Nobska Lighthouse, also known as Nobska Point Light, is a historic 1800s lighthouse located in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. The current 42-foot iron tower was built in 1876 and offers stunning panoramic views from its lantern room, stretching from Woods Hole Harbor to Martha's Vineyard.
Such a beautiful spot! I got there before dusk and there were only a few people milling around. Though it's not open to tours you can walk the grounds. Easy to get to and there about five parking spaces. Be careful pulling out as there's a blind turn on one side.
Stephanie W — Google review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nobska Lighthouse – A Must-See Cape Cod Gem 📍 Location & Accessibility Nobska Lighthouse is perched atop a bluff in Woods Hole, Falmouth, offering one of the most breathtaking views of Vineyard Sound and the Elizabeth Islands. It’s easily accessible by car, with a small parking area nearby. While limited, the lot turns over quickly, and roadside parking is also available. 🏞️ Scenic Views The panoramic vistas are stunning—especially at sunrise or sunset. You can see Martha’s Vineyard, the ferries passing through the Sound, and a dramatic meeting of sea and sky. It’s a photographer’s dream and a peaceful place to sit, reflect, and take in the coastal beauty of Cape Cod. 🕰️ Historical Significance Originally built in 1876, Nobska Light has rich maritime history and served as a key navigational point for sailors around the Cape. The site is well-maintained, and the Friends of Nobska Light have done an amazing job preserving its legacy. The lighthouse structure itself—white with a black lantern—is classic New England. 🧭 Guided Tours (When Available) Tours inside the lighthouse are occasionally offered by the non-profit organization managing the property. If you get a chance to go inside, the spiral staircase and the lantern room offer a deeper appreciation for the role this lighthouse played in maritime history. 📸 Great for Families & Visitors Nobska is kid-friendly and an excellent stop for families looking for a quick but meaningful activity. Whether you're touring Cape Cod or doing a day trip from Boston, it’s a worthy detour. Picnicking on the grassy knoll nearby is a simple joy. 💬 Final Thoughts Nobska Lighthouse isn’t just a beautiful photo op—it's a serene, historic landmark that captures the spirit of Cape Cod. Whether you’re a history buff, a nature lover, or just passing through, don’t miss it.

Possibly the most perfect place on earth. Go. Sit. Stare. Think. Bring a couple layers because it's breezy. Bring some art supplies. Bring a blanket. A great place for star gazing at night. (Photos from Easter 2023)
Lindy D — Google review
One of the most fascinating and peaceful places we have visited in recent times. The 360 degree view is enormous. Martha's Vineyard can be seen from here vividly. The Nobska Lighthouse is open only Teo days a week : Tuesday and Thursday from 10.00 AM to 1.30 PM. Tickets only available online. Parking is available for just 6 cars and parking is allowed for one hour only, no charges though. There is a bushy area just across the road where there is a lovely bench hidden and an excellent spot for photographers. Watching the sunset is a must. Roads are very narrow and extremely curvy. Please be careful.
Bharat B — Google review
Always beautiful- my favorite road! Make sure when you visit the lighthouse, you walk across the street and go to the little overlook area- if you are brave you can walk down further on the rocks to the water (just be careful of ticks and prickly bushes!)
Aly K — Google review
So beautiful. We were there on a gorgeous day. It was closed because of the government shutdown so we only saw the outside. Outstanding views!
MaryBeth L — Google review
The view is a vibe!! Our girl's trip to Martha's Vineyard was a blast and seeing amazing site and views along the way made the experience 5 star!

Cool lighthouse, couldn't go in because they are not open on the weekend. No parking and the second lot was not open. There is a memorial across the road I found interesting. The last name on the plaque is my grandmother's name. No relation but I had no idea the bench and plaque were there.

Highfield Hall & Gardens is a captivating 19th-century estate located in Falmouth, perfect for an afternoon escape from the everyday hustle. Open from April to October, this historic mansion, built in the 1870s, is surrounded by 400 acres of conservation land featuring breathtaking gardens and scenic walking trails. It serves not only as a cultural hub but also as a community gathering spot where visitors can enjoy various events such as art shows, concerts, and family-friendly programming.
This garden is absolutely stunning—an oasis of calm and color that instantly lifts your mood. Everywhere you look, there’s something beautiful in bloom, from vibrant flowers to perfectly kept pathways and peaceful little sitting spots. It’s clear that so much care and love goes into maintaining it. Walking through the garden felt like a breath of fresh air—so serene and inspiring. It’s the perfect place to slow down, reflect, or just enjoy nature at its best. I left feeling refreshed and grateful. Can’t wait to visit again!
Pilai W — Google review
The museum delivered on the name and more with art galleries, a guided highlights tour, and nearby walking trails. Although I did not get a chance to see a play during this visit, the property also hosts the Falmouth Theatre Guild. I took the special guided tour, which took place on the first and third Sundays of the month from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. This was the exact type of highlights tour that I advocate for at all museums! While not listed on the website, admission is currently $10 for adults and $0 for children, active military and their families, Card to Culture holders, and NEMA members. The entire museum and much of the gardens are wheelchair accessible, and a decent amount of seating is available. The entire space is well-lit, and signage is an appropriate length, although the text could be slightly larger. For those in the Falmouth area who enjoy art, architecture, and history, this is an ideal stop.

