Beautifully constructed station in the heart of the city. Official name: Waitematā Railway Station. It was officially renamed from “Britomart Station” in September 2025.  • It’s located in the Auckland CBD (central business district), down by the waterfront, on reclaimed land near Waitematā Harbour.  • The station is integrated with a bus interchange and is close to the ferry terminal — making it a major transport hub.  ⸻ Structure & Facilities • The station is partly underground; platforms are beneath. The historic Chief Post Office (CPO) building is used as the main entrance.  • There are multiple entrances: the main via the CPO, plus an eastern entrance via Takutai Square (Britomart Place).  • Access via escalators/stairs/lifts, gates (ticket gates), ticket machines, customer service centre.  ⸻ Services & What’s Changing • It currently serves most of Auckland’s suburban train lines (Eastern, Southern, Western lines).  • City Rail Link (CRL) project is underway. This will convert Waitematā from a dead-end terminus into a through station with tunnels under Albert Street. That will enable more frequent trains and through services. The CRL is expected to open in 2026.  • As part of these works, platform layout is being changed (from 5 to 4 platforms), and the two outer ones will connect to the new tunnels.  ⸻ Name & Meaning • The name Waitematā is a gifted name from mana whenua (local Māori authorities).  • The name refers to the nearby Waitematā Harbour. It can be interpreted as meaning flat, glassy waters (likened to obsidian “matā”) or to a Māori ancestor who placed a talisman in the harbour.

The Britomart shopping area and Waitemata train station are great places to spend a ton of time right in downtown Auckland. The station is huge, clean, and has clear signage for planning out a trip and figuring out which platform to stand on. At street level are lots of places to grab a bite, shop, or just sit and relax. If you get the opportunity to go during the Saturday market then you should! There are lots of shops, plenty of food (much of which I was unable to find elsewhere), and an overwhelmingly friendly atmosphere. Certainly a great place to stay near while visiting Auckland.

First time to Auckland Railway Station as I'm an out of towner. It was pretty cool as railway stations go and leans toward that 'old station vibe' but with a touch of modern. Very clean and tidy and no shortage of helpful happy staff. The train itself was comfortable, clean, and well presented. However, it is not a match in any way to the beautiful old Auckland Railway Station.

Lots of directions and the staff were helpful. Lots of shops and places to find food. Awesome piano, I was lucky there was a member of the public playing it beautifully when I was there.

I was so so confused with Auckland public transport lol but just ask around and they'll help you out. The train was super enjoyable to ride on. An staff here helped me with my confusion. I still have no idea how much it cost me to catch that train though 😂

Such a beautiful space with some cool bars, really diverse but amazing eateries and there's some nice places to sit outside to people watch while eating your lunch. The new-ish shopping centre also has some amazing stores and eateries. All on the waterfront where you can cross Quay Street and catch ferries to Waiheke, Rangitoto or Devonport.

Commercial Bay is such a vibrant and modern spot in the heart of Auckland. I love the variety of shops here – from international brands to unique local boutiques. The Harbour Eats food court is fantastic, offering so many different cuisines at reasonable prices. The design of the space is bright and inviting, making it a great place to shop, eat, or just hang out. Definitely one of my favorite places in the city.

Very nice shipping center. Lots of clothing stores. Everything is very cozy and it's very pleasant to stroll around. There are many cafés and restaurants.

It's really disgusting. I saw the service staff here take off her shoes in front of the guests and then pick at her own feet with her hands. Can no one stop her behavior? The sanitary conditions are worrying.👎😱

A great ‘go-to’ for when you have a couple or group that isn’t sure what they want to eat or has very different tastes. A nice environment with great variation in cuisine upstairs and light shopping downstairs. Nice little hidden gems and cool spot to hang out and have a cold one.

Arguably the best mall in Auckland, NZ. Spacious and modern design, not crowded at all. Lots of retail stores, movie house, department stores inside. Parking is not a problem. Lots of activities for the kids too. Very accessible, near bus stops and train station. We love going to this mall. Highly recommended.

Beautiful and aesthetically pleasing especially on the rooftop section! Spoiled for choice with restaurants and food court. The usual suspects for your shopping experience

Plenty of parking and a good range of shops set over three bright and clean levels. The layout is easy to navigate, with everything from everyday essentials to designer brands. Plenty of rest rooms and some food hall options. Paid parking (pay at the machine before returning to your vehicle) was free for the first couple of hours on Sunday, we visited for around four hours and paid $30 for parking. The atmosphere feels modern and welcoming, definitely worth a visit!

