Los Xarmientos. Parrilla Aragonesa is a relaxed restaurant located in the Hotel Hiberus, offering a daily and regular menu featuring creative meat and seafood dishes, as well as desserts. The modern and contemporary interior is adorned with bold artwork and quirky wooden sculptures.
Must reserve your table since it is very popular with locals. Arogonese grilled meats precede by spectacular starters and followed by delicious deserts, wine and coffee. Great restaurant.

Very good food! Menu of the day was great deal and good quality good quantity.

Loved having the special lunch menu for €50 here. I didn’t speak Spanish unfortunately but everyone were so lovely and welcoming. Highlights were the Aragon specialty roast lamb, and the fried camembert I didn’t see coming. Haha. The special menu is massive and you get all three entrees, a main of your choice and dessert as well so be very prepared to eat well! The drink as you’d like bottle of water and wine was excellent 🤣 Loved the friendly atmosphere and the respite from the heat outside too. Thank you!
York L — Google review
We’ve been in Spain for 2 and a half weeks, and we’ve had some good food. But holy heka this place blew our socks off! Amazing food and the service is so considerate. We’d highly recommend the set menu if there’s more than one person - value for money, as well as seriously amazing food. Thanks troops for taking care of us.
Nathan W — Google review
Awesome place to taste a daily menu, we were surprised about the quality of the food and the elavoration. Meat tartar is amazing and the desserts are incredible. The service was really kind and the food quality vs price is really good! Its a MUST if you are visiting Zaragoza!
Ricard C — Google review
Made a lunch stop here during our drive from Girona to San Sebastian. We ordered the set lunch, and it was so so good! The Google reviews for this place were spot on. The service staff were lovely, and every dish we ordered from the set lunch was just amazing. The memorable dishes were the lamb tripe, which was prepared in a way that it wasn't chewy at all, and the pork dish that was perfectly crispy on the outside, with every piece just melting in my mouth. We had such a wonderful experience, and will definitely go back if we're visiting Zaragoza again.
Ivan L — Google review
Great food, nicely decorated, good service. Very good prices if you take the menu of the day (from Tuesday to Friday, at noon): with 20 euro per person you receive first course, second course, desert, water and wine. Big portions. Can’t say anything bad about this place, I would gladly come here again
Laura P — Google review
Great experience! 20€ full menu, we had borrajas w/ poached egg (not shown in pics), salmon, lamb and escalivada(which was astounding). As dessert fruit ceviche with mango ice cream. Delicious!

La Ternasca in El Tubo, Zaragoza is a popular spot known for its lively atmosphere and diverse selection of tapas bars. The tender lamb tenderloin tapa is a must-try, cooked to perfection and served with a delicious sauce that enhances its delicate flavor. Many delicious traditional dishes to enjoy, especially if you manage to get a table

I had a great time in this place; I love party people, and yet it was great seeing young couples with kids. Awesome street full of energy, and I have to mention, it's very safe. A place to visit while in Zaragoza. Very much recommend. Cheers!
Rosa E — Google review
The place of the LAMB! The taste is incredible. If you love lamb meat, this place offer a real quality. Everything is made by lamb here. You may know or not, Aragon region is famous with lamb. My favorite is ‘Nuestro costillar Laqueado de Ternasco a la parrilla estilo Pekín’ and ‘Burguer Pita de Ternasco a la brasa’. Two favorite I have because it is imposible to choose :)
Koray K — Google review
Had 1 night in Zaragoza and luckily found this bar. Great service, food and beer. Belly pork was excellent as well as the lamb skewers and cabrales cheese. Highly recommend
Peter B — Google review
We had a selection of tapas and mains. All dishes were very tasty. The best thing we had was the madejas. Absolutely delicious. So crunchy. So full of flavour. Loved them. Service was fantastic. At the end of the meal we were given shots of herbs liquor.
Nikko — Google review
We arrived in the rush hour to have lunch (around 2pm) it took around 20 minutes to be able to order, which is too much, even if its a busy time for the restaurant. The food in the other hand was really tasty, and the service was nice when finally it was our turn. We had 2 type of lambs (churrasco and jarrete) and sherry potato as appetizer. Its not a cheap place but they serve really good quality food, i would return.
Bruno F — Google review
Thank you to our server Andreas for recommending delicious little bites on our quick stopover in Zaragoza. We wanted to try the specialty of the area... Ternasca de Aragón... And they served it in several different ways which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Tried 2 tapas the chops were divine. The ribs Peking style not so good. Service was good but they could do with some better quality serviettes.

