We had Ramen for lunch. When we arrived we were greeted by staff and they were absolutely lovely and very accommodating and polite throughout the whole time we were there. We ordered a creamy based ramen and a chicken base ramen. Both of these were yummy, not the best we’ve had but still a very delicious lunch dish. The noodles were very delicious and so was the pork although we found some slices of the pork were a little dry and chewy. We also ordered some dumplings which were average, the filling was quite mushy but it did have flavour and the dumpling pastry and the way it was cooked was on point.

The ramen here were competent but I have definitely had better broths elsewhere. The portions are generous though and service was friendly.

A friend recommended this place as she had been before, so i decided to check it out, and I’m glad we did! The ramen that i had was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The food was super filling and a god portion size. The service was quick, the staff were friendly, plus the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back!

I was so happy to find delicious ramen in Auckland made by a Japanese owner. As someone from Japan who loves authentic Japanese ramen, I was really excited to enjoy such great ramen here in New Zealand. The staff are also Japanese and kindly spoke to us in Japanese, which made me feel even more at home. I went with my vegetarian friend this time, and I was impressed that they even had vegetarian ramen and a wide variety of menu options. I’ll definitely stop by again next time I go to the CBD🍜🩵

The veggie ramen ( +a little spicy) were fabulos and one of the best I ever had (may be because I didn't have any for quite some time 🥲) my partner had the sesame shoyu ramen and the gyoza and she was also really happy (especially baout the housemade gyoza)!! I've been here multiple times and have never been disappointed. It's a humble establishment that focuses on one thing: making great ramen! For the price, it's absolutely worth it. The broth is sublime, and the portions are generous. They’re also very generous with the toppings. Definitely a solid choice for dinner if you're in the area! It's also a safe bet if you're dining with picky eaters—there's something comforting and satisfying about a well-made bowl of ramen. The staff are great, and service is quick. Wait times aren’t too bad—worth it anyway!

We were passing by Balmoral and wanted to get a quick dinner. Sholin Kungfu is a must try place, they have a lot to offer in their menu and the food is delicious. We loved the Kungfu chicken dumplings, hot 🥵 and sichuan pepper adds to the flavor and sensations. I would be visiting often to try all items on the menu, specially the steamed boas (buns) 😋

We've been coming here for quite a while now, and while it's not perfect, it consistently delivers on what matters most: delicious, handmade noodles that hit the spot every time. This is a 回族 (Hui ethnic group) restaurant, which means it follows Halal dietary practices. So, don’t expect to find pork on the menu, and you cannot bring your own food – something to keep in mind if you're dining with a group that has mixed preferences. The menu itself is unchanging, which can be a good or bad thing depending on what you're after. For us, it’s comforting to know exactly what we’re getting, and the dishes we love are always available. The noodles are the star of the show – fresh, chewy, and full of flavour. Whether it’s the beef noodle soup or the dry noodle dishes, the quality is consistently high. You can even see the chefs working in the open kitchen, which is located right inside the restaurant. It’s fascinating to watch them stretch and pull the dough by hand – a real showcase of skill and tradition. That said, there are a few areas where the restaurant could improve. The tables and chairs are often oily, which detracts from the otherwise authentic and casual vibe. It’s not a dealbreaker, but a bit more attention to cleanliness would go a long way. I tried their seafood handmade noodles. Delicious and chewy. The large portion is good even for two persons who are not super hungry. I also tried their kumara and taro balls. I loved them. They are good as dessert. Prices are reasonable and they have 2 floors so they can accommodate even a big group upstairs. Service was also quick and you need to pay when you order.

Delicious hand pulled noodles! Tried the cleaver sliced beef noodles and it was YUM. Meat was soft and tender. The lady in store was always all smiles and made every effort to welcome every customer that walked in and thanked upon leaving.

The spicy and sour potatoes are so flavourful. Halal sign outside. Pretty authentic fried rice. Very fast service.

A good little place to have your meal. The seating is limited. The menu is quite extensive with both rice and noodle selections. There is also a special menu for daily specials. The service was alright as I think the staff couldn't understand us well and lacked of recommendation. The dishes were served fast and the portion was huge.

We tried beef noodles which were quite nice but also had lots of fat attached as per another review here. They serve hot tea for free which is quite nice prior to a meal. We also tried dumplings which were quite bland and not the best dumplings but not the worst and with the Chilli and vinegar sauce it was yum. I'd recommend trying it and seeing if it's up your alley for food

Came here on a cold winter night—nothing is better than a spicy beef noodle soup! The noodles are tender and served in a surprisingly large portion. The soup is super flavorful, a bit too sweet for my taste but combined with the chili oil, it’s incredibly satisfying. The lady at the counter is very friendly and even asked if I needed extra noodles. The atmosphere is cozy and clean. Overall, a 10/10 experience.

Wow! - my 2nd visit in a week to this hidden gem just a few blocks from the flashier waterfront/Britomart tourist beaten path. Each bowl of noodles hand-pulled to order in front of you, with that toothsome texture that can't be replicated by anything less fresh. Can highly recommend the A1 (classic beef broth with cilantro), A5 (minced pork) & A6 (perfectly grilled lamb skewers) - hope to be back on a future visit to try the rest of the menu! Nothing wrong with multi-hatted favorites such as Ahi, Onslow, Hello Beasty, Cocoro, Origine, Amano, et al., but places like King Made or Catch & Crisps give you that personal contact with the chef/owners that makes for special memories...

Seriously good experience here. We were staying in Auckland Harbour Suites, arrived late, rental car issues, etc., etc......Just wanted something to go swimmingly, and this place was it. Literally 2 minutes walk from our room, we found this fantastic little place and gorged on their delights. We ordered simply, as the menu dictates - the basic beef noodle soup (A1 on the perfectly-sized menu) and an order of pork dumplings (A8), washed down with beer. During our minimal wait (and during our rather longer period of consumption) we watched 'King of the Noodles' in the kitchen making the noodles, starting with a blob of dough and progressively pulling, spinning, repeat, until they were the desired thickness. Honestly, the skill....entertainment while eating - just amazing. The staff were great. Front of house was perfect - smiles, English, happy to see you, how can we help. In the shadows, the one who knows all (except smiles and English). No matter, without asking, she produced scissors to cut down the meat slices and noodles, so a good team effort. Was it the best bowl of noodle soup I've ever eaten? Look, I've eaten a lot of such soup bowls: happy, sad, hungry, ravenous, cold and sweating and these were up there. Further, the dumplings were divine - we had pork (fried not steamed) and the spring onion and ginger made them simply delicious. This place is understated; it should sell itself more. Their tables should be full, the noodle king should need an assistant. Make it happen people! Eat noodle soup here!

Had the braised beef noodles. 10/10 very very huge portion chilli oil optional extra on the table good touch for spice lovers such as myself. Had heaps of fresh spring onion coriander decent tender portions of beef noodles very good. Location of chopsticks and utensils and napkins not that easily displayed. But other than that would come back.

I popped in here for an easy lunch. I tried their vegetarian Pickled Cabbage Noodles and two sides —Tofu Skins and Shredded Seaweed. Everything was very delicious and really classic. The Pickled Cabbage Noodles are an acquired taste and were a little strong for me but I loved the texture of the noodles and ate as much as I could and took some home to nibble at later. I really want to got back here to try their Egg & Tomato Noodles. The hand pulled noodles themselves are sensational. GO TRY! Lots of meat options that looked delicious.

We were craving Chinese food one day and we came here to try their beef noodle soup, though I got their special pork minced noodles instead. I would say their noodles tasted average but the portion was huge. Though food was served quick and the staff were polite to us. The place was clean as well.

However, I was really looking forward to enjoying the dumplings at home, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. As I unpacked them, I discovered a hair in the food. This was quite off-putting and definitely affected my appetite. I hope the restaurant can improve their food preparation hygiene. During our visit, two waitresses were speaking very loudly, creating a disruptive environment. Their conversation sounded like a heated argument, which significantly detracted from the tranquility one expects in a dining establishment. Furthermore, a notable inconvenience was the complete absence of a toilet facility within the restaurant, which is a significant oversight for any public establishment serving food. While the quality of the food was commendable, the negative aspects of the service and the lack of essential amenities made for a less than ideal experience.

