1Pousada do Ouro

Hotel
Nestled in the heart of Paraty's Historic Center, Pousada do Ouro offers a classic colonial architecture and decor. The elegant guesthouse features spacious rooms with whitewashed walls and colorful doors and windows. Guests can enjoy amenities such as an outdoor pool, sauna, massage sessions, movie nights, and a game room. The attentive staff provides top-notch service that is highly praised by visitors.
Our stay at Pousada de Ouro was exceptional for several reasons. First of all, the hotel is located in a beautiful complex of typical houses of the time, with attention to detail, it was very clean and had all the amenities to make the stay perfect. On the other hand, we had a problem with the rental car, and Alessandra helped us with all the conversations and subsequent transfers to the different places on our trip. All the hotel workers are extremely friendly and willing to lend a hand. I recommend staying at Pousada do Ouro and would definitely stay there again.

Cozy hotel with lots of sitting spaces, nice pool with a bar and sitting areas. Rustic rooms with comfortable bed. Very fast Wi-Fi, good shower, very clean. Safe box, fridge and little "backyard" about 1 square meter that can be used by smokers. Excellent buffet with lots of fruits and a menu you can order from. Very close to main square but on a quiet street. Worth every penny paid for it. A garment stand or a simple chair to put your clothes on at night would be a valuable addition.
Ashod M — Google review
Wonderful hotel - deserves more stars! Reception staff and room cleaning staff especially are very friendly and welcoming. We were made to feel special for celebrating our anniversary. Photos do not do justice to how beautiful the rooms and shared spaces are - would book to stay here again

We had a lovely time at the Pousada do Ouro. Everything was great - the room, the location, the pool and everything else. The people could not have been more lovely and kind. A special thanks to Isabella and Filipe for their kindness and rescuing my backpack which I stupidly left in a cab. Also a special thanks to Junior for his friendship, explanations of the birds and of course the caipirinhas!

Very very nice, unique, charming place in historic centre of Paraty. Old school building totally refurbished into stylish hotel. Big rooms, excellent breakfast, super kind service and personnel. Swimming pool, sauna, cosy bar. All that you need and want for a careless stay in beautiful Paraty.
Dries R — Google review
Well located, great customer service from all employees (Thank you Filipe, Junior, Caio, Ian, and all those who we do not get a chance to get the names); it is a charming place in the heart of the historic downtown. Breakfast has lots of variety and fresh food.
Maria C — Google review
Beautiful stay here, right in the middle of the colonial town. The staff was incredibly helpful, receptive, and I was able to communicate with them easily in English as well. They have amenities too: we used their sauna and got some relaxing massages. The breakfast was excellent!
Julian R — Google review
What a fantastic place. It was a real travel in time. The pool and adjoining bar with classic pool table reminded My wife and I of the old world. We had a wonderful time here. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. The food was absolutely delicious. Much of the staff spoke English. The rooms were very clean. Pretty good value for the money too. Highly recommend ouro !!!!!!

Nestled in a serene fishing village, Casa Mar Paraty is a stylish guesthouse that promises an unforgettable escape. Just 7 km from the vibrant heart of Paraty, this charming retreat offers guests a tranquil atmosphere with stunning ocean views. The property features an inviting infinity pool where you can relax while soaking in the breathtaking scenery. Each of the airy and comfortable rooms comes equipped with air conditioning and private balconies, allowing you to enjoy the sea breeze at your leisure.
Breathtaking view, great location and amazing attention from Gustavo! Super easy, short drive to get to the town centre by car. It was lovely to retreat to the hotel after being in the city all day. The view in the morning and the breakfast are unbeatable. Staff is amazing, super helpful and the best restaurant tips! The kayaks at the beach are a lovely touch. We got upgraded for our honeymoon, something so lovely and rarely found in the mass tourism boom these days. Would love to return!

This is an excellent place to stay. We were so happy we booked casa mar. The property is gorgeous and the open concept works so well. Of course the pool is beautiful with the views and we were pleased that it was rather warm allowing us to enjoy it. The team is very accommodating. Highly recommend!

