Restaurant
Dolma Restaurant in Baku offers a taste of Lebanese dishes with a unique Azerbaijani twist. The menu features stuffed vegetables and vine or cabbage leaves filled with a delicious mixture of meat and vegetables. Guests can savor the different variations, each offering its own distinct flavor profile. The restaurant is known for serving the best dolma in town, prepared with Italian culinary expertise. Visitors praise the exceptional service that ensures a satisfying dining experience.
Excellent place in Nezami area of Baku . Underground place which its entrance can be easily missed . It was strongly recommended as best place for Dolma . We tried different traditional dishes. My family enjoyed it . The service was exceptional, food was tasty. Nice place to eat and be able to enjoy the history of the city . Expensive in comparison to others but worth it .
Dr D — Google review
The restaurant had a nice atmosphere with live music and a vibe that tried to capture an authentic, underground feel. The menu featured local options, which tasted quite good, though the overall feel was a bit more commercial. Service was good.
Julia K — Google review
Really enjoyed my experience here. We were a table of two and we were having quite an early lunch. The restaurant was pretty much empty and we were given a table by the corridor. Having an empty restaurant is never a comfortable experience and with the staff standing by your table and talking all the time, even less so. But regardless we've enjoyed our experience. The food was lovely. We perhaps ordered too much food. But everything was delicious. Definitely recommend this restaurant and will comeback whenever I return to Baku
Bruno F — Google review
Well, good place, pilaf is outstanding, rich menu. Live music is amazing, very authentic. Interior is amazing, the only disadvantage is the tables located near the main corridor, people and waiters are passing by, and sometimes contacting you phisycally. Because it is underground level, no mobile connetction, but they provide a free wifi. I suggest this place, choose inner tables, thats it.
Bauyrzhan K — Google review
A must-visit restaurant if you are around Nizami Street. I have been waiting for this day to try their cuisine, and I am in love with how tasty it was. I ordered the tenderloin in cherry sauce and Shirin Pilaf, and to my surprise, it turned out to be one of the most amazing steaks ever!
Marvi A — Google review
This is a restaurant in a cellar. The waiter was friendly and the service was good, but the food was average. I had chicken in a cherry sauce which was fine, but they rustic chips were over cooked. I probably wouldn't go back again.
Slamdunk F — Google review
Good restaurant. Authentic food. Great flavors. Enjoyed the chops and the Lula kebab, alongside the dushbara soup
Steven K — Google review
The food is good here. The decorations are beautiful and historical. Many thanks to the waiter, Ilkin, who has been friendly and helpful the whole night. Highly recommend the place!

Nestled between the majestic mountains and the shimmering sea, Lankaran is a culinary gem that showcases a unique blend of Talysh and Azerbaijani flavors. Among its most celebrated dishes is lavangi, an exquisite creation featuring either fish or chicken generously stuffed with a delightful mixture of walnuts, raisins, onions, sumac, green cherry plums (alcha), and pomegranate molasses (narsharab).
I was there with my colleagues, tried "lavangi", "plov", "manqal salatı" and "kompot" for drink. And we drank tea from Lankaran. Everything was tasty. Recommend this place.

Qutab, a delightful Azerbaijani specialty, is a savory stuffed pancake that takes your taste buds on an unforgettable journey. This dish features a crispy moon-shaped flatbread filled with an array of ingredients such as minced meat, local cheese, and fresh spinach or pumpkin. The dough is skillfully rolled out thinly and brushed generously with butter before being folded into a half-moon shape and cooked to perfection on a convex griddle until it achieves that perfect golden-brown color.