Absolutely gorgeous place to visit. The home restoration is stunning, and the 2nd floor museum and history on the home are so interesting. It cost $10 to tour the home. And it I'd free to walk around the gardens and Beebe woods. Maps are available inside. I definitely recommend visiting this beautiful home and gardens.
Janet S — Google review
What an amazing cultural center. It was great to walk around the grounds.
Rosanne M — Google review
Came here on a Thursday. There is a modest fee for touring the estate and highly worth it. The volunteer staff is friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. It is beautifully restored.
Christine N — Google review
Very dog friendly trails with views of a beautiful pond at the end of one of the trails. It also has an instrumental set up in the beginning of the trails. Highly recommended
Ricky B — Google review
For $10 you can explore a historic home from the 1870's and roam the gardens. It's super well maintained. While there, be sure to check out the woods and trails as well.

Aquarium
Nature & Parks
The Woods Hole Science Aquarium, the nation's first operating aquarium, is a must-visit for ocean enthusiasts. With over 140 species of fish and touch tanks featuring local sea life like lobsters, crabs, and starfish, it offers an immersive experience. After exploring the aquarium, visitors can enjoy waterfront dining at eateries like Landfall and The Captain Kidd. During busy summer months, parking can be challenging so taking the WHOOSH trolley from Falmouth Mall is recommended.
Super fun free aquarium. Has a reasonable selection of different fish and sea creatures on display. They even have a shallow tank where you can gently touch some sea creatures. Apparently they have a seal too but I did not see it out when I visited. Note that there is no parking and street parking can be hard to come by. But it is fairly inexpensive at $1/hr up to 3 hrs.

Wonderful historic little aquarium for an hour or so in quant woods hole. Don't miss the tanks upstairs where you can see "behind the scenes"

Woods Hole Scientific Aquarium is the oldest public aquarium in the United States Established in 1875. It's a fun little aquarium for the kids. Free or make a donation
Cam E — Google review
This place was awesome! I took my 2 year old and she absolutely loved it. They have fish that I’ve never seen before. It’s free admission and lots to look at!
Jessica F — Google review
So perfect for my almost-3-year-old twins. They really enjoyed all the fish and it was small enough to hold their attention through the whole thing. No strollers inside and parking is difficult to find since it’s all street parking but we really enjoyed the quick visit.
Sara F — Google review
Nice little aquarium in the heart of Woods Hole. Took our grandchildren here and they loved it. Especially the tanks with the octopus in them. It is pretty small but they only ask for a donation rather than an admission price. Be warned, parking in Woods Hole is pretty rough and the streets are small.
Lee H — Google review
Free self guided aquarium with a lot of information and a wide variety of animals. Also has a seal enclosure and behind the scenes access to learn how the aquarium runs
David L — Google review
Love this fun free aquarium. There's lots of fish to see and information to read about. There's a touch tank too! There is very little parking at the building and the surrounding area. So if you are driving you either need to plan for it or plan on biking/riding the bus.

Nestled in the charming area of Woods Hole, The Knob is a delightful nature spot that offers visitors a serene escape with its stunning views of Buzzards Bay and Quissett Harbor. This hidden gem features a short yet enchanting quarter-mile trail perfect for leisurely strolls, especially during sunset when the scenery transforms into something magical. 1st note there is no public restroom. Besides that it was super fun. It’s a very easy hike. My 78 year old MIL was able to walk most of it and climbed the steps. The locals were very nice. Great little walk for some fresh air.

Really nice beach trail, parking is kinda hit or miss. One Trail is fairly flat and the other one is a little more uneven.

A beautiful hidden gem that offers a truly enjoyable experience. It's a large area with a lovely walking trail, but don't let the size fool you—the hike is very easy and perfect for all skill levels. You can take a peaceful stroll through the woods and end up at a breathtaking lookout point with stunning views of the water. I absolutely loved my visit and can't wait to go back.

Garden
Nature & Parks
Spohr Gardens, located in Falmouth, is a charming six-acre woodland garden featuring an array of springtime flowers surrounding a picturesque pond. The property was once owned by Charles and Margaret Spohr, who envisioned creating a tranquil nature sanctuary for the community. Visitors can wander along winding paths adorned with nautical artifacts, including historic anchors collected by Charles. The gardens offer rotating seasonal blooms and stunning views of Oyster Pond.
So interesting. So relaxing. Had an hour to kill with my family and this was a great place to walk around at marvel at all the the big anchors, and millstones that they have collected here. Beautiful and interesting plants throughout the property. Highly recommend.
Martin K — Google review
Do you love mill stones and anchors? This is the place for you. Spohr Gardens is free and open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The gardens hold events throughout the year, including planting daffodils and welcoming butterflies. While some people with limited mobility may enjoy the main paths and find places to sit, the grounds are not wheelchair accessible. This is the perfect place to relax after several hours of learning history.
Abigail E — Google review
Love this garden with something for everyone (except bathrooms) Some wide easy pathways and some fun narrow and winding ones. A lot of old anchors milestones to see. We enjoyed wandering around at own paces and met back up at the car. Lots of plants, trees and wildlife to see.
Those H — Google review
Even in the rain it's a beautiful garden to walk through. Great collection of mill stones and anchors.
Kathleen D — Google review
Absolute gorgeous garden in oysters pond, free to everyone. The story behind the garden is beautiful. Be sure to explore all the little trails throughout the garden. Lots of rabbits and chipmunks running around for entertainment. Great place to read a book or just enjoy a quiet afternoon. Definitely recommend visiting this park.
Janet S — Google review
Great place to check out even on a rainy day!!! I can imagine the gardens in bloom in the spring!
Anatoliy S — Google review
Such a magical place to visit. Sweet history of a couple very much in love as these gardens tell their "story". I especially loved the the dock area with all the anchors lined up along the waterline. They were collected through the years from several ships and their "back story" is written down for each one. It doesn't cost anything but donations are always welcome and I'm sure much appreciated. Definitely a place I recommend to visit with the family, your significant other or even by yourself. It's a short peaceful and beautiful walk through "history"....

