The place is very nice, we stayed on the interior terrace. I had the duck breast and I liked it a lot. My boyfriend got the beef and he was a little disappointed. The dessert was very good. We shared one for two.

First time here and probably we will come again. The restaurant specific is the food prepared in a traditional wood oven and food was well prepared and tasty. Services a bit chaotic, but indeed was very busy and somehow is understandable. A bit strange was the fact that you cannot order a full bottle of the wines which were served by glass…

Service⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️the most attentive service we experienced for the whole week in Romania Food the crispy knuckle⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ has very good flavor, the skin is baked crispy yet the meat is not dry at all. The white wasabi/mustard sauce add a very interesting kick to the meat. The only thing lack is some pickled onions or cabbage to ease away the oiliness. Black pasta with shrimp ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ is cook to perfect texture, and the creamy sauce is not overwhelming. The only downside is the shrimp is marinated in baking soda to prevent shrinking in size, so it loses the natural texture of cooked shrimp. A warm and cosy place to have a dinner, with excellent service and delicious food. This was during the FITS theatre festival and the prices are a bit over the average, but overall a very good experience.

We knew it was going to be great based on the size of the crowd as almost every table was full. I would definitely recommend trying one of the pan dishes as they are really well done. The food was alright and there were some good vegetarian options. The staff isn t the friendliest but the waiters do their job quite okay. The alfredo pasta were good and also the shrimp ones. The location is very good. I wouldn t recommend the “papanasi” because they tasted really bad. The menu had some fun names that I really appreciated. Overall the restaurant is good for a quick lunch.

Our last night in Sibiu was well spent at Kulinarium, where we enjoyed local dishes with a refined twist. Great service, a beautiful setting in Piața Mică, and a lovely way to end our trip.

Right by the old town, wooden tables and a homely kitchen smell. I start with a warm soup and move to grilled meat with simple sides. Clean flavours, honest portions, a local wine that pleasantly surprises. Friendly service and no rush. The right spot when you want good food without fuss.

We had an excellent dining experience. The staff was kind enough to find us a table, even on a busy Saturday evening. Despite the restaurant being quite full, the service was unexpectedly fast and efficient. The food was very flavorful—I especially enjoyed the roasted eggplant with goat cheese and nuts, while the main dishes (beef schnitzel and trout) were also delicious. We dined inside and loved the décor and atmosphere, but the terrace also looked inviting, set right by the little square outside. They also offered a nice selection of beer and wine to complement the meal.

Average experience, we went for lunch. This is our third visit over the past year. The waiter was nice enough, although a bit intrusive with the questions and a bit too forced in his service. We asked for two lemonades without ice, waiter said that it is difficult to serve without ice... 🤔, I had never experienced this before. Food is average - trout salad is meh, thin strips of smoked trout, with salad and some thinly sliced bell pepper with a vinegar and olive oil sauce. The veal snitzeal was frozen and then fried. Nothing special. For dessert, the papanaşi (small portion) were definitely not traditional in any way, they were so sweet, so much added sugar that my child could not finish them, ate less than half of the portion. As for the ambiance, nothing special, kinda old furniture and design. The AC was switched off during a hot summer day.

A delightful European/local restaurant in Sibiu. The waiter was honest and provided excellent wine recommendations that perfectly complemented the flavours of the dishes. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous without being excessive.

We had a fabulous dinner here and loved it so much we came back again the next night. Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and superb service. We recommend the beef tenderloin, grilled lamb chops, the slow cooked pork and the chocolate cake and papanaşi for dessert.

Absolutely marvellous dinner at Pardon! We started the dinner being received by Claudio who welcomed us and assist us through the dinner in warm and helpful way. Marius, the chef, also greeted us in a very kind way. The food is just formidable. From the soup to the main dishes, everyone was very happy with their food. Super delicious and well prepared dishes. We highly recommend Pardon to everyone who visits Sibiu. We wish all the best to Claudio, Marius and the team!

As a short review, this place is pretty good and cozy. We chose the patio, as the weather was perfect. The waiter was great. She handled our silly jokes with elegance. The food? Pretty good. I chose the mussels. Though, they were not the best mussels ever, they were pretty good. My only complain was that I had to pay cash. I knew beforehand, as I was informed when I made the reservation, but still, in 2024, I had to pay cash in the old town of Sibiu? This is pretty ridiculous. I hope they fix this issue next time I'll visit and I will update my rating.