(Translated by Google) We had called and booked a family room in advance. It was a general office for 16 people. It is possible to enter the yard by car. There is plenty of parking space. There was even a small playground for children. Can be used in hot weather. I took pictures in the toilet. It was clean. I don't know if it was clean because there were few people on the day we visited or it's always like that. We connected Wifi in the cabinet but could not use it. Internet did not come to the TV, it did not open YouTube. Then we wanted to connect the speaker and the device for music that was with him, but his bluetooth did not work. In the end, we were able to share and use our own internet for TV. When it comes to food. Portions are very small. We ordered a basket. The children did not like the taste of the basket either. It was not fully cooked or the animal was tough because it was an old animal. The prices are outrageous. It was very expensive. For example, water costs 5-7 manats, beer costs 9 manats, beef with cherries costs 17 manats, and a basket costs 80 manats. Plus there is a 10% service fee. Maybe the price is normal for foreigners. Probably one of the restaurants that you go to once) (Original) Ailəvi bir kabineti öncədən zəng edib bron etmişdik. 16 nəfərlik ümumi kabinet idi. Maşınla həyətə daxil olmaq mümkündür. Bilmirəm baş çəkdiyimiz gün adam az idi deyə təmiz idi ya elə həmişə belə olur. Kabinetdə Wifi qoşulduq amma istifadə edə bilmədik. TVyə də internet gəlmirdi adi youtube açmırdı. Sonra yanında olan musiqi üçün kalonka və aparatı qoşmaq istədik onun da bluetooth işləmirdi. Axırda TVyə öz internetimizdən paylaşıb istifadə edə bildik. Yeməklərə gəldikdə. The food was good but if you are 3 persons and taking breakfast for 2 (because they did not have breakfast for 3) it is not enough. They don’t have breakfast set in the menu so that, you don’t know what is gonna happen. We saw the breakfast set in instagram but unfortunately it wasn’t same at the restaurant. Also the administration was rude. The music was very loud so we wanted to shut down the tv. But he came back and turned on tv with behaviour.Service was good but waiters were checking us too frequently like if you eat then pay and go.

Amazing restaurant with great food and really great staff. Ismayel helped us with choosing the right delicious food, he was always very careful with everything and always made sure we have enough on the table and the service is great. Service overall was fast and food came presented beautifully!

The food here is genuinely good, and I highly recommend trying the soup—it was definitely the highlight of the meal! Most of the staff were nice, especially Babek, who offered excellent service. The overall service was okay, though there was a slip-up with my order: my drink only arrived when I reminded them and by that point, I had almost finished my food. A bit more attention to order fulfillment would make the experience perfect.

A beautifully decorated restaurant. It really feels like dining in a cave, with many decorations and paintings. Good for photo taking. Ordered mangal Salad, cabbage dorma and Shakh Pilaf. Mangal Salad was delicious, balanced taste. Cabbage dorma was delicious, the meat was juicy. Shakh Pilaf was quite good. The bread and rice were fragrant and buttery. Nicely accompanied with sweet taste from the fruits. Might be dry for some people, try to order sauce or soup if needed. Services were Okay. Some staff were really friendly and polite, while some looked tired always. Highly recommended for their restaurant setting, delicious foods and affordable prices.

SAHiL Bar & Restaurant is a modern Caspian dining spot located on Bulvar. The restaurant offers expertly prepared dishes and a selection of fine wines in a relaxed setting. While the atmosphere could be improved, the friendly staff ensures an enjoyable experience. In addition to typical Azeri dishes like kebabs and tea, SAHiL provides an opportunity to savor the flavors of Azerbaijan while also learning about its culture.
Fancy place in a great location. On the sea boulevard, close to The Old City, I wouldn’t expect less than this. And they do provide an experience. Food selection is big enough and has plenty of local and classic dishes. Staff can provide an explanation for foreigners like us , to assist with picking from the menu. Looks like all the staff speaks some level of English and Russian. Dinning hall design looks solid and gives you a feeling of a high end restaurant, at least it tries to. Separate shaupou to whoever made a men restroom design and sound design :) nice addition. A decent place to come for a dinner, with decent prices and nice food

The place is really good. The ambiance is amazing with modern, traditional, and natural touch. The staffs were very hospitable and gave good recommendations. The food overall was very good. The tuna salad was fresh with a good amount of everything. The juices were refreshing and perfect blend of not too sweet. They have a very wide variety of wine selection as well.

I came here alone and had an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious — exactly what I was craving! But what stood out the most was the service, especially from the waiter Murad. He was incredibly respectful, kind, and professional. Always smiling, very attentive, and quick to understand what I needed without even asking. Such genuine hospitality is rare to find. Thank you for making my solo dinner feel special. I’ll definitely be coming back!

A must-try is the Orubad rolls, a cold dish consisting of greens, sour cream, and nuts.
Very nice restaurant in modern style, with great food and service. I had lunch (soup + dolma) which were delicious and if I stayed in Baku for longer, I would definitely come back and try more options from their menu.