There are a few pram parking spots, and the parents’ room has two curtained cubicles for breastfeeding. The light’s pretty dim though, and the TV in the kids’ play area is quite loud. One cubicle is only accessible through the locked play area, a bit of a double edged sword. It’s probably be better if they were separated.

Forgot to write a review, but last year I entered the car parking 4 minutes before free parking and was charged. However spoke with one of the car parking managers and got a refund for my case. Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had with parking in the city.

Love the variety of shops and food. The interactive map is very useful. My favourite shop is the Lego shop, so many cool sets you can buy. The rooftop area is lovely and well designed, the perfect place to relax and enjoy the variety of food offered.

Wonderful mall! Has all your needs and staff are always helpful. Can get busy sometimes but that's because this is a great mall. Also love the rooftop dining, amazing options compared to other malls. Would HIGHLY recommend.

It is a clean and busy Sunday market with plenty of stalls to visit. We've enjoyed trying all sort of snacks during our visit 😋 You should check it out if you are in the area 😁

Lovely Atmosphere and Great Artisan Finds! A really pleasant Sunday market with a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere. It's set up along a modern paved walkway which is lovely to stroll through. There's a great selection of stalls selling all sorts of artisan goods and unique items. I saw lots of beautiful handmade jewellery, pet accessories, plants, and more, alongside several tempting food stalls. It's worth noting that, at least during my winter visit, there weren't many fresh vegetable stalls, so it's perhaps more of a craft and food market at this time of year. For parking, I was lucky to find a spot on Hurstmere Road, but be aware that it has time limits. If you plan on staying for a while to explore, you might want to look for a car park with longer-stay options. The location is excellent, with plenty of coffee shops nearby to grab a drink or breakfast. Overall, a great way to spend a Sunday morning!

Good fresh produce, seafood, and food to ready to eat. Brought a seafood fritter for $12, added an egg for an extra $2, and a BBQ squid for $5. The market can get busy. All sorts sold here knock off merchandise, second-hand goods, clothes, and accessories. Lovely fragrance coconut oil can be purchased here. Lemon grass and lime are good for mosquitoes.

Too good! Love the Saturday morning vibes, the fresh flowers, fruits and veges is amazing and the prices so cheap. Its definitely a must do if you've never been there before.

Great variety of food, fresh produce and miscellaneous items for sale. We were here at 10 and the place was packed with both people and vehicles, so do come early to get a parking spot. Some stalls sell out early so it pays to visit early. Will definitely come back for the food, especially for the otai!

Parnell Market in Auckland offers a great variety of fresh produce and interesting food stalls. While the vegetables are fresh, the prices are not cheap. The Turkish stall is a highlight, serving delicious savoury flatbreads and snacks. Be sure to visit between morning and noon, as the market closes around 2pm. It's a wonderful spot for food enthusiasts!

Had the pizza here — no frills, and very good! The pizza was simple, honest, and done right. No unnecessary extras — just great flavor, a crisp base, and quality ingredients. Sometimes, less really is more. Would definitely come back!

This farmers market is on the smaller side, but there’s definitely an abundance of fresh produce available for purchase, along with some delicious-looking baked goods that are hard to resist. While everything looked high quality and beautifully presented, the prices were quite steep — we picked up a small jar of homemade Indian cashew dip for $17, which felt a quite pricey. Overall, it’s a nice spot for a quick walk-through experience and to support local vendors, but it might not be the most budget-friendly market around.

My favourite hangout every Saturday morning. Besides fresh spray free veggies and fruits, there are varieties from fresh coffee, pastries, pizza, popcorn and many other stalls, including homemade creative stuff. Locates just right behind Parnell library, using existing carpark for the setup. Very clean and organised. The stall owners are very friendly too.

You got pizza, pies, Indian food, vegan bites, popcorn, coffee — enough to make your stomach say “bring it on.” 💸 Prices? Not dirt cheap, but not robbery either. Classic Auckland-level average. 🪑 Tables and chairs? Limited. You sit, you win. 🚻 Toilets? Maybe inside the hall if not, good luck and strong bladder vibes. I usually enjoy shopping at Parnell Market and have always been satisfied with the fresh products. However, this time I was disappointed. I bought some Envy apples from an Asian lady’s booth in the middle section of the market, but when I got home and cut them open, they were not in good condition. I chose Envy apples because I expected them to be delicious, so it was quite upsetting. I hope this was just an isolated case, as I really appreciate the quality of the market overall.

