The Basilica dei Santi Silvestro e Martino ai Monti is a historic Catholic church that dates back to the 3rd century. It boasts a beautiful 17th-century facade and stunning religious frescoes and artwork. The church has three levels, with the basement dating back to ancient Roman times, and provides visitors with an opportunity to experience the rich history of Rome over the centuries.
If the spectacular interior weren't enough, there are vast underground interiors whose entrance is found under the main altar - as well as a sweet, improvised exhibition of Nativity Scenes from many countries. But the Oscar definitely goes to the "albino" spiders on the spotlight in the lowest subterranean level - something I had never seen before! Ethereal music does the rest.
HERM P — Google review
One of the most peaceful churches in Rome. It’s really old, dates back to the 4th century. I sometimes bring my clients here for photos if we’re nearby, especially in the morning when it’s quiet. The front of the church has this beautiful, old Roman feel that looks great in photos. It’s not crowded, the light is soft, and the whole place feels calm. Perfect for simple, natural shots with a bit of history in the background.
Mojtaba R — Google review
Beautiful as all the big ancient churches are here. The unique feature at this one is that you can see where they lowered the floor and added to the bottom of the columns, and you are allowed to go down more than three levels to the original street level from over a thousand years ago.
Perry W — Google review
Basilica dei Santi Silvestro e Martino ai Monti is a very unique church steeped in history. The church itself is very detailed and intricate, but I really enjoyed the underground area which dates back to the 3rd century and can be explored. It was originally a house and the church was built over that house. It’s very interesting to explore the underground tunnels and rooms. There are a few faded frescos on the underground walls. The shell of the church itself was from the 9th century, but it was remodeled in the 17th century. Even though the major basilicas get way more attention, I really enjoyed exploring this gem.
Frenite — Google review
The basilica was founded by Pope Sylvester I on a site donated by one Equitius (hence the name of Titulus Equitii) in the 4th century. At the beginning it was an oratory devoted to all the martyrs. The interior has a nave and two aisles, divided by ancient columns. A votive lamp, made in silver sheet and housed in the sacristy, was believed to be St. Sylvester's tiara. Under the major altar are preserved the relics of Saints Artemius, Paulina and Sisinnius, brought here from the Catacomb of Priscilla. A mosaic portraying Madonna with St Sylvester is from the 6th century.
Misiu M — Google review
Not only was the church itself interesting, but the underground Roman structure added to the experience of this place. It mostly feels like an ancient Roman home and a little place of worship (either during the Roman times or converted later, not sure). You really feel history all around you when visiting - highly recommend!

The Cattedrale di San Cetteo, dedicated to St. Cetteus, was constructed in the 1930s on the site of the Romanesque Church of Holy Jerusalem. The cathedral was strongly supported by Gabriele d'Annunzio and designed by architect Cesare Bazzani. Inside, visitors can admire a painting by Guercino depicting Saint Francis, donated by D'Annunzio himself.

The Chiesa del Cuore Immacolato di Maria, commonly known as the Catholic Church, is a revered place of worship for believers. It provides a sacred environment for those who have faith in its teachings and traditions. However, it may not hold the same significance for non-believers. What's going on? Is the virus only in the church? Or maybe it's just everywhere, only the most obedient in the church. We didn't notice that he has been and will be with us for a long time. (Translated by Google) I personally met the parish priests and all the staff who work in an extraordinary way for the good of the community in the parish... I came to know this wonderful reality when I was looking for a place where we, the family members who were accompanying my husband for the therapies to be done at the PE hospital in the hematology department. We, who from Isola del Gran Sasso Te. from two years ago in full dawn look. Through the Oasi Betania Association, which is made up of an extraordinary staff that operates with an efficient and loving service that I will never forget. To subsequently reciprocate the help and welcome I received, I wanted to create an artistic workshop in the parish with the special children of San Giovanni and San Benedetto. Together we created some hand-painted masks and with the soap made in the place the fantastic children have made the bars of soap which, together with the masks, were then sold at the charity exhibition set up for Christmas. I would be immensely pleased to be able to leave a memory of mine that will last forever... by creating a mural on the walls of one of the walls in the square of the Parish. I put myself at your disposal whenever you want... I thank the legendary and tireless Anna who welcomed us, and the hardworking Morena who works with her parishioners through Divine Providence. Through his work I have been able to see that Divine Providence really exists... it always arrives at the right time. It was truly a pleasure to meet you... And as Anna and Morena say, may the Lord bless you. Amelia Lucci. Madonna del Fuoco is a modern circular church with a clean and welcoming atmosphere. It features an adjacent old church that houses the ancient statue of Madonna with the child in her arms and a flame in her other hand, dating back to the 1600s. The Church of Saint Nunzio Sulprizio the Worker is a unique and characteristic church with intricately carved wooden furniture, reflecting the vision of its founder, Don Lino. The recent construction entirely in wood creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Visitors have found the parish priest engaging and simple in his explanations during mass. The modern aesthetic of the church provides comfort throughout the seasons, with an excellent parish priest who knows how to involve and communicate with the faithful.

