Very disappointed in one of the staff there. Asked to use the gentleman toilet and was told "No we don't open the toilet to the general public " As a visiting Christian to God's House, could wait to leave. If Jesus Christ walked in and asked to use the toilet, I am sure the answer would be Yes.

During our recent visit to The Wells Church, we were greeted with genuine warmth right at the entrance. The friendly atmosphere continued as we interacted with various members of the congregation, who were eager to assist us with any questions. The worship experience was truly uplifting, featuring a talented worship team that created an environment where the Holy Spirit felt very present. Attendees had the freedom to pray openly, and the Pastor demonstrated a remarkable sensitivity throughout the service.
My husband and I visited this church yesterday. We were immediately welcomed in warmly at the door. Help was immediately given on our questions. The same welcome was ready by many inside. The worship was wonderful. The worship team were gifted musicians and the Holy Spirit was very present throughout the worship time. People were free to pray and the Pastor very sensitive throughout the whole service. The Word was shared enthusiastically inclusive of wonderful testimony. A truly great church. 10 out of 10. Nestled in a picturesque setting, this beautifully preserved church features stunning frescoes that enhance its serene atmosphere. Visitors can explore the interior, where medieval artwork and historical documents about the graveyard residents tell captivating stories of the past. Just WOW!! What a stunningly fantastic medieval church, totally picturesque, I almost do not want to review, just in case too many people find this perfect place of tranquility! Beautifully preserved Medieval fresco’s adorning the walls, their colours perfectly blended so as to add to the peace and gentleness of this church. The atmosphere and ambience distinctively reminded me that this is indeed a house of God, the undoubted presence of God was an amazing comfort to me. Thank you to all who keep this gem in its current condition. With out a doubt I will be donating and joining the friends of the Chrch 🙏🏻✨🌟💫 🫶🏻

Such a lovely little gem of a church, in an idyllic setting that has woolly sheep grazing amongst the headstones and ancient yews. It's worth giving yourself 30 mins or so to have a good look round the inside of the church, from the obvious medieval artwork on the walls, to the extensive documents and records on the graveyard residents. Such a good stop off point when on a walk, coupled with a quick pint at the nearby Dovecote.

Churches & Cathedrals
All Saints Church in Brenchley holds a sentimental value for many, as it has been a place of significant milestones such as baptisms and weddings. It is deemed lovely by attendees due to its charming atmosphere and historical significance. Recently, a new church has emerged, impressing visitors with its remarkable Sunday service and welcoming congregation. This country church exudes an inviting ambiance with its well-lit and spacious interior. The entrance is easily accessible with four steps accompanied by a handrail for convenience.
All Saints is an interesting church standing in a beautifully kept churchyard. The crownpost roof incorporates a canopy of honour over the eastern bay, where it would have emphasised the position of the rood figures. The lower part of the rood screen survives and is dated 1536 - making it (with Lullingstone) one of the last to be built in Kent before the Reformation. The sedilia and piscina survive in the chancel and date from the fourteenth century, even though this part of the church was rebuilt in the nineteenth century. The east window is by Morris and Co., and dates from 1910, whilst the windows to north and south of the sanctuary are also of twentieth century date and are by the well known artist Robert Anning Bell who is not usually associated with stained glass. There is a fine memorial in the north transept to Barbara and Walter Roberts, showing the two figures holding hands. It dates from 1652. One of the bells in the tower carries the inscription, 'Untouched I am a silent thing, But strike me and I sweetly sing.'

We help a christening for our son at this delightful Norman church. Two years prior we were married here. This church holds a very special place in our hearts with family connections stretching back generations and we always enjoy returning here. It's very well kept and the stewards are demonstrably invested in its future. Thank you for caring for such an important piece of history.

Some interesting external features on a building set in a cared for churchyard. Unfortunately that's as far as I could get. The building was locked with no information as to when it might be open. Nothing in the church porch to suggest any contact details. Another one on our visiting list that didn't work as expected.