1st time here and I am loving the vibe of it already. Everyone there is very lovely and the market vibe is lively ❤ $4 for a 720ml fresh bottle of milk? Thats well worth the price , make sure to buy jersey girl organic ones. I can't really drink milk but I have no problem with this, that says a lot about the freshness of it innit? There's also quite a variety of selections for bake and pastries goods there too. The owner of Philippe's Patisserie is a very cheerful and welcoming guy, bought a raspberry Danish from him and it was good😋

Been going here for 6+ years. It’s my favourite second hand clothing store in Auckland. It’s stocked with designer brands and high quality material - I’ve bought quite a few 100% silk and linen dresses from here, as well as designer jeans. Prices are really reasonable, around $15-25 for most dresses. I have bought 2 amazing ball gowns that I’ve used for weddings for ~$30 each. I like that it’s organised by colour and type as well as nz designer, there’s also a clearance section at the back. Staff are super friendly. Thanks team.

Nice place. However, last time I went I found a suit jacket which I wanted to buy, and the second after I paid for it I realised that there were holes in the back (while still at the counter). Given there were so many holes, I asked if I could have a refund for the purchase, as I am not sure why they were selling the item. Even though I had just paid, they wouldn’t give me a refund, but only a store voucher. A bit strange since I hadn’t left the counter. Granted, the lady helping me was nice, and I understand store policy is not her fault. I just feel that if the issue was my indecisiveness, then store credit is fair resolution, but if the issue is that their product was damaged I should be given a refund.

Absolutely shocking experience ordering online from KarenWalker. I never received a n order confirmation so followed up with customer support, and yes they had lost my order (the money definitely came out of my bank account). So after some back and fourth they tell me they had located my order and did I want to proceed- I did and asked them go ahead. After waiting for a week and not receiving my order, I emailed customer service again. This time they tell me that they have cancelled my order as some details had not been found - they did not tell me this or ask for the details. They said that I had been refunded a week earlier. I had not been refunded. They told me to be patient and sent me a screenshot of their refund. This was for a different amount of money so I questioned customer support and was then informed that they had indeed refunded the wrong person. I did eventually get my refund that evening. Not one time did I get so much as an apology for all of this! You stuffed up my order, promised to fix it, cancelled without telling me then stuffed up the refund and not once was I told ‘actually we are sorry for mucking this up’. I will never buy online from Karen Walker again.

I've found my experience to be nothing short of exemplary from KW Ponsonby. Not only are their staff incredibly helpful and kind, their service is second to none. I had a very old heirloom from KW jewellery that frankly I was nervous even to ask about enquiring to have repaired (damage to it was entirely my fault and nothing to do with the craftsmanship). Not only was I treated exactly the same way as someone looking to make a new purchase with the same level of follow through and importance, but the price point for the repair was less than half of what I'd been quoted to have it repaired by two other jewelers. Would highly recommend and will absolutely keep purchasing through them. Thanks guys xx

I was lured in by the colourful sneakers, not intending to buy anything as I don't really feel I'm a good fit with the brand. But the friendliness of the staff and the beautiful colour of a cashmere jersey made me stay and try on the jersey. I said I'd be a 14; the team member said I'd be a 12 - and he was right. AND it was on sale. Then, after I'd left, a team member dropped the car keys I'd left behind to the restaurant down the road where I told them I had a reservation during our conversation. Service above and beyond. Great people, and a beautiful jumper. I'll be back.

I came today to buy something nice for myself. However it has surprised me how unpleasant the staff store is. The ladies looked like they couldn’t care less and were almost offended when I asked a couple of questions regarding clothes and sizes. I felt unwelcoming.

Order a bracelet for my partner for Christmas and was sent the wrong one and a lot cheaper one also, 2 weeks before Christmas when we phoned them to try sort out there mistake they said to send it back. We live rural and it takes at least a week to receive any mail so it was going to be a week to get it there then they would look into it then a week back provided every thing went well. So we would not even see it for Christmas. What a way to ruin her present which she has been wanting for years. Now we have to drive to the city to try sort it out. The order form which came in the box even said the right bracelet on it but the wrong bracelet in the box.

I never write reviews but really wanted to say thank you for the amazing customer service I received at the Ponsonby store recently, particularly by Taylor. I had a sizing issue and was blown away by the kindness, humility and professionalism Taylor took in handling my issue which was resolved quickly. I am very happy with my purchase and the size is now perfect. Thank you again Taylor, I will be telling friends and family to visit this location.

I love op shops. This isn't one. This is more like a charity auction where you have the option to pay too much for something to benefit animals and feel like you earned your avocado toast. All the SPCA shops seem to be going this way, which is a shame. Op shops have existed for decades, balancing the three noble quests of reducing waste, providing for the community, and raising money for worthy causes. SPCA seems to have decided they can redefine what an op shop is, and seem happy to explain that their goal is to help the animals, not the people in the community that support them. Hospice, a block up the road, finds a more traditional balance, pricing premium items higher, and everyday items at affordable prices. I'll be shopping there. Futhermore... you can say you're a "boutique", but your branding looks like an op shop still. A rebrand would possibly reduce the amount of disappointed patrons being surprised by higher prices.

