We went there monday night for dinner. The ambience was really good, location of the restaurant is good too, and it had great reviews, so we wanted to check it out. Food was alright, but the service was very slow. It took an hour and 15 minutes for food to arrive from when we ordered. We were hungry and jet lagged, and were sleeping by the time food arrived!

Exceptional service for this priceclass. Food was good, wine was great. After ordering a glass of red, I got even a better glass of red than I what I orderded, which was amezing. Beer tasted a bit funny, I think the glass was not rinsed after cleaning, but not the wine more than made up for that. Should def try this restaurant and try the cheesecake when your there 🤤

With my friends, I have an amazing evening at Casa Grinda restaurant. Food was delicious, impeccable service, very friendly staff. Strongly recommend to enjoy good food, great location in old town Sibiu. Daniela

Very nice atmosphere, excellent tastes ( i had a great carbonara, better than many restaurants in Italy), helpful, kind stuff (the lady serving us was great and always smiling). Just GO.

The hotel has an excellent location, right in the heart of the old city. The service is good, and the spa is pleasant and very clean. However, the rooms are very outdated, with old furniture and creaky beds that detract from the overall experience. While the historical charm of the building is appealing, the interior could benefit from modernization.

Great hotel with very nice, big rooms. The hotel itself is grand and well maintained and clean. It is also extremely well situated close to all the attractions in the Old town. Parking is also close and convenient. The Spa facilities were great to have, and it was amazing to have the Steam room, Sauna and swimming pool. The only thing was the Sauna did not get very hot, it was only at 45°C. Overall it is an amazing place to stay and well priced for out of season. I would recommend!

No joke— the breakfast rivals the Four Seasons! It’s worth it just for that! Rooms have a feel of “the 70’s take on a royal theme” but I didn’t really care cos it was clean, comfortable, convenient location, and that breakfast was so good I will think about it for a while— it’s also in a ballroom that looks super elegant and polished, fit for a queen. Friendly service too. And a relief to know there is someone at the desk 24/7 unlike a few other hotels in the area. I didn’t check out the spa but there’s a pool plus two saunas.

Located in Sibiu Centre this hotel offers a good start to visit the old town. But it lives on the reputation it has from old times. The public area appears opulent, the staff is very helpful and friendly but that's it. The rooms are old fashioned, haven't been modernized in a long time, the bathrooms are very small with old armatures and some only offer bathtubes with no standalone shower. We asked for a room change because of this which fulfilled promptly and friendly. Our first room was overheated, the second one a little cool with mobile electric heaters placed behind the door. In both rooms there wasn't any possibility to regulate the heating. Breakfast is just standard, e.g. there was no yoghurt but only milk for cereals. Overall it is not a bad place but we had been expecting more according to reputation and price, especially the rooms we saw would fit more to a 3 star hotel.

This hotel keeps its old image of an outstanding central accomodation, but no major improvements have been made in a while, or so it seems. The rooms have old furniture that was painted in a bit brighter colors, but even that paint is chipped and the carpet that covers the whole floor just seems dirty and it's sticky in some places. There is a fridge, a coffee machine with a few pods, an electric tea pot, mugs and glasses, one use slippers, bath robes, towels and bath amenities. The bathroom was unfitting for this hotel, it looked more like a small old apartment bathroom or the one of a student dorm. You can hear other people in their rooms or their TVs, the walls are very thin. The breakfast was also far from a 4 star hotel, with cheap products and old fruits. The only good thing about it was how close it is from the city center. The parking lot is small and people double park.

Historic, but showing it's age. Our double room is a two story affair, bedroom upstairs, bathroom downstairs. I wouldn't stay here again.

