Hostel
Hotel
Geneva Hostel offers simple and low-key rooms and dorms, along with a restaurant, complimentary breakfast, and a transport card. Located in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, Geneva is known for its international ambiance due to its large expatriate population representing nearly 200 nationalities. The city is home to various international organizations and multinational companies. While Geneva exudes peace and tranquility, it also offers a rich cultural experience.
Great hostel located within walking distance to the train station. Quiet and you can see the lake from your dorm window. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Complimentary breakfast was great - large selection and plenty of spots to sit at. Reception was friendly and professional, and was flexible and understanding when I asked to move to a different room. Thank you for a great place to stay
Wendy — Google review
I think this was probably the worst experience I have ever had in a hostel. At first it looked very nice, but everything started going wrong as soon as I walked into the reception. Check-in was at 15:00, and I arrived at 14:45. I had paid for a city taxi, they registered me, and told me I would get the room key in about 15 minutes and that I should wait. Even though I was sitting right there, they completely forgot about me. The staff were in a small room behind the reception talking, and until I went up to them myself at 15:30 to remind them about the room key, they had not remembered me at all. I was sitting there tired after traveling with my luggage, which was very frustrating. It is also obvious that they do not have enough staff at the reception, and this affects the whole experience. They also did not say anything about breakfast, and when I asked, they replied very rudely, saying that everything was written on the receipt. The tone and attitude of the staff made it a very unpleasant moment. As for the room, keep in mind that you have to pick up your bedding from reception and make your own bed. When you leave, you also have to strip the bed and bring the bedding back to reception. This is very strange because in all the hostels I have stayed in, I have never seen anything like this. It is clear that the hostel is cutting costs on room service, which is disappointing since the room is already quite expensive for a hostel. Another problem is that the hostel allows check-ins late in the evening, even after 23:00. Guests who arrived around midnight came into the room while everyone was sleeping. They were loud, turned on the lights to put bedding on their beds, and banged the lockers while storing their bags. They woke up many of us in the room. The floor in the room is extremely creaky when someone walks, the windows are poor quality and you can hear construction noise from outside all night. The room door does not close automatically, so if someone leaves and forgets to pull it shut, you might end up sleeping with an open door. There is also a gap under the door, so the hallway light shines directly into the room, which made it even harder to sleep after a long and tiring day. The beds do not have a small shelf to place your phone, earphones, or anything else safely. I had to keep my phone and earphones under my pillow all night. The sinks in the bathrooms and rooms were dirty and full of hair, looking like nobody had cleaned them for a long time. The toilets were also stained. As for dinner, the food was fine, but you will not find any napkins in the restaurant area to clean your hands after eating. Because of all this, I really would not recommend staying at this hostel. You would expect much better, especially in Switzerland, and guests should never have to deal with so many issues.
Luca M — Google review
Great location, and honestly the best hostel I ve stayed at. The beds were not the most comfortable, but not too bad. The only downside is that they only have one toilet & one shower per floor, but I was lucky enough to not have to wait at any point. The breakfast was super diverse and yummy!
Jaqueline — Google review
Great location, within walking distance from the train station and only 7 minutes to the lake. The property provides a Geneva transport card, even valid for the little yellow boats—very convenient! Breakfast is basic, but the multiple coffee machines are definitely a plus.
Tan J — Google review
As to be expected with Swiss hostels, they have put alot into making sure the details are taken care of. The rooms are well set up, each bed has its own power for devices, the staff is friendly, and there is storage for my bike. One thing I would suggest to make things even better, is to eliminate the cold cuts in the breakfast fare, and replace with something more healthy like eggs. Cold cuts are on the “bad list” because they generally contain much fat, salt, sugar, preservatives, etc..
Peter L — Google review
I enjoyed my stay and the breakfast was great. The staff was great and answered all my questions. I was a bit hesitant before booking due to all the negative comments which if you analyze you can see that it was mostly people complaining about other guests which is completely out of the hostel's hands to control. In my case I was so tired that I did not notice any noisy guests and pretty sure there was not any (but I'm sure that my room was quiet all night).
Gonzalo R — Google review
I had a great stay at Geneva Hostel. The staff was super nice and willing to help out. It is very well located, only 15 minute walk to the main train station, 3 minutes away from the tram and next to the lake. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean. Having personal lockers to keep everything safe was great. Breakfast is really good aswell. I would highly recommend, especially for solo travellers!

Great hostel to stay at. Receptionists were very kind and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. The breakfast was nice as well. Location was good, near a bus stop and close to the lake. Great value for money, would recommend!

Hostel
City Hostel Geneva offers budget-friendly accommodation in private rooms with shared bathrooms or single beds in single-sex dormitory rooms. The hostel features a guest kitchen, game room, and laundry facilities. The open-plan lobby has an industrial vibe, and the four-bedrooms on the first floor boast spacious terraces. Conveniently located near public transport and grocery stores, the hostel provides clean rooms with washbasins, mirrors, and lockers.
Visiting geneva for a short meeting found a hostel with reasonable rate and basic but practical set up. Booked a private single room without tv but with sink. T/B and shower stalls are shared and clean all the time. Wifi easy to connect and strong enough for vvoip. Bed was comfy,no a/c but table fan kept the room cool at night. Elevator for 4 floors but got a 1st floor room which was easy w/o using elevator. Ground floor dining indoor and small open air patio linked to a common kitchen. Basement washer/dryer for 9 chf per load were useful amenities. Location is about 3- 4 blocks from gare cornavin and a line 15 metro stop a few meters away. Coop, denner, migros and Lidl are 1-2 blocks away. All in all a great value for money in hotel- expensive Geneva!

I paid for a 3-night stay but was only able to stay for one night. The next morning, I left the hostel and spent the day out. When I returned, I found my bed completely messed up and a soaking wet towel on it. I went to reception to report the situation, as I found it extremely disrespectful that someone had tampered with my belongings. It was disgusting to see a wet towel, which clearly wasn’t mine, left on my bed. Who knows what had been done with it or how dirty it was. The receptionist simply told me to put the used towel in a basket and said there was nothing they could do. They didn’t offer to change the sheets, or to provide an alternative room or bed. Naturally, I was not feeling safe or clean enough to stay in that room anymore, I had to leave and find other accommodation. They refused to address the situation with the other guest and also denied any refund for the nights I paid for but couldn’t use. Terrible service, terrible hostel, and terrible hygiene! I absolutely do not recommend it!
Damila C — Google review
Front desk is really serious and I find their souvenirs a bit expensive. The rooms are nice, I stayed in a 3 bed dorm and there's a private light and usb for your bed. It would be nice to have some privacy curtains. I spent one night here and I think that's enough to see everything to see in Geneva.
Linda G — Google review
Cheap for Geneva but still very expensive for an hostel and a bad nights sleep. No air con which left the room very warm. Curtains are transparent see through so don't actually keep any light out and the shutters on the windows don't extend all the way up to let more air in resulting in all the traffic noise outside keeping you awake as well as the room sun pouring in at 5am. Bed was comfy but the pillows aren't great, left me with a very sore neck. Was shown as the last cheapest bed in the hostel when I booked but it turns out there was another spare bed in the room with no one in it. Showers and toilets are kept fairly clean and the water is warm and powerful. Kitchen was great for cooking food. Checking in and out very easy and the lockers are very large for my big suitcase which was great. Would only recommend if you are doing 1 night stay on a super tight budget and don't mind a terrible sleep.
Crossvisuals — Google review
Absolutely amazing stay there. Clean rooms, friendly staff and roommates, plus it's in a really nice district near the lake, grocery stores and the train station. Will definitely come again!
Michael H — Google review
The only good thing about it is the location but the rooms aren't clean at all and they smell so bad. It is my first time in hostel and it was a bad experience
Abdulrazak Z — Google review
This hotel saved me because I was stranded in Geneva and they took me in. The room wasn't too well isolated, so I heard everything that happened outside, but that's about the only thing I can complain about.

Hostel
Nestled in the vibrant Charmilles district, the MEININGER Hotel Genève Centre Charmilles offers a delightful blend of comfort and convenience. This contemporary hotel features streamlined dorms and private rooms, making it an ideal choice for travelers seeking affordable luxury. With amenities like a bar, gym, and kitchen available for guests, you can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while preparing your own meals or unwinding after a day of exploration.
Our three nights at MEININGER Hotel Genève Centre Charmilles were brilliant! This hotel is spotlessly clean, stylish, and super comfy. Its location is perfect—right near Geneva's city center with a mall across the street for anything you need. Plenty of good coffee and bar spots are nearby, and the hotel's lobby bar is a nice, relaxed option. Pro tip: Book parking early as it fills up fast! The free public transport pass was a total lifesaver. We zipped around Geneva on buses, trams, and even enjoyed fantastic boat rides on Lake Geneva, hopping off at four different spots for amazing views. Fantastic value and unbeatable access to Geneva. Definitely recommend!
Faiz M — Google review
This is a youth hostel, with a kitchen next to the front desk that has two stoves and everything you need for dining. Everyone is very polite, but since the guests come from all over, they mostly cook and eat on their own, not really communicating much. The storage room key is quite interesting — I really like it. The color scheme of the bathroom in the room is very modern; I’m noting it down so I can use the same design for my own home in the future, haha.
Stephon C — Google review
First time staying in a MEININGER and had a great experience. Staff were excellent, rooms and beds very comfortable, even include towels for a dorm room. Will definitely stay again! Only couple of slight annoying issues (at least for the shared dorms) were: -Lack of a sink in the toilet room (only there was a sink in shower room) -for the electricity to work a keycard needed to be inserted and if the person whose keycard being used left then the power/lights went off even if you were in the shower etc.! I understand intention is to prevent lights being left on needlessly but think a better solution is needed for dorm rooms..
Ryan — Google review
Very nice and modern hotel, we took a private room since we didn’t feel like sharing. The room was nice and clean, we had enough space aswell. The hotel also offers bagage lockers, which were very handy and not too expensive. It nice that you can use the kitchen, in case you wanna make a meal yourself. Further, there is also a work area, game room, laundry room and a bar. Had a pleasant stay and would definitely come back if I was in the area again.
Cam — Google review
We stayed for two nights at MEININGER Hotel Genève Centre Charmilles, and it was a great experience. The hotel was very clean, modern, and comfortable. It’s conveniently located close to Geneva’s city center, with a shopping mall just across the street—perfect for picking up any essentials. There are also a few good coffee shops and bars nearby, making it easy to relax or grab a quick bite. The hotel itself has a cozy lobby bar with a limited but nice selection of drinks. One important tip: be sure to book parking in advance, as the on-site parking is limited and can fill up quickly. A big plus of staying here was receiving the free public transportation pass, which allowed us to explore the city easily. This included buses, trams, and even boats on Lake Geneva. The boat ride was a fun bonus—you can hop on and off at four different locations around the lake and enjoy beautiful views of the city. Overall, a great value stay with excellent access to everything Geneva has to offer. Would definitely recommend!
Vipul P — Google review
What a great place. Easy booking, close to airport (we missed a connection and had to stay overnight) everything was quick, easy, the staff was amazing, polite, professional, cheerful. Rooms were comfortable and well designed. Serves breakfast and drinks, even has a little play area for kids. Highly recommend.
Melchior S — Google review
We booked a whole room, which was well organized and sufficient. At the time of our stay, the city provided free transit passes for the length of our stay. We used this extensively, including to easily reach the hotel. The staff were very kind and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Erin M — Google review
I just want to confirm my initial assessment: a very youthful atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, spotlessly clean rooms, dining and reception areas, and a very convenient location regarding transfer to and from the airport and the old town due to easy access to buses. I highly recommend it!

