or ice. I have high stomach acidity and cannot consume anything sour like lemons — this was completely inconsiderate. The service at the entrance was especially disappointing and terrifying. As soon as I walked in, the black girl didn’t even greet me — she just asked, “Are you a delivery?” I said no, I came in to eat. She pointed me to two uncomfortable tables near the entrance, even though I asked to sit somewhere more private or by the wall. She didn’t bother to check if other seats were available, spoke with hesitation, and showed zero willingness to help. It felt like she didn’t want to deal with me at all. I ended up complaining to another staff member, saying that this girl was doing nothing to help and basically left me with the option to either sit at the entrance or leave. He said, “No, you can sit over there or in another hall,” meaning there were options — she just didn’t want to offer them. Then, this same girl led me to a dirty table, where forks were scattered, and there was something lying on one of the chairs. Despite many clean and ready tables around, she chose that one for me. She awkwardly started gathering the cutlery, and the whole setup was messy, sloppy, and unwelcoming. I honestly felt like I had walked into some kind of back alley diner, not a restaurant. It was shocking. Only later did a different waiter approach — a polite and professional man who replaced my glass, brought me everything I needed, and checked if I was okay. He was the only positive part of this visit. Bottom line: I absolutely do not recommend this place. Maybe their pizza is good — I didn’t try it — but everything else, especially the service and atmosphere, was a disaster. I left feeling like I had just visited some careless, low-effort food joint rather than a place that values its customers.

Waiting team and the food was outstanding. We visit PE regularly and this branch completely outshone the others we visit. After visiting the Eastbourne branch recently and having a bad experience, we had almost given up on going but the visit to the Sidcup branch was excellent in every way. Well done to them

One of the best casual dining spots! Had a lovely time at Pizza Express ! The staff were super friendly and attentive, and the service was quick even though it was busy. The pizza was fresh, thin-crusted, and full of flavor — I highly recommend the . The atmosphere was cozy and family-friendly. Definitely a go-to place for a relaxed meal with great vibes. Will be back soon!

A mediocre experience, food was okay nothing special. The calamari was pretty disappointing, it was stodgy and you could tell it was frozen. Pizza was okay, at least the food was piping hot. Service wasn’t anything special just enough to get by. Not greeted at all by the female host who looked totally disinterested. No offers for more drinks or desserts by our waitress and everything seemed to take its time. Took awhile to get the bill but when it arrived I was asked if I wanted leave a tip on the card machine… of course it’s optional so I quickly declined. Would be reluctant to return.

Family meal for eleven. Online booking process was straightforward. Warm welcome. Service was very good. Food was fine although not outstanding. Mostly pizza on offer of course as you'd expect with other dishes like lasagne also available. I just think it lacks a bit of atmosphere/intimacy but not everyone is looking for that. There is free parking available in nearby streets if required.

We visited Wrattens mainly for the coffee shop located to the rear. Tucked away, we managed to get a table and enjoy a delicious lunch. Fresh cakes, tasty sandwiches and good coffee. A vast selection of clothes, accessories & homeware are also available, which is nice to look through afterwards.

What a great place, staff are very friendly. The service was so fast and the food was perfect. Great place for lunch or even takeaway. The jackets are always so massive and great value for money. Definitely worth the visit.

My favourite spot in chislehurst. Great selection of food for lunch and drinks. The smoothies are so good especially since they're only £3.95! The cake options are amazing and they change every other day. Really excited to try their afternoon tea, everybody always raves about it.

Great coffee and great quiche. Love the ever changing soup options. The staff are friendly and the service is quick, you can tell they really care.

Really poor service trying to get through on the phone trying to order...merchandise is excellent quality although too much linen. Need rather more collection of clothing. Too much of the same the of stuff.

The whole place just felt dirty, tired and a generally unpleasant place for a relaxing coffee. Marks all over the walls, ripped and stained furniture. Shame as the staff were lovely. Won’t be going back until it’s been sorted.

Popped in for a coffee and cake after a mornings walking. Everything was great. I marked service down as there isn't table service as with most coffee chains.

Sadly always come here. Today we ordered food and drinks. Went to pay but appears the card machines are down. Whilst my mother was drinking her hot chocolate they removed it from her and took my nephews food away from him. Claimed it was her credit card that wasnt working yet we tried 3 different cards all which have money on We would have gone to get cash out but instead left as they were exceptionally rude. It wasnt our fault there machines suddenly were not working. But werr made to feel like it was. Will not be returning. No need for such rude behaviour.

