Public swimming pool
Brean Splash Waterpark is a family-friendly theme park offering a variety of water activities for all ages. The park features a 25-meter heated indoor swimming pool, as well as shallow baby pools and both outdoor and indoor splash zones. Visitors can enjoy thrilling water slides suitable for children, along with a tipping water bucket in the outdoor splash zone. Additionally, there are relaxation amenities such as saunas, steam rooms, and jacuzzis available.
Went there today with our 3 year old and 11month old and absolutely loved it! Spent most of the time in the splash zone with the water fountains as it was the warmest place and the youngest could crawl around in the shallow water. The big pool was also good as it is like the ‘shallow end’ the whole way across, but it was a little on the cold side for the baby. Wasn’t too busy but we have just squeezed in before school holidays started : ). Didn’t venture in to the outside sections as it seems more for older kids. Good value for money in my opinion, will hopefully come back one day

Had a nice morning here in the soft play. Good value for the money. Plenty of seating area for th adults and toilets where clean. As tou can see from the photos plenty to do. There are plenty of slides and soft play equipment for all. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. Would highly recommend booking tickets beforehand to ensure availability. £4.50 to park the car, this is on top of the tickers. Reason for 4 start the place it's self was good. We booked 9.30 to 11 30 slot, we expected to be in for the full two hours whe toj pay for it. The doors to then soft play didn't open until 09.31 even though the staff were there and the rest of the park was open. I just found it a bit hard when everyone stood outside in the cold with children. The people at the back must have taken 20 minutes to go through, so they lost this time. Again, staffing issue, they where going around hoovering the small soft play area when the first children were going in there, it was like it hadn't been done before everyone arrived. And to top it off with staff, got to the food and café part, and the lady behind the counter couldn't find the milk jug for the milk when asked for an Americano and milk, it's not good when her college starts shaking her head at her and says just use something else when there's a que of 20ish waiting. Other than all of that, the place it's self is well worth it.

Took my daughter for a day out, she definitely had an amazing day. Plenty of options with the large pool, kids indoor pool and slides and the outdoor kids pool with slides despite the cold wet weather, they still had this open, although it was very cold everyone I saw out was having a good time. Never got chance to test the big slides, but they were all busy so next time I'll be definitely having ago on them

I’d give Brean Splash a solid 3 out of 5. It’s got a lot going for it but definitely a few things that could be better. On the positive side, it’s a great place for kids. The indoor and outdoor pools are spot on and there’s even a baby swimming pool which is a nice touch. The lockers are a decent size too and only cost 20p to use which is fair enough. At £20 a person I think it’s a fair price for what you get especially if you’re making a day of it. Now for the downsides. The staff honestly looked like they couldn’t care less. No energy, no friendliness, just that “does my face look bothered” kind of vibe which isn’t great when you’re bringing your kids for a fun day out. Another let down is that they don’t have any swimming equipment on offer which I think is a shame. Things like floats or noodles would have been handy. But the worst bit by far is the showers. You press the button, get about two seconds of water and then it cuts off. You have to keep pressing it over and over which is really annoying when you’re just trying to get chlorine off your skin. Overall it’s worth a visit for the pools themselves especially if you’ve got kids but the lack of enthusiasm from staff and poor facilities bring it down. With a few small improvements it could easily be a 5 star place.
Ayyub C — Google review
Website states you need to pay full price (£18) for a spectator.. yet they’ve replied to a complaint on here stating there is a spectator fee.. website states not. So I’ve tried calling them. 4 hours later, several phone numbers, no answer at all. How can a business not even answer a single one of their phones? So I’ve tried reading some more reviews to see if I can clear this up, I read bad after bad stating parents are not allowed to even take their younger children down the slides with them? Pointless for us as my 3 year old son won’t go down them without me.. and if I’ve got to pay £18 per ticket, why is the parking so expensive? Seems this business is after money and not good customer service. Haven’t even visited yet my experience is poor. 1 star from me. It’s a shame because it looked good and I would have paid the ridiculous ticket prices and parking if someone could have picked up the phone and spoke to me..

Absolutely disappointing And contradicting place. I saw the policies of ratios to children to adult. I called and spoke to a member of staff around 4 o’clock one day and explained that my children were really good swimmers and would like to use the baby splash area no slides So could I book the first session of the day that would allow that? The member of staff told me yes that would be fine. They often quiet and just explain to the staff at the door and they are usually quite accommodating. Member of staff on the door Refuses me entry because of the policies. I explained my conversation the previous day of which she can only apologise and tell me that staff member was in the wrong. She also tells me that their website is rather confusing and that they are looking into making Improvements . She gives me an email to seek a refund. This Was incorrect. I then find another email on their website. I emailed that. My response is I can book an 830 slot only and transfer my payment but they will not offer me a refund. Unfortunately, this is not what my children wanted to enjoy, Lane swims only. I was also on holiday and had left the following day. This was also explained. My poor children was so upset, There was thankfully a soft play next door And they could accommodate our visit at short notice, The staff there asked why my son was upset of which I explained, The staff member there even agreed that the website should not allow bookings that conflict with policies and this would avoid disappointment. This was suggested in my email of which I’ve had no acknowledgement. The basis they have kept my payment for absolutely no service and no good service at that. Customer service shocking!
Lindsay M — Google review
Good selection of slides and pool was nice temperature. Quite expensive at £20 ppl for 90 minutes. Would have been 4 stars but the place is filthy. Areas looked like they hadn't been cleaned for months.
Matt W — Google review
After years of bringing my children to Brean Splash as their summer holiday treat, I was disgusted to read that the prices have increased and for my husband and I to bring two children for 90mins costs £80!!!!! This has increased from £57 for the previous years! Complete rip off! Good bye Brean Splash, we won't be coming again! I would rather book a day out at the zoo and get a full day of activities for the same price!

Had a lovely morning in Brean Play, with my grandchildren aged 1 to 7 . Loved how clean it was especially ocean world. Cafe really clean . Staff helpful and friendly. Food fresh and hot. Delivered really quickly. Highly recommend a visit .