Eden Noodles is a popular Chinese cheap eats restaurant in Auckland. They serve a variety of Chinese food, with a focus on Sichuan cuisine. I ordered Spicy beef with potato on rice ($15.5). Water & Napkins + Water is self service. + Napkins is on the table. Food - 8/10 + Actually I’ve tried this place twice. First time I ordered Wonton in chicken soup, it was delicious. Second time I ordered Spicy beef with potato on rice, the portion is good, big chunk of meat. The problem is the rice, too mushy and gooey. Flavour is fine, not my favourite. Service - 9/10 + As long as no one interrupts me eating and nothing unhappy happens. That’s already a 9. Good job. Overall I will give this restaurant 5 stars. 🤓👍

I finally checked out this place again.! Let's talk about their Dandan Noodles, because that's where it's at for me. The portion sizes are just very accommodating, they've got S, M, L, and XL. Now being Asian, my brain automatically goes for the M, and trust me it's a perfect satisfying amount. The L? You're gonna be stuffed, like Thanksgiving dinner stuffed. And the XL? Oh boy, that's gotta be the size they feed the All Blacks after a big game! Now listen up spicy lovers! If you're thinking about going for the mild or even the medium spicy, just... don't. Seriously. I went for the medium and it was like a gentle whisper of spicy. If you want that real kick, go straight for the spicy! Trust me on this one. The place itself is pretty popular so be prepared for it to be crowded. It gets quite packed which is a good sign, right? They're definitely kid-friendly and have some highchairs around, so toddlers are good to go. But if you've got a little baby, it might be a bit hectic with the crowds. The staff is super friendly, they move like ninjas! The whole place looked clean when I came, which is a big thumbs up in my book. So yes, Eden Noodles is one of my fav especially that Dandan noodle? chef's kiss....

Eden Noodle serves tasty, comforting noodles with rich and satisfying flavors. You can choose the level of spiciness, type of noodles, and portion size—the spicier it is, the more oil it has. Great spot for a quick and satisfying meal.

It had been awhile since I had ordered from here but ordered dinner from here recently and I went back three times to order dinner to takeaway. I ordered the cucumber salad (#73), wonton soup (#84) and corned beef Chinese burger (#9). All of it was delicious and I'd highly recommend drizzling the chilli sauce from the salad onto the corned beef in the burger if you order it. Great flavour as the burger is quite dry without some sort of sauce. You could even stuff some of the salad in it too or just eat it together. I've ordered #8 in the past but it was just a bit too fiery for me and should have a two chilli rating rather than one chilli. Staff are nice.

Xi Ann Food Bar is a cozy, small shop that punches well above its weight. They make their own noodles from scratch, which truly elevates the dish. We highly recommend trying their cumin lamb noodles—they’re delicious, packed with flavor, and the portions are huge, easily enough to share between two people. The unique, fresh quality of the homemade noodles and the well-balanced seasoning make for a memorable dining experience. One noodle cost about 15$.

My favourite place in the whole of Auckland for noodles. Don’t underestimate this small shop tucked away in the corner. The cumin lamb noodles are the best - flavour is spot on, noodles are nice and chewy and portion size is perfect. Always find myself coming back every couple months.

AMAZING food! We got the cucumber salad, the veggie hand-pulled noodles and the hand-pulled noodles with pork and it was soooo delicious! The portions were very good and the staff very nice :-) We would definitly recommend!

There’s really nothing fancy about Xi’an but there’s a lot that’s special about it. You go there for the hand pulled noodle soup and it doesn’t matter which one you choose, it’ll be good. If you like authentic food that’s full of flavour and of amazing value, then this is the place. Xi’an is an institution that will outlast any fancy restaurant out there. Would I like a beer with my food, yea I would but also, I’m glad I don’t get to have one - healthier you know. My pork noodle soup was everything I wanted it to be, warming and perfectly seasoned, it was a simple dish so it was nice to add a little pickled garlic to it, that tastes like Chinese medicine and not garlic at all - super unique flavour, not spicy, not even garlicky. I always get pickled cucumber, every place does them differently and I love all of them, crunchy, fresh, spicy, saucy yum!

Their hand-pulled noodles have a good texture. Flavours are fine too. But the meat portions are ridiculously insufficient, even for the extra large sizes.

I'd say that I'm surprised by this place! Firstly, the portions are huge compared to the price I'm paying (my pinky for comparison). The meat is extremely tender, noodles are perfectly bouncy, and soup is flavourful! As an Asian guy, I strongly approve this place!

HAINAESE CHICKEN - Recommended dish. The Hainaese chicken was my favourite dish here. Warm chicken, served with bean sprout and a nice soy based sauce. Also with a serve of a peri-peri like, lime sauce. Also the prawn noodle soup was delicious. Large portions and generous amounts of large prawns. If you like the taste of prawn, I would highly recommend! It was fully packed of people, which is a good sign! Service was good and the food came out quick. Recommend this place for delicious Malaysian food in Auckland!

This place can get busy, and they do not take reservations, but they will try their quickest to get you a table as soon as one is ready - if this isn't a reflection of how good the food is! Each dish is tasty and flavourful, and comes out super quickly. Laska bowls are huge and full of noodles, chicken is soft and tender, and curry combos are yummy, with delicious accompaniment sides. Self serve hot tea is yummy.

The staple of Newmarket restaurants. Came here with an old mate for dinner, lucky we arrived quite early, the place filled soon after. Had the classic laksa with chicken thigh, deliciously tender chicken and the laksa soup is always on point. Thank you for the good quality food through out the years!

The laksa was really delicious — the soup base was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were nice and chewy. I definitely have to go back again.

I hadn’t been to the restaurant in a while and they have new wooden tables and chairs which look great and lift the ambience and dining experience. I tried the hainan chicken with rice; chicken was silky, moist and tender and a good portion (unfortunately portion size in Westfield food court is small). The char kiew tow and egg tofu were also good. Tried beef brisket laksa; the broth had depth and was very flavourful, some pieces of the brisket were a bit tough and chewy.

Very fair price, ramen was excellent, self order machine allows you not need to talk to staff members. Quiet and peaceful place to enjoy great ramen, with very good portion. Small place so if you have 3 or more people you may need to book in advance, as they only have 2 big tables. Highly recommend to try.

Spicy Miso Ramen — 4.5/5 The thick miso-based pork broth has a hint of spiciness. The noodles are slightly chewy and well-cooked. The minced meat, bean sprouts, and smashed sesame seeds add a refreshing touch to the broth. The BBQ pork has a slight smoky flavor, which I really like, while the pork belly is not too soft but rather chewy. What surprised me the most was the marinated egg—the yolk is runny, and the seasoning has a soy sauce and sweet taste. It was so delicious that I ordered an extra egg. Vegetable Gyoza (Veggie Dumplings) — 3/5 Averagely good vegetable dumplings.

Had been hearing a lot of good things about Sneaky Snacky so went ahead and ordered both their trademark donut burgers. Hot Chicken Donut Burger (Original Spicy, Non-glazed): The chicken thigh was delicious, super juicy and very spicy. Really appreciate that they are generous with the portion of chicken! The donuts were soft and fluffy, I think I might just prefer them over regular buns. The dill mayo and gherkins were a great addition. I have a high tolerance of spice, but the heat of that Nashville fried chicken can be a bit overpowering. I'd definitely recommend going for glazed buns to cut through some of that heat if you're ordering medium spicy or hotter. Original Donut Burger (Glazed): The best part about this burger was the glazed donut. Very unique and I'm glad it exists. The rest of the burger was just about okay. The beef patties were lacking some flavor and the kimchi fritter didn't really work for me. Could do with a better sauce to add some kick. Size of the burger was adequate.

