This is a really nice shopping centre. It's not massive, but it's clean and modern. It has a good range of shops, including a large department store, a cinema and a library. There are several floors, although only the ground floor seems to be occupied with shops. The first floor appears to be completely under-utilised, as there are not too many shops there, and quite a few vacant units. The toilets are on the second floor and they are clean and well-maintained. There are lifts and escalators in the shopping centre, making it accessible for everyone. In contrast to the shopping centre being very modern, the car park is the complete opposite. It is very old and needs to be modernised. There are lots of tight turns and it is quite poorly lit in places. There are also lots of homeless people camped in there in tents, which makes it feel quite unsafe, especially in the evenings. They are often being very loud and I have witnessed them smoking and drinking in there too. They close the entrances to the shopping centre quite early, so if you need access to the car park, you have to go in via one of the side entrances. They don't really make this clear, so I was walking around for a while before I worked out how to get back in. Maybe they could let customers know this, by displaying the information on the closed gate? Overall, a decent shopping centre, but it has the potential to be so much better.

Toilets always have a queue, the soap dispensers never has any soap. The lifts are always out of order. The parking is astronomically expensive. I would not recommend this shopping centre to any visitor to Cambridge. Has the usual shops nothing unusual or particularly exciting. Theres only two floors and the second floor is not worth going to. All in all for all the swish decor its all looks but no substance.

The Grand Arcade is a shopping center with access to John Lewis at the far end on three levels. Can't give it many stars as shopping centers in my book are best avoided. The shopping center is on three levels. Most on the ground, a few up one level and toilets and gallery on the top. Love there is a Raspberry PI shop, hate there are mobile phone shops. Who buys a mobile phone from a bricks and mortar shop. The loos are up one level, at least the ones I found. On a second visit, and urgent visit they were closed. Luckily John Lewis is easily accessed and they also have loos on all levels. Costa for coffee, but it was closed.

Good shopping mall in the center of the small town. The mall is spread across three floors. Good place to shop, eat and enjoy. Nicely decorated during the festive seasons. There is Tesla store on the ground floor. Nice place to spend with family.

A small shopping mall or large shopping precinct depending on how you look at it. Has some nice shops, most notably the John Lewis department store, and very conveniently located in the centre of Cambridge. The car park here is probably the best to use if you are spending the day in the city centre.

Really, I would give two stars purely for the fact that most of the shops in Grafton are closed, for whatever reason. It's a nice space. We mostly visit for shopping. It is nice that there is a cinema on sight, seats are comfy, especially for the kids. Nice clean toilets and a decent space. Other than that, cannot really comment further.

The area is really great, loads of places in this area, even there are a lots of eating places, shopping areas and even a mall. Most of the necessary items are found here. Also, lots of sitting place along with beaches or chairs are provided in this area. This makes travelling with elderly people easy if they want to take a a break somewhere for a few minutes.

This shopping mall used to have a lot of shops which was great and fun but now it feels dead with only a few shops remaining. I understand its going to be a science lab or something, which is a new start and also a big change, but I will definately miss the times that the mall has lots of shops and things. Its so sad how all the big memories from this mall now come to an end....

It’s sad seeing people’s disappointment when they park here and realise they’re still being charged a lot but none of the shops, cinema or food places are open any more. There are still a few shops like Decathlon and Gails at the Fitzroy Street end, and toilets too, but the rest is going to become labs.

The Grafton has definitely improved compared to how it used to be, but it still feels like a work in progress. There are a few solid shops that make it worth a visit – I usually pop into H&M or Decathlon, and The Entertainer is great if you're shopping for kids. There's also Bubble CiTea and a Caffè Nero with some outdoor seating, which is nice when the weather holds. That said, some parts of the centre still feel a bit empty or in transition. You can see they’re aiming for something more modern and community friendly with all the redevelopment; new open spaces, a stronger focus on food spots, even plans for labs and office spaces; but right now it’s not quite there yet. It’s a decent place if you’re in the area, especially with Fitzroy Street right next to it, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit unless I needed something specific. Still, it’s heading in a better direction than a lot of older shopping centres.

Today I parked at level -2 . Upon entrance, signage mentioned lifts were not working . I accepted this and continued to park on level -2 . I was kindly helped to level -1 where I got a lifting by a staff member cleaning the car park. I went out and then returned to pay for my ticket at the machine. Due to the lift only going to level -1 I went to the north lift and ended up in the bike sales area. I was lost and was then pointed to the south lift. Once I got to level -1. I had to get a member of public down to level -2 . However once getting to the payment barrier it asked me for a further £4.90. Both staff members were rude and unhelpful. I explained my situation and that I had a baby and a pram to carry down. They were not understanding and insisted that I pay the £4.90 extra as I did overstated a “10 minute grace period”. I asked to speak to a manager , they said there wasn’t one one. I asked for the name of the staff member and he said his name was plazej, . He wouldn’t give me a surname . I found the whole handling of this unacceptable. There’s were no ramps or walkways , nor was there any accessible access. I paid for my parking and the lack of service provided to me as a paying customer is simply not good enough. The service and attitude from staff members also lacked any empathy or understanding of the situation, they instead aimed to blame me rather than find a solution. Absolutely appalling service. I request a refund , and a written apology from Pazej. I also expect all staff members to be adequately trained to provide a service that helps. “Help” button should be a direct call to someone helping, not someone with a bad attitude who blames the customer .

Take a walk in the high street and enjoy the outdoor fresh air. Loads of stores to explore. A busy part of the town so keep your wits about you when crossing the road.

Large shopping centre with lots of named brands like Topman/Topshop, H. Samuel jewelry, boost, Newlook, JD sports, Boots, foreign currency exchange, sports direct, calender club, Specsavers, Jamaica Blue, Holland and Barrett, Tiger, 3 store, Levi's, River Island, Vision express etc. Has large public toilet. There is a free entry public library in the centre for a quick read, free WiFi and phone recharging. Nice place to meet up in groups.

