Outdoor Activities
Marconi Beach is a picturesque and historic destination located in Wellfleet, offering scenic hiking paths, a bicycle trail, and an observation platform. The beach is famous for being the site of the world's first trans-Atlantic communication and has a 40-foot coastal bluff that provides stunning views. Visitors can enjoy activities such as swimming, surfing, surfcasting, and long walks along the glorious stretch of Cape Cod National Seashore.
Marconi Beach in Massachusetts is truly a gem of the Cape Cod National Seashore. My recent visit there left me in awe of its stunning beauty. The white sand is incredibly soft and pristine, stretching for miles along the Atlantic coast. It's the perfect place for a relaxing day in the sun or a leisurely walk along the shoreline. One of the standout features of Marconi Beach is its dramatic dunes. These towering sand formations provide a picturesque backdrop and make you feel like you're in a serene, untouched paradise. The waves are gentle enough for swimming, but there's still enough surf to keep things interesting for those who enjoy bodyboarding. The beach is also relatively uncrowded, even during peak season, which adds to its charm. There are plenty of spots to set up your towel and umbrella without feeling cramped. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, with convenient access to restrooms and outdoor showers. Parking is ample, and the walk from the parking lot to the beach is short and scenic. I also appreciated the informative signs about the area's history and wildlife, which added an educational element to the visit. Overall, Marconi Beach is a must-visit if you're in Massachusetts. Its breathtaking beauty, tranquility, and excellent amenities make it a perfect destination for a day trip or a longer stay. I can't wait to go back!

An amazing beach at cape coral national seashore. Plenty of seals are visible in the area. Beware of sharks.
Julian M — Google review
Beautiful beach on the Atlantic with nice rollers about 4’ great for boogie boarding. A few surfers out but short rides. Water is cold around 60 degrees! Seals in the water; lifeguard flying shark flag (seen in last 24 hours but no imminent threat)! Beautiful colors in the water as you gaze out to the horizon and soft sand!
Kurt A — Google review
Beautiful clean beach with a dogs-allowed section. But it was very hot and there is a lot of stairs, so be sure to bring an umbrella, lots of drinking water, and a cooling vest if your dog is older or sensitive to heat. We also saw a seal swimming so close, it was amazing. There is a shower-off station that we were able to rinse ourselves & our guy off at before we left. If you ever visit Cape Cod with your dog you must check it out.
Natalie S — Google review
This is a weird beach. The sand is super hot, the water is super cold, and the shoreline (where ocean meats the land) is full of incredibly sharp giant rocks and shells. I didn't know that when coming and cut the crap out of my foot. Still, it was very beautiful and the cold water was really invigorating. If I had water shoes I would give it 4 stars.
Stuart D — Google review
Beautiful beach and amazing parking. The beach has bathrooms and water available. There are a lot of steps that go down to the beach, so be prepared for that. It is fun to play in the ocean and there’s so a lot of sand and relatively few rocks! Go! The beach is huge!

Gorgeous!! Beautiful sand and Gorgeous water and views!! Great place for surfing any level 🏄🏽‍♀️🏄🏻🏄🏻‍♂️

Guests can savor their meals while taking in panoramic vistas from the rooftop deck, which overlooks Mayo Beach, Great Island, and the town pier.
Come here every time I’m on the cape!! I always get the kale soup and the fish and chips. 10/10. Seating outside of you have a dog with you too!

It doesn't look like much but it's a great place to get some real food. I started out with a dozen Wellfleet oysters on the half shell. Nice and fresh. Cleaned properly and served on a bed of ice. I only wish that the cocktail sauce had more horseradish. We also ordered the chowder and it was very good. Fresh, and seasoned well. Fish and Chips ordered. Kitchen help was clearly visible. Our server Choloe was quick to take our drink orders and get our food orders. Well, that was the best meal I've had on the Cape. Large, thick, tender pieces of delicious Cod. Perfectly cooked french fries. We even had a good tasting piece of Key Lime pie. We had a great experience.
Larry H — Google review
This is the place to be if you're in Wellfleet. There's a band on most afternoons during happy hour and every comes out so expect it to be busy. While I didn't love the lobster rolls, their fried shrimp are both huge, juicy and delicious. Get a plate as appetizers or the shrimp tacos. Both are great! Finally, when in Wellfleet, get the oysters! They're not too brine-y and delicious.
Alex — Google review
Great atmosphere and really good service. We went two separate evenings because we enjoyed it so much. Solid fare. Don’t miss the Wellfleet oysters, and the New England shrimp and grits.
Heather — Google review
Fresh sparkling Wellfleet Oysters, rich but not heavy clam chowder, all top off with Moules Marinieres, PEI mussels, garlic, shallots, white wine, Pernod liqueur, butter, and parsley…YUMMY and now the season is over!
Sig — Google review
Had an amazing experience tonight 9/6 at the bar. Bar staff was incredddddible. Soooo kind, attentive, and made time to chit chat even tho it was soooo busy. One taller younger guy in particular was taking care of us and never made us feel rushed; even took the time to offer me a taste of one of the beers on tap when I just inquired about what it was, even tho I could tell he was so busy. We got 2 apps (nachos and tuna) and they came out SO FAST and were so fresh and delicious. The tuna was so tender it fell apart with the chop sticks. At the pearl a high volume busy Saturday dinner rush does not mean any slacking in the food or service. Every staff member we came in contact with had a big smile and was so kind. Could not have had a better experience
Laurel R — Google review
The absolute best restaurant and our go-to every time we visit the Cape. The service is exceptional, the food is always tasty and the atmosphere is lively, whether visiting in the spring, summer or fall. The manager, Alison, is extremely accommodating and makes every experience at the Pearl an enjoyable one. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
Brooke C — Google review
We had an amazing experience at Pearl Restaurant & Bar, with a stunning view from the deck overlooking the harbor. My dad enjoyed a Cape Cod Blonde, while I savored a Mendoza Malbec from Argentina, and my girlfriend had the Decoy Merlot. It was happy hour, so we couldn’t resist trying the Wellfleet oysters and little necks, which were just a dollar each. My dad and girlfriend loved them (I’m not much of a seafood person), and knowing the oysters came straight from the harbor made it even better. The service was exceptional—our server was friendly, gave great recommendations, and was very attentive throughout our meal. The Caesar salad was fresh, with homemade dressing and warm chicken that had excellent flavor. The fish tacos were also a highlight—fresh and flavorful, with a slaw that really tied everything together. My dad couldn’t stop raving about the cold lobster roll and the homemade chips that came with it. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience with great food, drinks, and service. I’d definitely recommend Pearl Restaurant & Bar, especially if you’re looking for a place with both amazing views and quality seafood.

The Beachcomber in Wellfleet is a lively bar and restaurant located on the beach within a 1897 lifesaving station. It offers a cozy atmosphere with great jazz music and seafood dishes. This Cape Cod institution has been overlooking the dunes on Cahoon Hollow Beach for over 50 years, providing stunning views of the Atlantic.
Haven’t been in 15 years and went for this past Labor Day weekend. This place is magical and is still amazing, one of the best bars in the northeast very easily. Such good summer vibes, music, drinks, and solid fish oriented pub food. Location is unbeatable. Tucked away in protected national seashore, not built up unlike over run Jersey shore.
Thomas F — Google review
The food was great. My picky son exclaimed, "the best mozzarella sticks ever!" My tuna taco was good, but needed some additional sauce. The seafood was fresh and delicious. It gets hot inside, but we were lucky to get a table outside. Excellent service!
Fred S — Google review
Go to this place knowing: It’s a bar on the beach It’s right on a beautiful beach. It serves bar food There will be a long wait. You can sit indoors but what’s the point? You have to pay $30 to park there. Note that you can use the $30 to pay for food and clothes but NOT for alcohol. All that being said - the food is good. Had the scallops on a salad. Thought it was a nice large portion. I think it’s worth the aggravation.
Alan — Google review
On the picturesque Ocean View Drive, you are waved down in front of the Beachcomber road entrance and asked if you need a beach parking space. When you get down there, the parking fee is $30, for which you receive a voucher of the same value for the Beachcomber Restaurant. Good business idea. On the terrace with standing tables, I ordered delicious fish and chips and a freshly tapped beer. Around the corner there is another terrace with a seating area, and inside the pub-style restaurant is pretty cool. You feel it very comfortable here. After our meal, we walked down the sand dune over a huge sand ramp to the beautiful (patrolled) Cahoon Hollow Beach, where you find the typical warning signs for Great Whites. All in all, including the famous Nauset Lighthouse visit, this was a great day trip. If you want to finish your day with an incredibly beautiful sunset, drive to Mayo Beach on the west coast of Wellfleet that is only 15 minutes away.
Mike — Google review
Food ok but the views were great! Long walk down Sandy path to beach. There were seals playing up and down the coast. Not a lot of people on the beach. Hike back up is a killer if you're carrying beach chairs.
Sherri S — Google review
THE beach restaurant on the Cape. Tons of people, yet not too too long of a wait. Quality food, portions, and pricing--all three are fair. Efficient and kind service with a vast menu. Parking is paid, but this pay then gets taken off of your check (no additional money). Outdoor and indoor bars and tables. The best atmosphere a beach bar could have. Outdoor seating under a tent, plenty of bathrooms, and a unique layout. It's awesome.
Jack S — Google review
Very unique and cool spot to stop for a drink and a bite. They charge for parking but you get a voucher that can go towards your meal. The views are awesome! I had the painkiller and the scallop Caesar and thought both were great.
Mariah J — Google review
Nice cozy restaurant with an ocean view raw bar. It's right on the beach, so it is a great place to go after spending some time in the sand, sea, and sun. The only reason I gave it four stars is the use of paper plates and plastic cups. Parking is also an issue.