La Miguería is a cozy dining spot in Zaragoza that specializes in traditional Aragonese migas, a dish made from fried and chopped bread. The restaurant offers a variety of accompaniments for the migas, such as homemade chorizo, local grapes, or fried eggs. In addition to this specialty, La Miguería also serves Iberian tapas and other traditional dishes representative of the region's cuisine.
You need a reservation unless you want to sit at the bar. Never had migas, they were literally migas, but great portion for the price and lots of variety. Service was excellent and fast. Bathrooms clean.
Min D — Google review
27 Dec 2023: First went there at 3pm and the tables were full. However, we were told that if spots at the bar opened up we could take them. In the end I asked to reserve a table for the evening of the same day. Service was friendly and patient, food was extremely tasty and good value for money, we were impressed. The bill came out cheaper than we expected. Will definitely return with an advance booking😉
Pattheera H — Google review
What a slick operation. Fully packed at 3pm, the service is still attentive and friendly. And the food is fantastic. Interesting to try the migas (kind of have to here really). For the main, every bite of langoustine was brilliant, and the poached/compote apple with dark chocolate shavings was excellent too. This all came with a beer for €13.30, in a nice looking place. And had an excellent espresso to boot. Can't recommend it enough.
Manvir S — Google review
Lovely dinner, staff professional, food delicious.
Ivan K — Google review
Even though we had no reservations they were able to get us a table on a Friday night. The dishes were very tasty and filling. I'd recommend you add a fried egg to migas as otherwise they can be quite dry. The portion of pan con tomate was huge!
Nikko — Google review
Traditional local food. Beautiful restaurant wery well located. Nice staff
Marco R — Google review
Really friendly staff, the Migas con setas tasted quite good, I think it is better to order some more toppings than one. I really liked the revuelto de borrajas con langostinos. The flan was not that good. A good price for good food, I would visit this restaurant again.
Inés S — Google review
Migas is a typical dish in the region of Aragón, Spain. So La Migueria is a must try for anyone visiting the capital of Aragon, Zaragoza. I recommend adding a fried egg to your migas along with your favorite topping. If you cannot decide on a topping try some Torreznos (Spanish version of chicharrón). Definitely have to go during the week day (call ahead and make a reservation) to try their Daily Menu. For €11.90 you get a three course meal (first course being Migas). This includes two full courses, dessert, and a drink(even a glass of wine or a fresh Ámbar on tap). Please excuse my rant, but this is a typical daily menu in Spain and one of the main reasons (as a person residing in the US East Coast) why I absolutely refuse to pay $20 for a chopped salad for lunch when I am back home.

Casa Unai is a charming and lively tapas bar located a bit away from the main tourist spots, but definitely worth the visit. The place offers a wide selection of traditional yet modern tapas and dishes to share, allowing visitors to sample various options. With prices ranging from 2 to 7 euros per tapa, it's an affordable choice for those looking to experience authentic Mediterranean and Spanish cuisine. Despite potential language barriers, the friendly staff ensures a warm welcome and excellent service.
After having visited several other beautiful cities in Spain and experienced so many yummy dishes, we came to Casa Unai to find out what more one can expect of this country! Excellent service and quality of dishes and wines they offer! We had a lovely lunch first, then we came back again for the dinner! Thank you very much for your great service.

We were looking for a good seafood restaurant and found this perfect spot. Very kind staff, a cozy enviornment in a rather small place so you can feel the familiarity in the room. Well the food was perfect. We rarely had so well cooked seafood, so moist and delicious. Simple, but very tasty. Each bite is a new experience. A must try place in Zaragoza!