Very small joined on to Grand Arcade. Great use of empty space is putting in things like a rocket and educational displays

Was just roaming around Cambridge and came in here to see if anything interesting. I love the Christmas Theme as you can see from my video :) We were delighted to buy chocolates from Hotel Chocolat. Plenty of shops to explore....

Nice coffee but no wifi. Upstairs was messy because most tables were not cleared from cups. Also, no toilet!

I found Cambridge Market Square underwhelming. For such a historic and vibrant city, I expected something more distinctive and rooted in the local culture. Instead, the stalls felt generic, selling things that could be found in almost any market elsewhere. There wasn’t much that felt uniquely “Cambridge” about it. The food options were particularly disappointing. Nothing stood out as something I’d want to try again, and the prices were on the high side for what was being offered. I wouldn’t really choose to eat there, especially when there are so many better places around the city. Overall, the market lacks character and originality. It doesn’t showcase local produce, crafts, or specialties in a way that would make it worth visiting. Honestly, there’s nothing that makes it feel like a must-see in Cambridge—it could just as easily be anywhere else.

Cambridge is a market city, and stalls have been trading at the historic market square in the city centre since the middle ages. From Monday-Sunday, 10am-4pm, you will find stalls selling a wide range of goods including: Street Food, Books, Vinyl, CDs and DVDs Clothes, jewellery and bags Fruit and vegetables, fresh fish and health foods Second hand bikes Garden plants Mobile phones and accessories ...and much more!

Very expensive stuff (tourist prices) but a great variety of food & drink including organic, trinkets and souvenirs here. We had some nice Malaysian-Japanese take away. Cam Cattle sells great steak here at the weekend - sells quickly though so best to visit in the morning.

There weren’t as many stalls as I expected, to be honest. It’s quite small even smaller than some neighborhood markets back in Turkey. But we got lucky and found a Turkish stand selling gözleme, and it was absolutely amazing! That definitely made our day 🥹

Great place to shop. Due to tier 4 restrictions some shop allow clients to enter and other shops make you shop in the sidewalk. Waiting lines were no too long. Update 2023: beehive is crowded, even during weekends

Plentiful of parking, bit chaotic when busy, especially getting in and out of the car park. I would say very awkward junctions when coming out of TK maxx/ Asda area. Else generous 4 hour parking with lots of stores around.

I like this shopping centre. It's terrible they want to develop it, far less facilities/shops for residents. Great selection of shops, particularly appreciate Asda, M&S and Hobbycraft. Gymfinity is fun for kids. A couple of cafes (Costa and in M&S), Pets at Home. Plenty of disabled parking and served by buses.

The shops are okay, the parking is fine, the shoppers often don't know how to drive around the car park without putting people at risk but some of the shops are nice. As others are saying, the surrounding shops during rush hour are a nightmare

Freakish shop, full of interesting stuff, you can find perfect and cool gifts for friends and family. Prices are normal, staff very nice, if you were in Cambridge give it a visit.

Having seen Ark products in many London gallery / museum gift shops I was excited to visit the original shop on a visit to Cambridge. The products are great, the staff are lovely but the shop is overpacked. There isn't room to swing the tiniest of cats which doesn't make for a pleasant shopping experience.

Bad Quality and Bad Design The handle snapped in no time. I wasn't even carrying much in the bag. It is difficult to hold the weight of the bag with just a little knob. See the images here. My opinion is that if you want a sort of fashionable-looking bag just for a month then this may be the brand for you but for me I don't think this is not worth it.

I would not recommend this to anything but standing on a shelf. Those bags do look great indeed, but the utility is just... abysmal. I've been trying really hard to convince myself it is a everyday bad for a year. And every single day I used it was just a nightmare. The convenience and feel of the bag makes me think whoever designed that did not even attempt to make it comfortable or easy to use. I give up, back to my old £15 no name brand bag.

I'm in love with this place and continue to get their bags for special occasion gifts to myself. If you sign up for their emails you get notifications for their awesome seasonal sales too.

Bustling street with a variety of historic buildings, most now housing cafés and gift shops. Excellent views of the magnificent buildings of King's College. Easily walkable from the city center, though much busier than The Backs, another excellent viewpoint on the opposite side of the river. Plenty of wall plaques on the significant buildings to read, and the Corpus Clock is an interesting installation worth seeing while here.

Very touristy place with lots of shops and restaurants geared towards the tourist crowds. Okay views and buildings (honestly I have seen more charming places in continental Europe). Cyclists are a big hazard as they don't seem to know how to slow down in pedestrian zones.

We took the Footprints walking tour. Mike (our tour guide) made it great fun. 2 hours is only time for a taster but he kept it entertaining and had plenty of interesting facts about the colleges, the city and student life. Just what we had in mind when we booked, just the job.

Great Store Absolutely love the cheese of this store. The cheese in this store is creamy and soft. Not very salty. Raw cheese available. The store also has other imported or exclusive things like cold meat, crackers, pickles, canned fish and chocolate. As a reminder, it doesn't open on Sunday.

A superb and incredibly well stocked store. The staff were super friendly, knowledgeable, and very keen to help and advise. We tried some cheeses including Stinking Bishop, which was a bit too much for me I'll be honest, but left with some maida vale, a blue and another semi soft which I forget the name of. A must visit for any casual cheese appreciator when in the area. Great shop.

This is now our favorite cheese shop in England! Every cheese in these shop is worth trying. You can see that quality is of utmost importance to the proprietors. Camilla was a fountain of information. Ask her anything regarding cheese produced by cow, sheep or goat. You will learn new things and you will eat amazing cheeses :))) If we lived in Cambridge, we would visit this shop every week. Scarlet was the person who helped us with our order. She had only been employed at the shop for three months and she described the different cheeses we asked about with grace and competence. This was another example of how this shop cares about the quality of your experience. You can also find the most wonderful condiments and biscuits to accompany your cheese. A wonderful place!

