Been hearing about this place for sometime. So we booked lunch today for a very special occasion. The food indeed was delicious. I got to taste a bit of everyone's order lol. Venue isn't bad at all. Was really busy I can see. A bit crowded for the size and they can spruce the place up a bit in my opinion. After all everyone's paying sort of top dollar. Service was overall good and attentive ... could use a bit more smiles guys. I found corkage fee for bringing your own small birthday day cake a bit over the top especially when we aren't asking for extra plates or cutlery. Going back? For the food...definitely yes. otherwise hmmm...

Wow a real authentic Italian restaurant serving a fantastic menu. The sauces were heavenly and could even meet Michelin standards. The service is perfect and friendly as well as helpful. Atmosphere is like being in Italy 🇮🇹 but we are in 🇳🇿 . Abit pricey but worth every single penny 👌 👌👌👍👍👍

This restaurant more than lives up to all the great reviews. The setting, location, interior, and vibe are perfectly in tune with each other. The food is incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. We had breakfast here, and you could truly say it’s a breakfast for champions! If you’re staying in Auckland, this place is an absolute must-visit.

Went to Amano for breakfast before departing on a ferry to Waihiki for a wine tour so we wanted to be sure we were fed well… we definitely were! Portions were plentiful and the coffee was great. There are options for pastries or large breakfast and brunch items. The avocado toast was large with lots of flavour. This is a large cafe restaurant, with plenty of seating. We went around 9am and I would predict it fills up fast! Would highly recommend adding the crispy fried potatoes to any meal!

OMG!!! This is one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever visited in my life!!! Such a beautiful spacious spot with really tall windows that lits the place with natural sunlight but yet dim to give it this beautiful aesthetic n relaxed feel. They have an open concept kitchen where you could see all those professionals preparing the food 🤩 Menu is limited but from simple classic plates they create an elevated dish! You MUST VISIT when you’re in Auckland!

I haven’t been to this restaurant for quite a while, and honestly the quality doesn’t feel the same as before. The food used to be more flavorful and consistent, but this time it was a bit underwhelming. The service was still friendly, and the atmosphere is nice, which I appreciate. I really hope the restaurant can bring back the level it once had, because I used to enjoy coming here a lot. Hopefully things will improve in the future.

Was hoping for a great meal, but it was even better than expected. You get a fine dining feel with great prices. Highly recommend the lamb! The bruschetta, steak, and cauliflower dishes were great too.

Our experience at Ahi was incredible from start to finish. We were seated in the far corner overlooking the harbor and square with our backs turned to the main restaurant, which made us feel like we were at a private exclusive table. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We chose the Chef menu, "A New Zealand Food Story," where we were taken on a culinary journey of the island. Each bite was spectacularly balanced, full of flavor, elegantly plated, and absolutely enjoyable. Highly recommend this special restaurant.

I came to Ahi after seeing it being featured on many foodie pages as one of the top restaurants in Auckland. I could clearly see where the hype was coming from. What i liked about Ahi, - Beautiful spacious interiors overlooking the beautiful harbour which makes it an ideal place to be in & enjoy a drink during sunset. - Loved the open kitchen concept where you get to enjoy the art making of the talented chiefs there with the chargrill ovens n that magnificient smell. - I was greeted by a beautiful lady that escorted me to the table n that was the best service i got but following that the young gentleman that was taking care of my table was nothing less than an extremly rude young gentleman that hasnt learned any manners. It seems he wasnt so happy with me not ordering a main dish, i simple got 1 started & 1 small plate. I asked to try a wine but wasnt a fan of it so decided not to go for a glass. He then comes back to my table & throws the menu on my table then comes back in few minutes asking in a very arrogant way "do you want to eat something else"! I just hated how i was treated, it made me feel so bad & was a horrible way for me to end my day! Its so sad when such a beautiful place would hire such amateur employees, it seems made me feel i dont want to come back to this spot! I tried the Oysters which weren't my fav, i believe they were Waikato oysters. Tried the Octopus which was lovely but the plate was so small versus the price point. In general Ahi is a beautiful spot to enjoy a couple of drinks n nibbles with friends n enjoy lovely music but paying high price point.

Ahi was absolutely amazing! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive & they even surprised me with a special “Happy Birthday” plate after overhearing it mentioned. We had the NZ Food Story set menu, which didn’t disappoint. Every dish was crafted to perfection and came with its own story, making the experience even more special. I’d visited Ahi on my last day in New Zealand. I have to say that I’d been largely disappointed with the food I’d tasted in Christchurch, Wellington (barring one), and finally, Auckland. It was a very good final day, having visited Depot (opposite Sky Tower). Ahi was recommended by a staff in Hotel Britomart. My requirements were easy enough: I want a place that can showcase the freshness of NZ produce. I was lucky to get a seat as I was alone. Service was generally good though not consistent (some were much better than others). I appreciated the menu which showed the distance between the source of the dish to the restaurant. Every dish was presented by the servers, and the each dish was beautifully presented by the chefs. My favorite was the dessert, with the smoked ice cream with charred berries, and dark chocolate. It was a most complete taste! My least favorite was the abalone on hash brown, because the taste of the hash brown overwhelmed the abalone and in an unpleasant way. Feedback was given to the server who cleared my plate. As it turned out, my very fussy friends had also visited earlier this year as they were staying at the Intercontinental Hotel and had loved Ahi too. Please keep up the great work, I’ll be back again next visit

Experience: Extravagant platting. They do tell some story with their dishes. (A bit fast, guess cause it's busy). 👩‍💼🧑‍💼The staff do feel like have this aura (whenever I talk to them) that makes you feel like not belong there. 🍖 Had: Warehenga (Kingfish), Tuna Huhunu (Eel), Atihoka (Artichoke Eggplant), Riwai (potato/chips), Tia (Deer). Food are all delicious and unique. The only place that do deer. My only complaint is, if you only give 2 slices of deer meat, don't put it under "main". 💰 Prepare to pay at least $120pp if you don't want to come out still hungry (you won't get full unless you also order potato). #SmallPortions

This is the most amazing meal we have had for some time. The food was exceptional, the servers, cooks and chef was amazing..We were also able to purchase some beautiful handcrafted wooden bowls and pieces as well. Could not recommend it more highly. On par with amisfield degustation just less courses.

Stunning restaurant, fantastic views, amazing food and beautiful service. We had large group having the New Zealand story. It was a long feast of amazing local ingredients cooked to perfection and superbly presented. Every dish was well explained and accompanied with local wine. Not cheap but well worth it for special occasion.

We seen great reviews of Alma and had to try it ourselves. We (3 colleagues) booked a Sunday late dinner. The restaurant was quite. We were quickly served drinks. The setting is beautiful and very relaxing. The dishes we picked were varied. We loved some but thought as a whole there were some taste balancing issues with few of the dishes. Clearly there is attention to ingredients and techniques but not all dishes blew our minds as we hoped for. Still it was a great dinner with great service.

One of the best restaurants in Auckland, I’d say. The service was amazing! Unfortunately, we got a tougher part of the steak, so it was a bit chewy, but both the chef and the staff handled it so quickly and kindly that it completely made up for it. It actually turned into a perfect experience in my memory. The tuna crudo left me speechless, and the anchovy dish and pork taco were awesome too. Definitely coming back here again

Set in a beautifully preserved 1930s heritage building, Alma offers a stunning and welcoming space with terracotta plates, copper details, and thoughtful natural lighting. The lamb, slow-cooked over firewood, delivered both the boldness of open flame and the tenderness of gentle heat. It paired exceptionally well with a sauce full of herbs and coriander—surprisingly perfect together. The oysters, already delicious on their own, came with a sauce so well-balanced that it elevated them to what felt like their “final form.” From appetizers to mains, every dish made me think, “Did they really plan it to be this good?”—with such a high level of precision and harmony. The entire space—its scent, sound, lighting, and even the texture of the tableware—comes together to create a deeply satisfying dining experience. During my stay in Auckland, I didn’t find a restaurant that surpassed this one. I absolutely fell for it. Highly recommended for a special meal in the city.

Went on a whim for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. We sat at the bar with the chefs, who were happy to explain things. Great service, super tasty food (the anchovy is unlike what we usually get here in NZ), and a reasonable Champagne price (for a restaurant). Menu is seasonal but see pics for the food we enjoyed—lighting wasn’t the best where we were, but you get the idea. We’ll be back!

Located on the waterfront of Aucklands Britomart area and in the heart of downtown among many excellent hotels and dining options lies the Spanish themed Alma restaurant. In general the food is very tasty and follows the sharing concept. The design is very nice and cozy with first rate staff. Sit outside and watch the evening descend on Aucklands harbour front or sit inside and take in the busy scenery! We enjoyed the wines by the glass selection that had a good balance and verity matching to the delicious food. Enjoy the evening

A good location with beautiful views and nice decoration. Staff is very friendly. The fish I ordered was delicious and good size. The staff recommended a local Gin, which was quite nice.

Loved this restaurant! Amazing all round. We loved watching the cocktails being made. Cocktails were fantastic. Glasses are chilled so doesn't come full of ice. Food excellent!! Highly recommend!

Fancy & delicious experience. We enjoyed every bit - the Chardonnay was lovely, entrees, mains and dessert were great. Overall quite an expensive night for us ($330NZ) but you get what you pay for in terms of quality, food and service. We really did enjoy every bit. The wine options are definitely tailored to the wine lovers with high priced bottles ($80+) but the Chardonnay we got was really lovely so it’s worth it for the rare occasion. The service was lovely (a lady maybe named Jean?) did a great job at explaining the menu to us and providing recommendations which served us well. Highly recommend.

We visited Kingi on 7th Sept for their Taste of Kingi four-course menu ($115 per person), and it was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Auckland. Every dish told a story of New Zealand’s coast fresh, thoughtful, and beautifully balanced. The Te Matuku Bay oyster with kiwifruit granita was the perfect start bright and refreshing. The gamefish crudo with mandarin, makrut lime, and chilli was light yet full of flavour, and the wild Wapiti nigiri with horseradish ponzu was unforgettable. The kūmara sourdough and green-lipped mussels in nduja beurre blanc brought warmth and richness, followed by shared mains of yellow-belly flounder with brown butter, capers, and almonds, and snapper in tomato crayfish bisque with fregola and fennel both cooked perfectly. Even the shoestring fries with wakame salt were addictive. A special mention to our waitress Anna Rose, who was absolutely amazing warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food.

Stunning! This restaurant is one of the best in Auckland I think. We had the set menu for lunch and every dish was better than the last. Standouts were the muscles, bread and fish. Wonderful service and ambience too. I recommend Kingi to all my friends and family whenever they ask me where to dine in Auckland

We had a very amazing Taste of Kingi set menu for 2 and my partner and I enjoyed every single flavour of it - from the fresh oysters, raw kingfish, and sushi, to the main course which had a fish in a Mediterranean flavour and lamb, and the very delectable honey ice cream dessert with chocolate. Every dish was immersive and delightful. We enjoyed it so much that I keep thinking that it deserves Michelin stars ✨✨✨ hope to be back again if we visit Auckland again!

The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. On my birthday, they even prepared a handwritten card for me, which made the celebration truly special. The whole dining experience was delightful and memorable. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had a family member visiting from Singapore who was wanting to have a seafood meal, so of course one of the first places that came to mind was Kingi! I wasn’t aware of the shift in menu before getting there - slightly less seafood orientated now, compared to what it used to be (had been here two times prior to this when almost the entire menu was seafood). Seafood was all very fresh, however, we felt like the flavours/ingredients in the kingfish and crayfish taco dishes overpowered a little, so the seafood was not the star of the show and their taste somewhat muted. The mussels in the tagliolini were unfortunately chewy…and again the bisque was too overpowering and could barely taste the crab. Founder was delicious and was the only dish out of the ones we ordered where you could taste the seafood well - I must say that I enjoyed the flounder more on previous occasions though. Bit of a shame that there was nothing that stood out and wowed us. I think the restaurant should bring back the old menu. All the food pictured plus two coffees came to a total of $176.

The food, the staff, the place- PERFECT!!! As a seafood lover, I have always loved coming here because the food is always sooo good! They have put so much thought on the flavor combinations and the way their food is presented. Everything is made/cooked fresh- from seafood to pasta. 💖 Also giving a special shoutout to Jan, the duty manager for the last time I ate here. She's just the loveliest and was very helpful with what to order. Kingi is lucky to have her in their team. 100% coming back here because the staff are so nice and the food is sooo yum! PS: get their mango matcha drink! Great for the coming spring and summer heat!