I always love Caffè Nero when I visit, but this particular Nero is great. Location is nice, near the duck pond, and staff are so lovely here! Really friendly, polite, and willing to go above and beyond to ensure your drink/food is exactly how you want it. Enjoyed my experience here today.

I love this branch! The staff are always so kind, approachable and super helpful. They don’t have to, but are more than happy to share when special offers come in that I can take advantage of e.g. ability to get speciality flavoured iced lattes included as part of the O2 deal if you use a reuseable cup. Love that!

Nice coffee shop, good space. A few comfy chairs rather than only one sofa. They play some nice music and if it's not too busy the baristas are able to chat and advise on drinks. Knowledgeable and friendly.

Love Annabels Too it is a reduced clothing shop with some lovely pieces! I went with my mum today - bought trousers and a top for £60 which was a quarter of the amount originally! Lovely ladies running the shop and will do anything to help you. Thank you both

Lovely gift shop! I felt so welcome when i went in with my daughter. It even smelt nice! We bought a few Christmassy things and i bought a Christmas decoration for someone and a gift bag. It was no problem at all for the lady at the counter to take off price labels, wrap and put in the gift bag. Amazing shop and service. Wish more shops were like annabels. Thank you

I’ve been into Annabel’s a few times now and it’s always so lovely to pop in and see what new treats they have available. The cakes are always nice and fresh and I know I can always find a gift for a birthday that’s coming up! And the staff have managed to keep the atmosphere personal and friendly even with face masks and the social distancing measures in place.

I'm am sad to give this place three stars, because it deserves 5. The tea selection isn't huge, but it is varied. The cake selection is pretty standard, but they are delicious. The gift range is very much in the style of the shop, but high quality. My reasons for only giving three stars are that, the bathroom doesn't have baby changing facilities, nor is it wheelchair accessible. And sadly one staff member, I felt, was quite rude when asked about the baby changing facilities.

Real English tea shop, serving many varieties of teas (in proper China cups and saucers) and beautiful cakes. Our favourite stop for a wonderful tea shop experience. Wonderful and interesting range of gifts and greetings cards, too. Highly recommended.

Beautiful shop with so many lovely gifts for Christmas. Definitely worth a visit. Lovely, helpful, friendly staff who are happy to gift wrap your presents. They even do a selection of delicious homemade cakes and teas.

My favourite shop by far. Beautiful items on sale at such good prices you’re spoilt for choice. (I often go in for gifts and end up buying a bag load of stuff for myself.) Helpful, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and the best tea & cakes for miles around. AND it’s open seven days a week. Love it!

I've been many times, and inevitably one time I forgot to scan my receipt for parking. £50 charge. Ridiculously disproportionate with no reasonable route of recourse. I certainly hold it against this store and Sainsbury's in general that they feel it is appropriate to employ a dodgy third party to fleece their customers - surely there are other ways to keep the carpark for paying customers, but they couldn't be bothered.

Staff not really polite. Miserable in fact. As if it is a hinderence to be there. Woefully understaffed. One till open for everyone. 7 customers waiting. Lots of staff walking around. Self service tills full but they do not cater for families with children or the elderly. This place has gone downhill over the years and it shows. As well as it being really drab.

Brilliant I love their foods!

This was our first visit. Six of us dined. We went on a quiet night so it wasn't busy so it's difficult to comment on the atmosphere although the place is huge and would guess that it would be buzzing on a night when there is entertainment. The welcome was pleasant and there was lots of seating which was comfortable. There is a car park but you need to register your registration at the reception. We had starters and mIn courses. Starters were ok. The calamari and halloumi was very good, the meatballs could have done with a little seasoning and the sauce could have been thicker. The stuffed fine leaves were ok. For the mains we had giros and mixed grill. These were large portions which we struggled to eat. It was standard stuff and well cooked but was just lacking something to make it memorable. The service was good although it was a quiet night. There is also an 11% service charge added. If I go again it would be on a night when there is entertainment. Overall we paid just under £250.00 for starter, main and one drink.

Came for a hen party. Slow service for the bottomless brunch. Our table was late for us to sit down and it was almost two hours before we got starters. Food was good! Most staff were lovely though they get annoyed at our table for taking too long to work out the bill payment. Dancing and music was pretty good too!

