Located on the south edge of Atlantic City, the Knife and Fork Inn is a historic upscale eatery that has been serving steaks, chops, and seafood since 1912. The restaurant offers an extensive wine list to complement its classic dishes like Lobster Thermidor.
Amazing oysters! Loved the jalapeno lime sorbet served with them. We also really liked the lamb lollipop appetizer. Good calamari and steak. The creme brulee was very creamy. Waitress was knowledgeable on modifications needed to meet gluten free requirements for some of the table.

An amazing dinner! We appreciated everything and the food and service were great! Our server was very attentive and their recommendations when we asked were on point. You are dining in the Prohibition era in this restaurant and if your a history buff it only accentuates the dining experience. I felt as if at home with the quaint and comfortable vibe. Everything we ordered from cocktails to desert was electric to our taste buds. I have dined here several times including Thanksgiving and keep coming back!

The steak is amazing. That is without a doubt. Do avoid the lobster. They claim they make it in a specific style and they have been doing it for the past 100 years and no one else can do it…well no one else does it because you don’t get chewy lobster… just get the steak and have a good time! Win and lose some money! We had a great waiter and it’s a cool joint

We started off at the bar with half price appetizers at Happy hour 4-6. Got the oysters and the fried mozzarella. Delicious! Great beer on tap and cocktails. Awesome attentive bartender. We reserved our table for 6:15 but got there at 5 - a good idea since u can partake in the appetizer specials at the bar and then head to the table. We had filet and of course lobster thermidor. Both were great! Great service - wine was excellent. A great treat knowing what u are in for $ wise. I will go back again next year for or our 1st wedding anniversary! If you can, for a table for two, ask if there is something more private. No biggie but the table next to us pretty much was on top of us.

We went for a birthday dinner back in August. Our reservation was for 8:15, but we didn’t get seated until almost 8:40. Once we were settled, though, the experience improved. The corner we were seated in was very dimly lit, which might make reading the menu a little difficult for some. We started with the calamari appetizer, which was delicious. For my entrée, I had the seafood risotto—and it was sooo good. Drinks were well-made, and our server was excellent: attentive, friendly, and helpful with recommendations. Overall, aside from the longer wait to be seated, it was a really good experience.

Had an amazing dinner at KNF. It was my first time eating here at it came highly recommended. I enjoyed everything I had. I started with the mixed greens salad, had the 12oz filet with spinach and lobster risotto as sides for the table. EVERYTHING was delicious. I will be back! Our server was knowledgeable and personable. It was a bit loud as the drinks flowed and kicked in at all the tables on the 2nd floor. By the end of the night, we couldn't hear each other from across the table.
Bryn P — Google review
An amazing night out. We appreciated everything and the food and service were great! Maddy was very attentive and her recommendations when we asked were on point. The only food item ordered that we would not ask for again was the Lobster spring rolls as the lobster seemed a bit overcooked. You have your own table space, yet you felt as if at home with the quaint and comfortable vibe. The tuna dish and the filet were just so good! Thank you, we highly recommend and we hope we will be able to return soon!

We had dinner last night and everything was very good. First we had Caesar salad and the delicious cranberry bread. The dinner was king Dalmon and dessert banana cream pie.

Dock's Oyster House is an upscale seafood restaurant that has been serving customers since 1897. The restaurant offers a cozy and elegant dining room with nightly piano music, creating a charming and classic atmosphere. It is known for its commitment to serving fresh seafood and has been run by the Dougherty family for four generations.
Reserved this place after watching Mark’s video. Food was exceptionally good. Super fresh seafood, great service and ambience. I really loved the grilled oyster with champagne sauce. We also ordered flounder and Halibut. Halibut melted in my mouth. It was so soft and tender. Ended our dinner with tiramisu which was great as well.

Dock's Oyster House is a seafood restaurant located on Atlantic Ave. in Atlantic City. They are open Mon - Thu 4PM - 9PM and Fri - Sun 4PM - 9:30PM. Reservations required. I'd heard nothing but great things about Dock's, so I was excited to finally check it out! My buddy and I had a 7:15 reservation and we were promptly seated upon arrival. We started with the fried calamari. It was perfectly crispy and served with a flavorful marinara sauce, all rings, no tentacles. For our entree, we decided to split the 16 oz lobster tail and the 12 oz filet mignon. Both were enjoyable, but they fell short of the wow factor we were anticipating. The lobster could have been served hotter and with a bit more natural sweetness, while the steak would have benefited from a more consistent cook throughout. Our server, Taz, was fantastic! He was genuinely friendly, super personable, and incredibly helpful with navigating the menu. He really added to the experience.