Tapas restaurant
BAR EL CHAMPI is a must-visit restaurant in Zaragoza, located in the El Tubo area. It's renowned for serving a single iconic pintxo, the champi, which consists of grilled mushrooms on bread. The place tends to get crowded, so it's advisable to visit during off-peak hours to avoid long waits. Priced at 2.
Simple yet lovely tapas of bread, mushrooms and prawns with a healthy helping of garlic. Served with Particular Garnacha wine.
Steve P — Google review
Bar el Champi: an interesting concept, but lacking in flavor Champi Bar is a small venue with an original concept: skewered mushroom caps drizzled with a sauce made from garlic, parsley, and olive oil. Typically, the dish is served on a slice of bread and topped with a small shrimp. We asked for it without bread, and the staff accommodated our request without hesitation — which I truly appreciated. The team is young, friendly, and attentive to guests’ preferences. Unfortunately, the taste didn’t live up to the idea. The mushrooms felt undercooked to me — maybe in an attempt to keep them juicy, but they ended up tasting raw. They lacked salt and any real depth of flavor. The sauce, which I expected to be bright and garlicky with a hint of herbs, came across as nothing more than oil — flat and unremarkable. The shrimp on top was tiny and completely flavorless, likely from a standard frozen pack. Some friends had mentioned the sauce was aromatic and complex, even reminding them of blue cheese. But personally, I didn’t taste anything of the sort — no aroma, no richness, nothing distinctive. The drink selection was quite limited as well — very little to choose from. The space itself is small, with minimal seating; most guests stand while eating. Everything is served in plastic containers, reinforcing the “grab-and-go” concept rather than inviting you to sit down and enjoy a proper meal. Would I return? No. While this might appeal to hardcore mushroom lovers who don’t need bold flavors, it just didn’t work for me. The idea is interesting, but the execution needs refinement to truly deliver on its promise.
Lola K — Google review
Good portions, dip the bread on the oil. Selection of vermut, cerveza and vinos to pair it with. 2 beers + 2 champi = 11€
Sheena P — Google review
It's highly rated for its champinions and based on the web comments we were expecting something specially tasty, but it actually turned out to be a rather bland snack.
H M — Google review
You must try the mushroom menu.
Wilasinee Y — Google review
We had a night in Zaragoza and we’re told by locals to go to the El Tubo neighborhood. Filled with tapas bars. But beware, unlike many places, the tapas bars here rarely open before 730pm, some not until 800pm. But Champi does mushrooms and they do them really well. You order by quantity not by name. I think it’s all they have. Fried in the flattop, doused in an herb and garlic sauce, placed in a tower atop a slice of baguette. Goes great with beer or wine!
Tony K — Google review
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! You must try these gorgeous, fresh, amazing #tapas .5 litre beer, fair pour wine, great music. Best tapas we’ve had in Spain so far.

El Calamar Bravo is a popular counter-serve seafood venue in Zaragoza, known for its delicious squid sandwich and tapas. It's a must-visit spot in the city, offering mouthwatering sandwiches with fresh calamari and salad. The restaurant is always bustling with locals and visitors who enjoy the amazing taste of their sandwiches. Despite the staff's limited English, they are friendly and helpful.
Super yummy especially the perfect white sauce that goes with the calamari. It’s not the deep fried type but lightly fried which has a nice chewy texture and so fresh. Friendly staff especially when I don’t speak Spanish. Highly recommended
Little E — Google review
Quite honestly, the best calamari we’ve ever had — fresh, perfectly cooked, and incredibly tender. The sandwich was brought to life by a delicious sauce, with just the right flavor to complement the calamari without overpowering it. Everything was in perfect balance! I will definitely recommend this to everyone. A must-try for seafood lovers!

Great experience. Very impressed with the calamari sandwich. The portion is big so be ready. We ordered beer with lemon, it was good but a bit too strong for me. Will definitely go back for more.

My photo may not look very appetising, but the taste was superb. Fresh calamari (no batter, nor deep fried) in a roll with a garlic mayo and spicy sauce. Absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced.

Friendly staff, great service. Tender, oil-free calamari. We tried both the hot sauce sandwich and the plain calamari plate with lemon. They were all wonderful.