Had lunch in this restaurant. We had Olives, Pimento and cheese with our bread for starters. Fried Eggplant and Zucchini for warm appetizers and Lamb Saj for our main. We finished the meal with Profiteroles. The service was attentive and helpful. The food was served fast and the plating of all the dishes were nicely done. The ambience was cozy and homey. The dishes we ordered were all good. The olives with cheese were very good way to start. The eggplant and zucchini was very crunchy . The Lamb Saj was very tasty. The Profiteroles was a great way to end the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We (group of 5) went there for breakfast during the weekend. They open at 10am, so we had to wait till 10:30-11:00 to have breakfast. Although atmosphere and service is good below I would like to highlight what we didn't like: - No parking place of the restaurant! - They prefer to accept orders only for breakfast sets (which has a unnecessary foods like condensed milk or nutella, which has small portions and very pricy) - We ordered just omelets, tea, coffee, sirniki and some weird desert called "Apple Pakhlava" (apple wrapped in dough the taste was sour). - Orders came late, extremely small portions and high prices.

Our first stop in Baku for food. We tried the tomato and red onion salad, which became a staple at dinner for the rest of the trip. The Kebabs mixed grill and a soup. Tea, jam and Compote were had as well. Everything was Delicious but very expensive compared to other meals we had in AZ.

RO Pakhlava (RemziOghlu) is a traditional Azerbaijani sweet treat enjoyed during the Novruz festival and available year-round. Similar to Turkish baklava, it's a rich, sweet pastry made with layers of nuts, honey or sugar, and spices like cardamom or clove. This delicacy pairs perfectly with strong black tea commonly consumed in Azerbaijan.
This is one of the top Turkish restaurants with a wide variety of baklava in Baku. We tried the “cold”, “sarma” and “midye”, all of which were clean and fresh. The only drawback was the pricing—six pieces of baklava cost nearly 40 AZN, which is about 750 TL. Honestly, it was quite expensive, but worth the taste.

Lovely solo dinner I had! The crispy artichoke was the most delicious eggplant I have eaten ever. The meats were served well and juicy. Nemet was my server. He was kind and friendly which you don’t always see at other restaurants in Baku. The ambiance was great the price was reasonable. My 2 dishes total was $44. I would come back again with friends this time.

Unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. We inquired with the waiter about the food portion, as shown in the photo (rice outside dough), and asked if it was suitable for two people cause we didn’t waste any food. He replied that it was intended for two. However, the portion we received was probably enough for six people. It was somewhat disappointing because it felt a bit like a scam, especially considering the price we ordered, since we were two people. The taste was quite bland, but on the bright side, the interior was nice! Overall, a bit of a letdown.

If you are a tourist the best time to come is breakfast it tends to not be as crowded with much more pleasant atmosphere. Great breakfast choices. Try to avoid later hours for it does get pack here and be mindful of locals they will stare at you while you eat if you are in an interracial relationship. The 2nd time we came here for brunch was absolutely uncomfortable 😣 they sat us next to a table of four local females who constantly were turning around looking at us in disbelief of being together and through language similarities to Turkish they made comments of me being in my current relationship for money. Although I work in healthcare and not the case. We understand restaurants have no control of clients but when our waiter participated in the conversation also chiming it was absolutely disheartening to hear xenophobic and colorist remarks about my fiancée.

We had a lovely lunch at Chinar Baku, one of the most premium Asian restaurants in the city. The atmosphere was elegant and vibrant, and the staff were highly professional and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, we tried a variety of dishes and enjoyed every single bite. Personally, I preferred the meat dishes the most; they were exceptionally flavorful and perfectly cooked, even though the chicken and seafood options were also very good. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Baku. Reservation is highly recommended.

Visisted this place for my bday lunch as nothing satisfies me more than a good Asian meal. The ambience impressed me when I entered but the food (for vegetarians) was a total disappointment. They do have a separate menu for vegetarian but few of the dishes were not available and I was left flabbergasted when the server asked me if it was ok to add oyster sauce in my noodle (duh!) No attempts were made to customise the dishes for us. The dishes which we ordered tasted well below average and the server admitted that vegetarian food is not their USP. Neways this lunch didn’t turn out to be the way we expected. Do I recommend this place for vegetarian- absolutely no.