Located in the mid town area of Atlantic City, Docks Oyster House is an iconic fixture in which their service dates back to 1897. They offer valet parking and I highly recommend having a reservation. They are well known for an extensive daily happy hour from 4-6 with half priced apps in the bar. The building is well maintained and the vibe inside is both elegant and timeless. Dress is casual, but men are asked to not wear hats within the dining room area. The service was excellent (hostess, servers, food runners, and bus team). They have quite an extensive drink/wine menu and they do offer a few mocktail options. We enjoyed various oysters: The Cape May Salts and Brigantine Salt as well as the Champagne Leek and Wasabi Crusted, which were all delicious. I enjoyed a lavender lemon infused mocktail which was not overly sweet and refreshing. For dinner we ordered the Crabmeat Sautee and the Pan Roasted Bronzino. Both dishes had an amazing pairing of fresh vegetables, herbs, sauces, and flavor. We were too full for dessert but the few I did see during our visit looked amazing. Overall, we had a fabulous experience here and will be returning in the near future.

If I could give this place six stars I would, the food is unbelievable 😁 we had a reservation for 5pm. This place is so busy to the point that we did not sit down till 5: 45pm. The blackened salmon is very good. There's steak is not their favorite but it's my favorite. Seafood Tower is awesome. Will go back in the future 😜
Thomas A — Google review
Great service, great drinks, and great food. Made a reservation at 4pm. This worked out well because the restaurant space was not busy and it made for a great experience for my wife and I.
Aaron P — Google review
This place was highly recommended, and it didn't disappoint. The beet salad was excellent. The salmon dishes were full of flavor and cooked perfect, and the apple crumble was delicious and not very sweet. Make a reservation if you plan on visiting.
Y C — Google review
Unless you're queued up for Happy Hour 30 minutes prior to their opening, secure a reservation. You won't regret it! Dock's is busy for good reasons; the food and service is wonderful! I will return!

Adding yet another review to the thousands of 5 star reviews for Dock’s. Nothing to say that hasn’t already been said. This place has been open forever. I think since like 1897. It’s literally amazing. The oysters are on point. The food is incredible. The service is very helpful and professional. Great atmosphere with live piano music. Great happy hour. Endorsed by Anthony Bourdain. I try to come here every time I’m in AC.

Abdul at check in was friendly, helpful and friendly. Room was beautiful. Beds are a bit too firm for my liking but had a great view from the rendezvous tower, 54 floor. Easy to leave to get to parking, boardwalk and casino. Enjoyable stay and will come back for a birthday/ anniversary vacation again!!!! Thanks to all the helpful employees making the guests stay super nice!!

We really like staying at Resorts. The rooms were very clean and our housekeeper Kuhn was great 👍🏻 . She was very helpful and provided us with supplies as needed with a positive and professional attitude. The rooms were very clean 5 + But the bathrooms are small as others have said and no views to speak of in our rooms on both stays..but the large comfortable space makes up for that so 4.5 for the rooms. Comfortable bed and pillows . We really like it here and plan on coming back.

My friend stayed overnight two nights and seemed happy with her accommodations. I came down to take her to dinner and gamble. Winter hours promotions very disappointing. 7:00pm on the dot they close. I made it the first night to get cards, was hoping to get match for my players card from another casino, yes but had to earn 85pts first and come back another day for match. Unfortunately arrived at 7pm the next night. They were leaving told come back yet another night. I asked games manager James who really did wish to help for a host, no host on call available. I’ve played many Casinos in many states in this country and in others and on cruises so I feel my opinion carries weight. Resorts fall short. Maybe 9pm would be more reasonable or keep early hours but have one host available till 2:00am to service your players. It is a Casino, isn’t?