Heard a lot about this food, unfortunately me and my two friends were very disappointed, overall we had both the chicken and beef versions of the donut burger, should we have known better than to purchase this yes, however excited at the idea we were disappointed to see that the execution was not there, incredibly messy, flavours were not really enjoyable, very wet, and overall a bit gross. Don’t recommend if you have any survival instincts.

Sneaky Snacky Review – Mouth-Watering Experience! Omg where do I even begin?! Me and my husband decided to try out Sneaky Snacky, and honestly, it was a flavour explosion. We started with the Hot Chicken Wings—perfectly cooked, juicy, and served hot with pickles in the mix. Mmmm, yum! Every bite was better than the last. I ordered their famous Crispy Fried Chicken Burger, and WOW. The sweet and savoury combo was next level—the glazed buns were soft and addictive, and the hot chips on the side? Crispy, golden perfection. I literally rolled my eyes back with every bite thinking, “How yum is this sht?!”* 😂 We also shared two sides: • Pork & Prawn Dumplings – juicy, fresh, and full of flavour • Takoyaki (Octopus Balls) – my favourite! Hot, soft inside, crispy outside, just divine! Every single dish was chef’s kiss. The service was lovely too—friendly staff and food cooked to absolute perfection. Only downside? It’s a bit far from where we live, or I’d be back weekly! But trust me, we’ll definitely be back—count on it. (P.S. We had salmon and rice from another store too—but Sneaky Snacky was the real star 💫)

Did a takeaway, just an all around good donut burger. The sour pickle cuts through the sweetness of the glazed donut bread, the chicken batter is crispy, meat is so full, juicy, and lean. The spice is a good kick, while the rich mayo with dill just brings the whole burger together. Tried the impossible patty as well but definitely go for the original chicken burger. One of the things I’ll miss about NZ honestly🥹

Awesome place to get burger donuts, and all of their snacks are tasty too! We never thought that glazed donut would go well with hot chicken and beef patty. The combination between savory and sweet flavor is really great. Ordering is simple and fast, no biggie. Will definitely come back!

Amazing kai - the chicken ramen bowl was super tasty, I could have just had a bowl of the broth it was so flavoursome! Really generous portion sizes, had to take the rest home in a takeaway container. Friendly and fast service, highly recommend this spot if you're in the area!

My husband and I eat here at least once a month. Chop Chop is always consistent. The food is amazing, the service is great and we’ve never had any issues! Highly recommend trying it if you haven’t already. In my opinion, it’s the best place to eat in Auckland :).

The brisket ramen was good! Delicious broth and the beef was slow braised and melted in your mouth. The crab bao was really average tho, had no flavour in the salad or any sauce so it was pretty meh. Needs work.

wow. This is my ‘go to’ for a Ramen, but I’m doing it a disservice as there are so many other excellent options. My fav is Pork Ramen, but today tried the Eggplant tempura. Who doesn’t love deep fried food!

Not a place for me - both beef brisket and cobra kai super mega ramen were so so. The corn fritter gave me a mouthful of flour-ish feeling, didn't bother to finish it. The only good thing was the dishes came fairly quick and in good temperature. Never again.

Just wow!!!! Fantastic style of seating surrounding the kitchen. Comfortable stools that have sufficient space to spread out a bit. Great menu of food and lots of drink choices. This store offers Chinese-style western style adapted noodles and dumplings. I visited it with my partner to try something different this evening. The area for picking up chopsticks and spoons was impressive, well-arranged to maximize hygiene. The tables were also very clean. We ordered biang biang spicy noodles, new tomato ragu noodles, and dumpling soup. The flavours were generally light and weak, possibly because we chose dishes with fewer sauces, but the portions were generous. The noodles were hand-made and chewy, a bit clumped together. Overall, it was an average experience.

Spicy beef tripes noodles was authentic and flavorful but on salty side. Tripes very tender, noodles chewy in a good way. Staff was friendly, made my order less spicy per request, thank you.

There’s nothing that I love more than an easy lunch that’s quick and affordable. My friend recommended that I try Biang Biang City, and I was impressed! They were very quick to make the order (we ordered online at 1:00 pm and everything was ready to pick up in ~ 15 minutes). Even before you take a first bite, the food smells incredible. I was pleased at how savoury the soup was, and how nicely cooked the vegetables, noodles, and pork were. The pork burger (not sure what it’s called) had such lovely pastry and the pork was tender and juicy. This might be my new go-to place for lunch. Try it out!

Biang Biang is one of the cutest spots in Auckland. Beautiful and colourful interiors and a lovely staff who were super helpful. The food sizes were great! Super filling. There were plenty of self service sauces to enhance the flavours. I did feel flavours were on a lighter side in my dish but overall a great experience 👍

had their biang biang noodles with BigPlate Chicken, basically just handmade noodles inside their spicy chilli oil based with chicken, but that was so good! Big portion, I thought I wouldn’t finish it but it’s too nice, I don’t wanna waste them. (But it could be really spicy for people not usually eat chilli). $17.8 for a big bowl of handmade noodles with chicken, I think could be the cheapest dish you can found in CBD.

They have option for both Hot and Cold Noodle. They serve amazing Biang Biang Noodle with good portion size. Decor is good too. It is located on Level 1 from Queen Street and you can take an escalator. It’s on the same level if you go from Lorne Street. They close way too early around 7:30pm. Ensure that you reach before 6:45pm.

We really enjoyed our Noodle Adventure Trip in Xi’an, China, so when we heard there’s a newly opened Xi’an noodle restaurant in Auckland CBD, we were so excited and can’t wait to have a try. . 👍𝗕𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗴𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗲 This appetizing bowl of noddle was prepared with great care and attention to detail: tomato and egg sauce and pork mince sauce were presented well on the top. Once mixed both sauces with noodle, we can’t wait to take the first try! Fresh tomato was not overly sour and the pork mince was seasoned well. The wide noodle is chewy but still space to improve. It’s really convenient for people who work or study in the CBD who want to grab a hot chewy noodle with great topping. . We definitely will come back and try other different noodles!

We looked for restaurant for light lunch after walking beside the harbour side, this restaurant rates the highest among. We picked sashimi & lamb and asked if portion are fine with 2 people, staff recommended prawn toast which I forgot to take picture😫 it’s crispy and tasty too! Highly recommend this restaurant!

The Asian fusion menu was so delicious. They were good at catering to dietaries and even had sake and soju on the menu. We had a great work dinner out and would definitely come back in the future. I liked the location on the harbour too.

Came here for my boyfriend’s birthday meal. We were served by Lizzie who was so friendly and helpful. We didn’t know what to order, so we got the $95 discovery menu. They just kept bringing food out, and everything was delicious! The highlight was the lamb shoulder with a delicious rich sauce, steamed rice & broccoli. The desert of the crème brûlée cheesecake was amazing also. Really enjoyable evening. The music is quite lively & loud, if you want a quiet, intimate dinner then this is not the venue for you

Such a great dining experience. Buzzing. But not too loud. Impeccable service, thank you Georgia. All the staff were knowledgable and helpful. Food was next level. Prawn and crab toast, sashimi - amazingly fresh. Pork belly, crispy and so flavoursome. Slow cooked carrots were just delicious. Drinks menu extensive and well suited. Deserts - I cannot rate them more highly. Very busy. As they should be - book in advance. It was our last night in NZ and a brilliant end to a truly great epicurean tour of the north island. Thank you so much.

A good example of Asian fusion cuisine. Overall, everything was good. Nothing particularly bad, but also nothing especially memorable. The staff were attentive and professional, just as you'd expect at a fine restaurant. However, the atmosphere felt more like a pub during busy hours. Distracting due to noise from guests, the kitchen, and loud background music, making it hard to hold a proper conversation.

Had such a good meal when I ate here during my vacation! I haven't had a week since without thinking about it! The staff was kind, prices were reasonable, the location is perfect, nothing bad to say; I will come back to New Zealand, and visit Hello Beasty again for sure!

