Western City is a Wild West-themed amusement park located in the picturesque countryside of Karpacz, Poland. Spanning across 65 hectares, this attraction features various western-style buildings such as saloons and sheriff's offices, along with entertaining activities like archery competitions and staged bank robberies. Visitors can also interact with animals including horses, goats, cows, and donkeys. The park offers a nostalgic experience of Poland before the end of communism.
A place worth to visit, unique and nice vibes, kind staff specially the man who rides you the horse. It would be great to have more animals like cows and activities of interaction with animals like milking, washing, etc. We paid: 46 PLN/Adult + 15 PLN for parking.
Fahed B — Google review
Went on a Sunday at 2 PM. Huuuge prices. The entrance fee of 50 Zl per person (only cash) was outrageously high given the fact that almost all attractions were closed. The show was barely a few minutes long (bank robbery). The actors were less then enthusiastic to play the roles. Very few anymals and mostly hidden away. Only the small train was open. Food and drinks were ok. Would not have gone If I had known that everything is closed.
Robert F — Google review
This a wonderful kids tourist spot. It really is mainly for kids. Came during the summer and weather was perfect. Kids horse rides, bouncy house, and a bull ride for all ages. I had fun as a an adult. Can spend a couple of hours here.
Oz D — Google review
If you want to experience how Poland was before it abandoned communism, you need to visit this place. No pictures or words can do this place justice. It’s definitely worth the entrance fee just for the comedic value alone. Alarms bells should have sounded when we pulled into the “car park “ and got charged 15 złotys for the privilege to park. We came here on a grey Sunday morning and thought we would struggle to get half an hour’s entertainment…..two hours later we were still rolling around the floor laughing! Ignore the review below about one of the attractions “just being a pole in the ground “, we were particularly impressed by this pole, it was shiny and at least 2.5 metres tall, definitely not worthy of being called “just a pole”! When you think the place has hit a low point you find they’ve conjured up another cultural misappropriation.

Overall its OK, but for the second time not worth to go there. Card acceptance only in the restaurant and gift shop. Take a lot of cash as thats main thing. Also lack of management which reflects on a quality of experience.

Mountain cabin
Samotnia is a charming mountain hostel located in the Karkonosze Mountains, offering basic rooms and dorms for accommodation. The interior of the hostel reflects local culture and creativity, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Despite small rooms with shared showers, the welcoming environment and social experience make it an ideal retreat for cultural immersion and community connections. The hostel also features dining options, a climbing wall, and access to a ski center.
It's a perfect place to get food while hiking in the area. Lovely cosy and warm interior even on a cold miserable day. Friendly staff who are also able to speak English (which helps if you have only rusty Polish, sorry). Delicious food like Pierogi or Soups. Recommend the Pancakes, so fluffy! Sad that you have to pay for the toilet, but this doesn't effect the quality of the whole experience. Dziękuję!
Cai P — Google review
Cheap beds (sheets cost extra) and nice surrounding. Food and drinks are comparably expensive. Not enough toilets, can be a problem, when it's full. Almost no vegan choices on the menu (only fries), but you can ask for the letscho.
An J — Google review
Nestled in the mountains, this small house exudes a vibrant charm, capturing the essence of local culture. The interior is a testament to creativity, enhancing the overall atmosphere. The open and talkative locals contribute to a welcoming environment, creating a unique social experience. While rooms may be small with shared showers, the amazing vibe compensates, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking cultural immersion and community connections.
Norb N — Google review
Perfect idilic location. Good options for basic foods, and cold beers. Lacks overall seating, but on a summers day, great spot to chill after the hike up. Average 1hr to the spot of walking.
Raj B — Google review
We spent at this beautiful place one night. They accommodated our 29-member school group. 100 zloty for dinner, bed and breakfast. One can buy refreshments in their bar. It is possible to pay with a card or with zloty. They do not accept Czech crowns, however, one can exchange them at the reception. The stuff is nice. The place is very cosy, mostly wooden, a bit shabby in a lovely way. I do not like modern polished cold designs so this was something for me.:) Me and my colleague liked the atmosphere and the style a lot and want to return in winter. The cottage is situated in a rocky valley surrounded by a lake. The view when you are descending to the cottage is just fantastic. The only complication is that there are not sockets to charge your mobile phones, etc. you must do it in the restaurant/bar. So it is good to have an extra battery charged if you are going to stay here.
Šárka O — Google review
Worst sleep on the hike, beds was bad. They've opted out from providing sockets in the rooms so you need to sit in corridors/dinning hal to get some charge. Getting room heating seems to be a lottery as well as warm water in the shower - personally didn't get either (froze in night and topped it with cold shower). Food is more overpriced than other shelters. Only thing to balance bad experience is nice service.
Dominik M — Google review
Beautiful lake, but incredibly crowded. Too many tourists. And not those good tourists like hikers that have respect for nature, but that kind that comes within 2km from the lake by car and then goes there in high heels. The trash tourists. The cabin by the lake is crowded, impossible to sit down and quite expensive. For me it is a place in Krkonose to avoid next time. Not worth it.
Jan N — Google review
Great stop when you want to rest and eat something. Stunning landscape (Little Pond), good atmosphere and you can pay by card here. Hovever, everything is quite expensive here and you have to be prepared that your bill can be two times higher than typical one from restaurant. But the food is very good.