Visited for the first time with my 10 month old. While the bigger play area is decent and has enough to do, the baby area is lacking. Not much going on and multiple things worn or broken. Not to mention there numerous older children in the baby only section (not a care from parents or staff). This explain why things were broken as they’re not designed for bigger kids. All in all good value for money but won’t be returning unfortunately.
Nicki W — Google review
Went today with 2 kids and had a great time! The 3 year old absolutely loved the larger soft play, I went round it with him and it’s really well done, doesn’t feel claustrophobic and is really easy to navigate but also exciting for them. The ‘under 4s’ section was ok for my 11m old, he just wanted to crawl around through the tunnel but it’s not well ‘policed’ by staff or parents, with lots of older kids in there. The food was good, we had jacket potato and cheesy fries. Both tasted a little bit of ‘freezer burn’ but absolutely tolerable for the setting. It was the last day before school holidays; we went around 1pm, and it wasn’t busy at all, I would say about 10 families max. But they were well understaffed with one main staff member having to duck between the front desk and the cafe, as well as clean etc. No wonder they can’t monitor the soft play at all. I felt quite sorry for them and things I ordered from the cafe were forgotten so had to follow up. Would definitely return but I wouldn’t want to be there at peak time, it must be manic as the tables are very crammed together, not a lot of room for buggies!
Kate W — Google review
Definitely on the pricey side, especially if you want to add drinks/food on top of entry. Could do with a clean the floor was dirty, kids were going into soft play with food and the tables were not cleaned. Our kids enjoyed it and we didn't have to wait to go in (plus they let us in early as it was quieter) but we've definitely been to better ones that were more value for money. Brean overall is VERY expensive!
Sarah G — Google review
Nice, clean friendly and helpful staff, children really enjoyed the play and food. Parking charges are are expensive extra on top of the the entrance fee which unfortunately means we will not return.
Layton W — Google review
Brilliant for kids. Food wasn't too expensive and there's lots of choice. Parking prices are a bit steep but the play area is worth every penny
Deb S — Google review
Came today with my 6yr and 14mth old, we pre booked online which I would recommend especially for school holidays as they did have to turn away people who hadn't booked, generally a nicely set up of soft play, however there's a few issues that I feel need to be heard and maybe management can find a solution to sorting; firstly very clearly quite a few over 4s in the smaller area with the gate often being left open I found myself shutting the gate on many occasions, then 2 older boys had brought a drink into the smaller play area, I spoke to a staff member who said they would deal with it and the solution was to make an announcement!! Also saw at least 2 people wearing shoes when in both play areas!! Which their is clear signs saying no shoes but socks to be worn!! I feel alot of those breaking the rules was likely holiday makers as I've been before in school time and was a much different atmosphere etc, it was busy but not as busy as some soft plays I've been too. The staff bless them was absolutely run of their feet, very short staffed I'd say for such a popular soft play and especially at peak season/time, as we aren't too far away likely we will be back but definitely won't be back this summer holidays after today's experience which is a shame considering it was the best equipped soft play for my little one Management need to do better not just for the customers but for the staff too they was only young workers too 🥰
Charleen B — Google review
Huge soft play, pictures don’t size of justice. Upstairs seating gallery too. Catering on-site includes Starbucks coffee. 2 adults and one small child £6.85 and same again for a large tea, latte and orange juice box. Loyalty card scheme gets a free child entry after sixth visit

Brean Country Club offers a picturesque setting with stunning views of the lush golf course. The club provides a wide range of dining options, including daily menus, special burger nights on Thursdays, grill nights on Fridays, and their renowned Sunday lunch. For those seeking a lighter fare, the signature afternoon tea is highly recommended for an experience beyond just scones and cream.
Had a Sunday Roast and dessert. Good portion sizes, plenty for the children's meals. Excellent desserts. Nice service and atmosphere in the room. My son enjoyed watching the golfers while we ate. We will be back!

Absolutely wonderful place Spotlessly clean. Excellent service Sunday lunch was outstanding definitely in my top 5 ever!!! Meat cooked to perfection 👌 Vegetables tasty and perfectly cooked. Yorkshire pud was just like my Mum used to make. Roasties nearly as good as mine 😂 Reasonably priced too Excellent breakfast in the week too. Quality produce. We'll be back !!!!

Emma and the team were absolutely OUTSTANDING when we held a charity ball at Brean Country Club. Nothing was too much trouble, we had lots of meetings, everything was hugely organised, Emma and the team had an attention to detail like no other, their creativity was spot on too. Just wonderful! The food was unbelievable! For a mass catered event we couldn’t believe the standard - gorgeous chicken, beautiful roasties and veg. Absolute 10/10 and so glad we chose to host this special ball here!! Thank you Emma 🙏

What a fantastic course. Lovely and flat. However, it wasn't easy to navigate where the next tee was sometimes but luckily I was with someone who had previously used the course. Loved the wildlife too, swans, ducks and a heron walking across the fairway ☺️

What a beautiful location next to unity caravan park. I had booked to celebrate my anniversary, and afternoon tea was ordered. The location and parking is excellent, the facilities on site are spotless and all exceptionally very clean. The waiting area near the toilets has plenty of sofas to chill and relax from the main dining area. Staff on approach are extremely polite and friendly and definitely felt welcomed. Now being a Friday it was very quiet in the restaurant so it set the mood for a relax and talk with our shouting at each other, but I can confirm in the summer holiday this place is beyond busy with holiday makers. Tea for two presented beautiful and it does not look much but ended up bringing cakes home, I personally would have liked more sandwiches than pastry but it's preferable to my choice. All cakes were fresh and if you have a sweet tooth then this is for you to try. We chose one vegetarian plate and the other was with chicken and a sausage. All the cakes were very nice and small but enough to enjoy, We thought the coffee was again extremely refreshing and soft not harsh and strong so it complimented the cakes. The cost was £27 for afternoon tea for two and after paying £40 at Weston super mare pier I can confirm Brean Country Club was value for money. We looked at the menus and it seemed very much level with other higher end restaurants in Somerset. The views are extremely pleasant and show Somerset's beautiful countryside so if you fancy a walk you can have a stroll. Access to the club for disabled people is very good no complaints. We did not have a main meal from the menu and would love to return to try this out in the near future, the country club is quiet now in the week as it is out of season but I'm told weekends and particularly Sunday are busy. Highly recommend this country club just choose your time wisely, there is one complaint from us other than I personally would have liked more sandwiches and maybe a few crisp to compliment but every one has their own idea of what afternoon tea means. Thanks again to the staff excellent 👌 service.