Duck Harbor Beach is a hidden gem in Wellfleet, Cape Cod, offering a serene and picturesque setting. Unlike other more popular beaches in the area, Duck Harbor Beach boasts beautiful views, dunes along the shoreline, and calm waters. It's conveniently located on the bay side of Wellfleet and is easily accessible from the town pier. While not ideal for swimming due to rocky flats at certain tides, it's perfect for beachcombing and collecting rocks and shells.
Always a beautiful experience here !
Christina F — Google review
The beach is beautiful but very rocky!
Julian M — Google review
Amazing Beach specially for sunset watching
Monica M — Google review
This is probably the best place on the Outer Cape to watch a sunset. Beach stickers are not required in the evening. The beach is a moderate-effort walk over the dune at the end of the parking lot.
A G — Google review
Really nice beach with a great sunset watching. Some parking spots are available, especially off season.
Olimpia Z — Google review
Love how secluded this beach is! Very rocky at low tide. Saw some seals pop up close to the shore.
Amanda C — Google review
Very interesting beach!
Kelly M — Google review
This is a joke. Don't go unless you have a 4x4 and good a backing up. The road to the beach is a single lane road through a creepy forest. The parking it a sandbox (maybe will fit 4 cars) then a 15min walk through the dunes to get to the beach. There are plenty more place to see the sunset that are easily accessible

Lecount Hollow Beach, also known as Maguire's Landing, is a spacious and picturesque beach located in Wellfleet, within the Cape Cod National Seashore. The beach offers big waves for surfing enthusiasts and is patrolled by lifeguards for safety. Access to the shore involves navigating a steep walkway down the towering dunes that surround the area. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the beach's natural beauty, with soft sand perfect for various beach sports like volleyball and football.
In my opinion, this is one of the most beautiful beaches in the United States. Clean and unspoiled by snack shacks, piers, etc. After Labor Day it's almost empty. The parking lot is well paved but not terribly big. Be aware that the walk from the parking lot to the beach is very steep and sandy, so if you have difficulty walking, this is not the beach for you.
DM — Google review
Great beach. I found free parking (mid October) and they had a restroom available. It is a steep walk down to the beach, but once you get down there it is divine. Very peaceful and expansive. I fly my kite and played my hang drum. I had a picnic and got my feet wet in the water.
Matthew D — Google review
First time ever seeing the ocean in the north eastern US was here for the first time 2 days ago! Beautiful! But looks dangerous, between the white sharks and the tide. Be careful here!
Zac S — Google review
Great view of surf stirred up by Hurricane Erin. No stairs to the beach.
John B — Google review
Beautiful beach, off season beach fire allowed (check city website). Worth taking a stroll. Very clean
Michael S — Google review
One of our favorite beaches in Wellfleet. Beach pass needed. Lifeguard always on duty during peak season. Bathrooms and emergency call phone. There is always plenty of room on this beach and is never over crowded. There is a dune to walk down.

Moby Dick's Restaurant, established in 1983, is a beloved family-friendly spot in Wellfleet, Cape Cod. This summer-only establishment prides itself on serving top-quality New England seafood classics in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. With hits like lobster rolls, fried shrimp, crab cakes, and more, Moby Dick's has been delighting locals and tourists for nearly four decades.
This place was great. We got to experience proper American service and friendliness first hand. I've never had my drink refilled so many times, and I'm all for it... Furthermore, the food was excellent and exactly what we wanted, fresh fried fish 🍤 (and plenty of it). Cozy outdoor sitting area too...
Harry G — Google review
I just had one of the best lobster rolls here! The staff are very welcoming and even when it gets busy, they still make sure that everything is going okay for you. We also ordered the clam chowdah and calamari platter. You get what you pay for, which is a lot of good quality food. Also make sure to check out the gift shop next door. They have some neat trinkets and gifts.
Kendric G — Google review
Moby Dick's in Wellfleet is an absolute gem! The service is top-notch—friendly, fast, and efficient, with an attentive staff that works incredibly hard. My late afternoon lunch was a delight, and I was so glad I went early because the dinner line was long, though the staff was there to assist. The food was outstanding. The local Chatham steamed clams were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. But the star was the lobster roll—packed with delicious claw meat and, I think, a touch of paprika. It was simply one of the best I've ever had. With a gift shop and a takeout window for convenience, Moby Dick's is a true Cape Cod classic. I highly recommend the lobster roll and the steamers, and I've also heard great things about their scallop and clam rolls. You won't be disappointed!
George D — Google review
Nice atmosphere, good food, and a clean restaurant. This a nice roadside place that offers inside and back patio dining. It’s a little pricey for the portions but it’s the Cape and I’d definitely go back.
David K — Google review
Wow, this place was amazing. The oysters were fresh and delicious. I had the grilled shrimp and scallops. My wife had the lobster roll. We traveled from Kansas to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary here in Provincetown. I am really glad we stopped here. The dessert was over the top. If you haven't eaten here, you need to.
Joshua B — Google review
My family and I enjoyed Moby Dick's Restaurant in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. The grilled swordfish was delicious and the corn on the cob was sweet as sugar. The lobster roll was succulent and filled with generous portions of claw meat. The restaurant is truly a Cape Cod gem! Don't miss out!
Palma S — Google review
Stopped here on the drive home from Provincetown on a recommendation from a friend and it was definitely a solid lunch spot. My partner has celiacs and was thankfully able to get a lobster roll on a gluten free bun and clam chowder. Unfortunately all of the fried food was cross contaminated with gluten but they were happy to substitute her fries with a baked potato. No frills seafood but the staff was incredibly friendly and the food was solid.

Just stumbled upon a true gem on Cape Cod! 🐟✨
Moby Dick Restaurant in Wellfleet is a seafood lover’s dream—tucked away but absolutely worth the find. We went all in with their $49 jumbo lobster roll (yes, it's as massive and buttery as it sounds!) and a perfectly crispy shrimp basketthat hit all the right notes. 🍤🦞 To top it off, we ended with a slice of Key Lime Pie that was the perfect refreshing finish—zesty, creamy, and unforgettable. 🍋🥧 What makes it even better? Just steps away is a charming little gift shop in the same parking lot, filled with coastal treasures and local finds. It's the ideal spot to explore after a satisfying meal. If you’re visiting the Cape and want a local, authentic New England seafood experience—this is the spot. 💙 Follow my food blog for more food recommendations @got_gourmet #CapeCodEats #WellfleetMA #MobyDickRestaurant #JumboLobsterRoll #KeyLimePieLove #ShrimpBasketBliss #SeafoodHeaven #CapeCodFoodie #HiddenGemsCapeCod #SeafoodLovers #EatLocalCapeCod #CapeCodLife #TravelMA #NewEnglandEats #SupportLocalBusinesses #CoastalVibes #FoodBloggerFinds #MassachusettsEats

Winslow's Tavern is a seafood-centric New American restaurant housed in an elegant 1805 mansion located in the heart of Wellfleet. The colonial home offers spacious outdoor dining and has a rich history, having served as a summer residence for Massachusetts Governor Channing Cox and hosting President Calvin Coolidge. The restaurant prides itself on offering locally sourced ingredients, with a focus on fish and shellfish caught in the area.
Great choice for indoor or outdoor dining. I had oysters plus striped bass plus a glass of wine outside in the shade. The meal was specially prepared for me to avoid gluten and dairy. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were too late for oyster happy hour.