Far too expensive for an op shop. Don't waste your time here. The other Devonport op shops provide more value. Some prices are the same as brand new items. $12 for second hand sunglasses or $5 for children's books is really unaffordable... Suggest reconsidering your pricing strategy or rebrand not as an op shop..

This op shop is ridiculously expensive. Every time I’ve been in here I just cannot believe the price they are charging for stuff. There are three other fantastic op shops in Devonport that are great prices and have much better items/clothing as well. 10/10 do not recommend. EDIT TO ADD: after reading other reviews it seems they all get the same copy and paste reply, and I'd like to add two things - ALL op shops are charities, this is not unique to SPCA, so this is not a reason to have high prices. And second, they would sell significantly more stock if their prices were more affordable, which would be more profitable for them in the long run. It sounds like they do not have a clue how to make money or run a business, and based on the answers they have given to all the other reviews, they are not receptive to customer feedback at all.

68$ for a dusty old A5 photo frame with a "made in China" sticker on it. I get that this is a charity shop but that does not justify the ridiculous and quite frankly greedy prices. Other op shops don't try to rob their patrons blind. These are second-hand items, not brand new from a boutique or Smith & Cougheys... be so for real guys 🙄 Edit: stop lying about "inaccuracies" in your prices, you know damn well you're running a scam. There's a reason most reviews here are one star. You're Greedy. Stop gaslighting people in your pathetic responses.

Disgusting I left in shock. This store is completely overpriced a glassons dress was $20. Good luck finding anything good under $10 here I literally couldn't believe my eyes I also heard other customers talking about how expensive and "upmarket" this store is. The thing is op shops aren't supposed to be upmarket you guys should rethink your pricing I get youre supporting a charity but you're also supposed to be supporting people who generally shop at second hand stores due to money struggles. I've been to other spca stores and yours is by far the most expensive I won't be coming back.

You can tell that they are careful to select what they sell it's all amazing 🤩 got the BEST boots, love that they also sell alternative fashion, the first thing I saw when I walked in was the leather stiletto boots (that I brought) and a lolita dress, so I knew I was in for a good afternoon! Definitely coming back!!

Good selectionection

Great little market on every Saturday and Sunday. Some great crafts beautiful food and the best fish supplier in Auckland by far at North Harbour Fish Market in the main pavilion. Some lovely walks in the area and great restaurants. You can drive there easily on the norwestern or ferry over from Beach Haven or the city. A real gem!

A lovely farmers market filled with food, craft & retail stores, flowers, groceries and butchery/seafood. Parking is available. Limited tables but the wharf has some open benches.

This is my first time visiting the Saturday/Sunday morning market at Hobsonville. I went with my partner for a morning date to enjoy coffee and breakfast, and it was worth it. Parking was a bit challenging, but the place was easy to find. The entrance stairs were beautiful, and the view of the bay was stunning. There were many couples and families with kids walking their dogs and enjoying coffee. Inside, there were plenty of food options. Our main goal was to try the famous Egg Tart (Portuguese Tart), and we loved it - there was a queue at the entrance of the bakery café. After the egg tarts and coffees, we tried several other food options: Pork skewers with sticky rice and Vietnamese noodles. I enjoyed having them in this market. There was also a shop selling dried flowers in the market - my partner likes them, and I could give them as a gift right there. Overall, it was a satisfying morning walk/date for both of us. I highly recommend visiting this place if you haven't already.

We took the ferry from the city to Hobsonville, and it was a pretty calm ride. The market itself was a little smaller than I was expecting, but it did not disappoint. I spent a little too much money there, which is probably a good endorsement. There are plenty of great food stalls, and interesting little craft-type places to shop at. We went for a walk around the coastal track, though with the building going on, it's not all open.

This Fish Market is a nice place if you like seafood. You can eat many things like fish and chips, prawns, oysters, and sushi. The food is fresh and tasty. The place is clean and not too busy. You can sit inside or outside. It’s a good spot to relax, eat, and talk with friends or family. The workers are friendly and helpful. There is also a shop where you can buy fresh fish to cook at home. The prices are okay – not too cheap, but the food is good. Parking can be a little hard, but the visit is still worth it. If you like seafood, you should try this place…….

Awesome fish market. Well set out. Grat that you can buy fresh fillets from Sanford and sons fishmongers and get them grilled for you at the fish market grill. They have something for everyone really. Great atmosphere. Lunch on a Thursday wasn't overly busy. Great service. I think it's better than Sydney fish markets.