Vietnamese fusion restaurant. The window seats with a view of Galway Street create a nice atmosphere, with paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling. The service was friendly and professional. I would recommend the kingfish crudo and tiger prawn entrée. However, I found the main dish a bit disappointing. The pork belly reminded me of Hong shao rou from Chinese restaurants, but it didn’t have much depth of flavour and was quite sweet. The soft shell crab salad was also served in a sweet sauce, which might not be appealing to those who aren’t fans of soggy fried food. On a positive note, the use of lemongrass was a nice touch compared to other Vietnamese fusions that rely heavily on coriander.

We had dinner with my wife's family In cafe Hanoi a few weeks back and it was amazing. The food was delicious, the staff was really engaging and the dining setup was impressive. The food standout for the Taste, presentation and Verity of different dishes. I would love to come back again next time while we are staying in Auckland.

Hanoi Cafe in the city is an excellent choice for your next date night. It’s a little more upscale than many other Vietnamese restaurants in the area, which makes the experience feel a bit more special. I was impressed with how well the venue uses its space, featuring two main dining areas and a seated bar. We had an 8:30 pm booking on a Saturday night for two, and we were promptly seated. Our server was friendly and walked us through both the food and drink menus. While it was different from what I typically expect at a Vietnamese restaurant, I was genuinely excited to try a variety of the dishes. We each ordered a cocktail. I had the Landing Dragon, which was zesty yet light. The blend of fine filtered vodka, elderflower, green tea, and vegan foam made it refreshing and unique. The other cocktail we tried was also tangy and very fresh (I can’t remember the name!). For starters, we shared the Phở Gà and the crispy rice flour and coconut milk pancake with lettuce wraps, soft herbs, and nuoc cham (with roast duck, shiitake, basil, and red chili). Though listed as starters or sharing plates, the portions were very generous and could easily be meals on their own. The Phở Gà had a warm, soothing broth with a deep chicken flavour. The pancake was a highlight. The rice flour shell was crispy, the duck was tender, and the mixture of herbs and lettuce wraps made for a fun and fresh way to eat. The nuoc cham dipping sauce added a perfect sweet, tangy balance. For mains, we had the pork belly. I was expecting it to be crispy, but the soft, slow-cooked style was still very tasty. A bit more sauce would have been nice, but it was easy enough to scoop some from the bowl. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Hanoi Cafe. It’s a bit busier and pricier than other Vietnamese spots, but it’s a fun and flavourful option, especially if you’re looking to elevate your usual Vietnamese dining experience.

Another great restaurant. If you love Vietnamese food or would like to try Vietnamese food then this is the place to go. Food was delicious. We had the set menu and were seated upstairs in a private room as it was a company function. The service was great. Nothing was a hassle and the atmosphere was good too. We had a few people with dietary requirements and that was no problems for them. The cost is above average. Highly recommend. Pic is of the delicious dessert.

Come for take away, but let me tell you this place is luxury and crowded so prepare your clothes and make reservation! Prawn fillets with young rice battered is the star (I was surprised with the sauce - a bit thai sour and spicy flavour which brought a nice balance to the deep fried dish). Fresh paper rolls were okay. Good tight rolls with a hint of pine apple - very south Vietnam flavour. Good choice. Banh Hoi, on the other hand, was not as expected. Beef skews were bit too chewy, and not much bánh hỏi. Good side it had good fish sauce and good amount of veggies. 3 dishes for $76 - can't complain when you choose fine dining in auckland cbd, so prepare your wallet. Staffs are super nice. Crowded but they all move smoothly and fast.

Unfortunately, our experience at this establishment was far from pleasant. From the moment we entered, we felt unwelcome — a feeling that only intensified as the visit progressed. The staff showed little effort to accommodate individual needs, which is particularly disappointing when one is not feeling well and relies on a certain level of consideration. The menu was surprisingly limited, with barely three main options available, and no flexibility or alternative suggestions were offered when we inquired. The atmosphere was also uncomfortable — despite the chilly weather outside, the air conditioning was blowing directly at us, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. Perhaps we did not fit the image of the “ideal guest” in terms of appearance, but clothing should never determine the level of respect or quality of service one receives. It certainly says nothing about a person’s financial situation or expectations when it comes to professional hospitality. An establishment that wishes to position itself above the average should do more than rely on aesthetics — genuine warmth, respect, and attentiveness to guests are what truly set a place apart. Overall, a disappointing experience we are not eager to repeat.

Had our first dinner here while visiting Auckland for the first time and it did not disappoint. It’s a lovely atmosphere, very inviting and warm. It’s lively but still quiet enough for you to easily have a conversation with your table mates. The staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Be sure to ask them for recommendations. Plates are meant to be shared. The prawns are a must for a starter. They are a wonderful blend of taste and texture. Another stand out was the fish of the day - cooked to perfection and had dill on it! Everything we had was wonderful. It was a memorable meal. I would definitely return.

This was my second visit to the restaurant. On my first visit, I chose à la carte mains and found the portions smaller than expected, until I reminded myself it’s a fine dining establishment, where the focus is on quality and nuanced flavors rather than quantity. This time, I opted for the four-course meal, and the experience felt unexpectedly heavy. The starter, entrée, and dessert were among the best I’ve had in Auckland, beautifully presented and full of flavor. However, the mains were disappointing. The mushrooms and onion sauce tasted undercooked, and the tomato-based paneer and chickpea gravy had an overpowering raw tomato flavor that made it difficult to continue eating. Additionally, the portion sizes across the four courses were far more generous than anticipated. On a date night, I wasn’t prepared for such a substantial meal, and by the time dessert arrived, I was too bloated to truly enjoy it despite how lovely it looked. I may return in the future, but I’ll steer clear of the four-course option. A lighter, more curated selection would suit me better next time.

We had the journey through India menu and the food was amazing. Each course had a unique modern twist on an Indian dish, and none of them missed. They also changed some of the menu items to take my parents dietary restrictions into account, with no hesitation. Our favorites were the beef and ghost chilli croquettes, and the sesame chicken. Some delicious cocktails to accompany the meal too, like the brown butter old fashioned. Service was excellent too. The wait staff were attentive without being overbearing. Food came out fairly quickly too. This is the best Indian restaurant in Auckland. Looking forward to coming back!

What an amazing experience. WOW. I couldn’t recommend Cassia enough. From the moment we sat down, our waiter was attentive, friendly, and kind, setting the tone for the night. We ordered the Chef’s Special Banquet, which was such a fantastic choice—it meant we got a curated selection of the chef’s favourite dishes. Every course felt like a journey, and each bite was an explosion of flavour. The spices were layered beautifully, nothing felt overpowering, and everything balanced so well. The presentation of the dishes matched the quality of the flavours—vibrant, fragrant, and inviting. It was the kind of food that makes you pause after each bite just to savour it. By the end of the banquet, we were beyond satisfied but still wishing we could keep eating. Cassia is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Definitely one of the best modern Indian dining spots I’ve been to, and one I can’t wait to return to.

I had my pleasure to have dinner at Cassia. We tried the Feast Menu. The foods were delicious! Great cocktails! Lovely services. The Daal could be improved because there was an overwhelming taste of Maggie Spice. The Fish Taco was the star for me. And of course Beef and Lamb!

We had a lovely first visit here and really enjoyed our experience. The service was spot on — welcoming, friendly and very attentive. We were given corner seats which were a bit tight and not the most comfortable, but that’s understandable as we booked before an hour. It’s clearly a busy and popular place! Tried mocktail and it was so good. There are good vegetarian options on the menu. We tried a few small bites and they were tasty (and yes, true to “small bites” portion size). The cone on rice was delicious — I especially liked the little white sauce on top, not sure what it was but it worked well. The kulcha in the small bites selection was also very good, though a little oily for me. For mains, the signature mushroom dish was a definite standout — a must try. The black lentils were okay, but the overall flavours were still enjoyable. We were quite full, so skipped dessert this time, but will definitely come back to try it next visit. A special thank you for the little complimentary treat for our anniversary — such a thoughtful touch. Overall, a great experience and we’d happily return! 😊

Would give this restaurant 4.5 stars out of 5. Was very impressed with the presentation and taste of the food. The service was great but for two hiccups: first, the Skycity online reservation system made it unnecessarily stressful. Second, the waiter accidentally served me the meat dish when I was vegetarian. But otherwise great food, great service, and good atmosphere.

Great Indian fusion food centrally located. This is a higher end place with great food, ambiance, and service. Everything we ordered was godd. The drinks were interesting and delicious as well.

The wine and food was amazing! We got the carte blanche menu and each dish was so flavorful and unique with a French flare. Fun selection of natural wines. Highly recommend this place!

Bar Celeste has become a bit of a K Rd institution. Food excellent - contemporary European, fabulous wine and attentive service.

Twice now I’ve been to Pizzaria Céleste and had incredible experiences. The food is so divine, delicious pizza dough cooked to perfection with fresh and high quality toppings. The thing I am most impressed by is the service!!!! Impeccable. I believe our server both times was Summer (? very sorry if I have gotten that wrong) who went the extra mile. I often note on reservations that our dietary requirements are halal but have never had any restaurant acknowledge this. Tonight the wonderful staff had taken the time to mark on our own copy of the menu which items were suitable for halal diet. I’m blown away and grateful for this attentive service which was the theme for the night. Would 10/10 recommend Bar Céleste! Beautiful space also.

It's a shame the pizzas are being taken off the menu they are delicious! Loved the vibe in here but the waitstaff weren't very attentive and toward the end of our booking opened the front door wide open so it became quite cold in the restaurant quite fast. Also the cocktails were too small I would say 100-150ml. Overall a good night!

Amazing staff and nice atmosphere. Our first two starters were out of this world amazing, sourdoughs and buratta. I wish it Never ended, I will definitely order these two again! Then ordered the flounder which was cooked to perfection, so buttery and tender. The gnocchi was also very good!

Right, Celeste is doing pizza now, no gimmick, just really good pizza. It’s not some sloppy Neapolitan “authentic” stuff. It’s great and tasty. Can’t wait to go back.

Really disappointed by our recent trip to Bar Céleste. We were really looking forward to it but the food was extremely sub par, especially for the money. The staff were lovely but incredibly inattentive. We had the oysters to start which were great, but then our mains came out separately despite indicating we wanted to share the mains at the same time. The fish crudo was tasteless and cut really thick, the burrata is served in an agrodolce which is odd, and had no accompanying bread. We had to order and pay for focaccia to eat with the burrata. The servers never refilled our waters without us asking- which we had to ask every few minutes given they don’t leave the bottles at your table. The chef indicated the food was ready a number of times before the staff would pick it up and deliver it to the tables. The restaurant itself has a gorgeous feel and atmosphere. It’s a shame the food and the staff’s handle of the restaurant isn’t stronger.

Would rate 5 if not for the experience we had from the host today. Spent $150+ for two people dinner around 7pm Nov 2. Everything was amazing - from food, chef and waiters except for the host today. We were seated in frontbar and politely request the host today guy with curly hair with glasses and piercing if we can move as it is too cold in the front bar and he was like I will put you in the waiting list and need to wait 20 mins, and he even said he cant do anything about the aircondition. like are you serious we are already seated. And we are freezing infront bar. Plus we can see vacant tables, would understand if it’s busy and no avail seats. We are regular - eat at least once a week , refer u guys to friends and fam but toay is total disappointment coz of him. He even said after we pay after and after giving feedback, like come next time and il give u better seats. Like girl… where’s your customer service and have u not know how to look after regulars… as soon I see next time he is the host il immediately walk away. I hope manager or owner can read this and provide feedback to him.

This place has absolutely amazing staff! We had a table made up for us due to wheel chair, the waiter noticed there was a couple drops and made up another table under shelter next it starts to rain very quick thinking on his behalf, the waitress was bubbly and super friendly our water glasses were always full, cocktails were delicious and I have no words for the food, absolutely amazing!!! Atmosphere was incredible and we had an all round fantastic time. This place deserves 5 stars and absolutely no less. Incredible guys you all shield be proud!!!

I highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful dining experience. The lamb was exceptionally tender and flavorful, and the sauce complemented it perfectly. The snapper sliders were delightful, featuring fresh fish that was truly enjoyable. Unfortunately, they were out of oysters that night, which was a disappointment. However, the potato skins are a must-try; they come topped with cheese and are wonderfully crispy and aromatic. On the other hand, the steak was a bit average. It required more chewing and lacked the juiciness I expected. The mulled wine was sweet and provided a warm, comforting feeling. The complimentary hummus served with pita bread was delicious and a nice touch to the meal. Overall, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

The meal we had in Depot was superb. High quality food, with a no-fuss but creative play in textures and flavour. Not only was the food good, but the service was excellent. The lovely redhead at the bar (unfortunately didn’t get her name) made our night! She was really fun and friendly!!