We had lunch at Winslow’s today and it was amazing. Our server was Luis, and he was super attentive and had awesome suggestions. We shared a bunch of small plates, the fingerling potatoes are a must try, gazpacho was perfect and the crudo was delicious. The star of the show for us was the white chocolate mousse for dessert! Highly recommend for anyone traveling to Wellfleet - we will definitely be going back.

We had a lovely dinner at Winslow’s Tavern with the family. The outdoor patio is super cozy and perfect for a relaxed meal. The staff was very friendly and gave us great recommendations. Cocktails were excellent, and the oysters were outstanding — fresh and full of flavor. We also tried the octopus, which was a bit spicier than expected but still very good. For mains, we had the grilled bass and the skate — both were beautifully cooked and definitely worth trying. A wonderful spot for a special meal in a charming setting. Highly recommended!

Well crafted food and convivial service. Love the creamy clam chowder (if you like them creamy) and swordfish schnitzel with honey glaze (best swordfish steak i ever had). As one might know the fish texture is firm and dry and usually served like a thick cut rump steak. The spacious indoor dining room is beautifully decorated in contemporary style with art works and we were so glad that we were blessed with beautiful sunny day that we can sit outside under these giant trees in the courtyard for our lunch.
Jean N — Google review
Large menu. Terrific food. Had the Mixed Seafood Pasta, Striped Sea Bass, and shared an Arugala salad. All of the dishes and cocktails were great. Very good service on a beautiful outdoor patio.
David B — Google review
Oh my what a find! We sat upstairs in the tavern instead of outside and we had the pleasure of Hunter, our server. Food was just outstanding. I had a pasta that was wonderful. My spouse had scallops (sweet corn and scallops risotto ) she raved about. Even the presentation on the summer salad revealed a chef with personality and whimsy. My cocktail was a vodka/pear simple syrup/lemon juice/orange bitters combo that was fantastic. The bar staff knows what they're doing. Host outside was a little snooty telling us there were no tables outside but that's a thankless job to begin with, and we were then overwhelmed by Hunter's attentiveness anyway That was an immediate "save" on his part. I was happy to tell my brother and sister in law about the place. Though they've lived in N. Truro for decades, they were unaware of it. We drive from Minnesota every summer to visit and this certainly is this year's highlight (so far, we're going up to our camp in Northern Vermont for a week)

We had the best night at Winslows Tavern! Went there for dinner- the food & drinks were amazing (best scallops we’ve ever had). Then after walking around Wellfleet, we decided to go back for the bar upstairs. Megan & Lou (along with all the other staff) had such a positive energy & the drinks were great 🙂

The Wicked Oyster is a charming American restaurant housed in a historic 1750 building in Wellfleet, MA. This dog-friendly eatery offers a diverse menu featuring hearty breakfast options, seafood specialties, steaks, salads, and burgers. With its open outdoor patio where furry friends are welcome to join diners under umbrella-shaded tables, The Wicked Oyster provides a welcoming and casual dining experience.
New owners and new menu! We liked and enjoyed the previous version of this restaurant and we are so happy the new version is excellent! The food is very delicious. Highlights were the Steamed Mussels, Roasted Skate and the Smoked Half Chicken. We can’t wait to return and try more dishes on the menu! They are still working out the kinks with new staff - there were little slip-ups here and there - and new reservation system so patience and understanding is needed. Update as of June 28, 2024: Consistently amazing! Service is excellent! The Mussels continue to be the standout dish. The lobster gnocchi is very good with the gnocchi like pillows. We tried their desserts this time and what a nice surprise to have desserts - the chocolate cake and sesame ice cream - that are savory and sweet, loved them. The chef changed the sauce on the Skate to a red pepper sauce but we prefer the pot pie sauce. I added more photos of the delicious food!!! We cleaned our plates.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant! Definitely my favorite in Wellfleet. They have a great happy hour from 4 to 6 with specials on oysters and burgers, plus the full menu is still available. Liam the bartender is the best!!

Five stars based on the quality of the oysters, the helpfulness of the staff, and the inviting atmosphere. I stopped in for oyster happy hour and a glass of wine and sat on the couches to enjoy them. I did not try any of the main food so I can’t comment on that, but a dozen oysters for $20 coupled with a glass of vinho verde that my server recommended was the perfect appetizer to hold me over before my dinner plans later. I look forward to returning and trying the full menu.

We had a wonderful dinner at Wicked Oyster! The crab pasta was absolutely delicious — rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. My ribeye was a little underdone for my taste, but our server, Evey (not sure how to spell it!), was fantastic. She immediately took care of it and had it cooked a bit more. The staff even offered us dessert on the house for the trouble, which was such a thoughtful gesture, even though we didn’t end up getting any. The spicy margarita was amazing, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. Overall, great food, great service, and a relaxed Cape Cod vibe. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

BEST place on cape - so good my grandma told me not to post such a raving review (she wants to keep this place all to herself). Tye our server was the best, and the food was sublime 🪼🌸

I would never imagine that food of this caliber would be found outside of a big city. This restaurant is so delicious, we came back a SECOND night in a row to try more menu items! We tried most everything on the menu between the last two evenings and there is not one item that was a disappointment or waste of stomach space. Our top five recommendations would be: focaccia bread, filet of sole, crab pasta, Jonah crab salad, and the mushroom curry. I’m not a beet person, but even I ate the beets, further proving how excellent the offerings are. Not only that, but our servers were attentive, friendly, and proactive throughout both evenings providing new utensils, clean plates, and drink refills without needing to be asked. The atmosphere is comfortable and easy to carry a conversation in, but there is a lively buzz from all the guests within making you feel like you’re somewhere special. I highly recommend giving this spot a shot, but beware, it will become your new local favorite.

It's not often that one gets lucky enough to end up at a restaurant of this caliber. The Wicked Oyster brought surprises to our palate with every bite. The mussels in Spanish broth was so good that I will never eat them in bland wine/butter sauce. Every mouthful of the scallops with all the flavors of the pesto and snap peas was a delight. The big surprise was the sole in a delectable tomato butter with pistachio breadcrumbs and squash. This restaurant should not be missed.

I wanted so badly to fall in love with this place again after having a spectacular meal here with my husband a few years ago. But it was … weird. I took my daughter here for birthday dinner. Wellfleet oysters were delicious. We also ordered charcuterie, which turned out to be a relatively large plate of many slices of one type of cured meat — similar to Genoa salami. There was an absolutely unnecessary generous drizzle of olive oil on it. But cured meats like this don’t need that! Those white flecks? They are literally fat. Weird. (Is it odd to think a charcuterie app would be more than one kind of something?) Then someone from the kitchen came to our table with another, slightly smaller plate of many more pieces of the same meat and apologized profusely for having seen the first plate go out and thinking it wasn’t enough and it’s a new starter so here’s some more of the exact same thing. Our main course was fine but damn, can people stop putting RAISINS in savory dishes? And there was more olive oil on my polenta. Good olive oil, but still. My companions crab pasta was good, she said. Dessert finally — the chocolate pudding. It had a white lemony crust of some kind on top with some shriveled blueberries (raisins?) and I think some thyme and … yes, more olive oil. The pudding was decent but very very hard, like they made it this morning and it was in the fridge all day instead of bringing it up a little closer to room temp? It was like digging through very hard-packed soil. I was so disappointed with the overall quality of the meal. The service was good, mostly, the room was relatively easy to hear our conversation. I don’t think I’ll go back, unfortunately.

Nauset Lighthouse, a charming red and white lighthouse dating back to 1838, is a must-visit landmark on Cape Cod. It offers seasonal tours and features interpretive signage that tells the story of its relocation from Chatham to Eastham. The lighthouse serves as a warning to passing boats with its alternating red-and-white light visible for 23 miles every 10 seconds. Visitors can climb the tight corkscrew stairs on certain days for panoramic views.
Nice views from the lighthouse. Another 10 minutes walk on the trail and you can visit the Three Sister's. The parking lot is well maintained and the adjacent beach is stunning (paid parking lot). The Three Sister's parking lot is free but only for half hour (accessible through Nauset Beach Light Road).