I visited this restaurant for lunch today with my colleagues. Unfortunately, we found a worm in the soup that was served to us. It was very disappointing and concerning from a hygiene and food safety perspective. Although we quietly asked to change the dish, and the staff did replace it without making a fuss, we were still charged the full price, including the service fee — as if nothing had happened. No apology or any compensation was offered. This kind of experience really affects customer trust. I hope the management takes food hygiene more seriously in the future. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

The restaurant is well decorated, with food above average and nicely presented. Mr. Numan, the waiter, is very professional, friendly, and helpful. Without him, I might have given only 3 stars for this restaurant, mainly because of the chef, who rewound my steak. I ordered it medium well, but he cooked it as well done. The restaurant is expensive, but considering the location, atmosphere, and service apart from the chef, it's worth trying.

Loved the atmosphere! Me and my friends gathered together to celebrate a birthday (we were 6 people). Staff were nice, so polite. The only thing that i didnt like was that we waited about half an hour for our meal to arrive, but imo it was worth it. Its a great place if you like Russian cuisine.

This is one of my absolutely favorite restaurants in Baku! If you’re craving Russian food, this is the right place to go. The restaurant is located in the center of Baku; it’s easy to find, and its location is very convenient. The restaurant is beautifully designed in a traditional Russian style, with plenty of cute authentic details like decor elements, pictures, sculptures; and even the waiters wear traditional Russian-style uniforms and aprons. Aesthetically, this restaurant is just PERFECTION – even down to the beautiful plates they serve the food on. I also love the Russian music they usually play; it’s always at the right volume, so you can easily talk if you’re visiting with someone. The restaurant has a large indoor area with several different dining rooms, plus an outdoor section – perfect for hanging out when the Baku weather is nice and warm. All kinds of tables are available, and I especially love that many tables have very comfortable soft sofa chairs. The staff here are always extremely polite, friendly, and sweet. I’ve visited the restaurant many times, and not a single waiter has ever been rude or impolite.Of course, everyone speaks Russian here, but their English is also good. The restaurant’s menu is large and includes all the traditional and famous Russian dishes, plus a few international options. There’s also an English version of the menu, which is a big plus. I’ve tried many items over time – Siberian pelmeni (Russian beef dumplings), chicken schnitzel, chicken Kiev cutlet, draniki with mushrooms, pirozhki with various fillings, Russian Olivier salad, Caesar salad, burger, and more. Honestly: I have never had bad food! All the dishes were always freshly made and super delicious! But if I had to pick a combo that always makes me happy, it’s Olivier salad with Siberian beef pelmeni. These two go perfectly together and make just the right amount of food to feel full. By the way, the portion sizes at Mari Vanna are just right – generous but not wasteful, nothing too small or overly large. The restaurant offers a nice dessert selection. I’ve personally tried three: Kyiv cake, honey-sour cream cake, and Napoleon cake. All three were extremely delicious! The restaurant also has a great variety of soft drinks, and I especially love their lemonades with different flavors. My favorites are the tarragon lemonade and the tropical lemonade. I also love ordering mors and kompot. When I come for dinner, I sometimes order their thyme tea – its flavor is fantastic! By the way, most of the drinks are available in different sizes. There is also a kids’ menu available, and I’ve noticed many families with children here. I also love that the restaurant sells its own frozen food, like pelmeni and vareniki to take home. Prices at Mari Vanna are on the higher side but still reasonable for the excellent food quality and the overall wonderful experience at the restaurant. For example, my lunch with a starter or salad, a main dish, and a drink usually comes to around $25. When I come for dinner, my check is usually around $35 for the same items plus a dessert. The restaurant accepts all major credit cards and Apple Pay. Free Wi-Fi is also available here – just ask your waiter for the password. Based on my experience, the restaurant is usually busy no matter the time, so better make a reservation! Whether you’re visiting Baku or simply looking for Russian food in the city, I strongly recommend checking out Mari Vanna. Trust me, you’ll have a fantastic experience and remember this place forever!