Checked in and made the trek to my room. Key didn’t work. Went all the way back down to desk and given another room. We originally reserved a roll in shower room (ADA) but ended up with a huge tub. We were not going back down to change rooms again. Thankful shower had a handle mode. Upon showering we noticed mold on shower curtain. Room needed a good cleaning!! Plus a blanket on bed. Additionally there’s NO table top to place things on in the bathroom. Accessible room. Location was great. Can go right over to hard rock through walkway. Boo bar was very festive. Workers were nice.
Carol P — Google review
The Resorts is a great location on the boardwalk, amusement park, and to beach. The ocean tower rooms were definitely nicer and felt newer than the Rendezvous however bathrooms are smaller. They have a food court and a couple of other food options which is great. Front desk staff were great and accommodating. No 5 stars because they have to have a better self parking flow as the 2 elevators get backed up quick and they didn't have a stair option. You are also forced to walk through what feels like the inside of an ashtray with a lit cigarette and cigar smoldering inside of it to get to the lobby or food court. It would be nice if beach towels could be borrowed as a guest of the hotel.
Courtney P — Google review
My husband and I loved the hotel, We were there for our honeymoon. We loved its fun and quiet vibes and the friendliness of its employees, especially Mrs. Belkis, who received us on our first day. The large rooms and the comfortable access to the beach make it very pleasant.
Elianna ( — Google review
Went there on a whim. We were at resorts one week before official opening 1978 and thought we'd visit for nostalgic reasons. Things have changed so much. Rooms aren't awful but I asked for oceanfront view and got rooftop exhaust fans view. Refrigerator wasn't keeping things cold, heater vent right over bed and seemed to have a mind of its own. Won't be going back.
Edward D — Google review
I love this hotel and location. It has a classic look but well maintained. Check in was easy and fast. Even after arriving at 1:40am. The beach was right outside my window next to the broad walk, carnival rides, and restaurants. My only drawback was the long blue rug heading to the room, it smelled like urine. Also smelled it in some areas of the casino. But that wasn’t a deal breaker. I’ll definitely be back

Back Bay Ale House is a cozy bar and restaurant located in Gardners Basin, Atlantic City. It's a hidden gem known to locals for its laid-back atmosphere and stunning views of the back bay and marina-area casinos. The indoor/outdoor space exudes a fun Key West vibe, offering mason jar drinks and a full pub menu. With almost 20 years of outdoor dining experience, it's a favorite spot for seafood specials and an impressive selection of beers.
We were waiting for a table but ended up sitting and dining at the inside bar. I want to start out by saying that the bar staff is WONDERFUL. So attentive and fun to chat with. Down to earth. The food was great and the drinks were better. Had a fun time with the “sundown shot” and enjoyed it enough to ask them to make it into a drink. So unfortunately I don’t know what to ask for next time, but I really enjoyed it! My first drink was a raspberry mojito and that was FANTASTIC. Cheers to Back Bay Ale House for a fun filled dining experience at their indoor bar 😊😊😊
Kayleigh C — Google review
The food and vibes were excellent here! We came here for dinner as a group of 9, and though they technically are able to accommodate large groups, we weren't seated until at least 40 minutes after requesting a table (they initially estimated 20 minutes). Additionally, food came out very slow and scattered. But the dishes were excellent and we didn't have any trouble once the food arrived! The atmosphere was also fantastic as we were out by the water and were able to watch the sun set as we dined. The photos in this post are not all the dishes, but I feel personally that the Seafood Sampler Platter could have had a little more on the plate. For the price that it was, I was expecting a little more. But it tasted great regardless. And the cucumber salad on the side was delicious! Would love to come back here another time, but with a much smaller group!

I love this place. I've been here a couple of times and sat at the bar. The last time I was here I just had gotten off of the Atlantic City Cruise Line Dolphin tour. I found a seat at the bar. The bartenders are very nice and give great service. I ordered a burger and it came out exactly how I asked it to be prepared. Something about being near the water just makes me feel so much more relaxed and this cute spot is right next to the water period and you can see the boats coming in and out as you enjoy your food and beverage.

The food, the service and the view were all absolutely fantastic. They have an excellent drink menu and our dinner was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the ale house garlic shrimp starter 😍😍 We WILL be back.

We sat on the deck that overlooked the bay. Our waitress was great. The tuna nachos were amazing. The seafood Cobb salad was delicious. Both were big portions. Our drinks were delicious also.

Lunch was great! Can’t beat the service and the view. We had the tuna nachos, crab cakes sandwich (not pictured) and fries with cheese. All so good! Will definitely be coming back to try the different mason jars

Very good burger 🍔 and ribeye sandwich 🥪 . Service was exceptional and reasonable for the location. Mixed drinks were a terrible letdown (smoked Old Fashion (edited) was just an Old Fashion (edited) with smoke bitters and Painkiller was terrible) stick with can/bottle beer 🍺 🍻 !!

Eclectic menu, well executed. Cold beer, drinks and variety, drafts too. 100% terrific. We'll be back. This was our second time and we brought more people. Everyone was pleased. Hard working friendly staff. Tuna Tacos pictured large serving, delicious.