An excellent example of how well a small business can thrive when the staff and approachable and highly knowledgeable about their craft. Come here with an open mind, sample some interesting cheese and try something new. Also selling wines, olives, hot sauces and dried goods, it’s a great place to visit on a weekend to enliven your weekday meals ahead. Excited to go back again

Lovely little shop on a quite street, quite picturesque really, stopped off her with my 2 year old daughter, we wanted something little to eat for a snack and she loves Olives, the staff were really friendly and knowledgeable, the olives were delicious too. Plentiful of parking, big spaces for parents and children parking. Hectic when busy but generous 4 hour parking. Sad that there are many stores that have closed in the area, Argos, Homebase and now Sports direct. Need some more stores fillings in those empty spaces.

Lovely shopping experience. 4 hours free parking. Although construction still underway in the parking lot, it didn’t cause too much of an inconvenience. Visited Dunelm and Boots. Both very well stocked. Next time I’ll visit their Lidl for some freshly baked goodies.

Good sized shops for looking at products you want to buy in our case we needed a new dish washer and went in to currys, the store is large with great range of products. We also wished to look in sports direct, but unfortunately they have closed that store down, which is a shame.

There are a range of shops spread over quite a large area. A very large car park in sections that serve each group of shops. Shops include Currys Boots Lidl furniture shops Dunelm Halfords. There are two large supermarkets not within the retail park, but within easy driving distance, ASDA and Tesco.

I went to Halford, staff was friendly then I went to Dunelm cafe, and the guy was there so angry. Threw the tea pot towards me, some spilt. I asked are you okay, are you tired. He said I am too hot, can't handle it, it's too hot. His behaviour is strange. Several things we name it, they didn't have it

This is easily one of the best bookshops I have ever been to. It's kind of hidden from the main shopping area and looks quite small from outside, but it is absolutely massive inside, and packed full of books from floor to ceiling (literally!) across several floors. Bookshops like this just don't exist anymore and it almost feels like you're taking a step back in time. The atmosphere is really pleasant and it's incredibly fun to just browse the shelves and find something interesting to read. They have a huge selection of books, so I can easily spend hours browsing in here. They also sell toys and gifts too. The staff are friendly and helpful, and I've never had to wait too long to be served. They have a large clearance section, selling books at heavily-discounted prices. In addition, there is a second hand book section, where you can bag some excellent bargains, if you don't mind buying used books. This is a fantastic bookshop and if you like books, you will absolutely love this bookshop!

Heffers becomes one of my favourite bookshops since I first visited two months ago. It is a cultural sanctuary from the extremely busy and touristy weekend Cambridge. You can find books in many different categories. The best thing to me is that it’s very easy to navigate the shop and the books. Many books are displayed on tables or facing out from shelves so it is convenient to find what you want. On top l, although not many, they do have sofas where you can sit and enjoy reading.

My 12 year old daughter is a bookworm and thought the shop was beautiful. We spend ages browsing and obviously didn't come out empty handed. Lovely staff too. It was recommended by a friend and well worth the visit.

I was dissapointed with my visit here, the shop was full of cultural and religious items without understanding of their significance. It is disrespectful to display and sell Hindu and Buddhist items as decorative pieces. On top of this, the staff was rude and hostile, I felt wholly unwelcome in the shop.

I only discovered this place quite recently, but each time I go there I want to buy the entire shop! I specifically go for crystals and I can genuinely tell they’re authentic and each piece is magical, and they’re always different too! Aside for that, the shop has this wonderful energy which makes me feel so at peace just by entering! I recommend this shop to everyone. This is a wonderful shop. OK, a little more pricey than other gift shops but there is something in the old comment that you get what you pay for. The quality of objects on sale at Nomads is far above that of the normal tourist tat which is so often seen in establishments selling so-called 'ethic' goods. Was very sad to hear about the fire and I really hope the owner finds a way out of his problems and Nomads comes back like the proverbial phoenix!

Such an beautiful shop, filled with amazing hand made gifts from around the globe. Block printed textiles, hand embroidered bags from Gujarat, brass, pottery, bedding and a huge selection of jewellery. All helping to keep traditional crafts alive and the people and families who make them. Staff are lovely and laid back.

Visited last week for the first time and absolutely loved it! As an avid unique bag collector this shop was a total dream! Left with a fun bag and ended up ordering another one online shortly after!

Amazing service, ordered a Pride and Prejudice cross-body bag via the website on Tuesday 30th Jan, it arrived on Wednesday 31st. Love the little touches of a handwritten thank-you note and the chupa chub lolly (bag is for my daughter for her birthday so the lolly has been wrapped up with it. I will definitely be looking what else the company has to offer.

Brilliant selection of beautiful, fun and quality gifts. I bought a few things for myself as well as doing my Christmas shopping... The customer service ordering online was amazing - I was in the middle of moving house and they made sure to hold everything and send it out once I'd moved. They also included a lovely note explaining how they'd discreetly marked each wrapped item in case I wanted to keep them wrapped, so I would know which was which. Above and beyond - still my favourite shop in Cambridge, even when I can't go in and browse in person.

The refund policy was not made clear at the time of purchase. If you buy in store, they will only refund to a credit note. If you buy online, you can get a refund to your credit card as is normal with most highstreet shops. I bought a dress for my wife for her birthday and since she didn't like it and there were no other dresses she liked in store, I am now stuck with over £145 credit note. I made it clear I was buying a gift and may need to return if my wife didn't like the dress, but no one said I could only get a refund to a credit note if I bought in store.