Thank you for an amazing evening. We had a party upstairs for the second year in a row. We were able to get in early to set it up. The staff are so helpful and kept checking on us to make sure we was ok. The food was delicious as always. Music was great, gave the dj my playlist and he worked from that. Everyone was up and dancing. Thank you to the management team who helped to make it all possible. Will definitely be back next year.

Fantastic Greek Restaurant. Lovely staff and big venue. We had an upstairs area for a party. Was plenty of room with a balcony included. Expensive drinks but lovely food served. Great location with lots of parking too. The staff are amazing. Most are kind and friendly. We've also been for a family wedding anniversary meal. It was very nice with great food. The only downside is the loud music. Great for a Nightclub but not nice at a restaurant. We couldn't hear eachother. Apart from this the place is great. Worth Visiting.

Restaurant with very nice, comfortable and warm fit out. There is quite a large selection of Greek main dishes and meze, incuding fish and vegetarian. Except for main menu dishes they offer couple of options of shares plates - meze, greek, and mix. Prices are moderate/moderate high for some dishes. We have tried today greek sharing platter which was not bad but nothing special as for the price. What I would suggest to improve: 1. Salad very basic - literally 3 olives to share between 2 people (I was expecting to have plenty olives in greek dish). Lack of any of herb such parley etc Very basic veg - standard cutted tomato, cucumber, onion, pepers, and 3 olives. Papers very hard - culd be grilled it will completely change the salad. 2. Too much chips, covered with small amount of like chicken done meat cut very small so hard to get it from between chips. 3. Only 2 sauses - from which one of them sort of clean mayo - tasteless we did not eat much of it, second one nice tzaziki unfortunately not enough even for for 1 person. 4. Meat quite ok, sausage was very tasty but 1 only again for two people. In general not much distinctive for Greece but ok, with not much lamb served in this restaurant.

One of the best meals I’ve had this year. Each course was delicious, and the chef clearly cares about presentation and quality. Excellent wine list, too.

Linklater Warren Chislehurst are always so friendly and helpful. It's a pleasure to be a patient there. Jasmine was excellent at my eye examination, especially as I have a stigmatism and it takes quite a lot to get that right in my lenses. She explained everything so clearly. I was also given lots of friendly advice to choose a second pair of glasses that I needed and very happy with what I have chosen. I didn’t want anything too expensive as they were a second pair and the lady helped so much to find something stylish, but cost effective. Thank you so much.

Jasmine my optician was excellent. She took her time in listening to me and my eye issues and expertly guided me through what was going to happen and why with the examinations. A fully upto date and very comfortable opticians. They have become my opticians.

Incredibly friendly, clear and professional service, everyone was extremely welcoming and a pleasure to work with as we went through my eye exam and selecting some frames. I was made to feel at ease, but informed throughout and appreciate the care the team clearly have for what they do. I would happily and highly recommend this excellent opticians.

This is such a friendly and helpful opticians. My 2 year developed problems with his eyes and the speed and ease of care they have provided has been amazing. Nothing is ever too much trouble, they’re always on hand to help (without charge wherever possible) every time his glasses get squashed (with a 2 year old this happens frequently!). Honestly couldn’t recommend them more.

I felt like i was really looked after at Linklater and Warren Opticians, Chislehurst. The testing was very well explained and all my questions answered. The extensive testing to look in the back of my eye was also very well explained and knowledgeable. I also found the sales technicians friendly and not pushy - much better than Specsavers who were a complete waste of time

Josephine spent a long time patiently diagnosing the problems I was having with my sight. She was empathic and professional. After my cataract surgery, I have had six tests with a well known high street chain and purchased six pairs of spectacles that did not improve the clarity of my vision. Josephine explained that I had been trying to read using the incorrect lens on my varifocals and only needed reading glasses. I bought a pair yesterday and now I can see clearly. I am very impressed.

I have visited this shop twice now to buy cricket equipment for my son. I live in Gravesend so its a bit of a drive but utterly worth it. The knowledge of the shop owners is incredible and the advice they give you in selecting the right equipment is second to none. You will get items cheaper online for sure but will it be the right size, make etc. Shops like this are a rarity and we must do everything we can to support them. I can't wait to visit them again when my next son needs kitting out.