We visited on a late Monday afternoon in mid-June 2025. There was plenty of parking in the parking lot. There was no one in the booth during our visit and no way to really pay. I wonder if they were understaffed and just couldn't put someone here. If you have the NPS Pass then you're good. We did sit ours on our dashboard just in case. But it's $25 per vehicle and $15 per person if you're walking or biking in. We were here to get our picture with our potato chip bag like many others were doing during our visit. We saw like 4 or 5 other groups looking to do the exact same time. You kind of unofficially wait in line for your turn. There are different angles you can time but to get the one perfectly with the photo on the chip bag you have to stand like in middle of the road. It was very picturesque in late evening. There are a few kiosks with signs and additional structures. We didn't have much time here so we didn't really explore more than just the light house and then moved onto the three sisters light houses. There is a trail here to walk down to the other light houses but it was easier just to walk back to our car and drive down the street. Overall we would probably visit again and explore more of the area and maybe actually hang out at the beach. It's too bad you can't go up into the light house.
David L — Google review
Once you arrive at the lighthouse by car, you have to pay around $20 for the large parking lot with clean restrooms. The clerk said that the parking ticket was valid for all parking spaces with beach access for that day. The beautiful lighthouse makes a perfect Instagram motif, with the famous Cape Cod Chips brand. Here you'll also find one of the oldest transatlantic submarine cable stations and other small twin lighthouses. The path to the beautiful Nauset Light Beach leads through a beautiful coastal forest. Once you get down there, you'll be greeted by friendly beach patrols at the beach entrance. The beach has very fine sand, and here and there you'll find surfers with a decent swell. If you're lucky, you might see seals. But be careful: where seals swim, there are also the notorious predators, see the signs near the beach.

My husband and I visited Nauset Lighthouse on 10-31-25. The beach area was so clean and beautiful. I was so lucky to find some special rocks that someone had painted. It made me smile, and yes I took one. The lighthouse was beautiful and well taken care of. Definitely a great place to visit and have lunch. Maybe even go swimming 😳 . There was no charge to visit the lighthouse or beach area when we went, due to the Government shutdown. The bathrooms were not open during our visit.
Reenie H — Google review
Volunteers tell you the history of the lighthouse before you step inside. Then another guide tells you more when you reach the top. They bring up about 15 people at a time. No admission fee charged, but donations are encouraged. They have a prop Cape Cod Potato Chip bag to take photos with which was cool. Very nice people volunteering. Worth a stop.

The iconic Nauset Lighthouse, is situated exactly in the Cape's mid point, in the Eastham, MA. During the off season the parking is free (during the season June to September it is $20), and the restrooms are closed. The lighthouse is easily accessible. You probably noticed this lighthouse on the famous New England Cape Cod's chips. You can walk down to the ocean, the beach is clean, the sand is so soft, and the water is so clean. We have even spotted a seal there. Near the Nauset Lighthouse, there is a trail to non working Three sisters lighthouses. You can walk there around 5 minutes, or you can drive there, as they have a small 30min free parking lot there.
Rose D — Google review
We had a lovely time at Nauset Light on Cape Cod. It’s exactly the kind of place you imagine when you think of New England lighthouses. The red & white tower stands out beautifully against the sky, and walking toward it through dunes and scrub gives you that classic coastal vibe. The lighthouse has a rich history. It was originally built in 1877 and then moved to its current Eastham location in 1923. Over time it’s been relocated further from the eroding cliff edge to preserve it. The surrounding area is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore, and there’s Nauset Light Beach just below the cliffs. Take time to walk around, enjoy views from the dunes, maybe hit the beach afterward, and don’t forget your camera — this lighthouse is more than just a landmark; it feels like folklore come to life. Parking can fill up early in the day, so it’s good to arrive early.
Peter S — Google review
Loved getting to see this beautiful light in person on our 15th wedding anniversary. The actual light house is privately owned and occupied, so there is no tour to really go on, but make sure you walk the trail from the main light down to The Three Sisters. There you'll find the three lights that used to stand and signal on the coastline, but have since been moved back, and what's left of them preserved from coastline erosion.

The Mass Audubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, located on Cape Cod, offers a diverse natural experience with woodlands, beach, heath, and salt marshes. Visitors can explore five miles of trails and boardwalks through various habitats such as woodlands, tidal marshes, coastal sand plains, and freshwater ponds.
We were really lucky to come across this place while driving by. It’s just 5 miles of trails, but they’re all super peaceful. We just walked around, enjoying the nature and the birds singing. There’s also a great spot by the shore with a beautiful view. We spent a lot of time just walking along the beach, checking out the shells in the sand. Definitely a really cool place. Hope we can come back sometime

Def recommend stopping by and walking the trails. The staff were super helpful and kind. The osprey nest was amazing to see. My child and I were able to walk about 2 miles of the trails together and it didn’t disappoint either of us. Def wear your sunblock and bug spray!

We visited on a late Sunday afternoon in mid-June 2025. There were plenty of spaces when we visited. There are a good number of trees as well if you're looking for a shady spot. It is a little bit of a walk to the visitor center from the parking spots. The parking lot was packed gravel and dirt. It was well maintained. There are ADA spots closer to main entrance. We arrived around 4PM and the Nature Center closed at 5PM. You can still stay in the park until dusk and there is a side exit you can take. I'm not sure if there are bathrooms available after the Nature Center closes however. The sign says to pay entrance fee using money pipe next to kiosk signs and map when building is closed. It's $8/adult, $5 (65+) and $3 (2-12yr old). members are free. There are a number of FREE admission for different groups and memberships as well. The Nature Center itself was great and much bigger than expected. When you walk in directly in front of you in the info desk. All the staff were super helpful and told us exactly what we should try and do and answered all of our questions. To the right is the gift shop which had a pretty nice selection but kind of generic items. To the left is the hallway to all the exhibits. This area was a lot bigger than I expected. They had a number of live animals in aquariums and tanks. Kids spent 15-20 mins in here looking around but we wanted to get on the trail. We took the trail straight to Goose Pond and crossed the bridge/boardwalk over and continued to the Try Island Trail. But we just stayed left and walked all the way out on the boardwalks. It does get really sandy so be prepared with the right shoes or be okay with sand in your shoes or going barefoot. There were a few mosquitos here and there but I wouldn't say unbearable. If you kept moving, you were fine. Might be a different story if you were here birdwatching and stayed in one spot for awhile. There were also a ton a little fiddler crabs i think. Kids had fun watching them scurry away as we walked by. It was very photogenic and picturesque especially cause we only ran into 3 or 4 groups the entire time we were there and it was a weekend. Overall a great place to take a walk. If we lived nearby we would probably have a membership here. If you're just visiting, it's a great way to spend maybe half a day. We only had about an hour total so we couldn't explore much more unfortunately. I bet sunset here would've been amazing.
David L — Google review
Very accessible for different age groups and scenic trails. Visitor center has wonderful creatures in aquariums and helpful staff. The day we went in October it was quite windy and cold by the water’s edge but we still enjoyed our walks. No dogs allowed as it is a bird sanctuary but at the time of day we went we saw almost no birds. We expected to see at a minimum sea birds and ducks but we did not.
Jennifer L — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous place! A variety of trails will take you past salt marshes, a bay-side beach, and coastalpine forest. They have a wonderful Discovery center for all ages, a lovely pollinator garden, and a well stocked gift shop. A fun "bonus" is watching the Fiddler Crabs scurry about along the Boardwalk trail... Be mindful of High Tide because the boardwalk goes under water.

Marconi Wireless Station, located in Wellfleet, is a historic site dating back to the early 1900s. It holds the distinction of being the first location in the United States to facilitate communication across the Atlantic Ocean to Europe. While there may not be an abundance of attractions on-site, its historical significance makes it a worthwhile visit for history enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks and ocean views while learning about Marconi and local environmental features through informative signage along walkways and viewing areas.
Another beautiful spot in Cape Cod! It happens to be the first wireless station and thew breathtaking views of the sea is beautiful! You can walk around but since its all on a cliff and is prone to falling off anytime, be careful! There are some plants that are poisonous too! So don’t touch them! But its great viewpoint for great pictures

Bathrooms are available just off the parking lot. There is only parking for about 30 cars so I'm sure it can be hard to find parking during the summer season.