Exceptional location that is great for families—just make sure to arrive early or be willing to wait for a place. If you’re adventurous, just walk up to the bar area, squeeze yourself in, and order a ration of squid (calamar)… In other words, their famous “Calamar Bravo” with spicy sauce. Pair it with a cold beer and you will have the perfect start to any evening.

An afternoon of extraordinary food. The creamed asparagus the salads the meat the dessert all extraordinary. If that is not enough the wait staff are attentive without being overbearing which is a true sign of excellent service. Excellent food excellent service comfortable and clean and we will be back for sure. I doubt there are many places in Zaragoza with this level of attention and quality of food, the chef and the staff are to be commended.

Just simply superb. Gorgeous croquettes, super salad, and the hot stone meat was outstanding. Top quality food. Service was outstanding. Best meal we had in Zaragoza. Can’t recommend it enough.
Peter E — Google review
One of our more delightful dining experience in Spain. We took the friendly bartender/waiter's recommendations and ordered the daily special menu plus an order of the fried potatoes. The papas were delicious. The vino tinto we were brought was excellent. The first course of eggs and spinach was very good. The portions were probably too big if anything! The main course was divine - perfectly cooked tenderloins wrapped in jamón. Delicious. Finally for dessert were pineapple smoothies which were also great. The extremely friendly chef came out to ask about our experience (he also speaks English) and made us feel very welcome. Everything in the end came out to under €60, so excellent value. Very happy we decided to have lunch here!

Restaurante Casa Pedro - Gastrobar is a renowned venue in Zaragoza, known for its contemporary twist on regional dishes and a delightful tasting menu. It has received numerous accolades, including winning the Best Tapa of Spain in 2018. The restaurant continues to captivate locals with its innovative and meticulously prepared dishes and tapas. Notably, it now offers take-away options for those who want to savor its creations at home.
Tasting menu was absolutely amazing, visually but also a great combination of flavours. Very good service and they accommodated us even if we arrived late and without any reservation. Must try if you are around.
Sabri N — Google review
Spectacular restaurant. When I walked in I was afraid that it was closed. Or - even worse - not visited at all. But when the staff came around he took me up to the second floor where the lunch restaurant is located. I went for the tasting menu for 59 Euros and I did not regret it at all. It started with four appetizers. Bites, rolls and a soup. Next was my favorite: chicken filled ravioli with a strong mushroom aroma. After that grilled fish and braised super tender beef. The menu came to an end with two wonderful desserts. I would definitely come back. Great discovery. If you plan to come check out their opening times. The time windows are quite small.

A bit pretentious for my liking. The food was nice, but the size was really tiny. The sirloin was really overcooked even though I ordered rare. The place is really charming and the staff too.

Bar El Circo is a local spot in Zaragoza that offers coffee, cocktails, and generously sized tapas from morning till night. Despite being away from the touristy areas, it provides a taste of authentic Spanish culture with its functional surroundings and classic atmosphere. The bar is known for serving some of the best tortillas in Aragon and possibly even in all of Spain.
An amazing food and bar experience in the center of Zaragoza. The best Torreznos I have ever tasted in Spain and the Tortilla and Ensalada Rusa are also close to perfection.

Wonderful little spot away from main center. Lots of locals who were eager to explain the food and let us try some of their food.

Loved this place. Got the last two stools at 7pm and then it got ridiculously busy. The pork in crackling was off the map. Enjoyed mushroom croqueta, anchovies, prawns. Oscar was a great waiter and recommended a fab vino tinto

What a great find. Lovely staff and ridiculously good food - think the gildas were the best I've had (and that's a large sample size), the tortilla and torreznos also absolutely fantastic.

