The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, nestled in Brewster, is a delightful destination for nature enthusiasts and families alike. This charming museum offers interactive exhibits and engaging activities that delve into the local ecology and wildlife. With a strong commitment to conservation, it spans over 400 acres of protected land where visitors can explore woodland trails and salt marshes. The museum features fascinating collections on marine life, including whales and birds, alongside live science displays that captivate all ages.
The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History is a fantastic spot for families! 🦀 It’s educational, interactive, and perfect for kids who love nature and sea life. The highlight for us was seeing the extremely rare half blue, half pink lobster—make sure to ask the staff so you don’t miss it. A fun and memorable experience for all ages!

YOU MUST JOIN THE BUTTERFLY 🦋 garden 🪴 Staffs in there was very nice and friendly. I love the atmosphere of it, everything was nice and lovely. We’re from Boston so the museum is small for us but everything was a good new experience for us My daughter loved it so much especially the butterflies 🦋 😅 Overall is nice experience
Tien P — Google review
Went on a weekend and found out the more interactive things for little kids are closed due to staff shortage. Which is super unfortunate because I know my kids would've LOVED that mud kitchen area. This is the only reason why I docked the rating. The museum itself is cute and very informative.
Jessica M — Google review
This place way undersells itself!! We stopped in today and the kids could have stayed for hours. We easily were there for almost two hours and only left because it was really hot and lunch time. So many things to see and do. Mine especially enjoyed the aquarium and the mud kitchen. Definitely a great place to make a trip to on the Cape if you have kids!
Sarah B — Google review
Cute, small museum! Kept the kids busy for a couple of hours. They enjoyed the different craft stations , especially those in the kingfisher play area (timed 30 min play slots).
Laura B — Google review
Hidden gem. Probably the coolest, most educational mini-aquarium I've been to. Small displays that let kids get close up to all kinds of different fish and sea creatures. No touching in the tide pool tank which was a slight disappointment, but the sheer variety of animals was a mitigating factor. Great collection of rare lobster morphs as well! The native American section was thoughtful and informative. I particularly liked the soil cross section showing the different regions that are present locally. Fun rainy day cape activity, highly recommended for thoughtful 4+ year old children.
Joe F — Google review
We had a blast here and could have stayed all day! It’s great for children of all ages and that includes the adult kids. Believe me, it’ll bring out the kid in you! Lots of learning opportunities, activities and creatures to observe. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and a joy to chat with. We particularly found the active bee hive fascinating! I love that they are able to go outside and then come come back for all of us to observe.
B C — Google review
Best Museum I have ever been to. A great rainy day option while down the cape. Or whatever the weather is. The bird exhibit and the observation area live with the feeders and osprey live cam for me are worth the price of admission. And amazing aquarium! You will NOT be let down. Highly recommend!