We stumbled up on Depot randomly and absolutely loved dining there. The food was fantastic (oysters, fresh clams, skirt steak, potato skins). However the standout was the service we received from all the staff who seemed to genuinely enjoy working there. The nicest touch for me was that as we were dining as a pair, the team was very ready to adjust portions to allow us to try more items - I can't remember the last time a resto said they'd be happy to just make 1 less slider or a half portion of sides but that was the best part because we got to try all the good stuff. The meal was phenomenal - and the desserts (cookie skillet + cereal milk panna cotta) are a must try! Shout out to Hazel and team for the awesome dining experience and this will now be a place we'll either come back to or recommend to friends visiting Auckland.

Sooooo delicious! The oyster and eggplant dish was amazing 🤩 the way they prepared the eggplant was so creative, I loved it! The location and dining environment are great too, just steps away from Sky City. The staff were all lovely 🥰 handsome, pretty, and super helpful! Highly recommend!🫶🫶🫶

Heard good stuff from a food guide about Depot and I must admit that I haven’t had many good experiences with restaurants so far in New Zealand, mostly because of terrible service. I was looking for a showcase of fresh NZ produce, and I’d wanted variety (since I was alone). Alex (yes, server extraordinaire) recommended a list of things to try that would fit my brief, and it did not disappoint. The in season asparagus was so good with a lovely light taste. The snapper fish slider was lovely fresh as well (never take freshness for granted, many places use frozen stuff). The oyster had an interesting tangy dressing (unfortunately, I didn’t ask what it was) but honestly, it was good on its own. Since I had space in my tummy (and time before the All Blacks Experience), I spoke to another server (blond lady with a ponytail, sadly, I didn’t get her name) and while she recommended the marrow, I was worried about the richness and my heart health, so I opted for the suggested double cooked octopus with potatoes in capsicum sauce. So crispy! Many thanks to one and all in Depot for a great experience!

Our server, Ken was amazing. Food was delicious and paced really well. My daughter loved her chicken mains. The lamb was wonderful. Shoutout to Adel for being super accommodating to my little daughter. He and Ken made our night so fun.

Had high hopes when coming here unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. We went for the deluxe tasting menu with matching wines. Sadly only once did the wine enhance the meal over 7 courses. The "main" was eye fillet steak which was way under seasoned. The dessert was by far the best meal we had throughout the evening. While the service was ok, on more than one occasion we received the meal before the wine which isn't ideal.

My wife and I came here as our "splurge" dinner during our honeymoon in New Zealand and we will remember it forever. The food, the views, the service, and the atmosphere were all top notch. Although the price is... shockingly high, the tasting menu with the wine pairings was absolutely worth it. The chef himself, Peter Gordon, brought out our main course. Cocktails are also very good here.

Would say 3.5 stars, but I am feeling generous today. View = amazing. Obviously! Service = Really good! Food = Average.... Small portions. The entrees were probably the best meals of the night (Octopus and the Crayfish Linguine) The mains we had were the duck and the lamb and they were good, but nothing stood out about them. The desserts were pretty normal as well. I think i expected more and went home slightly hungry still. 3.5.

Selected the tasting menu which was superb, the staff had a great knowledge of the plates they were serving, each course was a delight. Going with the tasting option gave us the opportunity to sample the dishes we wouldn't ordinarily select. Learnt some fantastic new palate and flavor mixes. The head chef visited us and personally grated the fresh Christchurch Truffle which was amazing. All in all we can't fault the experience. Pricey yes but well worth it. Sorry the food pictures don't do the meal justice.

Phenomenal. Staff were friendly, polite and accommodating. Food was delicious to say the least and we thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu and wine pairings. Highly recommend splashing out to make the most of the menu available.

Delightful experience with a beautiful view of the Harbour Bridge. It took us around 3h to complete our meal, but time flies when you're having fun, aye? All dishes had a variety of flavours, colours, and textures. You can see effort has been made to maximize the effect on our taste buds and overall eating experience. The wine pairing was beautifully done with each wine really complimenting the flavours of the food. I think the big winner here was the Hapuka dish paired with the Huia Sauvignon Blanc - outstanding! The beef was also perfectly cooked medium rare and super tender. The prawn-based amuse bouche was extremely moorish. One of the snacks was a deep-fried lamb ball which, for someone who dislikes lamb, was quite delicious! Overall a great experience with friendly staff

I love the atmosphere!! Salmon sashimi is fresh & tuna don is yummy. Although katzu don is a bit salty. For the service, you can do better because most of the staff are already doing great only some are not. I expect 100% good service for this price.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday here last night with friends. The food was okay not something that made you go “wow,” but the cocktails were definitely a highlight! The staff were friendly and very accommodating, though it would’ve been even nicer to see more smiles from them. A lovely touch was the complimentary sorbet ice cream served with “Happy Birthday” on the plate—great for any special occasion

Great service, decent atmosphere, good food. Service was really quick. Food was fresh and great quality, but very small portion size for the price. Drinks were great. The ambience was a bit too loud for us, mostly poor acoustics of the venue, could’ve been better with some background music. The kitchen is open, so you get to see them meticulously prepare your food if you sit at the bar counter. They gave us complimentary dessert for our anniversary which was a nice touch.

Good, not great. Overall it seemed they valued speed over quality of execution. As one other reviewer mentioned, there is a total disregard for knife cuts lol. That said, the ingredients they use are quality. Tips: tell them specifically the timing of how you want every item to come out (I had 5 things delivered all at once); if you order anything soft shell crab, ask for a side of extra yuzu kosho mayo; skip the steak; enjoy the fresh fish!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding dining experience at MASU by Nic Watt! My partner and I recently visited MASU and went for the Shomi menu; absolutely spectacular! Every dish was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The portion sizes were perfect, and the timing between courses was just right, allowing us to really enjoy each plate. The atmosphere was lively yet refined, and it was genuinely entertaining to watch the chefs in their element. You can tell they take pride in their craft. A special mention to the chef with the snake tattoo; his positive energy stood out! He was working across multiple sections, clearly putting in the effort, yet still took the time to acknowledge guests with a smile and even explain some of the dishes while working. That kind of passion and professionalism really adds to the dining experience. Service was equally excellent, our waiter was attentive and made sure we were well looked after throughout the night. Overall, MASU delivered on every level: food, atmosphere, and hospitality. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Auckland.

MASU is easily my favourite restaurant in Auckland. I have never been disappointed by the food as it’s always the same amazing, consistent quality. Service is 10/10. Try the East End Sling cocktail and highly recommend the $99 set menu.

Brought my parents here for their 45th anniversary, was totally worth it. Got to try their Kagoshima A5 wagyu to see if it lived up to the hype. Was amazing. Never tasted beef like that before, melted in my mouth like butter, didn't need any garnish or condiments, just grilled and seared to perfection. The set menu was good too but the Wagyu was definitely the highlight. The different wine pairings worked really well too

We looked for restaurant for light lunch after walking beside the harbour side, this restaurant rates the highest among. We picked sashimi & lamb and asked if portion are fine with 2 people, staff recommended prawn toast which I forgot to take picture😫 it’s crispy and tasty too! Highly recommend this restaurant!

The Asian fusion menu was so delicious. They were good at catering to dietaries and even had sake and soju on the menu. We had a great work dinner out and would definitely come back in the future. I liked the location on the harbour too.

Came here for my boyfriend’s birthday meal. We were served by Lizzie who was so friendly and helpful. We didn’t know what to order, so we got the $95 discovery menu. They just kept bringing food out, and everything was delicious! The highlight was the lamb shoulder with a delicious rich sauce, steamed rice & broccoli. The desert of the crème brûlée cheesecake was amazing also. Really enjoyable evening. The music is quite lively & loud, if you want a quiet, intimate dinner then this is not the venue for you

Such a great dining experience. Buzzing. But not too loud. Impeccable service, thank you Georgia. All the staff were knowledgable and helpful. Food was next level. Prawn and crab toast, sashimi - amazingly fresh. Pork belly, crispy and so flavoursome. Slow cooked carrots were just delicious. Drinks menu extensive and well suited. Deserts - I cannot rate them more highly. Very busy. As they should be - book in advance. It was our last night in NZ and a brilliant end to a truly great epicurean tour of the north island. Had such a good meal when I ate here during my vacation! I haven't had a week since without thinking about it! The staff was kind, prices were reasonable, the location is perfect, nothing bad to say; I will come back to New Zealand, and visit Hello Beasty again for sure!

Georgina was a lovely host. The food does take a while to come out but it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was flavorful and juicy, the cheesecake had just the right amount of sweetness without being overly sugary and the dumplings with the sauce.... it hit the spot. I like that some items can be reduced in size to accommodate a person who is eating by themselves.

Recommended!!! A lovely Lebanese restaurant run by a family with a long history from Lebanon. Although I’ve tried many Middle Eastern and Mediterranean restaurants, this one still impresses me and brings pleasant surprises! Great food, friendly and super nice staff. P1. Hummus 5/5 Creamy and savory hummus served with crispy herb bread. The spiced oil tastes like a mild chili oil — aromatic and flavorful without being spicy. Together with the crunchy peas, it’s simply delicious. P2&3. Jazar – Roasted Carrots 2/5 The roasted carrots are soft and juicy, paired with sweet and sour pickled carrot shreds, crumbled nuts, and a special white sauce on top. It’s tasty, though not my favorite dish. P4&5. Pan-Fried Fish with Spinach and Brown Creamy Sauce 3/5 The fish skin is perfectly crispy, while the meat inside is tender and delicate. The brown creamy sauce has a slightly sour and savory flavor that complements the fish beautifully. P6&7. Kenef – Dessert 5/5 The orange blossom syrup is wonderfully unique, carrying the fragrance of refreshing orange peel and blooming flowers. It’s transparent and the consistency is clear and light. The kataifi pastry is crispy and with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, it’s an absolute delight.

Had one of the most unforgettable meals at Gemmayze Street. The kibbeh nayyeh with venison was insanely delicious. The falafel was also amazing — crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. And the bread with baba ghanoush and hummus was unreal — smoky, creamy, nutty, and just perfectly balanced with paprika oil and crispy chickpeas. The lamb skewers and chicken thigh were both packed with flavor, and the red cabbage dish was surprisingly amazing — sweet, nutty, and so well-cooked I still think about it. The tabbouleh and Ossem potato dish were also super tasty. And the desserts? Bombe completely blew my mind — torched meringue with sorbets underneath, just perfection. The Knefe with orange blossom was the cherry on top — fragrant and comforting. Every dish felt thoughtful and full of flavor. Such a special night — delicious food and great memories with friends. Will definitely be back!🖤

This multifaceted approach is echoed in the ambiance of voluptuous jewel-tone blown-glass lights that reimagine mosaic lamps along with warm wooden tables, and sleek Sky Tower views. Menu highlights include the Foule (green asparagus, fried onion, coriander) and Shish barak (potato and chard dumplings, yoghurt, cheese, chilli). A feast for all of the senses. Highly recommended.

Gemmayze Street is our favorite restaurant to visit when we head to AKL. Everything we have had is delicious. Have been numerous times and it has never let me down. Most recently was a group of 9 of us and we had the set menu. They catered for our dietaries w ease and had the perfect amount of food. I absolutely loved the side of peas- gimme more!! Great for a group of friends so you can order lots of things to try. 4-6 would be ideal! St Kevin’s arcade can be loud and echoey- but we could still talk to those next to us- but my mom would have struggled :)

Very nicely done inside and with plenty of food options anyone will enjoy their time there. Whether it’s a small group and lunch or dinner meeting, there’s plenty to choose from and a place to be found. Even at busiest times you’ll find a spot to sit in one of the many restaurants. Great atmosphere with outside dining areas too.

Great place to eat. There are many restaurants to choose from, each with its unique style. Worth a visit. I can suggest the El Sizzling Chorizo for a legit Argentinian bbq, Grown-up Donuts for a good bite, Miann for coffee and fancy deserts and Ponsonby Crepes for authentic French crepe. Tip: if you are going for a takeaway, the garage via Brown Street is 30 minutes free. You can always try to find a spot.

First time and we went to 5 different places all but one were outstanding a particular mention goes to Tokyo Club which was so so good. A great place to go if you love good food and all in one spot. We will definitely be back!

This place is very cool. Plenty of choice for eats and drinks. Now has a retail aspect too. Go in early around 4pm and you're guaranteed a seat.

My friends and I went to My Fried Chicken in Ponsonby Central, then had dessert at Miann. It was overall very fun with yummy food. The prices were on the higher end, and the table was a bit cramped with limited seating for each food stall? Restaurant? It seems to be a very fancy food court. I thoroughly enjoyed the food there, and I would love to try everything else in there. Parking was a bit tight as usual in Ponsonby, even on a Monday night there were heaps of cars around. I opted to park a bit further away and walked up to our destination. I would go back again, but definitely not during the weekend as I believe it would be jam packed with people which I personally would like to avoid.