Vagabond Kitchen & Tap House is a laid-back tavern in Atlantic City that's popular among locals and visitors alike. Featured on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives, this bustling pub offers a wide selection of craft brews on tap and an extensive beer list. The menu features creative burgers, bar food favorites like extreme nachos and buffalo cauliflower, as well as signature sandwiches.
Was in the area for work and was referred here by a newly found friend from the area. I must say, it was fantastic! Service was super fast, friendly and very attentive. He even recommended the perfect meal to suit my likings. There are a wide variety of beers on tap and the food is more than you're ready for. This is a great, friendly place to visit with fantastic service. A "must" to visit if you're in and around the area.

Stopped in for lunch while my car was being serviced. Server Brian very attentive. Had French Onion soup. Was good, but a little saltier than I’d like. Had the Fish and fries. Fish was flaky and good. A little light on the seasoning though. Wife had the Mexican Corn. She said it was too chewy and needed a little more seasoning. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
Thomas C — Google review
First things first: this place makes a great burger. They have a list of regular specialty burgers and they also make a smashburger which was excellent. Plenty of options for toppings. Nice rotating draft beer selection. They also have a variety of different loaded fries, definitely recommend the disco fries! There is an indoor bar area and high top seating. Looks like they have some nice outdoor seating as well. I’d recommend sitting in either bar area. The dining area in the back with low-top seating is very crowded, the tables are uncomfortably close to each other and servers have to squeeze by while everyone holds their breath hoping nothing is spilled on them. For “gourmet” burgers, the prices are pretty reasonable. Staff is friendly. Overall, this is a great spot, I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for a good burger and a beer!

Wanted a quick bite (and a drink!) for dinner and decided to hit Vagabond (AC location). I usually eat plant-based and knew from past visits that they offer a fantastic hummus platter and veggie burger. Sure enough, those options were available (thank you for keeping vegan options!!) and I went with the sweet potato fries which were a real treat. The waiter was very helpful when I told him that I was allergic to dairy. He explained what was available, what could be modified, and pointed out which items contained diary. He also pointed out happy hour drink specials. Great price point on the specials. We ordered the hummus platter to start. Now, a hummus platter may sound boring but this isn't-just try it. It is so fresh and every single time I've ordered it, I just dive into the pita. Those little grilled wedges are so, so good. I don't know if they're homemade or store bought, but that pita is amazing with their hummus. The veggie burger was really flavorful, not overly salty at all, and a good size. It was a bit mushy for my liking. The fries are seasoned with a little cinnamon sugar blend & it's just enough to make them really special. I appreciate a fun local spot that offers different options (gluten free, vegan, vegetarian) and I hope that Vagabond will consider expanding their vegan menu!

I came here for a quick lunch while in the area for work. The service was pleasant and attentive and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was also quite nice. It seemed their primary demographic was white 50+ year olds. I'd recommend it for a nice spot to eat.
Emily ! — Google review
The food is for one already underwhelming every single time, but the service is always bad and the bar lady always has an attitude. They have new very inexperienced employees answering pickup orders. And then I guess the owner likes to pick and choose when he feels like letting someone order or not. My girlfriend has always ordered pickup from them for like the past two weeks. The only issues we have had are them constantly after we consistently order acting like they can’t hear us after we start putting in our regular order. From the first time we went there it wasn’t a welcoming atmosphere which we didn’t mind as my girlfriend just wants to order her food. She isn’t 21 and can’t legally order a drink which feels like we’re shamed for there for some reason because we can only order the food. This place is only considered good because guy fierri went there. He didn’t even love it that much and now I see why. This place is only good for people that don’t care too much about food and are heavy drinkers that don’t care about taste and just are looking to get drunk. I guess if you’re not planing to drink here don’t expect even decent service. They lost a customer due to greed and poor service. It’s very disappointing they are allowed to half ass what’s supposed to be a above average business. Guy fierri would lose it if he saw what really goes down there without cameras.