Nestled in the charming town of East Falmouth, Cape Cod Winery is a delightful outdoor bar and vineyard that beckons wine enthusiasts and pizza lovers alike. This picturesque venue features an inviting atmosphere with picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, and cozy fire pits under a spacious big-top tent. Visitors can enjoy live music performances while sipping on exquisite wines or indulging in mouthwatering pizzas from Wolf Pizza, available on select days throughout the season.
This is a great place to spend an afternoon. We stopped in on a fall afternoon. many of the tables had propane fireplaces at them. There was a band playing, and I sat and enjoyed a flight of wine which there is sparkling. Rosé was my favorite. This is a must stop if you were driving through the Cape.
Joel G — Google review
I've been coming here for years and have always had a great experience. Unfortunately, they appear to be getting to wrapped up in making a profit more than customer experience. Very disappointing. After years of being able to bring our own picnic lunch, outside food is no longer allowed. We're expected to order from their onsite "truck" but that provides very limited options for our dietary needs, especially those in my group that are gluten free.We were scolded for having a bottle of water (it was a hot day). Not the same experience we used to look forward to.
Elizabeth L — Google review
I have to say this might be one of my favorite places in Falmouth, if not my favorite! My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night at about 4 o’clock and wow it blew us away. The vibes were stunning, the acoustic music was very relaxing, and the food was delicious! The staff took good care of us and actually offered to remake our pizza when the first one came out a little bit burnt. We would’ve eaten it and not cared, but the fact that they offered and then remade the pizza was the little extra that showed good service. The staff encounters with everyone from the gift shop to the bartenders were amazing. The vibe and the drinks were absolutely incredible. I cannot wait to go back here and looking forward to it. Thank you Cape Cod winery. We absolutely loved our time!

Relaxing, quaint atmosphere! Visited a during a quieter time (Sept. 2023) so it wasn't crowded and we were able to enjoy a bit of lunch while browsing around, without rushing or crowds. Sampled a pleasing mermaid rose, bought a bottle for later, just took our time enjoying our late afternoon visit. Glad we stopped by.

Chapoquoit Beach, also known as "Chappy," is a picturesque stretch of shoreline along Buzzards Bay in West Falmouth. It offers a less crowded alternative to other Cape Cod beaches and is particularly renowned for its stunning sunsets, making it an ideal spot for a romantic evening. The beach features clear waters perfect for swimming and boasts tidal pools teeming with marine life during low tide, offering an adventurous experience for visitors.
Beautiful sand, Crystal clear water, picturesque sand dunes, and public parking. A very very nice beach, one of my favorite places on earth in fact... As I write this I'm starting to wonder if I should lie and leave a bad review in order to keep the crowds down. I might have done that but I wouldn't dare bad mouth my precious Chapoquoit. Highly recommend. 3 thumbs up 👍👍👍

Nice place! Great sunset! Small Parking lot fills up fast. Saw during the day you have to pay to park. Not really any sea shells, but lots of different rocks and quartz along the shore. Hardly any sea weed also.

If you love the ocean yet don't want to be in the rip tides of the Atlantic. This is the perfect beach for you and your family💯. I have been living in Falmouth for 4 years and this is the best swimming in town.
JumpkickMan — Google review
Great Beach it could use a little bit more sand, but as far as books it is an absolutely beautiful beach and if you enjoy waves and are a surfer beginner and forth then this is the beach for you you will certainly enjoy the ginormous waves depending on how the weather is, kids enjoy however I would be a little careful for children under five that aren’t familiar with the water or children that don’t know how to swim it’s still an ocean with an extreme undertow and current and water is nothing to be played with however I won’t preach except for how great the speeches and you should definitely check it out if your visit in Cape Cod in the West Falmouth area

If you are looking for a relaxing Beautiful beach -This is the place ! The sand is soft and very fine and I loved the natural beauty of the place. Like stepping back in time.- no frills but beautiful and relaxing.

Beautiful beach with medium size waves, fun but not too much undertow. It's also a part of a bay, so little danger of sharks like the outer Cape areas where there are seals that attract them.

The Woods Hole Historical Museum, located in a small town library, is dedicated to preserving the history of Woods Hole. It features rotating exhibits and offers diverse programs for visitors with various interests. The museum showcases artifacts that provide an overview of the area's rich heritage and local history. Additionally, it hosts a walking tour every Tuesday at 10 AM, allowing visitors to explore and learn about the culture and history of Woods Hole.
Small cute and has their own vibe museum. Maybe people think it must be big and more informative but I think you can find stuff what you like. Boat shop has some cool boats and there is a boat around the corner where kids can play in the actual boat. Play with buckets with sand.
Anna W — Google review
This place, while interesting, is woefully out of date. Way too much verbiage and not enough items of historical interest. Diorama is interesting, but takes up too much space for what little history it relates. The Docent was nice and very chatty. Boat shop is open but no one is around for explanations. General store closed. Not really enough to see or learn about without someone to explain what you are looking at.
Stephen G — Google review
Can’t visit because there is nowhere to park. No one is going to pay $60 to park to visit Woods Hole. Absolutely ridiculous.

