Italian restaurant
Modern European restaurant
Gem 42 in Newport, Monmouthshire is a top spot for afternoon tea and Italian-Welsh cuisine. The restaurant holds 3 AA Rosettes and is run by the same team as Gemelli's. It offers innovative Italian dishes with unique sensory experiences. The Chef's Autumn Tasting Menu features creative dishes like Menai mussels and a visually stunning dessert. This hidden gem promises a magical culinary journey with each dish reflecting years of experience and expertise, making it an unforgettable dining experience.
I would rate this one of my favourite restaurants in Welsh. We have been to a few Michelin star restaurants and I feel the food from Gem 42 is even better than some of them. I had winter menu six courses and I can say it worth every penny. What I see in the food is a good mix of tradition and creativity. I can feel the influence and love in the chef’s heart from Italian, French, Japanese and also Wales food. Instead of perusing only the most expensive ingredients, this restaurant values the importance of freshness, the nature and balance of different food. There is definitely room to improve, but we enjoy our food journey with them on a Friday night. And great service from all the staffs and chefs from Gem 42. Thank you.

By far the best afternoon tea we have ever had! From the moment we arrived, the setting exuded luxury, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. They were not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, which added so much to the overall experience. The seating is thoughtfully arranged to give you plenty of space to relax and savour each moment — and trust me, you’ll want to enjoy every second. This isn’t your typical afternoon tea. It’s an experience. The chef presents each element as a separate course, each one crafted with meticulous attention to detail. You can truly taste the care and thought that has gone into every bite. A palate cleanser that was nothing short of extraordinary sets the tone for what’s to come — an array of sandwiches and desserts that are true works of art. The flavours, textures, and presentation are all simply outstanding. Beyond the food, the entire experience is seamless. The passion of the team, particularly their Italian heritage, shines through in every aspect and gives Gem 42 a sense of authenticity that’s rare to find. What amazed us most was the value — the level of service and quality of food far exceeds the price. Simply outstanding. We were so impressed, we booked our next visit before even leaving.
Bethan B — Google review
A fantastic Italian tasting menu experience. We went out with friends and had the 6 course option and chose our own pre and post dinner cocktails and wine. Fantastic service throughout and so lovely to have the chef introducing each dish. Will definitely be back!
Andrew D — Google review
Possibly The best dining experience I've ever had! From the incredible attentive team who look after you to the fabulous and creative food and expert wine pairing, this was a truly special experience. This restaurant is long overdue a Michelin Star.
Sarah M — Google review
I visited Gem42 today with my mother for Italian afternoon tea and it was incredible!! Every bite we took, we looked at each other in disbelief at how amazing it all tasted. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and made the experience even better. The atmosphere was quiet and the Italian music that was playing just added to the experience (especially if you love Andrea Bocelli like us). The chef brought out all of the food and explained what each of the items were, and the meanings behind them. I would 1000% recommend dining here! We will most definitely be back soon :) (I should have taken more photos as there was SO much food and it all looked beautiful)
Daisy P — Google review
What an amazing place! The food is superb. Creative, surprising and the best quality ingredients, served with such care and attention. The team are so attentive and take the best care of you. I’m gluten free and had incredible breads, crackers and the most delicious gluten free focaccia I’ve ever had. I’d highly recommend a visit, it’s a wonderful restaurant.
Penny B — Google review
Michelin worthy restaurant! We had waited for a while to get our booking, my goodness was it worth the wait. Chef Sergio is an incredible chef and his team are producing culinary works of art, well done Overall an amazing experience! Had the Chef Signature tasting menu with wine pairing, everything was faultless, the food was just so good, the pairings perfectly complemented and the service was impeccable. The price is definitely reasonable. I'd definitely go back!

We had such a lovely time at Gem42! Each dish was insane and was such an incredible journey. The staff were so friendly and kind and knowledgable about the food! Most importantly, they did an entire Vegan tasting menu!!! It was just the best, would 100% recommend to anyone!

Italian restaurant
Coffee shop
Nestled on Chepstow Road, Marenghi's Restaurant is a charming Italian coffee shop and eatery that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike. This family-run establishment offers a delightful array of traditional Italian dishes, perfect for those seeking comfort food in a cozy setting. With its warm atmosphere and attentive staff, Marenghi's provides an inviting experience that feels like dining at home.
A lovely family-run restaurant we discovered while visiting South Wales from London. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the owner was very thoughtful in arranging a spacious table for us as we had a baby. We ordered two starters, two mains, and a homemade tiramisu, which was absolutely delicious—the pasta completely changed my impression of pasta! The owner even treated us to a side dish and kindly offered wine, though we couldn’t accept as we had to drive. Heartfelt food and genuine hospitality—we’ll definitely return when we visit Newport again!
SikaPY K — Google review
Amazing service and food . Very reasonable priced and nice to see lots of gluten free choice. Highly recommended to go. I would ring to book a table. If you have special diet requirements they are very helpful.
Jason W — Google review
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly service that made us feel instantly welcome. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting — perfect for a meal with family and friends. The food was great — authentic Italian flavours, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. Every dish we tried was full of flavour and clearly made fresh as you ordered because two of us asked to tweak our mains and they were very accommodating. If you're looking for a place with great food, genuine hospitality, and top-tier attention to detail — especially when it comes to dietary needs — this is the spot. We’ll definitely be back!

A really friendly Italian cafe owned by a lovely Sicilian man. Locals use it regularly. It also sells Italian items like pasta, tinned tomatoes and coffee beans. The menu has a good selection of food and drink items. There's not much parking space on the street but spaces may be available in the surrounding area.
Julie H — Google review
Great food and service in this lovely authentic italian restaurant. Such friendly staff and delicious food (especially the tiramisu!) that made our evening. Food and wine very reasonably priced. We had a great time as a group of friends and will be back very soon!

We dined in last night with family and friends. You can quite clearly see why they are reviewed so highly. Service was fantastic, friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and outstanding quality.

Absolutely love this hidden gem, it may look like just a cafe however step inside and indulge on authentic Italian food with that Mitchelin star quality. My family are Napolitan & the Owner & So ln didn't disappoint with their warm welcome, home cooked food and distinctive "Nonna" food smells. The food is tasty, well presented, reasonably priced and very authentic. Everytime my family are visiting we aim to stop here. Dad even gets to enjoy his Naples roots favourite desert as the Owner imports it directly from Naples. BABA RUM a must try when dining here. Cant wait for our next visit. You can even take a little bit of Italy home with you with their range of take out dry pasta, gifts and Vino ! Well worth a visit in December to get a bespoke Hamper!
Marco — Google review
Hidden gem! If you want that home cooked Nonna smell, taste and feel that this place needs to be at the top if your visit list. Authentic food and service was like I stepped into Naples. Casa da Casa. Definitely my go to Italian, also has gifts and prepacked pasta's to take away. They even import Baba Rum a must taste Napolitan dessert!

Indian restaurant
Nestled on Cross Street in Caerleon, Red Fort Caerleon has quickly established itself as a standout Indian restaurant since its opening in 2019. This culinary gem has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike, thanks to its warm atmosphere and attentive service. Diners rave about the generous portions and creative twists on traditional dishes, such as curry stuffed into roasted aubergine. The staff is known for their friendliness and willingness to accommodate dietary needs, making every visit enjoyable.
This is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants we have been to for Indian food. The shared Deli Tower starter was superb, and all the flavers were really mouth-watering We moved on to a selection of mains, and again, they were all outstanding and well presented The service was first class and the staff were very helpful and even were happy to run through the menu and suggest the dishes to suit our taste The place was well decorated and spotlessly clean, and even the toilets were of a 5 star hotel I would have no hesitation in recommending the restaurant to anyone. We are so looking forward to visiting again soon.
Jesset — Google review
A bunch of us do a curry night once a month, one of our number chose the Red Fort Cut to the chase - nice restaurant, good service, bit more expensive than usual, food varied from exceptional to somewhat disappointing. The food experience varied from person to person. All the food was a tad more expensive than usual. My chicken madras was generous (although the sauce was nothing to get excited about) the chicken was outstandingly tasty and tender, yet my friend's lamb pathia was short on meat, strong on taste and tough (mutton?) - I shared my chicken and he agreed that it was outstanding, Another of our party had a biryani which was expensive but the portion was small. Overall, a pleasant experience but somewhat variable in terms of value for money and quality.

I’ve eaten at hundreds of Indian restaurants but this has to be in the top 3! Stunning from start to finish. Quality and taste superb, staff excellent and even good value considering this is really top drawer. Definitely be back.

Stumbled on this great place to eat by accident. Happy we did food was very good and service was also great. Didn’t have a reservation and the place was full as it appears the locals know it’s great offerings.

Party of 4 celebrating wedding anniversary. Great food and service as good as ever. Delicious. However they need to update the Restaurant pricing on their website to reflect the actual higher pricing on the menu in the restaurant itself. The difference is considerable!!

Our first time eating here and we weren’t disappointed. Extensive and exciting menu, friendly service and the steady flow of customers is a credit to this lovely restaurant. We’ll worth a visit and we will be back. Thank you.

Restaurant
Nestled at the top of Stow Hill, directly across from the stunning Newport Cathedral of St. Woolos, Vittorio’s is a charming family-run restaurant that exudes warmth and hospitality. With its rustic decor and inviting atmosphere, it has become a beloved spot for locals seeking authentic Italian cuisine. The menu features a delightful array of regional dishes that celebrate traditional flavors while also incorporating innovative touches from their talented head chef.
We visited Vittorios on a Tuesday evening. Lovely atmosphere, with family celebrations taking place and other groups of people. So despite being early on in the week, and not a weekend, it was still busy, demonstrating it is a firm favourite amongst customers. The staff were, I’m assuming family, and you could get that family run vibe whilst there, which added to the positive experience we had. Staff were attentive, whilst Also giving space and privacy to enjoy our food. Earlier the previous week, unbeknown to me my husband had spoken with Vittorios to arrange a ‘quiet area’ to sit down, so that he could propose to me to renew our wedding vows. We were placed in a quieter area, and my husbands request was managed discreetly without me catching on. Our wine was being brought to our table mid proposal and the young lad bringing it completed a 180 degree turn so fast to give us the space and privacy during the special moment. I couldn’t fault him for this and was impressed by the service we received. They congratulated us afterwards and gave us a complimentary celebratory dessert which was unexpected, but a really lovely touch. All food was hot, delicious and there were large portions. This restaurant is a local gem in Newport, and we are very grateful to have a created a treasured memory during our visit there. 10/10 service, food, and value for money. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you Vittorios x

Tiramasu Heaven – A True Italian Gem in Newport Me and my wife came for a trip to South Wales and wanted to try a local restaurant, and that’s how we came across Virtorio. As we were driving through Newport, I’ll be honest, it didn’t look like much of a location, and the place isn’t in the central part of town. But the moment I stepped through those doors, I felt transported into a different world — a beautiful Italian setting, classic décor, and warm smiles that greeted us like family. We saw families celebrating birthdays, tables filled with laughter, and the food… truly something else. The handmade pasta, the authentic pizzas, and for me, the highlight — the tirimsau absolute heaven. Everything was prepared with such care that it felt like dining in Italy itself. This wasn’t just a meal, it was an experience, and I’m so glad we discovered it. Virtorio is a hidden gem that deserves to be celebrated.

Staff were very friendly and polite. The food was spot on and delicious. The atmosphere was comforting and relaxing. Always nice to meet some new family. Will definitely be coming back again.

First time eating here and we will be back for sure. First of all there is plenty of free parking (in the evenings) right outside the restaurant and around the main church where the restaurant is located. The restaurant has a lovely ambience as soon as you walk in. Spacious feeling. Traditional feel to it. Fantastic service from the pleasant staff. Food - great portion size and very tasty.
Marky R — Google review
We went at a busy time on a Saturday night, the staff was very busy but very friendly, we had a drink as we waited for a table, then was seated by the window, which was nice to see the world go by. Food has excellent flavour and good portion sizes, the wine was nice, garlic chibatta with mozzarella was Incredible :) nice cheesecake to finish up and the bill was very reasonable. We enjoyed ourselves a lot.
Leigh ( — Google review
Had a fantastic authentic Italian meal at this restaurant tonight. The food was out of this world, staff extremely obliging and the atmosphere was delightful. I loved the whole experience and would wholeheartedly recommend this family run restaurant to anyone. One of our party was Italian and praised everything about the evening. Thank you and well done!
Sharon W — Google review
This was our first visit to this wonderful restaurant that we had been meaning to try for quite some time and I'm pleased to say it was fantastic and the perfect choice for a nice intimate night for just my girlfriend and myself on her birthday. The atmosphere within the restaurant itself is just right with mainly just people sat quietly chatting while eating and very little noise other one larger table who left before long. The place is very nicely decorationed and obviously well maintained with very nice comfortable chairs and tables. The service was impeccable from the first moment and both warm and friendly. The food itself was superb even though it's hard to compare restaurant to restaurant when it's this nice as each place and chef has different recipes and ways of making each dish but suffice to say all of the food we ordered and ate was incredibly fresh and tasty. Worthy of particularly mention and praise were the mozzarella salad starter and the carbonara which was a best ever in my opinion. Its not cheap but definitely not the most expensive around, the food, service and atmosphere itself make this restaurant one worth trying and enjoying so we would heartily recommend anyone to give it a try if you can.
Kevin B — Google review
The food itself is easily five stars, excellent and tasty well-cooked meals. When we went though, it took a very long time for them to take our order. To be fair, A couple people at our table said can we have a little bit longer but we ended up waiting nearly 25 minutes before they took our food order. When it did arrive it was really really good. Nice building with great decor.