Montbrillant is a relaxed hotel conveniently located near Geneva's main train station, making it an ideal choice for travelers arriving or departing by train. The nearby tram stops provide easy access to explore the city, and there are various dining options in close proximity. While some guests found the rooms on the smaller side, they appreciated the amenities such as Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and minifridges. The staff received praise for their helpfulness and friendliness.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Montbrillant. The location is excellent, with easy access to the train station and the city, making it very convenient for exploring Geneva. The rooms were comfortable and well-kept, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm and welcoming. A special mention goes to Alan at the reception — he was exceptionally helpful throughout our stay. From check-in to providing local recommendations, he went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. His professionalism and friendly attitude really made our experience even better. Highly recommend Hotel Montbrillant, especially if you appreciate great service and convenience.

which is conveniently right next to the train station. The room has a safe, robe, refrigerator and a Cerruti coffee maker. However they are not very generous providing only one coffee pod and one tea bag. Having tea in an expresso cup wasn't very convenient, either. The shower is very good. If you use conditioner bring your own as it's not provided. There is an electronic mirror that makes an annoying sound when the bathroom light is turned on. There is a timer display on the mirror but I never figured out its purpose and there is no instructions about it. Perhaps it prevents the mirror from fogging up when one showers?? Most of the previous reviews I saw didn't care for the breakfast so I skipped it. All in all I was happy with my stay here and would recommend it. They provide a pass for free transport in Geneva (as most hotels do)
Gary B — Google review
Great location very near to the main railway station and a short bus ride to the airport. Staff were fine and the only slight issue was the room looked a little tired and the coffee maker didn't heat up the water.....it just came out tepid! Room 14 by the way.
Dave C — Google review
Unfortunately this wasn’t the best experience being my first holiday also the area was certainly ideal for transport being next to the train station and trams But the smell of waste was a regular occurrence in the mornings Breakfast was ok but very limited so would recommend you ate out in the mornings than pay for breakfast within your accommodation My room unfortunately backed off to the air com unit at the back of the building were I hadn’t got much sleep throughout my stay spent most of my time out of the hotel the disturbance of the generator sound impacted the amount of sleep I got which was a shame I spoke with the holiday rep from when I booked and unfortunately had been informed they wish not to compensate or take any action I also understand there is not much that can be taken but could of offered a discount on my next visit this has definitely considered me from the response to use another provider when I plan to go back next year in the summer Staff were very polite in the encounters I did have though

Location was perfect. Reception staff are very polite and helpful. Rooms nice and clean but older styled. Breakfast was a let down. Day 2 there was no bacon. Day 3 no bacon, some limp sausages, no plates, tables not cleared, no pastries, hot water for tea luke warm. Overall though thr location next to the station was a win win.
Paul B — Google review
Just around the corner from central train station Geneva, service is great, elevator is tiny, received 2 free water bottles, not happened in Swetzerland during our trip. Room is clean, edequate.
Dream H — Google review
We just arrived at the hotel, having requested an early check-in. At the front desk, we were unfortunately met by a very unfriendly blonde woman, who snapped at us whenever we asked a question. At one point she even said, “I cannot call him and ask him to leave,” and added, “you can check my screen if you want,” which came across as unnecessarily rude. The interaction left us feeling quite unwelcome, when all that was needed was a polite explanation that the room wasn’t ready.
Simmran K — Google review
It’s definitely not a 4 star hotel, at best it’s 2 stars. The room was old and tired, with a bad odor. The walls were dirty, there was constant noise from the street, and parking was problematic, so avoid this hotel if you have a car. Overall, a really bad experience.

Fountain
The Jet d'Eau de Genève is an iconic fountain located on Lake Geneva in the downtown area, and it's a must-see attraction. This stunning landmark pumps half a cubic meter of water per second, shooting it 140 meters into the air. Originally serving as a safety valve for hydraulics generated by the Rhone River, it has become a symbol of Geneva. Visitors from around the world are drawn to its spectacular views and impressive display of water.
Jet d’Eau is not just a fountain — it’s an experience! 💦 The moment you see that powerful stream of water rising high into the sky, you feel something different… something magical. Located in the heart of Geneva, with the lake and mountains in the background, the view is simply breathtaking. It’s one of those places that stays in your memory forever. If you’re traveling to Switzerland, Geneva is a must, and Jet d’Eau is a stop you can’t miss! 🇨🇭✨
Maiada M — Google review
The Jet d’Eau in Geneva is absolutely breathtaking and one of the most iconic landmarks in Switzerland. Watching the fountain shoot up to 140 meters high is a mesmerizing experience, especially when the sunlight hits the water and creates a beautiful rainbow across the mist — it feels magical and unforgettable. The atmosphere around the lake is peaceful yet full of life, with people walking, cycling, and enjoying the fresh air. The sound of the water combined with the gentle breeze makes it the perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of Geneva. What I loved the most was standing close enough to feel the cool spray of the fountain while watching the rainbow appear — it’s like nature and the city coming together in harmony. Whether during the day with the sparkling sunlight or in the evening when the city lights reflect on the water, the Jet d’Eau never loses its charm. Truly, visiting this fountain is not just about seeing a monument, but about experiencing the soul of Geneva itself. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the city!
Abdulaziz S — Google review
The Jet d’Eau in Geneva was a bit of a disappointment this time — it wasn’t operating during the two days we visited. Sharing this so future visitors know it can happen occasionally. It looked like the city was busy preparing for the Christmas bazaar along the promenade, so perhaps the fountain was under maintenance or seasonal preparation. Other than that, Lake Geneva was as beautiful and peaceful as always. 🌊
Margarita S — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous and soothing experience. One can walk, run, swim or sit in peace. A vibrant yet peaceful place in the heart of the city. Safe for tourists and is a must go!
Saurabh A — Google review
Jet d’Eau de Genève is an iconic water fountain in Geneva and one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. It shoots water up to 140 meters (460 feet) high, and can be seen from many points around Lake Geneva (Lac Léman)—including Bains des Pâquis, Pont du Mont-Blanc, and of course from the pier right next to the fountain itself. Walking all the way out along the jetty to stand close to the fountain can certainly be an interesting experience. However, to be honest, it was slightly underwhelming. The Jet d’Eau is not originally a scenic attraction; in fact, it was first created in 1886 as a safety valve to release excess water pressure from Geneva’s hydraulic power network. Because the powerful water plume looked striking against the lake and mountains, it eventually became a symbol of the city and was later moved to its current location and preserved as a landmark. Apart from its impressive height and power, the fountain itself does not offer much in terms of additional features or storytelling. Still, the walk along the pier leading to the fountain and the views along Lake Geneva are undeniably pleasant and worth enjoying—especially on a calm day when the sky is clear and the Alps are visible in the distance.
Sweet K — Google review
Of course, a visit to Geneva wouldn’t be complete without seeing the famous Jet d’Eau! This iconic landmark is easy to access — you can get there either by walking or taking the bus. Parking nearby can be a bit tricky to find (well, it is Switzerland after all!). If you enjoy feeding ducks, swans, or birds, keep in mind that it’s actually illegal to do so here. Just relax and enjoy the beautiful view instead. 😊
Desi M — Google review
The Jet d’Eau is one of Geneva’s most iconic landmarks — a powerful water fountain that shoots an impressive 140 metres into the air from the edge of Lake Geneva. Originally installed in 1886 as a safety valve for a hydraulic power network, it became a permanent feature — and a symbol of the city — by 1891. Today, it stands as a proud emblem of Geneva’s spirit and engineering prowess. Visiting the Jet d’Eau is a must for anyone in the city. You can walk right up to it along the walkway, but be warned: you’re guaranteed to get wet! For the best views, try watching it from the Jardin Anglais, or hop aboard one of the mouettes, the small yellow water taxis that cross the lake — they offer fantastic photo opportunities from the water. Whether you see it up close or admire it from afar, the Jet d’Eau is a dazzling, unmissable part of Geneva’s charm and skyline.
Metal M — Google review
Jet d'Eau is the symbol of Geneva. The world famous Geneva jet fountain. You can take a picture from the promenade and if it is a sunny day you can also see the rainbow with fountain as seen in my pics. You can come close to the fountain through walkway and stand next to the base of jet fountain without getting wet as fountain is placed accordingly. You can click pictures and shoot videos here. Ideal for an evening visit. Kindly note the jet fountain is closed on Sundays. Enjoy!

Novotel Genève Centre is a modern 4-star hotel located in the heart of Geneva, just a short walk from Lake Geneva and the Cornavin Train Station. The hotel offers spacious and polished rooms, some with balconies, as well as a fitness center, spa facilities including a sauna and hammam, and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy healthy cuisine at the Gourmet bar or in their rooms. With 5 meeting rooms, it's also an ideal choice for business travelers.
My room was clean and spacious and the hotel is close to the lake, but mainly I want to review the excellent breakfast. I travel a great deal as a flight attendant and, for me, this is one of the best buffets around. A wide choice of lovely food and drink. I ate far too much but don’t regret it! The staff are charming and professional (thank you Betsy!). I look forward to my next stay.

Your concierge staff were very helpful in getting our luggage into the hotel- it was a LOT- they were also very helpful at check in and check out, assisting with obtaining a cab and getting luggage to the cab. Very friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect, and I appreciated the lovely air conditioning, bedding and large water in the fridge- just wonderful!!

I stayed at Novotel Genève Centre for two nights and overall had a good experience. I had originally booked a Superior Room but was kindly upgraded to an Executive Room for a good price offer, which I really appreciated. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and that truly made the stay pleasant. That said, the Executive Room didn’t quite meet the expectations described at the desk. It felt very similar in size to the Superior Room and the terrace didn’t offer any real view to enjoy. On the positive side, the minibar was complimentary and included Bottled water, Orange juice, Coca-Cola, and Iced tea, which was a nice touch. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the train station and the complimentary Geneva travel pass was a fantastic bonus that made getting around the city so easy. All in all, while the room fell a little short of expectations, the great staff, convenient location, and thoughtful extras made it a good stay.

The rooms were too small for the price we paid. The reception staff were rude while checking in. They expected us to pay extra for essential amenities like coffee pods refill. The other reviews mentioned about complimentary refreshments at mini bar but none was kept apart from a glass bottle of water. Breakfast was very expensive so we didn't opt for it. Location was perfect and easy to locate. All places were easy to reach by public transit at walking distance.

I stayed at Novotel Genève Centre, which is perfectly located in the heart of Geneva. The location is excellent, close to everything, and the hotel is extremely clean. However, I found the room a bit simple for a hotel of this level, especially the bed linen, which was a little disappointing. That said, the staff were truly outstanding, very professional, welcoming, and always ready to help. Their kindness and professionalism were definitely the highlight of my stay.

I visited on business and it was excellent. The staff make it special, they are so friendly and professional. But the rooms are spacious, clean, sound proof, well equipped and maintained. The gym is good and the breakfast is fantastic, you won’t want to leave. I came back immediately with my family for the weekend as I loved it here so much.

We had a wonderful stay at the Novotel Genève Centre! From the start, Daniela made our experience exceptional: she was warm, attentive, and truly went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. The hotel is comfortable, modern, and perfectly located. Thanks to Daniela and the team for such great service. We’ll definitely be back!