This hotel is conveniently situated in a quiet area, with a bus stop and a park just steps away. The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. On-site parking is available, though it appears to come with a charge. Breakfast, served from 7:00 AM, is serviceable but not outstanding. The beverage machine offers rather odd drinks, so we'd suggest sticking to the tea or coffee facilities for your morning brew. You'll find a better selection of savory items at breakfast. While the rooms have seen some renovation, they clearly show their age. The air conditioning functions, but it emits strange noises that make it impossible to use overnight. On the bright side, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the room is spotlessly cleaned every day. The bathroom, however, is a peculiar design: expect a complete flood whenever you shower. Despite this unique feature, the rest of your stay should be problem-free.

Hotel is in very Good place, 1.5km from central of town, near beautiful park, stadium and playground. It has its own parking. Room was clean, spacious and nice. Breakfast served between 7-10am and very tasty, everyone can find something for themself. People were very nice and professional. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and I must say salmon was amazing. We definitely recommend this place.

Best Western Silva is a slightly older hotel and not exactly on the budget-friendly side. The rooms aren’t particularly modern, and overall, the place could definitely benefit from some renovation, especially considering the price point. However, the location makes up for a lot — it’s practically in the middle of the park, which gives it a peaceful and green setting. The rooms with balconies are a big plus and add to the overall experience. Breakfast was mediocre, nothing memorable. For the rate they charge, a refresh of the rooms and facilities would be more than welcome. Still, the quiet location might make it worth it for some travelers.

My review is about the restaurant: Disappointing Papanași ! An unpleasant aftertaste of oil, like reused fryer oil, took away from the enjoyment. With a more generous helping of sour cream and fresher oil for frying, these papanasi could have been a true Romanian delight

We were invited to a celebration that was being held here. The banquet was something else to behold. The first course floored us and the soups, as they always are in Romania, were exquisite, we had to stop eating after this point. The cocktails were first class, we had the waiter help recommend them to us and he selected ones to match the food - slightly sour and sharp tasting. Is near a lovely park and very close to the older part of the city making it a good choice. Was impressed.

Good place to stay, but i can't give 5 because: 1. I've been noticed at the reception that I have to pay a tax for parking, that was not noticed upon the reservation. 2. The breakfast is not the quality I would expect from this hotel. Not bad, but below average in my experience. Otherwise the staff was nice and friendly and the location is very nice, inside a park.

The hotel became “old” and the need of interior refurbishment is clear. Rooms are 10 years behind to a modern hotel from every point. Services provided by people working for the hotel were very good. Location is very good - you just have to cross the street and you are right in the historic city center.

This was a very dismal stay despite the relatively modern appearance of the public areas of the hotel. Although being part of a relatively small tour group, I found it very difficult to obtain a room with a walk in shower (rather than the much more dangerous shower over a bath) - it was only by swapping with other group members that this was sorted. Room maintenance needs attention with various timber frames showing a number of chips. The breakfast buffet was very ordinary by Western European standards. The main benefit of this hotel was its proximity to the old town and pedestrian street. For a city of this size, there doesn’t appear to be much high end accommodation and the Ramada could certainly improve its offering to better appeal to this market!

The rooms were very old, all the furnitures were over used loads of cracks stains and dents. The lobby and the rest looks decent. The breakfast was really nice.

Best place to start your discover of Sibiu! A oasis of elegancy, comfort and well being, where everybody is committed to make you a wonderful stay. From the check in clerks, to bartender and restaurant's captains, I felt embraced by their service and curtesy through their perfect service. Room was upgraded to one of their suites which are huuuge. Spotless cleaning, having excelent toiletries, fluffy towels and comfortable bed, it was all what I needed after a full day in Sibiu, part meetings with clients but also discovering the around the corner medieval city center. Food in the restaurants is so various and amazingly, prices are even better than other locations in the old city center (I would've come only for using the Ramada's Jazzy restaurant). Breakfast - full and very complex buffet, excellent coffees and local pastry. But what makes this property to be number 1 in service, are the employees which are really Ambassadors of their location! Bravo, keep it up!...and obviously, see you next time!

We arrived on vacation, the reception treated us courteously and quickly, the room is large, clean, the beds are comfortable, large breakfasts with a large selection. Highly recommended.