Nestled within Cape Cod National Seashore, the Atlantic White Cedar Swamp Trail provides a serene escape from the coastal scenery. The trail winds through shaded pine and oak forests, featuring a rare grove of endangered Atlantic white cedars. A wooden boardwalk allows visitors to explore the swamp ecosystem, attracting birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts due to its diverse bird population. The trail offers a peaceful retreat in fall, sheltered from wind with sunlight filtering through the enchanting swamp.
Fun little trail, nothing too challenging but not wheelchair accessible, at least that I saw. Good for killing an hour or two. The boardwalk is rather enchanting, its a quiet peaceful walk with some seats to sit and relax. It’s also FREE!

It’s a nice short walk with a lot of shaded area. However, the map is too inaccurate! From the map, it looks like it’s easy to follow but we got lost 2 times. From the map, it looks like before you get to the little circle, there are two roads ahead. But there are three roads. What’s worse is that there’s no sign at that area to tell you where to go along the trail (the only sign they have is useless). So we got lost 2 times. Eventually, we had to use google map to know we got lost for the first time and we were lucky to ask the local to guide us to get out for the second time. From the entrance, the left road has a bit up and down hills and the right road is mostly flat.

Super Lovely place to bring children for a walk. Shady and cooler on a hot summer day, except for the last leg which is a more sandy path and uphill. I carried my 30 lb son in that part and was huffing it!

This is one of my favorite places to reconnect with nature in the Fall. On windy days it's protected from the wind and sunlight filters through the swamp in an enchanting way. Siting peacefully on one of the benches under the overhanging trees you can hear the forest around you echoing and you can smell the swamp as the leaves gather around you, it's easy to lose time if you allow it to go. For those having trouble locating the trail it's located in the Marconi overlook parking lot just off Rt.6.

Cahoon Hollow Beach in Wellfleet, Massachusetts is a lively and popular destination with a buzzing bar on the oceanfront bluff. It is home to the Beachcomber bar and restaurant, making it a hotspot for beachgoers. The wide sandy beach offers amenities such as lifeguards, restrooms, attendants on duty, and scattered volleyball nets.
Beautiful beach. It's worth the haul back up the dune. Get there before 9 for the most convenient parking. Plenty of additional parking across the street. It is $30/day parking, which is standard for a lot of Cape Cod parks. However, they give you a coupon for $30 off purchases in food or gift shop. I was going to do it for convenience. They were slammed, so I wasn't sure about the quality, but everything was outstanding. Big, crispy filet of flaky haddock, homemade sides like coleslaw, 1&1/2lbs steamers, piping hot. It was a great deal. Super busy-packed with a wait from 11:30 on. If tight crowds aren't your thing, this may not be your place, but I found a bar seat early, and everything was great. I don't know how the bartenders held it together, but the service wasn't lacking there either. Empties/trash were cleared by whatever staff walked by, friendly staff, but feverishly busy. Everyone's different, but I tipped at the full meal cost (not the price after coupon). Easy ride in, perfect place for a full, relaxing day trip.

What a wonderful beach with Beachcomber Restaurant in front. We bought drinks and went to take them down to where we'd be sitting but found out we could not leave the bar with them. That was a bummer. But the day was wonderful, tides were great for boarding and swimming. Long walk down the side of the cliffs to the shore, so might be tough for some. Take your time, and enjoy it if you can. Steep walk back, but again, worth the effort to spend a few hours on Cape Cod shores. Loved it!

I have summered on the Cape since birth. Born in Wareham, then started out in Falmouth(Johnson Street) then headed out to Harwichport due to my growing family. This beach has always been the pinnacle of any summer event or experience. Great for the family, young adults, older adults, etc, you get the picture. My all time favorite beach with some of the best memories of my life and I'm sure there will be many more. This place gets pretty crowded in the summer, so if you know about the Cape's best beach to go too then please, I beg you, keep it on the down low, lol, if you know what I mean and concur, thanks, if not why not bring your entire highschool class, I'm sure we can fit you all in. Besides the crowds that can get very heavy in summer, it's important to keep track of your favorite tide and show up accordingly. Due to the Beachcomber(a bar, restaurant and concert venue) possessing a grandfather clause which allows them to exist at the top of the hill and charge for parking but I am not complaining, good for them I say, I digress. The Beachcomber provides the second best reason this place rocks. Food, booze, music and plenty of people all milling about, everyone living the good beach bum life. If the parking lot is full just head down to White Crest. It's basically the same beach and you can make your way down to the crowds and Beachcomber from there too while enjoying a robust and scenic walk. Mandatory R.I.P. transport funk bus. All in all this place is just... 🤐😶. See you on the 🏖️🌊🐚🩴🌞😎

It’s a freezing cold day and we stopped to see the fishing boat that was beached. Thankfully that’s going well. It’s devastating to see all the dune damage from storms and wind. It’s really sad to see. According to some locals there’s significant damage from the weather. Plow trucks were needed to push off the lot. I definitely want to come back in the summer.

Awesome beach as usual for the national seashore. Small parking lot. But beach was huge and had nice cliffs(bluffs) to look at. And lots of wildlife to look out for. Hidden gem of the Cape. Lowkey want to gatekeep this hike. Absolutely magical and peaceful land. Otherworldly in the best possible way.

One of the finest places to experience wild Cape Cod. You can lounge on bayside beaches, stroll through the gentle hills of the interior to lose yourself in pitch pine and rolling tufts of lichen, or time your hike to the tides to make it all the way out to the barnacled shingle of Jeremy Point, with only seals and seagulls for company. One of the Cape's true hidden gems.

Gull Pond is a charming and scenic body of water that offers various recreational activities such as swimming, canoeing, and kayaking. It is located near two smaller ponds behind it, which are shallower in depth. Although the beach area at Gull Pond is limited in size, its popularity results in a higher number of visitors. To secure a prime spot, it is advisable to arrive early. Additionally, Gull Pond boasts excellent trails and stunning views.
Excellent trails and beautiful views. Trout fishing was spectacular.

Pretty, like all the kettle ponds on the outer Cape. The highlight, if you bring a boat or the determination to walk all the way around, is the narrow channel connecting Gull Pond to Higgins Pond all the way across from the beach. There is also a small beach at the intersection (called the Sluiceway), though driving to it directly requires maneuvering some rough, thin dirt roads.

This was a childhood home (the ranger house on Aunt Sally’s), temporarily, during the early 70’s. The pond was a beautiful retreat. My mother would row us across the pond to take swimming lessons on cool summer mornings. So many good memories. One day I would love to return.