Los Reyes Tapas & Wine Bar, located on Belmont Hill in Caerleon, offers a unique Spanish atmosphere and generous portions of delicious tapas. The restaurant features outdoor dining space for the warmer seasons and is highly recommended by many patrons. The menu includes a variety of Spanish dishes such as tortilla, paella, calamari, and grilled goat's cheese. Customers praise the excellent food, reasonable pricing, and friendly staff.
This tapas restaurant was recommended to us by friends and we have been meaning to visit for a long time. From the moment you step inside the door you are welcomed as if you are a friend. The food was high quality and tasty and the wines were good value and lovely too. We were lucky enough to sit by the fire and didn't want to leave. You do need to book in advance as it is very popular but you will not be disappointed in this little corner of heaven. Hope they never change as it is perfect as it is. One of the best restaurants we have ever visited. Absolutely loved our visit and can't wait to return.

Fab place - been here a few times now and it's never disappointed. Great selection of tapas at a fair price. Staff are always friendly and helpful, and there's a good atmosphere. Lovely outside area too and the large car park is very convenient.
Steve M — Google review
I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment today with some friends, and the experience was truly exceptional. The service provided by the staff was both friendly and attentive. The restaurant's ambiance was clean, trendy, and possessed a rustic charm. The food was exquisite, and the olives were simply divine. The portion sizes were generous, and the pricing was quite reasonable. (£30 is per head including dessert). I certainly plan to return in the future. I would suggest making a reservation beforehand to ensure a table.
Nadia N — Google review
Not sure whether they were just having an off day or not but I believe I have reasonable expectations when it comes to the quality and flavour of food and tonight was a let down compared to a previous visit the year before. It all tasted like frozen food, the prawns inside the filo pastry weren't fully cooked, the calamari was soggy and the jamón balls only had a sprinking of jamón meat inside them. The sardines weren't good quality or properly cooked sardines that you can eat bones and all. The hot sauce that they used for a few dishes tasted like cheap store bought encona sauce, which isn't Spanish and neither is their cheap store bought sangria.
Chéri M — Google review
Really enjoyed the vibe of this restaurant and really pleased they made an effort to include vegan options. Would 100% reccomed the pardon peppers, garlic mushrooms and mixed veg. If in the future they would have some vegan aioli to make the Pattaya’s bravas and bread starter vegan then that would be amazing!
Lydia L — Google review
Really enjoyed eating here. The tapas is authentic and very well priced considering it's quality. Nice selection of beers and wines to accompany. Nice setting, I'm sure the outside area would be perfect for drinks and a bite to eat in the summer. Book to avoid disappointment on busier nights and times of year.
Alex W — Google review
Always love it here. Best tapas we've ever had! Food size portions and tasty food. Felt a bit like we were in Spain, sat outside in the sun!
Lauren G — Google review
Pretty poor experience to be honest… Always loved coming here however the prices have shot up over the last few years. After tonight’s meal celebrating my friends 26th birthday, one of the serving staff has put me off coming here again. Horrible attitude, rude and intrusive whilst we were eating. Even had the audacity to tell me when paying my share of the bill that I wasn’t paying enough even though I was paying in excess of what I actually owed. We were shouted at when food was being brought out, one our friends chicken was undercooked and they didn’t seem very accommodating of someone with an allergy either. Overall, pretty poor experience and won’t be returning. Food was pretty good but service was a different kettle of fish all together. The lady who served us needs her attitude and rude approach towards customers (and staff) sorted out. I wouldn’t be surprised she has had a lot of complaints as it was very apparent that everyone at our table felt the same way.

Cheese lover’s heaven! What more can I say? Brilliant selection of grilled cheese sandwiches, with some really creative varieties. Friendly staff and cool decor too. Filthy place. Running charges on cards months after customers visited (that’s fraud fyi), cakes are heated in microwaves and served boiling hot. Avoid.

You won't find a better place to eat in Newport. It's a little piece of heaven for cheese lovers, not a massive choice of menu. But this is where the old adage of quality and not quantity comes to mind, simple, effective and definitely delicious. The two lovely people (Vern and Emily) who run Holy Cheesus are friendly, polite and always have time to chat with the customers. It's our families favourite place to stop in and get a fix of toasted cheese sandwiches. 10/10

Worth the hype!! The toastie was amazing, got the classic one and wow it was so filling! The interior and vibe is nice, doesn’t even feel like Newport (more a hip and trendy cafe in Bristol) and there’s a cute dog that roams about! If you are in the area then come, one of the best things in Newport

So so good. If you like cheese and cheesy toasties, I think this is the cheesiest restaurant ever. I had the morning glory and the chilli con carnage and they were both delicious (would add sriracha or ketchup to the morning glory) the coffee was also good. A very friendly guy served us. All in all, I would say it’s gloriously cheesy. Would go again.
Z0z0lexxx — Google review
Love the setting and decor very cool but sandwiches were bit underwhelming which was gutting as we are huge fans of anything cheese and and wanting to go here for ages.Thinking the cheese was either mozzarella or mild cheese so really no flavour. We ordered, dirty fries and nachos but they both came out with exactly the same toppings...mainly spring onion, orange and green peppers, a nacho sauce and mayo, very random and again not very cheesy. Shame as we love the concept, and style of this place. Just needs more cheese and flavour. X

Excellent grilled cheese sandwiches. 2 sandwiches and 2 fizzy drinks were about £14. The sandwiches had a ton of cheese! I was full for hours. They have vegan, vegetarian and meat eater cheese sandwiches. They also have pastries (vegan and vegetarian). The staff were lovely and I would visit again. My only complaint is that the cafe was very echoey, which made hearing conversations difficult. Some sound absorbing panels would be good (and you can make them yourself with rockwool insulation and 'acoustically transparent' fabric :-)

We visited Hatti in search of authentic Indian food. My impression is it is Bangladesh and not Indian. Nevertheless the service was good, the portions were very good, and our overall experience was positive. My husband and I ordered lamb Bhunna and garlic chilli Chicken bahar, butter naan and papadams with the Hatti condiment tray. The lamb and chicken were tender but you could tell it was not freshly cooked chicken consistent with most restaurants these days. The sauce was too gelatinous and not enough individual spice flavor. The Naan was okay.

You can book a table online up to 1130. We booked 1030. Staff clearly wanted us out ASAP after we arrived. Asking for our order in the middle of eating poppadoms. Then delivering the bill while we were half way though our main meal. Thats just rude. Vacuuming around us. We finished about 1130. Food was so so. Wanted to try it again after many years when it was inconsistent before.. Chicken over cooked. Generally OK but the shove to get us out wasnt on after we spent nearly £200. Think I'll go back to my trusty Lahore next time. Oh and when have you seen chocolate that old that the butter has risen to the surface? Poor show Hatti. Some advice .. don't employ staff who just want to get their shift done and be home. You're working in the hospitality sector. The clue is in the name. I won't be returning any time soon.

Nestled in a charmingly converted railway station, Junction 28 is a stylish restaurant that beautifully marries modern British cuisine with traditional flavors. The menu features an array of innovative dishes, such as Tempura Sardine Fillets and Rosewater and Lavender Crème Brûlée, ensuring there's something to tantalize every palate. With its spacious dining area reminiscent of vintage train depots, the atmosphere at Junction 28 is warm and inviting—perfect for gatherings with friends or family.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch, and everything was truly exceptional. I have nothing but positive remarks to share, and I was so impressed that I requested a business card to leave a review and share my delightful experience with you all. The service was outstanding. All three courses were remarkable. The prices were quite reasonable. The high standards of service and quality were consistently maintained. We had the pleasure of being served by several staff members, all of whom were wonderful. They were incredibly accommodating and attentive to our needs. If you have any specific requests, they are more than happy to assist. The front-of-house staff made us feel incredibly special and valued as customers. We certainly plan to return. Lastly, and importantly, every course offered excellent value and was incredibly fresh! The portions were generous, with a substantial amount of meat on both our plates. The Yorkshire pudding was exceptional, and the desserts were impressively large! We both left feeling very satisfied! Junction 28 is highly recommended, so if you are considering a visit, I encourage you to do so!

Came here for my mum’s birthday, 5 of us and very very disappointed. Food was awful, bread was dry, sandwiches can make much better at home. Ate begrudgingly as was hungry and wanted to keep atmosphere positive for my mum. Cakes were store bought and stale Have been to junction 28 for the past 20 yrs and this is the worst I have ever had there Would not recommend afternoon tea, absolutely shocking

Slow service - requested condiments with 3 different waiters. Had almost finished our meal when these came. Also forgot our drinks order. Average food, not very adventurous vegetarian options. Desserts worth saving yourself for - the miniature sharing platter was actual size of each dessert, very generous portion. Reasonably priced.

The menu is varied with good sized portions especially for Sunday Lunch. A 10% service charge is automatically added to your bill so be aware of this. If you want a cheap meal then this maybe not the place to go, but check their online menu. Tables are well spaced out with plenty of room between them and the chairs we had were very comfortable.

We have been coming to Junction 28 for over 15 years and will not be going back. The atmosphere has been lacking for a few years now and this is down to the place being large with not enough customers to fill it out. The service is great and staff are friendly and the place is clean but when I go out I like the food to be reasonably priced, tasty and presented well this is where we had a problem. We ate from the set menu, which is what we mostly have done before. There was no free bread, which was a nice touch every other time we had been, you now have to pay £5 for bread. We both had fried Brie to start and it was ok but nothing special. The mains were not great and we both left just under half, which I never do when I’m out! I had steak pie and it was basically soggy puff pastry underneath with a puff pastry top which wasn’t super puffy and the filling was mostly mushroom and a small bit of streak! It came with a massive amount of mashed potatoes and about half a bag of frozen peas all plonked on a plate like my wife had served it up!! Oh and no gravy, they asked me if I wanted gravy a few mins later which I wish I hadn’t accepted as the gravy was so sweet it ruined the meal entirely, I love gravy so I put quite a lot on. My wife had some sort of fish in a pie dish covered with cheese, it was served on a plate with a paper doily on it? What sort of place that serves food that costs as much as the Celtic manor puts paper doily’s on a plate? The white wine was warm £23.50 for warm white wine? We were going to have 3 courses on the set menu but decided we couldn’t stomach any more of the poor food so left after paying £100 for the two courses bread and wine which we could have paid half of that in a pub somewhere. I wish I had some photos but I haven’t It was pub quality at Celtic manor prices.

Went for lunch today as part of my wife's birthday celebrations... The food quality was first class and both courses arrived at our table promptly. Leighton the front of house manager, was very friendly, enthusiastic, attentive and professional; ask him about his watch collection! My wife was presented with a lovely glass of bubbly on the house, which was a nice, touch which I was much appreciated. As blue light card holders, we took advantage of the generous discount off the food bill... Their Sunday lunch sounds great, we will be booking soon. Thanks guys!

We had a truly wonderful Sunday dinner here! The food was delicious – hearty, fresh, and full of flavour. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. What really stood out were the family-friendly touches. The children’s facilities are excellent, with a range of high chairs to suit different ages, which made things so much easier for us as a group. There are also great nappy-changing and potty training facilities, showing real thought and care for families with little ones. All in all, a fantastic family friendly restaurant – we’ll definitely be back!

Fairly good food. Excellent attentive service. The atmosphere is a moderately ok. Decor is dated ,a bit dark inside and carpeted. It was a quite cold in the dining room .No sunshine coming in even though it was sunny outside .It was pretty quiet even though it was a Saturday lunchtime. The food was nice but not exceptional and we did enjoy it. We had the set fixed price menu which was quite good value. The waiting staff were very friendly and attentive.