Nice personal, good room conditions and very good selection in the sweeden bufet. The only complain that I have is that they are just 2 elevators, and if a lot of people call it at the same time it will take 10 15 min catch it, as they are no public stairs

The rooms are very nice. The only minus is the degradation of the red leather parts of the furniture. The solution was not the perfect one considering traffic. Very good breakfast.

This is an amazing location. It’s located on a quiet street, a few steps away from the old town. The room was big, the bed and bedding were extremely comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean and spacious with great water pressure. Loved the fact that they even provide wash cloths which I haven’t seen in many European hotels. The staff was outstanding and extremely friendly. I highly recommend this location.

Location is great. It's quite but only a short walk into the historic centre, and only a couple of minutes from the city walls. The rooms were spacious, warm, and fridges stocked. They also provide a large bottle of water for free each day too. The breakfast is good, with an offer of fried eggs or omelette on top of the buffet breakfast.

Stayed here two times, decent prices, very kind staff, perfect location, good breakfast and most importantly: close to the city center with a private parking place in a quiet area (secondary nice street)

We really enjoyed our stay here! Very close to the old town but not in it, which meant there was on-site parking. Our room was very big, modern and comfortable. Great shower, which we appreciated after a day of hiking. Breakfast was delicious and a great start to our days. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

A great accommodation. We stayed 2 nights in the apartment witch has great rooms and a big bathroom. The breakfast was very diverse. Close to the center. We choose it because they had parking. They had also a relaxing little patio. I will definitely recommend it.

For the past 6 years, this is where we stayed each time we were in Sibiu. Rooms are spacious and well kept and the entire place is very clean. The staff is always helpful and nice. They only offer breakfast, but this is not an issue, as the hotel is located in a very quiet area, only 10 mons by foot from the historical centre. The breakfast is nice, balanced, varried and fresh. One if the best assets of this place is the backyard, where you can relax and kids can play barefoot.

Avoid at all cost!! Spent 2 nights here, the first night the AC did not work. We reported it to reception and they said they would have it repaired. We returned to the hotel after midnight and the room had the horrendous smell from a dead rat in the vent and the AC was not fixed. There was only one young female employee in the entire hotel at that time and she said they were fully booked and couldn’t offer any solutions such as candles, air fresheners or anything. We ended up sharing a friend’s room and sleeping in the floor with extra blankets that she was able to provide. We were also astonished that one young woman was left to manage the hotel with no other support or security available. She did her best and was polite but had no support to fix the situation,

We had a very good stay at the Golden Tulip. The staff were kind enough to call me after checkout when I forgot my phone in the room - a big thank you for that! The hotel itself was comfortable, quiet, and clean. The room and bed were very good, slightly outdated in style, but well kept, and we expected that. It’s more of a business hotel feel, but it suited our needs perfectly for a stopover. The only area that could be improved is breakfast. The variety was limited, the toast took ages and barely browned, and I couldn’t find any tea. Perhaps it was just the timing, but it wasn’t quite up to the standard of the rest of the stay. Location is great for reaching the old town, and overall, we enjoyed our time here. Solid choice for a night in Sibiu.

10 minutes walking from the historical center and great view from the dining area. Spacious rooms, but the beds were quite narrow. Helpful staff and big variety of breakfast buffet even though they didn't have soya milk or any other similar milk. The only problem was that the toilet didn't have ventilation and instead of a shower, there was a bathtub, which is difficult for elderly people to get in . Something to think about!!

Hello. Like the review 5 days ago. In short. The breakfast was as if it had been prepared the day before. There was a nice clerk at the reception. And there was also a clerk who was not nice and apparently did not understand his job because for every problem he called to ask someone else. A robot would be better. Besides that, Romania is impressive.

Great business hotel! Good value for the money. Unfortunately the SPA was closed and I couldn’t test it, but overall great experience!

