Well, good place, pilaf is outstanding, rich menu. Live music is amazing, very authentic. Interior is amazing, the only disadvantage is the tables located near the main corridor, people and waiters are passing by, and sometimes contacting you phisycally. Because it is underground level, no mobile connetction, but they provide a free wifi. I suggest this place, choose inner tables, thats it.
A must-visit restaurant if you are around Nizami Street. I have been waiting for this day to try their cuisine, and I am in love with how tasty it was. I ordered the tenderloin in cherry sauce and Shirin Pilaf, and to my surprise, it turned out to be one of the most amazing steaks ever!

Nestled between the majestic mountains and the shimmering sea, Lankaran is a culinary gem that showcases a unique blend of Talysh and Azerbaijani flavors. Among its most celebrated dishes is lavangi, an exquisite creation featuring either fish or chicken generously stuffed with a delightful mixture of walnuts, raisins, onions, sumac, green cherry plums (alcha), and pomegranate molasses (narsharab).

I was admittedly hesitant to walk the down the stairs into this underground restaurant on a Tuesday for lunch however my worries soon disappeared once greeted by friendly staff. The food was rich and delicious and the decor traditional (as far as I know) and welcoming. I recommend trying the lentil soup, the dolmas and one of the many lamb dishes.

SAHiL Bar & Restaurant is a modern Caspian dining spot located on Bulvar. The restaurant offers expertly prepared dishes and a selection of fine wines in a relaxed setting. While the atmosphere could be improved, the friendly staff ensures an enjoyable experience. In addition to typical Azeri dishes like kebabs and tea, SAHiL provides an opportunity to savor the flavors of Azerbaijan while also learning about its culture.
Fancy place in a great location. On the sea boulevard, close to The Old City, I wouldn’t expect less than this. And they do provide an experience. Food selection is big enough and has plenty of local and classic dishes. Staff can provide an explanation for foreigners like us , to assist with picking from the menu. Looks like all the staff speaks some level of English and Russian.
Dinning hall design looks solid and gives you a feeling of a high end restaurant, at least it tries to.

Lovely place with a very nice vibe. Had dinner here with a couple of friends. We had lamb kebabs eggplant rolls among other things. The quality of food was good . They alsi have a good collection of wines and other cocktails. The staff was prompt and courteous. All in all a very nice place .

The service was attentive and helpful. The food was served fast and the plating of all the dishes were nicely done. The ambience was cozy and homey. The dishes we ordered were all good. The olives with cheese were very good way to start. The eggplant and zucchini was very crunchy . The Lamb Saj was very tasty. The Profiteroles was a great way to end the meal.

We (group of 5) went there for breakfast during the weekend. They open at 10am, so we had to wait till 10:30-11:00 to have breakfast. Although atmosphere and service is good below I would like to highlight what we didn't like:
- No parking place of the restaurant!
- They prefer to accept orders only for breakfast sets (which has a unnecessary foods like condensed milk or nutella, which has small portions and very pricy)
- We ordered just omelets, tea, coffee, sirniki and some weird desert called "Apple Pakhlava" (apple wrapped in dough the taste was sour).
- Orders came late, extremely small portions and high prices.
Our first stop in Baku for food. We tried the tomato and red onion salad, which became a staple at dinner for the rest of the trip. The Kebabs mixed grill and a soup. Tea, jam and Compote were had as well. Everything was Delicious but very expensive compared to other meals we had in AZ.

BEYOGLU caught our eyes strolling around Baku, the staffs (a gentleman and a lovely lady) are very friendly and welcoming, happily informing us its Turkish. The sweets are good and delicious, the appearance and the arrangement are really tempting, the textures are moist and tastes are rich with the balance of sweetness, plus the prices are reasonable. Among our small purchase we have favorite, however the name we cannot recall.

The taste was quite bland, but on the bright side, the interior was nice! Overall, a bit of a letdown.

If you are a tourist the best time to come is breakfast it tends to not be as crowded with much more pleasant atmosphere. Great breakfast choices. Try to avoid later hours for it does get pack here and be mindful of locals they will stare at you while you eat if you are in an interracial relationship. The 2nd time we came here for brunch was absolutely uncomfortable 😣 they sat us next to a table of four local females who constantly were turning around looking at us in disbelief of being together and through language similarities to Turkish they made comments of me being in my current relationship for money. Although I work in healthcare and not the case. We understand restaurants have no control of clients but when our waiter participated in the conversation also chiming it was absolutely disheartening to hear xenophobic and colorist remarks about my fiancée.