Great location, relaxed atmosphere and design. Very close to the beach but on a hill with breathtaking views. Food is simple but good quality. Would definitely come back and definitely recommend
Harald M — Google review
This is by far the best experience we had at the hotel. The team at the hotel is nice and helpful, they've been able to accomodate every request we had and went above and beyond. The rooms are beautiful, the surroundings are peaceful and the view from the pool is spectacular. Excellent breakfast and food overall (nice touch with the honesty bar). We felt at home the whole time, and will definetly come back if we ever get the chance to pass by Rio or Paraty. It's worth every penny, thank you Gustavo and congrats on building such an excellent experience!

Loved out stay at Casa Mara. It only has 8 bedrooms and the service certainly reflected that. The staff were so attentive and made us feel right at home. We went Kayaking for a few hours (the guesthouse offers complimentary Kyaks) around the islands close by and that was the highlight of our time there. Gustavo the manager was super helpful and we would have no issues returning not only as the place is beautiful but because of him and his staff. Already looking forward to our next visit :)
Damien C — Google review
It is really a fabulous place. The view is beautiful, it’s quiet and perfect to rest. The rooms are very nicely done with taste. And they are very helpful to organise any excusions or transfers. Highly recommended !
Camille M — Google review
Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The view from the hotel balcony is absolutely stunning, and the complimentary breakfast was amazing (homemade bread, fresh squeezed orange juice, hot press for sandwiches). They even have kayaks for usage at the beach nearby. No matter your budget, if you're in the area you owe it to yourself to check this place out.
Alex W — Google review
Starting off with what I liked: Beautiful location, despite the rain, the area around the pousada and the pousada itself is stunning. The minimalist design is very appealing and blends with the beautiful nature super well! Also, the staff were incredibly friendly and a pleasure to be around. You can use the pousada’s kayaks to go explore the islands around the area as well which was super cool. The breakfast was fresh every morning, but for the price you’re paying I think a larger variety would be appropriate. Now for what I disliked: I will start with the most frustrating thing which was having the hotel space itself ruined for other members staying there. This hotel is a serene, quiet, and romantic retreat overlooking the beach and is advertised as such. You pay one of the highest prices per night for a pousada/hotel in Paraty, the expectation would be this advertised experience would be upheld. However, there was a family there that was very obnoxious and with a child who was screaming quite literally every moment he was outside in the common area. Myself and the other visitors could not enjoy the beautiful hotel space because of this. We respectfully sent a complaint to the owner, but received no response and the behavior continued. It was very frustrating to not be able to actually enjoy the hotel itself at all because of this and I would expect for the money we paid for this to not be a problem. Second, the electronic transaction infrastructure they had didn’t support american cards. It’s really luck of the draw in Brasil whether your card will work with a machine or not when you’re american. However, the restaurant on the beach’s machines worked perfectly fine and this expensive hotel oasis’s machines didn’t work. This is an easy thing to fix that you would expect to not be a problem at somewhere like this. Lastly, the rooms should have hair dryers and irons for you to iron your clothes. Basic amenities that weren’t present. If it wasn’t for the common space being ruined, I would give this place 4.5 stars, unfortunately it is not appropriate for me to do so because of that