Have you ever experienced that the hotel staff decided that they would give your room to someone else, and by the time you arrived all of your stuff was collected by the cleaners and put to ugly black plastic bags? This is how this hotel treats it's guests. I was a invited to Astra film festival as a film maker. The festival rented a room. Today they informed me that the hotel management wants to give my room to the guests of the manager, so I have to move out. I was on a program, rushing back to the hotel. By the time I arrived, my stuff looked like you can see on the photo. People touched my belongings, my toothbrush was mixed with my shoes, and other things in plastic bags. The receptionist claimed that the reservation was made by this morning, which is not true, as the festival reserved my room for 2 more nights. I learned that the owner have a football team and whenever guests of him or players arrive guests are removed from rooms in case the hotel is full. Make your reservation to Hotel Apollo according these. -- As this is the only form to answer the incorrect statements of the Hotel Management here are the facts: I was invited as a guest by Astra Film Festival, and they booked my room until Saturday morning, not until Friday morning. I contacted the Festival, and they approved this information right there. It is totally unacceptable for the hotel staff to enter a guest's room and touch their personal belongings, breaking all privacy rules. It is shocking that they took the liberty of grabbing my personal belongings and throwing them into garbage bags. Finally it's humiliating that, they claim that they had the right to act so. Future guests of the Apollo hotel should know that they can expect this treatment.

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel after a long drive to Sibiu, Romania. The room was on the small side but very clean with all the amenities. Having breakfast in the restaurant at the same location was a plus.

Room did not look like in the pictures displayed on Booking. The radiator was broken, we could not turn off the heating. It was so hot that we thought we were going to suffocate. We had to sleep with the window open because the AC was not working. Also, the water was turned off for repairs without the guests being notified about 2 hours before check out. We left without being able to take a shower… The staff was nothing about our complaints. Our worst experience. We do not recommend.

The room was not really clean. We had to wait 2 hours after we arrived to get some towels, and even then, I had to wait 15 minutes for hot water to take a shower, as if that was not enough, there was no shower gel and the bathroom was full of water, even though I closed the shower doors, no insulation. The didn’t even give us some batteries for the TV remote. It was my worst staying at a hotel. Do not recommend, at this price you can get a nice and clean Airbnb apartment.

Pros: Central location, friendly staff, good price at the time of booking (relative to the other hotels in the area). Cons: The rooms are not soundproof so it sometimes gets a bit too noisy. The overall price was quite high, but lower relative to similar hotels in the area (at the time of booking).

Apollo Central is a great hotel in Sibu, near old historic centre. Very friendly people and nice rooms, restaurant serves great food. Strong breakfast is a must before you go exploring surroundings. There are lots of places to see around and you can visit them by walk.

The hotel itself is nice, clean. But we have identified a couple of problems that have made our stay that less pleasant: a lot of flies that keep coming out of nowhere and made our sleep terrible as you could hear them buzzing by your ear. That could’ve been easily prevented by installing window nets. The second problem is the thermostat: you are not allowed to change the temperature - it only stays at 23 celsius and the up and down buttons have been either deactivated or we haven’t figured out how to use it (very unlikely as it was a pretty straightforward device). Also, the AC goes on and off whenever it pleases and you don’t really have control over it. So at some times in the night it was really hot, other times really cold. Also, the sound proofing is bad to non existent. At about 11pm , our neighbor started watching TV and we could cleary hear everything they were watching (as if he was in the room with us). The breakfast was scarce - small buffet, not a big variety. The scrambled eggs were off (i have not yet encountered eggs with gray patches). Later edit: The AC device in the wall was broken. It was held up by scotch tape and the buttons on it did not work. Really bad experience because of this as the AC could not be adjusted.

We stayed for just one night, and everything was excellent. The hotel is clean, neat, and very modern. The bed was soft, with a large double mattress and high-quality linens. Big towels, air conditioning, and two TVs were also provided. The room for three people consisted of two separate rooms, which was very convenient. We especially appreciated that the sofa was already set up and made for our child upon arrival. There were slippers, toiletries, and a minibar in the room. The hotel has a restaurant, and breakfast was included in the price. The food was tasty, with a good variety of options. Free parking is available near the hotel. The location is perfect — just a 10-minute walk to the old town. It's ideally situated: far enough from the noise but close enough to enjoy the charming squares and historic atmosphere. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Recommend!