TOP Olivier salad & tortilla de patatas! Small bar, with plenty tapas choices. After reading the reviews we decided to go for the ensaladilla & tortilla, SIMPLY DELICIOUS! Service is just ok, waiters aren’t too smily or friendly, but we came here to eat not to make friends! 😂

Restaurante La Prensa is a long-standing, family-run restaurant located in the San Jose neighborhood of Zaragoza. It has been awarded a Michelin star and offers innovative global tasting menus paired with an extensive wine selection. The chef, Marisa Barberan, draws inspiration from Spanish and Aragonese cuisine to create elegant and exciting dishes that showcase her creativity. The restaurant's elegant space provides an intimate setting for diners to enjoy high-quality food served with professionalism and discretion.
Good to be back at La Prensa at Zaragoza for the 2nd time for lunch. A truly long-standing restaurant (since 1970) popular with locals, serving innovative global tasting menus & wine in an elegant space. Owner and sommelier David Perez took such good care of us with the splendid out of this world wine pairings and the inventive dishes by Chef Marisa Barbeán. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal a lot. A must visit if you are driving through. I would be happy to come back here again and again.

I had an exceptional dining experience at La Prensa! Everything was excellent, from the exquisite dishes to the inviting ambiance. I want to especially commend Mr. David for his warm and attentive reception service, which set a wonderful tone for the evening. Our distinguished waitress, Kalondu, was incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, ensuring that every detail was perfect. However, I did feel that the service provided by Maria Angeles could have been improved. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and I look forward to returning!

Good service and simple decorations, the main focus here is the food. There are 2 main options and then you can add a selection of wines or champagnes. We chose the shorter menu for 90 euros, more than enough for a celebratory lunch.

Jonás A — Google review
BIG SERVINGS THAT TASTE OF NOTHING. I felt scammed by all the reviews and ratings of this restaurant. I was looking SO forward to my meal here, and sadly, I was left with such disappointment and regret. Let's start with the place. I was already quite skeptical of the location as I crossed dirty streets, casinos, and bars. I kept thinking, "how can a restaurant of this caliber be located in such a dirty area of a really beautiful city?" But I didn't let that stop me from dining. I entered the restaurant and it felt like I was inside a tent that was just made to look nice because of the draping of cheap cloth curtains. Not the prettiest place as compared to the other highly rated restaurants in Zaragoza. Not gonna lie, it was so pretentious. The open kitchen though was a nice tough, but I find that kitchen style normal and it doesn't really amaze me anymore. The service. No comments on the service, they served everything on time. Bare minimum, I can get the same level of service in a gourmet burger or pizza restaurant anywhere too. But I have been to enough fine dining restaurants, michelin-rated, michelin starred restaurants to know that the quality of service at Quema was not deserving of its title. Servers just explained the food like it was a caption written off of an instagram caption of the food's picture. No passion, no art, just a description. I expected the servers to be more proud of their food -- because that's what you should ALWAYS expect from a fine dining restaurant. The food. Ah, horrible. Nasty. Wasteful. Looks pretty, sounds nice on paper, but taste wise I wanted to cut my meal short the moment we had the third course. The dishes had 0 variation from each other -- too much cream. too much of everything. It was not a TASTING menu. I think this restaurant needs to redefine its meaning of "TASTING"...it's not a big meal for each course. It should be small bites --- hence tasting. It's like I ordered 7 a la carte dishes for myself that's why by the third course I wanted to just leave and not even get my money back. It was just horrible. I hope Quema can revamp their service and menu. Add more crunch. Decrease the cream. Train your staff to actually look like they love and are passionate about the food they serve. Change the curtains and make the place warmer.
Margarita T — Google review
We had an amazing meal, Diana and team skills are outstanding. Highly recommend. It was my birthday and it was lovely to be recognised with a lovely treat at the end of the meal.
Jeannette J — Google review
Fabulous tasting menu. Very well thought of, filling, and very high quality. Each dish is explained well and is a sensory pleasure - the way it is presented, taste, smell and texture. The tasting menu is extensive and leaves you content at the end of it. Service is a touch slow when full. The open kitchen adds to the culinary experience.

Churros con chocolate (€4.10 for the serve) - delish and perfect on a cold winter’s day. Sadly, there are not many tables, so it’s really more a “hit and run” at the bar kind of place.

After tasting San Giñes and some other in Madrid, I'd say this is the top churrería in my mind. Thin churro tastes crunchy and chewy, wide one tastes soft. And the chocolate is so thick and tastes really good.