My wife and I visited the brean country club to try the lunchtime offer of a two course meal for £10 each, the menu for this wasn't big but enough, you can choose a starter and a main meal or a main meal and a pudding, we both had fish and chips with mushy peas tarter sauce and a wedge of lemon and apple crumble and custard for pudding, both dishes were very good and filling.25/6/2025, update I've left four stars because the puddings are delicious, however my wife had the fish and chips again and this time it wasn't as good the batter wasn't very crispy and the chips not all good, I had blt in a toasted ciabta with crisps and salad leaves, the bacon looked ok and of fair quality but didn't have much taste, my salad was rough and going brown it was supposed to be a cucumber salad but only 1 slice of cucumber so not good, 2 out of the 4 glasses for water were dirty otherwise the place was clean and tidy and the staff were great but as usual not enough of them

The Burnham on Sea WI enjoyed a lovely cream tea today. The food was delicious and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Allergies were catered for, there was lots of variety and an endless supply of tea and coffee. We would definitely recommend it for a lovely treat.

Water & Amusement Parks
Brean Theme Park is a seaside entertainment center offering a variety of attractions for the whole family. From fairground rides and a water park to a golf course and family restaurants, there's something for everyone. Thrill-seekers can enjoy over 40 exciting rides including the Ultimate, Jetspin, Disco Fever, Crazy Loop, and Astro Storm. While dogs are welcome to watch from the ground on a lead, younger members of the family can have an unforgettable time.
The park is nice and consise, easy to reach from the local holiday parks, with a large selection of rides for all ages. The free entry/credit/wristband system is ideal for this type of fun park. Reasonable prices online reduction also. Worth it. Its a pity 3 big rides were not operating, Astro Storm in particular was disappointing not to experience. However, the five stars is for 2 staff members in particular. CALLIE the operator of Wipe Out was a sheer joy, fun, happy and really enthusiastic. Encouraging her to extend our ride cycle was funny, and hopefully she didnt get told off too much. She also helped retreiving my daughters soft toy prize which accidentally blew under the ride. DAZ, one of the managers arrived to save the item and make my daughter happy. Excellent service and understanding from both these first rate staff members, give them both a bonus!!!
Chris W — Google review
We were in a Friday, no waiting queue to go in, definitely buy tickets online its cheaper. It's a good fun for few hours, but not enough rides to keep you busy for entire day. In two hours you can finnish all the rides. Good variety of food and drinks and surprisingly clean all around. I will comeback here.
Florin M — Google review
It claims to be biggest free entry theme park in the UK and they are not wrong. Reasonable ticket prices, and many varieties of fun rides for kids of all ages and adults. You can buy 1 day, 3 days or annual pass or top up the credits and use them to take selective rides you like. Buy online in advance to make big savings. If you are fond of rides, buying a day pass definitely worth it. Toilets are available and plenty of food stalls. Rides are also thrilling and joyful. They are also open for longer times on selective days, check their website for their schedules.

Brean Leisure Theme park I was so pleasantly surprised by this park.Plenty to do for all ages. You can buy tokens or wristbands. We got unlimited bands and had a blast. We found the park to be extremely clean, completely friendly and not overly croweded.Staff are friendly and plenty of food options Rides, arcades,Trampolines and funfair games. Sweet Treats Brean takes the cake...Literally.Sweets,stuffed cookies, choco strawbs, crepes and doughnuts. You would be silly not to stop in and say hello to the Amazing team of ladies that make the sweet shop even Sweeter. My cookies were delicious, mainly the orea and dubai style🤤 Thank you Brean for a lovely day. 10/10 park.i highly recommend others to visit and I'd defo return in future

We had a great evening here. Something for everyone. Think the girl serving ice cream was being held there against her will and being forced to work (but thats just my opinion and probably isn't true) otherwise, everyone was friendly and the evening was a good one. Just to note, the go karts and mini golf is not included in the wrist bands.
T B — Google review
A very good place for young teens to start their thrill seeking. Basically a permanent funfair so expect those sort of rides. Good value for money lots of rides in a small area so you don't spend all day walking from ride to ride.
Chris T — Google review
Great place to take the kids, you can spend a couple of hours or all day here. Lots of rides for all ages. Kids over 1.2m can access all rides and the staff do check the childrens height. Lots of fun to be had. Dogs are allowed on site on leads. There's are water bowls dotted around the park. Wrist bands are cheaper if you buy online.
Wayne — Google review
Always a good time here. Average prices by today's standards. Visited again recently. Unfortunately the opening hours were very limited, shame considering it's June, and a few of the bigger rides were out of order. Still, the wristbands were cheap enough, so made the most of what was available! Good for little ones!