E mail offer from Las Iguanas for £20 off anything, without any terms & conditions for it's use. We ordered from the Lunchtime Menu of £10 for food with a drink included. The Pulled Beef Burritos we chose had tortilla chips with the meal but we declined those preferring to order Fries @ £4 75. Food didn't take long, it was quiet (we booked for 12 30) & we thoroughly enjoyed our food. Price paid - £4 75 each for the Fries

The chef's brilliance shines through the delicious breakfast and lunch options, which are of high quality and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself exudes a relaxed atmosphere, making you feel like you're in Italy.
This restaurant is my go to place and will continue to recommend to others. The authentic cooking with fresh produce and atmosphere is what makes this place so welcoming and enjoyable. A family business that cares about its customers! Last night we enjoyed one of their delicious pizza nights, before our food was even at the table I booked breakfast for the morning. As usual and as we have come to expect the food was perfect!! I urge others to come here and dine in future.

Visited today (a random Tuesday in July) with a friend, and our children aged 6 & 7, for brunch during a visit to the Roman Legion Museum, having seen the previous positive reviews of this place. We ordered a variety of breakfast/brunch dishes, including some from the Specials, and we're not disappointed by what we were served - fantastic. We also each had ice-cream for dessert, with a good variety of flavours on offer - the cake/brownie/tiffin/etc. selection also looked amazing. The staff were all friendly and attentive - the service throughout our visit was great. Would 100% recommend, and would revisit if in the area again - maybe even for one of their pizza nights

The best restaurant in Caerleon, definitely pipping the Priory in terms of service and attentiveness. We’ve been for the amazing pizzas and the occasional breakfast, but it’s become a bit of a tradition to pop along for lunch on birthdays. The team here are so lovely and attentive, especially making us feel welcome with our noisy messy kids! The chicken burger is amazing, the cakes are really good too! The also make a proper good Aperol Spritz. Please don’t be put off by its modest exterior, it’s coziness and wonderful service really make it worth the visit. Thanks for being brilliant!

Best curry house in Newport. Food is delicious, cooked fresh and great flavour. All the staff are so helpful and on the ball. Service is excellent. There were 11 of us in total and not a single thing wrong with any of our meals. Thank you again for a great meal!

My favourite! You can really taste the difference between a ‘usual Indian takeaway’ and Shoboraj. Much more authentic, you can taste the depth of ingredients and the texture is perfect. Always great service and quick to accommodate.

Staying away In Newport for work and came across this restaurant as it was close by. Where do I start? The food was incredible from start to finish. The lamb chops were tender and flavoursome accompanied with a salad and yoghurt sauce packed with flavour. Then the main..a dish recommended by the host to suit my preference something that packs a punch but isn’t too hot…and oh lord did they deliver. Absolutely unreal Indian food that leaves you full..happy..and wanting more. Side note..one of the best if not the best naan bread I’ve ever eaten. The only downside is that I don’t live here so I can’t come back every single weekend.

This is an absolute shining gem of Newport dining. Every single dish was great, even the sundries were special and delicious. I'm surprised we could just walk in on a Thu eve and didn't need a booking with the food quality. The staff was amazing too, you can really tell they like this place and are proud of the food they serve. This was a spontaneous dinner out a few weeks ago. Came here after a long break from curry being discouraged by previous questionable food experiences in Newport. It's not just curry but other top rated restaurants that are quite disappointing. People here settle for questionable quality of food as they have no other options... please people stop settling for bad food and give feedback so establishments have a chance to improve. Sayings that Shoboraj you're doing a great job and keep going at this level <3

If you're yearning for a taste of Spain but can't make it there this summer, New Olé is the perfect escape. This charming eatery offers an array of authentic Spanish dishes that will transport your taste buds straight to the Mediterranean. Indulge in their delectable paella, savory Iberico ham croquettes, and delightful churros—all complemented by refreshing sangria on tap. Guests rave about the generous portions and vibrant flavors that define each dish, with many returning for seconds!
We finished our 10 week U3A Spanish Beginners class with a meal at New Olé. We left Cardiff Road, in Newport, and stepped into an oasis of Spain. Sitting on a terrace at the rear of the restaurant. We had a delicious three course tapas selection, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Very generous portions. Too much to eat and we all left with doggie bags. Anton, the chef/owner, is from Galicia in Northern Spain and he spent time with us to teach us about his homeland. We spoke in Spanish and even learnt a little Gallego, the language of Galicia. As we left, it was like saying goodbye to old friends. We were made so welcome by Anton and Fay. We will all be returning again individually and hopefully together as a group at Christmas. A highly recommended restaurant.

We really enjoyed our first visit to New Ole. We had the recommended 3 tapas and one main between 2. Garlic prawns, New Ole salad, chicken paella, and pork shoulder which came with chips. All really delicious, couldn't fault it. We'll be back to sample more of the menu!

Felt like a hidden gem, as we'd walked past many times without noticing this place. Service and atmosphere were spot on for a romantic meal out. Our particular pick of tapas dishes worked out a bit carb-heavy, so if I get to visit again I'd probably make sure to get more of the meat/fish dishes. Other than that the food was lovely. A particular highlight was desert, for which we had the special of the day, an absolutely delicious cheescake.

Had a great experience here - a modern food hall with plenty of quality vendors. It’s easy to order via the QR code system then food is delivered to the table by friendly staff. We ordered food from three different places and all the food was good. The Burger Boyz smash burger stood out as excellent, as well as the tasty donuts. Only negative is that tables weren’t clearly very well, so previous customers’ leftover food and dirty dishes were left hanging around
Seiriol D — Google review
Really nice place to sit and while away a few hours in good company. Table service, loads of food choices and a decent selection of drinks. A very good place to go if you have a group of people all wanting something different to eat.
Kevin K — Google review
I came here in December for food with work colleagues and this was the first time I have not been here since the market was closed, refurbished, and then reopened. When we entered it was remarkably busy, but there was ample seating still available. There was also ample space between tables for wheelchair users. The space did not feel overcrowded or cramped, however, the openness of the space did make the area did have a lot of echoes which meant the acoustics were poor and in turn made conversation difficult. The decor was cool, it was all clean, sleek, and modern with an urban feel. I was really looking forwards to this experience, and that is where my enthusiasm ended. If you do not have a smart phone or are not tech savvy, then do not bother coming here. The ordering process will require you to connect to the WiFi, I had issues connecting to the WiFi as did several of my colleagues, if you succeed with the WiFi, you then need to scan the QR code that is found on each table. When we did successful connect to the WiFi, we faced further issues as the app crashed for some colleagues and simply froze for others, so the process had to be restarted. I went up to one of the vendors counters and enquired if I could pay with cash and was informed that transactions are only taken by card payment, and it is not possible to place an order at any of the counters, all orders are via the table QR codes. When our orders were placed, we then discovered that there is a delivery fee for the order to be delivered from the vendor to the table. This distance varies from a few feet to several meters, depending on where you are seated. I asked if I could collect my order myself and return to the table and was informed that my order had to be delivered to the table. There is no way of not being charged the delivery fee, the delivery fee varies in cost depending on which vendor you order from. I liked the concept of this new modern food court that is a fantastic idea for independent traders, a central social space for friends to meet, colleagues to meet at or even to work from. However, the delivery of this concept is poorly delivered for a reasons! 1) Not everyone is tech savvy and are not able to navigate QR codes and WiFi. 2) Only allowing customers to pay by card transaction is restrictive as a lot of people still very much prefer to pay with cash. 3) There is no central order point available like in other fast-food outlets where there are screens to use if you do not have a phone, if your phone will not connect to the WiFi or had turned off due to low battery. Being a disabled (Hearing Impaired) customer, I found the acoustics here really hard to deal with due to it being so busy, if I were to return, I would do so at a quieter time. The toilet is accessed by obtaining a code from the staff to unlock the toilet door, the toilets were exceptionally clean and did not smell like old pub toilets. The floor staff delivering the orders were polite, friendly, and attentive to the customers. I have reviewed the vendor I ordered from, Bab Haus Mex, separately.

Went here with family yesterday. We ordered some Greek and italian food. For the price we were expecting good quality food but we were extremely disappointed. The bolognese sauce was inedible. The waitress dropped some of our food on the floor in front of us before she served it, and the sauce with the pasta was sickening. Would not recommend. Overpriced and i would not recommend.

On a bustling Friday night at Newport Market, securing a table was easy, and the swift service, coupled with prompt table cleaning, contributed to a seamless dining experience. I ordered the Kashmiri Chilli Honey Combo at Masala Craft which proved to be a fantastic choice; the generous portion size and amazing chicken wings and onion bhajis left a lasting impression for days. The cleanliness of the toilets, accessible with a customer code, reflected a commitment to hygiene and security. The modern decor showcased the market's positive transformation from what it once was. Overall, offering great value for money in a vibrant atmosphere. Will 100% be back!

We stopped for a late lunch at this lovely pub on the road between Cardiff and Newtown. Went on a friend’s recommendation. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and we had a table booked for 13:00. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t served until 14:10 without any sorry for any delay or mention long wait when ordering . When it arrived, the roast potatoes were barely cooked and the meat was cold. The lamb had a nice flavour, but the beef was almost tasteless. I would have sent the food back if the wait hadn’t already been so long.

Blaina Wharf is a laid-back pub with an inviting outdoor seating area where you can enjoy classic comfort food such as fish and chips, burgers, and roast meats. Additionally, they offer the option to rent a desk for the day at a reasonable price, which includes unlimited tea, coffee, and soup. Customers have praised the friendly staff and the delicious food options available. The carvery is particularly popular for its quality and affordability.

I haven't been here for a while. This time I was with my family. It's my first time to order their mixed grill. I felt so hungry even on the way here. When the food was served it looked nice. In my surprise it didn't come in with a sauce or gravy. I was so disappointed. How am I going to eat the grilled meat? Anyways, asked but apparently this meal DOES NOT have sauce or gravy to go with it..... asked for gravy from the carvery - gravy was so thick like glue. The sausages tasted bitter as quite burnt. And no member of the staff came back to check on how the food was or if there's anything else we'd liked to order. Had to ask for cutlery and tissue as there's none on our table unlike the other tables. The place is clean I guess to some extent. Will not come back anytime soon to try other food or maybe never.

The staff are very nice. We ordered the scampi, gammon, fish & chips, carvery and cowboy burger. Everything was served hot and timely. The scampi reminded me of tater tots, they are small popcorn size shrimp in a puff of batter. The fish was flavorful but very thin. The burger came with two patties and tasted very good. The gammon was good. The carvery is okay, you can all you want vegetables but not the meat. I found the meat was cut wafer thin and would have preferred a thicker cut. The gravy was thin and the Yorkshire pudding was a little tough. Everyone enjoyed their meal and it’s a very nice atmosphere. You can sit inside or out.

Abysmal Service here, System errors long waiting times for food absolutely shocking place I do not recommend. ( Short staffed ) Burned food etc. Long times waiting for Service, Also to mention Prices for food and Soft and Alcoholic drinks are pricey.

Called into Blaina Wharf for lunch today, as we often do on Saturdays. The food is consistently excellent, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at ease. Nikki took care of all our needs today, ensuring our drinks were topped up and checking everything met our satisfaction. Her friendly demeanor and willingness to go above and beyond, especially considering my husband's limited mobility, truly make her an asset to the team. Thank you, Nikki!

2nd time the roast meal has been cold and over cooked and rubbery. Gammon was exceptionally salty. Couldn't eat much so not going to bother going again. The standard has definitely dropped this last 12 months. So sad 😔

If you're looking for a family-friendly dining experience, Harvester Borderer Newport is an excellent choice. This casual chain restaurant specializes in grilled meats, fresh salads, pasta, and seafood—perfect for satisfying diverse tastes. While some guests have noted that prices have increased recently, the welcoming atmosphere and attentive service make it worth a visit. During my recent meal there, I was impressed by the professionalism of the staff; they were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu options.
Had breakfast at Harvester and it was a great experience. We arrived late but the staff were happy to serve us and couldn’t have been more friendly. Breakfast was cooked well, generous portions, and exactly what we needed. Left full and happy. There are signs about parking and plenty of spaces, but the staff reminded us to register our number plate, so it’s worth making sure you do that to avoid any issues.

I wanted to share some feedback following a recent visit to one of your restaurants. Firstly, I want to stress that this is no reflection on the staff or the venue itself – both were absolutely lovely. Claire, in particular, was very welcoming and helpful, and the food itself was cooked beautifully, so full credit to the team on site. My concern is purely around portion sizes compared to the prices on the main menu. We visited on Chicken Tuesday (£8) and had a discount code, which made it reasonable on this occasion. However, without that, I don’t think we would return at full price. For example, the chicken skewer meal is £15.99 on the standard menu, yet what you receive is one skewer with four small pieces of chicken, a portion of chips, and coleslaw from the salad bar. The menu photo shows a sauce, but none came with the meal. The restaurant was almost empty during our visit, and with prices like this, it’s understandable. I appreciate that costs have risen, but £15.99 for such a small portion feels very difficult to justify, especially for families. I genuinely feel this is something that needs to be reviewed, as I’ve noticed similar issues elsewhere, and it seems to be affecting customer return rates. We love the team and the food quality, but unless there’s a discount, the current pricing just doesn’t feel sustainable for what you get. I hope this feedback helps, as it would be a shame to stop visiting altogether.