An absolutely heart-warming, do-not-miss dinner in Auckland. Don't get a table - sit at the chefs counter. The food is incredible, the core ingredients and flavor each dish is amazing but the garnish and finish seasonings are really what bring out tremendous depth and range. At the counter, it practically has the feel of being a guest in someone's home. Cozy tables and corners everywhere, but the counter is really what brings the experience home. We felt welcomed and left with hearts and bellies full.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Auckland rn. Staff were so warm and welcoming and the food was next level! The sommelier and waitress were extremely helpful in choosing our food etc and the pacing of the meal was perfect (no awkward super long waits) we will definitely be back! Ps. Get the chicken skin parfait, squid starter & duck for the main YUMMMM

Had a lovely dining experience at Mr Morris. The staff were friendly and atmosphere was welcoming. The wine selection was excellent, our choice was full of flavour. The food was creative and thoughtfully presented, with generous portions for the mains. However, while two of the dishes looked stunning, their taste didn’t quite live up to the presentation. Overall, still an enjoyable meal and a place worth visiting for its service, wine, and inventive menu.

We had a wonderful birthday dinner at Mr. Morris and absolutely loved the experience! The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour. I especially enjoyed the sauces, which were incredibly tasty and elevated each dish. The cocktails and wines were also fantastic, creative, balanced, and just the right touch for a special celebration. The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, such a memorable evening. Highly recommend for a refined yet relaxed dining experience!

My friend and I tried the “Mr Morris Experience Menu”, which included eight dishes each plus a side of potatoes to share - and what an exceptional culinary experience that was! What I love most about this restaurant is how creative and thoughtfully executed the food is. Every dish features unique flavour combinations, beautiful presentation, and a strong emphasis on textures, spices, and balance. The sauces they pair with the dishes are absolutely divine and provide a distinctive touch. 🦑 The highlight of the night was the squid (for both of us) - it doesn’t look like much but the flavours came together beautifully and the squid was incredibly tender. 🥔 The sauce that came with the potato side also deserves a special mention. If only the potatoes had been crispy, they would have been THE ultimate potato dish in town. 🐟 I hate snapper, but the way they cooked it could convince me otherwise. It was unbelievably soft and didn’t have that rough/dry texture that usually puts me off. The yeast emulsion it came with was amazing. 🥥🍦 The salted coconut ice cream really took us by surprise - super refreshing and came with crunchy desiccated coconut around it. The smoked banana caramel was a nice touch. 👎🏽 The only let-down was the cauliflower dish, which lacked flavour and substance. It felt underwhelming compared to the others, mostly consisting of shaved raw cauliflower with three prawns underneath. This was my fourth visit and just like every other time, I absolutely loved it (cauliflower aside)! It was my first time trying the set menu after always going à la carte, and I’d still highly recommend this place!

God tier food. We got the Mr. Morris experience menu and I’ve never seen more creative, fascinating and fun food done with so much consistency. Absolutely mindblowing experience. Been a huge fan of Georgia Van Prehn’s cooking ever since I visited Alta and I was more than happy to see they put the carrot tartare with cashew cream on the menu as a snack! don’t even know if it’s typically part of the tasting menu or not as my partner asked for it specifically because she knew how much I loved that dish. Fish with feijoa, the squid “noodles,” the insane steak - so worth your money and such nice people! Thanks so much for the amazing drinks pairings too, still thinking about that yuzu sake :)

Fantastic service. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more. From the absolutely beautiful venue and decor, to the fantastic menu lineup everyone with every dietary need was fully satisfied - and enjoyed the food more anywhere they have ever eaten in Auckland. Enormous praise from a group of about 20 people. From the amazing quality of the fresh seafood to the complex flavours of the mains, decadent desserts, and the amazing fries (simple but very notable) this is the perfect location for a function, work dinner or romantic date.

I have tried the restaurant month set with these guys This was French dining as it’s meant to be, smaller portions, strong presentation, and flavour combinations that work together rather than shout over each other. The pacing allowed you to appreciate each course, though diners chasing big, hearty portions might leave wishing for a little more on the plate. Overall, a stylish and well-executed experience where the craft shows in the details. Lovely staff Great view Great location and decoration Tables are a bit wobbly, need some attention

We arrived at about 8pm and they found a table for us straight away. Not all places in Auckland accommodate so easily. The service was polite and friendly and attentative. The food was awesome. Especially the steak. The place was lively but easy enough to have a conversation. The menu is great and I really enjoyed coming here.

My wife and I dined here for our wedding anniversary. We opted for the late lunch and went with the 9 course Winter Feast menu. I can only say that the food was fantastic and would be hard pressed to pick which was my favourite. I am not really a desert fan, but the chocolate mousse and the souffle were next level. Staff were exceptional and gave a good briefing on each course. I will definitely be visiting here again.

Beautiful restaurant, reasonable price. Food is very well represented. A little bit difficult to have attentions from the waiters but understandable because they all multi-tasking. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Very happy with our dinner!

Great ambience with beautiful view. We had the Sole fish, the meat was flaky, tender and moist with light tangy sauce which is not too heavy for lunch. IPA Craft beers were good and refreshing.

Went with friends for the restaurant month promotion. Great service and food. We needed to change our booking from 4 people to 5 people last minute and they were very accomodating. Had a nice Monday afternoon dining experience.

The restaurant is quite small with an open kitchen. Food was yummy and served very quickly. Reminded us of being in Italy, though the portions were smaller. Red wine recommended by wait staff was delicious.

My fourth visit here, this time with family to try the spring menu. We had the pear and honey special with focaccia, lamb shoulder pappardelle and the cacio e pepe. Everything was so yum, but the pappardelle was the standout for me. The staff were, as always, warm and helpful with great recommendations from the specials and wine menu. Always a great experience, and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s on the next seasonal menu!

Had a great evening at Pici last Saturday the food, service, and atmosphere were all truly impressive. The fettuccine anchovy was a standout: rich, bold, and perfectly balanced. A dish that truly lingers in the memory. I also loved the selection of organic wines, with excellent pairing suggestions from the team. Sitting at the bar gave us a front-row seat to the kitchen in action — efficient, passionate, and inspiring. Overall, a delightful experience. I’d definitely return great vibes, delicious food, and a team that clearly cares.

I have to be honest my expectations are way to high for this place. Ive been wanting to try Pici for the longest time, tonight we picked this place to celebrate my brother’s birthday. The fettuccine with anchovy is way too salty for our liking I know anchovies are already salty but it’s excessive. The cacio e pepe was okay meh, not something that I would remember and rave about.

Great spot with handmade pasta. Stopped for a small plate and wine on the way through the city. It smelled great and was busy for a reason. Yum!

The staff were very well trained, all our needs were fulfilled but she was not particularly engaged. They also had a full house with just two people so maybe just understaffed and over stretched. Food was underwhelming. Some good ideas and flavours but often lacking substance. The atmosphere was amazing. Cosy candlelight, very intimate and felt special. Great date night spot for that vibe.

You arrive in heaven, meet God, kiss your gramma, and then they hand you this focaccia. The first bite of the crust brought tears to my eyes—divine. Everything was delicious. Plates to share (you don’t want to) and great timing from course to course. Some unique local wines are available and the semifredda was to die for. We celebrated our anniversary and would gladly do so again! Reservation may be helpful, we showed up at 545 and there was only one table available for walk up.

Our first time dining here and won’t be our last! It was a wonderful experience, from start to finish! The gorgeous welcoming staff, the delectable dishes, the ambience, comfortable seats, the company we kept, everything was perfect!

We have been to Soul bar on many occasions and really enjoyed it in the past, how ever that last few times we have been very disappointed and specially the last visit was for my partners birthday. We weren't there for the ladies lunch we were paying full price and spending alot of money. The service was so bad one of the waitresses plonked our food infront of us with no words or even a smile and walked off. The food was tasteless and nothing to rav about. We ordered the prawn pasta and it came out Looking and tasting over cooked with a prawn head on top of it with about 3 little bits of prawn through it, the seafood chow was made with chicken stock and not very nice, the fish dish was average along with the 2 entrée we had. We won't be back as we can cook better at home.

I love Soul Bar, and this time it was a tuesday lunch with the girls. The food is consistently delicious and full of flavor. This time we enjoyed: Scampi cocktail, jalapeño & lime, Ricotta filled tortelli, sunday sauce, calabrian chilli Tuna tartare, calabrian chilli, oyster mayo, potato galette West coast whitebait fritters, lemon butter. We will be back!

A great location with beautiful harbour view. Atmosphere is amazing, staff is very friendly, service was quick and food was delicious. A good restaurant for family & friends catchup.

The food and drink at Soul Bar is exceptional. We ordered a variety of starters, which were all unique and delicious. My favourite starter was the tuna with wasabi mayo. For my main, I ordered the lamb rack. The lamb was tender and flavourful. Kumara was also served with the lamb, providing a soft and crunchy texture to the meal. Additionally, my cocktail, the Soul Punch, was delicious. The service is also great. The wait staff were kind and enthusiastic.

We came before so this was a repeat visit. Did not disappoint! Soul has amazing cocktails and delicious food. Top favourites were the tiger prawns starter, scampi alla chittara and market fish.

Beautiful food and lovely view overlooking the water. My salad had such beautiful flavours with every mouthful!! Big servings !! The pate was devine too We booked for lunch - as had been disappointed before for not booking.

My husband and I had a dinner at the Grove to celebrate our birthday. As a new mum, I need to breast feeding my baby and only have 3hours to travel from north shore and get back. I asked the grove if they can serve the food as fast as they can to help me. They had a very sufficient pace and I enjoyed 8 dishes and got back home in time! They do care their customers. Appreciate it. The food is full of imagination and is of high quality. I like the ice cream and sorbet especially. Sadly hear the news that they are closing in a month. Hopefully the grove will be back one day.

We were sitting in the restaurant trying to remember a similar dining experience. We went through all the Sydney fine dining you would expect, extended out to NSW, across Australia and there ended up being only 2 experiences we felt were equivalent. L'en-clume a 3 Michelin star pop up in Sydney in 2023, from the UK that we were lucky enough to experience when they were in Sydney. L'en-clume are coming back to Sydney! we are hoping to get tickets and go again! - we actually still have the Kale plant they gave us as a gift when we left the restaurant, growing in our garden! The second equivalent experience would be Hentley Farm Restaurant The food ate The Grove is superb, truly experimental, truly interesting, but with a keen eye for flavor and the experience of dining. The Horse Mussel and Wasabi, Wasabi were both stand outs, but anything on the menu would stand up in any kitchen in the world. The wine pairing was superb with the palate of @andreamartinisi intertwining and layering the experience of the wine with the food. Service, impeccable. Get in quick, the owners are calling it a day after 20 years and close in late March 2025.

**I went to The Grove in February and left the review straight, but somehow it was not visible. Thus writing this again** One of favourite fine dining restaurant for sure, and happily visited here again on my birthday. The menu has been changed but still had amazing tastes for each dishes, really enjoyed every single course. The crayfish Banh Mi, was somewhat interesting, added extra catchy flavour when it was wrapped with wasabi leaves. Duck was another very lovely dish, the meat was very soft but chewy at the same time, marinated well with its deep flavoures sauce. 55 days aged beef was definite highlight of the course. The quality of calve was really outstanding, it literally melted on the tongue. Rest of course were really great too, they all had unique but full of characters, kept my tastebuds busy. Happy to visit here again on another special occasion to celebrate! Huge thanks to The Grove for outstanding meal:)

Very fancy restaurant in Auckland. The menu is small in portions and you can enjoy many items. The view from the windows is not great, but you will be satisfied with the atmosphere and food in the restaurant. Also, the desserts are very unique. Regrettably, the menu options for course meals are poor, but if you have any requests you should discuss them with the restaurant in advance.

From start to finish it was an adventure and a delight to our palettes. We were impressed with the service and atmosphere. Absolute high class and professional. We did the 7 course degustation menu. Stunning looking plates!! Couldn’t rave about this place more. Last picture is the full menu.

One of the best fine dining restaurant in Auckland. Been there about 4 or 5 times, they always have impeccable service and outstanding food. Last visit was Sunday for a roast (special menu, 3 course deal for $85 lunch time) Didn’t disappoint, we had an amazing time.

Had such a great time at Baduzzi! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for both a casual meal or a special night out. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly without being over the top. The food was outstanding , every dish was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The meatballs are a must-try, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. Overall, it felt like a really genuine Italian dining experience with a nice balance of elegance and comfort. Definitely a spot I’d recommend and can’t wait to go back!