Nestled in the heart of Somerset, Brean Leisure Park is a fantastic destination for families seeking an action-packed day filled with excitement and laughter. At its vibrant Fun City amusement park, visitors can enjoy a diverse array of attractions ranging from thrilling roller coasters to gentle river boat rides, ensuring there's something for everyone—whether you're a thrill-seeker or visiting with little ones. After an exhilarating day on the rides, you can unwind at one of the many dining options available within the park.
Had a brilliant day. Had the top up card for my children as worked out for us as we were only there a few hours. Had a walk round the market which was okay. Paid £7 for a hat and then saw it cheaper £5 on a stall round the corner. Didn't have to queue long for the rides. Go karts were a favourite for my oldest son. Park was very busy and just needed a little tidy up throughout the day. Toilets were very clean. Amusements were good. Staff friendly and helpful.
Lyndse G — Google review
Get wristbands it's a must. The ride are really good, plenty for all ages. You don't have to wait long for the rides even in the busy seasons. The food is good and well priced, the kids cheese burger and chips with drink is £6.50 and it's was big enough for adults too.
Simon W — Google review
Very big theme park, lots of rides that are decent and food outlets, worth noting that it's £1 per token and most rides are 3,4 or 5 tokens each so up to £5 per person per ride
Mandy T — Google review
Decent fun fair, something for all the family, shame the market next to the fun fair has been stopped, think that is a mistake.
Brian R — Google review
We love Brean. Come here a lot in the summer. Only 45 mins away quiet drive. You can top up the cards for the fun fair and reuse them. We still have £16 left on one of our cards so we will be back.
Melanie B — Google review
Very expensive for what it is £32 each for my 12 and 13 year old as it gos on height. £4/£5 per ride per person if doing it without a wrist band. £3.50 for a oasis drink Lots of rides not on and the rides we did Queue for we sometimes had to wait 3 times as long whilst the staff went from one ride to another to operate it. I’m not sure this safe ?! Like with everything in the UK greed is killing it off and ruining the fun factor. Worth couple of hours if your staying local to Brean though.
Lee B — Google review
Not cheap, not cheerful. Price is height dependent so you will pay adult prices if you are lucky enough to have a tall seven year old. Nowhere on the website does it state that rides are not in use or being fixed etc so you find out when you arrive. We actually got informed of the ride closures by the second member of staff to serve us. The first had trouble issuing our wristbands. But what can you do once you have travelled miles and miles to go out for the day.. say, "actually, due to these 12 rides not running, I'll turn around and go all the way home with these two girls who I've Brought out for their birthday treat" .... ??? Further to this, the price of food was ridiculous for what you got. £4 for a small tray of chips that looked burnt. Costa on sight didn't accept costa points, toilets were locked and when i asked for the key the staff didn't have one. I was told to use the main facilities. They didn't even use the coffee machine, they used a vending machine to make the coffees and other drinks. Yet there was a massive line to be served. Worst costa i have ever encountered. Overall the site was clean and tidy. The rides that were open looked safe and well attended. But the only other thing i will add is when the staff went on breaks they shut the ride down instead of getting cover. Which was a tad annoying for those who had already spent an age in line to get in. Something i noticed across the whole of the day. The toilets were "ok". I've seen worse! But something to note was there was the option of a shower. Something I've not seen before in public toilets. I believe you can bring your own food and drink into the park - not alcohol (for obvious reasons!) so i suppose the cost of food within the park can be your own personal choice. But kids will be kids (even the grown up ones!) and demand their seaside treats that will cause you to have to dig deep! We visited on a sunday and there was a market on alongside the park. We took a stroll through here to kill some time as the kids had been on all the open rides that they could in less than an hour so most of the day was spent going in circles. I don't think I'll be returning again. Not for the price. £5 just to get inside and best part of £30 for a child to ride as she was over their height limits for a "child" (x2 as we took a friend) seems a bit steep. I feel I've BREAN a bit ripped off!
Natalie M — Google review
Better rides, improved onsite bars/food courts since the investment however the pricing of the day passes/ all passes is extortionate you can also top up your amusement card to use as tokens for the rides and the card can be used on the pier in weston too

Animal Farm Adventure Park is a 23-acre farm park located just a short drive away. It features over 250 animals, including farm, pet, and exotic animals. Visitors can interact with goats, donkeys, llamas, pigs, and more. The park offers various activities such as reptile handling, cuddle club sessions, and animal talks on a daily basis. Additionally, there are indoor and outdoor play areas for children to enjoy regardless of the weather.
Loved it here! I didn’t listen to the bad reviews online, and decided to go and make my own opinion. And I’m so glad I did!! The staff there at the moment are all new, and are doing their hardest and making the place great. The staff were extremely friendly, and happy to talk about the changes happening to the farm. The soft play is amazing! Although the death slide is a little scary. During our visit, we saw staff loving on all of the animals, and the handling sessions were the best!

Would have been lovely in its heyday but now a bit run down. Lots to see over a 3 hour visit. Soft play area. Play fort and trampolines. Various animals to feed and set times to handle reptiles. Friendly staff. Better to visit on dry sunny days, take a picnic. Racoon looking old and lonely but well looked after. Foxes have large outdoor area. Prices on par with most adventure parks, a bit expensive. All theme park rides out of action and have been for a while. Quite a few empty enclosures.
Rock A — Google review
Needed a bit of an update , particularly on entering. A lot of empty enclosures and broken rides/areas... however as you get further in the animal part (farm) is quite nice. But you are already on a downer as you walk in. The soft play was great and the little cafe part too.
Richard W — Google review
Lovely staff and good variety of animals! Yes it needs updating as its been left to run down a little but taking into account the animals, soft play and cafe, walk through wallaby enclosure, animal meets and trampolines, I think its worth it. With some more money put into it, it has huge potential! Staff are keen to do the work to and get things upgraded so will be back again for sure!
Vicky W — Google review
I used to come to this farm regularly as a child and hadn’t been back for over 20 years since moving away. The farm has grown a lot with more animals and activities, but still has the same charm. The staff were all fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the animals. The enclosures are spacious and well thought out, and it was inspiring to hear about the rescue work of the charity. A special mention goes to Lucy, one of the keepers we met during our visit. Hearing about her hands-on rescue efforts, including personally helping to bring in the chinchillas was truly heartwarming. This farm is perfect for all ages (even those without children) and a must-visit for animal lovers!

Really aimed at younger children, but who doesn't like stroking bunnies and guinea pigs 😊 Staff are lovely and friendly, plenty of places for your picnic. Sat nav couldn't find it but our phones took us straight there, plenty of free parking. Recommend a visit

Thank you so much to the lovely staff who were on site on the 15th. Your warmth and professionalism made this a memorable and excellent day out. I highly recommend this park to everyone!