I usually find shopping for clothes quite stressful but the women in the shop made it so easy. I needed a dress for my friend's wedding and I found the perfect one. They were so helpful and encouraging and even helped me to find shoes to go with it. They made me feel so comfortable. Thank you, thank you, thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Cannot send e mail to company to complain. But the “owner” answered the phone straight away when the assistant called while calling in a separate room to say cannot give full refund on how paid …. Lovely visit this week for a browse! Only my second time in a non-food shop since lockdown lifted. Felt very safe. Gorgeous jewellery, dresses, and gifts. Bought a book and greetings cards. Had a lovely chat with the shop assistant, Casey too. Will be popping in again soon I'm sure. Independents need our support now more than ever :-) :-) :-)

It was one of the best experiences I have ever had. If you visit Cambridge, this should be definitely in your bucket list. To go punting in river Cam. It was a wonderful experience. You can book a boat for yourself, or you can share a boat, and if you're confident enough, you can ride on your own.

If you’re in Cambridge, make sure to go “punting” on the River Cam. Rent a boat for £30, spend a few hours paddling down the river. You’ll cross the Bridge of Sighs, the Mathematical Bridge, and many others. Many guided tours available. The red boats offer alcohol for sale. Excellent leisure activity in the afternoon with family or friends.

As soon as my boat start journey I feel I’m in a magical land for the time of my River Cam tour on the punt. Can’t explain the atmosphere in words. A must experience thing in the whole of Cambridge. The weather was cold but bright day and got some pics. I would recommend not focusing on taking pictures much coz you’ll loose the feel of the punting trip. This river is a source of great nature beauty, swans, bridges as well as colleges universities n many historical buildings. There must b lovely walks especially in summer or spring when the weather is on peak n gives u all to make an amazing atmosphere.

I was in a magical land for that one hour in River Cam on the punt. Can’t explain the ambience in words. A must must visit in the whole of UK. We went in late November, but the weather was kind and got some amazing pictures. I would recommend not focusing on taking pictures much coz you’ll loose the feel of the punting trip.

The total experience of punting down the River Cam in the educational city of Cambridge was so awesome. It was exciting and calming at the same time, passing under various bridges and flanked by historic buildings like St. John's College and Queen's College among others. The views are picturesque and breathtakingly beautiful.

Really nice experience at the Gin Lab. Our mixology teacher was great and fun. I had a good time, learnt and tasted some really tasty gins!

I did the 'Make It' experience which was very fun and interesting, we learned about how gins were made and then tried all the different flavours to make our own gin. We get to keep the notes of our recipe and would be able to reorder the bottle (or buy it on the spot) with our recipe via online or phone. So that'll be a nice souvenir to bring back home. We were also given a glass of gin and tonic to accompany our class and the lady was very helpful and insightful. For those who want to just pop in the shop to buy a bottle of gin, they also have very nice and well maintained display. You can also try them first before you buy them.

Even though I’m not a fanatic Gin drinker and/or a chemistry fan (I just never really understood it 🙈😂) this workshop of making your own Gin was absolutely brilliant. The way that Jenna told and taught the whole process and history of Gin making was so inspiring and so much fun. This little woman has the spirit (no pun intended 😂) of a carnival ride on steroids. And it’s contagious ❤️🙏🏻. Everyone sat there, listening and watching her, telling everything about Gin. So, if you want a really nice afternoon, and you’re interested in Gin, PLEASE go to the Gin Laboratory and follow a workshop. Well worth the money (£35 p.p.). 🥳😎🙏🏻

An absolute must-visit! One of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had. I chose the Make-it class, where we learned about the fascinating history of gin before creating our own tailor-made blend. You can even purchase a bottle of your very own gin to take home! Jaz was amazing - engaging, knowledgeable, and such a pleasure to listen to. After the class, we even tried their Anty gin… complete with real ants on the side! The other classes looked fantastic too. Overall, a truly unforgettable experience. If you visit Cambridge, you simply have to visit the Cambridge Gin Laboratory!

We did the 1hr gin making class as a birthday present - tutor was knowledgeable and personable, making it a fun and interesting experience. Would recommend.

As a gin lover this place was on my list during my day visit to Cambridge. It's located in the heart of the city. The place is small and cosy. The gin is locally made and they have workshops on how to make your own drinks. They have great gin cocktails on the go and to shop from them bottles too. This place is highly recommended if you're into gin. You should check out this amazing gem in Cambridge.

My son and I did the ‘Make It’ experience which he had gifted me. It was a fantastic hour plus of fun, information and LOTS of gin! Great value for money with the option of taking home a bottle of your creation assuming it’s drinkable! Max, our host, was full of nuggets of gin related trivia - and not so trivial and ran the afternoon with humour and prowess. You could also sample some of the gins they make. Other experiences are also on offer - or you can just mooch around their shop, chat to the lovely staff and buy a bottle of their delicious and vibrant gin.

Absolutely loved this place! The sausage and mushroom pizza was delicious and very filling. The pistachio tiramisu was absolutely scrumptious — I highly recommend everyone give it a try. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere was cosy yet bustling. We made a reservation in advance, as I’d heard this is quite a popular spot in town.

Had a loverly meal last night (Saturday), warm welcome by the staff and a great cosy outdoor patio style seating area that was warm even though it was a cool night. Excellent food, with good sized portions. Delicious cheese and meat to start, the pasta was cooked to perfection and the tiramisu was like a cloud. Refreshing drinks and enthusiastic servers and staff. Would highly recommend.

FINALLY an authentic Italian restaurant. Many years living in Cambridge and we just discovered this place and had a lovely experience. The service was superb, the food was incredible and we even got a bread basket. We will definitely be back again! Vegan options: many! I had the risotto e piseli (risotto with peas) - a generous plate of creamy risotto. Super recommended. I'll be back to try more dishes :)

Italian Restaurant with history Food was generous in portions but not too crazy. The pasta tasted standard but not enough to wow. The desserts were an impressive surprise. Generous portions. Fluffy tiramisu and creamy smooth creme brulee. Not crazily sweet. The restaurant is quite old history, but inside was amazingly clean and well maintained. Quiet environment. Roomy and clean toilets. The service was good. Food delivered quickly, despite being a busy day.