We had the Cavolo Nero Bottoni, Tiramiau, Gluten-Free Buttered Maltagliati, and Torta Caprese, everything was absolutely delicious! My husband is coeliac, so we always struggle to find an Italian restaurant with great gluten-free options, but this place was perfect. The presentation was beautiful, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the staff were so friendly. Definitely the best Italian dining experience we’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to go back! 🇮🇹✨

We had an outstanding dinner at Baduzzi, made truly unforgettable by Stella. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond in every possible way. Attentive without being intrusive, warm, professional, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had a great time. Two of us work in hospitality and we have pretty high expectations, but Stella exceeded every one of them. Her knowledge, timing, and energy were spot on, and she managed to strike that perfect balance between efficiency and personality that’s so rare to find. While the food was exceptional (as always at Baduzzi), Stella was without a doubt the highlight of our evening. She is the epitome of what great service should be, and an absolute credit to the restaurant.

The ambience is pitch-perfect. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable, making you feel genuinely cared for. The menu celebrates Italian cuisine, with Lamb rack and chicken saltimboca standing out amongst the food we ordered.

This is my third dining experience at this establishment and it gets better every time. I had the lamb meatballs which were 10 out of 10 accompanied with the focaccia. For main, I had the tortellini which could Quite possibly be the best meal I’ve ever had. The meal was absolutely superb. If only we weren’t so full, we could have had some desert which I’m sure would have been just as great. Our server whom I did not get their name was attentive and friendly. The food was brought out incredibly quickly. I cannot rate this establishment enough.

This was such a good find while we were in New Zealand. The service was fantastic - our waiter was super helpful with picking out some great options! All the food we got was amazing and came out fairly quickly. We will definitely return if we are in town again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a great Italian spot!

Super nice steak if you want to treat yourself. I found the service was a bit slow but the food was top notch. They show you the cuts before you order which is really handy as if you are not an officialdo then it is not clear what you are going to get. Order you mains, sauce and then side. You are talking about $100-$150 per person by the time you include drinks and sides. The meat was super tender and glad we came. We went on a Thursday and it was busy, with people sitting outside. Well worth a visit and the food quality of food is excellent.

Love the atmosphere. Even though we had to wait over 30 minutes for our meals, it was definitely worth the wait. Every steaks were cooked to perfection.

After watching some tiktoks we decided while we were in town we should try it and WOW We ordered (takeaway) roasted Bone marrow, Waldorf and Caesar salad as a starter then T-bone and Rib-eye as our main. My partner and I visited Jervois Steakhouse on a busy Friday around 1:45pm—and from the moment we walked in, we knew we were in good hands. The ambience is warm and inviting with classic steakhouse charm—leather chairs, rich brown tones, curated art, and a glowing fireplace that adds just the right touch of comfort to the upstairs space. Now let’s cut to the chase—the steaks? Absolutely divine. Absolutely worth the price. We shared the mighty 800g T-Bone and a perfectly marbled Scotch Steak. Both were cooked to perfection and packed with deep, satisfying flavor. The hollandaise and mushroom sauces were the clear standouts—rich, velvety, and the perfect complement to the steaks. But the real surprise? The Wagyu fat roasted kumara. Sweet, smoky, and finished with whiskey caramel, pecan, and feta—it stole the show. Honestly, it might be one of the best sides I’ve ever had. The potato gratin and seasonal greens were also excellent, but that kumara… unforgettable. We paired everything with a couple of bold reds that brought it all together. Dessert was a crème brûlée and a classic affogato—simple, satisfying, and just the right finish. Service was outstanding—genuinely warm, knowledgeable, and perfectly timed despite the lunch rush. Our waiter went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable. His recommendations were also excellent! In short: top-tier food, flawless service, and an atmosphere that feels effortlessly polished. We left full, happy, and already planning our return.

Choose this restaurant near the harbour for our first dinner in Auckland. It’s a bit pricey especially for their wines but the food is great. From the oysters to the dessert of petite four they were all good and tasty. The ambience is excellent as it’s just next to the harbour. Though it’s a seafood restaurant the braised short rib we had was very tasty and tender. When we return to Auckland before flying home perhaps we’ll return for other items.

"sir , would you like to have dessert? " "Actually, if I have room for dessert, I'd rather use that space for more oysters". They were that good. I had 3 dozen all by myself. They were by far the best I've ever had. The prawns. Ufff. I was ravenous. Excellent fresh seafood and great service. They will leave a lasting impression upon my tummy and my soul for if gluttony is a sin I am guilty.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We tried the $39 menu at Harbourside and were blown away. The sourdough starter came out warm, perfectly chewy, and the nutty brown butter it was served with was just divine. The green-lipped mussels were fresh, plump, and sitting in the most beautiful sauce that I couldn’t get enough of. The steak was cooked beautifully, and the jus with its rich sauce took it to another level. Sides were also standouts… crisp broccolini for freshness, the cheesiest, yummiest mac & cheese, and honestly the best fries I’ve had in the city. On top of the food, the service was outstanding… attentive, warm, and genuine. The lovely girl who looked after us made the experience even better, and it’s rare to find that kind of service in the city. Highly recommend!

Fabulous views and great tasting food couldn't quite lift the poor service. We had a balcony table (as requested when we made reservation) but then waited ages for 4 tiny bits of bread as pre-starter. Luke-warm starter arrived, dropped cutlery stayed on floor, wine was poured when waiter remembered. No upselling to 2nd bottle. No upselling of aperitif cocktail. Waited over 20 mins for mains plates to be cleared after having been seen & noted by at least 3 other waiting staff. No coffee upsold. The food & wine were lovely, the ambience and views brilliant but service could have lifted this to 5 star.

Back in Nov 2023, twas my first day in Auckland and I was starving. Wanted a proper meal but it was quite hard to find halal options around the pier. I went to this restaurant and asked them if their Fish and Chips is made with beer batter, to which they confirmed. I asked the waitress if they could just grill the fish for me, and she said no, but another server, probably the manager, came over and said he would check with the kitchen and came back, reassuring me that they would make a grilled fish for me with chips. It was a banger! I was so touched by that. Thank you!

On the spur of the moment my husband and I decided to go for dinner at the newly opened Wildfire restaurant at the Hobsonville Marina. We’ve long waited for another restaurant to open in this area and after their opening night last week we thought we’d go check it out! The renovations inside created a lovely atmosphere with beautifully styled booth seating from where you can watch the chefs work their magic in the kitchen. They also have Harbour view seating with regular tables and chairs. We opted to try their Churrasco Special for $54.95 per person, which includes 6 types of meats and accompaniments. The beef rump was just perfect, with the optimum pink/red color and perfect juiciness! Their polenta fries and other accompaniments added delicious texture and flavours to the experience, with their chicken, sirloin and lamb also forming a delectable part of the experience. The owner was friendly and involved, greeting guests and chatting with the patrons, the waiting staff were attentive and gracious and all in all it was more than just a meal, but a whole experience. I would highly recommend supporting this newly opened establishment and enjoying their view of the harbour along with their top notch foods!

Been to Wildfire several times and always had the Churassco experience, tonight we tried the A LA Carte Menu. The food and service is always exemplary, Reuben our waiter was really geared towards excellence in customer service. Our steaks were done to perfection.

We had the pleasure of being served by Olivia i think it was her name. She did such an amazing job keeping our table of 8 entertained and made sure we had everything that we needed. The servers were great and we really enjoyed the food. Loved the new atmosphere and location away from the city. Staff and owner were Top Notch 👌 Service was beyond expectations. Love that for them 🙂

Took my partner here for his birthday and we had the pleasure of being served and taken care of by Olive who went above and beyond with her service to us and everyone around us. She was fast friendly and very informative, she was also the only server on the floor that night and kept everything under control whilst having a friendly smile on her face the whole time which just made our night and dinner that more enjoyable. Food never stopped coming and was absolutely flavourful and delicious. Thanks Wildfire and Olive for a wonderful night we will definitely be back soon!

We had a truly excellent dining experience. It's a French restaurant with a lovely, cozy ambiance, making it ideal for get-togethers. We tried their special fish and chicken of the day, and they are both incredibly flavorful. The apple cider was also delightful.

Cozy restaurant - food is great! Ordered a lamb shank; and a 3-course meal - [French onion soup, panfried fish and apple croisade (apple pie)]. Lamb shank was nicely done and the sauce was not salty. Fish was firm and the skin was fried crispy. However, I didn’t quite like the mixed vegetables on the plate as it was too soggy for me (and I generally don’t like vegetables either). The thin slice of Apple croisade was sweet touch to the end. Generally, food is good!

Cool French music playing. DELICIOUS! Quaint atmosphere with wonderful, friendly waitstaff. Jerome helped us translate and pronounce some of the things we might like on the menu. Amazing everything from start to finish. Can’t wait to go back for crème brûlée

Wonderfully authentic French restaurant in Auckland. What an amazing find! Went on a Wednesday night and it was full (luckily we made reservations). The atmosphere and food were very French and the service warm and friendly. I had the set menu of French onion soup, coq au vin and crème brûlée - all very delicious. A perfect place to visit on a cold and wet Auckland evening (or any time really). Highly recommended

The food was bit bland along with the red wine sauce, could be much better but happy to have them in the town. A good french vibe restaurant for sure with typical french hospitality, as the staffs gossips quite lot about their each customers on their own language, shouldn’t be that judgemental even I feel they are under pressure. Besides the french hoso I guess, I could say experience was okay.

The ambience of the place is amazing and takes you to a place where you could just sit back and relax. The food was on point. Mezze for Two was fresh and bread soft and hot. Dips were also amazing. Chicken with rice and 3 other sides were also succulent. We also ordered the non alcoholic sodas which were a 7/10. They could have had a bit more flavour in them but they did compliment the food. Portion sizes are a little disappointing in comparison to the price one pays. Staff though were all really good and very welcoming, and interacted with us to make sure we were comfortable with everything.

A large, spacious, and bright restaurant with an amazing and lovely atmosphere. We were looking for halal breakfast and found this place just two minutes' walk from our hotel. We ordered two types of eggs with falafel. The place is clean, and the staff are friendly and cheerful. I highly recommend it. I’m from Bahrain (a country from the Arabian Gulf).

Excellent restaurant in the heart of downtown Auckland. Amazing food - I had bharat spiced chicken, and halloumi, followed by their hot cross bun pudding. Mains come with various sides. The chef/owner is very proud of her restaurant, and rightly so. Highly recommended - it's worth buying their recipe book. Oh, and dependent on availability, the hot cross buns are incredible - they use the same recipe in the pudding.

A Cozy Experience at Ima Cuisine… Ima Cuisine is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the warm, cozy vibe and lovely lighting set the perfect mood for dinner. We started with the mezze platter…The pillowy, fresh pita paired beautifully with the creamy hummus, smoky baba ganoush, and smooth labneh. The pickled veggies added the perfect punch, and the falafel was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside—some of the best falafels I’ve had in a while. For mains, we shared the halloumi and chicken along with a variety of sides. I’m already planning my next visit—especially during the day so I can have their famous hot cross buns! If you're looking for comforting, authentic Middle Eastern flavours in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, Ima Cuisine is a must-visit. Highly recommend :)

Adorable industrial cafe! This is a chain, but this location is so cool. You can watch them make and cook the bagels as you order. The sandwiches were very good and the ingredients high quality. A bit pricy, but well worth it!

This place made me fall in love with bagel ❤️ their bagel is crispy on the outside and soft inside. The sesame or spices on top of the bagel toasted with fire gives it extra fragrant. We had King Salmon and Mean Joe Green, and it’s so delicious and perfect for breakfast. Love the cozy environment too with fireplace, warm us up during cold weather. It’s a lil bit pricey but worth it 👍

I’m a big bagel lover, so I will give the bagels 5/5, ordered the basic bagel with only butter, soft and fluffy. You can see someone is making fresh bagels, and I loved how they represented sauces. However, the price is not reasonable, too expensive😭$5.9 for only a bagel with butter, if you want vegemite, $3 extra

Holy crap it was great - like a real Montreal bagel but a NZ approach (I asked for cream for my coffee and he got me heavy cream LMAO, but his colleague quickly said I think you need milk! Haha loved it!)

This was the absolute highlight of our day!! Ms. Nikita, Ms. Harwinda, and Mr. Alex were such a dream (along with the rest of the staff!)! We arrived planning to have breakfast and it happened to be a day where they were teaching kids to roll their own. Our kids (ages 3 and 6) had so much fun! They got to go behind the counter and roll bagels alongside the masters. Then they got to watch the cooking and baking process. The end product was so scrumptious!!! Thank you so much! Also, the filter coffee. We would go back just for this coffee.

