Brno Zoo, located in the lively city of Brno in the Czech Republic, is a popular destination for families and nature enthusiasts. Established in 1953, this zoo is home to over 1,800 animals from nearly 400 different species. Visitors can observe a diverse range of creatures, including tigers, bears, monkeys, lemurs, fish, and reptiles.
It's my first time to visit other country's local zoo. Brand new experience for me in my life. Tiger, Owl, Capypala, Lion, Giraffe, Crocodile, Camel, Zebra, Carrot, Lynx, Alpaca, Anaconda.... various animals in the wild. I love it. Tickets price is reasonable, transportation is very convenient by tram #1 between Brno Zoo and Brno downtown. Thanks Brno zoo and team.

Practical Information Opening hours (April to September): 9 AM to 6 PM (ticket offices close 1 hour earlier). Tickets (March to October): Adults: 190 CZK (~$8.50) Students/seniors/children (ages 3–15)/people with disabilities: 130 CZK (~$5.80) Dogs: 100 CZK (~$4.50) Main Attractions Beringia: home to brown bears, arctic foxes, lynxes, and wolves. Feeding events: scheduled feeding of lions, seals, llamas, and more — with guided viewing. Zoo Brno is one of Central Europe’s top zoos, combining panoramic views, a wide variety of species (around 400), renowned conservation programs, and great infrastructure for families. It’s an ideal visit for both kids and adults — offering a mix of fun and learning.

An interesting place not only for children. Large enclosures for animals are well equipped. It is possible to climb to the highest point of the park in a special trolley. There is a cafe with snacks and drinks, a restaurant, and a toilet on the territory. You will find drinking water dispensers everywhere. There are playgrounds for children everywhere.
Liudmyla K — Google review
I recently had the opportunity to volunteer at Brno Zoo, helping with cleaning and maintenance, and I also spent time exploring the zoo afterward. The zoo is impressively wide and spacious, offering plenty of room to roam and discover a vast variety of animals. It truly felt like a well-maintained and safe environment, both for the animals and the visitors. Volunteering gave me a closer look at the effort that goes into keeping everything clean and comfortable for the animals. I highly recommend visiting if you want to see diverse wildlife and enjoy a safe, welcoming outdoor experience.
Summer M — Google review
Smaller, more walk-y zoo. Student ticket price is very nice. I visited on a winter weekday and it was almost completely empty, which I really liked. From what I saw, there seem to be places to sit, eat or drink, but I only noticed one souvenir shop. My biggest point of excitement was the amount of uncommon animals we saw. Thing is, I'm not sure a casual visitor cares about the 6 different types of pigeon or lizards that one cannot see much elsewhere. The enclosures are decent from what I can tell, it didn't look like any of the animals suffered. I also liked that many animals got very close to the visitors and seemed somewhat curious. I'll probably visit again in the summer. One note I should mention - when I was visiting, the polar bear exhibit was closed and so the route was interrupted. Plus points for a zoo cat that crawled into my lap while I was sitting around, minus points for mice in parrot enclosure
Elajz M — Google review
I was quite affraid to visit this zoo after reading some bad reviews but after all was not dissapointed at all. Really cool perspective that it is located on the hill, I could've never imagened how good it would look and especially feel for animals who are tend to live not on the flat terrain. Yet it is quite outdated with some trashy benches but on other hand it is very organic and creates great atmosphere. There were SOME exhibitions closed but still plenty to see. We couldn't managed to go everywhere with our 2yo in 3 hours! Plenty places to eat, for kids to play and just relax. Not too crowded. Littlr train is great idea when you have small kids but it would be great if it was electric one, not the stinky.
Tomas S — Google review
Lady at the ticket booth was really impolite, otherwise the zoo was lovely. If you go during the week it’s almost empty, which is nice, however be prepared that most of the food stands will be closed.
Tereza G — Google review
Super nice zoo. Very wide-breeding and very natural as if you were walking through a forest. Most special is because of the design you can get very close to the animals and see them up close

Villa Tugendhat, a masterpiece of modernist architecture, was designed by architect Ludwig van der Rohe in 1929 and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The villa, located in a prestigious residential area, showcases an open-plan design and innovative use of materials such as onyx, chrome, travertine, and ebony. Guided tours offer visitors the chance to explore this iconic building that represents the cutting-edge technology and concepts of its time.
UNESCO World Heritage site. An absolutely must-see building designed by architect Mies van der Rohe. A quiet and relaxing place. We were only able to visit the exterior since the interior tours are fully booked three months in advance. Downstairs, there is a small shop with a few exhibition pieces and souvenirs
SIB — Google review
Amazing experience! An absolutely iconic building – Villa Tugendhat is a must-see. We only joined the outside tour, but the whole experience was much more than I expected. The architecture and atmosphere are truly breathtaking. Our tour guide was also fantastic – even though we booked in Czech (the only option available), we were kindly given information in English as well. A big thank you to our guide on August 19th at 10:30, who gave us extra explanations in English – it made the visit even more special. Highly recommended!
Tom G — Google review
we were able to get last minute tickets for the outside tour. very informative and well worth it. thoroughly enjoyed. highly recommend.
Bobbi-Jean N — Google review
The most impressive Mies van der Rohe villa I've ever visited. Overwhelming in its sheer size. The mandatory guided tour is of appalling quality. A young woman babbled indistinctly in a flat voice. The previous guide and his group ignored the allotted time, forcing our group to wait interminably and then being rushed through the villa at breakneck speed. Then there's the morbid realization that the Jewish initiators and residents, like virtually all artists in Czechoslovakia, even Cápek himself, were murdered by German Nazism.
John K — Google review
Villa Tugendhat has been on my list for years, but I never made the trip to Brno until now. It completely exceeded expectations. It’s huge — a dream for anyone who loves modernism and mid-century design. The views of the city and the surrounding park are stunning. The only caveat: the gift shop could use better designed merch, especially for a site this iconic. A must see visit in person
Adeline K — Google review
It was a shock for me to see such a futuristic villa in 1930 by the master Meis Von Der Rohe The main feeling it’s one floor amazing Design But soon you will see it is 2 floors I couldn’t get inside as it is Monday I had to sleep over on Brno to get inside it tomorrow It’s a must see for any architect or designer or art lover The round glass by the door is so advanced by that time and the opening through the building into the garden and the mountains of Brno is so advanced and timeless
Rma Y — Google review
Beautiful House, Wonderful Guide – Can’t Wait to See the Inside 👏🏼 We had a lovely outside tour of the house and were so impressed. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and went out of their way to translate and explain everything in English, which really helped us connect with the history and architecture. The house itself is stunning—truly a must-see in Brno. We’re already looking forward to coming back for an interior tour next time. ❤️

Nestled in the heart of Brno, Czech Republic, Špilberk Castle is a captivating medieval fortress that dates back to the 13th century. Originally constructed by King Premysl Otakar II as a royal residence, it evolved into a formidable baroque stronghold and later gained notoriety as one of the most notorious prisons during the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Known as 'the prison of nations,' its dungeons housed political prisoners and revolutionaries alike.
Climbing the castle was not easy in this incredible summer weather. People on foot should be careful. It must have been hard. It would have been nice if there was still shade of trees. The trees didn't block much sunlight. It was really hard to climb the hill in hot weather. Then I went into the museum of the castle, which was big and had several rooms, but it was not good because I had to carry and see a booklet in English. Viewing is possible up to the third floor. It was convenient because there was a clean bathroom.

Definitely worth a visit. You can spend hours here. I went for the museum and there are three levels you can explore. You get to learn about the castle‘s history and architecture. There are also exhibitions for you to explore and many art pieces for you to marvel at. Please note it is definitely a hike up! Recommend to wear appropriate shoes.

Špilberk Castle in Brno, Czech Republic, is a top destination for visitors seeking history and charm. Easily walkable from the city center, the castle offers a scenic uphill stroll with rewarding views. Its exhibitions are excellent, detailing the castle’s transformation from a medieval stronghold to a Baroque prison, with captivating displays of artifacts. The stories of prisoners, once confined in the castle’s eerie casemates, bring to life the harsh realities of their imprisonment under Habsburg rule. The castle’s restaurant, located on-site, provides a cozy spot to enjoy traditional Czech cuisine or lighter fare, complementing the nearby café for snacks and drinks. The highlight remains the castle’s beautifully tended garden, a tranquil oasis perfect for relaxing. Špilberk Castle blends rich history, engaging exhibits, dining options, and stunning gardens, making it a must-see in Brno.

Špilberk Castle is a captivating hilltop fortress that blends rich history with captivating views. Dating back to the 13th century, it evolved from royal seat to baroque citadel, infamous “prison of nations,” and now houses the engaging Brno City Museum. Strolling through its expansive courtyard and lush hillside park is a delight, offering peaceful moments and sweeping panoramas of Brno . Visitors especially enjoy the atmospheric casemates—dark tunnels once used as prison cells—and the tower lookout, which rewards brave climbers with stunning 360° city views. With year‑round cultural events, historical exhibits, and scenic paths, Špilberk provides a memorable and enriching experience.
Тони К — Google review
The fortress is a wonderful place to spend some time. The walk up to the fortress is mildly strenuous but pleasantly green. The exhibitions are absolutely worth visiting and very comprehensive. The view from the fortress walls or its tower is also beautiful. Definitely a must-visit if you are in Brno.

Špilberk castle is a must-visit if you’re in Brno. Whether you’re drawn to its medieval architecture, Ghostly prison history, lush gardens, or unforgettable city views, it’s easy to spend whole day exploring at a relaxed pace. Perfect for a casual stroll, a dose of culture, and a dash of scenic beauty. Recommend it!