A nice hotel overall. If you're looking for a balanced hotel to stay overnight at, you've found it. It's luxurious enough to accommodate whether you've come on a weekend trip with the family or just on business in the city. The rooms are nice and spacious enough. The beds are comfy. It is indeed a tiny bit far from the city centre and it could have more parking spots. The food is good.

The staff were nice, the room however was really not up to scratch. And for the price we paid for the room (the most expensive on our entire Romanian trip... and the worst room of the entire trip) it was by far the biggest let down. The rooms smelt of old smoke, wall paper peeling, dust, and dirty floors...it really was not up to our standards. I also think the price we paid coincided with the Untold music festival and so they really hiked the prices up. We paid almost double the price for almost 10% of the charm and hygiene we received in other places.

Room was not very clean. On the apartment, the second bed (sofa) was very small. Bathroom seems old and not very well maintained. Shower has a very bad design, therefore the water is flooding the entire floor.

The food is very good. We tried several items on the menu, and everything was 10/10. The service is great too. The waitress was very nice and helpful. Everything was very clean and tidy. If we come so Sibiu again, we are definitely visiting this place again.

There is nothing to distinguish this place from thousands like it. The food is bland, the options not that many, the service merely functional. The whole experience uninspiring. But wait! There is something here that others lack: the indelible character of provincialism, of the small, self-serving family business, of having survived the boom of openness to the West and its economic models, of competition and improvement. I'm giving +1 star for the quiet picture of stagnation this place so vividly paints. Go ahead, try it for yourselves!

Traditional cuisine, not expensive, very well cooked. Beer is not expensive aprox 1 euro for 0.5. For food best dish is the pork knuckle - around 5 euro - more than 1 kilo of food :)

Some dishes are great, some are mediocre at best. The prices are very low. An overall good experience, if you know what to pick from the menu.

Disco noise from the discotheque approx. 400 m away all night long until shortly before 7 am. Obviously a problem known to the management but unresolved (see also previous feedback on this issue). Very friendly and understanding staff provided a different room with less noise during the night - supposedly in an accommodating manner - a little less noisy, but still an acoustic ordeal. However, it turned out afterwards that I had to pay for the move. If this was a way of increasing turnover, would it be a little harder for the management to deal with the noise? Without any night's sleep, all the criteria of a hotel (e.g. facilities, cleanliness, breakfast) remain irrelevant to me. Anyone who is not *very* tough when it comes to booming night-time noise is simply lost in this hotel, at least at weekends.

We are a group of 30 people who had an agreement with the restaurant to choose what we wanted from the menu for 75 lei. They did not keep their commitment by forcing us to take an imposed menu. The quality of the menu was deplorable, they robbed us by not respecting their commitment. In addition to this, the waiters are lost and unpleasant.

I was surprised by the beauty of the room. It is a shame that the sink in the bathroom had not been cleaned after the previous visitor. The airport is easy to reach, less than 30 minutes by foot.

Although it is not a new hotel it was very clean and comfortable. The staffs and receptionist were extremely helpful and friendly. 5stars! Breakfast was a mix of Romanian and western selection I enjoyed it. Just across the street is a supermarket that we stocked up groceries. Very reasonably priced too.

Terribile experience, dirty rooms, there was underwear that wasn't mine in my room, melted chocolate on the floor (i hope It was chocolate), rude and incompetent personal, they asked us to move a bed from a room to another since it was missing, they gave the wrong rooms to each person of the group, we asked to keep ice (for medicine) in the freezer and they put It in the bridge. One of the worst hotels i've ever been.

Great stay for a late night flight arrival. Close to the airport and great soundproof rooms. Breakfast, not the best, but happy with the room. The bathroom needs some refurbishment however you can see that is sparkling clean everywhere.