La Margherita is a formidable Italian restaurant with a delicious pizza. I ordered the standard margherita and was happy with the service. The pizza was slightly "bitter" and had no basil, I think. Additionally, the proportion of cheese, dough and sauce was appropriated. The cheaper price (compared to other places in Cambridge) is also appreciated. The restaurant is well located in Cambridge and the staff, especially the waiter, is nice and funny. I also think the space, including furniture, to be cozy. Service was fast and personalised: the waiter brought an extra chair to accommodate us in an empty table (we did not reserve a table for 5 people beforehand). They also offer to pack the rest and did not complain when we overstayed. I recommend the restaurant and hope to come back soon.

We had a family meal and it was very good. We last visited here a number of years ago, and the menu has changed very little. That said the food was very good and everyone enjoyed themselves.

La Margherita hosted a conference dinner for our group of 15 and were extremely easy to deal with, allowing us to pre-order in advance and to add guests as needed. Service was friendly and quick and the food was delicious. The set-menu is well-priced and offers a wide range of items. Staff were especially good at dealing with dietary requirements. Many thanks!

La Margherita Is a lovely restaurant. Family run and part of Cambridge for several decades. The pizzas are fabulous. The service is very pleasant and efficient. And the Umbrian Artisan beer is great. A delightful treat and reasonably priced.

Chilled pub with nice atmosphere. Got very busy when it got hot this week. The cold beer and the hot weather was perfect match. Great place, nice vibes and good drinks.

Great classic pub with beers on draft and several great ciders to purchase. We popped in on a rainey day and it was warm and inviting. Apparently both CS Lewis and JRR Tolkin both came here to write and I could certainly see that. Had a nice patio and multiple rooms to gab a table it. Was decent busy for a random Wednesday afternoon.

Popped in for a quick drink while on a visit to Cambridge, as a history lover I had to visit the oldest pub in Cambridge. Quite small near the entrance, but beyond some quirky walls where I imagine old fireplaces stood, it opens up and there is a fair amount of seating and a large garden space. Great place to start a Cambridge pub crawl as it's right on the river. Service was quick and there was a decent selection on tap and a few gins available too. Food was available but we had booked elsewhere so didn't eat, but there were menus available

Nothing much else than a big lawn so they decided to stick a huge Ferris wheel in the middle of it. I liked the pole at one end with rules of football but there’s not much else to do here. Would consider going here for a picnic or if you’re into running it would be good for that

A lovely piece of land to relax and enjoy the days sun. Very much a community enjoyed space with students predominantly making the most of getting together and some selling items such as cake. Lovely to see the big wheel which was added attraction and made a lovely opportunity to see over the city 😀

It's my favourite little hidden gem in Cambridge. Food is always freshly made, with a great selection of options for both savoury meals and sweets or snacks. They are great with allergies and dietary requirements. Fresh smoothies, coffee, and the most welcoming staff. Feels like home, and there's a hidden treat downstairs

Great place for records at a fair price and always friendly helpful service from people who love music. The record shop is in the basement. The cafe on the ground floor always smells amazing and overall the place itself is so nice to be in. Finally had brunch here! The staff are so down to earth and helpful. Just don't come here expecting Starbucks in and out service - relax! Enjoy! It is worth it. Easy to find food here if you are looking for vegan, vegetarian or gluten free options. They have gluten free bread options & choice of white or brown bread. They serve slices of cakes and pastries, vegan sausage rolls & gf cakes! All the classic breakfast options & though I've yet to try, I hear the coffee is fabulous. I was just happy knowing I could get decaf here as I rarely get to enjoy caffeinated drinks! Decaf versions of coffee and tea- just not chai tea. The orange and ginger juice was fresh & came in a large fancy glass. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly & the dish was overall very tasty. Hollandaise sauce was not creamy as I'm used to but it all tasted fabulous. If you have read this far...they also apparently have 2 for 1 cocktails during happy hour here. Cheers. Overall, tasty food, good atmosphere, good selection of records. Great local spot on Mill Road. Will be back. Highly recommend.

Love this place. Great vibe and really fun people working there. When I visited there last time there was a girl working behind the counter who had a new fella and she was telling all her colleagues how lovely he was at the top of her voice - singing songs and just going massively over the top with wise cracks, jokes, full of fun and happy with life (or maybe it was chemical ? but let's be kind and say not !) - and then he walked into the cafe ! Lovely to see someone so happy, enjoying life and in love (?) - really nice. Bless. Food is brilliant and then there is the added bonus of a well stocked record shop in the basement with a 1960's decor and an area to chill in - made like a 1960's living room.. Second hand records, new vinyl and discounted deals.. Super place

Online customer service isn't great and website advertises items that are out of stock, and just get removed from the order without letting you know. Items received were in perfect condition and delivered quickly. But as half my order turned out to be out of stock I wouldn't have continued with the order had they notified me before sending it out.

Casual Italian Restaurant The food tasted good. I love the unique smokey flavour of the pizza. The crust of the pizza was thin, not chewy. Tomato sauce of the pasta didn't taste sugary. You know, tomato sauce normally has more added sugar than we expected. The tiramisu tasted amazing. So airy and creamy, not too sweet at the same time. Reminds me of the tiramisu of Signorelli's Deli. It looks like a restaurant with history, as it looks so rustic. But still, everything was clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly to customers. I will return to try other pasta and pizza. And more tiramisu.