We went on a Sunday. I was scared we won't be able to get in as I didn't purchase our tickets online in advance. I was surprised to see the empty car park on arrival. Tickets are way too pricey for the offering. As soon as you enter you will see how bad is the park Condition. Toilets are clean, staff is lovely. They have a small buffet in the soft play. Children had fun but it is not worth the money.

My kids love this place and it is the best place locally to get ice cream whether it's regular, vegan or even dog ice-cream. Prices are decent and the ice-cream is lovely with lots of flavours to choose from and clear pricing.

Went in 1 time only when staying on Warren Farm, had 2 ice creams the same, one was so small could of eat it in one go. 3 young girls working but spent most of there time in a bit of a dream, not a clue what was going on. Could be a great place but really let down by uninterested staff and such small portions. Will not be returning.

Brean Down Bird Garden is a down-to-earth destination situated near the beach. It boasts a modest aviary housing several parrots. While it may be advisable to check the tidal times before visiting, as the absence of seawater can dampen the fun, this friendly place offers an enjoyable experience for dog walkers with its well-equipped facilities including dog ice creams and abundant water bowls for our furry friends.

The Italian Gardens is a delightful oasis just outside the bustling city center, offering a serene escape for visitors. This flat and well-maintained area features ample seating, although some benches near the fountains have seen better days. Families can enjoy watching playful children splashing in the fountains, which seem to dance gracefully in the breeze. It's an ideal spot to unwind after a day of shopping or simply savor some ice cream while soaking up the sun.
At the Eat Taste Festival here today. It's a great space for functions . Right next to the High Street and Sovereign Centre.

Lovely place to sit and relax on a beautiful summer day. The fountains create a calm atmosphere right in the heart of Weston-super-Mare. Plenty of benches, nice open space, and easy access to cafés nearby. Perfect spot to take a break and watch the world go by.

A great area located just outside of the sovereign centre. The area is flat and clean with plenty of space. There's plenty of seating, however some of the benches around the fountains have recently been damaged sadly. My son enjoyed playing in the fountains more so than the splash park around the corner. The dog also thankfully enjoyed washing himself off in them after his play on the beach. Beautiful to just sit and enjoy the area while listening to the sound of water as much as it is having fun and playing in them. If you're in the area check them out

Nestled in the serene Kewstoke area of Weston-super-Mare, the Prince Consort Gardens offers a delightful escape with its elevated seafront location overlooking Birnbeck Pier and the stunning Bristol Channel. This beautifully terraced garden spans three levels, featuring lush lawns, vibrant flower beds, charming rockeries, and both ornamental and wildlife ponds. Visitors can unwind on ample seating while soaking in breathtaking views.
Absolutely fascinated with this landmark, a great history behind it. Delighted to see that work has finally begun to restore it. Looking forward to seeing the progress.

A nice park at the top of a hill by the sea. It gives great views over the Bristol Channel to Wales, and was a peaceful place.
Karen B — Google review
A beautiful, peaceful garden that allows rest on plenty of benches. Overlooking the sea, you can view the pier and the ocean. Impeccably kept lawns allow dogs to have fun. I truly applaud the Friends of Prince Consort Garden group for a beautiful place to visit.
L C — Google review
One of my favourite places in Weston! Fabulous views! Like a varanda over Birnbeck pier and then Steep Holm and Flat Holm across the channel before Wales on the other side, Cardiff and Penarth. Also Sand Bay to the right and Weston Bay to the left. The garden offers lawns and a large number of benches. It can be quite exposed to the wind! A pond full of fish and vegetation. And then (you might miss this!) a nearly secret hidden corner behind the fence to the left of the pond if you’re facing the Channel with a larger pond, sometimes ducks, and benches tucked under shrubs and… naughty looking cherubs into nooks and crannies all around the wall! A delight!…

A very nice garden. There is a wildlife area, where in the right season, you may see frogs and dragonflies.

The Grand Pier in Weston Super Mare is a renowned landmark that offers a classic seaside experience. It features an array of attractions, including indoor rides, arcade games, and a funfair at the end of the pier. Visitors can also enjoy treats like candy floss and ice cream while taking in the scenic views of the sea and beach. The pier's grand pavilion houses various entertainment options, from slot machines to a ghost train called the 'Castle of Doom'.
The Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare is a great place for a fun day out. There’s something for everyone, whether you're visiting with family, friends, or just looking for a bit of seaside nostalgia. The arcade games and rides inside are a big hit with kids and adults alike. There’s a nice mix of classic games and modern attractions, including a small indoor roller coaster and a 4D cinema. The pier also has places to grab a bite to eat, from tasty fish and chips to sweet treats like donuts and ice cream. The views out to sea are lovely, especially on a clear day, and walking along the pier gives you that classic British seaside experience. It’s clean, well-kept, and has a lively, friendly atmosphere. Overall, the Grand Pier is a fun and affordable way to spend a few hours by the sea. A must-visit if you're in Weston-super-Mare! Parking can be found opposite the pier on the main road or in the town. Free motorcycle parking down the main road on the beachfront. Free toilets in the pier, but the pier is £2 each to enter. Well worth it!
Grace P — Google review
We had an amazing time at The Grand Pier and Weston-super-Mare! The beach was lively with so much to do rides, food stalls, ice cream, and activities for everyone. The sand was absolutely amazing and so soft, perfect for relaxing or playing with the kids. We stayed to watch the sunset, which was phenomenal! The only downsides were that the water was quite dirty and stayed far out most of the day, only coming closer around 6 in the evening. Overall though, it was such a fun and memorable day out. Definitely worth a visit
Maria H — Google review
I wish they had a sunny beer terrace on the top floor of the pier—it would make a huge difference. Watching the sunset with a beer in hand is the kind of memorable experience people come back for. Many piers in California offer that, and it really elevates the visit. I also noticed a few loose floorboards that caused someone to stumble, so hopefully those get fixed sooner rather than later.
Evgeny N — Google review
To be honest I feel that charging people to enter the pier at £2 per person is a bit cheeky. However as it was summer holidays there was free face painting and kids characters walking about for photo opportunities so I guess this paid for itself. I took the children to the dinosaur soft play but it wasn’t particularly dino themed, they got bored easily as not the biggest play area. Arcades are large and varied, plenty of toilets dotted about. I chose not to eat so can’t comment on the food. I would say it’s ok to kill a few hours on maybe a rainy day.
Michael C — Google review
The rides were great fun, and the wristband offers good value for unlimited rides. Just be aware that go-karting requires closed-toe shoes—so no sandals! The 2p machines were entertaining but a bit stingy with the prizes. Also, the £2 initial entrance fee to the pier feels a little steep, especially if you're just planning a short visit. It was a great way to spend time together and make some happy memories.
Peter A — Google review
Day out to Weston Supermare and a wander down the pier. £2 entry through turnstiles. Lovely walk - or there’s a free train- we came back on the train being big kids, or rather we were full from a delicious lunch at Tiffany’s. Great views out to sea - tide was out so it was mostly sand! Played on a few machines in the arcade but didn’t win anything!
Roz M — Google review
Got loads to do for kids and big kids! Tickets in advance save you time when you get there. We bought the £30 wristbands which are well worth it if you're planning on spending the full day there, but if adults aren't going on or in anything paying £2 to get in might be the better one if you're mainly there for the amusements
KTY — Google review
£2 to enter and then be prepared - if you have kids - to pump endless 2ps into the machines to win assorted tat worth about 30p. But if you like amusements then you've a good selection for when the rain inevitably pours. The pier itself is well maintained and I guess the £2 entry fee goes towards keeping the structure going, so that's something. Provides great views back over WSM and also a photogenic location for sunsets. Worth a visit if you're walking the seafront, which itself has been much improved over recent years.