The room is very nice, clean, modern. Good value for the money. City center is 15,20 minutes by foot (the center where Ramadan hotel is located). From there it takes another 10 minutes to go to the historical center. I will choose to stay here again next time. Very nice place and reception, they also provide bottled water for guests at no charge.

Quiet and peaceful place. The rooms are extremely clean and beautiful, the only thing missing is air conditioning.

I can say that the room was clean. The bathroom had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable and. best thing? Was quiet! And half an hour walking distance from the city center was also a plus. The only thing thst was average was the breakfast. But overall I'm satisfied

I've stayed here for 3 nights. Very nice decorated for Christmas, rooms are good size, clean space, and respectful and helpful staff.

The place is clean, there are few tables in the back where you can make a nice barbecue. Around got plenty stores to get something to eat if you want, a small store 1 min away and 2 Profi stores 5-7 min away. The bus station is not to far around 500m. And if you don't mind walk is just a 20min walk to the center of the city. For a 2 days visit of the city was a nice place to stay.

Rooms perfectly clean. Has a work desk. Nice 32" led TV. Wireless is working like a charm. Has a small terrace in the back where you can enjoy your morning coffee after the breakfast. It's my second time here . Would definitely xome again. Acces to a non stop shop and good fast food restaurants nearby. 10 minute walk that you can enjoy till you reaxh the city center.

I liked the stay. The room was clean and cozy. The building was in the old city near the centre. It was easy to get to any interesting destination. The personal was very positive and helpful. I really liked the little gifts they have left for my children.

Unbelievable, the host is the most kind person ever. I've been in Sibiu for surgery, and the host took care more about me than the hospital staff, even if they didn't had to. Rooms are super clean, big, big shower, everything you need. Fridge, AC, etc. Very close to Sibiu town centre like 5-7 minutes walk, and the price was very good. Outstanding family owned accommodation 10 minutes walk from the railway station and a similar distance from the main square. Very comfortable rooms in an atmospheric old building but with modern conveniences such as a spotless bathroom with good shower, and very welcome A/C. High speed WiFi. All in all, highly recommend. Old time hospitality provide by English speaking Ramona and family.

This is a very nice, clean and conveniently located guesthouse. It's on a quiet street in the old town, a short walk from the main center of Sibiu. The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, made to order. We stayed in a two-level room with a balcony that overlooked the old rooftops, a very nice and rustic view. I would stay here again.

We stayed for 4 nights in Sibiu and booked a room for 3 people (the capacity is for 4 people actually). The rooms are spacious and really comfortable, ours had a cute balcony too, the hosts are very welcoming and pleasant, the breakfast is very good and for a very convenient price. On our last day Ramona offered us a bottle of wine which was really kind of her. Totally recommend the place.

Like everyone already stated: Ramona is a dream of a host. Very helpful, warm and fun. The BnB itself was also very nice: good beds, spacious rooms, homey atmosphere, clean. The breakfast was a lovely experience too, but probably good to know that their breakfast mostly contains eggs.