It's an entertaining place that explains physical phenomena and human anatomy while encouraging visitors to conduct experiments and solve puzzles.
Very interesting and fun interactive exhibition for kids of all ages and adults. Took us over 3 hours to see and play with everything. Languages: Czech, English and German.

Amazing science museum, fun and educative for both kids and adults. Many exhibition pieces and most of them interactive, which makes it even more fun! Definetely recommend!

A must-visit with curious children. When we planned our stop here from Olomouc, we were expecting to stay for 2 hours, but we left after 5 hours. Me, my wife, and our 4-year-old had a blast. Don't miss out!
Erik P — Google review
A nice science museum, nothing more. Maybe I didn't read the recommendations well before, but in my opinion there's not much for older children (over 12) to do there. We were there for barely an hour, my kids got bored quickly (12 and 15 years old). I gave it a 4, but that's barely enough.

Absolutely loved it! VIDA! Science Centrum in Brno is a fantastic place for curious minds of all ages. While it’s not massive, it’s packed with hands-on exhibits and interactive displays that make learning incredibly fun. You can easily spend an entire day here without getting bored.

To my six-year-old daughter, VIDA is the coolest. Despite being in one giant room, the exhibits are diverse and interactive. You can make a tornado, test electricity, make paper airplanes, and so much more. The highlight was the art area with every type of supply imaginable. You get to take home the art you create! There’s an outdoor area, a two-level slide, a cafe that sells ham and cheese sandwiches and popsicles.

Castle
Sights & Landmarks
Veveri Castle, also known as Hrad Veveri, is a 13th-century castle located just 12 kilometers northwest of Brno's city center. It sits high above the River Svratka and boasts a commanding position with stunning medieval-style rooms. The castle has undergone numerous additions and changes up until the medieval period and has a rich history of changing hands and nationalities. Once owned by wealthy English landlords, it even hosted Winston Churchill in his younger years.
The castle look simple from outside but once you enter (60 Korunas, $3, 2.50 Euros), you will see the true Medieval feel and the details come to life. Castle Veveří, one of the largest castle grounds in the Czech Republic, was created gradually during its almost 800-year history. This originally small hunting castle, or perhaps just the courtyard of the Moravian Margraves, appeared in sources in 1213 for the first time. As a real stone castle, Veveří was probably built before the mid-13th century. Among other purposes, the castle also served as a place of royal supervision over the settlement of territories upstream of the river Svratka. The castle was prominently expanded, essentially to its present extent, after the mid-14th century during the reign of Margrave John Henry (younger brother of Emperor Charles IV), who made Veveří into one of his primary residences.
Buster I — Google review
Great atmosphere to relieve all your stress . It is located beside the Svratka river. We went there by taking bus 303 from Zoologicka Zhrada to Hrad Veveři. Then went back to brno dam by boat along the river. It's such a fantastic trip for a day. I really recommend to visit castle and have a boat ride.
Yoon P — Google review
We visited Veveří Castle by boat (highly recommend the steam boat). The setting is breathtaking but access is limited, you can only walk around the outer courtyards and buildings with no interior open to explore. And payment is cash only which was inconvenient. I was willing to pay extra for a tour to the inside to the pallace but either it was not available or there was a language barrier. We did ask. The only other interior place available to view is basically Lion and Eagle exhibition. The only café open had a very limited menu, mainly pork dishes. The boat ride was fantastic and the castle is beautiful from the outside but overall it felt underwhelming. If you want to experience both the interior and exterior of a castle, I would recommend visiting another site.
Chelsea M — Google review
Great castle, in great condition and beautiful location. I've visited this place 3 times so far. It's a very nice short trip from Brno. I highly suggest taking the boat there since it adds to the experience. The castle is built on a forest hill with great views all year round. Inside the castle there's a nice small winery, a pud where there's usually live music (I think on weekends only), a cafe with pastries, a blacksmith shop and a small tourist/toy store. On my first visit there was also a small parade and some cannon shooting which was very cool. At 60 CZK entry fee, that place is totally worth a visit.
George P — Google review
Big nice castle, worth visiting also the interior but the towers are impressive also with the basic entry to the yard. Good restaurant and pub to eat and drink, also there is a winery. Great views.
Kristina K — Google review
Would definitely recommend visiting really beautiful castle and not very expensive you can get a beautiful boat ride there and see the river from a nice perspective
Emma K — Google review
We went by boat and paid 60 CZK by cash for just the entrance there. No dogs in the inner courtyard but outside was ok. It was fine. A proper castle. A nice view at the forest outside.:-) Had a surprisingly good soup there at the Winston restaurant.
Veronika Š — Google review
Beautiful and old historic castle, free parking available, the entrance ticket cost is 30 Czech Republic 🇨🇿. Inside is cafe , restaurant and some small shops located. Rest rooms (toilet) available. The palace is old and not more visitors there, so, if you don’t like noise places than it’s best place for you. Enjoy at old and historical place. Recommended if you are traveling through Brno city.

The Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, situated atop Petrov Hill in the heart of Brno, is a remarkable Gothic Catholic cathedral with a Baroque interior. Its 84-meter-tall twin towers and splendid architecture make it one of the most important Czech cultural monuments. Visitors can climb the tower for panoramic views of Brno. The cathedral's history includes a legend about two feuding architects who incorporated statues of angels making unholy gestures towards each other into their respective churches.
St. Peter and Paul Cathedral is one of Brno’s most iconic and breathtaking landmarks. Perched on Petrov Hill, it offers spectacular views of the city and a striking silhouette visible from afar. The cathedral’s Gothic architecture, twin spires, and beautifully decorated interior create a powerful sense of history and spiritual grandeur. Inside, you’ll find stunning stained glass, ornate altars, and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for reflection. Don’t miss the climb to the tower, where the bells famously ring at 11 a.m. instead of noon. A visit here is a truly inspiring experience and a highlight of any trip to Brno.

The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul is a Roman Catholic cathedral located on the Petrov hill in the Brno-střed district of the city of Brno in the Czech Republic. It is commonly referred to locally as simply "Petrov". It is the seat of the Diocese of Brno and a national cultural monument that is one of the most important pieces of architecture in South Moravia. The interior is mostly Baroque in style, while the exterior shell is Gothic that dates mostly from the 14th century, and its impressive 84-metre-high towers were constructed to the Gothic Revival designs of the architect August Kirstein between 1901 and 1909. The original cathedral site dates to the 11th century. (Wikipedia)

Beautiful Gothic cathedral in Brno! The twin spires are iconic and visible from all over the city. Interior is gorgeous with beautiful stained glass and peaceful atmosphere. The climb to the tower is definitely worth it - amazing panoramic views of Brno and the surrounding countryside. Easy to reach in the city center. Free entry, small fee for tower access. A must-see landmark when visiting Brno!

What a lovely experience, got to the place right before the service finished (around 17 something on a Thursday), managed to catch the beautiful sounds of a large pipe organ - the sound was amazing. There is a park around the cathedral’s perimeter with beautiful surroundings, you can see the whole city from afar from different angles, there are also a few cafes to sit super close to the cathedral or you can simply relax and enjoy your time with your own food and drink on one of the numerous benches (with the backs) that are located across the area

It's a great location. Even though the girls at the entrance were a bit bored (i can understand why - not many people where there). It's one of the broadest technology museums I've ever been to. - suggestion: learn a bit of Czech - some excebitions only have Czech text. (Or have Google lens)

The Brno Technical Museum was a great place to explore on our own, with a wide range of exhibits from old machinery to vintage vehicles and engineering innovations. However, the experience was a bit limited by the fact that almost all information was written only in Czech. There were no English translations, which made it harder to fully appreciate the details of the displays. Despite that, the layout was logical and the exhibitions were visually impressive. It’s worth a visit, especially for fans of history and technology, but having multilingual descriptions would make it much more accessible to international visitors.

Nice exposition. So much wasted potential though. Only a little part of it was actually explained, so educational value is small. I had fun as l'm a nerd and I knew how this stuff worked. Also expect minimal English. Majority of things are only in Czech. They have some printed guides and an app, but both of them cover very little of the exposition.

Good few hours for adults and kids aged 6 and 10. Shame not enough info is in English. There’s a coat/bag check at the entrance and the parking is free

It was surprisingly good despite that part of the exhibition was closed. A lot of old and interesting cars, computers, watch, cameras and and more. Must see. We payed 120 czk/person. You should spend there more then 2 hours.

A fantatsic museum filled with an array of technological pieces and activities for children and adults. I spent three hours looking at cars, motorcycles, musical instruments and more. The experience was both entertaining and rewarding. I recommend the museum highly - one of the best attractions in Brno.
Craig D — Google review
A really lovely, modern science museum and easonably priced entrance. A wide range of exhibits with knowledgeable and helpful staff. Reconstructed old shops, steam engines, cars, planes, guns and war history, ancient history, photography and microscopy, computer history and playable computer games. And much, much more. All presented in a modern and engaging way. There's also a 'hands on' science area where you can have fun and learn a lot! Although there's no cafe a number of vending machines provide coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sandwiches (pretty good!), chocolate and snacks. And they all take contactless card payment. A good place to take the kids for 3-4 hours. Highly recommend!