The service was a bit rude but I have to give the 5 stars because the goulash with polenta and egg I ate here was the best I have ever eaten. We tried the papanasi as well and it was very good, one plate is enough for two people.

The food is excellent!!! Traditional “ciorba” were all delicious. I highly recommend it! Also, great service, on time and at the right temperature(since we were with kids, and they don’t want to wait for the food to cool off).

Haven't stayed in the hotel, but we've stopped for the food here, expecting average touristy food at steeper prices. But honestly, everything's pretty good and the prices are nice. Fish n chips was great, very yummy cabbage rolls and papanasi. The letdown was visiting the toilet - I advise you not to

We went to have lunch there since the location was great and the food seemed tasty. Indeed it was a nice meal, but the service wasn't the best. I was looking for the restroom and they just shouted "left" and said some romanian words which didn't seem friendly at all. It was the manager who came in to explain the way. The waitress didn't explain anything to us, and we tried to ask something but she ignored us, no english she said, and we just pointed the things in the menú. Finally, It was the moment of paying, the waitress showed us the bill, we said "ok" and then she said in Rumaniam something superfast, and approached the dataphone to the card, we noticed that the situation was weird that was because she just added the maximum tip without consent, we felt cheated.

Was here for the breakfast, i couldn’t say that i was impressed but it was decent. Came here on a friend’s suggestion for a great breakfast, but it was not the case for me. The location is very pretty, decorated in a pure Romanian style with some old furniture elements. We will definitely be back to try the bean soup. Try it out, maybe it will be for you taste

The burger was delicious, but the pizza is the worst, in my case Margherita. It's looking and on taste like a ready-made base from the store, sauce was spread on it and a little cheese was put on it, without even covering it all. In this square, in the nearby restaurants, there is tasty pizza from the oven for the same, or cheaper price, but here it doesn't even look and taste like pizza. Also in this restaurant people from the street constantly come and asking for money. I won’t come back again

Restaurant Monsieur Joben in Sibiu’s Piața Mare is a lively spot. I tried the pork neck soup and lamb — both flavorful and well-seasoned. The service was friendly, outdoor seating is pleasant, and the atmosphere makes it easy to relax while enjoying a hearty meal. A solid choice for a meal in the old town.

We arrived so late at this restaurant, i think we wore the only one table at that hour. The waitress was kind enough to serve us with smile on. The food was amazing, i’m telling you. And the “papanasi” … unique. Super good unique taste. Loved also the joben cocktail. Thanks for a great night!

A place where the star food is meat. We went for something light and had a Caesar salad and a Shrimp salad. Both had that red salad that is very bitter and too much dressing. The chicken was fridge cold when it should freshly cooked.

We came to this restaurant hungry and thirsty, we are not disappointed! Everything was amazing service food drinks. Servers are very tentative and are aware of everything that you might or want for your food. 10/10 will come back next year! Raluca was our server ask for her when you come!

Excellent service. We arrived here on a busy hour (20:00 pm), although it was crowded, the waiter was more than prompt, polite, he served us quickly. We ordered a pizza and a lava cake and we had some delicious drink (exotic lemonade, whiskey, tonic gin). We decided to take away the pizza to eat it in our room. Unfortunately I did not take a photo of the lava cake but it was delicious and the plating was to die for. I recommend this place!

My Romanian friend advised me to try the Papanassi here, because they are boiled rather than made in the usual manner. And I loved them! I know others have said they didn't like the boiled ones, but it is a matter of taste. I enjoyed them. I live in Denmark and these have a similar consistency to rum balls, but are not so overly sweet. Also must mention, the service was very friendly here. Update: it's a few days later, and I had the opportunity to try the fried version of Papanassi in another town, and I have to say that the boiled version I had here is much more to my liking. They are really good. One must just be aware that the boiled Papanassi is like a different dish than the fried version. I so miss the Monsieur Joben version!

I enjoy finding special places in Sibiu where you can have quality food, served by friendly staff, in a pleasant atmosphere. I recently visited O'Sushi and was very pleasantly surprised by the vibe of the place, which blends a Japanese atmosphere with the feeling of summer evenings by the seaside, somewhere close to home. The music was just to my taste. That evening, I listened to Radiohead, Lenny Kravitz, Skunk Anansie, U2, and Kings Of Leon. The staff was friendly, well-prepared, and helpful in assisting me to choose a sushi mix. The order was served quickly. The sushi was absolutely delicious and nicely presented. The ingredients were fresh, and the rice was well cooked. O'Sushi is definitely a place I will return to with friends. I recommend it to all sushi lovers, as well as to those who haven’t tried it yet.