Located just a short distance from the beach, Holiday Resort Unity offers a stark contrast to its surroundings. With 75 years of experience as a holiday park, it is well-established and widely popular in Somerset. Offering an extensive range of amenities and activities, there is hardly anything that they do not provide. Duffy's Caravan website provides all the information needed for a break at this holiday home in Brean, Somerset. It is highly recommended for families, as the caravans are clean and comfortable.
We had a wonderful caravan, it had everything you could need and more, spotless clean and full size fridge freezer. Really great spots for the children, entertainment was good for all ages. Highly recommend having passes included in your stay. The pool was amazing, from the time we stepped in the kids forgot we were with them and was very happy. I really loved it seeing their happy faces everyday. Highly recommend for families
Kim W — Google review
We will be back! We booked 3 caravans for our large family and all were perfectly acceptable, one had a private garden and huge bedroom, which we've never seen before. You get one free access to soft play and swimming, which is enough (although other sites offer swimming free for your whole stay) they are great pools and soft play is fab. The beach is a 5 minute walk. If anything, better food and wine choices would be great, but we would expect more from a caravan site. We were happy
Chelsea W — Google review
I’ve been visiting Brean for years and have always loved staying at Unity — I even used to live on site many years ago! Unfortunately, my most recent stay was quite disappointing. I booked a pet-friendly 3-bed Gold caravan expecting it to have a decking area, as shown and advertised on the website. However, I was placed in a caravan without one. When I went to reception to ask if I could be moved to a caravan with decking, I was told there were no others available — even on the golf course. I later found out this wasn’t true, as the golf course area was almost empty. I explained that I would never book a caravan without decking because I have a reactive dog, and the decking provides a safe outdoor space for her. I was told that “decking can be selected when booking,” which implied it was my mistake. To check, I went back onto the website to see if I had missed that option — but it turns out it isn’t an option at all, something that surprised the staff at reception. When I pointed out that the caravans are advertised online with decking, the response I got was, “That’s just a picture of one caravan though.” This felt dismissive, and frankly, quite condescending. The guests next door also complained about the same issue, agreeing that the images are not representative. On a separate note, the entertainment for Country & Western Week was repetitive and clearly aimed at an older audience. It would have been nice to see more variety, including some modern country music — as someone under 30, I found it quite boring. Overall, what really spoiled the holiday was the unfriendly and unhelpful attitude of the reception staff. It’s a real shame, because I’ve always had such positive experiences at Unity before. I hope management takes this feedback seriously — both to improve transparency in advertising and to ensure guests are treated with more care and respect in the future.
Amber R — Google review
A Shambolic Shadow of Its Former Self Having attended Unity's Country Festival several times before, I was hopeful about the revamped venue—now awkwardly renamed The Wonkey Donkey. Sadly, the changes have stripped it of everything that once made it enjoyable. The new interior favours style over sense, with design choices that defy logic—like a raised dining area that blocks the view of the stage for half the room. Seating is cramped, poorly laid out, and uncomfortable. Accessibility clearly wasn’t a priority. But the real issue? The dance floor. What used to be a fun, inclusive space is now a stage for the self-important, “look at me” line dancing crowd. Morning to night, the floor is taken over by classes, rehearsals, and performances that leave zero room for casual dancers or those simply wanting to enjoy live music. Step onto the floor without boots and choreography, and expect glares, passive aggression, or to be physically edged off. It doesn’t stop there—the same crowd takes over the seating too, arriving early to claim tables, then disappearing for hours while leaving a single person to “guard” the spot. Meanwhile, actual paying guests are left to stand around or hover awkwardly . The entertainment programming is stale, heavily geared toward the over-60s line dance niche. There were a few bright spots—Adam Harding and a strong Garth Brooks tribute—but these were exceptions in a lineup that felt tired and uninspired. The female compère forgetting artists' names and engaging in awkward banter didn’t help. This festival used to be about community, music, and good times. Now, it feels like a private dance hall for a cliquey few who treat the space like their personal rehearsal studio. If you’re not part of the in-crowd, don’t expect to feel welcome. Won’t be returning unless there are serious changes. Unity, you’ve alienated your wider audience—and people will vote with their feet Plus point Spirit if the old west are working hard to bring the festival back to its former glory but need unity to listen
Spanglish C — Google review
What an absolutely great holiday. We usually go to more chain branded parks however thought we would try unity and so glad we did. Our caravan although not rented through unity themselves was everything we wanted and more. The park is great for dogs with plenty of greenery and dog bins. The variety of restaurants on site is great and means everyone can find something they like. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Wonkey Donkey which was a great price, big portions and all the perfect temperature. The only issue which wasn't completely down to staff was our food was taken to a different table which the people sat at accepted the food and ate for free ... it was only when I talked to a waiter that we found out why we had been waiting for so long. Another bonus and great way to have fun was renting a golf buggy to explore the park. A full license and being over 25 is required but it is a great way to explore the park and have fun whilst doing so. Hopefully will be back next season.
Leah H — Google review
Had a long weekend in July this year with three small children. The lodge we stayed in was lovely and clean. All the staff we spoke to were lovely and helpful. I have a few things which I would recommend 1. It would be a good idea to have some plastic plates etc for young children as the crockery isn't really suitable for the very young. 2. Having to take a booking number and your tickets everywhere is quite annoying. Would be really good and save on the queues at Swimming and soft play if this was all available on the App. 3. We arrived early on the Friday and the temperature was over 30, having young children we were unable to stay on the park and as we didn't have our passes we couldn't go into the main entertainment venue. Our only option was a pub or the arcade. We ended up waiting in a shady spot behind Rj's waiting for a text message at 3pm which didn't come. I went to reception and collected the details but I do think that the passes could be issued on arrival to allow you to enjoy all the site for the full day. 4. Wifi should really be free and available for the full length of your stay. 24 hours these days really isn't any use as most parents take Ipads for children to watch and having to pay on top of the price of the holiday isn't really keeping up with other sites of this type. 5. As the weather was so hot we didn't make it to the fair ground as we were going outside after 7pm when it had shut. Was nice and quiet on the beach though at that time. All in all, we had a nice few days away :)
Sharon H — Google review
We came here to try it out for a change to our normal club sites etc and had a really great stay. The pitch size was really good, and actually really nice and level. The only one issue we had was that it was really NOT clear where is dog friendly and where is dog friendly. They say they’re a dog friendly site but not all parts are actually dog friendly and it isn’t clearly marked or advertised where is and isn’t. For example RJ’s don’t allow dogs, so we walked all the way to the other side of the park to go to wonky donkey only to be told where we sat didn’t allow dogs either! Neither place had ANY signage to specify this.
Nick D — Google review
We used the brown camping site. The pitches are great and spacious with electric and water supplies, washing facilities and showers/bathrooms which are maintained well and cleaned regularly. It's a fantastic site for children and families with lots of entertainment on site and fun filled days out all within walking distance.