Nestled just north of Brno, the Moravian Karst is a stunning natural reserve that boasts over 1,000 caves and gorges spread across an impressive 92 square kilometers. This remarkable area is renowned for its geological marvels, including the enchanting Punkva Caves with their striking stalactites and stalagmites, as well as underground rivers and sinkholes.
One of the most beautiful places near Brno. Amazing views inside the cave and also guided tour in Czech and English languages. I would say it is quite rare to see well preserved karsts nowadays, which makes them more unique. I would also recommend to book tickets to the caves in advance.
Andrii K — Google review
I purchased ticket for interesting little train, as from a fairy tale in advance. This train takes you within 20 min ride to Punkovne Jeskine caves. You can also walk however you’ll need an extra condition for it, walk takes ca 50 min. I purchased ticket for the cave also in advance, because I do not want surprises. The tour inside cave was fantastically organized. Its beautiful stalactites can be seen by the boat ride, then you start walking when you reach the little lake, its mesmerizing blue color visible by sun rays touch so make sure you go there around 2pm.
Iskra R — Google review
I went on a tour in English with Rostislav Janis via Get Your Guide for “Discover Moravian Karst: Seven stops, one Tailored Tour” and it was by far the best thing I could have done. So beautiful and professionally managed. The Churches and caves were particularly beautiful.

Fantastic nature. It's worth to visit of you want to have a pleasant walk and see the beauty of nature. I can't help but share that the guides of the caves are not polite persons. They don't speak English or just a little. They don't know the worlds "please", "thanks". They hurry you and turns of the lights.

One of the best trips. absolutely Loved the cave. if forests and caves are any interest to you and you are visiting Brno City then Moravian Karst is a must visit. I visited in Jan 2022, it was super cold and snowing but absolutely beautiful forest to see and hike. During winter the only cave that was open for public was Punkva which is the largest among the five caves that are located at the Moravian Karst. i have read that the five caves are open for public visit during summer only. the Moravian Karst is located very near to Blansko town ( usually a train goes from Brno to Blansko, but during my visit the trains wasn't working so took Itook the bus ) the trip by bus/ train from Brno to Blankso is about 30 min ride. then when you arrive to Blansko its around 25 min ride via a taxi/ car to arrive to the Moravian Karst. there is no public transportation that goes there so having a car or a taxi is a must if you cant walk for that long. if you are a tourist and don't speak Czech, then i highly advice to book a taxi in advance before your arrival, because its very hard to find people who speak English in Blansko, also when i arrived it was Sunday and there were absolutely no taxi driver anywhere close to the station. the town was very empty not sure if it was because of Sunday or this is the norm there. Uber, Bolt and any other similar services doesn't work there as well. ( you can find taxi companies online that you can call and book in advance ) when you arrive to the Moravian Karst there is an internal train that picks you up from the information office to drop you at meeting point for the tour to the cave. please make sure to arrive before your tour at least 45 min in advance. if your tour is starting at 12 then arrive at 11.15 latest. i arrived 25 min before my tour starts to find that the train has already left so i had to wait for two hours+ for the second tour to go. the tours are only in Czech language but even though i didn't understand what the guide is saying i did enjoy the tour a-lot as the cave absolutely looks magnificent. Booking in advance is a MUST. as there is some days/ times where there is no tours at all. so make sure to book your ticket in advance before your plan your trip. I rated it 4 out of five because the tour wasn't well organised at all and there was absolutely no information that i need to arrive more than 30 min before the tour or i will miss the train. it should have been written in the website instead of making visitors wait for more than two hours for the next tour.
Seham Y — Google review
A beautiful place to walk. The tram/lift to the top is fast and allows you to look into the abyss you will see later on the tour. The tour is through a narrow walk way with many stairs, and a boat ride! Loved this tour. It was in Czech, but our friends translated the important parts. Nice gemstone gift shop, too.
Patti M — Google review
This was one of the best experiences ever! We had a guide take us from Brno to the caves. So glad she handled the specifics. (as most areas there cash is king) We took the little train up to the cave entrance. The English phamplet described each spot perfectly. The boat ride out was awesome! Seeing the bottom of the abyss was beautiful! We rode the cable car up and viewed the abyss from above. Overall nice experience and peaceful. Would strongly recommend.
Christa D — Google review
A very amazing place which you must see if you are close to Brno. And remember to book the tickets in advance, because you will otherwise risk to wait for several hours before you're granted access.

Nestled in the vibrant city of Brno, Czech Republic, the Museum of Romani Culture stands as a beacon of heritage and history for the Romani people. As the only museum dedicated to this community in Europe, it offers an extensive collection that spans over 25,000 artifacts. Visitors can explore a rich tapestry of exhibits featuring traditional crafts, costumes, jewelry, and audiovisual displays that highlight their musical culture.
One of the best museums I've seen in the Czech republic, but, yes, it's in an area that is "not that nice" in the sense that it's poor and populated by a lot of gipsies. My Airbnb was very close by and in my week in Brno it did feel at times a bit too roudy. The reason the museum is in this area is to raise awareness and some of the proceeds go to children of the area. The dudes who showed me around were Rromani as well and, of course, they were the nicest guys, even if, the guy selling the tickets looked like a Bulibasha :)) No, seriously, the guys were great and the curation of the museum is EXCEPTIONAL! They have an audio guide basically telling the story, it is surprisingly unbiased and sticks very closely to facts. I used my own knowledge as Romanian to gauge any bias and, I will admit, there is zero when it comes to portraying the gipsies in the Danubian Principalities and Transylvania so I'm pretty sure the rest of the narrative is correct, I personally felt enriched by the info In terms of exhibits, don't expect much, it's one of those modern museums that relies more on story telling and providing an experience than showing you lifeless objects. Nonetheless, there are some cool examples of Rromani art I ended up staying close to two hours here and I must say it blew my mind. Hard to say I learned anything new since I already knew most of it, but to see such a place depicting the story of these people with such grace was an inspiration. I only wish Romania, who was an active part in the Holocaust, would allow something similar 10/10 recommended, if in Brno as a tourist be sure to visit. Sadly when I was there, I was alone for close to two hours, this needs to be more popular

Learned lots I didn't know before, and was great to see the history and culture represented in a positive light.

Excellent museum about Roma culture and history. Lots of objects and stories which will lead you as a visitor to a history of culture, persecution, and resilience of an often misunderstood community. Very interesting to read about linguistic similarities with Hindu/Bengali and the origins of Roma being referred to as Egyptians or Gypsy's. Museum is also based in a neighborhood near the community. Apparently the neighborhood has a bit of a reputation but I felt very safe and welcome. More information could be provided in English, since without th booklet I received it would have been difficult to read much since almost all the signs are in Czech.
R M — Google review
I think this is the most interesting museum in Brno which is definitely worth the short trip from the city centre. Not only you learn some new things about Roma culture and history but you also support the community. The exhibition is colourfull, narrative, interactive and is tailored both for adults and kids.

Well-executed, interactive and informative museum. The information on the wall is in Czech, but booklets are available in German and English. I enjoyed the exhibition, it gives a throughout explanation of the origin, history and lifestyle of Romani culture.

An astonishingly intriguing place full of mysteries about one of the most poorly-known and understood cultures. All the four sections provide valuable and unforgettable insights into the culture that is so often misinterpreted.
Richy B — Google review
Though it gets a little long toward the end of the museum in the post-WWII section, the early parts of the museum are wonderfully curated. For a people who have been repeatedly shat on, the information and displays remain incredibly unbiased and simply state facts. Provides behind-the-scenes looks and insights into the state of being the outsider or other. A museum not to be missed and easily the best thing in Brno.

If you're on the hunt for a family-friendly dining spot in Brno, look no further than Pizzeria Ristorante La Patas. This charming eatery features a cozy children's corner, perfect for keeping little ones entertained while you savor your meal. Although the play area is modestly sized, it’s just enough to engage kids until their dishes arrive. The restaurant boasts an inviting and spacious atmosphere with a lovely outdoor garden that beckons during sunny days.
The space in this restaurant is very open and comfortable, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. While the lighting may not be very bright, there is a garden outside which would make for a great spot to sit during warm days. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always willing to help and make recommendations. One thing to note is that there is no English menu, and the staff may not speak English, but they will do their best to assist you. They have a basic catalog of dishes, which is great, and the pizza options are particularly extensive. In fact, the pizzas here are some of the best around, with a crispy crust and beautifully presented toppings. The servings are also very generous, and one pizza would be more than enough for one person. If you're not in the mood for pizza, the spinach lasagne is also a standout dish, with great flavor and perfectly cooked pasta. However, the spinach pizza wasn't presented as well, according to the reviewer. For families with children, there is a designated play area which makes it an ideal spot to bring the kids. And to top off the meal, the dessert is highly recommended - a chocolate lava cake with ice cream which is a real treat. Overall, this restaurant comes highly recommended for its great food, welcoming staff, and family-friendly atmosphere. Last but not least there are plenty of vegetarian options to choose from.

We came back here after 2 years, and I liked it much more this time. We had a large family lunch, and everybody was pretty satisfied with the food (myself, I had chicken breast Ventricina salami, smoked cheese, and salad). Also, the desserts were quite nice, especially the tiramisu.

We had very wonderful time at La Patas. Place has one of the best ambience in Brno. They have very wide variety of Italian dishes . We tried different pastas and pizzas. All were tasty and just best. Best part of restaurant is they have one of the best play area for kids for different age groups. Kids can enjoy indoor plus outdoor play area. Staff is English speaking and very active .They helped for order with suggestions as per our taste buds.

I loved my food, order came on time. You need to be careful on what you order and make sure waitress understood you. I do not wanted ham but ended up having a pizza with ham which they replaced happily and immediately. Waitress could have been more happy but that's typical Czech way I guess.
Amol D — Google review
Brno is modernizing fast pace but mentality and service is still very much behind. Most of the restaurant staff desperately needs soft skills lessons. Today I ordered grilled cheese and I got salad with goat cheese. When I reported to the staff, one of the employees started arguing with me that I probably ordered salad, which I didn’t. I took the menu and said “ I specifically pointed to the waiter grilled goat cheese “ to which she replied, I quote “ we don’t look what you order”. LOL 😂 Who is supposed to look if not you? Even IF I ordered the salad, it was still missing few ingredients written on the menu. Either way, she was trying to make it like it’s my fault. What she should have done was to apologize and say let’s fix this for you. What an awful way to treat a customer who ordered one thing and now gets scolded because the waiter didn’t listen what I ordered 🤷🏻‍♀️. I came to have a nice Sunday lunch with my daughter but in most Czech restaurants it’s really a lottery if your day will get ruined. Also, food is not even that tasty for the price they charge. I don’t recommend at all. And if anyone from management would even bother to improve things, start with your staff: be polite, smile and grow some manners.