Subject: DANGEROUS - THEFT IN ROOM & COMPLETE STAFF NEGLIGENCE WARNING: DO NOT STAY HERE. YOUR SAFETY IS NOT THEIR PRIORITY. My locked room was entered, my personal luggage was forced open, and items were stolen. This is a complete violation of security and privacy. The real nightmare, however, was the hotel's response. When I reported the crime to reception, I was met with complete negligence. They refused to take any immediate action. They told me to "wait a day" for the "correct" staff to be available, leaving me unsafe and unsupported. I was forced to call the Geneva Police myself to file a report. After a formal police report was filed, the management's stance was even more shocking. They refused all responsibility and stated: ・They will offer NO compensation. ・They will NOT refund my stay so I can move to a safe hotel. ・They will NOT share their "internal investigation" findings. I have never felt so unsafe or so completely abandoned by a hotel. The staff did nothing to help; in fact, they were obstructive. This establishment failed in its most basic duty: to provide a secure room for a guest. ※In those pics, you can see my suitcase was open and some of my stuffs inside the suitcase got put on the table messy.

Warwick Geneva is a sophisticated hotel offering luxurious rooms and suites, along with complimentary access to the gym and a business center. The contemporary and spacious rooms provide stunning city views, adorned with modern art and stylish design elements. For an indulgent experience, guests can opt for the Penthouse Terrace Suite on the 7th floor, boasting panoramic views of Lake Geneva, Jet d'Eau, and the city skyline.
we have been quite a few times in Geneve now and this was the best stay of all. We got a marvelous room with a bed that seemed a fluffy cloud. Very good breakfast. Superb location. Lately I have been trying not to be too picky with the little details in hotel rooms because more often than not there's something not quite up to the expectations of what a 4 or 5 stars hotel should be. Well this time I am happy to report I could not find a single flaw. Will return for sure.

The location is excellent — just a few steps from the train station, which makes it perfect for travelers using public transport. The housekeeping staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and their attitude really stood out during my stay. However, the downside is the constant street noise at night. Unfortunately, it was loud enough to affect my sleep, and I wouldn’t recommend this place for light sleepers. Overall, it’s a convenient option with great staff, but the lack of sound insulation is a serious issue that should be considered before booking.

Geneva in June is lovely! First time staying at this hotel. Suggested by the family member that was with me, who had stayed here a few times. The room was comfortable - great beds and nicely appointed. Bathroom had everything you needed - fluffy towels, great products (no small bottles and I appreciate the environmentally friendly aspect), hairdryer (you have to grip the handle firmly and this triggers the hairdryer to come on). There was also an iron, ironing board, safe, mini fridge and TV with quite a few English channels. The room rate we booked came with daily breakfast, access to a gym on the same block as the hotel as well as a transit pass (good for the local public transport). This hotel is in an amazing location. Right across the street from the main station in the city. You can take trains, busses and trams just about anywhere. The station has just about everything you need - food, drinks, chocolate, pharmacy etc. The service was excellent from the reception to the restaurant.

The hotel is nice and is centrally located but it is very noisy outside at night. Also, the toiletries are very poor and I had buy shampoo and conditioner. Most importantly though, they served me raw chicken in the dining room on Saturday night. You can probably find some place better.

We rented a penthouse room with a terrace for 4 nights in October, 2025. The room smelled like sewage, which was brought to the attention of the staff. Also, the A/C was broken, as was a lamp in the room. When this was brought to the attention of the staff by night 2, they said they didn’t have any other rooms to move us to, but that they would take care of it. I was in the room when the staff came to inspect and they confirmed the smell and the lack of air conditioning. Despite this, they said that they couldn’t get a mechanical team out of fix it during our stay. After spending over $2k for a short premium stay in their hotel, I’d expect the staff to handle the situation appropriately. Unfortunately not only did they walk back their diagnosis of the A/C not working, but they only offered to upgrade my next stay with them. Not only was this a terrible finish to our European vacation, the senior management seems indifferent about making it right. Therefore, I’d strongly recommend choosing a different hotel during your stay in Geneva. I know I’ll never stay at a Warwick property again if this is how they treat their guests.

Beautiful 4 start hotel, marble throughout, very contemporary feel stepping back in the ages. Opulent as you enter, room sizes not huge but comfortable. Great staff at the front desk. Free travel ticket around city when you stay at Warwick. Amazing value, must stay when at Geneve only 4min walk from train station and city parks.
G C — Google review
This hotel can barely be called 4 Star - an embarrassment for other 4 star hotels. (And I have stayed in Geneva many times) The room was not ready on arrival despite notification of mid morning check-in, staff at reception are either inexperienced or incompetent, room unsatisfactory, over-prized room and not very good breakfast - also overprized. AND I am still chasing the return of the security deposit nine days later - which is unacceptable by any standards.
Nicola D — Google review
I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The room itself was clean, but the furniture was quite old. Taking a shower was uncomfortable, as the setup included a bathtub with only a small glass partition – water ended up all over the bathroom floor. It was also very noisy during the night, which made it hard to sleep. For the price we paid (180 CHF per night), breakfast was not included. When I mentioned at reception that this seemed unreasonable, the receptionist responded sarcastically, saying we didn’t pay that much and should “be happy” – definitely not the kind of customer service you’d expect. The hotel also advertised parking, but this was misleading. They don’t actually have their own parking; instead, you have to use a nearby option that costs 28 CHF per day, which quickly adds up. Overall, we will not return. Geneva has plenty of nicer hotels with far better service for the same or even lower price.

The Hotel Cornavin Geneve is a contemporary hotel that offers a free transport pass, as well as a sauna and fitness room. It has elegant facade and rooms come with amenities such as TVs and minibar. Recreational amenities include a sauna and fitness center.
We stayed at the Cornavin for three nights. We selected the hotel for its proximity - just a few steps from an entrance to the station and to street cars, like the #18 that takes one to CERN. It is not a new hotel but it is in excellent condition, perhaps after some recent renovation. Some of the finishes may look dated. The carpet seemed new. Our room on 7th floor was very spacious with good views. The staff were without exception most friendly and helpful. We did not take the buffet breakfast, offered at CHF23.

I am not sure I understand all the good reviews. The rooms are of course fine, but not very practical, let alone cozy or extraordinary. For this the prices are simply too high. Complimentary coffee and tea, water kettle, this is good. Toilet with glass wall in the room, I hope this is only in the single rooms. Nice view for south facing rooms, the north rooms look at the railway. Breakfast more like a 2 star hotel, solid but somewhat loveless. Lack of sugar free oats is strange, that is normally a universal standard at hotel buffets outside of Italy.

This is the most enjoyable hotel during our trip. The lobby is so big with many comfortable sofa, it is nice just sit there. The room is huge for me, 3 people can dance in the room. Big table, big toilet, so good. Bed is ok size, a bit short for my dad but still ok. The shower is so good, water pressure is great. There are two sinks, no need to wait. Room is so clean. The location is super good, right next to train station, bus station. However, because of that, it is a bit noisy during night time. You can still here the train runnung

Location is excellent if you need to get to the airport quickly and the hotel is adjacent to the railway station. This was my reason for booking! Breakfast choice was poor, I would avoid buying it, even with the scenic views - you can go up to the 8th floor anytime for those photos! Furniture was dated in the room and the bed was one of the lowest I have slept on! However the room was clean and staff were polite when I checked in. Even storing my luggage as I arrived early .

Stayed here for a few nights holiday in Geneva with my family and we were honestly quite impressed! The room was spacious with great lighting and design. Saleh and the rest of the hotel staff were really great at making sure we had everything we need- breakfast was good too but would say it’s only worth the 19 francs pp once or twice.

Rooms are unique but a bit dated style wise. However they are very functional. The keys are a bit bulky... not sure why they don't use the RFID or NFC cards. But still it was unique. The staff is very efficient, personable and quick. Location is prime, right downtown and next to the train station. Plus you get a free city travel pass for your stay. All the public transportation is free. Which is awesome because the city bus, streetcar and rail limes run on swiss precision! 😉😄
N K — Google review
The rooms are dated (feels like walking into the 80s). If you get room 402 make sure you do not accept it. The room is directly under the tram and it means no quality sleep. Although it’s a good location, I value my sleep and will not stay here again

The rooms here are clean and quite spacious for hotels in this class in Geneva. However the amenities are really lacking. No normal things like small moisturizer , hair conditioner , nespresso or equivalent coffee pods , tiniest possible soap and towels. Free wifi is about as generous as it gets.

Hotel was perfect. The staff were amazing - friendly, professional, helpful - couldn't do enough for you. Big shout out to David - asset to the company! Room was clean and bed was super comfortable. Shower was amazing! Couldn't have picked a better location for the hotel - short walking distance (2 mins) to the old town, lake and shopping area. If I ever visit again I would definitely choose this hotel. Highly recommend.

Shani was absolutely amazing 👏🤩, and honestly, the rest of the staff matched her energy every step of the way. We probably had the chance to interact with almost every team member, and each one of them left a positive impression. Friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, the staff here really make CitizenM stand out. The hotel itself is a dream. The rooms are sleek, modern, and technology-driven, everything is automated and easy to use, from lighting to blinds to entertainment. The water pressure in the shower is perfect, which makes such a difference after a long day. Coffee lovers, you’ll be happy, the coffee here is excellent and always prepared with care. And the bar? The bartenders are outstanding, fun, professional, and they make the perfect cocktails. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the overall vibe of the hotel is stylish yet comfortable. CitizenM truly gets it right: design, comfort, service, and technology all in one. If you’re looking for a stay that feels modern, friendly, and fun, this is the place to be.

Bad experience. Arrived at 20h for one night, was asked to pay upfront. When wanted to pay cash, they refused. Only payment in card. This is no where mentionned in the reservation confirmation. The receptionsit was unpleasant. Checked in at 21h30 after a friend drove 60 minutes to come and pay with her card. Never again

Modern, friendly, and tech-savvy stay in the heart of Geneva! We had a fantastic stay at CitizenM Geneva! From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their friendliness, professionalism, and efficiency. Every request we made was handled promptly and with a smile. The hotel is incredibly tech-forward, which made the stay feel both modern and convenient. Each room is equipped with a tablet that controls everything—lighting, temperature, blinds, entertainment—and it all works smoothly and intuitively. Even the check-in and check-out processes are done via self-service tablets, which was super easy and fast. The lobby and bar area were clean, stylish, and had a warm, homey vibe. We loved the selection of board and card games, which made the space feel social and welcoming. It’s a great place to relax after a day of exploring. The location is ideal—right in the center of Geneva, within walking distance of the lake and many attractions. We even walked from the train station with our luggage, and it only took around 19 minutes. Super convenient! There were a couple of minor downsides: the breakfast was underwhelming, and it’s a bit inconvenient that there are no toilets in the lobby (you have to go to level -3). But these were small issues in what was otherwise a fantastic experience. Overall, a great hotel for those who appreciate comfort, design, and modern tech—all in a perfect central location. Would definitely stay again!

I had an amazing stay at CitizenM Geneva, sadly only for the weekend, but it was such a great experience. The rooms are modern and everything can be controlled from an iPad. The design of the hotel is beautiful, as a designer I loved every detail, it feels modern, artsy and cozy all at once. The staff were the best, so friendly and helpful, I forgot to ask their names but I’ll definitely be coming again soon. Breakfast was delicious and the hot chocolate was the best I’ve ever had. The location is also perfect, right in the center with shops all around, and for the price this hotel is honestly one of the best.