Brean Down, a stunning promontory managed by the National Trust, is a must-visit destination that extends into the Bristol Channel. This remarkable site not only boasts breathtaking views of the Somerset coastline and Welsh hills but also holds historical significance and is home to diverse wildlife. The journey to its summit involves an invigorating climb, rewarding visitors with panoramic vistas once they reach the top.
Great place for all, walks up Brean down 1 short and very steep, 1 long but reasonably gentle slopes with spots to rest. Great NT café and shop below, reasonable prices, all coffee and food I've had has been very good, nice staff. Small indoor seating downstairs more room upstairs, courtyard seating and toilets Inc 1 for less able, plenty of beach side seating also. Plenty of dedicated cycle stands and other places to lock up bikes, large car parks. 7.5 miles of golden sands allowing you to walk/cycle all the way to Berrow and Burnham on sea. 10/10.

This is a great place for a trial walk. It’s easy to navigate and you can choose to walk along the path to the peak or take the direct steps. The area is quite windy.
Charles M — Google review
Just got back from visiting Brean Down with the National Trust and honestly I am blown away by the place. From the moment you step out onto the hilltop you are greeted with the most incredible views that make you stop and just stare for a while. The coastline stretches endlessly in both directions and the way the sunlight hits the water in the afternoon is just magical. You can see the waves crashing against the rocks and it’s so calming, it feels like the world slows down for a bit. Walking along the trails was such a treat. Everything feels so natural and untouched, and the air is unbelievably fresh. There are all these little wildflowers and grasses swaying in the breeze that make the walk feel almost like a painting. I kept stopping to take photos but honestly no picture can really do it justice. The old fort up there adds a sense of history that makes the scenery even more interesting. I found myself imagining what life must have been like back then while enjoying the view. I also have to mention how peaceful it feels up there. Even on a day when there were a few other visitors, you never feel crowded. It’s the kind of place where you can just wander and let your mind wander too. I spent a good couple of hours just sitting on the grass looking out at the sea and honestly it felt like therapy. If you love nature, history, or just need a proper escape from the daily grind, Brean Down is perfect. The scenery is genuinely breathtaking, every angle is a postcard, and the whole vibe of the place is just calming and inspiring at the same time. I can’t recommend it enough, I will definitely be going back soon.

This is a national trust car park. It costs £6 to park all day. It's right next to the beach. There are toilets. There is a cafe. There is a walk up the side of the mountain via steps for stunning views. You can also go onto the beach. Dogs are allowed on the beach. This beach is extremely wide when the tide is out, brilliant for stretching your legs and exercise. This beach also has an amazing amount of drift wood pieces.
R J — Google review
Nice walk either steps (lots) or old military road to get to the top. Walk to the end to see the forts with lots of information and history available.
Simon P — Google review
Have a play on the beach before you head off to the fort. It's only just over a mile walk to the Fort from the car park, but it feels like 5 miles if you use the steps and walk across the top. But it is so worth it. There is a longer, more gentle path around the outside. Most people seem to take that way back. Take a camera. Take food and water. Use the toilet near the National Trust cafe before you go. If you feel especially adventurous, climb down the rocks to the left of the Fort down to a pebble beach. There's a little cave you can explore.
Barry C — Google review
Great place to visit. The National Trust car park is near the down, gets full quickly. The beach car park is a 10 minute walk from the down. Steep path, steps open the walk, not for the faint of heart. The views are spectacular, down across the sands once you are up the top. Proceed to the end to find the ruined fort. The walk back gives the view of Weston and it's pier. For those who don't fancy the effort, enjoy a walk along the sands. It can be muddy when the tide is out.