Lužánky Park, a historic gem nestled in the heart of Brno, is not only the oldest public park in the city but also one of Central Europe's earliest green spaces, established back in 1786. Spanning an impressive 20 hectares, this vibrant park is a hub of activity and relaxation. Visitors can admire its beautiful fountains, monuments, and sculptures while enjoying various athletic amenities like tennis courts and volleyball fields.
In front of the tram stop. There are cafes around. Several children play area, it has also has a free workout area where there are the workout equipments. There is also a grill area. Nice place to chill. Tennis court also. Very huge park so perfect for jogging. All the facilities are seen in my pictures.

This is the best park in Brno in my opinion. It is very cozy and has beautiful nature that is incredibly captivating. A great place for picnics with friends or family walks. There are many different birds, squirrels are common and there is a beautiful lake with ducks. There are different areas with some playgrounds for children. The park can be visited at any time of the year. Summer is almost here, yesterday, June 15, 2025, the temperature reached 29 degrees. I was there, and it was great to be in Luzanky. However, I notice that the grass has not been taken care of yet. The grass is extremely tall. I see people having picnics with the grass bothering them. I have noticed this for 3 years now. I don't know when the city government started taking care of it so that people can enjoy the summer. Luzanky is one of my favorite places in Brno.

One of my favorite spots in Brno! Lužánky Park is the perfect escape from the city’s noise — peaceful, spacious, and beautifully maintained. Whether you’re up for a walk, a jog, a picnic, or just people-watching, this park has it all. There are always folks playing sports, walking their dogs, or enjoying a quiet moment on a bench. The trees offer great shade in the summer, and the changing seasons make it a lovely place to visit year-round. It’s also well-lit and feels safe even in the evening. Bonus points for being close to the city center and easily accessible by public transport or a short walk. A must-visit if you’re in Brno and want to reconnect with nature or just clear your mind 🍃

The Moravian Museum, located in a Baroque building, is a significant institution dedicated to showcasing the history and culture of Moravia. Established in 1817, it houses a vast collection of over 4 million artifacts that span from prehistory to modern times. The museum's exhibits are spread across several locations in Brno, including the Dietrichstein Palace and Bishops Courtyard which feature displays on early Moravian history, historical coins and medals, as well as the region's fauna.
Great museum with an extensive geological exposition. There is a great exposition about history of the landmark arround Brno from the pre-history times till current topics.
Ulicnik24 — Google review
We had to zip through this museum - wish we could have stayed longer. The permanent exhibits started with minerals so way back in the ancient past, then moved to dinosaurs and the medieval ages. The top floor has more recent history. All was interesting, I highly recommend it but this is only based on a cursory visit
Angela M — Google review
This museum will tell you almost everything about the history of the Moravian region from from the prehistoric geological times all the way to the recent era. One of the central points is the focus on stone age civilisation who populated the area close to Brno tens of thousands years ago. Currently (until September 2025) you enjoy the exhibition of a small clay statue that was found 100 years ago and which sculpted by a stone age artist.

Quiet and spacious place for history and nature of Moravia. A great collection of minerals and precious stones, such a beauty!
Svetla H — Google review
I highly recommend visiting this museum. It consists of three floors, there is an elevator. Each floor has the appearance of a spiral, which allows you to gradually examine all the exhibits. I advise you to start from the first floor and move up, then you can move according to the chronological sequence. On the first floor there is a small separate section with the history of the development of comics. By the way, children will also be very interested, there is a TV that broadcasts cartoons, a board where you can draw your comic and a lot of props (wigs, hats, toy weapons). Also on the first floor fossils, dinosaurs and the process of formation of the Earth are shown. As well on the first floor there is an incredible collection of crystals and minerals, it was quite cool to see the countries of extraction and areas of application, as well as the crystal structure. On the second floor, it was possible to follow the development of life in the territory of Southern Morava, from the first tools to the Middle Ages. On the third floor, are already the 19th and 20th centuries, the Second World War and the Prague Spring. There are a lot of interactive exhibits absolutely everywhere, which increases curiosity and understanding of what is seen. The staff is also very pleasant, they speak Czech, English and Russian. You can buy inexpensive souvenirs at the cash desk. The photo below shows the view from the window of the museum.

PAPILONIA - Butterfly House BRNO is a tropical enclosure housing various butterfly species and free-roaming turtles. The humid greenhouse also features small birds and offers the opportunity to observe butterflies up close, with the possibility of them landing on visitors. The experience is recommended for those who enjoy close encounters with butterflies. Additionally, the venue includes fishes, turtles, and some bird species. Visitors can learn about butterflies' peculiarities from information displayed on the walls.
Visited here with my girlfriend and she absolutely loved it! It's a small place to roam around and see beautiful kinds of butterflies. There were also small turtles and a few set of birds which were so tiny and cute. The staff is friendly and will let you know strict rules once you are there as they are equally important. There are storage boxes for your stuff present as well. Note : The temperature inside is adjusted for the tropical nature and for these beings to live as naturally as possible so it might get hot coming from outside. Wear accordingly. We visited in January and inside was around 26-27 C degrees.

This is an amazing little place. It's hidden away in the middle of a small shopping center and we weren't sure we were heading the right way until we were actually there. I'm glad we visited and would definitely recommend it if you have an hour to spare.

So many smiles on the faces of young and old is worth it for itself. And the experience of a lot of small and huge butterflies flying around and sometimes landing on you is just nice. I have a 7 month old and go here about three times a month. Great place for small children, good clean facilities, staff have always been lovely. I never felt pressured to leave. I usually go in the mornings, it's much quieter and the place is very clean. Unfortunately I went a few times in the afternoon and some parents just let their children run wild and are not even watching their children. (I know this is not the fault of the cafe or their staff) But a bigger child nearly ran into my baby, and another time I witnessed a child (parents weren't watching) hit someone else's newborn. Recommendation: Maybe the cafe staff when serving parents give a list or highlight the rules/guidelines (also if possible include foreign languages ) and remind the parents they still need to mind their children when at the cafe and to treat it like they were visiting someone's home as unfortunately I see the cafe being destroyed..😔 If not followed give a warning and make it more accessible to allow parents to complain if other children are not behaving or parents aren't paying attention to their children. As it's a lovely place with a lot of effort put in to make it a safe and fun place for parents and children. So it's a shame to see it be destroyed just because of some neglectful parents.

Great place for kids. It keeps them busy all day long. Indoor and outdoor activities. It could be a bit overcrowded at some points but it’s a good place and kids love it. The only thing I would recommend to the staff is that they would be more strict towards parents that can’t read and using attractions like “zip line “ that is weight limited and suited for kids only. Otherwise I recommend this place.

For kids, Bruno Family Park is a wonderland- giant slides, trampolines, bumper cars, underground tunnels, a zip line, water park, and so much more. On a Wednesday morning around 10:10 a.m. my six-year-old daughter and I visited for the day. Here’s our experience. 1) Admission: Arriving ten minutes after it opened, we waited in line for just under 10 minutes. At the reception, you’re given a bracelet for a locker and how you charge food. You pay for everything, including the admission, at the end as you leave. 2) Amenities: There’s inside and an outside areas. Inside, there are tunnels, trampolines, slides, climbing ropes, and more. Outside is the water area, a bird-nest-themed playground and a machine that spins. For 25 CZK per ticket purchased at the reception, you can ride the bumper cars, the boats, and jump on the outdoor blob. My daughter’s favorites were the tunnels, zip line, blue slides, bumper cars, the blob, and the trampoline closest to the cafe. There’s also one cafe that serves hot and cold food. The prices are i falter comparably, but also not horrible. 3) Service: Staff are throughout and helpful. A few of them speak English. Overall, we loved our visit. We spent most of the day there to get our money’s worth!

The best family park of this type I have ever been! There are so many attractions indoors for kids all ages. Although a few of them you have to pay extra. In summer, there’s also an outdoor part. There is a buffet and also a restaurant which offer all, for kids and adults. And what is also important that’s clean!!!
Veronika K — Google review
Just amazing for young kids. Well thought out, clean and enough to do for hours. We were there on a Monday afternoon and it was great.
Patrick R — Google review
Perfect place to visit with kids. A lot of attractions and it never felt full. Good selection of meals in the inner restaurant. One star down - the outdoor part was closed despite weather was great - sunny, no rain. The air inside is quite "used" so being able to go out for a fresh breath would be very welcome.

Bruno Family Park has so many great attractions for all ages – everything was super clean and well organized. We were especially impressed by the restaurant, the food was absolutely delightful! A perfect spot for a full day of fun.

Absolutely stunning place for all the family to have a fun day out. Food and drink is good too as well as the service. My daughter who is 5 years old really enjoyed her day here. It had so many things to entertain her. The outside area is also excellent with a good variety of activities and rides. The place is spotless too, the cleaning standards are the best I've ever seen. If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Please do check this place out if you're visiting Brno. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Mark — Google review
Maybe this place could be nice but when we were here, the whole place was overcrowded. Our nearly two years old daughter could nearly do nothing, cause the other (older) kids behaved as in a warzone. Many attractions had a long queue, e.g. the auto scooter. Our 8 years old son had a lot of fun, but I would not come back. Side node: the outdoor area was closed due to the latest rain. One positive thing was, that the entrance was limited so that not more people come in before others leave. We left the park after twenty minutes and when I asked if we should pay the full price (I explained here the reasons), she let us go without paying anything. At least that's something and the reason for the 4 stars.