Georgina was a lovely host. The food does take a while to come out but it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was flavorful and juicy, the cheesecake had just the right amount of sweetness without being overly sugary and the dumplings with the sauce.... it hit the spot. I like that some items can be reduced in size to accommodate a person who is eating by themselves.

If you’re after a cheap eat in central Ponsonby that is satisfying, nutritious and delicious, as well as good value then look no further. About $25/ meal and it was massive. They also cater for celiac using rice noodles.

Staff are amazing very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and well prepared. Not the best Raman ive have in Auckland but I would definitely still come back to dine again as the space ans team.are so nice. Atmosphere is great. Just the tables are so close together it kinda takes away from it a little and the two women next to us decided to air there drama and have a little domestic while my pregnant wife and I tried to enjoy a nice meal together. But I totally get why the tables are like that because its a small popular place and I would do thr same if I was the owner. Thanks team ar Takara you should all be proud of your efforts.

Good ramen with rich flavour and perfectly cooked noodles. Simple, satisfying, and hits the spot every time. Friendly service and a cosy atmosphere make it a great spot for a comforting meal.

It is decently cheap for a bowl of ramen. It is on the less salty side, perfect for a Japanese palate, otherwise you can always adjust it by adding more soy sauce. It is decent enough for a quick yummy Tonkotsu Ramen, tho I think the Karaage is a bit overpriced.

If ramen is what you’re craving this one hits the spot. The seasonal tomato ramen filled my winter singed heart with joy. I’ve been here a bunch and can attest to most of the menu and say - I’d have that again. Depending on the night you either get table service or a QR code - personally I’m not a fan of the QR ordering as I quite like the experience of conversing and asking questions when needed but overall it’s still a really nice atmosphere. Bomb food, ace sake, the cocktails looked on form.

FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! I’m not a spice person but Eden Noodles was an exception. The spicy noodles and dumplings were 10/10! Very flavoursome, hot and spicy with great portions and a perfect comfort food. The cafe itself is very small and confined, so I recommend ordering to go if you’re in larger groups. Suitable for 2-4 people per table. Our food came out in about 15mins which was good considering how packed the cafe was. Will definitely be back.

The most delicious dumplings I’ve ever had! My go-to is the sweet and spicy — absolutely perfect. Ordering online was quick and easy, and the location is super convenient with plenty of parking nearby.

It is a very small cramped restaurant, but the food was phenomenal. We did order quite a lot of food and everything was great. We saw they were making their own wontons.

Very hot and stuffy inside. Suggest you get takeaways. Food is good, watch for the extra costs for extra ingredients. Could improve the English version of some of the descriptors on the menu. Found it amusing they have "Sad green bean jelly in hot Chilli sauce". Menu item A5 And for dessert you can have K2 "Happy yum jelly with sweet sauce".

The taste is actually Hyped. A below average street food taste. The thin noodles are also thick. Dry noodles are not absolutely dry. Don’t go with a lot of expectations.

I have ordered food delivery from Eden Noodles multiple times and have always found it to be delicious, which motivated me to visit the restaurant in person. It is a very small establishment with only a few tables, and you need to order and pay at the counter. As always, the food was tasty and spicy, staying true to traditional flavors. However, I noticed that there were no vegetables in my noodles at all. When I asked if it would be possible to add some leafy greens, I was charged extra for a small portion of salad leaves. They also informed me that if I wanted vegetables in my meal, I should notify them in advance. I don’t understand this policy, as in China and at other Chinese restaurants I have visited, meals usually include some vegetables for a balanced nutrition. I suggest that you consider adding vegetables to each dish for the nutritional benefit of your customers. Thank you!

Amazing food.. Went for Dan dan noodles and pork dumplings in sweet and spicy sauce.. Authentic and tasty.. Less than $30 for both dishes.. Just be careful which spice level you choose.. Medium is hot.... But bearable with a coke... Not a large shop, has limited seating but pple each quick and its short wait for a table.

busy place even on sunday. food are more than authentic. they always surprise u when your dish coming. love the coconut or sweet curry flavor duck. never tried dis kind of duck before, and it just blew my mind. lemongrass chicken salad is also suprising. Pho just the basic vietnamese dish which u can figure out the level of authentic.

We have eaten at Viet Kitchen many times, which serves great, authentic Saigon food. The menu has plenty to choose from. The lemongrass chicken Vietnamese Baguette is a yummy delicious starter to share but one can also finish it as a main 😜. Pho is a must have and a dish that never disappoint. The chilli hit and flavoursome herbs are delightful. Relaxing atmosphere and friendly service. Will definitely return again. Thank you.

The place was easy to find and had a ramp for accessibility (I was on crutches at the time). The service we got from our big family was accommodating and helped us be comfortable in our stay. We ordered mainly the dishes on rice so it was easiest to pick what everyone wanted. The pork chops on rice was marinaded well and served up in big portions to match the price. My only concern is that some of the side dishes were too overpriced for the amount you actually get, if that can be looked into I think it would be a great for value! All in all the experience was good and would come back to taste the other meals. Keep it up team! Please review some of the prices on the menu :) remember we are still on dominion road not viaduct hehe.

Authentic French Vietnamese experience ! Stunning taste , great range of menu options , lovely cocktails. Limited vegan options ..Papaya salad is excellent. Plenty of seating inside and outside.

Great cheap eats/ authentic Vietnamese. My favourite dish is pho. They have mix of both brisket and raw beef. The broth is thick and flavoursome. The staff are very friendly too. They take orders for takeaway and wait time is usually 10-15min.

Worst Vietnamese restaurant in Auckland New Zealand. Over priced, Beyond rude, dismissive and arrogant managerial behavior, smallest portion ever and not very good taste with too much MSG. Kept falling asleep on the drive back home at 3:00 pm. Fresh roll's iceberg lettuce was not fresh and old. Only 2 pieces for $9.50. Basic Pho Bo (beef noodle soup) is $18.60 and portion is small, uses very cunning bowl where it looks very large but is far too shallow and without much noodles inside. Also charge 2% extra for Credit Card payment. without proper calculation or listing of specific prices of items ordered Would not recommend to anyone trying Vietnamese food to go here

Amazing food. I went with my meat eating husband and he really enjoyed all the food too! I've heard good things about this place but never tried it before. I'm glad we finally did! We'll be back for sure

The interior design was lovely and the food was delicious. As a big eater the portions were also decent. I'll have to go back to try the other menu options as there was just too much that sounded good. Sucker for a good asian dessert, lovely subtle flavours.

East is definitely one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Auckland. The space is modern and stylish, and the beautifully presented dishes match the vibe perfectly. Every plate was bursting with bold Asian flavors - absolutely delicious. We honestly didn’t miss the meat. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but fair enough given it’s a hotel restaurant. Highly recommended if one is looking for a healthy & flavorful meal.

The food here is phenomenal and even without first table, amazing value for money. The bao buns and Malaysian curry are definitely highlights of the menu - even the edamame were seasoned perfectly!

The eggplant is so delish! So were the pineapple cups, the spring onion pancakes and the som tam papaya salad (if you like it spicy).

When my son was still using a pram, I found it difficult to dine here because prams weren’t allowed inside. Now that he no longer needs one, I decided to visit again today. I noticed a family with a small baby in a pram, which I found really heartwarming. However, it turns out that prams are still not allowed inside. I also recall handing the manager some child-friendly tableware small plates, a spoon, and a fork so that younger children could eat more easily. Unfortunately, I didn’t see them being used at all. It makes me wonder why this restaurant isn’t more accommodating to families with small children. That being said, the ramen was absolutely delicious, and despite coming on such a busy day, every staff member remained calm, professional, and efficient. I really appreciated that. However, looking around, I noticed there were no families with small children dining here. Given how spacious the restaurant is, I can’t help but wonder what’s the issue? It would be wonderful if families could enjoy a meal together in this beautifully decorated, Japanese-style space. If Japanese restaurants in Japan also make it difficult for families with young children to dine, perhaps it’s a cultural difference. But this is New Zealand, and I encourage you to reconsider your approach to making your restaurant more welcoming for families!