Wang Church is a 12th-century wooden church that was originally located in Norway and later transported to Karpacz, Poland in the 19th century. The church's architecture resembles Viking longships, adding to its historical and cultural significance. Visitors can also explore the picturesque Karkonosze National Park nearby, known for its rare plant and animal species as well as breathtaking landscapes.
this beautiful charming wooden church offers a glimpse into the past with its unique design and craftsmanship. Tour is available with a small fee. Don’t miss the stunning views of the valley from the small cemetery. Parking fee: 5€ per hour.
Hong P — Google review
It's a very historically important church. It's a wooden church with beautiful exterior architecture. There's a small cemetery surrounding the church. While many churches in Poland are free to enter, this one costs 14 zł, with an additional 5 zł if you have a camera. I didn't go in because there were large groups of people inside.
Ruslan M — Google review
Worth to see, very nice little wooden church with beautiful well maintained grounds. Ticket is cheap and you can spend there as much time as you want. To there there you can leave your car on paid parking and take a walk. Some little shops and coffee places around. View is spectacular
Lena — Google review
A small wooden Viking-style church surrounded by a small old cemetery. The steep trip up will reward you with breathtaking views. What I don’t accept personally is paying an entrance fee to a church!

Ski resort
Winterpol White Jar Karpacz is a bustling ski mountain offering a lift, rentals, and classes, as well as summertime family activities. The area boasts two large ski resorts - Karpacz Ski Arena and Winterpol Karpacz Bialy Jar - along with smaller slopes catering to both beginners and experienced skiers. Visitors can enjoy various ski routes with different difficulty levels. The location provides good value for money with options for daily or weekly passes.
Good as always , surprised there was no queues but it was weekday , nice gondolas heated seats , good ski rental close by , coffee ,food , toilets.
D B — Google review
As a first time skier who invited friends from overseas to experience the magic of Poland, I got to say, this place is quite a disappointment. The staff at the chairlift were rude, unhelpful, and about as welcoming as a forest fire. Compared to Czech, Poland still has a lot to learn about customer service. The abrasive attitude of the ladies in the ticket booth will stay in my memory forever. Unfortunately the same goes for the booth where we rented ski equipment. No help whatsoever with fitting the shoes.
Marcus N — Google review
Easy to medium difficulty slope. Recommend for beginners or families. We have been there the whole family and we took an instructor for the our kids' first time. Everything went well and we enjoyed the time a lot. The only issue was the overcrowded and barely organised queue to the ski lift. Unsure if that is cultural, but lots of people were rushing through the queues basically breaking it with no shame. If the queue thing is your trigger I would recommend to take extra patience or adapt.
Yury G — Google review
Extremely long queue to ski lift. Mainly flat slope only for beginners. If you got any idea of skiing or snowboarding you won’t enjoy it at all
Łukasz N — Google review
Too much people, too expensive, the track is too short. I've never seen worse. You are better off going to the czech side, not gonna lie. No offense.
Ondřej J — Google review
The lift is quite new and good. The slope is just a bit small
Joao V — Google review
We came from abroad and wanted to ski this slope, as skiing/snowboarding is possible here until 9 pm. We paid about 30-35 euros for a day ticket. The staff on site are anything but not friendly. No one smiles or jokes a little. However, it is absolutely incomprehensible that nobody, really NOBODY, speaks English! In today's world, especially as an employee in the middle of a ski resort - at the ticket office or at the information desk - is an absolute no-go! The slope itself is satisfying! The descent takes a maximum of 2 minutes, if at all! The exit is a complete disaster, no one there takes it into account. There is actually no regulation at all on how to behave there. There was smoking on the slopes, smoking on skis while riding and even smoking in the lift! In general, the track was often traveled, especially at the end of the slope in which you brake, there was a lot of ice.. You can eat and drink on site. There are several "restaurants", even one that advertises "Grill & Bar" but where you don't get anything grilled but just noodles. All in all, I wouldn't recommend it!!
Seba — Google review
The parking is horrible, The 80% of the track was ice. The stuff is horrible. After barely finding a (paid) parking spot on top of the slope, we needed to go down for renting and everything, but you are not allowed to walk in the area, nor to use the lift, and they don't sell any tickets on top. So the bottom even more expensive parking is your only option to begin. (yes there is a road and you can also get on top by car as it is a small ski resort) The Lift was broken for two whole hours, we had 2-day tickets and when we tried to refund them because it broke on the first day, they refused. Also, nobody really speaks English. 2 of the trails are really narrow and short, where they at the end merge with the green road and end in a few meters. This was supposed to be a place for beginners but the absence of a normal snow I guess makes it harder for them as well. Better to just go to the other Ski resort that is literally on top of this one and for some reason, it is not on the maps. (belongs to another company so no shared tickets)