State park
Nature & Parks
Nickerson State Park is a sprawling 1900-acre woodland retreat that offers a variety of outdoor activities. The park features over 400 campsites, including options for yurt and group camping, as well as amenities such as an amphitheater, hiking trails, and an eight-mile bike path that connects to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Visitors can enjoy swimming and canoeing at Flax and Cliff Ponds, bird watching or fishing at Higgins Pond, and take part in seasonal interpretive programs.
We chose to go camping here on a Sunday evening and reserved Area 2, which is right next to the large and peaceful Flax Pond. It was just a two-minute walk from our individual tent site down a quiet path to the water. At the lakeside, you can enjoy paddleboarding or kayaking, with rentals available on-site. The camping atmosphere was wonderful—very quiet at night, with clear views of the stars and even the Milky Way. It was an unforgettable experience, and we’re already thinking about coming back.
Stella Z — Google review
Very nice place and if you're a resident of Massachusetts it's only $22 a night. Some sites larger than others, some sites clear than others, some sites are more level than others. If you plan on bringing a camper bring some leveling blocks you never know if you're going to get a completely flat sight but for the most part it always works out. Constant supervision by the rangers. They are always available. Fairly strict on who can come in and come out. Really nice hiking biking swimming. Multiple kettle ponds. Very clear and clean water Sandy beaches.
T.J. S — Google review
Nickerson was my first camping experience and it was absolutely wonderful. Now four years into it and I still feel the same way. It makes you feel like you’re in a secluded world of your own while giving you easy local access to the lovely things Cape Cod has to offer.
Imran S — Google review
Nickerson State Park ... what a dreamy place. It's been our second year pitching a tent in August and I cannot express adequately how peaceful and quiet it feels despite full occupancy. Where else on Cape Cod do you get that in the middle of summer? The ponds are the centerpiece, whether you're swimming, paddling or sailing. The water temperatures are moderate compared to the ocean, great for kids. The scent of pine trees and sweet pepperbush is natural aromatherapy and incredibly soothing. Hiking and bicycling trails are fabulous and well maintained. The park offers programming (kids, education, nature) you should consider making use of. Be sure to get your reservation in time, it fills fast!
Oliver S — Google review
We loved our stay at Nickerson! We had a group site in area 3. Site 102 was really nice and flat with a mixture of shade and sun. We had room for 4 tents and a screen room. We appreciated it having three picnic tables. There was a great spot for our hammock. Flax pond was beautiful and clean. Despite having a lot of activity on the pond, it never felt crowded. We brought our bikes, which is a must in this area. The biking was a lot of fun and we had everybody doing it from age eight and up. I can't wait to book again for next summer!
Amanda P — Google review
Nice campground ⛺️ just watch out for ticks. Be prepared with deet, and permethrin. The ponds are very nice with warm and clear water in the summer. The showers have warm water.
Ion G — Google review
Always a great place to visit, we go to the beach at Flax Pond to swim and picnic all day and have been going there for decades, a great family spot!
Bob M — Google review
We've been going here on and off for years. It's a great place to stay but there are issues. They need to rate how level a site is as they are all over the place. Which brings us to the second issue. The. State needs to invest in the park. Our bathroom building was in severe need of repair on the outside. And they could spend some money on leveling the sites. I realize they want to make it a rustic experience but having a level spot to set up your tent/trailer/camper doesn't detract from that. And finally, let's talk about fees. The park/State is non-resident unfriendly. With what they charge per night, I can stay three nights next to the ocean and beach in MD, and use their State senior pass to do it, and I'm from CT. I still recommend the place, but they can do better.

Theaters
Cape Rep Theatre, established in 1986 and located on the outskirts of Nickerson State Park, offers a diverse range of theatrical productions. The theater features a 135-seat indoor stage for plays and musicals from May to December, as well as Cape Cod's only outdoor theater with seating for 200 during the summer months. In addition to staging lesser-known and new productions, the theater also hosts children's shows in the outdoor theater.
One of Cape Cod’s best theaters! Indoor, outdoor and kid shows & you have to drive down a fun curvy trail to get there! Check out a show with plenty of multi-talented actors! I can’t wait to go back
Nic G — Google review
On 8/27/25 my wife and son went to the SpongeBob musical and absolutely loved the show. Our son went on and on about different things that happened in the show. Both my wife and son highly recommend seeing this if shows are still available and you’re in the Cape.
David W — Google review
The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, and the venue was accessible for our mobility impaired family member. Good seating options even for general admission. We were able to see and enjoy the show from the back. Saw a 2 pm October show of Trad at the barn, and it was so hot and dark in there that multiple people dozed off... That took away from our experience. However, the cast and fiddler did a great job to represent their respective crafts. The fiddling in particular made the show for us.
P L — Google review
We attended 2 plays this season and they were both fantastic; not hearing the buz around the Cape on this place and it appears to be way above many others - great stories, acting, and stage design. Make sure and see "Come On-A My House" before it closes in November. Great songs, dancing, and story with a surprise!
Susan C — Google review
This local theater company is a must-visit if you love the theater. It punches above its weight and often has shows that are as good as or better than Boston theater. The talent is also outstanding. You may not get a Hollywood name, but who cares - the actors give their heart and soul and it shows. What also makes it unique is that it is so small and intimate - one can often find the actors mingling after the show. It also brings in truly interesting plays and every season has at least one show that you will want to watch. Most recently in the summer of 2023 the lineup included "A Man of No Importance", about the plight of a gay man in conservative, Catholic Ireland, and The Pianist of Willesden Lane, about a Holocaust child survivor who became a world famous pianist. There is so much cultural variety and often the theme is tolerance - how important it is for us to tolerate and listen to each other. And it does it in such a wonderful way that tugs at your heart strings. There is also a great outdoor children's theater program right in the woods, which is amazing.
Natty H — Google review
My wife and I attended a performance of "From the Heart of the Wreck", and were mightily impressed. The show itself was brilliant, extraordinarily well conceived, acted, staged, and choreographed; and, IMHO, the intimate setting of the theater was perfect (if not essential) for conveying the intense emotional impact of the play. It was our first time ever attending a show at Cape Rep, but I can assure you it will not be our last! Kudos and thanks to the cast and crew for a wonderful theater experience!
Steven M — Google review
We saw Noises Off last night at Cape Rep's outdoor theatre. The show was fantastic! I was familiar with the show and excited to see how they worked the complicated set. They were quite clever! The show was very well cast. Everyone associated with the theatre (ticket booth, ushers) was very friendly. Great night out!
Jennifer T — Google review
The children's theater was fantastic. It's a beautiful outdoor venue with a great actors that love to interact with the kids. One of the best places to take the family while on the Cape. If you have the time stop in for a show you won't be disappointed. If you don't have time, you should make time. Your kids will thank you.