We attended a Mother's Day concert in town and decided to have a meal here before heading back home. The restaurant was pleasant and clean, although slightly chilly. However, the aroma inside was delightful. It seemed quite empty, possibly because they had just opened. We were promptly greeted and seated. Our food was absolutely delicious. We ordered two appetizers: nachos with barbecue pulled pork and Brussels sprouts. For our main courses, we had a crispy chicken sandwich with fries and a barbecue chicken with ribs (which were incredibly tender) and fries. The Brussels sprouts were exceptionally tasty, caramelized with bits of pork. The nachos were the best I've ever had, truly outstanding. The chicken sandwich had an excessive amount of sauce, which I had to wipe off with a napkin. Apart from that, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this establishment. Our waiter was pleasant, although it would have been nice if she had a bit more personality. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

Wonder Bar is a local favorite offering American pub fare and drinks in a lively space with an outdoor deck overlooking the water. It's known for its delicious bar foods, great service, and football Sunday deals during the season. The laid-back waterfront bar and grill provides stunning sunset views, a tiki bar, and a diverse menu including salads, seafood appetizers, traditional bar bites, burgers, pizza, sandwiches, and a kids' menu.
The food was very good. We had chicken fajitas and little neck steamers. The atmosphere was cool. They have an outside deck that boats can pull up too. They also had some live music when I was there. There is an inside restaurant with a bar. The male bartender was very nice and attentive to us. We would definitely return here. They also have a parking lot which is good cause anywhere at the beach is limited.

My partner and I each got burgers. They were bland. Mine was okay until I bit into the veggies and they tasted like fish .. like they were prepared where raw fish may have been. His was bland so he salted it and still meh. Clam strips, bland. Fries were the best tasting thing we got. Servers were all very nice. Outdoor seating on the patio was nice, and I enjoyed the music being early 2000s! Wouldn’t probably eat here again only due to flavor of food. Everything else was great!

I enjoyed an order of hot wings but they weren't very hot. Big bucket of blue cheese and a lot of celery. The service was pretty good other than you had to order at the bar from a server. You got your drinks from the bartender. Pretty slow for Tuesday night but if you get there early for happy hour there's some great deals

I don’t know what this guys deal was. I think he either was lazy or racist or both who knows. But did not even bother to look/check our ids because we had a couple of us from neighboring closed states such as Pennsylvania and Virginia. Said and assumed that they would all be fake and when asked for a scanner to check he said word for word “I am the scanner” like buddy can’t even do his job. One person in our group had their passport and when I said on the side “I don’t have my passport on me” he looks at me and said “well your buddy did” in a condescending tone as if everyone in the entire globe brings around their passport everywhere. Anyways, place was dead, if you go there and see a gigantic whale ask him again if the bar requires two forms of id to get in and ask for him to scan your id with his eyes very closely.

They've been going through transitional periods... I get it. You get it. We all get it. However, as of late, the kids are trying! Not much leadership other than their manager, who, for me is amazing. Lately their newer hires are actually customer service forward, but also, just... friendly. I've always come here, but as of late, compared to the others, the kids here... are actually on it.WITH A SMILE. Food on point. Don't sleep on WB

A definite go to. Try to get there while the outside is open in the summer. The inside is just as good. Nice and roomy, good food, food staff. Highly recommended

If you want good seafood by the water this IS NOT the move. Restaurant on the water serving frozen fish. Fish and chips isn’t fresh and gross 🤮. Crab bisque was good. Service was great but atmosphere and food is like a dirty bar where you shouldn’t be eating. **This is a waste of a restaurant.** Another menu item is listed as “fresh cod” but the other fish is some kind of frozen pre fried tilapia. It was brown like the skin side 🤮 $600 for a stomach ache

Only been there twice, but it was sunset both times, we had a great table on the waterway and it was just great. The food was very fresh, and the staff was kind and nice. Great local joint.

Com Ga Ninh Kieu is a delightful gem nestled in Atlantic City, just a short stroll from the bustling boardwalk. With its vibrant yellow walls and inviting brown tables, this casual eatery creates a warm atmosphere perfect for enjoying authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The extensive menu features traditional dishes that are both flavorful and reasonably priced, making it an ideal spot for those looking to escape the typical tourist fare of pizza and burgers.
An authentic Vietnamese restaurant that impressed me. The summer rolls had a delightful chewy texture and fresh ingredients that added great flavor. I also tried their special pho, which was rich and aromatic with perfectly cooked noodles and tender meat. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience that I highly recommend for anyone wanting genuine Vietnamese cuisine.
Suzanne C — Google review
Food and service were excellent! Everything came out quick, and waiters were attentive. Reason for 4 stars vs 5 stars is because the pig feet in the Bun Bo Hue was hard to eat. It should be cooked longer until it's softer 😅 but other than that, delicious 😋
Mandy Y — Google review
I stopped on in for dinner. Was tired of sub sandwiches. I ordered the fried pork summer roll and pho special bowl, and Vietnamese coffee. The roll was great and they fried the pork fresh as it was hot in the roll. The pho was perfect. I thought a little light on noodle but good quantity of meats. The atmosphere was nothing special but who cares when you have good food.