The Auckland Fish Market is just a 15-minute walk from the harbor area, and my hotel concierge recommended visiting. It’s down a street that’s behind the main waterfront restaurants and bars. The market itself was much smaller than I expected. There’s only one vendor selling raw fish, while the others offered items like oysters and mussels, bagels, and sushi rolls (no fresh sashimi). There’s a small dining area with tables and chairs. My partner and I shared a bucket of mussels in tomato sauce ($15 NZD). The sauce was flavorful, but the mussels were a bit rubbery. On the plus side, the market has free Wi-Fi and public restrooms. There’s also a wholesale fish auction in the mornings for bulk buyers. Overall, compared to other waterfront fish markets I’ve visited in Europe or Asia, this one is small and underwhelming. I wouldn’t recommend visiting unless you’re already in the harbor area.

Delicious! I recommend the Lobster roll is a good taste. Grilled fish also nice! Here is more and more restaurants and takeaway food, wine and beer, coffee or sofe drinks.

The place has been renovated since we last visited years and years ago. It definitely looks more clean and modern now. A few different vendors and there is also another food stall market area on the waterside just 1-2 mins away. A great place to come and grab lunch and have a stroll afterwards.

The outside service counter has a pretty straightforward menu and you order at the counter, sit at a table with a number and they bring the food. It's not fancy, but the fish is absolutely delicious and if you have a chance and at least one other person, I highly recommend the whole grilled red snapper. It is amazing. They cooked it to perfection. Just enough so that it was cooked through, but still tender, flaky, and juicy through and the seasonings were perfect. Topped with a few fresh aromatics, it was amazing to just eat through. The flesh on the bones is always more succulent, and the skin was crisp. Excellent with a side of fries and a salad and we had more than enough for dinner for two. Loved this so much and it was so fresh.

West city is one of the best malls, not too big so it makes it easier to find your desired store! Popular stores Kmart, warehouse, Chemist warehouse, baby factory, plenty of parlors, beauty and spa saloons. With a wonderful food court! It's a nice and handy mall in the west! Plenty of parking and event cinemas is amazing! Clean and well maintained and collection is good too as not too crowded, stores are well stacked and helpful staff!

It's a good mall with everything you could need. I go there often because my doctor pharmacist are there. I like going to the movies and the food court has a lot of options. Be careful when parking. There are various time zones ranking from 1 - 3 hours. The parking enforcement officers will not even give grace of 1 minute and they are all over the place! In 7 years I have received 2 parking infringement and both times was because my doctor was running late and I was parked in the short term zone. Apart from over zealous parking officers, it's a great mall. Clean. Lots of parking. Lifts and escalators.

Omgosh i dont where to begin. Quite a vast mall to be honest. You can find literally everything and the best part is their are restrooms located in each floor incase you need to go the 🚽, just saying🤷‍♀️. You never know! Also if you low on cash and needing 💵, there are ATM's and banks located in the mall but depending on which bank you bank with. If there is one thing i noticed in nz, its a cashless transaction. I mean you have the options to pay with cash or card..how convenient is that for customers. From restaurants to coffee shops, to dounut shops to starbucks, yes guys! Starbucks🙄, yeah i know too much🤭. Oh and if you wanna do groceries, Woolworth is there and you have the warehouse in Lv4. Each level is huge, you wont be able to cover the whole place in a day but of you got nothing to do, this is sth you can do if visiting. Well all i know, i had an adventure around that mall coz after 3 days. I basicially figured out my way around the mall so it was enjoyable. And yes, there is alot of parking spaces if i haven't mentioned that. Thats about it from my end really. If you visiting auckland, check them out

If you're out West of Auckland, this is a shopping mall for your info. Went here to grab something to eat at the food court. I got some corn dogs from Seoul Mate n mango banana smoothie from Pita Pit. That was yummm!

The movie hall - event cinema at west city was one of the least clean and hygienic cinema I have experienced. The seats had massive stains. The curtains behind us smelled. The whole theatre smelled. If you switch on your flashlights and see the condition of the seats you don’t wanna sit there fearing you might catch some disease. After the night movie when we tried to exit the mall it was a maze. All the gates were locked and we could only exit from the movie hall (top floor) parking. While we had parked our car on the ground floor near the stream bridge crossing. We couldn’t figure our way out. There were no lifts in the parking that could lead us down to the ground floor. The area also smelled of weed or cannabis so it was scary to be there at night. Ultimately we had to walk down the parking driveway for multiple floors while avoiding being hit by a car. If you’re coming for a night movie I would recommend you to park your car on the top floor of the mall so that you can get in your car right away from the exit that’s open at night.

we as a family have been shopping at this mall for the past three months since arriving in Auckland. Because of a very excessive parking fine inside the mall we will be taking our business somewhere else from this point forward. We are sorry to all the shops where we have happily purchased goods from.