We arrived at the National Trust carpark early and it was quiet. We paid £6 for the day. We walked up the hill, via the steep steps and along to the Fort which was very interesting. We walked on some small hilly trails to get there then walked on the flatter path to get back. We had our dogs with us. Although some dogs were off lead, we spoke to a chap near the Cafe who said that just last week a local lady had sadly lost one of her dogs off the cliffs. Even though our Collie is excellent off lead we took his advice and kept him on the lead. The Fort was very interesting with information plaques around the area. There were plenty of cows but no goats about today. On our return we had a lunch in the National Trust cafe. It was very pleasant and we sat upstairs looking over the sea. We had Cornish pasty, chips, cheesy chips, sausage bap and a fruit scone. All nice and warm and fresh. We really enjoyed our time at Brean Down.

Park
Nestled in the charming town of Weston-super-Mare, Clarence Park is a delightful green oasis that beckons both locals and visitors alike. This spacious park is conveniently located just a short stroll from the bustling town center, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and recreation. With its lush landscapes, mature wooded areas, and well-maintained facilities, Clarence Park offers something for everyone. Families can enjoy quality time at the children's play area or take leisurely walks along scenic paths.
I love this park a park of serenity for me. Not to big. So a nice gentle walk around the circumference is very relaxing. I took my pack lunch But did not realise that the café is now open. The park is nicely spaced out with different activities, children areas bowling greens. The wildlife is especially friendly. With squirrels and birds eating from my hand. The ornate fish pond is nice to see with a nice water fountain in the centre of the pond. A great place for me to dwell on life. And what l saw it is a great place for family's..

What a beautiful Park, located few steps away from Weston's sea promenade. The gardens are very well kept, lots of trees making the park shaded and fresh. Picnic benches, a fountain/pond, a nice playground and lovely hiking trails surrounded by flowers. Also, the squirrels are very friendly ☺️💚 The park is divided into two gardens (east & west). Nice place to stop by when visiting Weston.

Clarence Park is honestly a lovely spot in Weston and I’d give it a full 5 out of 5. It’s got loads going for it. The open green space is perfect for just chilling out or having a picnic. The play area is great for kids with plenty to keep them busy. There’s a nice little café on site where you can grab a cuppa or an ice cream. The flower displays in the summer look amazing and make the whole place feel really colourful. It’s also a decent spot to walk your dog and meet other dog walkers which gives the park a nice friendly vibe.

Wonderful green space to enjoy spending time by yourself or with loved ones. Lots of space to walk a dog, have a picnic, or have a seat enjoying the greenery. There’s a playground for the young ones to keep themselves occupied and get new friends and a restaurant within the park with seating space to enjoy a meal. A space to play bowls is also available in the park for those who enjoy watching. There are free classes as well for anyone interested in learning to play the sport.

We visit this park daily, my daughter loves to explore between the trees watching the birds and squirrels! There is a cafe that sells food and drink and monkey nuts for the squirrel! Small little playground also for children to run around in!

Pretty park in the centre of Weston-super-Mare. Has a variety of areas to enjoy. Small play park for young children, enclosed for safety and benches provided for parents to supervise. Woodland area with an abundance of broad leaf trees occupied by friendly squirrels and pigeons (take peanuts). A formal flower garden with plenty of benches to relax and enjoy your surroundings and a pretty pond with fountain and fish. There is also open lawened areas and a locally owned cafe perfect for picnics and refreshments. A public toilet, local bowling club, adjacent park for ball games and dog walking, street parking and disabled access is all on offer here.

A beautiful, well-kept park, free parking on outside streets. It has a pond and a good cafe, a picnic site. Toilets also at the park The squirrels are very friendly

You've removed the kids swing , the only thing my children could used as 10 and 7 year olds. If you take away a swing put it back better. I don't get the new trees onto eh cricket pitch, you definitely don't think about other things. Like pot holes that so big you have to drive around them. Never understood North Somerset council, apparently £20 million grant , you will need more than that to sort the town out. What ever the councilors are on can I have some please. Total lost government.

Bluebell Woods is a hidden gem located just a short drive from Weston, offering visitors an enchanting experience amidst nature's beauty. This picturesque area features stunning carpets of bluebells, particularly near Goblin Combe, where the vibrant blooms are easily accessible right off the road. The woods provide a serene environment for families and dog walkers alike, with mostly level paths that meander through thick undergrowth and native trees—perfect for spotting local wildlife.
Fabulous little woods on the outskirts of Uphill. Mostly level walking with lots of tracks to follow. Some hills but only small. Thick undergrowth and lots of native trees offering perfect environments for birds and wildlife. Popular with families and dog walkers, perfect for hunting or hiding painted rocks. Parking is on the road, no bins or toilets. So please take litter home. Surrounded by the golf course and the donkey field (no donkeys are homed here any more) making it quiet and fairly secure for dogs and children to run free. We visited to see the snow drops and were not dissapointed. You will also see bluebells later in the year and other native plants. Take a camera to capture some lovely pictures.

Nice little wood with adjoining meadow. There is access across golf course to Uphill Marina and beach. Also Uphill Village and Brean down way for Cycling or walking. Great cafe at Uphill Marina.

Just between shows. Cowslips and primroses just going over and the bluebells are a week or so away

One of the most wonderful beauty spots in Weston. Please take your rubbish home as this is a site of special scientific interest and if caught littering or having fires there you could land a £10000 minimum fine. Please keep my local beauty spot being just that, beautiful. After all it's there for everyone.