Came in for an early Valentine’s meal with my partner and OH MY this is the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to!! Very reasonably priced, incredibly fresh and tasty pasta dishes, beautiful homemade tiramisu, lovely atmosphere and SUPER friendly staff! It was our first time visiting and it won’t be our last, I can’t think of a single thing to fault this place. We shared a lovely bottle of Italian red wine but would love to come back to try all the different and wonderful negronis they have to offer. The waiter serving us had a smile at all times and was so friendly, and even put our limoncello on the house. Was a perfect choice for our date night and super happy we’ve found another amazing gem on Mill Road. Skip booking the chain restaurants that charge a fortune for food made with little love when you have a genuine family owned restaurant that does everything miles better!

Fabulous dishes. The guanciale pasta was fabulous, service excellent, we could have lingered longer but the Eurovision Dr Who beckoned. Lovely Aglianico too.

Most cutest server we have seen in a while,gave green olives to a turkish women as a gift because she liked it, i can recommend 10/10, this is how gastronomy should be. Not just to eat food but to get comfortable and enjoy your time.

We love Maurizio's as well as Maurizio & everyone at the restaurant. My son and I happened upon it while in town looking for a house. We came back again that same week and have become regulars since we moved to the area this month. Family feel, great food and sauces, well done, all!

Had a lovely meal, our go to for special occasions. Authentic Italian with amazing service, made even better by being introduced to Bruno. The ragu and pig cheek as well as the dirty bread were the star of the show. As locals we always recommend this place lovely decor inside too. Always friendly.

Had an amazing experience with a large group, even after surprising them with no reservation and walking in right after they opened. We needed food, and drinks, and fast, all on a deadline before our good friends wedding festivities were kicking off with a welcome party later that eve. Maurizio was super kind, took charge, and offered to order for the table. The amount of food was perfect, the wine was on point, and most of all we had an incredible time overall! Would definitely head back here in a heartbeat, the food was excellent but the service was the best part and made for a super memorable evening and highlight of the trip!

Crafty market heaven. Well worth a visit to grab a great, hand made, gift for you or a loved one. When we visited you could choose a bespoke belt, jewellery, hand cut sculptures, turned wood and beautiful ceramics.

The Coffee Villain - probably the most delicious coffee in Europe can be found at this fantastic craft market. Hand pulled craft Italiano coffees served by a lovely husband and wife team.

You can get a good view of the river cam with the quayside shops from the entrance of Magdalene College. Large and lovely courtyards.

Oh, it actually breaks my heart to just give Five Guys, 4 stars instead of all five! I love the joint! The fries (or ‘chips’ here in the UK) are amazing and generous* Dip them in their mayo and it’s just heaven! (Also good to know thet thry support local farms). The burgers are just as scrumptious with crazy number options for the toppings! I love the cheese too that I often ask for extra on my cheeseburger! Not to mention that you’re just spoilt for the drink (soda) choices! My own soda mix: Coke Zero Lemon + Schweppes cloudy lemon + a tad of Orange! And, you can refill for free! What’s not to like? I often go in the weekend once a week Or when I’m stressed out. It’s a delicious comfort food! Now, the reason I’m taking out a star from the review is because the serving of fries doesn’t seem to be consistent. Sometimes its the good ‘ol generous size that we all love but sometimes it’s too small. 1 or 2 years back (it’s now 2025), i could barely finish an order of Little Fries! Nowadays, I sometimes wonder if there was something wrong with my order (Extra-Little Fries?) or they’ve just become a tad stingy on the potatoes. This often happens on weekends (in Cambridge Market Square) but I’m not sure. Maybe more people dining? And it’s not always bad. Sometimes it’s good sometimes bad, but enough to notice. The staff are also quite friendly! A few stand out as quite welcoming and often says hi and remembers frequent customers!! Anyway, this is (still) my favorite burger joint, here or elsewhere in the world (e.g. Singapore, Philippines)! Prices aren’t cheap but not at all expensive considering what you’re getting! Also, I should mention: I’m pleasantly surprised that you have excellent mobile data/signal even down at their spacious lower ground dining area!

I had an amazing experience at Five Guys thanks to Madhav and Chaaba! Both of them were super friendly, welcoming, and made sure everything was perfect with my order. The service was quick but also professional they really cared about getting things right. The food was fresh, hot, and exactly how I like it. Burgers were juicy, fries were crispy, and the whole place felt clean and well run. Madhav and Chaaba truly went above and beyond, and they made my visit even better. I’ll definitely be coming back! It is really good! No misses here, though it feels overpriced for me coming in from a foreign country. Their chips are generous, fresh, burgers are super good and quite distinct compared to typical fast food. Loved the LeBron ad they put up! :D

The employee Ms. K was working at Five Guys Cambridge at 6:30 PM on 08/31/2025 and I had come from London to visit. They behaved very rudely. Every time I went to this Five Guys store, they gave us a glass of drink before we ordered, and here, after the food was delivered, with a lot of arguing, I was able to get a glass of drink. And this is the situation with chips.

Five Guys is always a hit with our children! The kids’ meal is great value at £7.99 and includes a burger, hot dog, or grilled cheese with fries and a drink. For just a bit more, you can swap the drink for one of their delicious milkshakes. The kids also enjoy doodling and adding their artwork to the board before we leave, such a fun touch!

Five Guys serves the best burgers I’ve had in the UK! 🍔 Sorry to all the other famous burger chains, but you’re officially “ex-burgers.” 🙃 Their fries are a therapy session on their own. Every visit leaves my stomach throwing a little party. 🎉

Expensive Experience This large fries cost £6.95. It's one of the best fries I have ever had. It was fresh made for every order. Totally hot and fresh. There was a lovely peanut after touch for every bite that makes it unique and unforgettable. But the food was so over priced. Long waiting queue. So it took quite a while to get the order. The restaurant was quite dirty. What a contrast to it's over priced menu. I reckon the restaurant has staff shortage. As the queue is always long. And the stairs and eating area are so dirty. Don't go if you are in a hurry.