Personal opinion: Average food, overly salty. But good for a quick meal. The karaage chicken were huge pieces of chicken, and really spicy.

Had the ramen with katsu chicken. The ramen was creamy and had a good taste of the broth but not as flavoury as I thought it would be. The chicken itself was perfect but, just from my personal experience it tasted a lot like cinnamon and didn’t match at all with the ramen and was not an expected taste. Good portion and fair price !

They offers a delightful dining experience. The warm and inviting ambiance, a good spot to have a family lunch or dinner. The staffs were friendly and very attentive. The ramen broth tasted so good and worth coming back for. They also serves vegetarian meals which also tasted good. This is a must visit ramen place in Auckland.

Came here for my birthday lunch, and ordered the Tonkotsu chashu ramen and it was delicious! Really good broth and really good noodles. The kitchen staff also kindly gave me a free okonomiyaki for my birthday! Will definitely come back again. Also that egg is 11/10 🥚

The ramen isn’t salty, and the noodles are nice. However, the pork slices are a bit tough—possibly overcooked. We also ordered a snack, but it wasn’t great; it tasted like frozen food that had just been air-fried. I’d recommend sticking to the ramen and skipping the snacks. Service was great.

The fried chicken was genuinely good, but I felt compelled to leave a review due to the long wait time — nearly 30 minutes for our full order to arrive. We made a point of ordering quickly, knowing how busy this place can get. However, we were served last, despite having ordered well before two other tables nearby. It’s hard to ignore the feeling that our table was not given the same priority — and unfortunately, I can’t help but wonder if that had something to do with the fact that we’re brown. Because of that experience, I won’t be returning.

I’m staying locally and after a bit of research saw there were excellent noodles & dumplings close by. And they were excellent! Delicious lamb noodle soup & braised pork noodle soup, pan fried dumplings and a stunning cumin spiced pancake. I was with my two young boys and they finished their bowls! The service was sweet & prompt with complimentary tea, and the restaurant very clean and tidy. Highly recommended.

Perhaps my most favorite meal during out trip to New Zealand, so good we had to make a special drive back before our flight home to eat here again. The Yang Rou Pao Mo is delicious comfort food, the hand pulled noodles are fantastic. All the sides - wonderful. The folks who run the restaurant - delightful. It's not very often I run into restaurants specializing in Xi'an or Shaanxi style foods, so this one was a wonderful surprise to happen across in Auckland. Thanks for the wonderful dinners!

Hands down the best Wonton Chicken noodle soup I have ever tasted. My Family dined here along with the kids. The service went beyond any expectations accomodating to our child that was picky. I would recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely be returning to try other dishes on the menu. Thank you for the wonderful food.

My overall experience was top notch. From the smell alone you know you're going to have the most amazing meal. It did not disappoint. This has to be the best Asian food I've had in Auckland.

Another Saturday lunch date with my son at our favourite Japanese restaurant in Dominion Road. As authentic as can be, the Japanese chef has been there since our first (of many) visit years ago. Got the chef special this time, and hot noodles, plus Asahi beer. Great food, taste hasn't changed, yum. Always full of patrons. Dining area a bit small but still, a great experience.

2/5 stars. The udon soup was BLAND, noodles were tough, and if you want more soy sauce or salt it costs $2 and $1. I got the lunch special for $23, and is pretty much vegetarian. Overall very bland, service wasn't that great but the atmosphere is nice. Would not come back..

A small place that has wonderful service and great food. We went on a Saturday in June 2025 just as it opened and the place filled quickly. The food was as good as the last time we went. It is reasonably priced.

A cosy little restaurant. Although the name suggests it is an Udon restaurant, it also serves don (rice bowls) and sashimi. Udon is nice and chewy. Sashimi is fresh, though sizes are relatively small. Tempura is crispy and not oily.

Very authentic Japanese udon restaurant. Our food was presented beautifully and the udon was chewy but not too firm, the broth had a simple but clean flavour, and the portions were quite big. The tempura were made fresh, and the inside was still very hot. I’m not sure if they do bookings but it looked like people just walked in. It did get quite busy at lunchtime on the Saturday. The staff were really polite. The restaurant space was a bit small, and the bathroom was through the back, and there was only one stall. But it was very clean. Overall very happy with the dining experience, would recommend.

Flaming noodles - need I say more. You might have to wait a minute to get into this uber popular udon spot but it’s worth it! Cosy environment, friendly staff, insanely delicious noodles, broths and big jugs of beer.

Checked out this place for the first time, really nice noodles and flavourful broth. If you like spicy go for medium spice or above because you get warned if you choose medium 😁😁 it really is spicy!! There are different noodle choices too. Good service and plenty of small group seating.

Probably one of the best spicy noodles I’ve ever had. Noodles were cooked to perfection, with just the right level of chewiness, the soup flavor was the perfect level of spiciness and taste (not like the ones tailored to local tastebuds). The beef were so tender with the right amount of fattiness which melts in your mouth. The dumplings were also really good. The minced pork was seasoned well and tastes amazing! I would definitely come back here again if I’m in Auckland. Highly recommended!

I had the chicken mince with flat noodles for $16.00. I asked for hot which is one level below the extra hot. Very good, spicy but not overpowering. Spice stuck to the noodles which was nice.

My noodle carving led me to a small, decent restaurant where each table boasted a tissue box—a surprise compared to typical eateries. I ordered the spicy pig intestine noodles 🍜, relishing the delicious flavor of the meat. However, choosing kumara noodles proved a mistake; they were chewy and challenging to swallow—a novel but regrettable option. Opting for a medium spice level turned out too spicy 😂 for my taste, and I wished for more pig intestine in the dish, though not a complaint. Priced at around $18, it was worth the taste 😍. Next up were the spicy chicken dumplings with a medium spice level— a show-stealer with a delightful sweetness between bites. Despite the small size costing $7, it offered a decent portion. In love with the dumplings, I couldn't resist ordering another medium-sized serving for takeaway at $15, which included 15 pieces. Despite opting for a lite spice level, my 5 and a half-year-old found it too spicy, yet she enjoyed it. Impressed, I plan to visit again and explore the diverse menu ❤️. The tissue paper on my table dwindled due to the spicy food—clearly placed for a reason 😅🤣.

So the waitress told me I couldn’t handle hot. I said I could - she was right and I was almost crying. So much so, the people next to me were having a good laugh. Great food, heaps of flavour and thoroughly enjoyed. Service was great too - very welcoming. So cheap for the amount of food you get. A must try place.

Had a lot of high expectations as it was so hyped on social media and through word of mouth.. but left slightly unsatisfied. The Dan Dan noodles were lacking in flavour and the mince was hard like biting into pebbles. The dumplings in spicy sauce was super good. Cucumber was nice as well. I would say the overall flavour here is more spicy and clean (less oily) compared to their competitor Eden noodles. However I still prefer Eden noodles as they are more flavourful. We got rice noodle and kumara noodle option, I recommend kumara noodles as it’s thick and chewy. Will definitely come back to try different dishes until we find one we love.

Food is really good. Highly recommend the dumplings in the chilli & pepper soup. Warning, food is a lot spicier here. Normally would go for a medium, but that ended up feeling like a hot/extra hot. If you like things hot but not to the point of sweating a lot, stick to the mild.

Came here for dinner and we did not enjoy it. Their side dishes taste so bland and bad, the ingredient they use are cheap too. Seafood stew was tasteless and seafood were so small pieces and little. Their famous pork hock was good but portion was small, bibimbap taste not bad too. Sizzling spicy pork was very normal. Food: 🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑 Price: 🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑 Ambience: 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑 Service: 🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑 I like their pork hock but since I can find somewhere that serve better food and side dishes, i don’t think I will come back here again.