The rooftop pool provides an idyllic spot to unwind during summer months.
Brilliant for family and the kids. Missing better access to drinks and food

The place itself is very aesthetic. But at the time we arrived (approx 18:00) it was very unpleasantly crowdy. Also the showers pressure in the womens showers is veeery strong, it hurts even on the skin how strong it is. And I was told that in men's showers it was not working very well and it was more dripping than actually showering. Bad balance i guess. What is positive is the procing though. I have multisport, so I had 90 minutes entrance for "free", but also the prices for the aquapark itself normally are so good - mainly for brno. The slide is fun. The Wild river is not very Wild but I guess its enough for kids.

If you’re coming to swim or to relax don’t come here! Swimming pool was full of kids taking swimming lessons and no place for other people in the swimming pool. I came here to swim but spend more time in the whirlpool that was nice.

This place is way too small for the price it charged. Ps… hot tub is always full, we never get a chance to go in, same as steam room, Full of people. Extra money for sauna… etc Bar: no food after 830pm even it saids kitchen close at 9pm. Reception never mention when you check in that u will have to pay 21czk per 6mins if u stay longer than 90mins! Which was a ripoff, I won’t be back :(

Good place to spend a time with kids. There are swimming pools with different sizes and depths, toboggan and other fun water stuff. It's not the experience as visit Pasohlávky Aqualand Moravia, but for Brno citizens is good enough. ;)

It’s clean, well maintained, the price is very decent, and I always get a good swim here as it isn’t too crowded. The steam room is also great! The gym sucks though, almost no equipment for a decent workout.

Very nice Aqua park in the middle of the city. It has gym, 4 pools (kids, relax, swimming, roof top pool), small restaurant, jacuzzi, steam sauna and a water slide. You can pretty much spend the whole day here. Staff is nice and kind facilities are always clean and look very nice. Unfortunately it tends to be crowded sometimes and its better to check if there are pool reservations scheduled on their webpage. Other than that, its a very nice place :)

Bongo Brno is a vibrant playground that promises an action-packed day for children, especially on weekends when the excitement peaks around 3 PM with birthday parties. This lively venue offers a variety of attractions tailored to different age groups and physical abilities, including climbing walls, slides, and jumping areas. Parents can join in on the fun or simply enjoy watching their little ones burn off energy. However, it's wise to come prepared with socks and casual attire for maximum comfort.
I like this place with special facilities which is fresh for kids. The service is also english speaking freely and friendly service. You can enjoy here for one whole day or just few hours.

The place is good for children to have a fun time. Here they can play, jump, run... Parents will have a long day of exercises. What could give some criticism to the prices of the meals in the place: they are somewhat expensive. I recommend that you bring something from home or buy something at the market next to the playground. Otherwise, I recommend that you take your children to the place.

Great place for kids! Many attractions for half of the day. Also awful junk food :(

Good place for kids, parents can get a little bored, but generally its ok. The only thing that is a real horror its a "snack-bar" that takes a huge amount of time in the line... seriously- for that number of people only two staff in there? Spent 20 minutes to get a coffee, so strongly recommending- bring your own food/drinks, you might not be able to get some in here...

Great place for the kids to play not too bad entry fee and enough slides and climbing frames to keep the kids entertained for a few hours. Recommended for kids 5 and older. Recommend they take indoor shoes to run around in.
Andrew T — Google review
Very haphazard and temporary-looking with a layout that makes supervision difficult. They could use more safety & supervisory staff or maybe not charge the doprovod fee since more adults are needed to try keep an eye on the kids. Surprised they get a licence for this.

I rate this with one star only because of the 100 Kc credit card minimum payment policy. I really hope you reconsider this limitation. After spending 500 kc admission fee and 200 kc for snacks, the cashier couldn't sell me 4 go cart chips for 40 kc. I would have to buy at least 10 rides to meet this restriction. My kids were disappointed and you lost 40 kc and one visitor :-)

Nestled in the heart of Brno, MAMA KAFE is a delightful haven for families seeking a cozy spot to unwind. The café's interior captivates with its stylish yet minimalist decor, featuring soothing colors and charming wooden toys that create an inviting atmosphere. Parents can relax in comfortable armchairs while savoring specialty coffee and refreshing lemonade made from local ingredients. MAMA KAFE truly embodies the motto "A place where parents can rest and children can play.
Place is great, ready for a parent with a baby or kid of any age (probably more interesting for those under 5 years old)? Its popularity is unfortunately leading to it being full of people especially in the afternoons, but lately also in the mornings, and especially considering Covid restrictions, would be nice if people were checked at the counter for their Covid status (as they would need to now, I believe, anyway). I guess weather pushes everyone inside ) Smaller place than another kid cafe MeziStromy on Josefska 1 - newer and cleaner for now ) WCs have everything for diaper changing, separate adult toilets; there is enough place for several strollers inside. There are also a few (2-3) tables outside. Drinks menu is fine. Playroom has all the fancy wooden toys and soft cover, so it’s nice for kids (the cover is black and leaves feet/socks dark, FYI). Be sure to bring your own change of shoes/slippers or socks, but they do also have slippers at the entrance. Prices may be a big higher than average. One young barista speaks great English.

This is a really cute coffee shop for parents. It has great wooden toys for toddlers, you can bring your kid to play while enjoying drinks and desserts. It becomes quite busy so it's a good idea to book in advance.
Fani O — Google review
Really small, but cozy kids cafe. It is quite small and the items would be better to visit with smaller kids. Still the coffee and desserts were excellent!
Joanna W — Google review
The best place if you are a young mother that wants a good coffee and also safely supervise your kid. Lovely place
Laura B — Google review
It would be extremely helpful if the items on the menu had allergens listed. I asked for a hot chocolate assuming it’s made from the cocoa powder. When my daughter had an allergic reaction I asked the staff and she showed me they basically chop a “Kaštany” bar, which contains hazelnuts , and mix it with milk. And that’s 65kč!!! At least get some quality cocoa for that price. The place is ok. Maybe more suited for smaller kids.
Jelena D — Google review
If you are looking for a well located baby coffee place with nice toys slides friendly stuff quite good parking nearby and option to go for nice walk. This place check all the boxes and more. From my experience this is one of the best baby coffe in Brno. I really like how is the space designed to be maximally baby friendly. There are two parts first entry part with the bar and tables and second part with tables and playing are seamlessly connected as the whole floor has foam cover. So it's nice soft on touch and safe even for the smallest. They have nice coffee, tasty homemade lemonade with fruit inside and more tasty treats to order. We will definitely come back. Last thing I would recommend is to call ahead to book your place as we heard that this place can get quite crowded during winter and rainy days. When it's nice weather outside I would definitely recommend to walk up to the Spilberk castle.

This picturesque spot not only serves as a source of electrical power but also offers an array of activities for visitors. Families can delight in ferry rides on eco-friendly electric boats that resemble charming steamboats, gliding across the shimmering waters while taking in breathtaking views.
Brilliant!!! Make sure you take a day out here. Its a beautiful place which offers boat rides and tours across the massive reservoir. You can sunbathe here as some spots around the reservoir are treated like beaches. You can also eat and drink at some waterside restaurants and bars. The tram from Brno goes directly to the reservoir and is really fast and cheap. I recommend it even though a cab is only around the equivalent of 13 Euros from Brno.

I always wanted to visit this place, but because of work and studies, I could never find the right time. When I came back from my vacation, I decided not to wait any longer even though I was tired, I gave up my rest day and finally made the trip from Třebíč. And I’m so glad I did. The moment I saw that incredible planet installation, it felt almost magical calm, peaceful, and breathtakingly beautiful. Standing there under the glowing moon surrounded by people in awe, I felt a deep sense of peace and gratitude. It was truly worth the effort, and I left feeling inspired and thankful. If you ever get the chance to visit Planetarium Brno, don’t miss it it’s an unforgettable experience.🪐🌕🌎

Whether you are an astronomy buff or just want to learn more about the earth, the moon, the planets and the stars, Brno Observatory will never disappoint you. It offers many interesting educative programs throughout the year. Occasionally, there are also open-air actions such as the festival of planets showcasing 10m in diameter big inflatable models of the earth and other planets, which are spectacular to see especially after dusk when the models are nicely lit.

Lovely place to be at for astronomy enthusiasts, or anyone really. No need to reach into your pocket, it's free to enter. Insightful information about all things astronomy is provided in Czech, German, and English.

The place is run by enthusiasts. The guys working at the observatory seem to really like what they do. From few experiences that I have, I dare to say that whatever event or activity will you go for, you will always learn a lot and information will be handed over in an entertaining way. I have already tried to go 2 times for night sky observing, but unfortunately, it was never the actual observing of the night sky, due to weather conditions. This is not a problem of the place, of course. But count with that possible situation and don't be disappointment if it happens to you. You will still hear a lot of useful and interesting fun facts about the universe and the sky above us.