Visisted this place for my bday lunch as nothing satisfies me more than a good Asian meal.
The ambience impressed me when I entered but the food (for vegetarians) was a total disappointment. They do have a separate menu for vegetarian but few of the dishes were not available and I was left flabbergasted when the server asked me if it was ok to add oyster sauce in my noodle (duh!)
No attempts were made to customise the dishes for us. The dishes which we ordered tasted well below average and the server admitted that vegetarian food is not their USP. Neways this lunch didn’t turn out to be the way we expected.

Really impressive asian food that was not expected in Baku. Normally when a restaurant does a mix of thai, chinese, japanese, korean etc, it struggles to capture the authenticity of each type of cuisine but somehow it works here. Had a pad thai and sweet and sour pork and both thoroughly satisfied my cravings.
We loved everything about this place. The food was delicious. The green curry was some of the best and we loved the coriander chicken rice. Amazing service too!

I visited this restaurant for lunch today with my colleagues. Unfortunately, we found a worm in the soup that was served to us. It was very disappointing and concerning from a hygiene and food safety perspective.
Although we quietly asked to change the dish, and the staff did replace it without making a fuss, we were still charged the full price, including the service fee — as if nothing had happened. No apology or any compensation was offered.
This kind of experience really affects customer trust. I hope the management takes food hygiene more seriously in the future. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

This is one of my absolutely favorite restaurants in Baku! If you’re craving Russian food, this is the right place to go. The restaurant is located in the center of Baku; it’s easy to find, and its location is very convenient. The restaurant is beautifully designed in a traditional Russian style, with plenty of cute authentic details like decor elements, pictures, sculptures; and even the waiters wear traditional Russian-style uniforms and aprons. Aesthetically, this restaurant is just PERFECTION – even down to the beautiful plates they serve the food on. I also love the Russian music they usually play; it’s always at the right volume, so you can easily talk if you’re visiting with someone. The restaurant has a large indoor area with several different dining rooms, plus an outdoor section – perfect for hanging out when the Baku weather is nice and warm. All kinds of tables are available, and I especially love that many tables have very comfortable soft sofa chairs.
The staff here are always extremely polite, friendly, and sweet. I’ve visited the restaurant many times, and not a single waiter has ever been rude or impolite.Of course, everyone speaks Russian here, but their English is also good.
The restaurant’s menu is large and includes all the traditional and famous Russian dishes, plus a few international options. There’s also an English version of the menu, which is a big plus. I’ve tried many items over time – Siberian pelmeni (Russian beef dumplings), chicken schnitzel, chicken Kiev cutlet, draniki with mushrooms, pirozhki with various fillings, Russian Olivier salad, Caesar salad, burger, and more. Honestly: I have never had bad food! All the dishes were always freshly made and super delicious! But if I had to pick a combo that always makes me happy, it’s Olivier salad with Siberian beef pelmeni. These two go perfectly together and make just the right amount of food to feel full. By the way, the portion sizes at Mari Vanna are just right – generous but not wasteful, nothing too small or overly large. The restaurant offers a nice dessert selection. I’ve personally tried three: Kyiv cake, honey-sour cream cake, and Napoleon cake. All three were extremely delicious! The restaurant also has a great variety of soft drinks, and I especially love their lemonades with different flavors. My favorites are the tarragon lemonade and the tropical lemonade. I also love ordering mors and kompot. When I come for dinner, I sometimes order their thyme tea – its flavor is fantastic! By the way, most of the drinks are available in different sizes. There is also a kids’ menu available, and I’ve noticed many families with children here. I also love that the restaurant sells its own frozen food, like pelmeni and vareniki to take home.
Prices at Mari Vanna are on the higher side but still reasonable for the excellent food quality and the overall wonderful experience at the restaurant. For example, my lunch with a starter or salad, a main dish, and a drink usually comes to around $25. When I come for dinner, my check is usually around $35 for the same items plus a dessert. The restaurant accepts all major credit cards and Apple Pay. Free Wi-Fi is also available here – just ask your waiter for the password.
Based on my experience, the restaurant is usually busy no matter the time, so better make a reservation!