We took our family to The Harvester for an end of school holidays treat and we were extremely impressed by the service and hospitality we were given. We were a party of 6 incl 3 children and we were served by Jenny who was fabulous! She couldn’t have been more helpful and professional and she was unfailingly polite and friendly. She helped us navigate the choices and patiently explained all the options. The food was also great- everyone enjoyed their meals and all in all it was a great experience and something we will definitely return to do again.

We visited this evening to celebrate my friends birthday. Our server Clare was amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure our meal was perfect. I'd asked for the chocolate and Strawberry pot dessert but they were out of Strawberries so she asked I'd like a banana instead, it was delicious! She was so friendly and her banter made our evening. Shes definitely an asset to your company. We'll definitely be visiting again.

We went out for a meal for no occasion just an after a week at work treat. We picked the harvester as it always delivers. We were welcomed in and Amy was our server and she was great. Happy, efficient and knowledgeable. Fantastic service with a smile! We often have good service here which is why we return and I have to say, Amy is an asset to the team! Will definitely be back x

Clare was absolutely amazing the entire meal! Really made me feel safe with my variety of food allergies and not rushed or made to feel like a bother. Food was delicious and plentiful. Pencoed was always the favourite Harvester but I think I will have to change it to Newport. Thank you for a wonderful time.

It was.. an okay experience. It felt very rushed. Didn’t have the good vibe as you would expect. But overall food was good!

I have attended this eatery on several occasions and I have always found the staff to offer a friendly customer service, a great welcome and guidance for me as a customer with eating allergies. I'm always offered the care of guidance of their menus and ingredients and my details are relayed then on the inhouse tablet screens. The chefs are then alerted to my requirements and always go the extra mile to assure me that this is met. Yet again tonight's visit was exceptionally helpful and the chef Les as always took a few minutes to speak with me. As he spoke with me, to offer reassuring support to make sure my food was correct. It was and very tasty too. I fully appreciate his care within my food preparation and customer care within my allergies. I highly recommend this venue and that customers are in great hands with their allergies too.

Nestled in Newport, the "Man of Gwent" is a charming traditional British pub that perfectly blends a cozy atmosphere with an exciting sports viewing experience. The menu boasts an array of grills and global comfort food, making it a delightful spot for any palate. On my visit, I was thrilled to discover their Sunday roast offerings, particularly the traditional beef served with Yorkshire pudding—truly one of the best I've had in years!
Excellent food, great service, and being dog friendly makes this pub a great place to visit. I had an XL mixed grill and the Mrs had something else (we can't remember 😂). Both were absolutely delicious. The Lilly Cider is also a lovely tipple. Wish this place was closer to home. Well worth the visit.

Today we were looking for somewhere to eat. Put in pubs and google show this pub. We arrived to find a quaint little pub, sat down and on the menu was Sunday roast section, I saw traditional beef with Yorkshire pud. It's been awhile since I had a good one in a pub. I must say the best ever Yorkshire pud I've had in years. The whole meal was delicious, the beef melted in your mouth , crispy potatoes. Services was on point, friendly ,helpful. History of the area on the walls aswell, which visiting from Australia we found interesting.

We stopped here on our way to Cardiff. Nice place, good choices of food with reasonable price. Tried their burgers and wings. Watch out hot sauce for the wings was way hot!
Matt B — Google review
The pub was filled with friendly regulars and friendly staff. Dogs are allowed inside and they even give out blankets and treats for them whilst they are visiting, which is a very considerate thing to do. The pub atmosphere was great, it was family friendly and felt safe. Lots of TVs showing sky sports. There is a dedicated dog area where you can sit and eat/drink inside. The food took a while to arrive, but it was very busy. Only downside for me, was I asked for my steak medium rare and it was well done, so was a bit tough to eat. My partner also asked for medium and it came out well done. done. I would definitely visit this pub again. * toilets were clean * small car parking lot and on street parking. * EV charger bays * outside seating * inside seating with specific area for dogs to sit with you * dogs welcome * suitable for children of all ages

We will highly recommend this pub to everyone. Thank you very much.

The food itself was very tasty. The bar staff were lovely. However, what was a meal in celebration for family birthday and beating cancer was ruined by a member of staff coming over a few times to tell us we only had the table until 7pm. Our dessert was served twenty minutes before 7pm. I felt rushed. The tables are very close together and there was no air. The noise of chatter was too much and my sister felt unwell half way through the meal.

If you're not coming here for a spot of the steak and ale im not sure youre right in the head. For the money that pie isnt one to miss. Ignore any bad reviews on here... This place is amazing. We visited tonight for valentines and amazing would be an understatement. The restaurant was packed and the waitresses and waiters had a lot of work to do and they were still so attentive and happy. The food was fantastic. Very homely and comforting. Nice, cosy place. Food was excellent and staff were very passionate and friendly, especially the Italian waiter that took our order (unfortunately didn’t get his name). Restaurant is a decent size, only bugbears were the parking situation was a bit chaotic and the live singer was good but there were about 4 or 5 different happy birthdays sung and it started to feel a bit like Frankie & Benny’s! Overall experience was good though and there was a great variety on both the food and drink’s menus.

Nestled in the charming setting of the former Old Rising Sun pub on Lyne Road, Vanilla Spice has been delighting diners since its opening in 2013. After a year of living nearby, I finally decided to experience this gem and was thoroughly impressed. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with exceptional service and a lush decor that sets a welcoming tone. The restaurant boasts sparkling clean facilities and beautifully presented dishes that taste as good as they look.
My partner and I came here for New Years yesterday. Our taxis didn't show so we were fifteen minutes late. Thankfully they were running late too, and very accommodating. I ordered a lamb tikka naga jalfrezi, but this ended up being the standard jalfrezi and the lamb was tough. When I let them know they were very apologetic and brought me a replacement of chicken naga jalfrezi and another special rice. This was absolutely stunning. My partner ordered a lamb tikka biryani and he said it was delicious. He also enjoyed the meat samosa to start. Service was a little slow to take our order, however it was very busy with both sitting in and take aways so completely understandable. It's super modern, we had these super plush seats which were so comfortable. I wouldn't normally rate so high with any issues, but I couldn't fault how they handled it and the second curry including replacing the rice. 100% recommend!

My partner and I have always ordered takeaways from Vanilla Spice but never sat in, however we made an impromptu visit on our way back from Cardiff last night with my sister and was pleasantly surprised at how lovely our evening was there. The restaurant is immaculately presented, you would never think it was in the middle of Newport and the atmosphere was lovely. The service we experienced was also 10/10 with lots of friendly and attentive staff. Finally, the food was even better than when we get it delivered, it came well presented and was absolutely delicious. I would recommend to anyone. Thank you for such a lovely evening !

📍Vanilla Spice Newport X Roar Beer Last week we went to Vanilla Spice in Newport for some premium Indian cuisine. We started with a pint of Roar beer, a premium vegan lager, which works perfectly with any food with a touch of spice. After some chicken pakoras and vegetable samosas we were ready for mains. First was the Vanilla spice mixed grill, an absolute meat feast including chicken, lamb, kebab and king prawns. Then chicken korma with rice and naan bread. For incredible food and refreshing beer, check them out. Thanks for having us! [INVITE] Full review on socials: @thefemalephysicist

A beautiful restaurant just off the M-way with on site parking. Staff are very polite and attentive. For someone who’s used to culturally having great Bangladeshi food at home and at other locations, It’s hard to compliment south Asian restaurants. Vanilla Spice exceeded my expectations and has won my heart! They recommended dishes to me and my friend’s based on our likings and every dish hit the spot. The atmosphere and decor was just as stunning as its tasty food! Can’t wait to come back with my family!

Spice, Spice Baby! Wow! Amazing food with great service. I love my spices and Vanilla Spice got it just right. And the beer was great too. Roar which is a local craft lager was great. Definitely brightened up a dismal wet night in Newport.

Great atmosphere, food was good but service was awful & lacking. Arrived @ 07:30 with six of us (booked a week prior). Table was not ready and was asked to sit and wait. A table of 2 had walked in after us and seated before us. We were taken to our table and left for 15-20 minutes until a waiter asked for our drinks orders. When the female waitress then came to our table to take our order, I felt like we had made her upset. She seemed annoyed taking our orders - huffing and was rushing us. Food was good, hot and tasted fine. But again we were left to call down a waiter for additional drinks and our final bill. Not sure if waiters have set sections to tend more to tables but doesn’t seem the case.

Food was delicious. Arrived fairly quickly and hot. The service staff were friendly but seemed overwhelmed. You order via a qr code at the table which is convenient I suppose but means you have little to no interaction with the service staff. So I find it quite cheeky that the order asks if you want to add on a tip. The ordering style really effects the atmosphere when ordering as a group too. It's quite segregating. I can't imagine how difficult it is for the chefs to see 8 separate orders come in for the same table and manage to get the food out at the same time. The decor is similar to all other lounges, funky and warm. This lounge could do with a deep clean. Tables were sticky, sofas stained and chairs in need of a wipe. There was also no toilet paper in the ladies for most of the evening despite several customers asking. We were here for the weekly quiz and still thoroughly enjoyed.

We've had many deliveries from Curry on the Curve and loved the food so much, we decided to book onto a cooking course with them. If you're looking to create some healthy versions of your favourite curry dishes at home, this course is the one! Numbers are kept very small so you really have the chance to get involved, while gaining so much insight into how the dishes are created, detailed information about ingredients including tips on where to get them from and, of course, sitting down at the end to enjoy the dishes you helped to create. Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and the food was (as always) delicious! This place really is a gem and one of our faves - we look forward to eating there again soon and in the meantime, cooking their amazing recipes at home!

We use Curry On The Curve on many occasions, both eating in and order out. This is one of the best curry houses I've ever used. I've seen a couple of reviews on this site saying that the taste was bland and can say that in my experience, this is nothing like the case. We've not had one bad meal, they have always been excellent. Hoping to attend a cookery session this year to learn how they create such a good meal.

Ordered online using the restaurant app to pick up, not only did I have a discount from their Facebook page but the process was quick and easy. Food was ready on time, hot, good sized portions and most importantly delicious! Very much enjoyed our meal! Look forward to when you open up for indoors dining so we can have a proper date night 🙂

I absolutely love this place. Beautiful food and friendly staff. Chef is very friendly to talk to and will customise dishes for you. From having various conversations with the chef, I can tell that he is very passionate about his dishes as well as health, hygiene and local authority guidelines. I have both eaten in the restaurant and ordered delivered take away many times and have always had brilliant service. Highly recommended!

Fresh and authentic Indian food, polite and pleasant staff and owners. Good choice mixed with British expectations of what Indian food is. The onion bhaji had such a flavour, to them you won't find in the superstores. Also available for private hire, perfect for the office Christmas party or fundraiser. Also offers authentic Indian cooking classes

Incredible taste experience. The food from Curry on the Curve is clearly cooked from scratch with quality ingredients. The results are some amazing flavor combinations in some of the best curries i have tasted. Click and collect system works very well and is highly recommended.

The Celtic Manor Resort is a luxurious destination offering elegant rooms, complimentary Wi-Fi, and upscale dining options. With three golf courses and a spa, it's perfect for a relaxing getaway. Guests can enjoy various activities suitable for both adults and children, including complimentary swimming sessions. The resort's picturesque surroundings add to its allure, making it an ideal retreat. Despite some minor issues like room heating problems and unexpected parking fees, the overall experience is delightful with spacious rooms and excellent service.
We stayed here for one night, and we really enjoyed it. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely, clean and spacious and had lots of amenities. The spa and pool facilities were fantastic. I felt very relaxed and rejuvenated. The shuttle bus runs frequently and picks you up from the main entrance, and it takes you to the restaurant and Dylan’s Health Club. The buffet breakfast was lovely, and there was a lot of selection. The food at the restaurant was amazing. You have to pay for parking before you leave the resort. This is such a lovely hotel, and there are plenty of activities to do. The grounds are beautiful. I had a really relaxing time here. I’d highly recommend staying at this resort.