These ladies are working hard! Such a warm and informative welcome. Thanks for your energy ❤️ Edit: almost forgot to mention the world’s second teeniest ship in a bottle. Just wow.

I enjoyed the walking tour of Woods Hole offered by the historical society. Yesterday, my mother and I attended the afternoon tour. Susan was a top notch guide. She was tremendously considerate. She began by asking us what we'd like to get out of the tour and how long we'd like to dedicate to the tour. She explained that the tour could range from 60-90 min and she'd be happy to tailor it to our time constraints. She then started out on a thoroughly researched tour, which ranged from knowledge of where the rocks in the library came from (the ice age) up till the modern features of the town, including the relationship between MBL and University of Chicago just a few years ago. The tour truly covered all range of historical eras. We found it the just right amount of detail. And, the tour moved at a great pace, not too fast, not too slow, just perfect to allow us to ask questions while continuing to learn new things ever step. Susan was so incredibly knowledgeable and kind. It's clear that she takes pride in the town and her work with the Historical Society. It was just a joy to be out walking around the beautiful village and learning so much on a lovely afternoon.

If you get on the cape don't miss this place! It has a lot of fun things to see and do. The shops and local restaurants are great as well. Falmouth Heights Beach in Falmouth, MA is a popular destination along the Nantucket Sound. It offers a picturesque setting with nearby restaurants and concessions for refreshments. The beach features park benches and a grassy area overlooking the water, providing a relaxing space to take in the surroundings. Additionally, Old Silver Beach is known for its swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, and paddleboarding opportunities with crystal-clear waters teeming with marine life.
After paying $20 for parking the prior two days at other beaches in Falmouth we were lucky enough to manage to snag meter parking at Falmouth Heights, and it was fantastic. Beautiful large beach with a great view. I like that the bathroom and food truck/cart are close. My son likes to dive for shells and found some fantastic ones. It's one of the best beaches in Falmouth.

This is a charming little beach with beautiful views of Vineyard Sound and a relaxed, family-friendly vibe. The sand is soft, and the water is usually calm and warm, making it great for a quick swim or lounging by the shore. Just a heads-up—the water gets deep fairly quickly, so it’s something to keep in mind if you're visiting with young kids or less confident swimmers. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, especially on weekends during peak season. The small lot fills up fast, and street parking is limited, so it’s definitely worth arriving earlier in the day to secure a spot. If you're staying nearby, walking or biking is a great alternative. Overall, it’s a lovely spot to spend a few hours soaking up the sun, enjoying the view, and grabbing a bite from one of the nearby restaurants or food trucks across the street.

Quiet. Friendly. Need a trowel to dig a hole for your beach umbrella? Someone on the beach has got your back. They may even lend you their beach chair. Just leave it on the beach and they'll pick it up later.

A very welcoming place with trails, a great view of Waquoit Bay, great programs, talks and guides. In a very short time with a guide, I learned so much about local fish I had not known after living here most of my life. They have an osprey nest on one chimney overlooking the bay. Just as I rounded a corner, two young osprey took off from the nest. Fascinating!

Kool little gem that I found with the family!! Nice up kept trails in the woods,,Kool fish tank,, Kool dinosaur size Horseshoe Crab and real Igloo like Tipi,, guy was really informative with lots of info. Really amazing tree/log that was burned to create a canoe. And they had a compost/garden on the side of the building. And what I thought was Kool was they had Osprey nest on the chimney with a LIVE DASH CAMERA where you can see yourself walk/drive into the Reservation. A must see for the little ones. I went with my cousin Travis and my 3 kids.

Facilities are great, and the view of the bay is nice. The trails are quite short and are missing some signs. The main building has some good activities for the kids and some exhibits on the local ecosystems. The cemetery was interesting to see a bit of local history from the 1800s.

Each summer, this esteemed company invites around 75 talented college students from across the nation to immerse themselves in an enriching educational experience.
The experience of CLOC is refreshing and gives hopes about the next generation of performers. So much talent! The venue is magical and very special. Thanks for the whole experience.

Wow! You absolutely have got to go to one of their shows. The talent of the orchestra and performers is unreal - these young people have incredible futures before them and you can experience their talents early. Our performance of Pirates of Penzance was so impressive that we bought additional tickets to return that night with others to show it off. We wish we could enjoy more of their shows this summer - if you are able to get to Falmouth, try to make it a point of getting tickets to one of their shows. The staff were very welcoming and its clearly a very cherished theater company locally and by those who work there.