Great spot to take pictures and see Herring run and a seagull party. ..A guy visiting showed me a video he took just a few days ago where an eagle swooped down and grabbed 2 Herring. It's Incredible to see with your eyes... the Herring swimming upstream- up the "waterfall". I was told that the best time for the Herring run happens around the last week of April.
S C — Google review
We were here in mid-June 2024. The Mill wasn't open yet but we enjoyed taking pictures. A prettty spot.
Barb P — Google review
We had read about herring runs but never made it to one until this year. Went over April vacation with grandkids and we all enjoyed it very much. It’s quite a fascinating combination of nature and people working together. I’d recommend checking the website in advance to see if the herring are running. They usually run in April if it’s above 50 degrees. I believe they run back in June, we’re going to keep an eye on that. If you go make sure you go to both sides of the property across the street from each other. On side has a bridge, a picnic area on the hill, several “ladders” for the herring to jump on their way to the pond, which is across the street. Be very careful crossing as this is a tricky road situation. The mill, brook & pond are located at the bottom of a little valley in the road and it curves at the same time. Once you safely cross the street, follow the brook up hill, to the last “ladder” and watch the herring as they try to make the last leap into the pond to later spawn this spring. It’s fascinating to watch some make it and some don’t. Some that make it appear to get carried back down if they don’t swim away from the rushing brook fast enough. Kids can walk through a couple of paths up on a hill next to the pond and hang out on some large boulders adjacent to the pond. The only thing we couldn’t do was go inside the mill to see how the water wheel worked. It wasn’t open but we gave the kids our own little lesson on how it works and hope to get back someday when it’s open. This is truly just one more reason when the Cape is so special. There is so much more to the cape than just the beach and this is just one example.
Jack S — Google review
Walked the property (the mill is only open on Saturdays in The Summer) we will come back to visit when it's open. But it is a beautiful place to see.
Lisa G — Google review
The mill was closed but this is a hidden gem to experience some of nature's reproduction processes. The mill is on one side of the street and herring are on the other. Only the strongest survive, the herring climb a series of small waterfalls to get to the pond where the lay their eggs. It a great stop for families and naturalists. Note, the seagulls are also there to get an easy meal.
Paquita P — Google review
Beautiful old grist mill with trails along the stream and up to the mill pond. No dogs allowed and trails are on both sides of the streets. Small parking area. I saw lots of egrets on one end, apparently is really something to see the herring swim up the fish ladder in the spring. The mill wasn't open but grounds always are.
Trypp A — Google review
The mill was unexpectedly open today, although not running (only on Saturdays). It was really cool to see all the old tech and purchase a bag of actual stone ground corn meal. The trails along the herring run were beautiful. The herring "run" in May, but it's neat to see off season as well.