Hotel Cristal is a charming and hospitable hotel located in the hip city center of Geneva. The bright quarters offer free Wi-Fi and are cleaned daily, providing a comfortable stay for guests. The hotel's dining room provides stunning city views, although some visitors wished for more breakfast options. Despite the absence of smart keys, the hotel offers excellent service and includes free public transit during your stay. Guests appreciate the honest personnel and convenient location near various shops, restaurants, and cafes.
Although I only stayed for 1 night, it was definitely worth it. The room has airconditioning and fit for the summer months. Wifi is good and strong. Bed is super comfortable! There is tea service and security safe/vault in the room. All in all totally worth the stay.
Aeon G — Google review
My strategy is to book a hotel within walking distance of the train station, and Hotel Cristal fits this criterion. PROs: Walking distance to a vibrant shopping streets, e.g., Mont Blanc, Berne, etc., and plenty of eateries. Small cozy hotel room with all the convenience, clean, and topnotch shower! An off-season reasonable price. Excellent breakfast on the 8th Floor with a fantastic view at sunrise! Polite breakfast assistants. Nice lounge area which I never used to relax or do anything. CONs: Room could use a larger TV screen. More central lightings needed even though eco-friendliness is at play here. Hotel still uses traditional room keys with heavy metal keychain - imagine carrying that around town in your backpack! No free local newspapers for customers. Front desk staff could be a little less formal. But again chitchat is optional, and staff is a bit too cold and formal. An excellent choice after all. Recommended.

What a perfect location in Geneva. 7 min. ride from airport, then a short 2 min. walk to hotel. Many, many restaurants near by. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and spoke english.

The room is large, but no view, unless you consider a parking lot as a “view”. Anyway that is expected as it is a stone away from the train station. Plenty of good restaurants and convenient shops near the place. You can easily walk to the lake in 5 mins. Staffs are ok but I find the breakfast lacking. Overall, will not mind booking again.

The reception staff seems like they hate their customers. The female staff works like she wants to go home and get things done as fast as possible without listening anything to us. The male staff with dark hair is also unwelcoming with angry face all the time. The location is near the main station but feel unsafe at night. I’ll never chose this hotel again. My big regret!!!

Awfully loud construction noise!! They didn’t even give us a warning about at all. Extremely slow wifi. Worst of all is the loud noises from the street all night. 3-5am people were yelling in street below. They gave us a room close to the construction across the street.Very loud construction noise starts before 7am. No coffee machine in the room. Just a kettle and instant coffee.

As a solo traveler, this was a great place to stay. The location was ideal, very close to the central station and easy to get around the city. The facilities were more than enough for a comfortable stay, and having air conditioning was a definite plus. Simple, convenient, and suited for solo travel.

This is a fairly old 3* hotel, so you might want to temper your expectations in line with that. Having said that, the room was larger than most in this category, clean and comfortable. 2 comfortable chairs were a bonus. Overall I would recommend it.

Fantastic location, across from train station where trains, buses and trams are easily accessible. Restaurants, supermarkets and cafes at doorstep. And yet quiet. Room was small yet had everything needed - air conditioning, ample toiletries, kettle. Bed and pillows were very comfy. Receptionist were very efficient and helpful.

This is a 2 Star hotel though it is listed as a 3 Star hotel. Here are some of the highlights of this property that I would like to share. Location is excellent. Right across the main train station, plenty of restaurants / eateries around the hotel, helpful staff (especially Lilly). Here are some of the lowlights. Rooms are small, elevators are tiny (claustrophobic to some) and that is understandable in Europe. Basic necessities are provided in the room. Air conditioning was ineffective. During summer months this would be a main concern. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was the air conditioning. Breakfast was decent. Service at breakfast was very good. Neighborhood was safe and clean.
Krishna K — Google review
The service from the staff, especially at reception was very good. The breakfast was good. The room was clean and comfortable. We were uncomfortable with the environment outside the hotel where a few people slept on the pavement. Overall it was a good 1 night sleep over.

Right in front of the train station, perfect location. The room with a terrace is perfect for relaxing and smoking outside. I even had a bath tub. Extra pillow available, streaming options for Netflix, kettle, tea, bottle of water, the shower gel smelled very good. The hotel is cozy and the rooms are old but you have all you need.
Alexiane G — Google review
The room was not very big, but it had everything you need for a good night’s sleep. The location next to the railway station is excellent, if you travel by rail. It was a pleasant surprise, that the city provided a free transport card. The shower cabin was extremely small. It’s a shame that such a remarkable city tolerates visible drug use, homelessness, and prostitution. I know that in many cities the areas near the railway station can feel unpleasant, but I didn’t expect it to be so noticeable in Geneva, given the city’s strong reputation.

I booked a Chamonix day trip to see Mont-blanc for me and the family. Our Hotel Booked a Day trip to Chamonix. Our Driver Aristotle was really amazing. As we were driving, he asked us what we were really interested in and made sure we saw everything. Had our tickets ready, took us to the gate and made sure we got in. Gave us his phone number to text when done, took us to a really nice restaurant for lunch and on the way back we asked about a day trip to nice winery. We were blown away by his knowledge and asked if he would take us the next day. He called and confirmed he could. Both days were incredible. He made us very comfortable both days. Highly recommended this company and if your fortunate to get Aristotle you won’t regret this. Brenda and Terry

Very bad, we are missing our flights eventhough we left on time and there was enough time to make it easily; the rrason is fully their sillynoperation: they come 1h early and put the tachometer on to then stop for 45 min with a distance if 45 minutes from geneva airport so we miss our flight after having a super-stressed time in the bus waiting for nothing: terrible!

We took the 170 CHF package with gva transfer which includes to and fro transportation from Chamonix back to geneva, (Check out their brochure to know additional things in the package). It was a relaxed ride as they pick you up from your respective hotels and then also drop you back to your desired location. It was a relief to see them making sure if all the passengers had boarded the bus back again for the trip to geneva after the day trip of Chamonix. They make sure to call you and wait for you. Our Driver Zsol was quiet calm and accommodating in terms of carrying our luggage and dropping us back to the train station. I highly recommend him as your driver, if you try GVA transfers

My family and I booked an excursion to Chamonix. We booked direcly on the company's website. We got confirmation via email. We got text message confirming they will pick us up from our hotel. So far so good. However, on the day of our excursion, no one came to pick us up! No one turned up. I called the company. I was told to meet them in the office. I went there and even though the guy who was dealing with us was really nice he couldn't explain what happened that we weren't picked up. We got our money back which is great but we never made it to Chamonix what spoiled our experience. I know we got money back but some further compensation would be better solution to this mistake. Overall not a pleasant experience.

(Translated by Google) Good morning, I have just suffered enormous stress after visiting the GVS TRANFERS company. I enter their office where there is only one person and not even a receptionist, which is already disturbing for such large transport companies. The gentleman, who later introduced himself as Arturo, told me that he was not from the same company and that I should call them. I was questioned why it was necessary to call somewhere already when the situation was urgent (I was going to another city). He told me that it wasn't his problem and that it was normal that there was no one in the office. Moreover, he addressed me informally throughout our conversation. I was disgusted with how he wanted to get rid of me, as quickly as possible. I said that it’s not normal to have one person for an entire company and to have no one at reception. He told me once again that it was none of his business. Therefore, I would like to express not only my dissatisfaction with the professional service and the lack of information, but also my complete disappointment with how people who want refunds are treated. No one will want to take excursions as long as this kind of problem exists. He should not have resolved the problem, because he did not represent the same company. But in any company, one must at least pretend to care a little about the concerns of the customers who enter their workplace. So it no longer seems important to describe anything. I do not recommend taking excursions with this company, because you will have to expect the representatives to be completely indifferent to you and your requests.

Restaurant
Nestled in the Old Town of Geneva, Restaurant Les Armures is a charming Swiss eatery housed within a 17th-century residence. The restaurant's chalet-inspired interior exudes a cozy ambiance, offering guests an authentic dining experience. Renowned for its fondue and raclette, this establishment also serves up hearty local specialties such as grilled Swiss sausage and two-cheese fondues accompanied by a platter of Swiss cold cuts.
What a delightful fondue restaurant nestled in the charming heart of Geneva's old town! A dear friend introduced me to this gem, and I must say, it truly lived up to all the wonderful things I had heard about it. It was my very first experience with fondue, and oh my, it was absolutely delicious! The local wine complemented the meal beautifully as well. The service was impressively swift and attentive. I wholeheartedly recommend this lovely spot to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

This is probably the best situated local restaurant in Geneva! Hidden gem on the main street? Possible 😉 Local cuisine, design and atmosphere? Exactly here. Delightful fondue 🫕 and Swiss onion soup made our day! You can actually smell the cheese in the air from the first sec inside:) We shared soup and fondue for 1 person for both of us and it was enough for us (but we never eat too much). Soup with baked cheese on top and bread inside, sooo tasty! Fondue perfectly made, it was hot till the end and the cheese was creamy and in liquid state all the time. Service polite and welcoming though could be more attentive to the tables with 2 people, we noticed they provided more attention to bigger groups. Reservation May be required in the weekends. Very nice place, must try in Geneva!

Superb! Every single thing we ate tasted absolutely delicious. We had Genève cold cuts for starters, we were given the small portion but that was big enough to share between two. I ordered their famous mushroom and bacon fondue which was to die for and my partner’s main was one of the house reccomendation: the wild boar with chestnut. He absolutely loved it. It was also his birthday and the staff arranged a little chocolate dessert with a sparking candle for him which was heart warming as I didn’t even ask them to do that, when I booked the table I had just asked for a cute and intimate spot for us. Merci beaucoup to the very attentive staff for taking such a great care of us during our special dinner.

At Armures, the raclette was truly the standout—rich, creamy, and so delicious we kept coming back for more. The cheese fondue was also satisfying, capturing that classic Swiss comfort. The beef with mushroom dish was decent, but it didn’t quite reach the heights set by the exceptional raclette.

Amazing place, lots of heritage and great food. The local fish is amazing. The restaurant was busy, however the staff made sure that they could handle all walk-in’s. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

An exceptional dinner with an outstanding waiter in a vintage setting. I enjoyed two glasses of good dry white wine at a very reasonable price. The waiter recommended the fresh caught lake perch; it was the best I ever tasted in a beurre blanc sauce that was divine. I went with the french fries, which were killer good. A delicious side salad rounded this great entrée off. But the piece de resistance was the Swiss chocolate mousse for dessert. While this restaurant was not cheap, it was worth every dime!

The place was packed at lunch. Glad we made reservations. We came because we heard it was the oldest restaurant in Geneva with authentic Swiss food. We came for the fondue and it didn't disappoint. We had one serving and two of us shared. We also had the veal and a salad. I think the place was extremely busy. The food took a while to be served. The servers were friendly helpful and obliging However, we had to prompt the server for butter and potatoes and the salad. Once promoted, the food arrived quite quickly.

We are so glad to have snagged a spot for this fondue institution, there seems to be a lot of history in this area and hotel and we enjoyed the coziness, detail and decor in this restaurant. The waitors and manager could definitely be more warm and friendly. Not even a thank you or goodnight when leaving but just blank stares.

I went on a tour! I thought it was okej, the tour in it self was not that special it was rather being there that was cool. (My gf really liked it tho she thought the tour guide was so good). Con- we where on time but the tour was not which meant we had to wait in the heat when we was there on time. Also i wish the tourguie would say when we can take photos cause sometimes it was lite unclear especially when i see other pepole have taken photos that i wish i could have. But overall it was really good and i am happy we went and I would recommend other to book to. The absolut best was the guy in the stamps both, i was really kind and made it realy memorable for us!