I went to see the College Light Opera Company's performance of the classic "Sound of Music" and it was a fantastic performance. It's amazing how this group does so many shows over the course of the summer and performs them so well (learning all that material and not confusing it with other shows they have upcoming). The only thing is I wish there was a little better lighting in the parking area but the staff is friendly, the space cozy, and the talent superb

This is a great option for theater lovers on the Cape for the summer. The cast and pit are very talented college students, and we really enjoyed seeing each performer take on different roles across the summer. my mom and i were visiting the area and a lot of places were closed so we went to liam’s and sat at the bar. they were only serving wings and pizza so we ordered both and a couple drinks. they had gluten free pizza available which is actually crazy because a lot of places don’t have that as an option yet the cool local irish pub did?? haha we were very happy about that as my mom cannot have gluten and i will avoid it at times as well. the bartender, guy who made our food, and the young girl server were all very friendly and customer service was great. also made a good espresso martini

Went here with my wife for our Saturday date. It was the off season and it had been YEARS since we were here last so we decided to stop by to check it out again and have a pint of Smithwicks our favorite Irish ale. It was 3'oclock in the afternoon and we were able to find a couple of empty bar chairs to sit at. The atmosphere was very relaxed and casual and comparable to a few other Irish bars we've been to(Aiden's Pub in Bristol R.I. The Fastnet and Busker's in Newport R.I.) Shay, our bartender was sociable and respectful and was very attentive to all of us at the bar. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and our time there. As the time passed, we discovered that Liam Maguire's also has entertainment on various days of the week which can be found on their Facebook page. Although we were there on this visit simply to "enjoy a pint" the menu for food looked tempting. My wife and I enjoyed our visit to Liam Maguire's and we made a vow to come back again, relax, stay a little longer and enjoy some food, some entertainment and all that Liam Maguire's has to offer!

The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Ocean Science Discovery Center is a captivating destination for anyone fascinated by the mysteries of the ocean. Nestled in the charming town of Woods Hole, MA, this renowned marine research facility offers an array of public exhibits that delve into marine life, ocean exploration, and even the recovery efforts related to the Titanic. Visitors can engage with interactive displays showcasing maps and satellite imagery utilized by climate scientists to better understand our rapidly changing planet.
Very educational. Many interactive parts to the exhibits to help keep kids somewhat hands on. Definitely worth the trip. Parking in this area can be horrendous but the center has a few designated spots on the side street close to the entrance that were available. Spent about 2 hours here between the exhibits upstairs and downstairs. Nice little gift shop. Entry is free. Suggested donation is $5 but the experience is worth a lot more!

What totally almost amazing place The new interactive displays only worked ok. Actually it made them disappointing. None of the staff really had much of a clue what to do and how they worked. Nothing was intuitive Some were so far over peoples heads as to be useless: DNA screen for one. The stand on portion did not work at all. It's going to be great when they get it all working and have trained the staff properly Until then, don't bother going!

I appreciate so much about this organization, and I cannot wait to visit when I make my way toward the Eastern Seaboard - whenever that time may come. Keep it weird!

Went on two tours. Informative and good walkabout. No cost. Lucky to do the first tour from the wait list. Free. We took the free bus from Hyannis. A bit bumpy but didn't have to drive. Parking is super expensive in Woods Hole plus many cars were ticketed.
Rod R — Google review
I loved my visit to the WHOI Discovery Center & Store on Saturday. I have memories of swimming nearby at night with friends in the ocean bioluminescence. The downstairs exhibit had fantastic interactive displays of twilight ocean life. And most excitingly, there was a fully interactive light up display on the wall about eDNA and ocean fish. I could touch a mystery color dot marine animal and the color DNA bars in a huge display on the wall would assemble into the DNA code for the dot I selected and name the fish. Fantastic! Upstairs I shopped and found a small box of fossil shark teeth and a card showcasing the retired submersible ALVIN, which was also an exhibit downstairs. I completely enjoyed myself and look forward to returning with family soon.

Cape Cod Children's Museum, located in Mashpee, is a unique destination designed entirely for children. Established in 1990 by a group of moms and now run by a nonprofit organization, the museum offers over 20 interactive play-and-learn exhibits tailored for children aged 6 months to 8 years. The large indoor space features hands-on exhibits such as a climbable pirate ship, a play area for younger visitors, a puppet theater, and even a planetarium.
I took my 2 year old son here and we had a great time. There are so many fun activities: train, treehouse with tools, pirate ship, music area, vet clinic, restaurant, ball pool, fishing, light table, scarf tubes, gear wall, submarine, fishing, balance beams and a special area just for younger babies. Easily accessible bathrooms including family bathrooms. They have a nice gift shop with great toys. Would happily come here again and again. Particularly great for the winter months. Highly recommend!

This place is fun and cute with lots to do. Definitely recommend. Took stars away because I think charging for adults is odd. At least I wouldn't expect to pay as much as the kids where we clearly aren't playing anything. Reply- as I said I don't expect to pay as much as a child.. just like at the movies.. mini golf.. and all your examples.. there are kid prices and adult prices. There are lots of indoor play places that don't charge adults such a learning express..Cowabunga's.. ultimate playground in NH. Just a thought..

Susie S — Google review
Place is definitely geared for aged 0-3. $15 dollars per person, including adults. I personally think the adults should be charged less because we aren’t there for entertainment. My son is 5 and he had an okay time. He liked the pirate ship and submarine The steam lab was not open, which he was looking forward to at the time. Currently they are upgrading their bathrooms so there are none inside the facility, just 1 portapotty.
Katrina T — Google review
If you’re looking to entertain your kid for less than an hour and don’t mind paying an overpriced admission, this place might do the trick. But overall, it’s not worth it—especially for children over the age of 5. The exhibits feel dated, and there’s very little to engage older or more active kids. For what they charge, you’d expect more variety, better upkeep, and a longer-lasting experience. There are far better indoor options on the Cape if you’re looking for value and fun.
Hilary M — Google review
We had a great visit and the staff were very nice to us. While the main playroom is geared towards smaller children, the S.T.E.A.M. room was fun for kids up through age 12. There were many fun crafts and educational games in there.