Tried Osushi recently and was really impressed! The sushi was fresh and flavorful—just the right balance of taste and texture. You can tell they care about quality. The service was also great—friendly, attentive, and fast without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a smooth and satisfying experience. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to any sushi lover.

Best sushi in town and an authentic experience. Ingredients are carefully sourced, salmon is always fresh and tasty plus a lot of other options. You'll find real wasabi, excellent quality rice and the closest thing to a sushi chef outside of Japan. A must!

I have been looking for good sushi since I moved to Romania and I have found it in Osushi. Service was wonderful, the Miso soup was the best I have ever had, and the sushi was fresh and so good. I will be back regularly and I am so thankful to have found them.

Sushi and fusion cusine - one of the best choices in town! We are sushi-experience addicted ppl. And we had the pleasure and surprise to find in Sibiu a very good place to enjoy fresh sushi. We ve appreciated the well balanced prepared rice, not too sweet, not too sticky and the taste of the vinegar was very subtile. The nori was moistured and well glued so that the piece of sushi does not fall apart. The bites, slightly unequal cut were medium- small, quite suitable to be chewed elegantly without looking like you're stuffed. We asked for salmon, avocado and cucumber ingredients- one can not go wrong with these if testing a new eatery. We did appreciate the small amount of wasabi in nigiri- some chefs forget about it. We also loved the quality of avocado: riped and fresh. And the cucumber maki was perfect to change the taste when swiching between ingredients. We should ve use the ginger and we did, but as much as we like it. If we want to aim for excellence I could suggest to change the soapy pickled ginger and to offer the possibility to the clients to consume the slightly salted soysauce (with green lit). I have to admit that we didnt asked for it- I wouldnt be surprised if they have it already! We were just hypnotized by the food and hungry- hence the lack of pictures- it looked and was wonderful! If 5* are reserved for an authentic japanese sushi, 4* are the best we can award to a very good quality sushi we highly enjoyed. So, thank you for your great hospitality, it was such a pleasure to be welcomed and greeted with a sincere smile and kindness. We ll meet again! (Later edit: we returned 16h later for a gargantuan brunch: trout salad, simple omlette, rice with coconut milk- and we were impressed by the way they cooked the trout and the rice with coconut milk- excellent!)

place itself is completely empty and at first it was kind of confusing. There was only one waiter for the whole restaurant and you could see she didn’t like that fact. They don’t have printed menu for everything, so you have to go to the web site to make an order, which is okay for younger people or tourist who always connected to the internet. Order came quick and sushi which we ordered was very decent. Wasn’t a worse place we’ve visit, but I would probably not going to be back there again.

Food here is fabulous and the restaurant is an adorable little place off the main drag (Balcescu). The portion sizes were great and the food was delicious, though there was a considerable wait time (45min-1hr) from ordering to serving. If you're not in a rush, it's a lovely vegan spot away from the bustle of Sibiu.

Such a little gem in Sibiu. I went for dinner both nights I was there. Such a cute little mostly raw restaurant, serving the most delicious raw vegan cakes. They have literally nailed the taste and texture! If you're in Sibiu and vegan or just into raw veganism I highly recommend going here. The waitress and other staff are all very friendly and helpful

We had a platter with several meats and sides- the mici were a bit dry and the ribs - although very tasty, a bit dry as well (either the meat was to lean or it was overcooked). The sausages were good and the chicken strips were crunchy and perfectly cooked. The sides were also really good (baked potatoes and grilled mushrooms filled with cheese and bacon). The sauces are tasty and seem home made. The pickles were OK and the salads were fresh. The french fries were nod bad but nothing special. The lemonades were good - the one with ginger a bit too sweet. Prices are ok, some dishes a bit much some on the cheap side - but during the work week, they have a great deal with several choices (from 12:00 to 16:00).

Gotta like the lack of interest of the staff. I love being ignored. Just stay home and get a six pack of beers at this point.

We, as a group of 9, were there to watch the soccer game. It looked kinda nice. Then we waited 25 minutes, till the service showed up. He just placed a sign with a QR code for an English menu, to look up online. So we did. Another few minutes later we ordered. The service had a harsh tone from the beginning. Took another 45 minutes for our second round. When we wanted to pay, he said in an even harsher tone: his system doesn't allow a split bill. Best at the end: no toilet paper in the woman's toilet, asked the waitress, she gave us a few napkins. Maybe the food is nice. The Ambiente Looks nice to, but the service is just ruining the visit.