This is not a 5 star hotel, be it boutique or otherwise. The reception area is very narrow. If one person is at the desk, another person does not manage to go by without squeezing around the first person. Two floors, no elevator. No assistance with luggage. Uneven stairs. If you're elderly or not fully body abled, you should take extra caution. When we checked in, we were told that we got an upgrade to a better room (first floor instead of a second floor), but the room had only one night stand/bed side table (it's a three star requirement to have at least one, for a five star hotel I would have expected one for each guest) and a broken TV set. I reported the TV to the reception, the answer was: Yes, we know about it, it will be fixed in the next few days. The information in the hotel's website is old and not updated. The website says they offer two complimentary bottles of water in the room. They don't anymore. Apparently there is a water dispenser in the breakfast area and they think that is suitable for all the guests (because everyone is more than willing to get dressed, get out of the room and go downstairs, cross a courtyard, to get a cup of water, at any time of the day or night /s). We stayed for three days (two nights, room was booked for three nights) - no attempt to change any of the bedding. Beds were not made, even though the website boasts a "turn down" service. The only thing that was replaced was a small soap that did not need replacing. We had to ask for more toilet paper. The bathroom floor was super slippery - to the point you could not simply stand in front of the sink without your feet slipping. No amenities in the bathroom except for shampoo, soap, shower cap and body cream (from a 5 star rated place, I expect to have a small vanity set with cotton buds and a small nail file, or even a small sewing kit). The bathroom was also extremely small. The space needed for the door to open was exactly the space needed to use the toilet or the sink. No suitcase support. We had to use the ironing table. No big mirror in the room. The only one was a small round one and the one in the bathroom. Thought there was enough blank wall space to install a larger mirror. The walls of the place are simply too thin. There was a family with small kids next door, we heard everything the kids did in the room. Nothing to blame the kids for. Just don't expect a lot of silence. The hotel does not have a restaurant. They offer only breakfast. But that is a one-lady affair. And if two tables need clearing, the milk in the coffee machine needs refilling and a guest asks for some more eggs, the lady will have to decide who should wait the longest. It's impossible to provide a 5-star breakfast service with just one person, however quick or friendly or proficient she might be. No ingredients displayed, no food names (so people with allergies should just have some tea, I guess). If you are foreign and do not recognize what a food is, again, good luck to you! There is only the breakfast option at the hotel. No restaurant available on the premises after the breakfast ends. The website of the hotel also says they have a spa. The fact that you have a shower with water massage options and you can book a massage do not add up to a spa. Of course, no pool. They say they offer parking. They don't. Parking is on the street, in front of the hotel. Yes, they have some CCTV pointing towards the cars in the street, like many other hotels in Hungary or France, which state honestly that parking is available on the street. Last but not least, after reading some of the other reviews, it should also tell you something that the management tries to dispute all the negative feedback and lives by the motto "you can't please everyone", instead of trying to improve what they offer...

We arrived very early by the train from Budapest. (Just before 6am)And there is a telephone number on the door. We phoned and the receptionist came out helped us to check in. The breakfast was simple but very nice. All the staff greeted us every time when we pass them. Room is very spacious and lovely. Highly recommended!

This boutique hotel is a jewel. The location is great, the host are polite and super attentive. The breakfast which is included is such a treat with great choices which exceeded my expectations for a small boutique hotel. If i find myself in these parts for a 2nd time, i will most definitely stay here again.

We had one of the smaller rooms. We felt that it lacked character and charm. The lighting in the bedroom and bathroom was really poor. The room was really dark and incredibly difficult if your a female who wishes to apply make-up. The room lacked adequate plugs. The included breakfast was ample and in a very pleasant dining room. The staff is very pleasant and helpful! The included free parking was a great bonus! For some reason we couldn't get hot water in the sink, but luckily the shower had hot water.

This location is a wonderful example of local architecture. Although you can see the building is quite old, tge rooms are tastefully decorated as to combine the traditional with the modern in a practical way. Another plus is that is close to the city center. It basically is in the center, a d close to the train station The hosts were great as well, vey helpful and friendly and they offer a great homemade breakfast, that was lovely!

Super convenient location, 3 min from railway station, 8 minutes from Piata Mare/Mica - the heart of old town Sibiu; impeccable fast communication with the landlord all the way, from reservation to check-out, impeccable room, nice furniture & all clean, comfortable, wifi, terrace for smokers, all in one word - Super! We will happily check in there again! (I found them after a double cancel on reservations on booking during the Artmania festival 2023... so for me...Casa Bacila was a life-savior this year!)