I have been wanting to come here for years. Georgous home. They are open twice a week for the summer season. There are folks that will greet you and tell you a little bit of history around the home. You get to see all three levels and most rooms are decorated as they would have been in that time. There is a suggested donation of $6 per person

I’ve been coming to the Cape for 20+ years and this is perhaps one of my favorite places I’ve seen. What a beautiful home and incredible story. I was very touched by the devotion and dedication of the volunteers that have saved this gem from eventual ruin. I thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that has given their blood, sweat and tears, and spent the last 30 years of their lives helping to preserve this estate. Most of the people I spoke with were in their 70s, 80s and 90s. I would definitely recommend seeing this amazing place and speaking with the wonderful people that volunteer here. And find out how you can get involved or donate.

Attended wedding and the venue was magical. Couple was married on the front steps. Dining hall was too hot and lacked air circulation but still amazing. Spectacular sunset.

Had our wedding reception there in 2000. Lovely spot with an air of Old Cape Cod when ocean liners were the way to cross the ocean and men dressed up to play croquet. The interior is beautiful, grounds maintained well. Very memorable.

Breakwater Beach is a popular sandy public beach in Brewster, offering permit parking and portable toilets during the summer. It's part of a network of town beaches including Crosby Landing, Linnell Landing, Ellis Landing, Saints Landing, and Robbins Hill. The beach is known for stripers along the shore at high tide and the famous Brewster Flats that stretch out for miles at low tide.
Absolutely beautiful at low tide. We walked out in the water for over an hour. We found amazing sea creatures. It was peaceful and a great experience. Highly recommend this spot. Be aware it only has port o potties and no place to change. We wore water shoes as there were jellyfish around.

Breakwater Beach in Brewster Mass home of the largest tidal flats in North America. at low tides, you can walk out almost a mile and experience, shallow water, aquatic life, horseshoe crabs, fish, snails, oysters and clams. Seeing all this in an easy access, location is wonderful.
Todd S — Google review
Both of the times I went during my trip to the Cape there was hardly any water, just a bunch of sand and some areas with knee level water. I should’ve done more research because I wouldn’t have paid for a parking pass if I knew I wouldn’t even be able to swim here. My advice is to just go after 4pm when they no longer require you to pay to park. Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice beach just not what I was expecting. Great if you just like to relax on the sand. And it was not busy at all both times I went, but I’m guessing that’s because you can’t go for a swim.
Shayla S — Google review
A nice, but small public beach with plenty of parking considering the size of the beach. A parking permit is required from June 15th until Labour Day (first weekend in September). It’s fun to walk around during low tide & a great place to watch the sunset.
Burk S — Google review
Fairly narrow at this location if there at high tide. Some marsh grass. Sunset was beautiful
SJHarris — Google review
Great public beach! VERY limited parking, but it exists and is free! One portajohn for emergencies. This is a beach you can lounge on during high or low tide. If you bring kids or go yourself, just leave the wildlife alone please! If you want to touch or take, just take yourself down to the natural history museum down the road to touch their critters. This is a fragile ecosystem that benefits from peace and quiet!

The venue is perfect for family outings and birthday parties, providing a simple yet beautiful place for kids to have fun.
A well maintained, challenging and fun mini golf course! The best on Cape Cod. They also have great ice cream and merch. Employees are great and the new owners are doing an excellent job. We will definitely come back. I highly recommend!

A fun little mini golf course. With lots of parking. The course was filled with wild flowers and what seemed to be a mix of overgrown weeds. They had music playing through the course. All 18 holes were easy but fun. Price was on par with other places around. If you need to go to the bathroom it looks like you need to use a porta potty. I will say they had ice cream and when paying it smelled amazing. Fun place and everyone had fun 😀

Great spot off the beaten path. Had attempted to go to another nearby popular spot and could not even get in the parking lot. Really good quality ice cream, great service and large portions.