When I first seen the size of the dishes I said: where do we go to have a pizza or else after as I'm famished. But was I disappointed....?! Yes in a good way. The last bites from the last dish I couldn't even eat it anymore.Each bite from each and every dish was not what it seemed to be....all was bursting of flavour. Your tongue gets super excited and buzzes....it is like a culinary orgasm...so you better wait at least half a minute before you take another bite. And prepare for surprises everything will taste differently than you expect to.And every little detail from plate to arrangement is very expertly chosen.And really you have to allow 2.5hrs for the full 7 dish menu....you can't rush it or you spoil it. So even if outside looks very simple and you would not expect for such a restaurant in that place prepare for Michelin macromolecular type of cuisine to delight you. Well done to Kazuya and the whole team.

The service was outstanding and staff was very attentive. The food was delicious and the courses were delivered at an excellent pace. The portion sizes varied, felt appropriate for each dish, and together made for a meal that did not leave you hungry or overly full, as some prex fixe menus can. Of particular note, the wagyu dish was simple yet elegant and may be one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I would definitely recommend this as a must-try stop in Auckland!

They were soo kind here that I wish I could give this a higher rating but unfortunately the ambience was a big miss. Not the vibe you’d expect at a fixed course restaurant ESPECIALLY given the price point. Outdated leather seats, poor lighting, cracked serving dishes … The food dishes themselves were all very unique but only half were tasty (my husband liked more than I did). Also one of our servers couldn’t answer basic questions like the difference in the two types of sake they were selling. Quite disappointed overall especially given the high rating :/

Had a truly memorable night at Kazuya with the 7-course degustation. If you like food with creativity, elegance, and pace, this is one of the better fine dining experiences in Auckland. The dishes are individually beautiful and thoughtfully composed. Every course felt special. The “Texture” plate with all the seasonal veggies was a standout and the beef course was cook perfectly! Totally worth it for a special night out.

Food was superb, I thought the small portions won’t fill me up, but it did. Love their Glutinous/ Mochi bread combination. We had a 7 course meal, I think it is worth it for a special occasion. One of the best Plum Wine I’ve had, for the price anyways.

Cosy little restaurant. Good ambiance, no loud music, soft warm light. We ordered two entrees and two mains. Everything was delicious, and the portion was very generous. The waiter offered to take a couple of photos for us too.

I came here for the restaurant's month menu. They had a good course menu. But also wanted to try snails for the first time in my life, so I added one. Really fresh salad, squid was amazing. And mains were perfect. Loved their mushroom sauce on the top of the meat. Although my partner loved fish more, my favourite was steak. I was so excited for the creme brulee, but it didn't have enough sugar coats. Thus, it was only soft. Which is very sad. The cheese platter was okay. Good light dessert. Staff was really kind to us, so he made our special day perfectly.

A great night as usual. Friendly service, delicious food and good vibe. Starter Mushroom Risotto. Different kinds of mushrooms are used and cooked to perfect. The risotto is rich and feel like walking in a forest. The aromatics especially onions are deep fried to add extra aromas. Main - duck leg confit. Meat fell off bone and packed with flavors. Signature dish not to be missed. Finished with cheese platter but I was too full already.

Wow definitely returning prior to leaving Akld. The food was divine and the way that the flavours danced in my mouth was magical. Big, bold main flavours, with subtle undertones pairing perfectly to complete the meals. We had the set menu, the portions were huge, and I struggled to get through to dessert (these words are almost unheard of from me) I had the salmon tartare, which was delicious and could have easily with a side passed as a main. I chose the steak and it arrived presented well and perfectly cooked. Rare and juicy on the inside, and cooked perfectly on the outer. The mousse was on point not to sweet and of a thicker consistency, and was finished off with a raspberries - YUM I throughly enjoyed all aspects of my meal, and if we hadnt of had the set would have expected to pay between $100 - $150 happily per person. This restaurant is an absolute gem. Well worth a visit.. Henry the MaitreD is amazing. Attentive, quick, and really lovely ...

Such a little Gem in CBD! We visited Auckland only for a few days, this place is just a great surprise for us. Food are just so tasty and amazingly arranged, coffee and chilli hot chocolate are all amazing. The service is so nice, super friendly owner and staff, the vibe is so chill. Merci for everything. Do not recommend. Service was extremely slow! We were a large group of 10. 20min wait time between each drink order, we ended up just ordering a drink each time we received one due to the wait. We ordered food and what do you know triple the wait time. The table started to panic when we saw she was going to attempt the memory game of all our orders, but she whipped out the notepad after two people started ordering. Two other tables came after us to the restaurant a table of two and a table of six both tables of which were served their food long before ours. Forget about the food we were still waiting for the drinks. The waitress seemed a bit out of place going up and down the stairs a few times for no good reason, wondering around the outside bar trying to look busy with no drinks in hand, even the standard coke order was taking too long. Just frustrating. We then asked what's the hold up on the drinks, and were advised there's a function on. What? A function of five people? From what I could see we were the largest group there who also booked. Felt like a sorry excuse. A second waitress then took over but too little too late. The food arrived many years later, on a positive note it was delicious. However, a forgotten dish left a sour remark. Looks like the notepad didnt help in the end. We spent a good dollar, more than anyone else would have spent that night but I didn't realise we were paying for the waiting game like you're at the A&E. Anyways good music, but bad vibes.

Our first time in New Zealand, and our experience at Lula's inn was great. We sat outdoors in their heated covered deck and enjoyed eating by water. The food was great, drinks were delicious and our server was so friendly and accommodating.

We came in for a night out and loved it so much we had to come back the next morning for brunch! The $60 per person brunch was absolutely worth it—delicious food, great atmosphere, and Amelia was incredible. She kept everything flowing seamlessly, especially the drinks, and made the whole experience feel effortless. Such a fantastic time, and I can’t wait for my next trip to Auckland so I can come back again!

Georgia was our waitress whilst we dined here with all our children. Has made our kids end of season trip just that bit easier. A large group from the bay of plenty from Tepuna Junior Rugby. Georgia went above her role of not only ensuring all our meals arrived on time but also ensured our children didnt roam while us adults ate our dinner. Would definitely come back, good staff are hard to come by and it is clear Georgia is a huge asset to this establishment.

It’s a rare occasion for me to have breakfast or brunch since I don’t normally eat this early in the day, but the brunch here was so good. Had my gluten free and dairy free big portions, and I was really enjoying my time here. The place was so adorable with the pink hue and other decorative items. The staffs were very welcoming and friendly. I did totally vibing with this place

Stopped in for breakfast while visiting from a cruise ship and this place was such a great local find! You can really tell it’s a favorite among locals — lots of morning commuters grabbing coffee, and the service was quick and friendly. The vibe feels a bit like a modern container café: casual, cozy, and quietly bustling. I ordered a flat white, which had a nice smooth flavor (though the latte art was a little on the simple side). My mushroom eggs benedict was delicious — served on crispy hash browns instead of an English muffin, which was a fun twist! The eggs were perfectly poached, and the sautéed spinach was especially flavorful and well seasoned. So it’s a great spot for vegan and vegetarian people as well as meat eaters alike. A lovely spot for a quick breakfast or casual meet-up with friends. Definitely recommend if you’re nearby in the morning!

Great cafe on high street. We arrived in a Sunday at 9am and got a seat straight away, by 10, there was a line of people waiting at the door. Coffee was good and the eggs Benedict was also nice. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and the potato was tasty, however the spinach was pretty bland (which is fine, but it’s advertised as having flavourings). Great cafe and nice seating out the back.

High streets best kept secret! Visit on a sunny day for a beautiful outdoor escape or a rainy one for a cozy coffee (the heaters / cover work wonders). Coffee and service is always 10/10, and the Bacon Benedict is always hits the spot. Love that they also support local businesses as well. Definitely visit if you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful brunch spot in the CBD.

Outdoor seating area with heater available, so you don't smell like the kitchen after your meal. I had lamb pappadelle and a flat white and both tasted great! Service was prompt and attentive.

I absolutely love this cafe! Tucked away in the heart of the bustling CBD, it's a hidden gem. They offer a wide variety of coffee options, including excellent matcha and chai lattes. I am also a huge fan of their latte art and sad if they don't have time for a good one... Whether you prefer your coffee hot or iced, with almond milk or coconut milk, they have you covered, along with other great drink choices like one of my favourites: hot toodie. Their menu is compact yet diverse, featuring everything from delicious burgers to granola, and the best avocado toast you’ll ever taste, not to mention their scrumptious pastries. The food is not only delicious but beautifully presented, and if the cafe isn’t too busy, it’s served quickly. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, making it perfect for any occasion—whether it's a date, a catch-up with friends, or a business meeting. The staff are always friendly and helpful, especially if you’re a regular (which I highly recommend becoming!). I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere.

We had a dinner last night, we were there for truffle dishes, so we had 3 truffle toasts and the truffle fettuccine, toast are great but the fettuccine was so salty! The waiter asked us for feedback which I told him it’s too salty, he just told us “ yeah, because it’s truffle” well, we love Apero a lot, basically will come every year! We also had other truffle dishes somewhere else, never had one like that ever! We might ordered less dishes than we should for 3 person, but we still spent $167 last night, and that service like that was not good enough to be honest.I still love Apero and the boss is nice, but with this kind of experience, I’ll double think before I go next time.

This was a great experience. My first time dining here and I cant wait to visit again on my next trip to Auckland. The wine selection is great and if you let the team choose a wine for you, you might get something that isn't on the wine list. This is my kind of place! The food was excellent too. No complaints from me. I will definitely be back.

Our second time at Apero in ten days, and both times were terrific. The food is imaginative and beautifully presented. The service is so good - a really friendly host takes you through the menu and the wine list in a very charming way, and you feel very welcome, appreciated and well cared for. All the dishes were excellent, and especially good - the potato dauphine and the strawberry soufflé. Oh, and the very good bread and butter! That something so simple can be so well done just shows what a tip top kitchen is at work!

Would have given them 6 stars if I could. Don’t tell Mo but he’s alright and the Chef is outstanding! We have a couple of favourites but almost always dine from the seasonal specials. As a result, no mater how often we go, we always have an exciting and new dining experience.

Dropped into Apero for a pre-dinner drink, it's a great place to do this! the staff were friendly and very knowledgeable regarding the wines we ordered. We were also given a complimentary snack which was a nice touch. Will come back to sample the food next time. A great way to start an evening out.

Probably the best food on K-Road. Grate decore. Superb flavours. Very friendly and down-to-earth service, but definitely not cheap... HAHA The only thing I can't understand , and this is a problem with many establishments in NZ - THERE IS No AC - Air conditioning. It is very hard to enjoy such amazing dishes, and they are, when you're too hot. Something to take under consideration before you book on a hot day...

We had a great experience here with the cocktails and service. Our group of 20+ came in for a Friday afternoon booking and casual drinks with mixed seating/standing and everything ran smoothly (we stayed for hours). We were served mainly by Luke who was incredibly friendly, taking orders and payment, bringing out the orders, keeping everything tidy etc. While we mostly stuck to drinks, we did share some fries, jalapeño poppers, and fried chicken which were all great to nibble on. Stress free experience for a corporate leaving-do and would definitely come back again.

Came in early and was allowed to sit down and relax before ordering, beautiful assortment of drinks available and the food was lovely. Food is priced very well and the location is just perfect. Our server was very welcoming and tended to our needs. Food came out pretty quickly and was lovely and warm. Definitely worth coming back !

What a night at Parasol & Swing! The cocktails were next-level—creative, delicious, and beautifully crafted. The vibe was on point with a great crowd and an incredible live DJ who kept the energy high all night. We had a fantastic time sipping on their signature drinks and then dancing it all off. Such a fun, classy spot for a night out in the Viaduct. Can’t wait to go back! The crew was awesome.

Nice cocktails – really well made and enjoyable. The food was good too, though portions were on the smaller side. It’s more of a place for drinks than a full meal. It did get quite noisy when a large group came in, so it’s not the best spot for a quiet catch-up.

This Fish Market is a nice place if you like seafood. You can eat many things like fish and chips, prawns, oysters, and sushi. The food is fresh and tasty. The place is clean and not too busy. You can sit inside or outside. It’s a good spot to relax, eat, and talk with friends or family. The workers are friendly and helpful. There is also a shop where you can buy fresh fish to cook at home. The prices are okay – not too cheap, but the food is good. Parking can be a little hard, but the visit is still worth it. If you like seafood, you should try this place…….

Awesome fish market. Well set out. Grat that you can buy fresh fillets from Sanford and sons fishmongers and get them grilled for you at the fish market grill. They have something for everyone really. Great atmosphere. Lunch on a Thursday wasn't overly busy. Great service. I think it's better than Sydney fish markets.