We reserved FOUR rooms at this establishment based on their advertisement clearly implying air conditioning. What we got was a nightmare in 98-degree Fahrenheit (37°C) heat with 80% humidity – an unbearable, dangerous sauna. The rooms were not all NOT AIR CONDITIONED, despite what the listing suggested. It was like trying to sleep in a steam room. When we confronted the owner about this critical, advertised amenity being missing (a matter of basic comfort and safety in these conditions!), he became immediately hostile and defensive. My father-in-law, concerned for his grandchildren who had just traveled from the dry heat of Las Vegas and were suffering in the extreme humidity, calmly explained: "My kids came from Vegas, I want them to be comfortable. With 98 degrees and 80% humidity, AC is reasonable." The owner's response? A sneer and the words, Then go back to Las Vegas to your AC." Let that sink in. Instead of acknowledging his false advertising or showing an ounce of human decency or concern for guests (including children) sweltering in potentially unsafe heat, he told us to leave the state if we wanted basic climate control that he falsely implied he provided. This wasn't just unprofessional; it was outrageously, offensively rude. To add insult to injury, we did not received a refund for these uninhabitable rooms. We were forced to leave and find last-minute, expensive, actual air-conditioned lodging elsewhere because staying in those rooms was not only miserable but felt unsafe, especially for the kids. Summary of Why This Place is Appalling: 1. BLATANTLY FALSE ADVERTISING: 2. Listing implied/showed AC. Reality: NO AC in extreme, dangerous heat/humidity. 3. UNSAFE & UNCOMFORTABLE CONDITIONS: 98°F + 80% humidity without AC is not just uncomfortable, it's a health risk. Rooms were uninhabitable. 4. EXTREMELY RUDE & HOSTILE OWNER: His response to a legitimate complaint was personal, insulting, and completely unacceptable. Telling paying guests to "go back to Las Vegas" is beyond the pale. 5. REFUSAL DO A FULL REFUND: Despite providing a service fundamentally different from what was advertised, they are withholding our money. This owner is not nice. His business practices are deceptive. His attitude towards guests is contemptible. Save yourself the misery, the potential health risk, the financial loss, and the verbal abuse. STAY ANYWHERE ELSE. We feel a moral obligation to warn others so they don't endure this scam and disrespect.

We had a fantastic stay in this spacious and comfortable place, perfectly located just a short walk from the iconic Bridge of Lies, surrounded by great restaurants and charming streets. The location couldn’t be better for exploring the old town on foot. The apartment itself was clean, and well-equipped. One of the highlights was the lovely courtyard, which added a peaceful touch to the experience. Although the courtyard restaurant was unfortunately closed during our visit, it looked absolutely charming, and we would have loved the chance to have dinner there. Everything exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be booking again the next time we travel to Sibiu!

We stayed here for 1 night with 2 kids. I highly recommend this apartment hotel and suites. It was a pleasure staying here. Very very clean and comfortable. We had Suite Maria and it is beautifully remodeled with all the amenities including washer/dryer which is a luxury while traveling with a family of 4. The apartment is perfectly situated- 5 minute walk to restaurants and old city center.

This is the third time I am staying in Casa Gallo for one week. The location is in the center of the town, 5 minutes away from the historical landmarks. Parking is available in the courtyard. I will always choose Casa Gallo for the kindness of the hosts, the exquisite interior and the cleanliness. Rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, there is a minibar, Nespresso and tea facilities in the rooms. Stayed for 2 nights and was blown away by location and quality. Feels like a boutique hotel. Spacious rooms, easy check in and Netflix sign in available in the room. Free parking is available in the courtyard, which Is a HUGE benefit for the location. We were at the back of all the cars parked so was easy to get in and out. The road is a bit busy but could still reverse out of courtyard with ease. Very good location - close to some great restaurants in the old town and quick to walk to the main centre. Breakfast was charged at 50 lei per person per day but was very tasty and the woman was so friendly - she remembered our drink order on the second morning. Only down sides were the air conditioning didn’t work so our room was very warm all night - but we didn’t say anything to the staff so they didn’t have the chance to sort our issue. The other issue is the road wasn’t very busy but you could hear cars and people with the windows closed. The light comes in through the blinds in the morning but we had eye masks so didn’t bother us. Would highly recommend staying here and would stay again if in Sibiu.