Nice food, acceptable service. When I found out that I couldn't order what I wanted due to allergy, I was proposed one of the most expensive positions in the menu and not very relevant to what I wanted. But the atmosphere is nice and the food was quite tasty.
The atmosphere here is incredible – an eclectic, overdesigned Russian restaurant where every single corner is carefully curated. The space is huge, vibrant, and full of character.
We were a group of five and shared many dishes. To start, we each had a shot of vodka infused with blackberry and raspberry, followed by two bottles of plain vodka enjoyed in small glasses with plenty of toasts. Between courses, the house pickles were excellent and refreshing.
For food, we tried foie gras and a charcuterie plate – tasty, though not the highlight for me. The Russian salad and the beetroot salad, on the other hand, were absolutely delicious.
To finish, we shared Napoleon and Medovik cakes, both of which were excellent and a perfect ending to the meal.
We came here for dinner with friends for the second time. The atmosphere was perfect. Even though the place was quite crowded, the orders arrived very quickly. The kievski and manti were delicious, thank you.

An outstanding restaurant concept. You are literally eating inside a museum. They have 3 stories of historical artifacts which outline the history of the region including the Soviet Union history. Guests can walk around the restaurant with it multiple seating rooms to glimpse into the history of the region. The food served is very good and there is also good music coupled with a traditional dance. Even if you are only in Baku for a couple of days, do visit this restaurant to experience the history of Baku in a concentrated form within a short time period.

This is a beautifully decorated restaurant in city center. After spending almost a week in Baku, I felt like having some non local food. I'm glad I picked Latitude. Service was friendly and prompt. The manager, Nahid, came by and asked if everything was to my satisfaction. I ordered their duck dish, roasted vegetables and tea ice cream. Everything was delicious. One of the best meals I've had in Baku so far.

The menus were a little hard to understand for English speakers but that was our fault for not understanding the language - having said that the service was excellent.

I can only recommended the introduction of a few more seafood only sushi sets to the mix, the current selection often includes some rolls with chicken and if one does not eat chicken, it becomes harder to pick such sets. The drink selection can be improved too but it is hardly necessary for a place of this kind. Definitely recommended.

The people are very nice, and kind. Food took 45 minutes, and everything is with cheese. If you have some sort of standard for sushi, then it's very very far off. Im not saying it to hurt the business, but to save you the experience. In Baku the best food is the local one.

Strolled into Sushi Room with my hopes as high as the Flame Towers, ready for a culinary adventure in the land of 4.9 stars. Left with my hopes a bit more akin to the Maiden Tower—still standing, but a little weathered. Let's talk about it.
The vegan set, with its 24 pieces, felt like an ode to the many shades of... well, the same flavor. It was as if they were playing a game of 'Guess the Ingredient,' with the avocado impersonating a rock in a grand performance. Spoiler: the rock won.
The hot salmon roll, however, was the hero we didn't know we needed. A delicious plot twist in our dining saga, creative and well-crafted, like a piece of art you can eat.
But alas, where was the tea? A sushi place without tea is like Baku without its winds—just doesn't feel quite right.
In the grand tapestry of dining experiences, Sushi Room is a vibrant thread. Not perfect, but adds to the rich pattern. So, with a touch of generosity, we're casting our vote for a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Cheers to the sushi that rocked and rolled its way into our hearts (and our critiques).

Visited the bar last year with colleagues (2024) but was brief due to unforeseen circumstances within our party. The management dealt with it swiftly and with compassion, so, whilst revisiting Baku again this year, I decided to revisit this bar and found it. What a nice place. Modern interior with lovely art and traditional elements. Amazing service - the waiter's English fluency is definitely better than mine and the service is so attentive and at the same time discreet. Food: Next wow. Everything tasted so good. Our starters humus and ezme, the freshly made hot buns, the perfectly seasoned mushroom cream soup and the pomegranate lamb govurma were a real treat. Especially the lamb meat was great - not overcooked, not raw, not tough as leather, not oversalted, no - just the way how perfectly cooked meat should taste like. Even Guga would approve. Man, how did I miss properly seasoned meat cooked on point in this city. I really hope this aha-experience is not a nine-day wonder and they'll keep their standards. Will definitely try again.
Only minus points are relatively high alcohol prices (local wine about 35-40 AZN/btl., international wines about double the price) and a 10 % service charge added to your bill. But food prices are absolutely fair - you'll pay 2x as much for far worse quality in the city center.