Fantastic mediaeval building from around 1125 and is the second oldest complete building in Cambridge. In 1211 king John granted charter allowing a three day market on the vigil of Holy Cross. It survived due to its association with the Stourbridge Fair. You need to walk to it as there is no parking nearby but it's worth it.

Free to visit. It's only open on a small number of days each year (look at the website in advance), although you can get a very good idea of it from the outside (accessible at any time) and it's mostly rather plain inside (albeit with some interesting architectural details). Originally 12th century though it has been much repaired, rebuilt and altered over the centuries. It sits on a pleasant plot of green land just alongside Newmarket Road: you can easily park at one of the superstores nearby and walk there. It's very small, so if you want to extend the visit then you can walk down to the river and on to Fen Ditton or further.

Firstly, spending £29 on socks, boxers and 2 vest tops was a good idea because I actually needed them, but to my surprise the 80p reusable bag may have well taken my left thumb for the tax that wasn't included in my bill, I believe the places that they make their products are fighting back for equal pay, as the paper tag on this specific bag, gave to me, obviously a pre meditated attack on me on my rights, this is not right and my thumb now hurts soo bad I cannot write or drive due to this unforseen circumstance, one star does it for me

Visited this store on a Wednesday evening and was pleasantly surprised as to how tidy and organised it was. On that occasion, it has to be one of the quietest branches I have been to. Offering a wide range of clothing and footwear for women, men and children along with accessories. They also stock skin care, hair tools, make-up, home decor, luggage and more, all at affordable prices. As mentioned before, the store was quiet so there was no queueing when I needed to go to the checkout. Staff member was polite and friendly. Had a pleasant shopping experience on that day.

My friend and I were being followed by a really creepy man who called 3 more people to come and snatch us. They were amazing with keeping us safe, they called the police but the manager was really the most amazing woman ever. She went outside to stare them down and let us stay in the shop until my friends mum came. I can’t be more impressed with this shop x

As I work in the university environment, I do not always find bookstore with such an incredible and helpful books available! It was a great visit, which I would recommend to anyone looking for interesting literature. They had measurements in place to avoid the spread of COVID, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

A bit hidden in a corner of Cambridge, this shop is a gem. The moment you step inside, you feel the embrace of books and old pages, and the calm feeling washing over. Most of my patches are from this shop. They have a wide range of patches, and the ones i purchased were absolutely amazing quality. They look really nice on my battle jacket. I also own a pair of camo cargo jeans i got here for £30, though it is a bit expensive here (average pricing can be around £18-£40 for clothes), its still worth having a look at as the clothes i bought from this shop are quite nice quality. Practically most of my wardrobe is purchased from here, lol. Definitely worth a visit :)

Wonderful little 90s vintage shop with genuine pieces and good variety of causal streetwear . My first visit in Cambridge and the sales assistant who helped me was friendly and it was such a welcoming relaxed experience. Found an amazing brown suede midi skirt for a really reasonable price. Such a refreshing change from current vintage shops which over charge for reworked pieces like in London. Plan to come back ❤️

Worst customer service ever, I’ve bought a Cardigan online, it’s basically faulty (full of balls after two days) and they are refusing to give me refund guarantee. I don’t recommend anyone to buy anything from them.

Does not do refunds. When I told them that I wouldn’t buy anything from a store that doesn’t do refunds they accused me of purchasing only with the intent to return. I explained that wasn’t the case, but that I felt that having a no refund policy is disrespectful to customers. I ended up walking out without purchasing the five items I’d picked out. I don’t understand why businesses sabotage themselves like this.

Really nice selection of mid-higher priced streetwear...Nose projects, YMC ect. Picked up a shirt at a significant discount in the sale. So can vouch when they say "sale" they mean it. Staff are also very friendly. A good unexpected find in Cambridge, it's stock selection would definitely compete with many shops in London!

I grew up in Cambridge and lived there for over 25 years. Now living in Australia we return to visit family and friends. I like to buy souvenirs for friends in Aus when we travel. Not here though. We missed the little hand written sign pictured as I took my tired toddler in his compact travel pram into this shop looking to buy gifts. I was quickly approached by an angry little man telling me I can’t bring that in here. I asked why is that, he frog marched me and my 18 month son out of the door pointing at his little sign he had made. It was embarrassing, he made us feel like criminals. Disgusting behaviour and embarrassing to show my wife this is how people behave here.

The male staff member was extremely rude. I went into the shop with my child to look for souvenirs, and as soon as he saw my child pick up an item to have a look, he immediately rushed out to stop her. Even though it was something that wouldn’t break if dropped, he still didn’t allow it. His words were very unfriendly. For a souvenir shop located in a tourist area to treat customers this way is simply outrageous. Charging out and scolding children like that will only frighten them. I absolutely do not recommend tourists to visit this shop.

My family and I had a disappointing experience at this shop. The owner was quite unfriendly and made our visit uncomfortable. When we entered with a stroller, he quickly pointed out a small handwritten note on the door about the stroller policy. My toddler had just gotten out of the stroller, and the owner told us he wasn't allowed in because of his age. This upset my son, and we left immediately. I would recommend exploring other souvenir shops in the area that may provide a more welcoming atmosphere.

First ever “private gift shop” where the owner gave discount for students. 10% doesn’t sound like much, but for us it’s a very nice gesture.

When I visited this shop, I saw the owner speaking in a very unfriendly manner to a customer with a child. The behavior towards the child was harsh and made the experience uncomfortable. I hope the shop can improve its service attitude.