Small hidden restaurant, but one of the best in town! Changing menu all year round, all very creative and tasy dishes. Perfect hideaway for long summer nights on their lovely terrace. Amazing restaurant to enjoy a meal. The space is small, with both indoor and outdoor tables. Better to book in advance. The menu is creative and changes often, every few weeks. The food and products follow the season. We usually come a couple of times each month.

Great food and service. The celeriac, rhubarb and hazelnut salad was a surprisingly delightful combination that worked well. The tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and leeks was among the best pastas I’ve had. Very small restaurant. Make reservations.

We came for pizza and wine. Half of the pizza was vegetarian, and for the forst time in my life I saw carrot and peas on the pizza. It looked like typical frozen veggies from the supermarket :D The other half of the pizza was ok, wine good and cheap, good atmosphere, so I give 4 stars anyway. But dear owners/cooks, please dont do it for vegetarians and do not use frozen carrot and peas on the pizza! Thank you :)

The food is amazing and so are the prices! But the service takes a lot away. First time i went the order was messed up and received a different plate from what I originally ordered. You cannot pay with a card it is cash only and nobody informed us until the bill came. Not to mention that we waited about 30 minutes for our drinks and almost 2 hours for the food. I was very irritated especially since people that came after us were receiving their orders... as good as the food and the prices are I will not be going back there any time soon unfortunately because of the bad service. Change or hire more personnel!

Good food, fast service, friendly staff. This small fast food restaurant is located in the center of Sibiu, on the pedestrian Balcescu street. The atmosphere is pleasant. However the place at the table is tight. Not all people are skinny to fit in such a small place.

The place is over crowded. There are only 2 staff members one is making the food, the other is getting money and the crowd is barely fitting in the store. Overall, the food is good and the coffee also. I had a pumkin spice latte. Pretty good!

Never go when in a hurry. The staff are nice and polite but some of them are really really really slow. Had to wait more than 10 minutes for a sandwich and I was the only one in line. Other than that, their sandwiches are great!

The bread wasn’t good and they are a bit too crazy (loud) on the music but otherwise like any other subway anywhere. The employee was nice which is rare in Sibiu...

Subway is very popular among the teenagers of the city, due to its location in the city centre. The fast-food has two storeys, but it is still pretty small, and if there are many people inside, you can't find a table. The food is typical Subway and the prices are affordable.

The pizza was tasty and warm, delivered pretty quick. I tried a pepperoni one and the dough was soft, cheese melted well. It arrived in less than an hour, box clean, no problem with the order. For a chain place it was good enough, not the best in town but definitely fine when hungry and want something fast.

They recently changed the location. Now the space is bigger, better decorated and more "cozy". However it is no longer in the center. As of the quality of the food... It's the same we're used to. Very good pizzas, very good customer support and usually takes no longer than 1h if you request them to deliver the food at your door. Very satisfied

Worst pizza in my life.

We ordered two pizzas and one special bbq chicken. The chicken was fine but the pizza dough was not cooked! Both me and my girlfriend had food poisoning from it and we feel extremely sick because of it. We can't stop throwing up! Furthermore, to take my order, make the pizza, and deliver it 10 minutes away took only 15 minutes! Which makes me think the pizza was not fresh and no wonder it wasn't fully cooked! It only hit the oven for less than 5 minutes! I asked around and everyone told me only negative stories with domino's.. please don't put your health at risk and don't order here

While the staff was relatively friendly, I advise you to double check the prices with them before you order, because the menus they have on the table might be wrong and they don't seem to think it's important to let people know. Furthermore, even if you do complain about this, they will probably not do anything about it. This is shameful customer service.

I love this fish restaurant in Sibiu. I always eat here when in town. My favorite is the grilled trout.

Freshness is what makes this place stand out. The fish tastes like it came straight from the water, not like the frozen type you usually find in stores. A fish soup and a portion of fried perch made the visit worth it. Portions were not small, enough for two people to share. Some time ago I stopped here on the way and ended up staying longer because of the calm atmosphere. It is not about fancy presentation, it is more about real food that feels natural.

Very disappointing service, average and overpriced food. We've been here twice already, once for dinner and another time for lunch. I felt this was the time to leave an honest review. Place fully empty, nobody came to serve us or asks us anything for more than 10 mins. When the waiter came he barely spoke English and was clearly confused about the menu.