Restaurant
Restaurante Banana da Terra is a renowned dining spot in Paraty, offering traditional coastal Brazilian dishes in an elegant colonial villa with charming garden tables. The restaurant is known for its fresh-caught local fish and shrimp, making it a top choice for seafood enthusiasts. For those seeking a unique experience, the Academy of Cooking and Other Pleasures hosted by Brazilian chef Yara Castro Roberts and her husband Richard Roberts offers dinner events combined with cooking classes.
This restaurant is a must if you’re in Paraty! It was our favorite meal out. The NYT wrote about it and did not overhype the food. Every dish was delicious and creative in its own way without being overly rich or dramatic. The wine list is pleasant. Only feedback would be that the staff be a bit friendlier and more welcoming. They were efficient and not unpleasant but just dry and cold.
Katie P — Google review
Food is delicious - we had the octopus, the filled squid with rice and iced coconut cake. Everything was full of taste, with good portions and fresh ingredients. Service is really professional too and decor is of higher standards than the rest of restaurants in Paraty. Highly recommended.
Chiara P — Google review
We had the filled squid with creamy rice and the fish with heart of palm risotto (apparently the most ordered dish). The squid was bland, the filling inside wasn’t tasty and it came with a bland creamy rice. Very disappointing. The fish with risotto was ok, but missing that “punch” flavour. Dessert was amazing (banana pie with cinnamon ice cream), saved the day as the other dishes need a LOT of improvement. Drinks were good. Overall too expensive for what they offer, there are much better restaurants in the area with fair price (others same price, but outstanding dishes).
Vanessa M — Google review
Incredible experience! Every dish at Banana da Terra was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The atmosphere is warm and charming, and the service was excellent. We loved every bite and can’t wait to come back. A must-visit in Paraty!
Camila M — Google review
Refined Brazilian cuisine in a charming colonial setting. Nestled in the historic center, the restaurant blends rustic charm with a refined, welcoming atmosphere. 🇧🇷✨ The food was outstanding — fresh, creative, and beautifully presented. We tried a dish made with 30-day aged fish, an octopus carpaccio, and a baked octopus dish that was truly the best we’ve ever had. 🐙 Every bite was memorable, with flavors that celebrated Brazilian ingredients in a sophisticated way. Service was warm and attentive, if you’re in Paraty and looking for a standout meal, Banana da Terra is a must. It is a bit pricey but it is definitely top notch.
John N — Google review
We are on a 2 week honeymoon in Brazil and this may have been our best meal. The bread is spectacular, and they brought out some free appetizers including smoked fish, pumpkin soup, and a croquette that was amazing. We then had some cheese balls as another appetizer, and then the crusted fish and squid risotto for dinner all of which was excellent. The service was top notch and we felt that it was a meal that merited a tip beyond the usual 10%. Highly creative and delicious meal that we strongly recommend.
Collier B — Google review
Banana da Terra completely exceeded my expectations. Out of all the places I’ve been to so far in Rio and Paraty, this was hands down the best customer service. Everyone was incredibly attentive and welcoming. It made the whole experience even better. And the food? Absolutely to die for. The octopus was my favorite, beautifully cooked, full of flavor, and plated with such a vibrant mix of colors. I loved it so much I had it twice during my 3-day trip. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Paraty.
Itza B — Google review
I was left a disappointed with this meal given the price point and reputation. Both my starter and main were pleasant, but neither hit the mark as meals I’ll remember. I was hoping for more flavour wise, my tempura main felt monotonous. Maybe other dishes are better, but I’d hoped this was a restaurant that could make a food veggie main. Service was good and friendly, but the atmosphere in the room past the main dining space felt a bit lacking - at least one other couple asked to move.

The thai restaurant Thai Paraty is located in a nice, old building in downtown Recife. It has three entrances and three vegetarian and vegan dishes that can be tasted as starters, main courses or desserts. One of the dishes we tried was the Tom Kha Soup with Coconut Milk (R$ 29.50), Stewed Lemons, Mushrooms, Vegetables and Curry Leaves.
An excellent option to enjoy not only the delicious food, the good presentation and quantity of the dishes but the atmosphere of the place. The service is very friendly and the location is more than perfect in the beautiful Historic Center of the City.

Food was very good, prices were ok. I had the cashew chicken which I'd give 5⭐ my boyfriend had the chicken pad Thai which he thought was a bit small 4⭐. There was unfortunately nobody in the restaurant and we were there on Friday night approx 19:30, hence the low atmosphere score, people did start to arrive as we were leaving.