The Private Museum of Technology and Structures featuring Lego Blocks is an impressive tourist attraction that exceeds expectations. The museum showcases excellent exhibits with meticulous attention to detail, capturing the interest of both children and adults. Adjacent to the main museum is the Video Console museum, which offers a fantastic collection of classic playable games. A visit to this place is highly recommended as it provides an enjoyable experience for all ages. However, it's worth noting that there are no restroom facilities in the museum or nearby bars.
If you are a Lego fan, then you will definitely enjoy this museum. I enjoyed seeing all the Lego sets from my childhood 70s/80s and the highlight being the Star Wars room. My young son had a lot of fun lighting up the displays and operating the trains, planes, cable cars, rockets etc.
Bach P — Google review
I was very surprised to find this kind of museum in this kind of place, and it was pretty nice! I felt myself as a kid again and the exhibition is made by people who are in love with their job, thank you guys attaching happy Lego husbando Jpeg x)
Alina K — Google review
Very impressive exhibition of interactive lego scenes that are setup with lighting, music and sound effects. These are like the scenes you see in Lego advertisements that almost no one builds in real life. It is interactive in the in most of the exhibits you can press a button or joystick that you’d typically see in a model train museum. There are frames on the wall showcasing how legos have changed over the years and they also have many of the massive legos like the Titanic, Millenium Falcon and others. I didn’t see the Star Wars ATAT robot. There’s a small play area which didn’t gave many legos to play with and only had space for about 5 kids to play. Important to note - all the exhibits are behind glass like an art museum but you can get close to everything. This multi floor exhibit has many rooms on each floor. The kids will love it. Mine spent 1 hour on the exhibits and 1 hour playing. They’d stay longer but it was the afternoon already and lunch had yet to be had, so to avoid the, you know, disaster, we left to eat. There were a few groups in there but there was no wait and we didn’t have to wait to see any exhibits. Warning - legos are for sale at the entry. And you know your kids will want to buy EVERYTHING.
Jeff — Google review
This is an incredible place. It’s a must-visit for every Lego fan and everyone who kept the child within. You can spend hours here and find some new lovingly detail. I found so many memories to my childhood. Highly recommended!
Marco S — Google review
This place was lit. The Lego museum was good to see how Lego has evolved from the 70's to now. Kids would definitely love this place. And then there was the video games museum. I can't explain the feeling I had when I was walking in between all those old games and consoles. Super Mario, tanks, tekken, road rash and price of Persia and lots of other games you could play just like you did 20 years ago. Takes you back
Arun T — Google review
Excellent. I was not expecting such a good little museum! Great displays, a lot of attention and small details, and the adjoining Video Console museum was excellent as well with a brilliant collection and lots of classic playable games. I suggest a visit to anyone!
Krzysztof W — Google review
It's the best LEGO museum. Lots of interactive elements. I am a LEGO maniac and enjoyed every moment of the visit.

Karpacz Ski Arena is a popular destination in the Karkonosze Mountains of Poland, near the Czech border. The area offers a variety of activities for visitors, including skiing, hiking, and sightseeing. The 2,200m-long chair lift provides access to the top of Śnieżka mountain, making it an ideal spot for both winter and summer adventures. Skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts can enjoy multiple slopes suitable for different skill levels, with instructors available to assist.
Only Liczykrupa open at the moment , good snow little icy at the bottom, no queues not many ppl today and it was Friday . Equipment rental limited .

Very positive experience. The staff were super helpful and friendly and made sure we have enough time to get on/off the chairlift with our 3yo child. The chairlift went very smoothly without any dragging or swiveling. It's wheelchair accessible. You can also bring a stroller up to Kopa.
Victoria S — Google review
We were not quite sure if it would be opened the day we wanted to use it. But it was a great experience. Not as expensive as some lifts in Austria or Switzerland and you can skip most of the way to the top of the Sniezka.