Nice food, acceptable service. When I found out that I couldn't order what I wanted due to allergy, I was proposed one of the most expensive positions in the menu and not very relevant to what I wanted. But the atmosphere is nice and the food was quite tasty.
Alexandra A — Google review
The atmosphere here is incredible – an eclectic, overdesigned Russian restaurant where every single corner is carefully curated. The space is huge, vibrant, and full of character. We were a group of five and shared many dishes. To start, we each had a shot of vodka infused with blackberry and raspberry, followed by two bottles of plain vodka enjoyed in small glasses with plenty of toasts. Between courses, the house pickles were excellent and refreshing. For food, we tried foie gras and a charcuterie plate – tasty, though not the highlight for me. The Russian salad and the beetroot salad, on the other hand, were absolutely delicious. To finish, we shared Napoleon and Medovik cakes, both of which were excellent and a perfect ending to the meal.

Shirvanshah Museum Restaurant offers a unique dining experience in Baku, as it doubles as a museum showcasing the city's history. Housed in a building from the late 19th century, this restaurant allows guests to savor delicious Azerbaijani dishes while immersing themselves in the country's rich cultural heritage. The expansive space features various themed dining rooms and corridors, with an impressive collection of antiques and curiosities that rival those found in actual history museums.
We had an amazing experience! Although we didn’t have a reservation, the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The food was absolutely wonderful, flawless from start to finish. Having tried many restaurants in Baku, I can confidently say this one stands out as number one for its high-quality ingredients and exceptional taste. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Beautifully located within a historic museum setting, this restaurant offers an elevated dining experience. The menu features delicious local dishes, served with a traditional touch, and guests can also enjoy cultural performances that enhance the atmosphere. The staff are friendly, and a museum tour with Khaled after dinner is highly recommended. A great combination of history and cuisine.

Incredible restaurant! This was easily one of our favorite meals in Baku.🙌 The atmosphere is just amazing—with beautiful decorations, live music, and a fun, lively vibe that makes the whole experience feel so authentic. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were super friendly and gave us great recommendations. We were also pleasantly surprised by the prices, which felt a bit lower than average for the city. The portions are huge, so it’s perfect for sharing with a group. I strongly recommend booking a table in advance if you're planning on having dinner, as it gets very busy!

One of the most famous local traditional restaurants in the heart of Baku. You will never get tired looking at the antiques all around you. The food nevertheless is great, delicious, and well cooked.

An outstanding restaurant concept. You are literally eating inside a museum. They have 3 stories of historical artifacts which outline the history of the region including the Soviet Union history. Guests can walk around the restaurant with it multiple seating rooms to glimpse into the history of the region. The food served is very good and there is also good music coupled with a traditional dance. Even if you are only in Baku for a couple of days, do visit this restaurant to experience the history of Baku in a concentrated form within a short time period.

Good food (fish is best). Good service. Prices are high, but it is elite restaurant in elite hotel so its understandable.

Very good balance of simplicity and sophistication. The Adana kebab was something unforgettable. The passion fruit lemonade took me to the Caribbeans. The pistachio cheesecake was special. I loved Orkhan’s top-grade service and exquisite attention to the customer. That makes a whole difference in someone’s experience and is a rare find (especially for someone like me coming from Washington D.C. where service standards have collapsed after Covid).

Great service, nice atmosphere, good food.
Michal D — Google review
While Fireworks Urban Kitchen offers a great vibe and stunning terrace views, my dining experience was a mixed bag. The staff was attentive and professional. However, the main course was underwhelming, with my steak being overcooked and lacking flavor, not justifying the high price point. The desserts, on the other hand, were delightful. Unfortunately, the main course impacted the overall experience, earning a 3-star rating.

One disappointment after the other. Shortly after arriving, there was an electrical issue, which meant the music went out, draining the place of any ambience, added by a spotlight onto our table, which felt like eating under a floresent light. The calamari starter was soggy, and the sea bass was cold. None of the above was acknowledged by the Team.

It's an ideal place for a memorable evening with friends and a great choice for trying originally prepared national dishes in a sophisticated setting.
First of all I liked the service: professional demeanor. Waiter Elvin explained us the menu, asked if everything is fine. I took Raf coffee and syrniki and it was worth it to try. They work only until 11am-12am but I highly recommend this place for your breakfast. ;) tessekür

This is a beautifully decorated restaurant in city center. After spending almost a week in Baku, I felt like having some non local food. I'm glad I picked Latitude. Service was friendly and prompt. The manager, Nahid, came by and asked if everything was to my satisfaction. I ordered their duck dish, roasted vegetables and tea ice cream. Everything was delicious. One of the best meals I've had in Baku so far.