French restaurant
PB Boulangerie Bistro is a popular venue that combines a bakery and bistro, attracting crowds with its classic pastries and hearty French dishes. The bustling establishment is known for its renowned croissants, which often sell out quickly in the mornings. Owned by French-born chef Philippe Rispoli, who has trained under esteemed chefs, the bistro offers a menu that competes with top restaurants in the region.
This is a must stop during a visit to the Cape for any Francophone or food lover alike. Baguettes, croissants, sandwiches, pastries, cheeses, jams, and other French food. The line may be long but it’s totally worth it! We’ve been visiting pretty much every year since they opened. A small pocket of France in Wellfleet.
Max K — Google review
We came here based on a friend’s recommendation, but nothing really blew us away. The complimentary tomato bisque was great — fresh, with nice flavors of cream, onion, and garlic. We also had the baguette, éclair, mille-feuille, strawberry tartare, and coffee. The cream in the mille-feuille was delicious, but the éclair was very average, as was the tartare. Coffee was just coffee. We visited on a Saturday around noon and had to wait in line for about 15 minutes. Not sure if it was worth the wait. Probably won’t be coming back anytime soon.
Gabbie K — Google review
Stopped in to check this french bistro. There was an organized line to get inside and order. Indoor and outdoor seating. Aesthetically the bistro was interesting. Once inside it was a bit cramped and I felt a little pressure that I had to order quickly. We ordered a few sandwiches and pastry. The sandwiches on display are about twice the size of the actual sandwich you receive. The food was good and was of good quality. We also ordered two espressos, which were terrible. By far the worst I've ever tasted. I'm not sure if maybe they had a bad batch or whatnot. I would go back, but I would be in a rush. The pastry is what I would go back for.
T.J. S — Google review
Everything you could want in an American French Café. Went for lunch and there was a plentiful selection of both breakfast pastries and lunch items (e.g. pizza). Coffee was exceptional, as well as the danish and pizza. Cramped inside gives an authentic feel, but plenty of beautiful outdoor seating and decoration. The french wording, Eiffel Tower model, and kind customer service really decorate this place well. 10/10 would recommend.
Jack S — Google review
The pastries were amazing! The sandwiches were delicious on the best french bread I've had, so crunchy. The seating was really nice, good options of indoor and outdoor, with plenty of shade. I got an almond croissant, it was very flakey and filled with marzipan. Everyone I was with loved it, this place knocked it out of the park! I would definitely go back.
Fae H — Google review
We were so excited to visit PB Boulangerie in the summer of 2023 for some authentic French treats. Coming from Boston and being a pastry chef myself I expected It to be good but not to be blown away. I was wrong! Every pastry was better than the last. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was wonderful. We came in for breakfast and immediately made a dinner reservation for my partners daughters 21st birthday later that week. I had the steak frites and it was phenomenal, followed by the raspberry tart that I still think about. The server was amazing and the restaurant was warm and inviting. Fast forward to this summer, July 2025, PBB was of course one of our first stops on our Cape vacation. We got the strawberry danish, apple turnover, pear tart and raspberry macaron. All were AMAZING! The Danish and turnover were perhaps two of the best breakfast pastries I have ever had. This time we did feel a bit rushed. We came right as they opened and the staff was clearly trying to keep the line moving which we totally understood. We probably would have spent a good walk more time and money if we hadn’t felt so rushed but my waistline didn’t need it :) and it gave us a reason to come back another day! We went back this morning, we got in line around 6:45 and were third to enter. We did not feel rushed at all this time and were able to look more thoroughly. My boyfriend got the ham and cheese croissant and both he and our dog LOVED it! It was warm and flaky, the ham was salty and crisp, it was really perfect. I came back for the Canelles and they did not disappoint! They were crispy and sweet on the outside, and custardy and moist inside. You could taste the rum just enough, they were as close to perfect as I have had. As someone who works in the industry, I absolutely love what they have done here. It’s like a little bit of France in Massachusetts. I enjoyed it so much that the first time we came in I reached out to see if I could stage while we were visiting! Unfortunately our schedules didn’t align but maybe someday! We were so sad that the restaurant wasn’t open this summer, it is clear that staffing issues have taken a toll. Hopefully they can reopen soon because it is really a special experience to dine with them. You can feel the love that is put into everything they do. Keep up the great work!
Tricia D — Google review
I arrived at 10:30am and started in the “express line” only to quickly realize I wanted the other line that allowed for visual access to all the beautiful and enticing pastries and cheeses! Yes, one of these and one of those until nearly 1 C-note later. Happy they offer some GF pastries. The GF raspberry tart received 2 thumbs up from our friend. We haven’t tried the aged sharp cheddar cheese yet. See pics for the some of treats I picked up. An eclair filled with a lovely chocolate mousse (it was not custard nor whipped cream), 2 raspberry tarts (1-nonGF, 1GF), an apricot danish (my favorite), a croissant, a chocolate croissant, a chocolate eventail, a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie, a baguette, & an iced coffee. I will return to this bakery every time I’m in the area. The decorative atmosphere (indoor and outdoor seating) and service were lovely.
Dennise D — Google review
Surpasses the hype! Yes there’s a line (with good reason) but it moves fast and everyone is so pleasant and happy about what they’re about to be feasting on. In my experience it was like a happy, gushing over our love of good bread and pastries support group! And the people behind the counter were also kind and enthusiastic! But truly the pastries and bread (as well as the soup — I got the butternut squash!) is outstanding! Some of the best I have had in a long time. Worthy of a pilgrimage. I’m already dreaming of my return trip.

I stayed at a B&B years ago and was sent here by the host. I try to eat here every time I visit the Cape. The newly renovated outdoor setting is a major plus! Relaxing view of the inlet. The oysters are on the small side but very flavorful and fresh. I had the fried cod sandwich too, a New England favorite of mine. This was possibly the best I've ever had. Absurdly fresh and perfect fries too.

No reservations but they have a large outdoor waiting area that is bar accessible. Arrived at 510 and had to wait about 35 minutes. The food was phenomenal. The ahi crusted tuna was delicious and spicy. We loved the spotlight roll. The dipping sauces for the oysters were tasty.

My wife and I agree that our meals today were some of the best we’ve ever had (Bluefish baked with ritz cracker covering and mashed potatoes and creamy spinach with truffle oil). Our companions had crunchy crab sushi and fried oysters - excellent. Dessert was key lime pie. Perfect. Our waitperson, Miss Emma, was attentive and gracious. Sitting in the outdoor/covered patio area on this beautiful autumn day overlooking the marsh was just relaxing and lovely. A rare, memorable experience when all the pieces come together like that. Well done, Mac’s Shack.
Rob B — Google review
Mac’s Shack is a great spot for fresh seafood and a relaxed coastal vibe. The oysters were excellent- fresh, briny, and perfectly chilled. Shrimp and fish dishes were flavorful, and the fish and chips were crispy and satisfying. The fish tacos were served deconstructed, with the fish in its own dish and sides of guacamole, pico de gallo, pickled onions, and chopped onions in some delicious vinegar mix. You assemble the tacos yourself, which was fun, though the tortillas stuck together a bit. The only miss was the truffle fries—too oily—but the staff handled it graciously and took them off the check, which I really appreciated. I also tried the key lime pie to go; the flavor was nice, but the texture was too wet for my taste. Overall, great seafood, friendly service, and a spot I’d return to for the oysters and fish dishes alone.

10/10, great food, excellent service. We had a server who was on her second day but we wouldn't have noticed had she not told us. To me this comes down to solid training and good management. Looking forward to making this a staple for my wife and I on future trips to the Cape.

Sandwiches were ok but leave you wanting. I know rolled sandwiches are their thing but they had stacks of halved pita rounds so when you get your sandwich, the pita is a bit dry from sitting out. It would be nice to have other bread options, even a whole grain pita would be a good step. Would not recommend the clam chowder. Not a good rendition.

Horrible portions only go there if you want to leave hungry. I ordered the Owen special and it has a very small portion of roast beef.
Owen S — Google review
The food was just ok and wasn't very memorable. It seems their claim to fame is "rolled sandwhiches". Not sure how novel that concept is but to each their own since the sandwhich was pretty much a burrito but smaller. The parking lot is very small as well so I can see chaos on a busy day. Service was also ok nothing spectacular. I wouldn't come back again.

Macs Market & Kitchen in Eastham is a popular upscale American seafood restaurant and bar, known for its fresh and locally sourced dishes. It's a great spot for a family dinner or to catch a game with friends at the bar. Hikers often visit after an evening run to refuel, appreciating the delicious food, friendly service, and scenic views from the restaurant's windows. In addition to dining in, customers can also purchase raw fresh seafood from the market on-site.
I had such an insanely good experience at Mac’s Market and Kitchen all thanks to AJ, one of the employees there! We ordered the lobster roll, chowder, and a steamed lobster (only $11.99/ pound)! The market let us know that the steamed lobster would be a to-go order, so I was just expecting it in a bag, but AJ went above and beyond since he knew we would be eating outside, he even cracked the claw shells and tail for me! It was so nice of him, and the lobster quality was phenomenal! Lobster is my favorite food, and I can say it was perfectly cooked! Would 100% recommend going to Mac’s for the delicious chowder and lobster and amazing service!

Good food. The grilled shrimp was delicious. Part of our order was forgotten and it took the whole time the rest of the group ate to get the missing food so that was a bummer. It was nice to sit outside at picnic tables.