Such a perfect family mini golf course. We were greeted by their helpful & friendly staff and then sent right on our way golfing. Smaller course with gorgeous landscaping and clean greens. Plenty of benches to sit in the shade while the rest of your group plays, too. Especially nice in the summertime. An easy five stars here!

Cute little mini golf course on the cape. A super friendly staff and the owners (Matthew, Amy, and their dog Roo) do a great job keeping the place nice. Don’t forget to get ice cream! ***important!! They do NOT let you start a round of golf after 9:30pm even though their hours are until 10:00pm, but you can keep playing if you’re already going. Highly recommend!

Sara K — Google review
Harbor Lights Mini Golf & Ice Cream is an absolute gem on Cape Cod — and it’s easy to see why it’s ranked among the top mini golf courses in Massachusetts on TripAdvisor. The course offers a great balance of challenge and fun; while some holes will really test your aim, our group still managed to snag a few satisfying holes-in-one. The highlight for us was the waterfall hole — a creative, scenic feature that adds a bit of wow-factor to the round. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, with a pollinator wildflowers that attracted butterflies while we played. The atmosphere is family-friendly while still offering a relaxed option for adults with beer and wine available. We visited as a group of five adults, but we noticed families with young children nearby having a wonderful time as well. That’s one of the best parts — this spot is truly great for all ages. After the game, you can reward yourself with a treat from their ice cream stand, which makes the experience feel complete. If you’re in Brewster and looking for an activity that blends Cape Cod charm, natural beauty, and good old-fashioned fun, Harbor Lights is well worth the stop.

Awesome beach - unlike anywhere I've visited before. We arrived around 5 pm after the tide had gone (wayyyyy) out, and there was lots of shallow water for kids to play in. Scenic and fun.

One of my favorite beaches on the Cape for sunsets and nature walks. I can’t wait until my daughter gets a little older and we can explore the many tidal pools together. Very limited parking. I believe a beach sticker required in the summer season, but I’ve only visited in the spring and fall when parking is free.

Nice place but if your not a local apparently your car will get scratched for some reason.........when I returned to my car there was a long scratch all down the side, and you need to have a beach parking pass or you'll get a ticket,i wont ever go to Brewster and spend money there again.

This place has a bit of everything. There's a traditional beach for lounging and swimming. There's a shallow area (during low tide) for playing water games. Our favorite part though was the salt water stream. It's full of fiddler crabs, green crabs, fish, and the occasional eel. It's great to explore with kids! Don't expect to find a parking spot though. Also, is you don't have a permit then it's $20 to park before 5pm.

Wonderful family beach. Parking only for about 12 cars. One porta potty. Beautiful beach. Perfect fit kids.
Bill H — Google review
This is my kids favorite beach in Brewster. It has character with the inlets and outlets, bridges, different depts for swimming even in low tide so it's not completely dry like the other bay area beaches. The swim area near the bridge is deep around 3-4 feet even on low tide so kids can swim all day until the tide gets high again. When the tide comes in this place is great for a natural lazy river and swimming! The layout and look of this beach is unique compared to the other beaches just being a wide stretch beach. After going to the other four beaches in Brewster, my kids still want to come here everyday. The parking is tiny so plan accordingly.

Crosby Landing Beach, situated in Brewster, Massachusetts, is a popular spot for those seeking a serene and expansive coastal retreat. The beach boasts ample parking nestled among picturesque dunes, making it convenient for visitors to access. At high tide, the sandy shores provide an ideal setting for sunbathing and swimming in the calm waves. Additionally, during low tide, the breathtaking views are truly spectacular.
This is a great beach for little kids. There is a large sandbar where kids can walk out pretty far during the tides. The beach is nice soft sand, there are porta potties at the parking lot. We went there for the sunset as well as a full day on the beach and had a blast.