Visited June 2025 On the promenade the restaurant has a relaxed, comfortable feel with a touch of the tropics in its architecture. The menus were a little hard to understand for English speakers but that was our fault for not understanding the language - having said that the service was excellent. The food was enjoyable.

The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere with a stunning view, which made the experience very pleasant. The main dish was flavorful and enjoyable overall, but there were a few downsides. The rice was slightly undercooked and the meat could have been more tender. While the quality of the food was good, the prices felt relatively high compared to what was offered

If you're on the hunt for a delightful sushi experience, Sushi Room Baku is your go-to destination. Nestled in the heart of Baku's historical center, this charming eatery boasts an impressive array of sushi options, including futomaki, uramaki, and nigiri. For those looking to share with friends or family, the Ebimania set paired with a Mini Flaqman set makes for a perfect choice. The ambiance is inviting and complements their menu well.
Excellent service, decent sushi, good prices. I can only recommended the introduction of a few more seafood only sushi sets to the mix, the current selection often includes some rolls with chicken and if one does not eat chicken, it becomes harder to pick such sets. The drink selection can be improved too but it is hardly necessary for a place of this kind. Definitely recommended.
Mustafa K — Google review
It’s just cream cheese stuffed dry rice rolls. It We ordered 3 different types of sushi and nigiri. Even the soya sauce and wasabi couldn’t improve it because it tasted like nothing. Waste of money… How did they get so many 5 stars ??? I had all types of sushi around the world. But this was truly the worst. Baku has actually awesome restaurants specially for sushi.

Miad H — Google review
The people are very nice, and kind. Food took 45 minutes, and everything is with cheese. If you have some sort of standard for sushi, then it's very very far off. Im not saying it to hurt the business, but to save you the experience. In Baku the best food is the local one.
Ron A — Google review
Everything was great. The service was excellent. I really liked Philadelphia. The rice was cooked correctly, and the roll did not fall apart. The tom yam was moderately spicy and tasty. If it is possible, I will definitely return to this restaurant!
Sergei Z — Google review
Strolled into Sushi Room with my hopes as high as the Flame Towers, ready for a culinary adventure in the land of 4.9 stars. Left with my hopes a bit more akin to the Maiden Tower—still standing, but a little weathered. Let's talk about it. The vegan set, with its 24 pieces, felt like an ode to the many shades of... well, the same flavor. It was as if they were playing a game of 'Guess the Ingredient,' with the avocado impersonating a rock in a grand performance. Spoiler: the rock won. The hot salmon roll, however, was the hero we didn't know we needed. A delicious plot twist in our dining saga, creative and well-crafted, like a piece of art you can eat. But alas, where was the tea? A sushi place without tea is like Baku without its winds—just doesn't feel quite right. In the grand tapestry of dining experiences, Sushi Room is a vibrant thread. Not perfect, but adds to the rich pattern. So, with a touch of generosity, we're casting our vote for a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Cheers to the sushi that rocked and rolled its way into our hearts (and our critiques).
Ruben D — Google review
Nice cozy atmosphere, we tried sushi set there. The taste is good, but I liked maybe 80% of sushi, not all) Rolls with crab stick is so weird tbh 🥴 in -1 floor people were smoking and it’s not good thing for such closed area. Also would be great if they had some green teas in the menu !

Visited the bar last year with colleagues (2024) but was brief due to unforeseen circumstances within our party. The management dealt with it swiftly and with compassion, so, whilst revisiting Baku again this year, I decided to revisit this bar and found it. The vibe is lovely, chilled and trendy and the place itself is so clean. I highly recommend !!

We dumped into this restaurant by coincidence. We were very positively surprised. Bought lots of different Aserbajdsjanish dishes and it tastes hilarious. Great service too. Could definitely go back. If you want value for money and good food, go here. We bought A LOT.

Lovely place. When we went in though, there was no one to greet us. Then, the waiter came from outside. The food was good. Just the Mangla salad was too spicy even though I made sure to tell them not to make it spicy and they assured us they can take that into account, but unfortunately, they didn't. However, they deducted it from our bill.