I enjoyed walking the trails here last weekend. Tall grassy fields with swallows and bluebird houses scattered throughout. There were so many birds flying around. They have a shed that is specifically for barn swallows but unfortunately your not able to go in or see the nests they build. There is decent amount of trails here. Some that lead around a nice pond and to a vernal pool. They also have some picnic tables where you can sit and have lunch

I came here for the sunsets and wasn’t disappointed. I came with the family and also without the kids. White sand beach, mostly clear water (that’s in the 70’s) that felt great if you’re used to cold water like me. There’s small fishes that swim alongside you and signs of seals. Bristol Beach is a charming mid-sized recreational spot that perfectly balances relaxation and fun. Situated conveniently near the Shining Sea Bikeway and downtown Falmouth, this beach boasts stunning views of Falmouth Heights and Vineyard Sound. With modest waves ideal for families, it features small stone jetties that add to its coastal charm. The beach is known for its spacious parking lot, making access easy for visitors.
Great beach for shells! The two times I have been here you are literally walking on piles of slipper shells. Bristol Beach is a connection to Falmouth Heights Beach and Maravista Beach. So if you are meeting a friend and you cant find each other, one of you may be in the wrong parking lot!

Beach was clean and beautiful. It's a bit Rocky going into the water but once in was very nice. The water was warm and great for swimming and enjoying. The beach only has parking for residents or if you buy a sticker; we we're close enough to drop off and walk. Only main issue is they don't have bathroom facilities or food just porta-potties (yuck)!

Great local beach for Falmouth residents. Good parking. LIfeguard on duty until 4:30 p.m. EST. Thoroughly enjoyed visiting it with my Aunt who resides here. Clean beach with nice people and calm waters.

Nice smallish beach with lifeguards. Copious amounts of slipper shells here so bring water shoes. Surf levels are low due to offshore islands. Good for kids. Can explore critters in the adjoining pond as well

Beach
Wood Neck Beach in Falmouth, MA is a popular destination offering stunning water views and a vibrant natural environment. The beach features gentle currents, tide pools, and salt marsh coastal landscapes. Visitors can enjoy activities such as wading, boogie boarding, and swimming. During the summer season, lifeguards are on duty while restrooms and showers are available for convenience. Access to the parking lot requires stickers in the summer months but not during other times of the year.
Wood Neck is a gem. The tidal action is especially fun because the beach runs right into the marsh via a tidal creek, so there is always a “lazy river” to play in. Lots of bunker, minnows, and various crabs are back there. It is a sand and shell beach, and the creek is also very shell-y. Beach shoes can help if your “summer feet” aren’t up to spec!

Nestled in the serene woods of Falmouth, MA, Jacks Restaurant & Bar is a charming American bistro that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This cozy spot specializes in classic fare, including delectable pizzas and juicy steaks that cater to all tastes. The inviting ambiance makes it an ideal place for gatherings with friends or family. While it may be tucked away on Gifford Street near the popular Coonamessett wedding venue, its warm atmosphere and local charm draw visitors in.
Jacks is my favorite bar pizza on the Cape or really anywhere for that matter. Jack is a really nice guy and he’s been in the business and very successful for many years. He used to run Papa Gino’s and Paul’s (back when both were much better) and now has his own place and the pizza and food is fantastic. My favorite is bacon and pineapple, sometimes I will add jalepeno. It’s really crispy and very consistent. They also have a nice bar and live music. The staff is friendly. Great place I would highly recommend.
Brash B — Google review
Barstool pizza review on TikTok was an 8. The first bite was an 8, the last bite was a 4. The restaurant design is the worst of all worlds for subtle or sober social interactions. Alcohol-fueled, boisterous and red-faced bar-flies have the advantage of being able to scream directly into the ears of their friends while those in the dining area simply cannot bridge the acoustic chasm presented by the distance of a table. Quiet couples and groups did their best to pantomime while otherwise sitting isolated and silent. The pizza was fine. We had three and they are easy to share. The Caesar salad was served with that not quite wilted but 8 hours too long in the fridge romaine- you know the type where it almost looks just a bit pale, but as you bite into it, the lettuce gives can’t muster a crunch at the end of mastication way that says, “thank god you ate me before I died completely.” The wings were completely fine but the sauces and dressings are not all from scratch. The server was manic but his voice was so well supported by his diaphragm, we could make out his name. He flitted around the room screaming into retirees ears as they nodded in vague acknowledgement of the first coherent sentences they had heard since being seated. We all liked the food well enough. I’m not going back and a single bite just outside the door or take-out would have been enough.