It’s nice but you cannot park here without a permit between 9 AM and 4 PM
Ion G — Google review
My favorite bay side beach. Get there early to be able to park in the main lot. If you don’t have a town sticker… you will definitely get ticketed. What’s nice about this beach is that it’s easy to get away from the crowd… and you can walk to the east for over a mile (much further at low tide) without walking by any development/houses. Recommend you take the hard pack trail off the east side of the parking lot… and walk about a hundred yards or so before turning left onto one of the many side trails that cross the dune to the beach. This will get you to a more secluded section of the beach. This is also a good beach to find sea glass; the best time is early morning or immediately after the high tide starts to recede. This allows you to find glass before the many other sea glass hunters have picked it clean. Or at late afternoon when the low angle sun reflects nicely off the glass pieces.

Very peaceful and clean beach. It’s a private beach for the residents, I think. It’s a very nice town. We booked a airbnb and that’s how got access to the beach. Not too many people just residents running and jogging around the beach. It’s very serene, clean and calm place. Got one of the best sunsets.

One of our favorite and nicest Brewster beaches. Plenty of parking in the main lot and an overflow lot just up the road. The sand and dunes are beautiful. Great for walking on low tide and swimming pools for little kids. Of course during high tied always a good time for more swimming. The water was the warmest compared to the other Brewster beaches during low tide in the afternoon. The kids and I loved playing in the mini waves. We are looking forward to coming back soon.
Kham I — Google review
Favorite beach in Brewster! Love walking on the path through the dunes to get to/from the parking lot, and especially love the creek at the end for swimming in clean, clear water - minus the crowds who opt not to walk down that far, totally worth it to almost feel like you're on a private beach. Wish all the visitors would be more vigilant about cleaning up after themselves. My last few times there I've filled up a trash bag with garbage found along the way left by others. Please help keep our oceans clean & don't be a litter bug!!! ⚠️🚯♻️⚠️

Nice little beach with long stretches of shallow water. Kids have tons of fun with the littlw hermit crabs and other little critters in the water. Make sure you get your parking sticker ahead of time.

Lovely beach. Great when the Tide goes out. Walking in ankle to knee deep water and the sand soft. A small strip of some small rocks along the beach but once through that it is amazing especially at sunset.

Drummer Boy Park is a charming public park located in Brewster, Cape Cod. It features an open field with paved trails, benches, and mature trees. The park is home to the historic Old Higgins Farm Windmill, dating back to 1795. Throughout the summer, the park hosts family-friendly events such as live concerts and craft fairs, adding to its small-town New England charm.
Driving down 6a we noticed the sign for a park and made a u turn to check it out. There is a good sized parking lot and two porta potties. Attached to this park is Windmill Village making this an even better place to visit. There is a paved loop trail with a short side trail going to a vista with a few of the marsh and Bay. A large gazebo is a short distance from the parking lot. There weren't any benches in it when we were there but a bench and picnic table just outside the gazebo. Between Dummer Boy and Windmill Village you can take a nice easy walk. If you are looking to extend the walk (as we were) a short walk down the sidewalk gets you to Wing Island Trailhead where you can walk a few miles. It was wonderful to be able to park and have three great parks to visit and walk.

Drummer Boy Park is a nice space with parking, a paved walking path and lovely windmill surrounded by other buildings. There are picnic tables and portable potties. It is also a good area to park if going on the Wing Trail just a quick walk down the same side of 6A.

As a teenager in the 90's, my family came here when there was a museum with huge oil paintings of the Revolutionary War. The gentleman that gave the tour was engaging and awesome. It was the highlight of the few summers we came to Cape Cod. I wish the museum were still here, and I always wondered what happened to the paintings. Just stopped by on my way back from Canada and enjoyed the quiet park with my doggo.