I’ve always stopped by DFS whenever I was heading back home, picking up duty-free items to bring with me. It’s been a regular part of my travels for years. Hearing that the store is closing on September 30th feels really unfortunate—it will definitely be missed.

Fancy store – I wasn’t sure if you could just walk in or if you needed an invitation first. The Manuka honey for 300 dollars really impressed me. Looked great, but you can get it at Pak'nSave for 14.99 as well. The escalators were truly top-notch – very smooth, not too fast, not too slow. I accidentally rode them twice.

Great selection of luxury items with friendly and approachable staff. I’ve bought so many items from DFS Auckland every time before I fly out (i.e sunglasses, handbag, cardholders, haircare, makeup, wine, flats, etc…). However on 15 May 2025 (evening) I encountered a disappointing service from Marinko (middle aged Japanese lady working at the Ralph Lauren section). Went to changing room and brought back the top to the display rack to take a smaller size, Marinko then in an unfriendly way started interrogating aggressively multiple times which shirt did I take to the changing room and went on to explain that she just did her stock take that day and has to keep track of stocks on the floor. Okay.. good on you Marinko for completing your stock take but I don’t think that means all displayed stocks are not allowed to be brought to the changing rooms and brought back out by the customer? How do you expect customers to purchase if taking them to the changing room and bringing them back to the display rack feels like a crime? Despite experiencing this, we still bought the top since it was on sale and the quality is good.

AVOID THIS STORE!!! Good riddance now that they are permanently closing. I do not write reviews often but thought I should detail my experience so that others can also avoid. I am also noting this down as a formal complaint. Long story short, due to lacklustre service and numerous delays on DFS' end, I missed out on stock of a product before their suppliers pulled the plug on them. Customer service is nearly non-existent. I emailed them wanting to purchase a product and did not hear back from them for about a month (after me sending them numerous chase up emails). I tried calling them too but very rarely got through to the store. When I did get through to them, one of the sales reps (Danny at Rimowa) was super rude and did not value his prospective customers in the slightest. This included saying "oh I don't have time for you, just take your business somewhere else" and that's when he was listening as half the time, he wasn't even listening to what I was saying and was distracted. As I was getting ready to pay (after telling me they had it in stock), they non-chalantly told me that "oh we don't have it anymore, we sold out" and that they shipped everything back to their suppliers. This experience has left me very disgruntled and saying "ah so this is why they are closing". Sorry DFS, but you will not be missed.

Due to the pandemic DFS is nothing like 10 years ago. There were full of tourists and shoppers here but now it's really quiet. But the staffs were happy and caring customers. Thank you.

Great shop, but the person at the cashier ruined my experience by how rude she was ! She didn't even say hi or something she just yelled at me, "Do u want a bag ?" I told her I had one already but she add me one bag and start to put my stuff in. Then, she just said " 100$ thank you ! " and I didn't even finish to take my receipt and pick up my stuff she already screamed " next" . So thank you Mme Priyanka to be that rude, I'll never come back.

Came in this morning to get gumboots and I asked if I could get discount just because they were the last size and because of the marks and state they were in. The lady who served me at checkout ( Twinkle) had asked the other lady who was there( brown hair tied in ponytail quite fair) said to the lady who served me “ you can wash them off “ which I was standing right there and could hear them. The lady who was not serving me then stated she would need to have a manager to authorise this. So by this that means the lady was just too lazy to grab the manager. I ended up paying full price for the gumboots. The lady seemed as she owned the place but could not grab a manager ?

Great store to visit! We can find a variety of items. It becomes difficult to choose from.

This store has a queue system set up for their point of sales, unfortunately, people jump this without staff addressing them, leaving the honest shoppers, who are patiently waiting in line, be flustered and angry, they even have security there, as lackluster as they are, all this paid staff and no one looking out for the customer.

Hadn't been to The Warehouse store but found this one a bit chaotic with stairs and weird floor plan.

Such a pretty and old building inside with old fashioned style shop fronts. There is some interesting little shops including bakery, fashion, hair salon and barber. It's also right in the CBD so if you are in the city it's worth a little look-see.

The arcade are a neat shopping experience.

Only few shops open. Used be very fancy and busy area over 15 years ago. My hair salon still there, that's only place I go.