My wife had been looking for a fedora hat for a while and we searched all over London with no luck because nobody had her size. We went to Lairds in Cambridge. Exceptional customer service from the lovely young man who’s name we didn’t catch - a brilliant salesman and clearly very passionate about the products. The staff is very friendly and definitely sweet-talker but I just want to point out several facts based on my personal experience. 1) Just watch out that the store does not do any returns or refunds and this is never communicated upfront. It’s my first time coming across such because most if not all UK store honour a return or refund without questions regardless of the reasons. I brought my friend from the States to get a Father’s Day gift but we later found out Father wants something else instead. So, we walked back to the store to return it since it longer fits our purpose, plus we’ve never opened the packaging. We were rejected upfront. Had this been communicated while we were shopping, we could’ve just video call and ask Father at the store. 2) We were then told to search for the HQ number on the website and call if we insist on the return. The number isn’t working but we’re giving the benefit of the doubt that it’s the weekend so we will try again. Meanwhile, we submitted our request via the website but soon learned that you can only submit the form with a UK phone number. I now fully understand why the lady has wished us luck as she turned us away from the shop. 3) As we were trying our luck on the website, I notice that there’s a 10% discount if you make your first purchase on the website. This deal is clearly not given to store customer but I thought it’d be good to share with the readers who’re taking the time to read this review. Each cap costs at least £90 so that’s about 2 cups of inflated coffee for you. 4) If your purchase is made using credit card, you’re covered under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Protection and this gives you a platform to speak with your bank for your onward action.

Update: As I got a response from the shop saying that it is Robinsons jam memorabilia. Why Robinsons Jam doesn’t used them then??? Why no other shop sells these?? Finding them as a “nostalgic childhood thing” is disgusting justification for racism. If you find them so nice display them in your house don’t charge money for that! Maybe read something about it and educate yourself!!! Just because you can earn some profit for it and you loved it as a child doesn’t mean it aged well. Kids loved Jimmy Saville look how that turned up! Educate yourself! Do NOT buy things here!!! I was in shock when I walked in and saw these dolls in a shop! It’s highly racist and so gross to be asking money for that!!! Can’t believe this shop is associated with one of the prestigious Cambridge’s college! Makes me feel sick!!! It is so sad that touristy place which people from all around the world visits would think that this is appropriate thing to sell! Disgraceful!!!

Awful experience, very rude owner. When I came in and wanted to try some things on I was told to wait, I wasn’t offered to put all the items somewhere on the chair while I wait so I said “okay I’ll just hold them”, her reply was “Yeah just do that”. I was also ignored by her when I asked to get an item from window display, she clearly pretended she didn’t hear me. And still after all of this I was ready to buy a dress but when I asked about origins the reply was “I have no idea! China or Korea probably”. The whole experience and her last few comments completely put me off so I changed my mind last minute. Even to that she replied “yeah you go and have a really good think about this” in a very sarcastic manner. Long story short, I suggest you don’t go to this overpriced second hand shop if you don’t want to get rude customer service!

Some staff are friendly and warm welcome! Big space for car park and sitting area. Inside the farm, there are absolutely many choices and sections for your cooking meal. But in some sections, the price is not what I am expecting. Check properly before you buy!

We accidentally arrived at this place on Friday on our way from Cambridge. It turns out you need to purchase tickets for the event in advance. They were so kind to let us in, and we paid for the entrance £10 per person. This place is amazing—it's a huge farm converted into various dining spots and food stations, including asado, pizzas, crabs, sardines, alcohol, and more. In the background, there's a DJ playing fun music. Great place for family and friends. The crowd is great, and the atmosphere is perfect.

Has been a nice experience. Very nice people. Good, simple food, such as chicken salad, burgers, and fries. The shop next to a local butcher's sells selected regional and national products.

The Sundowner Session is not worth £12.50. Seating was either the standard outdoor seating benches, or on the field behind the Shack, either on the grass, a couple of benches or a couple of haybales. Food on offer was very limited: two vans, HitWrap and one that was making either a meat burger or a veggie burger, I think from the farm shop produce. It was a huge shame more local produce was not available for purchase. This was clearly falsely advertised, as the advert states "Guests can indulge in a variety of offerings, a BBQ serving up fire-cooked seasonal delights, and a selection of local food trucks." The shops closed at their normal hours, so it was not possible to browse through these. The Shack was abysmal. A sign pointed towards it offering "Dessert and Ice Cream," but all that was on offer was a nearly £10 "sundae" or small slices of flapjack/brownie costing £3.70. The person serving was not particularly happy to see customers. There was a jazz type band playing when we arrived around 5pm. When they ended it was a DJ. Both were nice, but just background music rather than entertainment. The most ironic thing of all was that the portaloos were placed exactly where the sun was setting! Not an ideal location for an evening literally named the "Sundowner"!! To be honest, I'm not really sure what we paid £12.50 per person for.

I was in Cambridge for my sister, who was in Papworth Hospital. It wasnt good news. But for 4 days, my family came here for lunch or breakfast and the staff have been delightful, the food has been great and more importantly and personally for me, its a wonderful distraction from talking about funeral plans and lawyers and the constant shadow that has taken over my life recently. The staff are amazing, without even realising it you have lifted my spirits, and the food and drinks you serve are some of the best I have ever eaten. I can, as a Scottish man, your scotch eggs are a solid 10/10. Thank you, for everything. If I am ever in the area again, I will be coming back!

Stopped by for coffee and scotch egg and chips which was good .Had a look round the shop was after a meat pie or scotch eggs but did not see anything like that only fresh meat and vegetables ,looked a bit pricey to me.

I hadn’t been in a while so not sure when it changed, the new layout with the cafe, benches and undercover area is lovely! It looks fab and perfect for any weather. It would be great if they did something about their loos which aren’t in a good state, but everything else is gorgeous here.

Beautiful frames with antique photos and paintings are very cool. A huge collection of glass products available as well. Prices are not burden on pocket. Over all good experience.

A grand, eclectic mix of fascinating objects priced very reasonably. The shop seemed to go on quite a long way and it was filled all the way down, which is where I found my lovely pictures. The service was friendly and welcoming and I will visit again next time I am in Cambridge.