Generally a lovely resort and a positive experience, but most definitely there are areas that can be improved considering it’s a 5 star resort. The staff are accommodating when it is possible, and allowed earlier check in. Love the concierge shuttle buses to golf academy. Location was great, but as with all other reviews overnight parking was not reasonable, I did expect the to pay the parking charge but could be either free or reduced rate for customers staying overnight. Pool was good, good booking process and friendly staff at reception, pool and activities area. Pool set up was great with steam and sauna. Some of the activities are overpriced. However the instructors were friendly and customer focused. I like the activity area with some complimentary games for guests to-keep kids entertained. We had breakfast, good buffet selection and friendly and attentive staff. The areas that be improved are; Provide bottles of water in rooms, small things go a long way. Snacks and drinks are very expensive, a small bottle of water for £3.10, a small bottle of soft drink at £3.50. Incredibly pricey. Remove the guest over night parking or offer reduced rates for guests.

Room was spacious, nice and clean. Bed comfy. Spa massage was OK. Jacuzzi/steam room/sauna good. Swimming pool huge. Starter & main at The Grill were nice. Pudding awful! Good breakfast with everything you could want. Had to wait over 4 hours to get water in the room! Shower flooded the bathroom.

We recently stayed at the Celtic Manor in Newport with a group of friends to celebrate a ruby wedding anniversary. As regular guests, we usually choose the Signature rooms on the sixth floor for their added comfort and attention to detail. On this occasion, however, we felt that some of the finer touches we’ve come to expect from a five-star experience were missing. Items such as pens and notepads, in-room brochures with restaurant times, and activity information were noticeably absent. While not critical, these small details do enhance the overall guest experience and are usually standard in a hotel of this calibre. Additionally, we felt that the service from some members of the waiting staff could have been warmer. A welcoming attitude and a smile go a long way in making guests feel appreciated. That said, the setting remains beautiful, and we always enjoy our time at the resort. We hope to see these small touches return on our next visit.
Tush T — Google review
I recently stayed at this hotel and, while the property itself has great potential, my overall experience was quite disappointing. To start with, every morning started with a queue for breakfast, if you didn’t turn up before 8:30, often more than five minutes just to be seated. For a five-star establishment, this shouldn’t be the case. On top of that, a service charge is automatically added to bills at the bar and restaurant without asking, which wouldn’t be such a problem if the service matched the price – unfortunately, it really doesn’t. The staircases are not well maintained, as shown in the photos. It seems that since most people use the lift, little effort has been made to keep them in good condition. The facilities look impressive at first glance, with a pool, spa and a variety of activities such as laser combat, archery, golf, and high ropes. However, access is limited and unnecessarily restricted. For example, the pool can only be used twice per stay in 45-minute slots, and needs to be booked in advance. As for the activities, they all come with an extra charge, even for hotel guests staying a week or longer. This constant sense of being charged for every little thing makes the experience feel less premium and more like being squeezed for every penny. To be fair, the buildings, grounds, and equipment are well-kept – you can see the effort put into the facilities. But it’s let down by the poor service, restrictive policies, and additional fees. Even parking isn’t included, adding another £20 a night to your bill. It’s a real shame because this could be a truly excellent five-star resort if the management improved the guest experience and focused on value rather than add-ons. As it stands, I’d rate it around 3 to 4 stars at best.

Brilliant! We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at the Celtic Manor. Staying in a family room with balcony we were very comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The balcony and patio doors enabled a good flow of fresh air into the room, something lacking in most hotels. The staff were amazing from start to finish. Thank You to the friendly concierge who helped us with accessible shuttles for my daughters wheelchair. The lovely smiling faces on the reception and in the restaurants were very welcoming too. The grounds are very well kept, no small feat considering the size of the place. There's plenty to keep the kids busy too, with playgrounds, pools, archery, treetop adventure, woodland walks etc. We will definitely return soon. Thank You all for a lovely little break.

Had an amazing time at The Celtic Resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and made everything feel effortless. The resort itself is absolutely stunning – beautifully maintained grounds, top-notch spa facilities, and some incredible views. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, with everything we needed. We especially loved the food – plenty of choice and everything was delicious. Whether you're here for golf, a spa weekend, or just to relax, this place ticks all the boxes. Highly recommend it!

We had an absolutely phenomenal three day stay here. The hotel is super luxurious and has everything you need. Large clean room, clean pool facilities which included a separate sauna and steam room for women which was a lovely bonus. The included breakfast was lovely, we upgraded to a signature suite which I would definitely recommend. The staff were all friendly and lovely, a few blips trying to check in but was quickly rectified. If you are staying for an event in the convention centre next door would definitely recommend.

Very attentive staff, lovely clean and welcoming restaurant. Food was timely and was delicious! Best curry I've had in my lifetime! Little touches such as the poppadom with dips, hot towels, chocolate mints (and lollipops for the kids) with the bill, what more could you ask for? Drinks were bottled so not watered down on tap stuff that you find elsewhere. Everything was on point and all staff were dressed in formal service attire which was nice. Very impressed, and this topped our day out in Wales.

We arrived late in the evening to very welcoming faces. Seated by friendly staff and then served really delicious food. Curries that tasted authentic and fresh, with fresh herbs and spices. Not something you see very often these days! The service was exceptional. I really recommend this place!
Dale E — Google review
First of all the look of the place is really exquisite, old wood panelling mixed with a modern flare really creates something unique and special. The service is very friendly and helpful, they told me that they had been around for 30 years and are one of the only businesses left that made it through COVID in that little street. That filled me with confidence, I got take away chicken bhuna and taka dhal and they threw in some poppadoms. I ate these on the way home as it was a 20 minute walk to where I'm staying unfortunately these were overcooked and not great and I started to worry about the quality of my meal. I'm not joking that it was such a good tasting curry I can forgive the poppadoms this time and still give the food 5 stars. Rich aromas and flavours with a decent kick and packed out with chicken, I will have the dhal for lunch today. Will I go again probably tonight after work lol

First, authentic Indian cuisine is my absolute most favorite food! Wherever I go in the world I seek it out. Having partially grown up in Wales and visiting it again now, I truly miss the Indian restaurants that were here 20-30+ years ago. Those were the restaurants where you had fresh chicken and lamb, sauces where you could taste and see whole spices like bay leaf, cinnamon, cumin, green chilis, cloves and cardamoms. This restaurant has none of that authenticity of true Indian cuisine. We ordered chicken tikka masala(very thick fruity red sauce) and chicken bhunna. We wanted a lamb bhunna but they said we couldn’t as the only lamb dish was lamb tikka. The chicken bhunna was frozen chicken, no fresh Indian spices, and oily and sweet. The chicken tikka masala was super thick, very red, no detectable spices, and frozen chicken. The Naan bread was more like an over cooked cracker and hard. The pilau rice was very colorful but lacked any aromatic qualities and no spice at all. the lamb samosas were frozen packets of fried meat. I was underwhelmed and very disappointed. You have to buy the poppadoms and chutneys. Lastly, they do not serve any alcoholic beverages but you can BYOB.

Wagamama Newport, located in Usk Plaza at Friars Walk, is a casual dining spot that beautifully blends Asian cuisine with a Japanese-inspired ambiance. The restaurant features long communal benches, creating a welcoming atmosphere for diners to enjoy their meals together. While the food is delightful and offers an extensive menu catering to both vegan and non-vegan preferences, some guests have noted that dishes may not always arrive simultaneously.
A special treat! We haven't been out for a meal in such a long time and what a great meal it was. The staff were friendly and the food was great! The only wrong I found was how long it took for drinks to come to us. But it was very busy at the time. Highly recommended!

"Bungee Gum has the properties of both rubber and gum", had been mentioned several times throughout Hunter x Hunter. It is almost uncomfortable if it was not mentioned by a character named Hisoka. This level of comfort is what I expect from Wagamama and they nail it, it's not surprising but you expect it when you get there. Like Bambi's mum dying, "oh wow, there it is, she's dead..." just predictable. Nothing wrong with it, just predictable great service and comfort safe food in my opinion.

The good: Food is super nice and very well cooked, drinks are great too. Easy to pay. The environment is good for everyone (couples, families, solo, etc...) The bad: Food is not coming at the same time, so sometimes some people are waiting (last time I waited almost 20 min for my food while everyone else was almost finished). The rest: Ordering can be complicated with their new menu. The prices are not the cheapest of the area. I love this restaurant, it's a treat to go from time to time.

The Stone House is a charming pub and restaurant that offers a delightful blend of classic British cuisine, including the beloved Sunday roast. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a warm atmosphere filled with cheerful chatter and an inviting decor that makes for a relaxing dining experience. The service may have been slightly slow at times due to staffing levels, but the courteous and knowledgeable staff ensure that food arrives promptly and piping hot.
Haven't called in here for years, but were pleasantly surprised. We know it's a cheaper place to eat so weren't expecting much, but we both thoroughly enjoyed our food. Portions excellent (other half couldn't finish his). If anything could be improved, I would say the tables could have been cleared quicker, we got the impression that if we hadn't have ordered a dessert, the mains plates would still have been there when we left.

Me & my husband just came for a meal for the 1st time in a while and ordered the 3 starters for £13.50 and 2 mains, the starters came out quickly which was nice, unfortunately a few minutes later so did the mains. We had only just started the starter and felt pressured to eat it quickly or leave it due to the main getting cold. Surely the best thing to do is wait for the starter dishes to return to the kitchen and allow your customers to digest their food, it's called a starter for a reason! On a positive note the food was very nice albeit a limited menu. We booked the table for an hour and half and within 30 min of arriving we are done.

What a lovely establishment. Warm and friendly atmosphere, my children love eating at the Stonehouse. I usually get the skillet meals which are fresh, hot and out on time. Wonderful staff, smiling, helpful and accommodating. Dani especially has great people skills, helpful and friendly, lovely to my children. She always has the biggest smile,if she is there when we go in, which shows how much she enjoys her job. I think this makes a big difference to your overall experience as a customer. We have been in small groups and large birthday groups, every time, the food and service is great. I will always pick the Stonehouse to eat out with my family.

Have been going there for years. Usually excellent. Went there today, fish and chips were terrible, my wife had to ask the waiter when our meal was coming, it took that long. Wonderful place to stop for beautiful food and drinks. Staff were so friendly and efficient, and the main plus was that we could go in with our elderly dog, who was treated to some chicken. Lovely atmosphere and everything spotless. We would definitely go in again on our next visit to Caerleon.

We have been going here regularly for two years. Always 3/4 of us. We have enjoyed it’s relaxed atmosphere till yesterday. We never stay long once we have eaten as my cousin has to return to work. After we had finished eating and drinking. We were all but finished. When we were not very politely asked to leave as we were over the new 90minute rule. We were not informed about this rule. There were no signs up!! And the waitress was not discreet!! There were several empty tables so we weren’t holding anyone up. My cousin was there again today as she had already made arrangements. And again asked to leave after just ordering more drinks!!!! YOU CANNOT ENJOY A MEAL KNOWING YOU WILL BE EVICTED. WE SHALL NOT RETURN. THERE ARE PLENTY MORE PLACES TO EAT!!

Popadoms, located on High Street in Newport city center, has been a popular choice for over 15 years. The family-run Indian restaurant and takeaway is highly recommended by many patrons. Customers praise the delicious food, excellent service, and accommodating staff. The menu offers vegetarian and vegan options, catering to various dietary needs. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, visitors have enjoyed the authentic and flavorful dishes at Popadoms.
Had a curry from Popadoms, and it was incredible! The flavors were rich and perfectly spiced, and everything tasted so fresh. The portion was just right, and the food arrived hot and full of flavor. The service was spot on too—friendly and quick. Honestly, one of the best curries I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to order again!

Ordered for delivery, order was meant to arrive between 20:10 and 20:30. I called the restaurant three times to enquire as to where our order was. On each occasion we were lied to and told our order would be leaving the restaurant in 10minutes. The order didn’t arrive until 21:30 and was virtually tasteless. The customer service was appalling, the final person I spoke to hung up on me. The poppadoms were burnt, the rice was soggy and the balti and garlic chicken didn’t taste nice at all. The only saving grace was the chapati which was nice. We were so hungry by the time the order arrived that we had to eat it despite the taste. We will certainly never be ordering from here again and recommend others to avoid to.

Brilliant takeaway deals and consistently good food. Quite quick from ordering to collection. This is now our regular Indian. Have eaten in the restaurant before and it was good but a little lacking in atmosphere at the time we went. Probably because it was earlier and a bit quiet. However, service and food were excellent. The restaurant menu also specified vegetarian and vegan options. Your server can also help with this or other requirements. Be aware the restaurant is upstairs with quite a few steps.

Onion bhajis - ordered one portion but got 4 pieces (assuming they gave extra). They were OK and we managed to finish most of them because of the mint sauce. My advice here would be to flatten them a little so the inside cooks (it'll probably cook faster, too). However, we did find them a little too greasy and lacking flavour. Nans - edges were a bit thick, but the spread of the filling throughout wasn't bad. Again, just lacking flavour. Keema needed more spice, and peshwari needed a little more sweetness. Dansak - this was actually really bad. It was more a curry with lentils thrown in. Not the curry it's meant to be, i.e. hot, sweet, and sour. The chicken tikka, however, seemed fresh and soft. Big let down and once again, just lacking flavour. Overall; we spent a decent amount expecting better but just didn't get close to the mark. Can't say if I'd order again (I have tried the wraps in the past and they were nice) or even recommend to be honest. Note: they did throw in a container of pilau rice, but we were too full to even open it. Appreciate the gesture.