Saw this place and keen to try new places that offer Korean dishes. Staff were helpful and lovely to see the covid sign in and large photos to help decide. Couldn't actually read it properly due to low lighting. Possibly trying to save electricity. They had limited dishes and should have ordered the smaller dishes. We ordered the $49 Banban Jok Bal: half Spicy grilled pork hock mixed with a combination of chili and soy sauce and half Sliced pork hock boiled with soy sauce, fruite and vegetables. Added cheese for $4. I asked for rice but they said no. It looked like a large serving, despite being medium serving, and husband was happy. We had ordered to takeaway under lockdown. To our surprise when warming up at home on a separate plate we found 4 large bones which propped the meat up. Not happy we paid for bones as well. We will give this place a 2nd chance after lockdown so we can experience the good food advertised and praised in reviews. For now, we're offering a 2/5 for an average dish that looked as advertised except for the 4 massive bones.

The flavour of food is average, nothing exciting. Disappointed because no side dishes were served. This is the first korean restaurant we visited in Auckland that doesn't serve with side dishes. Chicken fried noodles we ordered is salty.

It was amazing experience of having Korean food with soju😍. Location is very good and ambience was also cool. I liked the way they have used empty soju bottales for decoration and lighting. On other hand, food was also amazing. I had chicken fried noodles and kimchi fried rice. Both the dishes were amazing. Highly recommend.

We really enjoy the food here. Staff was friendly and the place clean. They do have several options that we will be back to try in some point. Dish presentation was pretty and flavor was good! I only give then 4 stars because the food took quite a long time to arrive.

Good place for a small group. They check Vaccine Passes which is good. Good price for good amount of food. Really good service, you press the buzzer when you need to order. Toilets are good and clean 👍 Pork Sizzler is nice but not filling for the bigger eaters. Bacon hock is good for sharing. Will go back to experience other dishes :)

Quite disappointing. Recommended by friends but overhyped and the food quality compared to a lot of other korean restaurants is quite poor. Price is average for its place, assuming there main priority for business is drinking. Tteobokki not as expected. Bunch of random stuff thrown on, a whole half onion just sitting there. Cold when it came, shouldnt be under the assumption that we were supposed to use the gas burner to heat up what should be ready to eat food. Kimchi fried rice was good, but the rest was really disappointing. Contrasted.

We loved our experience at Gochu. The waitress was so friendly and when asked if we had allergies she was incredibly accomodating positive about it all. Honestly my best experience in NZ allergies wise from a restaurant. Although it was a set menu, a few things were changed to accomodate us. The food looked beautiful and tasted fabulous. We were all saying how we never would have tried this place if it wasn't for first table and now we will tell everyone how good it is. Thanks so much we all enjoyed our experience!

Absolutely incredible service both Lily and Cheryl looked after us for the evening and they were excellent. We did the $55 menu and it was DELICIOUS!! The dumplings at the start were a highlight for us, would recommend 100%

Great location!! Staff was helpful and friendly. This js Korean fusion so don’t expect authenticity. Fried chicken the sauce is a bit sweet to me, not spicy enough. XO noodle was not bad, creamy and flavorful with a nice tangy touch of pickled daikon. Their signature milk bun was nice but I would not say it’s exceptional, I still recommend you to try though. My least favorite dish was the pork ssam, the rolls were filled with rice and barely any pork, pickled cabbage kind of overpowered other flavors and it’s $7 each…. Surprisingly the super star was oysters, they’re super fresh, kimchi juice was spot on and only to elevate the creaminess of the oysters. I would suggest this place for groups so you can try different dishes altogether.

This place is awesome! I always have a meal here when I come to Auckland. It's located inside Commercial Bay in the city. The Milk Bun is definitely a must. I also recommend their Crispy Eggplant and Fried Chicken. You won't be disappointed. I would visit everytime just for those 3 dishes alone!

Impeccable food, absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back! Highlights for me were the mandu (dumpling), eggplant and salmon. Highly recomend! Service staff were friendly and pleasant.

If you're after a quick satisfying meal, this is the place to be. Although there weren't enough meat but the noodles were really nice. The place was quite busy but their service was still fast. All in all, I would consider it as very succulent chinese meal in dominion road (photo says it all) 😊

Very bad experience, ordered stretched noodles and it wasn’t even cooked properly. It was semi raw and very hard to digest it. It was literally semi raw noodles with chili oil and nothing else.

This restaurant is a great place for affordable and varied Chinese dishes, especially noodles. My partner and I had dinner here, and we followed other diners' advice to try the cucumber salad, the hand-pulled noodle with cumin lamb (No. 87), and the hand-pulled noodle with Xi'an style braised pork (No. 37). All tables had QR codes for making orders. After completing the order, the bell at the counter rang. Then a staff member kindly asked me to pay the bill for the orders. This was interesting and convenient. The noodles were cheap at $15 range, and the portion was generous. Handmade and served cold, the noodles varied in size and length, creating a good mix of textures and flavours when combined with the sauces and spices. The cucumber salad was the perfect complement to the rich, slightly oily noodles. We left satisfied without spending much. The simple decor of the place meant our photos didn't turn out great, but if you are after delicious, handcrafted Chinese noodles at a good price, this is the spot to go.

Great place for quick, cheap eats. You can order individually but we got a couple of dishes to share. We ordered the lamb cumin noodles, dumplings in sour sauce and the seaweed salad and this was plenty for two. All our dishes were quite spicy so next time we'll order more variation. Will be back!

Lamb noodles meat was very chewy, taste wise was ok. Pork dumplings were also decent but the quality of the meat was lacking. Good price for amount of food as the cucumbers were quite cheap and well made.

Food was pretty yuck. Dumplings were really doughy and thick. We had spicy lamb noodle - really oily and just alot of chilli thrown in. Wonton soup here also salty. No taste to their food..either super salty or super spicy. No effort whatsoever from the kitchen. Do not recommend

I had such a great experience here. The food was beautifully presented, and the portions were just right. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. We went with the set menu and enjoyed every single dish. The flavors were authentic but they would have a dish to suit everyone's palette. I'd say a great intro to Korean cuisine without losing its roots. I highly recommend the plum wine cocktails! Light, refreshing, and the perfect complement to the meal. I’d definitely come back for that alone.

I took my partner for a birthday dinner and we had the vegetarian set menu. We had an amazing time, the staff is super friendly and attentive. Every dish had a fabulous presentation and it was delicious. The cocktails were outstanding.

Super delicious food ! It’s like a hipster Korean restaurant, cooking familiar Korean dish with style. Portions are a bit bigger than tapas , I would say 4 appetizers and 1 main was just enough between 2 people. Recommended the noodle salad, chicken skin, zucchini chips and spicy rice cakes !

The sweet and sour pork taste was to my liking. Not very sweet but could use a tiny bit of salt. The texture was very good, crunchy with light batter. The Jjamppong was not overly spicy, and the texture of the noodles was soft and chewy. Very good service and atmosphere.

The best Korean noodles~ Chicken tangsuyuk and Kkanpunggi are so great! Some reviews mention long waits and perceived poor service at this Korean restaurant. From what I saw I feel it's because that the restaurant’s small size and single chef contribute to slower service during busy times. I don't think delays are due to indifference or unfair treatment; it’s about managing a high volume of orders with limited resources. Additionally, some dishes cook faster than others, which might seem like later customers are served first, but it’s more about the cooking time. And I don't think Jajangmyeon here is pre-made. You can simply hear and smell the sauce is well prepared from a wok. The restaurant’s approach to service may differ from Western expectations, partly due to language barriers and cultural differences. For Koreans, speaking the same language naturally facilitates more cordial communication, especially since many are regulars. East Asians may indeed appear somewhat reserved in front of non-co-ethnics, and interpreting this as differential treatment might be a misunderstanding. While there’s room for improvement in service, the decision not to hire fluent English-speaking staff could be due to cost considerations and the customer base. And I'm not even a Korean. I use english to order as well. During peak hours, surely it takes more time.