The Auckland Fish Market is just a 15-minute walk from the harbor area, and my hotel concierge recommended visiting. It’s down a street that’s behind the main waterfront restaurants and bars. The market itself was much smaller than I expected. There’s only one vendor selling raw fish, while the others offered items like oysters and mussels, bagels, and sushi rolls (no fresh sashimi). There’s a small dining area with tables and chairs. My partner and I shared a bucket of mussels in tomato sauce ($15 NZD). The sauce was flavorful, but the mussels were a bit rubbery. On the plus side, the market has free Wi-Fi and public restrooms. There’s also a wholesale fish auction in the mornings for bulk buyers. Overall, compared to other waterfront fish markets I’ve visited in Europe or Asia, this one is small and underwhelming. I wouldn’t recommend visiting unless you’re already in the harbor area.

The place has been renovated since we last visited years and years ago. It definitely looks more clean and modern now. A few different vendors and there is also another food stall market area on the waterside just 1-2 mins away. A great place to come and grab lunch and have a stroll afterwards.

The outside service counter has a pretty straightforward menu and you order at the counter, sit at a table with a number and they bring the food. It's not fancy, but the fish is absolutely delicious and if you have a chance and at least one other person, I highly recommend the whole grilled red snapper. It is amazing. They cooked it to perfection. Just enough so that it was cooked through, but still tender, flaky, and juicy through and the seasonings were perfect. Topped with a few fresh aromatics, it was amazing to just eat through. The flesh on the bones is always more succulent, and the skin was crisp. Excellent with a side of fries and a salad and we had more than enough for dinner for two. Loved this so much and it was so fresh.

I’m happy that I come for breakfast before heading home. Recommend to come with few friends as they have interesting menu so you can share to try more from the menu. I’m happy with my Turkish egg. I love eggs and yogurt but never think that Turkish eggs, whipped garlic yogurt, chilli butter is a good combination but it works. It serve with a slice of sourdough. Recommend to share by two, I finish it by myself tho. My boyfriend ordered Smoked Salmon, soft boiled egg with yuzu hummus. The salmon taste so good and the whole plate is nicely presented. Last but not least the cheese scones is their signature too. Very crispy outside and butterfly soft inside. Delicious, I asked for strawberry jam too. There are smoothies and fancy drinks menu that I can’t try it all. But I’ll definitely come again next time to try more from the breakfast menu, brunch and dinner.

A spacious restaurant located next to the waterfront with a stunning view. It has a spacious and bright indoor seating space as well as a lovely courtyard. Friendly staff and quick service. Food was excellent, amazing flavours. My favourites were the lamb ribs, paua ciabatta, and the blue cheese beetroot.

Whether it is sitting outside, watching the sailboats in the blue sky and white clouds, or the spacious interior decorated with Cozy, it is visually quite comfortable. There was a girl who served very well and was very considerate. My wife likes their coffee very much, it tastes great. I love honey ginger tea, this is the real honey ginger tea. The fish of the day was Blue Cod and the fish was handled very well. The combination of greens and a prawn wonton was interesting, and there were a few slices of porcini in the soup (probably). Food handling is mixed. The restaurant has cooking classes. There are also a lot of ingredients and cooking ware for sale. Parking is limited and there is a 60-minute limit at noon.

Homeland is such a lovely, calming space. It’s one of those restaurants that is quiet enough to hear your friends talk but lively enough to feel like you’re part of something exciting, with that low hum of other conversations going on around you. The ambience is perfect and the staff so friendly. I was also impressed by the wealth of delicious & unique cocktails (including a mango lassi one & a kimchi Bloody Mary!) and the wide variety of vegetarian & vegan options. Everything pictured is vegetarian & some of it vegan! And I love how many Aotearoa / NZ specific ingredients (like kawakawa) are utilized so beautifully. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone :)

Amazing coffee and cheese scone! would recommend booking in advance as on weekend they can get very busy, lucky to get a table without booking the other day. had salmon dish and creamed paua, the price is def higher for the portion you get but the quality and taste makes up for it. and the coffee is def the best in Auckland imo, I would come back even just for a cup of coffee and cheese scone. They are also pet friendly, so easy to take your dog walking around marina afterwards

Beautiful ambience, quite a relaxed yet modern atmosphere, dishes are beautifully curated, carefully outsourced by local produce providers and ethically thought through when put together as a dish. I love the idea behind how the components of each dish come together and homeland imparts a nostalgic message to remind us the journey our food takes before being served for us. The mains we picked were good, did remind me of standard cafe style brunch food done well but not wowed. The dishes were slightly on the smaller end, but still a joy to eat and it meant a clear plate. Highlight of our picks was the corn ribs-that really hit different, well seasoned, lip smackingly good, I’m grateful the staff suggested it. Oh not to mention their in house baked focaccia is really good, got me into a whole focaccia phase and I just can’t seem to replicate it, I dream of eating more focaccia.

Homeland is a restaurant, cooking school and provide that specialises in local New Zealand ingredients. They work with their suppliers to ensure quality produce and the food was amazing. Everything was delicious and we got to try some New Zealand specialties. The only downfall was that they didn't let us know that the kitchen was closing so we didn't get to try everything that we wanted! Inventive cocktails too.

Ham & cheese croissant is great! Staffs are very nice and efficient! Enjoy having light breakfast here!

The service was excellent. Coffee was pretty solid, however, I was a bit disappointed. Iced long black with an extra shot of espresso didn’t really taste THAT strong. The beans tasted like a light roast. It was also pretty small in the cafe area.

Almond croissant was good sweet level, crispy pastry, average price and delicious! Weekday is a bit busy as some workers around there are getting coffee from here! Staff weren’t extreme

Hands down, the best croissants I have tried in Auckland. They bake them in house, I could see the trays coming out of the oven. I'm pretty sure I tried all of their croissants, rolls, cheese sticks and other delicacies. My favourite one is black truffle. And their take on Vienna coffee is called Mont Blanc is also deserving a try. The staff is really cordial too. Perfect place for visiting on a rainy winter day.

Music blasting so loud into Little High Street I couldn't hear myself think and had to shout my order, total sensory overload and currently just the same 5 Xmas songs on endless repeat. Coffee was otherwise decent, I don't understand why they feel the need to blast their music so loud, please turn it down for a better customer experience. Nobody is looking for a club at 10am on an average weekday morning!

I saw Khu Khu posted on their instagram about a $9 late night bites. I knew I must go as this is great value for money and there has been a few items on the menu I’ve been wanting to try and haven’t got around to it yet. I got the pineapple cocktail, satay tofu bao bun, dumplings and fried rice. All the food was BEAUTIFUL, taste and look wise! My only complaint is that the satay tofu bao bun was very messy to eat but delicious nonetheless. I don’t like mushrooms that much but ordered the dumplings anyways and no regrets at all, salty and perfectly cooked. I will be back for another late night bites! The restaurant was pretty busy so I decided to sit outside and asked if they could turn the heater on which the waiter had no hesitation to do so, lovely staff, great atmosphere. There sweet and sour chicken is my go-to so was nice to try some new dishes from them!

The front staff person was nothing short of phenomenal! Despite being the only one attending to all the customers, he managed everything with incredible grace and efficiency. His warm demeanor, spot-on menu recommendations, and genuine care made our dining experience truly memorable. He checked in at just the right moments, handled every request with a smile, and his passion for the dishes shone through. Single-handedly creating such a welcoming atmosphere for everyone deserves the highest praise!

The food was tasty, but the service could use some improvement. I ordered a glass of Prosecco, which unfortunately was completely flat with no bubbles. When I mentioned it to the waiter, I was told that all the Prosecco was like that and that there was no more available. We dined on a Saturday evening around 6pm. I’d like to offer two suggestions: 1. It would be great to provide some training for staff on basic hospitality knowledge — Prosecco should always be sparkling and shouldn’t be served once it’s gone flat. 2. Please ensure there’s enough stock of basic drinks, especially on busy weekend evenings. Overall, the food was enjoyable, and I hope these comments can help improve the dining experience in the future.

First time trying Java and it was definitely worth the trip. The flavours are packed with punches but the portion is just the right size. We went for dinner but I'm sure the lunch options are just as good or even better. Can't wait to go again :)

Real Indonesian food is available across Aotearoa New Zealand. The taste is typical of a high-standard restaurant in Indonesia. I’ve been homesick for months and these foods solved my problem🙂‍↔️ For Kiwi: The Iga Penyet (beef-based meal) will be best for you. Their beef rendang is the real taste of Indonesian beef rendang. They are not spicy, but you can add sambal (spicy paste) separately. If you are a vegetarian or vegan, there are an abundance of options for you! Don't forget to try Martabak for dessert. PS: These foods could be a remedy for your weekend hangover 🤭 ssssoooo tasty!

I had the laksa for dinner which was ok. The flavour of the laksa soup was good. Price to portion was average. With no additional toppings, the $20 laksa included an egg, slightly undercooked noodles, and beansprouts. The place has nice decor with some neon lights at night. Need to go up to the counter to order.

We came to Java in a group of six people for our Christmas team lunch. The restaurant is nicely decorated with Indonesian/Java theme and we were served by friendly staff. The dishes were all very tasty and packed full of amazing spices that created the authentic Indonesian flavours. We all really enjoyed the food. This restaurant has a lot to offer - what more can you ask for? 👍

Dropped in for the $10 lunch. It was simple, but very tasty and exceptional value - rice, omelet, choice of a vegetable dish. Really good value for money. I don't know many places where you can feed yourself for $10 for lunch. Cute interior design. Lots of space for groups of all sizes and people dining alone. A bunch of people turned up after us, so looks popular. The menu looks great, will come back another time to try it.

Amazing Indonesian food, the sambal was spicy but soooo good. I tried the jackfruit curry, sambal potatoes, Tofu & jasmine rice. Quick service, good portions, very affordable. Must try the $10 lunch meal deal, Tuesday to Friday 12pm - 3pm. Should definitely try! Highly recommended!

I’m a regular here for my pecan butterscotch tub and I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed with Duck Island. I’ve encountered this situation twice where there’s literally no butterscotch at all in the tub. Please be generous with the butterscotch! I really didn’t expect a butterscotch ice cream without butterscotch! Please take note. Hopefully, Duck Island will do something about it. Thank you.

There is only an outdoor seating area. It serves the classic flavours as well as some interest exotic flavours. The ice cream have creamy stretchy textures and are quite sweet.

Came on a Friday evening, didn’t have to wait before getting served. There’s a large variety of flavours and sample tasting is available (metal spoon , environmentally friendly) - we tried the one scoop on cone (see photo for size), I like that you could choose 1-2 flavours. Seatings available outside/ outdoors.

One of the best ice creams you can have here. The flavours are awesome. Different than what you would get at other similar ice cream parlours. The best is the ice cream sandwich. Must try. There is outdoor seating area and it is great to sit outside with a cone in winters. The staff is helpful and courteous. We reached close to the closing time but they served is with smile on their face. Of street Parking is available but you will have to find it.

Great range of flavours, and you can get tasters before buying. The ability to buy a single scoop ice cream with two different flavoured half-scoops is fantastic - very generous with the ice cream, would definitely recommend a visit.

I have never had a bad flavour nor experience at Duck Island. The atmosphere is good, the service is friendly yet efficient. My go to flavours are Salted Caramel Cacao Crumb, Mango Passionfruit Sorbet, Apple Pie Custard (this is a winter flavour unfortunately), and Blood Orange Sorbet. My (suprisingly good) go to combo is Salted Caramel Cacao Crumb and Mango Passionfruit Sorbet :)

Food was good - the chicken in particular. Service was very friendly and attentive but there were just not enough people to handle the number of patrons.

I recently went to Nanny’s eatery with my sister and had an amazing meal. We ordered the 1/2 jerk chicken with fries and mac and cheese. This was the best interaction I have ever had with staff at a restaurant. The chef was really funny and we loved talking to him. Thank you so much for the food.

Updated review, June 2023: As someone who has visited Jamaica for 3 months, I can tell you that the food here is impeccable and can rival the food you eat in Jamaica. The Jerk has a nice, softer texture and the Goat Curry is really well flavoured. The sides are great. Worth the money. The vibe is good too, with the Jamaican reggae playing in the restaurant. JP is funny and the rest of the staff are all good too Fantastic taste of Jamaica, before going there! Texture was spot on, I could really taste the grilled flavor and the meat was juicy! Sauce tasted good as well! Shared much similarity in taste to Peking Duck, but is more smoky and easier to eat!