Honestly, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences we've ever had. Part of my work involves recommending places to visit, and I can confidently say that this is one place I would not recommend at all. It took 50 minutes for the food to arrive, and when it finally did, it was completely tasteless. Additionally, they claimed they did not accept card payments, just cash, even though just minutes earlier we saw another customer pay with a card.
When we asked for the bill, they charged us nearly two times more than expected. Our order should have cost 70 manats, but they charged us 120. When we asked for clarification, the staff initially totaled the correct amount (70 manats) on the calculator, but then started adding random charges without explanation.

Then they insisted that the service charge is 20%, although on the Menu it says 10%. When showing them they said its 10% for the House and 10% for the Service. Rediculouse! We had a delightful experience at this pure vegetarian restaurant in Baku, which serves some of the best dishes from various cuisines around the world.
We tried the signature “de Rama” rice bowl with fresh paneer and finely chopped tomatoes and cucumbers, along with hummus and rice and a tomato soup that was thick, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying — honestly, the best tomato soup I’ve ever had!
The restaurant has a warm, homely vibe with a hint of Hindu god statues, scriptures, and paintings, creating a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. The owner, a devoted follower of Lord Krishna, adds to the authenticity and charm of the place.
To make the experience even more special, the owner treated us to a refreshing betel leaf paan from Mumbai, which was a perfect finishing touch.

Nice khingal restaurant offering great georgian khingal. We ordered their khingal set for two people, costing 29 manat. It included georgian khingal, local khingal, assorty, drink, and some souces. I enjoyed the food and service. It was fast, and you did not need to wait for food.
However, the problem with the restaurant was that you could not book a table unless it was cabinet (which needed some deposit). So, you will probably wait outside of the restaurant in rush hours.

Due to high traffic, I wanted to rest and have some food there. I ordered a Georgian salad, xengel with extra meat and extra yogurt, and Sirab sparkling water. The salad wasn’t very Georgian, but it was fine. The meat wasn’t that good—it tasted like a mix of beef and offal. At the end, I asked to pay by card, but they said the POS terminal wasn’t working, that it needed to be sent for service, and I could only pay by card to card transfer. When I checked the bill, I noticed that instead of Sirab, they had added a different sparkling water (Kobi). When I pointed it out, the waiter insisted the price was the same. I asked him to show me I was sure about the price, and he made up an excuse, saying there was no price for Sirab on the menu, but in fact, there was. I don’t understand what they gain by trying to fool a customer over 50 qepiks. I will never be back.

Beautiful space with total yesterday feel, ghod food and good service. But! If you are american, barely english speaking and both our anex and us vida cards didn't work... No help with menu but we chose server recs which including wine very good. We showed up on a sat nite 7:30 reservation, and almost 2hrs later, we literally were the only customers. Enjoyed our meal and local wine, and luckily has local currency because other than our $100 bill, nothing else worked, questionable 20s! Not sure what one if the best rated Baku restaurants was son complicated, but really comprimised our dining experirnce. A beautiful space truly underwhelmed experience. And a great menu detailing allergy potential issues. Very impressive but poor delivery.

The menu immediately caught my attention — it included traditional and rare dishes that I haven’t seen anywhere else, which made the dining experience even more special. When the food arrived, it was so incredibly tasty that I didn’t even think of taking pictures — I just enjoyed every bite.
The interior design of the restaurant is simply stunning, combining elegance with a warm atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. After finishing my meal, I was so impressed that I couldn’t resist capturing some photos of the interior instead.

In town as a Chef for Formula One race and you have to try the cuisine. The food was very flavorful, Customer service was excellent. The staff was very-attentive and knowledgeable. When I come back next year, I will be going to this restaurant again
We were sat in the centre of the beautiful room “Absheron” which was hand painted floor to ceiling with a mural of wine and fig leaves and beautiful faces. The decoration was exquisite. During our meal the front of house and head chef greeted us and asked our experience. Each dish in the menu is unique and tells a story of the local history and natural geography. Great restaurant for lamb meat lovers.