Hiking area
Eddy Bay Trail is a short and easy 1-mile hike through the woods in Brewster, offering stunning views of Cape Cod Bay. The trail ends at the highest bluff in Brewster, providing panoramic vistas from Plymouth to the Pilgrim Monument. It's a family-friendly loop with informative signs along the way and free parking available. The path takes about 20 minutes to walk and is dog-friendly, making it perfect for a short nature walk with your furry friend.
A nice loop for someone who just wants a breath of woodsy air without the commitment of a long hike. The walk took about 20 minutes, and I was treated to a lovely view of the bay halfway through. I enjoyed the various informative signs along the way. I went during the off-season, so I had the place to myself. Free parking was available.
Kimberly R — Google review
Fantastic trail! A hidden gem with lots of different bird calls in the air, and history along the way. It’s advertised as a loop but really it’s an out and back with a circle loop at the ends. The overlook at the end is perched atop the last wild hilltop on Cape Cod Bay in Brewster. In 2000, Ruth N. and Mary-Louise Eddy generously donated these 32 acres to the Brewster Conservation Trust. At 50 feet above sea level, it is the highest bluff between Sandwich and Wellfleet. From here, on a clear day, you can see the entire sweep of the Bay from Plymouth to Provincetown. It’s absolutely gorgeous!
Kristian D — Google review
Lovely dog friendly path that is about a 15min walk to a sand cliff with a beautiful overlook of the bay. Not to rigorous which was perfect for me as I wanted a short nature walk with my dog.
Jazmin S — Google review
Great little walk that takes about 15 minutes. It is a one way in and out path with a small alternative section. That takes you through the holly trees. At the end there is a great view of the bay. The view is from the power plant in plymouth to the tip of the cape. On a very clear day you can see the monument in P-town.
Shawn E — Google review
This was a short and easy walk to a beautiful scenic view of the Cape. The path is narrow, so bring a mask to comfortably pass others.
Mari B — Google review
A true town trail. Just the right length and a great treat at the end. This is an out and back again trail that goes through a dying scrub pine forest that is transitioning to oaks. The end point is a magnificent overlook with a sweeping vista of Cape Cod Bay. On a clear day one can see the Pilgrim Monument and the Sandwich Canal power plant with Plymouth in the distance. Always worth it to watch the interaction of the wind, waves and sky while getting a good walk.
Gary C — Google review
Out and back style trail. Not bad walk. Easy. Depending on time of year, means how many bugs (also wasp nest on trail), dogs, other folks who may go. But can't fit too many cars, so it likely won't feel over crowded.

Saints Landing Beach in Brewster, Cape Cod is a small and peaceful spot known for its stunning sunsets and stargazing opportunities. Visitors can enjoy activities like swimming, fishing, shell collecting, and leisurely walks on the Brewster Flats. The beach is particularly suitable for families with young children due to its shallow waters and lack of strong tides.
Mid-May visit, the beach 🏖 was super nice, clean and nice sunny ☀️ weather for kites 🪁 of course the water was very cold. The place has portable restroom 🚻 and parking lots

Tiny beach in Brewster, and easy beach to get to. However there are many rocks in the water vs sand so hard for the kids. Good to find smooth rocks to collect.
Kham I — Google review
Wrong location on map. Nice beach, small but offers public access to the Brewster flats. The tidal flats are very cool at low tide with miles of walking.
C B — Google review
At low tide, the clammers are on the hunt and it’s neat to watch teams of two carry wooden buckets of clams suspended on a big pole back from the flats. As the tide comes in, it’s fun to look for crabs and other sea creatures. There is a rock jetty and a fairly rocky sea shore. At high tide, the beach is a great swimming spot. Very family friendly but no life guards.
Jessica K — Google review
Really rocky unlike many other beaches near it iddfg
Eric W — Google review
This beach is absolutely beautiful. Its most appropriate if you have small children, because the water is lower than other beaches on the Cape. During low tide you can walk out for awhile, and the water does not get very deep nor does it have very large tides compared to other beaches so its less scary for small children. There is also nice wildlife in the area for kids to see like crabs and snails and such.