Super crowded during summer holiday. Sugest to Come till 10:30. One of the Must to do.
Jiří B — Google review
270pln for 3 hikers to go up on chair lift ONCE 🤯 Worse price than cable car in Zakopane. Last lift down at 5:30pm, we missed it, had NO IDEA how to return. When buying 2-way tickets at 4:00pm, agent DIDN'T BOTHER to mention that the last lift down is at 5:30pm; they have same open hours as a library. To compare, Zakopane cable car runs until 9pm! After we were stuck, no instructions on how to get down safely around the lift. Absolute waste of money. Plan to do the hike, arrive early, and don't waste money on this lift.

great place to go skiing and rent them. there is a slope for beginners to ski. for snowboarding, there is a separate slope elsewhere. on weekends there are a lot of activities, games and tents with different food. there are instructors who help and 3 different slopes. Nearby there is a waterfall very beautiful.

Karkonoskie Tajemnice is a fantasy park in Karpacz, Poland that unveils the secrets of the Giant Mountains through models, dioramas, and waxwork displays. It's a unique place suitable for families with kids or anyone fascinated by myths and legends. The legend of the Spirit of Mountains is deeply rooted in Karkonosze, and visitors can embark on an immersive journey through time and space as they explore its underground passages.
Really well designed museum with interactive components. I think it's specifically good for families with kids aged 6 to 10. We came in the morning and the place was pretty empty, so we could take our time with all the interactive elements.

I love hiking. For me, climbing Snowwhite ( Śnieżka) was the best experience in Karpacz. For my 9 years old son visit in Karkonoskie Tajemnice was on the top of the list. We both had a great time. It's fantastic interactive experience for all family members! Do you want to know some old highlanders legends? Do you want your children to embrace the culture ? This is the place to visit.
Monika S — Google review
Very interesting exhibition that explores various local stories and lore about the mountain spirit, with cool interactive elements. It takes about 30min-1 hour to explore everything although you can take a longer time to find all the hidden details. Non Polish speakers are given a tablet with translation for each section so it's really convenient. I think it might be a little scary for young children (5 & below) but there's no jump scare or anything, just the overall vibe and sound effects. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Karpacz.
Linh H — Google review

A very interesting and well thought out interactive exhibition. Provides a journey through a fantasy world giving a visual form to local myth and legends. Good place for +6 children to investigate. Smaller children may be frightened. The friendly girl at reception gave us tablets that had English translations. A great experience for all the family

I had great time there. The whole museum was interactive and tried to entertain visitors with many activities. What i liked the most was the facts that you could activate a voice which was telling you a story by pressing green buttons set in various places all over the walls. I would recommend visiting this place for people with small kids, because for them it's the unforgettable experience (Also the coffee they serve is delicious :) )

The park also offers a fantastic playground with a miniature observatory and a summer pontoon slide.
The main thing my kids loved here was the tube sledding. This a paid playground with story stations which are told in Polish only - it is separate from the tube sledding and can be done without buying tickets to the playground. The playground is nicer than the free ones around town. My kids weren’t interested in the stories even if they were in were in English. Hidden around the back side are more activities including a big trampoline, sand digger stations, as well as a ball shooting air gun (extra fee). The tube sledding is a lot of fun so be prepared to buy extra tickets. 5zl for one 20zl for five rides. We must gave bought 10-15 rides and another 10 rides the next morning. Each ticket to the playground includes 1 tube ride. There’s a cafe next door if the parents want to get a snack, dessert, beer etc.

Very nice. Small children enjoys the attractions + i appreciate the small fable houses
Lukáš V — Google review
Overrated. Ads everywhere to this place and what do you get? Just a glorified playground with an expensive entry, payable only in cash. Water park was not even working. Closing time is 18.00 (end of October), however there is not a single lamp, so the whole place is dark by 17.00. So a big disappointment for us.

Nice place for smaller children to run around. Lots of different activities, the usual play park equipment and more. The bajki are in Polish only, so keep that in mind. They are animatronic scenes which tell a fairy tale when you press the button. Don't walk there from the centre of town, get the road train.

Nice place for family with children for the whole day long.

All stories are cut short to 2- 3 min, but that didnt ruin them. Good weather is a must, as this is a big playground for kids with old legends booths "hidden" arround. You can come and go freely with a ticket for a day.
Tom — Google review
Good place for kids. There is nice playground, pontoon slide and several cottages with interactive stuff - kid can push the button to listen to fairy tale and see moving toys inside. Here os dedicated parking lot for a few cars, clean toilet and some kind of bar when you can eat and drink something keeping an eye on kids. The only disadvantage is a tickets policy - this place offers nothing for adults. All you can do is to take care of your childs. And you can pay for this - you have to buy separate ticket to get in. Luckily tickets are not especially expensive.