Very good Vietnamese restaurant on Atlantic Avenue main drag. Nice wide area. Attentive and friendly staff & some of the best Vietnamese food we've had anywhere- plan to return as often as possible. Delicious fine noodles meal with 'lemongrass chicken, vegetables including beansprouts, onions, cilantro..! Really great! Delicious pork& shrimp spring rolls. Had terrific Vietnamese Coffee...looking forward to being there again soon! %^)

Always eat here (or have it delivered) when I’m in AC! Food portions are generous, food is consistently good, reasonably priced and food comes out fairly quick. There’s a small parking lot around the corner too so you don’t have to deal with street parking. Beware, they do automatically charge 15% gratuity and 4% surcharge on all credit card payments, so bring cash if you can!
Vy H — Google review
Here’s your review translated into English with the same strong, frustrated tone you used in Korean: ⸻ As someone who has always loved Vietnamese noodles, this is the first time I’ve ever experienced such unfriendly service. The owner treated us in such an unpleasant way that it left me shocked. I ordered the shrimp pho, but it was overly greasy and had a very strong smell. When I asked to change it, they didn’t even show a hint of apology. Because of that, I felt upset but still paid—and they charged us for the food we didn’t even touch! I’m not someone who usually leaves reviews, but this place ruined my entire day. I honestly want to warn everyone: absolutely, absolutely do NOT go here! I’m really angry. At any other normal restaurant, wouldn’t they at least ask why the customer doesn’t want the food? Or why they’re paying for something they didn’t eat? Any decent restaurant would at least show some regret when taking your money. This was such an unpleasant experience.
Chris C — Google review
ABSOLUTELY Hands down the BEST Vietnamese food in Atlantic City!!! Service is amazing too. I ordered Beef with broken rice and lemongrass and hot tea! 10/10 Top Tier!!! Don’t sit on this restaurant! Go visit them and you’ll be so happy that you did!!! Staff is exceptional as well!!! They just did a renovation of their restaurant! Delicious food!!!

Restaurant
Black Cat Bar & Grill is a laid-back restaurant with a mix of classic diner fare and Italian dishes, all served in a charming old-school setting. The star of the menu is their signature paper-thin crust pizza, which keeps patrons coming back for more. The atmosphere exudes a traditional South Jersey bar vibe that perfectly complements the straightforward nature of their pizza. Guests also rave about the exceptional service provided by the staff, who are attentive and friendly.
Random pick for us and we're so pleasantly surprised. Fantastic food. Huge portions. Great prices. Servers were so nice. Probably the best tater tots and sweet potato fries we've ever had. We will be back, heard the pizza is amazing. So much to choose from on the menu.
Paul L — Google review
Black Cat Bar & Grill was a nice choice after traveling through the rain. When walking in you first recognize the spacious bar area. The seating area around and into another section is nicely arranged. The music was a perfect mix and the food was very good. The crab cake sandwich was delicious and the perfect size. Homemade and browned just right. The fries were the perfect addition. The Turkey Reuben Sandwich was a choice well made and if you're any kind of Reuben fan this is a must-try. The desert area faces you when sitting near the bar and is so inviting. Prices are very affordable and The Black Cat Bar & Grill is a must-visit. Their pizza also looks delicious and their options are plenty.
B F — Google review
I just returned from dinner. I had heard they have good turkey. I ordered the open face turkey platter. What was served was shredded pieces of turkey smothered in gravy on white bread and a side of runny looking cole slaw. It actually looked like they gathered up the scraps of turkey that fell off when they were carving and dropped it on bread then gravy. It really had no taste, just tasted like the gravel. The funny thing was they brought a steak knife with the meal even though there was no turkey that needed carving. Big disappointment! On a positive note the French onion soup wasn’t bad. That’s why I gave them 2 stars.
John F — Google review
Sat at the bar, ordered potato skins which were very good, and the fried chicken. Asked waitress how many Pieces came with the dinner and she said she would get back to me but never did it ended up being 4. Which was good for the pricey cost that it was. Chicken was done it was crispy it was OK for New Jersey. It came with fries and coleslaw. If I had been blindfolded I would swear the coleslaw was tuna fish. Not appealing. They do have a package liquor area available for takecount on your way but it is more expensive than your standard liquor store in the area. Overall I would go back again. But try to limit my choices based on the expensive prices for bar food. C+
Jodi C — Google review
Food was served fast and came out hot and perfectly cooked. We both had chicken francaise with angel hair pasta and we were both pleasantly surprised since they had more of a tavern/ pub menu. Good service from friendly staff, including drink refills and other special requests. I would go again!
C B — Google review
The name definitely caught my attention since I have a black cat. Awesome service and beautiful decorations. The only reason I chose a 3 star was because the prices were extremely expensive and the food was nothing special. Would still recommend.
Christina ( — Google review
I've passed Black Cat a hundred times. We finally stopped in for a bite to eat. I was pleasantly surprised. I've had the wrong impression from the outside. They have a very large menu. We had the special cheesesteak and large plain pie. Both were delicious. I will definitely be back to more things.