Handreas N — Google review
(Translated by Google) Never hated this place why do you start the sentence in a negative way???? Fantastic. It says it all, I would have liked to write reviews under each photo to explain the situation of this street which is a side street of via Fani which they have asphalted (Province) but which is not cleaned or cleaned, it is only half asphalted and since it is downhill it has stones at the top which naturally when it rains descend into the valley until the intersection with Via Fani, creating a mountain of stones, breccia, mud, which are very dangerous for those who go out with a scooter or motorbike and for cars, which are instead harmful to cars because when you pass underneath they touch the cup of the oil but I understand that it is a losing war with the municipality which insists on stating that it is a private road so I ask myself: why is there a municipal plaque with the name of the street???? And why are there municipal rubbish bins right under the building???? And more or less I find myself forced to send emails to the environment office twice a week to report rubbish on the ground. The first bin arriving from San Costanzo is open and free and there is a coming and going of cars stopping to throw away bags of everything and even outside the bin, aluminum buckets with dirt, broken drying racks if, I call on behalf of others or send emails and they are very quick to arrive to clean and empty but why doesn't those who have to throw away follow this rule???? And the thing that also interests me is that I bought this small apartment in this position because it had a splendid view. I could see the coast of Ancona and the Conero. Now, 17 years later, I see 4 ugly, messy trees that have never had pruning, maintenance and they take away all the view as well as becoming a receptacle for insects but if two days ago they cut down and pruned all the trees in Mondolfo on the street that leads down from the town towards via Fani they couldn't clean those too what does a person have to do to get them cleaned?????? Someone says to throw acid on it, so everything dies and maybe it's the only solution. If the municipality does not intervene and talking to the mayor is impossible, it is certainly easier to talk to the Pope who, if you write, will certainly give you an audience, unlike you and the current mayor!!!! Then ask around who voted for him because many they complain and as always NOBODY voted for him and his secretary!!!!! excuses and excuses to keep me from talking!!!!!! Maybe he would contact me!!! I will continue to write here what I think is right and proper because before appearances you should be committed to the well-being of citizens, it seems possible that a citizen who does not own a car cannot go to Marotta due to the lack of service????? The stationery shop sells tickets and can't tell you the bus timetables in the square there are none because they are covered by advertising go to the mayor's secretary he will answer you go to the Adribus website and if you type on the Mondolfo-Marotta website you comes out either on foot or by taxi you have to call and it arrives from Fano or Senigallia and you have to pay the fare from its departure and its return. Once I couldn't help it, I called it, it cost me 120 euros. I would say that these are the priorities, not the San Pietrinii in the square!!! It stuck in my craw to hear that conversation of the secretary who was checking whether the color was the same after the intervention because the MAYOR WAS VERY WORRIED IN SEEING THE DIFFERENT COLOR AND IT WAS SPONTANEOUS TO INTERVENE AND ANSWER.... BUT HE WAS WORRIED ABOUT THE SERIOUS THINGS!!!!!!! And, I still think so!!!!

(Translated by Google) I believe that the "church" is often seen from another aspect than it may later reveal itself... it happened to me in other churches that I had a very bad experience as I wondered:- (but the church shouldn't be a place where we help each other, where we overcome obstacles together etc..?? Instead of just asking for money for everything?? ) well, actually in some churches it was exactly like that! A very bad experience! An experience not to be taken as an example. But for San Marco and Beato Nunzio this is not the case! FANTASTIC, UNIQUE priests! Even if describing them like this is also an understatement for their goodness with a heart of gold! When we are with them they manage to give us safety, protection and above all they make us feel at home... that home that I thought would never exist... and yet..... always ready to help each other ❤ I love you to all of you ❤ and I thank you for all the hard work that goes into every day but which you know how to make it magically unique ❤🙏 (Original) Io credo che spesso la " chiesa" viene vista sotto un' altro aspetto di quella che può rivelarsi poi...mi è capitato in altre chiese di aver avuto una pessima esperienza in quanto mi chiedevo :- ( ma la chiesa non dovrebbe essere un luogo dove ci si aiuta, dove si superano gli ostacoli assieme ecc..??

(Translated by Google) It was my parish at birth and in my childhood even if we are talking about the old and small headquarters now used as a warehouse for heating systems. It is my parish now after an absence of decades, in the "new" large headquarters. How can I talk badly about it? The environment is welcoming, the staff courteous and always willing to listen and preach. And what about the owner of the house? A true God 🤣 jokes aside, an ideal place to gather in prayer.

The Catholic church Parrocchia Santa Lucia is admired for its dedicated priest, Don Enrico, who is both a skilled clergyman and a remarkable individual. The parish's size matches the territory it covers, with a proportional number of inhabitants. Though the building itself may be small, it accommodates the current attendance adequately.

(Translated by Google) Perhaps when it was a kindergarten it was still a human environment, now V there is very little human left in this structure, I challenge anyone who has left a loved one behind to say that their relatives are happy to remain in this leaguer camp. It is practically a prison, the elderly who are deported here find their final state of peace in their life journey. They eat very little food, poor and tasteless for what they pay, with the excuse of pathologies they are not allowed to eat even what they normally could. In truth I have seen poverty served even badly, to satisfy them before sleeping instead of sleeping according to the head nurse and daughter of the director of the facility for the placebo effect instead of melatonin it was served instead of this water and salt or water and bicarbonate, little care for the patient left for hours to macerate in his own feces mixed with urine in diapers because in wheelchairs, the patients because they are all intimidated and scared women even to ask for a glass of water up here I have seen many other things but it would take a papyrus and the site does not Give me some advice, put the cameras on or ask for help from some news station reporting.