Nice looking restaurant and good service but Seem like its thai food version Brazil , the padthai is not so bad but its salty only not sweet, I went to thailand 3 months and it never taste like that , tasted more like yakisoba to me , Not bad but just don’t expect the real thai food ; )

A Colonial Charmer! A charming boutique hotel nestled in the heart of Paraty’s historic center. Housed in a beautifully restored 18th-century building, the pousada successfully balances colonial authenticity & charm with modern comfort. The atmosphere is quaint and tranquil, making it an ideal getaway for travelers looking to experience Paraty’s rich history and relaxed pace. LOCATION: The location is one of the strongest aspects of Pousada Porto Imperial. It’s situated right in the historical district, so you’re within walking distance of Paraty’s cobblestone streets, vibrant markets, churches, art galleries, and plenty of restaurants. For those interested in the cultural and historical elements of Paraty, the pousada's central location makes it easy to explore the city on foot. DINE + DRINK: Excellent breakfast with fresh tropical fruits, local specialties, and made-to-order eggs served in a charming colonial-style breakfast room with period furnishings. The lovely poolside bar is romantic with lovely outdoor seating with gorgeous views of the cathedral ROOM: We stayed in a room that was on the first floor called 213, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: Lovely views of the stunning big cathedral from the cute windows; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good spa-quality toiletries FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines. Lovely outdoor swimming pool with nice views of the glorious cathedral SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. Special HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is not bad! Small Smart TV dishing out a good variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment - BUT ONLY IN PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE

Cute hotel at the heart of the historic district of Paraty. Some of their weaknesses are not under their control given the infrastructure of the town. For instance, I was in town during a rainy period and TV reception did not work due to their cable provider, and there can even be some power outages. The room can get noisy at night if your window is facing the street and there's people partying outside. Their parking is not far from the entrance but it can be an inconvenience when it is raining outside. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are cozy, beds are comfortable. Good air conditioning. Good water pressure in the shower. Location is convenient, with many attractions and restaurants nearby.
Berto S — Google review
The place is beautiful, though you need the stomach for a lot of colonial minstrel-style decor - but the staff did not tell us on arrival (and no indication on booking.com) that all the facilities were out of order - pool, gym, sauna - which is why we chose it. Fortunately they gave us a full refund without argument, despite a slightly spiky attitude. Communication was tricky since none of the staff seemed to speak English.
Sophie S — Google review
I spent a few days in this wonderful place. All is perfection. Staff is friendly and welcoming, breakfast is fresh made and delicious, rooms are spacious and clean, beds are comfortable. There is a swimming pool, a gym, you can book a massage as extra option (which I did and it was like being in heaven). I can only recommend. Muito obrigada !
B V — Google review
A bit pricey by Brazilian standards (affordable by US standards) but worth it. Our room and bathroom were incredible and the staff were very attentive. I enjoyed the diverse breakfasts each morning and thought they had something for everyone (dairy, tons of fresh fruit, meat, eggs, sandwiches, tons of different baked goods, fresh juices, coffee, etc). Of note - the breakfast is not complementary, neither are the waters in the rooms, etc. so small charges can add up. They have many beautiful common areas to lounge or work in. The pool is nice and we enjoyed the pool bar. Great location in proximity to the historical area as well as the beach. Wi-Fi was good through most of the property depending on time of day.
G. W — Google review
Hotel is very central and right in the historic old City. The building itself is historic and used to be a trading center and bank hundreds of years ago. Its very well renovated with a beautiful small garden and pool. I did not like the breakfast (very limited and not the best quality) but everything else was great.
Mirza S — Google review
Perfect location on the historic city centre of Paraty. The pousada is very charming, its staff very friendly. The included breakfast is very good, with a very good black coffee, something kind of difficult to find in hotels. The rooms are in the small side of the scale, but are very cozy. The bathroom of some suites has two showers: a normal one and a "roofless" one, so you can bathe under the stars.

If you look for a place to relax and treat yourself, this is the perfect one. We stayed there for two nights only and it was fantastic. The pictures on the instagram account just don't do the place justice, it is so beautiful. Jungle, birds chattering, beautiful cascade and surroundings, a cozy clean cabin, friendly staff, good food, the best massage ever. There is even good Wi-Fi signal, in case you need to do something urgent. Can't ask for more, I absolutely recommend it. Simone, the owner, was very attentive to our needs, and we felt very welcomed and well treated both from her and the staff. I am so grateful, for having followed someone else's recommendation to visit this place, and we look forward to coming back. Just a hint, if you plan to do other activities around, it is helpful to go there with your own vehicle, because it is not near the city (a plus in my opinion). Otherwise, the staff provided us with the contact of several private transport services, the one we took to return to Paraty (Sarah) was punctual, very friendly, and received credit card payment, everything uncomplicated.