I popped in as was curious of the window display. Didn’t realise it’s mainly a cricket shop but ended up with a couple of bits anyway. The owners were super friendly and I ended up stopping for about a 20 minute chat 😅 absolutely lovely couple!

Robert did a great job of cutting through both my engagement ring and wedding ring which were stuck on my finger after 25 years. I was really worried about the damage to the rings but Robert did a fantastic job repairing them afterwards making them both look like new. I never wore my wedding ring, engagement and eternity ring together and also they were yellow gold when I prefer wear white now. For a couple of years I had wondered how to combine them as I wanted to keep my blessed wedding ring within the design, along with the sentimental value attached to the other rings too. As soon as we met with Robert he had ideas to suggest - he is so experienced. he can see how the actual end product will look and listens very carefully to what you had in your own thoughts too. The shop feels special with amazing bespoke, one of a kind items of jewellery that Robert has designed and made. He took the yellow gold from the rings to make a middle ring which he set with the large diamond from my engagement ring with the eternity ring stones down either side and then encased that with a white gold ring either side of that one. I went back for one fitting appointment and then back to collect the completed ring. It was very emotional for me, it was presented beautifully for me to unwrap when I arrived and it was simply stunning. Robert obviously takes enormous pride in what he does, is so skilled and I felt he really enjoys providing that very special moment for his clients. He showed genuine pleasure in witnessing how happy I was. I cannot recommend Robert Bicknell highly enough and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Nice recreational ground w incredible bear carvings! Though, you'll find in some areas lots of litter, dog mess, graffiti on trees, and local youths in the wooded areas getting high. *TIP: Great for a daytime short walk or a jog here, but not when it's getting dark

Open green area bordered by Walden Woods on the west side and Whyte's Woodland on the right. Forms part of the Chislehurst Bears Trail.

Big open park with well kept fields. Trees are big and splendid. Birds chatting away and happy. Only bad things is sometimes the tremendous amount of litter left on the sides of the footpaths. Use the dustbins people!!

A very nice area for kids and well behaved dogs, look for the Chislehurst Bears that can be found up trees, on paths and all around the area.

A lovely town park with a play area for the children and a wooded area aiding in the conservation of our local wildlife. The park is a good area for sports offering both a large and small expanse for a variety of activities as well as tennis courts. The park also plays host to the annual Chislehurst Rocks, a small family festival as well as the annual fireworks.

Great place for kids & dog walking Come visit the bear carvings and fantastic park for the little ones, has improved so much since I've moved here & soon to be a new cafe. Exciting!.

The lovely ladies at CB were just fantastic . The shop is so beautifully curated and smells wonderful. You feel as if you are in a really intimate setting and having a luxury experience. This was the first time I had felt truly comfortable in a bridal wear shop. Dawn seemed to know exactly what I was after and is very knowledgeable. I found the most beautiful dress for my wedding day last year. Thank you so much <3

From the first appointment Dawn made me feel comfortable and confident. She helped me think through exactly what I wanted my dress to be like on the day and work out what styles suited me best. She has such a calm and caring manner - she really listened and gave honest, kind feedback when I asked for her input. The dress ordering process and subsequent try-ons and fittings were so easy and a really enjoyable process. I was married back in September 2024, and my stunning dress came from Chislehurst Bridal. I visited the store last year and the service I received, I was over the moon with. The lady who runs the shop never rushed me to make a decision and she had some of the most beautiful dresses I ever tried on. The quality was comparable to Mayfair shops. I highly recommend visiting!!

Cannot recommend this bridal shop enough. As soon as you walk in, they make you feel very relaxed and welcome. During my first visit, I tried on a few dresses but unfortunately didn’t find the one. Dawn advised that they were due to receive more designs over the coming months and would let me know if something came in that matched the style I was after. A couple of months later, I still hadn’t found a dress but luckily I received an email from Dawn saying a dress had just arrived that she thought I should try on. It turned out to be perfect! The process was very smooth from start to finish. Everyone I met was really friendly and experienced. Thank you again Chislehurst Bridal!

I got my wedding dress from Chislehurst Bridal for my wedding in August this year and had the most amazing experience! Dawn was so kind and helpful and gave great advice and the shop has a great selection of beautiful dresses. Dawn helped me find the perfect dress and most beautiful veil. I found it on my first time trying dresses and she was more than happy for me to come back and try it again after I'd seen some other dresses. I felt so special and well looked after. It's a good little store that you can pick stuff up from in a quick fix if you're heading to/from the station, and has a little post office inside that you can also have amazon parcels delivered to! As with every costcutter, however, it *is a little pricey*, but not much more pricey than a Co-op to be fair.