Muerde La Pasta is a popular restaurant, especially among families with children, with two locations in Zaragoza. It offers a wide range of Italian food, including various types of pizzas and pasta dishes with dozens of sauce options and desserts. The restaurant is known for its unbeatable prices and delicious menus that have attracted customers for several years. While the variety of non-pasta dishes has been reduced, the inclusion of drinks, dessert, and coffee makes it an economical choice for family outings.
We did the €13.95 buffet Food - incredible variety, saucy pastas, pizza, meats, desserts, soft serve, drinks, Sangria, salads, fried meats/chips/nuggets Service - very friendly staff that helped us English speaking guests (using translate app), such kind people and not rude at all Cleanliness - everything was presentable and clean. The cutlery did sometimes appear with some water marks from washing, but honestly, your immune system will take care of anything. The buffet was busy at opening time of 1pm. This place is not an average 3.7 stars, it’s more like a 4.5. The bad reviews are just whining babies who only know how to express their emotion by posting a 1 star rather than being reasonable.

Wow! What a deception, I waited so much to visit this place since living for a while in Zaragoza. Bad service, the girl server is so rude with an attitude, far away from a minimum customer service standards. My toast took so long to arrive, cold, the tomate sauce is not homemade, clear taste from a can. My cortado was a mini café con leche, not a cortado! First and last time there, appearances doesn't make a good restaurant, cafe, whatever.... ridiculous!

In few words • A very nice workplace if not on Sundays or festivities (too noisy). Service is average (depends on whos serving). Coffee and cakes, even if they look tasty, are average. Vegan milk available Special mention to the Tortilla de Patata. Do not take it. Will be served cold and the taste is quite bad :/ (and I know what I'm talking about, cause is one of my favorite tapa that I order every bar I go). Some other tapas look tasty and some I tried they are, but not the Tortilla one.

When exploring Zaragoza, a must-visit is the Mercado Central de Zaragoza, a vibrant marketplace that has been at the heart of the city since its opening in 1903. This stunning structure showcases beautiful iron and glass architecture typical of the 19th century, creating an inviting atmosphere for visitors. Inside, you'll be greeted by a sensory feast—an array of fresh produce bursting with color, along with regional delicacies like meats, cheeses, and fish.
This is a real market. It's incredible the variety of choices; meat, fish, lobster, shrimp, fruits, bars, tapas, great wine, coffee, and everything you can imagine for the perfect cook. Oh, all fresh. No luxury, no noise, just the fact that you enter to buy all the fresh ingredients for food cooking. Mercado San Miguel in Madrid is beautiful, but just like an imitation of the real thing.

What a great old school market hall. Clearly been renovated. Very neat and clean and weatherproof in a 200 year old structure. It has an unbelievable assortment of meats, fruits, vegetables, olives and fish/seafood. Spain is pretty amazing with the fish. I’ve eaten vegan food all over Spain on my travels and this is the best I’ve had. Fresh, delicious and incredible value. I wish I lived nearby and I could eat there regularly. Highlight for me in the plant based chorizo. If you are in Zaragoza don’t miss out, make sure you give it a go!

This is a vegan restaurant in the city of Zaragoza. Being students we wanted something affordable and this was a good stop for it. I ordered the falafel platter with the option of fries. The portion was enough for one person. The staff was friendly and the overall ambience was satisfactory.

Nice, affordable vegan food in Zaragoza. It's a really great place for cheap lunch as their combination plates are only 8 euros. The menu changes regularly and is written on a chalkboard. The food is simple but tastes very wholesome and homemade, and is mostly based around healthy whole-food ingredients. We loved their tortilla with garlic sauce. The service could've been slightly friendlier though.

I ate lunch here on a Saturday and sat down right away, with a beautiful view of the street. I ordered a beer and one of their combo plates (migas con verduras, chorizo vegetal, casero y ensalada). I didn't quite know what migas were, but it was a bread crumb dish with vegan chorizo and salad. It was very tasty, light on the tummy dish and their veggie chorizo had a nice flavor/light spice. I would eat here again to try more of their food!