What a nice place. Modern interior with lovely art and traditional elements. Amazing service - the waiter's English fluency is definitely better than mine and the service is so attentive and at the same time discreet. Food: Next wow. Everything tasted so good. Our starters humus and ezme, the freshly made hot buns, the perfectly seasoned mushroom cream soup and the pomegranate lamb govurma were a real treat. Especially the lamb meat was great - not overcooked, not raw, not tough as leather, not oversalted, no - just the way how perfectly cooked meat should taste like. Even Guga would approve. Man, how did I miss properly seasoned meat cooked on point in this city. I really hope this aha-experience is not a nine-day wonder and they'll keep their standards. Will definitely try again. Only minus points are relatively high alcohol prices (local wine about 35-40 AZN/btl., international wines about double the price) and a 10 % service charge added to your bill. But food prices are absolutely fair - you'll pay 2x as much for far worse quality in the city center.

Honestly, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences we've ever had. Part of my work involves recommending places to visit, and I can confidently say that this is one place I would not recommend at all. It took 50 minutes for the food to arrive, and when it finally did, it was completely tasteless. Additionally, they claimed they did not accept card payments, just cash, even though just minutes earlier we saw another customer pay with a card. When we asked for the bill, they charged us nearly two times more than expected. Our order should have cost 70 manats, but they charged us 120. When we asked for clarification, the staff initially totaled the correct amount (70 manats) on the calculator, but then started adding random charges without explanation.

So many international options! The georgian dumplings were yummy. The beyond meat shaurma was fantastic. The garlic sauce is great and she’ll ask you every time if you want some so just say yes. The kabob is the same old sold at love by Veganizer in the city so you can also just buy that and make it yourself. The service isn’t very kind or friendly and the space is small, nevertheless, the food is nice.

We had a delightful experience at this pure vegetarian restaurant in Baku, which serves some of the best dishes from various cuisines around the world. We tried the signature “de Rama” rice bowl with fresh paneer and finely chopped tomatoes and cucumbers, along with hummus and rice and a tomato soup that was thick, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying — honestly, the best tomato soup I’ve ever had! The restaurant has a warm, homely vibe with a hint of Hindu god statues, scriptures, and paintings, creating a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. The owner, a devoted follower of Lord Krishna, adds to the authenticity and charm of the place. To make the experience even more special, the owner treated us to a refreshing betel leaf paan from Mumbai, which was a perfect finishing touch. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable dining experience — highly recommended!

The Heaven for Vegetarians & Vegans Amazing vibes, great food, magic of chef Vladimir who ensures that your meal is customised exactly as per your taste buds. We had ordered dal fry, paneer tikka masala with rice which had ethnic Indian taste, while the vegetable curry had a hint of indo-western taste, hand rolled chapati in Baku is a rare experience. Davud & Nihad warmly greets all guests & ensures all details of the meal like vegan, spice level, oil or without oil everything is customised as per guest preferences...

Xəngəland is a delightful culinary destination that showcases the beloved dish known as khingal, which can be found in various forms across different cultures. This Azerbaijani specialty features thick, flat wheat noodles made fresh on-site and paired with rich lamb mince enhanced by tomato and garlic-infused yogurt. The restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere where you can enjoy a set meal for two that includes both local and Georgian variations of khingal, along with drinks and sauces.
A wonderful place that I enjoyed returning to again and again. Excellent staff, delicious food, and good prices

Visited with my wife. Not expensive, tasty and comfy. Waiters are nice to customers. It is easily reachable in the city busy area.
Azim H — Google review
The food was incredible! Loved every bit of it. Highly recommend everything, and drink some kampot!
Matheus B — Google review
Here, everything is average. It's neither great nor bad. The portion of yarpag khangali is good, but I didn’t like being served with pomegranate without asking for my opinion. Not everyone likes pomegranate with their food, and asking about it when taking the order shouldn’t be that difficult. The Georgian khangali is good, not wow, but that's understandable because this is not Georgian cuisine:))
Ilkay A — Google review
It's horrible place, I will never return! The waiter demands tips almost by force. Mediocre service, nobody speaks English. The menu is limited and wrong. For example it's written:"Lobiani" but it's not beans. Loud music.👎🏻
Luay E — Google review
Nice khingal restaurant offering great georgian khingal. We ordered their khingal set for two people, costing 29 manat. It included georgian khingal, local khingal, assorty, drink, and some souces. I enjoyed the food and service. It was fast, and you did not need to wait for food. However, the problem with the restaurant was that you could not book a table unless it was cabinet (which needed some deposit). So, you will probably wait outside of the restaurant in rush hours.