It is an enjoyable 5-hour drive from Rio de Janeiro to Pousada Bromélias through the Serra da Bocaina National Park ... surprisingly one of the most spectacular road trips in the world that we have ever experienced in our decades of travel. This lovely boutique property on a tranquil mountain side is only 20 - 30 minutes from downtown Paraty. The 10 bungalows here are rustic amidst a well-maintained lush tropical landscape. Service from their charming staff is excellent. Breakfast is generous and the cooks/chefs deserve an award for simple but delicious healthy meals for lunch & dinner. We stayed here in a luxury bungalow for almost a week. Averaging about 2+ Mbps, in-house wi-fi at the restaurant, pool terrace and within the bungalow is very basic (and can obviously be further improved and brought up to par with better equipment & modern standards in order to meet guest expectations) ... but it is much better than nothing at all. Here in the wilderness, there is no 4G reception with TIM but with our CLARO simcard, we managed to get faint 1 Mbps download speeds on our phone. Kudos to the husband-and-wife management team of Igor & Maria ... and for their professionalism. Our respect & gratitude to everyone - from reception, dining, landscaping to house keeping - for taking good care of us during our visit and for their very kind hospitality. Pousada Bromélias is a pleasant and understated experience that we thoroughly enjoy and enthusiastically recommend! Stay here in comfort to escape from a crowded world.

Restaurante e Pizzaria Punto Divino is a popular Italian-inspired restaurant located in the heart of old Paraty. Despite its not-so-traditional locale, it offers a traditional trattoria experience with high-quality Italian pasta and pizzas. The outdoor garden provides a beautiful setting for enjoying signature dishes like classic linguine with clams while being serenaded by alluring samba music.
A Taste of Italy This classic Italian restaurant feels like stepping into a charming village straight out of Tuscany. The warm, lively atmosphere sets the perfect stage for the food—each dish is first-class, like the best meal you’ve ever cooked—but better. It’s not just a meal; it’s a mini Italian vacation. Excellent everything! We had our last meal at paraty at Punto Divino and there is no word enough to say how good the food was! We thoroughly enjoyed everything, the freshness and quantity of the meal was unmatched and our server was THE best!
Najiba S — Google review
I recently dined at Punto Divino, and overall, it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and professional without being intrusive. The ambiance was elegant and inviting, with a cozy yet refined atmosphere that made for a lovely evening out. The food was, without a doubt, the highlight. The dishes were beautifully presented, and the flavors were bold and perfectly balanced. I particularly enjoyed the Gnocchi which was cooked to perfection and paired with an exceptional wine recommendation from the sommelier. It was clear that the ingredients were of the highest quality, and the chefs took great care in their preparation. That said, while the food and service were top-notch, the prices were a bit on the high side. While I don’t mind paying for quality, the bill did feel a bit steeper than I expected for the portion sizes and offerings. It’s the kind of place where you’ll pay a premium for the experience, which, in many ways, is justified, but it may not be somewhere you visit frequently if you're on a budget. In conclusion, Punto Divino offers a fantastic dining experience with outstanding food and service, but be prepared to spend a little extra for the privilege. If you're looking for a special occasion or a memorable meal, it’s worth the splurge.

The pasta with pesto sauce was ok, but the pasta itself was kind of undercooked and dry. Took forever for my fish to arrive. Would not come back here ever.

Excellent service. Good pizza and parma ham, but pasta average though. Place also quite empty so still wondering why so much personnel... more than guests...

Great Italian restaurant, offers gluten free pasta despite not being on the menu. They had a choice of spaghetti or fusilli and it was lovely. They clearly understood gluten free - a real gem in Paraty

Delicious food and great service but the real highlight was the live music! These guys spoke with the audience, played music requests and made our night so enjoyable. Highly recommend, superb atmosphere!

Me and my family went there and saw the reviews of this place, and thought it was as good........... But it isn't really good.......... My wife had the pesto pasta, and it was ok,but, it was hard. They didn't cook it well...... And the pizza and the fish took so long!!!!! And it wasn't really worth the wait..................