Worst experience! Shelf prices completely different to prices on the till. The staff are so rude especially the bald white man he shouted at me because I complained about their errors with the pricing as I was on a budget and nothing was even priced properly !! Then 2 of the other staff started also being rude. I DO NOT recommend shopping her at all terrible customer service and terrible shop.

Great selection! I was positively surprised of the variety of products, not your usual Costcutter. Good to see a refill station. Plus for large variety of canned beers, including one type of Sour beer (which there could be more of, especially as the summer is approaching and it’s a perfect refreshing summer beer).

This is a nice shop, always well stocked, especially their beer and wine selection - they have a really good selection. They also have a nice bakery. However, items are expensive but that is to be expected in a shop like this as you’re paying for the convenience (next to the station). However - the staff are rude. Only on a couple of times I’ve been there I’ve felt the staff have been friendly (the one lady who works there is always friendly). Most of the other times the staff don’t really acknowledge you when you pay, throw a bag at you if you ask for one, and one time I questioned a price because it was different to the advertised price and the guy didn’t want to know and very rudely told me ‘this is the price’ and that I was wrong.

Watch yourself at this store. Some of the employees are dishonest and rude. Check the scales. They are not always set to zero meaning higher charges. Also always check your receipt as till prices can be different to shelf prices. Today they tried to charge me double for a bacon multipack. Outrageous. We always try to shop elsewhere as there have been too many mistakes for it to be human error. These guys are thieves. Pure and simple.

Biggest issue I have is that shelf prices regularly don't match the till price (till price is always higher, sometimes by as much as 50%) so make sure you check so you don't get caught out. Other than that, great shop, great staff (I have never experienced any issues that others have flagged).... but corner shop convenience prices, as you'd expect.

Having been refurbished this is now an Excellent local store which doubles up as a post office! It’s more than twice the size as what it appears - great selection food, drink, freezer section, fresh fruit and veg, large selection of beers and wines too, with some really good vines.

My dogs are both very anxious and grooming can be a bit of a nightmare for everyone involved. Bettie is amazing and she even says they are well-behaved when they calm down (which I'm still not sure I believe, but I'll take it thank you very much) and they look and smell lovely to boot. Thank you for looking after them. :)

Great Salon for my happy well-groom Chizu. I think He loves Betty now more than his Bossing. This is an amazing place to bring your fur babies when you want them to be pampered! Chizu will definitely comes back for his well-deserved spa day!

Honey recently had her first grooming session at Doggies Salon, and it was a fantastic experience! The booking process was incredibly simple and hassle-free. When Honey was done, not only did she look beautiful (and smelled amazing), but the best part was how happy she was. Bettie, the groomer, was so friendly and really understood how much my dog means to me <3 We’ll definitely be returning!

Today was my 1st visit with my little dog who is normally nervous with new people. Bettie was so gentle with her and did such a lovely job. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Bettie you're a star!

My puppy, Rufus, had a wonderful groom here. It was his first groom and they were lovely, kind and caring. He came back clean, happy and smelling lovely. We are really pleased with the wonderful service that Doggies provides and will be back, thank you!

My dog has never enjoyed going to the groomers. I have recently moved into the area and booked him in at Doggies Salon. I was so surprised when I picked him up from Doggies, how happy and clearly comfortable he was. I have never seen him that happy after a haircut. The salon is lovely and a calm place for anxious dogs like mine. His haircut was perfect and he smelt amazing! We will definitely be booking in again.

Our favourite charity shop - staff are extremely friendly. Shop is always well organised, priced very fairly with a great range to browse. The themed events are our favourite, they go to so much effort on Christmas in particular and their bridal event in Spring. Would recommend!

Hopefully somebody donates a pair of glasses as I think Chris Hopkins needs some new ones

This is the worst charity shop ever. The staff are extremely rude and condescending when you donate. I will use the British Heart Foundation or Cancer Research in the future, even if I have to drive further. This is supposed to be a Christian organisation.

Well I love the place the Ladies are so nice helpful and a good S O H most of the things on sale are very cheep not like in Bromley all the shops are asking far to much for there stuff what they should do for a quick sale is keep the prices down I buy something everyday even if it's only 50 pence