The cutest little place, but not so little once you're inside. Great food everything was good, the pizza, burger, the special and the chef prepared chicken with the salmon sides just for me. Best restaurant on the USA tour so far.
Dögg M — Google review
We frequent Jack’s. Excellent bar-style pizza! Very good salmon & Rueben. Good specials. Never had a bad meal at Jack’s. Live music on the weekends that can make it seem very loud so not great for conversation but some of the music is very good. Jack & staff always hustling. Some of hostesses could use a little coaching. Seem a little frantic/disorganized in how they take orders, greet people, process take out etc. very good bar set-up and attentive bar tenders
Thomas ( — Google review
After the Dave Portnoy pizza review I decided to give this place a try. It's so hard to find good pizza on the Cape! Got the pizza takeout and when I went to pick it up it wasn't ready yet despite the fact that I was there around the time I was told it would be ready by. I had to wait quite a while for it. Even though it was fresh out of the over, since I live about 20 minutes away it was cold by the time I got it home. Everyone enjoyed it though. So tonight, we decided to try Jack's again this time in the restaurant. That was a MAJOR mistake. I walked in with two hungry kids in tow to find there was a 30-40 minute wait. Not a big deal! Well, twenty minutes later it didn't seem like they'd seated anyone yet and my kids were pretty miserable. So, I ordered an app at the bar. THIRTY minutes after that, I'm still waiting for my app. So, I checked in with the bartender and the kitchen never made it. The bartender got the order going and comped the app for me which was really nice. About 15 minutes later, I had my app. Now, I've been at the restaurant for an hour and I have a free app and no table even though I was told 30-40 minutes. I saw Jack the owner and mentioned to him that I had a problem with my app and that the wait for a table was quite long and I had been given a grossly inaccurate wait estimate and all I got was repeated statements of "it's crazy tonight!" Not super helpful or comforting. Well, about 1 hour and 20 minutes after our arrival we were finally seated. Nearly triple the wait time estimate we got when we arrived and had we known it would be this long we never would have stayed. Once we sat down, the band in the bar area started playing and I could barely hear myself think. They were good and I loved the music they were playing but the volume was way too loud for a restaurant. The waitress who served us was super nice and stayed on top of things. The kitchen is an absolute mess though. Both my kids ordered burgers and asked for bacon on them. The kitchen forgot the bacon not one burger but on both. Plus, it took a good 30+ minutes for the four meals we ordered. Normally, I'd be happy to order a salad or an app first. However by the time we were seated and with all the noise from the band, I just wanted to eat and get out of dodge. The food was good and not great. The pizza was definitely better hot and was probably the best thing anyone ordered. While the waitress was great and tried to get our food to us as quickly as possible it would have been nice to have gotten an apology from Jack instead of "it's a crazy night!" several times. Most well run restaurants would also comp an entree or give some kind of discount in this situation to apologize as well and that really didn't happen either. Long story short, if you want to try out Jack's definitely get the pizza. Probably come on a weeknight when it's less busy and maybe bring walkie talkies so you can communicate with your tablemates over the music too. I almost never review a restaurant or a small business in a negative manner. However, this was such an awful experience and my kids were so miserable enduring it that I felt compelled to warn other people who might not be as patient as I am. I probably should have seen this coming as they didn't even have my simple takeout pizza order ready on time during my first visit.
Michael C — Google review
We ordered pizza, and it was better than expected. We had been craving pizza, but honestly, many of the nearby places' pictures didn't look appetizing to us. Jack's was fantastic. We ordered 2 pizzas to share between the both of us. The other dishes being served around us looked great, too! It was a busy night, we were seated fast, not the most prompt service but friendly. We parked in the front but there is parking on the side, too.
Amy S — Google review
We were pressed to find a dining spot in the early evening on Saturday. Jack’s has a call ahead option, which got us a table in 15 mins ., after arriving. We shared a bowl of clam chowder as an appetizer. It was pretty good, but could have used more clams. My entree was mussels, which had a bitter taste, rather than a sweet “finish”. Not sure why?? My guest had scallops. She indicated they were very bland, lacking much flavor. The waiter was apparently new and had to consult the kitchen to address our questions.
Chris D — Google review
Some areas are too loud for conversation when it get full. But it's the best bar pie style pizza I've ever had. I prefer the plain cheese over ones with toppings, otherwise it gets too salty for my palate. In the years we've been coming here I've only managed to convince myself to try something else off the menu 4 times!

Beebe Woods is a historic forest spanning 400 acres, offering dog-friendly walking trails and two ponds for swimming. The area showcases evidence of glacial activity with massive boulders, irregular hills, and kettle hole ponds. It's a peaceful spot for bird watching, with sightings of various bird species including cardinals, nuthatches, warblers, woodpeckers, and more.
When visiting Highfield Hall and Gatden take a walk to see all the gardens and trails through the Beebe woods. Beautiful place to take a nice walk and get outside. Bike are allowed om the trail in the woods. Definitely recommend.

Great place … I made it to the pond with the rope swings and well both me and the kids enjoyed every moment… water was warm and welcoming… trails aren’t marked to well but definitely easy to navigate
Jesse C — Google review
This is a beautiful area to walk or hike. The maps are slightly difficult to follow and as a tourist, was hard to find the correct trails. I recommend when you find a map, to take a photo of it on your phone so you follow your intended route. Quite a few people on the trail, so if you startle easily, be prepared to encounter other runners, walkers and bikers.
Arielle Y — Google review
This is a great trail run and good for longer all day hikes toward the shore, but it honestly needs a few "THIS WAY BACK" signs at key splits. I did 10k or 6.2 miles on these trails and budgeted an appropriate amount of time with margin before sundown. I went 20 minutes out and 35-40 min back. Somehow I overshot the main return to beachhead and had a he'll of a time tick tock during the blue hour. Fortunately my skills and fitness are such that I made it back, having gotten off the trail onto main roads several minutes earlier before dark trails. Another epic trail run workout for the books which is the unplanned Beebe Woods 10k, or as I call it, simply the Beebes.