I visited the UN headquarters in Geneva and really enjoyed the group tour. Walking through the big halls, especially the Assembly Hall and Human Rights Council Chamber, was fascinating. It felt special to stand in the rooms where so many important discussions actually happen.
Mriam A — Google review
Unfortunately we couldn’t get in. They said only booked tickets could get in. But there is no availability for over a year. There might be something wrong with buying tickets online. Even though, from outside the building looks great. Should go for a walk around even without tickets.
José B — Google review
How stupid can they be? Imagine you have a beautiful art deco building, but then you build such an ugly fence that it can hardly be seen anymore. Could that be a typical result of an overrated, overfunded overpaid underbrained stuffy organisation? We had booked a tour a few months before and the process of getting the security passes was terrible. We just got inside one of the ugly 1960s buildings (and the ceiling decorations were nice) and we could at least see the nice historic art deco building from the back. There are renovations going on, but It sure would have been possible to guide us through a few rooms of this immense building, but the bureaucracy wouldn’t care for visitors. High on security, low on everything else.
Sylvester H — Google review
How does someone rate one of the most important places on the planet. Our guide was incredibly well versed with all goings-on at the UN and spoke more languages than all five of us combined. Be prepared with any questions as your guide will be more than capable of answering them. Book the private tour for an even better experience. Be sure to enter at the Pregny Gate.
Greg T — Google review
Beautiful building! Even from the outside, the Palais des Nations is worth a stop, especially to see the famous Broken Chair nearby and the line of flags!
Liam D — Google review
The UN was the top of my sons list when we booked our trip to Geneva, so we just had to get tickets to get inside! You have to book a tour to get inside the gates, we booked online roughly 3 weeks before, but it tells you to do it as soon as you can as it books up fast! You get a guided 1hour tour which is OK, but it's honestly worth booking just to get inside the gates, so many brilliant photo opportunities! The buildings and gardens are beautiful! My son was so happy getting his picture with the flags! Our tour guide was lovely, I can't remember his name! He really did try to squeeze as much in as possible in the short time! It's worth it as the tickets are quite cheap!

The International Museum of the Red Cross and Red Crescent in Geneva offers a captivating and humbling experience, showcasing the ongoing humanitarian efforts of these organizations. The museum's permanent exhibition, "The Humanitarian Adventure," is divided into three sections, delving into the founding principles, aid for families affected by conflict or genocide, and disaster relief efforts. Visitors are encouraged to use audio guides to fully immerse themselves in the affecting video interviews with individuals impacted by the Red Cross's work.
Loved it! I didn't know that the Red Cross started in Switzerland. It's small but filled with lots of information. Lots of videos to watch and there's an interactive game. I saw some very nice at pieces constructed by the refuge prisoners. My favorite was a tea set made out of fish bones! There's a snack shop and a bookstore area too. The prices weren't ridiculous. This was a really good trip to this museum.

Visiting the International Museum of the Red Cross and Red Crescent in Geneva was a deeply moving and enlightening experience. The museum’s innovative exhibits, including holographic testimonies and immersive installations, effectively convey the profound impact of humanitarian work across the globe. The interactive displays and multimedia presentations are designed to engage visitors of all ages, making complex topics accessible and compelling. One of the most poignant aspects of the museum is its focus on personal stories and real-life accounts, which highlight the resilience and dignity of individuals affected by conflict and disaster. The museum’s architecture complements its mission, with thoughtfully designed spaces that encourage reflection and dialogue. Located near the United Nations headquarters, the museum is easily accessible and offers a unique opportunity to understand the principles and challenges of humanitarian action. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding and Inspiring Experience The Red Cross Museum in Geneva is truly exceptional. From the moment you enter, you're immersed in powerful stories of humanity, compassion, and global impact. The exhibitions are modern, interactive, and deeply moving — combining audio, visuals, personal testimonies, and historical artifacts in a way that really makes you reflect on the importance of humanitarian work. The section on humanitarian actions across different crises around the world was especially impactful. I loved how the museum highlighted real people and their stories — it felt very personal and emotional. The audio guides were excellent and available in many languages, making the experience even more engaging. The museum is well-organized, easy to follow, and beautifully designed. It’s not just a historical place, but also a reminder of our shared responsibility toward others. I left feeling inspired and grateful. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Geneva — it’s a must-see!
Aaditi P — Google review
We were disappointed by the permanent display at the Red Cross Museum. It was small and a bit disorganized. Some of the descriptions weren’t aligned with the actual displays and we had to search for them. The museum also undercut its own achievements and accomplishments and could have had more displays, exhibits and details on its history, role and responsibilities, etc. We actually went through it twice because we thought we had missed some rooms and/or displays. The audio was automatic in some areas and in others you had to put in the numbers.
Erin O — Google review
A powerful museum showcasing the history of humanitarian work through interactive and emotional exhibits. Well organized and modern, it offers a deep look into global aid efforts. A must visit in Geneva!
Alejandro C — Google review
For CHF 15 there really isn't a lot to see- only 3 small permanent exhibitions. All the temporary exhibitions are closed until October. Took only an hour
Max P — Google review
Before this visit,I had no idea that the International Red Cross and Red Crescent performed so many humanitarian functions. Going through the exhibits, I felt a deep sense of sadness at how the various wars and natural disasters affected the local population especially the children. This will be a sobering learning journey and reminder that there are wide ranging repercussions for all actions. Going back up to the entrance, there was an ad hoc dance and performance by a migrant group, the energetic and infectious mood is uplifting and gives hope again. Great experiential journey!
Hoong W — Google review
Really one of the best museums in Geneva. A little further out from the center but public transportation to get there is pretty convenient. The most fascinating for me was the room with all the crafts that prisoners made while incarcerated.

Jardin Anglais is a picturesque English-inspired park located along the shores of Lake Geneva. Established in 1855, it offers serene green spaces with stunning lake views. The park features an 1862 fountain, a flower-clock sculpture, and beautifully-tended floral displays. In addition to being a popular venue for open-air concerts in summer, it hosts Noel au Jardin, Geneva's main Christmas market.
One of Geneva’s most iconic landmarks, the Flower Clock (L’Horloge Fleurie), is a stunning fusion of art, nature, and Swiss precision. Located in the English Garden (Jardin Anglais), this giant outdoor clock was created in 1955 as a tribute to the city's long-standing tradition of watchmaking. Composed of over 6,500 seasonal flowers and plants that change throughout the year, the Flower Clock is not only a botanical masterpiece but also a functioning timepiece connected to a satellite for absolute accuracy. Visitors are often left in awe by its vibrant colors and intricate design. It’s not just the scale that impresses—stretching over five meters in diameter—but the way time is told so beautifully through nature. The second hand is the longest in the world, sweeping gracefully across a sea of blossoms. More than just a photo spot, the Flower Clock represents Geneva’s elegance, innovation, and deep respect for craftsmanship. Many tourists describe it as unexpectedly emotional—where time, beauty, and tradition intersect. A quiet moment spent admiring it often becomes one of the most memorable parts of any visit to Geneva.
Huong L — Google review
The park itself is nothing too special and not large, but the attraction is of course the view of the lake and the water jet. There is also an old style Ferris wheel which is not very large but has a certain attraction to it for being small and looking kind of old with open cars. A good place for a stroll but of course large numbers of tourists.
Timothy P — Google review
“It’s a small yet beautiful clock. I was pleasantly surprised to see it in a unique style, different from the usual pictures with blooming flowers. We visited on August 28, 2025, and learned that the clock’s design changes with the seasons.”
PAUL Y — Google review
The Jardin Anglais is a relaxing spot right by the lake — perfect for taking in the views of Lake Geneva and the Jet d’Eau. There are plenty of benches and shaded areas, so it’s easy to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. You can catch the solar train from here, which is a fun and easy way to explore the area, or hop on one of the Mouettes, the little yellow boats that cross the lake. There are also small kiosks selling souvenirs like magnets, Swiss bells, and postcards, so it’s a nice place to pick up a little reminder of your visit. If you’re feeling hungry, there’s a restaurant and café nearby where you can grab something to eat while enjoying the view. Overall, Jardin Anglais is a peaceful and convenient place to stop — a must-visit if you’re spending time by the lake in Geneva.

The Flower Clock in Geneva is a true masterpiece that perfectly combines Swiss precision with natural beauty. Located in the beautiful Jardin Anglais park, this unique landmark is made entirely of seasonal flowers and plants, arranged so delicately that the clock looks like a living work of art. What makes it even more special is how the design changes throughout the year, reflecting the seasons with new colors and patterns. It’s not just a clock, but a symbol of Geneva’s elegance and creativity. Standing in front of it, you can admire both the artistry of the gardeners and the incredible accuracy of Swiss timekeeping. The surroundings are equally charming — with the peaceful gardens, the nearby lake, and the stunning view of the Jet d’Eau. Small monument by the lake and an easy walk from the station as well as the old town. In a small park or green space of its own which also has a small restaurant in it. Surrounded by water, and impressive for the look of the top of the head of the statue visible from ground level. Kept clean and in good order. Can also see the water jet from the same spot.

The Brunswick Monument is a peaceful spot to visit in Geneva and a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle. The park surrounding the monument is very well kept, with plenty of seating where you can relax and take in the peaceful atmosphere. The monument itself was built in the 19th century to honor Charles II, Duke of Brunswick, who left his fortune to the city of Geneva. It’s designed in the style of a Gothic mausoleum and is an impressive landmark with intricate details worth admiring. The location is also excellent—just a short walk from the Mouettes water taxis, making it easy to reach by lake, and close to a great choice of hotels, cafés and restaurants. Whether you stop by for a few minutes or spend an afternoon in the park, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Initially being too grand a vision with underestimated budget and overestimated location it started with a suicide of a hotelier and property developer, Charles-Frederic Aldinger, just two months before the opening of the hotel. He jumped out of the window. The hotel then went into bunkrupcy two years in its operation, partly due to its unfavourable location - the district of Les Paquis, populated mainly by farmers and fishermen. The hotel was catering for wealthy European travelers. After the First World War the hotel was modernised by the hotel magnate from the Core d'Azure, Marc Camoletti. The reception was moved to the top floor, each room hand an en suite bathroom and a new technology as elevators were introduced. But it was never destined to be opened as a hotel as at the same time the League of Nations' secretary-general, Sir Eric Drummond, fell in love with the building and the League purchased it for 5,5 million francs for its offices. In 1924 the building was renamed to Palais Wilson to commemorate the American President.the League stayed in the building till 1937 then it was sold to the canton, then the City of Geneva. It was used for all sorts of purposes including centre for Contemporary Arts and Association of the cinema professionals. In 1980s the building fell into disrepair. In 1990s it was renovated in anticipation that the UN Environmental Commission would occupy it. No such luck though. However, a different tenant was welcomed in instead in 1998 - The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. The Commission had 400 employees working in the Palais Wilson. The number which has grown to 700 by now. The Commission is going to move in 2020-2022 and so the building will be vacant again. Who's next? PS: the building is closed for public but can be admired from outside both from the Quai side and from its entrance side.

Airport
Geneva Airport is a bustling hub in Switzerland, featuring two terminals and a convenient direct railway link. The city of Geneva itself is renowned for its stunning architecture, picturesque views, and rich history, making it a popular destination for travelers. Whether you're passing through or planning an extended stay, Geneva offers an array of activities to explore. The airport itself boasts efficient operations with minimal wait times at security and passport control, as well as comfortable seating areas for relaxation.
I was at Geneva Airport for a transfer flight and overall, it was a smooth and well-organized experience. The transfer process was easy and on time, which I really appreciated. One thing I liked was the availability of charging stations — they’re everywhere, which is super convenient. However, the airport could really improve in terms of food and drink options. There were only a few restaurants and coffee shops, with a limited selection. Definitely something that could be better. But in terms of efficiency and comfort for a short stay, it did the job well.

Lovely little spot off the beaten track within the Geneva tourist attraction circuit. Was not here long on my outbound trip. Things were smooth getting off the plane, but absolute chaos (long queue) going through border control. A shuttle bus was required to get from the car rental desk to the actual car, which was strange. But no questions were asked when we departed with 6 people in a 5 person car (re-awarded a detracted star for this). The EU passport queue also looked long. We did not require baggage retrieval services so it’s difficult to say how efficient these were, but the conveyor belts were plagued with advertising for Uber so I am not convinced. On my return, checkin, bag drop and security were fast and quarm-free. Overall, one star deducted for large border queue on the outbound.