Paraty Tours offer a chance to explore the hidden gem of Saco do Mamangua, Brazil's only tropical fjord. Visitors can immerse themselves in nature, paddle kayaks to secluded beaches, hike up Mamangua Sugarloaf for breathtaking views, and experience the mangrove in canoes while enjoying lunch with the local caicaras. A private touring boat provides a pleasant transfer from Mamangua to Paraty, stopping at islands and isolated beaches for a refreshing swim.
We took the boat tour with Paraty Tours on Netuno 2, and overall it was a great experience with stunning views of the mountains and islands. The stops to swim and relax on private beaches were definitely the highlights—peaceful, scenic, and refreshing. The onboard photographers were a nice touch and took amazing photos of us for a small fee, which made for a great souvenir. Food was delicious and drinks were well-made, though you should know you’re not allowed to bring your own snacks or beverages. One downside was the late departure—we were asked to arrive 30 minutes early for an 11:00 AM departure, but the boat didn’t leave until 11:20 because they waited for a late-arriving family. This cut into the overall tour time, which was frustrating for those of us who were on time. Still, the crew was friendly, the vibe was relaxed, and the scenery made up for the wait. Just a heads-up: arrive early, be patient, and bring some extra cash for food, drinks, and photos. Worth it for the experience, especially on a sunny day.

I went on a tour to the islands in Paraty Bay. I speak no Portuguese and the 2 boatmen made no effort to communicate safety issues with me, or anything else. A couple sitting near me spoke English so I kept asking them what I was missing. I read in the reviews here about food, I was offered water. I felt we moved quickly through the 5 stops, one stop should be cut, there was little room to move with all the folks there and not much to do. I heard from the couple about a waterfall at one of the stops, I would have enjoyed another activity besides the two times we snorkeled, and the beaches. Since it was Saturday, maybe it was more crowded than usual, but loud music and screaming kids spoiled the tranquility at some of the stops. The office staff, I worked with Pearl/Rosa, did a good job. I used Paraty Tours for a transfer from GRU airport, and enjoyed the driver Carlos. It was very efficient and I appreciated not having to pay for two people, since it was only me. I would recommend Paraty Tours to re examine their tours to try to offer something unique, instead of all the same beaches and lunch spot everyone visits.

We booked a 12 seater boat for a 5 island 6 hour tour. We were warned if there were not enough people we would be bumped to another tour. We were bumped! Same price 300 Brazil R but only 5 hours instead of 6 and a different destination. We went to the fjords with 3 beach stops and an 'optional' lunch stop. There were 7 of us on the 12 seater boat plus the driver. The driver spoke very little English....he could say hello and tell us how long we had at each stop. There was no welcome chat or safety briefing. The 9am tour left at 9 15am. The driver was explaining what we were seeing in Portuguese .... seaweed farms and starfish. Two other passengers were kind enough to translate for us. The weather wasn't brilliant and the sea was quite cold....so swimming was only for the brave. It is June so we can't blame the boat company for that! At 12 15pm we stopped for the 'optional' lunch for an hour. As we were expecting to be on a different tour we had bought our own food...pizza leftovers from dinner the night before. The stop was in a little village with a dirty beach. Not suitable for swimming. We ate our pizza and waited for the others to have lunch. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes. We then raced back to Paraty. We arrived back at 2pm. We felt we lost a considerable amount of time on this tour as it started late and the 'optional ' lunch overran, and we had nothing to do but sit in a closed beach bar and wait. We are covered in bites. Wouldn't recommend this company for boat tours. You don't get what you are sold and then booked. The punctuality is awful. The last beach isn't suitable for swimming. The driver doesn't speak English.