The Mendel Museum of Masaryk University is a dedicated facility in Brno, Czech Republic, showcasing the life and work of Gregor Johann Mendel, the founder of modern genetics. Housed in the Augustinian abbey where Mendel lived and worked, the museum features permanent and traveling exhibitions with explanations and artifacts related to his groundbreaking studies on pea plants and blood groups. Visitors can also explore outdoor exhibits and learn about Mendel's significant contributions to bee reproduction and meteorology.
Gorgeous building displaying some Mendel's belongings and work. The interactive room was interesting; it definitely made Biology easier to understand, very kid-friendly. I went there with school and our tour guide explained things really well.
Celina D — Google review
Small but highly interactive and inspiring museum. The manuscripts and exhibits of instruments and objects used by Mendel himself are most valuable. Even walking in the garden and greenhouse outdoors where once Mendel himself was laying the seeds and harvesting the results of his observations literally was most inspiring. For that, I'm grateful for the scientists, historians and personnel who worked tirelessly to preserve all the invaluable gems of humanity for the future generations. Only drawback is the closing time is too soon.
Bunnies L — Google review
It's a small but nice and interactive museum, there's a lot of info on his biography, discoveries, and belongings. Visiting the museum is a great way to easily learn about him and his work, and the second half of the museum is full of interactive activities, making it great for kids. Be aware of the fact that vising the libraries you see in Photos here requires visiting another building with a prebooked guide. For the museum itself you buy the tickets when you enter, I think it was 3€ for students. Overall it was a nice experience, maybe I expected it to be a little bigger (basically only half the museum is about him exclusively).
Βασιλεία — Google review
A small museum with significant history. As a learner of genetics, this is a must-visit as part of pilgrimage. Pretty well preserved, although some parts of the abbot couldn't survive the test of time.
Florentin D — Google review
Museum is great and the abbey very nice; I ordered a guided tour (by email), because some parts are not accessible without it, and was the only attendee. Just had a two-hour educational experience (and a good one) all to myself. The most important thing is to go to the library— it will impress you even if you do not care about genetics— a small baroque gem. The story behind the museum is also very optimistic— just a smart guy who came to an augustinian monastery to make science and delivered big time. He didn’t get his due while alive, but he knew that the history will redeem him. And totally without drama; a nice garden, a smartly built greenhouse, the bees, the flowers, a supportive abbot, a placetime devoid of carnage. Just close the eyes and think what a nice world it would be, if all human curiosity would be satisfied in such uneventful and gemütlich way.
Andrey B — Google review
Small but very nice museum, perfect if you have limited time in Brno. The entrance fee is only 100 CZK. Inside is well designed, though the main entrance could be more visible. No souvenirs when I visited – a pea-themed magnet would be fun. There’s also a small, local café. Overall, worth a stop. Thanks for all employees.

Mendel who gave me a hard time in middle and high school. The place where his achievements were made. It was interesting to see him in real life that I had only seen in textbooks. Student discounts are available for 100 koruna. It's a shame that his greenhouse has become modernized.

Unfortunately, my experience at this villa was quite disappointing and I don't think it was worth the 30-minute visit. While the villa certainly has a rich history, I found that the interior lacked substance and wasn't very engaging. Compared to nearby attractions like Villa Tugenhat, which is only a minute away, I would not recommend this villa to others looking for an interesting and worthwhile destination. Villa Tugenhat offers a much more immersive and engaging experience, with a variety of interesting exhibits and beautiful architectural features.

This museum is a must see for everyone interested in art nouveau and modern architecture. The exhibition reveals a lot about the Löw-Beer family and 19th century Brno. There are a few exhibits about the Villa Tugendhat. Combined with visiting both gardens, it almost compensates for the lack of entrance tickets to Villa Tugendhat in the foreseeable future.

Brno–Tuřany Airport, originally constructed in the 1950s, is an international airport that serves the Brno area. Despite its small size, it provides connections to various destinations and offers efficient entry procedures. The airport boasts a clean environment and features amenities such as a duty-free shop. However, parking can be limited during peak times, and there are additional charges for plastic bags at the shops.
Practice flight with small airplane. Operational 24H, including weekends and holidays. Reasonable landing fee and handling cost, comparable with other regional airports. You might notice that the staff might not have such experience, and some procedures (e.g. security check) would take a bit longer that usual. But it's small, and it's our and it is next to our door.

Possibly the worst airport I have ever traveled from. The staff are unbelievably rude, and have interest in being helpful. The staff on the check in desk can't manage simple maths, 20kg + 20kg + 40kg. This airport always runs late, not helped by the dreadful layout. One good thing though, there is a piano free for anyone to play and use (nice touch) until the staff tell you to stop playing it because it's noisy! I will genuinely have to consider my travel plans in future avoiding this airport.
Andy C — Google review
The airport is small but fine, once through to the gate there are only vending machines. So come prepared with snacks etc. My only issue and why I gave one star is due to the piano, someone played badly the whole time we were here. Please remove this, or monitor its use. Not everyone wants to hear constant noise while waiting for their flight. Abuse to my ears!

How I love that this place exists! Surely, there are better and bigger airports, but this one makes at least some connections with the world for people living in Brno. Entrance to the country was well and fast handled, even with a lot of people in queues. Thumb up for people working there for that! Parking outside is totally full and it might be a problem to park when there is a plane landing and multiple people has arrived by car to pick someone up. And the parking is also paid.

The food was really nice, the ribs came clean of the bone and the pizza wasn't too thick or too thin. All in all a great lunch and a comparatively cheap price (around 530 Kč total for all that we had).

Nice and cozy pizzeria. Often crowded, thanks to tasty pasta and pizzas. They even think about small eaters and offer nice variety of children food. You can put them in children playroom, so you can eat in peace. It is better to call for reservation. There are not very much parking spots, if full, you can use big parking place by nearby Lidl shop. One star down is for smaller offer from drought beers and sodas

Awesome, even fantastic food all the way around. We were three adults and all of us had excellent food. The only complaint is it took a long time to get the food. It was worth it for sure. Just keep that in mind. The personnel were very good too. Pleasant, curious etc. It just to a long time to prepare. We ordered barbeque ribs; chef salad; and Gnocchi.

A few friends have reported getting food poisoning from this place. The most recent one is comparing her state to how she felt after drinking tap water in Bali... This is not normal, do better... If hygiene services did their jobs you'd be closed already.

Had a great burger, wife's pizza was good. Carbonate was a little stodgy. Great service and plenty of seats. Everyone was sat outside because of the weather so it was quiet inside where we sat. I will come back here, worth a try for reasonably priced, local food.

If I could I would give -10 stars. I went with my family and babies from church to eat something, it was many tables available, but they said that we couldn’t go in, they didn’t want to receive us. It was awful and disrespectful. Never going bacK AND DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Public swimming pool
Swimming Pool Dobrák is a delightful outdoor swimming destination that caters to all ages. It features a main pool for serious swimmers, a separate area with inflatable slides for those looking to have fun, and a wading pool designed specifically for younger children, complete with an engaging playground at its center. The surrounding environment is beautifully maintained, boasting lush lawns and trees that create a pleasant atmosphere. Visitors can relax on comfortable loungers by the water or enjoy refreshments from the bar and nearby restaurant.
One of the best places I have visited in Brno, really nice and polite staff.
Deded — Google review
Great place, nice, clean water. Grass is being maintained. One can also purchase chair or relax chair and be right next to the pool. There is a bar and place to get some food also restaurant Butchers is available (prepare your wallet for the prices). Sometimes DJ is here and my personal opinion is to stay away while this is happening. Too noisy, music is annoying and horrible, can't hear my own thoughts. Negative thing is also, no lockers are available for valuables, you need to keep eye on them.

I’m coming here for many years, this year they started to steal customers and Multisport company. I came at 13:20 and they told me ‘you wait 30 mins and we will let you go through for free with multisport’. I came at 14:00 and they changed me 50 CZK and still changed my multisport 😳 a complain will go today to Multisport 💪

We normally love this place but this week it was quite dirty so I can't give it 5 stars. Maybe there had been a lot of people that day but I think some cleaning through the day would be possible.

They have an evening swim hours 19:00-21:00 and when I came here at 20:00, they told me the cashier is closed already and they can't let us in. What's the point of having this rule and not having it visible on your website? So stupid

High ropes course
Jungle Park offers an exciting outdoor adventure for families, kids, and friends with various difficulty levels to cater to everyone's preferences. The middle-level course proved challenging but manageable for a family of three, including a 12-year-old. Friendly staff are readily available to assist if needed. While the easiest route may still be daunting for smaller children, safety instructions are provided and gloves are recommended to protect hands from rope-induced blisters. Visitors can park on Bauerova road and walk to the park.
Had a great time today with my bf and friends. We did the basic trail. It was super fun and challenging at the same time. Instructions were given twice, felt safe. I would suggest take some gloves with you to protect your palm of hands from blisters holding the ropes.
Vesa T — Google review
One of the best experiences we’ve had! The standard course is pretty challenging and quite long. We were two adults and two kids (ages 9 and 12). My wife didn’t finish it, but the kids made it all the way to the end. It took us about an hour and a half to complete. There are other routes too — one for smaller kids, and a more extreme one for thrill-seekers. After finishing the standard course, I tried the extreme route and barely finished it — you definitely need upper body strength and stamina for that one! The staff was absolutely amazing. They spoke English, were very polite. Everyone received proper instructions and equipment before climbing, and the staff was available to help on the course if needed. Really great service. You can get there easily by tram or bus, and the walk across the park A must-do experience in Brno for anyone who enjoys this kind of activities. Our kids had a blast, and so did we. We’ll definitely be coming back!

A nice sporty attraction for couples, families, friends. The hard difficulty track (Serchan) is a nice challenge and you will 100% get sweaty and tired.

Excellent experience for all kids. Exciting. The only downside: The children’s full-body climbing harnesses are slightly worn but still safe and functional.