Wing Island is a kid-friendly nature walk that takes you through a narrow boardwalk in a forest, leading to Cape Cod Bay. The trail offers varying landscapes and the chance to spot ospreys in their nests during summer. Visitors can park at Drummer Boy Park and take a lovely walk up the road to reach the public path. It's recommended to check the tides as the marsh can be inundated, but overall, it's a peaceful and captivating experience.
After walking at Drummer Boy Park we walked the two tenths of a mile to the Wing Island Trailhead. It only has a small sign attached to a tree. It’s located next to the Cape Cod Museum Of Natural History but doesn’t have its own parking area. The two parking lots are for Museum customers only. It’s only a two tenth of a mile walk from Drummer Boy Park on a nice sidewalk. This is an outstanding trail that starts just west of the entrance of the Cape Cod Museum parking lot. Once you start on the trail there is good signage showing you the main trail and the cutoff trails off the loop trail that goes down to the Bay. You can’t walk onto the museum property without a wristband from the museum. It starts off as a single trail heading north but then splits into a loop trail after crossing a large marsh over a wooden plank trail. The water just covered some of the boards but it wasn't a problem on this day. The loop heads down to the bay where you walk along the beach until it heads back south. It was low tide so there was a giant beach with water separating different sandy areas.
Bill L — Google review
Park at Drummer Boy Park and walk down the same side of 6A to access the trail to Wing Island. Look for the sign "Wing Trail" attached to a tree on the left side of the sidewalk. Go straight through past the CC Museum of Natural History on the right, and you will go through different habitats including woods, meadow, upper marsh, and salt marsh.
Carol J — Google review
This walk is so easy and fun with the kids. We took the short/faster route to the marsh/beach, then on the way back, one of us took one of the kids the longer way, and the other took the younger kids the shorter way. We went two different times. The morning was super hot from the sun but not horrible. The afternoon was cooler and perfect though.
Jessica M — Google review
A local told us about this spot and so glad we made the trek. Parked at nearby Drummer Boy Park and walked up the road to the public path. The walk to the dunes is lovely. We went on a weekday before the summer season and saw no more than four people in the hour we spent there, including two guys standing on the narrow boardwalk trying to get photos of the osprey nest in the middle of the marsh.
Bob W — Google review
I went when the aquarium was closed but Wing Island itself was really cool and the walk was really peaceful
Rustybear9294 — Google review
Wonderful hike across the marsh, through the uplands, past the meadow, out to Cape Cod Bay. Since you're crossing the marsh, watch the tides as the planks across the marsh can be inundated. Be sure to explore the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History while in the area. The museum is a gem!
Peg L — Google review
I love it here. I almost don't want to review it because I don't want anyone else to know how great a spot it is! The trails are lovely, short, and good for kids. There is a narrow boardwalk through the marsh to get to the island. The trails end at a nice beach. If you want to park close to the trail, you will need to pay to go to the museum of natural history. But if you are just there for the walk, you will need to park at Drummer Boy Park and walk on the sidewalk. Just before the entrance to the museum parking lot there is a grassy opening, which is the trail you should follow. Enjoy!
Perri S — Google review
One of my two favorite places to walk on the Cape (the other is For Hill in Eastham). Clear trails, nice place to walk through several kinds of habitat in a short distance. Definitely plan to go at low tide to take in the tidal pools!

Fair quality bike. Customer service okay. We rented 3 E-bikes. We were told average distance is 30 miles battery per bike. 2 bikes were fine, 3rd bike the battery died any the halfway point which was Chatham. It made for a long trip back. We did not let it ruin our time but when we got back and told the owner about the battery issue, made comments like when did it die, how many miles (like we were lying), I asked about any sort of refund, he said “no” and did not apologize even once for not checking the battery before we left. Even with the dead bike the battery was still showing green. They also gave us no locks for the bikes and there were none on the bikes.

No issues at all with the rental equipment and the return was fast and easy. The location can't be beat - ride a couple of miles toward Harwich to find a nice, quiet beach on a pond. Ride a couple of miles towards Orleans to get to Cobie's and Nickerson Park. Great experience!

This is a great park which me and my family have walked in for as long as we’ve lived on the cape. The forest is varied and there are ponds and other wetlands which provide perfect habitat for wildlife. The park is big enough that you can have a unique experience each time while being able to be away from other people. The only problem I have is that it is very poorly marked. Once you are out there, it is hard to find your way back on a different trail than you came on, since it is unclear which trails and roads lead where. Don’t see this as a deterrent, though, just proceed with caution. Overall, I would highly recommend this park, but make sure to take a picture of the map at the beginning of the trail so you can refer to it later!