Super friendly and really good food! Oxtail tastes just like the Caribbean takeaway shops back in London. Mac n cheese super creamy and delicious. Fries crunchy and well seasoned. Spicy jerk chicken was juicy and smoky. Popcorn chicken was crispy and flavourful (tasted kinda like Korean fried chicken) and banana dessert was unexpectedly a warm, crisp crepe with melted chocolate and banana inside. Yum!! So so good, will definitely be back

Booked in at Nanny’s for Mother’s Day dinner. Smooth and easy process. Arrived to friendly smiles and got us seated with a high chair for our son. Complimentary drink for Mother’s Day was a nice touch, we ordered the half jerk chicken with fries and slaw and the Rasta pasta and added beef (a must! the beef was so delicious) as well as the pasta! Good things take time so grab a drink and enjoy your company while you wait for your meal to come out! Def recommended :) thanks team! P.s the cocktails are amazing too

Trust the Chef menu at Atelier was such a great surprise. There was a good amount of food and the portions were not slim either. Food was pretty delish and well presented as well. Interior of the restaurant is quite chic with a service to match it. Was definitely one of the most value for money multi course meal that I’ve had. Atelier definitely sits high on my to visit again list.

i tend to always have one thing or two to pick on restaurants, but i have actually nothing when it comes to atelier. the atmosphere is an immediate 10 out of 10, and the service was well above average among the restaurants with a similar price range. we had the venison, bone marrow and roasted pumpkin and butternut. every dish is packed with flavours but i'd rate the venison number one. pistachio spritz was chic and unique and it was just the right amount of quiet on a sunday night.

Nice and cozy place for drinks and catch ups. Staff were nice and accommodating to our dietary requirements. Food was okay tho, nothing much I can say. Overall, good experience.

Sorry mum is the best night out. Food at Atelier is always spectacular. The tartare is the best. DJs last night had the dance floor lit! I look forward to next time and hope to catch @amandamania7 at their next gig.

Great evening - Laurent Perrier Champagne tasting and food pairing. Food was tasty, well presented and the champagnes choices paired well with the food. Server was friendly & knowledgeable. We were seated in a booth and it was easy to talk. Was a bit surprised at the switch out of LP champagnes to Veuve and Billie Cart. I had received an updated menu the previous day which indicated some switches due to seasonal availability. When we arrived, the server explained that the switch out of the champagnes was as the selected LP champagnes weren't available in NZ. Bit surprised as when the menu & pairings were put together, surely there would have been a check in with the supplier/s? Would have appreciated earlier notice of the switch and the opportunity to cancel our booking or to select a different event.

When my son was still using a pram, I found it difficult to dine here because prams weren’t allowed inside. Now that he no longer needs one, I decided to visit again today. I noticed a family with a small baby in a pram, which I found really heartwarming. However, it turns out that prams are still not allowed inside. I also recall handing the manager some child-friendly tableware small plates, a spoon, and a fork so that younger children could eat more easily. Unfortunately, I didn’t see them being used at all. It makes me wonder why this restaurant isn’t more accommodating to families with small children. That being said, the ramen was absolutely delicious, and despite coming on such a busy day, every staff member remained calm, professional, and efficient. I really appreciated that. However, looking around, I noticed there were no families with small children dining here. Given how spacious the restaurant is, I can’t help but wonder what’s the issue? It would be wonderful if families could enjoy a meal together in this beautifully decorated, Japanese-style space. If Japanese restaurants in Japan also make it difficult for families with young children to dine, perhaps it’s a cultural difference. But this is New Zealand, and I encourage you to reconsider your approach to making your restaurant more welcoming for families!

Personal opinion: Average food, overly salty. But good for a quick meal. The karaage chicken were huge pieces of chicken, and really spicy.

Had the ramen with katsu chicken. The ramen was creamy and had a good taste of the broth but not as flavoury as I thought it would be. The chicken itself was perfect but, just from my personal experience it tasted a lot like cinnamon and didn’t match at all with the ramen and was not an expected taste. Good portion and fair price !

They offers a delightful dining experience. The warm and inviting ambiance, a good spot to have a family lunch or dinner. The staffs were friendly and very attentive. The ramen broth tasted so good and worth coming back for. They also serves vegetarian meals which also tasted good. This is a must visit ramen place in Auckland.

Generous portions and delicious ramen at affordable prices. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the toppings were fresh. Good atmosphere, definitely a spot worth coming back to!

My partner and I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for a long time. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the lighting was lovely, and the service was great! We began with the starters: The tomato soup was fantastic, with a delicious tanginess that really stood out. The bread and butter were also very enjoyable, and the fries were crispy and satisfying. The halloumi dish, in particular, was overwhelmingly sour, it felt like it hadn’t been tasted before leaving the kitchen. It was sour on sour with only a touch of honey, which wasn’t enough to balance it out. The Brussels sprouts were also underwhelming, bland, and paired with an imbalanced amount of stracciatella, leaving them dry and uninteresting. Dessert was okay but not memorable. The feijoa element was very sour, though the Earl Grey flavour and custard was a nice touch. The dishes leaned far too heavily into sour flavours, and there wasn’t enough contrast or balance to make them work. While the flavour combinations sounded creative and exciting, the execution fell short and balance of flavours was off. Edit: I understand it’s a small business and care is taken to provide a good experience. I see there are plenty of other great reviews, this was just our experience and honest reviews are what helps me and others find the restaurants they love.

This is the second time we’ve gone to eat at Forest, and we’re definitely going to come back many more times. We recommend this place to everyone. Their creativity with flavor combinations constantly surprises us. . We’re always trying out new places to eat and this is one of our favorites—not just because of the exquisite dishes, but also because of the professionalism from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. Eating there makes us happy Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in New Zealand.

This was like a trip to an art gallery. We are tricky customers as my wife has dementia and generally dislikes anything in restaurants. We had two Dishes: bread rolls as a starter and a kumara dish with a marmite sauce. Cost was $48. My wife ate most of one of the rolls and basically dipped out of the other dish. The rolls were delicious with the wine butter. The other dish was very tasty and looked absolutely incredible with onion flowers to decorate. I was a little bit peckish at the end and bought a couple of sushi things at the Japanese place next door to fill myself up. I couldn’t honestly say that I totally loved the second dish. It had delicious elements, but there was something that didn’t quite work for me, Not quite sure how to be articulate about it. It certainly wasn’t a lack of flavour!I did enjoy the Experience and found the staff really friendly. Wishing them all the best!

Perfect experience. Every single element on every dish was so well thought out. So much thought and hard work has gone into everything and it shows. I know the kumara dish is highly rated but it really is crazy good and I don’t even like kumara. The sweet and salty pops of pea to capers on top. It’s so perfect. The service was so friendly and they made us feel super comfortable. Keen to go back for the mandarin martini and a dessert in the bar next time as I was too full!

This was a beautiful cozy spot I stumbled across when trying to find somewhere I hadn’t been to in Auckland. It’s vegetarian but has a great range of food options and looks like the menu changes regularly. Service was friendly and for the quality its pricing is on par with many other establishments in Auckland. All round a quality spot I would go to again.

Beautifully crafted menu from top to bottom! The Earl Grey Whiskey Sour was an absolute treat as well! Waitress did an excellent job explaining the menu and helping with gluten and dairy free options, whilst also staying on top of service. Quaint and cute atmosphere, really fun little spot!

Booked to come here for a birthday dinner with friends and we were absolutely blown away. Been wanting to come here for a long time and glad we were finally able to. The team went above and beyond for us when they had to cancel our original booking giving us a discount when we rebooked. Even put a candle in our dessert! Felt like family. Highly recommend. The food was to die for. All vegetarian, perfection.

I love the concept and aesthetic of this place. We actually went twice in the same day. The first time, I asked for something inspired by a White Russian—nothing too specific, as I wanted to give the bartender some creative freedom. Unfortunately, I was served a classic White Russian without any special twist, which was a bit disappointing considering the price. To be fair, half of the menu wasn’t available either. It wasn’t a terrible experience, just underwhelming. A couple of hours later, we decided to come back and this time we sat at the bar. We had the chance to speak directly with one of the bartenders, Lock 🔒💕, and the experience completely changed. He listened carefully to what we were looking for and absolutely nailed it—delivering not only a delicious cocktail but a truly enjoyable moment as well. Watching him work was fun, engaging, and—honestly—a little sexy, which kind of fits the whole vibe of the place. 😂 I’ll definitely be back!

10/10 experience. Service was amazing, she grabbed our preferences and perfectly executed drinks to our liking. There was one drink I wanted to try that she recommended with ginger, but didn’t end up liking it too much. Server immediately picked up on it and gave me another drink free, and it was one of the best drinks that suited my palate EVER!

This underground cocktail bar is a great choice for anyone wanting to enjoy a night out with friends while escaping the loud and chaotic vibes of a regular pub or bar. Everything about Caretaker feels carefully considered. The venue is styled to evoke the charm of a traditional tavern, and the staff do a great job of walking you through their process. Even if it’s your first time, you can rest assured you’ll have a wonderful experience. Choosing every aspect of your drink, from the spirits to the flavour profiles, is fun, and there’s still an element of surprise as each creation is tailored to you by the mixologists. Well worth a visit and always a good time. As the name suggests, they truly take care of you.

Focused on dessert options. Food (and decor) presentation was visually enticing but I felt a lack of flavour "explosion" with most of the morsels on the tasting plate I chose. The espresso was good, even at the late evening we arrived.

Who knew one of the best cocktail bars in the world could be hidden in a subterranean speakeasy in Auckland’s CBD? Caretaker takes some finding, and that’s part of its charm. The service was the best I’ve encountered anywhere, the knowledge behind the bar was astonishing, and the mixology was flawless. My drinking companion and I discovered at least three new staples that will now hasten our journey to the grave, and for that we’re sincerely grateful. A standout winner in every sense.

Such a rad little bar! Be prepared to have a drink made for you, such a cool idea. Cocktails were around $20ish dollars each so it would definitely add up quickly but so worth it! Awesome staff and a fun place to visit!

Love the ice cream here. Had the peanut butter and passionfruit flavors. Cappuccino was nice and strong with the Right amount hot milk.

One of the best pistachio ice cream I’ve ever had. You can really tell it’s made with real pistachios. Simply delicious! And the staff is very friendly!

Located in a convenient ferry terminal area, this place offers an interesting range of flavors and has friendly staff. There is nothing particularly special when compared to competitors, nor are there significant faults, making it rather average overall. It's something you might want to try without setting high expectations.

Went in to buy some gelato for but ended up leaving with nothing. Waiting in line to be served but it seems lines don’t matter as when we are receiving samples other customers came barging in to order. I was about to crash out but lucky my girlfriend pulled us out. Workers didn’t seem to have a care in the world.

The staff's attitude was utterly dreadful. They kept glaring at us with such hostility, and when we tried to make a purchase, they were downright rude. Even after I'd paid, they practically shoved me out the door. The two shop assistants were a fair-haired woman and another with two pigtails. In the end, I even caught the pigtailed one swearing at the other and giving us this disgusting look. Don't bother going there – it's bloody sucks

3 scoops are a very generous portion. Delicious 😋 Island Gelato is one of my favourite ice cream place in Auckland! It will not close until very late. I like walking here after dinner for desserts 🍨. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I think they always have new flavours!!! My current favourite is pistachio!!!

This is an establishment on K Rd. And there is a reason for that. Their prices are reasonable. The food is tasty with generous portions. Most of all the staff are super nice and helpful!

Great cafe/bar in Auckland CBD! I had the Salmon Toast, which was really good! Nice mix of high quality ingredients, similar to Salmon Carpaccio but on toast. A little horseradish in the side would have been a nice addition but it was still very Yum! 🤤. Coffee is also top-notch!

The staff here were very accommodating. The chef prepared Broccoli bites even though it's usually a dinner thing. The waiter gave me a fork when needed. And the Broccoli bites were so good!

Verona is an absolute K Rd institution. Hasn't changed in years and hopefully won't. Open till late with DJ playing most nights. Good range of beers, wines and cocktails. Excellent coffee. Food is unexceptional but always there when you need it (probably the only place I go where they'll open the kitchen on request after it's closed). Super friendly staff and everyone is welcome.

This place oozes charm, like stepping into your nana’s lounge if she also made a killer flat white. Quaint, cozy, and brimming with character (and probably a few good stories in the walls). The coffee comes out generous and delicious, just how mornings should be. And the eggs Benedict? Absolute textbook bene. Hollandaise that hugs, eggs that ooze, basically breakfast doing what breakfast was born to do. This place won't disapoint.

As we discovered today, Verona is also a perfect place to have brunch. We love the vibe, sitting by the street people watching over a coffee. Food was really delicious and mouth watering. We would definitely come back. Eggs benedict were super and mushrooms on toast scrumptious! Overall, Verona is really awesome and has great staff.