Very nice options, all of which are plant based. We had a delicious cold cucumber soup to start, then falafel and plant steak served with couscous, fries and fresh salad. We then had some very nice cake to finish.

Amazing Vegan comfort food. Super cheap but high quality! They dont even use pulliting detergents, only vinagre and ozone for the cleaning. Lovely staff, amazing project to help save the animals and the planet. Customers are mainly locals. It's a must in Zaragoza

Spanish restaurant
El Rincón de Aragón is a charming family-run restaurant that offers an authentic taste of traditional cuisine in Zaragoza. Just a stone's throw from the iconic Basilica del Pilar, this eatery is known for its delicious homemade dishes, with the Aragonese paella being a standout recommendation. Diners can expect generous portions and friendly service, making it an ideal spot for families as well.
Oh my god!! Amazing traditional cuisine in a unassuming local eatery just across from El Pilar. Bottle of wine to accompany your lunch menu option included in the price. Lots of options with amazing local flair and full of flavor. It is recommended to make lunch reservations as the place fills up with locals. A must visit when in Zaragoza.

Tasty and reasonably quick lunch during a fast stop in Zaragoza. Costillada local lamb chops were great.

Too expensive, not worth

just a scam, I give 0 stars, no one served us, we had to wait 30 minutes and we ate undercooked fries, the water is suspect

(Translated by Google) A very nice place, homemade food, everything very good, and great treatment from the staff. Fair prices, a place to recommend without a doubt. And a step away from the Basilica del Pilar. We will return next time we go to Zaragoza (Original) Un sitio muy agradable, comida casera, todo muy bueno, y un trato estupendo por parte del personal. Precios ajustados, un sitio para recomendar sin ninguna duda. Y a un paso de la basílica del Pilar. Volveremos la próxima vez que vayamos a Zaragoza

(Translated by Google) The summary, without more. Menu of almost €20 (it is the cheapest they have), the dishes are delicious but the quantity is nothing out of this world, as is the quality. They have certain ugly details that I have now also read that have happened to other people. They are more concerned with indicating that the menu cannot be shared than with serving. In our case we have gone with a person who had a bad stomach and wanted something on a soft diet, and when we asked if they had or could make some white rice or French omelette, the answer was that that was impossible, that there was a menu and just. Well, what a customer service. We finally ate there so as not to look for anything else, but I certainly won't be going back. We had to wait a little for the table and in the end they squeezed in others who were more than us. Oh and by the way, the cheesecake, although homemade and good, doesn't taste like cheese.

Tapas restaurant
LA PAPA ARRUGÁ San Lorenzo is a cozy and welcoming family-run restaurant in Zaragoza, offering generous portions of home-cooked style dishes. The menu features full-sized options like grilled squid, grilled meat with potatoes, and huevos rotos. Customers have praised the attentive service and recommended dishes such as calamari risotto with squid ink, artichokes with ham, croquettes de cocido, and papas arrugadas.
It was a very pleasant surprise! The service was excellent, the waiter very friendly and always willing to give advice on the dishes. The food was fantastic, especially the desserts. The atmosphere was pleasant and cosy. I highly recommend it!

La Papa Arrugá is one of those places that just feels good as soon as you walk in. It’s cozy, friendly, and has that kind of laid-back atmosphere that makes you want to stay for “just one more.” The staff are super welcoming, genuinely nice, helpful, and always ready with a good recommendation. You don’t feel rushed, and they make you feel right at home. Now, the beer? Cold and fresh, just how it should be. Honestly, it’s worth coming here just to sit outside with a drink and enjoy the plaza. Food wise, the chipirones a la plancha are a must. They come out tender and full of flavor, perfectly grilled with just the right touch of seasoning. Super simple, super delicious. And of course, you can’t leave without trying their papas arrugadas, the dish they’re named after. Perfectly salty, wrinkly potatoes served with a killer mojo picón. If you’re looking for a place in Zaragoza with great food, friendly people, and good vibes all around, La Papa Arrugá is a solid choice
Ralf B — Google review
Nicely located with tables outside and cooked fresh by the owners. Service is a bit slow but food is good! Watch out with pigeons if you seat outside, they like the food as well.
Pablo P — Google review