Great place perfect level of difficulty that it should be challenging an fun!! We want with a group of 22 an each an every single loved it ! Really good an helpful staff! If someone got stuck No matter how hard they needed to work to get them down they did it!!! 😉
Nac F — Google review
Great place for an outdoor adventure with your family, kids and friends. Various difficulty levels to suit everyone’s liking. We took one with ‘Junior’ middle level difficulty and found it to be quite challenging for our family of 3 (including a 12 year old). The good things is that if you get tired right in the middle of your course, you can always ask for help and their super friendly staff can get your down easily using a ladder. I saw a few people using this option after completing about 50% of their course. A nice additional touch is - after you pay the charges and getting hooked to the harness, you have to cross a small river on a zip line to start the obstacles. And once you are done, you have to cross the river again on that zip line to get back to the entrance. It was so much fun. The staff speaks good English and they are very helpful. They also accept card payment. A few things to note - First: the parking situation is confusing. We had to park on the main driving road outside and walk through a small gate that had ‘Jungle Park Cafe’ board. There was no mention on the board about where to park the car. Second: I wish we either had our own hand gloves for better grip or we could have bought them at the entrance along with the park tickets. It would have helped us greatly. Third: if you have someone with you who doesn’t want to do the obstacle courser and just want to sit and enjoy the greenery; they don’t have to pay the entrance fees. But the cool things is that they still get a harness and can cross the river (and back). They can simply wait for you to be done and cross the river back along with you. It’s like getting a free river crossing zip line for them for free!!
Sachin M — Google review
Enjoyable place for adventurous kids and adults. Note that even the easiest route could be difficult or scary for smaller kids. Took one star down due to somewhat indifferent service of some of the employees, who were mostly busy entertaining themselves. Park on the sides of the main road (Bauerova) and then walk towards the park.

Espresso bar
UM café učňovská kavárna is a charming spot located in the city center, where the staff consists of students from a local school who are training to become waiters and cooks. The atmosphere is delightful, with attentive and polite student waiters doing their best to provide excellent service. The cafe offers delicious cakes, coffee, and lemonade at reasonable prices. While occasional mistakes may occur due to the learning environment, the overall experience is enjoyable.
We had a good breakfast here, poached eggs in like a dill yoghurt with bread. Very tasty. I also liked the way they served the lattes on a little tray with a glass of water and coconut chocolate. Toilets were lovely and clean 🙂
Jakki B — Google review
I know this is a training cafe, but someone also needs to get into the kitchen and teach how to poach an egg. We received what looked more like hard boiled eggs, not poached. And the coffee was not even Luke warm. Prices are no cheaper than anywhere else so unimpressed. And also teach wait staff not to chew gum when working the floor. Presentation was 10/10, but taste below par.

Well worth a visit. Students learning how to become waiters/waitresses. Very reasonably priced. Wide range of drinks/sweet treats :)

Justin E — Google review
The cafe really has an amazing vibe. The waiters/students are obviously trying their very best and were extremely polite and kind, and the cakes, coffee and lemonade were all very tasty too. There's also a lot of power sockets, so you can work or charge your phone there. The interior isn't the most interesting, but it's still clean and nice. If you go there, please really know that you're going to a training cafe, and don't be rude to the waiters for some mistakes, as we also heard.
Kristýna V — Google review
i got a flat white for 76czk which is good! but i dont think it was made with a barista machine, rather an instant machine - it was too strong, lacking depth. id rate it 6/10. BUT the service is excellent - especially if you wish for somewhere to study or work. i stayed for 2 hours on a friday afternoon and the staff were really kind to me :) also there is a preserved water well in the floor! haha
Moonie — Google review
Even though most of the waiters and waitresses are practicing students, they really did put in their effort in providing a good service! The coffee and cake are very nice, and the atmosphere is great too. I love sitting at the window and just staring at the street. I highly recommend this place and all the best to all the young staff over there!
David ( — Google review
Great potential because of the location of the place, and ok prices. But count with the fact that this place is primarily a training café for the high school apprentices that wants to become waiter later on. Everyone from stuff is very nice and polite. But the waitress waiting our table, a very young girl, had hard time to first remember our order, and then she mixed our coffees. I wanted decaffeinated caffé latte, my friend wanted a regular cappuccino. In a while we got two coffees in front of us. I got something in a mug that looked like cappuccino, my friend got something in a higher glass that looked like café latte. We said to the girl that it seems that she had mixed up our orders and my coffee looks like cappuccino, and my friend's coffee looks like caffé latte. We were assured that this is correct, as the barman prepared it this way. Me and my friend said that we can stick with this option, no problem, but that I really want decaf. We were again assured that this is correct. The girl left. In a bit another waiter came, a mature guy. He apologized and said that our order had been switched and he changed the coffees on our table. I believe that the girl will learn by time, but in the meantime, have patience and be prepared to check your orders when you receive them. The place offers deliciously looking cakes and some small meals or snacks in a case you are hungry. I also liked green wall inside covered with moss. This decoration creates very cozy atmosphere.

This is one of the best playgrounds we have ever been to ❤️ . You can argue it is part of OC Olympia and it serves diabolical purposes of consumer lifestyle. That is probably true but it can't change the fact that it is awesome 👏. You can find any and all attractions for kids. I mean it. For every age group. There is even a climbing wall 🧱. Did I mention a train? With long railway 🛤? Big benefit for me are trees 🌳🌳🌳. Real big nice trees all around the playground. The shade they provide is priceless. (Translated by Google) Travel date: October 4, 2023 Zelny Trh is a tourist market in a local small town. From the perspective of Taiwanese people, it is probably a "small farmer's market" or "agricultural product market". Most of the small vendors sell flowers, fruits, and self-operated agricultural products; the prices of fruits are mostly listed in terms of how much is 100g, so they seem very cheap, but after actual weighing, the prices are quite astonishing, and they will be tourist prices. If you want to eat fruit, it is recommended that you go to a nearby supermarket to buy it more cost-effectively. There are also many restaurants and shops near the small town. If you have the opportunity to come to Zelny Trh, you can arrange at least an hour to walk around and experience the local small town life. It is very good. Recommended scheduling time: 1 hour to 1.5 hours. Go again index: 8/10 points (Original)

There is also a nice playground and sitting area right next to the animals. We spent over an hour here and then continued to Hopsálkov, which is right next door. The kids enjoyed it and that's the main thing. Dostali kousek mrkve.

Stopkova Plzeňská Pivnice is a relaxed pub with a rustic atmosphere, offering traditional broths and meat dishes along with a selection of beer and wine. The pub features a distinctive curved copper bar topped with a brewing kettle, creating an authentic Pilsner Urquell ambiance. Housed in a neo-renaissance building dating back to the gothic period, this establishment has been serving patrons since the late 19th century.
We ordered the typical Old Czech cuisine and it didn't disappoint at all. The portion is big to the price. We shared between 3 small Asian women and still overly full. The roasted duck is very tender, all small cuts are very tasty and surprisingly different to each other, and the dumplings are excellent. Definitely a very popular pub to the locals. Worth the recommendation!

Absolutely outstanding! The grilled tenderloin beef steak was perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor – one of the best I’ve had in Brno. Finished with their almond cheesecake, which was heavenly. A must-visit for food lovers!

The best place to try traditional Czech cuisine in Brno! We liked it so much that we came back here twice during our stay in the city. Very tasty, huge selection, large portions, and made with love. Especially liked the veal tartare and duck. Attentive and cheerful staff - high level experience of every aspect customer might think.

We really enjoyed this place! 🍻 The portions are big, the food is traditional and very tasty, and the beer is excellent. The service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend trying the ribs or the pork knuckle – both were amazing. Definitely a great spot in Brno for hearty Czech food and a good pint.

On our way to Prague, we stopped for lunch. It was our first meal and beer ever in the Czech Republic, and we were very pleased. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the interior lovely. This is where my obsession with Czech-style sweet cabbage began, absolutely delicious!

So I went to this place because they had smoked lamb sausages on the menu but they did not taste like lamb at all. The duck was rather dry and not very flavorful. However, the dark beer was good. I would not go back to this place. The service was efficient, though unfriendly, it seemed.
Brad B — Google review
The food was so good and big portions! Even the 1/4 of duck was still a huge pan of amazing duck, dumplings, and cabbage. It was perfect! A great spot to come if you’re getting in late and need something to seat!

would come back and visit Brno just because of this place. at first before i got in, i was absolutely scared when i saw the horde of people outside, but thankfully they werent waiting here. as soon as I got inside, i got hit by the absolutely stunning decorations and incredible smell of food (might be because i was starving but i dont know). the staff was nice, and the food came in about 15 minutes or so. the menu had so many options that it took me a long episode of brainstorming to decide what i should eat, but it was worth it. the food was incredible. the toilets were nice too, after a longer trip i was surpised to see it had no fees to enter

Cozy and elegant atmosphere, large outdoor seating area. Service is friendly and professional. Food is absolutely delicious, especially the beef tartare, the filet mignon, and the churros & fruits dessert. Prices are relative fine as well. Most definitely worth the visit!

I booked a table at this place for our team building. The organisation was really great, booking was confirmed online without any issues. The food was delicious and prepared really fast. It was possible to pack some stuff for take away. The personnel were polite and English speaking. Overall it was a great experience.