Nestled within The Coldra Court Hotel, just a stone's throw from the renowned Celtic Manor Resort, The Rib Smokehouse & Grill is a culinary gem that masterfully combines traditional English fare with the vibrant flavors of Creole cuisine from Louisiana. This unique dining experience is highlighted by their signature hickory wood-fired smoking ovens, which infuse each dish with an irresistible smoky essence.
For a restaurant tucked away in a hotel lobby we had the most amazing smoked BBQ platter with ribs and chicken wings that absolutely off the bone. Definitely not something I've ever experienced with chicken wings before but will now be hunting white whale style more close to home. Every part of the platter was thoughtfully put together with the pickle being a perfect cut through from the richness of the sauce and the chips perfectly crispy and seasoned. The brisket was incredibly dry, which was very surprising from such a normally big ticket item but everything else was so wonderful we didn't even care. We had the most amazing service from Becca who offers to check everything was gluten free just to ease my mind when items like onion rings aren't usually but in this case absolutely were as standard, and were incredible. The only downside was that due to health and safety policy we couldn't doggy bag any leftovers so make sure you come hungry when you visit!

The steak and the slow-cooked meat were delicious, and all the fried dishes were great too. However, the cheesecake we ordered for dessert wasn’t the New York cheesecake we’re familiar with, haha. I think the chef might need to revise the recipe. That’s why I took off one star. The staff were especially kind, which made our dinner very enjoyable. Because of the live music, the place was a bit noisy, but everyone seemed to be having a good time, and I liked that.

Another price increase, £22 for a burger now takes the rib to far to expensive for what it is, nothing is justified for the prices, the service is okay, but not good or stand out, not worthy of the service charge, the restaurant is very loud and you’ll struggle to hold a conversation, especially at the weekend when it’s full of screaming kids. The food really is enjoyable and good quality but spending over £60 for 2 people for 2 burgers and a drink each is madness, even at £18 it was steep

Amy was our server for the night but sadly we were let down because although we were seated 15 minutes before another table they were served before us. We also had a baby in toe which made it extremely difficult for us as she was already out of routine. I took it upon myself to go and get drinks from the bar as I got fed up with waiting. Just got married so this was our honeymoon and my newly wife was stressed at the thought we hadn't been served. When the food did come out if was great and the staff couldn't do enough. I will say that £15.95 is extremely expensive for a camembert with 2 pieces of french stick. To add we also had breakfast included in our stay which was very pleasant. The hot food was a little stale and left too long but the variety was fantastic. Such a nice choice so plenty of other things if that isn't your option. Would still recommend based on the fact that in conclusion the food was decent and the staff are very hospitable

I highly recommend dining here, absolutely amazing and friendly staff, prompt service, excellent dining facilities; alongside the food was absolutely delicious.

In two minds about this place because on trying to get a table at the Rib restaurant which was empty the maitre d looking down his nose at me told me they were full until 8:45 (obviously didn’t like my shorts). Had burger in the bar which was ok but the bar tender was excellent. Worked so fast by herself and kept smiling all the time. A joy to watch. On the way out noticed The Rib was still empty.
David P — Google review
Very surprisingly poor service, the place looked very nice and the food was decent but the service was terrible. I would call the service terrible if I were at my local pub but considering it's quite a nicely presented place and somewhat linked to the Celtic manor I definitely didn't expect to have to queue up at the hotel bar outside of the restaurant to get a drink with my meal. The bar staff were extremely slow and we're absolutely clueless so we ended up standing at the bar for 20 minutes while our food had been served and was getting cold at our table. I was there for a birthday booking of 23 people and not once did someone come around to ask if we needed anything, to ask if we were okay or if the food was okay, they took no notice of us to the point where we couldn't even catch their eye and flag them down, if we needed anything we would have to get up to approach a waiter for it so we didn't get what we needed until halfway through our meals. Even if you have low expectations of service, this place will flatten them

"The Farmers Arms" is a family-run pub located in the Goldcliff area of Newport. The cozy hotel features a courtyard terrace and a traditional restaurant that serves homemade food in a friendly atmosphere. The bedrooms have modern decor, flat-screen TVs, and private bathrooms, providing a bright environment for relaxation or work during your stay. Additionally, the pub offers a play area for children and a varied menu with options for everyone, including delicious starters and steaks.
Great traditional pub in a quiet area. They have a play area with swings, climbing area with slide for small children and a bouncy castle. The food is varied with something for everyone. We had scallops to start and steaks for main. We were so full we didn't get to sample the desserts but they looked really good. As the weather was great we sat outside but the inside is really nice as well. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

Have been before but this time came for Afternoon Tea. 10 of us. The home made scotch eggs & sausage rolls were just georgous. Plenty of tea/coffee and so many cakes we all took some home . All for £18. pp amazing value .

We had a lovely meal at the farmers arms, I had the chicken tenders which were so crispy and homemade and the burger was so fresh and hardly greasy. The ciabatta was a lovely portion which is big enough for 2 which was a lovely surprise. Would definitely go again

First time coming here, and honestly will definitely be coming again, the girls were so lovely who served us, and the food was amazing we had the beef brisket Sunday lunch and it was a taste sensation! Plenty of choice for kids too and my little one had fun on the and slide outside. Thanks all

We stopped on the way back from a festival hoping they could fit us in! It was fully booked but we could eat in the garden. The lamb was stunning and my partner had the beef and turkey also stunning (massive meat portions ) the gravy was was so thick with extra gravy bowl and my days it was outstanding. Roasted potatoes were delicious as was the veg! Although they were extremely busy the staff were attentive and really friendly. We will def visit here again.

A pub with friendly, staff and lovely food. The prices are also very good. If I lived near Newport I'd visit regularly, but sadly I'm about a 90 miles away and was just visiting.

@Nicholas griffiths I think everyone knows about the trouble that used to happen at this pub but I've spoken with the manager recently and they have only just taken over. They were very helpful and tried very hard to solve a booking problem which I had caused in confusion. I do not think that horrible man will be there causing trouble any more and I will be visiting for there amazing beef dinner today with friends, hopefully it is as good as it used to be. Update: the service was brilliant, the waitress was helpful and happy to help with everything. The food however did not live up to the usual expectations, will update if we try it here again

This award-winning restaurant not only boasts breathtaking views of Coldra Woods but also features an impressive menu highlighting premium steaks sourced from across the British Isles. In addition to its succulent meat offerings, diners can indulge in a selection of cured meats, including authentic Iberian ham and Welsh smoked salmon.
Wonderful location and view. Very welcoming staff. The décor and atmosphere are posh and romantic. We celebrated my birthday there and didn't regret our choice. The food was outstanding, complemented by the professional staff. It's definitely one of the best restaurants in Newport.

Visited for a mother’s day meal at steak on six and had the best time. The food was beautiful and the service was even better! Would definitely recommend if staying in hotel.

We dined at this restaurant on a Friday, as we arrived we were the first people in the restaurant but it quickly filled up. The service was amazing and quite unique to what we’re used to- Eucan was a very lovely waiter! The food was incredible and we thought that the price was brilliant for the quality and taste! We were absolutely full to the brim. If we’re ever to be back in the Celtic Manor, we know exactly where we’ll be dining.

What an experience this was! My husband booked dinner here as part of a package we were given as a gift for our wedding and it did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is very beautiful with large windows which overlooked the grounds of the Celtic Manor hotel. We were seated immediately and offered a choice of different waters for the table and given the menus to look over. The menu is a set price of around £70-80 with some optional upgrades. You are able to chose a starter, main course, side dish, sauce and desert with complimentary bread and butter which was delicious. I opted for the sirloin steak and dauphinose potatoes with garlic butter and was floored by the quality of the food. The starter and desert were also beautiful. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. It was an absolute pleasure to dine here and would gladly revisit for a special occasion.

It is a very nice place. They have a lovely service. I ordered welsh pork as a starter. It was fantastic, it felt like melting in the mouth. And then I had the English Rib Eye, medium-rare. De-li-ci-ous! All finsihed by a cherry chocolate praline dessert. Lovely! I can only recommend this place if you are nearby.

The Cafe At Ridgeway is a delightful gem in Newport that has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. With its inviting atmosphere, this cafe offers an impressive selection of drinks, including a standout vanilla latte that keeps patrons coming back for more. The cakes are visually stunning, with options like chocolate eclairs and vanilla slices tempting every sweet tooth. While gluten-free choices are limited to a small brownie and flapjacks—which may not suit all coeliacs—the overall experience remains enjoyable.
The cafe at Ridgeway is hands down our favorite coffee spot in Newport! Every visit here has been a treat, but our bonfire night visit this year was truly special. The cafe had a bustling crowd, but even with the high footfall, the staff kept the service excellent and impressively quick. We loved grabbing a hot dog from the stall outside—it was a perfect touch for the evening festivities. The food and drinks are always top-notch here: their cheesecakes are to die for, the blondies are perfectly rich, and the hot chocolates are incredibly cozy and delicious. It’s clear the cafe takes pride in everything they serve. The cafe is also wonderfully kid-friendly, with cakes and kid-sized hot chocolates that our little ones love! Accessibility is well thought out, too; the main seating area and cafe are fully accessible, which we really appreciate. Just note that there are a couple of steps up to the pod area if you’re thinking about booking one of those cozy, intimate spaces. The place is always spotless, and the team goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome. At The Ridgeway is truly a gem in Newport—amazing food, drinks, and friendly, consistent service every time. Can’t wait to come back again!

Absolutely love the cafe at ridgeway. Great cakes and coffee but the friendliest and most lovely staff. What a wonderful find! Although it has been here for a good few years now, it certainly is a wonderful place to unexpectedly come across. Food, cakes & drinks are of great quality and the cafe itself is warm and inviting. If you’re looking for a welcoming spot to have some food and drink during the winter months, then this is certainly the spot.

Must say I just had the worst sandwich, which was falafel and chilli sauce. I asked the waitress if there was any salad in this sandwich? It was served on a paper plate and looked like something the cat threw up and at the cost of £8.00 for this sandwich and a juice!! Unfortunately I had to eat it as I have had to fast regarding food for a hospital appointment so was very hungry. I used to sometimes grab a sandwich here before covid, but I must say the food is definitely not made with any care and thought. The cafe has become a mixture of different makeshift conservatories and isn't the nice pleasant establishment it once was. If the owners could look upon this as pull your socks up and don't let the general public pay £8.00 pounds for this.. never or will I recommend this cafe.

Nice little restaurant. As soon as we entered we was shown our table. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The menu is limited and only 2 Vegetarian options available. I had the vegetable curry and my mother had the chicken curry. Was nice with a little kick of spice. Then my mum had triffle and I had chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. That was also nice but have tasted better else where but all together a nice little place to get together with family for a meal.

The pub itself was perfectly lovely as well as the staff. The hotel room however was not! Im surprised it even passed regulations for guests to sleep there. It was just about clean under the dust. The shower had mould in it and the sink plug hole was broken. We had one towel between 2 till we found another drying on a radiator. The bedding was questionable and I was scratching all night. We were meant to stay 2 nights but we left after one as it was so awful.

Very poor quality food and small portions Tried the rising sun as new owners seemed to be making an effort. The quality of chicken in the curry was very disappointing. It was tiny frozen chicken pieces and the curry was very watery. It was cold and The portions were also extremely small and all different sized. The scampi was only 8 pieces and very oily. We addressed this with staff and they replaced all meals but it did not change the extremely poor quality. The meals are not cheap either. A real shame that this was the case for my experience but would not return or recommend.

McDonald's is a classic fast-food establishment that has stood the test of time, renowned for its iconic burgers and fries. Whether you're in a bustling city or a quiet corner of the world, stepping into McDonald's feels like coming home. The atmosphere is lively, often filled with families enjoying their meals together. While some may prefer other chains, there's something undeniably comforting about the familiar menu items—crispy fries and juicy nuggets—that evoke nostalgia.
Wasn't busy when we arrived. Easy to order food. Disappointed that you cant get the little pots of mayonnaise now. Cleaning lady was very polite and made sure everything was clean and tidy . And even took our tray from us at the end.

Been there last night, stopped to get some quick food. We were the only customer there and waited 10+ minutes and ended up with stone cold food. While we waiting, we have seen the manager there unpacking the cancelled delivery order, thought she was binning them, didn’t took notice. Only realised that she was unpacking the unwanted delivery food and put them into my order when we were on a449 already. We spent £20+ and the only hot food in my order was the 20 nuggets. The rest was dry stone cold leftovers, which is absolutely disgusting.