For such a modern country, the airport was really unmodern. Like you have to take out liquids and computer from your bag. The seating before the gates are uncomfortable and there are barely no charging stations. Also no water fountain, I think it would have been nice I think they can do better. But still it was okej and the stores have a lot off opinions but realy expensive

Comparing to the well known city, its airport facilities are below my expectation since I was visiting here for the first time. The airport is not large, and we waited to pass the immigration for about an hour. There are 3 large ATM machines for you to get local currency. Nothing special about the stores and snack bars. The signs for ground transportation were not very clear. We spent some time to find out where the bus stop to Chamonix was. Outside the airport, every sign is in French. Made it even more difficult.

If I could give reviews in the negative I'd give -1000 specifically for the ground staff of Qatar Airways. I fly with them almost on a monthly basis for work, and as a OneWorld Emerald member (highest frequent flyer tier) I have access to priority check-in. Three times already this year, on separate occasions, the priority check-in queue is jammed for over an hour simply because the ground staff and especially the manager is incapable of managing groups travelling perhaps on business class, but with literal trolleys of bags and boxes that occupy both priority check-in desks for no reason. It is not normal that I am next in the queue and yet it takes me more than an hour because the manager would not free up an extra check-in desk for those who are not travelling with 20+ luggages?! I spoke with the manager and she rudely told me they are in business so I basically have to suck it up and after gaslighting me into saying they did not know in advance people would come with so many luggages (so where do the massive trolleys come from!?) and they were passengers like any others, not "VIPs" (while literally putting VIP labels on their boxes/luggages and after the other ground staff referred to them as VIPs). So what is the use of priority check-in?! Surely if they were so VIPs they should have their own lane. And again this is not the first time it happens - last time it happened was in mid-June same incident. The ground crew should know/expect parties with 20+ luggages are coming and open an extra counter or something, but seems like they do not care given it is not the first time it occurs and they'd rather be rude to the average passenger. It is an appalling, shameful way of treating customers regardless of whether they have FF status anyways or not, and again - so rude?! For no reason?! For an airline that is award-winning they should be ashamed of their ground crew and how they treat the passengers.

Easy to get around, polite flight staff and security to assist. Lots of food, shops to browse and buy some great brand items like Rolex, Rado and more. Free WiFi from the booth, a few small business desks to recharge your tablets & phones, plus seating with charge stations for mobile phones. Granite floors, fresh structural steel design roof and full glass walls, make this airport so fresh. The train from Geneva city is only 6min and to go through security was really fast in Switzerland. I had a great experience here, safe and wonderful, will definitely return here in near future. Make it your destination on your bucket list in tje future.

This is a complete mess that they combine airlines and still not working in full capacity. If lucky, the line takes minimum 2-3hrs. Do people have to stand still for 2 hrs only to check in ? Usually 10-15 airlines are combined. Once the line was starting from outside of the airport. This needs to be fixed immediately.

No Air conditioning in mid of summer!!! The airport was incredibly hot and everyone was sweating. There was too many delays wich caused us and many people to miss our connection flights. The gate changed at least 3 times. The food options in the airport are very limited and overpriced significantly. The kids area is just 2 toys. Will never stop here again. Edit: after 3 hours delay the flight was cancelled. So frustrating 😡

Wedding venue
Crowne Plaza Geneva, an IHG Hotel, is a stylish 4-star venue conveniently located just a 3-minute drive from Geneva Airport and the Palexpo Exhibition Centre. The hotel offers chic rooms and suites with free WiFi, trendy dining options, and a gym. Guests can enjoy a complimentary airport shuttle service and easy access to public transportation for exploring the city center. With friendly staff and comfortable accommodations, this hotel provides a relaxing stay for both business and leisure travelers.
We had a great stay at Crowne Plaza Geneva. The hotel is conventiently located close to the airport and even provides an airport shuttle every 20 minutes. Otherwise, there is a bus stop for bus line 10 (city center to airport) right in front of the hotel. We knew about neither in advance and walked from the airport; also only a 15 minute walk. As IHG Platinum members we were upgraded from a standard room to a premium room on the top level club floor. The room was superb: comfy couch, full window front with electric slides and an adjoining open bath room (can be opened through a sliding door similar to an open kitchen). All the staff we encountered were very friendly, especially the front desk team. They were amazing and really made us feel welcome! The club lounge could have been better looked after during happy hour (food items and beer empty for a long time) and breakfast (coffee machine not working for a long time), but they quickly turned our frown into a smile as soon as we mentioned it. We enjoyed a welcome drink with tapas in the restaurant, unfortunately only one person of the restaurant team knew what to do with our voucher. The beer and tapas were super delicous, though. And we also enjoyed the athmosphere sitting outside. The "fondue chalet" (which can be rented for a private fondue event with 2-8 persons) looks very promising, too. We really would have loved to try it. For our next time in Geneva, the Crowne Plaza will certainly be our first choice.

We had a wonderful end to our holiday in Switzerland staying at the Crowne Plaza. The front desk team was incredibly warm and welcoming, and they kindly offered us a complimentary upgrade when our room had a small issue. As members, we were also given exclusive access to their Club Lounge, which made our stay even more special. From the restaurant to the bar, every staff member we encountered was genuinely friendly, greeting us with smiles and great service. Our room had a stunning view of the mountains, making it the perfect setting to end our trip on a happy and relaxing note. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to and from the airport every 20 minutes, which was very convenient. The restaurant serves delicious food, and the Taps Bar offers some truly amazing starters. Thank you, Crowne Plaza, for such a wonderful experience and for helping us conclude our Swiss holiday in the most pleasant and comfortable way. Highly recommended!

Good business hotel on the more premium end. Excellent breakfast, great furniture in the rooms. Kind service, close to the AirPort with free airport shuttle. The city is accessible via public transport. Convenient check in and check out times. Good wifi if you need to work from the hotel, all offer bookable meeting rooms.

Had a really good overall experience. Service was impeccable and everything felt well-run. The Geneva transport card is a great touch, letting you move freely around the city. Shuttle to and from the airport every 20 minutes makes things easy. Rooms were clean, lobby bright and welcoming. Be ready for mini bar prices the Geneva style lol

We had such a wonderful stay at the Crowne Plaza Geneva. From the moment we arrived, the check-in and check-out experiences were warm and seamless. I want to especially recognize Rai, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Her kindness, attentiveness, and thoughtfulness truly stood out. She remembered our names, our travel plans, and offered helpful information that made our visit so much smoother. It’s rare to experience that level of personal care, and it left a lasting impression on our long trip. All of the staff we encountered were equally welcoming and professional. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and perfect for relaxing after a long day. We’ll absolutely stay here again next time we’re in Geneva!

I'm glad I stayed here, nice and conveniently located near Geneva airport with complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport every 20 minutes. Spacious and clean room with great views, comfortable bed and unique bathroom design. Staff were very friendly and welcoming also. Will definitely stay again!

To be Avoided: Lugubrious and Inefficient Oh, dear! Let me count the ways we were disappointed. Could it be the vile décor? The shower that floods? The bathtub in the middle of the room? Maybe the worn, college-dorm-like furniture? The location of our room exactly where we had asked NOT to be (near elevators, lounges, etc.)? How about the more than unfriendly and inefficient reception at Check-in as we were forced to wait endlessly in front of the drafty revolving door? No? Maybe the idiotic way the internet was explained (the password was provided, yes, but not which of some 20 networks available was the right one). What about the fact that any call to any of the numbers on the phone goes unanswered and disconnects (front desk, wake-up calls, etc.)? And then, how about you can’t close the door to the shower *and* the toilet at the same time? Or the absence of sufficient places to hang the towels? Or that, at an airport hotel in particular, there are no quick options for checkout (key dropbox or onscreen or invoice to sign left under your door)? Very sorry to report that is one of the worst-designed rooms/hotels we’ve ever stayed… and this was a junior suite, mind you. Ouch. Sorry, Crowne Plaza, this property is a loser. We were very sorry to have picked it and would definitely elect not to stay here again. But there was one thing that was terrific: the lounge on the concierge floor (even though the hours were wrongly listed, to wit: that one could go in 24/7 for a beverage: it was locked tight when I tried to get some coffee @ 5 AM before the continental breakfast at 6:30 AM): other than that, the lounge was great, and the small bites were absolutely perfect: charming staff, a choice of red or white wine, a nice coffee machine, delicious bread and cheese. Plus, I'm happy to report that check-out was infinitely more hospitable. It was almost enough to make us forget the terrible room, where, at least the towels were soft. But sadly, not. If you need to stay at the airport, I’m sure that there are better options. There is no universe in which this is a 4-star hotel.

Honestly, this hotel deserves 5 stars, not 4. The stay was excellent great service, friendly staff, and everything ran smoothly. I was recognized as an IHG Diamond Ambassador Member and got upgraded for all three of my rooms, which was a really nice touch. The lounge was perfect and made the stay even better. Thanks to the whole team for such a great experience.🏆

Nestled conveniently at the edge of Geneva Airport, Nash Airport Hotel is a modern gem that caters to travelers seeking comfort and convenience. This stylish hotel features contemporary rooms, albeit on the smaller side, but they are impeccably clean and equipped with comfortable beds for a restful night’s sleep. Guests can enjoy a casual-chic eatery on-site, along with amenities like a gym and sauna for relaxation after travel. The outdoor terrace adds a lovely touch for those looking to unwind in nature.
This hotel in Switzerland is amazing! The rooms were spacious and nice, The staff were very friendly!! The room i was in had a mini fridge with one sparkling and one still, with some very nice coffee according to my auntie and others who tried it! The AC is quite good and i felt very refreshed after using the shower, there’s also a mirror that you can use for makeup so it was perfect for me! Overall, i love this hotel and would recommend to family and friends 😊

In one day before the check-in, we received an email from Nash Airport Hotel. One of the requirements was in this email says: - For health reasons, please come to the reception with a mask. - For hygienic reasons, it is mandatory to wear a mask in our shuttle. It was last night call, and instead of having to have farewell diner, we went to a pharmacy and bought 30 masks (the smallest pack available). When we arrived, we have not seen ANYONE, guests or personnel, wearing a mask; this requirement has not been enforced. When I mentioned this situation to the receptionist at check-in he just smiled. If this requirement comes from COVID times, you need to update the email text. Anyway, it was a disappointment from the very beginning of our stay. The email that we received also said: Free airport shuttle: No shuttle reservation is necessary. We offer a rotation every 10 minutes from 04:00 am to 05:30 am and every 20 minutes from 05:30 to midnight. It sounded great on the paper. However, the shuttle pickup location has not been provided. We’ve spent about 40 minutes at the airport. We could not find anyone who could point out the location. We ended up taking a public bus and walked 5 minutes from the nearest bus stop in heavy rain. Breakfast. We inform you that our restaurant is open for breakfast from 05:30 am to 10.30 am. There was no one who could meet us at the restaurant. At 9:30 AM there was not much food left, and what was left was cold. At the end of breakfast, a lady from the hotel came to us and asked to pay for the breakfast. What? If _restaurant is open for breakfast_, it could mean only that _breakfast is offered_. We paid. I suggest that hotel informs us that breakfast is not free and make it obvious _before_ . Unless it is a trick that hotel knowingly plays with people.