I had a group of 30 friends arriving from the US, coming to Brazil for the first time to celebrate our wedding. I booked: transfers from GRU x Paraty, Sao Paulo x Paraty, the Netuno boat 6 hours experience with meal on board, a Paraty walking tour (fully in English) and finally, transfers back to the city. Everything was executed with 100% precision, organization and the well-known Brazilian warmth. The staff from the admin office to drivers and the boat were very attentive and friendly. We had a flight delayed by 3 hrs for the GRU transfer, meaning my friends flying in from D.C. wld miss the scheduled bus. At 11:30pm Flavia made herself available to answer my emergency and safely rebooked my friends on a later transfer from GRU to Paraty. The food onbaord the Netuno was executed to utmost precision. Our group had dietary restrictions for gluten and peanut and they were able to accomodate all needs so that our passengers were safe. All of the water stops included paddle boards, snorkeing masks, floats etc. - our group had a amazing time! Everyone praised the experience overall. I highly recommend Paraty Tours if you need safe and reliable transfer to Paraty. This is my second time booking with them and will continue to do so in the feature.

Office – My interaction at the office was short, but even in that brief moment the staff were warm and welcoming. I had booked my ticket through my hotel, and when I showed up at the office feeling a bit lost, they kindly pointed me in the right direction with a big smile. Tour – I did the Schooner Da Vinci. The boat was large, clean, and well maintained, with very friendly staff. It also offered canoeing, paddleboarding, and snorkeling equipment you could use for free. Since there weren’t many people on board, it felt like we had the big boat all to ourselves. The language barrier was never an issue. I didn’t catch the employee’s name, but she was incredibly attentive and always checked in to make sure I didn’t feel left out, since I don’t speak Portuguese. All of the staff were friendly, relaxed, and made the trip even more enjoyable.

Would 100% recommend visiting and booking through Paraty Tours if you're visiting the town. When looking for info on transfers Catarina was super helpful and also suggested places to visit, and our transfer to Sao Paulo was great value and made extremely comfortable by the wonderful Tamires' hospitality and excellent driving. We're very grateful and feel lucky to have had the pleasure. Obrigado!

Great tour office, friendly and well organised staff. We took a day boat trip around Paraty Bay Islands on Netuna 1. such a fabulous day. Locations were beautiful, nothing was rushed and we had plenty of time to swim at each stop. Food was freshly cooked and delicious too. All of the crew were friendly and fun and made the day a special one… thank you! www.thehungrytravellers.blog

A few points: The coffee shop could be better. Have a bar where we could buy water, juices, and sodas. Offer a snack menu for the afternoon or evening, as many people want to stay at the hotel. Everyone enjoys afternoon coffee. So we can buy something. Everything I've said here is only for improvement. I highly recommend it. Quiet, family-friendly inn. Super indico Pousada tranquila, familiar .

Pousada Bambubamboo is a tranquil riverside retreat with 12 spacious rooms, each equipped with a minibar, cable TV, and efficient air conditioning. Although not centrally located, it's easily accessible by car in just 10 minutes. The inn boasts ample green space and hammocks for relaxation, an outdoor pool, and a spa offering massage services. While the sauna is small, it serves its purpose well. Guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast in the open-air dining room.
A beautiful lodge, located only blocks from Paratys partying downtown, just a few blocks in a straight line but not so close as to disturb your sleep.