We came here Saturday just gone around 530pm and the young lady on customer care in the lobby area was very friendly and helpful, she had a lovely little chat with our 4 year old and he was very happy! ( as an ex mcdonald's manager myself its lovely to see such friendly customer care team!) Great job!

They had a sign at the right junction to direct me to the right turn, which was a great sign of things to come. It’s modern, so if you don’t like busy or digital ordering it’ll be tough, but they do have a cashier that was helping those who needed it. The washroom was clean, the place was packed to the max, and it had as many families as I have ever seen at any McDonalds of the same size. The drive through looked very quick and all the staff were super friendly. I think there was a platrium inside, which was nice because parents need a break.

I was sent a parking fine for parking in the free parking area , I am disputing it , how the hell can you get a 100 pound fine for parking in a free car park to eat in their restaurant . Update is have had 2 ,100 pound fines , you are only allowed to stay 90 mins in this car park in other mcdonals it is 120 minutes . Mc Donald's do not want your custom unless it's quick and short time ,,,,,, terrible non caring management of the customers. I suggest going else where ,,, where customers are not limited by time and fined if you dare to stay long and spend money ----- mcdonalds management ,,,,,, shame on you

Ordered from here multiple times and there are constant mixups, items missing multiple times and different drinks with no syrup tasting like sparkling water. If you order through mcdonalds app you are loosing money as they don’t provide any customer support when it comes to missing items.

McConsistency at its finest – even in the desert Honestly, I don’t even remember which McDonald’s this was, because let’s face it – they’re all part of one glorious, golden-arched hive mind. Walk in, order the usual, and boom: same fries, same nuggets, same comfort in a box, even when you’re in the middle of Dubai and it’s 45°C outside. Tastes like home. Smells like childhood. Works every time. 5 stars for global reliability and not making me think too hard.

Took 30 mins from ordering to have food in our hands- this was at 23:40 and didn’t get our food til 00:10! They lost our orders, after repeating it 3+ times they were still confused. I confirmed each order so many times. We thought everything was ok until we got back on the m4 and realised it was a beef Big Mac instead of the chicken. Absolutely ridiculous!!!!

Nestled near Cowbridge, the Three Horseshoes is a charming establishment that beautifully marries history with culinary delight. The venue itself is steeped in character, featuring remnants of the medieval Beaupre Castle and its stunning Renaissance porch. While much of the castle remains in ruins, the well-preserved gatehouse adds to its allure. Recently, I had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful Christmas meal at this inviting pub.
This evening I attended a Christmas meal here and can honestly say I enjoyed every bite. I can be a bit of a food snob and like my vegetables cooked just so. They were delicious, great portions sizes too. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. The building was clean and tidy including the toilets and bar staff were great. Thank you for a lovely meal and evening, will be back soon with the whole family.

The Godfrey Morgan - JD Wetherspoon, located at 158 Chepstow Road in Newport, has made it into the Great Beer Guide 2022. The pub boasts a friendly and accommodating staff, a 5* food hygiene rating, and enticing manager's specials on food. Visitors can expect a comfortable yet bustling atmosphere with engaging locals. Despite its location in a rough area, the interior feels like an oasis with its high ceilings and good layout.
Came today 17.07.25 (for breakfast) and witnessed amazing customer service. Zack was having his break and having breakfast, when it got quiet busy in the pub, so he left his food, and helped serve customers there food, and then went back to finish off his breakfast. Most people wouldn't interrupt their break for other customers....but he did. Well done Zack....that was fantastic service for your customers. Also the lady manager how then came into shop floor was extremely hard working too and didn't stop with serving and clearing tables.

Just another salt of the earth Wetherspoons to be honest. Friendly staff every time I’ve been there. There was a little too much cheese on the pizza..... but I’ll let them off just this once 😉. The atmosphere is very calm if you want a quiet drink on your own and equally if you decide to go with a group (times permitting)

Edit: Today, we ordered the beef madras. It was on the menu as a special. However, when we took a mouthful, the beef tasted mushy and incredibly unpleasant, the texture resembling the cheap meatballs you can buy in tins. Lost a star for food for this, just hope on our next visit the food improves. Original: We've been to this wetherspoon a few times, and it's a nice one to go to. The food here is on par with the other wetherspoons we have been to, their food is delicious. We usually order the half roast chicken, and it's been lovely every time we have had it. The pub can get quite crowded at times, and it's hard to manoeuvre when it gets busy, especially up by the bar with the tables located in the middle of the room. Sometimes tables can be hard to find because of how busy it gets, but each time we have been, we have been able to find a table after a little time of looking. The service also gets quite busy and sometimes will spend a bit of time waiting at the bar or waiting for the food/drinks from table service due to this, but staff are very courteous, offering apologises for the wait, etc. We do really like this place and come here enough in between. Highly recommended.

If you're on the hunt for authentic Thai cuisine in Newport, look no further than Patt-Thai. This charming eatery has become a local favorite, especially during the pandemic when they enhanced their delivery services, allowing you to savor their delicious dishes from the comfort of your home. Many patrons rave about the incredible service and warm hospitality provided by the owners, who are always eager to chat and share insights about their menu.
They have a £5 pound set lunch (a rarity these days) but the prices were so reasonable I just selected a Red Curry from the main menu. It was wonderful, full of the authentic fragrances and flavours and spiced to my personal request i.e. nice and spicey.Nice presentation and a generous bowlful also. The owners love what they are doing and in fact they just sourced some lovely genuine decorative materials for the place whilst away in Thailand; always aiming to enhance the 'ambience' which is cosy and creative. The Takeaway menu looks great and I believe there is a generous discount on orders over £15. There are 'standard dishes' on the menu and some enticing looking unusual specialties. Meat is proper humane halal, which is great -there were a lot of halal places in Krabi with wonderful food.

So happy to have finally found a Thai restaurant in Newport! I have now ordered take away three times, each time the service has been incredible (I have collected each time so I can't comment on delivery.) The owners are so helpful and lovely to talk to. I have tried each of the curries and they are all lovely. Looking forward to trying more food from the menu. They are happy to remove veg from curries for my picky partner and most of the food is gluten free which suits me! Our favourites so far are the green and panang curries, and satay chicken and my partner loves the duck spring rolls.

Just traveled from Bristol to Newport based on users reviews and totally worth it! The owners were very chatty and attentive, telling us about the food etc. The food itself was lovely and authentic and the portion sizes were good. The price is amazing for what you get and the quality of the food. Highly recommended and will definitely be back in the future.

A 'hidden' gem! So glad we found this place looking for a restaurant open on a Monday night. Food was excellent especially king prawn starter and honey and duck dish. Also great for vegetarians as all the standard dishes could be served with choice of meats, tofu or vegetables. The food is obviously made to order as we had one fussy eater who removed and swapped items from her choice. I call it a hidden gem as it is away from the food offerings of friars walk but if you want to enjoy a non chain restaurant you can find them in this area of Newport. Give yourself time to find a car parking place. The atmosphere was friendly and the service personal. We only had soft drinks and the bar choice did not look extensive however if you are looking for good food at the right price it is a good choice. We had a starter and main course plus rice each and one side dish for £14 per person. We'll be back!

So far so good. Whenever I visit Newport I always visit here. Very competitively priced, simple, but authentic Thai food, that is difficult to fault. Be prepare to wait. I have not tried everything though. My favourite dishes are the deep fried fish and stir fried ginger dishes.

Restaurant
Bar Piazza is a well-established Italian-style coffee shop located in the city center, having been around for about 18 years. Despite changes in the surroundings, such as the construction of Friars Walk, this family-run cafe has remained popular and even expanded to a new location in Caerleon. In addition to serving Italian coffee and homemade treats, they also offer a variety of Italian deli goods like pasta, meats, and cheeses.
Michael Myers taught me a valuable life lesson. Don't worry about how fast everyone else around you is moving. If you are determined, just move at your own pace and you'll kill it every time. This place is making a killing with its great food. Hope this is enough advertisement to keep them going.

What a lovely place. Owners are nice and the food and coffee is amazing. I was really surprised with this place, I think it’s probably the best caffe in Newport and I have tried all of them. Only found this place today. Will likely be a regular.

Lovely afternoon tea with prosecco and very reasonably priced. I particularly enjoyed the different types of bread used for each sandwich. Friendly service especially from the owner. We will definitely be back!

This is an excellent cafe serving awesome coffee but also an excellent variety of foods and drinks. The service is excellent and really friendly. The food is made fresh and they are always willing to adjust to order. I’ve never been in or walked past and seen it empty, and this is well deserved. Take a pass on the big coffee chains and support a truly superb local business.

What a fantastic place to have a coffee, indulge in some stunning food and be swept off your feet with fantastic customer service. Whenever we come to the City Centre, we always make sure that we have a coffee and some cake here as we know that we’ll always receive a warm welcome. The customer service here goes above and beyond and it always makes our visit extra special every time we come. Highly recommend, Bar Piazza, and I insist that you make a visit when visiting Newport City Centre

Visitors rave about its inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, who make everyone feel right at home—even furry companions! With a menu that caters to various dietary preferences, including an impressive vegan cooked breakfast featuring homemade seitan bacon, there's something for everyone. Guests have enjoyed hearty meals like sausage sandwiches and breakfast buns while soaking in the eclectic decor adorned with framed art of iconic musicians like David Bowie.
What a fabulous cafe! Upon entering was greeted by the friendly lady serving, the cafe decor is cool with different artists and bands on the walls in frames like David Bowie, great atmosphere was very comfortable. The two women serving seem happy to be there and was nice to see that. Genuine good customer service. I had the regular breakfast and my husband had a breakfast bun. The food was spot on great 👍 prices very good too. Will be back again and would recommend to others

Lovely atmosphere and the owner is just awesome. I love the concert memories on the walls. Nice cooked breakfast to start me on my day. It is extra for a hot chocolate with breakfast but I accept that with me being a pain not drinking tea or coffee.

Stopped by this lovely café near the bus station while waiting for my bus on a rainy day. Fish and chips takeaway
Fast food restaurant
If you're on the hunt for an unforgettable dining experience in Newport, look no further than Jones Fish Bar. Renowned for serving some of the best fish and chips around, this gem offers a delightful combination of crispy, fluffy chips that are so good they could easily be mistaken for roast potatoes. The secret? They're cooked in dripping! The haddock is equally impressive—fresh, moist, and enveloped in a light batter that’s simply divine.
What a lush place! The staff are always so lovely and accommodating. Such a friendly place with delicious food. Crispy and fresh, my fav chippy :)
Caitlin A — Google review
AMAZING! Absolutely the best cod and chips in Newport. We were last here when visiting in 2018 and the flavors have remained fantastic. The lines are out the door and they do a tremendous food delivery business so be prepared to wait. It took me 30 minutes of waiting in line to order and once I did another 7 my waiting for the amazing chips! They have parking but it is tight.
Onthegoboomer — Google review
This is bar far the best chip shop that I have EVER visited. Rick Stein’s (that I’ve visited) has nothing on this exceptional operation. You know that you you’re visiting something very special when you find out that they make their own pies from scratch - who else does this! We try to get over from Cardiff as often as we can. 10/10
David G — Google review
5/5 Fish & Chips! Honestly speaking this is probably the nicest fish and chips I have ever had. The portion size for a 'regular' was plentiful and not disappointing. The chips were on the crunchier side with a fluffy filling which is exactly how I like my chips and the battered fish was perfect.
Garin D — Google review
Jones Fish Bar THE BEST CHIPS IN NEWPORT Absolutely unbelievable fish and chips ! I have never tasted fish and chips as delicious as these. The chips : Extremely crunchy, light and fluffy, much more like roast potatoes. In fact they should just change the name to Roast Potato Chips. Apparently the secret is they’re cooked in dripping. The Fish: Gorgeous piece of Haddock, very moist, fresh, and cooked in a light delicious batter. Cooked fresh when ordered, we waited for it just under ten minutes. Curry Sauce: The curry sauce was perfect, absolutely delicious. We finished it and I wished we’d bought two. Only £1.50 for each large pot of sauce too. There’s a choice of three different curry sauces, we bought chip shop curry sauce. SENSATIONAL! I’ll definitely shop here again, soon !!
Jackie K — Google review
What an amazing place, everyone is friendly and always smiling and the food is amazing, there steak pie is the best I’ve ever had and the pulled pork on chips is so tasty, if you haven’t tried this place you are missing out

Best chippy I've ever been too, staff were really friendly and food served really quickly, price of a meal was lot less than expected, 10/10 would recommend
Stefan L — Google review
Visited for a bag a chips. Ordered a small portion which was £1.95. Compared to other chippies I have been too as far as Swansea this is by far the smallest portion for the price. The quality was below average and the chips had a funny taste due to what they were cooked in. Also the visible quality was poor. Not stopping there again.