!!!RAW CHICKEN!!! alert. Went on 4/21/2025 with my family. We are Eastham locals and it pains me to write this review. We ordered some fish tacos, a beer, and the chicken tenders for my 4 year old. The first issue was when I asked for a cup of water they refused. I was told I must buy a bottle of water for $2. Shady but ok. Then came the wait. After 30 minutes the tenders came out (tacos not prepared yet) and wow are we happy we broke them in half. Had my son eaten one….yeah…use your imagination. The staff refunded our meal and gave a nonchalant, mostly tepid apology. One staff member ducked out in shame. Couldn’t blame him. Thankfully, we drove down the street to The Knack and got some fully cooked (homemade) tenders and tacos. I would be very careful eating at Mac’s or even buying their fish to go. I think the health department should make a visit in the near future before someone gets salmonella.
Matthew E — Google review
The food was pretty good. I had fish and chips and also some calamari. Both were good but the calamari seemed a bit moist and not crispy. That could have been from being in a takeout container though. The fish was a little dry but still nicely breaded. Fries were good. Service for takeout was good and prices were on higher end for what I received
Sam L — Google review
I should say this is a great place to get seafood, but little over budget. Lobster roll is really nice, I love the raw bar as well, oysters are nice! The fried calamari tastes great with ketchup. I don’t like the clam chowder there, it’s not creamy at all. But poke bowl with salmon tastes great! We seat outdoor to eat.
Grace F — Google review
I loved this place! It was delicious and so comforting to go to a seafood restaurant where everything on the menu was celiac safe. I tried the fried shrimp and scallops, the fish tacos, and the clam chowder. The tacos were my favorite, but the fried seafood and fries were also good
Andrea L — Google review
Our first night in town, stopped here for an assortment of fried clams. The fried clams by the time we arrived back our rental 3 minutes away already had grease soaked through the container and was leaking out of the bag. Placing the container on the table allowed the oil to pool on the table. The large order of clam strip yielded about 6 to 8 pieces 2 inches or larger. The rest were about 1/2” pieces with a heavy taste of burnt oil. The whole belly were about the same, all were slightly larger than a quarter. The bill was $220.00 and two full boxes (half our order) was thrown out as they were an inedible crumbling mess of burnt tasting cooking oil. Absolutely nothing in this order tasted like a fried clam we craved during our 8 hour ride here. We chose the place because of the high reviews, but our order was nothing like we expected or paid for. Do yourself a favor and don’t even try this place or waste your money on this poorly cooked seafood. Food pickup was interesting too. We called the order in, traveled the 3 minutes and arrived while it was still being cooked as we could see the chef. We waited in line inside and when I asked for the order, the woman stated you need to go outside to the window. Nobody was outside in line, the window was closed and we were 6 feet away from the woman working the window with our food right in front of us. So we walked outside, asked for our food and the woman picked up the bag that was six feet in front of us when we were inside and handed it to us. I could see if the place was busy and we needed to wait our turn in line, but there was no line…

If you're anywhere near Eastham and are looking for quality fresh fish from a friendly knowledgeable staff, Mac's is where you want to go! We have been shopping here for several years and have never been disappointed. We've purchased chowder (maybe the best I've ever tasted), cod, lobster, swordfish, dozens of raw oysters, clams and all tasted like it must have come out of the water that morning. They also have a menu of prepared food you can enjoy at picnic tables in the shade next to their building. We have been spending at least two weeks on The Cape for the last 18 years and Mac's has become one of the highlights of our annual visit. Highly recommend!!

The Wellfleet Flea Market is a must-visit outdoor bazaar located at the Wellfleet Drive-in Theatre. With around 200 vendors offering a diverse range of items, from vintage pottery to 19th-century doorknobs, visitors can find unique treasures and bargains. The market operates on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays with a small parking fee.
A small flea market, best on the weekends. There are the regulars around but sometimes there are gems that pop up and you happen on some treasures for inexpensive. Everything from nick knacks to tools. Books to bracelets. Sunglasses to shirts. Paintings to pottery. Something for everything, a place to visit on down time or mornings.

I called ahead because I was worried if I went on a Thursday there wouldn’t be as many vendors- but I was assured there was just as many vendors everyday but to call ahead bc they’re very weather dependent. I called the morning before I left (85 degrees out, cloudy, no chance of rain) to confirm that they were open and had a good amount of vendors that day. I showed up an hour and a half later and there was only 7 tents set up with several of them selling SHEIN and temu items. I asked as I was leaving about the lack of vendors and was told it’s always less crowded on Thursdays and it’s too hot so everyone left. Wish they had told me that when I called before I made the drive down.

Mostly a lot of overpriced well used items. Some art, some jewelry. Oddly enough a massage chair, in use no less.

Nature & Parks
Nestled along Chequessett Neck, Powers Landing Beach is a charming little gem that beckons visitors with its inviting sands and warm waters. While it may be smaller than some of its neighboring beaches, this spot is beloved by locals and travelers alike for swimming and leisurely strolls. The beach offers a serene atmosphere, especially during high tide when the water feels pleasantly warm—almost like a soothing bath!
Small entrance with a limited parking in Wellfleet, MA. To park you need a town sticker and a proof of residence. However, it is within a short bike ride from the town pier where parking is free. The beach itself is all sand and since it is a bay side the water is much warmer than on the ocean side. Hardly any sand flies and likely no sharks
Bruce S — Google review
Wonderful beach. Parking can be limited during high season. Porta Pot on site. Small sand launch on location.
Matthew T — Google review
Powers landing is a good bayside beach. No seeums was out and we didnt have the bug spray so we didnt sfay long.
Zachary Z — Google review
Great little beach, best when tide is coming in. Low tide sand can be kind of soft and mucky, but you can walk way out and only be up to your ankles. Wellfleet harbor side so water is warm.
John D — Google review
I love this tiny beach. At high tide the water is as warm as a bath. Not much room as it’s surrounded by private beach on either side, but it’s wonderful for a swim.
Katharine H — Google review
Lovely, private beach. Nice for walking, and at low tide, watching the oyster farmers tend their amazing Wellfleet oysters.

Boat rental service
Jack's Boat Rental offers an awesome experience with excellent, friendly, and flexible service. The owner delivers kayaks and provides everything needed for a safe day on the water at very reasonable prices. Customers have been impressed by the stability and ease of use of the kayaks, as well as the cleanliness and great condition of all rental equipment. The owner is knowledgeable about the area and willing to assist in determining the best locations for putting in.
Very happy with our 3-day rental. So glad I did it this way. I've only gone and rented one day at a time for a few hours. Mike dropped the kayaks off and picked up right on time, as scheduled. It was so nice to be able to hop on when we wanted and have some amazing morning and evening paddles.
Stella G — Google review
Perfect rental for two weeks. Kayak was delivered on time and picked up. Plus Mike, the owner, brought a tandem kayak to paddle my partner who is not as mobile now. Just a really nice guy. Beautiful kayaking at Pleasant Point at my leisure. Will do this again every visit.
Jill T — Google review
Great service. Mike was very helpful and knowledgeable. We rented a sunfish for three days for a family spot on great pond. They delivered the boat on time and helped get us underway. We had it for 3 days (buy two days get the third free) and made the most of it. We had wonderful weather and the BEST time sailing together. They were on time and very accommodating. Would recommend and will continue to recommend. This is our second rental and won’t be our last!
Nicolaas L — Google review
I've been using Jack's since Jack still owned it! I've always had great service and it continues on with the new owner. My family vacations in Ptown every summer and they all know that for 3 days, they'll find me sailing in the bay every high tide. If you're looking for dependable watercraft, look no further.
Jim A — Google review
Amazing service! I called in the morning and received a sunfish delivered the same afternoon. And due to a mix up at our rental place we had to return earlier than planned and they organized a new pickup and refunded us for the unused days. Really amazing customer service, great communication all around! We will rent here again!
Robert H — Google review
Friendly, convenient, accessible. Loved that they were able to deliver my SUP and have it at the beach within 10 mins of me calling it in (and came to pick it back up)!
Jessica R — Google review
This place is awesome. Not only does he deliver The kayaks. He also brings everything you need to have a safe day on the water. Also, the pricing is very reasonable. The owner even delivered well outside of his advertised delivery area to bring me a fishing kayak. As an experienced kayak angler I was more than impressed with the stability of the kayak. I was able to stand and fish with ease. And although the kayak was over 12 ft long. It was very light and easy to load on and off my truck. I wanted a chance to fish for some of the big large mouth bass that fill most of the fresh water ponds on Cape Cod. I was not disappointed. Thanks Jacks Boat Rental we'll definitely see you next yr.