Although it is not very close to the center, it is very easy to get there in 10 minutes by car. The parking lot reserved for the inn does not accommodate all the rooms. The sauna is small and serves its purpose. The sauna was disabled. The space of the inn is very good, with lots of greenery and hammocks to rest. The massage service has to be scheduled and costs around 100 reais. I missed a bar service for the pool users. But I consider the cost-benefit very good for the daily rate of 250 reais. They ask for a minibar in the room, because I wanted to drink water, but there was none. At least in the room I stayed in, number 8, there was none. The internet is also a serious problem in the inn itself, it does not work properly. There is a well-maintained garden and a swimming pool that is also in good condition. Additionally, the tour provides onboard massages in perfect harmony with the local landscape, ensuring a peaceful and tranquil experience for complete relaxation.
(Translated by Google) I took the tour on December 30, 2024. The schooner is large and very stable at sea. There is a cover charge of R$10.00 per person for the musician. It was worth it, as it is entertainment throughout the navigation to the islands. The schooner leaves the pier at 11:30 am. I suggest arriving at 9:30/10:00 am to be able to sit on the second floor of the boat and thus be able to sit at a table with chairs. Much more comfortable than going on the lower floor. Lunch on the boat costs around R$60 for a set meal. The tour is worth it, I recommend it to anyone who wants to go, especially since the beaches near the center of Paraty are not suitable for swimming. Tour cost: R$110.00/person. You can pay at the pier on the same day you go on the tour. (Original) Fiz o passeio dia 30 de dezembro de 2024. Escuna grande e bem estável no mar. It was a 5-hour tour with 4 stops, but we disembarked in only 3. There are restrooms and they offer drinks every hour, as well as rental life jackets and snorkel goggles—but there's free pasta! I found the service on the boat very prompt; they took our orders within the first half-hour of the tour, which made things much faster. At the end of the third stop, they started serving, then they offered dessert, and we finished before arriving at the pier—no line, no rush. We ordered a portion of sirloin steak, very good and expensive, like everything else in Paraty. The bill included a service charge and couvert. The Wi-Fi worked great, and extra kudos to the singer, Tonn Moreira, who was very talented and even helped serve. Our bill came to 145 reais (a portion of sirloin steak + a can of Coke + service charge + couvert). About the stops: The first was at Cocos Island: incredibly beautiful! Then, we disembarked at Praia Vermelha, and from there, lunch was served. We stopped at Ilha da Pescaria for a leisurely lunch and then continued on to Praia da Conceição, which is very close by. All were beautiful! We really enjoyed the experience (it's worth mentioning that we went during the week, in May, so the boat was full but not overcrowded).

They are beautiful beaches and great for swimming. Regarding the service on the schooner, I kept looking for lunch, the drinks I ordered, the soda and everything else I ordered. I also suggest that you pay attention to the orders when you go to pay, because they charge a couvert (which is not informed upon boarding) and something may come wrong. In our case, they charged us for two portions of calabresa, when only one came, and I had to keep looking for it, which is why I didn't pay the 10% that is also charged. I suggest that the administrator organizes himself better and always makes it clear what the tour includes and does not include, thus avoiding problems later.

(Translated by Google) Rating 3 for the overall evaluation. Rating 5 for the musician Rating 1 for the bathrooms on the boat Rating 5 for the scenery Rating 3 for not stopping at an island with better facilities for a snack bar, restaurant and clean bathrooms. We were on a family tour in Paraty, during the morning and afternoon. Incredible scenery. However, the bathrooms on the boat were unfit for use and needed renovations to improve hygiene and privacy. The tour is incredible due to the scenery, but when it comes to evaluating the boat, the rating drops significantly. With improvements, stopping at places with better facilities in the middle of the tour, and renovations to the bathrooms, it would be better and more enjoyable.

(Translated by Google) Bad for some, great for others. For me, it was great. It has one less stop than the other schooners (there are many). However, the tour is an hour longer on average, which means you stay a little longer at each stop. There is live music (MPB), but it doesn't bother those who want to contemplate and chat. If you're the type who wants to party, choose another one. This one is more for families and those who want to enjoy the stops and contemplate the tour. A great tip that a local guide gave us and that we followed was to arrive an hour before the tours that start at 11 am, check the itineraries, what kind of music the schooner uses, and see if the boat appeals to you. It worked out really well for us. If you arrive at the last minute, you'll end up with a bad seat on any boat.

This greatly facilitates access to some smaller beaches where land access is difficult. The vessel has a bar, kitchen, and table service. The menu is very comprehensive, and I also really enjoyed the service.

(Translated by Google) Worst boat trip I've ever been on! A boat with more than 190 people on board, you have no room for anything, you can't even stand up, I don't recommend it to anyone. The menu is absurd and not worth the price of the ticket. Don't go, I don't recommend it. Historical landmark
Caminho do Ouro, also known as the Gold Trail, gained prominence in the 17th century when Portuguese missionaries and gold miners established Paraty and its surrounding area. The region's significance waned by the late 18th century after the depletion of gold reserves and completion of missionary work. However, a revival occurred with the rise of coffee and cachaca trade. It wasn't until the 1970s that Caminho do Ouro began to attract significant attention from tourists.