Since it’s just the two of them running the restaurant, service can be a bit slow when it’s busy—but trust me, it’s worth the wait. A little trick: order the same dishes as your group for a faster serving time. My friend and I always do this, and it works perfectly! If you're a fan of jjampong or just love bold, comforting flavours, this is a must-visit spot! Highly recommended!

We had the seafood jia jangmyeon and also the prawn fried rice. The noodles was not bad, but I really like how they cooked the fried rice. Slightly moist but the flavour is good and mixes well with the black bean sauce on the side. The spicy soup that came with the rice is so very good. One thing I think they are lacking at this place is maybe pork cutlet option, or even 2 people combo meal with some korean fried chicken on the side with ordering 2 noodles. Their menu is simple, but the food taste good like home cooking. Overall not bad.

We’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time and this was the 4th attempt. Previous times it was closed. I’m not Korean so can’t judge much about authenticity. I imagine that the dishes were like what a normal Korean family dishes so it is very popular. Tastes ok. 3 stars because the wait time was very long more than 40 mins for 3 dishes, and everyone else waited the same length. At least the wait time was consistent.

Delicious korean chinese food but the waiting time is about 25 mins for the food to be served. And the place is not suitable for a big group bigger 12 people. The food price is in the medium bracket. Please expect to wait for upto 10mins for a table to be availabe during lunch.

Clean and nice Korean-Chinese restaurant on Dominion Rd. A bit of a wait for the food even though the place was empty, but the food was worth it. Jajangmyeon (black bean sauce noodles) and sweet and sour pork were both yum and huge portion. The texture of the noodles is to die for!

This noodle shop is fantastic! My friends and I come here often. The environment is great, very clean and spacious, with comfortable seating. The prices are also very reasonable. The spicy beef noodles have a rich broth and perfect noodles. The minced meat with peanuts and the dumplings in chili sauce are also delicious. Highly recommended!

First time trying this place. I had the chicken fried noodles (1st picture) while my friend went for the rice noodles with pickled pepper ginger duck soup (2nd picture). Both were alright however the duck chunks were few only. And drinking water wasn't serve to us. Overall, it was an average dinner meal and reasonably priced. It was a bit weird because this restaurant looks nice and decent but very few customers on a Saturday evening.

I had the ginger duck noodles and they were excellent. The duck was tender, the noodles had a great texture, and the broth was rich with a nice kick of ginger. Really tasty and authentic—will come back again!

I ordered for uber eats I ordered Kadhai Paneer and roti, but I was extremely disappointed with what I received. There were only 3-4 small pieces of paneer, and the rest was just 200-250g of onions. This was the most disappointing Kadhai Paneer I have ever had. It felt like a complete waste of money. Definitely not ordering from here again!"😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 I recently ordered Kadhai Paneer and roti from this restaurant, expecting a flavorful and well-prepared dish. However, my experience was nothing short of disappointing. When I opened the container, I was shocked to see that the dish contained only 3-4 small pieces of paneer, while the rest was overloaded with onions—around 200-250 grams of them! This was not what I expected when ordering Kadhai Paneer, which is supposed to have a good balance of paneer, bell peppers, and a rich, spicy gravy. The dish lacked proper ingredients and felt more like an onion stir-fry than an actual Kadhai Paneer. The quality and taste were equally underwhelming. Instead of a flavorful, well-seasoned curry, all I could taste was onions and a thin, unappetizing gravy. It was evident that the restaurant had tried to cut corners by reducing the paneer quantity and replacing it with excessive onions, which is unacceptable for a dish that is supposed to be centered around paneer. This experience left me feeling like I had completely wasted my money. When you order from a restaurant, you expect decent quality and quantity, especially when it comes to a popular dish like Kadhai Paneer. If I wanted a plate full of onions, I wouldn’t have paid for a paneer dish! The portion size of the paneer was so disappointing that it barely made a meal. It felt like a clear case of cost-cutting at the expense of customer satisfaction. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a good North Indian meal. If this is how they serve their food, I can’t imagine how other dishes would turn out. I sincerely hope the restaurant takes customer feedback seriously and improves its food quality. Until then, I will be avoiding this place and suggesting others do the same. Overall, this was the worst Kadhai Paneer I have ever had, and I regret ordering from here. Save your money and order from a restaurant that values both quality and customer satisfaction 😡😡😡😡😡😡

Worst experience ever. I ordered Paneer Makhani and naan from Uber Eats, and it was incredibly disappointing. The Paneer Makhani was basically just tomato sauce, cream, and sugar no real spices or flavour. Honestly, it tasted more like a dessert than a proper Indian dish. It’s a shame that this restaurant is damaging the legacy of authentic Indian cuisine. I don’t even feel it deserves one star.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent order. I found a hair in the chicken tikka masala curry, which is a serious health and safety concern. Additionally, the vegetables in the curry were completely raw, and the rice was stale and served at an unacceptable temperature. This level of negligence is unacceptable and shows a clear lack of quality control. I expect much higher standards, especially when it comes to food safety and hygiene.

I ordered biryani from Uber Eats, but it was extremely dry and had too much food coloring and dry mint. It looked and tasted terrible. I feel like I wasted my money.

I ordered chicken curry from Taste of India via Uber Eats and was extremely disappointed. The curry had very little chicken in it, and what chicken there was almost paper-thin and barely noticeable. The portion felt stingy and the quality was far below what I expected. Definitely would not buy from them again and don’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a proper Indian meal. They clearly cut corners on ingredients and portion sizes. Avoid if you want value for your money.

Terrible experience both in terms of food and customer service. I ordered Paneer Kathi Roll along with other food items as well. After having a bite of Paneer Kathi Roll, I noticed that there is no paneer in my Kathi Roll and so I called them to make sure I have received the correct order. Also I sent them the photo of the Kathi roll I received. They replied back to the photo saying that the circle they have made is of paneer. So this was the paneer in my Paneer Kathi Roll. Very disappointing and complete waste of money.

Yummy, me and my girl had the Tan Tan and Salmon bowl. My Tan tan was medium spice. So good! Her Salmon bowl was great too. Next time I’ll have the salmon bowl. Would have included picture s but they disappeared too fast.

I just wanted to tell you I absolutely LOVE this ramen store. It has been my go to ramen store for the past few months now and I probably come here once every week-two weeks sometimes with my partner but a lot of the time by myself. I’ve been coming here for about a year now, maybe longer. Let me tell you this ramen is insanely good, their spicy tonkotsu ramen is my absolute favourite. The spice level is great, the flavour it just melts in my mouth and the noodles are really great too. I always add in extra eggs and meat because it’s just so great! They’re always really popular too however only one thing is that when I do order my ramen to be Spicy, when I come on Saturdays, I think because the staff are different they barely make it as spicy as the weekday people do. Also just wanted to mention one more thing, I’ve found a lot recently I have been requesting to remove some of the vegetables, not all but some because I don’t like some and it hasn’t been removed, this has happened more than several times now. However I just want to thank you guys for always being such lovely people too, they’re always so welcoming and such kind people.

We had the Deluxe Miso Ramen and the Deluxe Tonkotsu Ramen. Both were delicious, but I preferred the Tonkotsu. It’s a bit more rich while the miso ramen has a bit of a lighter flavor. The broth in both were super flavorful and the ramen is served very hot and fresh. The pork and tempura shrimp on the deluxe ramen were excellent! The pork isn’t overly fatty (as someone that doesn’t like much extra fat on meat). The shop is pretty small inside though, but there is a lot of outdoor seating. Overall was super delicious and came out quickly! The staff were very nice as well.

The price is really fair, pretty cheap for Ramen, but I’ve had better ones around the city. It kinda feels like it’s a student meal of sort. Lower quality noodles and ingredients. Good if you are in a hurry and needed a bite.

This is our last dinner in Auckland. Ramen is great and I love the texture of noodles. Soup of noodles is not too much salty and I love it! Price is reasonable too! I’ll come again when I come back to Auckland.

On the first day that I arrived in Auckland gave the vegetarian option a chance and had to comeback as soon as possible because it was soooo good, also excellent service from the people.