Overall, I felt it is easier to stay in Geneva city next to the train station and get the 7-minute train to airport rather than staying at this hotel which is actually far from the airport. At the city next to the train station you can find better hotels at a cheaper price - faster and comfortable. First of all, the hotel is bad at communicating and managing their services. They mention that they have shuttle from the hotel to the airport. I asked them if they have shuttle from the airport to the hotel and how to access it. They did not provide this information and I ended up carrying my bags for a mile or so in the hot sun! The room is a bit too stuffed, with no proper air conditioning, and not comfortable. In the early morning, there was a big crowd for the airport shuttle, but there were no instructions or information to access such that many could not get into the shuttle.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I was really let down by my experience at this hotel. The room was very small, the TV didn’t work, and worst of all, the air conditioning was completely ineffective. Since I was only staying a short time, all I really needed was a cool, comfortable place to rest — and unfortunately, that didn’t happen. When I brought up the issue with the front desk and service staff, I was told that “it’s just a hot hotel” and was brushed off without any real help. I ended up having to get a fan just to make it through the night. Honestly, it’s worth spending the extra $20 to stay at another local hotel where comfort and service are taken more seriously

This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The room w barely big enough for one person and we had two of us. I couldn’t even open my suitcase. The A/C didn’t work well so there was no airflow in the room. They sent a technician to check, and he said to open the window. I talked to the front desk, and the woman asked me if I had reviewed the dimensions of the room online. I said that I assumed when I booked a room for two, it would be the right size. She also made up a lie about the Geneva laws for air temperature in the room. We liked it up. There is no such thing.

Broken Property and Refused Compensation Hotel staff accidentally broke our charging cable (bent the plug) when bringing in the baby cot. We asked the reception for a compensation, they said the manager isn’t here that day and told me to email him instead, felt like getting runaround. We were initially promised compensation via email, but the hotel has since ghosted us, ignoring all follow-up requests after we sent the replacement invoice. This handling of the issue is completely unprofessional and insulting. I am posting this because you ignored every attempt to resolve this privately. Not that I demand for compensation anymore, but I hope this public complaint finally leads you to deal with your systematic lack of professionalism.

Rooms were good, but stay away from the restaurant. We saw the chef drop a birger bun on the floor, then simply pick it up and put it in the heating oven. The burgers were also raw.....
Mara K — Google review
I stayed only one night at the hotel, and that was more than enough to know I wouldn’t want to stay again. The rooms are extremely small—so much so that moving around is nearly impossible. There’s barely any space for luggage, and overall the room felt cramped and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the air conditioning throughout the hotel—especially in our room—was not working, right in the middle of summer when the rooms have very limited ventilation. We weren’t able to get any rest before our 13-hour flight. We spent the whole night sweating excessively, suffocating from the heat, because the ventilation system was never fixed, nor did they seem to have any intention of addressing the issue. I had to get up more than three times during the night just to take cold showers in an attempt to relieve the unbearable heat. This was supposed to be a night of rest before a long trip, and instead it was completely exhausting. The front desk didn’t even offer to move us to a better-ventilated room or provide any alternative solution. On a positive note, I must say the shuttle service to the airport is very efficient and convenient. However, that doesn’t make up for the terrible experience we had at the hotel.

The ibis budget Genève Palexpo Aéroport is a conveniently located budget hotel near the airport, making it an ideal choice for travelers seeking affordable accommodation in Geneva. The rooms are cozy and modern with minimalist decor, offering a comfortable stay at a budget-friendly price. Situated opposite the Palexpo exhibition and conference center, the hotel provides easy access to both the city center and international organizations via car or public transport.
Very friendly and professional staff. We stayed for a week and they kindly swapped our rooms so that we could have a view over the park. The location is perfect especially if you're wanting to be close to Palexpo and also the airport is walking distance. It very good for public transport as there are regular buses right outside. The park is great for a morning walk. The breakfast is very good too. The rooms are small but you have everything you need. If anything I'd like to have more than one pillow and towel each.

A reasonable option if you don't want to spend a lot of money but still want to have a good standard. Everything is new, clean, smells nice (seriously even the corridors!). There's no coffee machine or refrigerator in the room but if you stay for 2 nights it's not necessary (I mean having the bottle of water wouldn't hurt but if you have your own bottle you can drink tap water - at least it's what I did and didn't have any problems). As an addition to your stay you'll receive a Travel Card which gives you the right to use all the public transportation for free for the time of your stay. The buses are right in front of the hotel, which is very convenient. Oh, and there's a really nice park very close to the hotel (and a nice view on the mountains :)). All in all, I recommend choosing this hotel.

We stayed here for one night before our flight back to the USA. The room was small but new, very clean, and perfect for a quick overnight stay. There was even an extra bunk bed, which makes it convenient for families with kids. The restaurant was also amazing. We had a few drinks in the evening and really enjoyed the cozy and comfortable ambience. Overall, it’s a great choice for a short stay near Geneva Airport and Palexpo.

🛏️ The room is small, and for two people it can feel a bit cramped. 🧹 Cleanliness is good overall (4/5) – bathroom was very clean 🚿 but there was some dust on the floor. 📍 Location is convenient, close to the airport ✈️ with a bus stop only about 200 meters away 🚍. The hotel also provides a free transport ticket 🎫, which is very handy for getting to the airport or the city. 🌙 The only challenge was finding the entrance at night. We arrived around 10 PM and it was confusing since several hotels (Holiday Inn, Ibis, etc.) are in the same area. No clear signs or maps, so it took about 20 minutes to figure out. ✨ Overall, a practical choice if you want to stay near Geneva Airport. Just keep in mind the compact room and the tricky entrance at night

Good for airport stays. Bus stop v handy and free with your stay. Although walkable from airport take care especially at night. It is quite intimidating. Homeless people etc. Maybe best to get bus especially if travelling alone. Migros supermarket at airport train station is great for breakfast, lunch etc. Good fresh fruit and croissants etc and good value compared to everywhere else. Enjoy

Pros: walking distance from Palexpo convention center while also being at easy reach to downtown (public transport system in Geneva is easy to use, clean, and takes you everywhere). Hotel is silent around the rooms, the room was comfortable, shower good, and breakfast was simple but good; Cons: The vending machine in the lobby basically sells ultra-processed food (except for some sandwiches, but then still lots of refined carbs) - hard to eat healthy at the hotel (except for breakfast, where they offered boiled eggs, cottage cheese, vegetables, and fresh fruits); Another issue for me: they spray these air fresheners on hallways...very strong odor plus these are endocrine disruptors :-(

This is a nice property and is located very centrally. I had multiple hiccups during my stay ranging from improper housekeeping to my air conditioning malfunctioning across rooms. The front desk team tried helping to make the stay more comfortable. Remi in the team and Ana / Victor at the restaurant were amazing and assets to the team. If you’re looking for a good stay, it’s definitely an option but for luxury, you may want to consider order central properties.

The location is great and the staff are lovely but the air-conditioning does not work properly and therefore it Is very difficult to recommend, especially in summer, as the (5th floor) room was unbearably hot. It ruined the experience unfortunately. The room itself was very nice although the bathroom was dark and dated.

It's a pleasure to wander down a tree lined promenade that was once a botanical garden. The north side of the park is bounded by the 100 metre " Reformation Wall"- stunning monument of four major figures of the Reformation; the carvings along the wall depict significant events throughout the history of Protestantism. Also there's a life sized chess board to try your hand against one of the locals. The restaurant nearby is very popular with the students of University of Geneva that is located too in the park opposite the Reformation Wall. Great place for recreation, indeed!

Very nice park with big chess boards at the entrance, where you can play chess, go and checkers. It is also famous for the reformation wall statue. But i really enjoyed more the park itself. It was a nice place to sit and relax or just take a walk around. Also there are some expositions that we enjoyed looking at when we visited the park.

A short walk away from Geneva’s Old Town, this lovely park was such a great find! The weather was perfect for grabbing a sandwich and having it out on a park bench. Something we don’t do often enough. As the sun was out, the weather was good and with it being summer holidays, there were a lot of families and kids around the park. Along with some groups participating in fitness activities such as yoga, tai chi, HIIT and more. It was an interesting park, with big chess boards, plenty of benches to sit on, a cafe at the far corner as well as the famous Reformation Wall in the middle. All in all, if you’re ever in the area, Parc des Bastions is definitely worth a visit! Bring along lunch, find a bench and sit down, breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the view!

Well kept park with many water fountains and lots of spaces to relax. If you want to play chess head to the bottom of the park! The statues are amazing to look and wonder.

Beautiful park with plenty of shade in summer. There's such a variety of trees in this park. There's even an app called Parcs Geneve where you can check what variety of trees are planted where. The park has various statues dotted around. The park entrances are planted up in spring. It's really a sight to behold.

Great location, just a 5-minute walk from the train station and right in downtown Geneva. The staff were super friendly and made me feel welcome. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing stay. Highly recommend this hotel!

Excellent location, near public transport as well as near Carnavin main train station. Also easily accessible from airport, WHO etc. offices through public transport. Also near the Geneva Lake. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby such as Manor etc. Staff was friendly and accommodating. However, the size of room is small and is suitable for single person. WC is shared on the floor but never was a problem. Always found available.
Abdul K — Google review
The shared bathroom was discusting and clogged and no staff on site after hours meant no one could use the toilet on our level. The toilet backed up into the shower ..nasty so I couldn't shower. The room was extremely hot with only a small fan to help so I could not get any sleep. Only good thing i have to say is the staff on arrival was friendly and good location
Elizabeth F — Google review
As many others have stated, the rooms are very compact by North American standards. Some are not even rectangular, but that's very obvious from the photos. The rooms will fit 2 people, but it will be a tight squeeze. You won't fit on the bed if you're over 5'5. You will have to crack a window because there is no A/C. I visited in late May, which did not present any problems. Noise didn't seem to be an issue either, but that can easily change. The shared toilet and shower is an "interesting" concept. I got lucky because my room was right across the hall from them. My room and bathroom were quite clean. One very annoying thing with this hotel is that the front desk and door are locked at 3pm. I didn't have any issue with this, but I ran into an American couple that almost couldn't get into their room because their train arrived late. They were able to get into the lobby when another guest was leaving. The hotel told them that the key would be left in their room. However, they were given the wrong room number and had problems contacting the hotel management to clear things up. Luckily, one of the hotel staff came by around an hour later and was able to get the couple into their correct room.

Stayed here from March 6th through the 11th while visiting Geneva for Spring break from Vermont in the US. Good place to stay if you want to save some money on lodging. It's right in the heart of Geneva, so exploring the city and other attractions are easily accessible by walking/public transport etc.

The room overall was humble but note that it was SQUEAKY CLEAN. And old hotel but very well maintained, and it was quiet. The service is awesome. Mr receptionist (forgot to ask name😔) was very helpful, and quick-witted. I was traveling with my old mother so i thought its going to be hard but the service and location made everything felt so simple and she's happy. The hotel was located near so many restaurant (Please note that many shops closed on sunday so u might need to walk further) but there was a bus station so close to the hotel so we could go everywhere easily. The only thing im scared of is the lift. It was so tiny and could only take one person on a time so my claustrophobic self cant take it hahaha but luckily you can take the stairs :)
Windy C — Google review
I think we all agree the location of the hotel is so perfect, but other things like service and no one will be on the reception after 4 pm this is disappointing, also the room cleaning wasn’t that good I found 2 spiders in the room this evidence of the cleaning, also the Toilet is for all people in the floor, So the only thing was positive is the location of the hotel, In my opinion I think you just need to stay for 1 night or 2 nights otherwise nothing deserved to stay in the hotel.