I think half of the shops are closed a nice nail salon is still there and a very yummy chinese bakery very nice and fresh breads some Asian or Korean style clothing shops are open too and hair salons I used to go to one which is a Korean salon very fast no fuss does the work

Recommend the Vietnamese shop in this food court. The food is amazing, really cheap, and the portion sizes are great as well.

Surprisingly, half of the outlets had already closed at 6:30pm on a Sunday night, but what was still open had a good menu and food was tasty and plentiful.

Complaint about Cleaner Toilet use is only allowed for customers who purchase food from the food court stalls. The food court closing time is 9 PM, but the cleaner closed the toilet entrance at 8 PM with two chairs and a signage. He was allowing only those people he personally knows to use the toilet. Even though we purchased food, he didn’t allow us. He said, “I will decide who can go inside.” Today, 12 Oct 2025, he closed the toilet at 8 PM and didn’t remove the sign even after 30 minutes. Me and my family waited outside along with other customers, including one with a child. Later, he allowed four people whom he knew and then shouted at me for asking why. He said it’s already 9 PM, which was not true. Your food court claims toilets are only for customers, but the people he allowed didn’t even purchase anything. This is completely unacceptable and racist behaviour. Please check the camera between 8:30 PM to 8:45 PM and take strict action.

The “3 in 1” from ‘xi an food’ was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back to have it again. The service was also friendly and fast. Overall the food court is quite tired but it has a good amount of seating and lots of food options.

I can highly recommend the absolute home-cooked authentic in the food available on Queen Street, at Queen Food Court: near Wakefield St. Nepalese family, the business is called BOMBAY CHINESE - but the food is very traditional home-cooked food from where I am from, Bihar/Uttar Pradesh. I have eaten here several times and it’s perfect every time

We ate at Feri Cuisine, serving traditional Iranian kai. It was delicious & plentiful. Chicken cooked perfectly moist and tender, lots of little side accompaniments. The food court itself is quite small, serving definite ‘foodcourt’ vibes but there’s heaps of options. We would go back for sure.

Heard alot about this market so decided to visit. So many food options available, so many stalls of different companies from different countries. Everywhere food, food, food😍. Chinese, japanese, Mediterranean, arabian, italian, and many more. Their are veg and non-veg options available. Loved it. So, tried some of the veg options available. Taste of the food was okay. Expensive. Thank you.

There was lots food corner with lots people on the other hand they seems to need lots diversity as most was Asian food. Just I enjoyed Korea food andthen France dessert. Both are lovely.

DON’T GO!! The Sunday market held in silo park is a CHINESE market! 90% of the shops over there are owned by the Chinese and selling Chinese food!! One of the shop is even selling the Hong Kong signature takeaway food 兩餸飯！ Also, very bad arrangement, you need to wait sooooo long for ordering AND getting your food! Definitely not a place for tourists and if you don’t like the Chinese.

Think the night market is there on every Saturday night. Just happened I bumped into this night market when I was wondering around Auckland after I just touched down. Decided to walk around the market, and to be honest, I'm quite amazed. They have varies of foods over there, Chinese, French, Korea, Japanese so you should come here and try if you are a food lover. And the price is cheap too! Recommended!

This is the last day of my working holiday in New Zealand. Come to this evening market. Compare other markets. This may be a little smaller. But the quality of food is the best compared to this place.

Great place, nice vibes. Stop here every other week for a walk, and some street food. Good ambience towards the later part of the night with some good live music. Benches and tables to sit on.

Abit smaller than I expected, but it was good to taste various types of food. The price 5-15, some of them feel really cheap but others just similar like restraunt or takeaway shops.

I've been always eyeing this place and had never the chance to visit . Today we did and it was wonderful.So unique... unlike other antique shops we've been to. There was something to this shop that made it actually feel as though we entered into the past when we were sifting thru the countless displays. The prices are obviously high but I would think that these products are justly priced for their good condition and authenticity. Ray has a warm and welcoming personality too. At one point I actually mistook him for one of the many statues displayed in the shop☺. I will visit again and encourage others too.

What an interesting place! It is filled to the brim with interesting antiques, curios, and knickknacks. They have opened another store across the road which has better/more parking and which is also filled with awesome tidbits. Most of the items are quite expensive. The rows are very narrow, which makes it difficult to move, especially if there are other people. To me it became a bit claustrophobic and overwhelming, and I couldn't fully appreciate everything. It's still absolutely worth the effort to see some great things

Really shocked/disgusted/offended/outraged etc to see that you are still to this day selling Golliwogs. The sign you have put up is like when someone says “I’m not racist but…” *and then says something blatantly racist*. If you truly appreciate history you would acknowledge the true history and origin of these dolls and not just see them as ‘something grandma used to make’. Know better and do better. Shame on you

This is positively one of the most unusual collections of items you will find anywhere in NZ! I had so many wow moments that I ran out of responses after a few mins. Definitely worth a visit if your into the unusual or collectable items. Check it out!