Incredible staff, great local food, some of the employees speak slightly English which is helpful! Very friendly staff and very helpful. Very reasonable prices. Pizza 10 Manat, steak 16 Manat, wine 8 Manat, Hummus 4 Manat…
Meed H — Google review
Due to high traffic, I wanted to rest and have some food there. I ordered a Georgian salad, xengel with extra meat and extra yogurt, and Sirab sparkling water. The salad wasn’t very Georgian, but it was fine. The meat wasn’t that good—it tasted like a mix of beef and offal. At the end, I asked to pay by card, but they said the POS terminal wasn’t working, that it needed to be sent for service, and I could only pay by card to card transfer. When I checked the bill, I noticed that instead of Sirab, they had added a different sparkling water (Kobi). When I pointed it out, the waiter insisted the price was the same. I asked him to show me I was sure about the price, and he made up an excuse, saying there was no price for Sirab on the menu, but in fact, there was. I don’t understand what they gain by trying to fool a customer over 50 qepiks. I will never be back.

Agabala is a restaurant that offers an immersive experience into 19th-century Azerbaijani cuisine, blending national culture and traditional flavors. The menu reflects the country's history and diverse culinary elements, showcasing folk cooking techniques and traditional dish presentation. With its great location, well-designed space, excellent service, and outstanding food and wine selection, Agabala provides a must-visit dining experience for those looking to savor authentic Azerbaijani cuisine in a culturally rich setting.
This place is a combination of nostalgic and modern touches. Sevond floor has amazing view and it is both private and social, which was perfect for taking photos and having fun. Service is great. Food has unique taste. Since it is combination of traditional cuisine and fine dining, you may feel lost between thdm. But overall quaility is at its best. Thank you to administration and waiters.

Beautiful space with total yesterday feel, ghod food and good service. But! If you are american, barely english speaking and both our anex and us vida cards didn't work... No help with menu but we chose server recs which including wine very good. We showed up on a sat nite 7:30 reservation, and almost 2hrs later, we literally were the only customers. Enjoyed our meal and local wine, and luckily has local currency because other than our $100 bill, nothing else worked, questionable 20s! Not sure what one if the best rated Baku restaurants was son complicated, but really comprimised our dining experirnce. A beautiful space truly underwhelmed experience. And a great menu detailing allergy potential issues. Very impressive but poor delivery.

I had the pleasure of visiting Agabala Restaurant in Baku today, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. I went for breakfast, and I can confidently say it was the most delicious and unique breakfast I’ve had in the city. The menu immediately caught my attention — it included traditional and rare dishes that I haven’t seen anywhere else, which made the dining experience even more special. When the food arrived, it was so incredibly tasty that I didn’t even think of taking pictures — I just enjoyed every bite. The interior design of the restaurant is simply stunning, combining elegance with a warm atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. After finishing my meal, I was so impressed that I couldn’t resist capturing some photos of the interior instead. Overall, Agabala Restaurant offers not only exceptional food but also a beautiful ambiance that makes it stand out in Baku. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable dining experience.

We were sat in the centre of the beautiful room “Absheron” which was hand painted floor to ceiling with a mural of wine and fig leaves and beautiful faces. The decoration was exquisite. During our meal the front of house and head chef greeted us and asked our experience. Each dish in the menu is unique and tells a story of the local history and natural geography. Great restaurant for lamb meat lovers.

When exploring the culinary delights of Azerbaijan, don't miss out on trying sherbet, a beloved beverage that combines boiled water, lemon, and sugar for a refreshing experience. You can opt for either milk or fruit variations served over ice—perfect for quenching your thirst. Alongside this delightful drink, indulge in an array of Turkish sweets at local spots where you can savor fresh baklava and knafeh. While some dishes may need slight adjustments to enhance their flavor, the overall selection is impressive.
Nice place for tea and bahlava in a cold evening. The knafe was bit oily...service is good. They don't charge for service like other places. Accept credit card but won't accept the tip via card, so for service you gotta leave cash.