Food is good we go about four times a year. Not sure if it was the restaurant fault but after eating there last week my credit card was hacked. But I would still eat there but I would pay cash moving forward

Absolutely yes! Tried this place out yesterday and was so impressed we tried it out today too. 2 days in a row! Best french onion soup in the state of NJ! Every dish we tried was bursting in flavor. Definitely impressed with their seasoning and portions. Highly recommended.

I've been coming here for years. They closed down and reopened under new management. The last time I went, the bar shut down earlier than normal, and I felt rushed to place my last drink and carry out order by the bartender. It wasn't a pleasant experience, but I understand. Normally, it's a good atmosphere and the staff is friendly. That one experience knocked a couple of stars down for me. Their wings are FIRE THO! And the live entertainment is cool. A good place to come with friends.

We have a good time each time we go. The band was great Saturday night. Every seat was taken and the staff was still attentive. Even the owner Lilly was hands on making sure everyone is comfortable.

Slow service. Food was blah , Nacho's listed on the menu with shredded cheese were actually nachos with Velveeta. Won't be back.
Zach F — Google review
What can I say about this place? It has been a wonderful food establishment since I ran across it back in 2002. It hold many great memories of warm times, hilarious endeavors, and a time when amazing things were happening in my life and those around me. The food was abundant, the prices were unbelievably low, and the service was amazing. Whether a small group, large group, or me on a rare day off, I couldn't wait to stop by and eat there. Thanks for the memories and the food!!! Can't wait to go back!

Last time I got the hot blue ranch tail tenders they were great, this time they were dried out, tough, and didn’t have barely any sauce. Did takeout both times.
Julia E — Google review
I went for taco Tuesday and quizzo. There was a large crowd, still quick service, and the tacos were just 3 for $6. They changed up the taco recipe a bit from the last time I went there, and I’m loving the changes. Nothing fancy with the tacos, just good inexpensive taco Tuesday tacos, which is exactly what I was craving.

So happy to try out Reddogs Hi Point Pub!! I had come to this establishment in the past when it was under different ownership and am thrilled to see it reopened with new ownership, great food, and friendly service. The food was delicious, and for me, the main event was the crab bisque. This is something they carried over from the former establishment and I am so glad they did. It is the best crab bisque in the area. There is a little takeaway area where you can pick up liquor to go and there is something going on almost every evening like karaoke, trivia, live music, etc. Definitely come get some bisque, a meal and a cold drink at Reddog’s Hi Point Pub.

Seafood restaurant
If you're on the hunt for a seafood haven, look no further than PJ Buckets in Ventnor and Ocean City. This charming spot offers an array of delectable options, including their renowned Heavy Veggie Maryland Crab Soup and Cream of Alaskan King Crab Soup. Visitors rave about the freshness and affordability of the seafood dishes, with highlights like clam chowder and shrimp that leave taste buds dancing. The atmosphere is casual yet inviting, making it an ideal place to unwind after a day of exploring.
We recently visited PJ Buckets in Atlantic City and absolutely loved it! This place serves the best seafood we've had in a while—everything was fresh and incredibly affordable. We particularly enjoyed the clam chowder and shrimp, both of which were delicious. The service was quick, and the staff were amazing, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, perfect for a laid-back meal. If you're looking for great seafood at a great price, PJ Buckets is the place to go!