The Meteorological Mountain Observatory is a must-visit for dreamers, meteorite enthusiasts, and adventure seekers. The building's unique silhouette resembles a flying saucer and houses an exhibition of meteorological instruments. Visitors can witness these instruments in action and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Karkonosze from the highest terrace. While it may be closed at times, the stunning views make the effort to reach it worthwhile.
Amazing views all around. Deffinetly worth the effort to go up. If you cannot do it there is a chacne to go by an airbus what takes you close to the top.

Entrance to the Giant Mountains National Park offers access to the largest protected natural area in Central Europe, connecting with Karkonosze National Park in Poland. Covering a total of 425 square kilometers, with 370 on the Czech side and a 184 square kilometer buffer zone, it provides pleasant hikes with beautiful views and moderate climbs. The well-maintained paths lead to Snieszka mountain and offer a good walking experience for mountain enthusiasts.

A pleasant hike with beautiful views and not too hard climb. It's also possible to get to Snieszka maontain from here The paths are well taken cared, although due to rocky style traks it makes it less comfortable to walk than others.

I don't think it is worth paying 10 zloty for entrance. There are no signs anywhere to guide hikers. Only signs are at the top which were put by cable car. I took the wrong route and had to go back. Nothing is done to "improve tourist service"

Chapel
St. Lawrence's Chapel, located on the highest peak of the Karkonosze Mountains and the Sudetes, has a rich history dating back to the 17th century. Initially built as St. Wawrzyniec chapel, it attracted pilgrims from distant territories over time. The area also became home to Czech Protestants seeking refuge during the Thirty Years War.
Whether you climb up to Snežka mountain or take the new cablecar from Pec pod Sněžkou, it is definitely worth visiting this place full of magnificent views. A favorite place for weddings too. :-)

(Translated by Google) The chapel was built in 1681 and regularly celebrated mass there for 129 years. It underwent a series of vicissitudes. Then, for 40 years, it served as a tourist shelter. In 1850, its sacred function was restored. It was consecrated three times, the last time in 2000. Every year on August 10th, a pilgrimage mass is held in honor of St. Lawrence and the Sudetes Guides' Day. The vestibule is currently open (hours and days unknown), and the chapel's interior can be viewed through a grate. Od 1850 przywrócono jej rolę sakralną. Wyświęcana była trzykrotnie ostatni raz w 2000 roku. Co roku 10 sierpnia odbywa się msza odpustowa ku czci św. Wawrzyńca i święta przewodników sudeckich. (Translated by Google) The Chapel of St. Lawrence on Śnieżka is a very atmospheric, narrow, yet cozy place where you can briefly escape the wind or rain. It has something special about it—standing here since 1665, it is the oldest building on Śnieżka. Built by Count Christoph Schaffgotsch as a pilgrimage chapel, it also served as a shelter for tourists and pilgrims for many years. Interestingly, for many years, regular masses were held here, and once a year, on August 10th—St. Lawrence's Day—mountain guides from Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany gather here to celebrate. The interior is very modest, with a stark wooden interior and stone walls, but it has an incredible atmosphere. If the weather is bad, it's the perfect place to stop for a moment, warm up, and experience the history of this place.

(Translated by Google) They teach nicely. Minus - no opportunity to practice driving for beginners without an instructor. It's a good restaurant, but in my opinion the prices are not adequate to the taste and quality. The casserole was tasteless, there was too much sauce and it had no taste either. Pork chops and fries ok. Another faux pas is serving one table in installments, i.e. someone finishes the dish and someone continues to wait for it (without prior notice). (Original) Uczą fajnie. Minus-brak możliwości ćwiczenia jazdy dla początkujących bez instruktora. Restauracja może być, choć ceny wg mnie nieadekwatne do smaku i jakości. The Alpine Coaster is an innovative toboggan track that allows rides regardless of the season.
A great place for fun and adventure for all ages, it delights. One more thing is that this ride is good for a couple like a girl (ap. 5feet) smaller than her partner, only 30zł-2 punkte is the advantage of buying a ticket together so, you can ride together. I was a bit scared and exited on my first ride but the second time it was really fun and yes their staff was also kind, respectful and helpful. I highly recommend this place for fun with your child or partner.

(Original) Piękna kolekcja minerałów na dodatek udostepniona bezpłatnie. Na miejscu sklepik z minerałami i biżuterią. Wiele z eksponatów pochodzi z terenów naszego kraju.