Very very good Mazesoba. Great portion, amazing flavour. Love the noodle’s texture, the sauce is so good. As you can see i have been here twice in a week. The beef brisket is so soft and just melted in your mouth. Mega deluxe was a great way to try all the meat options.

Their mazesoba is exceptional, boasting chewy noodles and high-quality ingredients perfectly paired with savoury sauces. I reckon the noodle was the highlight for me. The combination overall though creates a delightful flavour profile, making it a must-try for Japanese food enthusiasts. The service is friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience!

A quiet authentic Japanese place. Very discret and humble. Their bentos are delicious and amazing. A great place for a first date or a date night away from the kids. They even sell real Japanese Wagyu directly from Japan, the best @ A5 standards. Just a wonderful place to eat 😋

Great place to dine. The mazesoba was delicious. Loved that the charsiu was blow torched. I added the chicken karaage and it certainly made me happier. The flavour was strong enough but if you wanted more umami, they also provide togarashi and their own spice mix. Staff were friendly and awesome! Would really recommend this place.

I’m Japanese, but I really love the mazesoba at this restaurant. The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere, and the service was great. This was my second time coming back. When I’m feeling low, eating something bold and hearty like this really lifts my spirits. Thank you!

Best ramen in Auckland!!!! I have been to all the ramen restaurants in Auckland! So full Of flavors and homemade buckwheat noodle they make, so healthy and no heavy oil!!!

Kome Sake Bar was hands down the best Japanese dining experience I’ve had in Auckland! From the moment we walked in, everything about the place felt like it emphasised quality—from the beautiful presentation of the dishes to the warm, welcoming service. The vibe was relaxed yet refined, making it a perfect spot whether you’re catching up with friends or looking for a special night out. The food was absolutely outstanding. The sushi rolls were incredibly fresh, flavourful, and beautifully crafted. Every bite had us immediately wanting to order more—and we did! Even though it was a bit on the pricier side, the taste and quality made it well worth it. You could genuinely taste the care and expertise that went into every dish. One of the highlights was definitely the soft shell crab—crispy, juicy, and packed with flavour. It’s easily one of the best I’ve had and is a must-order if you’re visiting. The service was another major standout. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome throughout the entire evening. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the service are equally excellent, but Kome absolutely nailed it. If you’re looking for high-quality Japanese cuisine in Auckland, Kome Sake Bar should be at the top of your list. I’m already looking forward to my next visit—and next time, I’m bringing an even bigger appetite!

The eel and salmon rolls were decent, and the scampi udon stood out with its rich, creamy, cheesy sauce that paired well with the udon, though there was only a little scampi meat. The steak was slightly overcooked but still tasted fine. The biggest disappointment was the ramen — it tasted like cheap pork with frozen noodles and a powdered soup base, yet it cost over $30. The beef tartare was fresh but sweet taste due to the sesame oil and sugar — not my preference. Overall the staff was quite helpful as we are a group of 7. Dessert-wise, the Basque cheesecake was decent with a caramelized crispy top, but the sesame ice cream was forgettable. Given the price, I expected better.

From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Chef Rex went above and beyond, giving fantastic drink recommendations and ensuring everything was perfect. The sashimi was unbelievably fresh, and the katsu chicken was light, airy, and perfectly crunchy. Highly recommend Kome for anyone looking for Japanese cuisine in Auckland!

I tried the Wafu steak, Scampi yaki udon (twice), and eggplant tempura along with a beer, Sakura Bellini, Kappa Martini, Whisky Highball, and Yuzu Whisky Highball. The highballs tasted a bit weak for me (though my friend was satisfied), but their cocktails are really well made. The food itself is taste little strong, but it pairs nicely with the drinks. The prawn in the Scampi yaki udon was very good quality compared to other places in the CBD – definitely one of my favourites. The eggplant tempura was a little sweet, but I think it will be paired well with beer.

Foods taste okay. Not the best but acceptable for the price ish. Spent $270 for two. For 3 large Sake, 27 pieces of sashimi(so so quality and smaller than expected), fired dumplings, tofu, and eggplants tempura. You’ll be the judge:)

This is the best Japanese food I have ever had, the seafood sashimi is very fresh, the green tea ice cream is also very good, the sauce of the salmon salad is very good, and the service attitude is very good.You can also see the sea from the upper floor.

Ordered the Tonkatsu Chashu Ramen and decided to pay an extra $0.10 for the extra noodles. It sounded too good to be true. However, they did put in a decent amount of extra noodles for me to say the extra money was great value. Portion size would be on the smaller side, if it wasn't for the extra noodles.

Went to get a quick takeaway work lunch, portion size is more a quick bite rather than a decent filling meal. I do like the way they pack the noodles seperate to the soup so I can have it later. Pricing is typical of commercial bay. I went early so short wait time. Service is minimal food court standard.

Went here for dinner, just looked around and decided on what looked good. The ramen was pretty good, not very many toppings but the 10¢ extra noddles is a great deal. The spicy chili sauce is SUPER HOT so watch out for that. And the portion size of the karaage was disappointing when the pictures show such a large size, at least it was as expensive as other places. I would totally come back here but not before I try some other restaurants in the food court!

What makes Japanese food Japanese food. Freshness, quality ingredients, incredible flavor that is distinctive and unique from other Asian cuisine. I've visited Japan, and I wasn't hoping this place would be on bar with what I ate there, but I expected fresh chicken, nope, quality hand made noodles, nah, great portion, no. Customer service was ok, and early bird is well priced. But don't expect temple food here.

I came in a few Tuesdays ago with my lovely wife. however she was taken aback by the man with the awfully suspicious looking moustache, I recommend a succinct and detailed background check, to ensure he does not steal the hearts of anymore women. The shop itself however must be brilliant, as I find my wife’s life360 location in the area every Tuesday at the exact same time. Me and my partner ordered the signature Tonkotsu ramen and the karaage chicken at Daruma Ramen and It was surely one of the best Japanese ramen we have tasted in Auckland. My partner who has travelled to Japan and has tasted the authentic tonkotsu ramen mentioned how amazing creamy and delicious the ramen was. I added extra chilli in mine as I love the extra kick in my food and I was surprised how much I loved my meal. I would surely go for round 2!

Excellent ramen. A few inauthentic subs, like rocket in place of nori, but the noodles were springy and the tonkotsu broth rich and creamy. 3/5 for atmosphere because it's a food court, but that can't be helped. Loved the food!

We love their noodle soups, it is tasty and and servings are generous. Come here for our noodle fix.

Great food. We had Youpo noodles, which were extremely tasty and vegetarian. The let you choose 3 x side dishes that were very nice. We had edamame, tofu strips and white tofu. All nice. There were other choices as well. And we had two of the best Taiwanese tea eggs we have ever eaten. Beware however! The shrimp wontons have pork in them and it doesn't say that on he menu!!! We Google this place and there are 200 branches worldwide.

I had the wonton soup with noodles this time, to dine in. Soup was nice enough. A bit too much white pepper, I think. I did like the little bit of pickles I found at the bottom. Handmade noodles were amazing as always - it was so nice and chewy and springy, but not tough. Wontons didn't seem to have much shrimp in it this time, for some odd reason. I had it before and I can distinctly see and taste some, whereas this time round, it was marginally discernable. Service was lovely. The girl was not pushy, and she confirmed my order since the wontons don't usually come with noodles.

The youpo mian and the fish rice noodles with pickled veges are both soo good. Substantial portions (photo does NOT do it justice) and really great prices. I come here every few days lol

Bad service! The young lady at the front takes orders has no patience for my family to order. But the food was not bad. Portions were good.

Not my cuppa tea or in this case noodles. We tried 3 types, their signature beef noodle, beef noodle a2 and a3. It all tasted similar there was too much noodles to condiment ratio, broth was average tending on the bland side. Overall experiance good, it was spacious and clean.

So delicious!! Meals were HUGE for a great price. Also really loves the spices soaked egg.