Hotel St. Gervais, nestled in the heart of Geneva, offers a budget-friendly stay with exceptional service. The front desk staff sets a welcoming tone, ensuring a smooth check-in and providing valuable local insights. The hotel maintains commendable cleanliness throughout, ensuring a comfortable stay for guests. One of its standout features is its affordability, making it an attractive option for budget travelers. Additionally, its central location allows easy access to Geneva's attractions and amenities, enhancing the overall guest experience. However, it's important to note that the rooms are compact, which may not be ideal for travelers seeking more space. Furthermore, the shared bathrooms might not suit everyone's preferences, but considering it's a one-star hotel, it's a reasonable compromise for the price point. In summary, Hotel St. Gervais offers excellent value for money, with its friendly staff, cleanliness, affordable rates, and convenient location outweighing its limitations of small rooms and shared bathrooms.

Phare des Pâquis, located on Lake Geneva, is a stunning lighthouse with a rich history dating back to the 19th century. It's a vibrant hub that offers breathtaking sunsets and an energetic atmosphere. The surrounding waterfront boasts scenic natural spots and walking paths that lead to different views of the lake. Visitors can enjoy the lively pier area, where they can relax with friends and family while taking in the beautiful scenery.
Beautiful! Phare des Pâquis, located on the western tip of Lake Geneva, is one of the most iconic landmarks in Geneva. This historic lighthouse, dating back to 1906, stands at a height of 35 m and offers panoramic views of the city, the lake, and the surrounding Alps. The lighthouse is not only a navigational beacon but also a popular destination for both locals and tourists, offering a relaxing lakeside promenade and sauna facilities.
Iryna K — Google review
Very beautiful light house, and recommend night time visit to capture the true beauty, but make sure you have some sort of light as you need to walk towards the lighthouse on a pier and it's not straight and makes it tricky when winds are flowing. Yet the beauty mesmerising while you catch calm breeze you can have a great lookout towards water (Lake Geneva) or the city and I loved the experience altogether. Make sure to visit Phares Des Paquis and its a great place to post yourself in Geneva

Phare des Pâquis is one of Geneva’s most scenic spots, located at the end of a pier by the Bains des Pâquis. The 19th-century lighthouse offers beautiful views of Lake Geneva, the Jet d’Eau, and the Alps—especially at sunrise or sunset. It’s a peaceful yet lively place where locals swim and relax. While the surrounding area can be busy or noisy at night, the charm, light, and lakeside atmosphere make it a must-visit for a true Geneva moment.

Located on Lake Geneva. The construction of the first lighthouse building began in 1857, while the second was erected in 1894. An amazing hub for all and place that buzzes with energy, life, and spectacular sunsets. Whether visiting on business or on vacation. In between meetings or relaxing over a weekend. A wonderful place to soak in the ambiance of Geneva and this magical city on the lake.

The second lighthouse on Lake Geneva which is directly opposite to the fountain. Usually crowded in the evening till late at night with people relaxing with friends and family on the pier. You can walk right up to this lighthouse and walk around the railing for a good view of the lake and the fountain.

There is a plethora of scenic natural spots around the waterfront in Geneva. Walking down paths does bring you to a slightly different view from each side. I think the slightly cranky swans were my favourite. Bring tributes or you will be hissed at as was some poor toddler who crossed the wrong swan. Food. It resolves most problems.

Super nice location a bit outside Geneva center. Well reachable with tram 12 and 18. Simple, clean rooms and friendly staff. Room 2nd floor to the backyard was quiet.

°Good things° The front desk and breakfast staff are very kind and capable. The look of the room and hotel is somewhat charming. the breakfast was good. °maybe not deal breakers° It's summer, the room was hot: there is a fan but the room is stuffy so windows need to be open for air, but with no screens mosquitoes fly in. Walking in the floor above is very audible. Our corridor smelled strongly like cigarette smoke. Drain flies. Loud restaurant closing sounds until 2330 (garden side). °unexpectedly bad° The side of the bed had a stain, and bedding had other generally undesirable qualities. An unchanged and FULL bathroom garbage bin. An outlet was broken (it looks like someone broke the plug for a lamp into it, and yes the broken lamp was left on the dresser lol), which left only one available outlet. No desk personnel present in the evening (we discovered these things at around 9pm). An overall unnerving experience. As soon as the desk staff came back in the am we asked to cancel our stay, but were forced to pay for the next night: understandable as a policy for most circumstances, but surprising for such a bad experience. Not an expensive place, but we moved down the street for the same price, were much more comfortable, had closer and less expensive parking, with 0 drain flies present (instead of MANY).

My first visit to Geneva. Was so happy to be there, up until I met the administrator or the manager or whoever that was, the gentelman who gave me the keys. Dutch arrogance is nothing comparing to his behavior. The hotel is ok. Did not want to eat at their restaurant after several encounters with that person.

The Harry Potter room provides a modern experience with riddles of moderate difficulty, making it enjoyable for both adults and kids over 14. The staff is friendly and the rooms are realistically equipped, making it a highly recommended team-building activity or fun event for friends and family.
The escape room itself was super fun. We did the Harry Potter one and it was perfect. Such a cool design and great difficulty curve. But the customer service was the best bit. The guy who attended us- Quentin, I think it was- treated us so well. He made everything so much better. 100% would recommend.

After doing more than 20 escape games, this one was one of the worst (we did Jack the ripper). It's a franchised escape room, the immersion is really not good, lots of locks that's are not part of the game, items you're not supposed to move or to step on it (but you do actually have to step on it), decoration are pretty cheap, we had an air breazer (thanks you Rexona) left in a room as display, great for immersion! Don't go for this escape game there are far better ones.

I stayed here for about 8 days and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff were kind and welcoming. While it doesn’t look like a typical hotel and wasn’t exactly what we expected, it has a special charm. Simplicity, cleanliness, quietness, and a close connection to nature make it a unique and relaxing place to stay.

The location is quiet and beautiful--away from the busyness of the city. One of our favorite things was walking down the road to the botanical gardens near the lake. The room itself was small as others have described. Also quite warm, but the windows can be opened. Beds are quite soft and have a combined blanket and sheet. I found it too warm for just a sheet, but too warm for a blanket. Breakfast was light, but good with a couple kinds of toast, meat, cheese, and cereal.

I wanted to go to a good hotel, and my first thought was that this place is great (well, maybe except of the new testament left in my room), but then the key in the toilet stopped working. If you want to get stuck in toilet for about 15 minutes then this place is great for you, if you wanna go to a nice hotel, better look for something different. In the bathroom, the shower fell on my head TWO TIMES! Here is the worst breakfast you can find anywhere. I do not recommend.

I enjoyed my stay here. I was received well lady at the reception as well as all the staff. I especially liked the kitchen staff who went out of her way to explain to me some of the meals and the prices. I ordered the meal of the day which was rice and fish. The rooms are sufficient and moderately priced given the location and purpose of the establishment. The gardens are an awesome sight any time of the day and a joy to joggers.

Rooms were clean and nice. Food cooked by the staff there for the vegan options was always bathed in oil, regardless of what kind of cuisine. It was obvious they did not really know what to make. No other kitchen facilities available for use except a dirty microwave and equally dirty kettle who someone cooked eggs in while I was there. Fridge boxes are available. Good location to UN and public transport. Really it’s just the kitchen facilities which are so bad.

Oh my I lived this place. In the heart of the old town within a very popular area but sort of slightly removed so vety relaxing. We couldn't believe it when we left as just a few paces took us to a babbling hubbub of noise that we had been totally unaware of. Really friendly staff who were happy to suggest food and drink, no English so you will need a little French or just be bold and go for the suggestions! They don't hurry you out but allow you to really relax and take your time. If you hate smoking then maybe this isn't the place for you and we were pretty much the only table not with at least one smoker or vapor on it. I didn't mind and to be honest if you visit this city hating smoking around you then more fool you as it is simply the wrong place to head. I am definitely going to return to this bar as it us wonderful.

Horrible experience, really disappointed with this place. It was only 7.15 in the evening. The waiter started telling us that he could not do any juice as it was too much work to clean the machine, so they stopped them at 5pm. Then he told us he had nothing to eat or to nibble that night, except for some hot camembert with bread. We accepted. There was only another table with 2 people there. So, we were 4 people. The waiter forgot us and left us suddenly without any mysic for over 30 minutes. I finally went to find him and he told us that he was talking with "customers" outside, shoping them pictures of the week before and that he couldn t play mysic at the bar at the same time. He put music back on but it was unbearably loud and he said he didn t know how to balance the sound. Our camembert from the cheapest shop with nothing else in it and maybe outdated arrived with... Horrible toasted cheap toast bread, not even with real bread. Finally, we decided to leave and as we got to the counter, we notivmced the waiter had to white creamy dripping spots on his chin and under his lower lip. We suspected he had finished our d8sgusting dish but no, we were not quite there... he despicably enough told us he had some herpes due to too many drinks etc... we didn t want to know and paid quickly until he told us he could not give us a receipt as there was no paper to print any out... unfortunately this cafe is on a famous square in Geneva. Pass your way, it was nightmarish
Suphie G — Google review
Service was spasmodic at best, and at worst non-existant. Unfortunately the one waiter that was actually working (the other just sat and smoked) seemed unable to handle the eight customers that were sitting there. Two couples left, perhaps because they were never served, perhaps because they were promised that food was available, despite the fact that the waiter knew they would have to wait 50 minutes for the kitchen to open. Half of the tapas menu was unavailable, and what did arrive was small (and too much sauce for the little bread provided). The array of food and drink seems eclectic, ranging from swiss tapas to sushi hotdogs…and a suspiciously homemade bubble tea. Tapenade was good. Overall, the profoundly amateur vibe given off by the cafe portrays an establishment where the owners care more about the optics than the substance.

This hotel and his owner is a real gem in Geneva. My husband and I had a Deluxe Double Room Studio, and we enjoyed it very much. The room was very nicely decorated and absolutely clean. The bed was new and super comfortable and the bathroom large and modern. The studio is split into two parts each with its own (large) TV, equipped with a full kitchen, sofa, and very pleasant lighting. The hotel is perfectly located within Geneva in a beautiful area with many cafes, restaurants and shops, ideal for vacation and sightseeing. Many attractions are within a short walking distance, otherwise the excellent bus and tram system is very close and easy to use. As a tourist you get a ticket from the hotel that allows you to use public transportation for free. The owner of the hotel is a super kind person, who does everything to make his guests feel comfortable and well. He helped us a lot during our stay in Geneva, gave great tipps and advice and was always available for questions or help. This hotel is a true gem in Geneva. We will definitely stay there again during our next trip to Geneva (a beautiful city). Highly recommended hotel!!!!

Nice hotel, very clean. The design of the rooms and lobby is excellent. Location is great with good shops near by. Complimentary water is nice considering how expensive bottled water is to buy. However the on-site parking is a joke. We were delayed by nearly 40 minutes because the receptionist was unable to move the car parked behind us. Give that it's 20CHF to use the parking better service is expected. Also the bathroom door is just a sliding piece of glass with a hole for a handle. It isn't the most private..

Great service and good for kids. We arrived jet lagged with an over-tired 2 year old, a grumpy 2 month old and our massive double pram. The staff let us unleash our family chaos in the reception area without batting an eyelid. They then sorted us out with an early check in and a cot (at a small extra cost). We stayed in the two bedroom apartment which was confortable for our family of 4, plus 2 extra adults who stayed with us for 2 nights (we were able to fit both small children in our bedroom). Location is good, within walking distance to many interesting parts of Geneva and with great tram connections. Not cheap, but nothing in Geneva is, and this place seemed to us to be worth it.

The area next to the hotel quiet and clean of a love to walk to admire the beauty of architecture in all colors - a dream city. The location of the hotel is excellent and well connected to the rest of the city, and the breakfast has something for everyone. Overall, I would definitely recommend it.