This is one of the older shopping centres in Auckland inner city. It has a Number One Shoes, The Warehouse and Rebel Sports outlet among other smaller retailers. The location is easily accessible by public transport although car parking is at a premium in the nearby locations. The entry to the centre is via Elliott street and one can easily get confused in the first place on how to navigate this place. Lots of eateries are here and nearby too, which makes the shopping easier.

What happened here? The foodcourt only has a a couple of stalls open. A far cry to what it was prior to Covid. I haven't been to the CBD lately, but the next time I stop by I will try one of the stalls left open and support them.

It has shops, a big food court, and easy parking. Good for quick shopping or a meal in the city.

Amazing food,the Italian was primo! Best tiramasu in New zealand. Best everything, my go to when in auckland. Its the ponsonby food court.

Family get together for lunch and laugher . Then we went to look around Akl city which is sad. I grew up in Auckland and love it so much... So looking at empty shops makes me hope for a better future.

BEBAP has authentic home-cooked Korean food! My family of six loved the food at Bebap in the food court at the Atrium on Elliott. Literally a two minute walk from the Crowne Hotel in Auckland. The food court itself has very little to no atmosphere but this place is legit Korean! I believe Korean owners or at least a Korean chef! We came for a late lunch @2pm. Four of us had the sizzling bulgogi platter, my husband had the sizzling squid platter and I had the spicy tofu soup called soondaebu. Sooo good! Each meal cost 19NZ dollars and each dish came on its own tray with several side dishes as well as the main meal (spicy fish cakes, Korean pancakes, and Kimchee). Sad to say that it was our last meal since we leave Auckland this evening.

The shop is old. I have to say I love this shop, even its smell. However, as a regular, I am very disappointed about today’s shopping experience. I bought many things in the shop, such as cups, plates and cutlery, worth thousands of dollars. I have told the male owner that I am regular many times but do not have a suitable and friendly treat. The male owner does not give me a smile and is trying to be tough on me while shopping. The male shopkeeper’s attitude and face are like telling me that I have offered you opportunities to allow you entry to my store; you should be thankful. I cannot believe this. Besides, the female shopkeepers are pretty nice and friendly. You must choose the right time and suitable reception if anyone plans to buy something. What interesting feedback and vocabulary use. I cannot believe that you can twist the fact. 1.  I entered the store and hope you can open the cabinets because I want to look at the cutlery directly. The point is, I hope you do this, not ask you to do this. I did not ask you to do anything. Do not play the vocabulary game. 2. I hope you can open the cabinets so I can directly look at the cutlery; it is like I came the store previously. However, when you refuse, I follow your rules and stand there to look and follow your instrctions. 3. When I came to the store, the other shopkeepers usually opened the cabinets and allowed me to look directly at these stuff, so the cabinets were not like you said: "You do not open". 4. Your tune is so sarcastic. It is like you are unhappy because you do not have enough money or you did not get a discount. I have to say; when I bought things first in the shop, I did not ask for any discount. The first discount is the old shopkeeper gave me. I appreciate it till now. However, it does not matter if you think this is money anger; I hope you keep this bias because this kind of bias will "help" you in your business in the future. I do not want to help you alter it. 5. I am very curious about why you do not talk about how strict and tough you were to me. Why did you not give me a polite smile when I was shopping in your store? Or, you only want to talk about something that can benefit you! What an interesting and pathic! Finally, you do not need to warried about a poor guy like me and his friends to shop in your store. I will not shop any more in your store. So, there is no need to reply to me. Enjoy your bias, tough guy.

This shop has lasted for ages. The male owner is pretty cold to some people like me, even though we bought things. We wanted to look at the furniture next door, he opened the door and didn’t say a word for the entire time and tried to rush us out. The female owner is always very friendly and nice to everyone. A total mixed of experience

I've been visiting here since it opened in 1971. A mazelike interior with more stuff in a small space than you'd ever expect to encounter. Fun. Unforgettable interior.

We fall in love with something every time we pop into The Poi Room. The people working there add to the vibe, with friendly greetings and knowledge of the artists and their work. They helped us choose a great gift, on this visit. We'll be back to get something for ourselves again soon.

We came here multiple times in our week in NZ to get their beautiful braided greenstone bracelets. They have a lovely range of hand crafted, quality pieces. The staff were helpful and friendly while we rummaged through our options.