Festival
The Wellfleet OysterFest is an annual celebration and festival held in Cape Cod during the fall. It features a thrilling shucking competition where some of the world's best shuckers compete to open two dozen oysters in less than two minutes. The event also includes numerous craft vendors, a beer and food tent, and of course, plenty of delicious oysters to try. Visitors can enjoy live music, educational vendors, and a variety of food and beverages.
First of many times enjoying the festival. What an amazing experience! From the efficient shuttle rides to the wonderful vendors... everyone was so friendly. The oysters were delicious, the beers were cold and the entertainment amazing! I can't wait for the results of the shucking contest!
Melanie D — Google review
The fest seemed packed to the point of being dangerous. The organizers either oversold the event or mismanaged the crowd. At times we were completely stuck and unable to move for minutes a time. Adding a star because the vendors, food, and events all looked great, they were just barely accessible or behind massive lines. We won't be returning next year.
Ven L — Google review
A wonderful way to enjoy Wellfleet and it's rich oyster farming tradition. Sample oysters from many different local growers and be amazed at the subtle variations in flavor. Enjoy good music, fantastic food, local vendors, and a shucking contest.
Charles B — Google review
Used to be great. Very expensive probably to.limit people.its better now that it's back on main street. It was meant to be a festival for oyster farmers to sell their product and charities and small business to make money. The high ticket prices limit the ability for both to make more revenue. It's $33 this year
Wayne C — Google review
Great time, great food, great people and amazing oysters... What else can you ask for. It rained and we all still had a great time. Look out for chowder fries!!
Daniel P — Google review
I have been attending the fabulous Welfleet Oyster Festival for nearly 10 years. The oysters are truly the best in the World! There are creative craftmens/vendors sharing their works. Initially, I paid $2 to attend, then jumped to $5... now the entry fee is $10! Welfleet residence attend free. Not sure why paying a fee of $10 is reasonable... you still need to pay for everything from drinks, food and items.
Jane C — Google review

My experience is not exactly with Sick Day Surf but with Justin. Today my wife and I were biking on the cape cod rail trail. My tire went flat and things were looking very dire. Enter Justin who offered to drive my wife and I to a repair shop. Not only did he do that he waited to be sure that we were all taken care of. Most people may not care and leave us to figure things out ourselves. Justin went above and beyond and just restored our faith in people. So why write this? If this organization has people like Justin then I endorse it and him. Thank you Justin you made what could have been a tough situation into a much much better one. - Kim and Eric

Abiyoyo is a charming toy store located on Main Street in Wellfleet Center, offering a delightful array of toys, games, and apparel for both kids and adults. The store has gained popularity among families visiting the outer cape due to its diverse selection of clothing, games, children's toys, and more. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff who are attentive and helpful. The store's well-organized layout showcases quality items at reasonable prices.
First time I have ever written a review for any store, but I want to share about this gem! They have lots of interesting and creative toys for kids - my kids were so excited by the choices. But what makes a toy store lovely is the people who work there. Everyone was kind and helpful during our visit. Then shortly after we left, my young child hurt herself on a railing (not part of Abiyoyo). As I tried to figure out what to do with a bleeding child, I walked back into the store for some tissues. The team rushed to help, brought out a first aid kit to clean the cut and put on a proper bandage, and even gave her and my other child each a ball to cheer them up. It was such a generous act that underscored the character of the place.
Carrie B — Google review
This is a great store with a really nice selection of toys and art supplies in the back and clothing in the front. We end up going here multiple times each time we visit Wellfleet.
Ed L — Google review
Great store for all different kinds of people! Toys for kids, toys for adults, shirts and sweatshirts for all ages, interesting accessories, and all good quality and reasonably priced. I hadn't been inside in a few years and was happy to see more space and a new design. Items are arranged nicely and they're was obviously a lot of care put into selecting the inventory. Staff is very friendly and helpful... glad the new owners are continuing this Wellfleet tradition!

We’ve been visiting the outer cape for many years and always make time to stop into Abiyoyo during our walks around Welfleet center with our kids. They have a wonderful selection of clothing, games, children’s toys and more. But more importantly, the owner is a great person who cares about his customers, which is reflected in all of the folks working at the shop. The only problem we run into is getting our children to leave the store without a trunk full of stuff.
Michael D — Google review
Abiyoyo curates an amazing collection of toys, games, and apparel, mostly for kids but also for big kids (adults). Now in my 30s I went there as a kid and find myself there once again shopping for my wonderful nephew. Even my brother-in-law’s family has history with Abiyoyo and continues to think of it fondly.

Duck Pond is one of the many freshwater ponds in the area, offering a serene environment for activities like swimming, canoeing, and kayaking. It has a fascinating history as it was formed from a glacier and is self-sustaining. The water is crystal clear, making it perfect for a refreshing swim. Although parking can be limited and finding the location may be challenging, the effort is worth it once you reach this hidden gem.
A place so rare, hard to leave. Unfortunately easily crowded July/August so best to experience in June and September.
Vlado K — Google review
Used to come here as a kid. My dad used to go as a kid as well. It was so clear you could see the "man at the bottom of the pond." He went down with scuba gear maybe 12 years ago and it was still there.
Ariel C — Google review
A great kettle pond on the lower Cape! Sandy beach,1 lonely cabin on the shore, clear and refreshing. Parking very limited and not easy to find. Need a town sticker for your car, and no dogs even on leash, which is a plus for non-dog owners, but a bit of a bummer if you have one, especially on vacation. Short walk from parking, worth the effort.
Howie M — Google review
Not as popular as some of the other kettle ponds — perfectly fine if you enjoy a quieter, family-friendly scene. It's less of a "sandy beach" spot for digging and hanging out on the sand than it is for enjoying the water: floating, paddleboarding, swimming, playing "water frisbee," watching tadpoles dart underwater. The small "beach" can feel crowded if there are more than four families on the sand. The sand itself is not the most comfortable to sit on, so a light-weight beach chair might be a good idea. I saw one portable toilet at the top of the stairs where the parking lot is. Parking by permit only, with 12 spots clearly marked/signed.
June W — Google review
Duck Pond used to be a secret, but the cat’s out of the bag now. Despite being more crowded than before, it’s a beautifully peaceful place, even though it’s hard to get to. (I don’t have to tell you how to get there, so maybe it’ll stay a bit of a secret.)
Jake F — Google review
Very nice 💯 hard to find not easy to get to very pristine and relaxing very quiet and undisturbed
Graham B — Google review
This pond is a beautiful swimming hole. You need a resident permit I think because I got a parking ticket. The road to pond is rocky and rutty and parking is sparce. No ducks. History of pond is interesting. It was formed from a glacier and is naturally self sustaining...nature in it's rarest form. Therefore, please be sure not to use lotions, hair products etc. There are signs that say this. THE WATER IS CRYSTAL CLEAR.

We rented a tandem bicycle for the day and everything was great! It was a treat not to schlep our own bikes to the Cape, and they delivered it right to our campground. Communication was easy, and they were very responsive. Very reasonably priced too. Would definitely rent from them again!

T C — Google review
I think we may have just had the perfect storm of unfortunate circumstances. Online reservation worked okay, but with one store closed on the desired pick up day (weds) and another closed for renovations, we had to pick up at Wellfleet. Fine. Wednesday morning 9:00 am rolls around, and after a call to confirm, we find out our bikes have to be delivered from the closed Orleans location. They can't be delivered until 10 because another customer is doing a pickup there even though they were closed. Fine. Jake was very helpful and responsive on the phone when we were working on the best options. We see our bikes rolling into wellfleet at about 10:30. Great. We get back to our house, and find out my bike has been equipped with incompatible clipless pedals (look instead of shimano, if anyone cares). Someone from the shop comes out about 15 minutes later to fix the pedals- again, great service, but we wish it wasn't necessary. Finally, around noon we are on our way for our 60 mile ride. Bikes are in okay shape, though the brakes left plenty to be desired. Shifters worked great. Our ride was lovely, and drop off the following day was great. One of the bikes had a slow leak in the front tire, which was fine since we had hand pumps and spares that came with the rental. All in all the service was so nice and helpful, just a series of unfortunate events.
Laurie N — Google review
Really disappointed with our rental and the owner’s response. The electric feature on my bike was not working. The kid at the shop said it would turn on once I got going. It never did and we returned the bike earlier for this reason. Two- the bike trail is not as accessible as advertised (Wellfleet location). You need to bike on some pretty busy streets for about 15 minutes to get to trail. Not family friendly or kid safe. Will be going elsewhere next year.

Mayo beach is a little of a hissy jem. First of all, the parking is Free! It also is a great beach for families and those fending off waves. It has a very shallow entrance at low tide so it's perfect for kids playing in the water. Given it is not a beach with a lifeguard on duty, there are some advantages. One can fly a kite, use inflatables and other water crafts. There are portapodies right across the street from parking lot next to the playground. Also a walk away you will find several restaurants.

Calm, peaceful with beautiful views. Perfect for a short trip to beach. Close to town and pier. You could walk to Mac's on the pier and get a great lunch. Perfect for families with young children. Room to play, watch boats. Not for you if you are looking for big waves.