Their octopus is divine. The place has a very exclusive and elegant atmosphere. The staff were very nice and served us in a very appropriate way. We had a very cosy and delicious lunch. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a delicious meal in a restaurant with a modern atmosphere in Brno. It was the best choice on the way home from Prague.
Máté N — Google review
The food was undeniably delicious - especially the Vrabec, which was prepared to perfection. However, I found the pricing to be excessive for what was offered. 🤑 Charging for bread I didn’t request felt unnecessary, especially considering that in most places a small “greeting from the kitchen” is typically complimentary. Here, it came with a charge. Paying 182 CZK for two small colas was also quite surprisining. It bordered on unreasonable. While the trout was tasty, the accompanying spaghetti and olive oil lacked the quality one might expect at this price point. The pasta didn’t stand out, and the olive oil certainly wasn’t premium. Overall, the meal had high points, but the value just didn’t align with the pricing. Service was adequate, though not particularly memorable. Interior is beautiful.
Gozo B — Google review
A very nice fine-dine restaurant, suitable for business meetings or for some more special occasions. There is a big range of offered meals so I think that everybody would choose. I personally went for spaghetti carbonara, but I wasn't quite satisfied. For some reason, my meal was very dry. It's possible that I'm either used to something a bit different, not enough egg yolk was used, or that I was talking and eating the meal for too long so the meal got dry. But I stopped eating in the middle as I didn't enoy it much. The waiter waiting the table where I sat reacted and explained to me the way how spaghetti at the restaurant is prepared, but I wasn't offered any improvement or so. In general, staff is very polite and professional. And I like small details at the place, such as things offered to the female customers at ladies toilets. Since the toilets are located at -1 floor, the restuarant might not be suitable for people with disabilities that can't walk stairs. Unless there is another toilet for the customers that I didn't notice.
Jana K — Google review
Very nice place for better dinner or lunch. In Brno is only few restaurants like this where you can enjoy really good steak. This time it was amazing and everything went perfectly. Restaurant can be quite full like at our visit so you may have problem to park (restaurant has parking lot but not as big to fit all guests). We had a mishap with reservation when we were seated to wrong table and in an hour we had to move to our original table as we were bigger company, however all was very polite and without problems. Steaks and all the rest went amazing, everyone was happy. Definitely recommend to visit and reservation is must. Be prepared prices can be for Brno very high.

Health food restaurant
Rebio Velký Špalíček - Bio restaurace is a delightful vegetarian eatery nestled in the heart of the Czech Republic, part of a well-known chain that champions bio-certified cuisine. The restaurant features an inviting buffet system where diners can load their plates with as much food as they desire, with prices determined by weight. This unique approach allows for flexibility but can lead to higher costs if you're particularly hungry.
They have a relatively wide selection of food and desserts, and there is always "some" gluten-free options, but often too few. I've never seen their croquettes and schnitzel-style dishes without gluten. Oftentimes, same ingredients are repeated in different dishes. Cakes are expensive and dry. Eating here is becoming expensive compared to other bio/vegetarian businesses. A full plate without soup or dessert costs 200-250 czk, and if you are a big eater, 300 czk. Still, kudos to the staff for keeping the restaurant open 7 days/week where other branches and bio/vegetarian restaurants are closed, it has saved me from going hungry in Brno!
R P — Google review
An absolutely delicious vegetarian restaurant with a variety of foods to choose from. Soups are exceptionally delicious. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it!
Henrijetaknjižnimoljac — Google review
We keep going to this place, whenever we can. Usually we go there just for a cake and drink. This time we had lunch. I'm not used to vegan restaurants but I can say that everything tasted really good, I felt satisfied but not crazy full. That's a nice feeling. The place is nice and all people working there are always smiling and polite. I love it.

This bio restaurant is amazing. I have remembered this place before when I used to live in Brno, more than 6 years ago. At this moment is probably twice bigger than before but same busy as before. Very popular for their healthy food, drinks, salads, smoothies, desserts. You can order pizza or pancakes. Me and my partner like turmeric latte. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who would like to try something new or even a healthy option of some meals.
Lenka K — Google review
I’ve been coming here since 2014. but I’m disappointed to say that in recent years the quality has really declined :( My 8 year old and I come for dinner and salad was dry, potatoes cold. Most of the food seems to be prepared by someone who doesn’t like their job that much which makes the food dull and tasteless. We also found a glass that was stained with lipstick so the dishes aren’t washed properly. I hope they make some improvements and make Rebio attractive place to eat even if it’s a cantine style of eating it can still be delicious. Fingers crossed.

Rebio is a vegetarian restaurant located in the 1st floor of the shopping mall Velky Spalicek. Despite the fact that I am not a Vegetarian, I like it very much. There is always a huge variety of foods, drinks and sweets of high quality. I always eat here when I come to Brno.
Dora S — Google review
Having lunch or a quick bite to eat at Rebio is never disappointing. Arguably the best place for pure vegetarian food in Brno. A wide variety of choices not only for the main courses but also the enticing vegetarian desserts. The food quality is excellent, the service is friendly and the atmosphere is always great. Perhaps with the exception of the busiest times when it could be challenging to find an unoccupied table.

Nice calm place with many hiking trails, but you need to be lucky to see deer. Boars are easy to watch behind the fence, because their space is not that large, so you can definitely find some.

Step into the fascinating world of prehistoric times at the Anthropos Pavilion, which has a rich history dating back to the First Czechoslovak Republic. Originally established by renowned Czech researcher Prof. Karel Absolon in 1928, this unique museum showcases an extensive collection of artifacts documenting the early settlement of Moravia and Europe. Visitors can marvel at a life-size model of a mammoth with cubs standing at 3.5 meters tall.
It is relatively small compared to museums in Vienna yet it is packed with lots of beautiful and interesting things. And beautiful drawings !!! But info is only in czech in the main rooms and Google translate was not always that helpful. The Amazonas exhibition is also not that big but the items on display are worth a visit. The only thing is that the qrs for English info did not always work and Infos were often shorter and without any pictures. Food is also good. I wish they would have sold some amazonian art or something corresponding to the exhibition (not just parrot plushies)
Victoria — Google review
A place where both children and adults can learn something. I visited the museum specifically for Amazonia exhibition and I wasn't disappointed. I spent two hours just by exploring what the exhibition offers. I'm glad that besides the permanent exhibition there are also these temporary ones. Staff members, both lady at the cash desk and the lady checking the tickets at the entrance of the exhibition, were really nice.
Jana K — Google review
It's okay for wasting 2 hours of time (for example a small trip with kids before lunch). As many reviews say, the equipment and expositions are outdated, covered by spider webs and dust. I came here with kids just because we were in MAMUZ Mistelbach (Ice age exposition) so we wanted to see how it's done in Brno. Frankly, it was way better in Mistelbach as it was designed for kids - a lot of interactive elements (we could make a flute out of a bone, built a teepee, match teeth with animals and other). There was a kids corner in Mistelbach with lots of papers and colored pencils (including sharpener). In Brno, there were a few of them and even without a sharper (it felt a bit unmaintained). In both Brno and Mistelbach, there was a cave with paintings, but in Mistelbach, there were hand lamps avaialble, in Brno I had to use my phone.
Jaroslav N — Google review
the exhibition is rather small but the pieces displayed are indeed very interesting. one downside that absolutely must be considered is the whole thing is in czech. there is some translation here and there but not much

perfect, very nice swimming, very nice staff and very nice place

I wanted to leave a review about the gym. There are no problem with staff or equipment, but the conditions are simply terrible. You can close your eyes to the fact that water is dripping from the ceiling, from the pool)), but the temperature in the gym makes the gym like a sauna. In normal season, it is very hot in the gym because of the warm pipes through which water flows into the pool, and in the summer the temperature in the gym is simply unbearable, it is very difficult to exercise, I interrupted the gym a couple of times simply because I felt bad. They install additional 3 fans, but they only circulate warm air. I don’t understand why this problem is not being solved, the gym is not large enough to be cooled with air conditioning, but it’s probably expensive for the administration. They found money for a new restaurant or lockers, but no air conditioning in gym.

Great pool. Nice experience, but a little on the pricy side. Just one slide, 2 saunas, whirlpool, 2 pools inside + pool outside. Nice for 90 minutes, after that nothing more to do (unless you go outside as well).
Martin R — Google review
A good place to go for a swim. Also suitable for families and kids. I visit this pool on regular basis and never had anything to complain about. Usually, there are two lanes reserved for fitness swimming in the 25 meters inside pool. Staff is always very friendly and helpful.
Pavel R — Google review
It was OK, but we probably didn't get there at a good time. The staff doesn't really care, the floor was totally wet, no one took care of this. The attractions are OK for a small aquapark, nothing stunning though. The eucalyptus sauna was too intensive (even for me and I like intensive sauna).
Tomáš P — Google review
All is OK. Dressing rooms are awful and a water was a little bit too cold. BTW you can enter the area without paying if you will go through the restaurant ;)
Dmytro L — Google review
Great facility... this time in private sauna for a reasonable price with a possibility of a beer or another drink inside :)
Petr S — Google review
A great place for lap swimming. You can even have a lane for yourself if you go at the right time.

Retro muzeum Na statku offers a fascinating glimpse into life during the communist era, showcasing an impressive collection of well-preserved artifacts that transport visitors back in time. The museum is set in a serene and spacious environment, allowing for an immersive experience as you explore the various exhibits. It's a perfect spot for those interested in history and culture to reflect on this unique period while enjoying the tranquil atmosphere.
Excellent display of historical goods available in Czechoslovakia during the communist era. What’s most amazing is how clean and new the condition is of the items collected.
Jason M — Google review
A huge exhibition of fairly random things grouped by the stores where they were being sold, but absolutely without any story… Nothing on the production of particular goods or economy of the country of that time. And no English spoken.
Andrey T — Google review
Mainly speak Czech only so use google translate if you are an English speaker. We felt this place was totally worth it and we paid 350 ck per person to see everything (3 different areas which are 150 ck each I think). Large and well organized. A little bit of a walk but the bus system gets you pretty close and is a 30 min ride from the main station in Brno. Spent about 2 hours there, but could probably have spent 3 if it wasn’t closing by 6 and we got there at 4.
Duy N — Google review
A look into life under communism. Really calm open space to see well preserved artifacts.