Lobster boil was fantastic. (I spent summers growing up on CapeCod) Homemade corn bread is to die for. Unique Cole slaw was also delicious. PJ Buckets is Ventnor City's hidden gem
Sid D — Google review
This place was a joke. The boil sauce was literally just seasoned water—no flavor, just a watery mess with floating garlic. Our order was supposed to come with corn and potatoes—didn’t get either. Nor did we get the second sauce we ordered.. Or the cornbread or roll where it specifically says “all boils include homemade cornbread or roll” me and my friend both have horrible stomach aches from the food. the crab was way over cooked. To top it off, our server forgot our cocktail sauce and never once checked on us. Terrible service, bland food, and a waste of money. Never again.
Ky L — Google review
Let me tell you why you need to get to PJ Buckets. A couple years ago we were in town for a family reunion. A smaller group of us were out and about and stopped in to PJ Buckets, Ventnor location. A couple years go by and we are STILL talking about the quality of the food at this joint. I don't remember anywhere else we ate on that trip. But we all remember the seafood boils at PJ Buckets. Don't sleep on this place. Get there, today. And they have shirts. Get yourself a proper T-shirt.
Jason R — Google review
We were in Atlantic City for 4 days and went to a couple different places, looking for good seafood. Even went to the "fancy" steak and seafood restaurant in the resort/casino we stayed at. Was disappointed by all of them. On our last night there we found this place, and i wish we had found it sooner!! The boils were amazingly delicious. And, the service was outstandingly friendly!! The building made us a little skeptical upon arriving, but the inside was clean, and the staff was welcoming. I cannot recommend this place enough!!
Keith T — Google review
3rd time eating at PJ Buckets in Ventnor, 1st time this summer of 2025. Food was just bad, especially for the price. We ordered 2 double platters with crab legs, hard boiled eggs, clams, shrimp, corn. ($59.99) I also ordered a small fries, and a $25 lobster roll. (They sell a full lobster at the restaurant for $22.) Fries came after about 20 minutes, lukewarm and about 14 fries. Like 1/2 of a child size order? Both of our platters were missing the shrimp! None! Had to ask for shrimp, which then took over 1/2 hour to get, and arrived as we were finishing. The clams were at the bottom and so overcooked they weren't edible, the crab legs were overcooked, but edible. The corn was killed and flavorless, simple. My $25 lobster roll???? 4-5oz of meat, tops. Grilled roll was good, but I think they cut the roll to make it shorter. It wasn't worth $10 let alone $25. It was served hot, with no noticeable seasonings or butter sauce. Meat itself was pretty good, but I got 2 stringy bites. The entire roll was probably 4 bites. There were 5 of us, and for over $200, it was not worth the money by any means. The experience took about 2 hours, and we were way too frustrated to go fight about the bill. (Our bench seat was rusted and wobbly, we had to move. (We sat outside.) The service was super slow, but there are only a few tables. Last year, it was a completely different experience.
Eric C — Google review
PJ Buckets was amazing! We came here with a family of 10 and it was an incredible time. Incredible service from PJ himself. We had more than enough room. We got the NJ boil and the Louisiana boil- most delicious seafood we've ever had. Delicious crab, scallops, shrimp, and CORN BREAD! Best prices in town too. We will absolutely be coming back every summer now!
Maeve B — Google review
Hmm....44.99 for a pound of Kings Crabs Legs. Fair I guess. Except we were charged 54.99 because of the dreaded MK Price on the menu. It said "from" 44.99 on the menu and was indeed the skimpiest pound of King Crabs imaginable. I get it, seafood is pricey, but market price shouldn't be a license to price gouge The reviews about the unclean tables sort of track. Ours was not filthy, but also not clean. The Alaska King Crab soup was definitely amazing and served hot! Yum. The vegetables were not, and served partially frozen with both meals!! Oof. They didn't give us crab crackers, plastic gloves, refills or a check-in from our waitress to see if we needed those things. They weren't busy. We weren't difficult. It was just bad service from a super nice waitress. After a think about it, for that kind of coin, I can't think of a reason not to take our business to Doc's and get a higher-tier meal with white glove service. But I also truly hope they improve for other customers in all aspects.

Everything I have had at Water Dog has been nothing short of sensational and the Lobster roll today was no different. Attention to detail on the sandwiches and making every part of them with the highest quality ingredients is what separates it from the rest. I enjoy coming here as often as possible when I'm in the area and for good reason.

Good food even during the COVID pandemic. First time and been meaning to eat here for awhile. Had the brisket burnt ends sandwich and thought they were a little too dry, but the portion size was huge. Poke bowl was very appetizing. Dr Dan and Low Country pork were all piled high with meat. Will definitely return for more and will try their breakfast next time.

Stopped in on a bagel run but was greeted by the full effect - so much smoked salmon and pastrami-encrusted smoked salmon. This became a homemade lox which made the morning, and can't wait to get back to Water Dog for the sandwiches from their deli counter!