Ryan Family Amusements is a local chain offering a wide range of arcade games and party packages, with most locations also featuring bowling alleys. The Cape locations in Buzzards Bay and South Yarmouth are popular spots where both adults and kids can be seen enjoying the lanes or the arcade. At The Lanes Bowl & Bistro in Mashpee Commons, visitors can enjoy not only bowling but also a renowned bistro.
Jessica and Hayley did an AMAZING job in setting up and serving the Dom Perignon at our wedding reception. They helped set up a projector and screen, provided lots of health and beauty products in the bathrooms for our guests, decorated the bowling alley and arcade, provided arcade cards for everybody, and coordinated with the caterers, DJ, photographer, florist, and bakery to ensure a very smooth wedding reception. Everything went so perfectly and we couldn’t have found a better venue for a reception for 45 people. Thank you so much, Ryan Family Amusements of Falmouth!

Always have a great time at Ryans. The staff were really helpful and they helped us figure out the best plan for the arcade cards. We got quite a deal thanks to the staff and we were allowed to divide the money for the arcade onto three different playing cards to split between the kids!

This is a cool thing to check out! If you're an out-of-towner, you might not have ever heard of candlepin bowling. It's primarily a New England thing. But the thing is, it's really fun! And challenging! And the whole family can play. Definitely check this out for a fun family/group activity and don't be intimidated if you've never done it before. Try it! I bet you'll have a great time!

Fun for a rainy day, As long as all the games are working. It's a bit over priced. I hate spending $30 on games and leaving with a ring pop and a Whoopi cushion for my kids. The shoe rentals are a bit high too. It's fun when you can't hit the beach, or the movies are playing something lame. But it's a second or third option at best.
David R — Google review
We bowled for one hour and the lane froze 5 times and it was skipping players and adding turns to other players. They finally moved us to another lane but Then charged us the full time even though it wasn’t working half the times and we had to wait everytime for the attendant to fix. So $55 to play a broken bowling lane. Waste. All the kid “games” are gambling games to just get tickets and most are $.80 just to pull that lever. U pull a lever and that’s it. Not even 3 minutes of fun. No fun games for the kids. I grew up playing here and it’s gone down hill. We won’t be back
Jessica V — Google review
One of the workers pissed me off her name was Stephanie and she was drunk. She was tipsy and didn't know what she was doing. I'm not trying to start any drama. She couldn't even grab a troll from off the rack with the grabber. I told her she was charging the wrong items to the wrong card but she would not listen. She said I love you to my friends and she said I was being stubborn if I didn't like games I would not come back again. She should be fired or work earlier hours so she can't be drunk again. The worker Teddy was very helpful to Stephanie and he should be given a raise. The last time I came teddy helped me and he was very up beat and made me and my sister laugh. Thank you.

Sports complex
Falmouth Commodores offers a fun and wholesome way to spend an evening in Falmouth. The level of play is above college baseball, with many players recruited to the major leagues. The field has seen recent improvements, making it a more enjoyable experience for spectators. You can bring your own food or purchase from the concession stand, and enjoy watching the game from the stands or adjacent hillsides. It's a family-friendly environment with college-aged players from around the country.
The Falmouth Commodores play in the Cape Cod Baseball League. It's for college players, many using wooden bats for the first time. MLB scouts are usually in attendance, looking for talent for their parent club to draft. The players work hard, but after the game, they usually sign autographs and talk with the fans. The staff are like the players, most are college interns looking to see if a career in baseball is for them. The park itself got serious upgrades in 2022. They have a merch store and a decent variety of concessions. Lots of bleacher seating, although many families bring lawn chairs or blankets and sit on the grass. Admission is free, but they take donations, which are crucial to keeping the club operational as they get no money from the MLB. Very friendly crowd, come, you'll have a great time!

Awesome family night out! We had a blast at the Falmouth Commodores game—great baseball, fun atmosphere, and super family-friendly. This is a summer must-do and now a family tradition. The players and coaches do a great job making the camp inclusive and fun. My son’s favorite part is feeling like a part of the team getting to go into the dug out, being recognized at the games by the players passing by, and getting autographs. The team really makes this a special experience. We look forward to next year!

I can’t say enough good things about the youth clinics hosted by the Commodores! The coaches players provided great instruction while making sure that everyone was having fun. Falmouth Village Green is a vibrant hub of activity, especially during the holiday season. Every Sunday at noon, it comes alive with the annual Falmouth Christmas Parade, showcasing an array of decorated floats, lively animals, and festive characters that march down Route 28. This beloved tradition marks the largest holiday parade in Southeastern Massachusetts. Beyond parades, Falmouth Village Green serves as a gathering spot for various events throughout the year—think rallies, walkathons, and community celebrations.
This triangular village green affords a good view of First Congregational Church of Falmouth and the oldest bank building in Falmouth. A time capsule from the 1976 American Bicentennial is embedded in the village green with a note to open in November 2076; apparently, the embedding took place a few months late.