Rogue Fox is a popular independent coffee shop in Newport that has made a name for itself since its establishment in 2017. The cozy environment, complete with comfortable seating and an inviting reading area, makes it a great spot to enjoy their excellent coffee selection. In addition to serving breakfast and lunch, the venue also offers evening hire and showcases local artwork on rotation. Customers can indulge in a delightful coffee and cake deal available all day.
We came for the first time today. Our order consisted of the death by Nutella (pancakes), the classic breakfast and 2 drinks (deluxe hot chocolate). For all of this the price was around £26. The drinks were served quickly and the food didn’t take long to come out, both of us enjoyed every bit of it, generous portions, helpful staff and delicious food. I am a particularly picky eater however I found no issues with the food at all.

Unfortunately, I find myself having to edit this review due to the number of times I've tried to dine here, only to be told they've ran out of food, or the kitchen closed early, or there's a really long wait on food. Doesn't seem to matter what day of the week, I never seem to be able to actual grab a bite to eat here, which is really disappointing. The food is still great I'm sure, but I can't give somewhere that's unequipped to deal with demand 5/5 stars. Initial review continues below. A truly superb hidden gem near Newport's train station, definitely worth wandering over the bridge to visit. Great coffee, and excellent food. Service was lovely and the atmosphere was welcoming. Only complaint I have is the seating; the benches against the wall aren't deep enough! Always find myself feeling like I'm going to fall forward into my Mocha 😅
Alexander B — Google review
WOW, we have just come back from The Rogue Fox Newport after having an afternoon tea for two which was absolutely superb. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. There was unlimited tea or coffee, a choice of sandwiches or toastie which was delicious, scones jam and cream, a selection of cakes and fruit. They also catered well for me as I am coeliac. There was so much we came home with goodie bags. The atmosphere was lovely and we had a small alcove to ourselves. I have added a couple of photos we took. FIVE STARS ALL ROUND,Thank you Rogue Fox.

Such a cosy atmosphere with lovely service. The Rogue Fox is a sweet family run cafe and the food is great! Comfy armchairs and intimate nooks and crannies give it a homely feel where you can enjoy chatting, reading a good book, and drinking delicious coffee. The Rogue Fox is a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of Newport town for a cosy bite alone or with friends and family.

The Pesto Sourdough Bread with Eggs was fantastic. The café was quiet busy at 11am. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, especially the guy in the service and the girl with the French accent behind the counter. The café is dog friendly, too (big plus). Would come back.

Came here for a birthday brunch. I had had knee surgery 2 weeks previously so needed somewhere local.... And it did not disappoint. The lady working instantly came over to give me a cushion for me to put my leg up to be comfortable. And throughout the whole experience her customer service was second to none. The dog got some bacon and I got a free coffee. We finished our food (which was really great ) and then the woman brought me over a slice of cake with some birthday candles which ultimately made my birthday in all honesty- will definitely be returning. Thank you for making this birthday a memorable one
Bethan D — Google review
Good food at a very good price! We both got a cooked breakfast it was really nice. The service is friendly but a little slow, not their fault I feel there could be more support for them. The cafe is small so it was a little crowded but overall enjoyed.
Orlaith W — Google review
I'll start with the positives. Lovely little coffee shop. We booked an afternoon tea for 2 and made the reservation via the contact form, which was nice and easy. Staff were friendly and attentive. Coffee was beautiful, and our sour dough toasties were OMG! I feel like the price was okay for what we had and the service we received. The atmosphere and regulars were lovely, including the little pup visitors. You can tell people love it here! We will definitely be back for the main menu as it looked great. My only criticisms were that the scones were very dry and almost dusty. You cut through them and end up with flour everywhere, from the inside, which was odd for me. We've had afternoon teas before, but from other places at similar cost, and you usually get a small selection of bite size cakes/sweet treats each. This tea had 3 cakes, which we cut in half to share, which were ok. Although full, I felt like it was just lacking something, not so much food wise, but just something i can't put my finger on. Overall, though, it's a lovely place, and we will definitely be back!

Outstanding pizza! A real gem of a pizzeria. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and exceptional food created by a talented chef. The mouth watering menu is tweaked regularly to keep it even more exciting. Easily five stars.
Matt B — Google review
Very excited by the amount of vegan options but thoroughly underwhelmed with the food. The nut cheese is flavourless and has an unpleasant grainy texture. It might have been tolerable if there weren't huge dollops all over the pizza. More balsamic glaze would have been nice, it was hardly noticeable. Otherwise, the toppings and base were ok - it's just a shame the nut cheese completely ruined it.

Ragtag has been my favourite pizza place for a while now but the new menu is completely next level! My Husband came home with items missing that he had paid for. The food was very average and tasteless. During my recent family visit, I had the pleasure of dining at The Victoria Inn, and it truly outshone all other eateries I tried. The food was nothing short of fantastic, with a standout dish being the succulent chicken in garlic and mushroom sauce—perfectly paired with a well-cooked jacket potato and fresh salad. The staff were incredibly polite and accommodating; they even welcomed my assistant dog into the lounge area without hesitation.
Visiting the area and searched local pubs and tried Victoria Inn, food was great and well priced with a free pudding. As a bonus had karaoke on and was a great night & atmosphere. Real ale had gone

Absolutely brilliant service, staff made us welcome and so accommodating. A group of 9 of us and service was swift (even though it was busy), and friendly. Prices very reasonable. Food was delicious. Fromcod & chips to surf and turf or the hunters burger we all enjoyed our meal. We even stayed longer for desserts. Yummy!

Had a fantastic meal here on Friday of chicken with a garlic and mushroom sauce. The chicken was succulent and the sauce really tasty and garlicky and there was plenty of it. The jacket potato with it was cooked to perfection and there was just the right amount of salad and peas on the side too. We followed this with delicious carrot cake and cream which was all washed down with a reasonably priced bottle of sauvignon blanc. Would definitely recommend the Vic to my friends.
Sue R — Google review
Food was alright, took an hour to come out which isn’t very usual for this pub but a little while after myself and a family member have had a really bad stomach.
Molly C — Google review
Asked staff if it was OK to have meals with my assistant dog, they said yes in bar area, they saw the dog was well behaved and just laid down next to us, so the staff said its noisy in bar area you can go into the lounge to eat, so we did, the dog as usual lay quietly and doesn't shed fur plus we have had a table in the far corner The food was excellent and the staff were great, We were then most disappointed to find the landlady had told the staff it's fine to finish the meal and drinks but couldn't return with the dog which was a great shame as we use to visit the pub many years ago and I have just moved to the area. As we were leaving I was told that seems unfair by a regular customer and that a woman sat far from us complained about the dog being there. Nice pub, great food, lovely staff, disappointing outcome

The staff were a bit awkward when dealing with us as customers - almost like they weren't used to speaking to people. Also, ordered two cans, handed over a fiver. Didn't really think anything of it and asked for some ketchup as well. Few seconds later I was handed 20p back. Two cans were £3.60 and two pots of ketchup were £1.20. 😭🤣 My own fault for not complaining OR handing them back, but I was actually speechless. (And it was my mates fiver.) Just a heads up - and c'mon, those prices are utterly ridiculous. However, to end on a positive, the £5 cheeseburger, chips and a can deal was pretty good. Just don't order ANYTHING else on top.

Beef burger is ok , Lamb not tasty that much. However, while other restaurants accepting card payments only to help stop COVID-19 this place accept cash only!

Cafe
Nestled in the heart of Newport, Coffee Corner is a delightful haven for coffee lovers and casual diners alike. This charming café offers a cozy atmosphere that invites you to unwind after a busy day of shopping or post-workout. With its calming decor and soothing music, it’s easy to lose track of time while savoring their delicious iced coffees and frothy hot chocolates.
Nice and friendly staff, clean and comfy, good food and coffee. A bit pricey, but I came back several times over the few days I was in Newport, and will definitely visit again if I find myself in the area 😀 Bagel with bacon and cheese is 🔥 (imo) especially when paired with a lovely cup of coffee!

Absolutely love coming here (naughtily so, straight after gym!) but it’s always a nice stop to cool down and catch my breath before leaving the centre. Their iced coffees are really lovely, the hot chocolate is milky and frothy and the coffee tastes the same every time which is great! It has a lovely homely feel to it, the decor is calming, the music playlist even makes you want to spend longer and have another cupa. We’ve enjoyed sharing our treats which enables you to taste a bit more on the menu and be adventurous. The cakes are always tasty, fresh and melt-in-your-mouth. The only downside is that you can buy a whole cake of similar quality(not exactly the same) from the Supermarket, for the same price as one slice of cake. That makes me feel like it’s a bit extortionate, but alas, not much to do about it when rent drives prices up. We’re a mixed couple and have never felt that we were treated differently from other customers, and we often see familiar faces and pets, so in all a nice pit stop 😉 🍰 ☕️

Had my first coffee and cake here after living here for just over a year now and the coffee was lovely! So freshly made (cameral latte) staff very friendly, great atmosphere. I did eye this place up a while ago but never pushed myself to go in, but very glad I did and will be coming back.

A straightforward coffee spot within the shopping centre, serving all the classic drinks and food you’d expect. Nothing too distinctive in terms of character, but the staff are genuinely lovely and always a pleasure to deal with

The US office S4EP5&6 As soon as I set foot in the cafe,Deja vu kicks in and I left myself wondering have I been here? I swear, theres one in Cardiff? Anyways, nice hot chocolate and comfy seats, very busy but manage to find space. Workers also clear the table very quickly.

Doner kebab restaurant
Red Chilli Kebab & Grill Bar, located at 3 Clytha Park Road Newport NP20 4NZ, is a hidden gem offering a variety of delicious food options. The menu includes burgers that are described as "really tasty and juicy," with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free choices available. Customers praise the owner's cooking skills and homemade sauces, such as the amazing naga sauce and garlic sauce. The place may look tired from the outside but offers exceptional food cooked to perfection.
Really great service. The food was beyond amazing! We will definitely return again and recommend everyone to give it a try 😀

Ordered a chicken shish . It seemed to be fried in a pan and in oil as I received whole garlic cloves, peppers, fried onions and loads of oil in my kebab. I don’t believe it should be advertised as “barbecued on flames” if that’s not the cooking method used. It also does not taste like a normal chicken shish and this is not a good thing. The chicken is very salty and has an unpleasant tang. It tastes more like jerk chicken. I requested fresh onions , lettuce and cucumber as fresh salad options and considering it was supposed to be a large kebab there was not a lot of salad. Overall really poor and I did not eat any of it. If you’re looking for a usual kebab I would avoid this place as it just isn’t a chicken shish kebab.

Tasty but stingy on portions. Ordered a special chilli kebab extra large, felt more like a large. Tried again with a normal chicken doner extra large same, closer to medium/large size. Compared to other kebab shops, meat portions are bigger for the same tag 'XL' price. Great for flavour, not for quantity. Staff are lovely though. Pros: - Great flavour (Red chillis special) - Friendly staff Cons: - Small portions for “extra large” - Less meat than other kebab shops - Not the best value

Banging special pizzas from the owner.. great customer service paid 20£ for two 12” the owner gave me a can and 2 sauces for free !! I recommend red chilli 10/10 amazing!!
Slavomir P — Google review
To be honest, I ordered x large chilli kebab. It was served with a pita bread. If you like spicy food you must try this. It gives you a proper spicy grilled taste but it was a bit oily so couldn’t ate the whole portion. It could be better if it’s grilled and prepared with no oil but just the sauce itself. Suggestions: Do not use oil but only chilli sauce. Give options for the sides since there were no sides itself. I had to order it separately. However the prices were fair. Work required on shop’s infrastructure. So you could grab more audience. Add a little bit space for dine in

Food was swimming in Greece. Was 25 minutes late. Faced with abuse on the phone. I would strongly recommend not to eat from here!

Such a wrost ever food i ever tried The man misbehaving and having arrogant behaviour If I could give this place zero stars, I would. From the moment we walked in, the staff's behavior was a masterclass in rudeness and a complete lack of professionalism. Our server acted as though we were a massive inconvenience, and every question we asked was met with a sigh or a condescending remark. It felt less like a dining experience and more like a punishment. And the food? The word "sucks" is an understatement. The meal was not only inedible but looked like it had been thrown onto the plate with no care. The flavors were completely off, the ingredients tasted old, and it was clear that no effort was put into its preparation. It was, without a doubt, the worst meal I have ever been served at a restaurant.

Excellent service and delicious food. The owner is very friendly. We wanted extra spicy meat and he even gave us some portion to taste the spiciness. Potions are worth for the price.
